Warranty Panasonic SquareTrade coverage electronic failure on the Panasonic 4K TV. I Was informed that Panasonic.com has no information about that warranty. A SquareTrade Plan was sent through the Panasonic website. Panasonic says they know nothing about that. Warranty starts: June 2016 for 4 years. Paid: $80.00 for the 48 months. SquareTrade refunded my coverage money but, now I'm stuck with a junk TV.

My tv had a video problem, I complaint to Panasonic (my request no. **). The service person came from nearest showroom. I thought they will sent from Panasonic but they sent local service person who’s not belonging to Panasonic. That person told me that, we need to change the backlight and if problem in panel that also we will change for that they estimated including service charges around 4000 rupees. I said them, "Ok you can take my tv for service." Thus they took my tv on last Tuesday and return on Thursday(11-10-2018) but they not rectified my tv problem as they committed. I asked them clear details why you couldn’t rectified. They told me that the parts are not available. But they charged estimated amount without proper justification.

This is first time I experienced worst service from one well known company. If they openly said to me, they can’t rectify the problem. I would have buy a new tv. But they didn’t tell that. I asked clear justification for that bill amount. What they did? Why they charged that much? They didn’t tell proper answer. I trusted Panasonic. But as per their brand logo, not a idea for life. It’s idea to misuse the customers. I did asked them to do third party’s service but they did without my consent. They cheated me. Please guys don’t go with Panasonic... Better you buy other brand, because their service will be dishonest.

Sir this is to inform you that I am not at all happy with the service & product of Panasonic. Sir I have purchased a Panasonic 49" LED TV 49CS580 on 29th Jan 2016. Even before completing one year from the date of purchase a thin line appeared on screen in the month of November 2016. So as the product was in warranty so panel replacement given. But now again on 31st August 2018 automatically picture gone & only audio is there. No picture. Only sound is coming. So on 1st September 2018 I given a complaint. (Complaint ID:**).

So on same day Panasonic technician visited and after checking he said panel has to be replaced. I said OK as at the time of purchase it has been assured to me that there is 3 years warranty applicable to my product from the date of purchase. But on the same day Mr. ** from Panasonic service center called up me over phone & said that the product is not under warranty anymore & I have to pay 42000/- Rupees for panel replacement.

Sir at the time of complaint log in ie on 1st September 2018 even customer care executive also said me that there is total 3 years warranty is there on my product ie 1 year full warranty & other 2 years will be only panel warranty. He said he checked in system & confirmed. But now Panasonic ** is telling that there is only one year warranty. I am feeling that I have been cheated by Panasonic. I always refer my friends, Relatives & customers to buy Panasonic for it's good service. But I never even imagined that I have to suffer like this. I thought Panasonic is a very good brand & good product but it seems I was wrong because only within one year panel gone & again within 15 months again panel problem.

I might have purchased Sony or Samsung or LG. I will never refer anyone now to buy Panasonic. I really hurted a lot. It's a very big loss for me. If my problem not solved I will go further to higher authorities & also escalate this to prime minister of India that how Panasonic brand is fooling to poor people in India. Sir I belong to a very poor family. My salary is only Rs.15000/-. I stay in a rented home. Sir I purchased LED TV in finance. Sir how could I pay Rs.42000 for panel replacement. Sir it's my humble request to you that please look into this & give approval for panel replacement as it is still in warranty. Sir please help me.

    Thanks & Regards.

Few applications stopped working like multimedia... etc. Service center person had checked and told the issue is with the motherboard and need to replace it which would cost 12000+. Extremely dissatisfied with the quality, never expected that a TV from a brand like Panasonic would not last for at least 3 years. Better yet, sell something you know will continue to work then you need not answer the complaints, I think you enjoy collecting cash upfront on product that was never worth what you originally collected selling it. Panasonic service is below zero. Never called me. Always me having to call them. With weeks of waiting to see if my five month old tv was under warranty. I was told it’s not. Was watching a lot of tv as I was sick and heard a pop and the screen had a spider crack on the top on the screen. If I didn’t see it myself I wouldn’t believe it! I was honest with them and looked online to find so many people like myself with similar stories. It’s called thermal cracking. Was told by Panasonic that does not happen ever. Asked repair guys and they all said the same thing. They would never give warranty on screens ever. So very disappointed. Although staff was polite you felt belittled and horrible for even calling!! I mean how dare I want something to last longer than five months. They did offer me a discount on my next tv... more than I paid for the first one!! Total joke!

It has many input/output jacks including HDMI, USB and standard RCA jacks which work well with my surround-sound system. 60-inch screen makes my living room look like a movie theater. I purchased my TV on the 10/07/17. I contacted Panasonic on the 20/12/17 to report a manufacturing default. The tv was collected by the service centre for repair and returned on the 18/1/18 after two repair attempts, one being a lost screen and almost a month later. The tv was returned with a replacement screen with worst defects. It was collected after many phone calls for inspection and was told that a replacement may be authorized as the tv had already been repaired once, but it would need to be collected for inspection. The service centre has confirmed that the repair has been unsuccessful and again is defective due to a poor manufacturing process.

As I have already had previous repairs I have said I want the tv replaced as the Consumer Right Act 2015 allows me to refuse further repairs. Panasonic have refused to replace my tv and placed a deadlock on the case. I now am £2499 out of pocket and no tv as the service centre has it. I am registered disabled and money is tight, so I cannot afford to buy a new one. They have potentially robbed a disabled person of £2499 and left them without a tv. Over the past couple of months I have on occasion been verbally abused by customer services representatives and lied to and promised call backs which have not happened. The customer service is disgraceful. I strongly suggest to avoid this unlawful shameful company like the plague!

To make clear, It is no longer available for me or anyone else who has a Panasonic TV with Freesat's Freetime, purchased before 2015 to receive the ITV Hub. HOW CAN THIS BE!

Is it Panasonic or ITV who have done this? Are we expected to by a new TV every two years because the manufacturer will pull the plug on apps once the TV is two years old? I bought another Panasonic TV last year and the ITV Hub still works, but for how long? How can a major respected manufacturer treat their customers like this! Panasonic is the worst company, they are selling inferiors products now. I was their regular customer, bought 13 LEDs. Earlier products were up to the mark but now they are supplying and selling inferior material and my TV got black spots just after 1.5 months of purchase. And their customer care service is the worst and egoistic. Now I have filed the consumer complaint and fighting legal battle. I will suggest all readers never buy Panasonic TV. When they have miserably failed to attend the customer like me who bought 13 LED TVs from them so think what they will to offer others. Their products are now not up to the mark. They called me first and promised to replace but now again they took U-turn. So never buy Panasonic. Go for other options, even I have bought now from other company, it is much better than Panasonic.

The picture looks so real that my dog barks at dogs in commercials. If I put the picture on hold, both of my dogs bark as if someone is looking through the set into our living room. Also, it's big, beautiful and I would not sell if for any price.

Its look and features are not as sleek as the new ones, but some shows play better than others. Also, I can't use a universal remote, unless I can find an old one on Ebay. So, if I didn't have my laptop to watch most TV shows and movies on the web, I would get a new TV.

Also on CBS and USA channels we get voice over explanations, during non-dialogue times. It tells us to go into our menu to turn it off, but we can't. I have bought 2 Panasonic LED smart T.V.'s 3 years back in 2013 and at the time on inquiring was told by the manager at the dealership that the TVs were made in Japan. He attempted to demonstrate this by hitting the TV screen with his hand to show me the difference between a Chinese made TV and the one that he was selling me. Three years later the smart TV with the 47" screen lost the picture & when the technician opened the back cover it had a made in China sticker on it while the picture tube assembly had 'LG display Co.Ltd.' printed on it.

The TV was sent to a Panasonic authorised service centre & I was informed after a few days that the TV picture tube had failed. Panasonic offered me a nonsmart 50'' TV at a price of Rupees 27,500/ which I had to accept for lack of an alternate or better option. The picture quality of this new TV is much inferior to the original smart TV that supposedly went bad and my parents cannot watch anything on the internet or youtube on it.

A few months later the 55" smart TV set too lost the picture and I was told that the picture tube had failed & a Mr. ** who is the sales head of Panasonic offered me a new nonsmart tv in exchange. The manager at the Panasonic service center attempted to convince me by telling me lies that the cause for the failure was due to the fact that there were a lot of open drains in the city that emitted harmful gasses that damaged the tubes. I was not willing to believe him and refused to take the offer. My father decided to inform his friends through Whatsapp about the issue with Panasonic TVs and was advised by one of his friends to get it checked by a local technician. We called the technician who came to my home and took a total of 20 minutes to repair the TV set and explained to us that there was a small circuit in the TV that was broken.

I would like to inform customers not to buy Panasonic products as the they are operating a scam where they try to sell you a new nonsmart TV that is of very inferior quality & that you cannot access the internet with or play/download games while they keep or sell your smart & superior quality TV by lying to you that it cannot be repaired.

They say it is a manufacturing defect and Panasonic's responsibility. All three TVs have a problem with the display panel losing the picture. Panasonic says I have to call and schedule an appointment for someone to come out and check the problem. The process should take 7-10 days. That means I am without my TV for 7-10 days. When I said that, that was unacceptable. I was told that's the way it is. Walmart's service is terrible and Panasonic just doesn't care. While my annual sales do not mean much, I am sure others feel the same way. Perhaps they should send their product development team back to school and move the manufacturing away from China. Remember that even at a great price a broken camera is worthless. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from this company. I paid $169.00 at Costco 10 months ago. But again after seven months its display panel damaged. It's only one year 2 months I purchased this product and the same issue is repeating within a timeframe of seven months. What I have to conclude from this whether the replaced panel is also defective one? I'm really disappointed about the quality of this product. If I need to repair this TV then have to pay an amount of 14000. We are purchasing a product with the good brand value not to use it for one year.

I had contacted Panasonic Area service manager (Trivandrum). As per him it's not possible to repair this product with free of cost. It's not my fault then why I have to spend again 14000 for repairing this product. Only it crossed two months of the warranty period and how can I believe that even after spending this much money again the issue will not happen after seven months. Considering the purchase date and recurring issue with the panel I'm expecting that you have to repair this product with free of cost. The item code is PANTH32C410D. Service Request: **

I emailed the receipt 2 times, which Panasonic is stating they only received it once after my warranty had expired. No one had ever called me, even after sending the proof of purchase a second time. I was blatantly ignored with my request to have my television repaired.

After a month and a half of being unsuccessful in reaching a live person in the correct department, a Panasonic representative told me that even though my t.v was out of the warranty (by 2 months) they would still fix it, given that I had filed while it was still covered. After contacting the provided repair specialist, they informed me Panasonic has not contacted them. After trying for a few days and being unsuccessful at reaching a supervisor, I was finally able to speak with someone claiming to be a supervisor. I purchased a 50" Panasonic plasma TV in June 2013, model TC-P50ST60. This week the TV died - no picture or audio, just a repetitive red right flashing at the bottom of the set - flashes 7 times then off a few seconds, and this repeats itself. I looked in the owner's manual for troubleshooting, and this section is a joke. It is actually the FAQ, but it does provide the question "Why is the screen blank with the power indicator blink?" The answer is the TV has gone into shutdown mode to protect itself, and try unplugging for a few minutes.

I did that and still no audio or video. So I called the toll free number (twice) and both times spoke to an outsourced call center who had no other solutions other than call the authorized repair center in my area. I called one of the two in my area, and the gentlemen who answered was the owner and he told me he no longer repaired Panasonics because it became too difficult to get parts, and he retiring. I asked him about the other repair center and he said they closed their doors the day before. So I again called the Panasonic toll free number (again an outsourced person took my call) and told me the next closest repair center was at least 60 miles away.

I live in a fairly large metropolitan area (population >1 million), and there are only 2 authorized repair centers, and both no longer are in business or do not repair Panasonic TVs??? So I sent an email to Panasonic asking what other choices I have regarding repairs, and the response I received back from the Panasonic Customer Care Team was the standard cookie-cutter reply that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. Well, that was 72 hours ago and no response. Very poor quality and support all around. I would have rated this NO stars but I could not continue without at least one star.

If there is anything bad I could say about it, it is the fact that, just like all other brands of TVs, it doesn't have connections on the back for my older equipment. It has one set of RCA jacks. When I bought the TV, I found that all manufacturers are doing this, making my other older equipment useless since they aren't always connected.

One of my pieces of equipment is a Panasonic DVD recorder (no longer available in the U.S. thanks to the U.S. entertainment industry). I can plug it into the RCA jacks, or I can plug my TiVo DVR into the RCA jacks (my TiVo has HDMI, but I lost the HDMI connection during a lightning storm) but not both, so I can't record programs from my TiVo to the recorder (which isn't HD). Otherwise, I am a big fan of Panasonic. I find most of their products to be well made and long lasting. I bought a Panasonic vt30 plasma tv in 2011 and it will not power on. There are 7 red flashing lights. I contacted Panasonic about the problem and since it's out of the manufacture's warranty they will not cover the cost of the repair. I have used Google to see how many other people are experiencing this concern and it seems to be a very common problem from Panasonic owners. Many owners are having this problem after only a few months of owning the tv or it'll happen right when the tv gets outside of the warranty period. I think if they are having so many component failures of the same kind, they need to stand behind their product and offer an enhancement warranty.

In my opinion, Panasonic offers good value, fantastic picture quality and a competitive set of features. Today's large-screen, "smart" LEDs with a myriad of apps are really changing the television landscape. The ability to stream a myriad of free content, play your favorite mp3's from a USB stick, display multiple HDMI video sources, and have a crystal-clear, monstrous screen for less than a thousand dollars is really spoiling society. I have had my Panasonic Model #TC-P42X5 TV for almost three years. It produces an excellent picture and up until recently has performed well with no problems. But then after a brief power outage at our home, I could no longer turn it on, and the red LED on the front would not light. Unplugging the T.V. from my surge protector and plugging it into a wall receptacle I knew had power, did not solve the problem.

I searched the internet for a solution to my problem and found one on a website that worked for me, which is as follows: I unplugged the T.V. from the receptacle and pressed and held the power button on the back of the TV for 30 seconds. (The website says 10 seconds is sufficient.) I plugged the T.V. back in the receptacle, pressed the power button once, and was able to turn it on. I then unplugged the T.V. from the receptacle and plugged it back into the surge protector, but again I could not turn it on. So I switched off the surge protector, repeated the above procedure, and again was able to turn the T.V. on. Hopefully, this will help anyone with a similar problem.

The color levels are very accurate and I am able to change quite a few picture settings in the menu to get the best possible picture based off how it looks in the lighting in my home. The black levels are probably the best that I have seen in a long time since the TVs on today's market don't come close. I have had no problems with picture burn-in and it was my concern with a plasma tv since we play a lot of games that have static information displays.

One of the only things that I would have say would be lacking with tv is that there are not enough hdmi connections available. We have quite a few devices that require an hdmi cable but we only have 3 connections so we have to very considerate of what we hook up or use a media processor with more inputs. The last thing I would say about this tv is that the sound quality is horrible when using the tv speakers. For me it's not a problem since we use a 2 channel stereo system but for those who want better audio this may steer you away from this tv.

I purchased this 65" Panasonic plasma TV, (model TCP65VT60) from East Coast TVs in September of 2013, replacing a Sony KP-57WS510 purchased in 2004. The new set was delivered within the expected time frame and arrived without issue. I had a problem with the mounting kit which East Coast's website recommended. A call to their support department resulted in them sending me a new mounting kit which works flawlessly; allowing me to extend and retract the 92 lb TV 36" and adjust its side to side angle 180. The built-in speakers are adequate at best. This isn't an issue with me as I have it in my 5.1 channel surround system. The TV looked pretty good right out of the box. A full calibration made it even better.

It is the best looking TV picture I ever seen and I seen a lot of them. I have yet to see an LED TV that can match this in picture quality especially when it comes to deep blacks and shadow detail. The only video device I've seen which bests it is a $25,000 dollar 4K projector from Sony. This is a Smart TV whose feature set includes wireless internet connectivity for streaming services. Internet, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and other services are built in. Each user can customize a home screen to their liking. There is a retractable camera which pops up and evaluates who's watching when the set is powered on. It then uses that person's home screen. I disabled it for that, but use it when Skyping.

I have called to Panasonic customer care and they have sent their authorized service center (GX-SYSTEMS & SERVICES). Technician came and said it's because of motherboard problem and within one week I have changed the motherboard that cost around Rs.4887 and they gave one month of service warranty.

Within 20 days same problem occurred, raised a complaint on Aug 20th 2015. Service center technician came and checked for some time. Then he told to give the TV to service center so that they can analyze and repair it. It's been more than one month. Today (September 27th 2015) only I brought the TV to home. Watched for one hour. Again same problem occurred. Really fed up with this issue. If they don't know to do repair then why Panasonic company have kept them as Authorized service center. I cannot pay to the service center anymore. I want a solution for this problem as soon as possible.

Dead. I've tried leaving it unplugged, I've tried holding down the power button hoping it would reset. Six hours later, I haven't had any success in getting it to power up. Very disappointing. TV will not turn on - black screen with flashing red light. Nothing in the user manual, nothing on the website and it goes downhill from there. Attempts to email from website result in bouncing you back to the home screen. Attempts to chat from the website result in a message popping up that chat is closed and call the toll-free number. Attempts to resolve problem via phone result in a frustrating circle of futility as you are bounced from one "automated assistant" to another. When you are finally directed to "press 7" if the problem is no picture and a flashing red light (which tells me this is a very common problem!), another automated assistant tells you what to try and to "remain on the line if this doesn't work so a customer service person can help you."

Did this - four times. The first time the automated phone started all over again asking automated questions. The second time, while I was trying to follow the instructions and left the line open in case I needed to talk to someone, it hang up on me. The third time, when I tried to get a live person, it sent me back into the automated assistant menu again. The fourth time it said the call center was closed. Seriously?!!!

I called the service desk and they sent a person to repair who adjusted few things so that the TV started. He mentioned that the problem may reappear. And it happened, next day same issues, my nightmare experience with Panasonic started. The service center doesn't know what to do. I had to call the technician who came to my home to fix it. He gave his manager number to me. I had to chase him for few days where he just reassurances that the TV would be replaced.

After 7 days, He choose not to pick up my calls at all. I called him around 20 times in 3 days, Service center has no updates. Luckily I got hold of the Area manager who assured me that the TV would be changed in 4 days. However on 4th day I got a call saying the TV is not available. I asked him to start the refund process which should take 20-25 days as per the area manager. I sent all the documents related to refund on 14th April. After 20 days, the person from which I was coordinating left Panasonic and gave me another number. Now the new person told me that this is pending with account department and would take another 10 working days. Now the time is over and this person has also stopped to pick my calls. As per service center, this particular person is the top level escalation. Now I feel like screwed and cheated.

Being a electronics person, I do understand the part where the items may go wrong anytime. However it is hard to understand the unhelpful and uncaring attitude of Panasonic towards a general customer. If the process would be smooth they would have lost one product but gained a customer. However they have lost a customer. I would recommend everyone NOT to buy Panasonic products not for their products but for the horrible support they gave afterwards. I am still worried about getting my money back as it is a lot of money from my end. It is a hard earned money. Not sure to whom can I escalate this so that I can get my money back.

After going through the AT&T service protocol we found it was the TV which was able to reboot itself, probably because it had been turn off and unplugged. In Feb 2013 I made my first contact with Panasonic and was given the name of a service repairman in my area. He replaced the on/off switch but the problem persisted.

I called him several times and we tried to fix it over the phone and with a second service call. He finally decided there was no more he could do. I called Panasonic again and they referred me back to the repair service. Sensing I was in a "pass the buck" I went back to AT&T. They have responded many times but cannot do anything about the TV powering off. To this actual day (May 19, 2015) the set powers off at random. Spoke to Panasonic today and I was blamed for not calling more within the 24 month warranty period and, of course, I got no help. I have an issue with the 5 year warranty which I paid for separately on my Panasonic plasma TV bought in December 2011. My Plasma TV has currently been with approved Panasonic repair agent called DK Audio Visual in Morden Surrey since the 15th of January 2015 after sparking and arcing inside the panel. A possible fire hazard without being too dramatic. On the 27th of February they (DK) are still none the wiser as to whether they can fix my plasma TV. They did not have an additional 2nd part they needed and ordered to carry out the repair apparently a totally new Plasma gas screen.

DK have already replaced the motherboard to the TV without success and after 7 plus weeks of being without my Plasma set I wondered if I would ever have a Panasonic TV to use to view ever again. I was very unhappy about the whole situation and frightened to really show my displeasure to the repairers as I believed it will only make matters worse to get a resolve. But I believe this matter can be resolved quickly by giving me back my £700+ paid for my TV set and its extra warranty and this would sever my link with those organisations and allow me to replace my Plasma without having to wait for all the red tape and protocols. I wrote an email to the UK CEO and within 48 hours had a reply offering me a current range replacement. I had some issues on model and such but was told firmly that was their resolve (a model that retailed for £500 currently plus a free 5 year warranty on it) so still no TV as yet but a 3rd Panel in 6 years). We shall see.
