I needed an upper partial, short notice. I was able to get an appointment the following day at 8:30AM after calling the night before and leaving a message at 8PM. I was low on cash and ended up going with the "economy partial" and frankly was expecting something barely passable as teeth from the warnings and foreboding nature of the staff regarding their economy line of products. Impressions at 9AM, partial ready by 3PM. I was surprised with an excellent fit, great color and size matching and have no complaints. I was definitely repeatedly told to buy something more expensive, both by the dentist, his assistant, and the front desk attendant, but I believe this may just be what they do to make money. We will see what happens as time goes on with staining, etc, but definitely satisfied on day 1.

Had 2 pairs of dentures made, and after repeated visits (6 months) they wanted to charge for visits even though the dentures did not fit! Finally had to go to Star Dental and spend $3000 for a new pair even though I paid $5000 for removal and replacement. I was VERY unhappy! They offered to adjust the pair I had, but never offered to make a new pair. That's what I wanted and needed.

I have never been treated so bad and talked to as bad as Dr. ** and his assistant Terra talked to me (she told me to shut up). I left there in tears. The Dr. took my partial that I had made in that office and threw it out of the exam room, I heard it clink when it hit the floor. His assistant walked me to the front and gave me a refund. I didn't want a refund. The partial broke after 2 weeks. I wanted it repaired. I will never refer anyone there or ever step foot back in their practice. I want to speak to an administrator.

I have been wearing dentures my entire adult life. Broke my bottom plate and went to Affordable Dentures in Towson, Maryland on Tuesday to get a new set made. The bottom plate is rubbing the back of my gum so today Thursday I went to office to get an adjustment. I was told that they couldn't see me until Monday at 11:30. I cannot chew and just wearing this lower plate is painful. I would advise anyone that needs dentures go somewhere else. What good is a place like this when they can't help their patients. Also they say their hours are 8 am to 5 pm. They don't answer phone from 12 noon to 2 pm. They are at lunch.

Had 2 teeth pulled and a full set of premiere denture set. They take your money right away. You sit around for the whole day and they rush to give you the denture and yell at you when you say they do not fit right. Been back a couple time and still do not fit right. Was told to glue my dentures. Was asked if I wanted a nice smile or to eat with them, because I could not have both! The top teeth has no suction whatsoever and the bottom are so big there is no room for your tongue. You cannot talk and my mouth is now full of sores. I told them I want my money back and they also needed to refund my Delta insurance as well so I can go get a new pair done, by someone who can make and fit them right. Was told that I needed to return the dentures and sign paperwork and it could take months to get a full refund if they decide it was in warranty.
The premiere denture set looks like a bad reject of their economy. Some very thick high spots and some very thin see through spots. The teeth are about a 1/4 longer on one side. They do not line up whatsoever! Yes... Schneider ** is very gentle when pulling teeth and yes he does a try in and makes sure they look and feel right before they make them and then you never see him again. And then that is when the evil starts. His dental assistants become witches. They become evil and rude. They tell you they don't think you want teeth and you are being difficult. They tell you that you just don't know how to wear dentures, and they are new just glue and get use to them. (I have worn dentures for over 12 years. I think I know how they should feel and how to wear them as well.) They refuse to listen on how they fit and then when you ask to see the dentist again they tell you he has left and he did his job and take your dentures and leave.
Save yourself a lot of time and money. See a real dentist who treats you as a human being instead of cattle. This is how it works. Sign in (7:45-8 am) and there is about 10-20 at a time. They take an impression. Pay the bill. Sit and wait for 3 hours. Do a try in (11 am -noon). Wait for another 3-5 hours. Get crap teeth that do not fit or even look like what you tried on pushed out the door. You will be there from 7:45 am until after 5 pm depending where you are on the list.

I went to Affordable Dentures to get a top plate in Anderson, SC. They were recommended to me. I tried on the first ones they made and they literally fell out of my mouth! They took more impressions and I had to go back several days later. Well this plate was horrible! They weren't lined to fit my bottom teeth correctly and they are so thick that I cannot talk correctly. They make my mouth poke out because of the thickness of them. I have tried to wear them since April when I got them and every time I chew, I bite my cheeks.
I am very dissatisfied with the poor quality of these teeth. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford another pair or to keep making trips to Anderson SC. I have called you once and I was sent back to Anderson. My trip was no better except that they didn't fall out of my mouth. I have made 3 trips there and I'm upset to know that the workers there don't seem to know what they are doing. I am deeply sadden to know that your company does business this way. I will not recommend anyone to go there. I have a huge pair dentures that I just wasted my money on because I surely cannot wear them. Thanks for your time.

Purchased the premiere denture set - Upper full and lower partials. Within a few weeks I lost the front tooth on the top. Dr ** was working at two offices. When I got there he was gone and another dentist fixed the tooth. Crooked but there. I went to San Diego on vacation and ate a flauta and broke my bottom partial in half. When I returned home I went to the Florin office and a lousy repair lasted an hour. I then went back to Roseville and was told I needed to upgrade to metal for $535.00 more. I paid for the next to best in the first place. Now I had to pay way more that may not work either. So I said okay. The next day I was contacted and told I had to pay $50.00 more because I had a coupon first and it wasn't good for redo. No way. Cancelled.

I went to Affordable Dentures in Hillard, Ohio. Had my uppers made, which they call them healing teeth. Worn them for a year before getting my permanent teeth which I got the 825.00 package. I got my permanent teeth in 2012. I just was eating pizza and my dentures broke right in two... I call them and they only had a year guarantee on them. You mean that dentures are not guaranteed to last but only 2 1/2 years for that much money???

I saw Patricia **, DMD, General Dentist on 8/5/2015. I came in at 7:30 to get molds taken, and came back to get my teeth pulled in the afternoon. I paid the extra fee of 197 dollars for Nitrous Oxide. She never gave me any, I was getting air only, the mouth/nose piece wasn't attached to me. It was laying on my face, I said "This isn't attached." She moved it slightly and said she was turning on the Nitrous. I have had nitrous several times and knew I wasn't getting any that day. She starts giving me these painful shots, she is jabbing the roof of my mouth with a needle. Tears coming out my arm went up, she told me to keep my arm down or we could stop the procedure now. I have already traveled to Yuba City twice that day from Chico, I said my arm is down. I tried to mention the nitrous is working and about my scar tissue. She said "Don't argue with me or we can stop this now."
I couldn't believe how rude and unprofessional she was. She ripped all my teeth out pretty quick, my gums are tore up and no stitches. She treated me sadistically. I get home and realize she forgot to pull a bottom tooth. My receipt shows I paid for the removal. I call the office - they didn't know the dr forgot that tooth. I go in for the follow up on 08/07/2015. The doctor's son comes in. I told him that the dr forgot a tooth. She comes in and said she didn't forget it. I wasn't going to argue, she lies to my face. She removed the tooth without even pretending to give me the nitrous. I can't believe she stays in business with her unethical principles. I will never go there again, except to pick up the molds I took.

Tampa, FL - in 2006 my upper teeth were in terrible shape due to neglect after many years of not having dental insurance. I had a friend that had his uppers done in Indiana and recommended them to me. I found them on the internet, called them up & was given the details. Be at the door no later than 7 am, sign in, get exam, x-rays & preliminary workup done, be given an accurate estimate, make decision, go have lunch, come back @ 1 pm, get teeth extracted, have dentures installed, trial & error possible, they would work with me on adjustments. I purchased the Premium Upper package. After extractions the total cost for my uppers was roughly $2500.
I had many difficult extractions & I had been told this by many dentists. The DDS at the Tampa, FL location extracted every upper tooth without me feeling the slightest pain. And I'm a huge wuss at the dentist! After 3 days I was eating steak! I wore my temp denture for 4 YEARS until it broke. I called them up & they said "come in" and get my permanent denture, but I'd have to pay the increase of price from the last 3 years (I was supposed to get the permanent ones within 1 yr), which was a whopping $25! I got my final set in 2010 and they're in incredible shape according to 3 dentists & one at Affordable Denture in Franklin, IN.
Franklin, IN - in 2014 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer. Unfortunately I had a few bad lower teeth and that had caused serious gum & other issues. My doctors recommended I get my lower teeth removed prior to starting treatment because after it started I could not have dental work done under any circumstances and they feared that the treatment would also cause accelerated degradation of my lower teeth. I had all of my lowers now removed in 10/14. After months of chemotherapy & radiation therapy I beat my cancer. In 8/15 I had the opportunity to go and get a consultation at the Franklin, IN location for a lower denture. I went in @ 9 am, got impressions, bite marks, wax bite impressions and an entire workup and was out by 11 am and told to be back no later than 4 pm. I arrived back at 3:30 pm, was called back in minutes, tried my lower in, the tech made ONE adjustment and I went home to eat steak!
Those that have issues with fit is mostly on them. They do not follow instructions when giving impressions or making bite impressions. It's all downhill after that. They're trying to work off of a bad base and it's hopeless after that. I would recommend Affordable Dentures at these two locations to anyone, period. I've had people with dentures 4 times as expensive as mine ask where I got mine because they look so real & natural that they didn't even know they were dentures! I've never had to use denture creams, have adjustments, liners or anything. They hit it 100% on the head, both times, at different locations across the country, almost 10 years apart... I think they are doing something right, at least at these locations.

I had my first set of dentures made at Affordable Dentures in Belmont. I never had a problem and I love them and they lasted me 20 years. In December 2014 I had to get a new set, I've visited the office in Arlington Texas. So this is August and my mouth still hurts and this is the third set that they've had to make for me. They cannot get them fitted correctly. For nine months I have had constant mouth pain with cuts and ulcers on my gums. They tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about which I do, and also you have to make an appointment to get adjustments made. I waited as long as three weeks to get an appointment to get a sore spot fixed. At the Beaumont office you could go in anytime which is very convenient and kept me from having sore places in my mouth. I wish I could go back to the Beaumont office and get these things fixed right once and for all.

I had went to have my upper denture created. Excited because I had waited so long for it.. Well my first one I had to have a temp made, which was ok, had some spots to be corrected! Done those. Still had some issues but they told me it would probably take some time for me to get adjusted to wearing them. And if after two corrections and same office visit they told me I would have to come back next day because TECH had to leave early that day. I drove 3 hrs to get to that visit. So I came home trying to believe they were telling me fact! No.. My family took sand paper and finally got them where I could least wear them. Smh.
Few yrs later I went to another one in Savannah Georgia. I purchased the custom package this time, with same results. I was told the same story that I was told at previous Affordable Dentures. After reading some of these reviews I'm worried and most definitely sure they scammed me with that tech has to leave and I would have to come back another time story... And the denture.. you will not get it to look the way you want. The shade yes!! The look no! The teeth showed through the gum in the dentures. I won't be back unless they change a lot. It's awful. Take advantage of someone trying to save money.

So I paid them $1,000 for the premium package. I went back as I was instructed not once but twice, they proceeded to tell me that I need to have further work done. Which the work I asked them to originally complete, never was completed. Five years later my partial broke. They can't fix it?! So I ask for my money back and I get $495. Meanwhile, I am out my partial and the rest of my money. I will never recommend them for anyone. I guess the saying goes, you get what you paid for. Also there are 295 complaints against this one dentist. Very dissatisfied with getting yelled at because they were having phone issues!!! Never have I ever been treated this way by a so-called professional. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

I started with a Dr. in private practice that gave me, after pulling teeth, a nice upper denture. In the six mo. healing time, he sold to AFFORDABLE DENTURES!! Begin NIGHTMARE! After "try in" of premium dent, and looking like "a BEAVER", asked for money back, was talked into letting them try again. I ultimately stepped up to an ULTRA. Now with a sore mouth they cannot accommodate a ten min. visit, to file them down.
I am leaving state in ten days. It would be 42 days until I can get them fixed. One side of gum is way higher than other side, rubbing terrible. This practice is not worth walking into. I have left out most of the horrible events, would be too many words. But I would avoid this practice. It sounds like a requirement to have no personality to work there. I should have used my own dentist. Would not have been much more money and would have gotten nicer teeth and great service!! It wasn't until I ate the night I got these things that I knew they were this bad. Just saying!!

I've had dentures since I was 21, I'm now 53. My old dentures were worn out so last year I went to Affordable Dentures to have some new made. I picked out the middle set I think they were 750$. When I went back to get them and the tech was about to put them in my mouth I noticed they were so thin I could see through them. I asked him, "are these the same dentures I ordered" and he said "yes". I knew from experience that it might take a little while to adjust to my new teeth. After 3 weeks my lower gums were raw where the edges of the denture dug into my mouth. I went back and they told they couldn't do anything til that afternoon so I waited. Finally got them to work on my teeth but they were so rude and made me feel like it was my fault. Went back 3 more times nothing helps. It's been almost a year I have raw places in my mouth still, cuts on my gums and scars in my mouth from them. Do not use these people.

I have purchased dentures 3 times from this company. The dentist himself has a great bedside manner. The problem is the technicians making the dentures do extremely poor work. I have have 3 different teeth fall out of them. I have not been able to even wear them for a month. I finally wrote him and asked for the situation to be corrected and I have not heard from his office. I really think he has gotten too big and is not checking the work of the people who work for him. How sad for me because he is really a good dentist.

I am a patient at the Ontario office. Dr. Brandon ** was very professional, answered all my questions, and educated me to the pros and cons of my request to have complete lower and upper dentures. I ended up with a complete upper and a partial lower. He advised me that a complete lower would be rough when eating. I wanted the lower because my teeth are crooked and are hard to take care of, and they don't look good. You can't even tell that I only have a partial on the bottom when I smile. I am very pleased with my experience at this office.
The dental assistant was knowledgeable and very friendly, along with the receptionist. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who needs their service. They could have taken more money from me by removing all of my teeth and giving me a complete set, but instead was concerned about my experience with dentures. Prices are reasonable also. My dad has his done at a local dentist office and paid almost double what I did. Don't let all the negativity persuade you to not check this particular office out.

After waiting for several hours, I was given a temporary partial with instructions to return for the permanent one in several months! The temporary one didn't fit properly, however, I live over 2 hours away & couldn't go back right away!
When I received my permanent partial, it also didn't fit & in a little over a year it has broken 4 times! (I also purchased a lower partial which also does not fit.) I refuse to go back there & would like everyone to know that this dental clinic is a rip off, plain & simple! There were many clients waiting with me that had come back due to problems! None of them had anything good to say about the product or demeanor of the employees!!

Upon initial consultation, I was told I would need 7 extractions and would get an upper and lower partial. There was no explanation of how any packages differed. The girl held up a chart and asked if I wanted Premium or Ultra. I told her I wanted Ultra. She worked up a treatment plan (which was full of errors) handwritten prices added to the list, but not computed in the total. They checked me out and that was it. No other explanation of what to expect. I had to ask for instructions... like not eating after midnight, what time to show up, if I needed a driver. ON the day of my procedure, I was given prescriptions to pick up my own sedation meds. The dentist gagged me when making impressions. I was terrified. He then told me he couldn't do a partial on my top because of my bite.
He would have to remove all my top teeth and do a full denture. He agreed to do this at no additional cost because it was his error. (Ultimately what he did was lowered me from Ultra to Custom). When I came back that afternoon for the procedure, I took the Halcion -- which had absolutely no effect on me. The girl at the front desk left to go get a smoothie. The office was empty, ZERO staff there, after she had me take that medicine. Eventually they started, even though the 'sedation' was not working and I was scared to death. He started the shots - extremely painful. Finally it was done. The front desk lady tried to clean my face and because of the meds, it hurt, but she wouldn't stop until I slapped her hand away. She said she couldn't let me leave looking like that.
Came back the next day in severe pain. Nothing done to help. A week later, return for stitch removal and bottom partial placement. The young man who removed my stitches is the only good part of this office. I had to remind the doctor twice that he was supposed to be placing my lower partial. He still couldn't do it. I double checked my plan to be sure I was getting Ultra, only to find that I wasn't. The front office lady was very rude and actually tossed her hands in the air and said she was done and going to lunch -- and she did. Left me standing in the office in tears after she'd told me the doctor swapped me over to the lower plan (without me knowing) and if I wanted the better I could pay for it. On my way home I got a call saying she was upgrading me to Ultra.
When I called to verify what was said the dentist got on the phone and told me he would upgrade to Ultra at no charge, but I needed to be nicer to his staff. I explained that his office lady walked out on me, and then he said he changed his mind he would not upgrade me unless I wanted to pay. Very rude. Very unprofessional. At this point, I am afraid of what I will end up with. The dentist also argued that I was in fact sedated when I clearly was not. I truly feel there's a malpractice suit or some lawsuit somewhere in here. How is this company still in business with so many negative reports?

Simply, my worst nightmare. It's like they are trained to tell you that every time you complain about pain from sharp or rough plastic, or from needle sharp fibers gouging your gums, they would say, "don't worry about it, the pain will go away." Circumstantially, it never did until I would go back again for them to actually attempt to fix the problem(s)! I had my dentures worked on by at least 5 different people. I will bet I had to return around 20 times to resolve issues with their dentures. It took about one year of going back to resolve issues before they told me the free fixes were over. Never went back again, never will.
As far as the dentures, they ended up not being as tight fitting as the prior dentures I had, from a different dentist. The bottoms of my front upper teeth are clear plastic, not white. I have had many friends comment about this. I brought this up many times during the countless times I went back and they tried to tell me everyone's teeth are like that (whatever)! My upper teeth do not line up properly with my lower teeth and my upper teeth are way too far forward from my lower teeth, which makes it very difficult to bite through steak.
They made me pay the whole amount up front before they would even start the dentures. Then, my insurance company sent the money to help pay for the dentures to them, instead of me. That is how Affordable Dentures works with insurance companies (at least mine anyway). Then, it took forever for Affordable Dentures to send me the money which my insurance had sent them. I will never return there to save a few bucks! The anguish, driving time, waiting to be seen time, loss of work time and their supposed finished product was definitely not worth it.

I've read a lot of reviews on this business with most of them being bad about the staff. The staff in rocky gap were very nice and informative to me! The dentist Dr. ** came on was very gentle and scared to death of needles. He was also very informative during the entire procedure. He does not recommend putting dentures over new extractions. He prefers your gums to be healed! They do a impression with your own teeth still on your mouth so your dentures are not going to be perfect but they express this to you over and over again and then you call back to complain when they don't fit properly. They will only fit properly after you heal. Swelling goes down and your gums are measured without your teeth and they tell you that over and over again. Many of the staff do!
I had 19 teeth pulled yesterday and chose not to leave without teeth. That was my choice and even though they tell you they wouldn't recommend doing that they do it so you are not leaving without teeth! I was told adjustments would have to be made, that they might rub sores or be unpleasant in place to come on. They will adjust them for me that they canals them comfortable to where they don't hurt me! Almost all these reviews written complaining was things you were told before your teeth were pulled. If you want dentures that fit go in have them pulled. Wait the 2 months after your so era are closed and go back and leave there with no teeth. That is what they recommend for you to do. If you get dentures the same day don't expect them to fit snug and perfect!
I'm in a lot of pain today but my dentures fit they aren't and my appearance is so much better. If you want celebrity teeth be ready to pay more than 500 for them!! I'm very glad I went and has them done there and ignored your reviews or I'd still have rotten teeth. Thank you Dr ** and staff! The pig lady!

Yes just wanted to share my experience with Affordable Denture in bowling green KY. Had to have full upper and bottoms. First off always start bad and gets better. It was completely opposite for me back at the end of November 2014. There was a lady Dr there and a really sweet assistant that left few months ago. She she sold it all started out great. Teeth turned out beautiful. Time went by about end of December beginning of January had 2 soft liners done by her assistant who did a great job. Well here is where bad comes in. Had called and made a appointment to have some work done on bottoms. Uppers was fitting snug. Took them out night before. Like I said fit snug at top. Bottoms you had to load down twice a day with poligrip paste.
Well next day go in notice the lad that had done my last 2 soft liners wasn't there and there's a new Dr in. So she does a sorry excuse of a soft liner as soon as she put the uppers in. I knew right away they were not going to stay in. Now this is 160 mile round trip for me so I told her. Her reply was "oh it might take a bit to adjust to them." After already having 2 soft liners done I knew what was going on. She goes to the back. Comes back puts them back in. Lil more snug. So on my way back get half way home get this taste. Anyone who wears dentures knows taste. She had put denture powder in where she had messed my liner up. Now I'm angry. Call. Make a appointment. Go in couple weeks later. As soon as I sit down in the new dentist comes on from jump. I try telling him that she messed my soft liner up and that the bottoms were killing my gums. Well already taken 1,000 dollars of my money.
As soon as I said ill-fitting which they always have been at bottom when you have to load a bottom denture down with not powder but paste twice a day in 12 hour period something wrong. So as soon as I say ill fitting he starts running his smart rude mouth about a refund. And my reply was I don't think so. Should of thought of that before taking my money. In all honesty my dentures uppers that is went from snug then after she left within 2 or 3 visits. To him the uppers went from snug to having to use some denture powder to having to soak them with powder then that wouldn't work were he was refusing to do a soft liner correctly to using paste on both my upper and lowers. Not my last visit but the visit before he promised to do a soft liner. Went back last time. "What can I do?" I said "a soft liner like you promised." "Well, I don't think I'm going to be able to help."
I talk about a refund. I said we "you take people's money promising them one thing then do the opposite." Went to front desk. That lady handed me a release agreement for me to get back a refund. Now I'm still wearing my temps. Agrees to only give me 360.00 dollars out of a 1,000. Would have wasted more of my time and money to take them to court. Took refund. Now for anyone that's thinking about any of their packages my advice would be to save lil more money. Go elsewhere otherwise just throwing it away at that office. He is rude. His whole staff is sloppy, and just don't care. Just don't see after all these complaints something has not been done about this company. Can say what they want but fact still remains they're all tied in to affordable dentures. My heart goes out to people who has lost more from this place.

No rinsing, no assistance (the nurse was standing outside the door when I left holding chart looking scared). I almost choked on a tooth that chipped when he was rough pulling one of the wisdoms!!! As an Affordable Dentures customer, I experienced an accident where my Upper Dentures broke on a Saturday. Repeated phone calls to their offices resulted in a recorded message instructing me to be at their office 7:30 AM Monday morning. I arrived to their office & upon sign-in, waited to be spoken to, where the woman who takes care of Admin told me that because I didn't have an appointment I would have to wait - and that there was no "guarantee" that after a certain time, that my problem would even be "addressed" today. I told them I need the dentures repaired today & again she repeated that "there was no guarantee I would be seen today" (and this is at the start of the business day @ 7:30).
Affordable Dentures obviously does NOT CARE about customers who have Emergencies - and the facts are inevitable - there WILL be an emergency requiring either repair or replacement. Affordable Dentures only cares about getting NEW customers and their $$$. Simply pathetic considering this is a business that supposedly is interested in helping the customer's "appearance".

I went to Affordable Dentures in 2009 the first time, I had to have what teeth I had left in my mouth pulled because my dentist said that they were rotting from the inside out and my front incisor was very loose. I already have had this partial plate for several years, so it was time to get something done. My first visit was an all day experience, it was miserable. They didn't go by first come first serve like the sign said. They told me to be there at 7:30 am (but they didn't open the doors until 8:00 am) so there was a line of people there already. I did manage to sign in 3rd and told them what I needed done, the rest of my teeth pulled and a full set of dentures, and I paid for the most expensive set so I could get unlimited fittings.. had to pay for everything upfront. Cost was $2,400, first after a couple of hours they took impressions, then said be back in the office by 2 pm.
I had to travel a good hour away from home to get there and now they want me to stick around town for the next 4 hrs... well I got back at 1:30 pm, hoping to get called in back to get my teeth pulled. 4:15 pm I was finally called back to get my teeth pulled. I got my immediate dentures and they didn't fit very well, they said I didn't need to use anything like powder or glue to hold them in. Well, they were put in my mouth while the gauze was still in there... of course you don't need glue when your mouth is stuffed with gauze. They told me to come back in a year to get my permanent dentures... I asked them "could I come back and get the temporary ones adjusted". They said "no". It was the permanent ones that I get the unlimited adjustments... So I went home, after a few days my gums were so sore where the dentures had made sores because they were jagged and sharp...
I called and asked could I get them fixed and they said they could not do anything about it, I would have to wait until I got the permanent ones. So I waited a year, went back to get the permanent dentures... Still had to wait from 7:30 am until 5:00 Pm to get them... around 9:00 am they took the impressions, and at 4:30 pm I was called back to have them in my mouth... They were awful!!! They were crooked. The middle line that is supposed to match up with that crease between your nose and upper lip was way, way off. That line was on the side of my mouth... I showed it to them and they said it was all in my head... I told them I was not leaving until they made me another set because that was ridiculous to sit there all day long and have results like that. Because it was closing time they told me I would have to come back the next day. I was furious... but since I already paid and they don't give refunds, I went back the next day.
They took me right back this time... made new impressions, and then after a few hours I was able to get the dentures in. Guess what? They were crooked again... I told them I was not paying for that and it was horrible that they were trying to sell me a set of dentures that were crooked... so they said they would make me another set but I would have to pay for it... I blew up...
I told them, "Look, I paid for the most expensive set of dentures you make here, it comes with unlimited adjusting. First they have to fit right, they have to look real and I am not leaving until they get it right and I am not paying for another set". So they made one more set, they again were crooked but not as noticeable like the first 2 sets. I had to go back 3 more times for adjustments... It totally is not worth the hell you have to go through to get a set of dentures... now I need a new set. It's been 5 years now and the ones I do have are way too big for my mouth and I have no idea where to go. But not Affordable Dentures, that is for sure...

I more than one time went to Affordable Dentures in Charlottesville, Virginia. When they made my new teeth, I was thrilled but since mine was in such bad shape, the nurse told me not to throw mine away. They had been hurting my mouth for long time due to the dentures. I wish she had been honest and told me that she was worried if I threw the teeth out that what happened before would happen again. Homeless? Maybe or just my roommate and my relatives being mean? My dentures that had been fresh made was stolen and I found myself with the same pair that I had thrown away in the Dollar Tree trash can.
In this area, they are always looking through trash cans for food to eat due to lack of police arresting the local female drug dealers who prey on UVA students to say the least. They arrest men right much but due to the habit, loss of jobs and loss of house happens more often than it should. It seems several people follow me from Dr. ** office but was trying to not be paranoid. I am on Social Security and cannot afford to have my dentures stolen. My own family has same problem, stepmother's addictions always trespassing, taking things. Please do not take this lightly. Breaking around here happen even when residents are awake at home.

I am a medicaid patient. I feel as though I was not treated as well as others because of this. The staff was friendly. The dentist, not so much. When she gave me 2 shots that slid under my upper lip into both nasal cavities, she told me not to yell as not to scare the other patients. I didn't yell but it was excruciating and she did not warn me before hand that it was going to be so painful. Then when it was time to pull my teeth, she came in alone. She let the blood pool up in the back of my throat with no suction. She then told me to stop gargling because I was spewing blood out all over me and her! I had 11 teeth pulled at once. I could smell the blood and hear the cracking and I started shaking uncontrollably.
I finally had to push her hands from my mouth and ask for a break. She had no compassion at all. The final 2 teeth to come out is when she decided to get someone to suction my mouth. I almost threw up. I could hear them in the room next to me, (after my butt in hell), offering a non medicaid patient juice because he wasn't feeling well. Not once did anyone come to my room and ask if I was ok or how I was feeling. One person did come and take my pulse monitor from my finger and said he needed it for someone else and she would bring it right back. I never saw her or my pulse meter again.
I laid in a room by myself for 45 minutes with no one checking on me. I have never experienced anything like this before. I am traumatized. I am shaking as I relive what happened and writing this down. My husband went to AD and paid cash. They rubbed his gums with a topical anesthetic before the shots. I know I was not treated the same due to my financial position.

My first experience was in 2006 at Rocky Mount Va. The extractions were very rough and the temporary plate was hideous. When I went back for my permanent plate the lab tech, who made my plate, came out to talk to me and asked how I would like the shape to be. I told him I would like the teeth a little bigger so they didn't look like chiclets. He was the only good experience I have had with any AD employee and the plate he made was really pretty.
In 2009 I had to get teeth removed for a bottom plate, while I was there I wanted a reline on my top. They totally ruined my good plate, the front teeth now sat to the right of my mouth. They assured me that If I came back they would replace it. At this time I had returned to the northern part of the state but made the trek back there to get my new plate. It looked as bad as the first hideous one I had. I complained and so they sent it back with the new lab guy talking about a blue plate special and having a big laugh. We all know a blue plate special means leftovers...
The plate I had to accept was not good and nothing like what I had. In a few years I saved enough money to replace the upper plate so I ended up in Winchester Va. I paid over 900.00 for a plate that was crooked, the teeth didn't match and it was really heavy. I think that after holding the impression in your mouth for an extended time and pressing around in there the gums are a little swollen so you can't tell how loose they are right away. They were so hateful about the plate, it was of course my fault with my messed up mouth that they couldn't make them fit better. I pointed out that my ugly plate still fit ok and then was basically told that they wouldn't see me again.
Let me end this rant with a thought... If I owned a business and my employees were as rude and condescending as the people at Affordable Dentures, they would be looking for work... maybe they are trained that way.

Four months ago I had low teeth extraction and received low dentures from the Affordable Dentures in West Palm Beach paid by my dental insurance. From the beginning impressions were done wrong, that resulted in wrong biting, wrong set-up and absence of articulation between upper and lower teeth. Dentures don't fit and Poligrip doesn't help. All those months I cannot chew and am in a lot of pain. I was in the office 5-6 times (each visit 100 mi), but they were not able to fix the problem.
In April they offered me to do permanent dentures for out of pocket cost $1,700. After a serious conversation they agreed to reline my temporary dentures after July 24, 2015. I consulted with other dentists and they confirmed that in my case relining cant help. Need to underline that no one time the doctor spoke to me, all explanations were coming from technicians.

Several years ago I went to Affordable Dentures in Tallahassee, FL. I requested to have my teeth pulled and to obtain a set of dentures. The dentist talked me into keeping 2 lower teeth, stating people often have trouble with the lower denture staying in place, etc. What he said made sense to me and he offered to provide me another lower denture at no cost if I lost those bottom 2 teeth. I purchased the top of the line dentures they offered at the time. Circumstances dictated I move from the Tallahassee area and relocated to Miramar Beach, FL. Two of the teeth broke off the upper denture, teeth located above my natural 2 teeth that were left. On a return trip to Tallahassee, I took my denture in their office to get it repaired. They could not see me that day and I would have to leave my denture for a couple of days to get the repair. That was not satisfactory to me.
I attempted to super glue the teeth back on. One has stayed the other will not. Over this period of time it appears my lower gum has shrunk and the natural teeth are now 1/8 to 1/4 inch above the denture. Every time I bite down it contacts those teeth and pushes them. I can barely eat now and it is extremely painful. Biting down has pushed the teeth outward and now they are very loose. There is not an Affordable Denture near me now. There are two that are probably around 50 miles away and the one in Tallahassee is about 2 1/2 hours away. I am in the process of contacting them today but I desire and expect same day service.
Update: I contacted the Tallahassee office of Affordable Dentures and spoke with **. She verified I had my teeth extracted and dentures made 4 years ago and it is in my record that yes they will make me another bottom denture at no cost as I purchased a package. She advised me to contact the nearest office to me and they would fax the info back and forth and I would be able to obtain a new lower denture at no cost. I contacted the Panama City office to get an appt. and they stated they would not provide a lower denture at no cost. It would be $110 for consult w/ x-ray, $95-145 per extraction and $645 for the lower denture. They stated the offices are individually owned and they would not honor the package from the Tallahassee office. I currently cannot chew and so am eating only soft items and I am in a lot of pain. Needless to say I am not a happy camper.

My background includes 30 years as a health-related professional. My experience, overall, with the Asheville office was shocking in the way I was treated by their staff including the dentist. I received new dentures in January, 2014. Upon checking out, I was asked for payment in full and I offered a coupon valued at $350.00 to the staff person. She rudely stated "The coupon has expired (December, 2013)." I asked if there was one currently available and she said she had no idea (an absolute lie).
I immediately went to their website on my smartphone and found the identical coupon for 2014. I informed this woman and she said she needed a copy for my file. I asked if she would please print it for me and she said she had other things to do. I asked, upon leaving payment-in-full, if I could bring the coupon in the next day, would they allow the $350 credit. She summoned Dr. ** to ask about this credit, she hesitated a few moments while glaring at me, then huffily said "Fine!"
After the initial fitting, I left and got into my car and began to chew a piece of Doublemint gum. I immediately noted that every bite on the right side caused the upper denture to "pop". I went right back into the AD office to inform the young man who had fitted them and he casually stated the new dentures would adjust, so I left.
The problem persisted so I returned with the same complaint a few days later. A female did some filing or something and the upper denture seemed a little bit better but still popped loose. The young man called in Dr. **, office Principal, came in and listened to my description, then stated "Maybe you should just go back to your old dentures then," seemingly, stormed out!
I went back one more time for the same issue, a bit more "filing" and with the same result, so I had to begin using "goo" on the upper denture for it to work properly [NOTE: I used my previous dentures from Aspen Dental, MA, for over 10 years and never, never had a problem with the fit of the upper denture]. The next (and major) issue then began; chewing gum and other materials would stick and build up between the individual teeth. Since I chew gum a lot, this was a major problem. Given that my prior dentures never had a problem of this sort and, knowing Affordable Dentures would not redo them (They refused to redo the upper to fix the "rocking" problem), I tolerated this issue until October at which time I contact the Patient Services person with my issues.
I repeated my contacts to her several more times and finally made contact in April, 2015. She spoke with the Asheville office, then called me back the next day (a Friday) to inform me that, upon return of the dentures (the ensuing Monday), I would receive a refund [Let's see, were they hoping to make me go toothless? Ha, it didn't work. I began using my previous dentures over the weekend and they are fine and dandy!]. I returned the gum-laden dentures to AD on Monday and did, indeed, get a full credit to my credit card account. Now, I just hope it processes! All-in-all, this was the most horrible, humiliating, shabby treatment I have ever experienced in my entire 72-year life. I found this site far too late!

I have had this upper denture for approximately 4 years! I had to have the same tooth put back in twice. Then a month or so after that the plate on the other side cracked. I had bought the ultra Denture, the highest price one they had. They charged me 103.00 for the first repair. This time they wanted 120.00 to repair it. When they adjusted the right side where the tooth came out twice, they didn't check the bite on the other side. The bottom tooth was hitting the plate on the left side. I know that is what caused them to break. If they had checked it when they repaired the right side, I believe it would not have cracked! I am very dissatisfied with their service! I will never go to them again! I did not pay them to repair them this time! After all their repairs have to be done all over again! I told them that I would pay another Dentist to repair them before I would let them keep ripping me off!

We were sold a set of dentures that were the second best they had to offer. Within 3 months one of the back tooth's broke off. After leaving it overnight they glued the tooth back on. Now during the entire process, the dentures never fit correctly, and we were told that the gums would heal and everything would be OK. Two months later while eating an ice cream cone, one of the front teeth chipped off. We returned to be told that it would cost $100 to fix the tooth, after we had paid over $700 for the dentures six months ago. We could not afford the cost to fix the denture, and lo and behold the same back toothy broke again. Once again we could not afford the fix and were told that most probably they would have to replaced for an additional $700.
This company is an absolute zero in our book and should be charged for false advertising, as their warranty was misleading and wrong. The staff was rude and for the most part very unprofessional. I would recommend that everyone stay away from Affordable Dentures, as they are hacks and liars. We give them the lowest rating available and if there were a way, we would want all of our money back. We now have a new dentist and are starting over. Being on a fixed retired income, Affordable Dentures has hurt us financially terribly. Whatever you do, stay far away from Affordable Dentures.

I returned and the same thing happen. NOT one staff person tried to help me calm down. They again wanted me to return to my physician for another follow-up, (expense again). I left and found a referral from my physician and went and had NOT one problem with anxiety or blood pressure. At the end of my procedure and paying my bill, I found out that Affordable Dentures did NOT contact my insurance on the cost, that they were DOUBLE charging me for what the insurance would have paid. I had broke my upper partial and my bottom was worn. I went to Affordable Dentures (Asheville, NC) to have the upper and lowers made new. I wanted the best set and the cost was about $3500. But the dentist told me that all my teeth would have to come out. He said they were loose and when he made the impression the mold would probably pull them out. This was going to add about another $1500 to the bill. So, now I'm looking at about $5000 and they wanted cash (they didn't do insurance billing). I didn't like his attitude or his thinking so I left. I went to Palmetto Dentures in Spartanburg, SC (about an hour drive) and they made me an upper and lower partial the same day with no extractions. They did insurance billing and the total cash payment for me was $550. Affordable Dentures is all about the big sale and not concerned with what is best for the patient.

After numerous attempt for "technician" to pinch wires on sides to try to rig these ill-fitting, entirely too large for my mouth horse teeth that are 3 times larger than my natural teeth - after all that - they scurry me out of the door and tell me to come back another day and they will try to make another set. I drove 2 hrs to get there, spent 5 hrs there and left holding my teeth because they don't fit at all. No amount of Poligrip will help, and no apology - they acted like I was being too picky. This was a very scary time of my life. I was made aware I needed to have ten teeth pulled and dentures made. I'm very fearful of the dentist which made it harder for me to force myself to have the procedure done. But I did, and my first appointment I was told by Doctor ** he would not do my surgery there in his office because he doesn't have time for fearful people. It's too difficult to deal with. This was my first appointment so I let it go and took my referral to another surgeon.
Dr ** told me he would make my dentures though so I made an appointment to have impressions made. Mind you I have ten broken and missing teeth with exposed nerves and swollen gums during this visit. I told the nurse, “My lips split easily in the corners, please pull open slowly.” She didn't and ripped my lips apart and broke the skin and caused me severe pain and bleeding. I let it slide and went on with the visit.
Dr ** came in room and said, “This is a large oversized ball of hot wax you need to bite all the way through until your teeth close.” I knew it was going to hurt with all my broken teeth but I had to do it. As I tried to bite down the pain was so intense I tore up and slowly pressed my teeth into the hot hard wax very slowly. Dr ** stood next to my chair with his hand on his hip saying, "You need to bite down all the way, if you don't bite all way through I can't work with it. Why aren't you pressing all the way down?" Well while he was being mean to me I was steadily trying to bite all the way through, and I couldn't talk because of the wax.
Once I made it through he took the wax out and I said I couldn't bite fast, it was hurting too bad. He walked out. His nurse said, “Well if that hurt then this will really hurt because it's cold plaster.” Again she pulled my lips apart, "rriiippp again", forced the cold tray onto my hot teeth from the wax immediately and sent excruciating pain through my face and mouth again while my lip continues to bleed. After the impressions I was told to return to try the temporary ones.
When I returned to try the teeth the nurse popped the top denture in then she popped in the bottom which I immediately jumped out of my skin because there was something very sharp on the bottom partial which was cutting into my flesh under my tongue. The nurse said, “Bite down” and I said, “I can't, it hurts really bad here, let me show you.” I held the partial and showed her the hard sharp piece that hadn't been filed down that was cutting me. She said "Oh okay hold on." She took it to Dr ** and he shaved something down and she came back and put it back in my mouth and I jumped in pain again because the doctor must have shaved and fixed the wrong spot. So I took it out again she left the room again.
Few minutes later she returned with ** and he walked in the room and said to the nurse "What's the problem? I am only in here to discuss the color and size of the teeth nothing else!" Then they walked out of the room again. Moments later they walk back in and Dr ** says to me, “My office manager will be in here in a moment to walk you to the front and issue you a refund. We will not serve you in our office any longer!" I was issued a refund with no explanation and told to leave. This is the most unprofessional doctor and office I have seen.
I'm actually still in shock by the way I was treated and how horrible the doctor behaved. He was angry at me because I was in pain and I can only guess he didn't want to take the time with me that I would need because my situation with my teeth was very extensive? I'm not sure exactly why he was so rude. I was very polite and always paid in full never missed appointments etc. I do not have any idea why I was given my money back and told to leave. There are so many complaints on him for this type of behavior. Why hasn't someone done something to protect the consumer from being victimized by this person?

Just like your schedule should be if you do business with these folks. I'll get to that later...
On my interview/x-ray process I was told everything would be taken care of and there was nothing more to be said about it. The receptionist and doctor re-insured me that I would get everything included with the package I chose. Example: any repairs, adjustments, and even the final dentures that were even customizable were all included for the low price of roughly $2600! There wasn't any implication of time restriction or additional costs. So I said great: sign me up! Next week I came in to get my top teeth removed and replaced with dentures. With my check in hand for the top of the line single set denture plan, I was excited! I must admit they were fast after payment was made to get me and and pull the teeth. I believe over-all process from first meeting to actual teeth pulling was less than 2 weeks. Amazing!
That's about all the good things I have to say... If you're still with me get ready for the bad news...
So the healing process takes time and about 6 months later I walked in (no appointment) and they saw me that day for adjustments to refit the denture. Wait time was roughly 45 minutes. Fast forward 8 months later. Again: no appointment, or payment required. Fairly quick service. Need more adjustments because loose denture and I started seeing cracks on the corners of my mouth. A quick Google search showed one reason was incorrectly fitting dentures. When i asked about this the doctor and assistant both shunned my question saying i shouldn't believe everything i read.
Lets look about 9 months later. No appointment or cash needed. It had been payed for. Now was unbearable, the denture was too loose and i had to get it changed. It was definitely too big and the cracks on the corners of my mouth weren't healing. On more thorough research I found it to be angular cheilitis. So I wasn't taking no for an answer... The assistant agreed and made new ones for me. Excellent!
Fast forward 11 months.... Real issues arise. NOW all of a sudden all people seen are by APPOINTMENTS ONLY! Now I don't expect a memo to be sent or even a letter or phone call. But it's the new age. I'm sure as much money as they make they could spend 200$ on a freelance programmer to create a program and make it text message or email all Panama City clients: Hey Affordable Dentures is now going by appointments only! Sorry for the inconvenience of making you drive 30 miles to find this out yourself if that's you! =P O.K. that one was stretching... anyhow...
So yep: I'm stuck with my dentures because I am a nice guy and didn't want to bother them, because I know they are busy folks. If you've ever been there, they always have people in the lobby waiting to be seen. I've probably only been to that office, including first exam, 8 times. I never broke my dentures or caused any excess out of pocket cost for them. I only did mandatory walk-ins as needed.
Now they will not give me my finals that have already been promised and paid for. They are saying there's a time limit now that was never explained or ever seen in my contract by neither my wife nor me. They say I paid for a 3 year term, yet they sometimes give people up to an extra 6 months if the doctor approves this. That last statement is straight from the receptionist up front, and I'm sure others have heard this: Which validates my entire story. I've tried to be patient with these folks, now I'm taking matters into my own hands and I hope this helps someone else out there that may be interested in doing business with these folks.
Have a great day!

My appointment was an exam, x-ray, and consultation for first time upper denture. The dental assistant came in and took me to x-ray. She took some notes on my comments. We discussed the costs of packages and explained the immediate denture is the same for everyone and upgraded packages could be determined at a later date. The extractions would cost 100 to 150 each. In order to get estimate she looked in my mouth and counted 8 teeth. I corrected her and pointed out that I had a 4-spaced bridge but there were only two teeth under the bridge so the estimate should be for 6 extractions. She looked at the x-ray and shook her head and said it looks like 8. I, David, am 100% sure that I have 6 teeth. She said I have to put what I see and the Dr. will be the one who changes that, which made no sense at all.
So then she picked a model jaw and started explaining how bone loss works and said need lower dentures too. Twice I had to tell her to stop. I felt like this was a hard sell at a used car shop and what she was saying seemed rehearsed. I asked to have my boyfriend in there. So when he came back she started to explain it all again and just like before read the estimate out loud. I was feeling very stressed about this experience. When I heard her tell my boyfriend the dollar amount, which hadn’t changed even after I told her I had 6 teeth to extract. She was very dismissive of me and focused on Donny who was inquiring about top quality package.
Her explanation why the estimate was 300.00 more than it should be wasn’t registering with Don and he was agreeable with her though she wasn’t being clear. I had a sinking feeling in my gut that something was wrong and I was a bit panicked and she wasn’t helping at all and Donny was all ears, listening to every word and I felt placated and dismissed even though I was right. Then the Dr. came in and she and Donny left the room. When I told the dentist the estimate was wrong and why he looked in my mouth and counted 8 teeth and wiggled my broken bridge said, “Ok but you’re probably not going to be happy about my suggestion. But I think the bridge should be removed right now because you could choke on it or inhale it.” I said, “No way am I leaving here with no front teeth.” Then he started reading the file with his back turned to me for several minutes. I was absolutely getting a weird vibe. Then he left the room. I went out and waved to Donny to come back in. Previously he suffered to the judgment of the nurse but I could tell by the look on his face that he was getting the same vibe.
So the nurse came back in to wrap it up and I asked her what the corrected estimate was and snotty like said, “It’s not going to change. You have 8 extractions,” and that’s when she took out the x-ray and started pointing and saying the name of each tooth and counting out loud in frustration. That’s when I noticed the x-ray was upside down and reversed and I said, “Are you kidding me? Affordable Dentures Hillview KY - I went there to have dentures made. I was going somewhere else to have my teeth pulled because I had to be put to sleep for them to be pulled. I ended up with my temporary dentures. Before I could go back and get the permanent ones, I got sick. And then I started averaging going to the hospital at least once a week up until April 15, 2011 when my insurance finally approved surgery for a gastric stimulator to get my illness straightened out. I called and asked them if I could come get my permanent denture. The Dr. that had made the impressions had retired and sold out to someone else, they'd have to check with that dr. They called me back and said since it had been so long the Dr would not Honor the contract that I had with the other DR.
Now I want my money so I can go somewhere else and get them, because when I wear these for very long they give me a headache. And so far they have said no. Well it wasn't my fault I got sick and couldn't come up there. It's about an hour drive from my house to get there. I was home on a feeding tube and IV meds which made it hard to go anywhere, and I was throwing up all of the time. I just want my money back so I can go somewhere else. I'm fed up with being treated like a second class citizen because I was ill. THIS IS TOTALLY AWFUL TO BE TREATED THIS WAY!!!!!

I had 5 extractions and will need 2 more that AD won't extract. I will have to find a dentist to do the extractions. Currently I'm a patient of AD. I had a partial the same day. I was 3 days of pain that required ibuprofen 3 times a day. It has been 5 days and now I feel much better and I'm healing nicely. The provisional partial denture quite difficult to wear and or eat. Having my partial relined in 2 days and hoping it makes them more comfortable. So far out of 5 stars I give them a 2.5. I pray its goes well with my final partials. Also they do have a customer satisfaction policy. I hope I'm satisfied with end result. Time will tell.

My friend was scheduled for an 8:30 tooth extraction. Arrived 15 min early and had a seat in the freezing waiting room. Staff was less than courteous. Waited until 9:30 while all the patients who arrived at the same time as myself were taken back. Asked how much longer it would be as I had been in the waiting room over an hour. Was told they were doing their best and my friends chart was "in the bin". Around 9 am about 6 more patients had arrived and by 10 am all of those patients had been called back as well. My friend went to the desk to ask how much longer as the waiting room had been cleared twice now and a third load of patients was arriving. Again they stated that his chart was "in the bin".
The front desk staff was rude stating that we didn't understand how the process works. I would like to mention that I work at a Physician office and rarely does a patient scheduled for 8:30 wait past 10 just to be called back. And in the instances where the physician is running behind the patients who are having to wait extended amounts of time are notified that this is the reason they are waiting so long. Finally around 10:30, they called my friend back. I got up to go with him. The dental assistant stated that they had limited space and that I could not come back with him.
I stated that my friend has panic attacks especially with needles and since he was having an extraction, I had accompanied him today to be by his side and help him feel safe. I mentioned that I did not need a lot of space and I would be fine to just stand. She refused to let me go back with him and told me to have a seat. She said they would call me back if they needed me. Consequently, my friend had a full blown panic attack when he was getting the numbing agent injected and was injured badly. At no time, did they call me back. I would not recommend this office to anyone and am in the process of a lawsuit that will hopefully put this horrific place out of business so that no one else should ever have to endure their unprofessional uncaring Office.

I had gone to AD a few years ago to have a set of dentures made and the dentist made me a set that I just loved and looked more like my real teeth. They looked a lot better than the ones I had gotten in Dallas and payed a few thousand dollars to a "denture specialist". I hated those dentures, they were horrible. When AD came along I was thrilled that I could finally afford a new pair and like I said, I loved the ones she made for me. When it was time for me to go back and get them relined, she was gone and an older man relined them. When I looked at the top ones they were off center and he got very rude about it and would not correct them. I was devastated that he ruined my beautiful dentures and so I took them home and corrected them myself.
After that I went to another dentist because I had insurance and they did the same thing. My top ones were off center so bad it looked like I had suffered a stroke, according to my friends and family. They did fix them. I still have insurance at this time but I decided to go back to AD because of the affordable snap on dentures. The dentist was rude and very loud when he spoke and tried to talk over my head about the procedures but I understood him. He told me he would refer me to the dentist they use for that procedure and I could pick up the referral from the receptionist on the way out. Then she told me they mail them out on Friday 10/31/14, it was 10/29/14 (Wednesday). IF she mailed it on Friday I should have gotten it on 11/1 or 11/3. I called on 11/5 and told her I had not gotten it yet and she said she mailed it. I called again on 11/7 and she said, in a snide voice, "you should be getting it any day now".
Well here it is 11/11/14 and I have still not gotten the info. She lied to me 3 times and I'm not sure why. Apparently the dentist, Andrew **, told her not to send it. I was never rude or angry with them so I don't know what their problem is. I was going to pay cash for the snap on dentures and plus my husband was going to make an appointment there because he needs one denture, partial and teeth extractions. I wouldn't let Affordable Dentures clean my dogs teeth.

At 8 am I went in to have 20 teeth extracted, both upper and lower. The dentist pulling my teeth had absolutely no bedside manner at all and actually got pissed off and left the room because I had tears rolling down my cheeks after about 10 teeth were out. He was as rough as possible and treated me as if I were on an assembly line for extractions. He came back in the room about 5 minutes later and started pulling the rest of my teeth out. I just sucked it up and tried to be strong to get it over with. A tech came in and gently put gauze in my mouth and told me to come back after lunch to pick up my temporary set of dentures which I did. It wasn't long into my day I could feel all the "sore spots", so I called and told the receptionist and she told me to stop in the next day and they would file the spots down to be more comfortable. I ended up being in their office a few times a week to have the dentures filed down repeatedly.
About 5 days into wearing my dentures, I was told I had a few severe abscess in my mouth. The receptionist came in to my surprise, asked me to give him my teeth after he looked in my mouth to see where they were rubbing so he could file them and I asked if one of the techs could please do it. Well, he was very insulted and told the other workers as well as the dentist there that I hit him!! The dentist called me later that day and told me I would no longer be seen in their office because of my behavior! Now, I have to drive over an hour to get my realigns, etc but at least they are very nice there at the new office. I am currently waiting on my final pair to come back from the lab and I am praying everything goes OK. I would never refer anyone to the Burns, TN Affordable Dentures.

I had all my teeth extracted by Affordable Dentures in Vestal, New York in September 2012. I paid over $5,500 for the extractions and the best dental package that they offered. They didn't accept insurance so it was all out of pocket, and had to be paid in full up front in order for them to provide me with their service. I signed a paper stating that I agreed to their policies. I was told that because of all the extractions I had done that it could take a year to 18 months for my gums to heal, that I would have teeth and bone still come through the gum after the extractions were done. I was told that the molds for my permanent set of dentures would be made after my gums were completely healed. I went back two or three times to have the liners replaced in the dentures I received the day of my extractions. I was told that if needed to come back to have the liners replaced again that they would start charging me $100.00 for the visit and liner, because I was only allowed 3 free visits after my teeth were extracted. I told them then that I couldn't afford that and I wouldn't be back until my gums were healed for the molds to be made for my permanent set.
Fast forwarded to May 2014. I still had bone and teeth coming through my gums. So I called Affordable Dentures and told them what was going on and said I just want to have the molds made for my permanent teeth. She asked my name and asked me to hold then another woman got on the phone and said, "YOU WENT PAST THE 18 MONTHS THAT YOU ARE ALLOWED TO WAIT TO GET YOUR PERMANENT SET OF DENTURES ". I said, "Excuse me I was told that I shouldn't get the molds made for the permanent set until my gums completely healed." I also said that I was still having bone and teeth coming through my gum. Her response was, "If you were having problems then you should have contacted the office." I replied back saying that at my last visit I had asked again how long it would take my gums to heal, she replied it could take up to 12 to 18 months sometimes longer. She said, "You had all your teeth extracted so you will probably take longer."
I also told her again that I couldn't afford to pay $100.00 every time I needed to come back. I also said why would I come back to have the molds made when my gums were not healed yet? She said, "Well you signed the paper stating that you would get your permanent set in 18 months." I replied back to her, "SO BECAUSE I STILL HAVE BONE AND TEETH COMING THROUGH MY GUMS AND EVEN THOUGH I PAID IN FULL FOR THE PERMANENT SET, I CAN'T HAVE MY PERMANENT SET OF DENTURES?" She said correct. I said that I didn't remember that I had to pick up my permanent set by 18 months and why couldn't they have called or sent a reminder that "HEY IF YOU WANT YOUR TEETH YOU NEED TO GET THEM BY MARCH OF 2014". She replied by saying, "It's not our responsibility to remind anyone." I told her that it was wrong and that I wanted my money or my teeth. And that I would be taking them to court. She said that's fine.
I sent in a complaint to the Better Business Bureau soon after and still nothing is resolved. I haven't had any teeth in over 2 years and I can say that it has taken my gums over 24 months to heal. "I JUST WANT MY TEETH OR MY MONEY BACK THAT I PAID FOR THE PERMANENT SET, WHICH IS OVER $ 1,700". So if there is anyone that can help me get my teeth or money it would be greatly appreciated.
I wish I had read the complaints about Affordable Dentures before I had my teeth extracted. I didn't remember that I only had 18 months and I wish that I had. It is not right. I paid in full for my permanent set of dentures and I am being penalized for not remembering. And it was only 2 months after the 18 months. You would think they would give people a break and understand that not everyone can remember that "OKAY IT'S SEPTEMBER OF 2012 I HAVE UNTIL MARCH OF 2014 TO GET MY TEETH". THE ONLY THING I KEPT THINKING OF IS WHEN ARE GUMS GOING TO BE COMPLETELY HEALED SO I CAN HAVE TEETH AGAIN. They don't care who they rip off!!!!

I took my friend there three times to have them fixed and she gave up. Some of the staff was pleasant, but they seem to be put out when there is a legitimate concern about fit, pain, bite, etc. A huge waste of money and time. It will now cost much more to fix the damage that was done to the dentures by the Sioux City office. We would definitely NOT recommend.

If I am giving someone my life saving I can ask a question. He appeared to be very arrogant African man and the staff there except for a young black girl have a terrible attitude. All I asked was that they buff that ridge down and fix the pin hole. I was told they had to do another impression which they did. Where to begin? I went to the Daytona Beach office to get an upper denture after extraction of all upper teeth. I purchased the premium package and everything seemed fine after the initial visit to do the extractions and place the immediate denture. Shortly after I started noticing that something just didn't feel right about the immediate. Just didn't seem to fit right. I kept going back and forth (about 45 min. drive each way) about every 2 weeks until I got the permanent denture. Same thing after the permanent, something just wasn't right, I kept going back and telling them it didn't fit right, that something was wrong.
Finally on my last visit there, the dental assistant (NOT THE DENTIST) says to me "Honey, you will never get a denture to fit properly because you have a torus on the roof of your mouth." Needless to say I didn't even know what that was. Went home, researched and found out it is a hard bony growth that NEEDS to be removed. That dentist should have informed me of that BEFORE he pulled all my teeth. Evidently I have had the torus most of my adult life but never really noticed it or was bothered by it until the need for a denture.
I never went back there and finally went to a wonderful dentist who guided me through the entire process of working with an Oral surgeon to remove the torus and my dentist making me a new denture. They both said that dentist should have NEVER pulled my teeth without informing me of the torus issue. Seems to me that all Affordable Dentures is concerned with is making a quick profit. If you need dentures my suggestion is to save until you have enough money to see a reputable dentist and get the job done right the first time.

My Dentist handled my complaint in a VERY professional way She turned a horrible experience into a very pleasant one, I have a denture that is as comfortable as a denture can be, and it even looks good! I have never had such a good experience in a Dentist office. My advice to others going through this is to try and communicate with your Doctor/ Dentist and resolve the problem. Her attitude is Customer Satisfaction GUARANTEED no matter how many times she has to redo a denture. I have never met any provider who has so much compassion for her patients. I now wish I hadn't posted my complaint and am changing it as RESOLVED.

I had my upper teeth removed and was excited to have teeth that no longer hurt when I tried to eat. Going there was the BIGGEST mistake I could have made!!! I paid over $1700 and after going back and making them remake my upper denture it still won't fit! It constantly gags me, won't stay in place. The assistant told me "you need to get the implants." I asked her, "Why would I want to spend another $1900 for something if I am not satisfied now???" She replied, "So you can have teeth again". I am wondering if this is their standard practice? Make lousy fitting dentures so we would be more or less forced to invest in costly implants?
When I went in the office the first time I told the Dr. I didn't want to get stuck with a denture I couldn't wear. I was assured many times that would never happen. Well guess what? I have a denture that I can't wear and am now very paranoid about going out in public looking like this. My husband was going to get dentures also but after what I went through he refuses to go to the same place. How I wish there was an Attorney that could help all of us.

Ok, so what's my refund gonna be? I am told that since the contract was broken Not by me but Dr. ** that my bill would then be an itemized bill. When I got my copy everything that I had had done to that point was a separate charge and I was lucky that I didn't owe them money.

She got attitude and told me doctor absolutely will not see you without full scan x-ray - a $75.00 charge. So after my protests I had x-ray then the dentist comes in and goes straight to that tooth, wiggles it, tells me tooth is mobile so I’ll need to make appointment and come back in and he’ll make me a denture!
Confused I said denture no partial. He informed me he would pull the 7 teeth on top I had and make denture but would not make partial. I already had a partial I got front tooth pulled and needed to put tooth there. He tells me his ethics won’t let him give me partial because tooth budged partial - didn't even attach to that tooth but he would pull teeth and make denture for tune of $1000.00. My money, my mouth, my teeth. How dare he and who did he think I was that he could dictate and deny me my wishes. Then when I go to challenge him, he flew out of the room. Cost me $100.00 for absolutely nothing except tears.
I called my old Affordable in St Joe, asked if I needed full scan x-ray just to get replacement partial. The answer was NO and more than likely if I went there they would make my partial. I’d have to go on a 13 hour ride there and back. I want my teeth and I don’t care what he "thinks". I would have signed release but I was treated like I was beneath the burns my buns and I have nothing nice to say of Beaumont Affordable period. They’re rude and don’t give a crap. I have family photos and event so etc. coming up and I can’t now. I thought customer was always right? I am paying for product I want the way I want it and releasing any and all after walking out door, and I get attitude denial and shelling out 100 for nothing. Still very upset over this. A lady doesn't look very nice when she smiles if her front tooth is gone. So no more smiles. Thanks a lot doc. I won’t recommend you to anyone if I got partial and 3 month later had to get full denture blah, blah that’s my problem.

After going thru nine months with Aspen Dental, who couldn't make any decent looking or fitting dentures, I got a refund. I went to Affordable Dentures. The first day I met Rob, he was very sweet and explained everything. They did my wax try and the next day I was delivered a beautiful set of dentures, something Aspen could not do after 2 temps and 2 try's at perms. I am so happy. I got ten times better fit and look for half the price... highly recommend Affordable in Peoria, IL. Ask for Rob. He is great.

In April of 2014 I went to Affordable Dentures in Boise ID. The staff was very friendly and kind. Did everything right, except explaining the traumatic experience I was about to go through. Sad thing is, once you have gone through it, you can not go back. It's a forever thing. So, months later, I can't get appointments when I need them for adjustments, can't get help in figuring out why my mouth hurts except that "I need to get used to it". Well, I don't want to get used to it. I want to eat and be a bit normal. I can't eat, can't function normally, can't really do anything. But, according to the office staff, "I have my smile back." I had my smile to begin with, so, eating I guess is an option not a necessity.

After reading the guidelines for leaving a review, I don't think I can write one without telling it like it was and possibly some of what I have to say would be considered personal insults on their dentist and staff. I guess I don't know how to write a review. Suffice it to say, do your due diligence before making a decision to use whoever are your potential choices and get everything in writing . Also, make sure you check their work -- like you would with anything you do in life -- don't let anything slide -- it's your health. And, last but not least, you get what you pay for.

I went in Nov. for a consultation. At that time I had already had a full upper denture for 7 years, and a upper partial plate for 5 front teeth 5 years and a upper partial plate for 2 front teeth for 4 years in total I had 3 different upper dental plates. All the dentures I had were great. I never had 1 issue with any of them. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the dentures that I had done at Affordable Dentures. It was a nightmare from the very beginning and it cost me dearly - $3,000.00 and almost a full years. I have a lower partial plate that is broken and has been broken twice and my upper plate is so bad I can't wear them for more than an hour.
Now mind you, they were only to be my temps. But I finally went in for my custom dentures. After the first try in, I was shocked at the way they looked but, I told him what I didn't like about them and he said he would fix them. 3 hours later, I went back for a 2nd fitting and it was unbelievable - they were so horrible. I said, "Mm, I wanted to make another appointment" and I would bring in the older pair I had so he could use them as a guide to the way I wanted them. He told me there is nothing wrong with the 1's he had just did.
I replied, "They make me look goofy as hell" and I said I will just make another appointment. He told me no. I'm done and walked away. I was told I had to go somewhere else and get my dentures. I went to the front desk and said he won't fix me teeth. I thought when you paid for custom dentures, the Dr. Was suppose to make them and does what was necessary to make sure they were what you felt good about. They told me I was getting a refund. From the $3,000 I paid I was returned $1,000. Are you kidding me? I am getting a lawyer and I have decided the best thing to do is to take them to court and not only to get my money back, but to hopefully have them fine and what I would love is for them to fire the Dentist they have staffed. All of the office and back office workers are the greatest, but that dentist is one of the worst I have ever seen.

I guess I'm "lucky" in that I was an experienced dentures wearer when I went to Affordable Dentures in Tampa to get another set. They didn't do any dental work on me, which, from what I've read, is a good thing. The dentures themselves were OK. I had to pay $100 extra for the color I wanted, which is ridiculous. I wanted dentures that would fill out my mouth more than the pair I was wearing at the time, as I'd had a lot of bone loss over the years, but this request was not met. I don't think they know how properly create "cosmetic/specialty" (truly smile-enhancing) dentures. I did keep the set they made for emergencies, but I would not recommend them for your first set of dentures.
Some definite downsides to this practice: All clients had to stand in line for about two hours before the office opened in order to be seen. The office was crowded, cramped, loud, and felt tacky. The staff was OK, but disinterested in pretty much everything going on around them. The dentist wasn't particularly personable, either, and I got the impression (ha!) that he really would rather have been at the beach sipping on a pina colada than doing his job. I didn't feel that he cared about what I really wanted at all; felt like a cog in a machine. A few pros: The dentures are, relatively speaking, affordable.
So, shop around, if at all possible. If $$$ is your determining factor, and you really don't have many options, this may work for you. However, if you can, try to find a better dental practice. This is kinda like the Walmart of dentistry.

With limited fixed income, I was suckered in by Affordable Dentures TV ads. Subsequent to inserting the new denture that was extremely poor fitting and poor looking I was informed by Dr. Michelle ** (rudely) that I would need to wait a few months for my gums to heal. When I returned they did a marginal adjustment and it still looks terrible. I was told if I wanted to pay for a more expensive package they would work on it. Seriously?
Then, at the suggestion of "Dr. Sylvia" I approved a deep cleaning. I had to prepay $220. I have a total of 11 natural teeth; the "deep scaling" took a little over ten minutes and was nothing more than any cleaning I had in the past. I called the corporate office. They said, effectively, "too bad, we can't help you." I explained that I only wanted the difference between a standard cleaning and the price of this travesty. To make a long story short, I now need to go to a real dentist to get properly fitted dentures.

I wish very much I've seen this Web site before I went to Affordable Dentures to have my teeth very brutal ripped out of my mouth. The "doctor", and I use that word loosely, did nothing to round off the bones that he "broke" or the pieces of broken teeth as he broke every one of my teeth in the procedure. I have gone back every week since and get the same story. "It's normal, some people have bone spurs." I told him the last time I went he didn't do the alveoloplasty at all. He claims that he did but I know better - I was there. He didn't even rinse my mouth out with water. He rudely stuffed the BS Temporary dentures in and walk out of the room.
Now today 07/ 24/ 2014. It has been 4 weeks and I still cannot put in the lower dentures yet. There is a huge bone sticking out on both sides of my mouth... Don't bother calling the corporate office. They do nothing but call the doctor and make you an appointment. You can do it yourself. I did but they refuse to do anything about it! I'm stuck as I paid in full up front. Big mistake!!! Now I can only pray my mouth heals by itself. Or pay someone else to fix it. I can't afford it. After paying them $8000.00 of which $640.00 was supposed to be for the alveoloplasty that I did not get!!!! I want to sue him. But that's not going to fix my mouth. What to do?? This is my best friend two days after Dr. ** of Affordable Dentures of Shelbyville TN performed an extraction of her top teeth. Of course some swelling and bruising is normal and to be expected. However this amount of damage is NOT normal. How can I say this? I'm not a doctor, I am not a dentist or even a medical professional. But I am not stupid either. I know a horse's ass when I see one. This much damage is not even close to normal. It's heartbreaking and is almost criminal. This level of incompetence is incomprehensible. She trusted the doctor to take care of her. He is a butcher and should not be allowed to treat anyone.
I had the same procedure done at Affordable Dentures and was eating two days later. Many of my friends also had this done and had no problems. How can I say this? Imagine nails in the end of a piece of wood. If you wiggle them gently and pull them straight out there will be very little damage to the wood. Conversely if you rip the same nails out, the wood will splinter. Now imagine a doctor being in a hurry and ripping teeth out of a person's mouth. Guess what's going to happen.
When I saw her I was blown away. Doctor ** didn't take his time when he pulled my friend's teeth. She is a beautiful and amazing sweet girl who went to Affordable Dentures hoping to leave with a new smile as thousands of people do everyday. What she got instead was shredded gums and a horrible case of TMJ. This was March 7th 2014. Today is July 6th 2014. Four months later her gums are still sore. She still has no teeth she can wear. Her mouth and jaw is still inflamed. She has seen 5 different medical and dental professionals since the extractions. Every single one of them including the dentist at Estill Springs dental care, the nurse at the hospital emergency room in Winchester TN, a nerve specialist and Dr. ** who is an Oral specialist said, "This much damage is NOT NORMAL."
Every one of these medical professionals stated that they believe that Dr. ** caused the TMJ and did serious damage to her bones and jaw. However not one of these so called medical professionals will put this in writing. It's called "CYA." My friend had to have reconstructive surgery to her gum line where at least 8 bones were sticking out of her gums. She was and still is in so much pain that she cannot eat solid food. She has lost weight and has had to go to the emergency room with infections. She has been prescribed narcotic pain medicine, anti-inflammatory and anti-anxiety medicine since the extractions.
Four months and thousands of dollars in medical bills later she is still in pain. This is not acceptable. It's horrible and I hope it outrages everyone who reads this. We have seen several lawyers who all say, "There is obvious medical malpractice in this case. But in TN unless another doctor is willing to state in writing that in their medical opinion Dr. ** caused this damage they can't help us". It's a clear cut case of doctors who pay malpractice insurance who don't want to make waves.
In the meantime an innocent girl has to suffer. Where is the justice? We need help! I am worried about her health which has deteriorated since the extractions. Not to mention the mental anguish, depression, loss of confidence, embarrassment and humiliation because she is forced to walk around with no teeth. This poor girl is beautiful and innocent. Please don't go to AFFORDABLE DENTURES until they, (DR. **) makes this right. If you are Dr. ** and you read this, call me if you have the stones to stand up and be a man and admit you hurt this girl. What happened to accountability? Obviously you don't care about helping people. You didn't hesitate to take her money did you? I hope you do the right thing but seriously doubt you're a man with any character. In the end you're going to make this right because I'm going to make it my life's mission to see that you do. You hurt my friend who I love more than you'll ever know and I'm not going to let you get away with it.

The dentist came in, pulled my teeth, put some gauze in my mouth. Then dental technicians came in with my teeth later and put in my dentures and made adjustments, put some gauze in the sides of my mouth and told me I was ready to go. I drove home approx 60 miles away. By the time I got home, blood was coming out of my mouth and I was in extreme pain. I got in my house. Blood was pouring out of my mouth so I took my dentures out and blood and clot was pouring. I got my mouth full of gauze and tried to call my wife at her work. I was getting weak. I was able to get my son and the EMS came to check me out. The EMS called the Dentist and was told to put tea bags on the extraction site. We did that but it did not control the bleeding.
I was getting very weak so my wife took me to the VA ER in Ashville where they called in a Dental surgeon. He was surprised to see that the Dentist had not sutured my extractions. He sutured all 9 places and got the bleeding under control. My face is blue and black from where the Dentist at Affordable Dentures struggled to get some of my teeth out and used my jaw as leverage to get my teeth out. He was a young dentist, probably not been out of dental school very long. They have not called to check on me? I cannot wear the dentures they have provided me.

Ten days ago, April 30, 2014, I had my teeth extracted by an Oral Surgeon. Seven days after that I saw Dr. ** at Affordable Dental (Colorado Springs, CO). At that appointment, he was going to file down the dentures I was previously fitted for so they would fit better and not hurt. I first told/showed him where the top set were really hurting and he got to work there and other places. Each time he had me re-try them, I complained about the SAME pain, then he would shave off a small amount more and asked if it was 'better'. At that time it was (although I told him it still bothered me... he told me I was still swollen). By early evening I couldn't keep the lower set in at all - the top hurt as well but I was able to leave them in. First thing the next day - Thurs - I called so I could come in Friday morning as Dr. ** told me they fix these issues every day from 10-11.
When I called they told me the next available was the following Monday - 4 DAYS AWAY! I made the appt and hung up - pissed. That night (last night) I couldn't sleep because my mouth was throbbing horribly and only getting worse, so first thing today I called back to Affordable Dentures and asked them if they could have the doctor call in a small prescription for pain meds (I asked for the less potent ** as opposed to **) to help me until I could get them fixed Monday. She said she would have someone call me. It's getting late and still no phone call, it's a Friday, and I had the feeling I wouldn't get a call back anyway so I decided to call the Oral Surgeon.
I told them exactly what happened with Affordable Dental/Dr. ** - that I called that morning asking for some help with the pain, etc., and they were able to get me in within 2 hours. The surgeon was able to help me with the pain issue (and he gave me a prescription strength mouthwash that would also help). I was not trying to get a script for pain meds just because I could, but because I was beginning to hurt worse than right after I had the surgery. It was apparent to the surgeon as he made a comment to me about how he could plainly see the sores in my mouth from these dentures and suggested I keep them out totally until I can get in to see Dr. ** on Monday. That is the complete opposite instruction they give you when you first get dentures. You're supposed to keep them in as long as possible, and all night for the first several nights.
Interestingly, I have another appt with Dr. ** on Wednesday - he's doing something to the dentures that requires me to have "NO" pain or irritating spots in my mouth. This was when he told me that if I had pain, they fixed dentures daily from 10-11 and that I needed to get it taken care of quickly, before my Wed appt. When I left I did not think to verify if what the dentist said was true - why would I? If a professional, especially a doctor, tells me something specific, I'm usually more inclined to believe it and/or do it as I assume most people would. There are two other issues that I have decided to keep quiet about because I don't want to look like I'm being petty and complaining just because I can. I'm very angry at Dr. ** and Affordable Dentures right now. I wish I had chosen another dentist to have this done.
I have spent more than the last 10 years on extremely strong pain meds (I'm a disabled vet) and ended up with horrible teeth as well as other crap, and was very excited to be finally getting my teeth fixed. I'm disappointed in how I've been treated at Affordable Dentures, and even though I think Dr. ** is a nice man, I'm not so sure about his ability at the moment in dentistry. I don't enjoy giving a bad review like this, but I believe it's worth it, but apparently the corporation doesn't care too much or they would acknowledge these many complaints that have been posted. I highly suggest you shop around before deciding on this business. They may be more affordable, but that's not always worth it.

I went to get a consultation from who I thought was a professional of some sort. They took an xray and when the owner, who I am assuming by his lack of knowledge that he has no dental training, came in he was mumbling "this is annoying." I blew it off and he began to tell me I had an infection in one of my teeth so I would have to have an oral surgeon pull it. So I said "ok, well I will get that done and then I will come get the work done. But I need an amount so I can get the money together." I also asked if he thought one of the teeth on my xray had a cavity. Well I overheard him telling the medical assistant to make me wait out front.. Then the receptionist who I had been speaking to over the phone the weeks before asked if he gave me anything for pain and infection. I told her no and that he seemed irritated with me so she said she would go see what was wrong..
Next thing I know Corey ** was berating me in front of the entire waiting room. I was in tears at this point and I asked what I had done to him. At that point he said "you already know what you have to have done to your teeth because you just had two root canals and they told you everything that was wrong with your mouth" which was not true. I had just had 4200 dollars worth of work done on my front teeth which were chipped and needed to be fixed asap because they were always visible. I specifically asked the other dentist to only worry about those because of the cost of the xrays. That is why I was trying to go to affordable dentures. He then told me he would rather not do business with me.
Personally I think he was incompetent and instead of admitting he didn't know what he was doing, decided to lash out at me. He would get so angry when I used the wrong terminology (ex. calling a partial a denture). I work for a florist and if someone called a rose a tulip, I know I would not get upset. I am still in disbelief at the way I was treated and when I called the 1800 number, the least sincere woman called me and let me know she couldn't do anything. For me a sincere apology would have done it.

In November 2013 I went to Affordable Dentures in Springfield and was shown a models of different teeth to purchase. I think there were 4 models. Being I was a 1st time denture wearer I wanted the BEST money could buy! So I bought the Ultra's. 6 Months later and 10 trips to Springfield (over 100 miles round trip) I still cannot wear my dentures :(
To start with, the dentist and his un-educated assistant (I will tell you that story in a minute) were both giving me conflicting information. The dentist told me on my first visit that I could start eating soft foods the same day I receive my dentures. The next day was Thanksgiving and so I went to a family gathering and I did eat, and I literally shredded my mouth so bad it was bleeding. I was not going to remove my dentures in front of all of these people so I kept running back and forth to the bathroom to add more adhesive.
I have never had problems getting a seal on my bottom dentures and was pleased with them. I was told I was lucky because everyone has a problem with the bottom's. I went back repeatedly for adjustments. The 3rd time I went back I was told by the un-educated assistant "we never told you to go home and start eating". What? The dentist did? So I started questioning her expertise. So are you a "certified" dental assistant? No, she said. So you are a hygienist? No, she replied. Oh you are the denturist? No, she replied. Then what is your certification or education in, I asked. Oh I never went to school. Whaaa? You mean to tell me I am being treated by some Joe Blow off the street? Well no, I have worked here for a over a year. After that, I started asking specifically for the dentist.
Finally, last week I went back again, and I told them I have never been able to wear these dentures. I told them I was fed up with running back and forth. So the dentist took new impressions and I was thinking "Yippee, finally, new dentures that might fit!!" Came back the next week, SAME DENTURES. Now the bottom one's don't fit either. OMG I forgot to mention after the 7th adjustment I was told by the dentist that he would have to start charging me for these adjustments. What the hell? I was told in the beginning I would be made satisfied 100% since I bought the Ultra Dentures.
Conflicting information, run-a-round, and still no dentures. Next is small claims court. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE, TALK TO OTHER DENTURE WEARERS AND ASK THEM IF THEY WERE HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE PROVIDER!!! On the pic's notice the slit that should be placed over the front two teeth? A little off center ya think?

I was told yes that an early appointment would be made and the dentures would be ready later in the day. I also explained that I lived nearly two hours away and wanted to make sure it could all be taken care of in the same day.
Again, I was told yes. I had my teeth extracted a few days before the appointment by an oral surgeon who was in my insurance network. Confident that I would be coming back with my dentures, I drove the two hours, paid for a hotel room, etc. etc. When checking in the receptionist confirmed that I was there for extractions and a full set of dentures. I explained that the extractions had already been done as so then I was told that I could not be fitted because I needed to wait 1 week after extractions...? Excuse me? I brought it to her attention that they advertise SAME DAY.
I was then told that the doctor decided if he wanted to give you dentures the same day or not. Yet I was not allowed to see him because of the waiting a week thing. I do not understand why she was ready to get me in there for everything until she found that I would not be having the extractions done there. I feel like I was mislead not only by their advertisement but also by the receptionist who made the appointment to begin with. I lost time from work, wasted money on gas, a hotel and childcare. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed with them.

I am 30 years old and suffered for a year with my teeth.... I was sick for a few years before they took out my gallbladder. From being so sick I was throwing up pure stomach acid which ate through the enamel of my teeth the top especially, causing them to become brittle and break off. For a year I went to dentist after dentist, for consults and prices. I suffered through many painful abscesses one so severe it could have killed me. It wasn't from me not taking care of my teeth but from the stomach issues I had. I searched tried to find where I could do payment plans, no insurance and could get dental but so long of a waiting period. Anyways I went to Aspen Dental, nice people. $20 for x-rays and walked out with a grand total of $7000 to remove top teeth and denture. I was disappointed, then I went to a place called Cloudland Dental, $59 x-rays and they're grand total for top and bottom $10,000 and to keep my bottom and do fillings it'd be $13,000. Who has that type of money?
By then I was frustrated down and out depressed. I had lost over 30lbs because I was limited to what I could eat. Feb. 14th I went for my consult with Affordable Dentures. Everyone there was great and friendly, so helpful. They helped me pick a package I could afford and was suited for me. They made my impression that day, I only paid for my pkg I got. The dentist was so great, he waived my office visit fee, and also discounted me on my package. I made the appointment for the procedure the following Friday so I could have all weekend from work to recover. He immediately started me on antibiotics, gave me the scripts of the meds I needed. I went in Friday the 21st. They took great care of me. He had me numbed up really well, I didn't feel him pull all my top teeth. He kept checking on how I was doing the entire time. I had two on the bottom which were wisdom but only root tips that he went ahead and took those out and didn't charge me for those or that office visit.
The hygienist worked with me on the immediate denture several times to get it to look perfect. As I was about to leave he hugged me, gave me his personal number, said if I have any problems to call. It's been 5 days. I went in because of some oozing which was from infection I had previously... They were helpful and kind, very considerate. My upper denture looks natural. I was able to talk fine with them in, had no problems just some irritation which she showed me how to take care of that today. I go back in a week for follow-up and adjustments if I need it. I walked out with a great smile and confident and it only costed me $1800. I recommend this to everyone now.

While making an appointment with Aff. Dentures, I very carefully told them over the phone that I was contacting several dentists for the cost of getting dentures and explicitly told them that I did not want to be "dinged" at each stop for an $80 to $100 consult fee and for fees for dental X-rays since I had a copy of my dental X-rays that were only 6 months old. The person on the phone told me that was fine and that I would only be charged a nominal ~$40 consult fee. When I showed up for my appointment, the first thing out of the receptionist mouth was "That will be $110". I asked what that was for and she responded "for X-rays". I told her I was not going to pay for X-rays, that I had a copy of my X-rays and that I was previously told by her office that I did not have to have new X-rays. The only thing that kept coming out of this woman's mouth was "no, you'll have to have new X-rays and that will be $110". I wouldn't let Affordable Dentures people work on a dog's mouth.

I took an acrylic partial to Affordable Dentures (St. Clairsville, OH) for repair. The partial had been made elsewhere and fit fine, but I broke it by carelessly biting something too hard. I was astonished, after the repair it felt like a different partial - tight, ill fitting and uncomfortable. I could hardly get it in. The dentist took it and ground on it twice, making very little improvement. He said to try it and if it was too uncomfortable he would take the $110 repair cost off the price of a new cast metal partial, but that is no solution, because I don't trust them to do anything for my mouth now.

Affordable Dentures at Pooler, Georgia. Top denture has no suction at all and rocks side to side. Lower denture has a short thick double lipped inside edge on one side, as pictured. Each outside rear edge is flat, not going over the rear gum which I do still have, and does not go all the way to the back of the gums, easily allowing food underneath. It looks to me that they took the impression completely wrong.
The waiting area was nice and the receptionist were fine. Once in the dental chair everything changed. No one introduced themselves as a dentist. I never heard anyone mention the word dentist or doctor all day and I do not believe one was in the building. The lady that waited on me did not seem like she knew what she was doing and was not professional at all. I objected when she insisted on using my old damaged dentures, filled with impression material to take the impression instead of the metal trays that fit my gums better, like was used in the past.
That afternoon when the dentures were presented and fitted, I noted to her 3 times the upper dentures had no suction at all and kept falling down. I have been wearing upper dentures for the last 22 years. She said I needed to use more saliva and get used to it. The bottom dentures had a large burr on it and hurt when placed in my mouth. She grinded it off and seemed to fit better without causing a lot of pain. I mentioned that they seemed very loose but she said that they are supposed to.
I have to use denture paste now for the top and bottom dentures. They gave me a tube on the way out. The bottoms are completely loose with food getting under even using denture paste. No more eating potato chips for me. I didn't have to use paste with my old dentures to eat. This was a total waste of my time and money. It is a good thing for them that they make everyone pay for the dentures first in the morning before they make the dentures.

Do not use this location!!!!! At this location, my wife purchased their "Premium Full Set - Upper and Lower" set of dentures on 09/04/2013... not their most expensive set, but definitely not their least expensive. Initially, they didn't fit correctly, so she had to take them back a couple of times for adjustments. Not unusual and no problems, so far. After about the third try, she was happy with the fit and look of the dentures.
On 12/23/13 we were on our way out of town for Christmas when she made the comment that she thought her upper dentures were cracked. She said she could feel a small crack in the dentures with her tongue, and she would have to take them back to Affordable Dentures so they could take a look. On 12/26/13, we were returning home when we stopped for a bite to eat. Halfway though the meal (chicken strips at Sonic), my wife said "SEE, I TOLD YOU!".... and at that point she pulled out her top dentures in two (2) halves. They had split almost exactly in the middle from left to right.
When they finally reopened on 01/02/14, my wife called and explained what happened. The receptionist took a look at her files and said since you've had a couple of adjustments made then it would be $160 to have them repaired. The receptionist was very rude about the situation and my wife got very upset. I then took the dentures to the office on 01/03/14 to show them exactly what we were talking about. The receptionist (after looking at my wife's files) said she needed to take the teeth back to the lab. When she returned shortly, she said they could fix them, but it would cost the $160 they quoted my wife. She said the lab states the dentures were dropped. My wife never took the top dentures out of her mouth unless to have them re-fitted, so I know she didn't drop them. In addition, even if she DID drop, the dentures shouldn't split in two!!! My wife's previous dentures were over 20 years old and never had such issues!
Affordable Denture's website has a "Patient Satisfaction Commitment" section. Yea, talk's cheap! It also states "If your dentures break in normal use during the first year, we will repair or replace, at the dentist's option, the denture at no charge." I guess their lawyers made them put in "at the dentist's option" kicker so they don't have to replace any dentures if they don't want to. Typical! I did call their 1-800 Patient Services Center number shown on the website on 01/03/14. Their response today (01/08/14) was the same as before. Why would I want to spend an additional $160 to repair dentures at this place? Obviously, they don't make dentures that last much over 3 months!! And patient satisfaction... forget about it!!!

Children of elderly parents with dementia BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! They feed off of the weak minded who do not or cannot stand up for themselves. If you take your elderly parent to this place make sure you have full power of attorney, medical and otherwise, and push your way back to the examination area with your parent because they will try to force you out of the examination area so you can't see or hear what's going on. I brought my 84 year old mother to the Bedford, VA location to be fitted for partials and they refused to let me or my wife go back with her for her fitting.
$1550, 4 months, and four visits later, they threw up their hands claiming they didn't know how to fix the screwed up mess they created to start with when they refused to allow us back to make sure my mother was pleased with everything during the fitting. Rather than work through the problem they decided to give her a refund with a statement that claims they reserve the right to refuse any future treatment on the refunded patient, like the patient was the problem. They won't ever have to worry about exercising this clause.
I could be a 90 year old man without a tooth in my head, and if they were the last, and I mean very last place on earth to get dentures, I would resolve myself to gumming my food until I die. There's one fat nurse in there who acts like she's the queen of the world and demands you show her respect; huh, not when they're trying to rip my mother off. She's the one who will try and make sure you don't come back with your parent. When mom got her teeth, there was a gap big enough to slide a T-bone steak through between her upper and lower, and this is the problem THEY created and cried out, "I CAN'T FIX THIS!"
Don't know how this place stays open. Some other denture/dental place could come into the area and run these people out of business. All they would have to do is treat their patients like they are glad to see them coming through the door and work to make sure they are pleased with the service. This would be miles above what these people do.

I went to Affordable Dentures in Commerce, GA on September 26, 2013 to have two (back) teeth extracted. I went there because I do not have dental insurance and needed my teeth pulled desperately. This was the worst dental experience that I have ever had!!! Not only was the dentist very unprofessional, he also was extremely rough when performing the actual extractions. He used my front teeth and jaw as leverage to pull my teeth. The next day I noticed that I had two huge knots on my jaw and my jaw bone or some type bone is now completely exposed (The bone is not even close to where the tooth was extracted).
When I called Affordable Dentures to tell them what was wrong, they were very rude and acted as if this same thing happens all the time. I told her that the exposed bone was not close to the extraction point and her response was "whatever". I was "floored" and didn't really know how to respond to her. I fear that I have an infection due to the exposed bone and have scheduled an appointment with a dentist that is not affiliated with Affordable Dentures. Not only will I never go back to Affordable Dentures, but I will never recommend it to anyone that I know. They may be cheap but it goes to show you do get what you pay for. Please do not use Affordable Dentures for any reason!!!!!! It is not worth the headache.

After the first day, I was in so much pain that I called their voicemail that night to set up an appointment. Needless to say, I had to call them in the morning, as they ignored my message. On June 19 and 20, 2013, I visited Affordable Dentures, Franklin, Indiana, to receive same-day partials. From the clinic published offerings, I selected what is termed The Premium Package, at a cost of $1780. The Package consists of a set of full or partial dentures, with the promise of being allowed to return at any time during the first year of wear for repair and adjustments. A final set is then placed in the patient's mouth. The words at any time echo throughout the clinic as the patients are being fitted for teeth, and again, as they leave: "You may come back any time you need to." That promise turns out to be a lie, particularly for purchasers of The Package.
At the time of my visit, I had eight teeth remaining, with only the two upper teeth to be extracted. I had been wearing partials and bridges for 17 years. The price schedule the assistant put in my lap showed extractions at $75 each. I was charged $105 for each one, and not told of the inflated price until after surgery. Dr. Philip ** made the dollar amount out of whole cloth. This is bait and switch. Patients are given two prescriptions and are told these have to be filled immediately or surgery will not be done. At the beginning of my visit, I completed a medical history revealing a thyroid condition. The medication, Dr. ** prescribed came with a printed indication of potential death to those with thyroidism. The prescription is given to every patient, no matter their medical condition. This is malpractice.
Over fifty patients were seen on the day I was. They were herded through the clinic, with their dentures made as fast as credit cards can be swiped, and regardless of quality. When mine were placed in my mouth, a definite elevation on the upper right was noticeable; the length of the right side teeth was pronouncedly shorter than the other side. I noticed this after I went to my car and called in the message. The hateful assistant, Rose, left a recorded reply, "Your teeth were made the way they are supposed to be, so I don't know what your problem is." No mention of "We'll fix it any time." Certainly, no consideration for the pain of the patient was forthcoming.
I went back anyway. When looking into my mouth, Rose told me, "Nothing is wrong with the partial. It's you. You have a lip like Elvis. You snarl like Elvis and that's why you think the teeth look funny." I am 61 years old and never in my life have I been told I look like Elvis. I have never had elevated teeth on one side, either. I asked to speak to the dentist and in came Dr. Linda **, owner of the practice. She looked at my mouth and told me I shouldn't criticize her work and I should leave. I asked her to take the partial and make the teeth the same length. She stormed out of the room shouting at me, "I'M NOT GOING TO DO IT. I DON'T HAVE TO DO IT." I told Rose that she had better do it. Rose grabbed my arm (I was still sitting in the exam chair) and shook me, saying, "You don't talk to US like that."
In a few minutes, Dr. Linda returned and added length to my teeth, so that miraculously, after 61 years, I no longer looked like Elvis! And then she said, "We added lots and lots to your teeth!" The same teeth that minutes before didn't have anything wrong with them, according to her. One month later, her crummy addition to the partial is now crumbling off, and I again have lopsided teeth. The lower partial was three times the size it needed to be. It wouldn't fit into my jaw, particularly the right side. Dr. ** continued to tell me my mouth would adjust to a denture so big that my tongue wouldn't lay flat. I could not chew, couldn't talk, and couldn't get the partial into my jaw.
The week after this bizarre act of dental malpractice, I called for an appointment to have the lowers decreased. I was told that no one could come back until two weeks post-op; even those of us who had no gum swelling, and who had paid for The Package. The shoddy work of Doctors ** and ** resulted in blisters, lesions, sores and bleeding in my mouth. All caused by Affordable Dentures defective product. The lowers would not allow my mouth to rotate or chew. And I was expected to be tortured like this for no less than one year and up to two years! Subsequently, I was examined in an emergency room and by a dentist in federal practice, all advising me to contact Dr. ** for adjustment.
Work was done to make the partials smaller, but still do not fit my mouth and are completely unusable. Sores and lesions continue to form on my gums due to the defective workmanship of this garbage for a product. Parts of the upper partial have chipped off during normal wear, leaving a gap between the teeth. I called again (You can come back anytime! ) in early August for repair. The nasty Rose told me I could only come on a Tuesday between 1 and 2 o'clock. She then said, "You come when I tell you to, or you won't get an adjustment or repair." So I haven't been back. I live with the worse excuse for a set of partials ever made. The chewing surfaces are almost non-existent. The lowers cannot be worn. The uppers continue to chip. These substandard, inferior teeth are causing pain and suffering as well as embarrassment by not being wearable.
Most new denture issues are caused by gums adjusting to extractions and the placing of artificial teeth. These are not problems particular to me. My gums were ready for permanent partials, yet Affordable Dentures refused to provide them. At one point, Dr. **, in an effort to deflect responsibility for her inferior work, pointed to my natural tooth #22, and said, "It's this one that's causing all the trouble." This tooth gave us FITS! Tooth #22 had nothing to do with the creation or placement of her shoddy partials. My #22 is perfectly normal and was not in the way of anything. She simply had to divert attention from her fraud by projecting away from herself. Affordable Dentures, Franklin, Indiana, should be closed and prohibited from operating in the state. An investigation of this office and the qualifications of its staff are imperative.
When I paid $1990 on my credit card to the assistant named Dana, I asked for a copy of my file. Dana's reply was, "What do you need it for?" I said I have the right to access my medical records. She said, "We don't do that. Affordable Dentures willfully violates HIPPA law." Two weeks prior to submitting this complaint, I sent an electronic message to the corporate office of Affordable Dentures, Kinton, North Carolina. The narrative here reflects that message. I allowed corporate ten days to provide an answer and nothing has been received, nor have I heard from the Franklin office.

After a horrific automobile accident I went to Affordable Dentures in Bakersfield, California for "professional" help with regard to dental help. My husband and I were treated with great compassion from all individuals. But must tell you once they received their "cash" payment of over $4,000.00 we were truly treated with disrespect from the employees, (in particular, Cocoa) who had little to no compassion to what I had been through and what was to come. My upper plate NEVER fit right, in fact I had to use both powder and adhesive to keep them somewhat in place, to no avail. A dental/medical office is not one I frequent to just be billed and pop in to say hello!
After their "cash payment" policy we were not treated well at all. In fact, I had the most ill fitted upper plate, (nearly 1/4 inch thick) and when I spoke my husband could not even understand what I was saying. My lower implanted was never completed. Why have the lower implanted denture made when the upper is way TOO BIG and never perfected. A return of both were returned only to be advise it would be 2-3 weeks for a refund, really! They had no problem taking our money, now we have to wait (with no teeth at all) 2-3 weeks. All I can say is wow! I have four (4) posts exposed and sticking up in the lower jaw and in fact have impelled my tongue multiple times, which needed emergency medical treatment as I could not breathe.
We WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE who is seeking dentures. It is our opinion it is all about money on their part. Perhaps the employees need a refresher course on how to treat patients. After all we are paying their salaries and are not visiting their office just to be billed and say "HELLO". Now we must attempt to find another dentist who can fix this mess they made. Good luck to all who engage in treatment from this facility.

My upper denture of 10 years broke in half on Friday night and hubby and I were due to leave on a cruise in 5 days. Thought of Affordable Dentures as per a friend in Florida. Guess she wasn't my friend after all. Get to Affordable Dentures first thing Monday morning, pick your teeth and pay for them first before getting in to see anyone. Finally called back and have this "wad" of plastic shoved in my mouth. I was smart enough to have had my lower partial in. Partial comes flying out with the extraction of the pink plastic wad. Had to retrieve that from a dirty looking corner. Told to come back after one pm - okay. Called back once again for my new teeth - how HORRIBLE!!! The teeth looked like Chiclets and I paid how much for this. All I do is lisp and slur and slur and lisp. Chewing doesn't happen since there's no alignment between upper and lower. Returned and fixed, returned and fixed - was told I need to suck it up and learn how to use dentures - Strange, I've had dentures for 10 years with no problems. I just want my money back so I can pay a real dentist for a new upper that actually works!

I drove about 75 miles to get a bottom partial, so I had to have 2 teeth taken out. Weeks later I could not wear the dentures due to pain. I went back they said it takes time for your gums to shrink. Months later the same. I finally just stop wearing the dentures. This was about 10 years ago. Fast forward to today. In 2010 I went to another Affordable Dentures office near my home. I purchased other bottom partial. A course they took X-ray $25.00. I told them the story about the pain and the previous dentures. 2010 I was having the same pain as last time. They said it’s going to take time and they adjusted the dentures on a few occasions.
Again, I stop wearing the dentures. In 2013 June, I was having pain and swelling. I made an appointment w/ Affordable Dentures to remove the tooth I assume was giving me pain. The doctor reviewed the X-ray and examined me. When he touched my gums it caused a lot of pain. He said that should not hurt. I looked at the X-ray and asked him “What is that under my gum?” He said, “Probably a bone, I will found out when I take the other teeth out.” He then said to his assistant that looks like a broken off tooth that the gum grew over and he said look at all the pus going out. He said, “I see why you were in pain. A big portion of a tooth was left.”
Since June I've been calling the corporate number and left several messages on a voicemail for Judy with no success. I have spoken with several representatives. No one can address my issue. And this matter should be addressed, it is neglect, and after going back several times I was the one who pointed this out on the X-ray. For years I suffered and, not knowing the problem. The doctor said I probably had TMJ like my Mom. If anyone can help, please do. P.S. I do have the tooth that was left in my mouth.

I took my husband to his appointment to have 1 tooth pulled that had broken a few days before while on vacation. When we arrived, we were told we had to pay all fees upfront because they did not bill ANY insurance. When this appointment was made, it was thoroughly explained to the dental office that he wanted IV sedation. The front office said there would be NO PROBLEM, only to find out they DID NOT offer IV sedation. But he was in pain and could not get another appointment that same day, so he agreed with much hesitation to oral sedation. On exam, he was told he needed 5 extractions and that he would not feel or remember a thing because this oral medication was that good! After a horrible experience in the military, he cannot bear the thought of anyone in his mouth.. You should hear that story.
The entire dental staff assured us over and over again that this dentist was the best and they would be very gentle due to his past experiences. He has a pain tolerance that is very high and I have known him to be afraid of nothing, so it is not like he is a baby about things. Anyway, after giving him ** two 25mg pills, he was totally wasted, but still very much aware of everything happening but could not move his limbs. The dentist was very aggressive (resulting in facial bruising in areas that did not have work done. My husband said the doctor had a grip on his chin and jaw so hard that it hurt more than the work he was doing at the time (that is where the bruising was in the shape of a thumb). When the work was finished, they called me to the back to retrieve my husband who had blood all over his face and beard dried where it had dripped and ran down out of his mouth. I had to ask for something to clean him up with. He looked like he had been in a fight, like a scene from an action movie.
It was getting late and they wanted to close for the day, so they were rushing us out the door. After a stop in the bathroom with me holding up a 250lb man alone who can barely walk with assistance, they said everything he needed was inside of the little bag they looped around my finger as they held the door open for me... No help to the car or unlocking the door even. He slept most of the way home. I was told to give him pain medication ASAP. I called my daughter to come take the prescription to the pharmacy (I didn't want to leave this 250lb, 3-year-old alone). When she called from the pharmacy to tell me the doctor FAILED TO SIGN THE PRESCRIPTION AND IT COULD NOT BE FILLED, I was livid (remember they pushed us out the door so they could close).
His ** was wearing off and he had no pain medication. This was about 5:30PM and I called the emergency number on the instruction form... and waited... and waited... At 8:35 the doctor called back and said he didn't see my call because he plugged in the phone in the other room and had sat down to watch TV (what part of emergency number does he not understand???). At 8:45 he called in the prescription to the original pharmacy, not the 2nd one I gave him that was a 24-hour store (mine closed at 8:30), so my husband spent the entire night and the next morning in pain with no medication...
This is insane. I could tell you to not go to this place, but if you have read this far, surely you have reached that decision on your own.. NOTHING in this review is exaggerated or false... This place should be shut down... Who regulated these places???

He did full mouth x-rays, etc.
The doctor then came in and said he could not do the extractions because of heart condition. He then referred him to an Oral Surgery Associates. He went there only to be told that it would be $1,945.00 to extract 5 teeth. Are you kidding me? I would never recommend OSA. I told the doctor that the lady had the bedside manner of a rattle snake. All I can say is she better never work on me! I will report her.

When I finally got my permanent’s, I wore them for three weeks and a tooth fell out. So I went in to have this fixed and instead, they did a reline and completely destroyed them. I was very happy with the pair the tooth fell out of, and it only got worse from there and ended up having the doctor verbally abusing me badly. Anyway, the actual address to the corporate office is not a PO Box. It's Affordable Care Inc. Corporate Office 5430 Wade Park Blvd., Wade 11 Suite 408, Raleigh, NC 27607. I do hope this will help someone out there right now. I am trying to fight my own battle. I just want them to fix my dentures right. I have no rating at all. We will have to see what happens.
As of right now, I am stuck wearing the temporary's that were not even made right. I did notice that this place I had gone to there seemed to be a lot of people with teeth that protrude out as well as mine, and I have never had a bucktooth in my life. There was also a man that had his teeth extracted and came out into the waiting room and died right there on the spot as a result of the anesthesia. Wow, so all I can say is people, pray because with God, all things are possible. The first picture was the temporary's, the second was the permanent's that they destroyed and the third was what they said look great and they were not. There was so much gums the teeth sat on my bottom lip and I could not talk or eat with them. I just want my pretty teeth back for the perms. They were supposed to have made a new impression but they did not. Just like I had said, I just want them to fix what they messed up but of course, I would never go back to the same Affordable Dentures.

When I went in for my consultation, they were so nice. Once I paid, each time, I had to go back, the doctors were rude and treated me like I was a bother. In the three weeks since, I had 7 teeth extracted and top dentures, economy, for the first ones. I have had to return 3 times due to pain and they were made too large so I was choking all the time. I hope I do not have to deal with them too many more times. I will not ever recommend this company to anyone. The bad part is, I still have to return for my permanent ones.

I also had the most horrible experience ever. I had 26 teeth pulled at one time and what was supposed to be a 30-minute procedure took over 2 hours. He got down to 4 final teeth to pull the needle he was using. It was not working so he looked at me and said that this was going to hurt. He then leaned over me and pulled them out as I felt all the pain. He then sent me home with no antibiotics and when I returned with a severe infection, the other doctor on staff informed me that when pulling that many teeth, it's like having surgery and I needed the antibiotics in the beginning. Since then, there are so many bone fragments that I'm always in great pain. I can't wear my dentures and can only eat soft foods. It has been over a year since this has happened and I'm still in pain and miserable. Please feel free to e-mail if you get any answers. Thank you.

I had dentures (upper and lower) made in Springdale, Arkansas in 2009. The upper plate broke in two during the first year and was replaced under warranty. The replacement dropped two teeth within a year. Months later, a tooth showed signs of adhesion problem that resulted in a partial break of the upper plate. It was repaired at a cost of $100, but within a month, two more teeth developed the same adhesion problem. In an attempt to prevent them from falling out, I saw the dentist, Dr. Sharnn **, and said simply, "Teeth fall out" and proceeded to lecture me about automobiles needing maintenance, etc.
I have been wearing dentures for twenty or more years and never had the kind of problems described above. In fact, I probably went too long before replacing prior dentures from Washington, DC and Tampa, FL. At no time did I ever have one problem described above. I would definitely not recommend the practice in Springdale, Arkansas and based on reviews previously posted here and elsewhere, I would strongly recommend seeking denture replacement or otherwise anywhere but with Affordable Dentures. Their corporate offices are in Kinston, NC, PO Box 1042, Kinston, NC 28503-9980.

I got a temporary partial tops on May 6, 2010 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa office. I live 70 miles away. I had to drink liquids for 14 months. They asked me to come back and have them checked every month. I spent many money on gas. I put in the most expensive permanent partials, didn't tell me they only put in temp linings. They told me to come back in 60 days for adjustments. After that, I would have to pay $150 for relines. Ten months later, there are no liners left so I am back to see why the liners are gone. The dentist only then informed me they were temp linings. She started acting rude, nasty, smeared the pink impression stuff all over my chin, cheeks and upper lip, left it there, never giving me any cloth or water to clean it off. Then made me stay in Cedar Rapids 8 hours and 15 minutes.
They close at 4:30 and brought me into the chair at 4:35. I brought them in at 8:20AM. They only needed some permanent lining. I was so mad, I just put them in my mouth while the dentist was telling me "you are one of those people that has a fear of dentures", and I had been wearing them for 2 without any fears. They had no new liners, were more loose than when I came in. I will never go back there again. I will pay another dentist to try and fix them or replace them.

I went to their office a few weeks ago on a Tuesday to have a tooth pulled and they would not see me because he did not have time. I had to go somewhere else and pay $300 to have the tooth pulled. Then I again went in on 3/2/2012 after calling, and the recording stated they take walk-ins but would be closed 4/4/2012 and would reopen on 4/9/2012. So I got there at 7:45 a.m. and waited in line to check in. I got to the window and she told me they were not taking walk-ins that day and I will have to come back after the 9th. So now I have to pay another $300 to have this tooth pulled. What kind of office are they running? I was a patient of theirs, not a new one. I will not go back there again.

Poland, Boardman, Ohio Affordable dentures is the worst place to go for dentures. I have been there 3 times for dentures, I had bottoms made there twice that I can't even wear and they're refusing to remake or do anything about it. The first pair of uppers had to be remade. It lasted for only 1 to 2 years and I went for my 2nd upper and I still have those on hand. They were very poorly made. They are really thin that they cracked. I still wore them even if they're broken and they stated they couldn't fix those.
I had the upper made today and they are not even straight. They go on an angle all the way around. About 10 minutes going home, I started getting horrible pains in my mouth where the denture is and when I shut my mouth the teeth touches my bottom gums and causes pain. When I put the denture in, the center is not lined up with the roof of my mouth and causes pain. I have to use force to put them in.
I paged the dentist and he said "I didn't make them, what do you want me to do about it? He was very nasty. I want my money back for every denture that was made there including the 2 bottoms that cannot be worn and I have had to go without. I have all these dentures and I want a lawyer to contact me to pursue this matter.
They think that because you are buying economy dentures and you're made to pay upfront, they can make this trash and you're stuck with it. No, sorry I will file complaints if I have to and even the state of Ohio if need be. Their action needs to stop and they are very rude people. I would not recommend this place to anyone. All the dentures made there have caused me pain and mental anguish. I want my money refunded.

In August of 2010, I went to the Tempe Affordable Dentures location to obtain consultation, and to get an upper denture. We live in Northern Arizona; that was the closest, and was five hours south. He (the dentist) did an extraction on eight teeth and gave me a temporary denture. After days of severe pain and swelling, I developed a fever of 102 degrees. I called the emergency number he had given me on my sheet of instructions. It took hours to hear back from him. Then he just called in an antibiotic, and suggested it may be dry socket.
After ten days on the antibiotic, I was no better at all. I developed sores inside my entire mouth. The gums were so painful; I could still only consume liquids weeks after the teeth extractions. I drove back down, and told him that I couldn't stand the pain anymore. At that point, he examined me. He informed me the sutures had not dissolved, but had grown up into my gums. He removed them, and advised me that it should heal fine.
I went back down after the gum swelling had subsided, and he did a soft reline (even though the package I purchased called for a regular reline). I went home with the denture fitting better. However, by the beginning of 2011 it was again quite large due to the swelling subsided more, and I called. I found out that the Tempe branch location was closed. There was no word from Affordable Dentures as to why, but I was told my files were transferred to the Sun City, AZ location. I went there; I was given a reline, and told that I was ready for my permanent. In the beginning of March, I went in for a permanent denture.
Now, almost a year after my initial visit to Dr. Acosta, I have some protrusions on my gums. This led me to believe there may be other foreign things in my gums. I'm not sure if it's additional sutures, pieces of teeth or what is causing it, but want to get it taken care of. I do not believe I should be financially responsible for an exam/x-ray. My denture from the "premium package" is less than 6 months old, and a tooth fell out. An "exact duplicate" pair I bought for extra on their promotion is not a duplicate. It looks like wax teeth.

All I wanted was to find a place to have an upper denture made. I have dealt with denturists back home in Oregon and Washington State, so this was what I had searched for. Boy, was I sorry when I found a webpage for Affordable Dentures. Here is what happened.
I called the Affordable Denture number, from the internet, for Dr. Alexis (607-797-5400), and spoke with her receptionist. She stated that I could get a same- day denture with no problem, and that they are used to servicing people from long distances. When I asked to make an appointment, I was told it is on a first come, first serve basis and no appointment was necessary. As long as I arrive between 7:45 and 8:30, I would be seen.
Tuesday, June 7, 2011I had to take the entire day off from work and drove from Middlebury Center to Dr. Chukym Alexis-Johnson DDS office in Vestal NY, arriving at 7:45 am. I was called back around 8:00 and picked my denture (premium), tooth color A1, and had my impressions taken and an X-ray. I was told I would be called back around 9:00 to look at my first initial denture (in wax). I was called back at approximately 10:30 and we had to adjust some of the front teeth, as they were too long. The denturist actually had to come out and look at what we were talking about, and also asked me not to bite down to hard as they were wax and it was moving the teeth. The initial wax mold then looked good, and I was told to be back at the office at 2:30 for my final fitting.
I returned to the office and waited until after 4:00 to be seen for my final fitting. The dental assistant had me try them on, and they did not fit right, there was also a lot of acrylic material on the actual teeth. She took the teeth back to the lab, and they cleaned some of the acrylic off the teeth, but not enough. She again took them back, and they removed more material from the teeth themselves. They still did not fit right, and I told the dentist. The dental assistant stated that the teeth are usually kind of loose in the back because they don't want too much material in the back. I told her this is not right, that I have worn dentures for over 20 years, and I know how they should fit. They are too loose. The dentist took the teeth to a counter and did a chair side reline. It took about 10 minutes for the material to set up, and she then took them and began to remove the excessive material. She herself found some acrylic on the teeth and had the denturist remove it. The denture fit much better. I left the office about 5:15 pm.
Wednesday, June 8, 2011At approximately 10:45 am, while at my office, the left front tooth fell out of the denture. I had bitten down on a piece of chocolate (dove), and the tooth just came out. I called the dentist office, and she said that I would need to come in and that no appointment was necessary. I told her I was not sure when I could come as I would have to take time off work to do so, and she said this was fine.
Friday, June 17, 2011I again took the day off from work and traveled an hour to the dentist's office. I spoke with the receptionist, who took the denture, and said to return at 3:00, and it should be done. I made the statement that "You mean I have to remain here all day just to have this fixed?" and she said, "Unfortunately yes!". I wasn't happy but again spent time having to eat out and wait around. At around 3:15, I called up to the window and given my denture back. The receptionist said wait as they usually call you back and make sure it's okay. She went and found the dentist, and they called me back. She made sure it fit. I again pointed out some acrylic down on the teeth which she had to remove. I also questioned that when my tooth fell out I cut my gum on the rough acrylic they had between the teeth. I questioned my concern to her that I am afraid that they have stuck the teeth in with a little acrylic between the teeth, and yet my old ones had a more defined gum line and had no acrylic between the teeth. She said she is not sure what I am talking about, and that a denture is made of acrylic. She stated that if they remove any more, the teeth will all fall out. I was made to feel I was being unreasonable, accepted the teeth, and left.
Monday, June 20, 2011Approximately 8:30 pm, I confirmed that now the right front tooth is loose.
Tuesday, June 21, 9:00 amI called Dr. Alexis' office again and spoke with Kelly. She said I could come in anytime to have my denture fixed again, and I told her, "No, I cannot take another day off work to have this fixed especially when it was due to the product being faulty". I asked to discuss getting a refund. She took my name and work number, as the doctor was in with a patient, and said she will pull the chart and have the doctor call me. I told her I was available before 10:30 and after 12:00 for a call, as I had meetings.
Tuesday, June 21, 9:05 am
I called my dental insurance office, as I had requested Dr. Alexis-Johnsons office to submit a claim for the dentures. They forgot to do this at my initial visit and had me pay the full amount due of $665.00. I spoke with Barbara, and she said they have not submitted a claim for either visit, but they did submit for an implant estimate.
Tuesday, June 21, 10:10 amKelly called me at my office and stated that the doctor does not call patients back, she is just way too busy. She said that the doctor does not have a problem refunding, but I will have to be seen in the office. I asked, at this point, if I could send the dentures by registered mail or return receipt. Kelly said "No, it is the policy to see the doctor and find out what exactly is wrong with the dentures". I asked if she was going to pay my lost wages for the day and Kelly said, "No, if they have an appointment, no one pays their wages. I told her that I already took 2 days off to go to her office, and that one of those days was to have the defective denture fixed because a tooth fell out, and I had to spend a whole day up there to have it repaired. I told her I cannot take another day off as I lose approximately $165.00 a day. She said that I have to come in. I said I will not be in and that I would seek legal counsel if needed. I then said, "Thank you, good bye!", and hung up.
Tuesday, June 21, 11:49 amI called the Customer Concern line at Affordable Dentures (1-800-336-8873), and no one spoke and the call was dropped. At 11:50am, I again called 1-800-336-8873 and this time Sandra answered. She took my personal information and details of what happened, to file a concern. She confirmed back to me my name, birth date, phone, short summary details of my concern, and my call back. Sandra stated she will send the concern, and someone will contact the dentist and then contact me back at my office.
Friday, June 24, 3:40pm
I had not heard back from anyone, so I again called 1-800-336-8873 and this time spoke with Gale. When she checked for my claim, she was not able to find anything on my claim of concern. She said they had difficulties on that Tuesday and the phones and database had went down that day. She took my zip code and information again. Gale said that a patient concern specialist will pick this up and call the doctor, and then call me. She said she will turn this in and make sure it goes before we hang up. I told her I was requesting to have a full refund of all charges and my X-ray. I also asked for a claim number but she said they don't have either a claim number or identifier. She also could not tell me a timeline of when I would be contacted.
Saturday, July 2I received, by regular mail, a document to sign agreeing to a refund of $540.00, and to return the dentures. I did not agree to this and kept the document.
Thursday, July 7, 10:15 amI called the Customer Concern line of 1-800-336-8873 again and spoke with Cindy. She explained again the process they follow, and I had to explain to her that no one has called me. I told her I would like to please speak with a supervisor. She then started looking in the system and indicated it appeared someone had contacted me. I told her no one had contacted me other than sending me something in the mail. She then said she was trying to figure out who to send me too. She then asked for my zip code, and based on that, said she was transferring me to Supervisor Tina **.
I received the voice mail box of Tina **, and I left a message explaining what had happened, that I did receive a letter from the dental office offering a refund of $570.00. But as I paid $665.00 and had time loss from work for a subpar denture, I felt this was not acceptable. I said I should be given a full refund and have my X-ray returned to me. I requested a call back that day, July 7, 2011, by close of business.
Thursday, July 7, 1:36 pmTina called to say that the dental office told her they did try to contact me, by both phone and mail. They said they left a message for me on June 27. I told Tina that no one left me a message, either at my home or office. I told Tina they did mail me a document for a refund and that I paid $665.00. That is the amount I want to be refunded, along with my x-ray, for my troubles. Tina stated this is up to the doctor, as she can't make that determination. I told her I understood. Tina said she would contact the doctor, and then contact me back.
Friday, July 8, 1:40pmTina called me and from Affordable Dentures and after speaking with the doctor said the following: The refund is for $570.00. They charged me $70.00 for the X-ray and if I want a copy, this will cost me $25.00. They also charged me $25.00 for an office visit. This is what the doctor told her, I thanked her for her time, and we ended the call.
I feel this is worth pursuing, as I am afraid of the numerous individuals that have been made to feel they have no choice but to be at this doctor's mercy. 1. Because they need teeth so bad or, 2. they have such limited funds that they can't leave them tied up waiting on a resolution. I am now going to find another dental office to make a denture, again take time off my job, and go through fittings again. The staff was nice as long as you were spending money but once they got it you were done. I do not feel this office provides a quality product, and it worries me because I purchased the premium denture and have some experience with them, what are individuals going through that are inexperienced. I think the concept of same-day dentures is great, if they can be made with the consumer in mind, and not how many people can be pushed through so you make a buck.
And if you call the Affordable Dentures 800 Customer Concern Line, it will do you no good, all they do is call the dentist, and I had already done that myself.
Thank you,Dianna **

On 4/19/10, impressions were made at Affordable Dentures-Memphis for a full upper denture and a lower partial. On 4/21/10, I returned to Affordable Dentures for placement and fitting of the dentures. On 4/27/10, I returned for an adjustment, the upper plate would not stay in my mouth, even with denture adhesive, and both plates were so long and wide they made sore spots on my cheeks and gums.
After the adjustment they still did not fit. I was informed I would need to wear them at least 30 days to get used to them. Dr. Grace ** informed me that their laboratory was not equipped to make "custom" dentures to fit my palate. On 6/7/10, I returned with the same complaints I originally had. A new impression was made for the upper denture. On 6/8/10, I returned for the new denture which was actually worse than the first one. The debris had not even been cleaned out between the teeth and any attempt to wear them was futile. The upper would/will not stay in my mouth and the metal on the lower partial is so close to the surface that it cuts the inside of my lip, as well as still being too long.
I asked my regular dentist if he could possibly adjust them. When I showed the plates to him he just stood and looked at me. They might be used as a "what not to have" demonstration but other than that, they are of no use. I live on a fixed income and if I had been told at the first visit that the Affordable Denture Laboratory was not equipped to make custom dentures, I would not have paid $830 for nothing. I inquired about a refund and was told they do not make refunds. At this point I am without dentures and without $830.
I cannot afford to have another set made and hope to stop anyone else from making the same mistake I made. Ask upfront if they will be able to fit the plates to your palate, before you have impressions made or before you pay them. Yes, the dentures are cheaper than you can have them made elsewhere but so are the materials they use. Also, if you can't wear them, what good are they?

I went to Affordable Dentures in January 2005 and purchased a top of the line premium set of dentures. What I received was junk. The nurse told me when I questioned why the groove that was suppose to be in the front of my mouth was on the side, that is where the muscle is. I had dentures before this pair and know that the muscle is in the front of the mouth.
When I complained I was told I didn't know what I was talking about. In July 2005, the dentures slipped out of my mouth while I was eating because they didn't fit correctly, so my daughter went with me to talk to the nurse and the doctor. Again I was told that they were correct and there was nothing they could do. I didn't not pay over a $1,000 for junk. I feel sorry for anyone that goes to this office.
My daughter has shown the dentures to another dentist and discovered that we were right. He told us to file a complaint with the corporate office. She did and they told her that the doctor would not replace the dentures. I just want what I paid for. I would rather receive a refund so that I can go somewhere different. The professionalism in that office is dispicable and my heart and physical health can not take dealing with them any longer. My daughter is worried that if I go back there I would only be upset and end up in the hospital.
What can we do??? If it is possible I would like for whomever calls to speak with my daughter, Paula Swygert, due to my health problems.
