We decided to bank our baby's newborn stem cells for life-saving reasons. They said you can use it for different diseases if she or her parents got sick and needed it. I had no issues with Cord Blood Registry at all.

My cousin banked her baby's newborn stem cells before me. So, she recommended it and I did it for my second child. My son is already 14 years old. I would recommend CBR 100%.

Cord Blood Registry was what was recommended. I went through a fertility clinic for my son's birth and, thankfully, I was able to get pregnant on the third try and he was born in December of 2024. He'll be two this December. The CBR representatives were wonderful. They explained everything very well and very professionally. They helped me understand exactly how it all works. It was a little bit expensive because it's not really something that we're currently using, but if something were to happen in the future and we needed to use it, we have it available. So, that's the good thing, but it could be a little bit cheaper. A little less always helps.

We saw an advertisement at the hospital, and we went with Cord Blood Registry when we had our child. Signing up was very easy and I haven't had anything but positive interactions. I would recommend CBR. It’s straightforward and affordable.

Just before giving birth, I was reading about the benefits of cord blood banking, and I decided that it's a good thing to do. I can form a healthy family and at the same time, it's nice to have something that can save some of us in the future. Financially, the moment wasn’t the best. But the rep was nice and helped me get what we needed to get done. I registered and once I gave birth, my doctor did what she needed to do and the cord blood is in storage. I’m comfortable recommending CBR to others.

There’s a history of cancer in the paternal line and just in case there are any new scientific innovations, I decided to go into cord blood banking. I didn’t know of any other company so I went with Cord Blood Registry. The reps were always very polite and helpful whenever I needed them.

Cord Blood Registry was the first one that was offered to me, and it was a great idea. So, I did it for peace of mind. The service was excellent when I signed up and I recommend for any future parents to bank with them. CBR treats you with care and they’re professional. From what I got, the price was great, though when I got it again later on, it went up.

conversations with them were pretty seamless and they had more customer testimonials available on the website. Overall, their customer service was really good. Being almost a new mom, I had a ton of questions, so I was calling a lot and they were nice to me.
When I renewed our contract this year, the representative I talked to was informative and kind. There's a one lump sum that you can pay now or even pay monthly. For me, it's cheaper to pay everything upfront versus doing a monthly path. But after I paid, they accidentally applied my payment to the wrong child. So when I called back, they realized it and told me that they would fix it right away. So, even when there was an issue, they were really on top of helping me get it fixed. I was super comfortable working with them. It's almost one of these things where you do it and you forget about it. But it's like an insurance policy that, God forbid, if my children ever need it, I now feel more confident that, in the future, as technology advances, they'll have more options than my parents or I did. It also seems like Cord Blood Registry's facilities are really safe and clean. I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to have a service like this and for what it is, it's pretty cheap.

I was expecting and I did a lot of research and cord blood banking was of interest to me. I also spoke to other people who had done similar things in terms of ensuring that, should anything happen with the baby, there's something there that can potentially help them later in life, which was the key reason why we did it. The rep from Cord Blood Registry was very knowledgeable. We had not only online information to understand the process, but they were also very informative. If we had questions, they were responsive. They explained everything, and I had quite a few questions, and they put me at ease. So, it worked out.
People should do their research first and understand the science behind cord blood and how it can help. It can help in so many ways with marrow and other conditions. Cord blood and the placenta are used in research, and I wanted to ensure that it was going to help my child if ever needed, so it was a no-brainer. The price point was fine, we knew the expectations, and the biggest thing for me is peace of mind. If anything were to happen, we know it’s there. It’s not all banked in one thing. It’s sectioned, which is helpful, because if you need it more than once, you have it there. There's the ability to do that, or to even pull from the stem cells, which is a big deal. I hope it continues to thrive and prosper because that's one good thing about science that I like. As long as they're not using it for other things that I don't know about, I'm okay with that.

The child I did cord blood banking with is 20 now. He was our fourth baby and we had a big gap in between. We thought that if anyone in our family would ever need those stem cells, we were in a financial position with him and his birth and we could bank his cord blood where we wouldn't have been able to with the other kids. That was along our line of thinking at that time. Most everyone was banking cord blood at that time as well. I don't know if it was new or trendy with people in my area during that time, but I went along with what everyone was doing. It's been a while since we went with Cord Blood Registry, but it was all I had ever heard of and it's all I still ever heard of. They must have been more thorough about putting their information in maternity packets. With my daughters that have had babies, we haven't seen any advertisement. My daughters have never even heard of cord blood banking.
When we signed up with Cord Blood Registry, everything was positive. I remember like it was yesterday when we had to do the pick up the next day or two days later at the house. We lived in a very rural area and the gentleman that picked up had to drive really far to get to us and he was very kind. The service is good, but the initial payment was a bit expensive and it was a good value for what we got for it, but if it had been any of our other kids that were in previous years, we wouldn't have been able to afford it. As far as banking every year, if we were in financial hardship, it would be something that we wouldn't have continued and then maybe regretted it, but we've always been able to keep it up.
In the 20 years we've been with Cord Blood Registry, they haven't jumped up in price a lot, if any at all. It doesn't feel like it's a big burden yearly to keep the cord blood banked. There have been times where we've forgotten it was time to make the payment, and they always gave us a courtesy call so we didn't miss out. The reps have always been very friendly and professional, and I would be very comfortable recommending CBR. When I still had babies, I recommended it.

I've been reading a lot about stem cells and how it's going to be very important in the future and it could help treat very difficult diseases. Hopefully, my daughter will never need to use them. Instead of just throwing them away, maybe I can save the umbilical cord and blood for her. You never know what's going to happen in the future. My gynecologist referred me to Cord Blood Registry when I told her I was considering saving the umbilical cord and umbilical slots for my daughter. She gave me the brochure and I called them. The signup process was very easy and simple.
I gave birth seven years ago and CBR was able to collect everything on time. It was a very good experience. The reps were very professional, friendly and they were able to help me every step of the way. They gave me all the answers that I needed. I pay every year and the price is reasonable. CBR was the only company that I have dealt with and they were very good. I was skeptical at first, but I did not regret saving everything for my daughter. I’ve never needed to use the umbilical cord or blood or any of the things we're saving for now. But so far, we don't have any issues. I'm very pleased with this service.

21 years ago, we decided to do the cord blood banking with Cord Blood Registry. We did it when our son, Aaron, was born and we did it because if we ever needed his stem cells, we would want them viable. I wish we had also done it for Justin, the oldest boy, but we didn't since we didn't know about it at the time. That was 1998. Other than that, the price was reasonable and the process with Cord Blood Registry went off without a hitch. I've recommended them to several people.

My wife was interested in storing our baby's newborn stem cells, and Cord Blood Registry was the place that the hospital had recommended. The process was really streamlined. The hospital did everything for us. They had a messenger pick the kit up as soon as the sample was ready. I'm a medicine and science person, so I think it may be eventually beneficial. Overall, our experience working with Cord Blood Registry has been great. I ran into problems paying my bills, and they were very nice and did help me out. They did some stuff for me that made everybody happy.

We took the kit to the hospital and everything was good. But it took me a while to get the kit picked up. I thought in that kit it said they would come in a couple of hours but it took me almost six hours after I called and they came and collected the kit. I had to call a couple of times to make sure are they coming or not. So there wasn't any feedback whether they received my request, whether they get to my address correctly, are they coming. I had to call and make sure, "Okay. Are they coming or not?" So that was a little bit uncertain at the moment. That was the only drawback that I saw. I recommend Cord Blood Registry to anyone. They just need to be patient.

Cord Blood Registry's procedure sounded professional, and it seemed right. We gave them the time to explain what the procedure was, and we liked it. It was doable. Our CBR reps were fantastic. Everything went exactly as they said it would when it was happening. We have three children, and we've banked stem cells with all three. There's no guarantee that all three would have the same cord blood, so we did all three. We're still paying for it.
CBR met our expectations. There was a couple of things that have been disappointing in the cost. It was supposed to be the same cost for life, and it changed. The price definitely went up. The storage fee went up over time. They did give us an opportunity to pre-pay at that rate for 20 years, but we didn't have $10,000 to give them. So, we agreed for the storage fee to go up. It's happened twice but again, we've had it for 20 years. So, I'm not gonna hold it against them. They didn't know the cost was gonna go up 20 years ago. Other than that, I do recommend CBR to anybody that are gonna have a baby or is pregnant. I think everybody should do it if they can afford it. It's definitely an affordable thing.

I learned about Cord Blood Registry in 2012 and at the time, they were the only cord blood banking service I was aware of. I decided to use them for future health purposes for my growing family and I had a positive experience with the representative when I signed up. My husband mentioned the last time we paid for a year that we didn’t realize that CBR needs a certain amount of cord blood to use the stem cells. I don’t know how much was collected, so we looked it up to see whether there was enough. Had I known there was a required amount, I would have done this for each of my children. I’ve learned that a lot of people end up donating what they’ve stored, and that’s just something that’s come up recently. CBR is a nice constant to know it's there. I just wish I had more information in the beginning.

I heard about Cord Blood Registry 19 years ago through a doctor's office. It's been a positive experience all the way around. In case one of our kids needs it, there's something that could help them with their health.

I was reading up stuff while I was on bed rest when I was pregnant with my first two kids. I read that the cord blood can help save the baby's life in case he got a disease or a brain injury. I also read that throughout the years, they can get even better with what they can cure. But I ended up going into labor really early with my twins, so I wasn't able to do the Cord Blood Registry because it wasn't planned and I didn't have the kit.
For my second pregnancy, I was prepared and we did it. I gave the doctor the kit, and I told him not to forget to save my cord blood and that someone was going to pick it up. Then I got some confirmation that it was picked up. Other than that, the price is decent. The first couple of years, it was a lot cheaper, then it went up. But I couldn't throw it away now, so I got to pay. Also, when I called Cord Blood Registry and asked multiple questions, they've given me the answers. All in all, I had a positive experience and I've tried to tell people to do it.

From what I read, if there was any blood disease, storing the cord blood could help a child or even a parent at some point. I did that through Cord Blood Registry 17 years ago and their service has been great. I would recommend them. Thank God, we haven't had to use the cord blood, so I don't know how effective it is. Hopefully, I never will. But we've been paying into it for a long time.

We lived in California six years ago, and Cord Blood Registry was the only one we could get that was closer and more feasible than all the others. They did call quite a bit during the sign-up process, and since I was heavily pregnant, it was hard to talk. But they kept track of when I was about to have the baby, and then the whole handoff process was easy.
Payment can feel a bit rough at the beginning, but after the first year, at least I know it's coming. There was also some paperwork I needed to fill out that I didn't get until later, but they said it was fine.
We love Cord Blood Registry, and I've recommended it to others. We're a mixed-heritage family, and I have had an experience where my friend had her brother-in-law, who was Filipino and Mexican, needed a cord blood but they couldn't find a match.

About 20 years ago, we banked our newborn daughter’s stem cells so that in the event that a family member needed it, it would be available to them. Everything was pretty much handled by the doctors at the hospital. They collected it and sent it off to Cord Blood Registry. All we had to do was set up our account ahead of time.
We haven’t had a reason to use the service, thankfully. The only contact we have now is just the annual payment. It was a very simple process and definitely worth it for the peace of mind.

My OB’s office had ads and information about Cord Blood Registry, and we decided to bank our baby’s stem cells from cord blood because of all the innovations and technology out there. It could be used for future medical procedures if my kids ever need it down the road. It is pricey, but we knew that going into it.
My interactions with representatives were positive. They answered all the questions we had. We have three kids. So, we have the most questions with the first one. And then we just reach out to update personal information when we move or change credit cards. The hold times aren’t too long.

We chose Cord Blood Registry because it was the one AdventHealth provided paperwork for when my son was born. He hasn’t needed it, but just knowing it’s there is quite reassuring. My husband's the one who initially set everything up when I was actually in the hospital. But thus far, it's been very easy and successful. Customer service was excellent.
We did have an interesting experience because my son was born during a hurricane and the hospital was on lockdown, which made getting everything submitted within the time limits challenging. On top of that, he was born with a congenital heart defect, which threw everything off. But overall, we’ve been happy customers and I'm comfortable recommending them.

I knew this was gonna be my last child so I decided to invest in this. I regretted not doing it with my first child because cord blood can be used later in life if you have cancers, the stem cells from it. It's been 15 years and it's always been good. I get a reminder every year from Cord Blood Registry when it's time for me to pay my bill. And I also get an email annually offering me a referral if I refer anybody to them. I've only had to call customer service a couple of times but they've always been receptive and take care of whatever the problem is quickly.

I am adopted, so I wanted to make sure that there was some kind of backup for my kids in case they needed anything in regards with stem cell, and CBR is keeping my cord blood. The doctor had no problem retrieving and shipping, and they received it fine. I haven't had any worries. I just wish it wasn't so expensive to keep year after year. One thing they don't have is a program where you can donate them. Because I asked what happens if I don't pay, and they say they just throw them out. So they might wanna look into maybe being able to donate.

My wife’s OB and my sister, who is also an OB, suggested banking our baby’s newborn stem cells from their cord blood because they thought it was a good idea. The doctor we had in Plano, Texas, suggested Cord Blood Registry. We just thought in advance it was safer to have it, though I hope to never use it.
