Faulty product, hydroxatone skin and eye serum. I purchased a bottle of each of these products. They are not as advertised. Not to mention, the face serum was half or 3/4 empty. I feel I deserve a refund. How to get ahold of the company?

I too purchased this product on a 30 day trial. One week before the 1st payment was due to be withdrawn from my credit card, I telephoned the number supplied and told them that I wanted to return the product as it was not suitable to my skin. Yes I was pushed to buy the product at a discounted price etc but I stood firm. In the end I was told and given an identification number to stick on the return package and send it back within 10 days which I did and I haven't been charged further. I have read some of the negative reviews and find them surprising as my experience did not match those reviews.

I just want to shared my problem with this company. I read all the reviews. Seemed we have same problem. I had sign for trial their product and come just a little tube of cream. This morning I was surprised when I checked my card they charged me 98.88$ 4x without send me another product. Tried to called them to get my refund back but so many reasons. Went to bank to cancel my card so next time they not charged me. Please be aware with this company, that are fraud!!! I will not recommend to my friends.

I too, like so many have been caught in this BS scam. They said I had to mail it by 4/14. They got it on 4/16 and still charged my account $69.95 x 2. Then tell me they are going to bill me another $139 balance that they say I will still owe. So I tell them to send me the product back and I was told that's not how it works. I was told that I'm the scam for not returning it on time. That it's just like if I try to return something at Wal-mart after 30 days, but if I did that I would still have the product, idiot. Got placed back on hold with no warning. Called back and talked with a nice woman who told me I would be refunded my money in 3-5 business days and will not receive any further charges. I will never fall for anything like this again. Beware!!!

$1.99 offer each on 2 face creams, "needed to use both for best results." 2 packages arrived - wrong type of cream - wouldn't use it. Decided to return it. To return would cost $15-20 each. Decided to keep and just cancel any further order but they wanted $141.00 x 2 so I continued to explain I would NOT use the product and decided I WOULD send it back BUT it would be costing me $40 for something I never had!!! Eventually this young lady just CANCELLED the whole bill for me!!! Thank goodness -- I was very lucky to have an understanding service provider. She did very well trying to sell to me on behalf of her employer but understood my problem.

Tried their 30-day trial for face/neck cream. Took week to arrive tied it to heavy. Emailed company to get return information and cancel my account. Never received the information to send product back. Called them because they charged my card 140.00$ without my authorization and was told that only cancelled the automatic shipments not the first shipment and I still owe another $140.00 still. They also lectured me on their fine print and terms and had the nerve to still try to sell me something else while I was disputing their shipment and asking for a refund. That takes BIG NERVES to do that. BIG SCAM. STAY AWAY!!!

I signed up for the $1.99 trial and have kicked myself ever since. I should have been more switched on as I gave my credit card details. I have been receiving unwanted creams etc ever since. Naturally my credit card is being charged. I rang to cancel today and after some tele - nonsense and dancing I finally dodged the future offers and had my account frozen of future charges and, at my expense, I can return the creams and have my account refunded. What a scam. As I was hanging up, they were still trying to sell me MORE CREAM for just $139. I am not very confident that my account will not be charged again.

I have dark circles under my eyes and thought I would give this product a try! What I learned is that this product is not made for people of color! I have been trying and praying for some sort of result with absolutely no change. When I tried to call and cancel they said that I owed $140 to cancel for future products!! I still have products that were never opened and offered to send them back, that was a "no"! Then I was told he will give me a $40 discount and send me free products if I pay $140 today... and I said how is that a discount! I don't care for any more products! I finally got him down to $69.95... just to close the account!
I got ripped off and then he offered me wrinkle cream at the end of the transaction! I just laughed and said "you have got to be kidding me!! Have a good day sir!" I will not recommend this product to any of my friends or family. They were sending me product every other month!! Who can use that much!! And charging me $69.95/month!!!

I got caught by the advertisement for the 30 days free trial for Hydroxatone eye treatment cream. The cream arrived on 6 February and a week later I decided to return it because the only effect I noticed was the irritation of the eye area. I emailed the company advising that I want to return the items and asking for the return code as required. This came via email on 16 February with an instruction that the item must be received by 29 February to avoid my credit card being charged. On the same day I posted the unused items at the cost of $21. I was told by the post office that the delivery will take between 10 and 14 days (I am in Australia) and if I wanted to ensure that the parcel is delivered by the date stipulated by the company it would cost $56+ for Express.
I was not prepared to pay that amount of money but scanned and emailed a copy of the post office receipt to the company with an order that my card not be charged if the parcel arrives later than their date. I threatened to report it as a scam if I am charged. I pointed out that the 30-day free trial is not 30 days at all and the response I received from them was to wait and see. At the end I didn't get charged the full amount but I found their advertising misleading and their treatment of me as a customer totally disgraceful.

The reviews I have read are all true (it is a scam). They count on you to forget to cancel the order after the 30 days so your card can be charged. I received both products in the mail and two days later I called to cancel and was told my 30 day trial was not up yet. And I told them I didn't want the product and to cancel any future orders. They proceeded to tell me that I needed to send back the trial creams so I agreed and it cost me $7. So I put a tracking on it to make sure it was received and I received a email stating it. Whatever you do don't get neither one of these product. The price they want to charge is ridiculous and not worth it.

This comp is tied in with Dream Products of CA. They sent me some face cream in 2 different packets. If I wanted it I would be billed over $150.00 for each one over the next 3 months. I called and complained and I canceled the order, but I had to pay to return it. It cost me $7.50 to ship it back, and I made sure I shipped it with a return signature so they could not say they never got it. This company is doing business with SEM Budget Savers. They all a bunch of scammers so stay away from them.

Everything that I have experienced with hydroxatone and bellaplex others have experienced as well. I too signed up for a "risk free" trial and occurred 2 charges to my bank account causing me to overdraft and my overdraft fee is $35.00 and my bank does not cover. Needless to say they actually did refund me for $29.95 but not the overdraft fee. Now last night and see where 69.95 was billed to my account!!! What? That's another overdraft fee. This was my first and last time ever giving my credit card information to any "risk-free" trial. It is a bunch of bull. I am in the same boat as everyone else here. A website that I use all the time, can't recall the site, had a screen come up and say I was a valued customer and would like to offer me some items. They are advertised as a sample with $1.99 postage. Of course 4 items arrived in the post last Friday and it said I will be charged $69.95 per month with automatic reordering of the product, not bad for what was supposed to be a sample. I rang them straight away and spoke to someone who had a very strong accent. I certainly told them what I thought of their dodgy methods and if they have to resort to selling their products by deception it must be garbage. Told them I am not paying and they can have it back but all this dimwit could say is they will extend my trial period so I could try them.
Tomorrow I will be contacting them again and asking for the method of returning the products then contacting the bank to see if they can stop them from taking any money out, maybe they will cancel my card and issue another one. If I can find out the site I was on when this offer popped up I will also tear them a new one as well.

This is a scam (Bellaplex). Cancel your cards immediately. I ordered a 30 day trial, paid $1.99 S&H and after two weeks of use I developed a rash. I promptly returned the 2 items (anti-wrinkle cream) which arrived and were accepted by the company (Hydroxatone). Within a few days a charge of $69.95 appeared on my card before the trial period elapsed. I made several calls to acquire a refund and two of their staff said the charge will be refunded promptly and apologized for any inconvenience. Still no refund. Now at seven weeks later their files show no such charge. Hydroxatone must have monkied with the books. This is now in my bank's hands and debit card cancelled. Sam's Club has GENES CREAM. Very rea$onable and it works in the reduction of wrinkles, skin lesions and more.

I signed up for a "free sample" of this product and it's associated product, Bellaplex. The items arrived and I thought no more about it. I was charged a nominal amount which showed up on my credit card statement. Two months later another package arrived; this time I read the invoice more closely and saw that they had charged me $146.85, and in fine print, it indicated they would be charging me $69.95 every three months, along with a small shipping charge of 6.95, plus any applicable customs fees/taxes, and conversion charges to $Aus dollars. I found the "free sample" somewhere whilst surfing the net, and foolishly signed up, never realising I had joined their "Beauty Auto Ship Program".
Do not deal with this company, they are misleading and duplicitous. I immediately cancelled my credit card. The company says they will refund me, after I told them it was a scam and would report them. The bank will dispute the charges. Now I'll have to contact all my automatic debit utilities, etc. Waste of my time. If you've had a similar experience, kindly let others know.

The product itself is wonderful but the company is run very poorly. I signed up after using the product to be on auto shipments and it worked very well for a couple years then not so much. For some reason and not by my doing, they took my off auto shipments and have had trouble ever since. I have been charged every month since November and finally had to close my bank account because the representatives cannot figure things out. I gave the same person two chances to "fix" this and never did. He blamed other reps and assured me each time we spoke that this situation was rectified, which it was not. Very unhappy with the so called customer service and was treated horribly by them. Will never use them again or recommend.

I rang the company after seeing a TV ad for 'miracle' wrinkle cream. In my 70's I figured I could do with all the help I could get so decided to accept the free trial - full cost $1.99 freight. However, I found it very difficult to understand the heavily accented woman to whom I spoke. I caught a few words such as "$69.95 in three months" but her English was very heavily accented so everything else was too garbled to understand. Assuming, correctly as it turned out, that this was not really a free trial but if I didn't cancel I would be billed, I told the woman that I would not proceed with the order. I asked her to send me an email setting out all the details of the offer so that I could then make a decision whether to ring again and order.
I never received the promised email, nor did I receive any product however at the end of the month the company billed me $1.99. I disputed this with the bank but was advised to cancel my card. As I have several direct debits on this account I didn't want to go through all the trouble of advising everyone so I let the small amount slip through. Three months later, however, I have now received my statement showing that they have actually deducted $102.40. I have reported this as a fraudulent transaction and my card has been canceled. I am hoping the bank will refund the money deducted. This company is, in my opinion, fraudulent and their actions are no less than theft by deception. There was no order number as I didn't actually order anything. Perhaps the person at the call centre (I am assuming it was a call centre operator to whom I spoke) didn't want to miss out on her commission!

The link took me through to a checkout page where I discovered, to my horror that this was only part of the shipment and the company was going to send other products as well, products I didn't want. I didn't complete the form and left the site.
Later that day on checking my email, I discover that I am being sent, and billed for several skin products and not only that, they will arrive unsolicited at a cost of $80 per month. I emailed the company twice explaining that I was a pensioner, didn't want and couldn't afford. Finally I received an email saying that they had found my account and cancelled the order.
Within 2 days a parcel arrived containing several products and an invoice. I am now trying to find a return address in order to return the product unopened. This company is a fraud. I too was subject of rip off by this company. I stupidly accepted a "trial" for $1! Next thing I was sent two sets of an am/pm cream, packets of sachets and BB cream (in two colours) - not what I expected.. But then I was charged for all. About 4 weeks later I received yet another two sets of the above products - how on earth they think one would use that much product in four weeks is beyond me? I returned the second set as "not ordered" - fortunately they were not able to charge me for the second set as I'd quickly cancelled that credit card. To further rub salt in the wound, I actually got a phone call (to Australia!) from the company demanding money. I told them I'd paid for the first lot, returned the second lot (for which I actually did get an acknowledgement email), did not owe anything and hung up. That was the end of it.
The really sad part of this sorry saga is that I really like the Anti-Aging BB Cream and would love to buy more of it but no way I will deal direct with this company again. Strawberry stocks only limited items of Hydroxatone but alas, not the BB Cream. If anyone knows a reputable store where this can be purchased, I'd love to know. I just found the below clause in Hydroxatone's website Terms and Conditions. I may have misunderstood completely but to me this sounds like the company saying "If we want, we can charge you any amount we like at any time and call it an INCREASE IN OUR CURRENT RATES". They also say they must notify you of these 'changes' 10 days prior to transaction date. Reading your complaints, I will assume the company did no such thing. Unsure if this will be of any assistance to anyone who's been robbed by these clowns but, according to their own terms, failing to notify customers prior to withdrawing these (unlawful) random amounts looks like a breach of these terms.
"Change in amount authorized. If the amount to be charged to your Billing Account varies from the current rate set forth in your initial offer due to an increase in our current rates (other than due to the imposition or change in the amount of state sales taxes), Hydroxatone shall provide notice of the amount to be charged and the date of the charge at least 10 days before the scheduled date of the transaction. Any agreement you have with your Payment Method Provider will govern your use of your Payment Method. You agree that Hydroxatone may accumulate charges incurred and submit them as one or more aggregate charges during or at the end of each billing cycle."

That coverage is usually standard on both. I know because I had a problem with a leather jacket and dry cleaning company, ripped the coat, never cleaned it and charged me twice. My CC Company got all my money back, fought for me. I had a problem one time with my bank, they did the same. You should not have to pay for that service. It comes standard with your CC's. We received a "free sample" offer via a third party website advising shipping & processing cost of $1.99 USD which we authorized via our credit card. There was no information provided on actual cost of the product or of any terms at the time. We did not receive any "free samples" but instead some product and a statement advising of a 30-day risk free trial after which we would be billed in two equal installments of $69.95 USD. The statement advised of terms stating that our credit card would be charged for the product after the trial period contrary to what we understood would be "free samples" only. The terms also state that we authorize the payments and our credit card will be automatically charged but this was never advised at the time of accepting the "free sample" offer. The terms also state that we can contact customer service if we are not completely delighted to avoid further payments.
They note that this is a Try-it-Before-You-Buy-it program for first-time customers but they are forcing sales through sending product and automatically charging costs without authorization. We advised we did not want the product and requested our free samples. They advised we could return the product at our cost within 2-weeks to avoid charges on our credit card. Interesting that they also requested return of a "100% free gift" that came in the package. We advise they are not authorized to charge our credit card and that they sent product of their own accord without our agreement and should retrieve their product at their cost. They continue to send standard terms off their website with process for returns but we do not want to pay since we were never made aware of these terms at the time of accepting the "free sample" offer via another website.
We have not been able to find the link to this other website for supporting our case but find many others who have had this same experience who have had a significant amount of money taken from their accounts. We add a similar image to that which we linked to the offer and it clearly states "free skin care samples" and nothing about a 30-day risk free trial or any terms. We have been given until 23/10/15 to return the product at our cost or charges will occur. It would seem we are forced to close our account to stop any unauthorized charging because they ignore our real concerns and send generic replies every time that is not helping to resolve the matter. This offer and program is a total scam and we believe breaches consumer rights. We are very unhappy and would not recommend any other person dealing with this company.

I sent the product the best way I could by using the mailing address and I paid the postage. However, I did not have a return number but used my account information for the credit.
After time, I got another shipment, even though I had told them in writing to stop and cancel my account. I called and got the same message that they would call me before day end and I still had not heard from them in 4 days. So my credit card company got a girl on the phone who says she doesn't have any way to know if they received my return package. That is a lie.

You have really a very bad customer's agent. Put me in hold for long time and then terminate my call just because I am asking for why you pull money from my account after I closed my account with you because your product doesn't work for me. Then I call again, talk to different agent. She badly talked to me. Your agent forget I am a customer and I have right to understand what going on, not just do what they think. They said I received 4 bottle of Hydroxatone, and they are positive about that, while actually I received 3 and they pull the money from my account. They did not listen to what I have said and yawn on me. My question why I need to keep your product if it doesn't work for me.
Second you sent me the second shipment without my knowledge because you send it to me at the same day that I cancelled your account and your agent doesn't mention that to me when I made my cancellation. Then I surprised that you pull money from my account. This the first time. Then I called you back and you explain that because you already shipped the product and I need to send it back to you. And after I send back to you, you made a refund but the following month you pull money from my account again and that why I gave you a call and your agent badly talk to me.
I really didn't accept the way that your agent talk to me the (girl). And I didn't like how the other one (man) put me in hold and terminate the call just because he doesn't want to talk to me. If he doesn't want to do his job, at least he can transfer me to the other one. I am talking about my money that you pulled from my account. Because of your fault and I want you know, I will sent back the bottle from the first one because I don't need it and that mean I paid 69 for something that doesn't work for me just because I tried it. And please do not pull any money from my account or send me any package.

As the same to a lot of you I signed to the free trial of the product and wasn't happy. After numerically try to contact the company to stop the orders from being sent they still came. I was told the order would be 69.95 Australian dollars to see when they debited my credit card I was hit with a 94.05 charge. I contact the bank and they told me to contact the company. About a week later they hit my card again for a charge of just under 11.00 so I thought how do I stop this. Contact my bank. The Commonwealth Bank of Australia. They said to cancel my card.
We stopped the card and was told they would send another. I then got another card but they are still hitting my old canceled card that is no longer meet to be attached to my accounts and to my total shock the bank is allowing my account to be hit by them again. On Father's Day I was hit with 101.30 and only today have lost another 101.30 from my account. I called the bank and was told that this company has found a loophole around a canceled card...
I said I'm a single parent and can't keep having my account debited. I'm truly not happy with this response. There has to be a way to stop this company. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM. Their products doesn't work and looks like my face has gotten skin blemishes. Once they have your details there is no stopping them short of closing all accounts which is my next step. BELLAPLEX SKIN SPECIALIST - SCAM COMPANY. Do not order from this company! All I was to get was a free offer with postage cost of $1.99. I am still trying to cancel my order, they keep taking money from my account so far $400 AUS without my approval. I cancelled order as soon as I got it and rang when I saw first payment taken. I told them "do no want this product and I wanted to have confirmed I did not want any more money taken from my account:. Yet in the next two days I had another $300 taken. I told the woman I am allergic to the Bellaplex product and did want it and I had not even open other products sent. They get you in with free samples for $1.99 cost and that is what I was expecting - a test actual not the actual product. I would have ordered more if had liked it but their methods are fraudulent and deceptive means of getting credit card details.
When I rang I asked why I had been charged for a free sample as had never ordered anything from them. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS they just keep taking your money. l have rang them twice now, why I keep getting charged for good. I Did not want that product and wanted an address to return unopened goods but they did not want them. I asked what do I do with goods, I was told "keep them, give them to friend or throw in the bin". They just palm you off and then phone goes dead. BEWARE. My mother had sent for the 'free trial' Hydroxatone and did not like it at all so she sent it back. She received a bill for over $270 for several jars of this product. I called the company and they stated she had not sent back the product so they billed her. I had no way of proving she returned the product so I paid the bill on 7/24/2015 and cancelled the product and the account. I did request and received cancellation numbers. On 8/3/2015 she received another two bottles of this product.
I contacted the company requesting a pre-paid return label but all I got was another sales pitch, over and over! I was so angry. They absolutely would not accept that I had already cancelled this account, even though they could see it on their computer. They just keep saying that my mom could keep the product and they would bill her at half price. I ask to speak to a supervisor but the 'salesman' would not let me. I should have written this 18 months ago, it may have saved some of you from your troubles, so sorry! I also signed up for the "Free Trial", and acknowledged that by asking for a credit card they were likely to automatically enroll me in an ongoing supply. Received the product (agree: it is misrepresented - strongly perfumed, greasy and ineffective). Decided to cancel. Checked the website and used the "Australian" contact number - this was never answered, but the pre-recorded hold information urged me to use email to make changes to my account. The email address given for Bellaplex worked and I received a reply to say that my account was closed. I never received further Bellaplex. Kudos.
However, the Luminique phone number was also NEVER answered and again the pre-recorded hold message urged me to use their email address of "support@luminique.com" to make changes to my account. This email bounced repeatedly, and further digging led me to hydroxatone.com and eventually I received a reply from "support@hydroxatone.com" (an automated one) saying that I would receive a phone call or email reply regarding my query within 24-72 hours. I then received an email saying that my query had been dealt with and the account closed. I had been very specific in the email, providing account and reference numbers.
The next month I noticed I had again been charged. I replied to the email, again very specific with dates etc, forwarding the emails with the cancellation confirmation in it. Again received an email saying that my query had been dealt with and the account was closed. The following month the same thing happened. The whole process was gone through again, plus calling a few times. Eventually I got to speak to someone, to whom I forwarded the entire email chain and was given a full refund and graciously allowed to keep the product (the ineffective, strongly perfumed product that I just didn't want at all). This whole process took 6 MONTHS to resolve. I was told that I couldn't cancel my account via email - I pointed out that their recorded message shouldn't therefore encourage use of email for "all account changes" then.
The biggest lesson was to trust my doctor and dermatologist friend and my own research - applying "stem cells" and collagen to the surface of the skin is **. These molecules can't penetrate the skin, the stem cells need to be stored under extremely exacting conditions (in a laboratory, not in a cream in your bathroom), and all those before and after photos are from procedures like laser (stimulates collagen production, use of retinoids (prescription strength), injectable fillers and botox. Stay out of the sun, moisturise with Cetaphil or other humectant based moisturiser and RELAX. If you want serious anti-aging goodness head to a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Save your money and your sanity.

When I called, they said only the trial period is free, then you have to pay. I returned what I had, but they were going to charge me another $69.95 (They sell 6 containers for $300, so why am I paying $140?) so I reported my card stolen. What else could I do? Tried TV "free trial offer." After 25 days, I called and said "it's not working and I'd like to return the product and stop payment." I was told by the person on the phone to try 60 days, and if not happy, then I could get a refund. That was a blatant lie, because I called back after 60 days, still displeased, and my card had been charged two charges of $69.95 each month, and an additional $7.95 in shipping for a package that was light as a feather. I offered to send all their unopened product back to get a refund, and they refused. When you are paying $70 a container, for an allegedly nice facial cream and you're returning unopened, you should be able to get a refund. This free offer for 30 days is a scam first off, because they say it actually takes 60 days to see a difference, so shouldn't the trial period be the period it takes to achieve results?
As for this remarkable difference? I'm 49 years old and have taken very good care of my skin, but purchased the under-eye cream because I am beginning to get the darker circles under my eyes. I got better results with el-cheapo Oil of Olay drugstore products than I saw with this overpriced crap. The cream is greasy, heavy and did absolutely nothing for me. It's also supposed to be fragrance-free I think, but the smell of it bothered me at night. My husband even asked me a couple times what I had on my face; he'd also noticed the odd odor.
What really irritated me is the tone of the IDIOT on the phone. I was annoyed by the fact that I could not send back unopened product for a refund, but I wasn't yelling or being rude, just firmly expressed my displeasure. I said to him, "I have bought many creams, and when it's allegedly a higher end cream, (and I think when one is paying $140, that is in the higher end range) not only do the nicer cosmetic companies permit you to return unopened cream, but they also, if you are displeased, let you return opened packages for an exchange." He actually started arguing with me and said, "no, at Wal-Mart, there's a 30 day return policy about which they are very strict." Well perhaps so, but Wal-Mart doesn't sell $140 face creams that I am aware of. If I'd paid 20 bucks for a cheap cream, I'd have just tossed it, but I don't know about anyone else, but for $140, I expect higher end service and for the cream to actually WORK.
I got neither, and from the looks of all the other reviews, neither will you. If you do try the cream though and love it, also know that he offered to lower my monthly outlay to under $30 a month, which actually just further enraged me. Yeah, you're able to do that because of all the idiots like me, you fall for your trap, whom you GOUGE for $140. This business should be shut down for fraud. I'm furious!

She claimed that it was a 30-day free trial where you then pay for the product at the end of the 30 days. Doesn't sound like a free trial to me. I insisted that their internet page said it was a free trial for $1.99 postage. I eventually said that I didn't want the product and wanted to return it. She then tried to sell it to me at a discounted rate. I said no - even to $20 - because I felt deceived. A day later I started receiving unknown phone calls (always missed them) & every time I tried to return the call, the number was disconnected or an invalid number. 4th day, I actually answered the call and it was from Bellaplex in regards to my order. There was a young lady on the phone, obviously reading from a script as she didn't breathe and I couldn't get a word in edgeways! I listened. Man at company was extremely evasive, talked in circles, would not answer my questions. After an hour I ended up hanging up, and rang my bank. After 3 phone calls to my bank, they finally agreed to close my credit card account and issue me with new one. Thank God! But even that took 3 phone calls.
Why is it I am not in control of who takes money out of my bank? The bank are supposed to be working for me, not other companies. Anyway, today I get an email from this company saying "Keep the product... no charge." Let's hope so.
9/26/2015 - My experience is already explained in an earlier post. I just cant believe these people are still allowed to operate. They claim that they never say "free samples," only free trials. That is a complete lie, and I have taken screenshots of where the ad specifically says "Free Sample!" The people that answer the phones are disrespectful and I have heard them in the background, laughing about the latest victim (true!) like its a big joke to steal someone's savings. Then, the next tactic they use is "nothing is for free... you must be a greedy person if you think that this product is free."
So they in effect blame the consumer for being "greedy." Never mind they are actually stealing off the consumer and using false pretenses and advertising to accomplish this. I don't know how these people sleep at night, but then the Nigerian scammers do sleep the sleep of the blameless I'm told. Initially, I filled out the 30 day free trial, but changed my mind and logged off. A phone call salesperson asked me why I had not submitted the info. I just changed my mind, no other reason. She offered to double the offer for the same price of $1.99 and the same offer for the Bellaplex. I understood it to be "A FREE 30 day TRIAL". WRONG! NOT FREE. It is free until the 30 days is up and then you pay. I called to cancel my order, thinking I had received my FREE Trial products when she told me of my upcoming bill. "I will send it back in that case."
Eventually, after 20 minutes of more "introductory offers (for a small fee)" and my continual insistence that I will send it all back rather than pay the $276 they planned to charge my credit card. You send it back to Pennsylvania, USA. I live in New Zealand. Nonetheless, I insist on returning it. Eventually she deleted all the charges, less the $1.99 X 2. I was sure to make it very clear that I will not be billed, to which she affirmed. NOTE: The active ingredients are All SUNSCREEN! Everything else in the product is emollient, spreading agents, preservatives etc. So, if you want to pay $69 for 1oz of SPF15, this is your product! NO THANKS! Tricky wording in the sales pitch. Unethical. Deceptive.

In October 2013, I answered what I thought was an online questionnaire for the Canada Council for the Arts. I was to receive a free jar of Hydroxatone for my trouble. All I was to pay was $2 for the postage. When the package arrived at the local post office, I had to pay an extra $30.64 customs duty and taxes. As I had no use for the Hydroxatone, I never opened the package. A few weeks later I received notice from the post office that there was another parcel for me to pick up. I ignored it and after 30 days it was returned to the company. Next month the same thing happened and after 30 days it was sent back as well. This happened three times. In January I noticed that I had been billed $88.78 CA on my visa for Hydroxatone. I looked back at previous months and found this had happened on two other occasions without my noticing. A total of $262.89.
I called Visa and they were aware of the problem with this company and gave me a number to call them. I talked with ** (extension **). She explained that there was no free samples, only free trials, that had to be cancelled within 30 days for a refund, and that this was stated inside the first package I had been sent. I explained that I had never opened the package and had been mislead when I filled in the original questionnaire. I told her I wanted this to end and she gave me a cancellation number **. She said that as I had not cancelled within 30 days I would only be eligible for one refund. My Feb. Visa statement shows a credit for $84.51 CA (ACM*HYDROXATONE.COM **, NJ -69.95 USD @ 1.208148) but I am still out of pocket $178.28.
This is a fraudulent company. I have not been credited for the product that was returned to them, so they have their product and my money. I feel like an idiot, for being duped. The call was answered by a female with a very strong American accent, so strong that it was difficult to understand most of what she was saying resulting in her virtually spelling out the instructions. It transpired that the returned items have to be posted to Mechanicsburg in Pennsylvania USA which is where the female is based - expensive phone call, not to mention expensive returns postage - we are in the UK.
Included in the paperwork was a phone number purported to be in Edinburgh which I then phoned and was answered by a male with a strong American accent. When I asked him if he was in Edinburgh, he answered that he was on the east coast of America . The "Edinburgh" phone number was the scammy 0203 number. They sent me two bottles of bellaplex, two tubs of hydroxatone, instant effect wrinkle reducer, and toner. I had only ordered the trial bellaplex and hydroxatone. Only used the bellaplex twice. It made me break out in pimples and the design of the bottle doesn't allow you to pump out anymore cream. None of the stuff works and it's only 15spf. I only had it for two weeks. Called today to cancel, and I'm left shaking! I can't believe this company is allowed to do this! The guy didn't even want to know why I wanted to cancel. All he was trying to get out of me was money! He kept on insisting that I was past my 30 day period, and had to pay $139.99 and that because I was in nz I couldn't return it. That was not stated when I ordered it.
Told him on my statement it says my trial period ends on 02/20/2015. Today is 02/13/2015. He kept telling me it's going to cost me $69.95 to send it back so he's going to give me a reduced rate of $69.95 to keep the products (that I don't want). I argued with him and demand of speak to a supervisor or manager, which he said he was and then hung up on me. So I called back and got the same thing from some lady. I called up the contact number and the representative on the other line agreed to cancel my membership. Although having done that, I was still owing about $300 or so unless I return the products back to the States to avoid future charges. I was quite annoyed with this because 2 weeks ago when I ordered these products over the phone, the lady selling them said I did not need to do any of this. The representative put me on hold and came back saying, seeing as it is Valentine's Day tomorrow, she will drop my account to zero dollars and I need not to return anything back because of the hefty shipping fee.
I am really happy with this, as I've read numerous complaints about this company that the products do not work and that it is just a scam. Please be aware that you must cancel your membership within the 30-day trial period to avoid future charges, but you must also send/return the products back to the company in order to avoid paying for anything else. Back in March I thought I would order your risk free trial however before I click confirm at the end I saw how much the product was going to cost and I cancelled out of the page. However because I had already put my card details in I got charged and sent the package. Once it arrived at my local post office I returned it straight away without opening it. I sent an email on the 8th of April saying that I had returned this item and please do not charge my card as I cannot afford this kind of money! The card details I gave expired at the end of April anyway so I assumed that it would be fine and I wouldn't get charged. However the parcel showed up again at my local post office TWICE and I resent it back without opening it again. I then received a phone call from someone on the 2nd June which I also told that I was not interested and I had sent it back. They rudely hung up on me after babbling something I could not understand.
I have now been charged $76.70 from your company. I am extremely upset about this as they have cleaned out my account and it is now extremely overdrawn, which I now have to make up out of my small pay that comes in. I have also now seen that on the 13 May they have taken $8.75, which I am assuming is for RE- sending a parcel I did not want in the first place?? How are you still taking money from my account when the card is expired?
I have tried every avenue to contact Hydroxatone on their non-existent 'support' email address, on their phone numbers that do not connect and also a site that says to leave a complaint which won't let you post your comment unless it's up to their standard of 'English grammar'. This is the original email I have been trying to send them however have taken all the 'you's' out of the text to make it more suitable for this site.
All I want is my money back. I have cancelled my card now which is just a major hassle as I now have to change any direct debits that are connected to the card etc but at least I know they can't take any more money from me.

The customer service person was very pushy and wanted to sell me the stuff at a lesser price which I did not want. I had to get sort of mean and raise my voice to make her understand I did not want anything only to return all the stuff. After about 10 minutes she finally gave me a return number and wanted to send me a return label at $7.00+ amount. There, in the very small print, is the agreement where you agree that if you don't return the product within the 30 days or want to keep it, you agree to them charging $60 some on TWO PAYMENTS, for a total of $120 some all together!!!!!?
When I read that, it was NO WAY. So I went back and deleted all my contact info. Thank God I had not entered my credit card info yet. I thought that was the end of it until I get a phone call today telling me I needed to give them my credit card number because of the product I was getting. Though I called to return the product the day before my trial ran out I was treated very poorly and informed there are no managers to talk to. After over an hour I was finally able to obtain the information to return the product and I am sending the following letter to the company if anyone is interested in reading it. After reading a couple of other statements, I guess I also need to see if they already took money from my account. Please also note that your 30 day guarantee says that it is 30 days of receipt not 30 days from shipment as James so vehemently insisted!
I rarely ever complain about customer service, but feel this is worth bringing to your attention. I recently decided to try your product, but unfortunately I did not see any results. When I called to return the product on 02/04/14 (the day before my free trial ran out), my experience was anything but hassle free as advertised. In fact, I had a horrible experience with your staff. First I waited on hold for half an hour to be able to talk to anyone. Then your sales associate James answered the phone. He seemed to have a hard time finding my information; as he had to ask me the same questions three or more times. When he did find my information, he said, "I see you ordered this on 12/29/13 and that was two months ago, so your thirty day trial has ran out and you will be charged the full $139.00." I requested to speak to a manager and he said there are no managers available.
I informed him that if I was charged, I would sue and turn it in to the Better Business Bureau, because it had not been two months since I had ordered, and that the contract states my free trial runs out tomorrow 02/05/2014. He said I am looking at the exact same document and all of the promotions say a 30 day trial not a two month trial. I then informed him that 12/29/2013 to 02/04/2014 is not two months, but around a month and a week. He said, "well the trial is still 30 days not a month and a week." I then said, "I also assumed there would be shipping time," James then cut me off with, "Well that's what you get for assuming!" I then said in a very stern tone, "I assumed, since it is on your contract that my due date is 02/05/14 that your company would honor that!" James replied with "I have that same document and it shows you ordered it on 12/29/14."
I then directed him to where the contract states that my trial period ends 02/05/14 and read it to him. He then said, "So I guess you are not going to pay the $139.00 today!" I admittedly was very upset by this time and loudly said, "No I am not paying for this crap" and requested that he read the statement to me. He said, "Well I was thinking about refunding you but since you are so rude I am going to disconnect you." I again requested to speak to a manager and he said there are no managers. I said, "You don't have managers?" He said, "Well they are not here right now and I am going to disconnect you." I requested again that he read the statement on Hydroxatone's contract and he hung up on me.
At this time I called back and waited approximately 20 minutes to speak with Verna who provided the extension of 155. Verna was very professional and courteous. She asked if she could know the reason why I wanted to return it and I informed her that I had not seen any better results with your product than I had regular lotion. She said, "Well maybe you just need some more time." I informed her that because of the treatment from James, I want nothing more to do with this company. Verna then supplied me with the information to return the product. I thanked her for her courtesy and requested a manager so that I could inform them about James. I was then told by Verna that there were no managers available and that she would escalate this situation. I told her I would really like to speak to a manager and could one call me back. She said no, but that she would definitely escalate the situation.
I thanked Verna again and told her since she had been so courteous and professional that I would let her handle the situation. I then told her, "I hope you really do escalate this situation because the treatment I received from James reflects very badly on your company." I am very aware that customer service is a high stress job, but do not believe that I deserved James' treatment. I highly doubt that you will do anything in regards to this complaint as you have a very low rating with Consumer Affairs; however, know you have lost me and anyone I know as a customer! If you do not want to lose further customers and their acquaintances I recommend that you make sure a manager is always present, and that you give James some training on how to handle customers in a courteous and hassle free manner as you advertise.

I was browsing the internet looking at a reputable site when an offer appeared. There I came across what appeared to be genuine reviews for Hydroxatone. Normally skeptical of online selling and I thought I had read the "fine print", I was taken in by the fact that the reputable airline site seemed to have this product on offer. Then there were the positive reviews and the fact that there was a risk free FREE TRIAL. The only cost involved was postage, which seemed fair, but of course I had to give my credit card details.
Once the transaction had gone through, it was only then that it informed me that it taken USD$139 which somehow was converted to AUD$160 as well as the postage from my credit card at an exchange rate, it was not the exchange rate I had seen. I have tried to contact said company but have had difficulty getting through to anyone. The no strings attached promotion as advertised is a complete misrepresentation as the company is going to deduct more money from my credit card on a two monthly basis, unless the products are returned within 30 days. That is exactly what I will be doing!

I was browsing the internet and came across what appeared to be genuine reviews for Hydroxatone and an aligned product called Luminique. Normally skeptical of these anti-aging products, I was absolutely taken in by the positive reviews and the fact that there was a risk free FREE TRIAL of both these products. The only cost involved was postage, which seemed fair, but of course I had to give my credit card details. I have just received both the products, and to my dismay see that far from being a free, no strings attached promotion as advertised, the company is going to deduct $69.00 US from my credit card for each item and continue to do so on a two monthly basis, unless the products are returned within 30 days.
I have called the number provided for information regarding returns, but surprise, surprise, no answer. Not even an answer service. I plan to cancel my credit card immediately and hope that I am in time to prevent any charges being deducted, but having read some of the other reviews, have some misgivings about this. I just feel a fool for not researching this further.

Do NOT buy this product. When you click to accept a 'free' sample that supposedly costs about $2, you are, without knowing it, agreeing to a whole of bunch of things, including becoming a member of their beauty program! All the info is in small print at the bottom of an invoice they send you... they rely on the fact that most people are busy and don't read it. I didn't read it, and before I knew it, my credit card was being charged $80 for product I did not order. Apparently when you accept the free sample, you then have to pay for product the next month unless you call up and cancel. I tried to send the product back, but apparently there is no office in Sydney. Sending it back would mean I would have to pay international postage to send it back to the US. This behavior is unethical.

I was browsing through internet for healthy hair and face acne. In one of the articles I had chanced upon to read the mom outsmart wrinkles and the website is healthandbeautysolutions.com/au and was impressed with the outcome results of the people who used the anti wrinkle cream and thought as they are offering free trial with shipping cost $1.99 let me try. When I had entered my contact details and ready to pay I haven't seen the option 'PayPal' and I stopped and asked my husband advice and called the Australian toll number and it says the number is disconnected. That's it, I thought there is something fishy and stopped it.
The next day I had received call from a lady stating that she was a product specialist and asked me why I haven't finished the transaction? I had told the lady what I exactly felt and she said "This is a limited time offer and going to finish soon. Give me your credit card visa or MasterCard number so that I can process your order with shipping order $1.99 only."
I had told her "I am unable to find my credit card" and can I pay by debit card or bank transfer then she refused. And then I asked her "Can you give your number? I can call you and give the details." She said "No I can wait. You can search the card or get the number from the BANK STATEMENT." I said to her "It's my husband's card and I don't have access to it and he is at work." She said "Ok I will call later," and she hung the call. So I am lucky I had escaped the trap and my ADVICE is always call the number or do research about the product and company before giving credit card details and can escape the trap, health and financial loss.

Paid $69.95 because the item had to be returned within 30 days which means no cheap postage! What a rip off. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Advertisement said 30 day risk free trial so, silly me - that's what I thought it was. A few weeks later, I called to cancel any further order and was told they were going to put $169 on my credit card. P.S. The directions say to use a tiny amount on your skin and then there will be a visible reduction of fine lines and wrinkles in 90 seconds. There was no visible reduction on me and sometimes my skin was flaky. When it flaked, I was told to use a smaller amount and that didn't make any noticeable change.

I ordered a 'free' trial of Luminique online for $1.99 & then received a phone call from Hydroxatone saying the products needed to be used together & I could trial it for $1.99 too. The Hydroxatone AM/PM + Toner arrived nearly a week before the Luminique & is a good moisturizer, but nothing startling! Then the Luminique arrived + toner, with instructions to use it am & pm!!
On reading ingredients they both appear identical, the packaging is a different shape & color but everything written on them is the same!! No instructions for using them together are available, even by phoning the company. Their customer support could not tell me how they were different. I cancelled my 'subscription' and advised them not to debit my Amex card. So far, so good, but I am watching & have advised Amex not to accept charges; mainly as I object to their misleading marketing. Also, you certainly don't need a whole jar of either every 30 days, let alone one of each!! I rang them back today 17/1/2014 to find out which NJ address to return the products to & was advised that as I lived in Australia, I could keep them & would not be charged.

I placed an order to trial a face cream with Hydroxatone at no cost and $4.00 postage and the website stated I had 14 days to trial and cancel the order if I did not like the cream. I placed the order on 27th December 2013. Before I even received the cream a charge was put on my credit card of $96 from this company. When I queried the charge I was told I didn't cancel within 14 days and I agreed to pay the full price of the cream by accepting the terms and conditions. The $96 was charged to my credit card on 6th January 2014, 10 days after the order. I still had 4 days to cancel but I didn't receive the cream until the 7th January.
They refuse to reimburse me with the $96 they charged and I have made 2 phone calls and 5 emails stating I am cancelling any orders, subscriptions and/or dealings with the company as the cream burnt my skin and left my face with 2 dark marks from the burns. This was done on the 8th January which was within the 14 days and now they have sent further packages to my address which I did not order. I have had to send this package back to them "return to sender" as I am not paying any further money to return a package I didn't order and again another email stating I have cancelled all dealings with this company.
They have ripped me off taking money from my credit card that I didn't authorize and still sending me products. I am not paying for anything else they have been informed. I will cancel my credit card and seek legal advice if they charge me with anything else and from now on any packages from them will go in the bin. I will not even bother wasting my time returning the package. I have not asked or agreed to take anything else from them.

I want to say thank you for this forum and to everyone that posted on here. I was actually looking for their website to order the product. Thank you so much for informing people that this is a scam. So much for a free brush and sample of Hydroxatone. I will not be placing an order. $69.95 a month is outrageous!! I'm better off sticking to using the store Ulta or any other beauty chain, where you are able to return products and speak to customer service. I can't believe that the company information is not easily available or helpful. Outrages me that another company doesn't back the product guarantee and refund money to unsatisfied customers. Unfortunately I had the same issues with other companies including bareMinerals and Wen. Again thank you to everyone that posted!!!

Like many others, I have be duped by this company. I received the goods on January 2nd 2014 and on discovering that I would be billed for products that I was led to believe were FREE TRIALS and would only be charged for postage. On further investigation, I found similar complaints and difficulties in contacting the company. Fortunately, another consumer supplied (on this site) the Australian contact details. This morning, 3 January 2013, I have contacted said company and voiced my dissatisfaction with this false advertising and asked for an address within Australia that I may return the goods. I advised the operator that I am a single parent who has recently become unemployed and I simply could not afford, would not pay for these products and was only too willing to go to Department of Fair Trading. The operator kindly cancelled my details and told me to keep the products. I too, will be keeping a close eye on my account.
Other than the fact that this product was supposed to be a free trial, I noted that they used Dr Oz as a credible promoter of this product. I will be contacting his people to confirm this as I am certain he would not like to be affiliated with such a scam. In future, I will be investigating anything I purchase online for loopholes. Thanks to all those who have posted on this page. You have save me and others a great deal of heartache and bother.

Did the "$1" trial... ($1 trial my ***).. Log onto my bank account and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! You have a $70.00 charge from Hydoxatone! I called within my so called 30 day period to cancel this crap because I was only doing it for a marketing thing and didn't want it. I called in to state my issues and the customer service provided is horrible. "Ma'am I understand"...Uh lady..no YOU DON'T! You're not the one with -$70 in your bank account now are you. After ten minutes of me arguing with her that I don't want a gift set for 50% off and all this bull she finally said I could return the crap if I hadn't opened it. I don't have the boxes for the stuff so hopefully this works or it's about to go down. In this economy no one can afford -$70 for some wrinkle cream. Mine as well spend it on makeup to cover them up and let nature take its place. It frustrates me so much because I canceled the crap because I knew this would happen and it still happens.. So I'm out a few bucks for shipping but they better refund me since I'm returning it.

Like others on this site, I clicked on a link while online & left my contact details, as the "free sample" sounded good. I was rung at work and asked for credit card details, while being assured that only $1.99 in postage would be debited. I received 2x Bellaplex and Hydroxatone. On reading the small print, I realised I didn't want to use these products and risk being charged any more, so I rang towards the end of the 30-day trial to advise I wanted to return the unopened products. The person on the other end was hard sell and basically said I owed $140.00 plus, but that he would do me a favour and only charge $69.00- half price.
I felt totally ripped off and advised him that this was false advertising and that he had better not charge my credit card or I would report him to our Consumer Affairs Dept for fraud- as well as disputing any more transactions via my bank. I asked for the return address and was given one in New Jersey, which seemed ridiculous. However, I later had fraudulent transactions come through on the card I had used for postage amount. My bank cancelled that card and issued a new one, so they weren't able to use the card details I had given. Person rang me back from company after the heated phone conversation and said "you didn't think you would get all that for free did you?" I told them they were a rip off and not to contact me again and hung up. Moral of the story: beware of internet links, I guess.

Hopefully, the following will help people to avoid getting caught out by this very misleading selling by BB Cream by Hydroxatone. I received a posting on my Facebook page today advising that Ellen Giving Away Free Trial of Miracle Skin Cream To Her Aussie Fans For Christmas and you just had to pay the postage. I clicked on the link and decided to go ahead. On the screens I was transferred to, I said NO THANKS to offers and when I got to the end of the transaction, I received my order information. I submitted my credit card details to pay for the postage. I thought I would be just paying the $1.99 and end of story. If I like a product, I will buy it but when I look at the Terms and Conditions, I was taken aback.
Luckily, I was able to find a phone number in Australia and rang immediately. I spoke to a lady who told me my order was cancelled and that I would not be receiving any charges as they don't go through until an order is posted out. I checked my bank account and a $1.99 fee has been charged. I rang back and was told that this amount will be reversed. Something I will have to keep a close eye on as I am a bit worried that other amounts will be debited to my account. If anyone is looking for the landline numbers in their country, then this may be of assistance. I rang the Australian number and someone did speak to me.
