Doctor arrived on Zoom late and came to a diagnosis decision in about 6 minutes. The extremely brief session was cold and clinical. The doctor asked a few surface questions and spouted acronyms that a lay person wouldn’t know. Such a flippant/disrespectful approach to people’s mental health and their lives.

My experience with Dr. ** was essentially perfect. He listened to everything I had to say, offered his own input, and agreed to prescribe me **. The problem I ran into was with the pharmacy refusing to fill the prescription because I met with the provider via telehealth. I live in Texas, I don’t know what other people’s experiences were.

This man had zero concern for what I needed. I told him I had already been on this medication and it made no difference, even after telling him my last doctor just kept trying to up my dose of another drug. No empathy, zero knowledge of women and their struggles…he needs more training in empathy, period. Save your money, don’t spend on this Groupon doctor.

My experience so far has been mostly positive. I was laid off from my job, and forced to move out-of-state. I already had an ADHD diagnosis, so I booked an appointment to establish care in my new state. Met with the doctor within a couple of days of booking, I explained I already had a diagnosis, he understood my case, and I was able to pick up my prescription without any hassle.
However, I do have an issue. I am not sure if the issue stems from the way their partner, Receptive Health, functions or if it stems from ADHD Advisor itself. But the process surrounding the "packages" and the "credits" is utterly and ridiculously confusing. For my initial appointment to establish care, I bought the "Diagnosis + Medication Management 102" package, which came with 2 credits, one for a 30-minute main appointment, and one for a 15-minute follow-up appointment.
I used the main credit for the initial appointment. The follow-up credit remains in my portal, and I am going to be charged for another "Medication Management" package, which comes with 2 credits.... There is nothing in the FAQ about the packages or the credits, what kind appointments the credits are for, or what they can and can't be used for, or when which package needs to be bought or for what!!!! And I think they could EASILY fix this issue for their users by supplying some basic clarification on the main website, or adding a process flow chart page or something like that. I reached out to support, and they responded promptly, but they did not REALLY answer the question. So I remain confused. Will update when I get a resolution. (If I can update, TBD.)

I thought the LMSW I spoke to was great. I also thought that Receptive Health would be able to prescribe ADHD meds (they cannot). It seems a bit of a high cost for an evaluation which could have probably been done with my primary.

My meeting was great. The only issue was that Dr. ** wasn’t able to prescribe the medication I wanted because of its classification. I was made aware of this in a last-minute communication prior to my appointment. I went ahead with it, but felt it should have been clear when I was committing to the appointment.

I had an extremely disturbing call with Karen **. I honestly am still in shock. I decided to put her on speaker phone at one point because she was so inappropriate. I wanted my husband to hear. She started by calling me 4 min early, saying we didn't have enough time to get everything done in 15 min and she needed more time. I told her I'd be happy to accommodate this, but I needed to place her on a brief hold to wrap up my other meeting since she was calling me early. We started the call a couple minutes early. She immediately berated my Psychiatrist without even knowing them or me saying a word about them. She just kept saying "they are trying to get out of the work and not deal with meds so they are pushing you off on other people."
My Psychiatrist has met with me twice and has been extremely thorough and helpful. She gave me referrals for ADHD and neuropsych testing to really make sure ADHD was diagnosed properly. They all had extremely long waitlists or no availability, so I thought I would try this service out. It honestly felt like Karen was yelling at me and my psychiatrist. I tried to address early in the phone call that I was uncomfortable and she kept interrupting/talking over me and just saying "well we don't have a lot of time so let's get this done".
Throughout nearly every question, it felt strongly like Karen was trying to downplay or talk me out of my symptoms. She made a lot of generalizations about ADHD and seemed to be expressing her opinion and emotions about it constantly, despite telling me that we didn't have enough time to get through the questions. I can't tell you how many times she said we "didn't have enough time". I certainly didn't get the sense that she was holding the interview with professionalism or being impartial. She kept basically making a comment after most of my answers, downplaying the severity and implying that it wasn't fitting criteria. Between this and her aggressive, frustrated attitude/tone of voice, I was extremely uncomfortable.
At one point, she made a comment that I wasn't doing a lot of overtalking which is a symptom of ADHD. At that point, I told her I'm not talking freely because I feel so uncomfortable with her and the way she's engaging in this conversation. I told her it felt like she was frustrated or annoyed. She said "it's frustrating for us at this company because they only give us 15 minutes." I told her that that has nothing to do with me or my psychiatrist. If she is unhappy with the process at Receptive Health, she should be dealing with that internally and certainly not talking about it or projecting her emotions around it into a professional interview. She then told me that I wasted too much time and our time was up and she had to go to her next call even though we weren't finished.
I told her that was fine as I would be reaching out to you all to request a refund and/or be switched to a different assessor who can hopefully at least engage professionally. She then tried to argue with me and say that I was being inappropriate by distracting her from the interview questions. I told her that as a patient I am allowed to ask for follow up and state when something feels inappropriate. The inappropriate thing was her as a provider arguing with me constantly, raising her voice to me, interrupting me, injecting her personal opinions into every question, telling me she is unhappy with Receptive Health for only scheduling 15 min, and bad talking my psychiatrist. She finally backed down and said it wasn't appropriate and I had a right to reach out to you all to reschedule with somebody who I feel safe with.
To say I don't feel it is appropriate for me to pay for this session would be an understatement. I can honestly say I got nothing from this appointment. She didn't finish the job she was supposed to do and blamed it on your company and me asking follow up questions/defending my feelings. She ended the call abruptly because she said she had to start her next appointment. She didn't even take a moment of awareness to realize how much harm she did. I feel really shaken up and dysregulated from that conversation. I have never experienced anything like that in my life. To be honest, I might even go as far as to say it was traumatizing.
I would like to not only request a refund, but I would like to request a call back from someone in management. It honestly terrifies me that Karen is conducting these interviews the way she is. Not only did she do nothing in her job description to help me...she actually left me feeling so much worse. If I don't hear back from you, I will have to file a complaint with whoever the appropriate higher channel is, whether that is her licensing board or the Better Business Bureau. As not only a patient but a mental health provider myself, I cannot accept that this individual is out in the world conducting interviews this way. It was scary, traumatic, and inappropriate. And quite frankly, it feels dangerous.

It was great, and easy. My doctor listened to me, asked questions and together we came up with a treatment plan to best serve my needs. Absolutely loved Kelli **! I was so nervous and frustrated about even reaching out to be treated for ADHD. For years I was fighting a battle that I thought I could control. Done a lot of research and talked to different people that had been treated with ADHD. Finally I talked to my Dr and she explained a lot to me and advised me to go be tested. So I did and I already feel a weight lifted. Kelli was super king and funny. We laughed and I cried for she read my mail. Wow! She knew me better than I knew myself. The woman I spoke to was very knowledgeable, she made sure to explain everything to me as discussed options. She didn't just give me a prescription and send me off, but gave me practical life advice. She gave specific examples of life habits to try and implement, gave several suggestions and dosages for vitamins to try, and gave examples of things she uses in her own life to help her manage her ADHD. I never felt rushed or like she was looking down on me, but instead felt she truly wanted to help understand exactly what I needed.

They are not upfront with what the provider can offer for treatment. $150+ thrown away due to them not clearly informing me of their limitations. I understand it is due to government regulations, but if I had known they could only off two treatment options for ADHD, I would have not used their service.

I found this site extremely convenient and easy to navigate. Compared to other sites the costs are very reasonable. I was able to quickly book an appointment. My evaluation therapist was professional and thorough during my appointment. I was sent both a copy of my diagnosis and clear information about options moving forward. I only wish that it would have clearer that for medication management, they cannot prescribe stimulants in my state.

I felt heard, understood and able to communicate my needs. I was asked questions and not dismissed, I was able to share my actual symptoms without feeling judgment or that I was making things up. I received the information needed to proceed with treatment while leaving with a diagnosis that helps me to understand what I am going through and not labeled just because a diagnosis was needed for billing.

My clinician did an excellent job of framing the diagnostic picture and different algorithms of a plan of care integrating both therapy and medication. I needed a lot of redirection as I tend to wander in answering questions, and the clinician was both tactful and effective at narrowing my responses to the intention of the visit.

Were I to sum up my first visit, I would emphasize most strongly the respect I felt throughout the process for my condition and my desire to seek treatment. For the first time in ages, I felt as though the Doctor I saw wasn't hostile, openly accusatory of seeking certain medicines despite having a lifetime of proof before then that ADHD sabotaged many opportunities for me since childhood. The doctor empathized with my experiences and sympathized with the hurt being untreated caused to my life. He was courteous, professional, even funny at times. The Doctor didn't rush through the process and listened patiently to me as I went on as I can sometimes. I felt heard.

Dr. ** was thorough in his assessment. Went above and beyond. Finally diagnosed and feel validated! The only thing to note is that on this platform they can not prescribe any type of stimulant medication.

Was very informative. I did not read the fine print of medication types. They do not offer stimulants in Az and not able to give referral to organizations that do. I totally understand their position but a referral for appropriate care should be able to be give when appropriate. I enjoyed speaking with Gina.

It was ok, I guess. I just wish the medication guidelines for my state were different so I could also receive medication treatment instead of just the diagnosis appointment, but the diagnosis part was easy.

The appointment was very easy to schedule and there was one available within 24 hours. The appointment was quick but somehow surprisingly thorough and helpful. I learned new things about ADHD and was able to finally get the diagnosis I’ve needed to move forward. In comparison to the $1,300 quote I received from a local psychiatrist for an ADHD evaluation, this evaluation was way cheaper, much easier to schedule, and was still helpful and thorough. Great experience!

Be aware that if you are a no-show to your scheduled appointment, you will be charged the full $150.00 ($20 initial cost, $130 appointment cost). Although the website states there is a $75.00 no-show fee. I was charged $150.00 for the missed appointment due to a minor car accident the morning of my appointment. I reached out to customer service to let them know my circumstances and for clarification on the charges. No consideration was given for any refund amount, only credit towards a future appointment. Which after dealing with them, I chose not to re-schedule and take the full $150.00 hit for the missed appointment (for no service provided mind you).
