Bought a mattress and motion bed 3 years ago, have called the store numerous times about the mattress. It is sagging badly in the middle, no results! Called the company and was told about all the charges for someone to come and check it and the delivery charges. Why do I have to pay these charges when their product is defective. Will never deal with them again and never recommend them to anyone.

I have to say I'm very unhappy with Mattress Firm. Everything started off pleasantly but when I found the same mattress from a competitor for MUCH less I became rather unhappy. But after a quick call to the Mattress Firm customer service number they told me about the competitor price match guarantee since the mattress I bought falls under that policy. I was told that I need to speak with the store about getting my money refunded to me (as this was after the purchase). I was transferred to the store and he were unwilling to believe the price difference but after looking at it himself, he said he would refund me the difference to honor Mattress Firm's policy.

Five minutes later I get a call back saying he is unwilling to honor this policy. I've never been more unhappy with a company before. I've purchased mattress from other companies who have a price match guarantee policy and as long as my purchase meets their requirements they have honored their policy. Apparently Mattress Firm like to present the illusion of the best cost but in reality like rip off customers who found the same mattress for a cheaper cost. I will be making sure to let people know about Mattress Firm's "price match" policy!

Mattress Firm DENIED warranty claim based on FABRICATED inspection results. I purchased a SEALY POSTUREPEDIC queen mattress set + frame + delivery for a total of $1367.44 on 3/13/2015. In a little over a year, mattress developed a HUGE LUMP in the middle of the bed plus 0.5 inch depression/sags on each side. The bed is obviously DEFECTIVE and USELESS. Contacted Mattress Firm, and specifically notified them that I was filing the claim because of the LUMP. Inspector came out on 8/8/2016. Inspector did a standard inspection, and took pictures of the bed from multiple angles. Confirmed that there is a HUGE LUMP in the middle of the bed that is over 1.5 inches tall and 0.5 inch depression sags on each side. Inspector told me that I shouldn’t have any issues moving forward.

One week later, I receive a letter in the mail denying the claim stating that “body impressions are considered normal.” The letter also states that the inspector ONLY found 0.5 inch depressions on left and right side of the bed, with NO mention of the huge defective lump in the middle, which is obviously a lie. Mattress Firm is clearly not a reputable company, and their warranty is just a sales device used to trick customers into buying their poor quality mattresses.

I ordered mattress and foundation online. Only foundation has arrived and nobody at company can locate mattress. FedEx never picked up though they show Mattress Firm scheduled pick up 6 days ago. They want to charge me $149 to cancel even though this error is clearly on their end. Even being told it will be 4 more days before I can get an update. The customer service online and via phone has been horrible. It's as if I shouldn't be upset that my card was charged for a product that I have not received and they cannot locate. Really horrible service. I will never use this company ever again.

Went to one of the locations yesterday since I am in desperate need for a new bed, and since one of my friends recommended me to the location I figured I would give it a try. We got there and I told the sales associate what I was looking for in a bed and price range and he told me that I would hate it and lead to the ones that were ridiculously over budget and not what I was looking for AT ALL. I finally found one that I loved and was in my price range (without his help) and asked about the 90-day financing since I get paid Saturday and would be able to pay it off then. He told me they only offered 12-month financing and the credit card.

I really didn't want my credit to be run but I was told that was my only option. Then was told that if I wanted to take the mattress that day I would be charged a convince fee for them to get the mattress out of the back room. A FEE TO DO THEIR JOB?!? A FEE FOR DELIVERING THE MATTRESS MYSELF?UNACCEPTABLE. They went ahead and pulled the mattress out and I decided to take my business elsewhere. Extremely unhappy with my experience, and as someone who has worked retail and had to pull heavier products out of the back for customers FOR FREE I feel like I was being taken advantage of. If this is how you want to run a business then you will eventually fail.

I purchased a queen Beautyrest mattress dated 4/20/2013 price $726.07 with Mattress Firm. The sales person stated and shown on the label that the mattress has 10 years warranty. The last 6 months my mattress is sagging and sinking. It's terrible, we are unable to have a good night sleep on it, I and my husband's back start getting ache.

Dated 6/27/16 I submitted a warranty service to have my mattress inspect, they never call me even though I had provided two different phone numbers on the form. Dated 8/9/16 I called Mattress Firm to follow up and found out that their processor incorrectly input my phone number and didn't even input my secondary number into their system. I found this company is not reliable company, people should be aware when you purchase your mattress with Mattress Firm.

I purchased a king mattress for our spare bedroom for my sister. The sales person gave me a receipt only. No information of return policy paperwork. To save money I have a truck so I said we will pick it up when she calls to inform us it has been delivered to the store. All went well. I picked it up a few days later. After my sister sleeping on it for a few days she told me she did not like it and said she will buy her own mattress. I called the store to ask about the return policy and the salesman told me I had 120 days to return it and there would be a restocking fee of $149.00. I agreed to the fee and said I will return it. I said thank you and we hung up.

My husband worked all day and when he got home he and my brother put it on the truck and proceeded to return it to the store. When we got in the store with the mattress the salesman there was extremely rude and said we should have scheduled a pick up and all the information about that is on the back of our receipt. When I told him it was not he proceeded to toss a copy of the sleep happy guarantee sheet at me and was frantic for us to get the mattress out of his store and call for a pick up. After reading the sheet he gave me there is no phone number on it and I had to call the store for a pick up. What a big inconvenience and the feeling of being embarrassed in front of all the customers there.

The staff is very unprofessional. I am a business owner and would never treat my customers as I was treated. It cost time, gas and physical labor for my family members to return this mattress and be told to bring it back home and wait for them to come get it. This should have been explained when I called to ask about the return policy. Also the receipt that has been sent to me via email for the return is wrong. I paid $40.00 for tax and they are only returning $29.50 of my tax. I would like to be compensated for time, labor and embarrassment due to your unprofessional staff members.

I ordered a twin mattress set by phone and was told that delivery on the desired date would be between 9-3pm and that a call the night before would give us a smaller window within that time frame. This was important because we were driving two hours from home to the townhouse where it was to be delivered and needed to be home by 5pm. I expressed my desire to have as early a delivery as possible because 3pm would be cutting it close. The night before an automated delivery call stated that we were scheduled from 2:45-4:45pm. What??? That's NOT between 9-3 and we would never have bought the set from them had we known that.

SEVERAL attempts to reschedule were made and HOURS on the phone were spent. Everything from being on hold for 10 minutes at a time, then being disconnected, to being transferred to different people who had NO clue how to help me. Finally my original sales person (Lincoln) was reached and assured me that 2:45pm was going to be the delivery time, no later. Okay, not ideal but that IS within the window we both had agreed on. Needless to say, 2:45 came and went, no delivery. We had to leave at 3:00 to get back home by 5pm. We had to inconvenience the people next door (that we don't even know well) to wait and accept the delivery.

At 5PM I received a call from the driver of the truck asking for DIRECTIONS?? No GPS? Seriously? It was not a hard, out of the way address at ALL. After talking them through the directions, they FINALLY arrived at the townhouse AFTER 5pm! Everything about this delivery from beginning to end was UNACCEPTABLE, mainly the HORRIBLE customer service and communication during the EIGHT hours earlier that day. It truly ruined our entire day of moving my daughter into her townhouse, not to mention inconveniencing neighbors and cutting it close to make it back home in time for an important event.

This company is AWFUL with the exception of Lincoln (original phone sales rep), who DID seem to have some level of care and concern towards the matter. I was offered a $75 credit for "my troubles." Really??? How about I will NEVER do business with them again, and I will also tell the THOUSANDS of parents I know who have kids going to school in the Amherst area NOT to use them under any circumstances, as well as anyone else I can tell. It's about Customer Service people, not the product. There are PLENTY of places to buy the very same mattress sets.

They are the biggest liars and scammers on the planet. They want you to lose receipts and move from home to home so they can use that as an excuse as to why you're not in their system. I purchased a bed set with adjustable base for my disabled spouse and was given free delivery. Upon receipt of item, I called the store and explained to management items would not fit in bedroom with medical equipment provided by veteran affairs. Salesperson was very bothered but accepted return with a return handling fee. The downgrade from queen to twin costs me an extra 999.99 (plus 80 shipping and 70 return fee). Salesperson indicated queen and twin were same price. When I questioned the price on receipt, she said she would submit an email to HIVE to correct the expanded price of item.

I have received the credit statement from Synchrony where the amount has not been adjusted and subsequent charges were added to my account without my authorization. I called the store, my saleswoman Julissa states the additional 171.03 charge 4 days later was due to an account reconciliation by the manager and not a direct purchase. Your product was recommended by my husband's orthopedic surgeon after an amputation. I feel robbed, cheated and taken advantage of. The fact I am 75 years old should not provoke your store to manipulate my account, deceive my trust and steal my money. I would like an immediate account review of all expenses and proof of purchases for the additional charge in question.

After having an "quote inspector" which we by the way we had to pay to come out on the company's behalf to perform the so-called independent test only to receive a response stating that the depression/sag (body impressions are considered normal) The Product inspection report dated 03/09/16 was conducted by MFRM Family of Brands TRXID# ** on 4/26/2016. This is not right! We bought the mattress in good faith from Mattress Firm and this is how they respond.

The inspection states (sm found 1/2 1sf of mattress and rsf of mattress), is considered normal. The problem with the so called inspection is that it was performed without us lying in the bed. Everyone knows there will be a dramatic difference when you are actually lying on the bed. This mattress sinks so low that we can feel the box springs underneath. This is ridiculous! I did some research and found that there is a class action suit underway in California against Mattress Firm for this very reason. All I'm asking is that Mattress Firm replace this mattress like their salesperson stated. Please Mattress Firm just agree to replace this mattress so that we can get a good night sleep.

I bought a new mattress & box spring. The incorrect mattress was delivered FOUR times. Apparently there was a manufacturing issue. Not the store's fault, which I totally acknowledge, however, they are responsible for dealing with product that isn't up to a customer's desire. After supposedly getting the correct mattress that I originally ordered, the mattress started to bow in the middle. I am a small individual. I called corporate several times asking them for a complete refund. No one did anything. I was promised call-backs from the regional manager. So now, I'm stuck with a $700 mattress that I don't want to use that causes back aches. Mattress Firm will convince you into buying a mattress, but don't expect any help after you make your purchase.

Updated 10/26/2016 - I spent $700 on a new mattress. The incorrect mattress was delivered 3 times. I had to convince the store that I had received the incorrect mattress. After 4 months, the middle started to sag. I called the store & they gave me every excuse as to why it was my fault. They finally sent a warranty investigator to my home. He told me that the mattress was indeed faulty & that I could expect a letter stating the gathered information & in-store credit.

To my utter surprise, I received the letter today, stating a refund is declined because there is a stain on my mattress. This company has given me EVERY excuse as to why this manufacturing issue is my problem. There is NO stain. The mattress has been sitting in my basement for MONTHS without use because it's sagging. It looks brand new. Its's been covered with a mattress protector. This company operates under a ridiculous amount of rules & stipulations. I will never refer Mattress Firm. At this point, I spent $700 for three wrong mattress deliveries and one sagging mattress which is still in my basement.

The only way to get a refund is on the one and only mattress that you select. If that mattress doesn't work for you, and they sell you a different mattress, you get NO trial period, and NO refund if the second mattress is not right for you! This happened to me! Really nice of you guys. Your store mgr. tells me that any warranty claims are handled in the store, that all I have to do is come in there and they take care of it from then on. But what they fail to tell you is that's a bald-faced lie. You have to download and print the warranty claim form then you have to pay an initial 25.00 fee for an inspector to come out. Then if they approve your claim you have to pay for delivery of the replacement which starts at 69.00. This is wrong. I've never had a company rip customers off like this. I showed them pictures at the store that shows the problem with the very cheap made expensive mattress and I have to pay them to stand behind their products. I will surely give them word of mouth advertising. Their rating should be minus 10.

We purchased a higher-end mattress on 01/04/2015. The entire right side of the bed's edge is now sagging and this is obviously a warranty issue. I wasn't concerned because of all the guarantees that were promised when we bought the mattress. But, then came the warranty process. The red flags starting going off when I was informed that not only do you have to pay to submit a warranty but the actual inspector that shows up "only takes pictures and measurements and doesn't make the warranty decision". The warranty decision is determined by someone who can't physically look at the mattress, but reviews pictures and measurements provided by the actual inspector. So, it wasn't a shock to me when I received a warranty declination letter stating that it will not be covered because there is an exclusion in the warranty on "bent border/grid wires".

Sorry, but the problem is more than just grid wires and a bent border. Even the inspector mentioned how the entire right side is collapsed. My question is to any Mattress Firm employee responsible for denying this claim. How would you feel trying to go to sleep at night on a NEW mattress and it feels like you are going to slide off? This seems like a scene out of the Rainmaker. "Deny all claims first!" Shame on you Mattress Firm!

Purchased a new mattress in April 2015 because I needed one. Contacted MF for a top of the line, extra firm mattress. Was sold a BeautyRest for $1500. After about 9-12 months, right after I paid it off, it began to sag in the middle, would roll into the middle dip when sleeping on it, couldn't get comfortable. I experienced severe back problems which continue to this day (I've had 4 treatments, 2 other treatments and now am scheduled for 1 last treatment to help my back). This brand new, $1500 mattress caused these problems and I followed through with Mattress Firm's warranty process to hopefully replace this nightmare of a mattress to alleviate my back problems and to be able to sleep.

After paying $25.00 and waiting almost 60 days for someone to come and look at my mattress, I received a letter from Mattress Firm denying my claim saying it was normal "Body indentations". Even the inspector said there was a significant "dip" in my mattress. When you look at it from the side, it just doesn't look right either. To date, my medical expenses for my back have totaled over $15,000 and I'm stuck with a $1500 mattress I have no idea what to do with. I can no longer sleep on the mattress. It's a nightmare. I cannot afford another mattress. I have been sleeping on the floor at nights. I trusted this company to sell me a quality extra firm mattress and they screwed me.

Go somewhere else. What are they doing? I read these reviews and none of them are good! Are they selling inferior mattresses with brand names? Something is really wrong here. Really, really wrong. The Better Business Bureau probably needs to be contacted. Any company that has these many issues with consumers should be shut down. I have my Mom's old mattress from 20 years ago and it's not as bad as the one I purchased from MF, and it's not a brand name either. If I would have only paid a couple hundred for this mattress I probably wouldn't be too surprised by my experience but I've paid a lot of money. There seems to be a pattern here with taking people's money and giving them I'm not sure what. I'm considering further legal action to get my money back.

I purchased a mattress from a Mattress Firm display at the Houston Rodeo in March 2016. I was told to try it for up to 120 days and that if I was not satisfied, I could return it for a full refund. In May of 2016, I called to return the mattress and was told that I would be charged a fee of $57 (later learned that it's actually a $149.99 fee) but that I had to talk directly with my salesperson before the return could be processed.

I called several times, left vmail messages, and sent 2 emails over a 10 day period before I got a response. I also visited a local store but they could not assist me because I made the purchase at a tradeshow and my salesperson lives in another state. When I finally reached him, I listened to his pitch about trying another mattress and told him firmly that I simply wanted to return it. He said he would arrange for the mattress to be picked up. IT TOOK 6 MORE WEEKS BEFORE THEY PICKED UP THE MATTRESS.

I called twice a week to customer service and to the salesperson about the pick up and each time I was told "We will confirm with you tomorrow or we will log your request in the computer and someone will call you." On July 2nd, with no forewarning, they came to pick it up. Someone just happened to be home to let them in. Today is July 8th and I have not received a credit yet. When I called the bank that Mattress Firm financed my purchase with to see if the return had been processed, they told me that they no longer do business with Mattress Firm (I wonder why?!?!?). Hopefully, the credit will appear soon!

Submitted the warranty form via email along with $25 MANDATORY inspection fee (Visa) on March 7th 2016. 4 months later no call, no inspection, no mail. Called and waited 45 min on hold then call dropped. Called again and prompter asked for call back number. Left phone #, no call. 1 week later I call again and waited another 45 minutes on hold. Vanessa answered and she stated that they have no info on me of filing any claim. 4 Months later, sleeping in guest bedroom she says that someone will call me to set an appointment. It can last 4-6 weeks?!? Thank you Mattress Firm for ruining half year of my life and counting! After posting this chances are that my warranty will be denied.

I was told if I returned return the mattress that I get full refund minus delivery free and restocking fee. So I returned the mattress to receive a lesser portion of the full price. If you buy an adjustable box springs they will NOT ALLOW you to return it. Only the mattress at a charge of $149.95. We went to Mattress Firm to purchase a new mattress. Both my husband and myself have both back and neck injuries. We were told that by purchasing the mattress and adjustable box spring that we did for $3499.00 that is would be a life changing experience and that it was the worst 3 nights of our lives.

We woke up in more pain than we went to bed in. Upon going back to the Mattress Firm within 3 days of purchasing the mattress we were told it would take 30 days to break the mattress in. They recommend we walk around on the bed every day to break it in quicker. The whole reason we bought a new mattress was to get a better night sleep. Wasn't told upfront it would take 30-60 days to do so. Upon returning the mattress and box spring we were told there was a $149.95 charge and that we weren't able to return the adjustable box spring or the new unused sheets that we were told we would need for this new adjustable bed. We purchased the Simmons Beautyrest mattress set from Mattress Firm and the delivery went very well. The first few nights we slept on the mattress is was extremely firm and we woke up with neck and back aches. We returned to the Mattress Firm showroom and explained our dissatisfaction with the mattress and they said it would take time to break in. They also recommended their 90-day return or Mattress replacement policy, which we had to spend an extra $149.99 for the return and delivery fees to get a softer but lesser quality Sherwood mattress set. The new model was softer but started to sag in the middle after about 6 months. We returned to ask about the return policy. We were informed by Heather that we had to demonstrate that the mattress had a defect by displaying a 1.5 inch sag or crease in the mattress and it would cost us an inspection fee of $25.

If we could not show that without laying on the bed, they considered it a comfort issue and would not replace the mattress. We have spent over $1000 on a mattress that we only needed to last us for a year and I have had the worst sleep of my life on these mattress sets. To put this into perspective, in my professional position, I travel the country for business and I now get better rest in the Hotel beds than in my own bed. We are in the process of building a home and will need 2 more sets of long lasting quality mattresses and I will NOT be buying them from Mattress Firm. My conclusion/theory is that the quality of the mattresses in the showroom sample (what the clients lay on and sample) are very different from what we actually received. We left out the store but came right back in because we said that a good deal. We received our product the same day. We were excited until we laid on it that night. Felt like a park bench.

Called the store the next day after waking up with shoulder, back pain, and numb fingers. Jessica told us to jump on the bed said it was like new shoes. It have to be broken in. I said ok. She said sorry. That was the end of our conversation. After a few more days called the store back. Wayne (manager on duty) was very nice said he would leave the message for store manager Spencer. I called Spencer the following day (4/27) He said he was waiting for clearance from corporate. He called me back saying they could change the mattress out but we have to pay $149 processing fee plus whatever the cost of the mattress we receive.

We clearly didn't get what we thought from the start. It's very unsettling that Spencer also said the same thing that Jessica said about shoes needing to be broken in. If you feel like you've been beaten to a pulp after waking up on your (new mattress) something is really wrong!!! 30 days really?? 30 min is torture on that bed. It's really sad how people act like they care so much until they have your money. Spencer ended our last call telling me it's the chance you take with buying any mattress. If we were told that the mattress we were gonna get was gonna feel like wood, we would have never bought it!! She definitely didn't tell us our mattress won’t gonna feel like the one we thought we paid for. I'm definitely done with them and would not recommend anyone to go there!!!

We purchased a Beautyrest King mattress 6 years ago and it soon developed a sagging problem in our two customer sleeping spots. We put up with it for a while and then decided that something should be done. I knew we had a warranty so I researched the process. I completed the paperwork that included proof of purchase. That 'application' was approved after about 3-4 weeks and then an inspector was sent out -- for which we paid $25 per the warranty. A very pleasant guy came and did the inspection and said that his inspection showed that we had a valid warranty claim. We then waited approximately 4 more weeks when we were sent a return authorization which we were told needed to be presented to the store when we went back to Mattress Firm. The return gave us the full purchase price as a credit against a new mattress.

We decided to see if they carried the best rated mattress coil spring mattress that we found in Consumer Reports. To our surprise they had the Serta Posturepedic Hybrid Elite Kelburn on the floor. We used the credit to reduce the price of the new mattress. Unfortunately, they informed us that the manufacturer would not honor a future warranty claim on the new mattress if we didn't have new box springs because the previous box springs -- although not defective according to the inspector -- were from a different manufacturer. That added $300 to the cost of the new set.

We initially wanted to see if we could negotiate a deal without disclosing the existence of the return authorization, as we had been able to negotiate the first purchase. The salesman was persistent in asking first whether we had ever been to a Mattress Firm store. I just ignored the question at first. He then wanted to know why we were looking for a new mattress. I decided not to avoid his questions further and told him we had the Return authorization. He then was very cooperative and did a good job of showing us his selection. He happened to show us the Kelburn first as his pick. When we tried it and liked it and found out that it was the best one we had previously identified, the sale was made.

The salesman was well-prepared and very courteous. The warranty was worth $760 instead of the $1,060 because we felt compelled to get new box springs so that we would again have a warranty claim. That was frustrating. We also were unable to negotiate so that was disappointing, but overall the experience was acceptable. The delivery people, by the way, chose the opposite stairs from what we thought should have been used. It turns out that they made the better choice. I'm glad I let them choose even though they said that would use the stairs I wanted them to use.

I can't give a 5 star rating because of the things I've mentioned, but overall it was a decent experience. We got a mattress that CR rated highly and we paid close to what we expected -- a bit more than we wanted to pay, but it was an ok transaction. Let's hope we enjoy the new mattress. Last night was the first night. It was ok. It'll take a few nights to see how happy we are with the top rated choice from CR.

After waiting 10 days with no mattress and no word of where it was. I sent an email to their customer support. On the site it claims that emails will be answered within 24 hours. Today will be day number 3 and still no response. I did call their customer services center after the 24 hour turnaround, the only plus I can give is that I did get in touch with a person right away.

I gave the representative my order number and she told me that there was a processing error and it was "being worked on right now as we speak," very convenient. Now I completely understand that occasionally issues can happen, but what really irks me is that I can verify that the company has my correct email address and phone number on my receipt. Don't you think that would be important information to give a customer? Surely there is someone who can take a few minutes to send an email or pick a phone.

Apparently not the Mattress Firm; they're way too busy. I then asked if there was an estimate of when this issue will be resolved and when the delivery will be made. The rep had no idea what to say and was told "Sorry, I don't know, 7 days?" And did not offer anything more than an awkward goodbye. It is now been two and a half weeks, I don't have a resolution, bed or any confidence in the Mattress Firm. I have a very funny feeling that I will be on the phone with them again in a few days.

After about a year the mattress started to dip and the box spring makes so much noise. I went into the store and was told I need to do a warranty claim AND pay 29.95 just for them to review my claim. I could just go to the store and ask for the same exact mattress set to be delivered from the warehouse and I would have to pay from 69.99 for delivery fee!!

I went to the store and the store manager just started to sell me something new. I explained that I did not want to spend any more money. I just want to exchange for what I have already. He starts to tell me that my mattress is discontinued. How is that my fault? That is why there is warranty. He showed me something "similar" to what I have now and it was nothing like what I have! I was insulted. He told me to call warranty and if they tell me that I can exchange it then he will do it. Mind you the wait time is over 30 minutes. I was so frustrated I walked out of the store. I refuse to pay them one red cent. Especially for a delivery fee. I'd rather use that money and go to Rooms to Go and purchase a mattress. He continued with his pitch so I politely but firmly told him that we were not going to buy today. He literally told me that he didn't appreciate us wasting his time selling us a mattress that someone else is going to get credit for! There was no literature in-store that refuted his claim. Sleeping on the cooling gel became painful after just a couple of nights. Subsequent online research confirmed the presence of cooling gel. When confronted, sales rep said that there is so little gel in the mattress that he thought it would not matter and no mattresses are available without cooling gel. The manager of that retail location told me that the sales rep would be dismissed except that he has been promoted to manage another retail location.

After several arguments, MF retrieved the mattress and box springs. I was refunded all but $226.78 of my original $2299.30 purchase. Even though I refused to pay the $149 restocking fee, I suspect a portion of what they owe me is that. I would never have suspected that the product would be deliberately misrepresented. I would never have suspected that they would violate their own contract. Oh, and there are many satisfactory luxury mattresses made without cooling gel, including SAATVA, which sells online.

We purchased a high-end king mattress from Mattress Firm about 5 years ago. We went there because it was close to our home. The first mattress was sagging on both sides just after a few weeks. They sent out a guy that measured the mattress and agreed that it was sagging. We went back to the store since we didn't want another one like the one we had purchased, and picked out another mattress. Sure enough, after 2 or 3 weeks it was doing the same. This story goes on for another 2 mattresses. The guy coming out to measure the saggage, could not believe it. So, in total, we've replaced 3 mattress and now have the 4th one that we are stuck with. We would be more comfortable on the floor. All of them have been horrible.

Of course, we could not get our money back as it was over their 30 day refund period. Really? 4 mattresses that are garbage and still can't get our money back? Good luck trying to get hold of their corporate office... That's a joke. If I lived in TX, I would take the mattress I now have, and put it out in front of their corporate offices and just eat the money. Pitiful. DO NOT EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM MATTRESS FIRM! BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!

Did not ship on time. Were not helpful. Were not nice. The mattress (Hampton and Rhodes 12" san martin "bed in a box style") has a very strong chemical odor. I have the window open (even though it is cold outside) to ventilate our room, and my eyes, nose and mouth are irritated - our room smells like chemicals. Why do I have the feeling that this mattress is not going to last long? And that it'd be a waste of time to get a replacement.

Before they shipped, their idea of "customer service" was a total red-flag to me. I let them know that I was not happy about the delay in shipping, or the lack of service once I contacted them - so they finally offered to cancel the transaction or give a 10% refund. I immediately said to cancel - they then tell me "too late, already shipped product". I tell them to honor the 10% refund offer and the "tone" of their response was not kind (or appropriate). Ugh... you get the point. *Oh, and by-the-way, still waiting to see that refund post. Wish my eyes would stop stinging. IF I COULD DO IT OVER, I'D HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH SOMEONE ELSE. BUYER BEWARE!

I purchased a Serta icomfort series king mattress. Within 3 months, my the bed was so lumpy with a huge ridge in the middle of the bed so high that in the night I roll off the mattress and smash my head on my night table. I called Mattress Firm and Serta to send them pictures of the dents which measured 1.25 inches where my warranty for the mattress I bought says they will replace my memory foam mattress when the depressions are.75 of an inch.

Mattress Firm sent out some seedy person with a bungee cord attached at both ends with the type of clamps used to jump a car. He clamped the material over the edge of the side of the mattress over to the other side and said "see 1/4 inch indentation". I was astounded. First of all nobody sleeps from side to side on their beds. We sleep head to toe. Secondly with the clamps and elastic bungee cord, it pulled the fabric on the top of the mattress so tight I could have put a 5 pound weight on the fabric and it would not show any indentation. I told him to leave and that I was not going to be tricked by this tomfoolery. After calling the corporate office for Mattress Firm and Serta and sending them photos showing indentations of 1.25 inches using a hard metal measuring tape and a ruler held gently and vertically I was told they would waive the "inspection" fee and in 3 months send out another inspector.

I will be darned if they did not send out the same trickster who this time said the bed only had an 1/8 inch indentation! I tried to contact the CEO of Mattress Firm and Serta as well. I could only get to the head of customer service who said "too bad." This ridiculous method of measuring indentations in the bed was now accepted in the industry. I said "then no mattress manufacturer or distributor would ever have to honor a warranty."

I am warning everyone who buys from Mattress Firm or Serta... Beware. Their warranties are worthless and so too the mattresses. They could not care less about their reputations. I spent over $3000 at Mattress Firm and brought in another customer who also purchased a mattress from them. I have finally ordered a mattress from another company and anxiously await being able to lie down on my bed. I will not settle for anything less than a refund for the 2K for just the mattress from Mattress Firm. I am not holding my breath but I will spread the word as far and wide as I can.

I contacted Mattress Firm about my bed that was sagging so much that I had back pain every night. They sent over a "tech" to check out the mattress. My mattress has TWO mattress covers on it and looked brand new when the tech came to the house except for the bad sagging. I had not heard from Mattress Firm for about six weeks so I contacted them to find out the results. Keep in mind that I live by myself and I am 125lbs. First they claimed that the mattress was only sagging 1 1/4 inches (that was after turning it only three weeks before). They told me they won't do anything about it unless it is 1 1/2 inches. A quarter of an inch for a mattress that is not a pillow top and is supposed to be a firm mattress. I was then told it had a yellow stain across the bottom.

I told her that when the tech came there was no stain on the mattress that it was always covered with two mattress covers along with normal sheets and blankets and that there was no way that there was a stain anywhere. After asking to have a Supervisor come out to look at the bed I was told I could only have someone come out after three months. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and I was told there was no Supervisor because they were all on the phone. I told her probably because so many people were complaining about their lousy products. Since she would not let me speak to a Supervisor I hung up deciding to call back. I took all the blankets, sheets, and two mattress covers off the bed and found a long yellow stain across the mattress which obviously was put there when the tech pushed the mattress up against the freshly polished furniture when he was checking the box springs.

So now I have a mattress which according to the tech's measurements (which were also skewed because I watched him do them) are a quarter of inch less than their requirement and the mattress is now damaged with a pencil thin line that goes across the entire width of the mattress. I called the "Mattress Firm" back and spoke to another person asking to speak to a Supervisor and I was told after being lied to the first and second time that Supervisors don't come to phone to talk to people. According to Mattress Firm if two people over 200lbs can get their mattress to sag to 1 1/2 inches before the five year mark they can get a new mattress, but if you're 125lbs and you live by yourself 1 1/4 inch sagging for one of their mattress is satisfactory and they will not stand behind their product.

I think Mattress Firm should stand by their product based on an individual basis rather than one size fits all. I am now going to have to replace this mattress because it is causing me so much back pain that it is not comfortable to sleep on. I also want to add that when I purchased this mattress I told the Salesman that I did not want a pillow top because I needed a firm mattress and from past experience a pillow top was not comfortable. The first mattress I bought from them lasted 12 years so that's why I went back to them and because they kept telling me how they stand behind their mattress I was inclined to trust them.

On the 12/12/015 exchange mattress to accommodate the base and also purchase a headboard too at SNELLVILLE store. All delivered the next day. The delivery team spent a hour trying to fit headboard to base without luck. Phone Mr. ** and explain the situation, all we wanted was to swap out the base. Told him we were happy with the Clermont mattress and would like to keep the headboard. Told us to reject the new mattress and talk with to head office. Told again not possible to change the base, so they took the mattress and headboard back, left with a base. I spent many hours calling and emailing until they agree to take back the base at a cost, wanted 20% restocking fee and a return fee. With all items returned, I am now $600 plus out of pocket, we have tried to accommodate Mattress Firm in every way possible and came to nothing. I will never recommend this company.

It was not the mattress I had planned to purchase, but the 3 sales people in the Atlanta, GA Mattress Firm Store sold me on the fact that it could be returned for a $149 fee. It is essentially a Tempurpedic mattress that sits on a motorized base that allows you to elevate the mattress. The cost is about $8,500. In less than 30 days I knew it was not the mattress for me. My husband contacted the store and was told the Tempurpedic mattress could be returned for a $149 fee, but the motorized bases valued at about $3,800 could not be returned.

The reasoning was that the mattress (the part we had slept on) could be sanitized, but the metal based and motor could not. We told them "that made no sense" and spoke to a series of Mattress Firm employees that were unhelpful and didn't care. We asked them why anyone would want to keep the $3800 motorized bases without the mattress? They had no answer. My husband even emailed the Mattress Firm Chief Operating Officer, Ken Murphy, through LinkedIn and received no response. I would not recommend doing business with this company even if you are just buying a standard mattress. The bad reviews on the Internet are numerous and they don't care.

Everything top of the line to the tune of almost $8,000.00. We were told if we were not happy with anything it could all be returned for $149 processing fee. First we found the same mattress set at a thousand dollars cheaper. Then we got a coupon for free delivery after paying $79.95. Then the icing on the cake was we found the base for $2000.00 cheaper on AMAZON. OMG, I feel ripped off. But when we tried to tell Mattress Firm we wanted to return everything they said "oh the bases are not returnable" The store manager lied to us and we were too stupid to believe her. Now 3 1/2 years later I wake up in pain every morning from arthritis in my hip aggravated by the not so plush mattress. I went in to ask about a different mattress and was informed there were 3 different kinds of mattresses available when I bought mine and they probably gave me the firm rather than plush. And then they offered to sell me a foam mattress more costly than what I am still paying for and the "only one recommended by the American Arthritis Society" guaranteed for 12 years. Whatever happened to their Replace every 8 years motto? Contact with Mattress Firm only went as far as some manager from another state who lost interest when he discovered I was not his customer. They say a satisfied customer will tell 10 friends. A dissatisfied customer will never stop telling their story.

We have turned it but where my husband sleeps, if I had to get on his side I would fall off the bed. There is a mound going down the middle of the bed. I talked to the store and the office in Houston and they both said since it's regular outlet special I do not get a warranty. We will never go into any of those stores.

On September 30, 2015, I purchased twin "plain jane" adjustable beds from Mattress Firm for about $3842.48. These had no remote, vibrator, or heat. The mattresses were 3" shorter than the bases and was not only unsightly but a nuisance to put bedding on. After trying some of their other mattresses, we still had the same problem. I believe the base was not correctly sized but Mattress Firm insisted it was correct. I invited the area manager, Becky, in Lewiston, Idaho to come look at the situation to see what could be done to correct it. She refused, saying there was a law against her coming to look??

All the delivery people agreed that there was a misfit. I took pictures of it and sent to Becky so she could see it for herself. After trying out several different mattresses with the same results - 3" difference in matching up, I told Becky I wanted to return the whole mess! After almost a month of dealing with these disreputable people, on October 29, 2015, they finally came and picked up the mattresses only! They said the $2300.00 bases were an accessory item and not returnable!! When I called their customer service number at 866-942-3551, I was also told they were an ACCESSORY item and not returnable!

Their representative, Deandra, suggested I look elsewhere for mattresses to fit them as they would not accept them back! Now isn't this great customer service??? I called my credit card to dispute the amount of $2300.00 which they issued me a temporary credit on until the issue is resolved. I plan to file a complaint with our Better Business Bureau in Spokane when they are open on Monday. I have pictures of the ill-fitting beds and bases to prove what I am saying. I have posted these on my Facebook warning other potential buyers to beware. IF THEY ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR BEDS - THEY ARE STUCK WITH THE COST OF THE BASES!!

While it does say on the front of the invoice the bases are considered an accessory and not returnable, I don't think this policy should be enforced when it was not my fault the set didn't match correctly as it should! I am warning all my friends and neighbors including those on Facebook not to buy from mattress firm - it could cost them dearly if they aren't happy with the purchase!

Purchased a mattress from the state fair in 2015. Mattress is awesome, but the customer service with this company is awful! We didn't get everything delivered that we were supposed to get delivered. When I contacted customer service, it then became OUR responsibility to drive 20 minutes to the closest store one way and settle it. Salesman told me he tried contacting the store, but he NEVER contacted the store to arrange anything. We also were promised a mattress pad cover at the fair and because that wasn't delivered either and our pillows weren't delivered, the salesman promised (through a text message... how unprofessional) that he would give us the cover for free and WE were supposed to tell the nearest store that also.

Needless to say, that never happened. Salesman also promised bed would be delivered in 3 days. The day it was delivered was 3 weeks. I'm not blaming the retail store one bit. They're not the ones that promised all this. Very unprofessional. A lot of promises just to make a sale. Salesman never checked back with us to see if we were completely satisfied and if all our issues were resolved. His communication was always via text message. I e-mailed customer service 5 times with the e-mail address on their page and when I called checking to see if they received it, "oh that e-mail address doesn't exist". Our next mattress will be from someone that offers complete customer service.

My landlord bought a bed from Mattress Firm January of '15. The first day I had it, when I went to get on it, something separated inside. We called to try and get help because they said they had a guarantee, WELL THEY DON'T!!! THEY LIED. It was a $400 mattress. I called Sealy the manufacturer of the mattress, they wouldn't do anything about it. The bed continually got worse to where the sides of the mattress were bulging out and my back pain was terrible. Eventually the manager at the Bonita Springs Florida store said come in and "he'll take care of it," he sure did. I went in and he wanted to sell us another bed, a used one with less than three months on it.

They said the used mattresses go thru a rigorous cleaning and checking/testing system before being resold, we decided to go thru with it. I knew something was going to happen. You know the old saying, "first time, shame on you, 2nd time, shame on me", yep it was broke also. I flooded social media advertising for people, friends to never, ever buy a bed from Mattress Firm. Do your homework. I did research their financial standing and found them to have millions in assets. That's the problem with stores like this, they get so big, they don't care if they lose a customer here or there. Make sure you spread this message to everyone you know. I used to work for Sears, never, did we ever treat a customer as rude as these people did, ignoring you at every turn. Buyer beware. Stay away from Sealy and mattress firm. In June 2015, I purchased a Eclipse Ultra Deluxe 13" Gel Memory Foam Mattress and the 5D adjustable bed with Wireless Control and Massage from the online center of Mattress Firm. I love the bed but my issue was with the follow-up related to the 90 day purchase option provided by Progressive Leasing. It took MULTIPLE contacts over a period of several days with both Mattress Firm customer service and Progressive Leaning customer service just to get the paperwork processed - they kept saying they hadn't received paperwork I had faxed and/or e-mailed several times.

The bed was delivered in early July. It is now October, I am still trying to contact Mattress Firm and Progressive Leasing to arrange to make a final payment due. (Paid 1/3 up front.) Progressive Leasing says it is because the Mattress Firm store who sent the bed out has refused to respond to multiple requests for the paperwork, so in Progressive Leasing's eyes, I haven't purchased a bed yet. I don't like having a major payment hanging over my head near the holidays and I worry that the wires will remain crossed and I will somehow be blamed for a "late payment", despite verbal reassurances to the contrary from customer service. I tried to enter a review on the Mattress Firm site and got a message that access was "forbidden". In my mind, effective and high-integrity follow-up is as important to me as a good quality product. Next time I will check reviews much more carefully BEFORE making a major purchase.

They get you with the fact that they will replace or refund your money if you are not satisfied with the bed. This is not true. They kept refitting my bed situation but each delivery including the first is so delayed that by the time you say nothing is going to work here...It has been months, and the guy manager, Brian, a nice man, but...is fired and cannot be reached, and nothing he said will be verified. No one will call back ever and they manipulatively wear you down. This is the psychology they use with their customers and it worked. Each delivery is fraught with trauma as they don't show up, the first or second or third time they promised, while you take off and wait wait wait for them.

Suspected bed bugs on last delivery so I had the place fumigated with natural substances, which they would not do. I found a local TV station in Nashville TN, that did a piece on them, Bed Bugs included, Yikes. Their beds are inferior. What is it with their beds? Inferior makes on name brands I am thinking. Their customer service after you have bought is guerilla warfare. Their delivery people, horrible, which they admitted, as they had fired each that I dealt with.

The third and last bed a Stearns & Foster, has sunk in the middle...and they will do nothing to guarantee this. This bed was delivered this year, 2015. The third bed. Brian is gone, and the rest of them are useless. The further you go up in the company the worst the service. Please go anywhere but Mattress Firm or you will be sorely ripped off...

Matt made some calls and discovered that not only had the warehouse not fulfilled my order, they did not have the complete order available. I was disappointed, but agreed to accept two of the three mattresses on Monday, 9-14-15 at approximately 12pm. I was assured that the delivery would be made.

On Monday, 9-14-15, I received a call from Matt explaining that the delivery wouldn't becoming because the warehouse was unable to fulfill it. Matt, apologized and tried to arrange another time. Having had enough time wasted sitting around waiting for things I had paid for and my children sleeping on the floor waiting for beds that never came, I canceled the order and asked for an immediate refund. Matt said that it would take 5 days to get the refund of the cash I paid for the bedding. I told Matt that was not acceptable as I needed the money to purchase beds from somewhere else and I didn't want my kids sleeping on the floor that long.

Matt, who has been amazing through this whole situation said he would call his Area Manager. A few minutes after speaking to Matt on 9-14-2015, his Area Manager called and basically told me there was nothing he could do. He explained that the refund had to be approved to confirm the condition of the merchandise that was returned. I told him that I never received the merchandise. He didn't know what to say. I did drop the F-bomb once, and all he could do was get upset at me for being angry and saying a naughty word. What a complete failure in following through on a purchase. It cost me time from work, a missed soccer game and two wonderful kids without beds to sleep on. Matt was great. Nothing but thanks.

I am very dissatisfied with the Tempur-Pedic bed I had purchased about 1 month ago. I went into Mattress Firm in Robinson Town Center in Pittsburgh. I lay on numerous beds that they had on display and they all felt comfortable. So, the last bed that I lay on was the Tempur-Pedic cloud luxe and I was informed by the salesmen if I had purchased that bed I could receive half off on the purchase so I decided to purchase the bed thinking I could save some money and I was getting a deal. The salesmen told me that I could buy this bed and they just come right out of the warehouse. There would be a NO RETURN policy unless I had purchased the bed at regular price then I could return the bed if I decided I was dissatisfied with the product. So I proceeded to continue my purchase on this bed thinking I was purchasing the same bed that I had lain on in the store for half the price.

I was so happy to finally get a new bed. Well then 3 days later it was delivered and the guys set it up. Took it right out of the plastic so I assumed it was a brand new mattress. Every night that I have slept in this bed I wake up in pain tossing and turning all night and not getting a good night sleep. This bed is very hard to get up out of bed and I am a side sleeper so I cannot lie no more than 2 hours on my one side before I had to roll to my other side. Due to I get imprints of the bed on my (skin) sides and my hips and legs hurt so bad by the morning I cannot get out of this bed standing straight up without holding on to something so I have to sit on the edge of the bed for 20 minutes to get my posture together. After being out of the bed for 1 hour or so I can still feel pain in my hips from the bed.

I spent roughly $2,400.00 on this bed and I am stuck with it and I cannot return due to the NO RETURN POLICY. Because I bought straight from the warehouse. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BED TO ANYONE. I feel like I got half the quality because I paid half the price. This is not the same bed that I was promised would be getting delivered to my house. The bed that I lay on was much more comfortable and softer than what I received. The bed that was delivered to me I feel like I am lying on concrete and I am tired of being in pain everyday due to this bed. This was a very bad decision to purchase this bed and the product is terrible. Now. I am out of $2,400.00. I have a mattress I cannot use and sleeping in my recliner chair is much more comfortable than the Tempur Cloud Luxe. I feel like I just got ripped off with a very cheap quality mattress. Someone needs to contact me about this purchase as soon as possible.

What part of "same as cash" means that I should have to pay an EXTRA $50?! I declined and stated that I would pay with my debit card. After they ran my debit card for the full price of the mattress/pillow/frame and whatever else, they tell me, "sign here" and I see more fees that I wasn't told about! This time it was $150!! I asked what it's for and they said, "It's just a small restocking fee if you don't like the mattress". But two days ago when I asked about the return policy if I didn't like it no one said a dang thing about any fees. That was when I should have been told about it... NOT AFTER I PAY FOR THE ** THING!

I was more than a little upset and voiced my concern to the manager who claimed, "we are always upfront about our fees, that's why it's on this form for you to sign." When I demanded a refund for a charge that they had just taken from my debit card seconds ago, he proceeds to tell me that it's going to take 10 business days and I should "expect a check in the mail". I submitted a claim for the warranty against our mattress (2 yrs old) which has a deep body impression of around 2 inches and the bed is no longer supporting my back. After three weeks, I received no correspondence or a phone call so I called the Warranty Dept. They said my claim was 'in process' and that they had 4-6 weeks to resolve my claim. Conveniently, I did receive a call from a rude inspector who said she could have an inspector visit in another 3 weeks but that no set time could be given to me, only a day. I was to receive a call the day before as to a more specific time. I would have to set aside an entire day for the mattress inspector until the night before. I called back to the warranty dept and said this was unreasonable and that the process would take me past the promised 4-6 weeks. They sent me an email with instructions for how to take photos and do the inspection myself. I will update the status of this claim soon.

You must stay on top of these folks as they had completely forgotten my claim and once you file a claim, it could take way longer than 4-6 weeks and you will have to pay for all of the effort to "prove" the mattress or box spring has a problem. For now, be warned, you need to ask questions before you buy and get the answers in writing (verbal agreements do not count in this business): How many legs does the frame need to have to ensure you do not invalidate your warranty? Does an inspection cost me money or will your company pay for it? Detail the exact process of the warranty claim? Do I have to pay for delivery of a replacement mattress and if so, how much? Again, get these answers in writing with the sales person's signature!

BUYER BEWARE when purchasing from this company! In February, 2014, we paid $1,400 for a new Stearns & Foster mattress and box spring set. The sales woman said as long as we had a metal frame, this included a 10/25 year warranty. Not mentioned was the fact this set requires a five legged frame, whereas we had a 4 legged frame. The mattress sagged in the middle 1.5 inches, so it met the warranty requirements. Our claim was outright denied because we did not have the 5 legged frame (a mere $79 more). READ THE ENTIRE WARRANTY BEFORE BUYING!

So far my sister is satisfied with her mattress, I on the other hand am NOT! All around the box spring was unraveling, also the mattress itself had loose thread. I called my seller because I wanted my money back. He stated that I would get all but $149.00, also that they were doing far and beyond what was needed to just replace the mattress. Mattress was replaced, delivery late about an hour and a half, still there is loose thread on the mattress. I WILL NEVER go there again.

A year ago my husband and I set out to buy a new bed. We spent about $2000 on an icomfort. Not even a year later, the box springs for the bed started to bow and I woke up locking my hip. We went to the store where we purchased from and talked to the guy who said was the area manager. He told us we needed to contact customer service to start the warranty process and should take about 24 hrs. He lied. I specifically asked if this would cost us anything out of pocket after reading stories about people being charged restock fees, delivery fees etc. He assured me the warranty would cover everything. He lied.

2 weeks later we received a notice in the mail for our warranty for the paperwork **, the area manager said he needed. Not 24 hours; yet everything was done through email like he suggested. My husband tried calling him at the store and we were informed ** had left for the day but would be in at 10 am the next day. We left our information for him to call us back. He never returned our call. They wanted our credit card number to charge us $25.00 for an inspector to inspect our box frames. Nobody contacted us regarding an inspector after we reluctantly gave our credit card number.

We go to the store again and ** happened to be working. My husband told him "You might not want to tell people it takes 24 hrs. 2 weeks later. No contact from Customer Service other than this letter and here we are." ** sets us up with new box springs and wants $60.00 for delivery. My husband said "I thought the warranty would cover that." ** responds "It says right on this receipt that it doesn't cover delivery fees." Thanks for lying to us **. We will never purchase another mattress from Mattress Firm AGAIN. Unfortunately we spent way too much money on this crappy icomfort bed and feel married to it for a while.

He informed me that they had ordered new legs they would arrive about 7/7/2015 and when they came to put the legs on they would fix the frame at that time. CLICK. What were we supposed to sleep on for the next two weeks? So he called back wanted to know if we lost our connection?! Real thoughtful customer service. I told them I would just cancel the deal if they did not take them. I had to yell and scream so to speak to get them to take it. I did speak to the manager and district manager about my experience, but I think you have to go out of your way to rectify the situation. Just getting them to take it was not enough. Buyers beware, the delivery folks can refuse to take the mattress depending on its condition. I would think most mattresses are in poor condition if a new one is purchased. Went to the store in The Avenue in Viera, FL. Told them my price range and was shown two options. Laid down on one for a couple of minutes and found what I thought was the one I wanted. First, it was delivered at a time I wasn't available. Second, this is the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on. After a week, I called the store and talked to the salesperson who sold it to me and was told "Give a few more days and see if that helps." It hasn't. Went back to the store today and was told that I could exchange it but it would cost $149 to transfer. I said, "What if it's defective?" I was asked what made it defective. I said "I'm in pain from sleeping on it." Evidently, that was sufficient.

So I'm stuck with a mattress I have a hard time sleeping on and my only recourse is to pay them $149 to get something else. They're "completely satisfied" or your money back is full of it. I was willing to even pay to upgrade but was told that the extra $200 would be swallowed up in the fee. Would never buy from there again. As we are expecting guests and needed this set, we cancelled plans to be available for delivery. Needless to say, no delivery happened, no calls were received. Called me back, said set was not delivered on 6/10 as they forgot to put it on the truck! She said they could deliver today between 5-10pm. Told her I was not going to have someone making a delivery at that time of night. She then said it would probably be more like 5pm. We were told, "Of course if you want to, but you probably won't need to". Then also purchased 2 100.00 dollar pillows to go with it. The mattress they delivered was a used mattress that was more sloped in than our old 12 yr old mattress. When called them about it they pretty much said that they had told us it could be a returned mattress (they did not ever say anything about it being a used returned product). Also no way the mattress can ever be turned over because there is only one side. And they were very flippant and rude about it.

Yes we financed it, and yes we are current and have already paid two thirds of it. At this point very seriously considering legal action for fraud, and would never buy another product from this place. We moved into our new place together right after and were sleeping on a full mattress for about two and a half weeks. We decided that we needed an upgrade to a queen mattress and that is when we decided to buy from Mattress Firm because they gave us a special discount.

We bought the mattress and a box spring. The box spring was described to us as an outlet discounted box spring. We had them delivered to our apartment and less than a week later, I woke up with bites all over my arms and legs. We had the landlord come in and look at our room/bed and that is when he found a red tag that stated that our box spring had been sanitized because it was second hand?!?! During our whole experience with Mattress Firm, they never once informed us that we would be buying a used box spring. If I would have known this, I would not have bought this from them (which is probably why they never mentioned this in the first place).

This is so illegal and be sure that we will be escalating this to the higher authorities. My father is a lawyer and we will be consulting him along every step of the way. Please, if you are reading this and contemplating buying a mattress from this place, spare yourselves!!!

My wife and I purchased a mattress for 1999.99 from Mattress Firm. We had some coupons and got it down to 1699.99. I am a cancer survivor and as such cannot lift anything so we chose to have it delivered with the exchange of our old mattress (the so-called "Red Carpet Treatment"). The morning of delivery, by the ill advised kindness of my heart, I dismantled the old bed and lugged it outside so as to help out the delivery guys... big mistake. When they showed up, I talked to the young man about bringing it inside and my thoughts - from experience - on how to get it in there. (My bedroom is on the second floor and the hallway is extremely narrow). He was immediately rude telling me what he can't do and when he observed the hallway was taken aback and told me it would be a real challenge.

He was abrupt and discourteous and asked me how long the mattress was outside. I told him a half hour or so and he said his partner was going to "inspect" the mattress. 5 minutes later, he knocks on the door and demands to see a receipt from an exterminator as his partner has decided there are bugs on my old mattress. When I questioned as to why, he said he cannot take the old mattress until I had Orkin inspect my house. I told him to leave the old mattress - I will get rid of it and he went back outside. He came back and informed me that he was not going to deliver my mattress, period. I asked him to leave it on the driveway and he said no. I told him I would get rid of my old mattress by myself and lug the new one upstairs...he refused and insisted that until Orkin came and removed the bugs from my house, he was not going to give me my mattress.

I tried to reason with him but he was disrespectful, treated me with disdain and malice. I asked if he had my money for the mattress and he laughed. I demanded my money back and he snidely told me I would have to talk to the salesman. I threw off my property at that point. I called the salesman and was told there was nothing he could do...that once a "delivery" guy marks a mattress with bugs it was out of his hands. I told him I wanted my money back and he told me this would take two to six weeks AND I would only get a portion of my money back. I must admit that at this point I went ballistic... I asked him if I went in there and told him I would pay only a portion of what they were asking and pay it at some arbitrary date between two and six weeks would he have sold the mattress? He was dumbfounded...stuttered and said he had to call his district manager and would get back to me in 30 to 60 minutes.

60 minutes went by and no call, so I called him back... Same BS...trying to tell me the manager was very busy and to give him 15 more minutes. District manager calls me 10 minutes later - tells me she is working on getting drivers to drop off mattress at my house and to give her half hour. Half hour later, district manager calls and informs me that they are not going to give me my mattress and that she is going to fast track my refund... 2 to 4 working days. Today is 3rd working day and still no refund. I apologize for the lengthy diatribe but this company really sucks when it comes to customer service...allowing delivery people to make decisions as to whether they feel like moving a mattress or not and then using the bug excuse. BS in my book. As a side note, I bought the same freaking mattress from Big Lots for 800.00. Mattress Firm Is a ripoff in more ways than one!

Apparently, Mattress Firm has amateurs responding to customer complaints! I do not want an amateur responding. I want a District Manager or someone higher up! My first bad experience/email. My husband and I just visited your location on Blanding blvd. We spoke with a representative name **. We were not asked if we could be helped, instead we were told that he was getting ready to close in 5 minutes and that his internet was down. This is the worst service to receive after being referred by a relative. Then, I informed him that I had spoken with a gentleman at your Roosevelt location. ** then said that they are paid off of commission and that we need to go and speak with the gentleman at that location, even after explaining that this location was closer to where we lived.

I then asked about the 90 days same as cash, he told us we can go online and complete the application. After the service I received at this location, I would rather go somewhere else and purchase my mattress, I felt like my business was not appreciated and that his concern was more towards him going home and throwing us off on someone else. So in closing, I will be making a post online about Mattress Firm online about the service we received and I would not recommend them to no one. Customer Service is a key aspect, especially if you're paid based on commission).

If I am stating that I am married, it’s not Ms. **, not only that but I explained the location in the email! But again it was **. But this is not the only location with incompetent employees let alone "Area Supervisor". Today, I contacted Mattress Firm to give them another try but this time it was the location at 88 Blanding Blvd Ste 106. I contacted the store before going this time to make sure I was speaking with someone competent, which I thought I was at first. I spoke with ** at 1:27pm and on the call with her for 5mins and 31seconds. She informed me that today's special was if we're to come in today, and doing financing that delivery would be free and would be delivered by 3pm.

So my husband and I go in, pick out the mattress, box spring, headboard, pillows, protector and frame we wanted costing us $1540.00. At that point ** told us this would be delivered between 6pm and 9pm which was odd to me because of what she told me on the phone and also we left the store by 2:15pm. So I asked her and she said it was because the warehouse had to place the order together. My husband and I get home and remove the old bedding furniture outside to make it easier for the delivery guys. At 8:30pm me nor my husband had received a call about our delivery yet, so I contacted the Mattress Firm Delivery number at 866-312-7169 and speak with ** at first who hung up on me after providing my name.

I called back and spoke with someone by the name of ** which I think was a phony name, he informed me that he located our order by our order number **, but because it was a large order it never left the warehouse for delivery. I asked him, "how is that when it was scheduled to be delivered today between 6pm to 9pm?" He then told me that he seen deliveries but not our delivery, that it was still at the warehouse, and told me that I needed to contact the store which was the first thing I did before contacting him at 8:24pm. The ending of the call was "ma'am I don't know what to tell you."

So I contacted ** on her cell number at **, at 8:43pm, since she is supposed to be "Area Supervisor". She informed me she was out to dinner and will call me when she gets to the store. ** contacted me back at 9:01pm and stated that everything looked fine in her system for delivery and that she sent a letter to her District Manager ** and Warehouse Manager regarding this, and in a worst case scenario that it would be delivered first thing in the morning. At this point I am extremely upset because our furniture has been sitting outside since 6pm with all kinds of bugs crawling on it. I asked ** what are me and my husband suppose to sleep on now. She then stated that sometimes the delivery can be late (which we were never told at all in any part on any conversation).

** then said that she is going to check into it and to give her a call back if they have not made the delivery by 9:30pm (this is unacceptable). No one showed nor called all day about our delivery by 9:30pm, so I called ** back at the store and her cell. She did not answer either of my calls to try to reschedule a delivery. Mattress Firm is very unprofessional the way customers are treated. I guess it doesn't bother your company that your reputation is poor and have over 238 complaints against your company. This will make 239, but I plan on taking this a step further than just another complaint! I will never refer anyone to you, and this email is being forwarded to the BBB.

What a joke, I am going to attempt to get my $500 back. Will not do business with this company ever again.

Rockford IL store on State st. Before purchasing a Mattress and Box we asked many questions because the district manager was talking about their return and exchange policy if we were not happy with the mattress we choose. When he said that if we were not 100% satisfied with our mattress we could exchange or return it for a complete refund. We were surprised by this guarantee policy and he said again about a refund. We purchased the mattress. After a problem with getting it delivered, which is another story in itself, We attempted to sleep on the bed. Neither myself nor my wife could sleep on it. Asthma problems, because of the strong chemical odor. We called to return it for a refund and was then told there was a $149.00 return fee. Yes it was noted on the sales papers we signed, (In the small print) but we expected the DISTRICT MANAGER to be honest.

Another LIE is that we asked if the mattress had some memory foam as part of the filling and was told YES. After not being able to sleep on the mattress I looked on line for the mattress and discovered there was NO memory foam at all. BUYER BEWARE!!! I talked to the store manager and she said we would need to speak with the district manager about the $149.00 return fee since we were told there would be a total refund if not happy. The district manager did not have enough courage to call, because he knew he lied to us and made the sale associate call about the fee. At least this store is close to perpetrating FRAUD. I just wonder if this is company policy since we dealt with the district manager.

Went to purchase new mattress and bought one on sale from the Mattress Firm showroom floor. I was told it had been returned by another consumer only AFTER it was paid and loaded on my truck. I told them I did not want a used mattress, I did not want bed bugs. The salesman assured me this would not be an issue, it was returned because they did not like that model and it was sanitized and sprayed to ensure there would be no bedbugs, it was still like new. (I was unaware that used mattress could be sold in new stores, BED BUGS can jump from old mattresses to new mattresses.) Also my mattress was not labeled that it was used. It was during the holidays, a friend was using their truck, we were in a hurry, so I kept the mattress against my better judgement.

I bought the end of Dec. After a few months I found what I thought was a beetle bug in the bed and thought nothing of it. I called Terminix, they confirmed bed bugs and said that the inside of the mattress showed the bugs had been there longer than I had owned the bed. The bottom of the foam was black. I am a freak about a clean home a no bugs. The actual $700 "pillow top" is separating from the bed at the seams. The bed is sagging. Mattress Firm dragged this out for a month and a half then said they would not refund my money. This experience cost me $1500 to remove the bugs plus cleaning and laundering. SEALY has NEVER let me down… Go to Sealy to buy a bed.

I am legally blind. So, when I decided to get a new bed, I went to MATTRESS FIRM. After deciding on a mattress, I began the purchase process. The sales rep offered me a credit option, so that I did not have to lay out the $800+. Now, not wanting to sign a contract that I could not read, I accepted the sales persons offer to read it to me. THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE. He told me that my payment would be $155 for 6 months. However, I just found out, after calling to update my payment information, that I was charged nearly TRIPLE the amount that the sales rep quoted me. The bottom line is avoid purchasing your bedding needs at Mattress firm. If they are low enough to rob from the blind, they will have no problem ripping you off, as well!!

After six (6) weeks of trying a bed, I tried to return it to the store but no they couldn't take the bed back in their store because, in their first defense, they didn't have the room for it which was a lie and then in their second defense, that it could be "contaminated", they said. Never in my adult life have I ever been so mistreated for returning merchandise. First of all, what store does that? When you purchase a product from a store and pick up the product from the store, you should be able to return it to the store with a refund from the store.

Instead, they said I had to take it to their "warehouse" eleven miles away and that their corporate headquarters will have to refund the money. Three (3) weeks later, I get a refund check for $160.18 less than the refund amount that the recipient said would be refunded. . . and he signed it. Proof of documents are attached. I picked up the bed and I returned the bed. There was no help on their part. Thus, bad delivery; bad acceptance of return; and bad refund.

When we called them twice delivery day, one said the delivery was never routed and the second one said they couldn't access the computer. They said to call Monday. When I called today they said they could see the order but I needed to speak to a district manager. We paid for something they did not deliver and we are still waiting. When I said we just want to cancel and want our money back, they said I have to talk to a Mr. ** whom is the district manager.

I bought a new bed both mattresses and frame. I have had 3 different mattresses delivered, and I have had problems with all of them and I've had all of them within a 4 month period. It is a foam mattress. I'm lying in the bed right now and my back is killing me. I've just contacted our salesman ** for the 4th time and all I get is (I'll get back to you with some mattress types and prices because he's with a customer) like I'm not a customer and like I am going to have to pay for a new mattress when all I want is a spring type mattress in the same type of bed set since they are the same price and they have a money back guarantee not counting that my bed is still under warranty. Can I finally sleep comfortable after 4 months?

Shortly after they squeaked again, they made me pay another $25.00 to get warranty info. They then gave me a $50.00 credit towards something better absorbed by my two $25.00 claims. I get nothing. Stopped into Mattress Firm in 141 N Mall, Dr. Appleton, WI. First mattress sagged so much after two years that it caused severe back pain. With extreme reluctance they let us purchase a more expensive mattress (this is their warranty, in hindsight, pretty weak) and this new mattress is sagging after two weeks. They don't stand behind their products -- it took many letters and phone calls and pictures before they took any action at all -- and their products stink. I think they get lower-end products from the manufacturers and peddle them as name-brand.

They lie and purposely mistreat the customers! I got a bed in May 2014. Was in so much pain from the 1st night of sleeping on it, I went to the store, told them how I feel, and they said I have to wait to give it a chance. I did and it still hurt me. We upgraded and it still didn't help. We gave both beds back and they are still trying to make us pay for the 1st bed. How about I go to the doctor and get my back fixed from the damage the bed did to my back and give Mattress Firm my medical bills? Is there anyone out there that thinks that is fair?

I was a consumer of Mattress Firm who has purchased many beds from them. The original bed could not returned that was already sagging after 1 year and hurting my wife back. So I went and purchased another bed and figured I purchased a cheap bed and you get what you pay for. So the next bed was a $2500 bed on sale for $1800 that I purchased. This bed was still not good after 2 months. Still being within the opportunity to return I did and was informed that I would get the total amount back minus the $150 for the 3rd party pick-up.

At this point I informed them that they would not be able to refund the money to the same debit card as the card had been canceled, and so had the bank account, due to identity theft. Spoke with district manager and was informed that would have to send it to the card 1st then it would have to be sent back to them and then they would send a check. I thought this reasonable and agreed to that. I was suppose to have a check by 2/22/2015. It is now 4/2/2015.

I scheduled the pick-up and no show. The next day I was leaving and the company that picks up the beds for Mattress Firm. I informed them that it was not a good moment to pick up the bed and they would have to come back. They then informed me that I was the 4th or 5th person that said that.

Spoke with district manger and got everything worked out. As of today I still do not have my money or a bed. I have talked with Mattress Firm a couple of times. Everyone has a different answer. The last time I spoke with them last month they said a check would be on the way. As of today a check was never sent and they sent me a statement stating how money had been sent to bank on 2/2/2014. I stood outside with a poster explain my situation as customers came to store. I just want my money that I am owed.

We have not gotten a call from them. I even contacted the store again and still no call. My daughter is sleepy on the mattress on the floor. She has had back surgery and has scoliosis. This is the second bed I have purchased and I will not buy from them again.

Five months ago I chose a mattress and box spring set from Mattress Firm in Spokane, Wa. Because I had to get back to work the financing and finalization of the sale took place over the phone. The set I chose came with warranty. Unknown to me my boyfriend who was there to pick up the mattress was talked into changing the order by the "helpful" salesman who told him that the mattress was usually more expensive and a better choice (it was the mattress that he would have chose for himself) but he was going to match the price of the one I had chose. Needless to say without my consent the order was changed. Within a week I noticed the mattress dipped and after a month in sunk all the way to the box spring.

I am extremely busy workaholic and I figure I've got 6 mo, so I waited it out longer than I should have. Finally I contacted Mattress Firm, I needed relief from the back pain headaches and sleepless nights. The salesman told me he would check into it and call me back.. He never did. I finally did and got ** (did not give me his last name) who was extremely rude and arrogant told me as is nothing he can do for me. "Wait as is no I chose a mattress with a warranty." He tells me, "Too bad." Two weeks later I decide I can't take anymore sleepless nights so we go down and try to reason with them. To no avail ** who turned out to be the Area Division manager will not help us or even listen to our complaint. We ask for his supervisor's name and number. He tells us he will not give it to us and if we don't leave he is calling the police... Shoddy business practices... Very disappointed.

At about the 6 month point the mattress was too bad to sleep in any more - sagging bad on both sides kinda like being in a hammock. We contacted the store and they sent out a guy with a string and a small plastic measuring device. The company charged US 25 dollars for this. His report was that the mattress sag was only 1 1/2 inches and the warranty states it has to be 2 inches. The device he used to measure the sag weighed about 2 ounces. What does a person weigh? Well I weigh 200 lbs. and when I'm in that bed it’s like being in a ditch. I paid 1000 dollars for this thing and can't sleep in it, a bed with 10-year warranty that only last a few months- that's like stealing to me.

After nearly a year, my Plush Pillow Top mattress was sagging to the point where I could no longer sleep on it comfortably. I called Mattress Firm’s warranty department and was informed that I would have to pay $25 to file a claim, and that an inspector would come out to my home to inspect my mattress. Upon arrival he immediately noticed the sagging in the mattress and began taking measurements. When he was finished he told me that I would be contacted by their warranty department with 7 to 15 days. In no time at all I received an email stating that I had been given a full refund credit and that I should return to my nearest Mattress Firm showroom in order to pick out a new mattress. The next day I stopped in to a local showroom and chose my new mattress, which was delivered the next day. I am very impressed with their customer service and would definitely buy from them again. I will also refer my family and friends to Mattress Firm.

I bought two high-end mattresses from Mattress Firm. Within the first year, a problem developed on the fabric. It was unraveling where it was tufted with a rose design made from threads. There are holes forming where the threads were sewn onto the mattress. I sent pictures to Mattress Firm and they hid behind the manufacturer's warranty which does not cover the fabric on the mattress as well as some other things. I thought that they would at least fix it since I spent so much there, like other local stores do but nope. Despite their very high prices, they offer no value added services. All you get is the manufacturer's warranty so might as well buy on Price or from someone else who stands behind what they sell.

I also found out that they get the manufacturers to give their mattresses specific names so that the same mattress in another store will have a different name or model number. This allows them to say that they have the lowest prices on their mattresses and will match any price found elsewhere. Other mattress stores do this too and I think it is an unfair business practice designed to fool the public and fix prices. In any event, the mattresses were overpriced and Mattress Firm will not do anything for you. If the manufacturer will not cover defective items, you are flat out of luck. The quality is not very good for a very expensive mattress. I have been buying mattresses for over 40 years and this is the first time I came across any problem with a mattress or store. My suggestion is to buy elsewhere because once they have your money, adios amigo.
