I bought this flat screen TV in November 2011 (it was made in September 2011). A thin line has appeared 1/4 up the display, just enough to be a distracting annoyance. The set is now beyond warranty and Emerson will now do nothing on my behalf. They won't even give any advice. They do not care that they sell a product with the lifespan of a mouse. My old analog TV lasted for more than a decade before the screen failed. My Acer flat screen monitor has performed faithfully for half a decade. One and one-half years after manufacture, the Emerson product failed. I recommend no one ever purchase any Emerson product.

Black Friday 2011, I purchase an Emerson TV 32" Model LC320EM2F. I did not start to use the product till June 2012. It was hardly watched and last week, we were watching the news and the power went off and will not come back on. I called Emerson and they refused to replace or repair it because it was out of warranty. I refuse to buy any of their products again, and I advise anyone considering buying an Emerson product not to.

Please do not buy any of those TVs. I bought a 32” LCD TV at Walmart and in less than 4 months, the TV turned off by itself. I had to wait, like two months, in order to get the TV fixed, and I was told they would send me a refurbished one; everything looked fine at that moment (they have poor customer service). So it has been less than a week with the refurbished TV they sent me and it has the same issue - it is completely black and it won’t turn on. I called them and the customer service representative on the phone told me the same process, that I have to wait to get another refurbished TV, which implies that I have to wait another four more weeks in order to get another TV.

I purchased the 40-inch LCD television from WalMart at the Black Friday Sale 2011. I purchased two more the following year, which I now regret. After owning the first television for 15 months, it stopped working. It no longer powers on and the replacement part is $79.00. I will never purchase an Emerson product again.

I had an Emerson 32" HDTV given to me last year. I think it is about a year old in March of 2013. It has got to where it was hard to turn on the last few days and finally just won’t turn on. I also won a small Emerson and it has done the same thing. I went back to Walmart this morning, Feb. 25, 2013, and they told me the store only carries a 30 day on them, and I would have to contact Emerson. She had no number at all that I could call. She said Emerson rather I e-mail them but this is the best I can do.
After 2 TVs like this, I am fed up. There is no one close by that works on Emerson TVs. The closest place is an hour and half drive away. I will be waiting to see if I hear from Emerson. Don't tell me to try this and try that; I already have. I have read all these complaints and so many are having the same problem. That tells me that Emerson has a giant problem. Someone needs to do something about this.

The screen is showing mountain like shapes in the background. This was noticed around a yr. and a half. I bought it in the first part of March of 2011. When I called tech. support, I was told I had a one yr. warranty and that there was nothing that they could or would do. I do not think that a T.V. at that time and cost should display such problems around a year and a half. The standard one yr. warranty is too short, and is to imply that I should have purchased an extended warranty. I do not think that I should pay extra for something that should not break down that soon. I guess I should buy a new T.V. every 2 yrs. Thank you Emerson.

I bought a 32-inch Emerson LC320EM2F on Friday after Thanksgiving 2011 and put it in a spare bedroom. It has been turned on less than five times and will not come on. I do have the receipt but Wal-Mart says they only have a 90-day return. I told them that was the last $1 I would spend there. I called Emerson and they said there was only a 1-year warranty and I would have to take it to the repair shop. I told them Emerson used to be a good brand as I loved Emerson when I was a kid and I can't believe they are now selling junk! I told the guy it's the last Emerson I'll ever buy! I pissed him off and hung up on him. He actually had the nerve to call me back and not say anything. I told him I would turn his ** in to the FCC!

I bought my 40" Emerson TV in Nov. 2011 on Black Friday at Walmart. Lately, it has been taking several tries to turn it on and the picture on the screen when it does come on is delayed and I have to go through a long process to fix it. Today, I went to turn it on for my son to watch his cartoons this morning and it decided to not turn on. I checked power cords and everything. It just doesn't work. It's the worst $250 I have ever spent. Do not buy from Emerson! I will try my hand at calling CSR but from some of the other reviews, I doubt that is going to get me far.

I purchased a 32" LED Emerson TV in June 2012 from Walmart. The TV had very little use. It was in our bedroom and was used maybe one hour a week. On November 7th, election night, it went black and is dead! So $250 for 5 months of use! No satisfaction with Walmart and it cost $70 to repair. I decided not to give Emerson any more of my money. After reading all the reviews about these TVs, Emerson needs to take responsibility for obvious defective products. I plan to contact consumer product satisfaction agencies, i.e. Better Business Bureau, and take action! We all need to take action!

I bought a 22" Emerson TV from Walmart in August 2012. The TV is in a bedroom and not used very much. I powered the TV on in January 2013 and heard a pop. TV went black and is now dead. I can't believe that Emerson manufactures TVs that only last for 6 months. Buyer beware!

In trying to find out information about why our Emerson 32" began taking a dozen or more times to power on, I stumbled on this board and see that it is not just our TV and it's clearly a manufacturer defect. We purchased this TV on Black Friday 2010 and stood in line all night to get it. My mother also has one and is starting to have some trouble powering hers on. I called Emerson and they said, "Do you have the receipt" and I told them I didn't as it was two years old and did not know where the receipt was if we had it. I was just assuming they would have some troubleshooting help.
The CSR said, "Take it to a repair shop and get it fixed." I asked what the problem could be and he said, "A plethora of things." I said, "Well, out of the plethora, what might some of them be?" The CSR was no help and I felt pushed off the phone. It was horrible customer service! Clearly, this is a defect and should be recalled. I will be looking into how to find about getting something recalled.
Let me also point out that we just bought a 60" Vizio on Black Friday 2012 and after 2 months, the screen went completely black. It is under 90 days so, of course, they have to send us a new one, but 2 months? We also have the extended warranty on the 60" but we are still waiting on the freight company to even call about it being delivered and Vizio said it looked like it should be here by tomorrow, but still there is no call from the freight company who was to call 2-3 days after we called Vizio, which was 2 weeks ago. I am starting to believe that buying a TV on Black Friday is a bad idea!

The only response you will get is to send it in so they can determine the problem or order another. That was from many calls, different questions, same answer. I bought this TV from Walmart on 2/27/12. I thought it was a great deal for $240. Today, 1/12/13, we went to put the TV on and it was dead. We were just watching it about 30 minutes prior. This was a TV in our bedroom but we barely used it. For the 10 and a half months we had it, we probably watched less than 10 hours of TV on it. We tried all different plugs - and nothing. It's completely dead. Walmart won't make good on it because the warranty just expired. I'm going to call Emerson to see what they have to say.

I bought a 22-inch Emerson TV last week. When I change channels, the volume goes up or down. While watching a show, say it goes to five commercials, it gets extremely low, then the next one gets extremely high. I called Emerson Support and they said it was the way the signal was coming into my TV. I explained that I have three other TVs that work perfectly. I explained to him that if you google the problem, it states that the problem lies with an IC chip that is supposed to control the volume. He still stated that the problem was the signal and not the TV. I'll never buy an Emerson TV again.

Wow, I wish I had read these articles months ago! I also bought my Emerson 40-inch LCD on Black Friday 2011 at my local Walmart. It stayed in the box until the last week of August 2012, when we finally started using it. The second week of December, it just decided it wouldn't turn on ever again. That put me almost 3 weeks over on my year warranty, of course! So I'm basically screwed. I will go back to the off brands because I personally seem to have better luck with them! In 2009 on Black Friday, we bought another top brand TV that was a piece of crap as well. No more Black Friday Walmart deals for me!

I purchased a 32" LCD HD Emerson TV set from Walmart on Black Friday 2012. I waited in line for almost 3 hours only to find out when we plugged the TV in, it didn't work. I talked to customer service and arranged to get a new TV sent. After 3 weeks, I got my new TV only to see that there was a giant hole in it from where it had been handled improperly. I called customer service again and they told me I have to wait an additional 3 weeks for a third TV. They would not give me quicker shipping, priority, or anything! This was supposed to be a Christmas gift and if this third TV is okay, it won't be until Jan. 14ish that it will be received. They wouldn't let me get my money back and wouldn't do anything for me to make this easier or quicker. My advice: don’t buy Emerson. I never will again.

I received a 32-inch flatscreen Emerson TV for Christmas in 2011. The product was made in Sept of 2011, Model #: LC320EM2, Serial #: DS6A1139128201 (A17FTHUH). The TV was not even used until March of 2012 because I wasn't able to get cable where I was living. On Dec. 26th 2012, the product shut itself off and is no longer working. I have changed plugs to make sure it was not just the plug and the TV would not even turn on. I have just gotten off the phone with Emerson, and they are not willing to make good on this. At first I was told it would be $110.00 for a diagnostic test. I said in no uncertain terms was I paying $110.00 on top of the price of the TV (and in Canada Walmart charges $25.00/electronic device for an environmental fee).
$135.00 of extra charges on top of the cost of the TV made this device not a good deal at all. I told the customer service rep, and I use the term "customer service" very loosely, that I was not paying $110.00. Miraculously, the fee then became $70.00. I was told that this fee was payable immediately and I was to give him my credit card number over the phone. I was born on a day but not yesterday. I will not be giving my credit card over the phone to some faceless person working at the end of a 1-800 number.
So I am stuck with a 32-inch flat screen TV that is only good at this point as a paperweight. I will never again buy an electronic product from Walmart since they refuse to stand behind a defective product they sold nor will I ever buy any Emerson product again. I, too, join the long list of people who have been ripped off by Emerson.

I purchased an Emerson TV. The box remained unopened for 9 months due to an illness in the family. When opened, the power cord was missing. Customer service told me I would have to pay for a cord, which seemed okay to due to the time lapse, but the cord's arrival was late. I spent about an hour on the phone with various customer service persons and never did I receive the same answer twice. I had been placed on several holds, the first for 9 minutes while trying to track the order. I was disconnected twice while trying to speak with a supervisor to get some answers. I was told it had been shipped and was due to arrive in my mailbox today; she had the tracking number in front of her. Then, I received a call back saying the order never went out due to an address error.
Funny, my address had been verified via some online system that they used at time of the original order, and then on an earlier call. They said they were sorry and would be willing to place another order today for me; with no expedited shipping, no refund or really, any care, other than to say sorry for the multiple calls and inaccurate info I had been given. There was no one above a supervisor to speak to, but I could email them if I thought I had received poor customer service. I have been in customer service for over 20 years. I believe I have never received such poor customer service from any other company. I would never consider buying any of their products again.

I called Emerson, and they said they would repair or replace it with a refurbished one for $70.00, 2-4 weeks wait time. If that one quits working, they would send me another refurbished one. November 26, 2012, my husband purchased this TV (26" Emerson) for my birthday. The first night, it worked great - that was the only good night. First, the TV lost color and I watched in black and white. Second, when setting the sleep to turn off in 60, 90, or 120 minutes, it turned off immediately and then would turn itself back on 5-10 minutes later. I returned back to Wal-Mart 12/9/12 and purchased a different brand. The first Emerson TV we owned lasted approx. 3 years, but developed a blue line through the screen. I called Emerson only to be told that I was looking at around a month before they can get this one taken care of. In my opinion, this is downright crappy service for the simple fact that this is supposed to be a new TV and the second I plug in, it doesn't work. Now they want me to wait a week to receive a box to ship back and once they receive my TV, they will then repair it then send back. That is all together a month of no TV. When I talked to customer service, all they can say is that's policy! So Emerson, if you read this, I want you to know this is a horrible way to keep and earn customers. My family no longer shops at Walmart for a variety of reasons: the way they treat their employees and they don't care about their consumers in so many ways. This TV is just one of them. I purchased a 32 inch Emerson flat screen TV (LC320EM1F) from Walmart last year (November 2011) during Black Friday. Today my daughter attempted to turn on her TV and to our surprise, the TV would not turn on. Both the standy-by and power on buttons were "on" but no picture came on the TV. I immediately contacted Emerson who basically said there wasn’t anything they could do about my problem especially since I did not purchase a warranty from Walmart. I asked if anyone else called to complain about this product and the rep made it seem as though they have only received a handful of complaints. After reading these reviews, it’s clear that having a warranty would not have solved my problem. While attempting to get an address to write a complaint letter, the Emerson rep named Devin rudely hung up on me. I called back and was able to speak with the supervisor named John who was able to give me the email address. It is so sad to know that Emerson manufactured such a defective product and it is even worse that Walmart stood by this product by selling this product to consumers.

I am so disappointed that I purchased 2 TVs and it did not even last a year! I would not recommend this brand to anybody.

I bought a 22" Emerson LCD TV at Walmart in July 2011, and it just went off. I called Walmart, and they said it was not their problem and to call Emerson. I did, and they said the warranty ran out and it was not their problem. After reading all the complaints, I guess I am happy it lasted this long. I will never purchase another Emerson product and will tell every one I know to review the complaints before purchasing a Emerson product again. It's so sad to think that people spend their hard-earned money especially with this economy and the TV last a year or less and no one can do anything about it. Emerson should be ashamed to even make such a product, and Walmart and any other store should not even sell Emerson.

I bought an Emerson LCD 32" TV Model LC320EM2 from Walmart on 12/04/2011. We use the TV in our bedroom and it has rarely been used (probably under 20 hours of use). My husband decided to go watch TV in our bedroom Monday night for a few minutes (it was our 18th wedding anniversary). He turned the TV on and watched it for just a few minutes and it cut right off and it would not come back on. We tried unplugging and replugging. It did not work. So now we are stuck with a new TV that will not work & out of $255. To send it off and for them to look at it, they want $70 more but after reading these other reviews, my mind is made up. On Black Friday (2011), my wife and I purchased a 32" Emerson TV (model LC320EMF) on special from Wal-Mart for our guest room. After waiting for three hours, we finally got one after midnight. We installed it in the guest room, and it was played perhaps less than a half dozen times. While cleaning the room for a guest, my wife put on the TV, and after approximately 20 minutes, it died. After many hours on the phone, at different times, I was told I originally purchased the TV in August. I had to e-mail them the receipt to verify the November purchase. I spoke to three different people - the last one promising I would receive a return box and shipping instructions with a charge for repairs. This was two to three weeks ago, but I have received nothing. This should have been a recall with free replacement. Emerson received a bunch of faulty TVs from China and should make it good. Emerson will never be on the top of my list.

My son started college last September 2011. In November 2011, he bought a 32-inch Emerson TV with his own hard-earned money. This TV has not been used for more than 3 months as he was living with my brother and his TV was the main TV used for watching. Josh then moved back home in January and the TV sat in the same spot in a climate control area until he went back the beginning of August. He went to turn the TV on and it would not turn on, no power whatsoever. He went to Walmart and they told him that there was nothing they could do. Bologna! They scanned the serial numbers and know when an item is sold. He didn't buy it on Black Friday either, so he spent like $400 on it. This is ridiculous that no one can do anything about this situation, especially when a product like this has only been used for 3 months or less. I don't think so. I think the Better Business Bureau would have a heyday with this one for as many complaints as I am seeing on this review. I surely hope that they are not selling this TV anymore and if they are, I highly recommend consumers to not buy it!

40-inch flat screen quit in 48 days - I have the same problem, and Emerson and Walmart were of little to no help. I am fortunate to know someone that does TV repairs and he was able to assess the problem for me - for my TV (ModelLC407EM1), the problem was a ceramic fuse in the back that blew. I purchased a bunch of them at $2.73 each. I think the $110 charge would be for the labor to get to the fuse and put the back on the TV again. Yeah, it's a pain but it was the only recourse I have since Emerson refuses to honorably honor their warranty.

No one sent a box so I took my own TV I paid for and am still paying for a part to see what the problem was and it is only a fuse and now no one in Customer Service will help me due to the problem that they never told me that I could not do it in the first place.
I am so upset that I could purchase a product and just need a fuse to fix it when they should have sent the box I asked for way back in June. It is now August and still no answer or box. Nothing, so I took the TV apart to see what the problem was and it's only a fuse, nothing more and they will not contact me and blocked my phone number because of me taking my own TV apart to see what's wrong. Now that I know, they will not help me. What kind of issue is this about? No one told me I could not open my own TV, period. There's nothing wrong with it, only a fuse. No one will even send me one.
Why? What is the deal with this thing? I say to all who own any of these TVs to stop buying them. Stop supporting this company for they can treat people such as myself who is a kind person who owns her own business and land and much more and would never do something as cruel as this company has treated me. I am so upset that I cannot even think to figure out what to do. I am very upset at this company. All I need is a fuse for my TV and they're mad at me for nothing. They never, not one time told me I could not take my TV apart. Also they did nothing not even one time and I called back in June to fix my TV that they did not do one thing about.
I expect to get a call as I own 3 of your TVs and if anything, I am not happy that you tell me after the fact that I cannot open my TV to find out what's wrong when you all did not do your part. Everyone who reads this, do not buy their TV as it is a scam. I called customer service and had to pay $110 to get pkg materials sent to me to send it back for repair. A week after mine quit working, so did my mother-in-law's. We purchased them the same night. They want another $110 so she can send hers back. It's been less than 6 months. A TV should last longer than that! My husband has a call into a supervisor but of course, hasn't heard from her since leaving the message. I'll never own another Emerson product. On 5-10-2012, I did get a lady on the phone and she said that I needed to fax her a copy of my original recipe. I told her that the fax number was wrong. She gave me another one, and then she said that she would give me a call back when she got it. I am still waiting. I have called as many Emerson electronic numbers as I can. They all say the same thing, "Sorry, we don't take care of that model." What a joke. I will never buy this brand again. I think it is sad that this company won't stand by their products. I called in September 2011 for my 26" LCD TV. The first company took all my information and said we will call back. And then I left for Florida and got back and never got a call, so I called back with my file number and everything. I was transferred to another company because in January 2012, there was a change of branch. So my file number was not good anymore–that’s what they told me. So I went through the same thing again and they told me we will call back and never did. So I went to Wall-Mart in New-Brunswick and told them my story and they could believe the service. So the girl there said, “Usually, we don't do this for a customer, but I will call for you.” And she did. She could believe the 25-minute wait and that she added to push to have service.
So I got the name of the girl that served her and she said just to send a fax and they will send a paper for a refund. But I have to call them back first. So I did and then they told me when I was calling I was giving a number for a 19" TV and now I'm giving a number for a 26" TV. But the only number I was giving is for a 26" TV that is the only TV I have in my house. The other one in my house is a 55" Samsung—the best TV ever and the best service ever with Samsung! She knows the company doesn't want to do nothing for me. So I spent $300 for your TV for 2 months and now I got no service, no TV and I lost $300. So, do you think I'm happy about your service? No!

I should have bought an extended warranty. I maintain that if they made a decent product, I would not need an extended warranty. We are more fortunate than others since we had 20 months use. He came home in May, and I presented him with the TV. Right away, it started having problems turning on. The lights would blink, but it took several tries to turn it on. He kept hoping it would just "go away", and of course it didn't. It just got worse. Now it's to the point that it sometimes takes 20 or so tries to get it on. I lost the receipt, so Wal-Mart wouldn't take it back. We just moved it to another room, and tried to hook up a VCR and DVD player to it. The VCR doesn't work at all with it, and the DVD player only plays in black and white. I was researching online to see if there was a trick to hooking them up. I didn't find anything on that, but sure found lots and lots of the same exact complaint. They have to know they are selling an inferior product. I am not happy at all.

I bought an Emerson HDTV (32 inches) on black Friday of 2011. When I turned it on for the first time it had a black line running vertical from top to bottom, so I packed it up and took it back to Wal-Mart in Middletown, DE to exchange it. I had paid $188.00 for the TV and used my daughter’s employment discount card to get it down to this value and they had the same TV but it was $248.00. They wanted me to pay the difference out of my pocket for the same TV after a bunch of bull ** and 25 minutes they finally agreed to give me the TV. Now I am trying to register my product on the web and I can't find the website even after I typed the web address they provided. This is **. Emerson ** and I never will buy their product again. Wal-Mart needs to find better bed fellows to do business with and Sam would never let this type of business go on at Wal-Mart. The customers really miss him. And the employees need to stop trying to rip their customers off.

I purchased a 40 in LCD Emerson TV from Wal-mart on black Friday. Standing in line for four hours for this "great deal" that was too good to be true was exactly that. On New Years Eve, while watching a DVD, the screen got suddenly dimmer. The brightness adjustment on the remote did nothing. I called the hotline number for the warranty and have not been helped at all.
Yesterday, I was told that the cable might be the issue. The HDMI cable was brand new! Regardless we performed the troubleshooting that the technician told us to do. As of right now, I am on hold for a second time today for 20 minutes for the warranty department. The first phone call was transferred to a voice mail without me even speaking to anyone.
I will most likely be getting a refund from Wal-mart for this piece of junk that they have sold now for 4 years with constant complaints. Emerson is not Emerson, the phone number directs you to Sunai Services located in China. I will never buy another Emerson product! My complaint will not end here. I will be reporting this situation to the Better Business Bureau in an attempt to stop this company from screwing people over. Lesson learned. If a deal sounds to good to be true it is!

We bought an Emerson 40" LCD HDTV on Black Friday from Walmart this year, 2011. When we got it home, we plugged it in and the right side of the screen worked with a line going right down the middle and the left side of the screen was black. It was obviously broken when purchased. When I called Walmart, they refused to do anything but an immediate refund.
They refused to try to help me get another (any kind of TV) knowing it was bought as a Christmas gift. They knew the products they were offering for black Friday were junk to begin with, and had no intention of trying to work with any customers for any reason. This not only speaks volumes about the quality of Emerson. This is good ole Walmart for you! Poor Sam. He's got to be rolling over in his grave knowing how low the business he worked so hard to make is now so sickening! Thank God this is America and we do have choices. I for one will pay any other price to keep from putting one more penny in the pocket of good ole Wally World!
You can do more for your hard to earn dollars nowadays by avoiding giving any of it to Walmart. Pay the same price basically from another company, but if you still choose to go to Walmart, beware. They do not care if the customers are satisfied anymore and have no problems telling you that!

I have an Emerson 42" LCD TV (model LC407EM1). My daughter bought this TV at Wal-Mart on June 13, 2011, for her dad's birthday. Everything seemed fine, until 94 days later, when the stupid thing made a popping sound, and went off. We called the complaint number, and was told to turn it off for 5 minutes, and try again. It never came on again. We were told to find the receipt, and they would send another TV, but because the warranty was only good for 90 days, we would have to pay $75 for shipping.
I looked everywhere for the receipt, and my daughter looked at her house, but to no avail. She had trouble making contact with the accounting department at Wal-Mart, because she works long hours, and they were always gone. She finally talked to a manager, and was able to authorize the accounting department to print off the transaction, and leave it at the service desk. By the time I was able to call and see if we could just get a refund, because there were so many complaints about the same problem I had, I didn't want to deal with the same thing happening again. We were told we only had 30 days to contact them again. We were not told that in the original phone call, nor were we told that they would have paid the shipping, because it was so close to the 90 day warranty. They could give us a special concession clause. I paid the $75, and be happy with a refurbished piece of junk, that likely will go out again, and still have no TV, just less money.

I went online to find out if other Emersons were doing this and yes, not only Emersons but other brands too. But along with this complaint were TVs shutting off, voice going in and out, so I knew what might be coming. Yesterday it started, and you can hardly watch it.
The picture was blinking on and off, voice was going in and out, and the dark spot was still there. I feel so sorry for all the other Black Friday buyers, because I saw so many people with the 40-inch Emersons in their cart. I purchased a 19 inch Emerson TV (model LC 195EMX in 03/2009), and last night, 12/13/2011, the volume turned up to the maximum level (which is 100 and extremely loud). I wasn't able to use the remote to do anything to the TV, and the volume buttons on the TV wouldn't work either, also when I pushed the "up volume", the setup box came on the screen, and started going crazy (jumping from box to box), and the sharpness, color, tint, etc went up to the maximum level as well. After calling Wal-Mart, they advised me to unplug the set, and plug it back in, but nothing changed.
Wal-Mart said the manufacturer's warranty was off (which I knew). They didn't have a contact number for Emerson, which sucked, and they gave me a website to go to, which was incorrect, but I managed to find myself, only to be given another number to Emerson, and after holding for so long, they get my information, and then tell me, "unfortunately there's nothing we can do, but you can take it to a local repair person, who's probably not going to work on that size TV, because it may be cheaper to just go buy another set". Well, I've been unemployed since May '09, and I'm barely making it as it is, and have a son graduating this school year, and I'm not able to afford those things. So it is what it is!
Ultimately, I thought, wow what a steal! However, now I feel that between Wal-Mart and Emerson selling these cheaply made products, something has to be done. The volume goes up, and is stuck on the maximum level, and the remote will not operate it either. From the other reviews, I understand that it is a common problem. On Nov. 2010, I purchased an Emerson LC320EM81. Now, it won't turn on. Walmart refused to take back and Emerson wants more money for the repair than for the TV, yet I have a warranty for 12 months! Simply outrageous!

The Emerson Flat Screen TV # LC320EMX is a piece of junk. After owning it for sixteen months, it stopped working and will cost more to fix it than to buy a new TV. How convenient that after the one year warranty expires, so does the TV.
I will never buy another Emerson product again and I will tell anyone that is going to buy a TV not to buy Emerson. It's a pure garbage.

I bought an Emerson 22 inch TV from Walmart and not even a week later, a thin black line appeared across the TV screen and would not go away. I called Emerson who, more or less, told me it was the panel and had I just purchased it? I said I did and he advised me to return it to Walmart and I am. I am not going to get another one.

On black Friday of 2010, I bought two TVs and both are having problems turning on.
I have read other complaints and I was wondering if there is a class action suit. Something should be done; there are way too many people having the same problem.

I purchased my LCD Emerson 32" TV in December of 2010. The first week of August 2011, it clicked off when my children and I were watching cartoons and the red standby button came on so I tried to turn it back on and the green power button comes on along with the standby button staying on. You can hear it click and then the green power button goes off and the screen, of course, stays black the whole time.
I called Emerson and they told me the manufacturer warranty was up in July 2011 so that sorry about my luck my TV messed up a little too late to be able to be fixed or replaced, and that I needed to contact where I purchased it, which was Walmart. Emerson told me that if I could get a copy of my receipt from them that I purchased it in December of 2010 that they may be able to help me.
Walmart tried to tell me they didn't even sell me the TV, that I needed to contact the company that made the TV. I explained to them that I had and what they said and Walmart told me pretty much the same thing Emerson said, "Sorry about your luck. You will just have to purchase a new television."

I bought a 32" Emerson TV (Model: LC320EM1F) on a Black Friday at Walmart last 2010 for my daughter's room who was with me for a short time. The TV does not turn on or function at all. Wow! What a rip off and a horrible product.
