    30 Minute Circuit Room is not used according to its purpose and when brought to the staff’s attention, it was dismissed. I could not get done in the 30-minute program because other members use it as the regular gym equipment, with multiple sets resting between sets, so no one can complete the circuit. It was staff and their management that failed to educate patrons. One patron told me she can do multiple sets on it and when she is done, she will get off the equipment. When I explained the purpose of the room, which is listed on the wall in BIG LETTERS, she still refused. Same response by management. Franklin, Wi 27th St location.

    I really don't understand how I have a membership with someone on it but they can't get in if I'm not there. It doesn't make sense if we have different time of work. If a person has access to it I feel it shouldn't be a problem

    I belong to the PF located in Dickinson / League City Texas. I have asked staff for two weeks at least 5 times to turn the water temperature warmer for the showers. In the morning the water is at best 70 degrees F. As I walk out I report this complaint to staff, yet every time I shower the water is lukewarm. If they spent as much time on customer complaints as they do harassing members about the bag policy it would be a better club. This location seems to be the only PF that spends too much time on customer bags on the floor. Unreal.

    I have join this Planet Fitness not too long ago, just because it's close to my home. Since day one, I have been very disappointed about how this gym is kept. Bathrooms are real squalid and sordid, toilet paper seems an option. Shower and sinks are just the same, and no hot water. When I asked the front desk about the hot water, she stated the heater was broken and she didn’t know when and if it was ever repaired. Unbelievable!!! A gym where hygiene and cleanness should be a must, here it seems just an option. It’s completely lack of management. What a shame.

    I froze my account while I was out of the country on Oct.15 for 2 months (Oct 17 -Dec 17) but they froze it December and January. When I went in on Dec 22, they told me my account was frozen and they had charged me on Oct 17 for Oct 17 - Nov 17. The refused to give me a month for the month they charge me (when I was out of the country) or give me my money back on Oct.15 for 2 months (Oct 17 -Dec 17) but they froze it December and January. When I went in on Dec 22, they told me my account was frozen and they had charged me on Oct 17 for Oct 17 - Nov 17.     Hidden statements in contract that do not specify complete terms. When I called them out about inaccurate statement they made on a refundable payment they tried to bounce around the facts that is literally in the contract and did not refund me. Lost a customer due to unprofessionalism and lack of integrity.

    Note of appreciation. I met Robyn on Nov 24, 2025. She is a trainer at Planet Fitness in Alliance. I am 68 yo and live with COPD and thyroid issues. For me, walking into a gym can feel overwhelming. The machines look intimidating when you don't know where to begin or how to operate them. It's easy to feel out of place. Robyn changed that for me. She is patient, encouraging and truly helps me feel confident and capable. She takes the time to explain each machine and makes sure I feel safe. Her kindness and professionalism turned what could have been a stressful experience into one of empowerment. I'm truly grateful for her support and positivity. I have my goal set and feel assured I will meet it as long as I listen to her.

    I cancelled my membership because I got it specifically for the massage chairs and spa lounge. The sessions are 5 minutes long which defeats the whole purpose of relaxing having to get up every 5 minutes to ask to renew the time defeats the whole relaxation. After canceling my membership I asked for them to remove my credit card information which they will not do. They just say that they will no longer be billing you which I don't like to have my credit card and billing information in their system without the ability of removing it or canceling or deleting the full account. They are the worst.

    I have been a Planet Fitness member for approximately 15 years. What I experienced in January 2025 — and the 11 months of complete inaction that followed — represents one of the most unprofessional, humiliating, and irresponsible customer experiences I have ever encountered. On January 22, 2025, I was publicly pulled away from my workout at the Irvington location and escorted to the front desk in front of other members. I was told there was an issue with my account. I was then informed that my home gym had a file accusing me of theft, allegedly supported by “evidence.” This accusation was false.

    When I immediately went to my home gym in Newark, the manager confirmed that they had received a call claiming I was caught stealing. However:
    • No one could identify who made the accusation
    • No one could produce any evidence

    • No one could locate any documentation to support the claim

    When the Wall Street location — the gym allegedly responsible for the report — was contacted, management there stated they had no record, no knowledge, and no documentation of any such accusation and confirmed that this situation did not align with company protocol. Despite this:
    • My name was still flagged internally
    • I was publicly embarrassed
    • I was forced to defend myself against a baseless allegation

    • And I have received zero acknowledgment from Planet Fitness corporate despite repeated follow-ups over 11 months

    There has been extensive management turnover, but every new manager confirmed they were “aware of the situation” and promised follow-up — none of which ever materialized. Being falsely accused of theft is serious. Being accused without evidence is reckless. Allowing such an accusation to circulate internally without accountability or correction is defamatory. And ignoring a long-term member for nearly a year demonstrates a systemic failure of leadership and corporate responsibility. I am now making this complaint public because private channels have failed. Planet Fitness promotes itself as a “Judgment Free Zone.” My experience proves otherwise.

    I am still awaiting:
    • A formal acknowledgment from corporate
    • Confirmation that all false records have been removed
    • A written apology

    • Accountability for how this was allowed to happen

    Until then, I cannot recommend Planet Fitness to anyone who values dignity, transparency, or basic professionalism. — Moses ** 15-Year Member

    Although corporate agreed and assisted cancelling membership, explaining employee especially management should be well knowledgeable how to do so without the customer continuing to be charged, Nick the manager of Smithfield location continued to have a confrontational attitude despite being emailed by corporate, refuses to correct the company mistake that was confirmed a mistake. Management is poor in arguing with customers in front of other members although he's been advised it was an error, he's personally refusing to refund and provide his managers contact information. Spoke to me very condescending and disrespectful. Admitted he received an email from cooperate and never followed up as he was supposed to. Management is to represent a company in good manners and respect and integrity for the business. This is very poor management skills and should be retrained.

    Planet Fitness is a joke and a hoax.. Upon signing up they did not tell me that they would charge a late fee if my payment didn't go through therefore charging me 40 dollars a month for the black card. Also there is no option to cancel your membership online so you have to physically visit your home gym to even cancel.. If I haven't been to the gym in months what makes you think I want travel all the way there and cancel my membership? Stupid!

    There was several months that I never even visited this gym yet they still made me pay the 40 dollars for those months. Not to mention their customer service was horrible. The staff is rude and mean. Most of the time they didn't even have enough staff to help the customers I need. They don't care Abt people. All they care Abt is the money they're making. The equipment was dirty and grimy every time I did visit and the bathrooms were disgusting... I would not recommend this gym or any other planet fitness...

    Happy with facility ( equipment/cleanliness/staff) but when I decided to cancel, I was charged the yearly fee anyway even though I cancelled before it was due. Received the ‘it’s in the contract’ speech, but really. All I am asking is for them to do the right thing and return the funds since I cancelled before the due date. I am very disappointed in P.F.

    I visited Planet Fitness El Señorial, San Juan PR and tried to use the hydro massage bed. I was directed to bed number 4, but it wouldn’t start. I went back to the front desk, and the staff member told me it had just turned on—but she wasn’t very friendly. I tried again, it still didn’t work. I went back and she told me, ‘Ma’am, it’s number 4,’ and I replied, ‘I know which one is number 4.’ I felt she was treating me as if I didn’t know what I was doing, which was unnecessary. She finally accompanied me and we discovered bed #4 was broken. She then suggested bed #5, which also didn’t start. So I went back and told her when she sighed. I decided to leave. I was simply trying to use a service offered, but the staff’s attitude and lack of helpfulness made the experience frustrating.

    If one thing was put back in place, I would give Planet Fitness a 5⭐ BUT ... I will start with a good note, followed by a disgruntled comment. *As a black card member, I really enjoy using those amenities and then cleanliness of the location most of the time. *I have NOT been happy that the Murray Utah location removed their total body enhancement timed area. That amenity was a great option for anyone who simply needs a structured workout on a tight schedule, that does not have a structured fitness plan. Why on earth would they remove that from their location??

    Oh I know why, let me tell you. I am positive that it was unknown that I was within hearing range, however, I overheard a conversation with a location manager telling a staff that the timed structured area was was to appeal to the "younger clientele". WTF? Really? Having overheard that, I am sure it was unknown that I could hear the conversation from where I was working out, but hearing that took me back a step or three, it completely offended me, being a bit older than the 'younger clientele' but still young enough to be alive, healthy and wanting to work out to better improve myself and continue a long life.

    Second of all, the comment completely disregards the marketing direction on the wall that says 'Planet Fitness judge no one". I mean WTH? Seems logical to think that many of the younger clientele might also like a quick structured work out. Fix it! Make me feel my membership matters and to make me feel welcome there!! Unable to provide a receipt, since my monthly fees are auto withdraw from my debit card which I am not uploading a bank statement. Sorry.

    For Planet fitness and Orlando, Florida next to the Florida mall is horrible. Around 4 or 5am the staff member on duty is in the back room sleeping. The facility looks like it hasn't been cleaned. All shift as homeless people showering coming in and out as they please. There's leaks from the ceiling and the men's locker room.

    Called to transfer my membership. Kept getting bounced from person to person. Lack of knowledge. Then spoke with one gentleman that answered the phone by laughing constantly before acknowledging me on the phone. I had to continue to yell "Hello." He finally responded. I asked why he was laughing. He said it was funny and had to add two towards me which was very unprofessional then finally proceeded to assist me with my issue. Not exactly the kind of company I feel confident in with employee's lack of maturity. Tried to contact corporate office. You get prompted to automated system after automated system. I gave up.

    I signed up in Hilliard, Ohio, on September 17th, 2025, went to the gym 4 or 5 times and attempted to cancel through my phone through the help process on the app. Fields were provided for cancellation, so I filled it out (10/16) and later found out on that my account was still active. My second attempt at cancellation (11/7) was through the computer and I learned from a representative on the phone today (11/13) that my account was still active even after that, and the fields and process are clearly provided. So, in essence, my cancellation was completely disregarded. What is more is that the rep told me I have to send a PHYSICAL LETTER of cancellation to Planet Fitness via USPS! I replied, “So I can sign up on the app, but I can’t cancel on it?” Apparently not. Meanwhile they keep increasing my bill through an active membership…. Hence, the title of this review: BEWARE OF THE CANCELLATION PROCESS.

    11/12/2025 8:30 pm. I work as an artist and have had a lot of back issues and that is why I retained a membership. I explained I would only be using the massage chairs mainly and that I would need to be on there for a while for I also work when I'm there on my phone. I said I am a night owl, and I would be coming between midnight and 2 am. I asked if there was a lot of need for the massage chairs then, and they said no. I asked if I could do an hr. They said yes. They have been giving me an hr to be there, work and get my back attended to for well over a year now. Great! A few days ago I went, and I was only allowed 10 mins. The night person in Kilgore, Tx said he was ordered not to give anyone more than 10 mins on the massage chairs and fixed it so they actually couldn't give more than 10 mins. I have been dealing with Nick for 1 1/2 yrs now, and he is the best to go to for any kind of information.

    Now by the time I sat down, put my work down and decided where do I need my pain taken care of I had 4 mins left. As you can probably guess, I had zero time for anything because time was up. Nick said I could keep getting up and asking for 10 more and 10 more, etc. That would mean schlepping my work to go find him, (he is always working to keep it clean at those hrs and hard to find at times) and wait. But I'd be back where I started. Next thing I know there is no real time left once again.

    I did it twice last night and just couldn't do it. Way too much trouble for my back. I do not go daily. I may go three times a week when no one is there. Is there anything someone can do to help me or I will have to find another place. I got the membership because I was told I could go at those times when no one is there and have that hr. What happened? I talked to a manager but she was not understanding and didn't seem to want to hear what I had to say. But I still thanked her for her time.

    As of 11/07/2025 the Valparaiso IN facility no longer will play ANY news broadcast. This is due to ONE member that did approve of what was on!!! I get there every morning at 5:45 and leave at 7:45 and that’s when I check out what’s going on in the world.

    Charged my college son double off and on monthly because of their faulty equipment to obtain monthly fees without notice. Will never recommend again. Thought it would be convenient for my college student and affordable but was actually more expensive for no reason. Terrible service. Never again.

    South Yarmouth, Massachusetts. This Gym lacks essential core machines. Namely, ab coaster, abs bench, and the elevate slide machine. I am over 60 and don’t need to power lift or to do power squats. I need to work on my core. Please get your act together Planet Fitness.

    I'm a little upset with the fact that I was not informed about the annual fee and the opt out of membership fee at the time I signed up. I know it's in the fine print but naturally who has time to sit down and read the fine print until you've already been charged. Extremely inconvenient. Had I been actually told this by a staff member I could have been more aware and prepared.

    I signed up to go for a few months. They don't do cancellations apparently. I just shut them out of my card through my bank and they're gonna have to 0 it out or I'll get a hold of my lawyer. This is a horrible business.

    I am speaking about the Planet Fitness in Chilliwack BC, we all been scammed. The owners lied to us, and now he is demanding we pay him 300$ or go to collections, we never asked for a membership, we only wanted the free trial week, see how things go.. And he said it’s mandatory we fill out paperwork just in case we decided to stay, we left immediately, same day he charged 200$ out of our accounts… He is running a shady business. Please be aware!!!     All bulbs are out in the tanning beds at Gadsden AL location. The staff members tell the owner. They don't do nothing. A lot people gets black card to have the tanning bed and can't even use 'cause no one will fix the bulbs. Just sorry sorry.

    Courtney, the manager at the local planet fitness in Russellville Arkansas refuses to cancel my membership. As a result I've been paying for over a year and a half. I called the billing department which says they don't handle cancellations. They've told me to come in to the local store and I've gone in over five times but nobody's ever present or willing to do it when I arrive.

    Been trying over the last 3-4 months in why my bank account being charged by Planet Fitness as membership, was cancelled here in Maryland in February, been told call here, call there and no one seems to help. Found out that it was a club in Hoboken NJ charging my account and never even been there. Called the Hoboken NJ Planet Fitness and they said there's nothing they can do to refund my $300+, really make me furious, Planet Fitness billing is a scam and people should really watch out as they suck. Will continue to put reviews on scamming people out of their hard work money.

    Planet Fitness took over the gym I belonged to for 8 years, on October 1, 2025. I was charged $18.41 on Sept 30, and $34.28 on October 3, for the month of October. Planet Fitness advertised that they charge $ 24.99 for their top-tier Black Card membership. The manager would not refund me the overcharge and I cancelled my membership on Oct 4, after being told twice days earlier that I would not be able to cancel until after the accounts were transferred from the previous owner to Planet Fitness. They stopped having child care, yoga, spin class, Recovery class and several other classes, and fired most of the instructors. Judging from the long line of angry members complaining and cancelling memberships at the Magnolia TX Planet Fitness, and all of the poor reviews on the web, I could not recommend joining this gym.

    I belong to Planet Fitness in Allison Park, Pa. I love all of the strength training equipment, but they need another tricep push down and preacher curl machine. Also the massage chairs need to be replaced. They suck. I might cancel my black membership.

    Absolutely awful customer service. It has taken months to get my membership cancelled and they keep charging me - now adding late fees. Not worth the headache. There is never a manager there and customer service sends you back to the home club, but there is not anyone there who can actually do anything.

    I really enjoyed this gym and the staff overall, but unfortunately one staff member decided to suddenly enforce a rule that had never been enforced before. This inconsistency has created an uncomfortable situation for me and my autistic son. Whether it was personal toward us or not, the way it was handled has left me feeling unwelcome. Because of this, I’ll be looking for a new gym that is consistent, supportive, and inclusive for all members.

    I have not been to Planet Fitness since July 2023. Today October, 2025 they just took $50 out of my account. I have not been to Planet fitness for two years. I stopped going due to a knee injury. Contract or not—it’s been two years. Is this a lifetime contract? I’ve been there in person, called customer service, sent emails…what else is there to do????

    This used to be an awesome gym. Clean, good equipment, reasonable and just pay with a credit card. Now they demand a credit card number AND a check routing number. It has simply become a scam. Once you join the wrong key, you quit. Write letters, make phone calls and even show up at the gym personally. They tell you that your contract has been cancelled yet next bank statement, there's the withdrawal. I can't even see how this is legal. STAY AWAY! You're going to get ripped off and frustrated. How could such an awesome business go so rotten.

    I provide one star only because I was not given an option of zero. There is a reason why Planet Fitness is so inexpensive. As our parents taught us, you never get nothing for nothing. The inexpensive price is really quite expensive considering the loss of pride and self-respect... I got off on the wrong foot by explaining to a regional manager that judgment was misspelled. They were never happy with me after that. I then pointed out they misquoted New Jersey law when it came to the tanning machines, but it really became quite uncomfortable when the General (that’s what he preferred to be called) general manager Davis took over. He ruled with an iron fist. He never liked me because I would tan in the tanning bed, but preferred calling it the coffin. In angered him to no end. TV was broken one day. I brought it to his attention. He said it was not his responsibility, that I should call headquarters!

    I challenge anyone reading this to try and locate a phone number and a person for headquarters. You may be able to find a Customer complaint line, but it ends there and they never call you back. After I was confronted with their ADMISSION of using hidden cameras in the tanning rooms and the General having all of the staff right fastidious notes after every conversation, it got really weird. I was astonished when the general, wearing highly polished Jack boots goose stepped to his office or so it looked to me. I thought it would be best to report this aberrant behavior.

    I finally tracked the owner under a fictitious name, owning a completely fictitious corporation, having no filed corporate relationship in New Jersey, Vermont or Delaware and purportedly located in South Jersey, but was actually in Virginia. I was preparing to capture the very slippery creep on zoom to prepare a lawsuit when he caught wind, did not show.

    My membership was immediately terminated. Not sure what I did to be terminated from my membership. They gave me no detail, nor did they respond to my requests. I am now part of one of many class actions against them based upon illegal use of recording equipment and cameras in areas with expectations of privacy, digging into background, tape recording everything said at the counter, lies being told about new equipment, lies being told about broken equipment. The list goes on and on.

    Do yourself a favor: do not join this club! There’s a reason why it is replete with one star and no more. It was a very uncomfortable and harrowing experience and suing them. Will bring me some satisfaction. My research reveals that they mistreat their lower-level employees in the same fashion, cheating them out of wages, overtime and cheating investors out of stock. These are bad people. Hoping New Jersey’s attorney general or Department of Justice. Pam Bondi look into this house of cards. There is substantial criminality that should be removed from our streets.

    If there would have been Zero start, I would give that. Member ID ** (Club #95323). I was misled into a recurring Personal Training contract. I only agreed to 1 month (8 sessions, $148), but was charged $296 for a 2nd month without my consent. Please refund the $296, cancel future charges, and confirm PT cancellation.

    Again, there is a guy who uses the Smith machines at Ala Moana, only has 2 that work, but he has 4 sets of dumbbells and a straight bar, but barely using the Smith. More likely he is using the mirror to lift and holding the machine hostage. At least an hour who barely used. So when he went around walking, a guy started using the machine. The man approached him and said something and the guy left. The man then lifted the bar 4-5 times with no weight and continued working, out not using the Smith machine. I approached a worker and his response was, "I can't do nothing about it." Look you use one ** machine, dumbbells, straight bars, and etc.

    Using 5 different sets of weights is taking away from everyone else who has stuff to do and are unable to use a machine that is rarely used for an hour and ** using the mirror and taking up the Smith is just disrespectful. I saw other members looking and thinking but they didn't say anything, I will. I understand that every morning I wake up that I will see all these foul behaviors, but not at a gym where I pay $ to not be able to work out because there is no written down standards. Unless of course this type of behavior is acceptable?

    Renton Washington! What a disappointing experience I had today! Nevertheless, when someone treats you unfairly based on personal judgment or who you are, just smile! Today, I went to the Planet Fitness center in Renton, WA. At the counter, the staff member scanned my barcode and told me I couldn’t use the service anymore unless I updated my credit card information, which is set to expire this month. I hadn’t even noticed this and didn’t realize I needed a credit card on file since the gym directly withdraws the monthly service fee from my bank account. She explained that the card is required as a backup payment method. But when I checked the payment details in my app, I saw that I already paid for this month, and my next due date isn’t until October 17—almost a month away. A better approach would have been to politely remind me: “Please update your credit card information before your next due date.”

    Instead, she immediately restricted my access, which didn’t feel right. She seemed to forget that her role is to represent the company and serve all clients equally—not make personal judgments. She doesn’t even know me! This was actually the second time she treated me differently. Since May, over the past five months, I haven’t even been able to go to the gym more than ten times due to my busy schedule. Still, I’ve never wanted to cancel my membership. Every month, I pay $27.58 for my Black Card membership, regardless of how often I attend. My question to the fitness center is this: Why do you need credit card information if a person is already paying directly from their bank account? If someone fails to pay, then naturally they shouldn’t receive the service. Isn’t that how it should work?

    I visited your new Rosemount Planet Fitness on today Sept 22 for a tour, but I had an experience I’d like to bring to your attention. When I first arrived, I was told by the front desk staff that I could not have a tour because of “construction” and was offered no further information about the facility or membership. Shortly after, two other employees approached me and asked if I wanted a tour, which was confusing. Later, I called the gym asking if I could schedule a tour, and the staff member on the phone told me that tours are available “anytime,” which was inconsistent with what I had just experienced.

    Not only was I denied the opportunity to see the facility while others were being offered tours, but I also felt the interaction at the front desk was dismissive and unprofessional. This left me feeling singled out and unwelcome as a potential member. I’m sharing this because I believe in fairness, consistency, and good customer service, and I want to give you the opportunity to address the issue. I would still like the chance to tour the facility and make an informed decision about membership.

    Today, September 12, 2025, at 3:45 PM, I had a bad experience with a woman at the register. She was very rude and had a lot of attitude. She needs more training on how to treat customers. She's rude and despotic. They should be more careful when hiring service staff. I've been a Planet Fitness member for over 17 years and I've never had such an uncomfortable experience. I left the gym, called to get the employee's name to file a report, and they rudely hung up on me. I hope the manager does something about this and educates these types of people more, or that they take classes on customer service.

    Rio Pinar club: Place is a sweat box A/C and fans are either broken or turned off, floor is always wet, equipment is either broke or missing. There are 1 1/2 sets of D-Rings left making people grab the rubber balls on cable machines (injury looking for a place to happen), paper towel dispenser's always broken, cleanliness has gone downhill.

    Not impressed front desk service in Nampa, Idaho. When I first went there to get my membership, the front desk was less than helpful. I asked questions about each membership and the amenities. They told me to download the app and I can do it all online. I walked back up to the counter for help fan of the five people that were standing there chatting amongst themselves not one of them helped me for over 2 minutes.

    I go and do my workout, come back to the front desk to ask about signing up for the massage chair. They point me to the kiosk without explaining that I need to go back and get my phone to sign up. I eventually get it figured out and end up in the tanning bed. It is disgusting! On multiple occasions I've had to go back in there and ask them to re-clean it for grab a rag and do it myself. If they didn't go in there and clean it after each person, I wouldn't mind. But when I know that they've already cleaned it and there are hand and lotion and butt prints all over, they clearly don't care about the people.

    After weeks of going there, I eventually just had to avoid going there in the evening because the one guy at front was so arrogant and condescending and rude. Not sure if there was a judgmentalness there or he just hated his job. But when you're paying money and the employees don't make you feel welcome, pretty hard to want to stay at that gym.

    When I join PF, I paid $1 down with no commitment. At least that's what pf lead me to believe. When I went to close my membership I was told I have to pay a buyout fee $58. Pf has lost my respect and business for good. Oh and they forgot to tell you that when you freeze your account you still pay annual fees and other fees.

    I want to say that I’m grateful for employee Gag at the Waukengan location. He had just got off work at 5:00am and was at the front desk when I approached him to let him know that while I was on the treadmill I was taking my gloves off and my ring slipped off and went into the treadmill. Gag did everything he could do to try to retrieve it from the treadmill but no luck this patron came by and asked what’s the problem and suggested what to do and Gag stuck his hand in the bottom of the treadmill and pulled my ring out. It was all bent up but I was happy to have it back it cost $15 to repair it. I just want to say thanks Gag again.

    Beware of Planet Fitness Pflugerville tx wells branch. Management took away a few exercise machines that I use and not only just me but a lot of other people as well. The machines were sit down rower and rowing machines. So that's the first issue. The second is that on 9.01 I was charged my annual fee which normally isn't an issue. On the same day of the charge, I canceled the membership. I requested a refund of the annual fee and was told that no refunds for this charge even though this charge is for the upcoming year. The policy requires members to request cancelation 10 days prior to annual fee bill date. I feel that a refund under these circumstances should be granted but management and corporate were unsympathetic.

    Bathroom seem like they are not getting cleaned ever. How long does it take for urine to accumulate in a urinal? Urinals are corroded. I could throw something in the corner of the bathroom and come back a week later and it would still be there. Also, I’ve been double billed and can’t seem to reach a manager to straighten it out.. It’s not all bad here. Customer service reps do try to be helpful. Gym equipment is nice and does seem to be clean.

    I have been trying for 2 months to have PF stop taking my money out off my account. In July I was informed that the would be frozen. I explained to them that I’m currently unable to walk . Was stopped by my Doctor from attending the gym. I also had foot Surgery which I’m currently recovering from. I reached out multiple times to have my matter resolved. Again in July I was informed that my account would be frozen until March and charges would be reversed. Tell me why now we are in August and not only did they go into my account and charge me but I was also charged an additional $15plus dollars for late fee.

    I spoke with the Manager Karen who I feel was unable to resolve my issue. I also explained to her that I’m currently on disability and cannot afford those charges. Guess my account is now in overdraft because my matter still remains unresolved. I will not ever be going back to PF. I would rather go to another gym once I’m recovered. All together I’m so over this shit.

    When I joined PF years ago, they billed my credit card, no problems. Then came a time that they wanted your checking account info., to withdraw the money from, and the credit card as back up. If you do not have enough money in the checking account, you get charged $41.37 extra plus they get their monthly fee thru the credit card. I have overdraft protection on my checking account but for some reason it does not work with PF billing. PF is a corporation that basically has no customer service, you get "the run around", ABC Corp. tells you to call the manager and the manager tells you there is nothing he can do. No one ever told me that there would be a service charge if it does not go thru the checking account, also in the terms & conditions on their website it says vaguely, that there may be a fee, but does not say how much or even if they get their money anyway. Unfair tactics.

    I go for the unlimited tanning. They mean when they say you can go every 24 hours.....Not a minute sooner. Okay fine..It's policy or whatever. Meanwhile the beds are nasty AF and one is lead to believe they are cleaned every time they are used. Not the case. All tanning beds and booths are filthy. One must put down paper towels to stand on in the stand up booths and for the lay down beds...One has to wipe it down at least twice before using.

    I went to the men's bathroom today to wash my hands and noticed that one soap dispenser was missing, while the other was completely empty. I reported this to the front office staff, and her response was, "Oh, okay." The broken dispenser has been out of order for over a week. I also talked to the regional boss about changing one of the viewing channels to CNBC. She promised me she was going to do that, and this is 3 weeks later, and nothing has changed. I am curious if the headquarters knows about these issues, and if they have read the reviews?

    I never used my membership because of hardship and having to move from my apartment because of water damages. I tried to cancel but for some reason, they suspended my account. They also have been charging me returned check fees because I have multiple bank accounts that I move money to and from and I was unaware that my overdraft protection doesn't work for this type of payment. Bottom line, they want your bank account information, and they do not make it easy to cancel, even if you have problems out of your control. I went into the location and asked about canceling because of the circumstances and they wanted to charge me over $120.00 to cancel.

    I asked to speak with the manager, and he did NOT speak to me but rather suggested I find the customer service number online, which I am still trying to locate. The facilities are nice if you can use them, but don't expect anyone to actually solve problems when it comes to billing. They did not help me solve anything, even though I took the time to go into the location branch I signed up at. I still don't know who to talk to and I cannot cancel without an outrageous charge. Beware, if you have any unforeseen circumstances, they might not work with you based on policy.

    I attended the Port Charlotte FL Planet Fitness. The breakdown of the Black Card amenities are constantly breaking own. We had 2 months wait for the Hybrid Tanning, the massage chairs are always breaking, hydromassage beds as well. There are some staff that have little regard for the members who schedule time and find themselves waiting for a machine they scheduled for because the staff jumped over them giving their slot to someone else. The manager is condescending and lacks professionalism.

    They'll get you anyway they can for funds, I cancelled my membership one day after my annual fee was being processed (not processed yet, pending) and they refused to not charge me for another year because of this one day overlap. That is extremely petty to me, but I guess if you do that to 1,000's of people, it adds up to a good chunk of profit. Yeah, they're cheap and a nice facility, but their billing and procedures stink.     Planet Fitness Corpus Christi is a well maintained Gym from management equipment cleanliness, what stands out is new staff members doing a great job (Alexus **). Makes your experience at gym feel personal by knowing you by name, also notice that staff member is always available to answer questions or assist in anyway possible.     I have been a member of Planet Fitness for a while at different locations in the country. The meanest and most uncourteous facility is the Camillus NY one. I am not sure what the problem with their management is there? They have been nothing but rude and nonfriendly there. For a while they were double-charging me for two memberships. When I asked to be refunded for one for the last six months, they said no because how are they supposed to know whether I really wanted two memberships or not? Then today I went in there again to work out and I was greeted by some new kid who questioned my membership. I have a fully paid classic membership but my home club was in Florida since I am a snowbird and come back to Syracuse in the summer months. I had forgotten to transfer my home club back to Syracuse for the summer months.

    This young kid then told me I could not work out and that I had to leave. One other employee there was a little bit nicer and said, "Well why don't you let him workout today and he can transfer his membership to this club location tonight after he is done." But the kid refused to let me work out and asked me to leave. I have since transferred my membership back to Syracuse, so hopefully I am greeted a little nicer next time or hopefully they change their employees there and get a better manager. They could have easily assisted me in the transfer right there, but they were of no help whatsoever. That's all....You just expect a better experience when you come into the building to work out. I have never had any problems at any other Planet Fitness locations but this one is the nastiest...

    The summer months at Planet Fitness have been difficult with all of the extra children and teens using the gym for free during business hours. While this is a wonderful idea, can a specific window of time be allocated for them like 11-3 PM so that paying members can get their workout in without the competition for equipment use?     I’ve been a loyal member of this gym for over three years, attending five times a week and always appreciating the staff and facilities—until now. On August 1st, 2025, at around 11 a.m., I had a deeply disappointing encounter with a manager named Courtney at the Clearwater location (1885 N Highland Ave). Earlier that morning, Courtney himself checked me in. About an hour later, I let both him and another employee, Calvin, know I was stepping outside briefly to grab my phone charger from my car. Calvin acknowledged me, and I returned in under a minute.

    When I came back in, Courtney abruptly shouted “Hey you, you need to sign in” in a loud and condescending tone. I explained I’d already signed in earlier, and my phone had died—hence the quick trip outside. As I began to provide my last name for confirmation, Courtney suddenly told me to leave and said I was “done for today.”

    Calvin tried to intervene and explain the situation, confirming I was signed in and had only stepped out briefly. Despite that, Courtney doubled down and told me he "didn't care," even threatening to call the police if I didn’t leave immediately. I left feeling shocked, embarrassed, and deeply uncomfortable. This kind of aggressive behavior is absolutely unacceptable—especially from someone in a leadership position. Sadly, this isn’t the first time Courtney has created an unwelcoming atmosphere at this gym. I hope the management team takes this seriously and ensures proper customer service training is provided, because no member should be made to feel like this.

    This PF is always dirty. There are hairballs and dust on the floor in the back room, proving that no one is cleaning properly. Today I had to walk from the back yellow room all the way to the front just to get paper towels to clean down my mat. This is a weekly situation that can be easily taken are of if the manager would care just a little. The ladies' restroom is often out of supplies. The front desk is constantly on their phone, completely oblivious to taking time to see that the customers have what they need. You ask us to wipe the machines and equipment (which most younger kids do not do). It's disgusting.

    The front door is always filthy, so much so that I don't want to push it open to enter or leave. I have talked to the front desk about the lack of towels, but they just don't give a rat's butt about it. I am just one more incident away from cancelling our membership because of these issues. Maybe if you had a staff that is checked on with a survey, you would hear a lot of my complaints repeated over and over.

    I have been a member since December of 2024, only visited twice for the massage chairs. When I joined the Cheektowaga location, I was told that there was someone to help me figure out a workout plan to target the areas I would like to work on. After joining there is no instructor at that location and I still don't know what machines to use for my targeted areas. What a waste of money, I will be canceling my membership next month because there's still no one available to help me.

    The PF gym in Fairfax, VA, is a nice space with long open hours, and a good range of equipment, most of which is in working order. However, some problems make it very unpleasant: (1) many customers sit idly on gym equipment playing with their cell phones, preventing others from doing their workouts; (2) many such chronic cell-phone problem customers become belligerent when asked to relinquish the equipment and refuse to yield; (3) these same problem customers and others tie-up single pieces of equipment in the “30-minute express” area for long periods of time (e.g. 10-30 minutes).

    (4) The gym invites teenagers 14-19 years old to use the gym for free during Summer months, which floods the gym with large numbers of teens who tend to have no idea how to use the equipment, who use the gym to “hang out” with groups of friends, who are among the offenders who use the equipment as places to sit and play with their cell phones, and who have primitive social skills, making the gym an unpleasant and congested place to spend time.

    (5) Many of these problems could be solved by posting large visible signs throughout the gym instructing users not to use cell phones while sitting on equipment and not tying up equipment when other users need to use it, and by expelling repeat offenders. (6) The staff members are mostly hard working and very kind and helpful but they cannot be expected to police all of the misbehaving users in the gym. Much could be accomplished by clearly informing new users of the rules and the penalties for failure to comply, and by posting large, visible, easily read signs throughout the gym.

    Systems are frequently “down”. Not every now and then, it is a constant problem. Multiple days at a time. You can never call to ask if they working before driving all the way to town because no one will answer the phone. Staff has a very poor attitude addressing it. When asked about paying full price for lack of services month after month the employee said “I don’t tan so it don’t bother me”.

    I Love Planet Fitness in Simpsonville SC. I go there often but I love to tan and the maintenance don't keep the beds stand up working. #2 and #5 is always broken and more than 4 bulbs out. #2 has 11 bulbs out this morning and the fan is making a awful noise. And when there's 4 bulbs out people aren't getting what they pay for. We don't go there to be striped. We want a full tan so they need more maintenance men or just 1 per Planet Fitness. That way if something is wrong then he can fix it.

    I used to love it until Covid hit. The hours were awful after Covid. They have a new finance team that gets into your checking account and will not let go. I am still trying to cancel my membership. They continue to collect black card amounts each month But will not attribute it to my yearly membership fee. I have no access to work out but they continue to take black card amounts. So far I have wasted over hundreds of dollars. I will update when my divorce is complete. But beware they keep their hands in your money!!

    Planet Fitness on Tamiami Tr in Port Charlotte is close to my home. I just got hit in the leg by someone using a leg machine. I asked front desk for ice or bandage. She looked in a box and in a closet, they had absolutely nothing. Ok, I will continue to bleed on my way out the door as my leg swells and likely get a staph bacterial infection because staff or customers are never seen cleaning anything here. You will only find staff gathered at the front desk chit chatting at all times. Have never seen staff walking through the gym checking on anyone or anything. Music is blasted so loud you can't hear your own headphones. I come here for my daughter because this is the closest gym and cheapest for her needs. When she's done with school I will not be coming here anymore

    The music is on Blast 24/7 and the front desk staff have no control. I cannot enjoy my workout and regret paying for this membership. There is no consideration given to the patrons.     When in last year to cancel, my membership had signed a paper, mine due there was staff always hired and fired in and out, no management, so who do you talk to you? Go to call the billing services, they can’t help you. Fast-forward to November, I went in and canceled my membership. Before November months before I’m still being billed in my account, says active still. Now they’re telling me I have a balance of 321 that is attached to my name, which correction shouldn’t have no bill or no attachment because it was supposed to be canceled.

    Now we’re in 2025, still not canceled. Still being billed and who do you talk to? There’s no manager, the disorganization within these clubs is ridiculous. I have been a member for nine years, the upcoming few years I chose to cancel because the gym does not serve me anymore. That gym, I want my refund and I want to not have a bill attached to my name because I shouldn’t have a bill attached to my name for your negligence. I will never walk in and make another payment or start another account with this establishment.

    This location sucks! It has only been open a little over a year and there is always something needing maintenance, broken or dirty. The tanning beds are the tastiest I have ever used in 35 years I have been tanning. They NEVER clean the beds or the rooms. There is so much hair, dirt and dust on the machines and in the rooms, it is just disgusting. It takes me 10 minutes to clean the bed before I will get in. If I go in the stand up bed, I put paper towels on the floor to stand on. They have 6 beds and 3 have been out of service since March. The other 3 have burnt out bulbs. Bed #3 has 6 burnt out bulbs right now.

    There is never a manager available. The employees don't know or don't care when you ask questions. No one knows when the beds will be working. I have been asking who I can talk to for months and apparently there is no one above the lady manager in there. No regional manager, no franchise owner to speak with....Today I go in and now all the beds are down or unavailable while a transformer is being installed, supposedly or at least that was the excuse. When I asked how long they would be down the guy behind the counter just shrugged his shoulders. Another employee said "maybe try back tomorrow". I would not recommend this location to anyone which is sad because after joining we waited 6 months for it to open, 3 months past when they said it was going to open because it's the closest to our home.

    The Oshkosh location gym is amazing!! Staff are always cleaning, the equipment is clean!!! Locker rooms look amazing!! The night staff are so friendly and are willing to help no matter what. Jenni is extremely friendly, hard working and beyond helpful with anything. She is very knowledgeable about the gym equipment. I have switched my workout routines to the overnight, just because of the amazing atmosphere and stellar service.

    I am a PF member at the 6301 W Broad St Suite B, Richmond, VA 23226 gym. After having weight loss surgery. I just want a place to use the treadmill, bikes, elliptical and occasionally weights.. Planet Fitness is low key, inexpensive and convenient to my house. They keep it pretty clean. They staff are friendly and helpful. But it's one thing I can't understand. "It's ridiculous that a gym member cannot even weigh themselves at their gym". Where are the scales?

    Stop putting brochures/flyers on people's windshields! If it rains it becomes like an adhesive and obstructs vision. This is a safety hazard that can get someone hurt in an accident, and it can very possibly lead to a lawsuit against Planet Fitness.

    24hr Fitness Gym in Rockwall TX. When I arrived the first day. Walked straight into locker room which smelled moldy. I decided to take a shower prior to going into pool to swim laps. The Shower floors and walls were so moldy. I literally walked out. Showed Prav the manager and told him if he didn't clean this when I came back the next day, That I would have to cancel my membership. I came back the following week and the showers were slightly worse with hairs on floors and decided to take pics. Walked to Mngr. Spoke and told him to cancel my membership since Obviously they had not cleaned for weeks and didn't plan on doing so any time soon. There is MOLD on wall and floor tiles As well. Looked up and noticed Ventilation was full of nasty dust has NEVER been cleaned. I have since been there 4x trying to get my $351.50 deposit, Emailed 24hr fitness corporate and no response.

    So, I go to my local fitness center off Davis Hwy ready for workout and not known to me the facility is closed due to renovations. Understandable, however; am I missing the notifications via text, email etc notifying members of this closure. As this left me in an inconvenience situation as I plan when I leave work to go workout. This didn't sit well with me as I would think ensuring your members are valued at all cost is a priority. I have decided to cancel my membership and seek membership somewhere else. Hopefully this awareness and review will enlighten your organization to value and consider the importance of informing members of upcoming closures within the facility.     I’m writing this to warn others about the unsafe environment at the Hobart Planet Fitness. This gym has repeatedly failed to take member safety seriously—especially when it comes to dealing with creepy or inappropriate behavior. There have been multiple occasions where I’ve felt extremely uncomfortable due to men staring, following me around, or making unwanted comments. When I brought it to the staff’s attention, their response was indifferent at best. They either shrugged it off or told me to “just ignore it.” That’s unacceptable.

    Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected while working out, and Planet Fitness claims to support a “Judgment Free Zone,” but what good is that when they don’t enforce boundaries or protect their members from harassment? Ignoring this kind of behavior sends a clear message: they don’t care. The lack of cameras in certain areas and the inconsistent staff presence only make things worse. If you’re looking for a gym where your comfort and safety are a priority—especially as a woman or anyone vulnerable—Hobart Planet Fitness is not the place. Until they start taking harassment seriously and supporting their members, I strongly recommend staying away.

    Today I talk to a general manager from the Planet Fitness of east Harlem. Letting her know I was upset that one day I come in to use a massage chair. And it was for ten minutes but today it was only 5 min. And I was reading from Google Planet Fitness policy that typically a member gets 10 to 15 minutes and she rudely interrupted me and said that no longer going to happen starting today. I would understand if the gym was busy, that wasn't the case. I was just point out the policy. To the girl in the front desk. And she said, "No that's not right, you can speak to my manager." And I accepted.

    When I did talk to the general manager, she seem upset before I even got the opportunity to read the policy that clearly says typically ** member gets 10. On a massaging chair then she tried to reword what typically mean to me. And what it mean is normally. So from here on out, I will not recommend anyone to join a gym where the manager or better yet a general manager at that is nasty to a customer. Zero star. I'm thinking of not stepping back in to my home gym in east Harlem. I get treated better in Brooklyn Queens, upstate Connecticut. Where they're happy to make a customers happy. Unlike this general manager, I really don't now how she even got the job with a attitude like that.

    I use the PF located in Pompano Beach Florida on Powerline Road. When the new machines were installed about 2 years ago the location was clean and well kept by staff and members. NOW! It’s filthy! The entrance is clean but the remainder of the gym is unkept. Two weeks ago someone tore up paper into small pieces and left them on the floor underneath a recumbent bike next to the rowing machine. This is week 3, it’s still on the floor. There is dust on the floor underneath all equipment. The ladies' area is unkept as well. I saw a male staff member with a broom and dust pan however he seemed not to recognize the condition of the gym.     I go to the Monkey Junction NC Planet Fitness in the mornings. Hannah does an excellent job keeping this location spotless! She is always available to answer questions and give any help that may be needed. The only issue is with the machines being out of service and taking forever to be repaired. There is a treadmill that has been broken for over two years and still no sign of getting it repaired/replaced. I'm sure this would not be the case at the larger Kerr Ave or Ogden locations. As with all the locations, I'm sure, they are getting more and more attendees and having all machines working is a must.

    I do not understand why every time I am going In the gym water coming from ceiling buckets everywhere. Also why does it take so long to get a drinking fountain fixed. Also the restrooms don't have soap and a lot of the time they are dirty. When I use the equipment a lot of them I have to clean. Also I see four employees standing behind the counter. Can't they go and clean or stock soap, paper towels, maybe clean equipment. I have been coming many years and all I see is Planet Fitness going downhill. Hopefully the management can fixed these on going problems...

    I've been a member of Planet Fitness for over 10 years and at first it was a nice place to go in Richmond but now not so much because the people who run the place have an inadequate staff. They let anybody come into the place to work out without scanning, checking Their ID which is not fair to the people who come there on a consistent basis. The quality of management has definitely gone down and needs to be restaffed with quality people.

She inform me of details with the activation include a prorate I was responsible for. She made it so easy and with a smile on her face.     Do not sign up for this. It says one month free for a dollar, then they will charge you full price the following day and they say that it was the end of the month bill cycling. Sign up on 6/3/25 and then they will change you on 6/4/25 saying the start of the month is the 4th or every month.

    Incredible Customer Service! Knowledgeable staff! I consider myself a gym snob, Southern California. I have had multiple memberships from northern LA, (SCV Golds & LA Fitness), to Golds in Venice. Also spent time in SD where I used 24, EOS and the incredible, "The GYM". I have worked out in some of the greatest spots, with some of the most dedicated Meat Heads. I was so surprised with the Cust Serv, and knowledge by the Manager Aaron. This place is SIC!!! All staff attentive to any needs or questions. Super clean and great arrangement of equipment. Really enjoying my new membership. Crazy Cheap with all the amenities. So pleasantly surprised.

    This is the worst franchise. Went to 5 gyms while traveling.. Someone at the desk that speaks no english. No hot water. No water pressure. No one utilizing the facilities for those reasons.. Trash everywhere. Water on floor, around toilets. Exploding sewer in another location of human feces. A district manager I was told had no contact info as they reached out to them after lying to me making me the problem. Trash gym. Allllll hood locations. They prey in you to sign up but not show up. That's the scam.

    Join any other gym as they cancel memberships hearing complaints. Call you racist if you expect someone to speak english in America representing this brand. The CEO Keating....better be attentive to lack of discipline in this failed franchised model as all are concerned will leasing land. Sad. Allllll. Customers should order equipment and quit all gyms. That will fix their nonsense. I'd love to use the profanity here and over the phone at fools.. Try reaching these fools on social media. Nothing about customer service and why all should drop memberships.

    Just wanted to come here and let you guys know that Planet Fitness is saving money by changing, since spring, the temperature in the buildings from 70 to 72- which we all know, the warmer it is in a building, the less hard you can work out (especially if you have asthma!)... I was told this by a store manager. So basically, so they can have their money, we're going to work out less. And right now, it's 86 outside in Michigan.... 🥴🥴🥴. I'm going to look into a different gym, even if I have to pay double. How do I know next year they're not going to raise the temperature to 74??? 🤬

    I am writing to share some concerns regarding the gym’s summer policy allowing children aged 14 to 19 to access the facility during the day. While I understand and appreciate the intent behind encouraging youth fitness, I’ve noticed that during these hours, groups of teens often congregate around equipment. This has made it difficult at times for paying adult members to access machines and complete workouts efficiently.

    As a regular paying member, I believe our experience should be a priority. I would respectfully suggest that the gym consider designating specific hours for youth access, especially during peak times, to ensure that all members can enjoy a productive workout.     Planet Fitness is turned into A Summer Daycare for Socializing Teens 14 to 19 who get to use the facility for Free 1 June to 31 August. Most of these Teens sit around on machines and free weight areas scrolling their phones, watching video and socializing while not working out. Planet Fitness Staff and Managers are unable to Control this, usually understaffed and they don't try or care for these reasons. Even though Planet Fitness Corporation has been notified. They Ignore addressing their paying Customers Complaints by addressing this Teen DayCare Abuse Promotion they started. I would recommend you look elsewhere for gym memberships. This Free Teen Social Daycare is out of control at most Planet Fitness Facilities. Paying Customers are quitting in droves, due to this Free Daycare promotion as they are unable to use Planet Fitness due to the out of control Socializing Teens.

    I do not recommend PF and strongly suggest not completing any surveys they send you because if you're transparent on the survey and truly express any real concerns or issues you might get banned from PF which is what happened to me this week. I paid my membership up for the entire year and was current with my membership fees and was prevented from entering a PF location (based on the survey where I expressed my concern regarding safety where a guy was screaming profanities at members inside the locker room and shower area for nearly (30) minutes and no staff asked him to leave the facility). I felt unsafe and decided that I should leave.

    On another occasion, a PF employee made threats of violence towards a member who was working out on equipment. I was retaliated against by PF for mentioning both incidents on the survey. I'm disabled and trying to improve my health by joining a gym. PF discriminated against me and I feel cheated out of money and I drove a fairly long distance to PF to work out only to be told that I wasn't welcome. I contacted corporate and was told that my membership would be cancelled (at my request) a couple of days ago and haven't been refunded any money yet.     They claim to have a no harassment policy while harassment comes from even false allegations stemming from rumors about past events that may or may not have happened. These gyms are rumor pads filled with false hyped truth. I was personally harassed publicly in the club. While I can work out alone, and have decades of experience training physical and psychological events have happened in my life and make me handicapped. While I'm limited in some areas I'm not easily seen because I try without stopping to be the best I can be, but, they failed to see the truth in me and others around me and I'm not alone because I have witnesses to the events that have happened.

    Refunding people money spent in your gym is not the answer. The answer is raising the level of your service, so that no one in any gym is harassed by people or employees! In my opinion Planet Fitness should just shut down every gym because every gym is vulnerable to the same thing that happened to me because the separation of the levels of management is so wide. There is no real communication in that company. I might as well give it to AI because their management theories on that same level I'm not doing better but doing less and making somebody else to the work for them.

    Management or corporate must be out of their mind to let unlimited amount of students in for free during the summer. I’m a paying customer and I can’t even use the equipment because the place is overrun with kids. I will be cancelling my membership and going to a gym that doesn’t provide free access to teens during summer. Not only do they not have enough weights and way too many cardio machines, management is terrible.

I'm paying for a membership when I can't use anything available because 100+ kids are inside the gym using it as a hangout spot and parents using it as a day care now. Not one machine open to use, kids in pajamas hanging off the tops of machines like it's a jungle gym. Absolutely insane! Can't even get a workout in because the children and whatever 5-10 friends that came with them surround all the machines worth using.

    Dear Planet Fitness- Kissimmee, My name is Katty **. I had previously informed your team—specifically Ricardo—that I would be out of the country and requested my account be frozen until June 17, 2025. I followed up on multiple occasions, including phone calls to the St. Cloud, FL location, to ensure the freeze was processed and later extended. Despite these efforts, it appears my request was never properly documented or processed, and no notes were placed in the system. As a result, I have been billed during a period when my account should have been inactive. I find it extremely unfair to be charged for services I clearly communicated I would not be using and took proactive steps to pause.

    Additionally, during my most recent call, Ricardo informed me there was no manager available and no corporate contact number. He was also dismissive and unprofessional, stating that “this is a membership whether you use it or not,” before laughing and hanging up the phone. When I called back to speak with someone else, the assistance provided was equally unhelpful. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I am requesting that the charges applied during the freeze period be reversed immediately and that someone with the appropriate authority contacts me with a resolution.     Belair Rd location in Baltimore always had broken stairmasters. And I often went to the gym specifically to use the stairmaster. So that was pretty crappy. Then I move and cancel on the May 12th and the company is still going to withdraw $30 on June 17th! More than a month after my May 17th payment. That is why I will never return to PF.

    I’ve been coming to the Spartanburg gym for a while now and I haven’t seen much change with the cleanliness of machines or the restroom. The men’s restroom is always dirty and smells bad. The staff needs to be more welcoming and not huddled up on their phones. I only come here because it’s close to my job and home. I hope I don’t have a hard time when I want to cancel my membership for the gym's tardiness and lack of cleaning.

    I joined this facility because of hurt muscles and I joined using my black VIP status. Unfortunately I didn't feel like a VIP at all nor treated as one. They even post on a sign we are not here to kiss your butt. How PROFESSIONAL. I'm not here to kiss their butt for not doing their job. They made me feel like another number then a VIP and I waited on them so much then them waiting on me. So much they wouldn't be at the desk and you got to look for them to turn the machine on. They certainly don't smile either. When you ask for something. Never a smile or act pleasant to value you as a VIP either.

    I would go into more but it's most likely a waste of time like they wasted mine. I have to wait on them to sign people up and stand there for sometimes up to 20 min to turn on a machine while my VIP doesn't feel like I'm one. Wish they would teach them to smile once in a blue moon and teach them how to treat and act would be nice. Other than that. They did show they clean the place. That is all I got to say good. But the experience was more annoying than relaxing.

    I would say that if you like to tan they're really angle about it. They don't take the bulbs on time and then when they do change them they don't let you go in for the maximum amount of time. We are not children. We understand they are new bulbs and some of us can well and know what we're doing. An explanation would do fine and love we pay for is what we should get. Be able to tan for the maximum time among with overcrowding. I give it a one star. I'll keep it just cause it's the only place I I contend in the city.

    I have been a loyal member of Planet Fitness for over 10 years. Last year, I transferred my membership to my brother's name, yet the payments continued to be withdrawn from my account. Now, I wish to transfer the membership back to my name. However, the club manager has informed me that this is not possible and that I must cancel the current membership and sign up anew, resulting in an increased monthly fee from $10 to $15. This policy is not only unreasonable but also penalizes long-term members. According to Planet Fitness policies, monthly memberships are non-transferable between individuals.     Only two tanning booths work during spring? And this two are missing bulbs. Staff told me they have the bulbs to replace them! When machines are broken, it takes months to get them fixed. Been here over three years. When everything works it is fine!! But it takes a long time for them to fix things. I think they are trying to save electricity with the tanning booths. We all know Fayetteville had increased electricity rates really bad! One bed is missing four bulbs!! I have been waiting over 45 minutes 11 am!

    Planet Fitness Scottsdale showers are never clean. Today they have actual sewer back up and all showers are overflowing and disgusting. They say the showers are deep cleaned daily but this is not true. I have taken pictures of the overflowing showers due to sewage backup.

    They are too crowded with cardio machines with 70% of them never even being used, not enough dumbbells or weight training. And they close at 7pm on Saturday, which in my book is a deal breaker.     I was running heavy on treadmill when a staff stops abruptly stops me, taking me by surprise, this sudden stop caused me a neck sprain, the staff doesn't understand the health hazard and safety. The staff will allow their favorite members to break rules, but can be pretty rude in communicating simple things to non- favorable ones. The facility is mostly unclean and smelly. Locker and toilets are always unclean.

    Went to Bed Stuy Planet Fitness this morning and left at 7:15 am. NO ONE had the key to open the door. What kind of management is this? What an inconvenience!! I ususally go there at least 5 times per week. The equipment is clean and staff are super friendly. However, this moring, a Saturday morning is the worse. Shame on you.

    HORRIBLE CANCELLATION POLICY. Unless you live in California, you have to either mail a certified letter with your info and reason for cancelling, or go in person to the specific gym you signed up in and deal with them try to not let you cancel. Other than that, it's a gym. They have dumb policies but if you are a casual weight lifter you probably won't have an issue.

    Although, the gym is usually pretty straightforward. Stress free zone is a key component in choosing a place for me. Had a long hour workout. When I asked to use the cryo machine, was basically harassed when I stated I didn’t want to take a photo for a profile I have had for over 5 months as a member. I told Rebecca I wasn’t photo ready and just wanted to get on the cryo. She became upset and started rambling at me like it was her dire duty to get this photo. I told her I never had to take a photo to get on a massage bed. She continued. I was frustrated. I asked to speak to a manager. I was directed to another staff member where I started to explain how I did not want to be harassed about a photo by the rude belligerent staff member. She continued speaking over me as if I couldn’t use the massage bed if I didn’t take a photo which was ridiculous because my QR code scanned twice checking in stating clearly that I was a black card member.

    She was so rude to me and argumentative. It was totally uncalled for. I was annoyed and exhausted at this point. This is horrible customer service. Rebecca needs to be assessed and retrained on her speaking techniques with the public cause that was crazy!! I stormed out because of this experience. I will be canceling my membership and finding another gym. I should not be stressed out by staff for administration things that have nothing to do with me after my workout. Maybe she would have had better luck addressing me when I walked in!

    I live at Parkersburg WV. As of 04/04/2025 majority of the beds are not in operation again. This has been an ongoing problem with this location. Poor or barely working bulbs. Machines that are down. Long waits for tanning, etc. etc. They have I believe eight beds, but usually only two are working at any given time, the owners apparently don’t want to shell out any money for repairs or new bulbs and managements hands are tied. I called their corporate office, but they say there’s nothing that they can do about it and don’t seem to care as well. Sad state of affairs really.

    Poor customer service and tried to put me on a broken massage chair despite no one had signed in for the four empty chairs, then she took so long and the chair wouldn't start, and I had to go back to the desk three or four times and the agent said I wasn't allowed to use my third time slot because other people had signed in..... Keep in mind I was the only person in the area and they do not put you on chair numbers until you check in fully and I was the only person fully checked in. And on top of that she refused to let me use a chair that was operational. At the end of the day it became very frustrating and irritating to try to relax for a massage! And on top of that she wasted about twenty minutes and put me behind schedule for all the other slots I signed up for!

    I called the gym to cancel but was told I had to write a letter so I wrote to the gym on the 3rd to cancel my membership due to surgery-I have a doctor's note that states no physical activity/sunbeds etc for 3 months and so I wrote to cancel!! I noticed my monthly fee and yearly fee (which I knew nothing about) was

    Still being charged - so I called again and was told I needed to come In which I did - I told them I had to cancel and they could clearly see I had had surgery. I showed them a copy of the original cancellation letter and my doctor's note and they said they would cancel it.

    Something told me to call the next day to check and lo and behold they still had not cancelled my subscription!! I spoke to a manager who finally cancelled but refused to refund my money!! It feels like a scam - I did everything I was told to and they never cancelled my subscription and now and refusing to refund my money!!! I thought you could cancel anytime??!! Especially after surgery with a freaking doctor's note!! Very very disappointing.

    I joined so I could use the recumbent bikes. The problem is that they must have purchased the cheapest model available because the angle of the back of the seat is not adjustable. It's at a near right angle and is painful to use. They also don't have a coat rack or any place to hang your coat, so you have to drag it around with you, or you could leave it in your car and run fast to avoid the freezing cold. You'd get more of a workout that way.

    I used to go to the one in Woodland Park, New Jersey. 3 years being there. I had a situation with these ** teenagers. 6 of them they had nothing to do but to harass the ** and ** folks. As I decided to call Woodland Police to let them there was problem. When the police decided to get there I explained what happened while one Police Officer kept me outside the other went in to talk to the 6 Teenagers. After whatever they talked them about after that they told me that I had to leave. For what reason I don't know but I made complaint about it and nothing got done. As you know it is really racist in this town and Planet Fitness are in Wayne, N.J. too.

    Planet Fitness corporate came around and took all of the hand sanitation dispensers from all locations. Quite disgusting to not be able to sanitize your hands. The personnel at the location we workout at is actually paying to add sanitation. This is not an expense a employee should have to pay.

    I signed up with Planet Fitness on 6 Jun 24 at the Des Moines location. I just discovered Planet Fitness created a fictitious account in my name dated, 13 Jun 24 without my signature on the contract. Every month, Planet Fitness has been taking money out of both, my bank account and from my credit card that Planet Fitness has on file. Planet Fitness has been charging me for two accounts since Jun 24. After discovering this problem, I spoke with the manager, Ryan, in Feb 25 and he stated, "You have to prove it's our fault". Ryan also said, "I can only give you 3 months back". After speaking to Ryan about the problem, Planet Fitness continued to take money from my bank account and credit card for two accounts.

    After reading all the reviews on Planet Fitness, this seems to be a shady operation. I contacted an attorney about this situation and was informed that this is theft in the 3rd degree according to the RCW and should be reported to the police. I've already made a police report and the Attorney General's office was contacted, as well. I also, notified my bank and credit card company of the problem I'm having with Planet Fitness unethical operation.. I'm not happy with the way Planet Fitness do business and my account has been canceled!!!

    I was treated very rude by an employee name ** at the Planet Fitness at Ryan and 18 mile in Sterling Heights, MI, now it's 5:45 am and all I want to do is get in and work out and leave... Today I brought my adult daughter to work out with me for the first time as I am a black card member so she was my guest.... I scan in on my phone and let the person checking me in "Tone" that she was my guest so he was showing me how to send her a link so she could scan in as my guest and here come "**" "um do you have an ID?" My daughter gave her ID and ** runs it in the computer and comes back talking about a past account that my daughter had years ago that still had a balance and that because of that, she can't work out with me...

    I said, "What does that have to do with me, she's my guest and my account is up to date and now that we know that going forward, she will resolve her past account issues with billing or collections" and she said no, she can't work out here with an outstanding balance.... Well needless to say it was embarrassing and I stated that the customer service thing to do would be to allow her to workout as my guest since you're already here and take care of that account if she wanted to come back... and I said to "**" that because of how she is handling things I may cancel my membership and before I could finish my sentence, she said "Oh I can do that for you right now!" I was appalled that she was so quick to assist in canceling my account as well instead of trying to get to a resolution... Oh well there are way too many gyms for me to pay my money to one who could care less if I stay or leave, so bye, RUDE **. I wish you and Planet Fitness well.

    I did a gym visit today with my kid and was using the weighted balls and a employee comes over and started yelling and screaming at us in front of the gym saying, "That’s not what that is for."     I would never stay with a company that can’t have customer service phone calls and the only way to cancel is going to their company. And if you have a complaint it’s up to the manager and if you don’t have photos or proof you owe money. They said I didn’t pay for a year. Never showed up after I canceled then they accepted me back. Took my membership fee for a year and continued to charge me then wouldn’t let me use the facility for over a year. But because I wasn’t in town on the road driver I couldn’t cancel until I was back in town. Worst facility ever. Please never go again.

    I wish I never joined this place. I was desperate for a gym while visiting family over a year and a half ago. I canceled my writing membership multiple times as I do not reside in Ohio. I live in California. Yet, when I called to inquire about the monthly charges, the staff told me to send an email, which I have sent several times. After a year+ - the manager, "Jason" tells me just now I need to send the notice via the regular U.S.P.S. Email isn't good enough. When I tried to explain the situation, he unprofessionally mansplained me into oblivion by telling me, "It is in my contract."

    Email isn't considered in writing for him. I knew I was in the middle of nowhere Ohio but in the digital age most businesses accept email notification as "in writing". Kind of ironic since Planet Fitness has a member app for check-ins and upgrades but they do not accept email notifications. After the telephone call - "Jason" also sent me the cancellation form with his initials on it via email so I could mail it to him via snail mail. Way to game the system to make that $10+ bucks a month.

    Sadly, unethical staff has been lying to me for over a year about the email notification to milk me for the lousy fees. I had to get stern with the "manager" to get him to tell me the truth about their written notification policy, which is against most modern-day business practices. I am contacting the Corporate Office, AGO, and the Better Business Bureau since its well over $100+ in fees now. AVOID THIS PLACE. It's a scam. The gym has the worst fitness equipment I have ever seen. I was just desperate for a treadmill. Definitely not worth the money. Drive to Canton or go to YMCA.

    I would give no stars if I could. My son had a membership there that I was paying for. He went into the military and he cancelled the membership. So 3 weeks ago my credit card was charged for $59 annual membership. I called right away and the manager was going to see about getting this reimbursed as it looked like the account hadn't been cancelled but they froze it instead. So that is why annual membership fee was charged. He said he would look into this with upper management. Haven't heard anything and have not received a refund. So I called today, 3/5/25 and they tell me there is no way they can reimburse the money but now the membership was cancelled.

    This is really awful business practice for Planet Fitness. PF consistently gets bad reviews on their cancelling membership procedure. I am not happy about this.     The Corvallis Planet Fitness does not keep the HVAC air filtration system clean, in working order, and regularly serviced. The air returns/vents look like they are covered in snow (photos). Yuck. In addition, the facility does not prioritize fixing and maintaining equipment in the cardio theatre or weight machine areas. There were 7 pieces of equipment out of service this morning.

    I'm a regular at Planet Fitness at the Overland Park, KS location and have an awesome experience I would like to share. I met Matt ** their certified personal trainer who is very personable and easily approachable. We discussed goals and he schedule times with me for strength training. He works with me on all aspects of strength training and thoroughly documents my training for future workouts.     Socastee, Myrtle Beach, SC... Been a fitness trainer and gym manager for decades and even run a Planet Fitness. This company has fallen so far. After turning 55 wanted to get back in shape. Been in the local PF 2 days straight now and I consistent see customers have jump on the machines the minute you walk away to get towels or even breathe. You can see the women "religion" through their spandex. Trying to get myself to get back in shape and don't have a ton of time. But as I am working out I watched a thug husband/wife started a fight with a member using the a piece of equipment.

    They threatened to beat him, take him outside. They got inches within his face pointing and yelling! The staff did nothing. The man finally went to the staff and they did nothing. This gym has created the least friendly and most judgmental gym (ironically given their name). FYI, I also pay for a Black Card membership but can't use any of the other amenities because they are always booked. A completely bad experience.

    Planet Fitness is not just guilty of predatory practices, but their enshrined in company policy. PF was overcharging with their autopay feature and sometimes charged me more than one time a month. They make it near impossible to cancel their service. You have to go to the original location in person and speak to the manager who never seems to be in. I moved out of state and was then told that I had to mail them a letter to cancel. They do not accept cancelations over the phone, app, or online, only in person or with a written letter. I sent the letter and waited months with no cancellation.

    Walked into my new local PF for the first time ONLY to cancel it and was told they couldn't cancel the membership because even though I have a Premium Membership that gives me access to all the locations in the country, I can only cancel at the location I opened the account at. But they did offer to transfer my membership to the new location. So in other words, they can in fact transfer your account over then cancel it, but their company policies prevent them from doing so. A company as big as PF, that already has websites and apps could give you more ways to manage your account, but they purposefully don't.

    They do this on purpose to continue to collect fees from customers unwilling to jump through the extra hoops to cancel their membership. That passive income is the only thing keeping these gyms open because it certainly isn't the equipment, trainers or customer service. Paying a fee to put a stop payment through my bank was the only way I could make the PF autopay stop. Never again.

    When I went to join the gym the young man at the counter put in all my information and then told me it did not go through. I then went on my phone and signed myself up within 2 minutes. Come to find out I was accidentally signed up twice and got charged as such the next month. I went to the gym and told them about it and they said I was successfully back to just one membership.

    I was charged twice the next month and I did not notice it. I just noticed that this month I was once again charged twice and when I called the gym they are flippant, rude and very unprofessional. They told me because I didn't know when I originally was overcharged the first time that they couldn't refund my money. It seems like they have very immature and inexperienced people at the front desk. I just called corporate and I'm waiting for the call back.

    @PlanetFitness very unprofessional outfit. I received an annual membership as a Christmas gift from my kids, I had unexpected open heart surgery and am unable to use the membership. I asked for a refund and was informed at the front desk that I would receive the refund in 10-14 Days, after waiting the 14 days I called to check on the status and was told I don’t get a refund and whoever I spoke to was wrong in what they told me. I think it would be fair to receive at least a partial refund, but to be told I would receive nothing and the membership is cancelled is a terrible way to do business.

    Planet Fitness Moorestown NJ. When I am out and about & I just want to walk on the treadmill, I would go to the gym in street clothing like jeans. Jeans are not allowed because if one uses them on leather seating the studs on the jeans can ruin the leather. But it should be Ok on treadmill. One day, they stopped my workout on the treadmill, called security and did not allow me to finish the workout. After writing to their customer service dept they did not respond personally. They sent generic system emails. I canceled my Black Card membership. They are unreasonable and a crappy gym. I am sure there are other gyms that would be more reasonable. Do not join Planet Fitness.

    Predatory fees, they make it very difficult and expensive to cancel. If you don’t cancel by the tenth they charge you for the next month. I hadn’t been to the gym in 4 months so I decided to cancel. I went into my gym and canceled on the 11, but because I didn’t cancel on the 10th they said I was going to be charged for the next month. I had switched from the regular 10$ a month to the Black Card $27 and thought I had no contract but apparently I was under a contract so I also had to pay a 62$ buy out. Luckily I canceled before the 25th so I shouldn’t be charged the annual fee of 49$. I will be checking my bank.

    Horrible management, for a year I can’t cancel my membership, I changed my state, but they told me to go to my location and cancel it. It’s so stupid. Horrible service. I tried to call several times. No one called me back and never helped with that issue. Acting like a fraud.

    They took the annual fee after the cancelation buy out fee. Stating didn't cancel in enough time. Canceled on the first, took annual fee on the tenth, and banned from the gym on the fifteenth for cancelation. That is why they only do eft withdrawal. So they can dig into your account after you jump through hoops and then blame you!

    I have reported many times to management in the hopes of getting some positive results. Many times there is no paper towels to wipe down equipment. Many times in fact most times at least one of the showers do not have soap in the dispenser. Today was the worst - no toilet paper, no soap and no paper towels. When I report to the front staff or manager the attitude is pretty “no care“. Maybe it’s time for health department to be made aware of the unhygienic conditions at this location! Please owners spend time on customer care training also!!

    The fact that you can’t cancel your membership on the phone or online tells you everything you need to know about this company. You can give them your bank account and credit card all online, but you can’t cancel your membership. This is malpractice and should not be legal ,and can’t believe it is legal in 2025.

    I am normally very supportive and and like PF, but today not so much. They have reduced the access on weekends and I plan the start of my day on that. One this I cannot accept is PF not opening on time. Today (Sunday 2/2/25, Temps in the low 20's) the PF in Aston, PA was suppose to open at 6am. There had to be around 20 members sitting in the parking lot because no one showed up to work. I left at 6:20 with no one still there to open. Totally unacceptable.

    Hi, I come regularly to Planet Fitness! There is a worker named "ABI" and she is the "PERFECT Example" OF WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS in every shape, fashion and form! She is so sweet, kind, caring and very, very "WELCOMING"! She makes me smile and I know I'm going to have a great workout when I see her there! She always make's sure that nothing is in lack! We always have everything right at our finger tips! She is such a delight, they all are at tbe seneca location but "abi" stands out! I truly love her! I pray 🙏🏻 she runs this joint up in the "regional manager" and or top dog "CEO" one day! She definitely deserves it! Shall I stop?

    Now,... I could go on and on. NONETHELESS, hopefully she will get her part in this company, she's an ASSET all day long!     This review is about the PF location in Auburn, WA. The base of most equipment is dusty and needs to be cleaned. The black mat flooring through the gym needs to be thoroughly vacuumed AND mopped on a regular bases. This is overlooked by the staff. There is equipment in the gym that needs to be removed or less of, picture enclosed. I see nobody using it and it's taking up space and in the way. 3 new pieces of equipment should replace them.

    This may be the worst gym option available, to anyone. Terrible equipment, tight space and above all else the cancelation is ridiculous! I signed up in Puerto Rico for the week I was there. Came home and tried canceling and was told that I had to come back in to the Puerto Rico location to cancel in person with a document I had to fill out and sign IN PERSON. What kind of clown show is this. Should have read the reviews before signing up for such a terrible gym. Now I’m wasting my time to try and find a way to cancel the membership without having to fly down to PR to do it in person!

    Notice that the staff of Moncton PF putting on music that isn’t appropriate to the workout environment. Have never heard it before, seen staff looking around after putting It on and waiting for reactions. I went and talked to front desk and they said that other people must be requesting the music and turned around and started to talk a different language to their other staff and both lightly laughed and walked away.

    I informed the Haddon Township Planet Fitness (PF) General Manager, Felicia various lockers do not open - again. I requested her please unlock the locker containing my belongings to change and go home. This occurred about 15 minutes or so before 10 pm closing. She told me, "I don't know how to use lock to open a locker." Further, since I cannot get them to work - she instructed me to bring my own lock and use a smaller unit. I been using this gym since 2019 and know how to operate a lock on the locker. Then, the male employee came into locker room (who has repeatedly opened nonworking lockers for me over past few weeks). I told her she was insulting me, to stop and do the task I requested. Asked, "Is this how you treat customers?" She repeated she did not care - multiple times.

    She escalated the conversation by her raising her fists and threatening to "take him out"! The other male employee witnessed her tirade and had to hold her back from doing something unprofessional in her out of control state. There were also other males in the locker trying to go about their business. One stepped forward to help keep her back. She told me to leave without a chance to change out of sweaty clothes in weather in the teens. Asked her, "Is this how PF treats customers" and again continued to insult, threaten and harass me.

    She proceeded to call the Haddon Township NJ Police regarding an "old ** man" and stated other derogatory comments on the call record. The Police responded to the scene outside of the premises and asked if I wished to file on the incident. Further, they informed me she cancelled my membership due to a policy of Violation of Trespassing.

    Reading about this specific PF, I found a recent customer complaint on harassment and racism actions from this same management team on another review site. I was informed by the police that this is a regular event. Overall it has been a useful gym until this occurred. Unfortunately, my wife, friends and neighbors that use this PF are learning of these two experiences. My wife will not go back, unless this situation is rectified.

    Sunday morning 710 am and it’s 23 degrees. I got to Newburyport gym and it’s closed. No employees. 7am open time. 25 cars parked out front waiting. Hard to get out on a cold Sunday but I did. The employees said, "No. Too cold for work today."

    I am Very Disappointed in the Hamden, CT location for STEALING MONEY out of my Disabled son’s account for the second time. I had a promotional high school students go free during the summer. I still had to add my debit card on file and was charged. I was promised a refund. Never received it and canceled my membership and one month later I’m being charged again for months. Planet Fitness feel they can take advantage of the disabled.

    After trying to correct a problem that they created by typing the wrong account numbers into their system, the manager Evan was arrogant, and unprofessional. Also, while standing at the counter trying to figure the problem out, he was again rude by waiting on another person standing there and not us.

    Some of the workers are great. They do their job and they let you feel at peace. Some of the men in there take their job away too seriously. We pay for memberships for different things whether it’s workout and tanning or just tanning. I should not be refused to go to tan Because I don’t have eyewear. I never wear eyewear. If I get hurt from it that’s my own stupidity, I should be able to tan whenever I want to. That’s what I pay for and then to see the guy workers just staring at girls' butts as they walk in and exercise is ridiculous.

    I went in to become a member today, and I was helped by the manager Brent. He was very professional. He helped me work around my own phone. Because I didn't know how to do it. So he was extremely helpful, and courteous? I only got to use the tanning bed today. Because I was running behind schedule, but he was more than helpful and offered to help in any way!!! And I can't wait to experience the rest that Planet Fitness has to offer. Thanks to this great manager Brent

    Planet Fitness will keep charging you after you cancel your membership. Their system is intentionally set up this way from the very beginning. This company is an ongoing scam and should be investigated by federal authorities.

    Been trying to cancel my membership for over a month. I started it when I was doing work in Minot ND so now it’s my home gym. Never lived in Minot only worked out there. Been told I have to go into my home gym to cancel and no matter how many times I tell them I live clear across the country they still say there’s nothing they can do.

    Yes I called the Minot gym! Nobody knows how to do it and I always get "I’ll have my manager call you." I have yet to receive a call from a manager even after calling back several times! Such a scam. Don’t waste your time or money. I have had the black card for over 3 years and paid every month, now I’m at a local gym since I don’t travel anymore and they won’t cancel. Someone needs to open a class action lawsuit into Planet Fitness for all the money they have scammed from people. There are thousands of reviews exactly like mine! Any young eager lawyers out there?

    I am 100% disabled Vet for PTSD. I use circuit room for efficiency… Everyday others jump to room and cut off circuit and they belittle and treat me with hostility. Have left gym daily in tears. Have told staff, but no result.

    This place is the worse in customer service and the manager has zero common sense. I was charged for the six months, yet my son was not granted access to the gym facilities at Planet Fitness. He was member since 2018. During all those years, My son was not and is not a very frequent gym goer however he never minded paying for his membership due to attendance. As a present for his birthday I started to pay for his gym membership. Therefore, at the end of October 2023, I went to Planet Fitness to claim responsibility for his membership. They took my bank card number and Planet Fitness had my son's debit card information too as he was already a member. Planet Fitness had access to both cards.

    Since November 20, 2023, I have been paying the monthly membership fee of $23.04 until July 2024 without interruption as it was directly withdrawn. In July, Planet Fitness withdrew two payments, one for $39.00 ??? and another for $23.04 on July 1 which is the monthly fee. However, from Jan/Feb 2024 until July, my son faced the following issues:

    1. My son was denied access to the gym facilities several times despite having a valid membership, which withdrew payments successfully from my account yet according to the employees my son was not allowed to use the facilities for nonpayment. They never gave him any explanation further- they just said nonpayment. I check my account and it was being withdrawn.

    2. Lack of communication and support from the gym staff regarding this issue. They failed to tell my son that they needed a second working card on record, even though they have my son's and mine. The issue started when my son's card was declined because his card expired (as his card was on record since 2018), Planet Fitness used my card, and it worked and continued to work until July when I had to cancel it because they kept taking money and not providing services.

    3. There has been an inadequate response to my son's previous attempts to resolve this matter with the manager Ms **, and when he went in person on July 18.

    This is unacceptable and constitutes a breach of contract. My son was a paying member, he had the right to access the services as I was successfully charged. I request immediate action to address this issue, in the form of:

    1. A full refund of the fees paid during the months as he was denied access. Jan - July because PF took money out of my account.

    Female workers cleaning in the male locker rooms while male customers undressing and using the urinal. Is this in the policy handbook. They have no respect for female workers. I have never been at a gym that allows this. I have experienced this on a number of occasions.

    I just wanted to compliment an employee at the Roanoke VA Planet Fitness. Her name is Kerstin (SP?) and she was cleaning machines this morning. I have NEVER (in fifty years of working out) seen someone work as hard as her cleaning the machines. She really is AMAZING. My only complaint out this facility is that they only have two rowing machines and one has been out of service for a very long time. I'm hopeful that at some point it gets repaired or we get another machine. Also, we could REALLY use more stair climbers - We only have three of them and at least 20 treadmills.

    The Planet fitness in question, based in Pennsylvania, the Assistant manager, is a married young woman, who is allowed by current manager and franchise owner, to stop working, text, talk, stare, flirt, with X boyfriend when he comes in to gym. She and X boyfriend mock and antagonize a certain gym customer. This X boyfriend, basically does anything he wants in the gym, because of who he knows. This I'm assuming is allowed under the planet fitness employee ethics policy, all employees have to agree too. Seems fair.

    I bought the year membership. I thought I was getting the full black card membership. Apparently they do offer that if you pay for the full year. I decided to upgrade. They also do not allow you to upgrade if you paid for the year. So if I want to bring a friend, I have to get a new monthly membership and just lose my yearly $252 that I already paid. This sucks.

    I've been a member for a little over a month now. I love the cleanliness of the place. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Lots of workout stations, huge free weight area. I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

    I am beyond frustrated with Planet Fitness. We were unknowingly pulled into a one-year contract and have been trying to get out of it for an entire year. They do not disclose verbally that it’s a one-year contract; instead, they trick you with a seemingly attractive monthly rate. Worse, the only way to cancel is to come in person physically. They offer no customer service. When you call in their automated system is all about how they will not cancel or process your requests. So, I know it is not just my experience. I do not know how this is moral is legal. We warn everyone about the horrific experience. This feels like the biggest scam we have ever endured. Highly and utterly dissatisfied with this company. Avoid at all costs!
