I joined Calibrate because I have a history of a gastric bypass and my weight had been creeping up a little and I didn’t want to go back and worry about diabetes again. I had no issue with the big starting costs as long as they did what they claimed. I was about 5 months in. Had gotten no medication and only my first coaching session (which were very limited- I needed and couldn’t get evening appointments). So, at that point I asked for their money back guarantee. They said I didn’t qualify. I don’t think they really have a money back guarantee.

At 6 months I finally got 1 month of medicine (which you have to pay for) so I really don’t understand why they get $1900 up front. Don’t pay it! The medicine seemed to really help the 3rd & 4th week especially. But, the next month our insurance changed and they couldn’t get it covered anymore. It was going to be about $700 per month which we couldn’t afford. I asked if I could have a written prescription because my daughter lives in Canada and I was going up there to help my daughter out and they flatly refused. They said I could still be coached (which was worthless) and try without medicine. I don’t know about you, but that is what I had been doing before trying this! Don’t sign up for this program. It isn’t worth what it costs and their money back guarantee is worthless! Try Henry Meds. You get the medicine included in the price!

By the time most people get to Calibrate they are desperate - likely having tried everything and still unable to lose weight. Why else would you pay the hefty price? I am over 100 days in, have not yet received the meds. I have requested a refund several times but nothing. The nutrition program is terrible and totally unstructured. Maybe it works for someone who has never been on a diet before, but if you have a healthy lifestyle in terms of nutrition and exercise, this program will give you nothing. I have gained weight trying to follow it. I would strongly caution anyone to join this program. There are much better options out there for much less money.

I was excited about Calibrate initially but my experience ended up being a waste of time and left me very frustrated. I would never recommend Calibrate to anyone after my recent experience. You have basically no access to a medical provider and all questions go through a support center which rarely accomplishes anything. The customer support was slow and didn't deliver any results aside from stringing me along and empty promises. I sent multiple messages after a medication was "approved" and sent to the pharmacy. They make promises about getting medication approved for weight loss with a copay of less than $25 with the caveat that if it applies to your deductible, you have to cover the cost. This is very misleading and seems very shady.

They couldn't follow through with a decent option for me prescription wise and I asked for a refund. The response I got was essentially heartless - either pay for a medication that would cost $900 a month or continue their program without medication. It basically ended up feeling like a scam in the end. I'm a Physician Assistant and have worked for plenty of telemed companies and I would never recommend Calibrate to patients. I would certinaly never work for a company that expected patients to pay astronomical amounts of money after paying $1600 upfront for basically zero support. I'm considering reporting them to the medical board for patient abandonment because of such a horrible experience.

I received the first prescription of ** on 07/13/2023 and it was filled on 09/08/2023. After starting the meds, I began to lose weight, without any side effects. Approximately 1 month into it, due to high demand of the drug, I stopped receiving my monthly supply. After repeatedly contacting the support team between Oct 10th and December, I was finally issued and prescription for ** that has never been filled and has sat endlessly in my queue at my local pharmacy. I will never see this prescription filled.

Starting in January knowing that the ** prescription will not be filled, I contacted the Care team to get my ** prescription reactivated I have gone back a forth with the Calibrate team to get a Pre-Authorization letter my local pharmacy with no success it is now 2/19/2024. I have actively participated in all of the required activities coaching sessions, and data tracking, My coach was mysteriously replace after 4 months, and now my membership is about to expire and they are requesting that I join the Master’s program and ignored my complains about not having received drug as expected, why would I pay more money for a complexly broken program. Moreover, the program follow up was nonexistent. I never got a response to any of the inquiries I sent to the medical team. This is completely unacceptable, professionally, and ethically. This business is a scam operation.

I just finished my year long commitment with Calibrate & not only did I not lose any weight, but overall had a terrible experience with the program, communications, app, and customer support. Communication and coordination were terrible. I reached out at the end of my program to request the money back guarantee, as I lost 3% of weight versus the 10% that was promised in the program & through the money back guarantee. I did not log in the app on average 5/week as a part of the program because the app changed halfway through my program and I had 3 months of usability issues with the app. I met with their coaches every 2 weeks, I expressed my concerns with my lack of progress and my issues with the app/not being able to track in the app. I was very communicative with my issues throughout.

I am now being told I do not qualify for the money back guarantee as I didn't meet the tracking requirement, even though it was an app/internal company issue that I didn't track not my own fault. I cannot go into THEIR system to fix the app problems that prevented me from tracking. I did all the other items for the whole year, followed the learning, did the medication, the coaching, the lifestyle change, etc. I am not sure why I am being held accountable for a money back guarantee that was disrupted by the company's change of software & app issues.

I was even told by my coaches that I was not the only person experiencing the issues with the revamped app, that they whole program hinges on. The customer service throughout the program was less than helpful & especially now that I am finished with the program, I keep getting the same copy & past answer to all my concerns and issues. TERRIBLE COMPANY ALL AROUND. I would not recommend this program or company to anyone!

When I had been on the medication for 6 months (paying out of pocket, with pharmacy set on auto refill), the Calibrate team "forgot" to send my next prescription to my pharmacy. I confirmed this over the phone with my pharmacy. No one at Calibrate acted on this mistake urgently, or would even acknowledge that it happened. In response to every question I sent the Calibrate team, I have been gas-lit. The error could not be fixed for 3 weeks, at which point I was affected by (unplanned) withdrawal, unable to function normally. In response to this, Calibrate wanted me to go to a different pharmacy and spend $400 more on the medication. All because of their mistake. Their statement "We're here to support you however we can" is truly meaningless. I can't believe I paid money for this service.

So I joined last year in November 2022, but did not start the program until January 2023. They were able to get my insurance to cover the medication. It was going really well for about 4 months, then I had to be on them for refills. They switched us to communicate only through the app. Of course it didn't always work and had issues. Then finally it worked but still taking days to respond to questions. Then in October I was due to taper off of the meds. They promised it would be a slow process but that was a lie. I emailed for the medication, they said they sent it. Come November I asked about it again and they said they sent it to my pharmacy.

The end of November I asked again about it since they just dropped me without tapering off the meds! They told me to reschedule my next to last coaching session but the app only allowed me to cancel it. As of today it has been 6 days without a response. I would not recommend Calibrate and will no longer tell friends and family to use them. Find someone else that is going to respond to you and at least keep up the medications. You also want a program that follows through with what they advertise!

Let me begin by stating I have tried MANY weight loss programs. (WW, Jenny Craig, Noom, etc.) Calibrate claims to be different. They claim to have support coaches along with doctor-guided medication (semaglutide injections and /or pills depending on what you choose or your insurance company will approve) My insurance company approved Wegovy for me or Saxenda. (Wegovy is a weekly injection and Saxenda is a daily injection) While the supply issues with the company that makes Wegovy are not under Calibrate's control, don't count on Calibrate to respond to you in a timely manner when you have run out of the medication and are told by multiple pharmacies they are unable to get the medication either.

The ONLY way to communicate with Calibrate staff is through their "message support" system within the app and NO ONE responds for 4-5 days at minimum(multiple messages went unanswered for 2+ weeks). If you use Amazon Pill Pack, (which Calibrate suggests) Amazon will automatically cancel your prescription if the medication in the dosage prescribed is not in stock. You then have to message Calibrate Support again which takes multiple days for them to get back to you with a response. With supplies already low and inconsistent in and out of stock, timing needs to be as quick as possible otherwise, the medication is out of stock within a few days and this has happened to me at least 4 months out of the 9 I have been on the medication.

Calibrate most recently let my prior authorization from my insurance company lapse, and I ran out of the medication again. It took me calling Amazon to find out what the hold up was with the medication when it didn't arrive on the day it was supposed to only to find out my prior auth. had lapsed 3 weeks before. If you stop taking the medication for more than 10 days you have to begin at the lowest dosage and build your way up to the level you were previously. The answer I received when I questioned them about the continued lapse in medications was "Our program isn't solely based on medication, that's only one piece of the puzzle." Then how is the Calibrate program any different than WW? Both have eating guidelines, and both have coaching.

The Calibrate program is a glorified WW program, the only thing that sets them apart IS the medication. At least with WW, you can call someone on the phone for help and support. I would not recommend the program to anyone. Save the $1400 program fee, (plus the cost of medication) go to your PCP or another IN PERSON local practice, ask them to help prescribe the medication, and then go to WW. At least you will have someone to call when you need non-emergency help.

Calibrate is a disaster. My initial experience beginning in early May 2023 started with a long delay in getting an appointment scheduled (I didn't get one until mid-June). They clearly do not have enough providers to handle the demand. Once I met with the provider, I got my prescription for Saxenda within 2-3 weeks, which was actually better than I thought. I started taking the medication right away. That's when the problems really began. After I started Saxenda, it's like all medical assistance disappeared (I was able to schedule coaching sessions, and the coaches were generally pretty good).

Around that time, Calibrate switched all members to the app. Which would be fine if the app actually worked. Which it didn't. Curriculum was not accessible. Appointments couldn't be scheduled. Menus wouldn't appear correctly on my iPhone. There was no response for many days or even weeks from customer service when I reached out. There was no medical help. Worst of all, you couldn't use anything BUT the app since they removed all functionality from their website. It was the worst transition to an app that I have ever seen by a company. Just abysmal.

When I finally got fed up and reached out to Calibrate customer service to cancel my service (despite the fact that I was actually losing weight with **!), they refused to offer any refund despite the fact that I still had 8 months to go. I explained that their app was useless and I could not access the curriculum. They still refused to offer a refund. So I cancelled.

Finally, I just learned today that Calibrate cancelled my refills at Amazon Pharmacy despite having multiple refills still available. I can no longer obtain metformin and my **. That just seems spiteful and aggressive. Stay away from Calibrate, especially because there are other, more reputable, and more customer-friendly weight loss services out there.

When I originally started with the company, I had issues getting them to resubmit prior authorization request for different medication to my insurance. After sending multiple messages with no response, I finally resorted to making comments on their social media. This finally prompted a response. There is no way to call them so you are dependent on their messaging system which you can wait for a response on. I finally did get the medication. However, midway through my insurance company needed them to resubmit a prior authorization. They did, but failed to provide the pertinent documentation that the insurance company needs. The insurance company and I both reported to them that they needed to send supporting documentation. It has been three weeks and they still have not done it so I am now no longer on the medication and frustrated. I reported the issue to my Coach.

My Coach was going to bring it up to her supervisor but I still a week later have not had any contact from the company. I feel like the department that handles medication and prior authorization is completely incompetent. And unfortunately, that’s the department you need to be the most competent in order to get the medication started. I used to recommend the company, but now I see a common theme with their lack of follow-through and incompetence in dealing with your insurance.

My experience - joined in January. Paid full price and was a model student. Showed up to my appointments, completed my "homework," weighed in, did all that was asked. My medicine wasn't approved until April and I didn't start receiving it until May. The doctor wrote the script wrong, so in September, my pharmacy could no longer fill it. Once they corrected it (that process took 4 weeks), it then required a pre approval for insurance to cover. It's now been three weeks trying to get a pre-approval. In the meantime - my script has gone from $25 to $1400. And not a peep of help from Calibrate.

To me, this just feels like a scam. I would recommend you save yourself the $1700 sign up fee -- their promises of "navigating the insurance system" are completely misleading -- and just go to your family doctor and talk to them about getting into a program or having them prescribe directly. I only had 4 months of uninterrupted prescription support. The rest has been a total headache and utter frustration. Buyer beware.

It was a little slow to get my doctor's appointment but my semi weekly coaching was set up and ran on schedule for the entire year. They assisted with me getting my GLP1 medication which I started in November. I followed their entire program (the weight loss plan along with the lessons) and was able to lost 52 lbs. I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. It takes a lot of hard work and commitment, but this program made it much easier than anything else I have tried.

Obviously, I wouldn't have renewed the program if I had known I would not be prescribed an ongoing maintenance prescription. I requested a refund for the subscription. I requested the opportunity to speak with a supervisor, and again received a generic message that their leadership supports the no refund policy and was declined any ability to discuss my specific case.

Calibrate allowed me to renew my subscription (with selected plan exclusively for ongoing medical coverage), knowing that they did not plan to provide a continuing Rx, and are now refusing to provide a refund for unused services. They are trying to make me not meet the refund requirements so that I can't ever get my money back, skipped calls, difficult app, non responsive medical team but you're 100% supposed to follow their medication schedules. Predatory.

I joined Calibrate several months ago, paying almost $2K. I waited months for my first and only doctor appointment and I still haven't received my prescriptions. In addition, today I waited for 45 minutes in a Zoom call for my FIRST coaching appointment. The coach finally showed up at 12:15, when the appointment is supposed to end and she disconnected the call. I have never experienced such atrocious customer service. DO NOT JOIN.

I signed up for calibrate and then changed my mind because I couldn’t afford the cost. Review of their website states that I would be able to cancel within 72 hrs without charge. I requested cancellation within 12 hrs of signing up and My requests have been ignored. I have 9 requests for cancellation in the past 6 days and there has been no response. I followed the steps for cancellation on their website and my requests have been ignored. Now I am out $1700 for nothing. Please beware! This is a total scam. They don’t follow their refund policies that are clearly listed on their website.
