I purchased a Catnapper reclining sofa and loveseat on September 9th, 2017 from Conn's Furniture. My delivery was scheduled for Sept 10. They called Sept 10 and stated that the sofa was damaged and they would have to reschedule delivery. I rescheduled for Saturday, Sept 16th. They arrived and sofa had 2 small holes in it and thread was pulling away from the armrest. The delivery guys stated that they saw the damage at the warehouse but the manager told them to go ahead a take... stating that the customer probably would not see it.
The delivery guy called the manager and had him on speakerphone. He told the manager that the sofa was damaged and he said, "Well did she see it". Wow, he let me speak with the manager who offered me a 20% discount to keep the damaged furniture. I told him that was not good enough and delivery guys took the sofa out of my house. They rescheduled delivery for the next day Sunday, Sept 17. I received a call from them stating that once again the sofa had been damaged in transport and they would once again have to reschedule delivery. I cannot believe this experience. They have waived my delivery fee but I am still extremely disappointed in this purchasing experience.
You will have to deal with Conns Furniture on this issue. This is a dealer consumer issue. Please note Conn's stores their furniture in their warehouse. Jackson Furniture doesn't inventory for any dealer. Please contact Conn's for further resolution as it would be up to them and their store policy as to how this is handled.

In February 2015 I purchased a couch made by Jackson Furniture from Fecera's Furniture Store. About a 6 months after the purchase the arm collapsed. The store sent out a furniture technician that tried to tell me that someone leaned on it and it collapsed. When I told him it was just my husband and I at home and no one leaned on the arm or sat on it, the store sent someone to fix it. When they fixed it they noticed that the whole back of the couch was coming apart and at this point the store agreed to order a replacement couch. The new couch came and all seemed OK until the one cushion started to look like it did not have enough fluff. They sent someone out who put more poly filling in it and it was OK for a few months. Yesterday, I sat in the middle of the couch and noticed that I was sinking in very deep.
I picked up the cushion to move it and noticed that the all the springs in the middle of the couch were broken and a piece of plywood was broken off. When I called the store they said that the one year warranty is up and there is nothing they can do for me except give me the name of a repair company. I am totally disgusted. We bought this couch because of Jackson Furniture's comfort coil seating that never flattens out. This is far from the case. One seat cushion is flat, one back pillow is flat and the middle of the couch has collapsed. This is a disgrace and I have not been able to contact anyone at Jackson Furniture. They have terrible customer service and terrible product manufacturing. The technician told me it was hit or miss how well the cushions are filled and the couch is assembled!

I purchased a Catnapper lay flat recliner from Big Sandy Superstore in Charleston WV and it was delivered today and within an hour I'm having issues with it. The footrest is difficult at best and the back won't stay up when the footrest is out of like to have a choice of sitting up or laying down but unfortunately it only wants to lay flat!! I will not recommend this chair to anyone!!!
Your furniture has a 1 year service warranty. Please contact the dealer you purchased through as they carry the warranty the 1st year and should be able to offer you resolution.

My wife and I love Catnapper brand. Well we used to. We was so pleased with the 1st set so when it came time we purchased another set but in leather this time. Purchased the set in December of 2014. About 8 months after we purchased the tobacco leather furniture we noticed the headrest started to discolor on the love seat. We had a tech come out when we 1st purchased it because the store we bought it from ripped a hole in the back of 1 of the panels. Actually 2 panels. 4 months after the tech came to look at it he returned to replace the panel and forgot to order the other damaged panel. So he said he would return with a new panel for the other side. 2 and a half years later nothing. Now I'm stuck with a love seat with a ripped panel and has now faded. I will never purchase Catnapper brand again. It's sad because the 1st set we bought was wonderful. It raised 3 kids and a dog with no problems. Please fix this issue.

Bought sofa and recliner, was told that it was sturdy and wouldn't peel or wear. Months after buying it the arm started peeling. Motor is loud. Emailed company twice with no response. Worst experience! I sent pictures of all of the peeling, pictures where the leather is coming apart at the corners. I have yet to receive any sort of response. No "Sorry you wasted a bunch butt of money on crap furniture" or anything?? Do not buy their bonded leather! It's a joke. Spend the extra money and buy leather, I'd suggest from a different company as well since they don't seem to want to acknowledge that they have seen how horrible their products are. The peeling is much worse now. This was not long after we purchased it, it's been lightly used and I usually have blankets covering it to protect it. Now the blankets are on it to hide how ugly and cheap it looks.
Updated on 09/27/2017: Second time to review this company. My first review was about the pathetic quality of their bonded leather. Peeling, loud clanking motor, corners coming apart. The company said they would email me, which they did. They asked for pictures which I sent. I waited, and waited. Decided to resend. Still no response. This company has the worst customer service. I actually want a real response from them. It would be nice if you actually respond to consumer issues.

I loved this Brantley set (sofa, love seat & chair) when I first got it. But within the first year, the frame broke and then the peeling start. The wire inside started poking through the material. This is the worst furniture ever. I paid over $2000 for this crap. It even peels in places where no one sits. It's embarrassing to invite people over because of this terrible product.

We bought this power sofa -- it is just my wife and I, near retirement. We sit on it in the evening while watching TV. Within the first few months, we noticed a sagging on one end of the couch. The furniture store sent a repairman who said the springs had become unattached. Then recently we noticed the seat back on the same side has seemed loose. On further inspection, there is a broken wood section of the frame in the seat back -- it appears to be pine. We love the appearance and comfort of the catnapper, but with little use it has not held up. We purchased it April of 2014. We purchased the piece from Bob Mills Furniture, a reputable store we've had good experience with in the past.

I received my Catnapper Power Recliner Model#647494-1903-09 on July 7th 2017. I enjoyed the first week, but I could not get comfortable after that. The chair delivered to me seems quite hard. I have had past back surgery, & I cannot sit in it for long periods of time, meaning 20 mins max! I wanted a firm chair, but this is just uncomfortable. I now have a Memory Foam pillow on it just so that my butt does not hurt me. There seems to be a hump where my legs split. It's just strange... Anyway, was so excited to finally receive this chair, and now just disappointed.
I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your Recliner. The dealer you purchased the chair through carries your warranty for 12 months from date of purchase. Please contact them with your concerns they should be able to set a service up to have a technician come and assess your chair for any issues there may be. I hope this information is helpful

We bought this recliner about 3 years ago and about a year ago we started to feel the coils when we sat on it and it's just all around "shaky" when you recline it. In April, the handle broke and while I was looking for a replacement I found that there was actually a 5 year manufacturer warranty on the coils and reclining mechanism. I went through where I purchased the chair, Becker Furniture, and have been unable to get the recliner fixed. They keep telling me they've contacted Jackson Furniture and then people quit and they have to start all over. I'm so tired of going through the middle man and really want my recliner fixed!

Catnapper sofa and loveseat - I am very unhappy with the quality of the bonded leather on this furniture. We've had the furniture for approximately 2 years and the bonded leather is peeling. We purchased insurance when we bought the furniture, but when we filed a claim for repair, the insurance company refused to repair it. We also had a release lever break on one of the recliners, but insurance replaced it.

I am so disappointed in Catnapper Furniture and Schewel's Furniture. We bought a three-piece set. First the handle broke off the chair, and I found that Catnapper cannot be contacted directly - you MUST go through the store where you bought it (Schewel's Furniture on Timberlake in Lynchburg, VA). I did so and after much discussion, they agreed to send a new handle. Soon after that the handle on the second chair broke. Now we get nothing. I have called several times, emailed several more, had my husband call to speak to the manager and was told by the woman who answered that "she would handle it herself". Nothing from them, and I can't contact Catnapper directly. The cushions on both chairs have broken down on one side. This set is about four years old and it's junk already. Our last set, purchased in New Zealand and shipped back with our furniture, held up well for ten years and went on for another family to use.
Updated on 10/06/2017: The broken handle on my Catnapper chair was finally resolved, but not thanks to Jackson Furniture. We had a conversation in which the representative said he "would do what it took to resolve the problem." That was followed up, though, by a customer service email that said I hadn't sent all the information (despite my having already sent a photo and the numbers off the chair), and then said they'd let me know how much it would cost me when they had the information. I went back to Schewel's manager, again, and got a much better response. I am sorry I had to go through nearly a year of trying to get this handle, and I certainly wouldn't buy Catnapper or any furniture produced by Jackson Furniture, but I can say that in the end, Schewel's resolved the problem.

Three years ago we bought a reclining sofa and rocker recliner style 517106. The trim wore and peeled but we knew that was not covered. During the first 3 months the handle on recliner broke in two 3 times but a representative came and replaced it. The sofa has motorized recliner. A year ago the stablizer cross bar broke on the rocker recliner. We contacted Conn's where we purchased it and they said to contact Catnapper which we did. It took many calls to get a return call. We were told to send a picture which we did twice with no response.

We purchased a Jackson Furniture sofa less than 5 years ago. Right off we had problems. There were several places on the frame that the fabric was cut too short. The pillows that came with the sofa literally fell apart within days of our purchase. That was only the beginning. The back cushions were not even sewn closed. So over time the stuffing gets pushed out with normal use. We now have a couple on pieces on the frame that have broke. One in the arm of the sofa and another on the back of the sofa. To top that off there's a spring in the sofa that broke and punctured a hole through the material that covers them. The dealer we purchased from is no longer in business and the dealing I've had with Jackson Furniture have been anything but helpful. So much for standing by their product or warranty.

We have had our Jackson comfort gel sectional for about 3 months. The couch end so far is fine, but the cuddler has one big dip in the middle of it. When we first got it it was that way and the store replaced the cushion. Did not solve the problem we still have a big dip. I removed the cushion and looked at the base, the springs only go half way across the seat. I don't know if that is the way it is made or if we got a lemon so the cushion will always sag. Either way it's an expensive piece that brings down the look of our sectional that looks like we have had for 30 years and not 3 months. We were assured at the store that this was top quality furniture.

I purchased a complete Jackson Furniture Anniston living room set in February 2017 and it began falling apart about only 4 months later. It started out with the arms of the sofa, loveseat and chair and a half making loud cracking/popping noises. The cushions look absolutely horrible (smashed down) and there are small rips starting along all the piping of the cushions. This furniture is minimally used by my wife and I and basically only sat on in the evening due to being at work all day. I am very disappointed in the quality of this furniture and thought by spending over $2000 on it, it would last more than 4 months!

They strive on made with American hands in American... but most if not all materials are more than likely made in China. Bought 2 Rocker/Recliners/catnapper and all materials are junk. Both side handle used to recliner broke, snapped right in half... made with plastic and saw dust. Where is the metal? Speaking of metal the springs are about ready to pop through the seats and my wife and I aren't 350 lb people, we are average sized. The material or chair covering definitely isn't stain or soil resident. These recliners are 2 years old and are pretty much shot. What a waste of money. Guess I need to buy a La-Z-boy... a little costly but worth the extra dollars.

My husband purchased this couch (Catnapper Mercury Lay Flat Reclining Sofa) new from our local Boscov's store in December 2016 as a Christmas present for me. I unwrapped a gift with the receipt attached on Christmas morning & was thrilled to be updating our furniture! The couch was delivered a few days after Christmas. The men carried it in and attached the backs to the bottom of the sofa & I reviewed it for tears & such then they left. I then noticed it didn't come with any informational packaging or pamphlets. The couch had an awful odor (not just the usual "new" furniture odor). I cleaned it and went to bed.
The next morning I could barely move from joint pains and my nose and throat began to burn. Over the next few months, every day I would wake up & come down stairs (I am a stay-at-home mom, so we are at home a lot) and as soon as I would be in the vicinity of this couch, my eyes, nose, & throat would begin to burn. It became so bad that I ended up in the emergency room one night because of the intense burning and throat irritation in which my throat felt as though it would close up. My mouth would also burn as though I ate a gallon of fireball candies but had no spicy or hot foods taken in my body. My throat felt like it was burned & raw! I had to see an ENT doctor & have a throat scope done in which it showed the irritation in my throat!
These symptoms continued to get worse until in April 2017, my doctor suggested that I remove the couch from home. We had to have it taken to my dad's unfinished part of his basement that no one goes in. My dad tipped the entire couch over because he smelled the strong odor & the underneath was sprayed with a white chalky substance.
I tried to call the Jackson Catnapper company in Tennessee & the Boscov's store in Ohio to find out what chemicals were sprayed or what exactly was in or on this couch, but neither company wanted to help find answers. Catnapper blamed Boscov's & Boscov's told me to take it up with Catnapper since they sell the furniture how they received it. Jackson Catnapper representative on the phone was rude and would not answer any of my questions. Now months later, I am feeling better with the couch being gone, but we are still without a couch & the $1,152.93 spent on that couch. We have had to pay for multiple doctor visits & testing done. If you value your health & lifestyle, I would steer clear from this couch & company!

I purchased a set of "leather sofas" in October of 2012. Well, they started peeling September of 2016. The sales guy lied to us and told us they were leather when they are bonded leather. I paid close to $4,000 for this set. They look nice when they are new, but buyer beware these will not last. I have a couch I bought in 2008 that still looks new from a different manufacturer. Please do not spend your money on this brand as you can see I'm not the only one with this issue. I wish I had money to replace these sofas, but until then I have to cover them up because they are embarrassing to have. I expected for them to last more than 4 years. Also, when I purchased the set the loveseat was broken. It got fixed, but it broke again. They are suppose to recline not sure why it broke.

It was out of warranty. We are still paying on it and the furniture is junk and homemakers will not stand behind it! When I explained the situation where the chair completely flips over, they stood pat on the 1 year warranty. They also told me to find a furniture repair person and that I would have to pay out of pocket. We are literally talking about less than a month outside of the factory warranty. I offered to even provide a receipt. The customer service rep was unyielding and not even compassionate. A piece of furniture should last a lot longer than a year. Moreover the manufacturer and seller should stand behind the product. Unbelievable customer service especially in today's time.

Yesterday I wrote a review regarding the Jackson Furniture Everest Sectional that I purchased from Nebraska Furniture Mart. After leaving two messages with Jackson Furniture, I received a call from a Jackson representative this morning who was anything but professional. From the moment she identified that she was calling me from Jackson Catnapper, she was rude and defensive. I was very surprised and frustrated by her overall unprofessional attitude at the onset of the conversation. I have never before experienced a customer service representative with this tone before, and it caught me very off guard. When attempting to ascertain what my grievance was, she asked with great disgust, "What is your issue?" I began to try to explain to her that the cocktail ottoman we purchased with the sectional was incredibly understuffed and sagged like it was 20 years old.
I also told her that a repair specialist from Nebraska Furniture Mart had been to our home and documented this with photos. I told her that when we sit on it, we sink so low that we can feel the cross frame at the bottom, and there is not sufficient support. I also explained to her that we are a very thin family. She cut me off and asked me quite rudely, "Why are you SITTING on an ottoman?" I paused and asked her to repeat what I believe may be the most unintelligent question I have ever heard. She repeated the question and then informed me that an ottoman is not meant to be sat on because "that's not what it's made for..." Stunned by the fact that she was dead serious, I asked her if we could agree that when you put your feet up on an ottoman, they should not sink down causing you to slide off the sofa. She then told me that, "... an ottoman is not for putting your feet on either." I seriously have now heard it all.
When I told her that I missed her name and asked her for it again she replied, "... you're not gonna get it because you just want to use it against me." There are many more amazing comments that were made during this conversation and ultimately she hung up on me. I think it may have been because I started to quietly laugh in utter disbelief. I hope the conversation was recorded. In the end, she did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me and told me to take the issue up with NFM because they are "one of their biggest" retailers.
I have spoken to NFM many times including detailing this conversation to their management. They were stunned and apologetic, and will be taking this sectional back for a full refund. They are also going to be contacting Jackson Furniture to try to find out who this unprofessional representative was. Bottom line: I will NEVER buy from "Jackson Catnapper" again because of their shoddy workmanship, lack of concern about it, and their unprofessional representation.

I, like others who posted on reviews about Jackson Catnapper Furniture, paid good money at a furniture store for what was sold as high quality furniture at high quality price and after 2 years looked worn and after 3 years needs to be replaced. The customer service is a joke and the email recorded on phone is not an accurate address. I purchased numerous pieces including Brantley sofa, chair, ottoman; Maverick recliner; and 2 Lawson chaise and armless sofa. All have holes, peeling material and are the most uncomfortable furniture I've ever owned with cushions that don't stay in place. The sofa frame--cheap wood comes apart and is broken.
I always try to buy American made and support local owned businesses. Shame on me for not checking reviews prior to purchase. I'm going back to my Broyhill, Lane and Tennessee Table Co... those pieces have lasted me 20 years plus. I hope this helps just one person save money and not purchase this product. I realize furniture wears over time, but we lightly use our furniture and don't abuse it. It has always been in controlled temperature setting and has never been relocated from my home. I have never posted on ConsumerAffairs before, but as the one person "customer service said" the ones who wrote reviews were just mad that their material on furniture wasn't covered under warranty. Well duh!! We paid thousands of dollars for furniture we expected to last.

Recently purchased a Catnapper Power Lift chair at American Furniture Warehouse in Pueblo, CO. I just had back surgery and required this for getting myself out of chair and also to sleep in as I cannot rest in my bed. The chair on the floor room was very comfortable and the recliner lay back flat. However the chair delivered to me was quite the opposite. The seat and back of chair are so hard they cause me to hurt if I sit in it too long (15 min.) and resting in it is out of the question. It also will not lay back very far like the display did. AFW sent a rep. to check out the chair stating there was nothing he could do. My only option is to return the chair with a 15% restock fee of 98.00. I purchased this chair based solely on its comfort however am disappointed in the one I received.

Purchased 2 Catnapper bonded leather reclining sofas and 1 recliner on January 19, 2013. Out the door price was $2,217.81. Absolutely loved these sofas. They are soft, easy to sleep on, and easy to clean. My favorite furniture until recently The back of the chair has started peeling off and sticking to anything that touches it. Same is happening to one of the sofas. It's just a matter of time until the 3rd one goes. I thought I'd go online to see if it's a defect or something and found this thread. I'm so disappointed in this furniture that I could cry. It's a lot of money to pay for furniture and there's NO warranty on the fabric. Seems to me that if a company stood by the fabric it puts on its furniture, there should be at least a 10 year warranty. I would love to be able to say I got good use out of this purchase, but as I am about to have to replace it, I cannot say that. If you want good quality furniture, do your research. I know I will from now on.

We purchased a Brantley 4430 sofa and love seat and within a few years, the leather started peeling horribly on the love seat. We have this set down in the basement area and rarely sit down there except for a game or entertaining. The areas are peeling up by where a person may rest their head. Very disappointed in this set as it looks like junk after rarely sitting in it.

I purchased a brand new catnapper recliner on June 16, 2017 for my husband's birthday and Father's Day gift. Today July 6, 2017 the whole left arm broke away from it. We have not even had it for 3 weeks and has barely been used and is already broken. One of my children reached over the side to pet our small dog and when he did the arm/side just broke away. After further inspection of it, it is made of OSB and had only a small section of wood supporting the arm and attached with thin long staples holding it together. In fact the piece of wood holding it together that broke off is a little bigger than my thumb and there is no way it would or could last very long. I am contacting the store where we purchased it from in the morning since it has a warranty. Needless to say I do not want another piece of furniture made by this company, I just want our money back.
We purchased our La-Z-Boy furniture in 1995 and it is still going strong even with twin boys that are now teenage boys and several small dogs it has held up very well. I am so very disappointed that the new recliner is so poorly and cheaply made. It is disheartening to pay so much for a piece of furniture and it is nothing but junk. It is very comfortable BUT not worth buying since it is very cheaply made and broke so easily. I am in shock and disbelief right now.

We purchased a Jackson bonded leather sofa, chair and ottoman in April 2013. Within 3 months the frame on the back of the chair snapped in two. We called the store and they sent someone out to fix it. A month after that I pulled off one of the couch cushions to discover that the leather around the zipper looked shredded. Again I called the store and they ordered a replacement cushion cover. In June 2015 we noticed a small blemish on one of the head cushions of the couch. Within weeks this blemish began to spread like a virus and turned into a peeling nasty mess. Around the same time we started having the same problem on the edges of the chair.
Now the entire couch is peeling and flaking. The arm cushions on both the couch and the chair have slid off the frame so that the frame is protruding on the inside making it very uncomfortable. We paid $1500 for the furniture and it's been complete and total junk since the very beginning. Now just four years later we're having to spend at least that amount of money again to replace something that we should still be using. Instead I'm embarrassed to have anyone come into my home and see it. I'll never shop in that store where they assured us that bonded leather would wear just as well and I'll never waste my time or money with Jackson Furniture again. Very disappointed!

I am 62 and so excited to be getting my 1st soc sec ck, so I purchased a much needed reclining sofa and reclining loveseat about 2 1/2 wks ago from Badcock in Mocksville, NC. Looks great but not at all comfortable. Due to health problems I am in my recliner quite a bit and sleep a lot. When recliners are laid back there is an open gap of 3-4 in. between bottom of back cushion and seat cushion. All you feel at bottom of your back is a metal bar. Hurts.
My husband won't sit in it because it hurts his back and I got it for him for Father's day. When I lay down in them, if I lay on side, I have to be careful not to get against the inside arm because it's a very sharp edge all the way down and is very uncomfortable. Also, when reclining back, there is an empty space between the arm cushion and the back cushion so there's no place to even put your arm. The design of this outfit is so poor, although does look great. It was just purchased so it can't be worn-out. I am so upset because it will be years, if ever, before I can afford to replace it and can't imagine having to sit on this from now on. Please help.

The worst part is the bad section isn't even the area that gets the most use. Frustrating that a product that has seen little use and such an easy environment would fail to perform. The extra warranty I had purchased, does not cover "peeling". Would be nice to have the company step up and offer a solution. Paid $5,000 for some pieces from Furniture Fair in Jacksonville, NC. Bought every warranty and add on they offered us hoping this Loveseat and Sofa furniture would last longer than 4 years. Bought a 5 year warranty even. Not even after a full year of ownership the leather (Must be fake leather) started to peel off. My 2 year old son tried to eat whatever this stuff is. It's very hard to clean up. I specifically asked the sales person at Furniture Fair for furniture that was American made and not that cheap Chinese Ashley Furniture junk. I specifically said I wanted it to last over 4 years unlike my last set from Ashley's. The sales rep claimed this was some of the best furniture they sold, so we bought it. We have been waiting 6 months to have 1 of 2 pieces repaired. According to Harvey at FF, Jackson's (furniture producer) has been giving him the run around and now Chip has to handle the situation.
At this point, after reading this page, I don't think I'd want a warrantied piece and I prefer they just let me pick out a different piece of furniture from a more reputable company. Either way someone better handle it soon or our attorneys are going to handle this some way somehow. I'll spend $5,000 in attorneys fees just to put this headache on someone else over this mess. I have owned a business for 15 years and I would never let a warranty for an item with one of my clients take 6 months to resolve. It feels like American made must not mean much in the furniture business these days.
PS. Furniture Fair if you want to learn from this, you might want to have a small department of people given special privileges to handle cases that are taking this long to save your reputation. This situation might cost you $5,000 in furniture to make the customer happy but it's better than losing a client willing to spend that and more on future furniture. I always go back to places I think are reliable, and reputable. Make the furniture producer foot the $5,000 bill if you have to but never make the customer suffer.

I specifically bought my Jackson Furniture couch and Catnapper recliner because they were "Made in America". After only 2 months I realized the back cushion on the couch was breaking down and flattening out, causing the material to appear loose. I contacted the store I bought the furniture from after getting on the Jackson Website and seeing the given rating of one and a half stars out of five. A repairman came to look at the couch and said literally, "Yeah, this is the time period where we see them starting to break down."
The couch wasn't quite 3 months old at that point! I was so disappointed. But if I'd first gotten on the Jackson website I would have known that several people have had trouble with the quality of your furniture. I just always expect the best from American Made products. The store sent me a huge box of fluff to stuff the couch myself, which I haven't done because I'm expecting it to end up lumpy and even more "disfigured"! My husband and I are retired, so splurging on furniture isn't something we do... these pieces were bought to last for a long time but I can't see that happening. $1350 and very disappointed.

They have been in business for over 10 years and every so often say going out of business sales. This was not happening when I bought mine but about a month later when the chair broke and the whole side came off they said "sorry we won't warranty anything as we are going out of business." They said they would warranty it for one year from purchase if anything went wrong and then 5 years would be covered by Catnapper Jacksonville. Well I went on Google to find this store pulls this going out of business stuff forever since they opened about 20 years ago and are still in business and don't warranty anything! So I tried to get a hold of Jackson Catnapper (from now on I will just refer to them as "JUNK SHOP").
Well first call to JUNK SHOP they said email picture so I did to the person I talked to. About a month went by no reply. Called the JUNK SHOP again, talked to someone different and they said "oh that person does not work here anymore so email BLAH BLAH BLAH," so I did. Again nothing was heard of from the JUNK SHOP. Called again about 2 weeks later this time they gave me the run around and hung up on and many other calls to the JUNK SHOP with the chair being fixed by me (properly as it was assembled with press board and staples, not barbed staples and glue which would done a lot more. But still shocked they used press board and thin staples on a high pressure point, or the use of press board at all really was a shock, but the chair was failing in other areas now. By this point fill had gone flat, the metal frame was twisted, the seat is flat and nothing but springs).
Anyways after the run around from the JUNK SHOP they told me they don't warranty past a year anyways which it had now become due then and the BS run around and lying to me about saying these people that didn't work there had been gone for longer than I had bought the chair (so I just called the store and people pretended to be ex employees and I have proof of speaking to and emailing back and forth these ex employees that have been gone for years just a few months ago!!!). They are build with crap. The employees are liars and feed you crap and they need to be put out of business ASAP!!!

We are continuing to file complaints with BBB and other offices to see if we can get a resolve with the company however we believe it may be time to file a class action lawsuit against this company. My husband and I bought a Catnapper recliner/rocker approximately 1 and 1/2 years ago. We are the only people that sit in this chair and I was gone on orders for almost a year. Then a couple of months ago we noticed that the material had started to peel and it has only gotten worse. If we had known this would happen, we would not have purchased it. I called the company and they informed me that there is only a 1 year warranty on the fabric and the person I talked to was rude about it. We purchased this because it was made in the US and the salesperson informed us that it was a high-quality piece of furniture. I have purchased cheaper furniture that lasted longer than this has and I will not ever purchase another Catnapper. This company has lost our business forever. We purchased a Lane couch the same time we purchased the Catnapper and it still looks new.

Jackson Furniture went into detail about how well made the cushions were, foam and springs. In my household there are two adults. We do not live on our couches but within 9 months we were sinking. Once on the website we were told this was normal breakdown. I wish I would have read reviews before purchasing from this company, I would have shopped elsewhere. We have had the furniture for one year. I am calling our local Auction to come and take them away. Ahhh... Jackson furniture is in no doubt, the worst furniture made on the planet. I bought a Catnapper recliner and a Belmont style couch, both back in mid 2012 from Butterworth's Furniture Store located in Petersburg, VA. I noticed the day the chair was delivered, it literally looked like it had just been put together by a shop class - material sagging, staples not even firmly seated, strings hanging everywhere off of the chair. The couch wasn't as bad, until a few months later. Staples cutting into your arms, armrest padding failed all the way to the wood, cushion padding failing, and a damn piece of wood that runs along the seat of the couch where the cushions are against. These feels wonderful in your behind and lower back when you Sat in this POS.
But like most people, I should've done some research and shouldn't have expected much for a $600 couch. I sold this damn thing on Craigslist for $25, and the Salvation Army or Goodwill wouldn't even come get it. The same BS with the chair, reclining mechanism loosened and broke after 2.5 years, cushions sagged and material came apart. I called the furniture store and they wanted to send out a repairman for $$ out of my pocket... No thanks. This one went up the road as well.
Finally went back to La-Z-Boy like I had before that lasted 15 years. Should've just recovered it instead of spending money on Jackson junk furniture. I probably could have with what was spent on that Jackson crap. People, wake up and STAY AWAY from ALL of Jackson furniture. Terrible, cheap quality, poorly made & the absolute worst customer service ever!! Get brand name furniture from a reputable dealer, sure it will cost much more $$$, but then you get what you pay for.

I have some knowledge of sewing so this was done very carefully so as not to impair the stitching of the seams. That should have been a clue to return our purchase. The last time they came the cushion had a noticeable hump and when you sat on it it felt like you were sitting on a rod. The dealer said my husband signed the work order as satisfied so "I'm sorry".
Then the arms were slouching. Turns out the cardboard underneath had cracked and the stuffing was falling through. Every place that has "leather" is peeling off. When I asked the dealer to come out they said it appears to be abuse. Apparently our butts rub the seat too much... and our heads... and our hands. We basically just sit on it too much. They do not wrap the wood with the cushion filler, they just plop it on top of the wood, so it moves around. It is the same on the footrests and the armrests. It hasn't fallen apart yet, but I can already tell it is a chintzy product with shoddy workmanship. We bought 4 pieces of your Catnapper furniture from AFD of Covington, LA. We went from leather to a nice plushy cloth for a change & comfort. With all the hype & recommendation by the salesman, we were assured that this furniture was an excellent buy. 1 sofa with recliners, 2 love seats with recliners & a big comfy chair that reclines were purchased. Total was more than $3700.00 for a living room set. In less than 2 months 2 pieces were replaced (chair & sofa) due to defects in workmanship. The furniture is built with nice steel framing but the end caps are supported by particleboard which is not sturdy enough for the size of this furniture. Same thing with the chair.
We now have the same problem with a love seat. The particleboard on the end caps that these units are made with is not supportive enough. With normal reclining use there should be no reason for these end caps to separate like they are doing. It is comfy furniture. I don't like that it is made with particleboard. Someone needs to figure out a better solution than particleboard for support. This is supposed to be high-end furniture. For the price I honestly think it should be built with better quality wood, period. It is annoying to have to make appointments to have furniture repaired or replaced. Our old set lasted 9 years & was passed on still in decent shape. No issues with the set. We were just ready for something new.
Disappointing that this Catnapper furniture probably won't give us 5 good years of service. Sad. We did purchase warranty, but never expected to have to use it, especially not in the first month of ownership. I pity anyone purchasing this furniture & would not recommend it based on the issues we've had with it. We are now faced with another annoying call to make to schedule for repair/replacement (around our work schedules) & that creates inconveniences. We are writing in hopes that maybe something may be done to improve the workmanship of this product. Maybe it will help anyone making future purchases.
We honestly feel that the problem would be cured if better wood were used on the end caps of the furniture. Particleboard is obviously not the best choice considering what we've seen with this set. Definitely should be put together with something stronger/more solid. Calling local distributor is no help at all. We got ripped off with this cheaply made furniture. Would not recommend to anyone. Don't waste your time & most of all your money! Not worth it. Buyer beware! Company should be ashamed of their products instead of promoting it as "high-end"!

I contacted Catnapper and spoke to the RUDEST customer service (?) rep ever! All she kept repeating was that the warranty was up. Period! She continuously interrupted me and threatened to hang up on me, which she ultimately did. She said I insulted her and the company by implying that the furniture should have been of somewhat better quality. I honestly didn't think springs should be broken under 2 cushions in 2 years of minimal use. She again, in her nasty tone, indicated that I should have looked at the warranty when I bought it. I thought maybe she would have referred me to her supervisor who might want my info to see if there were any other issues of this nature. Maybe it was a flaw in the manufacturing??? Maybe it could be corrected for a future customer. After the interrupting, the abruptness, and the rudeness on her part, she hung up on me.

Besides Customer Service at x3, the other two choices are Human Resources at x1 and Accounts Payable at x2(!). So, I called back and dialed x1 and the voice of Heather (who had set up her voice mailbox, bless her) came on, but, alas, no Heather. For a company that is as big as Jackson claims it is, having only 3 options (HR, AP, and CS) with the Customer Service line not even set up to leave a message shows me that they don't care about anyone, that they are extremely unprofessional, and that if they don't care about me as one of their customers, then they don't care if anyone ever buys their products ever again, which means that no one should buy from them so that they go out of business, which, again, they clearly do not care about happening.
Pro Tip: Furniture does not last forever; Jackson Furniture should set up not one, but a few, Customer Service lines and put those numbers on its website to show that it values the people who spend money on Jackson products. At this point, I do not feel valued in any way, shape, or form and I will definitely never buy another Jackson Furniture product again. I am always willing to spend more money on a product if I know that a portion of that money is being spent on quality and service that I know I will eventually need. I rate Jackson Furniture ZERO STARS for its nonexistent Customer Service. BTW, the reclining loveseat itself is in very good shape and it has no signs of wear at this point in spite of my 5 dogs and 3 cats who like it and sleep on it, and I do find it comfortable (so I rate the product 4 Stars). But, again, for me, no customer service = no future business.

I purchased a catnapper sectional paid $3246.88, it was delivered in February 2012 11/2 years later small peeling places started appearing which became worse over time. I called the furniture store where I purchased the sectional. A repairman was sent who took pics & ordered new covers, about 4 months later in early part of 2015 the repairman returned, put the new seat cover, and covers on the upper part of the recliner. Less than 2 months later the peeling started again. The repairman came took pics said to wait, see if anything else happens, it's been another 3 months, the peeling is worse.
I contacted my furniture store today, while waiting on the phone, I googled my sectional by model number. What I saw infuriated me, one site had 119 complaints and another 59 complaints on Jackson Furniture and catnapper. The pics people posted are exactly the same that has happened to my sectional and the console boxes. My husband and son work out of town are home on weekends and I very seldom use this room. Therefore the catnapper sectional has been used very little. Consumers who have spent hard earned money on a piece of junk deserve a replacement and apology from this company. I called catnapper and haven't had them to return my call. These products should be recalled. If I hadn't purchased an extra warranty for $464.99, I wouldn't been able to have the repairs I've had done the previous two times.
Updated 1/25/2016 - I wrote a review in December 2015 about my catnapper sectional, of seven pieces only 1 piece isn't peeling, staples falling out or cushions wrinkled up in a big lump. I have read numerous complaints on the Internet. I found the BBB of southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia has numerous complaints. I filed a complaint in December, Catnapper had until January 22 to answer my complaint. They didn't. I urge anyone to file complaints with the BBB and also file a complaint with the attorney general of your state as well as Tennessee.

Today 12/05/15 I received my new Catnapper Mega Power Lift Recliner, Manufacturer Number 489829 aka: Catnapper "Pow'r Lift" Full Lay-Out Chaise Recliner. It is advertised as featuring a Power Lift/Lay Flat recliner, a tall back channeled for ultimate support and comfort, premium padded bonded leather, comfort coil seating, and a 450 lb. capacity rated lift chair. There are photos that show this chair in a fully reclined (Laid Flat) position.
My new chair does not lay back to a sleeping flat position. The best I can do using a protractor to measure the degrees of recline is 78. If this chair laid back as far as it is pictured and described it would be at or near 180, it is not even close to that. I have been told today by the Conn's Furniture Sales Company that they tested chairs in the store at my complaint. The two available unsold chairs reclined to about where mine reclines.
If this is true of this line of chairs it is very deceptive advertising Jackson Catnapper. I either want a chair that they advertised to me or my total purchase costs and delivery fees. This chair is a replacement for one that broke within the first year of service and was replaced by this new chair. Total amount spent will be greater than this new replacement charge on the invoice because we did pay tax and delivery on the initial order. Thank You.

I finally pulled ALL paperwork including warranties, original receipts which I kept and saw that it is not covered. I could understand that if our couch has been abused but there has only been two adults using this couch at all times and should last longer than 3 years!!!
Is there not any companies or manufacturers that make a quality item that is reasonably priced. What needs to be done is for it to be replaced free of charge or a credit to get another couch. As of now I will NEVER again recommend Catnapper products to ANYONE! You have my email information if you are willing to contact me? The Order number for Knoxville Wholesale Furniture is **. On 9 Nov 2013, I purchased several pieces of furniture from Wholesale Furniture, Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC, to include a couch, love seat, two end tables and matching rocker chair. A spring broke in the cushion of the love seat and the material on the back cushion came partially loose from its stitching. I would like to mention the furniture was manufactured at Catnappers. The Limited Lifetime Warranty reads as follows: Comfort Coil Seat Cushions Five (5) Year Warranty.
On 8/25/15 I called Wholesale Furniture Co. and spoke with Melissa to report the problem with the cushion. I was told I would get a callback. No callback. On 8/31/15 I called again. Finally on 9/4/15 a person by the name of David came to our house to look at the love seat. The first words that came out of his mouth were, “This is a very nice house and I can see the there is NO abuse to the furniture, but a factory defect.” David took several pictures of the defect for the purpose of submitting them to Catnappers factory. My husband and I are over 70 years old and don’t make a habit of jumping on our furniture. Besides that we don't have children or grandchildren living with us that would damage our furniture.
On 9/15/15 I called the furniture store and spoke with Candice inquiring about the next step. I was informed that David did not take pictures of the code that is under the foot rest of the love seat. They were needed by the factory. I laid on the floor with my cell phone camera and took pictures of that code and personally brought it to the store. On 9/16/15 Call to Melissa. No callback. 9/23/15 call to Melissa. No return call. On 10/19/15 I called twice and was informed they were expecting a truck from the factory with the replacement love seat. Needless to say no replacement love seat ever came. Nor did they call to let us know that there was truck coming with our love seat.
On 10/20/15 I spoke to the owner Holland Peters. I was informed in a most aggressive tone of voice that no replacement would come. After all the love seat is almost two years old and we could not expect service for an old piece of furniture. In other words, we were lied to by Melissa the entire time. I asked about the written guarantee from the factory and I was told I could check with the Sales Rep. Jeff **. I called on 10/21/15 and spoke with the Sales Rep. who could not remember ever getting pictures from Wholesale Furniture, in regards to the aforementioned issue. I was told by Jeff ** that he was traveling and I would have to wait until he returned to his office at which time he would call me back. Today is 11/12/15 and I have never received a courtesy return call.
10/26/15 I called Jeff ** without results as well as a person by the name of Kathryn at Catnappers. Neither person felled they had the courtesy of returning my calls. On 10/26/15 I again spoke with the owner Holland Peters and I was spoken to in a most aggressive tone of voice. I was informed that they would do me a favor of picking up the love seat and would do repair themselves. After all I was again reminded about this old piece of furniture I owned, that it was not common for Wholesale Furniture to do repairs, but they would do me a favor.
That afternoon my love seat was picked up and returned to me on 11/6/15. The spring on the cushion was not fixed. I doubt that Catnappers knows about the problem. Why do I have a warranty for 5 years on springs and nobody is willing to stand behind the warranty. Needless to say that I would never again purchase anything from this store. When I purchased this furniture they were ever so friendly, but be aware if you experience any problems.

Their furniture is pretty, but BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a couch for $660 in the end of May 2015. It is not the beginning of November 2015 and the couch started dropping STAPLES from the bottom... VERY DANGEROUS if you have a crawling infant like I do. Swallowing a staple is not something I'm willing to risk with any child. So, they told me that my couch has the lifetime limited warranty through the manufacturer. IT'S A LIE. This manufacture has a clause that does NOT offer warranty on products sold from a liquidator, which this company is. They lied. And if they didn't know, they should know that information. Either way, I'm willing to take fault, as I did not research as in depth as I should have I suppose.
Back to the couch - when I removed the bottom fabric, only about half of the staples were attached to wood. The rest were just in the fabric, waiting to fall out. Not to mention THE ENTIRE FRAME OF MY COUCH IS HELD TOGETHER BY STAPLES. There are no bolts, screws, or any metal hardware to help hold the frame.. The frame is already starting to come apart and we don't even use this couch that much. It's just really sad that they would sell dangerous furniture. The couch I got was supposedly made by Jackson Furniture, that touts quality construction using solid hardwoods, computer cut wood parts, precision tailoring and inspection, etc. BUT there's a tag on the bottom that says it's made by American Furniture..... hmmm. SCAM! DON'T RISK IT! DON'T LET YOUR CHILD BE THE NEXT ONE WHO YOU SEE WITH A STAPLE READY TO PUT IT IN THEIR MOUTH!!!

At time of repair noted foam and fabric issues: fabric pulling apart at cup holder tray, foam bulking in some areas and thin in others making poor posture in seating. Cushions thinning and flattening on seats, seatbacks and footrests. Foam is too thin twisting underneath fabric. Worse yet just at about 14 months the fabric at the headrest started peeling (noted to be so thin like the skin under an eggshell). The retailer is currently still trying to assist us with the above. I called the local Jackson Customer Service rep and left several messages. He didn't call me back after over a month of trying. I then called the main plant for the head of Customer Service, I left several messages on her phone, and after one month I never got a return call. I then asked Rachaels personnel to help me. After three weeks they got a couple in and I traded one for one I had. The bonded leather material is warranted for 12 months. At 14 months, the material on one of the chairs started to come off on the top, seat and leg cushions to the points where it was embarrassing.
I called Rachaels and got their local "repair" guy out. They wanted to charge me another $220 for new covering. I was so mad at paying top dollar for a recliner set that lasted 14 months with no feedback from the Jackson Furniture company that I decided I am not giving them another dollar and went out and bought another complete recliner set. My advice, if you don't like your leather to peel after 14 months and don't want to pay to have it recovered, don't give this non responsive company your business. My husband bought 3 different types of Catnapper recliners from a local store in our area--Big Sandy Furniture--in August 2013. He paid $2100 for the three recliners. His is a Leather Touch rocker/recliner, which is rarely sat in. My granddaughter's is a Duck Dynasty camo fabric rocker/recliner, which is used frequently. Mine is a fabric-covered, fully reclining electric recliner, which I constantly sit in because of health issues with my back and legs.
My recliner has had constant problems. After having my chair only a few months, the wooden frame on the backrest broke on one side. It took a couple of weeks to get a Jackson Furniture repair person to my home. I watched him take the back fabric off my chair, take photos of the broken wooden frame. He then proceeded to repair it with a piece of wood, some screws (he had to borrow my husband's drill), and wood glue. Within a couple of weeks, the same area broke again. This time, my husband visited the store. He demanded a replacement.
The replacement arrive a couple of weeks later. It was the wrong chair. We had to wait another week or two to get the correct chair. But not long after the year's warrant expired (on the very first chair--because they would not give a new warranty for the replacement), the back on the latest chair broke also! And once, when our electric went off, we installed new batteries in the power pack (made for the purpose of having no electricity), but it would not work. So my chair was stuck in a reclined position until the electric was fixed!
My granddaughter's chair is showing signs of the same type of break, because it leans to one side. But as others have stated, we do not have the money to replace our furniture. My husband and I live on his Social Security Disability, and we are raising our granddaughter with no financial help from anyone. So I still use my broken recliner, because I cannot sit in other chairs for health reasons. A WARNING TO ALL CONSUMERS: Do not purchase any furniture made by Jackson Furniture Company, unless you just have plenty of money to waste. All you will get is aggravation, broken furniture, empty pockets!

I bought a chair and couch from value city furniture. Shortly after, some of the springs popped and the cushions were losing form. I went back to value city and said the furniture, which was made by Jackson Furniture industries, stated that the company had a lifetime warranty on the springs and a warranty on the cushions. You could also feel a board in your back because you sunk in on the couch and the arm rests caved in because all it is is cardboard.
Value city said that the company is no longer in business... (What?!). So they (value city) repaired the springs for me free of charges. 3 years I have had this couch and it literally is garbage and belongs in the dump. When I sit down you sink all the way to the floor. All of the springs are busted except 2. You have a wooden plank that sticks in your back when you sit. The couch was crap. 1 Year after buying and now it is 10x worse. Now and I can't afford a new couch. Do not buy from Jackson or catnapper!!!

If this is what you get for "buying American", I am definitely finished doing so. I will never purchase this brand again and will tell everyone I know not to do so either. The padding in the leg rests on the sofa and love seat was so thin you could feel the bracing. The left arm rest on the sofa has a indention where my arm lay from lack of padding. I contacted Kings furniture on February 28th 2015 and was told warranty had run out and I needed to call furniture fast repair. I did call and he immediately said it would cost me between $350.00 to $500 for repairs. I explained the warranty had elapsed only a month before, he told me to call Catnapper, which I did, got a voice mail, left my name and phone number, and they never called me back.
I called Kings Furniture again telling them how disappointed we were with this purchase. They sent two guys to my house and re-stuff the leg rest, but could not stuff the arm rest because arm rests has no zipper. They said it would have to be cut at the seam, re-stuff and then sewn back up. Do Not Buy Jackson/Catnapper Furniture.

I received a catnapper recliner/rocker (camo) for Christmas in 2012 from my wife as I had become recently disabled. This was to replace my old chair (15+ years old and second hand) that was just worn out and causing me issues. The right hand side frame on the back (bolstering?) has broken. After turning the chair on its side and removing some of the upholstery staples in order to get a better look at what happened I was shocked to find the chair is made from low density particle board and plywood. I surely expected much better quality from a US-made product. After all that is one of the major selling features for us, supporting North American manufacturers.
I have sent a support request to TSC Stores in regard to the chair and am waiting to hear back. I have taken many photos of the frame damage as well as how it is manufactured. I was also quite surprised to find 'sawdust' inside the upholstery. Obviously from the particle board disintegrating. If and when I hear from the store I will be sure to update on my experience.

We have had this set for less than 6 months. The cushion has been replaced with a lot of struggle with our LOCAL store and the chair is just as bad, but you can't just slap a new cushion on it to repair. The tacks have popped off, color has faded and the cushions are failing. Now as for the color fading, I know sunlight---not with me, in the room there is just one bay window that never allows direct sunlight. Not all that sunny here in Wisconsin. Wish me luck. This review is not overstated, it is the absolute truth. I purchased a couch and loveseat from Jackson furniture and cannot believe they would rip the public off by selling their junk furniture. The armrests that are covered with material are literally made of cardboard. Simply by lying down on the couch with my head on the arm, it caved in. The cushions, after about 3 months, were totally out of shape and look terrible. I paid $1500 for this couch and loveseat and it is without a doubt the biggest rip-off I have ever experienced.
The problem with these companies who just don't give a damn about their customers is that they just keep on operating because no one will ever really do anything about it whether it be the BBB or whoever. These types of businesses are kind of like a ponzi scheme...they sell their cheap furniture for an expensive price to buy more cheap material to make more cheap furniture to sell at an expensive price and so on and on. UPDATED ON 02/25/2015: Purchased at HFMO in Warner Robins, GA Mid Nov 2014. Waited 4 weeks for delivery. Nail head design crooked throughout both the couch and the Loveseat. Cushions on couch are lower and springs are sprung. Found two nails sticking out and causing holes in the fabric. Couch back does not have enough fill in it and has loose fabric and droops. After waiting another almost 4 weeks for "fast furniture repair", the technician stated it will be 4 to 6 weeks for the parts to arrive to be repaired.
After waiting several weeks, I called the store, HFMO who stated that Jackson Furniture decided to replace the couch and Loveseat (which is I asked for in the first place). HFMO estimated the delivery to have been this past week and only after contacting them again did they inform me that now it won't be until after Mar 9.
I certainly hope that all these delays are not lies and that I really will receive replacement for this very poorly manufactured set. I have zero confidence in this company at this point and believe that the store and the manufacturer should stand behind their product, perhaps have better quality control, and resolve complaint and problems in a timely fashion. For no apparent reason, soon after the one-year warranty ran out, the paint started to bubble on the sofa and the love seat bolts that hold it secure came loose and the loveseat sorry to swivel back-and-forth. I called the furniture store from where I purchased the items and they were good to come out and tighten the bolts on the loveseat. The furniture store told me I would have to pay for new material and installation for the couch. I agreed to pay and for them to repair. It was never ordered. Not too long after my first complaint and repair order, the rest of the sofa paint started to bubble as well. My sofa looks terrible at this point with all the paint bubbling and peeling off. I believe the furniture store knows of the defects and that is why they won't repair it. In the meantime with dealing with that the paint on the reclining loveseat has started flaking away not bubbling. The fabric of the chair started to pucker, the seat stuffing bunched up and only 1/2 of the heat element is in the chair. It's like they forgot half the heating elements. Not happy at all. Store says there's nothing they can do. Don't buy this brand!!!

Bought the sofa and love seat for close to $3000. Before the year was up the "leather" was already wearing away! I am mad as hell that companies are allowed to do this and not be held accountable. I have read all the other complaints and feel ripped off. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FURNITURE FROM JACKSON FURNITURE!!!
UPDATED ON 06/01/2017: Set purchased was an electric sofa and love seat for over $3000.00. I had posted my first review with pictures about 1 year after purchase. We are both over 65 so the wear and tear of this set is very disheartening. I should have started about 6 months after purchase because that is when we first started seeing some deterioration. The "leather" started to discolor where you sit and put your feet when reclined. Then we noticed the seams starting to split apart on the love seat because it was used more often than the sofa.
The set is a dark brown and the split seams are white which is very noticeable. As the months passed more seams were cracking and the "leather" on the sides of the middle console cover became hard and brittle and cracked so bad that we decided to remove the cover because it looked so awful. Next we started to see the seams on the sofa starting to pull apart and the spring under the middle seat came loose so when you sat down you could feel a lump. The sofa was not used often only when we had company. My husband and I basically used just the love seat. Next a spring on my side of the love seat has came loose. So now I feel a lump. We are now looking for a new set of furniture after only 4 years of use by senior citizens. This furniture is not worth the money you pay for it!

I purchased a reclining sofa and loveseat in December 2010. In 2012 the bonded leather peeled off in thin layers. We only use the furniture three to four months a year as we reside in Florida the rest of the time. After I contacted Jackson Furniture several times with no results, I contacted the Better Business Bureau. They were very helpful and Catnapper sent me an insert which I paid to have installed at a cost $60.00 to me. May of 2014 I noticed several places on the loveseat and sofa where the same thing was happening. I guess I just have to live with this defect as I can't afford to replace it at this time. This is what I get for trying to buy Made in American.

We bought 3 pieces of furniture, a sofa, recliner, and chair. In less than 2 years, the leather is disintegrating. It looks horrible!! The furniture is ok, but we paid $3000.00 for furniture that didn't even hold up for 2 years. We need to be reimbursed or a phone call from the company to offer to help fix it.

I bought a powerlift chair for my dad in 2010. You would think that a company that builds furniture could get replacement parts for the product that they build in factory. My ex intentionally took the cord and transformer out after he broke my arm and physically beat me unconscious and while I was unconscious on the ground, he brought the chair without the cord, so I get in touch with the company. I talked with Jon **. She was more than happy to order the cord and take my money. The cord was wrong. I sent it back on my dime. They said it has two cords that fit the chair now, and they would send me the other cord. They sent me the same exact cord. When I finally got them back on the phone, I was informed that they don't deal with the public and especially if the product is out of order, but she dealt with me to take my money and send me the same wrong cord twice.
I sent them pictures of every serial number and style number. Pictures of the connections to my chair, and they still sent the wrong cord and then told me they would not get me the right cord, nor give my money back. I will not promote this company and I sure hope No one else gets the treatment I did. A company should stand behind their products whether in warranty or if you are offering to buy the replacement parts. I was left high and dry with a cord they knew was wrong. She said that they must have put an old cord on it when it was built that doesn't go to this chair. Hmm. Well it was built in their company. I am not at all happy that they knew this and took my money anyway...

Bonded leather issues - Don't give up! They replaced my couch, loveseat and recliner at no charge and it was 4 years old. Demand to speak with a supervisor and keep calling the supervisor till you get it replaced at no charge. I don't know if there is a recall or not but there should be with all the issues posted online.

Bought bonded leather recliner two years ago for houseboat. Only used three months per year. Bonded fabric has separated and disintegrated in five different areas. Called and emailed Catnapper with no response whatsoever. Recliner itself works fine but fabric is worthless. Very disappointed.

I've had this recliner for almost three years now and only constant good has been heat and massage. Within six months, the cushion was flat and I added a pillow to get out of the hole. Last year, the cross brace on the legs broke and using Jackson website for parts was useless as was the Jackson rep through the store where I made the purchase. After a few weeks and several trips, the store got the replacement which is not as heavy built as original and I had to pay shipping charges for it. Then the lever to extend the foot rest twisted apart under the chair and after replacing that has since twisted apart again. O and I've added two more pillows as well. Am currently looking for a replacement which will not be a catnapper or anything else by Jackson but a bit hesitant to purchase after this experience.

I don't want to drag this out, so I won’t go deep into it. I am working hard to let people know everywhere that this company is the worst I have ever had to deal with. I bought a Catnapper recliner from a company that has a great reputation in our community. Unfortunately they carried this brand. I bought the chair for $499.99 and told them I would pick it up the next few days. Long story short, I had returned the chair 3 times in 6 months to correct my legitimate complaints of an off center chair that lifted 1 side of the chair off the ground while reclined and ultimately caused me to fall backwards about 50% of the time.
After a few calls into the store and speaking to the company rep, Jackson Furniture/Catnapper had no interest in helping me even though I explained to them I had fallen backwards several times. So please hear me when I say... STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND ITS FURNITURE. They don't care about you after the sale. Oh yeah, they don't even have a phone number for customer service or complaints. You have to write in or email. How's that for customer service?

A lot of people on here are crying foul about price and product... The fact of the matter is you get a quality product at a reasonable price. Have had the Brantly bonded leather sofa and loveseat for about a year now and have had no problems. I wouldn't overpay and I found a local retailer that would work with me on price. If you're going to some box store, you're going to walk out feeling great but you're going to overpay.. My personal suggestion is to deal with someone local that you can depend on. (Box stores = YUCK) With the box stores it's all about what warranty they want to cover.
