    My coach Shannon is positive and not pushy. She keeps me interested when I feel I am not. The meds are amazing. Need to focus more on water and finding more interesting foods. Don’t love the readings but I try. If you want to lose weight and feel better about yourself, this is a great program.

    What can I say about Calibrate other than totally amazed. I started this venture a little skeptical unsure what I thought about the program and every two week coaching session and only wish I had done this months before.     I joined in May and was impressed with the professionalism of the program from the start: the literature, coaching sessions, required labs, and doctor visit. The med took a little longer to get started but it eventually started end of August and has been great: I have already lost close to 10% of my weight. It’s been relatively easy to communicate with people on the different channels and I have always received a response. My coaches have been very helpful, supportive, and friendly.     Once they have your money - they vanish. They make promises about medically supported weight loss but they will not give you the medications. They have repeatedly tried to move me to medications my insurance won't cover and once I have declined them STILL BILLED MY INSURANCE. You cannot talk to a person - only endless emails and chats on their app - if you can use it without it crashing - which they don't answer for days at a time. The one person you do talk to is limited to 15 minutes every two weeks and is so crunched between appointments that no meaningful conversations happen. Go anywhere but this program! It is all advertising, no substance.

    I joined Calibrate at the suggestion of a friend who was about 3 months into the Calibrate program. I’d been trying to lose approx 12% of my body weight for almost 5 years but would lose and regain the weight. My BMI was over 30, so technically I was obese and I was very uncomfortable in the actual physical sense. I have been on Calibrate for about 7 months and have lost 9% of my body weight using the behavioral techniques acquired and with the assistance of the physician prescribed medications. (While I’ve had some of the most common side effects of the medications, I considered these mild and not unmanageable).

    What I appreciate about Calibrate is that it uses a series of small actions to build success (so, weight lose) and includes behavior lessons that address all aspects of life - stress, sleep, busy lifestyle, exercise and activity, and of course diet factors. They use updated nutrition and health science to back up the lessons, and suggest actions and meal plans that help achieve the little goals.

    My coach and I really “click”, and she has helped me to anticipate and manage changes in diet, medication or lifestyle choices. The app helps bring into focus actual daily “performance” on things that matter to health, like how much sleep and activity I’m getting, and how those effect my energy (for example). I like that Calibrate asks for participant commitment to the lessons and coaching sessions because it made me set aside time at the outset to make sure I could meet the obligation. The Calibrate experience had been incredibly positive for me, liberating me from the weight and returning a feeling of control over what and how much I consume.

    I gave these people 1600 dollars expecting good service on September 9. It is October 18 and still no GLP-1. They claim it was a process with insurance. Great excuse but on October 7 BCBS sent a letter saying all was good on the GLP-1. I am not sure exactly what I am getting for 1600 bucks. I am still paying a copay for the medication. There is a televisit doctor, and a "coach" that really does nothing that everyone who has been on diet programs hasn't seen before. There has to be a better way than this process. There are no phone numbers to call. There is a messaging system that seems to take days before a response is given. It sounds too good to be true, so far it is too good to be true.

    The program is thorough, effective and has great tips and tools. Work needs to be done on the communication methods to connect when help is needed and in ensuring that medicine is refilled. The $25 a month for meds promise is not accurate. I paid $1300 a month but have had good results and feel much healthier.

    The program overall has been positive but there are a few areas for improvement. 1. Medical team responses to questions are very slow. I've waited up to 10 days which is unacceptable given this program involves medication. 2. During the pharmacy change, service, quite honestly, was a nightmare. It didn't appear to be well executed and my meds were delayed while they went through the transition. This has since resolved but I would suggest more leadtime and better execution in the future.

    I decided to sign up with Calibrate because I wanted a holistic weight management program - nutrition, medical oversight, prescription management, and one-on-one support. I was wary of paying $1,649 up front but I decided I was investing in myself - by paying it all, I would hold myself accountable and not bag out on a monthly program. When the program proved to be absolutely awful, I understood why they charge upfront - if it was a monthly subscription, no one would pay for it.

    The Nutrition portion of the program is a folder of materials mailed to you upon sign-up. They have "food triangles" and depending on the stage of the program you are in, you follow the triangle. Unfortunately, it's not as clear-cut as it sounds - evidenced by the sheer volume of questions in the peer-run Facebook support groups. "Is this food green?" Well, on this triangle it's green, on this triangle it's yellow-green, on this triangle it's orange, unless it has this ingredient which makes it red. You need an advanced degree to follow all of the if/then caveats for each food. There is no orientation for new members, there is no webinar to watch, and there is no interactive way to confirm where a particular food falls on any given triangle. Think Weight Watchers and their barcode scan capability - you should be able to plug in a food and a stage and get a color.

    Medical oversight is laughable. Before you start, they order labs for you. Once you get the results, you meet with a doctor to discuss them. That doctor sends you back to your PCP for EVERYTHING other than attempting to get a prescription filled for a GLP-1 medication. It's a 30-minute call which isn't nearly enough time to go through everything. If you have any follow-up or subsequent questions on anything medical, you have to post a message in one of their two support channels. You can also ONLY do this through the app on your mobile device - that functionality is NOT available on the web browser. It's absurd to treat medical questions the same way you would a tweet. Additionally, it takes them anywhere from 2 to 4 days to respond to your questions. If my doctor took 2 to 4 days to respond to a medical question, I'd find a new doctor. Additionally, they will not order new labs until you reach the end of your one year program.

    Upon reviewing my labs, I was prescribed ** (pill form) and told they would attempt a pre-authorization for **. After 5 weeks, I learned (before Calibrate told me) that I was denied for ** for multiple reasons - reasons which Calibrate should have been aware of given that this GLP-1 med thing is the crux of their whole deal. I then get told they are going to prescribe me ** - a medication I have never heard of that was never discussed in the call with my doctor and that relies on a manufacturer's coupon to be affordable. Yeah, no - I want to talk to someone about this.

    I kept posting in the medical support channel and kept getting pushback until they finally caved and scheduled a follow-up call. During that call, the doctor discussed the reasons for ** being denied (duh) and the efficacy of **. I decided to do some research and think about it. Not a day later, I get a message telling me I was approved for ** - a medication we had NEVER discussed. I mean seriously?! I ultimately decided to go with **. I had my first doc appointment on 8/12; I took my first shot on 9/27; today is 10/12.

    Now ** is supposed to be an increasing dose month over month. However, each month, you have to contact Medical through the app so they can contact your pharmacy to delivery the next month. Again - 2 to 4 days for a response. And if something doesn't go according to plan, you could be without your med for weeks.

    The one-on-one support is in the form of 15-minute bi-weekly “coaching” sessions. I had three sessions, and while my coach was a nice girl, she did nothing for me from a “coaching” or support standpoint. The last straw for me came when I requested a coaching change, waited for a response, then got ghosted. I then get told my message “slipped through the cracks”. I’m sorry? What else am I paying for here? My annual fee works out to nearly $65 for each 15-minute session and my messages fall through the cracks. That’s awesome.

    The app is terrible. The website interface is terrible. The two have completely different functionality. The communication and response times are abysmal. If you post in the ”wrong” support channel - meaning it should go in General Support, not Medical Support, or vice versa - you are told to post in the correct channel, where you go back to the bottom of the queue for a response. 



    All in all, this proved to be a totally DIY program. There was no accountability at all for me beyond what I did for myself. I specifically picked this program because I didn’t want to be a slave to tracking. It was the complete opposite of what I was looking for - weigh yourself daily, track your water, track your sleep, track your red foods, track your mood. 

 My mood? Not very happy.

    Calibrate’s refund policy is very strict, mainly because they know they won’t deliver on their promises and want to attempt to ensure they can keep your money. When I approached them with my extreme dissatisfaction and wish to cancel for a pro-rated refund, I was told no. I asked for it to be escalated; I was asked to have a phone call with someone first. I did, and I again requested it be escalated. There were - again - two to four days between interactions, whether by phone or by written message. I was very clear that if I didn’t receive a pro-rated refund ($1,166.67 - I deducted the lab fees and the equivalent of two months of the program, which I believe was VERY fair) I would dispute the entire charge with my credit card provider. After four days I didn’t have a response, so the chargeback was initiated yesterday. I have screenshots and emails for everything.

    I paid $1,649 for some glossy paper, a scale ($60 value - I looked it up), and a broken tape measure - and yes, I submitted a message about that and never got a reply. My PCP (who is awesome and was prepared to work with me on everything before I joined this sham program) has taken over everything. I will do it myself. I am following my own nutrition program and built my own exercise program - no small tasks, with current physical injuries. I lost 9 pounds on my own before my first shot and I've lost 7 pounds since my first shot. Don't do it. Contact your PCP and work with them. You will be so much better off.

    I’m a 5’2”, 45 years young active wife, mother of 2 whom also works full time. I was a college soccer player and have also completed 4 70.3 triathlons. The past 5 years my weight has gradually been increasing, while I have also been changing my diet, exercising with no results. When I read about the weight loss success of GLP-1 and 2 friends who also had success on GLP-1 I sought out a knowledgeable doctor. My primary care physician is very conservative so I didn’t think he would prescribe a GLP-1 for me. My BMI was 30.5 and I also had elevated cholesterol levels.

    After I signed up for Calibrate and had my zoom call with a physician, I was started on ** and **. I was titrated up to the maximum dose spending four weeks at each dose. (5months) I had very little side effect from GLP-1, except very little appetite. I was switched to ** at month 5 due to ** availability. I am starting my second month and titrating up as prescribed on **. I have lost just over 30lbs!! I went to my primary care physician for my annual follow up and he asked how I have lost the weight and told him I went through calibrate and am on a GLP-1. He was impressed and said he is learning more about them for weight loss.

    As for the Calibrate program: my zoom call with the doctor I felt I connected with her and that she really listened to me. Then I meet my Coach Katelyn whom I zoom with every 2 weeks to go trough the education modules. Katelyn and I have really connected and I feel she is truly my accountability partner. Back in the summer of 2022 with ** shortages it was a little frustrating trying to get a reply from a physician/medical team but when I sent a message to Katelyn I had a response quickly. I know the summer Calibrate had some growing pains but fortunately they were able to resolve the issues quickly. So far I am very satisfied with my results from Calibrate and the staff- I wish they had a phone number to call which could enhance customer service. Can’t wait to hit my goal weight.

    Six months ago I was at my wits' end. After almost a decade of steady weight gain, I had reached an all-time high. That was bad enough on its own, but at 48 years old and with a few health risk factors, I knew time was no longer on my side to get things back on track. I had to make some changes before I ended up with health consequences that would be much more difficult to overcome.

    A little earlier in life I was able to lose weight whenever I set my mind to it. If I cut back a bit, exercised more, or combined the two, I was always able to drop some pounds and keep things in check. However, after several years of working long hours on the road, living off of fast food and, eating too much and often too late for my own good, I began to find that the old standbys didn’t work anymore. The scale was only moving in one direction.

    I could feel how much the extra pounds were starting to affect my well-being and ability to function at, both at work and at home. My blood pressure was elevated and suspected that insulin resistance was a big issue. I had seen a few ads for Calibrate online and had even taken a look around the site a couple of times, but after hitting that high weight, I decided that it was time to do more than look. I needed a kickstart to get me moving in the right direction and it looked like just the thing.

    What attracted me to Calibrate was the multi-faceted approach. I’ve tried typical diet and lifestyle changes with little to no success in recent years, but Calibrate combined lab work, meeting with a doctor, and prescription medication to help get my blood sugar back in line with a diet approach that didn’t require a riding system of counting calories or points. I wasn’t sure about the necessity of having a coach going in, but I was game to try that, as well.

    While I liked the way Calibrate was set up, I was a little skeptical of how I would do when I first got the packet with all of the literature and looked over the food triangles. It seemed like that level of dietary change would be overwhelming. However, while waiting to get my labs scheduled, I slowly started taking the advice in the literature. I began paying more attention to labels on the food I typically eat and replacing some of them that I found were loaded with empty carbs, preservatives and synthetic sweeteners. The more I eased into this new way of looking at food, the easier I found it was for me to follow.

    I think that slow and steady approach is one of the best aspects of Calibrate and what has made it work for me. The medications were introduced in stages. The changes have come gradually over weeks and months. I found that the different steps of altering my diet, improving my sleep, working on stress levels and exercising more all built on each other in a way that felt natural and lead to success.

    It turned out that having a coach was a bigger part of that process than I expected. Even though I wasn’t sure about having a coach before getting starting, working with Alyssa has definitely changed my mind. She’s been a positive and reassuring guide through the Calibrate program. She has answered all my questions and helped to keep me on track with lots of encouragement. It’s good to have that accountability, especially when there’s such a positive focus to it.

    I’ve now reached the six month mark of my Calibrate journey and I feel better than I have in a long time. I’ve lost almost 60 pounds, which is honestly a lot more than I expected going into this. I have more energy at work and at home. More importantly, my blood sugar seems to be sorted out and my blood pressure has returned to normal levels that I haven’t seen in over a decade. As good as the weight loss feels, these positive impacts on my overall health are what have me singing this program’s praises.

    One of the aspects I most appreciate about Calibrate at this point is that it feels sustainable. The changes that I have made have worked as well or better than advertised and feel like I will be able to continue them going forward to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I’ve done the typical diet and quick-fix thing before and I know what that feels like. Calibrate is something completely different and I’m so glad I found it.

    I found Calibrate in a search for medical weight loss. I liked the Calibrate approach of changing your set point, because that makes sense and I’d seen it in my own life; I kept going back to the same weight. My doctor and I reviewed Calibrate and surgery. She considered surgery a good option, while I was reluctant because I am an emotional eater and felt I didn’t have a lot of support; I was afraid I’d be in the 10% that failed it.     I started my journey with Calibrate in Feb of 2022. I purchased the year plan. Nearly $1500 for the year. I have had 4 coaches , and no longer am receiving the medication I was on for nearly 4.5 month. I now have hot flashes, headaches and fatigue. I have not lost the weight I really was hoping to with this program. The phone application they use is also hard to use. Sometimes you can’t find the education materials, it may not save your tracking and /or just does not connect to the internet. I was sincerely hoping for a helpful weight loss program, but have not received that with this program. I feel like I have wasted my money.

    Updated on 8/1/2023: I have been with Calibrate for a year now. It was a horrible initial 3 months getting my prescription started. After that, they did well. I even signed up for another year. Now, here we go again. I have been without my medication for almost a month. They will reorder the meds but not do the prior authorization, so I CAN'T get it. It takes several days for a response and there is no number to call. This is insane! I’m going to try and get my money back!

However, I have still not been able to get my medication. I have gotten 2 emails from Calibrate stating that it is at Pill Pack and it is not. Pill Pack has reached out to them 3 times. I have reached out using every communication modem available to me and I have not heard anything. Anything!!! I think this is a great program that has experienced some set-backs. I am willing to start fresh, I just need my medication. They can even call it in to a local pharmacy. For heavens sake, just communicate with me. If I don't hear anything from Calibrate and/or get my medication my August 25, 2022, I am requesting a refund. I need to get on with my life and get on a consistent and dependable weight loss journey. Thank you.

    So, I made a $125- $150 to be interviewed by a Calibrate Doctor online/remote... we went over the process and cost of the program.... Very Expensive process... I qualified based on my lab results... however, they needed to confirm what my health insurance will cover regarding the various medications/injections... I never received a callback or email update during the next 60 days.... But I got a bill from Labcorp for $520 for the requested labwork from Calibrate. Apparently, my health insurance doesn't cover lab work that has a code for obesity.... Keep in mind, I am diabetic, and this code is fine.

    Calibrate Health INC refuses to update the paperwork for Labcorp so my health insurance will cover the charges. Now I am out my personal pocket of money for $670 for a waste of my time. Advice.. check with your health insurance provider if they will cover these services first. This Company needs to be more transparent in the beginning before they accept people's money. My opinion.

    I initially joined Calibrate to get access to the injectable weight loss medicine that was making my friends magically thinner. I didn't think much about the Intensive Lifestyle Intervention (ILI) portion of the part and figured I would play along. Unfortunately, my insurance plan will not approve these medications for obesity. I was already several weeks into ILI part of the program when I found out.

    Calibrate offered to refund my payment, minus the cost of the physician consult. I was surprised to find that I was willing to pay the price of the program for only the ILI because I was already seeing changes and loving it! I'm now 3 months into the program and with the support of Coach Jamie I've made amazing progress: I've quit drinking sodas and Starbucks frappuccinos, happily drinking 100oz of water instead. I'm aware of how eating fast and feeling the need to "clean my plate" has contributed to overeating. I'm eating healthy and no longer have sugar cravings or afternoon energy drops.

    I'm moving more and found motivation to join a gym. I've lost almost 20 pounds in 3 months but more importantly, I've made changes that are sustainable that I am sure this weight will not be coming back at the end of Calibrate. Other pluses include no longer needing glucosamine for arthritis and sleeping better. I honestly had no intention of changing my life at the start but with my coach's support, I'm realizing that I can make tiny changes over time that don't prevent me from living the life I want.     After a few weeks of waiting for my prescription, I reached out to Calibrate's customer service on 7/9 to get an update. I never received a response. I looked up Calibrate's Twitter account and saw a large amount of customers tweeting them who, like me, were unhappy with their experience so far and never received any medication. I had a meeting with my Calibrate coach who told me she was leaving the company.

    I then reached out to Calibrate via Twitter and only then did I receive a response. I requested a refund but they told me I wasn't eligible for a refund because it hadn't been the full 8 weeks from my Calibrate doctor's appointment. They added that because I paid through Affirm I was unable to get a refund regardless. Now I'm seeing news about how they laid off 156 people with little-to-no notice. Obviously their business practices are terrible, and they're preying on vulnerable customers who just want to improve their lifestyle/lose some weight. Still hoping to get my refund.

    I started Calibrate in November 2021. My coach has been amazing through my weight loss journey. I have lost 35 pounds. That’s the good news. The bad news started 2 months into the program. You are scheduled to receive your ** every four weeks. My first refill was delayed 2 weeks. My second refill was delayed 2 weeks. I had signed up for auto refill!! My third refill delayed over a week, to the point that I no longer wanted to use the Calibrate online pharmacy. I asked that my prescription be sent to my local pharmacy. It has not gotten any better. At first I received responses within 48 hours. Now I go more than a week without any response. This plan is based on support and medication. I can count on support, but have never been able to rely on timely delivery of refills. How hard is it to call my pharmacy and authorize 3-4 refills?

    Last week, I received a letter from the founder and president of Calibrate explaining that the company was “reorganizing”. She offered a free month of calibrate support for free. Enough already. Go to your primary care doctor and ask for the medication. It’s approved by the FDA for weight loss. Pay the $25 copay and cut out the middle person. I would like all of my money back, but I’d settle for the remainder that I owe. Great concept, but abysmal follow through.

    After exhaustive research (including here) I signed on 6/20/22. They took my $1600 and I had an online doctor visit. Since then, none of my questions have been answered and I have seen no progress on prescriptions. Today their CEO sent a communication to all subscribers saying that the medication access issues and long response times are unacceptable and asking for people to trust them. They have broken trust with me. I invested significantly time and emotional energy in this decision and times my enrollment to maximize insurance benefits, and at this juncture based on my experience and their communication I have NO CONFIDENCE in Calibrate. I don’t know if they grew too fast, couldn’t adequate funding, or what happened. But I have not received what I signed up for and there’s no indication it will turn around in time for me to meet my goals. I have demanded a full refund and am exploring other options.     Do not be fooled by this program. It is a money making venture more than a weight loss program. The program is suppose to be centered on the fact that the company says they will work to get you on Wegovy. But the truth is they will work to get you on any GLP-1 medication. I was already taking ** 1mg through my Endocrinologist. I spoke with their doctor on March 31, 2022 and was told that at some point ** 2mg was approved but not available. I told the doctor I was already on it and they went and approved the medication as a ploy to keep me in the program. I asked for out.

    My coach was fabulous but not worth $135 a month for two 15 minute slots. My endocrinologist put me back on ** which is outside the program parameters. I have spent a month trying to get out without success only to be forced to pay another month for nothing. There are good components of this program like the reading materials and the coaches but the doctors DO NOT LISTEN and are only out to collect the money each month.

    I have struggled with my weight my entire life, and have lost/regained 50+ pounds several times prior to Calibrate. I can lose weight with white-knuckled will-power, but have never been able to keep it off. I've learned that rigid weight loss programs are ultimately unsustainable. In July 2021, I was at my highest weight ever and felt utterly hopeless. I had come to the conclusion that I was ultimately a failure, and that staying at nearly 300lbs was healthier than yo-yo-dieting.     I was initially drawn to the fact that the program is grounded in real, legitimate, scientific research, and treats Obesity like a medical condition, not a personal failure. For the first time ever, I have a healthy, balanced relationship with food and exercise. I am ridiculously active, and feel like a whole new world has been opened up to me.

    I have found a safe and supportive community within Calibrate, where I can be truly honest about my struggles and celebrate my successes. When my 1-year is complete, I plan on enrolling in their Graduate program to maintain my weight loss, stay connected to my coach for accountability, and remain focused on my long-term goals.     When I decided traditional diet programs weren't working for me and I had had enough of being unhealthy and unhappy I decided to join Calibrate! This set me on an amazing 1 year journey where I learned how to eat, not diet. I learned how important emotional health, sleep and hydration were to success!     I saw an ad for Calibrate on my Facebook feed. The eating plan and the pillars made sense to me. I decided to try it out for a year. I had tried every program there was, and I had lost weight before but always gained it back and never maintained it. I joined in December 2020. The app was straightforward. I met with the medical team and then met with my coach. The pillars are simple to follow, and the eating plan was not restrictive. I had lost 13% of my body weight in the first three months, exceeding the 10% goal.

    My coach, Melanie, was terrific. She walked me through the challenging times and cheered me on when I was successful. I have been maintaining my weight for over eight months. My energy is better than it has ever been. My primary care doctor is incredibly pleased with my lab numbers, and I now have normal blood pressure. This program works and is easy to sustain in the long term. This program is not a quick fix but a long-term solution for your health. I highly recommend Calibrate!!

    I have had a great first year on Calibrate! I have lost 15% of my bodyweight, and I have never felt so good. I feel that the medication, biweekly lessons and one on one meetings with my coach have been essential to my success. The lessons and program slowly changed small habits that have really added up. I feel that I was totally in control and was supported by Calibrate the entire way. I have been able to go on vacation, go to weddings, parties, etc. and I have not felt restricted. I was even able to lose weight on vacation because I had to tools and knowledge to make the best choices possible. There is no counting calories or points, and no pre-made, artificial food. I love that the program focuses on clean eating. That is something that is not just going to help with weight loss, but overall health as well. I am looking forward to year 2, and continuing my journey.
