The follow-up, medical staff, and coaching are terrible. You complete the program and don't lose the "guaranteed" 10% weight loss and they will not give you a refund (Per their policy there is a loophole for them). Save your time and money!!

So I joined last year in November 2022, but did not start the program until January 2023. They were able to get my insurance to cover the medication. It was going really well for about 4 months, then I had to be on them for refills. They switched us to communicate only through the app. Of course it didn't always work and had issues. Then finally it worked but still taking days to respond to questions. Then in October I was due to taper off of the meds. They promised it would be a slow process but that was a lie. I emailed for the medication, they said they sent it. Come November I asked about it again and they said they sent it to my pharmacy.
The end of November I asked again about it since they just dropped me without tapering off the meds! They told me to reschedule my next to last coaching session but the app only allowed me to cancel it. As of today it has been 6 days without a response. I would not recommend Calibrate and will no longer tell friends and family to use them. Find someone else that is going to respond to you and at least keep up the medications. You also want a program that follows through with what they advertise!

Calibrate allowed me to run out of medication because ** was not available and although a pharmacy had an alternative **, they never replied to my inquiry or the pharmacy allowing me to go cold turkey stopping medication after being on it for over 10 months. I’m still waiting for a reply for them although my program is ending. Maybe they figured they don’t need to reply since my program will be over in two months. Very disgusted by their lack of medical care.

Let me begin by stating I have tried MANY weight loss programs. (WW, Jenny Craig, Noom, etc.) Calibrate claims to be different. They claim to have support coaches along with doctor-guided medication (semaglutide injections and /or pills depending on what you choose or your insurance company will approve) My insurance company approved Wegovy for me or Saxenda. (Wegovy is a weekly injection and Saxenda is a daily injection) While the supply issues with the company that makes Wegovy are not under Calibrate's control, don't count on Calibrate to respond to you in a timely manner when you have run out of the medication and are told by multiple pharmacies they are unable to get the medication either.
The ONLY way to communicate with Calibrate staff is through their "message support" system within the app and NO ONE responds for 4-5 days at minimum(multiple messages went unanswered for 2+ weeks). If you use Amazon Pill Pack, (which Calibrate suggests) Amazon will automatically cancel your prescription if the medication in the dosage prescribed is not in stock. You then have to message Calibrate Support again which takes multiple days for them to get back to you with a response. With supplies already low and inconsistent in and out of stock, timing needs to be as quick as possible otherwise, the medication is out of stock within a few days and this has happened to me at least 4 months out of the 9 I have been on the medication.
Calibrate most recently let my prior authorization from my insurance company lapse, and I ran out of the medication again. It took me calling Amazon to find out what the hold up was with the medication when it didn't arrive on the day it was supposed to only to find out my prior auth. had lapsed 3 weeks before. If you stop taking the medication for more than 10 days you have to begin at the lowest dosage and build your way up to the level you were previously. The answer I received when I questioned them about the continued lapse in medications was "Our program isn't solely based on medication, that's only one piece of the puzzle." Then how is the Calibrate program any different than WW? Both have eating guidelines, and both have coaching.
The Calibrate program is a glorified WW program, the only thing that sets them apart IS the medication. At least with WW, you can call someone on the phone for help and support. I would not recommend the program to anyone. Save the $1400 program fee, (plus the cost of medication) go to your PCP or another IN PERSON local practice, ask them to help prescribe the medication, and then go to WW. At least you will have someone to call when you need non-emergency help.

Very bad experience. Paid 1700 dollars and got a scale for it. Then their internet page broke down for weeks. Did my blood work. Had to explain them where my name was on the sheet repeatedly. They understood it in the third attempt. Had a session with a doctor.

Calibrate is a disaster. My initial experience beginning in early May 2023 started with a long delay in getting an appointment scheduled (I didn't get one until mid-June). They clearly do not have enough providers to handle the demand. Once I met with the provider, I got my prescription for Saxenda within 2-3 weeks, which was actually better than I thought. I started taking the medication right away. That's when the problems really began. After I started Saxenda, it's like all medical assistance disappeared (I was able to schedule coaching sessions, and the coaches were generally pretty good).
Around that time, Calibrate switched all members to the app. Which would be fine if the app actually worked. Which it didn't. Curriculum was not accessible. Appointments couldn't be scheduled. Menus wouldn't appear correctly on my iPhone. There was no response for many days or even weeks from customer service when I reached out. There was no medical help. Worst of all, you couldn't use anything BUT the app since they removed all functionality from their website. It was the worst transition to an app that I have ever seen by a company. Just abysmal.
When I finally got fed up and reached out to Calibrate customer service to cancel my service (despite the fact that I was actually losing weight with **!), they refused to offer any refund despite the fact that I still had 8 months to go. I explained that their app was useless and I could not access the curriculum. They still refused to offer a refund. So I cancelled.
Finally, I just learned today that Calibrate cancelled my refills at Amazon Pharmacy despite having multiple refills still available. I can no longer obtain metformin and my **. That just seems spiteful and aggressive. Stay away from Calibrate, especially because there are other, more reputable, and more customer-friendly weight loss services out there.

When I originally started with the company, I had issues getting them to resubmit prior authorization request for different medication to my insurance. After sending multiple messages with no response, I finally resorted to making comments on their social media. This finally prompted a response. There is no way to call them so you are dependent on their messaging system which you can wait for a response on. I finally did get the medication. However, midway through my insurance company needed them to resubmit a prior authorization. They did, but failed to provide the pertinent documentation that the insurance company needs. The insurance company and I both reported to them that they needed to send supporting documentation. It has been three weeks and they still have not done it so I am now no longer on the medication and frustrated. I reported the issue to my Coach.
My Coach was going to bring it up to her supervisor but I still a week later have not had any contact from the company. I feel like the department that handles medication and prior authorization is completely incompetent. And unfortunately, that’s the department you need to be the most competent in order to get the medication started. I used to recommend the company, but now I see a common theme with their lack of follow-through and incompetence in dealing with your insurance.

My experience - joined in January. Paid full price and was a model student. Showed up to my appointments, completed my "homework," weighed in, did all that was asked. My medicine wasn't approved until April and I didn't start receiving it until May. The doctor wrote the script wrong, so in September, my pharmacy could no longer fill it. Once they corrected it (that process took 4 weeks), it then required a pre approval for insurance to cover. It's now been three weeks trying to get a pre-approval. In the meantime - my script has gone from $25 to $1400. And not a peep of help from Calibrate.
To me, this just feels like a scam. I would recommend you save yourself the $1700 sign up fee -- their promises of "navigating the insurance system" are completely misleading -- and just go to your family doctor and talk to them about getting into a program or having them prescribe directly. I only had 4 months of uninterrupted prescription support. The rest has been a total headache and utter frustration. Buyer beware.

I have almost all positive things to say about Calibrate. I started with the program back in October 2022. It was a little slow to get my doctor's appointment but my semi weekly coaching was set up and ran on schedule for the entire year. They assisted with me getting my GLP1 medication which I started in November. I followed their entire program (the weight loss plan along with the lessons) and was able to lost 52 lbs. I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. It takes a lot of hard work and commitment, but this program made it much easier than anything else I have tried.

I needed Calibrate to send my Rx to another pharmacy. I messaged them and it took them a week to respond and they sent the Rx. But they made a mistake in the Rx notes and my pharmacy wouldn’t fill the Rx. I've been messaging them for a week and have gotten no help in resolving this. Only one automated response. Don’t use this company they are not competent to provide clinical care.

Please do not waste your money on this program. They will make promises and string you along until your program ends. They are no longer able to get medication covered for most participants. They never respond to your concerns, despite emails from the CEO that they will do better. I’ve recommend this program to family and friends only to be embarrassed when they are serviced so poorly. They had a good idea but they grew too fast and market changes have made them irrelevant. Go somewhere else where you can get meds and the proper customer service.

I give ZERO stars if possible. It is not covered by FSA implied. The first doctor's appointment after paying in full took months. I have only had medication prescriptions 3 out of the 7 months since I had the physician appointment. Sure, you can send messages to physicians, and all areas of customer service but expect WEEKS before you get any reply. They “close” the case before you can even give answers to their questions when they do reply. Absolute scam. If you need **, find a local program that may be reliable. Do not use this horrible service as I did. Yes, ** worked for the few weeks (literally) that I had I It available to me. It was not worth $1590 plus labs and medication cost.

Shortly after renewing my annual subscription, I contacted Calibrate to remind them that my annual prescription was in need of refills and asking the process to schedule my next doctor's visit. It was not until this time-- AFTER paying for the $450 renewal program-- that I was told by the Calibrate team that they did not plan on renewing my prescription.
Obviously, I wouldn't have renewed the program if I had known I would not be prescribed an ongoing maintenance prescription. I requested a refund for the subscription. I contacted the Calibrate team portal three times before finally getting a response, only to receive a generic message about their "no refund" policy. I requested the opportunity to speak with a supervisor, and again received a generic message that their leadership supports the no refund policy and was declined any ability to discuss my specific case.
Calibrate allowed me to renew my subscription (with selected plan exclusively for ongoing medical coverage), knowing that they did not plan to provide a continuing Rx, and are now refusing to provide a refund for unused services. This is a clear act of bad faith and truly a dishonest/ distasteful business practice. I have contested the charge with my credit card company and reported to the BBB, but also wish to alert the general public to their underhanded business practices so that hopefully I can save others from the same circumstances.

I signed up for Calibrate on June 1, 2023 at the recommendation of a family member who found the program to be effective. For the first 45 days, their app was defunct, and I could not contact anyone to receive support. Finally, I found a contact number on Reddit, and they finally acknowledged me. I got them my labs and met with a doctor. On July 21st, they submitted the first prior authorization request. It was denied the very next day. The next prior authorization request wasn’t submitted until 10 days later on August 1st. My insurance company let them know more information was needed. Calibrate never responded, so my insurance company closed the case on August 7th.
As of today, August 23rd, no additional prior authorization requests have been submitted. Calibrate also emailed me to say that, despite being unable to contact them for the first 45 days due to their defunct app, they would not expedite my process. I have since emailed in twice with a thorough complaint and called them. It’s been a week, and they have not responded. I will say, to their credit, they refunded me for June. They have not yet responded to my request for a July refund. I will definitely be asking for an August refund since they’re clearly not working on my case. If I could find another company to do this, I would. This organization does not deserve to be in business if they can’t manage themselves appropriately. They certainly should never have launched this ridiculous app that doesn’t work.

I've been trying to work with Calibrate for just shy of a year now. Communication with them has been the worst experience of my life. There is no phone number to call, you just have to wait a couple weeks for them to maybe respond to an email. Over the course of the program I have not lost any weight and have only developed additional anxiety due to their complete lack of communication. Also during the program there were nearly non stop application errors, and then once they launched their new app it is complete dysfunctional for the first two weeks and is still for the most part completely unusable.
I have now requested a refund from calibrate due to their program being a failure for me and they are refusing to offer any refund stating that I did not log my weight enough, when I was logging it daily in their application per their requirements. They do not stand behind their 10% weight loss guarantee and will refuse you any support or refund... if you can get an answer back from otherwise they will just give you the cold shoulder. Calibrate is a joke and a fraud.

According to their app, I should be able to cancel prior to meeting with doctor and receive all but $200 back. I have sent four messages with no response. I messaged them via Facebook, no response. BIGGEST PROBLEM - lots of pretty pictures, but no substance or true support behind the slick marketing and colorful app. It seemed like a great concept at first glance. It seemed to make sense based on a touted blend of technology, science and the support that was promised in addition to that online aspect, well sign me up. Almost immediately after agreeing to participate, at a cost that is well over 1K for a year, support did not line up, responses took forever, meds that were promised to be covered involved getting on the phone with multiple providers to argue about what is covered and the worst part - no way to get to a human easily. This became very apparent when I was offered a new role at my organization that involved a cross country move.
During a that involved relocation that started in June of 2022, I need to pause this program. They offer this, and I took advantage, since it is hard to travel with ** med pens and be on point with everything while trying to introduce myself to a new district 2500 miles from home. My coach was fully aware of the pause and set new appointments close to the end of the pause to resume the program. Out of nowhere, those new appointments were cancelled and not one person reached out to me to explain why or to reschedule with a new coach. Because it is virtually impossible to connect with a human, and I was very busy trying to integrate into my new role and coordinate a move during a very fluid real estate climate, I put it off to the side.
Now 18 months after starting this, and a year from when I "paused" with no personal contact after being ghosted and not being able to get any support, I am getting some sort of “end of program” notice? I feel like the money spent on this program was a waste, from day one there were problems with the app, problems with securing medication and quite frankly, while a good idea in theory, just poorly executed. I feel if the concern and support of the weight loss candidate is the priority, this would not have been my experience. This is yet another program that promises much and delivers nothing. Now that I have been reminded of the negative experience, I am taking the time to rate it accordingly so others can avoid losing cash (and nothing else). Weight loss candidate, beware!

My doctor recommended Calibrate because the medication works, not knowing that the service was trash. I decided to join. Normally when $1600 is involved I would do research but thought since my doc recommended it would likely be ok. I was %1000 wrong. I joined through affirm, made the first payment, received the welcome kit, filled out all the info, did the labs, started keeping track of my stats, set up my appointments... Then I try to open the app one morning and I am prompted to update the app. I do this and all my info is gone. I had been tracking all my things and everything seemed to have disappeared, including the labs I uploaded. I checked my 1st appointments and they had been cancelled. I had no messages in the app so I had no idea why.
The new app wouldn't let me reschedule the appointments either. I had 7 different tickets open asking them to help me get things back on track. After 2 months of no response and them about to take the 3rd payment, I was growing suspicious about this whole program. It wasn't until I called affirm and told them I wanted to open a fraud case against Calibrate because I couldn't get a hold of anyone and they just kept taking money from my account and I had no counseling, no medication and quite literally nothing to show for this entire experience... That's when I finally got a response from Calibrate. Then the person I spoke to was so snide and made me feel like it was my fault that I "failed" their program.
They were so sorry I couldn't make it work for me. What these assholes need to recognize is that this is the last hope for a lot of people. We have been lied to so many times about bogus medications, fad diets, useless supplements, told to starve ourselves, to break ourselves to loose weight. So when you don't respond and leave us hanging we immediately lose any faith that you can help us. People have taken our money for all kinds of ** and it turns out Calibrate is just another greedy company preying on people's last hope. I did finally receive my refund, minus $200 for their stupid notebook, some motivational stickers, and a scale exactly like the one I already had.
