Aaron's sales and lease AKA Aaron Rents was asked by me to verify several debts they reports to my credit reports. To begin with, they reported different amounts in dollars and cents on each report, they reported different quantities of accounts to each agency and inaccurately reported dates. These accounts were open by reporting they were all open on the same month, day and year which means they allowed someone to walk in and according to their records put over 10,000 worth of merchandise on lease all in one day.
The payments they say were made were inaccurate and the length of time they say the payments were made far exceeded the length of time they say we had the accounts!!! How's that possible? I pointed all these inaccuracies out to the credit bureaus and told them that Aaron's refused to validate the debts for me as I sent a certified return receipt letter requesting validation and for them to follow the consumer reporting laws, Aaron's never responded.
Then I contacted the Georgia governor of consumer affairs and asked for their assistance and they sent Aaron's a letter and a copy to me and after 30 day I was told Aaron's ignored them as well! Be wary of this company. Because I proved their lack of assistance in this matter TransUnion and Experian quickly removed the debts but Equifax --- who I filed a complaint about also, has not removed it as of yet. Apparently Aaron's feels they are above the law. Because of their lack of concern for the consumer laws this gives this company serious red flags as far as I'm concerned. They are affecting my credit score and report and I want that last item left on my Equifax report removed.

I signed an agreement for a tv, and let the girl (Naley) know I will need the remote and manual for it. While waiting for my friend to arrive, Naley never once bothered to look for the remote, and when he arrived, we waited at least an hour, before finally, the guy who I signed the papers with got one almost immediately, which wasn't his responsibility to do. I noticed as other customers arrived, the woman stood there, chatting with a co-worker for at least 10-15 minutes, before she finally assisted the customer. Other employees were right on top of their duties.
The gentleman, Kendell, who was supposed to assist me also pretty much ignored me, unless I got his attention, and even then, he and Naley kept putting it off. No big deal that all I needed was the remote and manual, but for me to have to wait an extra hour after my friend arrived, was completely irresponsible of the 2 "customer service" reps to act. I've loved Aaron's, and have bought products from them in the past, 2 of which were taken home the same day, without any wait or problem. It is my opinion that at least one of the 2 reps (the young lady) should most definitely be let go. The only time she worked, was when the store manager was there, in the store.

I'm writing regarding an issue I had with your sectional. I received a sectional in April. A few weeks after the merchandise was in my house, we started itching but really didn't think nothing of it. Month pass on and everyone in the house has bite marks from where something has been bitten on us, so we notice little white bugs coming out the cushion on the couch. We flip it sofa over and notice it was little white bugs and some brown bugs all inside and the seat cushions and pillows on the sofa.
I went to Rent-A-Center, spoke with Christopher, the store manager. I explain my story, he said he will put in a claim. They will come out and pick up the sofa but they will spray my place first. I told him that is fine with me, all I want is a new sofa. So a week pass, no one has contacted me or said anything. I contact Christopher at the store and tell him I haven't heard anything. He said "yea they slow and never contact people back", they get on his "** nerves" and that he will contact them for me. So meanwhile I PAID Orkin to come out and look at my sofa. He did say the sofa has bugs and we need to get that sofa out my place right away. So I went back to Rent-A-Center and showed pictures of our arms and legs and receipt from Orkin. I was told by Christopher to rub alcohol over our bodies, it keeps the bugs away. Since then I had sprayed the sofa, rub alcohol of us daily.
On July 25th "terminator" from Rent-A-Center came to look at the sofa. He did see the bugs on the sofa, he asked to look in our rooms because bugs travel. He said he will let rent a center know the place need to be sprayed and they should take this sofa out. Since then I haven't heard anything from the claims department. I receive 1 letter asking me to contact them - I did. I left over 6 messages sent 3 emails, no response. So I decided to stop making payments and that's when Rent-A-Center contacted me for a payment. I'm not making payments on a sofa I can't sit on. I'm buying alcohol and spray for the sofa.
On September 12th and 13th my son woke up and wasn't able to open his eye. He was rushed to the emergency room. Not to my surprise, he was bitten by a bug. It seem the night before he fell asleep on the sofa and my older son removed him off when he seen him laying on the sofa. I then contact Christopher and told him I need this sofa to get out my house. He stated for me to throw it away. He said "I wouldn't keep the sofa in my house if those bugs was bitten my family up." I received letters from Rent-A-Center saying I need to turn in the merchandise. But when I called, I'm told by Christopher they don't want it, throw the sofa away.
I need help, I don't know what to do. I'm asked to return the merchandise. I contacted Rent-A-Center, they won't take it back. I can't keep this sofa, the bugs are still bitten us up. I NEED YOUR HELP, what should I do? The only thing I asked for is a new sofa but yet I'm getting the runaround. I now want to be released from the contract so I can get a sofa elsewhere. I find it not professional - never got a call from the claims department for their decision on the sofa. I never had a problem with Aaron's, I rented from them so many time.

We purchased a riding lawn mower from Aaron's and we've only had it a month. It has a bad tire so we cannot use it. They have been blowing us off. They say they will fix it but they do not. No calls and no shows.

My 40-inch smart TV has been unwatchable for a month due to accident that caused screen to break. My dog came into my home and jumped up onto TV stand and knocked TV off causing a crack in the middle of screen starting at very top. The TV still plays, makes a pitch but the colors blend in together and the crack covers middle of screen so you really can't see much of anything except the bottom half of the person's body. My mother called Aaron's the day after the accident and that's been a month ago and we still haven't heard from them. They want us to continue making payments on broke TV in which we plan on doing and have done so for the month of Sept but Aaron's can't back up their agreement and bring out another TV.
I just don't think it's fair or right in any way that payments are being made on broken TV and Aaron's hasn't yet brought out another one. My mother and I are standing in good faith making payments on broken TV as we should so we feel Aaron's should do the same by bringing another TV out because my mother and I already know we're having to pay for two TVs instead of one. We're going to give Aaron's 2 more days to bring out a different smart tv. If a TV isn't brought out by then my mother and I are going to get copies from the bank of payments made on TV after TV is broke and turn over to our lawyer. Maybe then we'll see some action.

On Wednesday, September 3rd 2015 I called Aaron's here in Jackson, CA, informed them I could not make my monthly payment until funds were available. They said, "When," then... I said, "Don't know." The so called store manager Robert started harassing me later that day on the 3rd. I checked my email and realized they were trying to charge me for 2 months of lease and I refuse to pay except monthly, upon speaking to Robert on the 3rd he said, "Only 5.00 late fee would be charged, not all extra fees." This company are pretty cutthroat to their customers.

Aaron's responded after seeing this review and I must admit they went above and beyond to make things right. They really made me feel good about everything and were very apologetic towards the entire incident that led to my post.
Aaron's went so far and above my expectations that I now highly recommend them. Trust me, if you have an issue they will take care of you.

I am a long term customer who has paid off four high-priced items and currently paying on two new items. You would think that Aaron's would care about me as a long term customer, but I am being made to feel as if they care nothing at all about any of us. Especially those of us who have spent thousands of dollars with them. Please let your friends know what kind of company they really are dealing with here and spare them the aggravation that I have suffered. It took a lot of time and patience for me to finally reach this point, but after repeated attempts to get anyone at Aaron's to show they really care, my efforts have failed and so have they as a company. Spare your family and friends this aggravation and do business somewhere else. You will thank me and yourself for doing so. They simply DO NOT CARE!

I had submitted an order online for a tv/stereo combo on 8/30/2015. I provided my debit card to make the initial payment and it was processed. On the next day after reading some more of the contract, I decided to cancel the delivery. I contacted the local store and spoke with a sales associate and she said that the manager would have to handle this. Manager called me back and advised me to come to the store on Wed 9/2/2015 to finish process. The manager's name is Jeff **. On 9/2, I went to the store and asked for Jeff. I was informed by a sales associate that he was not in. I told her who I was and why I was there. She informed me that the order had been cancelled and I could expect the refund in 3-5 business days. The sales associate gave me copies of an internal email indicating the order had been cancelled. We are now on the 10th business day and no refund has been issued.
I have attempted to contact their customer service and have been placed on a hold and then disconnected after an attempt to transfer me to a supervisor twice. I finally got the name of Jessica ** and her phone number as the person who handles the ecom orders. I have left repeated phone messages with her and no return calls. I am extremely fed up with the lack of the refund and complete disregard for my phone inquiries. Next step after this will be contacting BBB and an attorney.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Employees nice at first but then became nasty, constantly calling and now coming to the house before 8 am on a weekend, banging on the door and honking their vehicle horn for over a 1/2 hr. Won't listen or stop harassing. I spoke to local police and they advised me to call when they show up and they'll remove them and ticket them for trespassing. Stop calling. I'm done w/ Aaron's, I owe nothing. Sue me if need be - I'll win.

So let me say first I am on disability. I do not have credit and as a gift I wanted to get my fiance a PS4. Had I known a year later of this mess, I would never have done this - tip don't rent electronics. I found out the unit was released. Below is all the problems I have had with it and Aaron still has not given me a new console and claims now it must go to Sony (as I told them from the get go that it needed to go to Sony because of the problems per Sony themselves). I have not had a working console for a month and now they want to bill me for it in September. Kinda like making a car payment which the car is in the dealer's shop due to a recall... not fair honestly. I feel like I have been cheated, lied to and over charged and they refuse to replace it with a new system.
The lens is not reading DVDs, Blu-ray disks or games properly both freeze frequently (Checked disks in friend's console and all disks work fine in theirs but not mine). The hard drive keeps dumping data. Games were dumped, saves were dumped and finally the whole system reformatted itself on its own to factory settings. I was instructed by Sony to leave it on that screen because it might help with the diagnostics of the hard drive (Seriously, I am not joking and the tech support at Sony was even baffled as to why. The night before I was trying to play a game and it kept freezing).
Downloading games is incredibly slow. I have service electric, and it is connected via Ethernet. The modem is about 4 feet from the console. Games even played offline freeze a lot. Even downloaded games will glitch, freeze and shut down. Cloud saves do not work. They do not upload properly. I have had to use a USB flash drive to back up my data for games.
The fan after a period of time between 15 minutes to an hour starts sounding like it is grinding and is very loud like I am running a wind machine. The power issue, system will turn itself off and on and will display a solid white light then a blinking orange colored light then turns solid white. I have to unplug console, let it rest and restart the system (There are no other devices near the console but my DirecTV box which is on the other side of my TV stand. The stand is about 4 feet wide and is an open air design to prevent overheating of devices;
I spoke with Eric and Chris part of Sony tech support online for PS4 regarding issue. They feel because of the data dump, power issue and lens not reading properly and freezing even on hard drive games, that the system is failing. Also mentioned by Chris about issues with 1% of first generation consoles that were bundled with a game called "knack" that have had serious defects with the lens and hard drive (My console happens to match this description. Model number CHU-1000a is the model Sony is debating a full recall since this has been a recurrent issue for more people than just me).
The dual shock 4 controller is recalled by Sony (this is an active recall) also due to grip wearing off, buttons being unresponsive and not holding a charge. My other controller which was bought at GameStop and is about a year and a half newer does not have such issues. The console was pre-owned. The console does not have any external signs of damage. However, I am unsure as to why the console (that may have had active issues) was leased to me. Is it possible (though I have no access to this) that previous owner had same issue and that is why it was returned to the store after a month use? Once it started freezing all the time and dumping memory I decided we needed to take care of this before I pay it off.
My belief and I am sure you agree with me is why pay for something that will eventually break completely. Jared (The store manager at the time) assured me that the console worked fine even though it was not reformatted and I called and spoke with him. He told me if I had any issues with the console that he would make sure it was replaced, not sent for repairs but replaced. Since store policy has changed and he is no longer with Aaron, I have no recourse on this verbal agreement.
Sony tech support offered to have the "owner" of the ps4 send it to them and a replacement with a new console would be sent. I cannot do this because it is a lease to own console and therefore since Aaron owns the console and not me. I understand had I sent it out through their offer, that Legally that would be a breach of my lease contract on my behalf. However Per Eric Aaron could also send it to Sony on my behalf.

This location doesn't check washers, dryers or electronic equipment to make sure it's working. I purchased a 2012 front loading washer and when I tried to run the first load it was obvious the barrel was completely unattached. They kept it for a month and offered every excuse why it wasn't repaired immediately. It was old (no it wasn't), their supplier couldn't find the part, they were waiting for the part to come in (for a MONTH?). Funny how that part magically appeared when I went to the store and got in their faces about it. They also sell pre-leased mattresses without sanitizing them, as NC LAW REQUIRES. They are supposed to sanitize each and every mattress between each and every customer.
The yellow stickers on the mattress will show the date of sanitation. MINE was sanitized 7 MONTHS before I bought it. They did NOT Sanitize my mattress!! I can't even sleep on it!! If you lease/purchase a bedroom set like I did and 5 months later decide the set is just too big and you send it back but keep the mattresses, these people REFUSE to re-write the contract. They REFUSE to show you the line item as to how much each piece costs. They do this to make more $$$. They also refuse to disclose their last names (MARK, RON, SAMANTHA). Who does that?! They also lease items that are known to be infested with BEDBUGS.

I'm getting calls like three times a day for a couple days and no, I was not answering because he told me I was good. I pick up and of course it's another idiot asking for a payment. I said "I already set up a payment with another manager." Mr. attitude, "Well, we can't do that. We need the money as of your original payment date and if you can't make the payment, we are coming to take your furniture back." I laughed because I was on vacation 3,000 miles away. Then he just continues to threaten me with some nonsense. No apologies, just rude and completely disrespectful. I wish I read the reviews before going that route but we live, we learn right. Went into 1 location. A very nice and seem to be understanding lady left the store. 3 employees including a GM I just got done speaking to said unbelievable things about this woman's weight in front of me. Beyond not nice. Things a sailor would not say for 15 mins. at least!!! Then they started in on a man in a wheelchair. Same kind of comments only referring to the handicap. At that point I had enough and decided they didn't need our business. So from Blanding to Normandy location we went only to find the same discuss. This one was kind of funny though. No education obviously. The manager could not get an employer on the phone to another customer. Came back to the customer I guess to rudely tell him that. The customer decided to go across the street where he worked to I guess find out why his boss didn't pick up the phone.
After he walked out the manager made the comment that he could take his time because he wasn't in no rush to rent to a sand **! After that not knowing he was speaking loud or just didn't care, looked over at another employee and said he was going to see what that ** wanted. I couldn't believe it! Funny cause he was Indian. Like the same he referred to earlier! After 2 stores from Aaron's, we decided to take our business to Rent A Center.

Well, I would like to say that I had to call corporate and file official complaint and Kevin the manager was no help at all. All he did was have me running around in circles.
He was making up stories so one of the head owners called me to look into the matter and I told him everything that's been going on.
After a million questions and showing him pictures, he has made this right. And to find out the delivery men were terminated and Aaron's has ordered me a replacement TV. Ted ** is very helpful he took the time to ask me questions repeatedly to understand the situation. He was the most help I have had the entire time and he made me change my mind about Aaron's. I will continue to do business with Aarons because of Ted. On a personal note, I would like to thank him so much for getting to the bottom of the matter and finding out the truth

I got washer and dryer and a 65 inch RCA TV. Well first off it took them like an hour to bring my TV. It was sitting outside. The damn thing doesn't look new - had scuffle the sign of where I don't know how but when I turn on the TV on it had a crack behind the screen at the bottom so I calls Aaron's. Said they would not take it back or replace it. I'm stuck with it. We have to pay out the lease. I called RCA and on core that was posted on the back of the TV and gave them the model number to buy a new screen for it because they're fairly easy to replace and both company said that the model number doesn't exist in their database. They told me to call Aaron's and find out exactly where the manufacturer is after getting these TVs from. So far I'm not getting any help. I wish people would research them before renting. I know I will never do it again.

My son, who I will say is just starting out, decided to take the coupons he received from the apartment complex where he rents an apartment and go look at getting a TV from Aaron's Rents in Albuquerque NM store number 1583. He filled out all the paperwork and they said he was approved, or so he thought. They asked for a deposit and told him they would deliver the TV the next day. By the next day, Aaron's said he wasn't approved actually and that he would not be getting the TV, with I will say payments of 141$ per month, for 24 months. I was upset with my son for going to that "loan shark" establishment in the first place. I was more upset with the store for giving him the run around and taking money from him before they had given a final approval.
The store manager, Alan, stated they would refund him the money and he would have it back within 48 hours. Well we are not 5 days later, well beyond 48 hours, and still no refund. I called the store manager, Alan, and explained that the refund still was not there, and he said "Well I don't know. It must be the bank." I told him I would get my attorney involved if I had to and he said "So what that doesn't scare us." Are you kidding me this company is a Joke, a waste to time and money. They are one step below or above a 1950's loan shark. Very Upsetting. I would never ever ever recommend anyone go there and purchase anything. I complained to Aaron's about earlier bedbug infestation and about their policy on early payout. I had been told by one of their employees that the early payout was not $1207.33 as specifically written on the receipt and that if I paid 1207, only half would go to the principal.
Aaron's management responded very quickly and professionally, assuring me that the aforementioned early payout policy was mistaken and that I could pay off the entire amount as stated on the receipt they gave me.
As for the bedbug infestation, they came out very quickly and inspected the furniture. There was no evidence of bedbugs whatsoever. They very courteously and professionally eased my mind and showed that the infestation was probably fleas from my dog. Because of their actions and attitude, I would recommend Aaron's to anyone.

The bed that Aaron's sold me has bedbugs. Also, they're, in effect, charging 50% interest yearly! The receipt they give me shows the Early Payout amount of about $1200. I asked if I could pay the entire amount and they informed me that only half of the 1200 would go towards the principal. In order for me to pay the entire amount and get out from under their debt, I would have to pay $2400. The Early Payout amount they are claiming, therefore, is a LIE! Their predatory practices are a scam and a rip-off.

I'm late making second payment, been in Texas when due date for payment came… I told them I would be in a certain date. That's not good enough for them. Then I'm going food shopping and manager of store harasses me outside the food store telling I need to make payment today when I arranged with someone else on Monday... And then she has nerve to call me on her own cell phone. This is the Aaron's on Tecumseh Rd West Windsor, Ont.

I was called and asked if I needed anything. I said I needed a dishwasher. They told me that they'd be there between 10 & 2, arrived @ 3 pm. Used it once, removed dishes, refilled and went to start the next load, door would not close. I called and Tyler was out. By 8pm no call, found out they @ 7pm. I have done business with them for chairs, dryer, stove - this is the first time I have had so much problem.

My mother was late on a payment and so they sent a Hispanic guy to our door but my mother wasn't home. My 13 year old brother answered the door and it was this guy from Aaron's. The guy asked for my mom and at the time she wasn't home. He asked if he could come in and my brother said no. He then asked if there was an adult. My brother said "no, but my sister's here". The man asked "how old is she?" and my brother replied "16". This man then asked again if he could come in and at the same time he's trying to push his way in with his foot in the door and his hand pushing the door open. That's when I got up from the couch and helped my brother push the door closed. I felt very threatened and scared. I'm not a customer. I'm just a family member that went through a bad experience with Aaron's.

I had purchased 2 items same as cash from Aaron's in the past. I was 2 days late on my payment of an all-in-one computer. A general manager, Matt, showed up at my door. First, he proceeded to chase my cat off our property. He then shoved a "door" tag in my husband's chest and demanded to know where I was. My husband told him to leave the property and he refused. My husband called the police and he proceeded to go back out to his van and flip my husband the middle finger and drive off. It may be coincidence but our cat came back injured that evening and had to be put down. The vet said she was kicked and/or hit by a car. I am so shaken up by this that we fear this person will come back. I cannot believe that Aaron's uses downright criminal activity against customers.

The General Manager was rude me over me trying to give him information on another customer they have. I tried to work a deal out with them on my payment and Matt, the GM, was rude about it. He asked, "Well, we will talk to you about it when you come in tomorrow, when you come in to pay your payment." Also my mattress on my bed is paid for and they still keep charging me on them and the bed protectors. Also they was the cheap things I got from the bed. The frame was more than anything and that is almost paid for. Matt said they ain't also. They overcharged me on it all. I even got a rug from them that was 300 dollars. They still saying I owe on it and I've paid over 300 dollars on it now.
I don't appreciate this one bit of overpayments. I really don't like it when Matt, the gm, got rude with me over the phone. He also hung up on me. I know for sure with him working in a place like this you are supposed to have all the respect even when someone gets rude with him because I work in a public place. When he raised his voice with me my soon-to-be husband even heard it. He said, "Well, I'll talk to you when you come in and then I'll see what I can do for you all," and said, "I will not help you all out if I can't get an address from you all and get the stuff back from the people."
If I don't get what is needed from me and my whole bed, saying it’s paid for or just the mattress and mattress covers and rug, I will never go back and I'll tell everyone else not to rent to own from Aaron's because they overcharge and have really bad attitude on everything. I even say that they don’t have no respect for anyone so I want this took care of or I'm calling BBB on Aaron's in Nicholasville KY and see how that goes because I am not going to overpay and have something not even a year that was used with scratches on it and the post is coming loose now. The post don't even get touched on The bed.

I have been a long time customer of Aaron's for over 10 years, always paying my items out... same as cash. I was in the process of remodeling after downsizing and needed a Refrigerator. Having spent all available funds in remodeling and contractors... this was affordable for me. After about three weeks I started noticing that if I got up in the middle of the night roaches would be in the floor in front of the refrigerator. I didn't think much of it. Thought it may have been from the neighbors or because this was previously my rental property but had been empty for one year. I had purposely replaced all the sheetrock and insulation throughout to rid myself of potential critters. So after seeing this three different nights my husband bombed the house.
One week went by nothing. Then when opening the refrigerator they would either fall on the floor or in front of you. My husband and I spent several nights just running back to the kitchen to see how many we could kill. Brought this to Aarons attention... They sent Terminix out. Two days no roaches. Then they came back. Tonight I have literally killed 16 roaches in two hours. I cannot wait for Aarons to open in the morning and push this out the door. I will be without a refrigerator for a couple of days because I want to bomb my house before putting in a new one.
The cabinet company was suppose to be coming to install cabinets. I totally gutted the house out and I have them on hold until these roaches are gone. Aarons was fully aware when they picked this up from previous renter that they had roaches... They should have never leased this out without resolving the issue. And I am so mad cause after Terminix came and I didn't see any roaches I went to the grocery store. This good will be ruined. Aarons University Ave. Little Rock, AR.

Where do I begin? Well might as well start with the first step in the door. I took my daughter to an Arron's in Snyder texas, there was one couple in the store prior to us walking in, we got no greeting just and few sharp glances. Another couple walks in behind us and we hear a obviously fake & ill greeting. I thought maybe it was just me not hearing, maybe they didn't see us etc. We made two circles around the store, stopped in the front of the desk, the manager is standing there. No "hello, can I help you?" Nothing. I ask how much for the set in the corner and her only response was "sold." Everything we had inquired was apparently sold. Oh except for the high priced set behind the doors where nobody could see. As explained by an employee who was trying to attend to all customers. I was annoyed and simply agreed to take whatever wasn't sold.
Now we get to the paperwork. I paid 3 months ahead, and explained that I work out of town most of the time, trying to fuel my own business, and sometimes out of state. I had a house fire and had none of the documents such as check stubs, but informed the ill manager that I would have them and if ever they couldn't get a hold of me for them not to worry because I would make a payment, she simply sighed and nodded as in agreement. It took them an entire month to deliver the bed set. I had called back and forth as my work schedule allowed, and informed management that even though I was not home someone of my household would be. I waited patiently as I am an understanding human. A few months later I fell 2 months and few days behind. I made the entire payment. And now as of the 15th of july I have fallen 2 months behind, travelling with work, unable to make calls due to roaming.
On the 16th the sheriff's left a card on my door. I called Aaron's to give them as much money as I could (more than half the payment due for 2 months). Well they refused, and the general manager has yet to call me back. My elder mother called and they were rude to her. After my mother said, "Wow you're rude," the employee responded, "Well it's hard to be nice to people that don't pay their bills on time." I also found out from another customer that Aaron's had been telling every customer in town all about my account. How I was behind, how my babysitter "looks crazy."
Excuse me Aaron's in snyder but my babysitter suffers from cancer, and because I try to help everyone I come across I may not always pay my bills all the time, but I will always be nice, respectful, to everyone. I do not discriminate against anyone, late payers, cancer fighters, etc etc. I'm pretty sure god doesn't like ugly, and I refuse to be ugly to ugly. I am in the process of returning the bet set, Colortyme has agreed to match the "new" set and at half the price. And they do it with smiles and kind hearts. I may not be rich but I know what respect is worth. Also know the value of a smile. Aaron's I suggest you invest in customer service. Thank you, god bless.

Got a 60in Tv from Aaron's, had the full lease plan... With about four payments left. The TV had a problem and needed to go for repairs at the end of May. Found out that the problem was a manufacturing problem and needed to be replaced. It is now July, they say they have a used tv in the store but it has none of the features the Tv that I paid for has and the one they do have that's the exact same TV has no base and can't be delivered to us because we are not willing to wall mount it. So we have to wait.
In the meantime I am required to pay payments or lose all the money I've already paid out. And listen to them lie to me every week about having my issue resolved on delivery day (that is on a Wednesday), and every Week it's a new reason why I can't have the TV replaced. I've spoke to the regional manager and the main corporate office in Georgia and still nothing. I think they are trying to get me to pay out my loan and be stuck with their loaner.

I have never had a bad experience with Aaron's. I have been a long-standing customer since 2008. They have never harassed me or called any of my references. They have never been inappropriate with me, have always repaired things that were manufacturer defects, even advised me not to buy a particular item because they were having too many problems with the product, and told me when they get a better supplier, they would let me know. They were always courteous and helpful - no attitudes.
Of course my bill is paid on time and if I DID run into a problem, they worked with me always. I have to North Carolina and still receive the same helpful service I have always had, it seems that most of the complaints I have read stem from money issues. I have an Amana washer and dryer that pays off in Feb 2016 and it is used almost daily, never had a problem with the set. I will continue to use Aaron's as a customer and never regret it.
I have walked into the store and they have carried a TV to my car and my first payment was not due until my other payments were. So I walked out with a TV and first payment was not due for 3 or 4 weeks. I have my payment auto deduct from my account and they always took payment on my requested date. So as I said, try for yourself and see how well Aaron's can be and as a final note, once you add interest charges from other stores, it really works out to the same price and delivery is free. So as a caring customer of Aaron's, I say they are tops.

On April 1st 2015, I went to our local Aaron's to check out the used riding mowers. I was shown several and agreed to rent one to own that was listed as $695.00 cash or $108.00 for twelve months. When the mower was delivered I was not home. My first time using the mower I discovered that the protector guard was not on the mower. I called the store to alert them of this safety issue. I was told they would order me one. It is now June and still no guard. The issue I have is when I made my June payment. I read the bottom of my receipt and it indicated that this was a 24 month agreement. I called the store and talked with the manager and he told me that I had agreed to a 24 month. I told him no and asked to see my folder. After looking through my folder, there were only two pages.
I asked him what happened to the other pages. He said that this was all. I told him that was not true because I watched the salesperson staple my paperwork to a new folder. I pointed out that there were multiple staple holes and it indicated that something had been removed and replaced. I go to the store today and asked to see my folder again... Guess what? There were nine pages this time. I asked him why? He just shook his head. So I asked where was the safety guard and was told they would have to order one. I laughed and shook my head. I asked why my payments had changed from $108.00 to $84.00? He said it was because of some early payment or I had paid in advance so they took the remainder of. I asked him "do I look retarded?" He was not expecting me to question this and I have been a customer with multiple payout accounts for years.
This is sad and I can honestly say Aaron's has changed from good to the dogs. I bought a dinette table and the chair legs broke on two. One was replaced and the other one was not. That was a year and a half ago. So I am contacting an attorney after this write in and I will be filing a lawsuit for them changing my rental agreement without notifying me and trying to force a change of agreement using my signature page and added it with new ones.... I will not do business with them after this ordeal is over and would never recommend this store to anyone....RENT-A-CENTER will be my choice and I approve of this message...

On May 9th 2015, I went to Aaron's in Plainfield IN and proceeded to rent a Love Seat. The advertisement in their monthly flyer stated that the first months rental is free. However, I begin to realize that according to them the 30 days was up on June 1st 2015 and that I was instructed to pay an additional 12.62 for my payment date to be moved to the 15th of the month. First of all, 30 days free meant from May 9th -- June 8 or 9th and after that date if I wanted my due date to be the 15th of every month it should have been prorated from June 9th until the 15th of the month. So, upon making the first payment I begin to question the sales representative and he stated, (in a demeaning voice) that this is how the system is set up, as if to say that there is nothing he was going to do to correct this error. To add insult to injury I was late with my first payment - he charged me an additional $8.00 late fee with taxes adhered to the late fee as well.
I'm very upset because I DID NOT RECEIVED THE 30 DAYS OF FREE RENTAL AS PROMISED/ADVERTISED! I FEEL, THIS WAS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND I PAID AN ADDITIONAL $12.62 TO HAVE MY DUE DATE MOVED TO THE 15TH OF THE MONTH. I'm an unemployed educated worker and all day long this is false advertisement. I feel cheated out of 9 days not limited to being my intelligence being insulted by the customer service representative. He also had the gall to suggest to me that I could pay an additional $12.62 to have my due date move back to the first. The nerve... The repairman came out and said there's nothing he can do I'll have to get the cushion replaced, fine. I let the store manager know and it took 3 months for anything happened. I was told that they would use the same contract as before, lies. So I ended getting new furniture that was ok. After a few months I noticed my children had bumps on them every time they would sit on the couch.
Thinking maybe it was something I sprayed on the couch I thought nothing of it. A few weeks later I discovered it was bed bugs in the couch. I didn't alert the store because I've got nothing but grief from them. So today, with my bill being 20 days late, they came to my home and demanded the furniture back. The lady was extremely rude to my son and husband and told them they better let them in the house. They can have this crap. I will never deal with Aaron again.

Every time I make a payment they keep changing when it's supposed to be paid for. I'm supposed to have 3 payments left & now they're saying I have 8 payments, and when I talked to manager again, he said it hasn't been updated yet. I talked to him about 2 months ago. I made my payment today, and they still haven't updated yet. I believe they want me to pay the full payment and pay it out through the 24 month agreement. I'm not going to lease anything from them, I do not recommend them at all, they're trying to get more money out of people.

Sometimes I wouldn't have my whole payment so I was told they couldn't take my money unless it was all of it. The next day they would call and change their minds. The main thing is this past Wednesday I had them to pick up the merchandise and the next day the manager called and said the TV screen was cracked. The person who picked it up told him it was cracked when he picked it up. That guy is telling the biggest lie in the world on me. I want the both of us to take a lie detectors test together. I entered into an agreement to lease a 60 inch RCA TV. After a few days I noticed that I couldn't unlock the settings menu. I asked them if they could bring me another RCA TV. I made it clear that I wanted the model I purchased. A 120Hz tv. They bought me a LG. 60hz tv. I was promised a RCA TV asap. I have yet to get one. They keep trying to convince me that the LG is an upgrade. How can a 60hz tv be an upgrade from a 120hz tv? I didn't purchase a LG nor do I want one. I was told that the LG is a 120hz. Even though it has 60hz. on the shell of it. Inside the manual and everywhere else you can see! The manager went as far as to tell me that sometimes "they" do that. That's like putting a Chevy emblem on a Cadillac! Who does that.
It's been almost a month and for the majority of it I have been stuck with a TV I don't want nor did I buy. Every time I inquire about my TV I get the runaround. Is this legal? Since they claimed that the LG is an upgrade I suggested they give me the 65" RCA. in stock and costs the same as the 60". But that wasn't possible. What happened to the customer is always right. Or when did the "Jamaican" switch become legal. Why can't I just get what I paid for? On top of returning the RCA I feel as if I should be compensated for my inconvenience. A fair business operator would I'm sure!!

Well still as of now the dryer still has not even been worked on and now it is May 20. So then on May 17 my washer took a couple poop, poop and come to find out it's a pumper motor.
Well they bring out a loaner and the guy started it and left. And it flooded my house because he did not put a drain hose on after four loads of laundry went through. I don't think it could get any worse than this in less than a month. I have five kids and several patients. And at this point because of the neglect I could've lost my home in the fire. And that wasn't bad enough so it could've went up into a flood. And we had a cord that was right there for a heat lamp and I could've caught fire in the flood.

I don't even know where to start, about 6 months ago, maybe longer, my children had knocked their TV over and around the same time the wood on their bunk bed had cracked, and I was just diagnosed with cancer at that time and had my 2nd foot surgery, still fighting my lawsuit for workman's comp so I didn't know what to do. Then I saw Aarons had opened a new store in Shillington Pa on Parkside ave, so I decided to check it out and I ended up getting bunk beds for them, a tv stand, also a flat screen TV and a dell tablet for my son and I told them from the get go what my income was which is only 165.00 a week from child support until I get my lawsuit settlement in June and they said that was fine.
My monthly payment was suppose to be $40 a week or $160 a month. A few weeks after I got the furniture from them my son accidentally dropped his tablet and the screen cracked so I took it back in and they had gotten a new manager there ** and he told me even though I got the warranty it wasn't covered I was upset but it's a policy so I get in my car to leave and as soon as I pull out of the parking lot my cell phone rang. I didn't recognize the number but I answered anyway, and It just happened to be ** the manager of Aarons. He started off by telling me he has a friend not far from here maybe 10 min or so who fixes tablets and proceeded to tell me he'd love to pick me up and take me over (mind you I got remarried 4yrs ago) and he knew that because my husband came with me in the store already and made some payments for me when I was hospitalized, and he continued with the calls and inappropriate comments continued.
He must've used each one of his employees cell phones to call me from just so I'd answer and ever since then he's been blocking his number so it shows up as restricted, I answered only one of the restricted numbers and he told me that the tablet was paid off. I just needed to take continue to pay on the beds TV and TV stand and I need to keep in touch with him and then started talking inappropriate so I hung. Maybe 15 min went by and I was actually outside of my house me and my children were getting ready to leave and he comes walking up and telling him I need to answer or return calls to let them know if I'm going to miss a payment for a week and pay double the following week, and then looks at my kids and asked if they were half Puerto Rican. I said yes and he replied "oh so that means you like dark skin men huh?"
I said no my husband now is white and I quickly called Aarons to see if there was someone I could talk to and I spoke with **. I think he was another manager so I explained everything to him and also told him all about this situation. He said he'd take care of it and make sure he didn't contact me anymore. Well I guess whatever he said to him when he got back to the store made him mad and the following day ** was knocking on my door. I hid in my house till he left and he left a note on my door that said if I don't "speak" with him by the next day he will get the cops.
I told him I already spoke with ** and he said it was OK to make a double payment next week and also if there's ever a time I can't pay or if I can only make a partial payment just to call and let him know what's going on. So anyway about 4 weeks ago I was just fed up with the harassment from ** the manager so I told him to have them come pick the TV and TV stand up. I'd just keep the tablet because it was broken and they couldn't take it back and the bunk beds because I didn't want my kids to not have beds, so they sent ONE guy out to pick the stuff up.
The TV stand was huge, made of real wood. He couldn't lift it himself and this was like 2 weeks after my 3rd foot surgery and my husband was at work so I had to help him, needless to say I ended up in urgent care and the xray showed I broke one of the screws in my foot. I see my surgeon again in two days. So 4 days ago me and my husband were home and we had a knock on my door and once again it was ** the same manager so we didn't answer. I was really fed up at that point and decided I was not making any more payments so I called a different Aarons office to get ahold of the regional manager. He's supposed to be calling me today, then two days ago ** kept calling me and all the references on my application over and over so finally my husband called him on his personal cell phone and he lied and told my husband his name was ** and he had the wrong number.
So I double checked the number and it was right so I called back and he didn't answer so I left a voicemail and said "hey ** it's me. I just got home. My brother said you left a note on the door so call me back when you have time." It took one minute for him to call back. I answered and said "hi is this ** from Aarons." He said yes then I handed my phone to my husband and my husband completely went off on him and told him to "pick up the bunk beds on Friday because we are using the money we owe you to buy new beds." Then ** from Aarons said "if you don't pay by today I'll have police out there tomorrow to take it back." My husband said "fine!!! Don't come till 2 pm until I'm home from work because you're not dealing with my wife."
Well I had just gotten home from seeing my oncologist at 12:30 and Aarons was already there waiting!!!!! So I found beds for my kids but can't get them till Friday so because Aarons couldn't wait 3 days my kids are now sleeping in sleeping bags on the floor!!!!! I will never deal with them again!!!!! Had a last minute emergency that left me pretty much broke right before Christmas and although I had finished most shopping for one of my kids, the other had only asked for one thing...an Xbox One. I had no clue how to make it happen, and finally decided to try a rent to own place. Aaron's was the closest and I had a family member that had furnished her entire house over the years from them so figured it was worth a shot...needless to say, my child was thrilled Christmas morning.
Yes, overall cost is much higher than elsewhere, and there's been a few times where no one could explain why my payment was 15-20$ more than it was supposed to be (always when I paid online, never in the store) and I had a rep get really rude when I called about the controller quit working after only a month, that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. But overall I have no problems, no harassing calls as long as my payment isn't later than 3-4 days.
So anyways, just wanted to share my experience for anyone one the fence and scared off by all the bad...don't get more than you can afford in payments (be it monthly or more often), and keep current on payments and your experience will be a good one. And to everyone thinking to themselves "that's not what Christmas is about"...yes, you are right. But my daughter works hard, is a gifted student, and rarely asks for anything. This wasn't a case of spoiled kid getting more than any kid needs. Just wanted to put that out there before the trolls started.

They will not accept checks or debit cards. I had good credit but had been out of work so I decided to try their service. Do not use this service. After making payments on the account, Aaron's advised that I now owed twice the amount of the television.
They dunned my phone up to 15 times per week. They called my father and advised him that I owed hundreds of dollars to them. My father paid them $80 that was never posted to my account. I needed to keep my credit good, but I got so fed up with Aaron's that I told them to not contact me again. They continued to call my phone from early in the morning into the night.
They removed my account online so I could not make a payment and was forced to deal with them on the phone. They advised to send in the payment of close to another $400 on top of what I paid. They never sent any valid information as to how they came up with this ridiculous amount of money. If I paid the account on the 1st, they would then call back a couple of weeks later saying I owed another payment.
They have now ruined my credit. When I tried to make the payment with my credit card over the phone after I was told they would not accept my check, they also advised they would not send me any receipt or update the information with the credit bureaus. It is unfortunate that Aaron's will never get any further business from me. I would never recommend doing business with them because they are scammers. I have been with Aaron’s for almost a yr now and this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. First of all, I went in the store after signing up online for a special they were running. The employees were loud and disrespectful talking to each other as if they were home and not at work. Once I got to the store I was told they had no record of the bedroom set I wanted. So I was offered something else which I took. I was told to inspect the bed which I did to the best of my ability considering that the whole set was crammed in a corner. I set up my payment date for the 15th of each month and I paid them. This was on the 26th on the month I applied.
My furniture was delivered at 9pm the next night. Once I received I realized it wasn't the bed I ordered online or the 1 saw inside the store. My drawers had tears in them and I had a drawer that wouldn't open. I called immediately and was told that he would call the next and try to get it fixed. I called him 2 days later and I was furious. He then tells me they no longer make the bed I had so no spare parts. On top of that I was told I had to make another full payment on the 1st even though I had just paid 3 days prior and my date was set for the 1st not the 15th. I called corporate and the regional manager was very nice and he arranged to have it fixed. It got fixed so I decided to get a PS3. They gave me the most ragged console they had and there was no cord for the controller. When I asked about it I was told that she didn't think it ever had a cord which is strange because how else would I charge it?
I bought a cord with my own money and the controller was broken so I ended up buying another controller... Last week 3 drawers fell off my dresser... They are extremely unprofessional. They call me the minute they open on the 15th which makes me mad because I have until the time they close and it's always like your payment is due like I don't already know that. Then they are like "Well what's your card number?” without me even suggesting paying via card. They call and harass me so much I changed my number. Well they decided to send the goons after me but when they usually come over I'm at work but my neighbor has called me at work telling me they are beating on the door so hard it shakes her walls and also that they knock for at least 15 mins. I've come home and as a result of them beating on my door I have lost 6 glass pics off my wall...
I spoke with someone who came to my house and the manager asked to speak to me. I told him I no longer wish to deal with them and they could come pick it up 2 days later because I would be off work. We spoke on my account and all was good. Well today I get a certified letter from them telling me that they will press charges on me AFTER we talked. So I called the store and I told them if they didn't get their merchandise out of my house tonight I would be putting it by the side of the road. I've had late fees that have almost doubled the cost of the monthly bill. I'm sick of it. I don't want ANYTHING from Aaron’s. They can get it. I should charge them storage fees. But I'll update and let everyone know whether or not they came and got it or not...
Word to wise... Aaron’s employees are real nice to you on your first visit. After that it goes downhill. They are money hungry, manipulative people. Also dirty. I had to thoroughly clean the furniture because of dirt and dust. I even found the bank statement of the person who had it before tuck under the drawer of the nightstand along with food wrappers and a condom. That was very disturbing! They could have at least attempted to clean it first...I REALLY DISLIKE AARON’S!!!

My grandmother and I have both done business with Aaron's here in La Junta, Colorado. I myself have bought a $900 fridge and a $1,200 laptop - never missed a payment and paid it off in the 120 days same as cash. My Grandmother has purchased a living room set, bedroom set and now a freezer. Well when we went into the store to lease a freezer one of the workers that had given my grandmother the paperwork kept staring at me and finally he said, "You look familiar" and I responded "Well my brother, sister, mother and myself have all purchased items from the store" and then he asked who my mother was and I told him her name and he said, "Ohhh ok." I have lived with my grandmother most of my life not with my mother.
Well they delivered the freezer and my grandmother was inside and I was outside working in the yard when my grandmother called me inside. They had gone from the dining room where they placed the freezer into our living room, without even asking my grandmother for permission, and they were looking at my mother's TV that she had brought to my grandmother's after splitting up with my stepfather. Well they informed us that the TV has not been paid for and that it is considered stolen merchandise so they have to take it. My grandmother and I did not put up an argument. We let them take the TV with no problem and then after a while the police showed up and was talking to the delivery men for a few minutes and then they both left.
Well I called Aaron's after they left and I asked them if I myself could lease out the TV since I had my Netflix, Hulu and YouTube accounts already set up on it and come on it was a 60" smart TV - who wouldn't want to keep it? Well then they said they would have to wait for their regional manager to come in and clear things up before that could happen but they would call back and let me know when I could lease it so they took my name and number down. The next day I called and they said the manager was not in... about a week later I give up on getting the TV and I go in to look at different TV's. Well I see one that I like and ask the two ladies at the front desk if I can get it and they said that I would have to wait until the manager came in talk to him and then it would have to process before I could get it so again they took my name and number and I left.
The next day I called and they transferred me to the manager and he said they had to wait for the regional manager to come in and clear it up because the TV was found at our house so they could not lease me anything until then that he would be in the next day. Well I call back the day after the regional manager went in and again they transfer me to the manager and he said that they could no longer lease to me or my mother. I asked why me and he said because that's what the regional manager decided. I told him I did not even know the TV was from Aaron's - that we were told my stepdad bought it for my mother and then I asked him if I was no longer allowed to lease from their store if they were going to come and pick up the freezer that my grandmother just leased since she also lives here and he said, "Well she would have to call us and talk to us about it."
So I hung up the phone and then told my grandmother to call them and tell them to come and pick up their freezer. My grandmother was very upset. She called and told them that we have both purchased items from them before with no problems and if this is what they were going to do they could come and pick up their freezer because she no longer wants it and they told her in order for them to do that they would need more money. She informed them that she had already made first month's payment and she has only had it for about two weeks that she would not make another payment and then I could hear him tell her that if we wanted a TV she could put it under her name and she asked why I was no longer allowed to lease and then I could hear him say because I knew my mother had not paid for the TV. So I grabbed the phone.
I was very upset at that time and I said some curse words. He said not to curse at him and I told him I would curse at him if I wanted to curse at him. Well then I continued to tell him that I had no idea that the TV was from Aaron's and the last I knew was that my stepfather had purchased it for my mother and he said the two delivery men had said that I knew it wasn't paid for and also the worker I had called to ask if I could lease it said that I called to make a payment because I knew it wasn't paid for. I said "No that is not how it happened," that they came in to deliver the freezer and then walked into our living room without permission and then they told us it was from their store, it had not been paid for and it was considered stolen merchandise and they had to take it. He then continued to say with or without my grandmother's permission they were going to take the TV back that they could have had the police come first.
I told him that's how it should have happened - the police officer should have came to our door and let us know what was happening before their workers decided to walk around the house looking around when they had no business doing so without my grandmother's or my permission. He then said he did not have the cops come because my grandmother has been a good consumer so they did it out of respect for her. I told him the police came anyway afterwards they were sitting out in front of our house and then I asked, "Am I not a good customer? Did I not buy a $1,200 computer, did I not buy a $900 fridge and was I not just trying to lease a $2500 TV???"
I then told him when I called afterwards it wasn't to make a payment - it was to ask if I could lease the damn TV myself because all of my accounts were hooked to it and I liked it and they took my name and number and said they would call me back which nobody ever did. I had to keep calling your store to stay updated. He then asked me my name and I gave it to him and he said "Well the way the workers that day were making it sound was that you knew the TV was from here and it hadn't been paid for but I will call my regional manager and have him call you and we will get this cleared up today." I said thank you and hung up expecting a call... It's been four days and I have not received a call.

I've had problems with Aaron's the past couple months about my laptop that supposedly went in for repair (I was told the laptop was still under warranty, to go to the HP company and be repaired with parts but not under warranty to be replaced as new... It never went to HP...). I went back in yesterday to ask once again where the laptop was (I've been in/called about 10 times now over the course of 3 months... Repair was only suppose to take 3 weeks). Of course, the same response of "I don't know, I don't know," was repeated. I asked for the technician's number (where they "supposedly" sent it and who also had damaged a brand new screen I had bought for the laptop in the first repair/replacement which was offered to be done for free by the original Aaron's manager) so I could contact him and get the laptop back myself. They denied giving me the number since it was his "personal cell number."
Apparently this technician doesn't have a work phone/ business or work for Aaron's... It seems he has just taken it to his home and it's now stolen or broke. The actual manager of Aaron's wouldn't come out to talk to me. He sat in the back office, but now the General Sales Manager was bribing me with the option of a new laptop off the floor. They have already told me that my laptop was no longer being supported at the Aaron's business in general anymore (HP Envy DV7), and the rest of the laptops are all of lesser value and cheap ** than mine was. He still wants me to pay out the full price for my nice laptop even with the credit to completely cover one of the cheaper ones...
I'm not sure what can be done anymore... I've thought the BBB, a lawyer maybe? I've never been in a situation like this with renting company. Not to mention I have 1 1/2 payments left till it's completely paid off. Why would I want a cheaper one when I've paid so much for the one I had?

We have rented from them several times in the past. We had ok luck with them. We gave back a couch once because within a week, the pillows you lean against for back support were flat and uncomfortable, but we didn't freak out, we just gave it back. Recently our washer went out, so we went and got a new set of washer and dryer from them here in Salem, Oregon. We had them maybe 6 weeks when we started noticing small holes in the clothes, LOL, like a mouse got them! We couldn't figure it out, then we got some big holes. We narrowed it down to the washing machine (because I don't dry my shirts, I hang dry them and they had holes all in them, along with my husband's).
I called them immediately, they sent someone out that day. It was 2 of their employees, they stuck their hand inside and said their was a very bad jagged edge, so the one employee took out his knife and cut it all off. They said it should be fine. We went that weekend and purchased new work clothes for my husband and I picked up a couple of new shirts. Before we wore them, we washed them! MISTAKE. We pulled them out with holes, the size of your head! I called them immediately, they sent someone out the next business day. The manager told us that the washing machine could not have done that. We showed them the clothes, even my wet clothes. So they took it back to their shop and gave us a loaner. A repair tech fixed it, they told us he took one look at it and knew what was wrong. We got it back within a week. My husband asked the manager what they were going to do about the clothes, he said he would figure it out.
I talked to him a week or two later, I said we were fine if they just put two months of payments towards the account (since there were 30-40 items ruined). I took pictures of all of them and sent them to the manager. He said they couldn't do that, I had to file a claim and he would get the company to send me a claim form. He said he had pictures of all the items. I asked if we needed to save the clothes. He said no since he had personally seen them and had pictures. I never heard from anyone. Each month I personally go in and make my payment so I can talk to him, same story - he doesn't know why, it just takes time. Four months later, I went in and made the payment, he was out on vacation. I left a message with an employee that if we didn't get paperwork or they do something about this, that I am getting an attorney. That employee offered me one month free right then. I told him no, I would wait for the manager.
The manager got back and called and said he would have them mail it out. I got the form today. What a joke, it's from the maker of the washing machine company. On the form, it says you have to have the part that was defective (I called them, they don't have it), you have to have pictures of the destroyed items (good to go), but you also have to have the items themselves, and they will have to get a report from their repairman. Also the process will take quite some time!
I called the manager, told him. He said he would see what he could do, which means nothing! I told him that as one professional to another, they dropped the ball. We are excellent customers, always pay on time, they never call us. He said it because we are such good customers! Yet they could have just credited our account and made us feel like we were important. They don't care! I told him we won't buy from them again, they should have made it right. Two of my shirts alone were $45 each, brand new. We weren't trying to get cash, just somebody to take responsibility for the loss. If we had to replace the clothes, it would easily be 400-500.

We ordered two chairs and a couch. Never saw the couch - it was not in stock. They showed us a comparable couch for six purposes. When the furniture arrived it looked beautiful. The chairs recline electronically and one was broke. Within two days we called and let them know. We wanted it gone. The whole set was much larger than we were told and shown at the store. The fact the chair did not work when it was brand new was to me a lemon and I did not want it.
We liked the look of the furniture so despite the oversize we kept it first month. It was fine then one of the chairs he the stuffing coming out the back!!!!! We had to push it in all the time. Next the couch was flat - yes within two months that is how poor the quality is. It took some convincing from my boyfriend because he is into furniture and durability more so than me. So. A month later when I felt like I was sitting on a board I knew it was time to stop wasting money. Mind you we had to buy something used within a two month rental payment budget. The point was to keep this furniture when we rented it but due to poor quality on all three pieces we sent it back.
Now I get a bill because they say they have a minimum four month rental term? I will never pay it and I will never rent from them again and now I won't be quiet. I will spread my story and there is more about the awful customer service and unknowledgable staff. I have specific stories and the shady four month lease minimum. If you have poor quality for furniture then that should not be rented at all. That is a total scam to people that have less and are putting their life savings into renting something they think is nice. The quality of their own aaron's brand furniture which is all they sell should be looked into. Right away we had problems and by three months you would think our furniture was 5 years old.

I have made a few different furniture purchases over the years from Aaron's, both 'renting' and buying outright. No complaints with the service, it's very easy and customer friendly, overall. A couple of things to keep in mind: Furniture is flimsy and cheaply made. If you are looking for strong furniture that will last for years, this is not the place to buy from. Shelf life of Aaron's furniture is generally 2-3 years with average, everyday use. If you have children or use your furniture frequently, you'll probably be needing furniture again in 6mos to 1.5 years.
The bones (wood) on the inside of the furniture is the lightweight, flimsy kind of wood often used on pallets. The stuffing and cushions wear quickly. Every piece of Aaron's furniture I have owned have had the couch cushions break down on the back side so that the cushions constantly slide forward, leaving a gap in the back of the couch. There is often a long wait for deliveries after purchasing items at Aaron's. My shortest wait was 4 days, longest was 9. This kinda sucks when you're super excited to get your new items home and being using them.

I rented a tv from Aaron's several months ago. On January 31st, they charged my credit card without my authorization. I immediately called them because I got a notification from my credit card company. They stated that someone had set me up on automatic renewal, which I would never authorize and was a blatant lie. I had a missed call from them 2 minutes before the charge was put through. They reversed the charge, but it had caused several transactions to bounce. It took 5 days for the refund to process. I have not been able to pay this month because of that and I've been harassed by them at least twice daily.

It took us several trips to the store and back to the house to put what we wanted together. Never once did they complain or act like we were a bother. They assisted our every need and helped us put together a package that made us happy. We also ordered all new stuff. They were awesome. Everything was here fast, Furniture is of good quality. I went to Aarons to buy a Samsung tablet at Aaron's in Marksville Louisiana. And yes I went to Aarons because after going through a divorce, my credit was demolished. Just because someone has bad credit doesn't mean they are trash. So getting back to the story. I chose a Samsung Tab 10. The 90 days same as cash price was around $500 which was about normal price. But I wasn't able to buy it cash at the time so I had to pay by the month. My payments were around $75 a month for 12 months.
I'm not really mad at them because I already knew before I walked in that it would cost me more than it was worth but anyway, a $500 tablet cost me $1,100. What makes me mad is how can the government or the BBB let these companies do this to people that is a 100% mark up. That kind of sounds like price gouging? Yes I agree that if a person messes up their credit there should be some consequences but this is ridiculous! Well it was a lesson learned. Next time I will do without and save my money and buy it cash because Aaron's will never see me again. So anyone thinking of buying from Aaron's, look at the price then add up the payments and I guarantee you will be paying at least double what the item cost.

First off the Lee's Summit, Missouri location is ridiculous! They sent 2 men out to deliver my things and 1 of them stole my smart watch that was over 200 dollars. The reason why I'm 100% sure is because I had just moved my watch when they got here and then as soon as they left then it was gone. They even admitted to 1 of the guys being new. What did they do just asked, Hey did you take a watch?" (now who's going to admit to that). Don't trust them in your home especially from this location. If you want to know a name I will be more than happy to give that as well.
2nd problem they hooked up our dryer wrong and completely melted our electrical device where it won't work and messed up the electrical severely. This isn't the first time. Our landlord said they did the exact same thing to another tenant's place when hooking theirs up as well. They overcharge you and then won't do anything when they ** up. I wouldn't recommend this place to someone I even hate. This location is so horrible they steal from you and then mess your stuff up and don't even give a damn. I hope they get shut down and the person who took my stuff gets it back 10 times. You would be better off going to Rent a Center or taking a chance buying it off someone than going here.

I became late with payments on an item I was purchasing from them. They agreed that if I returned the merchandise they would not put it on my credit report - because they would have their merchandise and would be able to sell it to another customer. They refused to put it in writing and I recently found that they put it on my credit as a collection/charge off. I tried to get them to fix it through the BBB, but they refuse to adhere to the word of their company and/or its employees. I have dealt with 2 other rent-to-own places and even being late on payments, neither have done this to me.

My wife and I rented a computer from these idiots because we were starting our own business and needed it for the bookkeeping etc. We made payments for 7 months and now owe approx $200 to own it. Now that we are out of business and have had some serious family emergencies we are unable to make the payments as they want. I have offered to make partial payments in the past or told them full payment could be paid on certain dates only to have them reply with an attitude and "that's not good enough"!
Now we are out of town dealing with our family issues and our kids are at home to continue going to school and these idiots are stopping by pounding on the door like police with search warrant type pounding and looking in windows even trying to open the door!!! They are not in Aaron's vehicles and the people are not clothed in Aaron's uniforms even! How is anyone to know who these clowns are?! We don't even have a phone right now because things are so bad and so cannot call these guys but have tried to contact through email and social media all to no avail. Even told them how they are frightening the kids who are teenagers but have specific instructions not to answer the door if we are not home! They keep doing the same things! We have even told them if they do it again we have instructed the kids to call 911 if they try to open the door or bang on or peek in windows.
They can't seem to figure out that there is no one there to speak with them and have a need to try and strongarm and scare people into doing what they want. Now we have to return home when we are needed elsewhere just so I can return their crap or find a way to pay what we owe. Why wouldn't they want us to pay it off even if it was late instead of losing a customer? Sounds like they are pros at selling the same equipment 3 or 4 times for a huge profit. They would make more if they did business the right way and treated people with respect!

The chair I sat in at the Jamestown store was new with tags and made in USA. I was excited to get it. I came home to a used version of the power chair, buttons get stuck, USB ports don't work. I should of read all the reviews before going to Aarons. We had a good experience with them in the past, so I felt comfortable going back there. We ordered a living room set (sofa, loveseat, tables, & lamps). They told us that it would take a week or so before the shipment came in. We made arrangements to have our old furniture removed. Then Aaron's told us that the furniture we ordered was on backorder. We waited while sitting on our lawn chairs. When the furniture finally arrived it was damaged. Obviously, used.
I called to complain. They said they would order another set from the warehouse. That furniture arrived today and was worse than the first. Not once did the manager ask if I wanted a discount to keep the furniture or offer anything for the inconvenience. Needless to say, we are taking our business elsewhere.

We walked into the Aaron's store on a Thursday and we were the only customers but got no help. There was a lady manager on the phone that said she will be there in a minute. So a guy comes out to help doesn't know prices, clearly needs her help but she stayed in the office. So we left and went to RentaCenter. We decided to come back that Saturday and got a lovely young lady this time and met the lady manager that made excuses for her terrible customer service but we went and ordered a bed and couch.
We were suppose to get a call the following Thursday for delivery but nothing. So we called Friday and my husband talked to the same lady manager that said delivery is for Saturday. So Saturday comes, I get a call about delivering a bed, I told him not to forget couch. He had the lady manager call me and she told me the couch is now on back order. I have to wait another week for that, my husband called back and spoke to her she was extremely rude she told us to come get our money, she doesn't want to do business with us anymore.
She said they are too busy to deal with us and were understaffed. So we went in to cancel order that day and she's in there arguing with another couple. It was so disappointing, I needed that bed and couch. She knew that. I'm just glad it's all over but she shouldn't be working there. The service I was getting and everything I purchased was always in very good shape or fair condition. But I recently signed a contract to purchase a double door fridge. At first without noticing, we were really happy until we found that the door was not closing right, and that the insulation was all damaged. We reported this several times and even held payment. This went on for six month. All of the sudden we received a call that someone was coming to replace the door. He showed up New Year's eve while I was doing paper work on my laptop. Because I work out of my home, I wasn't watching him.
He installed the door, walked over to the table and asked me to sign a piece a paper. I did, he left and when my wife looked at the door, it's not fitting right and there is a big dent in the bottom of the door. We reported this and now they're telling me that because I signed this paper, they're not going to do anything about it. I'm paying $25,000.00 for this fridge and it's broken. We are not happy and we don't like them setting in front of our home with the big truck and sneaking up on us with their own private vehicles at stores harassing us. Please help me. I do have an attorney but we are waiting to hear from you. I was really hoping it wouldn't go that far.

That is when I got the iPad. Since the previous contract was for 24 month for the washer and dryer set, I was told by the manager, with his name is Antony, that he was going to change it. And so when I paid off the iPad it was sill showing a 24 month lease and he told me that he was going to have the adjuster fix it and that he was going to give me the owner's certificate. Well, I have since gotten more stuff and one of them being a Samsung washer/dryer set. Well, here the story goes....after them coming out and replacing them 3 times (twice because an employee was so large he dented the machine on two different occasions), I finally decided to go with a different brand because all of their samsungs were damaged. OK, now it sounds like a freight train running thru my house and I called and talked to 2 diff. managers (both no longer work there) and the problem still exists (mind you, all my payments are current), then I have a tv I got from them, supposed to be brand new, and when they showed up with it, there was no box or clear cover as it was a demo that was hanging in their store. SHEEZ, well after some time, the tv starting making cracking noises and I called them 10 different times to address this and no one will call me back.
Now the tv overheated and cracked and the washer/dryer set took a dump, I just hauled all the items back to the store and left them out front of their store and called and told an employee about it and now they are calling every 30 minutes for the last week (no joke). I refuse to ever talk to them again since they sold me used crap and I paid way more in payments so far (I over pay every month), that I have just wasted time and money and should have just gotten the stuff elsewhere. Place a police report and allow Aarons to know what's going on. They say you are still responsible for the tv. I said no problem. After not having the tv for 6 months I then decided what is the point of paying them when there's no insurance even though when I sign up that was something I was paying extra for.
I then stop making payments. They call and call and call. I finally answer to ask them if I'm gonna be allowed a new tv. I was informed no, not until payment is made. So I made the payment they wanted just so I can get another tv. Every time I called they put me on hold for a long time so I hang up and call again. They say the same. So now I'm mad. I decide they weren't getting anymore payments. They call and call, came by, I didn't answer. So now when I call to make arrangements after 3 years later, they say I got a warrant for my arrest. I was informed that at the 3 month of not making a payment they would pick up the item. Not a problem. I also made the arrangement to have my bill be due the 15th of the month. The first of the very next month, which was less than 2 weeks later; I started receiving phone calls about the TV. Thinking that I must have misunderstood I went ahead and made a payment. But also clarifying that in fact it is due on the 15th. So the first of the next month comes and they started calling again. Not just 1-2 times a day, but more like 15 times. Then by the 5th of the same month they were at my door to collect the TV.
At this point my payment is not even due. The two guys who were at my door pounded on my door and was extremely rude. After proving to them and being on the phone with their office for 30 minutes, they finally admitted they were wrong. Then with the holidays and some financial issues I have been late with my payments. I have no problem paying a late fee when I'm late. Well the day after my payment was due, I received 20 phone calls in under 10 minutes. I had informed them that my payment was going to be late before it was even close to being due. If I would just pay my bill then he wouldn't have to call me like that. He is standing next to the manager while he is telling me this.
The next month was Christmas I was again late, no issue there. Like I said before, I know when I'm late and I will pay their fee. Well my payment was due and they said they are going to have to pick up my TV. When I told them no and I was told that would not happen until the third month and informed them I would pay them as soon as I could, he began to be rude and so I told him I don't appreciate this and I am done talking. I have paid cash for everything for the last 10 years and had no debt (or credit history). I purchased high dollar Samsung washer and dryer. Paid every payment ahead of time. When 3 payments were left I asked them if they had been reporting to the credit companies. Manager said they only report after it's paid off so I paid it off then and there.
Now I get my reports and there's nothing on there. I call and then go to the store and I am told that they don't report credit. That was 2 years wasted and about $2,000 more than I could have bought elsewhere. I have to blame myself I should have researched it better. I really hope this helps somebody else. I'm just sick that all the effort was for nothing. I'm almost 60 years old. Two years is a long time for someone at the end of their life. I got a call Friday saying that the truck they had was in a wreck and they could not open the door and that my bunk beds were in there. Apparently the wreck happened Wednesday and I wasn't notified until the time frame they were scheduled to be delivered. I finally had them delivered and set up yesterday, Wednesday. The boys who delivered left trash in my yard that I cleaned up. The trundle drawers underneath the bottom bunk were completely broken. They said they would replace the drawers with what they have on the floor. I was told repeatedly this is a new set. There are scuff marks all over it and scratches.
The guys who set it up asked to borrow one of my kitchen knives, dropped it on my floor and now there's a huge scratch in my new hardwood floor. I have an agreement for two years. I chose to rent so I could have it nicely reflect on my credit score, but I'm considering paying this off in March. I also had one twin mattress delivered which was supposed to be new and was told it was put on my receipt as pre-leased for "system" purposes. When I looked at the mattress, they had covered it in a bed bug proof mattress cover. We do not have bed bugs but if this mattress brings them in I will sue. I included a picture of trash they left I just found under the bed.
