Our installers Eric and Valencia were wonderful and fully professional. They arrived on time, did an excellent job installing the new bed I purchased. They were neat and efficient. I could not expect more and was very pleased. I could not have asked for better service.

The memory foam I got from Sit ‘n Sleep is really comfortable. I went to a couple of other places and I wasn't really fond of how I felt on the bed and at Sit 'n Sleep, I was able to do the little test thing and it was pretty cool. It is the best choice. Also, their representative was great. The delivery team was almost early and my parents said that the delivery was really fast. Everything's been pretty good. The mattress is great compared to my previous bed and I sleep a little better now.
Hi Leila, We are glad that you are pleased with your new mattress and that our process was good for you. We wish you many years of wonderful sleep on your new mattress!!

We got a regular mattress from Sit 'n Sleep. We went to a store and the representative was pleasant. We had it delivered and my wife received it and she said that the people did a nice job. However, we're starting to get dents on it where we lie, which is annoying. And we've only had it like three months.
Hi Brian, please contact our Customer Service Department at 800-961-1997 and we can see if we can help - make sure that you rotate the mattress from head-to-foot periodically to make sure that the mattress wears evenly.

We had an older Sit 'n Sleep mattress for 8 years and we needed a new bed. And so, we purchased a new spring-type mattress from them. Their people were all professional every time I've been there. While both our old and new mattresses are fairly similar, the new one seems a bit nicer for the price. However, the older bed which was top-of-the-line seemed more comfortable than the newer one in the beginning. I went back to the store where I purchased the new mattress and mentioned that it was a little stiff. The people from the store told me that it would break in over time. Overall, Sit 'n Sleep is a great place to buy a mattress.
Thank You very much Antonio. We appreciate the kind words and hope that you have many years of great sleep on your new mattress!!

We’ve had Tempur-Pedic for over 10 years and we liked it when we got it but it was just getting too soft. About a month and a half ago we got the Aireloom from Sit ‘n Sleep. The new one is so much better. We went from a queen to a king and with a firm pillow top. There’s more room and I think I’m sleeping better. The pricing was top notch and the sales staff was really good and knowledgeable. Plus the guys that delivered were very quick, efficient, and set it up how I wanted it.
Hi Dave, Thanks so much for the positive review. We hope that you are happy (and get great sleep) on your new Aireloom mattress!! Here's to many years of great sleep!!

I was gonna buy a mattress from Costco, but they said it would take four to six weeks. Then I went to Jerome and they were overpriced, but when I went to Sit 'n Sleep, it was a good fit because of their price and the next delivery, which is a big plus. I purchased the Perfect Sleeper and it's better than the old bed that I had for three years. It has springs with the foam layer on top. The delivery worked out as expected as well.
Thanks for the positive review Paul, we are happy that you are happy!! We hope that your mattress provides you many years of great sleep!!

I had a great experience with Sit 'n Sleep. I liked their service. The manager helped me a lot and I appreciate that. I bought a bed from them and I feel comfortable right now. I was feeling bad on my back with my old mattress. It was hurting me a lot and I was deciding to see if it can get it better. With the new mattress, I sleep better and I sleep more. Sometimes I don’t want to wake up. My experience was perfect. It was quick and if I get a chance to get another bed, I can get it. They got a better bed at a better price. I hope that the experience plays more in the future and helps everybody.

We purchased a Beautyrest Black Luxury Firm for over $2200 from Sit N Sleep in Costa Mesa, CA less than two years ago (this is the third mattress in 15+ years, none of which previously had issues). We submitted a request to Sit N Sleep within 5 months of purchase as the mattress began to sag on either side of the bed where we sleep (we are not large people and there is no reason for a mattress to sag in that amount of time, especially a top of the line mattress). Our initial claim was denied stating it was "within normal range", yet the mattress had sagged over 5/8" in less that 5 months.
Last month, we went back to the store and spoke with the store manager who convinced us to buy a NEW mattress under the premise they would refund us for the old one once a second inspection was done. We had the second inspection completed less than two weeks ago and the mattress now has an impression of more than 1 1/4"!!! Even the inspector said that it was unusual to have such a depression in a short amount of time. Our second claim was DENIED today. When we called customer support, they gave us the runaround and indicated there is nothing they could or would do. They would not even transfer us to a supervisor for support.
We are extremely disappointed and plan to either dispute this with our CC company or hire a lawyer to recoup our losses. A $2200+ mattress should not sag 1 1/4" in less than two years. A company should stand by their warranties and their consumers who have been loyal customers for well over 15 years. We will NEVER buy another mattress from this fraudulent company.
Thanks,

I found mattresses online, went to store to see if they had something similar to compare. Was told I couldn't order the online mattresses at store. Placed order thru phone and was told I couldn't use the sale coupon because mattresses were under 699. Went to store to place order and then received call that my mattress will not be delivered because my order was different. Finally sorted the problem after I went to store. Asked if I needed to sign any paperwork, was told no everything they needed was completed. Next day I had to go back to store to sign paperwork.

A courtesy discount was a expected but never happened.

I love my bed, and I love that Kyle took the time to really talk to me about which bed would be the best for me. I've had back pain for 10 years, and he showed me the beds (and pillow height) that would put me in the best position to alleviate that. And, my back pain is so much better with my new bed. The only complaint I have is that I was supposed to receive a promotional package with pillows and sheets, and I did not receive it. I called twice and was put on hold for 20 minutes. Someone called me to ask about my experience, and I told him that the package was missing, and he said someone would call me, but it's been 2 weeks.
Hi Jaclyn - thanks for the kind words about Kyle - I will have someone follow up with you today regarding the promotional package so we can get that squared away with you - sorry for the delay.

We ordered 2 sets of twin XL. Upon delivery one mattress has two holes dime size in the cover fabric and one box spring has tears along the edge as if someone drags it across the floor. Called in right after delivery truck left to notify and request for exchange. As of today, 6/8/17, it has been a day shy of one month since 5/9 delivery, we still not have heard anything from Sit-n-Sleep or their vendor whom they deal business.
Sit-n-Sleep doesn't seem to care to stand behind their support once the order is placed and took the money. Furthermore, the mattress dimensions are smaller in width and length by 2 inches. They don't disclose this until AFTER the order is placed. It is printed on the receipt as APPROXIMATELY the size of the standard industry. That's very dishonest.

We purchased an Aireloom mattress from Sit 'n Sleep in Murrieta, CA in 2016. It failed within the first month. Sales told us to "break it in". We waited four months, it got worse. We got an inspection which deemed the mattress to be defective and we received an exchange but paid extra for a firmer mattress. This one failed too! Got another inspection after speaking with a snotty manager (the 3rd in a year). I was told today that this mattress was not deemed to be defective as it was one-half inch above the minimum fail measurements. SERIOUSLY? IT IS A FAIL, FAIL, FAIL ACCORDING TO OUR BACKS.
Customer service said they cannot do anything about it. We paid over $3000 for a piece of substandard junk. We even bought sheets and the mattress sack and cover which was HIGHLY "recommended". We were told Sit 'n Sleep will NOT ISSUE A REFUND EITHER. We now must go spend even more money to buy another mattress I guess. There are so many complaints about Sit 'n Sleep AND Aireloom, is there no recourse?
Our records indicate that this customer was advised on 6/2 of an outcome that was within the parameters she has outlined below. The manufacturer has agreed to take the product back and pickup for this customer is scheduled for 6/4/17.

Sit 'n Sleep has been around for 40 years here in our area and it seemed like all the policies were good. When we went to the store, the reps were great. And they literally had hundreds of beds to try. We tried eight that were in our price range and we picked the one we thought was the best. We bought a Simmons mattress and a box spring. We told them what day we wanted it delivered then it was delivered that day and everything went well. I've also recommended Sit 'n Sleep to a few people. They were having a really big sale when we made our purchase so we told four different people that were here the night we got our delivery. The Simmons bed is also very comfortable and we sleep pretty good in it. My wife really likes it.

I've been buying bedding every month or so from Sit n Sleep and they are so soft. I've tried looking for affordable bedding at Bed Bath and Beyond, through Amazon and directly from the manufacturers but nothing really compares to Sit 'n Sleep for quality, price and delivery. I can go to one website and know that anything I find, because sometimes they have deals, is going to be affordable, get to my house in a few days and be of high quality. Sometimes I order things that take a month, or rip immediately or just don't look good. Highly recommend Sit 'n Sleep.
Thanks for your your kind words!! We really appreciate your business and we will continue to try and earn it!

The selection is outstanding, the sales associates are knowledgeable and helpful, and customer service is available to answer any questions that may arise. Would never go anywhere else!
Thank You so much for your kind words. We appreciate that you have been such a loyal customer and we would like to thank you for your business! Here's to many wonderful nights sleep on your new set!!

I'm going on my 3rd mattress from them because the first 2 had warranty defects and now they're trying to claim that this 3rd one is out of warranty because I didn't have a box spring. Whaaat?? They are a poor quality company who doesn't stand behind their products. I am convinced they sell defective mattresses, which is why they have the ability to discount their products, unlike higher-end retailers like Bloomingdale's and Macy's. I will never buy from them again.

We did not give the service men our credit card number because they didn't say anything to us about a service fee. We have no idea how they were able to get our credit card number and charge us the service fee. We feel that it was an invasion of privacy.

Terrible product, terrible service - I purchased a CalKing size adjustable bed, and we have had anything but bad experience after another. The first thing we notice is that the particular adjustable we purchased was supposed to have a light under and it didn't. Second, when turning on the massager, it kept making an awful noise (not soothing at all!). Third, since the bed is composed of two units, they keep sliding apart, creating a huge gap in between the two. When we called customer service with this issues, they told us that 3 different companies would be handling this. The first one came out to fix the lights, and they only brought lights for one side, they said we would need to call back for the other set, 2 hours later, the lights fell out of the bed.
After 3 weeks, they came out to correct the massage problem, and apparently, the noise was due because someone forgot to put in the padding?! Next, they called us from the store letting us know we had to pick up the lights ourselves, and we would also have to install them ourselves! We are still waiting for the 3rd company to come out and do a mattress inspection and figure out why they are lumpy and keep sliding apart. Customer service is very rude too... This company sucks! Save yourselves the trouble and go elsewhere!!!

On or about Oct. 23, 2016 I purchased the above-mentioned bed for approx. $7000.00. The assistant sales manager told me that any returns can be made within 30 days without any fees. If I waited anytime after that I would be able to exchange the bed and platform but pay a restocking fee. The bed has been slept on only for 2 weeks. I wasn't all that comfortable sleeping on it and talked to the assistant manager as well as the store manager, and they both stated to sleep on the bed for approximately 30 days before requesting a return and/or exchange. I was then told I could only exchange the mattress but NOT the platform. I was upset but ended the phone call.
Now due to complete relocation to another residence I asked the store manager about returning the entire bed but he told me after talking with his customer service department, it was not possible to return or exchange but exchange ONLY the mattress. I told the manager this totally unacceptable and ended the phone call. He did advise me that I signed several documents but it was done on the iPad of the assistant sales manager, and I did NOT receive any copies of those documents. Now I must either ship the bed from Long Beach, CA to Rockaway Park, NY or leave it at the apartment in Long Beach, CA. If I could give this company zero stars I would. I am seriously thinking of filing a complaint with the CA BBB.

I have had to exchange 4 mattresses in the last 16 months, and now a 5th. They do not tell the truth about their product when selling it to you. I bought a discounted bed marked 1999.00 for less the half that price, not knowing when the bed was delivered. It was not just a display, but used, returned and then sanitized. The other beds they exchanged were new, so I thought until one of the customer service reps informed me that it was yet another returned, used mattress. I had yet another mattress delivered last night, and I could not sleep on it because I was waking up with arms and legs falling asleep. I am going to call them once again to tell them to come pick this one up and either return my money so I can shop elsewhere or have a mattress delivered straight from the manufacturer so I know it is not USED!

We purchased a mattress like 10 years ago and liked the exchange policy, so when we were ready for a new bed we sought out Sit n' Sleep. I don't recall being charged a restocking fee last time we purchased a bed. The main reason we went back to SNS was because we were able to try out the bed and return it if it didn't work out. What really ticks me off is I raved about this policy to the salesperson and told him last time I thought we returned beds twice and finally found the perfect fit for us. He never mentioned the $500 restocking fee and I even told him that my husband and I were split on which bed to buy so I would try his out first and if it didn't work out we would come back and get mine (which was more expensive). Again no mention of the restocking fee.
I don't know if there was something in the contract but I know I did not pay $1,000 in restocking fees with my last purchase. SNS should be required to have you sign a single document explaining the restock fee and that the 30 day trial means one way or another you are stuck with a SNS bed. Shame on you Sit 'n Sleep. No wonder you are closing stores. I was a repeat customer but now I am just an angry one.

I paid over $7,000 dollars for an adjustable frame/mattress king size bed to help with my husband and my snoring. Little did I know for the next three months I could count on one finger the nights I have slept as I have found myself almost on the floor several times throughout the evening. I am so exhausted. I want to torch this bed. I have called the store and asked for some remedy. At the end of the bed, there are metal brackets attached to the frame that keep the mattress from falling down. There needs to be similar brackets bolted to the sides to keep the mattresses from falling off the side of the bed as well.

So sorry I went to Sit 'n Sleep! I should have known, when I purchased my Beautyrest mattress, the salesman was very pushy about suggesting I buy a MATTRESS PROTECTOR. That's because he probably is well aware of the fact that Beautyrest mattresses REEK of chemicals for weeks. I tried for a week to sleep on it and could barely stand the smell. (I did not start out with a mattress protector). I finally gave up after dragging it outside to air out, febreezing my bedroom, and running a fan on the bottom of the mattress for 3 days!
Of course, a call to the hostile "Customer Service" dept. was unproductive. I then went to a different store and purchase an "odor blocking" mattress protector for $100. And that helps a lot, but I can still smell the nauseating chemicals a little and just can't be near it. Trying to see if I can get a refund through Beautyrest because this mattress should just be considered DEFECTIVE. Then maybe a credit card dispute on the charge. And maybe file a small claims court case for a refund. I am NOT going to pay an exchange fee. I never want to buy from them again!

On 12/15/16, we purchased a CA split king adjustable bed set (2 Leggett and Platt platforms, 2 CA split king Serta IComfort 36x84 mattresses, one medium firm, one firm). Salesperson said she was lowering the price of the firmer bed because she could not give us any free sheets, etc. as I requested. We also purchased the "encasements," the mattress toppers and 2 sets of sheets; total with tax: $6757.95.
The next day, 12/16/15, we went back to the store (in Palm Desert) to take another look at the beds as we were on vacation and the beds were going to be shipped until the following week. The new salesperson questioned why we had purchased two different beds (same brand, same model (I-Comfort), but different sub-models. She showed us that the firm mattress was 1-1/2 inches higher than the med. firm. I asked her about the "lower price" that the former salesperson had given us on the firm mattress. She said that was NOT a lower price: it WAS the price, (So the salesperson the day before had lied to us.).
Further, that to exchange the existing firm mattress for the same sub-model as the med. firm model, we would have to pay $200 more for the firm mattress. At that point, we again questioned the exchange/no-return policy, this time more carefully, and didn't like what we heard. We immediately cancelled the entire order. The salesperson said she could not print out a credit and simply wrote "cancelled" on the original copy of our sales invoice (I told her to sign her name and date it also). That should have been our first clue as to how dishonest this company is.
On 12/28/15, 12 days later and no credit appearing on our credit card, I called Sit 'n Sleep Customer Service Department. NO CREDIT HAD BEEN ISSUED even though the person to whom I spoke had the information that the sale had been cancelled 12 days previously! He said the credit would appear within the next few days. After "the next few days" passed without any credit having been issued, I called the credit card company and registered a dispute; the sale amount has been removed from my credit card, but only as a "conditional credit." That means that Sit 'n Sleep has yet to issue the credit.
Today is 1/1/16, 17 DAYS since we cancelled the order!! Fortunately, we cancelled. I can only imagine the headaches we would have encountered had we taken delivery and had to deal with these crooks. BTW, we went to a local store upon our return from Palm Desert and bought almost the exact same merchandise, same platform, almost identical mattresses, sheets, protector, etc. The total bill: $3800.

We purchased a $3000 Kingsdown mattress as well as the $300 plus mattress protector and two very expensive pillows on Sunday, October 11. And when these items were delivered on Tuesday, we noticed the mattress looked defective (mountaining with sloping edges). First thing Wednesday morning, my husband went to the store and was told we needed "to sleep on it for 30 days". I went with my husband again later that morning and the manager told us we had voided our warranty by installing it in a sleigh bed (which we had told the saleslady on Sunday that we owned and which are on display in the store). After about 1/2 hour of arguing and talking to customer service, they agreed to send an inspector on Thursday and suggested we try their bed frame.
The bed frame was delivered Thursday but did not change the feel of the mattress. We still felt like we were sliding off of the bed or sleeping on a wrinkle if we rolled toward the middle (which was definitely NOT easy to do). No inspector was with the delivery people. They knocked pictures off of the wall in the hall and did not speak English. There was NO inspection of the mattress. On Friday we went into the store again after contacting customer service (the lady there told us we could do a warranty exchange and would NOT have to pay the restocking fee). After trying several other mattresses (the model we had purchased was now on sale for $1250), we selected a BeautyRest which was nearly $1000 less than the original purchase. They refused to refund the difference and we were told they would give us a set of sheets to make up the difference.
After nearly two hours of haggling (so much for customer satisfaction guaranteed), we selected a Aireloom mattress that was a little bit more expensive and the manager agreed to make it an even exchange. The saleslady then proceeded to tell us that this was a "comfort" exchange and that we could not exchange or return the new mattress we had selected. I finally got the manager to agree that the mattress we had was defective and that this should be considered a "warranty" exchange not "comfort". When the new mattress was delivered this Tuesday, we discovered it is 1 inch shorter and 1 inch lacking in width compared to the advertised measurements. I contacted the customer service department and was immediately forwarded to a recording to leave a message. They did not return my call until a couple of days later when I called them again and again.
So we have another defective mattress, a store that has been uncooperative and still owe the credit company $3000. The company said they would have Aireloom "custom" build a mattress to the correct measurements and deliver it about two weeks later. When this third mattress was delivered and before I even had it moved into the house, I measured it to discover that it was a good 1 1/2 inches shorter than the one I had already. Aireloom responded to my email saying that I did not know how to measure a mattress and that they often do not measure as advertised. I refused this delivery and contacted customer service. They at NO time said that all mattresses measure smaller (within 1-2 inches smaller than advertised). I was told to go to the store and pick another mattress and that if it was less expensive, they would refund the difference.
We found the original Beautyrest that we had looked at to begin with for $1839.99 which actually measured 60x80 and was very comfortable. However, when the mattress was delivered (two weeks later because they could not honor my request for a morning delivery), it was 3 inches shorter than the one in the store. Again we refused the delivery and called customer service. They were supposed to return my call on Tuesday but did not and after fifteen or more tries, I finally reached someone who said that often mattresses are 1-2 inches smaller than advertised and that they might not be able to find one to satisfy our request for an ACTUAL queen size bed even though the one in the store measured exactly right. They will be delivering our 5th mattress this Saturday sometime between 11am and 3pm (again not the morning delivery I requested) and hopefully it will be at least close to the correct size.
I asked for invoices to be sent to me via email and I received only a partial one with no explanation on how they intend to refund the difference in the cost of the two mattress (which is over $980, substantially more than a set of sheets should cost me). By the way, the deluxe mattress protector now has a broken zipper from taking it off and putting it on the defective mattresses SOOO many times. No customer satisfaction here! Or your mattress is FREE? Whatever. I would never recommend Sit N Sleep even to my worst enemy. What a rip off!!!

You're killing me Larry! I purchased a $2,500 Sherwood mattress and box spring from Sit 'n Sleep Westminster in February 2014. Recently I noticed that the cover on the bottom of our Sherwood mattress was tearing away in all four corners. Since we were only 20 months into our 20-year warranty I called Sit 'n Sleep. They referred me to Precise Mattress inspections to schedule an appointment. It took a few weeks because apparently there's only one 'inspector' and he only makes it to Huntington Beach on Thursdays - or some BS like that.
The guy (Precise Mattress Inspectors) shows up and takes a bunch of pictures and does his thing. I didn't watch because I figured he was a professional and surely this was a warranty issue? Right Larry? On his way out he mentioned that he observed a stain and that Sit 'n Sleep would respond pretty fast. He gave me no indication that this would or would not be approved.
As I was putting the sheets back on the bed, I look for this 'stain' that the guy mentioned. You had to look pretty hard, but I found it. Realistically the kind of stains that we are talking about are only going to be in two places: at the 'head' or in the 'groin' area. I'm happy to report that it was near the head. I found it right about where if I drooled the stain would be. FYI, Websters defines a 'stain' as, "a spot not easily removed." I grabbed a damp washcloth (my wife hates it when I do stuff like that) and wiped over it a few times. Viola... no more stain.
Since it wasn't a 'stain' I'll refer to it as a 'mark'. As I'm wiping the mark off I'm thinking to myself, "What does a mark have to do with the cover tearing on the opposite side of the mattress? Did the mark leak all the way through?" I flipped the mattress over and fortunately, there was no mark there. Well, I got my Sit 'n Sleep response letter today. It's no wonder why they are fast - it's a form letter, a rejection form letter I might add. After reading all the complaints here, I'm wondering if anyone actually gets their warranty submission approved. Here's what the form letter reported: Mattress body impressions measured within normal warranty parameters. White law label containing warranty information has been removed. Product is stained or soiled. Damaged/broken frame does not provide sufficient support for mattress of this size/weight.
You don't need to be an attorney to see what's going on here. The question is why would Sit 'n Sleep stand behind the manufacturers and not the customers? Are Sherwood and Sit 'n Sleep crappy companies or am I a crappy customer? Are you crappy customers or did we shop for crappy products at a crappy store? I don't know.
Regardless of labels, supposed stains and questionable bed frames Sit 'n Sleep has an issue with the cover tearing off of the Sherwood mattress. And it's not like gorillas change the sheets. This kind of stuff should not happen unless there are problems with the materials that Sherwood used or the workmanship. We actually purchased a nice fitting and expensive set of sheets from Sit 'n Sleep. I guess that's the last purchase we'll be making from them. Larry, the big question is: Who is gonna get that class action lawsuit going? I've included pictures. I tried to capture an image of the stain or mark but to be honest, it's just not there anymore.

I spoke with Mindy there at Precise Mattress to set this appointment up and for Technician David to come out and do an inspection.
The date for the inspection was set for 9/4/15, my birthday. David from Precise Mattress came out and took measurements, pictures and he tore the bed completely apart. David then took more pictures of the frame. David suggested we turn the mattress to a new position. I then ask WHY!!! I only had the mattress for 34 days, why does the mattress need to be turned??? I was instructed by Salesman Rudy to turn the mattress every 6 months. David told me so the mattress could wear evenly, so I helped him turn the mattress as we put the bed back together. Right then and there a RED FLAG went up! I then ask if the sink hole was 1 1/2 inches, and David tells me it is 2 3/4 inches deep!!! I then say, "Okay, I should be getting a NEW mattress." David tells me he is going to submit the report along with the pictures and I would hear from Sit 'n Sleep in 5 to 7 days, and I did.

Really Now??? They appreciated me allowing the technician to enter my home and complete their evaluation. HOWEVER: According to the inspection results, my claim has been DENIED for the following reason(s): Although mattress body impressions exceed normal warranty parameters, frame does not meet warranty requirements & does not provide sufficient support for mattress of this size/weight.
Unfortunately, we are restricted by warranty parameters set forth by the manufacturer and sincerely regret that we were unable to obtain authorization for the replacement of my mattress. Alternatively, we may be able to offer a discount on the purchase of a new mattress. I may present my letter at any Sit 'n Sleep store if I would like to take advantage of this offer!!!
ON 9/14/15 I called Sit 'n Sleep Customer Service at 800 961-1997 and spoke with Alex. I explained to Alex that the frame that I had and also approved by Salesman Rudy, at the time of my purchase, was the correct frame for this size/weight bed according to their paperwork and diagram they sent me with the DENIAL letter. Alex then put me on hold. He came back and said I am correct and he was going to get in touch with Precise Mattress and have them correct their report. I then asked, how long would this take because I needed this situation to be handled and done with! I'm now just a little frustrated He tells me by the end of the day.
Well lo and behold, the day goes by and the next day goes by. I then call back on 9/16/15 and reminds Alex of his word in calling me back. Alex, then gives me the oh so sorry line - he was waiting on feedback from Precise Mattress. Well, to wrap this thing all up, Alex tells me YES, I do have the correct frame, but now he's telling me the frame is bent and that is why my claim has been DENIED. Regardless of what my original DENIAL letter says about having the wrong size frame!!! I sincerely hoped and prayed that Sit 'n Sleep would make good on the $1800.00 purchase I made with them. All I wants was what I paid for. Nothing more and nothing less!
Needless to say, I, Yolanda **, am going to Small Claims and sue Sit 'n Sleep and Precise Mattress for fraudulent advertisement. I told them I am taking everyone involved DOWN. I will PEACEFULLY stand in front of their store and picket and hand out copies of all of these negative reviews to potential customers going in their store and let's see then what happens.
All I wanted was what I paid for. I work HARD for my MONEY!!! A girl has to do what a girl has to do and hopefully some of you will do the same and then maybe, just maybe we can stop some of this FRAUDULENT SHENANIGANS by Sit 'n Sleep and their Allied Precise Mattress!!! P.S. "Randy" is the owner of Precise Mattress and his no. is **. I even gave him a call and ask what is going on with these reports his technicians are producing. After trying out a few mattresses I wasn't sure I had found what I wanted when Russell said they were having some "special deals" for Labor Day and that he could offer a mattress that I had seen at a discount. The price seemed good and I agreed to buy it. He didn't go into any further details. When processing the payment I was asked to sign on an ipad at random points without any explanation other than it was the invoice and everything would be emailed to me. I was told that their mattresses come with warranties where if it sinks over an inch, they would replace it free of charge providing it wasn't stained. There was absolutely nothing mentioned that it was not returnable.
When I received the mattress and I flipped it over I saw a yellow sticker saying it was a second hand item. There was no way I agreed to buy a second hand item and when I checked the delivery notice as well as the emailed invoice, nothing there mentioned anything about the item being used. There was no red tag informing me what was the used material either.
I called up customer service on 9/4 requesting my warranty card or policy. Though I called twice and they said they would email it I never received it. I realized that this was beginning to feel like a scam. I called up Russell and asked him why my mattress was second hand. I told him that if I wanted to get a used mattress I would have got it off Craigslist. Russell went on to tell me that he told me it was used, that we sleep on hotel mattresses that were used and that I should have figured out that it was the reason behind the discount. How am I supposed to "figure out" why I've been given a discount? Then he tells me that I cannot return the mattress even though it was only a day old, because I signed the invoice and he went through it with me. I never agreed to buy a used mattress. He never went through the non-return policy with me and it was pretty much a bait and switch move.

Hi Nicole, we did not know about this review when you placed it. We found out about it this week. I researched your record in our system and it appears that you were able to find your law tag from your mattress so that Serta would honor their warranty. It also appears that in June of 2016 when you found your law tag that you called us and we escalated the issue to our Serta representative and they granted an exchange. An exchange that we completed for you in June of 2016. According to our records, nothing else is pending for you and you remedied the issue by finding the law tags. We selected Sit N Sleep because of their return policy. If we were going to spend thousands of dollars on a bed, we wanted to be sure we liked it. We went through their assessment process and a few beds were recommended to us. We tried them all and settled on a $4,000 Tempurpedic bed. It has been 54 days since our bed was delivered. Their policy is to accept returns anytime from day 31-60, with a restocking fee of 20% but not to exceed $500. Or so we thought. While my husband has adjusted to the bed quite well, I only sleep for the first 3 hours I am in bed and then I wake up all night long and in the morning my body aches, every day.
Today, I called them to arrange for looking at other options. It was then I was informed that our replacement bed must be of equal or greater value of the original, PLUS the restocking fee. If I find a bed that we like better that is less than the original, I must still spend up to the original price on other products in their store. This bit of information was never communicated to us. I am beyond frustrated.

I had to purchase a new mattress in June 2015 because my husband was ill and died in our bed from kidney failure in May. My friend went with me to choose my new mattress. One too hard, another way too soft, the last one was firm but gave just enough. The bed I got was lumpy and felt used. It has a hump in the middle so you hang at the edge of the mattress. My sister stayed with me one night as we were going away and leaving early. She said she had a terrible night feeling like she had to hang on to stay in the bed. My daughter stayed here to house sit and called to say the bed was awful. She tried to sleep in the middle and kept rolling off. When their guy came out to test the mattress I stayed in to watch the stupid cylinder test and it did not pass. I mentioned to the guy that it failed and he agreed but said it's up to whoever reads the report. I will not stop here even if I have to picket their stores. Shame on them!

Poor quality 3 times. 1. Bought Stearns and Foster's king sized mattress and box springs. Pd around $1,400. After 6 months could not enjoy. 2. S and S sent replacement Stearns and Foster. After 6 or so months same sagging problem. 3. Went to store where we were allowed to select another brand mattress because Stearns and Foster were no longer sold there. Got new mattress that also sagged. Called company for an inspection because we could not get good night sleep from the replacement after about 6 months. Said they would not replace mattress or give any refund of money because it wasn't within their "tolerance range". Bed didn't sag enough to warrant replacement or refund. Had 7 or 8 year guarantee. Will never buy anything from S and S again.

I called the store & after getting transferred all over they said it's impossible for the mattress to have bugs. They are sealed & sprayed. I asked them to send someone to inspect it. They don't do that he said. We never had this problem & I am concerned because my baby sleeps next to our bed! It is now 6/4/15 5:00am. My BF was getting ready for work & complains of more bites. I get up with the light in my phone & check the sheets & under the mattress protector & find a TEAR about 2 inches long. I check between the headboard & the mattress & there was big dark Bed Bug! So now I have a 1 month old mattress with a tear & bugs! They can't admit to the bug part but will charge me a restocking fee! I'm now thinking they sold me a restocked mattress.

I bought the beautyrest mattress from sit 'n sleep in May 2014 and within the first 6 months it had deep body impressions on both sides. In march 2015 called for an inspection and they did send an inspector. First thing he said was that there's obvious impressions on both sides. He did his inspection and took pictures then told me sit 'n sleep will be contacting me with their decision. He gave a copy of the verification of inspection that I signed and even wrote no stains.
A week later I received their written decision stating that "although mattress body impressions exceed normal warranty parameters the frame does not need warranty requirements and does not provide sufficient support for mattress of this size and weight." I don't understand that because looking at their description of acceptable support, my frame fits in that description. I have a metal frame with 7 legs and two horizontal supports and one vertical support more than enough adequate support for a California king mattress. In fact my bed frame is specifically for king or California king, it can't go any smaller.

We purchased a Kingsdown mattress from, of all places, Sit N Sleep (Cerritos). We had many good things about the Kingsdown brand, so we decided to purchase a Kingsdown mattress. We tested several mattresses in the store for well over three hours, laid on the Kingsdown bed for an extensive period of time, and decided it felt wonderful. We were told we had a 30 day sleep trial. We paid $3,400 for the bed and went home to await delivery. The bed was delivered a week later and was set up. When we laid on this bed, it felt nothing like the bed in the store. We voiced our concern and were told the bed would need to broke in and to call customer service.
Approaching 30 days, the bed was still horrible. We called Sit n Sleep and told them of our problem. They said we could exchange the bed if we paid a $500 stocking fee. We asked for a refund instead, the customer service rep said that we had to exchange the mattress for another 30 day sleep trial (plus the $500 restocking fee). Their solution after the exchange and second 30 day sleep trial if you are not happy with the outcome is "you are stuck with it."
So, I asked the CSR, "basically what you are telling me is that we can only exchange the mattress once and if we don't like the alternative we are stuck with the purchase, what is your return policy?" "We don't have a return policy" was her response. So much for a sleep trial, satisfied customers, and excellent customer service. I wake up every morning with a migraine headache, my shoulders and back hurt, my arms and hands are numb, and I toss and turn all night long because I can't get comfortable. Be wary of buying any bed at Sit N Sleep, it's not good for your health!

The Sitnsleep product support and warranty service is not supported by the Palmdale store nor the Sitnsleep warranty company. They fail to provide customer service for defective merchandise. The remote control for the bed that was purchased in January 2012 is defective and this was reported to the store before the warranty expired. They provided a phone number of the warranty company. The warranty company refuses to accept our word that the control is defective and wanted us to hire an electrician to verify the fault. Then they said we would have to mail the control to them so they could verify that the control was defective before they would replace it.
That would make the bed non functional for approximately one month. The bed was purchased as a compatible substitute for a hospital bed for a stroke patient. Since the store will not support the customer when the bed fails to work as advertised the consumer should avoid buying a bed from this company. Any place that sells a product that refuse to support or honor their warranty should be put out of business permanently.

I looked up Sit 'n Sleep complaints and was afraid I was going to have a war on my hands to get the mattress exchanged. I called them and they sent the mattress inspector out to look at the mattress. He made his report and a few days later I received my denial letter. I do not agree with the method they use for measuring the mattress. They go from side to side in the sagged area. As I have an engineering background the measuring practice they use is in my opinion laughable. So I went in and discussed with the manager of the location. I was loaded for bear. She was sympathetic to my concerns and told me to call customer service.
I called them and raised my concerns and they relayed it to the Sealy representative. I still am unsure who pulled the strings or gave the approval but they are sending me a new mattress tomorrow and gave me full credit for the old one. I am going back to a memory Foam mattress. I had bought a hybrid mattress. I would not recommend the hybrid if my experience is any indication of how they were. By the mattress inspectors measurement it had sagged side to side by 5/8 of an inch in 5 months. From head to foot my measurement was over 2 inches. I think that is how true sag should be measured. In any event they handled my issue and I am satisfied. I don't know if other people on this review site gave up too easily or had other issues affecting the warranty procedure. But as always let your voice be heard.

You Are Killing Me, **!! INDEED! Let me start by saying my in-store transaction with Sit ‘N Sleep (969 La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, 90038) was seamless. Delivery was perfect, with the exception of the mattress protector which was the wrong size. The delivery person told me to refuse delivery and I would be sent a new one. A new one in the correct size was delivered the following day. I couldn't have been more pleased with the whole experience.
Things then began to go south quickly. A charmer (not so much) named ** called from the company and said that a new mattress protector was coming to me via UPS. I informed him I'd already received one and he got a bit huffy. I was told that when UPS delivered the other mattress protector I better get back to the store ASAP or I'd be charged again. EXCUSE ME? I told ** I would phone the company when It arrived and they could send someone to pick it up since it was their mistake. When the item arrived, as promised, I called the company to arrange a pick-up. I gave detailed instructions that the package (a rather large one) would be left on the front stoop, as I would not be home.
When I returned home, the package was still there as were 2 phone calls from Sit ‘N Sleep (marked urgent!) saying that their "team" was there for pick-up and where was I? This box is large and easily visible from the street! The "team" was either too stupid or too lazy to get out of their truck! I called customer service and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told no one was available, but I would be called back. Called back two times more. It's been 2 weeks. Guess who won't be hearing from Sit ‘N Sleep? Guess who won't ever use this company again??
Why do they hire such obviously ignorant people to staff the customer service department? They have no ability to rectify any situation or indeed do any type of support service at all. Pathetic. Anyway, I'll be dropping the box by the store today. I want to put this whole thing behind me. After reading all these other reviews I realize I should NEVER have dealt with this company and I can only advise others to steer clear. On 03/10/2014, I called Sit n Sleep customer service regards to my purchase of a queen mattress set because the box mattress is broken.. A week ago Sit n Sleep sent a inspector to view the my daughter's queen mattress set that I purchased on 12/2012. The problem with the mattress set was the box spring broke in pieces on one side. So the inspector took pictures of it, and told me that I will get a letter from Sit n Sleep. The letter came today on 03/10/2014, and it said there was stains on the mattress, inadequate support from improper frame, and Foundation border/grid wire damaged (not a manufacturing defect). There is no stains on the mattress, a cheap made frame was given to me free by Sit n Sleep for purchasing the Sealy queen set. My daughter is a heavy set young lady, and I felt when I bought this Sealy queen set from Sit n Sleep, I thought I was buying a quality mattress from a quality mattress company, Sit n Sleep.
So Sit n Sleep has denied me to give me a new box spring mattress.. In order for me to get a new mattress, I must buy a new box spring, and a new frame, then Sit n Sleep will honor a new mattress. But I do not want a new mattress, and I just want a new box spring that is strong enough to hold my daughter. After I read the letter, I called Sit n Sleep customer service, the lady was rude, and she didn't want to hear about my complaint about the inspection. She said that my daughter abused, and I said, "please excuse for being a heavy set young lady." I told the representative from Sit n Sleep, that it's not my daughter's fault for being heavy, and also not her fault that her dad bought a cheap mattress from Sit n Sleep. The representative tells me she is heavy set, and her mattress hasn't broke. She even told me that she bought from Sit n Sleep, and she has no problem. I felt insulted because she was comparing herself to my daughter.
I ask to speak to a manager or Supervisor, and the representative told me that no one with authority was there to speak with me, and if I spoke to one with authority, I was going to get the same result. I told her she doesn't know what the outcome of a manager decision because that's why she is not a manager, just a regular employee who is lacking people skills. So what if my daughter is a heavy set young lady, the mattress should be strong enough to hold her, and regardless of her weight. My daughter did not abuse the mattress nor the box spring. The mattress is not stained, and the box is broken because cheap quality manufacturing from Sealy, and cheap quality being sold at Sit n Sleep. I could of got a better quality mattress at the Goodwill or Salvation Army. But instead, I bought the queen set at Sit n Sleep, which no better than the store I mentioned. All I want is a good quality box spring, and a good quality frame. That's all I want, and being judge by a mattress company, Sit n Sleep. It's their products that are not made well, especially that mattress set they sold to me, Sit n Sleep shouldn't be in business. After one night we called the store and said there was a problem. They said they would send an inspector. That took almost a month. The inspector (very nice) from Precise Mattress Co. filled out a report. I had to ASK for a copy of the report and I asked him to sign it. I asked for his business card, he had none. Our problems: 1. very squishy, not the firm on we bought in the store. 2. It sloped, not flat. 3. too narrow. Cal King should be 72-72" wide; ours was 69-70" and the sheets don't fit properly.
After a week , I called the salesman, Russell **, who said he would follow up. He called me back 2 days later and said, Simmons was going to take action and he didn't know yet what they would do but he was to be off the next 3 days and wanted me to know that something was in the works. I delivered for Sit N Sleep for about 10 yrs. They void any type of warranties that they feel will affect the re-sale of the mattress. Do not be fooled. These mattresses do not go back to the manufacturer. They are brought back to the warehouse, cleaned up a bit, re-bagged and sold to someone else as new after you have been charged a re-stocking fee and a price difference if there is one. They also do this with the heavy duty frames they pick up as old haul-aways. They spray paint them, re-box them and sell them for up to $120. This company is a huge fraud. As a delivery person, if I picked up a warranty exchange and did not notice a stain that may have been on it, I would be charged for that mattress. I don't understand why, if it supposedly goes back to manufacturer for a credit. On the other hand, I do understand that a stained mattress cannot be resold!

Fake inspections in order to void warranties - I bought a $2,600 Simmons mattress from the Brea store. The mattress was set up in our home by the Sit and Sleep staff. In just months, the cushion top was drooping on both sides. It felt like you were sleeping in a body shaped cavity. We called Sit and Sleep, and very quickly they referred the warranty inspection to Precise Mattress Inspection. Adam came out to "inspect" our mattress. We left the room during the "inspection" only to walk in on Adam fooling with the mattress frame. I did not understand at first what he was doing. But then Adam stood up and announced that, "That is your problem, the frame is too big for the mattress making it sag on this side.” He then quoted twice, "A mattress is like a house; without a good foundation it will ruin the house."
Two weeks later, we received a letter from Sit and Sleep saying that: 1) The foundation border/grid wire damaged (not a manufacturing defect); 2) The frame provides insufficient support. Law tag has been removed. Therefore, they were denying a replacement of the mattress. After this, we started searching on the Internet regarding complaints against Sit and Sleep and Precise Mattress Inspection. It seems clear that this is a practice of Sit and Sleep in order to void mattress warranty. Precise Inspection tells their staff to find, or create any situation that they can to void warranties. Terrible practice, we should have gone to Costco and bought a better bed for half the price.

Sit 'n Sleep and Serta act in collusion to prevent either of the two companies to provide warranty protection. Neither stand behind the product once the customer purchases. Serta (and all the other manufacturers) gives a 10-year warranty until you actually try to access it. My mattress is less than 7 years old but drastically sags in the middle. When you call Sit 'n Sleep, they send out an "independent third party" to inspect the mattress. The so-called "independent third party" is paid by the manufacturer which calls to the fact that they are not independent and in the best interest of the manufacturer, not to find the mattress should be replaced.
The mattress industry sets a standard that cannot be met and then they don't have to replace the mattress. According to their measurements, I missed the cutoff by 1/8". Then Sit 'n Sleep offers to sell the customer a new mattress at a discounted price. Since this is the second time I have gone through this process, I wish to file a formal complaint against the business practices of both the vendor and the manufacturer.

This bed is harder than bricks - not at all like the one in the store. But I guess they forgot to tell us about how all the beds in the store are broken in and the one you purchase won't be anything like the one in the store.
We know about the $500 restocking fee, so this must be where they make their money and can charge you less upfront. They make all their money on the back end because they have a crummy customer service policy. If we ever get satisfaction out of this, I will be amazed. At this point, we will be telling everyone we know not to use Sit ‘N Sleep. If you haven't purchased a mattress from them yet, run fast right out of the gate. I purchased the whole package - mattress, box spring, frame from Sit 'n Sleep in December 2010. Fifteen months later, the wood in the box spring broke. I called it in. They sent an independent inspection company out three weeks later. They submitted a report. I just received the letter from Sit 'n Sleep on 04/06/12 stating the reason the box spring broke was due to inadequate support from improper frame. I called customer service stating I received the frame from Sit 'n Sleep so please replace my box spring. After going up the chain of management, they kept telling me that the manufacturer does not cover this. What can I do?

We purchased a Kingsdown Sleep to live 800 from this outfit. We had had a great prior experience with a Kingsdown mattress we had purchased in New York, so we decided to purchase a Kigsdown product again. We used their computerized bed to determine our individual sleep firmness, laid on the appropriate bed, and it felt wonderful. So far great! We were told we had a 30 day sleep trial. We paid $4,000 for the bed and went home to await delivery. The bed was delivered a week later and was set up. We lay on this bed and it felt nothing like the bed in the store. We voiced our concern and were told the bed would need to break in.
Approaching 30 days, the bed was still horrible. We called Sit ‘n Sleep and told them of our problem. They said we could exchange the bed if we paid a $500 stocking fee and bought a higher priced bed. There's your sleep trial. Now a year later, we have a horrible bed with big ruts in both sides and a stiff barrier in the middle. We call KingsDown and voice our concerns. We get a call from Sit ‘n Sleep informing us that they will send out an inspector. The inspector comes out and tells us nothing.
One week later we get a letter from Sit ‘n Sleep telling us the bed is not defective, but we can get a discount on yet another bed if we want to pay again. We instead go to Sears in Riverside and buy a Serta top of the line mattress for less than half the price of the Kingsdown. We are finally sleeping on a comfortable bed which we purchased from folks who talk straight and still know the meaning of customer service.

On 11-15-2011, I purchased a Simmons Beauty Rest mattress for $1,800, plus sales tax. Mattress was delivered 1 week later. The first night of sleep, both my husband and I rolled in the center of the bed and were not able to sleep on the edge of the bed. It was like laying in a hammock.
On the 3rd night sleeping on this mattress we called the sales lady, Yolonda ** to complain. She directed our call to the main factory, in Gardena, CA. They scheduled an inspector for the 29th of November, who upon inspecting the mattress, stated before measuring he could see the sinking of the mattress in the center, and told us for a brand new mattress this was the first time he'd had seen a 1" dip and thought it was faulty sewing in the center of the mattress. We asked for a receipt on which were only measurements, and were told he could lose his job if stated more than the measurements.
We waited a week and contacted the factory and were old they would give us 20% if we wanted to purchase another mattress. But she stated that she noticed sagging under the bed and we needed more slats. We told her the inspector never told us about this and actually told us everything about the bed and the setup was as required.
Our bedroom set was brand new. But we didn't know and contacted the furniture store who sold us the bedroom set who immediate had 2 men come out the next day. These guys told us that the new box spring was not sagging therefore how could the mattress be sagging from the bottom, but they added 5 additional slats to the the 5 already there.
This did not help us at all and the bed still sagged. The inspector was send out again and this time he measure a 1.5" sagging in the middle of the bed, a half inch more than before.
But none of this did us any good because the warranty department told us that a 1.5" sink was within their standard and nothing can be done and our 30 warranty time had now expired and the case was closed.

I bought a mattress & adjustable base from Sit 'n Sleep. It was delivered on October 11th 2011, but was not slept on until October 15th (traditional reasons due to our first night of being married). From that night, Saturday the 15th my wife complained of having back problems. I read the warranty and decided that we sleep on it a few more times (after we returned from our honeymoon on Oct. the 21st). Her back pain persisted so I called Eddie (salesrep. of Sit 'n Sleep, Upland) to inform him that our bed was sinking in and causing my wife back problems. He directed me to customer care at 800/961-1997.
I called customer care and was instructed to allow more time to let my wife and my body to adjust to the bed. Also, I was told to try rotating it or flipping the bed over because I complained that the bed was not firm and causing one side to sink in.
November 6, 2011 Tanya/RickI placed a call to precise mattress inspection. The earliest appointment they had for an inspection was Nov. 22 so I scheduled it. Since it was going to be over two weeks for an assessment, I took the advice of the representative and rotated the bed.
November 19 Bed flippedThe past couple weeks I had to sleep towards the edge away from my wife so that my weight would not make her sink towards the center. This was not acceptable, so my brother-in-law helped me flip the mattress over to the firmer side.
November 22nd, 2011Rick, from Precise Mattress came to my residence to inspect the bed and found it to have a depression 1inch and a quarter depth. He asked why it was flipped over so I explained and he said that he understood. He noticed the depression instantly and did not require the bed to be flipped back. He felt comfortable not flipping it back because since it's only been less than 6 weeks of purchase he already measured the depression to be 1-inch and a quarter. This helped me confirm that this purchase was defective.
November 25thWe received a letter from Sit 'n Sleep Customer Service Department. It simply stated that impressions are within the tolerance of the manufacturing guidelines for this model, which is 1-inch and a half.
December 1, 2011 800/961-1997 (Sit 'n Sleep Customer Care Dept. )Around 7:30 pm, Salaia told me that she will send an email regarding the impression on my mattress and that someone would get back to me by Monday. She agreed that using the mattress for less than 2 months should not be left unresolved and that I would be contacted by Monday, Dec. 5th.
December 6, 2011 800/961-1997 (Sit 'n Sleep Customer Care Dept. )I was not contacted on Dec. 5th so I spoke to Angie, Supervisor between 9:30 am and 9:40am to follow up with my complaint. After she answered the phone with the greeting, "Hi my name is Angie, how may I provide you with excellent customer service?" I explained my situation and asked her to pull up my account. Her only reply was that an inch and a quarter is not considered a defect.
She provided no help and only reiterated that no manager/supervisor is going to overturn a manufacturers decision. All I received was that it was my fault for flipping the bed over, after I was instructed to do so. She provided no alternative solution and that does not seem like to me that is excellent customer service. With an attitude, all she kept telling me was that the manufacturer denied our complaint twice. Basically, after less than 2 months use, she indirectly blamed us for using the bed incorrectly. This representative was not helpful and only upset me making me feel that Sit 'n Sleep is not a good company and that I should have this situation reported.
December 6, 2011 909/373-4211 (Aireloom, manufacturer)I spoke to Linda between 9:43am to about 9:50am. I explained that after the date of the delivery, October 11, 2011, in within a month time we were feeling discomfort. The only response was that she will have to research because she did not receive any information about my situation and was not aware of what was going on. She informed me that they authorize Sit 'n Sleep to schedule their own inspections and that she had to go over with the representative from Sit 'n Sleep. Linda called back at 9:59 am and basically said that it was not their fault because I chose to flip the bed over and have my wife sleep on the firmer side to reduce her back pains. I am disappointed that she only spent 9 minutes to research my complaint, which shows her professional concern for our well being, especially since we spent over $3,000.00 for their mattress and base!
December 6th, 2011 626/430-9044 (Eddie, Sitn Sleep sales rep.)At 11:10 am, Eddie explained that he spoke with Aireloom to see if they will retrieve the mattress and rebuild it at the factory. It was noted that Aireloom would not be able to do anything until the first of the New Year (Jan. 2012). This is not acceptable.

Other issues are also present that were not addressed and are listed on the report but not responded to; the most important being a lump or such (I would have more detail but you refused to give me a copy of the report) under the pillow top that is causing me pain in my back and a poor night's rest. All issues that lead to this inspection are still present and continue to get worse.
We called after receiving the denial letter, which didn't say much, and we're treated in a rude and unpleasant manner. This matter needs to be addressed a.s.a.p., not what just gets you out of the warranty but the issue you failed to respond to that would call for replacement of the mattress and is listed in the report. I would also like a copy of the report that you refused to supply us after receiving the denial letter dated August 12,2011, order **, a copy with my signature that I signed on the day of the inspection. A few days later, we decided we did not want to purchase the mattress because of the cost and there were other issues that needed to be addressed for home repairs. I called and cancelled the order, but asked them not to refund my money back to the gift card because I did not have it. Their accounting department refunded the gift card anyway. I explained to them I did not have it and they were rude and said how do they know that? I told them to ask the sales girl. They tried to run a sale on the gift card, but it was declining it. They will not refund my money back because they feel that the accounting books are closed, that there is no money to refund so I lost my $100 deposit and they will not make it right.

We decided to purchase a new bed about 6 years ago. We are on bed number 3 and my doctor is seeing a regression in my low back. This is what prompted the new bed in the first place. They sent an inspector each time and replaced the first two times after a re inspection. The sales person at our local store has been nothing but fantastic! However, it is always a run around with the inspection and replacement part.
The mattress is bad enough that a good nights sleep is impossible, but not bad enough by their standards to replace it and you must wait another year for an inspection. Each time we paid extra to get a better bed, although we were assured what we were purchasing was one of the best. The current one has a twenty year warranty. If it is bad by their standards, the standards are always just a little more than what is comfortable.
I would prefer to have my old bed back! At least, it didn't sag so bad that you roll to the two low spots in the middle of the night. It is not like my wife and I are huge people either! What it boils down to is an over priced, inferior product and the hope you go away before it is bad enough, by their standards, to replace it!

After looking at temperpedic beds at several different businesses, I went to the Tarzana, CA store knowing what I wanted. I also intended to use the one year no interest if paid in full in that time. I was never told that their policy had changed within the week nor was it written on the receipt. When after two months I received a phone call stating that the credit card was being charged $60 in interest and that there was going to be a late pay entered against the credit rating, they were told to take the payment and they waived (thank goodness) the late notice.
I immediately called Jennifer ** (salesperson who said she was the manager when I called) at the Sit 'n Sleep in Tarzana who I originally dealt with and asked her what was going on. She told me their policy had changed and that she was sure she had told me that and that she had also written it on the receipt (interest due monthly on the receipt). I immediately pulled the receipt, got in the car, drove there and showed it to her along with my friend who was with me when I purchased the bed. Ms. ** was very arrogant and told me she was 100% sure she told me that and wrote it. I told her that I was 200% sure that she had not and showed her the receipt that had no check marks anywhere on it. She refused to do anything about making the interest payments, did not apologize and let us leave the store.
I then wrote to Larry Miller, the CEO of Sit 'n Sleep regarding the treatment at their Tarzana store and never even received a letter of apology or explanation or anything about my dissatisfaction. I would sleep in the street before I ever bought another item from that store. I would give up all friendships if I ever referred that business to anyone at all. Incidentally, I live one and a half mile from Living Spaces where I should have purchased the bed as they, Ortho, the Mattress Superstore, and others do offer the policy that I wanted.

We cannot sleep on one side. My husband now sleeps on another bed. The inspection, of course, came back within specifications (1 1/4 inch sinkhole, rather than 1 1/2 inch). The customer service supervisor took zero responsibility and had no interest in helping resolve the issue. She was rude and told me to complain to Sealey. When I told her I was a lawyer and will seek legal redress for the quality misrepresentations made by Sit'n Sleep, she essentially said they did not care. When I also told her that this poor quality customer service would hurt the Sit'n Sleep reputation, she said "no problem" and laughed. It was incredible. The mattress is no longer usable. I paid $2,500 less than 15 months ago and will need to buy another one soon. My husband sleeps downstairs and my back is sore every morning.

Yes, it's resold. I think Sit ‘N Sleep needs to be exposed for what they are doing. I want my money back so I can get a mattress I can sleep on. I paid over $2400.00 for a mattress I can't sleep on. We spent $4,000 on a Kingsdown which Sit 'n Sleep highly recommended as the best and highest-ranked for customer satisfaction. On both counts, they misled us. Just look at the complaints and mattress rankings on the web. The first delivery was the wrong mattress, which they admitted and then acted like they were doing us a big favor to exchange the mattress.
We then changed to another style from Kingsdown #600. In a few days time, we were completely unhappy. It sunk in; we had severe back pain. It was hard with a hump in the center and soft on the sides. A piece of junk not worth $10.
We asked to replace with another brand. We did not trust the Kingsdown product they had recommended. Sit 'n Sleep would not accommodate an exchange with another product. They only wanted to replace with Kingsdown. Their loyalty is to Kingsdown, not to their paying customers. They were unprofessional, unavailable, and were rude to work with. Also, they did not respond to our calls or letters. They would only consider a return for another product, if we paid 20% re-stocking fee. Stay far away from both Sit 'n Sleep and Kingsdown. My wife and I went to Sit and Sleep (S&S) to purchase a mattress. First, however, we laid on their machine that helps them determine the proper mattress. The manager said this is the right mattress for you and you will love it. We laid on it for a few minutes and it felt okay. We paid over $4,000. Upon delivery, the delivery men threw the mattress off the truck. We requested a new mattress that they delivered.
Twenty some days after sleeping on the mattress, we noticed it was not even and the aches and pains were starting. S&S sent out an inspector who found hard spots on the second mattress. S&S delivered a third mattress. We received new paperwork and discovered that they did not put any info about the inspector's report. S&S said the mattress was okay. We slept on the 3rd mattress for less than 30 days and began having shoulder and back pains.
We went to the store and they said we can only exchange the mattress for equal or greater value plus $500 (five hundred dollars) re-stocking fee. We put our trust in S&S employees, the owner Larry Miller, and their state-of-the-art pressure point machine. All we want is a good night sleep and for Sit and Sleep to be fair. Customer service reps are no help. They read from a script and tell you that it is company policy to exchange and pay an additional $500.

On 11/13 I called Sit n Sleep and ask to speak to Angie Esteves Manager. The operator then transferred me to Robert, Customer Service Managers voicemail, but no returned call.
On 11/14 Shannon Siaoci calls me regarding my claim. Shannon said there is nothing Sit n Sleep can do in regards to the warranty. However, I can purchase a second mattress at a discounted employee price. I told Shannon that Im not going to pay for a second mattress let alone purchase anything from Sit n Sleep again and to please transfer me to a corporate executive. Shannon then transfers me to Angie Esteves, Customer Service Manager. Angie stated that the discount price is all they can offer me. I then asked to talk to Robert, Customer Service Manager, but she said that he was in and out of the office and would be difficult for him to get back to me. I then insisted. Angie then transferred me to Roberts voicemail and left him a second message.
As of today 11/14 I have no resolution to this matter.
