I bought a king-size bed with box springs and frame. After one month the box springs began to creak. I called customer service and they charged me $25.00 (racket) to inspect the springs, to authorize an exchange. They authorized the exchange but I had to travel with the product myself to their warehouse for the exchange. After a short time the new box springs also began to creak enough to wake my wife in the night. I called again, asking for credit to upgrade the box spring to avoid the issue. They pro-rated the box springs and gave me a credit of $52.00 approx. After $50.00 in inspection fees, that netted me a $2.00 credit. When I pushed them they said, "We don't make them and that's all you get." If Mattress Firm sell known defective products, no one should buy there. It's no wonder BBB won't take them. I'm going to Houston to see the president about this on 3/31/15. Wish me luck!!!

The mattress started sinking within 6 months. A year later it had huge dips and you could feel the springs. The sides were totally smashed down. It cost $25 for them to look at it and they did not cover it even though the man that came out said it was a piece of crap and there was no way it would not be covered. Even if they would have said the warranty covered it, it would have cost $200 to get them to replace.

Unwilling to help Told me mattress is no longer made and warranty doesn't cover mattress coming apart and suggested I file a claim but basically made me feel it would be a waste of time. So I was also informed I had to pay for the inspection and even if it qualified they would not give my money back. So I fill out the papers on 2-3-15 and mailed the same day. Mattress Firm called me 2-11-15 to get credit card info to charge me the $25.00 for the inspection and said they would call me in a couple of days to set the appointment. On Friday 2-13-15 got a call setting up the appointment 2-24-15 between 2 pm and 4 pm but on the 2-24-15 got call and the guy said was coming out early between 12:00-12:30 pm.
The guy came out was nice, inspected the mattress and told me he thought I should have no problem with the warranty. Noted to me that it was clean and he seen the threads on different areas were coming loose and also seen that the seam was opened on the bottom side showing the inter of the mattress. It was about a 4-5 inch opening but now is about 6 inches. He told me it could be a few weeks before I hear anything. I thanked him and he left.
On about March 15, 2015 received a letter from Mattress Firm. I was happy finally to hear from them in hopes of getting my mattress replaced. Instead I get a letter dated Wednesday March 11, 2015 stating "We at Mattress Firm, Inc. are very concerned about customer satisfaction and product quality. We make every effort to be fair concerning the repair/replacement of any defective bedding. After carefully reviewing your claim, it has been determined that the problem you have noted is not covered by our warranty because: (Box checked off) Body impressions must be an inch and a half." Then underneath they added this message, "Tears, abuse or bedding found to be unsanitary voids the manufacture's warranty. Floor samples and clearance bedding are also not covered under warranty." End written quote is not signed by any person just "Sincerely, Warranty Service Department, Mattress Firm, Inc." The Trx. ID **.
My mattress is like new - just coming apart. Has 10 year warranty - subtract 2 leaves 8 years and they won't honor anything. In my opinion buy anywhere but Mattress Firm unless you really don't care how you're treated. But this one isn't going down that easy. Have filed complaints with the Federal Trades Commission & Texas Attorney General & Here. If anything can be done I would just like my money back so I can purchase else where. Oh I like my mattress but it's coming apart (not covered by warranty). If anything comes of this I will advise so others will be able to find help...

I bought a $2200.00 memory foam mattress about 1 year ago. Within 2 months we had to return it because there were huge dips and holes in the mattress (memory foam!?). We returned it, with some headaches 2 months later! We had a good night’s sleep again for 2 months and again we had problems. Now they credited me 75% of the total amount to purchase another mattress at their store instead giving me my money back!!! Really! I spent $2200 and now you want to give me less then what I paid for and not give me any monetary value except another mattress and not guarantee its quality. Terrible business model and will never shop there again!

I purchased a mattress on 7-29-14 for $400.00. 6 months later the mattress already had a dip in it. I am 110 lbs and the only person that sleeps on it. I went to the store on 7067 Narcoossee Rd Orlando FL 32822 to complain. They told me it would cost me $25.00 to have someone come out to look at it and IF they thought it was damaged to their conditions, I would have to pay $79.00 for delivery of a replacement. Since when does the consumer have to pay for the crappy condition of the manufacturer's product. The guy was a sarcastic sales rep who I AM SURE knows how bad their products are and how they try to scam the consumer. NEVER RECOMMEND THESE JERKS TO ANYONE!!!!!!!

Our old mattress was 15 years old with a small dip in the middle. After seeing the ad on the TV for MF I decided to convince my fiancé to buy a new mattress. We bought it in May of 2014. Everything seemed to be ok until 5 months in, our box spring broke. It caused our mattress to sag and created back pain and oversleeping. I went to the Eden Prairie location again to correct problem, but I was told to submit claim online. I tried and was told 4-6 week wait and $25 inspection fee. They finally override it because I was angry and upgraded to a metal box spring. They delivered the WRONG SIZE!! I called and they told me it was going to be $80 for a redelivery even though they screwed up! I told them we would keep it and upgrade to a queen soon when I had the money. Because of a small hole in the mattress they wouldn't replace that.
I bought a new mattress and when I went to go pick it up they didn't have it!!! I also found out after a month after we got the metal box spring it was BROKEN AGAIN! They accused us of "jumping" on it and refused to help. I told them I wanted a refund and would get a check within a week! I told them I needed my money then because I needed to go buy a new bed and they didn't do anything else. The kicker is when I asked originally if the weight would support because it’s our one piece of furniture, they said it would hold. All these problems occurred within a year of buying the mattress!!! DON"T EVER SHOP AT MATTRESS FIRM!!! Worst customer service, horrible beds, and they LIE!!

The mattress that was delivered didn't feel like the one in the store. I called and complained and was told to give it more time. We went back and bought a new bed frame to help. Still no good, huge indentation for hubby and I can feel every movement. Now being told can't return it and now have to pay some guy to look at it. Awful customer service. Will never buy from them again.

Service during the purchasing of Tempurpedic mattresses was OK at the Gloucester Virginia Mattress Firm store. Financing was arranged through Wells Fargo at 0% until the debt was paid. The purchase was made in mid 2013. In February 2015 I was notified by Wells Fargo that there was activity on our account. Not likely so I did an on line check of the account. I was shocked to see that the Gloucester Mattress Firm store had added over $5000 in new charges. These were totally fraudulent charges. I notified the Mattress Firm store, Wells Fargo and the corporate office of Mattress Firm company. To date (over 2 weeks) Mattress Firm has yet to correct the incorrect charge nor have they responded to my email. Needless to say the fraudulent charges have an impact on credit scores.

My husband and I purchased a King size mattress in October of 2013. Within the 100 day "Happiness Time Period" the bed began sagging; however, we were told that it's normal for the mattress to have some indentation upon getting settled. So, we waited, and continued sleeping on this uncomfortable mattress. About a month ago, we finally filed a warranty claim. The inspector came out and measured our indentations and it turns out my husband’s side has a 2.5 in. sag and my side has a 1.5 in. sag. My husband is under 6 feet and less than 200 lbs, and I am under 5 ft and less than 100 lbs. There is no reason a mattress should have caved in that much.
We received our "letter" in the mail yesterday, and spoke with Corporate regarding our letter. We were shocked to find out that should we use the "credit" they have so graciously provided us (of our own money) and put that towards a mattress that is more expensive, the "Happiness Guarantee" is void on that purchase. Because we bought a mattress from Mattress Firm that was defective by no fault of our own, we are being penalized. Should we not be satisfied with our "new" mattress, all we can receive is another store credit.
We have no desire to EVER purchase anything from this company again. In fact, my husband and I have decided to go to another company before setting foot in another one of these disgraceful stores. Mattress Firm has the absolute WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. They DO NOT support their customers, and their "Happiness Guarantee" is nothing more than "lip service" to provide the consumer with a false sense of security. I will be telling everybody that I know NOT TO SHOP AT MATTRESS FIRM. I will do everything in my power to fight this company on its dishonest practices.

If I could give this store and company a ZERO star, I would! Having bought mattresses in the past from Mattress Firm, we went there to get a mattress for a condo in Alabama. Yes, they assured me, "no problem delivering there" and there wasn't on the initial bed that was delivered. And Matt, who did the original sale, was great. Let me point out we spent $4000 on this horrid bed. However, I hated the bed! I returned to the store to pick out a different bed under their "100 day return policy" agreement. Well, it was too early for me to return it...I had to sleep on it a minimum amount of weeks! When I could finally go back to make the exchange (which I was spending even more $$ to upgrade to), all kinds of nightmares took place. No one was able to work the computer system and figure out how to do a return and a new delivery. I went through THREE sales reps in the course of FOUR weeks to get this accomplished.
At last, the new bed is to be delivered. But, alas, now they can only deliver on Friday, a day that I'm not able to take off of work. Finally, I returned to the store yet again and canceled the replacement bed and asked for a refund of the additional $1000 that I was spending on the new bed. Finally, I've decided we will move the bed to another bedroom and not sleep on it. I'm still waiting for the refund to appear on my AmEx. I will NEVER buy another product from this company and I will tell everyone who asks about the horrible experience. Every time I got a new salesperson during the course of this ordeal, I would ask how long they had been employed at MF--no one ever had more than 3 months experience there. Maybe that's part of the problem that NONE of them can work the computer!

Bought a Hampton & Rhodes 340 at mattress firm. Liked the firmness and it was less expensive than the others nonetheless, after 4 days it was sagging worse than my 10 year plus mattress! They tried to blame it on the frame then my size only 240lbs and wanted another 60.00 to pick it up. I've had cheap cheap mattresses last and hold up better than this! They know this mattress is bad and should not be selling them. Never buy there again!!!

Me and my wife bought a Hampton & Rhodes mattress from these scammers. I paid $40 to have it shipped to my house, I didn't even get to sleep on it one time. Me and my wife pull it out of the plastic to find that most of the stitching on the side of the mattress was coming off and quarter size holes were appearing. My wife called to return it they gave us the run around all day. Now I've got to drive over 60 miles to return this to the warehouse where it came from so I'm not hit with an $80 restocking fee plus they took my $40. I didn't even have it 24 hours.. This company is a joke, their customer service is a joke. I'm going to my local news station to see if they will look into how many people they do this to. NEVER EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I placed an order for a mattress online at the recommendation of a salesman in the Branson store on February 10. It had guaranteed FedEx delivery by February 20. On February 16th, I began to be worried that I hadn't received a shipping confirmation. It took two days of phone calls and emails to get my shipping information, and when I finally received it on February 18th, the mattress had been returned to sender due to multiple shipping labels. We called FedEx to confirm that the package had been returned, and they said it had been received by Mattress Firm on Thursday, February 19. On Friday, February 20th, we called Mattress Firm to find out where our mattress was, and when to expect it. We were told that it had been shipped that morning, and that we would be emailed a shipping notice and tracking information. We were told it was their top priority.
Monday, February 23rd rolled around, and we had no shipping information. We called every day this week requesting the tracking number, and finally got information today, February 27. Our mattress shipped again yesterday. Our mattress was returned to them more than a week after the order was placed, and it took them more than a week to ship it out again. I would have loved to be given a refund, but we were told that wasn't an option since we purchased a clearance mattress.
I would never recommend this company. Their customer service is impossible to get a hold of, and once you do get a hold of them is full of misinformation and lies. They don't have customer service in mind in anything that they do, and I have never had more trouble with a company than I have this one. As a woman six months pregnant who has been sleeping on a leaking water bed with no heater for two weeks when I wanted a mattress the day I walked into the store, my frustration with this company starts with the sales associate who said I should order the mattress online to save money, and ends with the horrible customer service I've received from every person I've spoken to since. We'll see if we actually receive the mattress this time.

My boyfriend and I bought a mattress on a Friday and got it that night. The next day we were so uncomfortable from the night's sleep, we decided to return it and purchased somewhere else. Well, we called the store on Sat morning and talked to the guy about setting up a time for them to come get it (it's policy for them to have to pick it up) and we never heard back again. We called again on Monday and talked to a gal who said she needed to talk to the guy we had talked to on Saturday. Said she would call right back. Four hours later she said they would have to schedule a pickup time but she couldn't do it.
At this point we are getting a little upset. It takes time for them to refund our money plus (and this is bad on our part) when he was going over the paperwork with us, he said he was highlighting all the main points on the paperwork he was holding and never mentioned the 149.00 processing fee. We sighed and figured it was our fault for not looking over the entire paperwork. But, he did say if we were not happy, there was a hassle free return. It is now Wednesday and haven't heard a word back at all. This is the Newnan, GA store.
I have never been so upset about return. We want our money back and to just return the mattress. It shouldn't be this hard for a hassle free return, should it?? We only slept on the bed the one night and it is sitting in our spare room. Just be very careful about dealing with this store. The guy and manager that sold it to us is named **. It's pretty bad when the manager is the one giving you a runaround.

The bed doesn't make allow me to get a massage but my whole house shakes and the plaster walls are cracking and they will not honor their warranty. I cannot keep the bed and the manager will not even call back. My foundation will end up splitting or cracking and that will cost much more than 10,000 dollars. They say because it has mechanical parts they cannot take it back. I have had it for 2 business days. Isn't there a 3 day right of cancellation in the state of Florida??? Very upset that I did not check out this website before buying...they said if not happy after 100 days, I could return. No conditions...salespeople are all liars in my opinion and company does not stand behind their guarantee.

Today is Monday Feb. 23rd, I called Corporate office re: credit & I was told it takes 10 to 12 days for credits to be applied. The lady from Corporate Office said it would be applied by Friday, Feb. 27th. You might want to deal with another company other than this. Original Review: Feb. 23, 2015
I purchased a mattress based on my experience with that mattress on the showroom floor. It was in the 'soft' mattress section, and it felt great. It’s arguably the softest mattress on the floor. When I received the mattress, however, it felt like a pillow top with a concrete slab underneath. Thinking a mistake had been made, I went back the next morning to find out what went wrong and was told that that was indeed the mattress I purchased. I was told some garbage about how it would break in over 30 days to feel like that. I said that it was impossible that a mattress that hard would turn into one of the softest mattresses I have laid on and was told how I was wrong and needed to 'break it in' over 30 days. I have purchased many, many mattresses in my life. I have always expected, and experienced, a break-in period, but I have never had a mattress be so completely divergent from the floor model to what I receive at home.
I wouldn't be terribly upset about this, but it turns out that they are going to charge me $150 to return it - the mattress that I was misled about. If I just didn't like it, I could understand the fee - but this was being misled, not just poor decision-making. I have contacted everyone that I can at that company, but I am getting zero traction in getting the $150 return fee waived.

I came here for a new pillow and the salesperson Herbert ** showed me one of the Lux Living scented pillows. I wasn't interested in a scented pillow but the smell was very subtle, non-offensive, and the comfort was good so I bought it. When I got home and took the new pillow out of its packaging though, the smell was overpowering. The pillow was nothing like the floor model and I ended up not being able to use it because the smell gave me a headache.
I called the next day to return it but the same salesperson Herbert ** refused. He was unhelpful, dismissive, and didn't care at all that a product he sold made a customer physically sick. He even refused a partial refund and finally countered with an exchange but after this experience, why would I want another product from this company? A bad experience and a total waste of money.

I got a price quote from Mattress Firm store 1829 W Craig Rd N Las Vegas Nevada. Manager signed his name and price and mattress description on back of FIVE REASONS TO COME BACK handout, states if you find a better advertised price, we'll beat it by 10% or your mattress is free! I checked my computer, discovered Bedding Experts had same mattress for $749.99 (still there Jan.11th 2015). I copied the sale description and returned to Las Vegas store. Manager said he could not honor 10% as there wasn't much profit - I said, "The corporate states 10%," he said "read between the lines"??? I said, "There's nothing between the lines!" He said, "We do not honor prices from out of the area, brochure says any advertised price!"
I left and went to a competitor purchased same type mattress for $15 less and free delivery! I am planning on reported to TV investigative reporter here, also small claims court, feel a voucher credit should be issued for cost of mattress - that's their low price promise!!!

Purchased a mattress from the location in Spanish Fort, AL. The pitch was "why wouldn't you buy from MF?" 100 day return policy, meet and beat competitors by 10%, free delivery, etc. Made a small deposit for the new floor model which was delivered two weeks later as told. We were assured that the "Sleep Happy" warranty and exchange policy applied to floor model. The only difference was a deep discount. Mattress was delivered without box spring. MF was quick to have box spring delivered.
The mattress is too firm and we inquired with salesman about return or exchange. Salesman is now not so sure that it can be returned and encouraged us to sleep (or not sleep well) for 30 days. He obviously knew the fine print of the contract and just where to highlight. "Sleep Happy" warranty reads they will happily charge $149 for you to return with exceptions for floor models. The issue is now with his manager. Most managers have the power to make things right. Will it be a non-event or require the attention of social media? I will follow up this review with any resolution.

On July 14, 2014, my husband and I purchased the Hampton & Rhoades Caledonia for $1200, as a wedding gift to ourselves, 1 month after our wedding, which was June 21, 2014. Although we both had nice mattresses at our respective dwellings before we tied the knot, we wanted to upgrade our sleep experience to the Serta iComfort series. After careful consideration, we'd decided that the iComfort Insight EverFeel was for us.
However, our dreams quickly spiraled to disappointment when we found out Mattress Firm had marked the price up $300 more than the retail value, and our budget did not permit. Our salesperson recommended the Caledonia Plush, which felt similar to the iComfort Insight EverFeel, and the price was within our budget.
The first 3 months, were filled with blissful, restful nights. In November, we began noticing variations, in the middle of the mattress. As time progressed, our night sleeps became increasingly less restful, and our joint and back pain became more prevalent. Our nightly cuddling came to a halt because when we laid in the middle of this mattress, it felt like we were sleeping on a hammock, instead of a bed, which forced us to sleep on the edge of the mattress, on our respective sides.
We'd remembered the warranty, casually mentioned during our purchase, but, since no warranty paperwork was given to us at the time of our purchase, we had nothing for reference. My husband returned to the store to alert them of the matter, where he learned about filing the claim; paperwork, we'd expected, but, a $25 inspector transportation fee, and a delivery charge (beginning at $69), and 4-6 week processing time? OH NO! Mattress Firm, CLEARLY, has no grading system for enforcing their warranties; manufacturers defects, craftsmanship, and lest we forget, their infamous mattress comfort guarantee, "100 day happy or your money back", which costs a $149 processing fee, ALL resulting in out of pocket expenses for the customer, and NONE of which we were advised of during our purchase.
Furthermore, who, when, and how are these "guarantees" going to be enforced, when the hours of operation for Customer Service is, conveniently, Monday-Friday, 8-4 (CST)? Seriously? Could this be more inconvenient? We've been battling with Customer Service for the past 21 days, during which time I've been medicating myself, and sleeping on a heating pad, due to my sprained neck and shoulder caused by sleeping on this defective mattress, hoping for some relief and maybe a few winks.
Needless to say, our claim was denied. I'm scheduling a visit to a chiropractor, and worst of all, my husband and I've decided it best for me, if we sleep in separate beds, until we can purchase another mattress. I know the first year of marriage can be difficult, who would've thought we'd be sleeping in separate beds, not because we're mad at each other, but, because of our attempt to upgrade our sleeping experience? Thanks to Mattress Firm, our honeymoon is over!

I called the salesman (who is also the area manager) and told him that I thought I received a used mattress. He assured me that it was not. I said I wanted to return the bed and I wanted another of the same mattress delivered. At first he mentioned a charge of $150.00 for pickup and delivery but I reminded him of the 100-day satisfaction and he relented on the charge.
After a few weeks, the second mattress started to sag. It was only then that the salesman told me that the 100-day trial period was not from date of delivery, but from date of purchase. Since I was going out of town for the holidays the next day, I told him to come pick up the mattress. He charged me $150.00 and the poor guys came at 11:30 p.m. to pick it up.
I was told that the charge to my credit account would be refunded immediately. I have made many phone calls between Mattress Firm and my bank. Mattress Firm says they sent the return info in on December 23. My bank says they never received it. The salesman takes no responsibility for tracking the whereabouts of my $2,400 refund. I had to track down the district manager through a Google search. He says he is looking into the matter, but I'm not hopeful. In the meantime, I am paying on merchandise that I don't have so I won't be charged a late fee and I have no bed in my bedroom. DO NOT BUY from these folks if you have any idea that you might need to return the merchandise. You are no longer considered a customer and you are SOL.

I paid $1700 for a Stearns & Foster mattress on Dec 22, 2013. The first mattress delivered had missed stitching. I requested a replacement. They delivered another mattress the following week. By May 2014, you could feel the mattress sagging in the middle. I went back to the same store that I purchased the mattress to return it and get a refund. In Texas, you have a 1 year happiness warranty. The salesperson showed me the new Stearns & Foster mattress and explained how it was made better than the model I purchased. I asked if I got another year if there were problems with the mattress. He said, "Yes, the warranty starts over". I even commented that someone could get a new mattress every year with that policy if they wanted to abuse it.
They deliver the new mattress and it has missed stitching. You can also feel the metal coils in the bed. I have spoken with salespeople, store managers and area managers. Now they are saying that they can't take back the bed because it is past the 1 year anniversary even though I was told it would not be a problem. I have filed a warranty claim and still have not heard from anyone. This is the worst company when it comes to customer service. They will promise the world and bend over backwards for a sell. Please don't go through the nightmare of buying anything from them. Find another company to purchase your mattress.

On 12/6/14, I ordered a mattress set w/ frame from Mattress Firm at 1880 N Eastman Rd, Kingsport, TN. Payment was taken immediately from my bank...delivery wasn't expected for 1-2 weeks. Also, because this was a weekend, I was told the order wouldn't be placed until Monday, the 8th. I canceled my order on 12/7 because I didn't want to wait 2 weeks for delivery after finding another store that could deliver in a couple days. The refund was to arrive by mail in 5 - 7 days. No refund arrived so I contacted them twice trying to get my money back. It has now been over a month and no refund. I've enlisted the help of the Better Business Bureau and noticed I'm not alone in finding this store as having extremely poor customer service after the sale is made.

On Dec 4th 2014, my husband and I walked into Mattress Firm 5407 N. Academy Blvd.Colorado Springs, 719-264-0926. Our salesman **. We went in to replace our 15 year old mattress. We decided on a Black Beautyrest mattress. We paid over a thousand dollars for this mattress, top of the line for Simmons. Well it was not even a month and the mattress is sagging in the middle. I call and talked to our salesman and he told me there is nothing he can do for us. It was a floor model sold as is no returns or exchanges. All I want here is a mattress that we can sleep on. I give Mattress Firm an F for Failure to stand behind the products they sell. I would not recommend Mattress Firm to anyone. They boast of 100% guarantee, which is not true. Very dissatisfied and upset about it all.

I bought a mattress from MF. One of the cheapest actually because I'm on a budget and moving into a new apartment, on December 13. I ended up canceling the order, however, because it was not delivered to the store on the 16th, like promised, nor was it delivered by the 20th, and they had no good explanation for it or a timeline for when I could expect it. Now, two weeks later, I'm still waiting for my refund. I had to buy a new mattress (a better quality, pillow top mattress from a mom and pop furniture that ruins the likes of Ikea and Mattress Firm in terms of quality and customer service). Supposedly it's because of the holidays that it's taken so long....the way I see it, if I can purchase something the day before Christmas and it be taken out of my account the next or following day, then surely you can out it back in in 5 business days....ridiculous.
Do not buy from them, ever!

When purchasing my Sealy Posturepedic mattress with memory foam, I was advised it would not be warranted if I also didn't purchase the box springs. I made the additional purchase. After having it a year, the sagging was so bad, my boyfriend and I literally rolled into one another in the middle within an hour of falling asleep and always woke with a backache and neck ache. I contacted mattress firm and requested a replacement but was told I had to go thru their "sag test" which I was required to pay for. They measured and deemed it sagged enough to replace. However they stated in the pic that was taken, there was a stain on the cloth of the mattress - it was immaculate and was probably a shadow.
They are now telling me to have it professionally steam cleaned with proof of receipt (additional fee) and then they will send someone to check it again (I have to pay another fee for this). They are obviously replacing these mattresses with mattresses that have been refurbished!!! When purchasing, I was advised by the sales manager that they 'proudly serve veterans and guaranteed their products'. I've yet to see this service or receive legitimate help in any manner. I have to give rave reviews about my warranty experience. My first bed was purchased 11/26/2010. My first warranty was 7/11/12. My second warranty was 9/7/12. My third warranty was 10/11/13 (they had to replace this the next day as it was sagging on one side, so I think I got a returned mattress). My fourth warranty was 8/9/14 all for sagging. I will be making my 5th warranty today 12/12/14. This mattress is sagging but not enough for them to honor a warranty, but the stitching is unraveling all over. Humm, wonder if this is under warranty. If not, I will wait another 6 to 7 months and it should be ready for the sag test the inspector does.
I honestly think that I have never got a new mattress. That is the reason they ask if the law tag label is attached to the mattress and if there are any stains. NO LAW TAG LABEL NO WARRANTY. IF THERE ARE STAINS NO WARRANTY. Do I have any patience left? Thank goodness I don't make my living in the bed, because they would have to be on standby just to deliver at my house.

I originally researched all the options locally and chose bedding experts. A week after my purchase of a 1200$ bed, they got bought out by mattress firm which I intentionally avoided because of massive numbers of bad reviews online. Unfortunately my mattress (ohio street titanium spring anniversary version), the foam in the top is dead after 3 months and springs are causing intense pain in my shoulders.
I tried to do an exchange and ended up talking to the area sales manager. I was all set to upgrade to a 2700$ tempurpedic with a go base and was trying to overcome the feeling of doubling down with a company I had originally avoided. When I mentioned the bad reviews the area sales manager at the oakbrook il location flipped from a nice grandpa type to screaming at me for 'insulting' him because I brought up negative reviews and gave him the opportunity to overcome them. The guy was mentally unstable. I'm now stuck with a really uncomfortable 1200$ bed at a company I chose to avoid that does not work for me and no way to resolve it because the company I purchased from no longer is around and the company that bought them employs a mentally unstable salesman who literally chased me out of the store screaming at me about insulting him.
Oh what I would give to have my money back, get rid of this horribly uncomfortable 3 month old bed, and take my business elsewhere. Buyer beware. All I expected to hear was if I upgrade and still am not happy and want a less expensive bed I can get my money back, and that it was illegal to sell used mattresses in this state at all, and how to check the tag since they are marked clearly. I just wanted him to note it on my ticket. Now after this service, I refuse to give them one single penny more and would rather lose 1200$ than resolve it thru their company. After what I saw I cannot trust this company and must cut my losses and run rather than doubling down and upgrading on a comfort exchange.
This is a legit review, by a paying customer. Don't let it happen to you please. Also worth noting; the guy was smooth, he saw us pull in and ran to the thermostat and jacked it up. When we walked in it was 68 or so. Within a few minutes it was approaching 80 degrees - so warm. After I mentioned I was uncomfortable he talked around it. I had to ask repeatedly for him to turn it down and ended up concluding I could not properly test the tempurpedic temperature sensitive mattresses because he had made it so warm they were unnaturally soft. That is seriously dishonest tactics. And I researched and knew why he did it immediately, before I got out of the car and saw him go do it. He first tried to tell me it was automated and he couldn't control it, when I made it clear I was going down or I was walking out, he stepped back 2 feet to the clearly seen thermostat on the wall directly behind him, pushed a button a few times and it turned off.
Be warned if you mention all of these bad reviews, the area sales manager will go off on you like you killed his dog, screaming about how you insulted him. Actually sir you insult yourself doing business in this way leading to scathing reviews such as this.

I explained that it is very hard to show on a video the damaged coils and asked to please send someone else out to inspect it. Mind you my mom who bought the mattress is 75 years old. The room is 10x10 so this means I need to remove the mattress outside to make a video so they can see it to hear it. Don't waste your time with buying anything here. Bought a Tempurpedic mattress that sags as well, still waiting from a response for that as well. Bought 2 yrs and 3 months ago.

On 27 Jul 14, I had ordered a mattress from the Mattress Firm, Bossier City, LA. Amanda **, a new sales rep, calculated my cost, free shipping, military discount and free box frame. She ran my card and after the fact her trainer realized she had over-charged me by $50 or so. Amanda's trainer stated she would recalculate, fix it and I will have my refund on 1 Aug 14. The mattress was on backorder and couldn't be delivered until the 9 Aug 14. The 1st came and no refund then Monday came and still no refund. I went to the store in Bossier City on 4 Aug 14. There was a different sales person out of Tyler, TX. He called to check on it and was told there was no record of a refund that was due. He looked at my invoice and notes, and didn't understand how they came up with their figures. He recalculated up the total which showed I was owed $89.18. They were also in the middle of a tax free sale and the rep ignored me when I asked for that discount.
Remember I still haven't received my mattress. He resubmitted a refund request and gave me a copy of the information. He said I should receive it on the 15 Aug 14, they only do refunds on the 1st and 15th of the month. I went back to check the status of my refund on 9 Aug 14. The sales rep was a new person from the Shreveport, LA Mattress Firm, Jason **. He called to check the status and again they stated they never received any request for a refund. Also the Tax Free sale was still going on. I asked him to recalculate and give me their current sale. Remember I still have no mattress. Jason stated he wouldn't since I already purchased it and it was a bad business practice to do that. This sale started the on 30 Jul 14, three days after I purchased my mattress. Most places have a price guarantee and they refused to match their own price.
I told him that was unethical business practice and then made a smart comment about military customers. I was fed up with Mattress Firm and their business practices and told Jason to Refund my money. The refund request was submitted on 9 Aug 14. I was told I should have it on the 15th and he would call and make sure that it gets done. I thanked him for his time and left. 15 Aug 14 came and gone with no refund. On 18 Aug 14, I went to the store, different sales rep, who called and checked the status. This time they stated that they have the request but have yet to process it. She stated that the way it works is the Owner has to sign off for the refund and then it's sent to the accountant to complete. The accountant was allowed to take two weeks off, so that is why I don't have my refund. Another unethical practice to hold people's money hostage while someone goes on vacation.
She stated it should be processed this week and they are checking to see where it is at, the owners possession or the accountant's. I was told they will find out and call me in the morning to let me know, seriously doubt it though. She stated that she understood my frustration with this company and they have a lot of refunds to do, no brainer why. Lastly, I still have no refund and no status of where my money is. This Mattress Firm is a franchise of Mattress Firm. I don't know how the company does business but hopefully better than their franchises do. Do not shop at any of the Mattress Firm Franchises in the ARKLATEX. I think they are owned all by the same owner who is unethical, lacks integrity and worst business I've ever seen. Stay away at all costs.

After 9 days, I called to inquire why I had not heard from someone and then said they had not even ordered the bed - although they had charged my card 9 days before!!! I was told if I had called, then it would have been ordered right away, but since I did my order online then a phantom in excess of 1 week delay to even process the order. THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOT ORDER THE MATTRESS... I was then told they could order it that day and it would be ready for delivery in 2-3 days. After clarifying, they admitted it would be shipped in 2-3 days but would not be able to be delivered for 7-14 days. In my opinion, Mattress Firm is not a place to buy a bed if you want to get it without a hassle or quickly. Again this is my opinion.

After doing my brand research, went to store #798 on a Friday 8/1/14 @ 1349. Tried out the chosen mattress, agreed to purchase with understanding that delivery would be next day (8/2/14) between 12&3p. Rep took my money and I waited for delivery. On day of supposed delivery @ 0958, I received a call from the rep who made the sale, who informed me that the delivery would not be until between 7p &11pm. Again I wait. 8p I called to see if delivery was on schedule only to be told that the delivery was not going to happen, the product was out of stock and would not be available until Wed. Because of the disrespect shown me (no one bothered to call me to let me know that there was never going to be a delivery on Saturday because the mattress was never in stock, and lies told to make a sale), I informed the gentleman that I wanted the sale canceled immediately, and to reimburse all monies back to my card.
On the next day, I received a call from rep who made the sale apologizing for the mix up and offering to do what she could to keep my business. She was informed that I didn't like the way I was treated and I wanted the full price returned to my card. She stated that it would take 3-5 business days to see the return money on my statement. Today, 5 days since the cancellation of the sale, I get a call from a "manager" also trying to save the sale and after being told I purchased my product from another store, he now states that my full refund will take 5-10 business days.
My issue is that it did not take Mattress Firm 3-5 days or 5-10 days to pocket my money so why is it taking them that long to return my money? If stores, big named stores, can received returned merchandise and credit your account the same day and the credit is seen the next day on your bank statement, why should I have to wait 5-10 days for my bank account to be credited? That policy, if there is one, is not posted at the cash register or on my sales receipt. I want my money back as fast as it was received for a product not in stock, lied about being in stock, and promised a delivery that was never going to be made on the date promised and during the time stipulated.

My mother and I went to the store and spoke with a sales person about a good mattress for my grandmother with fibromyalgia. He told us the best mattress for her condition would be the Cloud Luxe Tempur therapeutic mattress and to also get adjustable lifts and controls to help mother easy access in and out of bed and make her comfortable. We looked at the price and discovered it was almost $4,000. We thought really hard, but my mother had been in so much pain for over 30 years we thought we might try it, and the salespersons told us she has a year to try it and we could return it if not happy.
Well we tried it for about a month and it wasn't helping. My mother kept complaining. We went to the store to request a refund. The sales person said we did not give it a long enough time to shape to fit her. We said, "But she is in so much pain." We told him no and we would like them to pick up their bed and control set up under the bed. He told us you cannot return the controls that adjust the bed. "What? Why not, you said a year." He said policy says no returns for those, just the mattress. He said, "It's in your contract, read it." We said, "You told us to our face we had a year." He said he was only talking about the mattress. What a crock and a rip off. They play on lies and words and prey on people. My wife and I went to Mattress Firm to buy a mattress and box spring. The girl that worked at this location acted like it was her first day on earth. Her name was Casandra, short and very overweight. She was more interested in talking about her fiance and his kids than getting me out of the store. This turned out to be a seven-hour day with all the mistakes she made and having to start over. I almost walk out several times, but we need a mattress and I did not want to start the process all over again somewhere else. So, after all the mistakes she made while her boss was standing right there letting her and time we spent in this store she finally finish. The guarantee was 100% refund if you are not satisfied with their mattress within 100 days.
Yes, they were prompt in coming to pick the mattress up and refund some of the money, not 100% of the money as they said. I paid for the delivery of the mattress to and from 160.00 and two months of payments at 200.00, that totals 360.00. In addition, another 150.00 because of the paper work mess up, that new total is 510.00. Therefore, I wound up paying 510.00 and did not get one thing in return. Yes, you heard me right, I went in not owning anything, returned the mattress within the 100-day window and wound up paying 510.00 for nothing. The reason we called to return the mattress was it had a defect. One side of the mattress was lower than the other so my wife would roll into my all night. On a side note, we all know how annoying this can be anyways your wife rolling into you but then to have the mattress help her was not fun.
In my opinion, I thought it was a used mattress. What do they do with all the mattresses that people return before 100-day warranty? This location and staff ranks the lowest in all the people I have dealt with in Wesley Chapel. I can say this if you dare go into this location they will treat you like you are the most important person in the world, until you pay and leave. They will voice their concern for your well being and make you feel like you are in good hands. We have all run across people like this one or twice in our lives. Just do not make the same mistake I did. If something inside of you says go, get up and go.

We purchased a Tempur-Pedic mattress set $6000 worth, had it delivered only to have the adjustable base have a huge tear on the corner. They were very nice about getting another one sent out. 2 days later, they brought the 2nd base. It had an entire corner broken. We told them if the 3rd base came tore or broken, they were taking the whole bed back. Next day, the 3rd base came and it had a tear in the middle on one side. They took the whole bed out of our house and returned it to the store. We later went to the store to return the pillow and mattress pad and get the credit paperwork. This was on 7/4/14.
We were told that the pillow or mattress pad could not be returned. So we were stuck with a $70 mattress pad that we didn't even want but were told we needed to use on the bed so the cool gel will still be able to be felt. So we have to pay $74 on our Mattress Firm credit card. However, they have not yet issued the credit and it is showing we have to pay $135 or pay fees for not paying the minimum due since they have not posted the credit yet.
I called the store to find out why the credit wasn't showing and they said they never got corporate approval to process it. Eventually they called back and said it was now approved and I had to wait at least 10 days (So the payment on the card is coming due and still no credit). On July 9, 2013, desperate for relief from my arthritic hip, I bought the most expensive king size Tempur-Pedic adjustable air bed in the store, at the Mattress Firm location in Cypress, TX. On July 10, 2014 -- one year to the day later -- my wife woke in the middle of the night lying on the foundation because the air bladder on her side of the bed had blown out. My wife and I are normal people of normal weight for our ages. The mattress had certainly not been abused in anyway. To the contrary, we treated it like the expensive prized possession that it was. The bed frame is a high-quality Lexington bed with more than adequate support, and of course, we also purchased the outrageously expensive Tempur-Pedic foundations to go with the mattress, and it was professionally installed by Mattress Firm technicians.
Mattress Firm was unwilling to offer any resolution beyond the Tempur-Pedic 1-800 number. The customer service number was merely a wall to turn away complaints, with no possibility of escalating the problem to Management. The representative claimed that all management was "out of the office" (at 3:00 pm on a Thursday afternoon). Neither the store manager or the Customer Service manager would return my calls (I finally managed to cajole the CS manager's number out of the corporate switchboard operator, after googling for the corporate office number -- it's not on their website). So I called the Tempur-Pedic number.
After 15 minutes on hold, a representative took my information and informed me that a new mattress would be shipped under warranty from an undisclosed warehouse, and would probably take as long as two weeks to arrive. I responded that this was not a normal mattress that I could sleep on until the replacement arrived. This was an inflatable bed that was completely useless at this point. I asked why they couldn't simply arrange an immediate replacement through my dealer, Mattress Firm. They responded that their warranty policy did not allow that option. I asked how they expected a 60 year old man with arthritis to sleep on the floor for two weeks. They had no answer, but were completely unmoved, even after escalating the issue to a supervisor.
So my wife slept on the remaining good side of the bed while I slept on the floor the next night (on a camping air mattress) while we waited for delivery of our new mattress from another vendor. All because Mattress Firm was unwilling to handle the return and wait the two weeks themselves for a replacement. We ate the $4500. My hip couldn't take another night on the floor.

She continuously pressured my husband and I to buy the most expensive bed in the store. After agreeing, she was a happy associate and I was a leary consumer. I came to my senses after 24 hours and returned to purchase a different mattress.
I received the mattress in my home and slept on it for approximately 40 nights. On 5 July, I go into Mattress Firm in Bossier City, LA (they are owned both by a lady named Judy). When I told them I was not happy with my purchase, it turned into a huge fiasco. We had to contact the original associate who sold it to us, Cindi. She was a real "bulldog" because I was not sleeping comfortably in my $3400 bed. She originally instructed the person assisting me to have me call the owner on Monday morning. I refused and stated that I have 100 nights to return my bed and I was within that time frame. Then Cindi proceeded to use a very loud, disrespectful tone with associate who was processing my return stating she can't finance the difference and other unnecessary. Needless to say, I did return the mattress after I became pretty upset and all the reviews you read are true. I did speak with the owner and I promised her I would never refer any military personnel to either store due to their scams they try to run on folks.
It is a shame that we work hard for our money and must deal with crooked establishments such as Mattress Firm. They have a high employee turnover rate due to the lack of internal customer service as well. I regret ever taking my business to them and we'll NEVER give them another dime or referral anyone to Mattress Firm, period!

I would give this company a negative star if the choice were available. On 2/14/14 we went to Mattress Firm in Bartlett, TN. to buy a mattress. I found their prices a little higher then other stores. They suggested using their financing company Progressive for easy monthly payments. We put $400 down and financed the balance. I had an uneasy feeling about the financing part and told my husband I didn't want to do this and the last thing we needed was another monthly bill. The next day 2/15/14 we went back to the same store and talked to the same saleslady and cancelled everything. She gave us a copy of the cancellation and refund order. She did say she will send everything to the finance company but it would take SEVERAL weeks to be refunded the $400 down payment. I called the bank and just cancelled the check, seemed funny how she had not turned in the check yet so why several weeks for a refund. It was clearly the works of a commission for her first.
We were told we would still have to pay the processing fee of $49 which we did. For 3 months after that the financing company took out monthly payments stating they never received cancellation. Mattress Firm said they did but finance said they did not. We contacted our bank each time to file an unauthorized withdraw. Our Bank warned us they can files the claim and refund us but shady companies will change their name just to slide it through.
Today is 5/14/14, four months later and Mattress Firm is still pointing the finger to the finance company and they point their finger to the store. I faxed my copy of cancellation papers to the finance company but was told it has to come from the store. Sad even corp. office in Texas points their finger too. We have no choice but to call the bank and file another unauthorized charge and change banks. Bank Of America told us they can put in stop payment on a name but if the name of the company changes just a little it will get through, and that just what they did. This month it came through as Progressive rental. There are a lot of reputable mattress stores I urge you to go there and stay clear of Mattress Firm in Bartlett and anywhere in the U.S. I am angry that this local store nor the corp. office will do anything to rectify this.

Please note the scheduled time is based on their schedule - not the consumer's. I was also notified that the inspector is available only one day a month in my area - I live in a major population center. The other thing mattress firm fails to tell consumers is they must pre-pay for the inspection. First time I have had to pay to have something inspected for a warranty claim. It is now 20 minutes past the time set for the inspection and I am being told it will be another hour.
My recommendation to anyone planning to do business with Mattress Firm is to examine their warranty very closely and do a good job of comparing it with other companies. This would not be such a big deal except I had to buy a new mattress prior to resolution of replacing the old one due to back issues. Mattress Firm will not offer you any solution to any issue. Attempts to speak with management level individuals in the Service organization was a complete waste of time. Pretty soon it was impossible to sleep on this mattress because it was causing me continuous back pain and discomfort. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the mattress and requested to return it. I was given complaint forms and filed the paperwork including a $25 processing fee.
Someone came to my home, took photos, and wrote a report on the condition of the mattress. The result was store only credit towards another mattress. I went back to Mattress Firm to get a replacement mattress. The salesperson said that they had a new type of mattress that was high quality with a new system of coils that offered comfort and support. This new mattress (EDMORE) had a 90-day return policy.
This new mattress felt very uncomfortable from the start. The mattress is ill designed. It has minimal padding and the wire coils are hard and give lots of pressure to the body on whatever side I sleep in. I can actually feel the wire coils against my body. I have developed back pain, daily body aches and I am constantly exhausted because of lack of adequate sleep. After a month or so, I went to Mattress Firm to request a return. My request was denied by a very rude salesperson that refused to give his name. I was actually asked to leave the store because I dared state the fact that I was still within the 90-day time frame allotted.
All sales persons I have dealt with at Mattress Firm stores have lied to me and misrepresented the product they sold. Mattress Firm has benefited from my money and I got a no good product that is affecting my health. The first product was defective and they won't take the second mattress back in exchange for another one. Twice I was charged for sales tax and delivery. I have filed complaints with BBB and Texas Attorney General.

My wife and I purchased a mattress set from the Mattress Firm store on Mayfair Road in Milwaukee. We got a pretty nice set for ourselves ($1200) and also a cheaper set for our daughter. The salesman was excellent, knowledgeable and not pushy, but made it clear that he was willing to go above and beyond to earn our business even if that meant an additional discount on top of the sale they already had going on. I used to work in retail sales and appreciate good service as it can be a tough job without a lot of satisfaction, so we decided to purchase from them on our first visit to the store.
Upon delivery we realized we forgot to mention to the salesman that we needed a frame for our daughter's bed. He said that wasn't an issue and he had one in his store and we could come by and pick it up the next day. When I explained that I really needed the frame for my daughter that day so that we had something to sleep on, the salesman offered to bring it by himself after work and set it up for me. I was very impressed with this and his willingness to go above and beyond for us.

Horrible experience!!!! I bought a six inch memory foam mattress. The manager who sold it to me (or whatever his title is) assured me that all of the mattresses have a 100-day exchange guarantee. He said this more than once to my daughter and I. The mattress is too firm and hurt my back. Two days later, I went back and told him that it would not work for me. He said that my mattress did not have the guarantee and there were "only two in the store that did not have the guarantee". I argued with him that he had told my daughter and I that it had the guarantee. He could not do anything because it had to be emailed "through the chain of command."
Did not hear from him Monday, went in on Tuesday. Again, he could not break policy and it had to go up the chain of command, and he would get fired if he refunded my money. He told me, "I love you" and that is why he was trying to help. (Seriously????? I never met him before!!!!!!) I told him he did not. They called and offered me a mattress for $50 more that they were using at a demo at the home show. Told him no. I am selling it on Craigslist, and I assure you that everyone will know what I think of Mattress Firm. I had a horrible experience and I would NEVER recommend you to anyone!!!! This man should be fired for lying and telling me he loves me which is harassment in my opinion.

My husband and I purchased a Tempurpedic and found that it was extremely hot. I thought we had bed bugs at first but my husband had no signs of bites. I later found out I was suffering from a heat rash. I exchanged the bed after having it for about a week. Upon the delivery of my second mattress I was horrified. The men that delivered it were EXTREMELY rude.. They pushed past me as if they were in a huge hurry making their way to my bedroom. I had ask them to take out the old mattress first because there was not enough room in my bedroom. They said, "we'll see about that"! They then proceeded to throw the old mattress up against the wall almost knocking off priceless mask my children made me in school. Then pushing out the old mattress, they knocked into pictures, all down my hallway and out the door they went.
After all of this they brought the wrong mattress!! I had to call the store and found out they left it at the warehouse. I was then told there was nothing that could be done and the deliveries were full the next morning so I had to be the last!!! WHAT, I should have been first since I was suppose to have my mattress the night before the next day deliveries!!! NEVER again will I buy from Mattress Firm and I will let everyone I know about this problem.

Takes the measurements and said it was only 1 1/4 of a sag, it needed to be 1 1/2 and we also had a busted spring at the bottom left of the bed! He check and found it. Yup he said it's busted I can feel it and hear it. Said the bed sag is not enough but this spring should do it!! Now we have a pillow top and I'll never buy a pillow top ever again! You can't flip it! How dumb can it be.
So 2 weeks go by and we get a letter saying the claim is denied due to the bed not sagging enough! What! Nothing about the spring! It has a copy of his report in it also. Plain as day he said busted spring in bottom left corner. So I call these ** clowns and the lady on the phone says the report says the bed only sags 1 inch!! And nothing about a spring! What the **! So I hung up and called back!
So I got a white lady this time, somehow she could see the same report I could? Said she had no idea how it was denied and would send out an ok claim ASAP!! I recently purchased a full size mattress from the Mattress Firm in Bradenton, Fl. When I got it home and put it on my bed, I realized that the mattress is in fact 52 inches wide, not the standard 54 inches for a full size mattress. I contacted the local store where I purchased it and was told it is not unusual for a mattress to be a couple of inches off. I totally disagree with that.. I told the store clerk that it looks stupid on my bed frame and want to return it.
He told me that I could not return it to the store, but have to drive it to the warehouse in St. Pete. (25 miles away). I told him I would not do that as they should take care of it. He gave me the customer service number. I contacted customer service to be told that they would pick it up but there would be a charge of $69.95 to do so. I don't feel I should have to pay for their mistake..They were not accommodating at all..

I have an issue with the comfort of my new mattress. I realized, after a very short period of time, the mattress is way too firm for my sleeping needs. I am unable to experience a full night worth of sleep due to the extreme discomfort caused by the mattress. I called the original selling store location (Murfreesboro, TN.) and expressed my desire to use the 100 night guarantee option to exchange the mattress.
I was told by the representative on the phone (Tyler), that it is policy to require. I keep it for 30 nights before the option of exchange was possible. (According to the paper work I was given, it states: "No Hassle, Just Happiness. Guaranteed. Your new mattress will take time to adjust to your body and we encourage you to sleep on it for a minimum of 30 nights to allow for this adjustment period.") Nowhere in the statement does it say, I am REQUIRED to keep it at least 30 nights. It states that I am ENCOURAGED to sleep on it for thirty nights. ENCOURAGED! - I am stating now, for the record, that I will make no secret of my dissatisfaction about the customer service from Mattress Firm and its employees and sales staff until I am happy with my purchase.
It is also worth noting that when I spoke to the sales rep (Tyler) he stated it was not a big deal and said I and my child should just jump on the bed to soften it up. Is this really the way Mattress Firm does business? Do you really recommend I have my child jump on my very expensive bed and possibly damage it? A damaged bed would not qualify for the happiness guarantee, so I feel the sales rep (Tyler) distributed advice that would be contrary to my best interest.

When we looked at the bed and mattresses we, me and my wife, both asked about warranty on the floor model mattress. Salesperson Brittany ** replied they have the same warranty as a brand new one. This was last May 2013. I have submitted a warranty claim to Tempur-Pedic and they sent a response to me and said it was a floor model and I would have to pay an additional 1400.00 difference to get it replaced. I called the store we purchased it from in Griffin, GA and asked for the saleslady’s location or a manager’s phone number. They said they could not give out this info but he would have them call me. No response yet today.
Well we bought 4700.00 worth of nothing and even bought extended warranty on the frame itself. And remember we asked several times about the warranty on the mattress and got the same response every time before we bought it. Also the delivery was a mass chaos in itself. 3 trips to the house before we got the right merchandise and also the mattress came sealed in plastic from the warehouse but was coded on the paperwork as floor display. Tell me what’s going on.

Mattress Firm in my opinion is the worst mattress business in the industry. They claim to help you save money and be happy. That slogan is a complete joke. We purchased a mattress at our store and of course the saleswoman was very sweet and nice. We bought our mattress and had the 30 day return policy. After two weeks, we decided that the mattress was just not working for us so we decided to go exchange it for another. When we got to the store, they were very rude and not nice to us at all. They were more concerned with us wanting to stay with our current mattress instead of listening to our needs. My wife is 6 months pregnant and she just could not get any sleep on the mattress. So after negotiating to go from a queen to king for the same price, we were told that delivery would be from 10-4. Now the delivery part is where the bulk of my problems with this company stand.
The delivery man called at 3:55 PM and told us that he was gonna be there in 15-20 minutes which is understandable for us since we live on a military installation and there are security measures that need to be taken. Well it was an hour later and still no delivery or even a courtesy call. So after doing some research on the computer and shopping around we found better deals, so we called the store and had them cancel our account with them because I was beyond fed up. So the store apologized and canceled our account with them. Well it was now two hours and I called the delivery man and got straight voice mail so I left a rather firm message that stated my frustrations in the politest way I could without cursing. So after 3 hours, I finally got a hold of the man and of course he had a number of excuses told me he would be there in 20 minutes, of course that was a lie.
When they did get here, the fun didn't stop there. They gave me an excuse after excuse. I clearly did not want to hear what they wanted to say. So they get our mattress and then when it came to the adjustable frame we had they asked if I had any tools because they did not bring any tools. Hold the phone, I was suppose to get another adjustable frame delivered so I guess their delivery men come unprepared as well. I have never had a problem with them before this incident. This was our third mattress from them and it was always a pleasant experience. Oh on top of that, they didn't bother to say have a nice day or apologize again, or give us something to sign so now I have to go to the store to ensure they in fact took us off their books. Do not go to Mattress Firm ever. We are now going to the competition.

I assumed since this is a well known company, delivery wouldn't be an issue. It then starts raining making my old mattress useless. By 10PM, no mattress. I call the next morning. They said my number was wrong and the access gate was closed. They did have the incorrect number, although I'm not sure how as the CSR read it back to me correctly.
The gate was not closed as it had been stuck open since the day before. They refunded the delivery cost and said it would be there on the 6th. I slept on my couch. The 6th arrives and again no mattress. I call again the next morning on a Saturday and again they still didn't have the correct number. Fuming, I demand a supervisor and something to rectify me having to sleep on my couch for two days. I was told again they would deliver the mattress that night but no manager is there until Monday. The form is returned from MF denying any warranty & the remarks/other measurements are not even written on the submitted form.
Consequently, I contact MF & they finally decide to send someone else to "measure" the indentation. This guy shows up w/ a homemade device made of yarn & baby socks & tells me it's "industry standard!" I'm writing so you can have an idea of what my experience was with Mattress Firm. In the first place, I purchased a Groupon for $50 towards $200 at Mattress Firm to buy a new mattress, so I did. When I got to the store, the salesman was very nice and helpful, but when I decided that I was going to get the 200 dls mattress and he would not make a profit out of it, he got so rude. Since I had the Groupon, I figured I did not have to pay anything for the mattress (as it was $189.99), but the guy told me he needed to charge me at least a dollar because otherwise he could not make the transaction so I gave him my card. When I got home, I saw a charge for $345 from Mattress Firm. So I immediately called the store to see what was going on...
They said they messed up and that they would immediately remove the charge. Then I called again and they told me it would take about 3-5 business days to pass. When the 5 days passed, I still had not received my money back, so I called the customer support and they could not find me in the system. After calling the store again, they finally found me in the system and they told me that the ticket was still open but that they were going to close it that day and that I would get my money back in 3-5 business days from that day. I was pretty pissed at that moment...
It's been now 5 days and I still haven't got my money back. Today, I had some bills to charge automatically from my bank account and naturally, the money was not there because they have not returned it. So now, I have an overdraft fee from my bank and no money back from them. I called them to say that they should pay for my overdraft fee and they said it's not their problem and that they are still processing that refund. They were very rude and not helpful at all. So now I'm stuck with an overdraft fee and I still don't have my money back..... PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM MATTRESS FIRM, WORST CUSTOMER SATISFACTION EVER...

My son narrowed down his preferred choices to three Hampton Rhodes mattresses. The store manager had to check to see if they had the one he really wanted to purchase in-store. Of course they didn't have it, but he would sell us the floor model at an additional discount. I said it would have to be a REALLY good discount to purchase a mattress that everyone and their dog had been lying on in their clothes and shoes. His reply, "Well, we've only been open for 2-3 months so it hasn't been that many people", and "Would you want to take it today?" Of course we would.
He replied that since it was a holiday weekend he wanted to keep it until Mon/Tues, otherwise it would leave a big hole on his showroom floor. What???? (Not my problem, dude.) I said we needed it today and again pointed out the fact lots of folks had laid on it. His reply, "That's what mattress protectors are for". He got annoyed and said we couldn't have it until Mon/Tues and never did tell us what the great discount would be. I also expected he might try to offer another mattress in its place. I spoke to the store I purchased it from and was told that I would have to pay a $25.00 fee to have someone to come to my home to tell me what we already know. The person will actually come to inspect the mattress then give an opinion as to exchange or tell me too bad. I was told the $25.00 fee was better than other mattress places who would just tell me too bad they won't do anything.
I am now stuck with a bad box springs because I feel I shouldn't pay a $25.00 fee. I feel I should get a percentage back on the box springs or a store credit for other items. As we all know that any new box spring they will replace with will 1) not match my set, or 2) will do the same thing and make the noises. My main concern is the $25.00 fee and why do I have to pay someone to tell me the bed is broken.

First of all it should be no mystery that mattress manufacturers have cornered the market with substandard products and implemented a new breed of mattresses that are inferior to old standards. For example, good luck finding a mattress that can be flipped over. Not too long ago mattresses were double sided so you could typically get 4 possible rotation cycles (side 1 head to foot and side 2 head to foot). Now mattresses only come one sided limiting how you rotate. I don't know about you, but now only being able to flip head to toe on one side serves no purpose when 2 people share it.
I say this maneuver by mattress manufacturers was a well-planned out gimmick to shove the risk down to the consumer and the mattress resellers. And it should be no mystery that mattress manufacturers have also relinquished all warranty processing up to the mattress resellers who have then crafted their own warranty processes such as Mattress Firms eloquent attempt to charge fees for exercising your warranty rights for a defective item. Then to further close any competitive gaps, mattress manufacturers are creating specific collections for resellers. What I mean, is try to find a mattress that is being sold at Mattress Firm at another reseller… Good luck. Comparison shopping days are over because they've made it impossible. I blame the manufacturers. Sealy, Simmons, Stearns & Foster. Extreme cost for half the mattress. I'm really waiting for a class action lawsuit, it’s about time.

She said that I could call and change my delivery date at any time once I paid the $40 processing fee for making my purchase over the phone (another surprise).
I called back on Tuesday, 9/10, at 9 am to request my bed be delivered on the 9/10. 10:15 rolled around and I decided to call customer service (now it gets good). I inform the rep that I was supposed to have a mattress delivered this evening between 7 p-10 p but no one has come or even called. She tells me to hold on. After she gets back on the phone, she tells me that the person who can help me is out for the day and that she can take a message to give to them. I ask her if there is some type of compensation I can receive since I was told I would get a mattress delivered this evening and I am sleeping on the floor. (crickets) then she says... "I am unable to help you but I can leave a message." I then ask, "What can you help me with and why are you taking this call?" She replies with "I am here to take messages and give to the reps in the morning." I am sorry but WHAT?!?!?
She starts to tell me that she will have someone call me in the AM on 9/11 and says, "Have a good night." I reply with "Don't you need my contact info?!?!?!" She says, "O yea, hold on," and takes it down. So to Mattress Firm... If I do not have a mattress in the AM and there is no discount, I will not accept this mattress and I will need a full refund. It was closing time, so I went back today (6/30/13). I was there at 4:00pm and patiently waited for a half hour as she had another customer.
After the customer (a married couple) left, I wanted to ask her a few more questions about my possible purchase. She was very rude and couldn't be bothered with me this time. She said it was the end of the month and she had a lot to do before 5:00pm. Apparently, she was afraid I might be asking more questions about their "dirty little secrets." I then walked out the door. She was so sweet and nice the day before when she wanted a sale and also with her other customer who made a purchase, but if you don't give her a "definite" yes answer, she turns nasty and rude.

I purchased a Simmons Beautyrest Mattress but it was too hard, and the box springs were broken and didn't fit my frame. So I went back to the store and the salesperson talked me into getting a mattress that I really didn't want, and I had to pay $318 more for it. The mattress was awful so we went back to the store and spoke to the saleslady. She said she would have to talk to her manager to see if he would change it again. I called her a week later and she said she was going to go ahead and change it.
I chose the Simmons Beautyrest Doublegate and they delivered it unfortunately with the box springs I had trouble with before. They are only refunding us at $ 84.26, and the mattress we purchased is less money than the one we had before which was the Plush model. I am now trying to get back my money and when I tried to call the salesman about how the box springs don't fit the mattress frame, he just blows me off. That makes me mad because the bed is costing us over $2,000.

Paid $25.00 to get inspected. The inspector said my springs had collapsed and the indention of my bed was almost 1 1/2 inches. I received a letter saying that they would not cover it, and noted that I have a ten-year warranty which I have had almost four years. When I talked to customer service out of Houston, Texas, they basically said it was my problem and that the inspector did not note that, and I told them they were crazy, that he did note it and that he had told me.
Still dealing with this problem, and note also that I am dealing with the customer service manager. I have been dealing with this for a week now. Simply put, Mattress Firm does not care about customers, and will not be getting any more of my business ever. I would tell any of my friends not to do any with them. Stay far, far away from that company. They do not care. They seem to be crooks!

On November 20, 2012, I purchased a Serta iComfort Genius King Mattress and foundation from Mattress Firm. After four months, it lost its support and firmness. It sags where you lay on it and my neck and back ache every morning for the last month. I went to Mattress Firm and filled out a product complaint form and paid $25 to have it inspected. The inspector placed a string across the bed and said it only showed sag of 1/2". I told him that it is a foam mattress and the foam rises after you get out of the bed, but it has lost its firmness and support. He said, "I don't know; I only measure the sag." I asked him to push on the area that I sleep on and he said, "I understand but I only measure the sag and send in the report."
I received the report denying my claim. The bed must show 3/4" sag. The point is, the foam mattress has lost its firmness, support and gives in when you lay on it. Mattress Firm does not care about comfort. I spoke to four Warranty Service reps and none of them would let me speak to a supervisor. I had one lady give me the number to Serta and Serta said they do not handle claims and I needed to contact the place I purchased it from. Do not buy a Serta iComfort Genius because it loses its support and firmness in a very short time. Do not buy from Mattress Firm because they will not deal with the problem and support and comfort is not covered by the warranty.

I went in and bought a mattress two weeks ago. The first one was defective box spring. It was warped and 2 inches wider than the mattress. I contacted my salesman Andre who said there must be a mistake. He gave me a free upgrade. This one has extra padding. When it was delivered, the box spring had rust on it and was worn in some spots. Deliveryman told me to contact the store. This time, salesman Mike puts the order in. On the day of delivery, they called me and said they will come within an hour.
Almost two hours later, they brought a different box spring. I slept on the new mattress for two days and now it has depression. I called salesman Andre today, 4/26/13 (my birthday). He told me the mattress will have depressions. I have gone to the Mattress Firm store six times. The deliverymen have been to my home three times. I am so pissed. I am a disabled veteran. I went to the Mattress Firm on March 30 and purchased the mattress and box spring. The original price was 799 dollars online, and I bargained for $750. The associate whose name is Cheryl said, “Go home, now.” I was really pissed off. However, no one else in the store could help me out on that day. So I decided to leave the store, but she called me back to agree with the price at 750 dollars. I return back to take that deal because I need that bed in the next couple of days because I have new family member moving in.
She was even mumbling something on the price is so cheap, with ridiculous laugh. I tried to ignore her any movement and just waited there and watched her snail-slow computer process. I even doubt about if she has ever been trained. Finally, she told me the product would get to my home about two days later at 10AM on Apr 1, 2013. April 1, 2013 - April Fool’s Day? Were they playing games with me? If yes, I can tell they were playing ridiculous foolish game, and they screw their business.
I was excited waiting my new bed at home in the morning. 1 hour past the scheduled time, 2 hours past, and 3 hours past, I did not receive any call from them. I called them to ask what was going on. Someone named “Nada” in the store answered the phone. I asked, "Where is my bed now?" She told me that they simply cannot deliver today. And I didn’t even get an apology from her. She had me rescheduled on another two days later on April 3, 2013. Friend listening now, you can’t believe what I’m going to say. They told me they were not able to deliver to me again because, she said, their truck was broken down. Two times, promise was broken. Can we still trust Mattress Firm or her?
I decided to cancel the order, but Ms. Nada apologizes for the problem and will give a partial refund of 50 dollars back to my account. And you can believe me, I gave her the third chance. Now I don’t even know why I did that. She promised that the order will be at my home on April 5, 2013 at 8PM. Only God knows what the Mattress Firm manager at Fayetteville was thinking about how to run their business with those types of salesperson.
Near to the end of my negative experience at Mattress Firm. Last night, the truck driver called me before they arrived. They were much nicer than the saleswomen at the Mattress Firm store in Fayetteville. In my opinion, I think they should switch positions. Two gentlemen were trying to find something for a couple of minutes, and I was standing on the side with curiosity. I was kind of moved by them after I found out they were trying to find their plastic shoe bag in order to cover their feet to step into my house. Why are ordinary workers much more courteous and polite than the store salesperson? This is something that Mattress Firm Management should be rethinking for your corporation’s future.
Mattress Firm's Management, do you want to keep those disqualified employees to disqualify your customer who love your product, or do you want to have excellent employees to bring you the excellent business sales! This is a naive question. We all know without speaking it out. Isn’t it?
Last thing, I came back to store today for the mattress metal base stand. Two ladies were still there. Cheryl greeted me with few laughs. Nada wasn’t saying anything but was looking at her computer screen. They sell me the metal stand for 69 dollars, which isn’t match to what they promised me at 50 dollars a week ago. Disappointed, I don’t really care about price. However, I just can’t stand that they don't do what they said. I took the metal stand at the price of 69 dollars without extra word with them.
Finally, this is the most horrible buying experience in my recent years, which I'll definitely keep in my mind for a long time. What a nightmare. Hope this can help someone who is going to shop Mattress. Please support if you have similar experiences, because each of us is the power, to force them become change and get better service for society. (Please excuse me the grammar errors in my article, and I promise this is true story.)

I have 2 issues with Mattress Firm on a mattress I purchased on January 8, 2013 and had delivered on January 21, 2013. First issue: I purchased a mattress from their outlet center on E. Colonial Drive in Orlando. After much haggling and expressing that I wanted a mattress with a warranty or I was going to Ikea, I was told they could sell me a new Sealy Memory Foam Mattress with a 20 year warranty. The mattress was delivered with no warranty attached as I had been told it would be. I called and was told they would "type one up for me" and mail it; I never received it. I contacted them through the website, and I got an email with a warranty card attached. Issue resolved, or so I thought.
Problem number 2 popped up on March 24. I was vacuuming under the bed, and I dislodged a yellow piece of paper stating that this mattress had been sanitized on January 3, which means that I was sold used items and promised new. I immediately contacted them via the website, and I also filed my second complaints with the BBB and State Attorney General's Office. I received a response from a **, the store manager, pretty quickly. And we have been corresponding back and forth until the last few days when all correspondence has stopped. I sent another email stating that I was waiting to hear from them regarding the $200 refund I requested - still no answer. My next step is legal action. I will give them until the end of this week to resolve this matter to my satisfaction, and then I am contacting an attorney.
I actually love the mattress, but to sell someone a used mattress and tell them it is new and also tell them it has a 20 year warranty (I was told by the salespeople that only new mattresses had warranties) is consumer fraud. I want Mattress Firm to refund me $200 either in the form of a check or a pay down of what I owe with Progressive Finance. I need a resolution to this with money in hand or a reduced amount owed on the mattress by Saturday, April 6, or I am taking legal action.

They promise all these guarantees, but once they get your money, you are screwed. They came into my town of West Palm Beach and bought out all the competitors, even opening stores 2 blocks away. I complained to the Better Business Bureau, but the complaint gets forwarded to the main office. So if you look them up in your own town, there are no complaints against them. Mattress Firm has been trying to screw my family over for the past month. I ordered my bed on Labor Day 2012. They have been canceling for over 4 times; the last time when I finally got frustrated and called my salesman. Instead of getting an apology, he raised his voice on the phone. I had to come over with my dad to settle the agreement (it has been over 3 weeks and we still haven't received our beds, total $3,500). He didn't apologize. Instead, he gave us bunch of excuses, talking trash and raised his voice again.
Afterward, when he couldn't get us to wait for more time, he tried to charge us for compliment pillows and blankets. He said that it was in the contract, and when I pulled out the contract and read it to him, guess what, it wasn't there. Then, I had to ask him to call his district manager to settle the agreement, since he doesn't want to cancel my contract. The district manager agreed to let us cancel with $10 charges for 2 blankets.
The next day, the manager called and apologized. I felt bad for her so I gave Mattress Firm another try, and guess what, I was wrong. They tried to screw us over the second time. On the phone she mentioned that she would give us 30% off. To me, she said if we agree to wait for 3 more days for all the bed delivered at the same time, then we can have 30% off of $3,500. However, when she talked to my brother, she pushed the matter, saying she can still give us 30%, even if we have 2 beds delivered on the same day, and another one on Monday (9/24/2012). She didn't mention that the 30% off of the $689 bed.
When we got to the store on Monday, she twisted, and said it's 30% off the bed original price, which is $889. So basically, we only get $60 off. At that time, we can't really sign the contract for the two beds that already delivered, because we would get charged $140 for return. We canceled the 3rd bed though. Their promises are **! 14278 Biscayne Blvd in Miami, FL. In March 2011, I bought a mattress that was defective. In order to receive a store credit, I had to pay a $25.00 warranty fee (which they refused to waive) to have Mattress Firm send a mattress expert, a private contractor from out of town to come into my home to measure, set weights and take pictures of my mattress to make sure the mattress was defective. However, this man's expertise is not valued because his report is reviewed by Mattress Firm. The company is the one who makes the final decision of whether to provide the customer with a store credit or not. Why hire a middle man when you make the final decision?
Finally, after four stressful weeks worrying about if I was going to receive a store credit, I received full store credit to buy another mattress. In April, when I received my letter of credit, I went back to the store and selected a new mattress. I was informed that I had to pay for a delivery fee. I believe it wasn't my fault the mattress was defective. Why do I need to pay for this delivery? Since I was having a lot of back pain, I had no choice but to pay for the delivery fee of $79.99.
When the new mattress arrived on June 7, 2012, the mattress was worse than the original mattress I had. I was informed by the delivery driver to contact the store. I contacted the store but I never received a call back from the store manager ** because he is so overwhelmed he never has the time to return my calls. That is when I called customer service and ** had the District Manager ** contact me, which he did. He had a second mattress delivered the next day, June 8, 2012, and once again, the mattress was defective. Once again, I informed the driver and he informed me that I had to call the store that he could not take it back. I called the store to inform the District Manager that the mattress was defective again. I hand delivered pictures of the mattress to the store.
As of today, I’m still waiting for the third mattress which hasn't been delivered due to unforeseen circumstances: 1) Mattress Firm never confirmed or called to inform me they were delivering the mattress and I was not home and too far to make home on time. 2) Mattress Firm delivery driver did not want to carry the mattress to the second floor because the elevator was broken. I submitted complaint on your website and never received a response.
After almost six months, I am done dealing with this issue. I called customer service requesting a refund and I was informed that your policy states that the mattress must to be picked up first and the customer will receive their refund 5 to 7 days after the mattress has been picked up. I paid $25.00 plus $79.99 which is money lost for me and now I have to wait and see if I get my refund 5-7 days after the mattress is picked-up. What guarantee do I have that you will refund my money back, a piece of paper stating that the mattress was picked up?
So now, Mattress Firm has my money and my mattress. Meanwhile, I have no mattress to sleep on and no money to buy another mattress because I have to wait 5-7 days for a check for my refund, which I have to take to the bank, deposit it and wait until it clears. It seems Mattress Firm has no consideration for their customers. After going through all of this with your company, I didn't even get offered an upgrade to keep me as a customer. I bought this mattress in good faith thinking Mattress Firm was selling me a good product that would last me for years. This company has disappointed me.

The person whom Mattress Firm sent out to measure agreed that we had a viable claim. However, Mattress Firm denied our warranty claim because the sag measured only 1-1/4 inches and it had to be 1 and 1/2 inches to qualify. We were told we had to buy a $150.00 mattress protector in order to have the warranty. We also had to buy Serta's box springs. By July 3, I could no longer stand the back pain I was having from this mattress, so we returned to the store to get a refund. I then found out that you do not get a refund of the $150.00 mattress protector, even though I was told it was a requirement of the warranty. I also had to pay $70.00 for them to pick it up.
When they arrived to pick it up, one of the men told me the mattress was damaged. What? I asked him how that could be since it was three weeks old and hadn't been moved since they installed it. I asked him where and he pointed to an area at the headboard portion of the mattress. It seemed as if the layers of gel hadn't been glued down properly or something. We never saw it as they installed the mattress protector and the mattress was completely covered. So, they gave us a defective mattress to begin with and since they covered it with the mattress protector, they knew we would never know. They had to call someone in the warehouse for approval to still pick it up.
First, they kept $220.00 of my money for me receiving nothing. Secondly, it is now July 10 and the money has still not been credited to our account. When we bought the mattress, the money was taken out of our account the next business day. Third, I am disappointed in that the original installers did not tell us of the damage in the mattress. Until this, we were going to purchase another mattress set from them for the upstairs guest room. (We are getting a waterbed for ourselves. I had one years ago and loved it.) Now, I will definitely go elsewhere with my business.
