I've been shopping with Zenni Optical for two years and bought from them twice now. I bought full frame glasses which I like the styles. They also provided very fast service, with the product arriving well packaged. Everything went smoothly and it was a great experience.

So, I just got off of the chat with Zenni Optical after 30 minutes of trying to get connected to an agent. This is my first and last order of glasses from these people. They said they can only give me a 50% refund or a one-time 100% store credit refund. I don't want store credit, I want my money back because you guys make low-quality glasses. When I tried them on, my eyes started hurting immediately. The glasses are heavy and the nose pads hurt my nose. I don't suggest ordering glasses from Zenni Optical ever. One of the worst companies I've had the pleasure of dealing with.

I have been a Zenni customer for years and have had a pretty good experience until my last 2 orders. I ordered a thin index lens and when I got them they looked the same as the normal lens. So I got a credit and ordered the same frame again and got a gradient tint. The lens came back completely dark except for a tiny half moon at the bottom. I sent them a photo for a review and the response was "yes! We made a mistake but we can't refund you fully (50% offered minus shipping) because you used a credit to make the purchase." Then when I asked for the corporate information, I received an email stating that the 1st email was a typo and the lens are correct and you can get 50% refund. I requested the corporate office again along with policy information and got no response.

We recently went online and purchased a pair of eyeglasses for our 9 yr old daughter. We placed the order and received our glasses very quickly. The frames we received were pretty flimsy but my daughter was happy. We have had these glasses for a little over 2 months and the left lens was cut too small and will not stay securely in the lens. 9 yr olds are very active and when I called Zenni, they told me I was out of the warranty period. There is a reason their product is so cheap. Don't waste your money buying from them, their glasses literally fall apart after 2 months. Cheap Chinese garbage. Don't purchase glasses from this company.

I made a mistake in paying for shipping, I reached out to them and within the same day they wrote me back and resolved the issue. I will def be buying from them again!

I needed to buy glasses because mine were broken. I had no insurance. I looked online and asked one of my Facebook groups and Zenni Optical was the one that came across the most. I got the full rim plastic single vision ones. Shopping was really quick. I ordered Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM and had the glasses by Friday at 6:00 PM. I had ordered the fastest shipping which was seven days so I was expecting it the next week but then got those in three days. I fully plan on purchasing at least two more pairs of glasses from Zenni Optical.

I called twice for help while trying to place an order online. The first time I hung up after holding for 8 minutes. The second time I hung up after 6 minutes. Then I tried live chat. "Shirley" entered the chatroom after I'd waited a minute or so, then it was a typical wait of 2-3 minutes for each response from her. We got to the question "are you ordering glasses for reading, computer or distance?" I answered it. After several minutes of waiting I typed "hello, are you still there?" Only to get the same question. I answered it again and after another 2-3 minute wait got the same question. That's when I disconnected. I don't know how these people stay in business. I will be buying glasses elsewhere.

After only 2 months of normal/light use, cracks appear on both lenses around the nose bridge screws. The left lens is almost falling off with big cracks and the right lens has multiple spider net like cracks. AND, they are not the low-index lenses, they are mid-index ones. I am very disappointed with such low quality products. This is the first glasses I have that cracked less than 3 years from all the glasses I have ever had. I even have low-index lenses from other companies before and they still stand after 3+ yrs.
I sent email to Zenni and they replied that it's more than 30 days so they cannot help and ask me to order a new one. LOL! They are simply just not standing behind their products. I am so glad that my wife hasn't put in her order yet. Otherwise, there will be another lost soon. So, THINK AGAIN before you order from them!!!

I have been a customer of Zenni Optical for a number of years. I am ready to reorder but their website has changed. I wanted to order glasses with a specific frame. The website does not allow that. I attempted to call their customer service phone number. It said to wait for the next available agent. After 30 minutes, I gave and tried later. Same problem. I tried again today - same problem. I have wasted more than an hour and a half waiting for the unavailable agent. I don't know if they are still in business.

I read all the reviews before ordering online and I was a bit scared. I need to have a set of three lenses at all times. My last standing frames were on borrowed time and I had already gone to America's Best to order my new pairs. Needing my third I researched online for "cheap glasses" and Zenni was the first hit. I looked at the low prices... I read reviews. I came to the conclusion that they were cheap enough to take a risk. I ordered these on a Friday and they were in my mailbox by the following Friday. YES! I love them. FYI I get more compliments with these glasses than with my others. My total with shipping was 17.00. My prescription looks great. Will be purchasing more colors just for fun.

I've ordered at least five pairs of glasses for me, my son, and my husband, and those include a pair of rimless, a plastic, and some metal ones. I did everything online which was easy and everything came in the way I ordered. Zenni got really good quality glasses and pretty much speedy service.

Purchased a pair of eyeglasses from this site less than six months ago. The frames have been gradually coming apart at the joints for a while. A couple weeks ago, one rear piece fell off entirely. Though there is a fake screw head at the attachment point, the attachment mechanism is not a screw--it's some sort of pivoting tab. I've never seen anything like it. Two jewelers I took the glasses to said they couldn't repair them. They weren't repairable. I called Zenni, hoping they at least were capable of repairing their own product. I was jerked around--they said they'd call back, but I had to call back (days later) only to be told that the best they could do was to sell me the same frames at half off. How is asking me for more money a solution to this problem? Losers.

First Timer: I was worried with the many negatives and comments on how cheap and flimsy some glasses were. Another concern was I have a big head and finding a good fit is not easy for me, so ordering without trying first was a gamble (actually for $20 compared to $400... I would risk it). I decided to pull out this old trusty tool called a RULER and made sure the measurements matched glasses I already had that fit great. A magical thing happened when my glasses arrived. They fit GREAT! Measurements are accurate, prescription was right on. Mine do not have a "cheap china made" feel to them. They look great and seem durable so far. I am very glad I took the risk. So do your work and I can say Zenni wont disappoint.

I bought a pair of Progressive lens glasses from Zenni. My first interaction with them. I wore them less than a dozen times and they just broke. No rough treatment. Never squished or dropped. Always in the case if they weren't on my face. Just snapped where the top of the frame meets the nose and I can't even wrap the frame around the lens now. They aren't even quite the same shape. But because it was more than 30 days after my order, too bad so sad, you've just flushed a hundred bucks down the drain. And after having the issue, and their 'inability' to help me out, I see that many many people have either had the same issue with plastic frame glasses or have gotten really bad glasses (partly my fault for not reading the reviews) but really, a decent company would work with a first time customer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
So sorry to hear about your glasses. According to our records, a return authorization number was issued for an inspection. Once your inspection results are in, we'll email you. If you have any further questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask.

I now have with two full-rim tortoise shell glasses and a pair of sunglasses. Everything has always gone smoothly when I order online. It took me so long to order the first pair because I couldn't figure out how to import my prescription but after I learned how to, it's a breeze. The glasses come fitting well and I never had to go to my optometrist and get them fitted. The prescription is spot on. My friend and my sister ordered glasses from them as well. I'll be back.

I thought I had deleted this, which is why I hadn't originally updated it. I was provided replacement frames after contacting them again and refusing to pay for the replacement frames. I was sent a new pair, free of charge.
I'm still not completely satisfied that it was such a pain to get some obviously defective frames replaced, but I'm glad I wasn't completely left out in the cold after my second reply.
Original Review: Oct. 19, 2016
First off, I'd like to preface this with the fact that I have never broken or had a pair of glasses frames broken on me ever. I'm a photographer by profession, so keeping my glasses in perfect shape is important to me. I treat them gingerly, place them in their case when they're off, and never leave them out in a spot where they'd get damage. So imagine my surprise tonight when I adjusted my glasses, from Zenni, on my face and the right part of the frame crumbled like (as my wife stated) a cookie. It just gave way. Obviously there was some structural defect within that caused this, so I figured it'd be easy to get a replacement. To my dismay, I was told that since I was past their 30 day return period, I was unable to get a replacement without purchasing it.
Sure, I'd be given 50% off the final price but that doesn't change the fact that I had obviously been provided an inferior product and that it was not at all my fault that they happened to rapidly disassemble. I'm not going to be ordering from here in the future. I'm not going to be suggesting them to friends, family, and random internet people as I had in the past. At this point, I'd rather pay full price elsewhere than accept their offer. If stuff works for you, great, but they do not stand behind their product, regardless of how defective it may be. I'm just glad they didn't decide to pop apart while I was driving or something.
So sorry to hear about your glasses. We've reviewed your order and found that a replacement frame was sent to your home at no charge. According to our records, it was delivered as of Oct. 31st. If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Thank you!

My husband got his glasses from Zenni, and told me about them. Their products are more affordable compared to other companies, so I bought a pair of sunglasses as well. My autistic daughter breaks glasses like five times a year. Zenni Optical's glasses are inexpensive so I'm not spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of glasses for her to break them in a month. The most recent order was for my son. He had convinced his entire school that he needed glasses and when we took him to the eye doctor, they said he doesn't need glasses. It came out that he feels so left out that the whole family has glasses and he doesn’t so we decided we would get him a fashion pair to help him feel a little bit more part of the family. Being able to find inexpensive and good quality glasses is very nice, and I do it through Zenni's website which is really easy to use.
The most difficult part in getting a pair of glasses is finding the PD part of their prescription because even the eye doctor doesn't really give that as part of the prescription. Measuring the PD myself is not always accurate so my kids and I would go to an in-person retailer and ask them to measure. Other than that, it's a great service provided for anybody. Zenni's glasses are of great quality and price and ordering online is very easy.

I needed glasses but couldn't afford them, we're poor people. If I had to buy my glasses through an eye doctor, it would probably be about $600. It's ridiculous that glasses are that high, but with Zenni Optical, I'd only pay something like $34 and I'll get glasses with the trifocal or no-line progressive lenses, or those gray ones when the light changes. I ordered two full-rim glasses from them six years ago, and I just ordered again for my husband. The customer service lady on the phone was wonderful to help me. I'm not a computer person and I don't know where to put the prescription, and she walked me through it. She went right down the process with me. I love Zenni Optical, and have recommended them to a lot of people.

After I figured out how to take my measurements, I got a great pair of glasses that I love. The trick is to spend a little on the frames and a lot on the lens. Get the extra coating, the better quality lens, and the best auto tint (so while riding in a car they will get darker). I found a pair to fit my wide face. A big plus in the way they feel. I paid a lot for a pair at a Big Box store. Now I only wear the pair I got from Zenni Optical. I sent my first pair back (too tight) with no problems at all. This is where I will buy my next pair.

My sister told me about Zenni. The prices were pretty nice, but mainly, the magnetic sunshades caught my attention at a relatively low price. The first time I ordered glasses, I entered my prescription wrong, so I got my glasses and they were bad. So, I contacted the customer service and they told me how I can return the glasses. Then, one of their rep told me what numbers I needed to put so the prescription could work. It looked silly and then she sent me an email with instructions on how to return glasses. Then, I got my next pair, they were perfect and better than any ridiculously expensive glasses I've ever had even though they're pretty cheap in material.
I was going hiking in the Grand Canyon and needed to have my sunglasses on my glasses together. The full-rimmed glasses worked out, I have never lost my sunshades and been hiking quite a bit. Zenni has been great; I was telling my roommate yesterday that she should get Zenni glasses because mine are great, and she placed an order for glasses from them.

I got a new prescription glasses from my eye care provider and then decided to buy another from Zenni Optical since I wanted to try a different set of frames but wasn’t willing to commit to an expensive price. It's $30 at Zenni's so I tried it out and glad I did. I ordered online and the process was easy. I wasn’t really sure about the quality at first before I ordered and when I got the glasses, I was very impressed. I have them for two months now and I wear them more than I do the prescription that I bought at the eye doctors’. They're worth it. I’ve recommended Zenni Optical to a couple people. I like Zenni Optical's setup on how they take a picture of the face, then line up the pupils. I thought it'd make it more accurate for the glasses. I like that and I like its price too. I have two pairs of glasses. One of them was readers’, which I like, and then I decided to order another pair. However, I put in the wrong information. I appreciate that they were prompt. So, when I got the first pair that I ordered wrongly, they were good at responding through e-mail on what I should do and how I could return them. I had them put in the correct prescription and got the next other glasses and I'm currently wearing them.
I wanted another glass that had the more tortoise shell look and so when I reordered the first pair that I ordered with wrong prescription, it was a similar pair. I like how it looked on my face. They have progressive lenses and they’re really lightweight which is what I wanted. I've had them for four months now. The ordering process was really easy. I felt like it was a fair price and the frames are good. I know there are some people who really like certain kinds of lenses and protection, and all of that was offered on the Zenni website but I chose to go the middle ground because my prescription has been changing a lot. So, for me to go in every year and pay $400 for a pair of glasses, I couldn’t do that. Overall, It was a good experience. They have good customer service and good product. I would recommend it to other people for a good fair price in eyewear. I thought their website was also very user-friendly.

I ordered the thinnest lens possible, 1.74 high index, and after 3 weeks waiting, it came much thicker than my regular lens from an old pair of eyeglasses that were 4 years old that had even stronger prescription than this new one. I had to pay to have it shipped back to them for "inspection" which turns out to be denial on their part of anything wrong with their product. I guess their lens is substandard and misrepresented when they use the same index rating as with other companies. They gave me two options, either get full store credit and order a different pair of the same substandard lenses, or get only 50% refund. That's a big loss on my part. So I ordered a different pair with smaller frame, with the hope that it won't be as thick as the first one.
After 2 weeks of waiting checking their online status, they showed that this pair failed their Quality Control 6 times and they had to remake them. Now it's getting into the third week after the second pair was ordered, I am still waiting for the lousy pair of eyeglasses to be mailed out. Buyer beware, spend your money wisely and buy somewhere else!

I wish I knew about Zenni Optical earlier than now. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was nine and I wish I knew when they came into inception so my life would have been a lot easier. I was complaining about a pair of expensive glasses that I had on since there was something wrong with the lens like they were spotted and it was affecting my vision. When I told my colleague the price, he told me about Zenni Optical and then it so happens that I saw their commercial on TV later on that evening. So I said, “Somebody up there wants you to pay attention to Zenni Optical.”
I told my optometrist that I was gonna try Zenni and she said fine. I asked to have the pupillary distance put on there. I went online and put in the prescription. I usually get darker, heavy rimmed frames, but I decided to try something different. So I got glasses with wire on the sides but rimless around the lens and they’re a perfect fit. I’ve not had to call customer service for anything and the online ordering process was very easy. I don’t know if I have the option of trying to upload a picture of myself to put the glasses on so if I have more time, I’ll try that but it was fine. I’m now getting ready to order more to have other pairs of glasses because the price is so ridiculously reasonable. My glasses cost a little bit more because I need the lenses shrunk since my vision, uncorrected, is 20/400, but it’s still much less than what I was paying. I love it. My glasses have great vision, I’ve had no problems with my lenses, and I’m good.

I was an early user of Zenni and their glasses were good value. About 18 months ago I had to return a pair that broke and had dramas even getting a reply and although they were within their "warranty" period they only offered me a 50% discount on another pair. Recently I had to get glasses at very short notice and bought 3 pairs from Zenni. The first pair; the arm fell off within 2 weeks. I returned the spectacles to Zenni for repair and refund of postage. They sent me a bag of screws and plastic washers and no instructions of what to do with them... BUT didn't return my glasses. I emailed them asking for instructions and my glasses. They arrived this week still broken.
Second pair, arm fell off after 3 weeks. Zenni now want photos and grandma's inside leg measurements presumably. 3rd pair, arms are coming loose already. OK, I'd say Zenni have gone the distance, they were good and are now selling very cheap and nasty glasses which when you consider the longevity of them are no longer any kind of value for money. I'd say BUYER BEWARE. Their "warranty" is no longer being honored and you are really wasting your money with these people.
We're so sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, our warranty for our glasses is 30 days from the date that they are delivered. For orders that are outside our warranty, we offer 50% off frame only products.

I love, love, love my glasses that I got from Zenni. Beautiful and very affordable for this senior citizen who has no visual health coverage. BUT, my husband's experience was completely the opposite. Within the first day of wearing his new glasses, a screw fell out and so did one lens. He repaired the glasses by using a different screw to secure the lens to the frame, and the very next day, 2 days after receiving the glasses, the other screw on the other lens fell out and that lens also fell out. So he requested a repair from Zenni.
They sent him a replacement frame that contained plain lens and a handy-dandy screw driver to help with the removal of the plain lenses and replacement of his prescription lenses. You'd think great, right? Wrong, the screws in the new frames became stripped immediately and so the new frames are also a complete failure. I really wanted to get a new pair of sunglasses from Zenni, but how can I with such horrible customer service. Come on guys! Zenni, you offer a great service. The frames are very comparable to any other people I see out there in the world and when I see a pair online, I know that the worst that they could hit me up for is like $35. I talked to their customer service and asked about when I could get my glasses because I get anxious but then I never had any issues.
Also, the online ordering process was easy. However, it starts becoming an onus to get through the prescription. I would double check if I get the prescription right when I put it in. It would be awesome if the doctor could fax the prescription over, then I wouldn’t have to worry that I messed up. But it’s good and you gotta tell them what they’re gonna make. It's affordable, easy, and fun. I recommended it to my friend and talked to her yesterday to see if she got her glasses yet.

My wife had bought glasses for our younger son through Zenni Optical. Since then, I bought a pair, she bought a pair, we got a pair for my son and one of my best friends ordered a pair from them. They make the glasses come here on time and they are what I needed. That’s all that matters to me. When I go on the website, it’s really easy to try the different frames on my own facial features. I just pop the frames on my own photo and see how they look.

Hello, I just used Zenni Optical for the first time. I thought it would be a great experience since my family uses Zenni Optical and they have no complaints. Unfortunately I have a few. I received glasses that I bought last Tuesday. I can't see a thing out of them and they give me motion sickness. So I called and asked for a refund. I don't see why I can't get a 100% of my money back, you guys will only give me 50% back. Also, I have to pay shipping to ship them back even though they are defective and it is a factory mistake. For me to pay shipping for sending them back and getting a new pair is the cost of 3 pairs of glasses. So I called back the next day and left a message for a manager, and they never got back to me. Unfortunately, your company just lost a couple of customers.

I have tried other websites and I wanted to try something different. A friend told me about Zenni Optical and I got a full-rim eyewear from them. But then I had to return one because it was way too big. The dimensions were way off on my face and really huge. It was not good at all when I took a picture. The description also had said they were like tortoiseshell but they were extremely dark. They were like black and not brown so that was misleading. I kept the other pair because I needed something since my other glasses had broken. Now I still have a credit because of the one I had to return.

I ordered 2 pairs of progressive lens bifocals from Zenni Opitcal in June. One of my pairs was very heavy and the lenses were very thick and stuck out beyond the frame. The other pair was much lighter and did not stick out beyond the frame. Both pairs were ordered on the same day, with the same prescription and with the same type of lenses. The first pair I describe above was significantly different than the other pair. However, I really liked the frames (and really liked the clip on sunglasses) and I proceeded to wear them. The lenses became scratched very badly and the frames became so loose that they were constantly slipping down my face.
I have worn glasses for many years and I have never had a pair of glasses so poorly made from a website. Something is wrong with the lenses. As I said above, they are so thick and heavy they almost seem like glass lenses instead of polycarbonate like I ordered, and like my other pair is. And the scratches on them render them useless to me.
I attempted to reach a customer service person in the "live chat" section of their website, which was not in fact live. I explained my situation and I received a very curt and rude email stating that my glasses were no longer covered by the return policy and that I was welcome to order another pair. I just spent $120 on these in June. I expect my glasses to last 2 years at the least. I am very unhappy with the service and the quality of these glasses. Which is too bad because I get lots of compliments on the frames and wish I would feel more comfortable recommending Zenni.

Zenni Optical was about the only one that had the mail order at a really good price at the time I had to buy eyewear. I like them a lot. However, the frame was real flimsy on one of the pairs that my husband and I bought from them. And on the other one, the prescription wasn't exactly right. I sent them back and we got 100% credit sitting there but my husband can't decide what he wants to buy right now. We got emails from them that the credit was there and it's clear that they want me to spend it. They don't want to put it back in their account. Also, I have a pair of red cat-eye glasses that have been a big hit with lots of people but they quit making them. I'm a school librarian and this is the first pair of glasses I ever ordered just for fun. They're also the most comfortable glasses I've ever had.

I would encourage anyone considering purchasing from Zenni to purchase with caution. I purchased five pairs of glasses and every pair, except one, gives me severe headaches almost instantly. I am assuming they were made with the wrong prescription. As I have seen from other reviews, they frequently are manufactured incorrectly and I am assuming that is what happened to me 4/5 times or 80% of the time. That is not a very strong ratio and certainly not a very strong product. Like I said, purchase with caution. I know there are other, more sterling providers out there that likely have better products.
So sorry to hear about your experience with us. Anytime an error is made, we always ensure that it is correct. After reviewing your order, we'd be happy to make an exception and have you return your glasses so we may inspect them for any errors on our part, although they are out of warranty. I am hoping that Zenni will correct this problem. I brought my glasses in July. I didn't realize there was a 30 return policy. Of course that is my fault. But when I received the glasses, which I do like and look good in, the lens was strong. So because of this I thought well my eyes need to adjust to them. Well it's been two months and my eyes aren't adjusting. I get nauseous wearing them. I call today and talked to a representative that informed me that I need to call back with my prescription. But that it has been over 30 days. I just hope they correct the problem. The price was great, the glasses I love. I'm hoping to have a long business relationship with Zenni. Their return policy has to change.
UPDATED ON 10/08/2016: This is my second review for Zenni optical. I return my glasses. And opted to get the 100% refund. But now you have to wait a couple of days for that to happen. I have been walking around for 2 months with very bad eyesight in a pair of glasses that are scratch up and can't see out of. Well hopefully they will issue the refund before I am blind.
So sorry to hear this, Debra. As a company, we are always willing to correct any issues you may have. Even if you are out of warranty, if there is any issues, especially if the error came from our end, we will always do our best to correct it.

I have bought glasses from Zenni in the past when they were the "cheapie" on the block. Only had one incident when they refused to take back a defective product. My last pair ordered about a year ago, suffered a break in the earpiece when I tried to adjust it for comfort. Unheard of!!! Crap plastic. I had a similar pair previously and attempted to replace the temple/earpiece. They have an internal spring/detent which is superfluous except for making it impossible to replace the t/e_piece without special tools.
I have repaired watches, glasses, jewelry with precision equipment designed for these, but am presently not at home. Frustrating to know you have what you need to do it but it's not there. I did get the new t/e_piece on by removing some superfluous metal at the hinge, and it worked but wobbled. This experience notwithstanding, I went back to Zenni, did all the ordering for their basic $12.95 glasses which totaled up to ~ $28, to which they added an unexplained $18, almost $50 total with shipping. I got the glasses from $39 glasses for about $5 less. Enough of this sleazy double-talk. I'm certain this un-reuseable t/e_piece with cheap plastic is just to make repair next to impossible. The Chinese aren't THAT clever. It's all quite obvious.

I ordered it through their website and it was extraordinarily easy, but people are hesitant to do it. I could upload my own photo of myself and try on a million pair of glasses on my own face. They have extensive reviews and it was one of the easiest to use websites that exist, and I order a lot online. I have progressive bifocals, and each time, they came out great. It's easy to measure your own eyes once they teach you how to do it. After I ordered my first pair, they sent me a little measuring stick that we could use to order the next pair and measure the pupil where they were. So it is an amazingly great value and very creative. I have recommended to a friend.

First they told me that as it's already more than a month, they cannot do anything and then they wrote a paragraph on how to take care of my glasses. I am using glasses for more than 20 years and never I had any incident like this. I am really dissatisfied with their customer care as well as their product. I am going to find another online shop.
So sorry to hear about your glasses, Aniruddha. Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon issue with rimless glasses. There are a lot of factors that may result in the lens cracking. I normally buy through LensCrafters but they were getting increasingly pricey. I really didn't know anything about ordering glasses but when I went to Zenni's website, it showed the information that I needed. So I went back to the LensCrafters store where I normally go and get my glasses and asked them for the information, which they gave me. I took a little bit of playing around on the website just to make sure Zenni is answering the right dimensions and information. But at that price that I paid, it seemed to be worth the risk.
I got the full rim and the frame fit very well - which was surprising how good it fit. The lenses were okay, but the only problem is the quality of the lens. They get a little foggy. There's like a film on them sometimes right in the line of vision. And you have to clean them with a nylon or polyester cloth, but a cheese cloth really works better. Their website is pretty helpful because most people don't have all of that information available to them. So I printed out the available information online, and took it down to LensCrafters. They looked me up in their system and gave me the information I needed. And then I went back home, plugged the information back in to the site and pressed "order now".
To put in perspective, anytime you order anything which is kind of medically related, you're always apprehensive that you're throwing money away because there's nobody standing in front of me. I could afford to lose 40 bucks, but the average person might run away from that because they can go to the pharmacy and buy those $12 glasses. But overall, I think the experience was good. The case was a little cheap though. The case that came in was a little less than desirable but the glasses were great. I will definitely do it again.

It could include the Transition and the photo chromatics ‘cause that was one of those that I was trying to figure out.

I chose to purchase from them because of their price and well-designed website. However, their website is a little bit limited in terms of having smaller glasses and frames for narrow heads like myself. I order all types of glasses from Zenni Optical not only for me but also for my friends because it's cheaper. I compared Zenni to the local optical store, and they are the best. Their service team is wonderful. Although sometimes the frame I choose is not right, I didn't waste too much money. I can reorder a different one. However, their website has changed through time. The menu is not easy to learn unlike before and it doesn't guide us to find what type of glasses we need to choose. It would be wonderful if I could lessen the chances to make mistakes since when I start ordering, I don't know what kind of frame will fit me well.
Also, I use the highest standard with the anti-reflective, scratch, and easy to clean lens. When the glasses come back, I feel nothing special. It's the same as before. So I'm not sure it is worth to pay extra money to buy the premium features for the glasses. But except this one, everything is okay. I check the lens because I'm an eye doctor so I have a tool to check, and it's accurate.

When it comes to serious matter, that would hurt their business they'll just ignore your review and you'll never see it posted. I verified this myself. So when you shop at Zenni, just ignore all those wonderful comments and use your judgement and common sense, and don't forget if it's too cheap to be true... it's not. My husband and I usually do a full rim and as for our kids, we usually do the full rims as well, but also half rims sometimes. We've been customers for about two years and it was our second time to order. Everything is easy and convenient. One of the things that I liked a lot was being able to choose the specific sizes as far as the width of the lens because I like to get a smaller size glasses. And right now, the style is the big one so I didn't wanna have to sort through all of that. I was able to plug in the height of the lens. And that made my ordering a lot easier.
The only thing that occasionally is problematic, is when I'm uploading a picture for the eyewear and sometimes the picture uploads smaller. But usually, if I just keep re-uploading the picture, it will eventually come to the right size where the glasses looks appropriate for the face. Other than that, everything works really well.

The 2 new pairs I got were obviously blue tint, not grey. I returned to 2 blue pairs back to Zenni for inspection.
When Zenni emailed back, they said that the order was correct and that the tints on the 2 pairs of sunglasses looks blue because of the mirror coat, which is complete ** because both pairs look equally blue and only 1 pair had a mirror coat. As a mom of two young boys who both wear glasses I was actually referred to Zenni Optical by the optometrist's front desk. My boys are both pretty hard on their glasses and insurance would only cover one pair every 2 years. After my youngest broke his pair for the 3rd time in 10 months I needed another source that wouldn't financially cripple me. The optometrist's office gave me all the specifications I needed, I crossed my fingers and ordered. My youngest boy is extremely far-sighted (+6.5) with an astigmatism in one eye. I was charged slightly more for his prescription but this cost was still way below I would have had to pay at any eye center!
The boys both received their glasses and we immediately took them into their doctor to verify they were correct. She said they were slightly off on the prescription but overall fit well and would suffice as a replacement. My boys both said that they fit comfortably and could see well with them. I would recommend Zenni Optical as a replacement pair of glasses, I have not ordered any for myself yet but I will when I need another pair.

I had just gotten back from spending a lot of money on a pair of glasses and wanted to have different colors for different outfits. So I thought of going to Zenni. The first pair I got was a white one which I no longer have because the prescription was plain white all the way around in a cat’s eye. I ordered another pair that had the frame all the way around with a pink tint and I loved it. Then I got the red one that had the frame on the top. The glasses that I received were all good and I like them. All are a cat’s eye and I happen to like the way it looks on my face.
I've been very happy with the choices of glasses that Zenni have had, as well as the quickness with which I put in my order -- it's there in a heartbeat. As far as the prescription goes, they seem to get that one right on the button with the information that I gave them. They’re good up until one point when I ordered the red frame. It was out of stock so I asked them to notify me when it would be in stock. They did notify me, so I went online and ordered the glasses. I wound up with one pair that had the prescription in it and one that was blank. I think it was because I had requested that they let me know when that red frame came in, which they did, and I think they assumed I wanted it without the prescription. So that appeared to be a double order and I paid $19.95 for the additional pair. I did contact them about it and they said I ordered it. Except for that one occasion, everything has been great.

I ordered 3 pair of glasses from Zenni Optical 2 years ago. After less than a year, the surface of the photo gray lenses started bubbling to a point where I couldn't use them anymore. Zenni replaced this one set free of charge. A year later the replacement glasses again had the same issue. I contacted them recently about this and they denied the claim. Granted, it was after the 12 months period, but I have to ask myself: Shouldn't glasses last longer than 12 months? The other 2 pairs I ordered, 1 set of clear and one set of sunglasses are OK. The tint on the sunglasses are starting to come off at the edges and will become an issue shortly but for right now it's OK. Overall, I'm not very impressed with the company and would not recommend them to my friends any longer. While the prices are attractive, having to replace lenses every year becomes a costly endeavor in the long run.
We're so sorry to hear about your experience with us, Alex. We've reviewed your order and found that your new order is in the process of being manufactured. Tracking information will be emailed once it's available.

Admittedly, I was looking for a cheap, alternate source for my progressive glasses prescription. Based on the difference in prices between the glasses I have been getting and Zenni's prices, I figured it would be worth taking a chance and incurring the cost of a second pair of glasses. Zenni customer support was very helpful and caring. There were no issues with ordering the lenses and picking out my glasses online. I added all the options - polycarbonate lenses, anti-reflective coatings, etc. The price, at $125 (approx) was quite reasonable.
I paid for the expedited delivery and received my glasses quickly. This was the point at which my dissatisfaction began. The frames were nice and pretty much what I expected. I had also ordered the "clip-on" sunglasses but was not impressed with them - they didn't *exactly* clip on, rather, they had two long "arms" that extended downward. These did not clip on but slid over the lenses. While they did fit the glasses I ordered, the arms actually covered part of the lenses and were in the way - meaning that I had a visual distraction as I kept seeing the arms... at least until I eventually got used to it.
Next, I put on the glasses. Not good. I have only been wearing progressive lenses for the last 5 years or so. But, the only brand I've ever owned was Silhouette frames with Zeiss lenses. The progressive pattern (shape) and view area of the Zeiss lenses were awesome. This was NOT the case with my Zenni lenses. In order to see distance on the Zenni lenses, I had to look only in one specific part of the lens... miss it, and it was unacceptable (and terribly blurry). There was no peripheral viewing with these glasses - in order to look up or to the side, you had to turn your head in order to view in that direction. When I contacted Zenni, I was told that I could send my glasses back. They confirmed that according to them at least, they had done the glasses correctly. They offered me a 50% credit back on my credit card or a one-time use, 100% credit for in-store purchase.
To be clear, even though the glasses themselves were not... the quality of the bifocal/progressive lenses was awful. They were unusable. To be fair though, I did also order a pair of sunglasses to see how I would like them. The sunglasses were not progressives... it was a single prescription. I did like the quality of those glasses and would actually recommend them. Still, to me, it is not worth the risk (or the cost) to order any new glasses from Zenni. If I am not pleased with the quality of workmanship, I'm not willing to spend 50% of those glasses to send them back. I will not be doing business again with Zenni... I was not impressed.

At which this time I immediately called Zenni Optical using the 24/7 customer number listed and advised them of what had happened and after getting the runaround and following their instruction via emails at which I am now providing proof and all documents that I have without compromising the security of my account, they are now refusing to refund my account the amount that was taken and to add insult to injury, they know that the order never went through and so to keep my money are asking me for a order number and I feel I have enough. I just want my refund because I have no order and I am out of the financial spent.
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. We were able to find your transaction and refunded your credit card in full as of August 18th.

Over the time that I bought glasses from Zenni Optical the quality has gotten lower in terms of how they're put together. It’s still a bargain, but almost to where I have to buy two pairs to get one that works. For example, the last pair I bought was a replacement for a pair of sunglasses that I thought I lost. After I reordered and the new pair was en route, I found the ones that I thought I had lost. And when the new ones came in, the tint was of a different color from the original even though I just reordered what was there. It still beats paying $600 for a pair of glasses but I think they’re probably becoming overworked.
When I try to contact their customer service reps, I kept getting referred to an automated machine where I put in some word and it will think about what it is I'm trying to tell it and respond back, so I stopped using that. I ended up sending a message because my last pair of glasses had taken two or three weeks to get done because it kept failing the final QA. But I'm wearing them now and they work, so it's all good.

I am in the private security field and I need to have good glasses. I was told I can go to Zenni Optical and buy their great glasses. They come from China, are really inexpensive and I can buy three or four sets for the price of one that I get at a normal place here in the States. I looked it up, ordered a set of glasses and they look good so I've kept on ordering. I usually go with the full rim sunglasses, mostly plastic and progressive bifocal.
One thing they don’t offer in their frames and lenses is a type of tactical lenses - prescribed to include progressive, bifocal and transitions - that I use in frames like Wiley X and Oakley. The most I get with Zenni is a kind of sunglass frame but they're not wraparound. I can get a wraparound in a goggle type, but they're going to only be single vision. I had to go outside of Zenni for those. But it's very easy to order at Zenni and if one knows one's prescription and it's accurate, one can get a guarantee to get a good lens at a very good price. The lenses always seem to fit good and work fairly well so I never had to deal with their customer service.

It’s cheaper to get glasses through Zenni Optical than it is using my insurance. I used them when I wore prescription glasses, but since I had LASIK done I no longer needed them. My daughter, however, needed some, so I went ahead and uploaded my daughter’s prescription on their easy to use website. However, trying to upload pictures on an Android mobile phone and selecting anything there didn’t work very well for me, yet it worked fine when I used it on my Mac. You can also try on hundreds of frames when you upload a picture and it’s easy to find something that will work. We then purchased a couple of pairs for my daughter.

First of all I have ordered glasses from Zenni before and was very pleased. THIS time, I sent an order and when I received them, I couldn't see out of them. At the present I am wearing a pair that was made by the store where I had my eye exam, (same prescription). They work fine. I sent my prescription to Zenni, and about 3 weeks later, I received my glasses, put them on and couldn't see. I called customer service and was told "Send them back and we'll remake them." I received the "second" pair two weeks ago and THIS pair, same thing. I called. They said "Send them back again." I did.
Today I get an email saying there's nothing wrong with the glasses, their doctors checked my prescription and the glasses are correct. Well how can that be when I am wearing glasses made by the clinic that did my eye exam for the prescription that I sent to Zenni and I have no problem with them, but each pair Zenni sends is like looking through a magnifying glass and they continue to say the glasses are correct? They offered 100% refund. I accepted. No mention of the postage I spent for them to correct THEIR mistakes each time. I may try them again when they get rid of that lying doctor and dispensing optician that made the glasses.
So sorry to hear this. We've reviewed your order and found that a postage refund was given on 7/19 for your first order that was found to be incorrectly made. Unfortunately, for the second order, we were unable to refund postage as our inspection determined the glasses were made correctly.

I don’t order as much from Zenni because I can’t find glasses that are wide enough for my fat head but my kids order stuff from them all the time. I have insurance that I pay for wherein I can only get one pair of glasses or one set of contacts. I have about a dozen pairs of Zenni glasses. Three are sunglasses, one is the "blue blocker" lens for computer use, and I have processed one return/exchange with them for store credit. RETURNS: The processing on the return was a bit lengthy. I returned the pair because I didn't like it, not for manufacturing/prescription issues, so I didn't have questions to answer, really. I did have to pay return shipping, but that's a small loss considering they're having to completely scrap a pair I requested. My biggest recommendation is to use the site's tools to measure an existing pair of glasses you own so you can get a better idea of what measurements look best on you BEFORE ordering. (Except PD - have a pro measure that vs DIY guesswork.)
Their "try before you buy" by uploading pics of you doesn't do any pair justice, really - they're ALL going to look bad in that picture. I also recommend checking Instagram for "#justgotmyzennis" and looking for the same frames or same face shape as you have. SUNGLASSES: Holy crap - if you are getting lenses, get the gradient tint. The solid tint looks awful - 80% gray tint makes you look like a blind person. The gradient tints are wonderful - they don't hinder your vision, but block the sun up top well - great for driving. This is the first time I've been able to afford prescription sunglasses. Spring for the extra $3 or so for gradient instead of solid!
BLUE BLOCKER: I'm only on day two of wearing these lenses that are supposed to be better in florescent lights and in front of computer screens. Even bright screens don't seem to cause quite as much strain on my eyes, but I could be imagining it. REGULAR GLASSES: My prescription is strong enough that they recommend the extra $35 for thinner lenses, but I really don't notice much difference in the thinnest and the thickest lenses. It's kind of crappy that if I opt for the default, typically free, lenses, I still have to pay an extra $9 for my prescription to be accommodated, but once I got past feeling like they kept hitting me with fees, it's not so bad. YES, a $6.95 pair ends up costing $15.95 plus $4.95 shipping, but that is still a GREAT price for a full pair. These just don't feel as substantial or high-quality as my pairs from the eye doctor, but they are still wonderful. I have not had issues with them breaking.
My eye doctor wanted $300 this year for a full pair AFTER insurance had already covered their part. Costco was around $200 a few years ago without my insurance. I started using Zenni as a way to get "fun" glasses in different colors. I still prefer my "fancy" glasses from the eye doctor, though. Overall, I highly recommend Zenni. I have lots of friends that have crappy insurance or no insurance, so this is a wonderful option to help people get the vision they need at a price they can afford. Even if you have money to spare for insanely priced eye-doctor's office glasses, this is great to get "fashion" pairs to change stuff up so you don't have to wear contacts all the time. :) I really have enjoyed the freedom Zenni offers me.

I placed an order for three pairs of glasses in May. I noticed one pair was wrong right away so I called immediately. They made me dizzy when I walked and the lenses were so thick they stuck out past the frames even though I selected the recommended lens shaving for my prescription. They made me pay to ship it back, gave me store credit, then made me pay additional shipping to send the corrected order. On my next order I selected the highest lens shaving (much more expensive) and when the glasses arrived they were just as thick as the first pair and still made me dizzy while walking with them on. I didn't want to pay more shipping and get nowhere so I decided to just forget about it.
But then about a week ago my daughters glasses fell apart. When I tried putting the screw back in I noticed the screw holes weren't lined up. In the meantime I had also found out that the third pair of glasses (my other daughter's) were also wrong and she couldnt see with them, but she didnt want to tell me. So I called the company to see what they could do about all this. They said I was out of the 30 day return policy. I told him I have 3 pairs of glasses that I can't use, two that are incorrect prescription and 1 that is broken, and he said there was nothing he could do.
He suggested I go to the website and get half off on a pair of frames for the broken pair of glasses. No thank you! When I told him I would never order from their company again he just said "ok" and hung up on me!! It takes 2 weeks just to get your order and they start your 30 days from the time your order is placed. This is the worst return policy ever and does nothing for breakage. LOVE the frame selections, quality and price 10 STARS!

I’m extremely happy with my Zenni Optical glasses. I like their price. I went for a traditional square type of glasses and I liked the way they look. Their reps have been really good. I talked to them to help me out with some of the pictures on the website and they were responsive. Their shipping was really good too. It has been fast and I really like it. Everything’s great and I’m saving up to order my next glasses.

For the price, I went with Zenni Optical. But when I received the first pair I ordered, the lenses were not installed. When I lifted them out of the case, one lens completely fell out. They were the cheapest pair of glasses I've ever seen. I immediately called Zenni Optical and made plans to send the glasses back. I ordered a replacement pair, changed my lenses and the quality has been fine. Their customer service took care of the problem. I got the glasses with the metal frame, and they're silver so that they would match more of what I would wear versus going with a colored one. However, with the second pair, it was supposed to be women size glasses. But they're probably for a child because they're smaller-fitting.

I got half-rimmed glasses (metal on top and rimless on the bottom) from Zenni Optical and I've had them for about three months. The online ordering process was really easy, I’d do it again. They got the glasses to me in a very timely fashion. I sent the glasses back, they did everything, and all went good. I have no complaints whatsoever and the experience was nothing but great.

I’ve been purchasing from Zenni Optical for ten years and they have good costs. I recently bought a couple of wireframes which look best with my face. The online ordering process was very easy and my purchase showed up two weeks later. My favorite part is that they keep my prescription handy so I don’t have to find it every time.

So I found a pair of frames I ADORED and were right in my budget. I ordered them, thinking they would fit my prescription (which is very thick, but the PD was in the range). Wrong. I had to stay in contact with a rep for A WEEK trying to find a solution, and the only one was going with a so-so pair because I desperately needed a new pair. After thinking about it overnight, I called in to cancel my order because it had not even been 18 hours since I agreed to the frames. I was told I can only get store credit even though my frames had not been shipped or started. It was a 'medical device' a rep told me, so I could ONLY get a store credit.
Meanwhile, I looked on their website and there was a 50% reimbursement option, but the rep I spoke to said there was no way I could get money back on my Debit Card. I have sent numerous emails about this, and have had no resolve to this day. So now, I have to take action and dispute the charge since I have been given 2+ weeks of runaround and I never got the product I ordered because I DO NOT WANT IT. All I want is my money back and this company refuses to help. Doing my business at a local place this time.

Zenni Optical's eyewear was pretty reasonably priced and they had a wide selection, so I got a Ray-Ban style set from them because I liked how this looked on me. I've had this set for around a year. It was easy to order it online and I got it shipped to my house in a pretty good amount of time. Everything went well.

I got my first pair of Zenni eyeglasses seven months ago. It has progressive lenses and it's for far-away and close-up vision. I like the looks of it. One time, I called customer service and they were very, very nice. I was happy to work with Zenni and I will continue to. It was a nice experience.

The glasses that Zenni Optical sells are a lot cheaper than other brands and, although I couldn't actually try the glasses on, they had all these sizes so it was a lot easier buying from them than going and buying some brand name glasses that I don't really need. It was easy to order online from them. I bought two pairs and I didn't like the look of the first pair, but I really like the wire frames of the second pair that I just got. They fit my pupil distance and look interesting. I'm in the military, so I needed a pair of really simple glasses with thin wire frames.

We heard about Zenni from a waitress, we liked her glasses. She started talking about it and I said, "That's an idea." I looked it up since we're in the market for glasses. I'm not that stylish because of my age. Zenni Optical is a standard product and we found some eyewear that we liked that's adequate for our needs, and it was very reasonable. When I called them since I had a hard time understanding the prescriptions, the techs were helpful. It straightened me up. I could read with my eyeglasses. They're a little strong but I couldn't look at the computer. So, I discussed this with the representative and she modified my prescription and I really liked the glasses.

I ordered 5 pairs of glasses from Zenni. Unfortunately the first order I submitted, I calculated my PD incorrectly (I would recommend having this measured professionally). So I contacted customer service and they had me return them for 100% store credit. I got my correct PD from my doctor and I replaced the order with the credit. I did have to pay for return shipping, but I used the same bag they came in, and it was only like $6 to return. No biggie. My new glasses came today and I am obsessed!!! They are beautiful and I can see so clearly!!! I'm telling EVERYONE about Zenni Optical. By far the cutest, most INEXPENSIVE, glasses I have ever owned! Thanks Zenni!!!

I have been using Zenni about a year. I have three sets of lenses and have been through several frames. One is all metal and the screws break off and can't be replaced, solution new frames. Chunky plastic frames that are thick and look sturdy. The plastic around the lens cracked twice in three months. So because the lenses are nice and cheap and lasting and can't be fit into other frames, I keep buying them again and again. So, the price is great overall, but the constant frame breaks make it too inconvenient to stand.

I desperately needed a second pair of glasses and if Zenni hadn't screwed up royally it would have been a great deal. In about two weeks I had the glasses - the wrong glasses. The order # didn't match. I called and a rep named Steven was rude and argued with me. He had no clue what I was talking about. I described the pair I would get and what I got. He finally said they would send right pair and a mailer to send back wrong order as they don't email return shipping labels. Three weeks later, going on a month now I still call and send emails because I never got the return shipper to send the wrong order back or got my glasses. They tell me "They sent it ASAP" or "Be patient." I said I'm canceling the charge with Visa and reporting them to the BBB.
A woman named Sunny emailed today saying they returned my shipping fee. I said I was told by Steven they were replacing my order at no cost so there should be no shipping fee. I think they hope customers get fed up and just take the loss. This is ridiculous . I hope the person whose tortoiseshell bifocals I got a month ago by mistake had backup glasses. I will never buy from Zenni again. I could deal with the order being wrong if all the customer service people didn't talk down to you like I did something wrong wanting my order correct.

I ordered two pairs of eyeglasses from Zenni Optical online and the process was easy but when they sent it, one pair of the lens was made wrong and I had to send them back. They corrected it but it was a little inconvenient. They were able to take care of it three weeks. Had I just ordered one and then had been wrong, I would've probably been upset. But I ordered two and I already had one that I could use so it turned out okay but if someone had a first experience like that, they probably would be turned off.

Prescription was mildly off, and the frame they sent me was a non-hinge design but they freaking folded it into a flat parcel! In trying to un-bend the frame, the lenses popped out (underwire design) and wouldn't mold back in correctly. Will never go with again. You wouldn't ship a poster by folding it up into a standard envelope, right? Why would you do the same with a medical device? Holy crap.

My ophthalmologist gave me a prescription for two prisms only for a single vision. I didn’t want bifocals because I would have a problem with my eyes so I had a single vision with two prisms. Zenni Optical's price was good so I went to their site but I could only have two prisms in progressive lenses. Therefore, I didn’t get any prisms at all. Then all of the screws came out and the stem of my glasses fell off having had it for only 2 months. I could only return them in a month so customer service sent me a packet of screws which was very nice. Then my friend ordered from them using my address and email, she got her glasses with my prescription on one lens and her prescription on the other lens. So she returned them. But other than my glasses falling apart, Zenni Optical was pretty good.

I’ve ordered from Zenni Optical for the past two years and the website is easy to use. I like the way it stores the past prescription so that I don't have to reload everything in every time. I can also save each prescription under a certain name, which I have one for prescription sunglasses and one for just normal distance glasses. But I wish I could upload my photo to try on the glasses because the models are not really accurate. The latest pair that I got is a little too small for my face.
I've recommended Zenni Optical to a lot of people because to go into a regular place to buy glasses can cost up to $400 just for a basic pair and if you're a parent like me who's constantly rushing around and dropping things, it's a major investment to lose. My last pair of glasses came to a grand total of $53 and they work perfectly. I'm no longer in a panic if I misplace or break my glasses.

The glasses I received had the lenses cut incorrectly for the frames. These were gradient lenses. I sent them back. In a few weeks they were returned to me. I did not use these for a while as I had other glasses made for me that I use daily. When I did start using them again when I needed gradient sunglasses, the right lens pops out of the frames as it does not seat correctly in the frames. I took the glasses to a local optometrist and was told the lenses were cut incorrectly for the frames. I corresponded with Zenni online and was told too bad, it had been over 30 days. I asked if I could pay to have the glasses and lens repaired so I could use them and was told no. I chalk this up to experience and suggest that all beware of this sub-standard company.

My friend told me about Zenni Optical and I like their cost compared to other eyewear companies. This was my second time ordering from them and I did the half-rim this time. Before that, I went with full-rim. They have a wonderful program wherein I can get as many glasses as I want for the same price that I could get one from a normal retailer. I tell all my friends about it because it makes sense, especially since I wear multiple glasses. The best part is it’s affordable. It’s really been a wonderful experience with Zenni Optical. I ordered a pair of progressive lenses from Zenni Optical as well as a pair of glasses for driving, same frame style. After about 8 weeks one arm broke on my progressive. I contacted Zenni and was offered a replacement pair for a 'special price' of $21.95 since the thirty day warranty had passed. I told them that this was not acceptable. I was then offered the same glasses for free as a 'one-time, complimentary' exception to their rule. In the meantime, I switched the arm off the second pair. It, also broke, in the same spot (right behind the hinge). I am now on the third arm for the right side of these glasses and am wondering how long before it, too, breaks. I was especially careful with the second arm but it broke after a month. I believe their manufacturing process produces an inferior product. Additionally, I can only see through the center of the lenses, on either side is blurred... Let the buyer beware.
