The box already came from ViaCord but I'm still trying to work on the paperwork.

The communication of getting the kit to the pickup person was a mess. The hospital staff couldn't hand it over so we had to figure out how to get it down to the pickup person. The pickup person was there but never had contacted us. When we called back to the main phone number, they were confused that we had even talked to anybody and there was all kinds of confusion on what was going on. They told us that they had been there, but they weren't yet. But the lady was there and just was sitting in the emergency room for an hour waiting for us. There was definitely a communication gap between us once we called it in to the pickup person. They said that she had called, but we had no calls on our phones and the nurses knew that we were waiting as well.

We heard storing our baby’s cord blood stem cells might help one of our kids with walking. We decided to use ViaCord and working with the cord blood specialist was perfect. Overall, ViaCord is great. It’s excellent. This is the second time with me. Cord blood banking was something I read about and was also recommended by the OPG doctor.

My husband's in science and we believe that, in the future, there's probably a lot of opportunities, and both of our families have some history of cancer. So, if it's possible, it doesn’t hurt to have some options in the future. And at our OB's office, we got a form which had the ViaCord phone number on it, and our hospital worked with that company in the past. I haven't given birth yet. I'm still pregnant, so we haven't done any of it yet. We just got the kit sent to our home and we'll take it to the hospital.
