However, ADHD Advisor clinicians do not prescribe stimulants, like Adderall, or benzodiazepines, like Xanax. Patients requiring these medications are referred to in-person providers.
Does ADHD Advisor take insurance?
No, ADHD Advisor does not directly accept health insurance. However, it will provide an itemized statement that patients can submit to their insurance companies for potential reimbursement. Additionally, a patient can use their HSA (health savings account) and FSA (flexible spending account) funds to cover the costs of services.

The Doctor I saw was extremely knowledgeable, kept me focused throughout the appointment and treated my diagnosis with humanity and understood the destabilization I have been going through after not being able to obtain care and treatment from my primary psychiatrist for over a year. Within two days I am now back on my medication and feel hopeful about being able to handle the overwhelm that has paralyzed me this last year while untreated. Highly professional, thorough evaluation. It was a relief to finally find help. I can’t express how grateful I am for reaching out and getting the care I deserve. My experience so far has been mostly positive. I was laid off from my job, and forced to move out-of-state. I already had an ADHD diagnosis, so I booked an appointment to establish care in my new state. Met with the doctor within a couple of days of booking, I explained I already had a diagnosis, he understood my case, and I was able to pick up my prescription without any hassle.
However, I do have an issue. I am not sure if the issue stems from the way their partner, Receptive Health, functions or if it stems from ADHD Advisor itself. But the process surrounding the "packages" and the "credits" is utterly and ridiculously confusing. For my initial appointment to establish care, I bought the "Diagnosis + Medication Management 102" package, which came with 2 credits, one for a 30-minute main appointment, and one for a 15-minute follow-up appointment.
I used the main credit for the initial appointment. The follow-up credit remains in my portal, and I am going to be charged for another "Medication Management" package, which comes with 2 credits.... There is nothing in the FAQ about the packages or the credits, what kind appointments the credits are for, or what they can and can't be used for, or when which package needs to be bought or for what!!!! And I think they could EASILY fix this issue for their users by supplying some basic clarification on the main website, or adding a process flow chart page or something like that. I reached out to support, and they responded promptly, but they did not REALLY answer the question. So I remain confused. Will update when I get a resolution. (If I can update, TBD.)

Absolutely loved Kelli **! I was so nervous and frustrated about even reaching out to be treated for ADHD. For years I was fighting a battle that I thought I could control. Done a lot of research and talked to different people that had been treated with ADHD. Finally I talked to my Dr and she explained a lot to me and advised me to go be tested. So I did and I already feel a weight lifted. Kelli was super king and funny. We laughed and I cried for she read my mail. Wow! She knew me better than I knew myself. Conversation was not hard and easy to understand. Totally understand why I am the way I am and what I can do about it. Easy 123. I even asked her if my people that needs her could reach out. I was able to get a Zoom telehealth session and my clinician social worker was extremely kind and compassionate.
