Worst customer service. Was told that I should be able to link my accounts from previous state (not even weeks apart and same furniture). Come to find out that was a lie (nowhere in the contract did it say otherwise though). So at this point I don't even want the furniture Anymore (because where did all my money go?). So I schedule for them to come pick it up. Thursday after 3. Well that Thursday arrived and apparently something happened with their driver. So reschedule for the next morning. Jeremy didn't say what time in the morning just said "next morning". And because their website shows that they don't open until 10. I'm thinking I had time at WORK To get there. Nope. I get a call At 950 saying the delivery guys were there and no one answered. (Oh and to blow your minds even more there are people at the house, in the front room who would have heard the "knock" so more lies).
Now I don't know where Aaron's found these clever guys but I'm more than certain that when they pick up or drop off a product they are to call the customer to let them know that they will be there in a certain amount of time. Well that didn't happen. So it has to get rescheduled. AGAIN. Messing with everyone else's schedule and life because they don't have theirs together.

Went to Aaron's to purchase a bunk bed set for our children. The salesman quoted California law regarding the sale of mattresses and that they had to sell us mattress protectors because they couldn't sell stained bug infested mattresses should they have to recoup a loss and repo the beds. When asked where we lived, we told the salesman who then stated they didn't deliver to our area when on the previous day I seen their truck at in our area. My wife's employee has an account with the store and lives in our area. I'm a police officer and regularly see Aaron's vehicles in our area.

We got a washing machine along with other products and have had trouble from the beginning with them. First with the associate always calling my husband sweetheart, baby, etc until I called her out on how unprofessional she was. Our washing machine broke. It had blew out the sides and put a hole in my wall. I called and all I wanted was a washer that worked. Considering I paid for it for 2 years. Well after 5 plus times they sent me a "new" one in perfect condition. It looks like it was dug. There's scratches all over. I'm going to contact an attorney. I want to be compensated for my wall, time and loss of a washer and had to pay out of pocket. I'm done being nice.

I was supposed to pay my bill on 3/3/2017. I had an unexpected call from my doctor's office to go to a specialist from blood work taken the day before. I called offered to pay 100.00 I had in my pocket and bring the remaining 38.00 I owed 3/3/2017. ** said "no that will not move our computer, and we will pick it up." Washer and dryer that they were 2 mos late delivering from not having it in store. I said "yes if you won't take the payment." Went into the store, 3902 S. Salina St. Syracuse, NY. She raged on me stated she's taking no money. She is picking up the washer and dryer.

Against my advice a friend of mine LEASED with the intention of buying a cellphone and furniture from AARON. They show up weekly to badger the customer claiming they are there for a payment when no payment is due and threaten the customer with calling the police to report items stolen. I advised my friend to return everything they ever got from this company and never do business with them ever again. No matter how good the deal looks or how much you may want things from them, doing business with them is not in your best interest.
They represent they are selling or renting things with such statements as RENT TO OWN when in fact they are leasing you items at above retail price and then if you do the math they are charging you 50% interest monthly. 1/2 your payment goes for lease and the other half equity that is totally lost if you return the items. They don't take into consideration wear and tear on any item so it will always lead to an argument. And if you want their rude employees showing up at your door every Sunday to harass you, that is exactly what you will get! A class action suit would shut them down and they are very deserving of such action.

I usually deal with rent a center... but they were not open on Sundays and I needed a washing machine. Picked one out, paid more than the down payment and then found out I could not take it home with me that day! There was only one person working that day and they didn't even have a dolly to get it out the door. I had hurt my shoulder the day before and didn't want to take the chance of him and I trying it on our own. We both stood outside for awhile to see if anyone could help but no... I left without it. But... he was a really great guy! Had the washer delivered two days later... They were awesome too.
So I went to make my first payment cause my deciding factor to go through Aaron's was the fact that I could pay online. Nope they never could find my account. So after closing the store I got it from I had to drive 40 miles to make a payment. Yes... I drove that far because the first time I sent them a check I ended up calling them five weeks later to find out why they haven't cashed it yet. They never got it. I always paid more than my minimum amount. Didn't get to pay it off in the buy off time. Ran into some really hard times and had to make the min pay.
The day after the next month was due they were calling. News flash... we work too. So they thought it would be a good thing to call after 8 pm. My husband is a truck driver and had just fallen asleep for his three hour nap before hitting the road again. Not good... was told by Andy he would make a note of that. Made the payment more than what was due... then my husband had to have surgery and we had to come up with a down payment. Again Andy called the day after the payment was due. My husband was trying to sleep after his surgery... 8 that night the phone starts ringing and didn't stop until he was awake. At this point I was ready to take the washing machine back to them in pieces.
So the next day I used my bill and grocery money to just pay them off. That was also a joke because I ended up paying more than what I was told was due two months ago after paying more than my minimum payments. But I just wanted to be done with them. They are a fraud. I never had this problem with Rent-A-Center. And they had the nerve to send me a 50$ coupon with my ownership papers!!! I will NEVER do business with this company again!!! The store is located in Sayre Pa.

I've rented with Aaron's for years now. Last May when I went to make my final payment for my PS4 and 38" smart TV, I was greeted like usual. My friend was with me and was interested in dressers for her room and a 48 inch smart TV. She didn't have funds on her that day so the sales rep insisted that if I do the lease under my name I can use my "last payment" for my merchandise for her down payment. They can "waive" my last payment since I've been a long-time customer. I felt great because I was recognized as a long-term customer and I fell for it.
My friend fell behind on her payments. Now the store manager is harassing me, literally sending me pictures of threats to send me to jail for class B & C felonies. Nonstop phone calls, calling my work place, leaving notes everywhere from my car window to my garage door. It's defamation of character and I will take the store manager and Aaron's as a whole, if they don't stop with the harassing messages, to court. She knows good and well that the merchandise is not mine. I've paid $300 out of my own pocket because I was tired of the phone calls and I can't seem to reach my friend anymore.

They were good when over time I got things no they talk to me like I stupid and telling me they are taking me to court. They asked me why we ruined the queen bed and why I removed the cover sheet. I have kids I know it looks bad. I had a few things from them over time. I had to return everything was either chipped or broken. Now they're saying I'm stealing a blue-ray player I don't have. I gave to the delivery guy's and the boss never went with them to my house and my husband said he wanted it but that was not my words. I know what I did. I handed it over.
So they're trying to get us for two things. I'm on disability and ssi messed my check up for two months so it's trying to get fixed. They're calling me a liar. I told them I can pay on the first. I've missed two months and said I can fix on the first. They don't care they just want to throw a disabled person in jail. I don't know what to tell them about the blue-ray I told them come check my house. They said I supposedly sold it. I never sold in my life and I'm not stupid to sell anything. I know the agreement. I'm not dumb. If I was stealing I wouldn't answer my phone or I wouldn't bother at all. They told me I'm being recorded. I told them go head. I keep telling them I can pay the first but they want it now.

I have been paying for a couch and a love seat for a year and four months now. I asked the company to give me a contract so I can see what their policies are. The girl on the phone told me they can't send that via pdf file to my email. That I have to come to the store in person. I was not given a valid contract when I purchased my items. The men that dropped off the furniture in my house just told me to sign the device that I received it. Every month I make a payment of $96 and on time with the exception of one month. I asked for a copy of an invoice so that I can see how many payments I have left. Once again, the woman at the office told me over the phone that I have to come to their facility to get that. She can't send it via email or to my account online.
Ridiculous and bad customer service. I will not be renting from Aaron's again in the future. Poor customer service and I am not confident in the way they do their business. I will not be recommending this company to any of my friends or family. They are too overrated and want to overcharge you with interest rates even if you miss one payment because of a problem that could occur towards anyone. We are located in Jacksonville, NC

I have 2 orders I am paying on. The 1st is a set of bunk beds that have had to be repaired 4 times then replaced. The Boards fell out and injured my grandchildren. They gave me the run around and treated me like trash. I have had to have my fridge worked on the handle has come on 3 times the ice maker quit working blah blah blah. So they finally gave me a price reduction on my payoff. Still no apology. Now the fridge is leaking water the ice maker doesn't dispense and the handle is loose again. I complained to corporate due to the poor customer service I get every time I call.
Marco the manager of the store located 35 Ave Glendale Phoenix AZ has been trying to help me. I have been a challenge due to the constant issues with the product. I complained to corporate and got a call today from John the district manager. OMG what a complete and utter jerk. Will I rent again probably. If they get something I like and if I find something online and they don't have it they get it. I found a bedroom suite that I wanted. My bill was due on the 15th. I paid all but 57 of my bill & told them I will paid it on the 28th. They still called me on the 25, 26, 27. Like I said I never let payments go in the next month. I always let them know if I will be late. It to the point now. I don't want this cheap overpriced furniture. I have until Nov. 2017 to pay this rental agreement off but calling me all the time when I just spoke with them about when I can make a payment, is very stressful. I have been a long time customer of Aaron's. Typically they have been great, but however with this particular situation they weren't. I deal with the store located in Arab, AL. We got a king size bedroom set and paid on it for months. We got into a financial struggle and informed them that we needed to return the stuff. The Mgr worked with our payment a little and we tried to work with it, however things continued to get worse financially and we tried to return it again and the Mgrs and the District Mgr got an attitude with us and made us feel bad for trying to keep ourselves above water by lowering our bills. Like I said I have been a long time customer of this Aaron's, but not anymore, not after this particular incident of embarrassing us for trying to do better. I'm very grateful that they did try to work with us, but the attitudes that we got just for trying to return merchandise as opposed to waiting and having them "repo" it was unacceptable.

Regardless, there have been some bumps along the way, and I've reached out to them numerous times to speak with the manager. I NEVER GET A CALL BACK!! Long story short, I filled out a survey that was sent to me via email and expressed my disappointment. I am hoping that reaching out to corporate will give me some sort of response. My daughter and two children moved in with me to help her out. She rented a tv and stand. I had rented two bunk beds for the children. I had rented in the past for nearly 4 years. All other items had been paid, not one single late payment. After a dispute with my daughter over the new (4 week) relationship with new guy, she abruptly decided to move out. Daughter a hot head and breaks things when mad, as children will sometimes still be children. At any rate, I felt it best to have police present when she gathered her things. This was due to her kicking in 2 entry doors instead of using her key. Officer could only be present for 1 trip. The remaining items which included her tv and stand were still here. Officer suggested putting items outside front door. She agreed she would be right back to gather remaining things.
Her trip back she gathered remaining things but left tv and stand outside front door (at least I think the tv). When I looked out, she had all other things gone and only stand remained. I called local police station to see if I needed to file a report just in case it had been stolen or if maybe I needed to bring them back inside. They said no, leave them there per her agreement. Next morning, 6 minutes after local store opened, I call the manager. This store is in CLINTON, IA. Manager is DON. What a piece of work this guy is. I did a courtesy call to have him at least retrieve what was there. I told Don the circumstance, he proceeded to tell me I was lying and inform me I put HIM in a bad situation. I told him police informed me (and gave their names to him to verify story) to leave them there and my daughter said if I touched them she would have me arrested for theft.
I tried to do the right thing. Still do not know if daughter took 55" tv or whether she claims it stolen. All I know is the stand is all that remained. It Sat outside front door in very cold weather for 2 days before they showed up to get it. I had even called their customer service hotline and to this date have not been called back. In the process of dealing with this manager, he informs me I need to return my merchandise as well (which was paid well in advance), before someone "steals it out of my house". When I inquired about the advance payment I had made and I wanted refunded for it... WELL... Now the trouble starts. They do NOT do refunds. WHAT!!! You tell me I have to return items I have paid in advance for, I do, and now you can't give me back the money I paid in advance. What the heck!! Bad thing is, I truly enjoy the other PROFESSIONAL members of their staff. THIS manager is a JOKE...

I ordered furniture online with the promotion of having the first payment be only $25 for the first 30 days. This was a bait and switch technique and my furniture wasn't delivered for 2 weeks and less than 3 weeks of having the furniture, I was already being harassed by phone to make a payment because it was late. I only had the furniture 2 weeks when the next payment came due, not the 30 days that was promised online. Upon the phone call that I got, Tom from Aaron's here in Van Buren, Arkansas escalated the situation, never apologized or tried to make it right and said if I changed my payment to match when I had received the furniture, that I would have to make a payment and a half on the 1st which basically would not be any kind of deal at all because that would be full price from the time that the furniture was actually delivered.
Also he argued, cut me off, did not listen and confused to say "Well you got it started for $25 didn't you", as if that even happened and if they had honored the original first month for $25, still does not give them the right to treat anyone the way Tom treated me resulting in me talking to his manager about retraining Tom on customer service. Not to mention the furniture that I received was the most poor quality furniture I had ever seen and poorly put together. I deal with a headboard swaying back and forth every night knocking into my wall and knocking stuff off of it with just getting into the bed or barely shifting around. I am the only one in the bed.
I was on the fence of keeping the furniture because of the poor quality but now that I find that I was lied to and bait and switched as well as argued with and treated poorly over the phone, I will now be returning the furniture come income tax and buying my furniture at Sofa City where I have bought way better quality furniture and have had an extremely positive experience with buying furniture with in the past.

He told me he would give me until the 1st of each month to pay my bill before I would have to pay a late fee. Meanwhile my mother went in to rent a TV. She paid 4 months in advance which he shouldn't have done and decided that she wasn't going to pay triple for TV that she could just go out and buy so she had them come pick the TV she had from them which left a balance on her account. They refuse to at first refund her money or put it towards my account. What invention they did do so they put the her balance towards my bill but I've been getting harassed ever since. My mother was very pissed when she was in the store and she's a beast and she went off on them but that's no reason for them to harass me because my mother is a beast.
I called in today to make my payment. Mike got on the phone and wanted to chastise me and talk to me like I was a child. He's denying the fact that the agreement that we originally made was my bill will be due on the 1st. Now they're making me pay late fees. I hate that I ever dealt with Aaron's and I would never recommend them to anybody else and I would never deal with them no more. If you deal with Aaron's you're making a big mistake.

Next it is a personal business matter not to say all kind of things to other members of your family or friends. If Aaron does this to me how many more do they talk about.
Class action lawsuit is what I am thinking about. Maybe they need to be closed down. I think Aaron in DeLand, FL. 32724 needs to have a whole new crew. You tell them to come and get it and no one shows up and then they call everyone of your friends, family member, old co workers, tell this kind of crap. Sorry but they need to be closed for getting paid four times the amount for a washer or tv when you can buy from Lowe’s and Walmart cheaper.

My husband and I rented a chair from Aaron's and that was the worst mistake we had ever made. First off we told them that we needed the payments on the first Friday of the month. Considering that is when both of us get paid. On the first they would be blowing up our phones while we are at work. Then the chair broke so they came and got it to "fix" it. They had it two weeks longer than they told us and wouldn't let us know what was going on with it. Needless to say the chair came back in worse condition that we sent it in. When we received the chair back from being repaired if we would have sat in it the back would have broke off. So we called them again. They came to "fix" the chair at our house. They didn't do anything to the chair.
When my husband called them outraged that our chair still wasn't fixed they told him that I told the repairman that the chair was fine and it didn't need fixed. My husband told them we no longer wanted the chair. They were supposed to come pick it up this morning between 10-3. When I called them this morning to see if they had an estimated time because we had a family emergency happening they proceeded to tell me that they weren't supposed to be there until between 3-7. She said "but let me call them and see if I can get them out there right at three and I will call you back." 2 hours went by and I still hadn't heard anything so I called them back.
A different lady answered the phone and she told me that my appointment for them to pick it up today was cancelled. I told her "no it wasn't. I want this chair out of my house today because all you guys do is lie." She said "I will have someone out to your house as close to three as I can." It isn't now 5 and they still haven't been here. So much for being with my family today when we have a family emergency going on. They don't care about customers. Customers are just another number to them. I will never rent anything from Aaron again. This is the store in Mount Pleasant Michigan.

I have been an Aaron's customer off and on for years. I made the fatal mistake of renting from the Aaron's in Johnson City, TN. The manager, Sabrina is a liar and she is very manipulative. She is nice til she has you reeled in, kinda like a fish. Once you are hooked, she lies and manipulates you to the max. We were going on vacation and sat a bedroom suite out for them to pick up. We called multiple times to get them to pick it up. Sabrina said "we won't pick it up until you make a payment on the washer and dryer" but told the district manager, Brandon, that she didn't have anyone to pick it up that day. No big deal, Tuesday was another nice sunny day and again she wouldn't allow anyone to pick it up til I made a payment on the washer and dryer, which I did on Thursday.
When we called them on Monday, we spoke to a nice gentleman named Jeremy. He told us Sabrina said she would not pick up the bedroom suite until we made the w/d payment but the next time we talked to him, he said "I told you we had no one to pick it up on Monday", to which I replied "No one on Tuesday or Wednesday either?" They claim they went out on Friday and the entire bedroom suite was ruined, which I know was not the case because we covered the dresser and nightstands. They are again just trying to be manipulative. They also refused to give me a receipt number for this review and said that the district manager would be handling my account from now on.
I can't believe how this store does business and maintains customers. I didn't believe it to be unreasonable to try to return merchandise but a payment on another account was held over my head and they intentionally waited til after the rain from Hermine had wet parts of the bedroom suite. Please people, this is a true representation of this store and I am just trying to let you know to avoid it. I tried to transfer my account to Kingsport and was refused that as well. Sabrina really knows how to play the system and lie her way out of deals. Not to mention, this store has been through about 4 managers since I got this bedroom suite and that should have clued me in that there was something wrong in Johnson City.
I will not deal with this store again, will make payments online to keep away from the evil that works within this place. I contacted corporate the day they refused to pick up the furniture which was 8/29 and today they just got back with me on my complaint. I guess they do this underhanded stunt to try to make people pay for the merchandise that they choose to not pick up. I am not complaining about the price... this is a complaint against the employees that fall prey under Sabrina. By the way, the only reason I was returning the furniture was because the bed was queen and I needed a King size. The store number is C1322.

Aaron Rental tells you they will report to the credit agencies if you pay off an item and will show as good credit. When Aaron reports it does nothing for your credit because they do not report the payment history. In fact it can hurt your credit either way by not paying or paying it off only hurts your credit more if you do not pay and they have to collect their merchandise. If you pay off your account they turn it in as a closed account with no history which in turn gives you a few points off your credit report so be careful if you chose to rent items to own. Please be aware that paying for your items on time does not help your credit but if you do not make your payments it will hurt 50 times more than a few points off your credit.

Anyway I financed a washer and dryer, riding mower, big screen television, a refrigerator and a laptop. I've been a good customer, but here lately they want to call me before my payments due, passed me off! I have everything paid off but the television two more payments and I am done with them, the riding mower constantly breaks down, but the biggest issues is the Amana washer dryer set.
I don't pay much attention to the contracts, but they charged me $1,900, for a used set, you can buy a new set for $450! But, I hate the lid locking feature! And when they gave me a replacement washer, it was junk & they tell me my warranty ran out! So I said screw this! I got on eBay & found a Maytag washer dryer set for $40 - they are 28 years old and work like new!!!
My wife loves & missed being able to raise the lid, let whites soak & change the settings etc... yall know what I'm talking about! So I called a guy who bought ANY washer not working for $20. I called him, he came out & he wouldn't buy it, lid locked, new kind! Only thing wrong was, when it spun, the tub banging, out of control. I replaced everything, eas in perfect balance, etc... The Maytag is made right! No plastic tub & springs, but metal tub & gears, old school!I Was crazy to get involved with these people, but I had bad credit and I've learned my lesson! I can now buy stuff at a low interest rate, I have decent credit now & I don't have to pay triple for stuff! Save your money, buy good used products, sometimes they have warranties on them, but I can fix about anything and I was so stupid the phone with the rent to own place!

Absolute Zero Stars. I live with some relatives that bought and rented Aaron's furniture. Aaron's is a fraud. They act all good the first month then it immediately goes downhill from there. The fully paid for washer and dryer after a month immediately started having problems. Clothes don't fully wash or spin and it stalls making an awful screeching noises. The dryer takes two to three times to dry anything and I'm talking about medium to small loads here. Then there's the rented furniture they were charging for items never received for months before fixing the problem. Then they were told that we wanted to give up everything but the couch because it's the only object we could afford and they refused to take it back and we were charged for unwanted furniture and late fees.
Now they are going to basically steal the furniture knowing we will pay them by Thursday this week so they decided to come take it knowing we want it the couch not the other furniture. Basically don't buy anything or rent anything from Aaron's. It's not worth the price they're asking for their falsely believed to be working electronics to the furniture hiding broken insides/springs. Honestly it be cheaper and longer lasting to buy from Walmart or small companies because they can't afford to cheat or lie to. On October 6, 2006 I closed on my first home. I went to the local Aaron's and I asked for the manager. I let the manager know that I needed EVERYTHING for my house! I needed a living room set, a kitchen set, a queen bedroom set for me, a twin bedroom set for my daughter, a bunk bed set for my boys, a washer & dryer set, a stove and a fridge.
I also told the manager that I didn't want anything they had on their showroom floor. I also let him know I wasn't renting but buying. He led me into his office and allowed me to look on his computer at the furniture they had in their warehouse. Everything I ordered came from the warehouse. But it would take days for them to get it in so they offered to give me loaner stuff til MY stuff came in. I gave them $750 that same day I ordered my stuff. Then when the delivery truck came with the loaner stuff, I wrote Aaron's a check for $2,500.
As the months passed by, I kept in touch with them asking about MY stuff that I ordered. The first thing I got that I did order was MY bedroom set. Then my boys beds. Then my kitchen set. Then my living room set... well the couch & loveseat. The chaise was missing. Then the washer & dryer set. I never got my daughter's bedroom set. And I was paying them! So the deliveries of MY stuff were from October 2006 'til May 2007. It took months!!
In June 2007, they all of a sudden started asking me for money! And I told them I'm still waiting on stuff I ordered!! Next thing I know, they taking me to court. But by the time the court date came, they already had their stuff! On July 11, 2007... I was home alone and I was naked. I heard someone at my front door. By the time I made it to the living room, the Sheriff along with Aaron's delivery men, were entering MY home!!! They had hired a locksmith to pick my lock and they came into MY home!!!
I asked the delivery men what's going on?? They were the same ones who delivered everything else to my home. One of them said to me, and I quote: "I don't know what's going on! I know for a fact you paid for your stuff. I don't know what they did with your money!" I went to the court date and I had receipts and statements from my bank saying that I had been making payments. I've been a very frequent customer of Aarons for 10+ years. They have always been extremely nice to me. Well I guess this past year the store I go to changed management, because now apparently I'm a number and not a customer. I got home yesterday and the Aarons truck was outside of my house. So I confront the man and he ask for my grandmother who is not at the house. So I tell him that she's not home and he goes off and says that I need to pay for my grandmother's product or he's going to take it. I found it very offensive that he's going to try to take my money for something that isn't even mine. That's like going into a bank and demanding money out of someone else account.
So after I pay my stuff off I will NEVER go back to Aarons. They must get customer complaints a lot because their web page for complaints doesn't work. It just throws you through a loop. Oh here's some justice done to that guy. You want to know how I got out of paying. I told him I'll see what I could do, opened the front door to the house, and locked it and went on with my day. That guy was standing outside for about 2 hours knocking. Ohh was that fun. Looks like I got the last laugh with these jerks.
Updated on 9/10/2016: Well my last issue with Aaron's never did get resolved and now a new issue has arrived with this bunch in Johnson City, TN. Well we were paying on a fridge on the payments were almost at a end. Last month we were prepared to pay the full payoff amount so we could be done with them. They would not allow us to do that. So this month comes and we are 10 days late cause we have to live check by check week by week. So we didn't have the whole 90 dollars to pay it then so we offered 80 dollars. Ten dollars less and they would not take it.
I'm way beyond mad. My last issue was addressed with "we will call you within 48 hours to talk about this." Never happened. I talked to the manager Sid and he didn't care too much either. I can never get a hold of corporate office or a GM. This is my grandmother's account for this fridge not mine. She's over 80 and the stress that Aaron's is giving her is very upsetting. So I'm guessing if I don't hear back which I'm sure I won't I'll be contacting Better Business Bureau. The stuff Aaron's does is unethical business practices.

I paid my house off today and for a gift my mom took me to Aaron's to buy me new furniture as a gift and it was to be delivered the day I paid the last payment. Well I fell in love with this nice dark brownish gray set that was on their floor right up front by the window. So yesterday they was delivered. I was so excited 'cause I had a big day to celebrate the paying off of my home. So my child whom has health issues was born with low immunities and allergic to everything from detergents, soaps, foods, meds, bites. Ex. he was sitting on the sofa and was starting to get hives. I thought from maybe the stain guard on the furniture. So I put a white sheet down on the chair and had him sit there after giving him **.
Well my child kept getting worse more hives (that I thought they was hives). Turned out to be bugs. They was crawling all over the white sheet I put on the chair. Not knowing what these bugs were I took a pic and Google it. Lo and behold they was bed bugs. They was all infested thru the sofa and chair. My mom whom has been a customer with this Aaron's for years called and told the GM that they was loaded with bedbugs and to come get the said infested furniture. We didn't want it. He stated that those came right off the show room floor so he thought they came from the store, insinuating that they came from me in not so many words.
Well I called to ask when I could expect a bug guy to come spray. The GM informed me that they wasn't responsible and that the said furniture hasn't been in my home long. I said 1 min is too long to have this in my house to infest my home. He said it hasn't been long enough. It's only been here for a couple hours. So I hung up with him, took my son to a friend's house to protect my child from further torture and then I sat outside almost in tears.
So I called the main office in Georgia to inform them about my situation and how I was treated. The lady was extremely nice and said I shouldn't had been treated that way and to go take pic of the issue to send them into the main office. I took said pic and went back outside 'cause I couldn't stomach seeing this in my home I just paid off. So as I sat outside for 3 hours waiting for them to show to get them I called again and some other gentleman answers the phone and yes I was mad as a hornet by now demanding why they wasn't here yet. He told me there was nothing going he can do to make the guys get here faster to get the furniture. I restated I also want my home exterminated. He told me that he can't hurry up and fix this issue and that he had a showroom full of customers.
I screamed at him and said, "You need to let everyone know whom was getting furniture from them that they're infested with bedbugs." He hung up on me. 20 or so min later the truck came. I brought the men in my home that delivered them the infestation and he was shocked. Well they loaded up the sofa on the lift and was getting ready to leave when I asked why they was just strapping the sofa to the lift and not putting it in the truck and that they was forgetting the chair. He then explained that he was told just the sofa. I brought him back in and showed him they was on the chair too so they loaded it up strapping it on top of the sofa to the lift. Well my other son said, "Why are you not putting them in the truck," and he said, "'Cause the boss don't want them inside the truck so it don't infest the truck and other furniture." When I heard this is was livid. I said, "Oh but it's okay for them to sit in my home for almost 5 hours infesting my home."
Okay fine I'm done. I took more pic of the driving off with them on the back on the lift. On Monday I'm calling the health department. I'm calling the local news and my attorney. Every bit of furniture that was in that truck when they delivered it was exposed and they're not going to let the other customers know. I'm so very disappointed, dissatisfied, disgusted, and over all sick to my stomach over this... Please everyone really consider the health and epidemic from this store.

8 weeks ago I decided to lease a living room set from Aaron's because I am a single mom starting over. Needless to say the least Aaron's is costing me more now than what it would have cost me to buy a couch outright brand new. The day the couch got here we started getting bit but didn't think anything about it until I found a big bedbug on my daughters blanket that had just come out of the dryer. After looking around I found a lot more plus eggs. I called Aaron's the next day and they got Orkin out here to look. Sure enough the couch was infested. He didn't find anything else on the beds thank god. He said the couch is the source of the issue. And also put that in his report. However when he sent in the paper work to his Corp office for them to send to Aaron's Corp office they claim his report said nothing about the couch being the problem. (Imagine that) When I asked for a copy of the work order they say no.
Now the bugs have spread throughout my whole house including our beds. And Aaron's is still not taking blame. And demand my payment which they won't get. I told them to come get their infested couch and they refuse as it's damaged. After looking at all these bedbug reviews I can't say I'm surprised. I will be personally filing a lawsuit to cover all of our medical bills as we were ate up to the point we looked like we were laying in a fire ant hill. And for all the personal belongings that were infested. I'll never do business with this company again. And will continue to spread the word on Facebook and verbal.

When dealing with these people we got very little results at last. We hit a rough patch here lately. They worked well with us at first but now they aren't wanting to work with us to good. If it weren't for the rough patch we have hit we would have needed it downed in the first place but after paying what they wanted for the month we have been getting harassed & having them calling & texting several times a day. We don't have much left til it's paid off but I will pay them for August when I get paid. They want twice the amount in which they agreed they would take for a month. With that said, I will never go thru this company again. The stuff they sell are triple the amount that you would pay for it at Walmart or other places.

Aaron's sold me a living room set and the sectional was bedbug infested. My leasing office where I rent required that I pay $700 for an exterminator and if I didn't they could no longer accept my rent and I would have to move. I forward the documents to Aaron's and they refuse to rectify this problem but continue to harass me about a payment on a sectional that we were bitten by bedbugs on. The bedbugs were in our beds, we had to leave or townhouse because of the bedbugs and stay with friends and family until the extermination of the bedbugs. My kids were bitten and became ill from this. Something needs to be done about this.

I have been a customer of Aaron's for 4 years now, and I have been treated with respect and love every time I go into the store. Now to the person who claim that the store personnel said they would call the sheriff if you didn't pay your bill is totally wrong. The sheriff cannot do anything about you not paying your bill. What they must do is file a claim in court against you. You must be served and if you don't appear in court it is considered a judgement against you. Then the company can go after your other assets to pay what you owe by garnishing your checks if you work or put a lien on your house if you own one or on your car.
I think you folks in Tennessee are afraid of the sheriff cause I really wish they would call the sheriff here in California because they would tell them sorry that is a civil matter not criminal and they would not come out. All they have to do is pick up the merchandise. And if you cannot afford the rental rates don't rent from them. You accepted the terms when you signed the contract and when there is a problem you want to complain about the prices. Well don't rent, Save your money until you can pay cash or do without. That's what most people do when they cannot afford something.
I live in San Bernardino California and I love the store I am dealing with. As a matter of fact I have four current contracts with them and they respect me one hundred percent. All you have to do is communicate with the people in the store. If you don't it looks like you are running from them. Just woman up or man up and take care of your business. Love you Aaron's.

I have been a long time customer of Aaron's. After retiring from the military and not finding a job for many months, I went thru some tough times and scarred my credit. I became an Aaron's customer in 2007 in Montgomery, Alabama because they simply made it easy. I know their stuff is way overpriced, but when you don't have great credit and have to use rental or leasing companies, in my opinion Aaron's is the best. I stayed a customer after retiring and moving to Austin, Texas. Once again, they just made it easy. If something broke, they gave me a loaner or another item like it. If I didn't like it, then I could take the item back. No harm no foul. I always considered the extra money paid out as a convenience fee which worked for me.
I moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2011 and had my account transferred from Austin, Texas down to the Selma, Texas store which is just north of Loop 1604 near Randolph AFB. I have purchased many items from this Aaron's location getting to know the General Managers and the sales staff. They used to joke about my file being so thick when I would come in, but they always made me feel like a high roller.
Today, July 22, 2016 I contacted Aaron's at Selma, Texas because I was running short on cash due to many things going wrong at a out of town wedding last weekend, costing me money I didn't expect. I contacted the store to ask if I could give them my debit card so they could run it for my 15th payments next Friday, which is my next payday. I was told I couldn't do that because it was against Aaron's policy. I explained to the gentleman that I had been doing it for many years naming the past three account representatives that allowed me to do it and the current General Manager's name. He put me on the phone with Mitchell who informed me he was the Collections Manager. He stated that it was against Aaron's policy and it couldn't be done. I was very displeased with the tone of his voice because once again, this guy had only been there for 2 days and he didn't know me and I felt like a number again, not a person.
I was already irritated at this point because they had called one of my references 3 days before because I hadn't called them or made a payment. This is my problem with the collections tactics. References should only be contacted if and when the number that you have given them does not work. They don't do that. They call your references because they know it is a way to embarrass you and skirt the law with your financial privacy. My account was due on July 15th. They called me twice leaving me a voicemail, but unfortunately I was in a class all week and couldn't answer when they call and had my share of stuff to do after class. I didn't know that the Collections Manager position had changed again and that I was starting fresh again with a whole new crew. I knew the other members well. I know Vernon the General Manager well.
If I am a few days late getting back with them they don't sweat it because I have been a customer since 2007 and have purchased many, many items from them. I pay my bills. They don't have to chase me down. However, today, I was treated like a new customer that had no integrity or history with the company. Am I to blame because Aaron's can't keep good help? I digress... So I told Mitchell that I would come see Vernon tomorrow. He said it wouldn't matter that he is the Collections Manager. I told him, "well you work for Vernon who is the General Manager and I will come talk to him." We agreed to disagree and terminated the conversation.
The bottom line is I am sick of the staff turnover in this store. I understand that Aaron's does get its share of shady customers that buy and don't pay and have to be tracked down. However, when you come across a file as thick as mine because I have bought tons of stuff and I have paid those things off. There is no reason to treat me like I am someone that hasn't established a rapport or earned the company's trust.
I sent an email to my lawyer tonight because this whole practice of calling references when I have a working number and you have my physical address to either send me a letter or come by is nothing more than a tactic to embarrass you among your family or friends to force a call back. They know why Aaron's is calling. I asked my lawyer if there is grounds here to sue Aarons for not protecting my financial privacy. I will append this later once I know the answer. Also, I will let everyone know how my meeting with Vernon, the General Manager goes tomorrow.

I called and made arrangements to make my payment at a different time than normal. They were approved. The following day, I started getting calls from other employees that worked in the same store. I called them back and was told that the person that called me last has a different system. The following day I get yet another call. This time I was at work and didn't answer it. 30 minutes later I get a text from a friend that I had used as a reference when I bought the furniture saying that they had called her. So now, if I don't answer when they call, they call my references? That is not what they are for. I have gotten a call everyday now and they are calling everyone. Including people that I have not used as references. If this is how this store is working now (they have a whole new crew) I will NEVER buy there again. I am feeling extremely harassed. And I think this is illegal anyway.

Last week I was taking my tv to be exchanged bc the LED panel went out. As I was waiting for them to bring me the cheapest display tv as an exchange I saw 2 big roaches crawl out from the display couch. Then my friends told me they have bed bugs all in the "new" mattresses from AARON Jacksonville Texas location. I just got my tv back repaired and they lost the remote. I was told it would take 2 to 3 weeks to order it and I had better be happy with that or they will come get the tv. Really! Been a customer for years. Then they charge $108 a month for 12 months for a PlayStation 4. Is this even legal???

On 6/30/2016 I leased a pre-leased living room set/a reclining chaise and a sofa. Day 1 I slept on the chaise. I woke up with bites thinking they were mosquito bites. Day 2 l slept on the chaise and I woke up with more bites on my right arm and shoulder and the back of my neck as well. I noticed tiny bugs crawling off of me when they had finished feeding off of me worthy their bellies full of my blood!!! The next day Day 3 I slept on the chaise bc I was in denial and again I awoke to nymphs crawling on my arms with bellies again full of my blood. I then googled the images and of course what do you know they were in fact bed bugs along with an adult bed bug found. When I went to capture them they scrambled hastily towards the creases of the furniture to hide until their next meal. Considered a " blood meal". I then went to the doctors and it was confirmed that they were bed bug bites.
During those days I had captured the baby bed bugs (nymphs). I squeezed them with white paper towel and I saved them. I've also during that 3-4 day course caught live ones and placed them in clear containers. I still have possession of the beg bugs. I tried to work with Aaron's to come to a common resolution for this annoyance and problem bc I did not ask for this. I expected for safe furniture for my residence. Aaron's didn't want to take responsibility. They kept trying to offer me another set!!! At this rate I do not want anything from Aaron's rental ever again!!! They refunded my first month's deposit after I had them pick up the furniture. I also threw out my previous living room set bc I had to make room for their bed bug infested merchandise. So now I have no living room set. I have multiple bites on my body. These bites itch then burn like fire literally.
The doctors gave me a prescription for the pain and itch which provides minor relief only for a moment then a side effect of drowsiness. Aaron's has asked me over and over what can they do to make me happy. When I tell them they respond with "OH NO. I REFUSE TO DO THAT!!!" Then they ask me the same question again. I then repeat myself and I get the same response from them so the communication with Aaron's rental is pointless. On the day they picked up the furniture and the chaise was stood upright one of the workers pulled the Velcro from the back of the chaise and what comes crawling out??? A bed bug.
Today I'm going to the health department and from there I'm contacting the news station and so on. People must be warned of the severity of their bed bug infestation. I will also be in the process of seeking damages in court with an attorney. This is the worst experience of my life in my home. They also tried to imply that I had a previous infestation. Where I live, management is very strict with extermination and it's done here every 6 months. Not one person in my building has bed bugs like Aaron's insisted because I did ask each neighbor if they had an infestation and their reply was no!!! I saved all evidence of live bugs, dead bugs and also the sofa was wrapped with plastic upon delivery and it remained on the side because I had up until that time used the chaise.
So on the day they came to pick up the furniture I cut the plastic wrap off of the sofa and what do I find in the plastic which they had wrapped it in upon delivery to me??? The feces of bed bugs that looks like black pepper flakes and far worse than that. Baby bed bugs (nymphs) crawling inside the plastic of the wrap on the sofa they delivered to me. I received the set from them on 6/30/2016 and they picked it up on 07/05/2016. Mind you I removed the plastic on 7/5/2016 yet Aaron's claims the bed bugs did not come from their merchandise. I have every aspect of evidence that I need and I will now proceed with court litigation to seek compensation. I can provide pictures of the bites I incurred during this 5 day experience with Aaron's Rental.
I have ALL of my evidence against them as well as a refund from Aaron's for products that I had to purchase to handle this matter from further spreading (bed bug killer spray) which right there shows evidence of guilt and liability. The receipt for the reimbursed materials was handwritten with the date, the amount and the words of description for what the reimbursement was for along with the store manager's signature. What more proof do I now need? None. If that isn't an admission of guilt because if Aaron's Rental did not cause these bed bugs to come to my residence via their merchandise then in no way, shape or form would they have reimbursed me for materials purchased by me to kill the bed bugs and their eggs I'm sure we're left behind after I had them pick up their furniture. Today, the health department then the local news station. Something must be done!!!

Customer service isn't a thing at Aaron's. It simply doesn't exist. Your complaints, if you're lucky, will receive a shrug. The norm, however, is that your complaint won't even be acknowledged. After doing research on why our brand new living room set began falling apart two months into our rental, we learned that Aaron's builds most of their furniture using shoddy manufacturers on the cheap. You are then charged astronomical interest rates that work out to be somewhere near the 200% APR range. Not only is this company scum, they will treat you like scum. Do everything you can in your power to avoid Aaron's Inc. Save your money for a few months, buy elsewhere. Look at Craigslist. Heck, rob a store before even thinking about giving this business your time or money.

Extremely dissatisfied!!! On March 12, 2016, I called to inquire about renting a lift chair for my mother who was having surgery the following Tuesday and needed the chair while recovering. On this day I spoke with a salesperson named "Candy" who told me they had a pre-leased lift chair for $69.94. I made sure to get my intentions known that the chair was needed for my mothers recovery!! We DID NOT need to keep the chair!! Candy assured me they rented on a month to month basis! I continued to check other places but later that day called back to rent the lift chair from Candy. This is where I went wrong!
On March 15, 2016, the chair was delivered. While the delivery guys were attempting to show me how the chair worked they noticed the cord to the remote had a short in it. Do you think they fixed it? Brought me a replacement? NOPE! They wiggled it and got it working then said if I had any trouble to give them a call! On the 16th it quit working! I called. They sent out the guys with some cords. WRONG CORDS! They wiggled the cords around again, got them working, told me to call if it quit! In the 19th it quit again!! Let me remind you my mother had neck surgery in the 15th and could barely move!!
I called Aaron's again. They said they had to order a remote. I told them I didn't have time to wait for a remote! I told them the reason I rented the chair was because my mother had surgery and they were told that when I rented the chair!!! They said they couldn't do anything! I asked if they had another chair. They said "no". I told them they needed to fix the problem right then, immediately! I said "I don't care if you have to go to another store and get a remote. I expect the problem to be handled today!!" She put me on hold and when she came back she told me I would have a remote that day!!
After that issue things were fine until I asked them to pick the chair up. I told them to pick it up when the pmt month was over. They came that Saturday the 15th. I later checked my credit card statement and realised they had charged me on March 12th, April 1st, and May 2nd!! That's 3 pmts and I only had the chair 2 months!! From March 15th to May 15th! When I called to question this the salesperson claimed I told them to come get the chair THAT Saturday and that they DONT rent month to month, they lease so they didn't tell me that. And the first pmt they took out was for the lease agreement! WHAT?!? These people are nothing but thieves!!

I went up to Winchester to show them what we had found after finding several more. They said they would come inspect it within a week and we never heard anything until I decided to quit paying for it. They called threatening to come get it and I told them to go ahead and then once they were there to get it the employees driving the truck threatened me again saying that they were calling the sheriff's office on me for theft. Very rude people. I did not know what bedbugs looked like until renting from them and I will never do it again! My whole house ended up infested because of their lack of communication and their irresponsibility!!! I have paid around 1100$ so far for Terminix to treat and we are still being treated!!!
I now have scars on my arms hands legs and feet from getting bit and scratching so much. My children were not even allowed to take their book bags or coats to school and had to put all their stuff in a clear plastic bag to school in the dead of winter this year! It was just a horrible experience all around. And since this they have sent me countless offers trying to lure me back but I will never go back to them!!!
All of our clothes have to stay in trash bags and every time I go do laundry I have to spend around 60$ a week. Because whenever I go I have to redry our clean clothes for at least 30 minutes on high and wash all our dirty clothes in hot water and dry on high. I had to throw away all of our bedroom furniture as well and buy brand new making sure all mattresses are left in the plastic and had to buy bedbug protectors for all our beds. Please think twice before buying any type of furniture from them! I don't even know how much more I'll have to spend to get rid of this problem!!!

Customers are usually only inspired to write a review if they have a negative experience or a perceived negative experience. I was shocked at the negative reviews towards Aaron. I've heard many people say that Aaron and similar places target the low income and bad credit population. Every business targets a particular group to gain business. People can decide for themselves whether or not to do business with Aaron. You have a choice. The total cost to just rent or rent to own is clearly stated in the contract. If the inflated price is ridiculous to you, then don't sign the contract and go somewhere else. It's in very poor taste and reflects ignorance when people complain about the cost after the contract is signed. I was thankful for the option to purchase a sectional and tv from Aaron.
Being a single parent is difficult but I manage to do ok even though my ex owes 80K in child support. However, the divorce ruined my credit and it's taking time to correct it. The staff at our local Aaron have been nice from day one. And they were clear from the beginning that my items were not new and had been previously leased. Which was ok by me because it was much cheaper. The delivery guys were pleasant and didn't mind waiting while I treated the sectional on the front porch. As a nurse, I took precautions since it was used. Common sense. And very cheap to treat. A week later I called for help with the tv. I was having trouble downloading software without the original instructions you would get in the box with a new one. The guy was super nice, looked up information for me on the internet while I was on the phone and emailed all the links to me. I was told to bring it in for a replacement if I couldn't get it working.
Several months went by and I always paid on time. One month I got behind due to being out of town for a family emergency. They have been reasonable and kind. It amazes me that people get upset when the repo man comes a knocking. What did you expect? Pay your bill. Or at the very least, keep in contact with them. Aaron called me twice a day when my bill was late until they heard back from me. Every voicemail was pleasant and asked for a return call. I was late and they had every right to call me and collect their money. After I called them a few days later to make arrangements to pay at a later date, the phone calls ceased. All it takes is communication. There are usually two sides to every story. I'm willing to bet that most consumer complaints about Aaron collection attempts are lacking the fact that the consumer is extremely behind, failing to return calls and refusing to return the items they ceased payments on.
Do I think that the cost to rent from Aaron is ridiculous? Yes, I do. But that is the price I'm having to pay for having poor credit and I will have to keep paying inflated prices and high interests until my credit improves. And, unlike some people, I read my entire contract before signing it. *Gasp! What a strange thing to do, right?* Basically, I understand hard times and I understand what it's like to struggle financially. I understand wanting a bed for the kids or a sofa or a washer/dryer, etc. What bothers me is that these items aren't free. If the cost to rent-to-own these items is too high for you then wait and purchase them later. And if you rent-to-own items that you suddenly can't pay for... Return them! Places like Aaron have high prices to compensate for the risk they take in doing business with low income, poor credit populations. They offer a service and people can choose whether or not to pay the high price.
Car loans for people with poor credit will always have a higher interest rate. Same thing... a business has to compensate for the risk. Low income/poor credit populations are more likely to default and not pay their bills. If you don't make a payment on your car loan, they will eventually come and repo the car. Aaron has every right to come get their stuff if you don't pay, even if said stuff is ridiculously over-priced. You knew this price before you signed the contract. So the fact that the items are over-priced is irrelevant. And if customers read the contract (gasp!) it clearly states that they have the right to repossess the items if you default on payments. And YOU signed acknowledging that fact.
Times are tough, folks. I get it. I've struggled for years financially being a single parent. But our society needs to stop blaming businesses for their own inability to pay, poor credit and economic hard times. If you can't pay for it, then don't get it or return it. I washed clothes at my parent's house or hit the laundry mat for years. Now I have a washer/dryer combo that is paid for. We went an entire year without living room furniture and camped out on a blow up mattress and pillows to watch tv. Sometimes you have to do without. There is difference between a want and a need. If you can't afford it then don't get it. Simple. Stop blaming others for your current situation and instead focus your energy on changing your life for the better. It is possible. I've done it. And I'm continuing to work on it.
As a single mom, I've achieved a Bachelor's degree and working on a Master's. Credit is still poor but improving. Credit is a dangerous thing. You can quickly damage good credit, but it takes years to repair it once it's ruined. Aaron offered me a great solution while trying to improve my situation. I could afford the payments, but lacked the credit to go to name brand furniture stores. They have been professional, polite, helpful and within their rights to phone me for payment. It's not their fault I was late. And because of my prompt return call and continuous communication, they've been very reasonable in working with me. I can't speak for other Aaron stores around the country... But after my experience with the Aaron store in Tallahassee, I have nothing but respect for the staff and positive things to say. I will continue to do business with them until a higher credit score gives me better options financially.

The man they were speaking of was a fireman who did repairs on the side. Waited for a week and a half and no call. Spoke to Aarons stores and again was told the same thing.
I have had my furniture now for almost 4 months and the tables I rented and the couch are broken and I have inquired about getting them fixed 4 times now and the response I get is, "Well, we aren't happy with the man who was doing it and we are looking at different avenues". So, I haven't made my payments on time, and no, this does not correct the situation. However when making an arrangement on the phone today, I was told that If I didn't make a payment that I would have charges filed on me for theft. All the while if I do make the payment I still have broken furniture, that when I make this final payment, then they are under no obligation to correct the problem that I have inquired about repeatedly. Not a good store to rent from AT ALL!!!

My rental agreement and collection of receipts reveal that Aaron's Rental has lured customers that are veterans to enjoy a discounted service only to refuse honoring the discount card that was taken from me. A television priced at $429 should be listed as $229 plus any taxes and fees somewhere in their paperwork if the $200 discount were to be included. It was not. I should also be able to expect that I can pay off the television "same as cash" within 120 days. Doubtful since nothing yet seems to indicate Aaron's operates with such integrity, according to many negative reviews. I hope to reach out to fellow veterans through forums to warn against trying to repair minor credit issues by taking advantage of Aaron's fraudulent discount offers!

My wife and I rented a dryer from Aaron's and started to have issues with it so we called to have it serviced and they came and picked it up and replaced it with a loaner. After a couple weeks they brought it back and said it was fixed but a couple months later the same issues arose again. So we called again to get it serviced but they said our warranty was up but they'd still service it anyway. They took it for servicing and then brought it back and said it was fixed but less than 2 weeks later it stopped working again. We called the store to see what could be done but they basically told us that we're screwed because our warranty was up and the last services they did was a courtesy service.
We decided to go up to the store to speak with a manager and the lady at the desk was very rude and had a very nasty attitude when we were just trying to resolve the issue. I tried contacting the corporate office to report this but didn't get an answer so I guess my family is stuck with some broke down dryer that they never really fixed.

I rent furniture after already having a bad experience with them delivering the TV I rented. Now I find out my furniture is on back order after I already had them check when I paid my money to make sure it wouldn't be on back order. Now I don't know when I will receive it and they won't give me my money back. The store told me they couldn't give my money back and customer service says the store has to give me my money back. Customer service also says that they can't do anything but file complaints. Worst company I have ever dealt with. None of them care or know their jobs. I will be letting everybody know how bad this company is and posting how bad the service was. They have took my money and lied to me. I would recommend you go anywhere but Aaron's rental.

We have been customers for Aarons for a few years. We have purchased a tv, washer and dryer and recently was looking into a new fridge. We were looking into obtaining a loan for a home and was pooling all of our credit branches for help. I do not have the best credit due to hospital bills but had been working hard to bring my score up. When I spoke to the mortgage woman she told me the only problem she was having pushing my loan through was Aaron's had only reported ONE month review of all the payments I had made to them. They had not reported my payments were on time, that my account was in good standing, and that we had paid our payments in full, nothing.
The lady suggested I call the store. When I did the manager gave me the corporate number which I called and received an automated message. After a week steady of calling I finally got ahold of a person who was just rude. I tried to explain the situation and she informed me that they do not report to the credit companies unless you mess up. So in short on time payments and good standing accounts mean nothing to this company. They are not helping your credit in the least even though at one point they boasted otherwise. If you are looking to them for any help look somewhere else. I have decided to not use this company again. It's amazing that one company can prevent someone from getting a loan to better their lives.

They offer a lease online price of $25.00 but there's a catch. You have to wait 5-7 days for the product to be delivered from their warehouse to your local store, then another however many days it takes them to deliver the product to you. Your payment schedule is fixed, meaning if you order the product on the 25th of the month, wait the 7 days plus, your next payment is due on the 15th. So basically they take your $25.00 without you having the product, then make you wait and charge you again the whole lease amount on the 15th. Total rip-off. Don't buy it.

I have been a customer of Aaron's for over 9 years. The last 8 years have been wonderful. Recently the store experienced a complete staff change. Since then, the customer service has gone downhill. I purchased a front load washer and dryer in July 2014. In January, 2016 the dryer stopped working. It would not even come on. I went in to pay my bill in January and informed them that my dryer was not working. I was told the repair manager would call me in a few days. After 3 weeks of no one returning my call, I called back. I left a message for the person that handles that department. Meanwhile on February 16, 2016, I started getting calls regarding my payment that was due on February 15, 2016. I was getting calls at least 5 times a day. I told them that I would be glad to pay for the washer, but I was not paying for a dryer that was not working. I paid 1/2 payment to pay for the washer.
Finally I was able to speak with the person in charge of repairs, who stated that she had called me several times and even said "she had spoken to me about picking up my dryer". I told her she had not spoken with me, because why would I let a broken dryer just sit. She told me that they would have to call me back to schedule a date to pick up the dryer. After I called back about two weeks later because no one was calling me, we set up a date of March 12, 2016. A month and a half had already passed since I had the broken dryer. On March 12th I called them about 5:00 p.m. because no one still had not picked up the dryer. I was told that they would be closing at 7:00 and no one was available to pick it up. I then informed them that I would be calling regional and someone arrived about 30 minutes later to pick up my dryer. They brought me a loaner, which looks like it was about 10 years old.
Since my dryer was picked up on March 12, 2016, I had never gotten a call from anyone regarding the status of my dryer. I spoke to the manager of the store on March 30 and he assured me that someone would be calling me by Friday, April 2nd. Well of course, I did not get a phone call from anyone until April 16, one day after my payment was due, asking when I would be making my payment. I asked to speak with the manager who got on the phone and told me that my dryer was indeed repaired and waiting at the store. I asked him how long it had been there and why no one had informed me that it was repaired. He placed me on hold and someone else picked up the phone and asked me again about my payment. I then hung up the phone and tried to call the home office to file a complaint, but they were closed due to it being a Saturday, so I filed a complaint on Monday.
On Monday, April 18, 2016, I again received 2 calls, but only asking about my payment. I again asked to speak with the manager and someone else came to the phone again stating that they had made several calls trying to reach me to set up delivery of my dryer (no such calls came in). He became very rude and angry and began to cut me off before I could respond to anything he said. After the phone call, I called the regional office to see if there was any record of anyone calling me to address my complaint and was told by a customer representative at the regional office that there were no notes of anyone addressing my issue or trying to contact me to resolve my issue. I am definitely terminating my business with Aaron's!

We have been paying on a TV for almost 2 years. We got a payment behind due to some financial issues. I told Aaron's this and they agreed that we could get caught up in a month or 2. The next thing I know they are knocking on the door telling my neighbor to let them in and that they are going to take the tv back. We signed an agreement redoing the lease and they still came by every month threatening to call my landlord and have her let them in (which she can't do--it is illegal). They leave numerous messages on my phone and threaten me, go to my husband's work (which is also illegal) and leave messages for him.
Then they told me they filed with the courts on me -- we were never served and one of the other employees said that they got the money for filing back because our payments were made, and they are still trying to charge me for that filing fee -- which was refunded to them. REALLY? I've tried working with them but we have already paid at least double what the tv is worth by the time you add in all of their fees, not to mention the $5 they charge you EVERY TIME you make a payment. TO AARON'S IN CLAYMONT, DELAWARE: My daughter purchased a bed from your store and it had BED BUGS and just because she decided to STOP her agreement with you (due to these pests that were now squatters in my single rancher home) no one cared to compensate her for this problem that you caused me and my family. I have spent well over $500 on a pest control service which YOU should be responsible for or at least be accountable to some extent since my now 4 month old grandbaby has been bitten several times. I have NEVER had a bedbug problem until now and what makes me even more disgusted is that you only gave my daughter an apology.
Word of mouth means everything in a business like Aaron’s. I would not recommend your location to anyone and especially after experiencing the lack of integrity from not only the workers, but the one that oversees that location. I thank you for your attention to this matter and I will continue to reflect my concerns on your website and other sites that will allow my voice to be heard. I would never want any other customers to experience the disgusting encounter with not only purchasing furniture but to include bedbugs that comes with a HIGHER PRICE than what you paid for.
Updated 5/26/2016 - It is sad when people that oversee these companies try to save face in the public eye, but they have neither integrity nor the intention to try and reconcile the problem. On this website, the (company) claimed to find out what they could do, but they neither followed up or responded accordingly. The bottom line is when you are buying anything from this store in Claymont you better investigate BEFORE YOU BUY to ensure it is a prominent store that owns up to their word in action. Ask around and do your homework on sites like this one and the better business bureau. If you do not do your homework, you might find yourself paying MORE out of your pocket then you expected. It was Thanksgiving and my son wanted to have us all over to his home for Thanksgiving dinner but had no table and chairs so I let him use my one month free with Aaron's to get a table and chairs for one month.
At the end of that month, I asked him if he wanted to keep the table and he did so I told him he needed to put everything in his name. He went to Aaron's, started the application process but I guess never completed the application process and kept the table but never paid for it. Aaron's never bothered to let me know that this table and chairs remained in my name. They never called me for a payment, never let me know it was never put in my son's name, and instead put me on collections for $800 ruining my credit.
My argument with them is that on month #1 when a payment was due it was their responsibility to let me know it was still in my name and was going to affect my credit while I still had a chance to fix it. NOT 12 MONTHS LATER WHEN I SAW A COLLECTION/WRITEOFF ON MY CREDIT REPORT! I purchased a Maytag washer from Aarons. The last week of February while doing my laundry I noticed the machine was not filling enough to even do a small load of laundry. I tried contacting the store to talk to the manager to get a repairman in to fix it. The first person that answered was a man with very poor English so I asked him to have the manager contact me. Day 2 no call from them so I called again, this time I spoke to a woman, who I think was the one who sold me the washer, but the manager was busy on the phone, again I left a message for the manager to call.
On Friday Feb. 26th I called again and was told the manager just walked out... Getting angry after several days, I told the same woman I wanted a repairman to come out to fix my machine. She told me a repairman would be out on Monday between the hours of 12 and 2:00. Now it's Monday 5 minutes to 12 and we called the store to make sure a repairman was coming, we were then told by 3:00. At 3:00 we called the store again and we were told a repairman would be here by 4:00. When the knock came on the door at 3:45 we were thrilled... But not for long. The repairman they sent was the 2 men that delivered the machine in the beginning. They were told to go out and look at it and do a half a load themselves (like we were morons and didn't know how to do a load of wash). Their answer was with the amount of water in the machine there was not enough to wash a shirt.
They left and I called the store and finally got the manager, who was very arrogant, he said they would have to take the washer and give me a loaner, but they didn't have one in the store at that time. I told him I wanted a repairman, that they do make house calls. He said that is not their policy. After a few more words such as "I would look into legal action" I hung up. I then opened a ticket and wrote to the Better Business Bureau. When I opened the ticket against Aaron the woman I spoke to gave me a phone number for the regional manager, that I had to speak to but I was told that they were only there until 5, with only 1/2 hour to go I decided to wait until the next morning to call.
Upon calling in the morning the woman said the manager would call me shortly. When the Regional manager called I was very happy until he started to speak, it seems ignorance begins at the top. I was told that as I was informed it would take at least 24 hours to do anything, but he listened and then he started that they do take the washer and give me a loaner. They then send mine out of town to be fixed. When I said I did not want it taken out he reluctantly said he would call a 3rd party repairman, but was not happy doing so. I would never buy another thing from Aaron again, and I would recommend that people be very careful when dealing with them as they have no people skills at all.

Aaron's was running a special of $25.00 for the first month and on-line set up of payments. The first $25.00 went smoothly and the set was delivered. I had to do the set up because, beyond plugging it in, the Aaron's delivery team was at a loss. However, they did help me fix an earlier mis-set up of hospital beds for which they had NO responsibility. Thumbs up for them.
The next month I received a phone call from the local store demanding to know where my payment was. I informed them that I had set it up for on-line payment and that they weren't involved. Wrong! Aaron's had set up nothing beyond the initial transfer of $25.00. So, I made payment over the phone and then went back to Aaron's on-line site to re-set up the direct payment.
Comes the next month and the local store is calling about the payment and I find, once again, that the on-line system has failed. So, I told them I'd drop off a payment. My husband went to the store and picked out a mattress and frame. When they brought everything and put it together I was not at home and when I got home to see it I realized that the foot of the bed drooped and just to keep this in mind I'm 3 months pregnant and I use to work at a Aaron's so I know how to put beds together. But being pregnant I'm not able to pick up the mattress to see if you could fix it and my husband just had hand surgery so he couldn't either. So I called them and they said there was nothing they could do and suggested I get a board to put under the mattress and maybe that would fix it. I said I paid you for a frame and if it's not going to work then come and take it back. They said, "Sorry there's nothing we can do." And being pregnant my husband wouldn't let me go to the store for fear I would go off on people and get arrested.
Well after a month of dealing with this I've had enough so I asked my husband to pick up the mattress so I could see if I could fix it. And lo and behold all it was was that they didn't space out the boards like they're suppose to. They had them all together in the middle and nothing at the foot. Seriously. Why didn't he say this before. You have 200 of my money but you can't bring me my couch?
By this point I'm upset because why didn't he express this before? I ended up not getting my couch until the next day and then it wouldn't fit through the door, not the driver's fault. He told me to come back to store and see if there was anything else. We called them and told them about the damage and the bedbugs and lice. Now they won't take the mattress back. They basically said tough **, it's our problem. We owe $150 for the mattress and they are threatening me with legal action. I told them to come get the mattress, but they won't. So l want to not pay and see if they will come get it... l so frustrated. Thank you for any help to get a decent mattress. l have paid at least $1,000 for this mattress. Aaron's Store in Clinton MD has the worst manager name Billy ever. He is unprofessional and cannot communicate or manage a store. Where did they find him? He literally went into my account and took unauthorized funds out of my checking account several times. Now I have a lot of patience, but this last time took the cake, now stated to Billy to come and pick up every last piece of furniture and get it out of my house and he failed to do so. How do you communicate with an un-experienced manager who procrastinates and lazy? I am a manager myself and we go above and beyond for flawless service. "DO NOT" go to this location in Maryland. The service there is horrible, employee laying on desk with their head down like they are sleep, uniforms looks like they dirty haven't been washed. Unexceptional service that was provided by this location.

I purchased a Dell computer from them in the late 90s and had a very nice experience. So in 2013 I decided to buy a Fridge from them. Everything went fine. Late 2014 my dryer stopped working and I went and bought one from Aarons. The month of my last payment it stopped. They finally picked it up (in the summer) and brought out a replacement (much cheaper dryer), but it got the job done. It was late (fall/the start of winter) before I got my dryer back. I had to call them and ask where is my dryer. They kept saying they were going to bring it. A Sales Associate answered the phone and said that the Manager wanted to know if I wanted to keep the one I had.
Before I said anything I counted to five. Really? You are going to ask if I want to keep a $300.00 instead of getting the $750.00 to $900.00 dryer back. REALLY!!! So finally I told the manager I needed the dryer I purchased to be at my house when I got off of work. They still dragged their tails. So I had to threaten the manager, saying I would be coming to the store. The guy delivered it late in the evening. It seemed not to be drying like it should. Called the store = no response. Called the main district office = no response. Aaron's sells to people who credit is not the best so I guess they think that they (people) will not complain. But wrong follows wrong. PEOPLE BEWARE!!! Very unprofessional Sales Associates also (that's being nice). If your credit is bad go a place where you can layaway or save up your money for like a Lowe's and Home Depot appliance sale.

I have been buying stuff from the Aarons in Jacksonville NC since about 2007. I bought a laptop from them in 2012. This laptop motherboard died every 3-4 months. I would send it back they would "fix" it and it would break again. Went round and round over this, so I decided to just get a new computer. Bought a new one in 2014 and about 6 months later the screen just goes out. I took both laptops back to them to fix.
THREE months later I get the first one back but they cant fix it so they give me a used piece of crap!!! Not only did it still have someone else's movie in it but the plastic on the back is broke. They will do NOTHING about it. Got the second one back a few weeks later and nothing!! I cant use the piece of crap they gave me because it wont connect to the internet half the time and then just lags and it's not the internet... Just had that checked. Although both me and my daughter need new laptops, I will NEVER go back to them nor will I EVER recommend ANYONE to use them!!!

I had a big problem with their competition and was in a jam. Needed a couple of beds to have in my house over the Holidays for my family that was coming over to stay with me during the Season. Not only they were very nice and prompt with their paper work, they went out of their way to get me the merchandise I needed and delivered it when they said they would. They brought it and placed it where I wanted it. Used extra care with my walls and furniture. They even brought special protection covers for both mattresses and box springs, which they placed on the items, before BRINGING them into my home.
Out of the scope of their responsibility, just to help me out, showing that they care for their clients, they CAME BACK A MONTH LATER TO MOVE ONE OF THE BEDS TO ANOTHER ROOM FOR ME, WHEN MY FAMILY WAS GONE AND I GOT RID OF THEIR COMPETITION'S BED FURNITURE! And they did all of this with a smile and a thank you! A few days before Christmas 2015, my husband let me get a new stove (old one was going bad). Delivery was set up for around four in the afternoon. They called at 11 a.m. and said they were on their way (not ready but said ok). When they got it inside Justin proceeded to hook up the power cord to the 220 stove (was not attached to stove). He sent the other helper out to get a socket set (which they did not bring one with). Husband went to garage and got his (Justin refused to use it), had a small something he was attempting to hook up the stove with. Said he had it. (NOT) Did not use it till Christmas eve. (Because of going to relatives for pre-Christmas doings.) Christmas Eve put a pan of eggs on top and put my big fresh ham in oven. Closed the oven door and saw sparks coming from the back of the stove. Husband yanked the stove away from wall and it was shooting sparks.
Lo and behold (Justin) had put the small door on backwards and the wires to the stove was real loose. Where the wire comes up through the metal whole there should have been a round clamp to hold wires still (no clamp). The negative post had welded itself to the small panel (due to contact with it). Had to pull out new stove and bring back in old one. Had to send uncooked food to my kid's house to be cooked. (Old stove oven did not work). Not how a family tradition in our house goes. Was up all night, scared and very upset that my home almost burnt down. (OLD HOUSE). Christmas day was no picnic, I had become ill and couldn't stay awake. It took two weeks to get over whatever I had. Went to talk to manager and he was all understanding, face to face said he would contact RM.
Called me back and on the phone was rude and argumentative. Said Justin said he never asked for sockets and he hooked it up properly, took video that night when it happened. Manager wouldn't even watch the videos. Gave me RM number. Called and still have not got an answer back. Going to talk to an attorney. They came out and got the stove already. After I finish paying off fridge I will never go there for anything ever again. Plan on contacting the Media as well. Manager kept saying if there was no damage to the house then there was nothing they could do to make it right. Horrible people with no heart for other humans.

I purchased a front load washer and dryer set from Aaron's. Since January 2014, I have paid on time, without incident. I went to Aaron's in November as I was needing to rewrite the account due to my own financial problem (that was due to resolve and did resolve in December). The manager "rewrote" the account and told me payments would resume as normal on December 15th. So, I had my payment in by December 15th and the next thing I know, I am receiving numerous phone calls from Aaron's. I called and the gentleman I spoke to did not seem to understand that I wasn't behind. It was like talking to a doorknob. I even signed a rewrite agreement in November. I even brought a payment in to the store at the same time the rewrite was done in November and the manager HANDED the check back to me, telling me that payments will begin in December again. So, I refused to answer and eventually blocked their number.
I was treated like a deadbeat and even my relatives were being called. I sent my January payment, on time, with a letter requesting no more phone calls. I am utterly disgusted with this business and will NOT be doing business here again. Ever. If you are in need of furniture and can't get credit, sleep on the floor and save your money. My husband and I signed a contract with an employee named **, he asked what payment date would be best for us, I then stated around the 14 or 15th of every month. So we selected a date surrounding that time frame. Well to our surprise we get a phone call one week after we paid a monthly payment, "Ma'am you are late on your payment scheduled for the 1st of every month," "Sir I'm sure there's an error. We signed our contract with you, please tell me that you remember us agreeing to the 14th of every month." "Yes ma'am but you guys came on this date. Once you make this payment we can guarantee the date from here on out." "OK sir..." "Honey can you take the payment up to Aaron's please?" "Why it's too soon. We just paid for a month," so I explained.
Well next month same phone call after the 1st. "OK well I don't understand, why this hasn't been fixed? I just spoke with you last month." "Ma'am we fixed it." "Well I can pay half this week then the remainder next. This should fix the problem?" No that next week my best friend received a call from Aaron's mostly everyone on my reference list. I know we have Fair Credit Laws in place. Exactly what makes them so special? OK, went into office. Made payment. "You guys are aware you're not suppose to contact family members according to law right?" "No problem. It won't happen again." December the 1st phone ringing off the hook, OK I'm not answering this time because you are not honoring the contract we signed. Whatever!!
The week of payment, taking a shower upstairs. Kids are home for the Holidays. My son come running "Mom!! Aaron's at the door with a metal object, something in his hand banging hard repeatedly." "OK hold on son." The girls are crying. They are scared! I rushed out, put on my clothing, walked to my front door, opened it, no one is there but my door has at least 10 noticeable dents!! Me outraged called the corporate office and spoke to the regional manager whom is more rude and uncaring. Stating "Ma'am we haven't received any complaints." In so many words myself and children are lying... Really??? "I will have the manager come take pictures of your door..." "OK well I'm not paying anything until your company fix my door."
Week goes by my references and I started to receive phone calls again. I spoke to the manager ** who stated, "I signed the contract with you and your husband!" "No you didn't. LIAR... What are you going to do about my door?" **: "We came to your residence took a picture of your door and the door next to it and they both have the same marks." "Sir not I'M pissed. You are lying and now WE'RE going to file harassment charges against you and report your company to the BBB!" One of the Pulleys holding the belt had pushed its way through the dryer barrel causing a hole in the drum. Aaron's picked up my $1800 Dryer and left me with a "Loaner" while I was still under contract with them. Aaron's says the hole was caused by how my wife used it. The photos clearly show product failure. The hole was pushed up from underneath the drum, not from inside the drum. I continued to make my Payments while being put off concerning the repairs. Upon making my last Payment and being paid in full the store manager arranged to return my repaired dryer. Upon delivery I inspected the said repaired dryer, no repairs had been made.
The delivery personnel attempted to pull a switch and run leaving my family with no working dryer. After contacting my local Law Enforcement and stopping the switch, Aaron's has left me with a $200 loaner and a broken $1800 dryer that they refuse to fix. I wish the dryer had broken in the first 5 months of my contract, Aaron's would not have been able to take advantage of myself and family. 21 July 2015 (give or take a day) I purchased a bed (not renting but bought in one payment) from AARON'S of Traverse City Michigan on South Airport Road across from the Cherry Land Center… I bought the bed frame with drawers and I knew it was used. I told the man working that I wanted a new mattress with it, one that had not been rented/used before and was told, "Not a problem we have one in the back." It was delivered and I used it a few times but the majority of the time I didn't sleep where the bed was delivered but had a bed if I needed one there. When I decided to stay in the area for a while longer than originally planned I moved.
In the process of moving I removed the mattress cover that was on the mattress when it was delivered in order to wash it and I discovered the mattress I received was NOT NEW... It was used. It even had the paperwork on it from when it was returned from the previous renter and there was a small rip in the side (approx 3 - 4 inches long). Feeling cheated I went to AARON'S and the Regional Manager was there at the store on 02 December 2015 in the afternoon "around" 430 p.m. I told him the problem. At this time I have already purchased a new mattress from a different company and it was delivered NEW.
After explaining the issue there was little care and I got the typical "you bought that 5 months ago" line and I expressed my lack of satisfaction and I was told I could have $122.00 dollars of store credit. I was also told that it would be picked up this evening and I told him that I would be awake until after midnight and anytime was OK. Still nobody has contacted me to pick up this mattress and it is almost 20 minutes after midnight. When I asked if I could receive something saying that I had $122 dollars in store credit I was told that {forgot person's name} was always here and she would know me. I asked her what happens if she were to die? And she got upset and told me I wasn't very nice. I was not trying to be rude but just being realistic.
In my world documentation is conversation and if I have nothing to show that I have $122 in store credit then how can I prove that is what I was told? I have already been LIED TO by this company once (and it looks like twice if they don't pick up this mattress tonight) so how can I trust them to honor their claim to give me store credit, even if there is nothing in their store that I need or want. Both the "District Manager" and the sales lady had very thin skin and I wasn't angry and I didn't yell or raise my voice, I simply asked a question. I was not polite and kissing their butt but I also was not rude and did not curse, yell or call names. I explained the situation and asked to speak to the manager/boss and didn't want to explain myself to any number of people only to have to explain myself again.
People die every day and the fact they were unwilling to provide me with anything in writing stating the fact that I would receive store credit was "shady" to say the least... If they don't want to return my money, I get it but don't say or promise something to a customer and then be unwilling to back it up. I believe I may have to return this mattress to the store myself, which honestly does not bother me either. I'm not sure I want any AARON employee in my residence when I am sure that I cannot trust anything that I am told from them.
Luckily I was able to pull up the purchase on my bank's website so I would know the date and cost I did pay (1 payment for everything)... $680 dollars total payment for a cheap press board bed frame (platform frame - no box spring). Was told mattress was new, but it was not. Poor customer service. Unhappy and will boycott and encourage anyone I know to boycott this establishment. Once again, DOCUMENTATION IS CONVERSATION and they were unwilling to provide any documentation so this conversation is over.

The GM at the Brandt Pike is very unprofessional and refused to refund one of the payments saying there was nothing he could do. Then when I asked for his Boss's phone number he refused and proceeded to tell me He was the boss and there was no one else to talk to. I had to call another store location where the GM at the Linden Ave. location where she helped me. The GM at Brandt Pike needs to improve his customer service skills.

This issue has been resolved. I got a call from the store manager, Marlon, and he went above and beyond in an attempt to get this TV for me. I now have the TV in my home, thanks to Marlon and his staff. I will highly recommend Aarons of Easton Pa. to all my friends.

I went online and saw a tv that I wanted and called the Aarons at South 25th Street in Easton, Pa. The person who took the order, ** said he would order it and I would have it the next week. They did deliver it on the time specified but after hooking it up and getting it ready I saw it was the wrong tv. I called the store and told them and they said they would look into it and the Manager, ** said the couldn't get it until the following week. The following week comes and I call the store and they said they are still trying to locate one even though it was available on their online flyer for their Black Friday deals.
Another few days goes by and nothing. They don't even bother to call you and let you know what is going on. I was told that the manager was looking into it and if he had to, he would go and pick up this tv himself. Long story short I called again and told they could not get this tv for me even though it was advertised on their website. This store gives you nothing but lip service. Am very disappointed and won't buy anything there again. Stay away from Aarons in Easton Pa.

The employees at this Aaron's location are rude and disrespectful! They have no concept of quality customer service. I will never again purchase from this location. I was appalled with the way the manager spoke to me regarding payment on a refrigerator that was not even 15 days past the payment due date. There is a proper way to speak to people that does not degrade or demean them, obviously that training was not provided to the employees at this location. I have file a formal complaint with the corporate offices of Aaron's and I will also file a complaint with the BBB. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this location.

Very unsatisfied with Aaron's in Uvalde, Texas. 2 times played badly with an employee at this Aaron's. I went, got a laptop that did not work properly, returned it the very next day. Claim that it was working properly, so they still took it back. Then a month later I wanted to purchased a DJ system, and was communicating with them again all week long. I mention I would go and purchase it on the weekend, when would have the time drive almost a hour from where live. I get there, and it's one that I had told them I did not want.
She said "We had been talking about this one", and I replied "NO, I describe what I wanted and you said you had one on displayed, and that you would be sure it would still be there." Make story short I am very unhappy, for them to try to sell me another DJ system, having to drive out there again for nothing, come on. Where is the customer service satisfaction? Very Poor how they handle this situation. Did not care of me walking empty handed.

I sprayed cleaned and did everything I could to get rid of them. These people are being rude. I made arrangement to pay $70 a month until it was paid off. I kept that agreement until this month of Nov. I called them and ask if I could make a double payment in Dec. I told him I still wanted them to pick this furniture up. He refused because he don't believe I got rid of them.
I am having my house treated Jan 3 just to be on safe side. He told me even if did that he would not pick up furniture. I will never rent from Aaron's again. I am not being rude to them even though they say I am right now. I rent from rent a center and I don't have any problems with them. I would not recommend Aaron's to no one. I have dealt with Aaron's for many years. It was up till today, will never do business again with them. I had a stove that was delivered, the two kids, damaged my hinge on the door, and damaged an antique organ bench. Called Manager, he came out, started making excuses for them and then had the gall to tell me that my husband was not worried about the bench when I knew he was. These two kids could not hook up the plug on the stove, didn't have the tools for it. Started to strip the screw until my husband told them to get the right tools and leave. This stove will be picked up by the end of the month, so done with this type of respect.

First they tear up my doorway bringing in the stuff through the wrong door, then instead of the $139.90 they supposed to take out every first of the month they claim they couldn't get it (all lies) then process a payment of over $209. The manager Eric says he will refund my $69 and I'm still waiting. Let them don't have my money credited to my account by Friday. When they go to access that next payment they definitely won't get nothing. These people are not professional at all. I requested a new living room set and still got a pre owned. I thought you suppose to be able to ask questions when it's something you're buying. I guess not at this store?! Well it's my first time at a rental place. How do I know what to expect?
This is sad and funny at the same time. To me it was very discomforting when walking in. I did not have a good visit at this location and I would like someone to contact me regarding this because I was very unhappy and it made me not want to ever going to another rent-to-own company ever again. It was my first and the experience I had will be my last visit. He has put me in another person that referred me to the company out because he thought I had an attitude which I feel like it doesn't matter if I have one or not. I wasn't like I had one toward him. I'm a customer and his whole demeanor was very unprofessional. For him to put us out and tell us we can go to another location was not cool and this is by my house. I pull out the unit from the wall to unplug it and I saw water all over my wood floor and it appeared to have been leaking for days.
I called the store at the airport the next day and when I got back into town they gave me another junk loaner. This refrigerator was supposed to be brand new at the time I rented in 2013. I went to the store to inform them that I bought a new refrigerator and asked could I get a refund of some of my money or a store credit. The store manager said the only thing they could do was credit me one payment. I filed a complaint with Aaron's customer service. Got a call from the district manager and he said the only thing he could do was to give me store credit with 4 payments. I spent almost $2,400 on a 20 cu ft Maytag. The foreclosure process has begun on my home. I have had to make multiple trips out of state for my divorce as it takes place 3 states away, my divorce is hopefully soon to be over. I have kept Aaron's abreast of this information. I am two months behind. I asked them if I could just return my TV and tablet (the most expensive items and items they can easily resell) and have begged them to allow me to keep my bedroom suite and my mattress, as I shall have nowhere to sleep and I am not well, and they were very rude to me and said under no circumstance could they do that, even though they were all rented separately!
I also rented a fireplace TV console, that has not worked since the day I got it, and they came and took the fireplace insert and sent it off and could not get a replacement for it, and I have continued to pay on it even though it hasn't worked! I am disgusted at the way they have treated me. They have come to my home with my children here, banging on the door so hard it has scared my children half to death, they even tried to open my door! NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM AARON'S. My fiance and I purchased a sectional sofa from Aaron's in September. We are on a tight budget, so we went with the floor model. It had some damages, but we were ok with that, since we weren't paying full price. We asked them if it had been previously owned and they stated NO! The sofa is delivered to our home. A few weeks later, my 12 year old son and I kept getting bites all over. We chalked it off as mosquito bites. A few days later, I noticed my other son (8 months old) began getting bit. I left work to rush home and inspect the entire house. I found nothing. Finally we inspected the Sofa, inside were bedbug, yes BED BUGS! I wanted to die. Not only were there love bugs, but also casings from dead bugs. We contacted Aaron's who said they will be out the next day to inspect. They never showed and never called.
So I took it upon myself to call a professional. I cannot have my children sleeping in this house, due to these bugs. The exterminator came out and searched everywhere. Found them in the couch, and on my son's crib. His bedroom is right across from the living room area (we live in a duplex). They were all over his crib skirt, and on the back of his crib. After the guy came out, he said he would be back tomorrow and treat the problem. It will be a 4 step process. Well the next morning, Aaron's FINALLY decides to show up. They inspect the coach, and take pictures. He says we will need to contact corporate and he will contact me later. He called back and told me the only thing they can do is have their guy come out in 2-4 days. Hello? I have a baby and a child with asthma, and I'm pregnant. I don't have time to wait 2-4 days.
I advised that they will be paying for the treatment, and then they can come and pick up their nasty infested sofa. They man then advised that they will not be paying for this because their sofa was inspected before delivery, which is BS. You would have noticed this. We have never had a problem with ANY BUGS in the 2 years we have lived here and now conveniently since we brought this sofa in, and they are crawling on it, it has bugs. Then he had the nerve to say, "I'll see you when you come in for the payment." This place is a joke and takes no responsibility for their problem. RUN NOW.

I am a veteran with mental issues (PTSD and MDD). It's not like I sleep well, every night and is inconceivable that this person, being the store manager, makes harassing calls. I would like to have the information to formally report this manager to Aaron's Furniture Corporate and Remedial action should be taken. Previously, he mentioned me the discontent he was with his transfer to this store. After this we will not continue our relationship with Aaron's sales and leasing. They have no appreciation or respect for their customers, long term or otherwise.

Terrible customer service. Had an issue with the fan in my laptop I was paying off from this store, so I took it back to be fixed. Long story short, they kept it for 2 months and now are trying to say my computer was damaged by cat pee, and that I was irresponsible, and didn't take care of my computer. I don't even own a ** cat. The woman who was handling my situation said my computer wasn't even in the shop despite her being the one who signed for it when it was delivered back to the store. They lost my computer and tried to embarrass me in front of other customers for a reason I don't even know. If you want to rent something, I really wouldn't recommend Aarons because all you're gonna be doing is paying ridiculously high prices each month/week for items that aren't worth it.

I actually came on here to complain about another company, but I'm quick to write a complaint but hardly ever post on a good experience. I have been dealing with Aaron’s on Spring Valley in Richardson for over a year. I have numerous furniture and household items from them and I have never had a problem. Kenny and Gilbert are great. I recently needed to get a washer and dryer since the one at my complex has been broke for almost a month and I hate going to the laundry mat. Kenny got me a set in less than 48 hrs! However something was wrong with it but Kenny had it picked up and a newer and better set to me a couple of days later. He is also very knowledgeable about all the products they sell.
When I moved here from out of state I had brought no furniture with me. When I call Kenny and Gilbert are very courteous and kind. I am almost done paying one of my loans off and when I do I might get me a big screen tv from them. I have read a lot of bad reviews about other locations but this location is A-1 in my book. I even have an Aaron’s that opened closer to me but I like the people at this location. They have always gone above and beyond and I will tell anyone that is close to Richardson that is looking to rent to own or just to lease furniture to go to this Aaron’s. They have some great people working there.

I have never had problems out of Aaron's like this before. I purchased some preleased dryer and washer and I believed they charged me for a new dryer and I ask them did they charge me right and why of course. They suppose to charged me once a month because I am disabled and they were charging me every other week. I would get it almost caught and they put more fees. They come to my door and talking about picking up all of it. They are crooks. What can I do?

A year ago I leased a PlayStation 3 bundle with a PS Move. At the time of the lease signing they didn't have a PS Move in stock and they assured me they would find one from a different location and let me know when they found one. Fast forward 13 months later and I have paid off my lease, still no PS Move. They initially gave me the runaround until I pressed the issue and finally received a PS Move. I'm still within my 60 warranty for product repair so I sent my PS3 in to get it fixed, up and running fine - it was having issues with the eye laser and the WiFi adapter. After 6 weeks of waiting I finally got "my" PlayStation 3 back. I had asked them to ensure the hard drive wasn't touched (as none of the issues required a memory wipe) to save me the hassle of having to redownload the items I had saved on the hard drive.
They call me telling me my system is finally back from the repair and lo and behold, the hard drive was completely wiped and the system isn't even mine. With the new generation systems they have failsafes to ensure an account can't be used on multiple systems to keep people from sharing purchased items for free. These are secured to a "Home" system and is registered to each one per hardware. I'm not sure what happened to my actual system, but I will never be leasing anything from this store again.

I have had the worst experience. They are so rude they don't like to help people. I have purchased three different items with them and every single one ended up being something wrong with it. So all they do is take it back and it takes about 3 to 4 weeks for me to get it back and they always charge me for the time that I didn't have it. I always say "but I didn't have it for three weeks" that answer is always "well if you purchase a car and you put it in the mechanic shop you still got to pay for it so you got to pay for the time that you didn't have it." On top of that every time I have a complaint, always hang up on your face. They never want to hear what you got to say. After I'm done paying for what I have purchased from them I will never purchase anything from them ever again. I would not recommend Aaron's to nobody. If anything I would recommend Rent-A-Center.

I purchased a NEW mattress and foundation from Aaron Rents in Pflugerville, TX over a year ago. The delivery service failed to deliver the same day as was promised. After they delivered both pieces the next day, I found a tag that was attached to the foundation that had "USED" printed on it with a date the tag was put on the foundation. The sales receipt clearly shows that I paid for a NEW foundation, NOT USED! They refused to admit any mistake was made, and refused to refund the amount paid for the foundation! I spoke with the district sales "manager" at the store about it and he said there is a no refund policy!
I then asked for the NEW foundation that I had already paid for and he said that I would have to return the other foundation before he could authorize it!!! I told him that bait and switch is illegal and I will file a formal complaint with the TX Attorney General's office. I never have received a refund or the merchandise that I had paid for. Buyer beware - avoid shopping at this business! They have expressed no apology or desire to correct any mistakes made on their part!!!

Aaron's sales and lease AKA Aaron Rents was asked by me to verify several debts they reports to my credit reports. To begin with, they reported different amounts in dollars and cents on each report, they reported different quantities of accounts to each agency and inaccurately reported dates. These accounts were open by reporting they were all open on the same month, day and year which means they allowed someone to walk in and according to their records put over 10,000 worth of merchandise on lease all in one day.
The payments they say were made were inaccurate and the length of time they say the payments were made far exceeded the length of time they say we had the accounts!!! How's that possible? I pointed all these inaccuracies out to the credit bureaus and told them that Aaron's refused to validate the debts for me as I sent a certified return receipt letter requesting validation and for them to follow the consumer reporting laws, Aaron's never responded.
Then I contacted the Georgia governor of consumer affairs and asked for their assistance and they sent Aaron's a letter and a copy to me and after 30 day I was told Aaron's ignored them as well! Be wary of this company. Because I proved their lack of assistance in this matter TransUnion and Experian quickly removed the debts but Equifax --- who I filed a complaint about also, has not removed it as of yet. Apparently Aaron's feels they are above the law. Because of their lack of concern for the consumer laws this gives this company serious red flags as far as I'm concerned. They are affecting my credit score and report and I want that last item left on my Equifax report removed.

I signed an agreement for a tv, and let the girl (Naley) know I will need the remote and manual for it. While waiting for my friend to arrive, Naley never once bothered to look for the remote, and when he arrived, we waited at least an hour, before finally, the guy who I signed the papers with got one almost immediately, which wasn't his responsibility to do. I noticed as other customers arrived, the woman stood there, chatting with a co-worker for at least 10-15 minutes, before she finally assisted the customer. Other employees were right on top of their duties.
The gentleman, Kendell, who was supposed to assist me also pretty much ignored me, unless I got his attention, and even then, he and Naley kept putting it off. No big deal that all I needed was the remote and manual, but for me to have to wait an extra hour after my friend arrived, was completely irresponsible of the 2 "customer service" reps to act. I've loved Aaron's, and have bought products from them in the past, 2 of which were taken home the same day, without any wait or problem. It is my opinion that at least one of the 2 reps (the young lady) should most definitely be let go. The only time she worked, was when the store manager was there, in the store.

I'm writing regarding an issue I had with your sectional. I received a sectional in April. A few weeks after the merchandise was in my house, we started itching but really didn't think nothing of it. Month pass on and everyone in the house has bite marks from where something has been bitten on us, so we notice little white bugs coming out the cushion on the couch. We flip it sofa over and notice it was little white bugs and some brown bugs all inside and the seat cushions and pillows on the sofa.
I went to Rent-A-Center, spoke with Christopher, the store manager. I explain my story, he said he will put in a claim. They will come out and pick up the sofa but they will spray my place first. I told him that is fine with me, all I want is a new sofa. So a week pass, no one has contacted me or said anything. I contact Christopher at the store and tell him I haven't heard anything. He said "yea they slow and never contact people back", they get on his "** nerves" and that he will contact them for me. So meanwhile I PAID Orkin to come out and look at my sofa. He did say the sofa has bugs and we need to get that sofa out my place right away. So I went back to Rent-A-Center and showed pictures of our arms and legs and receipt from Orkin. I was told by Christopher to rub alcohol over our bodies, it keeps the bugs away. Since then I had sprayed the sofa, rub alcohol of us daily.
On July 25th "terminator" from Rent-A-Center came to look at the sofa. He did see the bugs on the sofa, he asked to look in our rooms because bugs travel. He said he will let rent a center know the place need to be sprayed and they should take this sofa out. Since then I haven't heard anything from the claims department. I receive 1 letter asking me to contact them - I did. I left over 6 messages sent 3 emails, no response. So I decided to stop making payments and that's when Rent-A-Center contacted me for a payment. I'm not making payments on a sofa I can't sit on. I'm buying alcohol and spray for the sofa.
On September 12th and 13th my son woke up and wasn't able to open his eye. He was rushed to the emergency room. Not to my surprise, he was bitten by a bug. It seem the night before he fell asleep on the sofa and my older son removed him off when he seen him laying on the sofa. I then contact Christopher and told him I need this sofa to get out my house. He stated for me to throw it away. He said "I wouldn't keep the sofa in my house if those bugs was bitten my family up." I received letters from Rent-A-Center saying I need to turn in the merchandise. But when I called, I'm told by Christopher they don't want it, throw the sofa away.
I need help, I don't know what to do. I'm asked to return the merchandise. I contacted Rent-A-Center, they won't take it back. I can't keep this sofa, the bugs are still bitten us up. I NEED YOUR HELP, what should I do? The only thing I asked for is a new sofa but yet I'm getting the runaround. I now want to be released from the contract so I can get a sofa elsewhere. I find it not professional - never got a call from the claims department for their decision on the sofa. I never had a problem with Aaron's, I rented from them so many time.

My 40-inch smart TV has been unwatchable for a month due to accident that caused screen to break. My dog came into my home and jumped up onto TV stand and knocked TV off causing a crack in the middle of screen starting at very top. The TV still plays, makes a pitch but the colors blend in together and the crack covers middle of screen so you really can't see much of anything except the bottom half of the person's body. My mother called Aaron's the day after the accident and that's been a month ago and we still haven't heard from them. They want us to continue making payments on broke TV in which we plan on doing and have done so for the month of Sept but Aaron's can't back up their agreement and bring out another TV.
I just don't think it's fair or right in any way that payments are being made on broken TV and Aaron's hasn't yet brought out another one. My mother and I are standing in good faith making payments on broken TV as we should so we feel Aaron's should do the same by bringing another TV out because my mother and I already know we're having to pay for two TVs instead of one. We're going to give Aaron's 2 more days to bring out a different smart tv. If a TV isn't brought out by then my mother and I are going to get copies from the bank of payments made on TV after TV is broke and turn over to our lawyer. Maybe then we'll see some action.

Especially those of us who have spent thousands of dollars with them. Please let your friends know what kind of company they really are dealing with here and spare them the aggravation that I have suffered. It took a lot of time and patience for me to finally reach this point, but after repeated attempts to get anyone at Aaron's to show they really care, my efforts have failed and so have they as a company. I contacted the local store and spoke with a sales associate and she said that the manager would have to handle this. Manager called me back and advised me to come to the store on Wed 9/2/2015 to finish process. The manager's name is Jeff **. On 9/2, I went to the store and asked for Jeff. The sales associate gave me copies of an internal email indicating the order had been cancelled. We are now on the 10th business day and no refund has been issued.
I have attempted to contact their customer service and have been placed on a hold and then disconnected after an attempt to transfer me to a supervisor twice. I finally got the name of Jessica ** and her phone number as the person who handles the ecom orders. I have left repeated phone messages with her and no return calls. So let me say first I am on disability. I do not have credit and as a gift I wanted to get my fiance a PS4. Had I known a year later of this mess, I would never have done this - tip don't rent electronics. I found out the unit was released. Below is all the problems I have had with it and Aaron still has not given me a new console and claims now it must go to Sony (as I told them from the get go that it needed to go to Sony because of the problems per Sony themselves). I have not had a working console for a month and now they want to bill me for it in September. Kinda like making a car payment which the car is in the dealer's shop due to a recall... not fair honestly. I feel like I have been cheated, lied to and over charged and they refuse to replace it with a new system.
The lens is not reading DVDs, Blu-ray disks or games properly both freeze frequently (Checked disks in friend's console and all disks work fine in theirs but not mine). The hard drive keeps dumping data. Games were dumped, saves were dumped and finally the whole system reformatted itself on its own to factory settings. I was instructed by Sony to leave it on that screen because it might help with the diagnostics of the hard drive (Seriously, I am not joking and the tech support at Sony was even baffled as to why. The night before I was trying to play a game and it kept freezing).
Downloading games is incredibly slow. I have service electric, and it is connected via Ethernet. The modem is about 4 feet from the console. Games even played offline freeze a lot. Even downloaded games will glitch, freeze and shut down. Cloud saves do not work. They do not upload properly. I have had to use a USB flash drive to back up my data for games.
The fan after a period of time between 15 minutes to an hour starts sounding like it is grinding and is very loud like I am running a wind machine. The power issue, system will turn itself off and on and will display a solid white light then a blinking orange colored light then turns solid white. I have to unplug console, let it rest and restart the system (There are no other devices near the console but my DirecTV box which is on the other side of my TV stand. The stand is about 4 feet wide and is an open air design to prevent overheating of devices;
I spoke with Eric and Chris part of Sony tech support online for PS4 regarding issue. They feel because of the data dump, power issue and lens not reading properly and freezing even on hard drive games, that the system is failing. Also mentioned by Chris about issues with 1% of first generation consoles that were bundled with a game called "knack" that have had serious defects with the lens and hard drive (My console happens to match this description. Model number CHU-1000a is the model Sony is debating a full recall since this has been a recurrent issue for more people than just me).
The dual shock 4 controller is recalled by Sony (this is an active recall) also due to grip wearing off, buttons being unresponsive and not holding a charge. My other controller which was bought at GameStop and is about a year and a half newer does not have such issues. The console was pre-owned. The console does not have any external signs of damage. However, I am unsure as to why the console (that may have had active issues) was leased to me. Is it possible (though I have no access to this) that previous owner had same issue and that is why it was returned to the store after a month use? Once it started freezing all the time and dumping memory I decided we needed to take care of this before I pay it off.
My belief and I am sure you agree with me is why pay for something that will eventually break completely. Jared (The store manager at the time) assured me that the console worked fine even though it was not reformatted and I called and spoke with him. He told me if I had any issues with the console that he would make sure it was replaced, not sent for repairs but replaced. Since store policy has changed and he is no longer with Aaron, I have no recourse on this verbal agreement.
Sony tech support offered to have the "owner" of the ps4 send it to them and a replacement with a new console would be sent. I cannot do this because it is a lease to own console and therefore since Aaron owns the console and not me. I understand had I sent it out through their offer, that Legally that would be a breach of my lease contract on my behalf. However Per Eric Aaron could also send it to Sony on my behalf.

This location doesn't check washers, dryers or electronic equipment to make sure it's working. I purchased a 2012 front loading washer and when I tried to run the first load it was obvious the barrel was completely unattached. They kept it for a month and offered every excuse why it wasn't repaired immediately. It was old (no it wasn't), their supplier couldn't find the part, they were waiting for the part to come in (for a MONTH?). Funny how that part magically appeared when I went to the store and got in their faces about it. They also sell pre-leased mattresses without sanitizing them, as NC LAW REQUIRES. They are supposed to sanitize each and every mattress between each and every customer.
The yellow stickers on the mattress will show the date of sanitation. MINE was sanitized 7 MONTHS before I bought it. They did NOT Sanitize my mattress!! I can't even sleep on it!! If you lease/purchase a bedroom set like I did and 5 months later decide the set is just too big and you send it back but keep the mattresses, these people REFUSE to re-write the contract. They REFUSE to show you the line item as to how much each piece costs. They do this to make more $$$. They also refuse to disclose their last names (MARK, RON, SAMANTHA). Who does that?! My son, who I will say is just starting out, decided to take the coupons he received from the apartment complex where he rents an apartment and go look at getting a TV from Aaron's Rents in Albuquerque NM store number 1583. He filled out all the paperwork and they said he was approved, or so he thought. They asked for a deposit and told him they would deliver the TV the next day. By the next day, Aaron's said he wasn't approved actually and that he would not be getting the TV, with I will say payments of 141$ per month, for 24 months. I was upset with my son for going to that "loan shark" establishment in the first place. I was more upset with the store for giving him the run around and taking money from him before they had given a final approval.
The store manager, Alan, stated they would refund him the money and he would have it back within 48 hours. Well we are not 5 days later, well beyond 48 hours, and still no refund. I called the store manager, Alan, and explained that the refund still was not there, and he said "Well I don't know. It must be the bank." I told him I would get my attorney involved if I had to and he said "So what that doesn't scare us." Are you kidding me this company is a Joke, a waste to time and money. They are one step below or above a 1950's loan shark. Very Upsetting. I would never ever ever recommend anyone go there and purchase anything. The Albuquerque store is staff with undereducated individuals who definitely do not know the definition of customer service.
