I will go out of my way to do business with any other company after the way I was treated at one of your locations. I have been on contract with your company for more than 4 years and have always purchased something new as I've paid off something. I will never ever ever ever darken your door again and you can just quit getting my business altogether. I will dissuade every person I know from ever doing business with you or any of your subsidiaries as well. After 4 years of contracts and payments I had to call and request that my next payment be moved until 1/29 because my grandpa died this morning and I needed to use my money to go to his funeral. Even though I would be making a full payment at that time and I have been on contract for 4+ years and have successfully paid some items off, I was told that was not possible. I am set up for a pick up and I will NEVER return to this company if they were the last rent to own company out there. I'd rather do without than spend another dime with a company that does not value customer loyalty.

I have been with Aarons for a year. The one manager they had was fired so another store manager took over. Since then I have been have nothing but problems. I got a phone call telling me my account was past due which I just paid that month. Then when I asked how many payments I had left they told me 165 for the tv and 20 for the computer. I told them that is not possible I pay for both the tv and the computer at the same time. Both numbers should be the same. They said they would fix it in the system. They did not so I went today and asked how many payments I have. Today's was 10 for tv and 16 for computer. They are nothing but a rip off and when I told them to come get the tv and computer they refused to do it.

Couch was delivered with damaged cushion. Guarantees were made that it would be fixed. Over a year later, it is still not repaired. My daughter originally got the furniture set from Aaron's in North Richland Hills, TX. The couch was delivered with a damaged cushion. She was told by Josh (Store Mgr) that there was a new cushion on order and that it would arrive in 2 weeks. Six months and many phone calls later, it was still not repaired. My daughter was in the process of moving and decided she did not want the furniture anymore so my husband and I took over her account. I was then told by Josh that the cushion would be replaced when the furniture was picked up from her apartment and delivered to my house. This did not happen.

When I called to inquire why the repair was not made, I was told that the cushion had been ordered in the wrong color so they had to reorder and that it would be repaired in two weeks. I then informed them that one of the recliner ends was in need of repair due to it catching and not opening and closing correctly. The following week, a repair guy came out and partially fixed it. I asked him if he knew about the cushion repair. He said no but that he would look at it. I informed him of what Josh had told me about it coming in the wrong color so they had to reorder. The repair guy then tells me that it doesn't matter what color the cushion is because it slides in under the leather material.

A month later, when they called for payment, I asked again about the cushion. I was told it still had not come in but that it would be there in 2 weeks. A month later, they again called for payment and I again asked about the cushion. Josh told me that he would look into it and call me back with a date for repair, this never happened. A month later, they again called for payment. I refused until repair was made. I was told it would be 2 weeks. Again, never it happened. A month later I get a call from someone new wanting to collect payment, I then tell her that I will not be making a payment until repairs are made and that this game is getting really old. She then asks me to explain from the beginning what has been going on (because there were no notes on the account and no repair order placed) and that she is in town from Corporate to assist for that week. I explain everything and she says that she will personally handle things and call me back with an update.

Two days later she called to inform me that she had personally ordered the cushion and that it would be repaired in 2 weeks. Again, it never happened and the store stopped calling for payment. My husband and I then decided that we would visit our local Irving store for a new TV. While there we were told that we could only be approved if our other account was up to date. I then called the other store and asked to talk to Josh. I was told that he was on vacation. I made a payment (leaving only ONE partial payment left) and informed them that Josh needed to call me the following Monday to get the couch issue resolved and that I will make no other payments until it is done. We get our TV and go on about our day.

A month later I get a call from Chris (NEW Store Mgr) wanting payment. I tell Chris that there will be no more payments until repairs are made. He asks for me to fill him in as to what the issues are because there are no notes on the account and no work orders have been submitted. I once again explain everything and add to the list that the recliner is still broke and there is a hole in the center seat material that needs repair and the wood frame cracked. Chris then tells me that there are a lot of complaints left over from when Josh was in charge and that he will get everything handled.

A month later, Chris calls for payment, I refuse. A month later, Chris calls to inform me that there is still no cushion that has come in but they have a used one from another customer that they can use. I agree, repairs guys show up, it's a partial cushion and they were not told about the recliner or the hole. Chris then calls to tell me that they are going to just write off our account.

My boyfriend and I got a queen size bedroom set. When they delivered, they came early, no problem. They forgot screws so my headboard has always had a lot of movement. Whatever no big deal, they said they would come back with those screws, this was July. It's December, never came to install those screws. We were explained we had a grace period and a late fee if late. I fully understood. But if I didn't pay the day it was due they would call and call. Even if we explained payday is Friday, they would still call on a daily basis harassing me. Anyways I'm barely a month behind, with Christmas time my wallet got tighter, no excuse but I've given them whatever I have had to give them. Still harassing phone calls. They come to my door on a semi regular basis.

My boyfriend works overtime, I do not answer the door if he's not home or sleeping. Their unprofessional behavior and rudeness makes me uncomfortable. Even with full intentions to make things right and catch up fully they sent me a final demand, which explains nothing to me, and they came to my door again but wrote on the tag they couldn't accept online payment anymore but I went online and I still can. So I'll just pay and ignore them. When I can pay it off fully, I'm done with them.

I have spoken to associates and the Manager named Keith acknowledging him that my sofa has bed bugs a week ago. For several weeks we felt as if we were being bitten and couldn't see what was biting us. Our legs are covered with bites and my nerves are beyond bad! I have expressed how upsetting this has been and let Keith know that we didn't have this problem until they delivered the couch.

On 12-24-14 the couch was finally picked up, and on 12-26-14 I was told that it had no signs of what we have seen with our own eyes crawling from the couch. And not only did they try to cover it up, he then said that Orkin won't be spraying either or even come to check the rest of the house. Ever since the couch has been gone we have not been bitten, but just now at 10:15 pm on 12-26-14 I have seen two in the area where the couch was.

I have taped samples of the bug to a paper. I was told that the bugs were field roaches which is not the case. I need someone to assist me in this horrible problem. I know that I can't be the only customer with this issue and instead of co wrong up, I feel that this situation should be top priority and handled immediately! This is unacceptable and if my whole home becomes infected there will be bigger issues at hand. I'm tired of my two year old and myself being bitten.

My recent experience with Aaron's Rentals was very disturbing. I was very excited with my new items that I leased through Aaron's, after my credit had taken a hard blow due to some medical bills from my recent illness. I am handicap, and I am in a wheelchair. I have an extra wide wheelchair and one day before my nurse had arrived to help me for the day, I was trying to get over to my toilet, and one of my wheelchair wheels had knocked the lower side corner of my TV and knocked it down. My TV screen shattered in the top corner. I immediately called my Aaron's store, and explained to their manager what had happened, and asked what my options were at that point. Even if that meant me paying out of pocket to repair the damages, I had no problem doing so because it was my fault even though it was very unintentional and an accident.

Instead of helping me resolve the issue, this manager insulted me, yelled at me, and then hung up on me before I could even respond. They sent their drivers to my home one day, and the driver banged on my window and was yelling through my window at my home health nurse. She of course, did not open the door because she was not allowed to do that unless she was relieving another nurse, and at this point it had frightened us both so I did not want her to open the door either. The driver then went back to my front door and started beating on it very forcefully and loudly. When he saw we would not let him in, he went back to my window and yelled profanities at us. Not only had this disturbed me and my nurse, but one of my neighbors were outside and witnessed this entire situation, and it was a frightening sight.

No matter the reason, no one at any business has the right to approach a customer at their home in such a manner. Not only was it inappropriate, but it was scary. Their lack of customer service skills, is just disturbing, and honestly, it is just not good business. I would never refer a family or a friend, and I certainly would never use Aaron's Rentals again myself. This was the Pekin, Illinois Aaron's, and I wanted to put my story out there, so this may not happen to another customer. It was a horrible experience, and in the end I still was not able to resolve my issue, nor did Aaron's home regional office do anything about the store manager and driver's behavior at my home. This was just a horrible experience all around. I do not recommend using Aaron's Rentals at all.

My husband and I leased a washer and dryer in 2013 and then added a couch and loveseat. This year, we added a fridge. We paid our monthly bills like normally. It is impossible to make these payments due to the way our checks fall being SS. We explained this before we signed the contract. Now since we have our home under modification due to an illegal mortgage, I explained to the Aarons in Cheektowaga NY what was going on and that would like some assistance as making the payment in Jan instead of Dec since we needed a lump sum to buy out our mortgage. All I got was rudeness and how they had already helped us and was not willing to help anymore. All I got was yelling and me leaving the store in tears. I am in the process of filing complaints with the BBB and corporate office. I am not renting from these guys again. This does not include the fact it took me 3 months to get the right dryer and the delivery guys tore a hold in the end the couch for us. This was a very bad experience.

I ended up paying $200 on the 4th and they ran my card again the same day without my permission for another $20 and tried to say I gave them permission and they only ran my card once. They called me everyday wanting another payment and called on Christmas eve stating I still owed two payments for the first and 15th when I have a receipt stating my balance is only 128.65 for the month which I notified them I would pay on the 31st. We applied and since my bf had been at his job for less than a year we were only approved for pre-leased stuff. When they called us back to let us know how much our payments would be we were told that the original price for new would have been 255 a month and they would make us a "deal" of 179 for used furniture. That's 10 dollars more than their advertised original new price. We decided to decline.

Firstly, if I read any of the reviews here before starting anything with Aaron's I would of avoided them like the plague. I'll copy and paste the original complaint I submitted directly to them first and fill in any information where necessary. I had a payment due Monday, December 1st. I called in with my Debit Card info as I always do. The following day, I checked my Debit Card Activity History and I noticed 2 pending charges for the amount due from Aaron's. I first called my bank and they removed the pending charge immediately and they also advised me to call the vendor that charged my card to make sure I will not be charged twice. Just because they removed the pending charge does not mean the actual charge will not be processed. Apparently the General Manager, Store Manager, and no other employees at that location know what a pending charge is or general banking procedures. I called the store and had to convey my situation to 3 different people. I didn't ask to be transferred but I was asked to be put on hold each time I told someone. The last person I spoke to claimed to be the General Manager of the Ozone Park store.

The dialogue went like this: General Manager said, "I'm sorry you were charged twice, I'll process your refund." I said, "I wasn't charged yet, but it looks like my card was put through twice which is why I was seeing 2 pending charges. I called my bank and they got rid of one of them but they advised me to make sure that the second transaction is stopped and does not process." General Manager said, "So were you charged twice?" I said, "Not yet, that's why I called my bank. They took off one of the pending charges and advised me to call you so I'm only charged once." General Manager said, "Oh, so we don't have to give you a refund then." I said, "That's not what I said. I saw that my card was put through twice, which gave it 2 pending charges. I called my bank and they took care of what they had to on their end. I just need you to make sure I won't be charged twice" General Manager said, "OK, I'll handle it." And then she hung up on me. I was slightly taken aback but was assured that I had verbal confirmation that the issue would be dealt with. I was completely wrong because when I check my Debit Card Activity History 2 days later, to my surprise, my card was charged twice.

I immediately called Aaron's to notify them of the discrepancy. I first tried to explain to someone who I believe was the store manager or a supervisor of some sort named Russell (?) the situation, but he also does not understand the concept of banking procedures. I then gave up explaining and walked to the store to show him my activity history with the two charges to my card so he may refund me. When I took a closer look at the receipt I noticed that the section where it would show the approval code for the transaction was blank, so I believe that he just printed me up an invalid receipt and I will not be receiving my refund. In lieu of a refund, I called Chase (my bank) and filed a dispute and charge back for one of the amounts of $96.00 who gave me the credit back while they are disputing the charge with your company. I am very upset and disappointed at the lack of customer care and would like to file a formal complaint against the supposed General Manager I spoke with who disregarded my issue and allowed me to be charged twice and my account to reach a negative balance.

After this I was in contact with the Regional manager Carlos who said that my next month would be free and a credit will be applied for the amount of the overdraft charge for the negative balance. It was never made clear that the credit for the overdraft was not going to be put towards my Debit card but towards my account with Aaron's. I was trying to get in contact with him for a few days and he finally explained it to me after numerous emails. Aaron's needs to hire competent employees and have them properly trained in financial and banking matters and regulations before promoting them. How someone who is twice my age and probably has had more credit cards than I can imagine doesn't know the difference between a pending charge and an actual debit is beyond me.

The employee instantly got snotty with me when he confirmed that it was me that he was talking to. Demanded a credit card or checking information. I do not do those things especially with the way it's so easy to hack into anything. He then proceeded to talk to me real immature like and like a child stating he was waking up every morning and instantly calling me until I either give my credit card or checking information or until I pay. I have been a customer for 3 years. I have rented refrigerator which I asked them to move it two times to different levels of my house. I even asked them to reverse the sides the door opens. All this they did with a smile... yet I live 30 mins. from their store. This is now paid off. I have also rented a washer & dryer which did not work due to my electrical system. They made two trips out bringing new dryers each time before we know what the actual issue was. (W/D almost paid off). I have a small refrigerator and freezer which they moved on two separate occasions without complaint. I also rented a computer (paid off).

I have always found Aaron's North Bend Oregon's Team to be professional, courteous and they have always gone beyond and above what was expected. Even when I was not able to make a payment on time because, like other reviewers, I am on a very limited income. Even then they were kind and considerate of my situation and limitations. I have returned two items. They were picked up in a timely manner and payments obligations ended as soon as I called, arranging pick up.

I am sorry other reviewers have been disappointed. HOWEVER I have been very happy with The North Bend Oregon Aaron's. As for the complaints concerning the rental costs if these reviewers had the good credit to go elsewhere I am sure they would, I would; however, bad credit means we pay more for what we want... if we want it now. If we do not want to pay 100% more to have what we want now, then the cash option is always ours to choose.

I paid off the bunk beds, end up get a ac from them going really got. I thought ac is just about paid off and I get a flyer in the mail saying that I can get new stuff without paying for it ‘til ac’s paid off. I thought cool, so me and my wife went out and got something new. It include a fire place. Only maybe 1 month later, I was watching tv and I seen a spark. Well I had no more tv, trip my breaker. Went and investigated. The cord had wire showing from the fireplace. It burnt up my playstation 3 and my tv box.

Well tv box 150 dollars for a new one and 45 charge for them coming out. New playstation 300 and all Aaron’s could say, well it's not our fault. I was very angry about my playstation. I thought they should replaced it, but instead but they said, check with your renter insurance. Ya they replace it, right. That's a joke. House didn't go up in flames. Anyway, I called. When I first started to talk with the manager, she wasn't being very repstiving her store, and I have a really short fuse so I blow up. Not a good idea. Well I got a replacement tv, a lot smaller anyway. Called up corporate and they said someone would call me back, never did. All this happened november 21, 2014. Well today December 5, they asked for payment and all I owe is 55 dollars for the ac but they want me to pay for my 55 inch tv when I haven't even had it for 2 weeks.

They are freaking nuts so I went in tonight to tell them, I wish that they could just pick up everything cause Aaron’s stuff is garbage and it would just save me a lot more money to just buy straight out. And she ask me, “Why?” And I said, “Well if corporate doesn't want to treat me like a valuable customer, why would I chose to stay with them?” And all she said, “Well my boss knows how you treated me on the phone so who cares.” I am the customer, it was a phone call. Yes I was rude on the phone but she was too. Any I didn't say. Instead after hear that, I just said that I just got up and walked out, shout, “Just pick up my stuff. I don't want my house to burn down.”

I am sorry but why would a mouse chose on wire in my house that’s only been there for one month. So you may be happy with them, like I was. But after this whole ordeal, I changed my mind. I will no longer give Aaron’s rent to own positive remarks out of my mouth. I am ashamed of even renting from them and that’s what I will tell people cause it's the truth out of my mouth. Everybody has their own opinion and my is Aaron’s products isn't worth the money. I much rather tell them to go to best way which is a worse store but they haven't done me wrong yet.

Payment was made and we never get an apology or anything except harassing phone calls and no answers, management never returns calls. Tired of harassing phone calls especially since AARON'S is in the WRONG!!

Long story short they delivered it back finally in Dec. 3, 2014 but to my dismay it was not level & leaning badly about to fall off of my stand. They wanted me to keep it & I refused. The base scuffed up badly but they left me with the minute. Loaner contacted Aaron’s. He wanted me to take a used TV. So dissatisfied with Aaron’s.

A friend of ours rented a desktop Dell computer from the Aaron Rents on Abrams in Dallas Tx. Got a good deal so we decided to go there when our comp started acting up. Before going there I called and got this guy who was professional on the phone and asked what to bring. Was told a lease, i.d. and proof of income. When we got there this RUDE black guy said he was the store manager, his name was Tony. We said we were looking to rent a desktop Dell and he said “Look around.” We found one and I asked him why were there different prices for the same comp. He said “Do you want one or not?” I figured ok, we came this far so we picked one and he gave us app to fill out all the while making "** folk and **" comments. I am Black, my husband is white.

When I handed him the app he was laughing and talking to other Black employees and just in general rude. When I told him that he was being rude he said "I am the manager.. Everybody here will be gone before I am." I told him there must be a corporate office to report to and he said "Go ahead but like I said you will be gone and I will ALWAYS be here. They will tell you one thing and we will laugh about it as you wait to hear back from them."

If not for my husband's cool head it really would have gotten worse. And Tony was right... I reported him to corporate and was told I must be mistaken coz he is very professional, but they will speak to him and get back to me coz it isn't their policy to treat/speak to customers this way... that was in February. I have since heard there are many complaints concerning this store. No action has ever been taken. So I posted it on FB and have received a lot of feedback. BTW, we didn't rent there and from what I have heard on FB, many others have since returned merchandise or not rented there at all.

Well only thing the special was for Black Friday and I could not come to the store. This Aarons went out of their way for me. First ordering the computer for me and then bringing to me in Molalla. And top off their great service I found the same computer I was getting for 18 months not 12 months and again no problems they will make good. Fran, Mike, and all the people through the store I have spoken with on the phone have been great. I now have my new laptop computer and could not be happier. Thank you Aaron's TV staff. When trying to figure out what I wanted to put with a living room suite, the sales lady said, "Well maybe you might want this." I'm not a teenager. I'm not young or naive. I know my own taste. They lost a really big sale and I wouldn't recommend anyone going to this place. Also they do a lot of fast talking. When you start that I'm done. On June 29, 2014, I went into Aaron's for living room furniture. While in the store I saw what I thought was a deal on a previously leased HP Envy laptop, Hp Slate tablet and beats headphones for $117.66 a month for 24 months. Not thinking I took the deal. August 1, 2014 my daughter laid the tablet on the couch in the case, got up and the tablet hit the floor and the screen cracked. When she called me, I came and took the tablet in the store only for the store manager to tell me nothing would be done. I asked about the extra money for the service plus ($9.99) and she told me to read the contract, it only covers normal wear and tear. She told me if I got the tablet repaired and it is to their standards they would take it back. So I called around to several places for quotes and every one tells me $299.00 or greater and that I should just buy a new one. So I took out the contract and began to read it, which I should have done in store, but it states fair market value or reasonable cost of repair. Fair market value is $299.00 the same as repair.

I went back in the store and made a payment to take me to September 1 and told them to pick up everything (the living room set and the electronics). At that time the manager told me after she picks up everything except the tablet she would recalculate the tablet and let me know what the price would be. Meanwhile the account would be held. So they picked up the furniture weeks later and then the phone calls started. Everyday, twice a day and then they started coming by my house. I told each person what the manager had told me and then they stated there was a new manager. Now this manager started off nasty telling me that my account was behind and I am telling him what the first manager told me and while waiting I called corporate which told me that the amount of the tablet would be up to the store manager. I have not made a payment because while all of this was taking place I was losing hours at work and now I am still dealing with my auto injury.

So two weeks ago the store manager calls me with a deal - he will add another refurbished tablet to a new contract for $5 more a month in addition to the broken one at $39.99 a month plus their fees for a total of $60 a month for fifteen months. Then today he tells me that my account is 55 days past due and that corporate will get the account, charge it off and prosecute for theft. How and they will not take it back and I don't want to sign any contract with them regarding this is. What can I do?

Rented another TV from them (not my idea) and found out that the TV rental from this summer, ALL OF MY REFERENCES were contacted BEFORE I even received the TV and we had already paid $80.00 upfront. Ad says no credit etc., but what they don't tell you is, they CONTACT YOUR REFERENCES before you even have the item. References are used to contact in the evening they cannot contact you!!! period!

Finding out recently I have been dumped as a friend because of this contact of references, I immediately decided to have TV removed!!! Want nothing more to do with this company! I called advising this won't work, come 11-12 after 3pm. Was told they would pick up between 3pm and 7pm.

Received call from store from SHAWN asking when we can pay this acct etc. Apparently, not only do their Customer service skills suck but they have no idea who they are talking to when they call. I've been renting from Aaron's for awhile. Sadly, if you have poor credit and not expendable income you are sort of forced this route--so I thought. If you miss one payment...say you are 3 days late, they will start calling everyone you know and harassing them. They will call you multiple times a day, they will send people to your house and actually repo your furniture. It was very traumatic for my kids. This is after I have already paid them thousands of dollars and this is obviously how they make their money. Because if you want your items back you have to pay them a couple months upfront and you get furniture that isn't new and is dinged and damaged.

I would recommend going to Craigslist. You can find some nice living room pieces for $200--which is a lot better than paying that monthly for 2 years. You can also lookup online and find many places that offer mattress sets new and cheaper if you pick up yourself. Again...saves from having that monthly payment hanging over your head. They have that old way of doing things..miss a couple days of paying and they are knocking and calling everyone you know, send their truck drivers in who are thugs to come and get your stuff. Horrible, will never go that route again. I'd rather sit on the floor than be embarrassed by their procedures.

I rent from a local Aaron's in Claremont NH. The "store manager" Dave is a complete CREEP. At this point I have stopped making payments and am seeking arbitration and a mediator and possibly legal help. I have been nothing but harassed by him since the first time I dealt with him approx. a month AFTER I began renting from Aaron's. He is very rude, seems to have aggression mainly towards women (I've heard other complaints from former female customers + my OWN personal experience). He is very demeaning and talks "down" to you esp. if you're a woman, and he abuses his so called "authority" as well.

When I opened this account, I was told they would work with me and I could make weekly payments though they normally accept bi-weekly or monthly only. This was not an issue until I came into the store and he (Dave, store manager) was the one behind the counter taking payments. He immediately embarrassed me by lecturing me in front of several customers, not really making a whole lot of sense, telling me I needed to manage my money better? Mind you this being the first time I met him.

After that I began to use the drop slot to make payments but within two weeks he was at my home (after store hours approx 830 pm) telling me I could no longer use their drop slot to make payments. Instead I needed to physically come inside the store to make payments. Can anyone tell me why this is? Nowhere in the contract is there any mention of this. Isn't that what a payment drop slot is for... to make payments?? I told him I wouldn't step foot in that store if he was there because he had given me such a hard time every time I dealt with him, be it in the store or via phone and that in fact from now on someone from the store other than him needed to contact me and handle my account. He then told me too bad, he was the store manager and he wanted his ** back.

He repeatedly told me that was HIS STORE. I said "I'm done dealing with you" and tried to close my front door. He quickly put his foot in preventing me from closing the door to my home. I screamed for my boyfriend (bf) who came running. Once Dave saw him, he pulled his foot out (he was not aware there was anyone there other than my children). Once his foot was out, I slammed the door. Dave then proceeded to wail on my front door's window. He pounded on the GLASS not the wood of the door, scaring my children and shaking my walls. My bf, concerned Dave would break the window, opened the door and attempted to calm Dave down and talk to him to try to resolve the issue. It was decided that my bf would take over the account and be the one they contact and the one to go in to make the payments from that point on.

They arranged a meeting for a few days later. My bf's diabetic son was sick the day of the meeting so he called to cancel it & to set up another meeting. Dave was unavailable so my bf spoke with staff member Robin who claimed she would give Dave the message and he would call my bf back as soon as he could. Dave never returned his call and has yet to call my bf's phone but continues to call mine. He calls everyday but only between 8am - 9 am. This is BEFORE store hours which is also when I'm at work.

I had made my work schedule known and have also made it known I'm not to be contacted while at work through my personal cell phone as my employer frowns upon that and cell phone use during work hours is grounds for termination of employment. I am also not to be contacted through my employer's number unless it's a FAMILY MEDICAL EMERGENCY. I work shifts by myself at a privately owned retirement home and need to focus on the needs of my 10 residents. It is not the time or place for personal phone calls and once again is grounds for termination.

When I began my contract I was told I would NEVER be contacted at work and my work number would be called ONCE and that was for employment verification ONLY. Dave has recently begun to call my employer in "attempt to contact me". He does not call on my shift however instead he calls on other shifts. For fear of termination at a recent staff meeting, I had made my employer and other staff members aware of the situation and harassment I'm receiving from Dave @ Aaron's. I have been told if these calls continue, they will be more than happy to write statements so I can pursue a restraining order on Dave and/or Aaron's sales and lease.

He is also on a daily basis calling two of my references and tells them he's trying to contact me because I owe him a lot of money and he doesn't have my phone number. Both of these ladies have told him I can no longer use them as a reference and have asked him several times to take their name off his call list and to immediately stop calling their phone but he continues. I believe this is strictly harassment at this point and if something is not done soon about him I will be seeking legal assistance.

I knew that going in, but since I didn't know how long I'd be in town, it made more sense to lease to own a few essentials until I got settled than to buy outright and be stuck with a bunch of furniture to sell or dispose of if I had to move, which was likely. The customer service is a JOKE. Literally the worse I've ever dealt with. I have a complaint pending with the Better Business Bureau with them, it got that bad. I received several annoying borderline harassing phone calls asking me for payment AFTER I had already had them come pick up the items I had rented. They even went so far as to contact my mother! When I called, upset, to figure out how to get the phone calls stop, a clerk dismissively questioned why I was upset and was exceedingly and unnecessarily rude (at one point she literally hung up in my face). In short, avoid this place like Ebola if you know what's good for you.

To begin with I live in an upstairs apartment with an outside entrance door, and a door from my mudroom/stairs into my apartment..... So recently I began to lease a computer and a TV. Well I lost my job so I missed a payment one week and when the guy from Aaron's came to my apartment and walked in my outside door (nobody is allowed through the outside entrance due to it leading into my apartment which is MY property). Anyway, when he got here he walked into my apartment and when I asked him why he walked into my apartment, all he had to say was "Well the door was unlocked".

It is ILLEGAL to just walk into someone's place whether the door is unlocked or even standing wide open. So I called the office and told the manager and she said, "Oh well you should've locked your door". ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I should've called the police and pressed charges but being the nice person I am, I didn't want to put him in jail. I'm calling them again tomorrow to come pick their items up because I'm done with them.

We unfortunately purchased furniture from Aaron's and made weekly payments with extra. We called to get a payoff date and was told a date, which now has changed to 7 weeks later. The accounting department could not give us a exact date, only a roughly? Professional at the least. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was at the back door and asked someone else to take the call from a irate customer. Again such a professional practice. All I can say is we are never going to do business again and wouldn't recommend any local to do business either. I am sure there are good stores out there just not in 84721 zip code!!!

When I purchased my item from Aarons they all impressed me as being very nice people. My item was delivered on time and set up. The problem came with the billing. I explained before anything was signed what day of the month I get paid and when I could pay. The person I spoke to said he would write the contract to meet my payday. I got a letter today and it caused me great distress because it spoke of reinstating my contract and me being late on my obligation. But I had already paid for this month. The letter also said they had been trying to contact me with no response. That is untrue. I saw a call on my phone and returned the call. I was told my account was ahead of schedule.

When I called to get some answers about this letter the manager gave me what seemed to be a rehearsed answer and did not listen, that I was concerned about the statement that I was unresponsive to their calls. As I was trying to find out about this I guess he got upset with me because he hung up the phone on me. I am always concerned when people say things about me that just aren't true. I am very sorry that this has happened I had hoped to do more business with them. I need a printer right now. But I will get it else where. I don't like untrue things being said about me and I sure don't like being hung up on. This was the Monroe Georgia store.

Like I said they were very helpful and very nice to begin with. I guess they feel if you are buying from them you can't get it anywhere else. That is not true. There are other places I can buy. I am really sorry that this happened. As I said I was intending on buying a printer from them right away and would have bought many more items. I am the kind of person that once I find some company I like and is helpful I stay with them. This could have been handled without any of this. Hanging up on someone is not the way to keep customers and is a form of bullying. I am very disappointed I thought I had found a good friendly company to do business with.

Is there any question that with the bad economy people are going to have to learn to be respectful to people to retain their business. However had I used profanity or been threatening, maybe a store employee would say I will not continue to speak to you if you continue to speak to me like this. I think everyone deserves respect. I don't think store employees should have to be abused verbally in the name of business. But me saying I don't understand a policy and need further clarification is no call to have the phone hung up on me. I truly am very sorry not for anything I said or did but that I won't be able to do business with a company with so little respect for me that I am hung up on because I ask why they said I was unresponsive to their calls.

I purchased a dryer from aaron's as a "cash and carry". The dryer was "scratched" was the reason for the amazing price, they claimed. The dryer does not work at all and is completely broken. The company had no remorse for this and told me I purchased it as is. It is illegal to sell broken items and lie about the product. After hours of calling everyone and getting laughed at, I reached the regional manager. She told me they would pick it up today, then refund my money, and it would take 7-10 days to get it back. I am now without a dryer and out 214$. This company is a complete scam.

On Sat, Sep 20, I went into Aaron's to lease purchase a bed, mattress and box spring for my 15 yr old son. They said they could deliver it Monday. I said that would be fine, but that I work till 5 pm, but my 15 yr old son would be there at 3:30 pm after school. Could he sign for delivery? They said no problem and I paid for the month. Monday rolls around, I come home from work, no bed. I call Aaron's and they said it was on back order and it would hopefully be there Tue. Tuesday I get home and my son tells me there was a note on the door that Aaron's had been there at 11:30 am. Really?? I had already told them availability times on Sat, and even reiterated that (AND my child's age) on Monday. So, now it's Wed. They come after 3:30 pm and my son IS there to accept delivery, only to find that someone of 18 yrs has to accept delivery. I was furious. I have told these people several times availability times AND my son's age.

Here's the good part: the girl that took my order initially told me Wed that she told me Sat someone 18 had to be there. No she did NOT, otherwise, of course, that would have been a problem. When I told her that, she continued to say she told me and talked over me, was rude and said 3 other people heard what she had told me about the age thing. Bull! There wasn't even 3 other people IN Aaron's at that time!

So, today, I go in to cancel the order, and the girl didn't want to process the refund, so her manager did. I tried to complain about my treatment, and she was just as, if not more, rude than the girl!! She told me she heard her tell me about the age thing...liar. She wasn't even in the vicinity when I spoke with this girl. (I find it odd that they "remembered" me and what was said in particular with all the customers I'm sure they deal with on a daily basis). I said something to the effect of covering for the girl, and she retorted "Oh yeah, because that's what we do at Aaron's, cover up for each other". Smart **! So, I'm called a liar, basically.

At Aaron's, the customer is NOT right, they are. And, instead of taking care of the problem, they become rude! I have had accts with Aaron's in the past in Pensacola, FL with absolutely NO problems, but this small store in Selmer, TN... well, they need desperately attitude adjustments! I am cancelling the furniture I already have come next payment. I'll go somewhere else where customer service is paramount!

Long story short I moved because it never stopped! I ended up in the hospital then the doctor asked me what I was sleeping on. I told them a memory foam mattress. Then, they asked me where I got it from & I replied Aaron's rents. The doctor advised me that a few other people had come to the hospital for the same thing. And the common denominator was Aaron's on veterans memorial in mableton ga. I contacted corporate and they didn't care, in fact they hung up in my face. I have wasted so much money, now I'm suing.

Well I agreed and requested that both accounts be due on the first because I work two jobs and it was hard for me to make it in. Aaron's agreed and I took the TV. I made the payment for the TV as well as the mattress set on the first of the following month as scheduled. I got a call around the 15th and was told I need to make a payment on my account. I told that them that I made the payment and even showed them the receipt.

The same thing happens again the next month so I just returned the TV and closed the account. I continued to pay on my mattress on the first but every month after the 15th they call and say I haven't made a payment. Then when I inform them that it's been paid online they tell me that it's a problem and I need to pay at the store. I stopped paying at the store because I was told that I had been making partial payments when in Fact I have always paid in full. I was told by one of the females that was working there that they would go in and put in partial payment request in the computer and pocket customers' money. My payments are less than fifty dollars a month. I bring home $3000 a month. I have no reason to make a partial payment. Do not rent from Aaron's. They are thieves. It's bad enough you have to pay such high interest but to be further beat out of your money is crazy. This is happening at the Aaron's on Little Creek in Norfolk.

I called Aaron's & told them to come pick up all of the property that I had been renting, as myself/my property was not safe where I was residing. In fact, the person whom I was living with, we'll call him "D", actually threatened to destroy the property. So I called Aaron's & had them come pick it up & take it all back to the store. Little did I know they didn't pick up all of my rented property. In fact an Aaron's employee, we'll call him "T", actually helped "D" steal my "rented"(I wasn't aware that I had actually paid off both items) item (Xbox 360 250 GB Halo Edition) & the Aaron's employee, "T" took another one of MY "rented" items (32" Panasonic 720P LCD W/IPOD/DVD) as a bribe to allow "D" to keep my Xbox 360.

When I went into the store to try to get this resolved, one employee tried to pull the employee I was speaking with aside & tell him in private "what happened with that situation". I spoke up immediately & said "No. My name is the only name on the account. I have every right to know what happened to my stuff!" The employee then said that "D" had GIVEN "T" my t.v. in order for "T" to allow "D" to keep my Xbox & "T" accepted my t.v. & allowed "D" to keep my Xbox!!!! Are you kidding me? How can someone give someone else something that doesn't belong to them in the first place, let alone an Aaron's employee! I waited a whole month for someone, anyone to call me & correct this situation but no one ever called. I called Aaron's customer service hotline & filed a complaint with them. The man I spoke with told me that a regional manager would call me directly within 48 hrs. Well 4 days later & I've yet to receive a phone call! I paid THOUSANDS of dollars for these TWO items & I have neither to show for it!

I have been a customer of Aaron's Furniture in New Bedford, Massachusetts for over 7 years and have paid off many accounts on time never missing one payment. In all these years I never had any kind of issues and the staff employed back when I started was AMAZING!! The staff has changed several times and even the system changed... Once the system was changed, I was told the credit card they had stored for automatic payment had to be shredded due to security reasons and they no longer accepted payments over the phone. I would have to use the website to make payment or come into the store.

I live off medicare and had several brain surgeries at the hospital of UMASS which makes it very difficult for me to come into the store..yet going through all of this I have never missed a payment. In June I started another contract for a tablet that was a gift for my daughter and it has been a nightmare since. At this time I'm paying 3 accounts and almost done with the first 2, never missing one payment and always on time.. The first call and error from them was done not even a month of purchasing the tablet, in July saying I missed my payment.

I had to tell them nooo I paid up until August and they had me for the 15th of every month, when many times I have been clear my payments should be on the 1st and it has been for over 7 years. I live on a fixed income of medicare and have all my bills paid once the money comes in.. After a few calls in August they finally fixed the issue. Here is September and it's another issue. Since March or April when the system changed I have made all my payments online and on time, never missing once.. I was not told for 3 months now the system has not been working and now they allow payments over the phone or set up automatic once more.

I paid my bill online and only saw 2 accounts. I thought it meant 1 of the accounts was finally paid off. I made my payment for the amount told and thought everything was set. I then got a call a few days later that my tablet account was overdue and I needed to make the payment. This of course caught me by surprise since my payment was done on the website. At that moment I was told of the system errors they been having for several months. Which I think was very unprofessional of them not to notify the customers about the issue they are having. Even worse when I was in contact with them only a month ago solving the first issue I was not told of the issues with the systems.

The account manager mentioned this is happening to many of their customers and many are very upset. I have been in contact with them several times about this matter and have mentioned my situation and income to them. All they say is "We see you have been with us for many years and are an excellent customer. All your accounts have been paid off and always on time". Yet they can't work with me on this issue and if I don't make a payment within 24 hours, I will have to bring the tablet in or they will pick it up and it will ruin my reputation with them".. UMM NOOOO!!

Why should the customers have to suffer for the errors of not just your system but of your lack of communication on notifying that things were not running correct? They have been harassing my mother and sister, yet never call my phone. I have to call them. They don't need to contact anyone else but me, I'm not hiding and have stayed in contact with them to resolve this matter.

I always recommended this store to everyone, to the point I recommended my very own sister but... NOW I WILL SAY HELL NO!!! I want to pay my accounts off and never deal with them again. I feel very disrespected and treated as irresponsible because my account is not paid. They want to come to my house and get a tablet to keep it in the store until I can come up with the payment for this month and refuse to work something out with me.. This is absolutely ridiculous and it's sad a company refuses to take fault for their errors.. THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER!!!

Here the last 6 months have been terrible. I have had some real health issues and was having trouble making my payments on time. I was keeping in communication with them and I was in when I told them I would be! I always tried to give them "some type of payment" each time I got any money. I had a very nice man by the name of Allen come to my house and I again told him the reason that I was behind in payment (they change people about every other month). He told me that he had taken over the financial part of the accounts and that he would note my next day to stop by and things would be ok. I was to call them by the next Wednesday and let them know what I would be bringing in. So when I called to talk to Allen, he was on the phone, and I got a person by the name of Jeremy (I think) and he was very rude on the phone. I ended up asking him his name and what he was there.

He VERY RUDELY told me he was the "boss man" and that I was not going to run my account like that and that he could over rule any decision. I was just floored. He told me that I had to pay the amount due by the due date, or they would just have to come get it and hold it until I could get things back on track. I told him that I did not appreciate the way he was toward me and that I would think about it and call them back. After talking it over with my husband, and thinking about it I got madder every time I thought about it. So I called them and Allen answered and I told him about how Jeremy had acted, and that they could just come get the stuff and that I would not be coming back.

I have been a loyal customer of Aaron's for about 11 years now. I have bought 3 furniture sets, well 2 but one of them was ruined and they had to have them replace it with a new one after constant back and Forths but I gave Aaron's the benefit of the doubt and they finally made it better by giving us a new set which we still had to pay extra for which was neither here nor there because we agreed (and the new set was a pos too and we kept it, but real leather my bum). So I kept going with Aaron's and I also bought too a freezer, a bed frame and two washer and dryer sets. The first I bought about ten years ago which conveniently broke down 2 months after my payments were done, but back then Aarons' was more of a reputable company and they made things right and fixed their items even though it was done being paid on because paying over $2,000 for a mediocre washer and dryer is a lot! So that was taken care of and I was very pleased. About 6 months later it totally bit the dust but I ate that breakdown and never complained to Aaron's again about it.

So here lies my complaint. I just finished paying off another washer and dryer set and boom, two months after it was done being paid on, the washer crapped out. So I called Aaron's and with a little bit of me having to make them listen because I have been such a good customer they finally said, "We will fix it." They took it in, gave me a temporary washer which worked way better than mine ever did so we realized ours was faulty to begin with. It would never fill all the way and Aaron's told us it was a new sensing thing so we just went with it. But anyway they took ours to fix it which took a little over a month to fix and when we finally got it back and it was dented, scratched so we complained and after some hemming and hawing they gave me a credit toward my bedroom set I have now which was $50 and we will get to the bedroom set.

So we have the washer back for little over a month and again it stopped spinning out and draining again and now it's worse! We called Aaron's yet again and all hell broke loose. They were rude, told me I needed to own my product and they helped me with the first problem. I asked them well, Don't they warranty their work. They told me to call the place that fixed it. They gave me the name - wouldn't give me the number location or what they did to my washer to "fix" it. I finally got a hold of the place and they had no record whatsoever of fixing my washer.

So once again I called Aaron's and asked them, "Doesn't loyalty count for anything these days?" And of course not with the new managers at Aaron's, so I went little further and called corporate a few times which is just an answering service with of course no avail. So needless to say they have done nothing. I told them I would return my new furniture set that I got before I paid my washer and dryer off that of course had scratches and dents in my "new unused" furniture and also had to deal with them delivering me 2 nightstands that were junk. I finally got a new one.

My point is no matter all the crap I have endured, I stayed a loyal customer and of course that goes for nothing, except for them saying own our product and "you should have gotten the extended warranty" which I did ask for after they "fixed" my washer and they said because I didn't hound them for it, I didn't get it. Well excuse me, I thought the Business was supposed to vie for the customer but not when it benefits the customer, only them!

I will have to drop Aaron's forever if nothing is done about this. I am stuck with a $1000 2-year-old washer that I can do nothing with. I am not a rich person and cannot afford to just buy another washer after. In the last 10 years I have gone through 2 washer and dryer sets, 3 living room furniture sets, a freezer, a bed frame and now a bedroom set. Whatever happen to backing your product and taking care of your loyal customers because with my count I have made Aaron's a butt load of cash and all I have gotten in return is crappy furniture, treated like a heel and nothing but aggravating crap!

I really think after all the money I have dropped with this company I am due a new washer. All I wanted was for Aaron's to back their work and their products. I could understand if I was a new customer and my washer was like a year out of contract but come on seriously!!!!!! I really hope this will be resolved. Otherwise I will have to go to the media, the net and a lawyer!!!!!

I have been a loyal customer of Aaron's for 6 months. I recently purchased a bedroom suite at the beginning of August 2014. The dresser was infested with bedbugs. Now my whole house is infested with these nasty bugs. I've tried calling customer service but because it is a franchise store, nobody has responded. I've tried talking to the manager but all they want to do is come and get the furniture.

I have had exterminators come to my house to treat it. I have also been to the doctor because I am allergic to them. The manager doesn't want to take responsibility. My dryer (from Aaron's too) will heat up but not spin clothes to dry them. I called to get them to bring me a loaner and see what is wrong with this one. The manager said since we are having a issue with the bedroom suite that they would not do anything and it's included in the issue as well. The whole situation is not right. Don't ever buy anything from this particular store. I have been hung up on, yelled at on the phone, and lies about coming to pick up the furniture.

I just recently got a rent to own contract for living room furniture and found the table and chair damaged. After making several calls to the Manager to no avail, I went by the store and told them about it. The young lady told me they would deliver the replacements, that coming Thursday. I never heard from anyone to confirm, so I called. I spoke to **, the Manager, who delivered it. He told me he was coming to replace them that day, between 3pm and 8pm, and never showed up nor called. Then when I call him the next day, he says he needs to come look at it, because as he says "when he delivered it, the furniture was fine". There is a hair line crack in the table and a small scratch on the chair arm. The customer service at the 2564 Wesley Chapel store is horrible! I told him forget it, just come get the whole damn set! I will never do business with Aaron's again.

In September of 2012 I did a rent to own with Aaron's rents (875 Bridge St., Brighton, Co.) I rented a love seat and couch. I was told at the time I signed my contract that if something happened to the furniture while still under the lease contract that it would be fixed or replaced. We had an issue with the love seat in July of 2013, the handle broke on the recliner. I was told at the time that they couldn't replace it at that time, that they were on a buying freeze and couldn't order anything. They called me about a month later and told me that they had a replacement and would be delivering it. When they arrived at my house the whole back of the love seat was ripped, I wouldn't let them unload it. They called me a couple of days later and told me that they had another replacement. They arrived with a so called new love seat, but once they delivered it and put it in my living room, I noticed that the back of the love seat was ripped and the corner was peeled back.

They tried to tell me that it occurred while trying to get it through my door. With the damage to the love seat, my door frame should have damage and it does not. I tried calling and talking to their manager at the time **, and I was told that they would look into it. Every time I would make a payment I would ask what the status of the love seat was and I would get another excuse. Then the first part of this year the store was under new management. I asked the new manager ** about my love seat and was told that they had a stack of issues to go through from the previous management. Then in April I went to the store and told them that the cup holder on the love seat was cracked and falling through the bottom and to see what they were going to do with the tears. They sent someone out the following week to look at it and I was told they would order a new cup holder and they took pictures of the love seat where it was torn.

In May when I made my payment I asked about the status of the love seat and was told that the cup holder was on back order and they are not sure yet what they are going to do about the tears. I asked again in June and July. I was told someone would be out to replace the cup holder on July 18th. I stayed home all day waiting and nobody ever showed up or called. I called again on August 25th and they told me that they would send ** out on August 4th. ** came back out on the 4th and finally replaced the cup holder that was ordered 4 months prior. He took pictures again of the torn love seat and Said he would talk to ** and get back to me. He told me to email him if I had any further questions. I emailed him on August 5th with no response.

Finally on August 15th I went into the store. I made another payment and asked to talk to **. After waiting 20 min ** finally came out. I told him I wanted this issue addressed. ** said "sorry I didn't respond, my wife had a baby." ** told me on August 15th that he would send ** back out to get the serial numbers off the love seat. He said that they were coming across several pieces of furniture that the other management had sent out as new but were in fact used but that they were still collecting payments as if it was a new piece of furniture. On August 18th ** came back out to get the serial numbers off the love seat, but when he went to take the picture there was no serial number stamp on the couch so he took the serial number off the recliner mechanism and told me that he would give this info to ** and they would call me back.

On August 22nd I called back and Spoke to **. He said he was still waiting to hear from the manufacturer. I don't know what good that is going to do because when the love seat left the manufacturer it was new, how is that going to prove anything. He said he would call me back. On August 22nd I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Colorado and in Georgia where the corporate office is located. I also filed a complaint with the Corporate office. On August 28th I called the corporate office since I had not heard back from them and was told that they would forward my complaint again to the district manager. I tried calling every hour since 11 am to the store to speak to **. I was told every time that he was out on deliveries but would have him call me when he got back in. At 4:30 I called the store and was told he was gone for the day. I only have $ 263.47 left until the love seat is paid off. I believe that they are waiting to address this issue until it's paid off so they don't have to fix their mistake. I guess my next step will be to take this to the media!!!

I am aware my Love Seat set has 6 payments left. As of 3 months ago (!) I couldn't make a payment online realizing that they will not accept any cards from me. Which the Rep kept saying it's decline. So! After the last 2 attempts, I have been cashing in person, and have my receipts. Aaron's on Georgia Street are still calling. They are telling me my sister is late but why call me when she has her own cell phone number. So! The account is under my sister name because I was helping her rebuild her credit - it's why we're still doing things in payment and she pays for a bedroom set. She showed me her screenshot of her online payment.

After talking to my sister last Sunday, August 17, 2014, She has paid for the month when she is making semi payments and still owing about a few months of payment. We decided to look online together. We see that Aaron's Account Manager has not posted my payment but it is showing up that I haven't paid for August.

Seriously! What is this Account Manager trying to do? Pull a scam on me because last time I checked my Love Seat set I got for my parents as an early Christmas gift last year was brand new. While I am making most of the payments, she think she can just pull this scam so she can take the sofa, pay the differences off, and that isn't just unfair but stealing. It is pissing me off that this Account Manager is trying to take advantage making it look like I'm late so she can come the Love Seat over her scam she is pulling.

I would like for you guys to look into it ASAP before it's too late because Account Manager like this is the reason why you may lose businesses. Being an experience Sales when I was 18, I believe consistent & customer value is benefiting. Harassing, cheating, stealing, and scamming consumers/customers is bad business method when I am from a small town. Imagine if people stop purchasing through Aaron's. You may not be in business in a few years. Please look into it and make them stop harassing and stealing from your customers before they make this any worse! - A valued customer point of view

They need to have negative star ratings. I had made an agreement and it was supposed to be noted in my file that while it is due on the 15th they would not stop calling me until the 20th and that I would always pay by the end of the month, which they said was fine. The ridiculousness of this business is beyond imagination. If I had known this or had been smart and read reviews I would have NEVER EVER even walked into the store EVER!! I am out of work still since last September and have explained this to them several times that we will pay when we can - send someone to my ** house was just the last straw!!!! I HATE AARONS and decided that I would be writing MY OWN AWFUL REVIEW TO ADD TO THE OTHER ONES!!!!

Calls go straight to voice mail because they call the day after you miss a payment and then every day after until the payment is made (even though arrangements have been made), and that's how it is going to stay until we are done with the payments and the units are ours. I cannot wait for that day to get here! Believe me if we did not have to have them I would have let them take it the other day when they showed up at our door when our parents were here!!!! UNFORGIVABLE!!!! I have never been so embarrassed in my entire life! Good thing THEY understand the hard times that most of the country is in right now and that we are in at this time. YOU WILL ALWAYS GET YOUR PAYMENTS UNTIL THEY ARE PAID OFF SO THEY NEED TO BACK OFF!!!!

It started 2 years ago September. My fridge went out and had to get another and fast as my food would go bad and with 4 kids in the home that's a lot of food. So I went to Aaron's after looking alwaysigslist. Found a nice fridge like I've always wanted, you know with freezer on bottom. Signed papers for a fridge and washer and dryer seeing how my cousin needed hers and would of spent more a month on going to laundromat. I was so excited. Not only was I getting a nice fridge but washer and dryer also.

See I've never had anything New (or even close). I have used one of their programs months after paying fridge off completely in Feb. My husband does construction and is seasonal where we live due to extreme weather changes. We have struggled to keep payments but we have always paid in that mo. We have since gotten a couch, vacuum and TV as well as bought an entertainment center outright from Aaron's. Now that our washer and dryer will be paid off in full next mo (in other words the end of payments on it), they want to come and get everything because we are barely a mo. late.

We called and explained that my husband got laid off totally unexpectedly for this time of year and that we would be in to pay but needed time. They said ok. Let me say that we have had couch since February and still have not received all the pieces for it and still made payments. Now after barely a mo. they made a payment arrangement with my husband to pay $100 today and pay rest on Friday. 2 hrs after them arranging this, they call me and say they have to pick everything up. Now that my washer and dryer is paid off next mo.

This is ridiculous. I understand they need their payment but we have NEVER missed a payment altogether. And in the 2 yrs have never been more than 1 WEEK late. I have made them thousands of dollar s and this how they treat me. Chances are we will end up in court. So on that note, If you are reading this and are thinking about going here, I'M BEGGING YOU FOR YOUR OWN SANITY, DON'T DO IT! See this is how they make their $ by waiting till you almost have it paid off then coming and getting it to sell to someone else and start this all over again.

I bought a trundle bed for my daughter. It was delivered and within a month it broke!! The frame broke. It was poor workmanship plain and simple, but when Aaron's sent two of their so-called professionals out to look, they would not take the bed back and basically told me my daughter was too fat for the bed and that's why it broke!! So I have paid all this money for a piece of garbage that is of no use to anyone. I supposedly owe five payments on this garbage and I refuse, that's right, REFUSE to pay another penny on it!!!

Next I bought a washer and dryer set. I got behind one month and I was told by a manager and he actually wrote it on a piece of paper that I only owed a bit over 96.00 to pay them off. I borrowed money and paid what was asked and thought I now owned my washer and dryer. Then because of a complaint by my daughter I got a phone call and at that time I was told I owed three more payments on the washer and dryer. I have already paid probably three times what they are worth.

Recently we had two deaths in the family and I have been in Oregon helping my sister with stuff ,and Aaron's has been going over and trying to strong arm my family and threaten them. Because of where I’m at, I’m unable to get a signal sometimes on my cell. But I did leave a message just for Aaron's because my daughter said she is going to catch up with everything when she gets her grant money, instead of buying a car. But do they care? Hell no. I was told they went banging on the door and woke everyone up at ten pm and my sister and daughter had to be at work at 5 am the next morning so they didn't bother getting up to answer the door. And I was told that sat morning they came banging again like they were making a bust and my mom was washing dishes and totally ignored them. They could see each other but they pissed her off so she wouldn't answer the door.

My daughter is taking some money to them this Friday when she gets paid from working, then she will pay them the rest when her grant money is loaded onto her card. Plus I will give her money to give them when I get paid. But I want that garbage bed dropped. I'm not paying for insults and garbage.

Purchased a Pre-Owned TV From Childress, TX Aaron's store. The TV had been through their service center and check for function, everything was said to be in Excellent condition. After having the TV for 2 weeks, several of the sound inputs stopped working. Aaron's picked up the unit (and dropped off a much lesser quality "Loaner") for the unit to go for service. After calling Aaron's Local store 4-5 times, NEVER getting a call back, the TV was finally returned to the store.

A Store Rep called and setup a delivery of the "repaired" TV for Fri (Specific dates being left blank on purpose...court date pending). Friday, stayed home all day waiting... nothing... Saturday, stayed home all day waiting... nothing. I called the store on that next Monday, I was told when they checked the TV at the store, before delivering it, it was missing ALL the input and output ports on the TV and was being sent back to service for further repair. NOTE: There was no phone call to let us know they would NOT be delivering the TV. I was told by the Store Manager that we would receive a call the following Monday to let us know what was going on. SURPRISE... no call. I know this is long, but the good part is yet to come... Hang in there.

After calling the store several more times over the next 6 weeks, I finally was told that the Main board in the TV needs to be replaced, and I would be told something more on Wednesday... today. The store Manager asked me to meet him at the store so we could figure out what was going on from there. I arrived at the store and find out that the Manager in question has Wednesdays off!!!!! I am told by the "general manger" as he called himself, that the TV was not able to be repaired. I requested my money back so I could take my business elsewhere. I was told that I could NOT have the money back, and they would look to see if they could find something else that would replace the now 3-month-old TV, that we have not been able to use. Now getting to the good part...

Not only was I told that I could NOT get my money back by the "General Manager" but the Regional Manager as well. I have been paying the monthly installments on the TV, in good faith that they would have it fixed and back anytime... They now are DEMANDING my next and final payment on this TV that I do NOT have. I turn to some other customer in the store and give a friendly warning that this is how their customer service works... The "General Manager" tell me, "Remove yourself from the property, or I will remove you." As I made him aware that he just Threatened me... aka Assault... Did he want to call the police, or did he want me to.

As I walk out of the store to avoid escalating the situation, I call the police, to prevent the "General Manager" from physically removing me from the parking area. Good thing I did too, because as I was outside the store, in the parking area, the "General Manager" approaches me again... and I make him aware I am on the phone with 911 Dispatch. The problem is still not resolved, but I am not allowed on Aaron's Property. The officers told me I have the right to take this to court, and unless I hear something for a resolution from Corporate in the next day or 2, that is where we will be.

This past June we rented to own an electric recliner. I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis (Not looking sympathy, just stating facts of why I rented this recliner.) I can't sleep in a bed because of severe pain in spine and shoulder. So I must sleep semi seated. When I selected this recliner, it was perfect except for a small stain on the seat. No problem, as I put a sheet down to sleep. After they brought it the first time (over due by 2 weeks) the reclining mechanism wouldn't work. They took it back and fixed it. My s.o. told me that when they brought it back in order to get it into the room they had to shove it through the tight doorway, scraping the paint. When I got home I noticed the arm had paint on it and the seat was slightly slanting. I didn't at the time put two and two together.

After using my chair for about a month the arm started moving away from the frame which caused the seat to drop further. I called AARONS lease and was told that they didn't force it through the door, and they would come by and see about fixing it. After 2 non arrivals I called and they finally showed up. The guy looked at it and said he would find out what he could do. After not hearing from them for a week, I called and was told that they would try and find me a replacement. He didn't know how long it would take. He said I could come in and pick a new one but that it would be higher in price. When I chose this recliner there was nothing broken.

Why can't they just fix what they damaged and leave it at that? The rudeness and carelessness has put me in a terrible bind. I have no choice but to enter into another agreement. Why should I be penalized for their damage? I was told at the time of purchase it was in perfect working order except for the stain. Now I'm told I bought it as is. If that was truly the case why was I told they would fix it and why was the reclining mechanism repaired after I bought it at no cost? Something here stinks and it's not my recliner.

Then I contacted the regional manager about the same thing and he said that they were sending orkin's out. The regional manager and Orkin came out to do an investigation and the exterminator said he do not see any sign of them being in my house. So I talked to the regional manager about how I was treated and how unhappy I was by me being a new customer. He told me to come to their Maple store and he can give me a copy of the report, but when I got there he didn't have the report. Then still was trying to sell me furniture at a discounted price. But my house was never exterminated and I have to pay out of pocket for it as well as rewash and purchase the things needed to make that my kids and I would be ok. If anyone wants to be harassed, peeking in windows, trying to open your door when in shower then go and rent from Aaron's. Since day one I was skeptical on whether or not to go through Aaron's. My boyfriend convinced me to do it, he had previously bought 6 items from them. We had ran into a bad year never not paid, but late maybe 1 to 2 weeks sometimes. I personally hated calling the store cause they have always been rude and argumentative. It got to the point that my boyfriend and I would argue over who would call the store.

They have been showing up in different cars waiting down the street, harassing our neighbors. Even someone who knew them asked them why they where hiding down the street or peeking in our windows. I could understand if they where the police, or if we owed months worth of payments. But this kind of customer service is out of hand. For 8 dollars an hour they take their job to a whole another level, I have a family and explaining to my 6-year old why these people are harassing us isn't easy. So I figured out a way to not deal with them, so I paid it online. Even worse, it's been 2 weeks now and my bank gave me a statement that it went through. They have continued showing up saying I did not pay them. Now I lost 252 dollars, I don't think so. I want my money back, and they can have their cheap ripoff couch back. They pry on people who don't have money to buy new furniture and things and rip them off. To me that's pretty sad and a terrible way to run a business.

To me that is not insurance. I have tried for over a month to come pick up these items, they keep giving me the runaround. I don't know about the other stores but the store on Dale Mabry is HORRIBLE! DO NOT RENT FROM AARON'S!!!

I just got my washer back today and it's not the same one I had asked for in the first place. I wanted a matching set, but this is not matching. This is poor service. The store manager is so rude, I can't get a word out. She raises her voice and cuts me off as I'm trying to say something. I'm taking this washer and dryer back and I want my money back too.

I called AT&T because I had to register with them. I couldn't put anything in it, no name or password. The lady told me how to bypass it and get in. I sent it back. Laptop 2 brought it out, I put my name in it and password. Password didn't work. I hit a key that took me somewhere else in the computer that showed where the passwords would go but the hard drive disk was locked. I couldn't get back to the home page.

I called Dell, they tried to unlock it but couldn't. Told me to send it to them and they would upgrade it and I talked to somebody else and finally I told them I would have them come get it. But they wouldn't come get it when I told the lady that I wanted a refund. I had to come in and sign some papers before I could get a refund. It took me a week before I could get a ride. I told the lady I was disabled, have a dog and have to take my shopping cart with me. Everything I take with me is of some value and you can't leave in your apartment.

I've had a non-working laptop for almost 2 weeks. I got a ride, took the laptop back and all but told me that I broke the hard drive that controls the password after one use. The laptop had been used so if I wanted it I've got to get it fixed for $80.00 plus $105.00. I can't tell you what the computer looked like other than the e in explorer is blue. I never used the computer. I left it with them to fix and I'M going to call them and tell them I'M not paying for something that should have been under warranty and that expires Oct 28, 2014. All I want is my $105.00 back.. I can be reached by voicemail. I can't answer my phone yet I can return calls. Thank you.

This has to be the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my whole life. First of all the sofa they brought was filled with roaches, so I had to pay out the cash to have that treated! If you go to one of the locations, you start to notice the place is crawling with roaches. Then we were late on one payment about 1-2 weeks past due. At this point, we have paid about $800 to these criminals for a sofa that is nowhere near that amount of money. My husband called them and informed that we would be late and they said that was fine. He even gave them a partial payment to placate them even though it made it rough on us financially for the week. Then the next week, two men show up at my doorstep asking about the payment.

I said I was not sure about it and that I thought he had talked to them and offered payment. Then the one guy said no payment was made at which was total BS since I had the debit charge to prove it. They left, then they showed once again in the same week and I told them that we would make the payment the following Monday when we got paid. Then near the end of the week another guy showed up and forced me to wait on him to call the office for the amount we owned. While I was waiting for him to get a hold of them, he went on and on about how seriously we in arrears to them, which was news to me since I know we made the last installment payment a partial payment and had told them Monday we were going to pay the rest of the bill for that month. He finally gets off the phone and informs me that this "serious" amount we owed was $78. I couldn't believe it, all that harassment for $78! I understand we were late but come on now!

Then, I pretty much told him that he should stop coming around for only being one cycle late. He then got snotty and informed me that until we paid the bill he was going to send someone to our doorstep every day till they got it! Then, he went on to ask for a postdated check, since I again mentioned the fact that the following Monday we were paying the bill. He then replied he was going to come out with someone with a badge. I know that is crap. The police are not bill collectors and the only reason they would come is to hand you a subpoena to go to small claims and/or allow the property to be taken back. What a liar! Never ever buy from these liars and criminals. Just sit on the floor until you can pay cash for a decent sofa!

I went online to make my monthly payment for May 2014. I was called the next day saying that I didn't make the payment. I gave confirmation number, then I was told I was a dollar and a few cents short of making the total payment needed. I paid $82.00 because that is what showed up for payment online and that is what I told Keona. However, I had been paying $84.00 a month for my sectional.

Then a late fee of $20.00 was attached to my account for previous months that Keona said I was late paying my bill. Late to them is a day after the 4th of each month, then they want to attach a $5.00 fee each day for being late after the 4th day of the month. This is something new they started that wasn't mentioned when I opened the account and was given my contract papers.

At first I stated that I would pay the late fee, but remembered that I really didn't owe a late fee. Then the manager Keona start calling me every day for the remainder of this month three to at least seven times per day. Now, today is May 28th of 2014. At 8:10 pm someone rang my door bell. I looked out and it was Aaron's rental guy. He said he came to collect $32.00 in late fee for this month. (Don't forget I have paid this month rental fee but they have attached late fees that are dragging on for this month of May at $5.00 a day, that is what the manager Keona told me. Is this legal.)

I got very upset because I was in my gown getting ready for bed and I was under the impression that bill collectors could not come out to a home after 7:00. If I am wrong, please tell me. The aaron's guy called Keona and I talked to Keona on the Aaron's guy phone. I told Keona that I will call them on Friday of this week and make arrangements for them to come get the sectional this Saturday, that is how angry I became with the way they was treating me as a good paying customer. I am not behind, I have never gone over 30 days without making my payment and this is how I am treated. Good management would drop the late fee and wait for me to make my June payment. They are already charging too many excessive fees anyway that I really overlooked to get the sectional. Keona said to me that they don't want the sectional back. However, they won't get any more money from me.

I am totally disappointed in the way I have been treated. I have been harass everyday of this month with phone call during my work hours and up to 8 or 9 o'clock at night. They have left so many messages that I can't even count them. Some people get as far as 2 and 3 months behind in paying them. I have never been 30 days late paying them, never.

Last Monday April 7th, 2014 I called the Milwaukee Oregon Aarons store where I have been leasing a sectional couch since June of 2013. The reason I called was to schedule a pick up date for them to come and get the couch. I spoke to AJ, a salesperson in the store who asked why I wanted to return the couch and I responded that I simply hate it. The couch is just breaking down very fast and was cheaply made. For the amount I am spending on interest it's just not worth it. AJ responded with he was sorry to hear that and since I have been paying, I had invested over one thousand dollars that he would hate to see me lose. He suggested that I come into the store and find something else that I could apply the one thousand dollars toward so I don't lose out on my investment. I told him I may be interested in a dresser for my son and he said no problem that all I would have to do is make my current payment and I would be set.

Later that afternoon my 19 year old son and myself headed to the Aarons location. My son spotted a television he really liked that was a little over twelve hundred dollars. When I got up to the desk AJ greeted me and said that I could pick anything out that had a green tag. Of course when I told him about the television he went and got the tag then said, "first we need to get your payment," which I paid more than what was asked thinking I was going to get this television. Once he took my payment everything changed. He went and talked to the finance guy, then came out with all this mumbo jumbo about cutting 30 percent off my balance etc etc. Realizing that I was getting my chain yanked I asked how much to pay it off today, he then walked away to speak to the finance guy again and came back with some absurd number that was almost nine hundred dollars. Of course I was angry I told him to forget it and come get my couches.

I felt deceived by him and his shady salesmanship. I walked out of the store pretty much blowing my lid which I see was wrong but I felt taken advantage of. My son who is a cool collected kid went in to try to understand what happened and AJ totally lied to him and told him that he explained all this to me on the phone. The funny thing is one of my coworkers also leases from Aarons at the same location. She called to make her payment and asked if she returned her couch if she would be out her money. She was told she could apply whatever she paid to whatever else in the store she wanted so she didn't lose her investment.

Here is my problem I was lured to the store with the understanding my 1000 dollars would be applied to whatever I picked out, if this was true I should have been able to walk away with that television that day with paying approximately three hundred dollars. This is a form of false advertising and it's walking a fine line of bait and switch (the ploy of offering a person something desirable to gain favor then thwarting expectations with something less desirable). This is BAD BAD BAD customer service I work at an apartment complex and we will never allow Aarons to advertise through us or will refer anyone to them. Oh and my friends and family are also very excited I am no longer going to Aarons since if you are five minutes late on a payment they call you and everyone you put down as a referral multiple times a day and are very rude. I will also be reporting this on every search engine and BBB.

Wow! I purchased a bedroom and living room set with your company a few months back. And boy has it been nothing but a nightmare! I was referred to you through a friend, whom I have shared this entire experience with. I work for a very large company, where I manage all client relations for 8 stores, and I can tell you, something like this would NEVER happen. I ordered a king size bedroom set, they delivered me a queen. I called and the girls answering the phone who are not only rude, unpresentable and careless said they would order me the correct size and it would be delivered Thursday. Thursday around 5pm I still had not heard from there for a delivery time so I called them. "Oh looks like nothing was ever ordered. Let me get with my manager and order it again. It will be in Thursday."

At this point I understand things happen so I said okay. Another week goes by still no contact from you guys so I call again. LUZ and Jeff? are the two who I dealt with almost every time. They had the audacity to again tell me, "Wow, looks like it was never ordered. Are you sure we placed the order?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So I asked to speak to a manager. Not once did anyone even apologize or extend concern whatsoever. The manager proceeds to tell me that the bedroom set is on backorder (which by the way I know is BS - he just needed an excuse) so I then said, "Okay, how does nobody there know what is going on?" I have now been almost a month without being able to sleep on my bed. So I said at this point I have now made 3 payments on something I do not have, and I have missed days of work waiting around for something to be delivered, that was just never even acknowledged.

Lastly, I asked if I could just keep the queen bedroom set and order a queen size mattress, the woman said yes absolutely and it would cost no additional since I had been paying for a king size bedroom set to begin with. So the queen bed was ordered and delivered a week later. No follow up from them, no nothing. Not surprised. THEN 2 weeks goes by and it is time for my payment, which they have no problem calling 15 times a day to remind you about. I was told by 2 managers I would receive a $40 credit for the weeks I did not have the bed and had been paying for it all along. SHOCKER - there were no records of this. The manager did honor the $40 credit because he seemed to remember the discussion. HOWEVER, my payment went up an additional $50.

When I spoke to the woman she clarified over a dozen times, as did I, that there would be no additional charges. I signed no additional paperwork or anything. This company is the biggest JOKE and mess of a company I have ever dealt with. How can your entire management team be so clueless and apparently your entire staff as well? As a corporate company you would think you would have your stuff together a heck of a lot better than this. Needless to say I paid what they said was due, but I refuse to pay it again. This needs to be cleared up. I will never refer this store to a single person I know and I will absolutely be in touch with the BBB as well as any review site I can log into if this is not resolved.

The employees along with the store manager would not return our phone calls so we went to regional manager and that even took a while so eventually we got different couches. And I would say within a month the couches were getting little pin holes in the fabric, so again we are trying to get a hold of everyone and the way they treat their customers is crazy. They have no respect let alone any people skills.

So they said the original couches were re-done so we went back to those. Let's just say it took a little longer to fall apart. So by this time I was beyond mad. So I then was talking to the financial manager who called really late at night, big no no in my book. I have an infant and a husband who works really early. Well, I suppose my honest willingness to return the leased merchandise as well as offer what money I had toward my payment returned a good deed. I can also only assume that since I am a logical person that very well knows that if I haven't completed a lease by making all of my payments that any merchandise in question is NOT mine and no one should ever even act as if they think they have a right to keep something that can't be paid for.

I FINALLY got a ride to my local store and I had scraped up what I could as far as my lease for this month and took it to the store. I have used my two allotted payment holidays but I have never ever had to ask for a payment extension and the store's manager came out and worked with me on this payment. I've never been in such a situation where I really had to choose paying my over inflated utility bill or pay the lease on my furniture and the store's staff know I have only good intentions when it comes to paying my bill. So, I think we are even with each other now. I believe this generous gesture of understanding more than compensates for that big cab fare tab. Aaron's I must tip my hat to you for at least having decent people in my small hometown store. Yeah, they understand but only if they know you well enough to know when you are sincere because I was just at the point of liquidating some things in order to get this payment but Tim, Sam, and Rhonda all helped me out this long, tiring day. Thank you !

    Original Review: March 11, 2014

First of all, I went to Aaron's assuming they were better than the other small town competition; I had a very bad experience with the other store and wanted to be treated like a real customer. I was told that they (Aaron's) would never do anything like what the other place did but I found out differently. We leased a bed and a washer and dryer set and I've ran into a problem with my payment for this month (March 2014). I told the one in collections that I was going to try to get there with something on my account; she seemed to understand but before she hung up she asked for a post-dated check.

No, I don't think so that sounded all too familiar to me. I have the money to pay for the bed but not the washer and dryer but from what I understood they wanted the entire payment. My utility bill was $361.00. Between that and my lease I'm flat broke and the APPROPRIATE thing for me to do as always was to pay my lease and my utility bill BUT they don't care. They don't want to hear that. So, I'm willing to let the property that is rightfully theirs go back. They aren't harassing nearly as bad as they do my brother and when he tried to surrender their property to them they refused. So I'm waiting to see how they'll react to me when I get there. I'd prefer that they come and get what I can't pay for but only time will tell. Of course, this fiasco is easy considering the fact that they lied to me about the "new" laptop I bought from them.

I began having problems with the computer just before I made the final payment on it. They took it twice and told me they were sending it out to have it fixed. The last time they took it, it came back worse than it was before it left me. I called them a week ahead of time and told them that the same thing was wrong with it but this time I was only barely getting a faint line on the screen. I explained the issue and told them that I would be coming back in a cab because I don't drive. Well it sounded pretty good because they were very easy-going on the phone as if everything was alright. They told me to bring it back and they would take care of it.

The week passed and the day came for me to take the computer back. I called the store to tell them that I'd be bringing the computer back shortly and that if there was any paperwork that had to be done, go ahead and at least print the stuff off so all I had to do was sign it and get out of there. Once again they acted like they were really listening and they cared (ha, yeah right). I get there and there aren't any customers in the building, but I was made to wait and I know it was intentional because everyone ran when they saw me coming. Well, a customer came in and then everyone comes out of hiding and made it look like I was being taken care of.

The sales associate took his own sweet "slow flowing caramel time" about trying to check the computer out. When I saw my cab driver coming into the store, I reminded him that I was in a cab and that I was probably generating a large fare, he plainly told me, " Rome wasn't built in a day"; on top of that they gave me a crusty old computer that has a battery that won't hold a charge for even 30 minutes so it has to always be plugged in and when it gets warm the battery slips off all by itself. How arrogant and ornery of them all.

After I was told by my cab driver that I had already had 11 minutes wait time, I was hot and they knew it and STILL didn't care. I hated to even hear my final fare once I returned to my home; I, or shall I say Aaron's had generated me a $30 cab fare. I was asked about that incident whenever I got into a cab and it finally dissipated but not before most of the drivers talked about it and found out that it happened to me.

To date I have got no apologies or anything for all of the mess I've put up with from these people. I will admit that I've had to use the two payment holidays that I had available but I still feel like I'm right about my decision to pay my lease and utility bill. I've been VERY lenient with these rude folks. I refuse to even try to get a cab to that store, not after the incident that I endured... never again.

So called them, they replaced it and now this one is BROKE DOWN! I called them and told them about the Mattress and all they kept doing is giving me the run around. I told them I would not make any payments until I got another Mattress and all they keep doing is lie to me. I have called them at least 20 times and they just keep on lying. All they want is their money, they do not care about a long time customer. We will not shop at Aaron's anymore!!!!

My current husband had went and got a TV from them and at the time we were dating and he moved in my place… that was fine as they knew this. My house was broke into and that was one of the items taken. Filed a police report - even told them who did it with 99.9% sureness. Spoke to corporate offices and we talked. I faxed everything and the lady I was working with named Linda said she would get back to me as she said it all checked out and they would charge us 600.00 which was fine. Then lo and behold I get papers as I am being sued for 3200.00. WTF is this.

As much business as I had done with this company in the past I will no longer do business with them EVER. The store knew I had a crazy ex who is now serving time and made it a habit of stealing from me... Word of caution - make sure you have insurance if its owners or renters because yes they will lie to you and then sue you after you pay the 600 agreed on, and yes if I wasn't sued 4 yrs later I would have the receipt. Thanks a lot. I guess heart up people need to collect money somehow some way. Too bad it’s not the honest way as we had settled 4 yrs ago... Yes corporate offices in Atlanta what are you doing?

I went to Aaron's in Chattanooga to look at furniture this past weekend and ended up choosing a living room set that they had available. I was told delivery would be before 3:00pm on the following Tuesday. I took the day off work and waited at home for delivery. However, they brought the wrong furniture and had to take it back. I went into the store to have the matter resolved.

They still had the furniture I'd originally wanted, still all wrapped up and they apologized and said it would be delivered to me two days later, on Thursday and that I'd be the first delivery of the day. Later that same day, a man named Rick called me from the store to find out what was going on. He did nothing to put my mind at ease, demonstrating to me that he has no clue what is going on within his store.

I didn't worry too much about it, though, since I'd been into the store earlier in the day and was assured at that time that the matter was resolved. He said he'd look into it, and call me back. He never did. On Thursday, I once again took the day off work and waited at home, but this time no one showed up. I called the store to find out what was going on and they told me that they'd sold my furniture to someone else and it had been delivered the previous evening. Naturally, I was livid. I spoke again to Rick, who refused to provide his last name, which I found to be extremely unprofessional.

He also stated that he had it all "taken care of", because he'd ordered an identical set for me and it would be delivered to the store tomorrow evening and he could arrange a delivery date with me after that. However, I didn't agree with his assessment that he had "taken care of" anything. I'd received the wrong furniture (and they tried to overcharge me for it). I'd received assurances that the correct furniture, at the correct price, would be delivered to me first thing on the Thursday morning.

I'd taken two days off work to be at home for my furniture being delivered and now my furniture had been sold to someone else. I would highly recommend to everyone that you buy your furniture and appliances elsewhere. Rarely, if ever, have I encountered such deceit and unprofessional from a business. They say in their advertisements that "nobody does it better". I agree. Nobody screws up better than Aaron's.

I have had a relationship with Aaron's for more than 13 yrs. I am extremely grateful that there is company that allows someone on a fixed income to own quality merchandise. Yes in the beginning there are customer service issues but in the end Aaron's has NEVER let me down! This past Christmas there was a new item on the market and Aaron's people moved Heaven and Earth to get it for me before Christmas eve! I have gone to Aaron's for 13 Christmas big ticket items and paid them off in a year or two. If you pay your bill on the DUE date they won't show up at your door at 8 pm and ask for their merchandise back! If you find yourself in a financial bind...just call, they will absolutely find a way to work with you. They have given you their merchandise and they can't secure payment, they have no choice except to pick up their merchandise. Whatever the reason you cannot go to one of the Major furniture stores, why not appreciate that Aaron's affords you the opportunity to own quality merchandise in 12 to 24 months without a credit check whenever you need to and as quiet as it's kept helps your credit, I do. Started out renting a sectional back in Sept. 2013, when they finally delivered it which was almost 2 weeks later, noticed a tear in the 3 tier shelf that set in middle and they said they would order a new one and over 2 weeks later finally, decided to get a bedroom set and tvs as well. Again way too long between ordering and delivery, but I understand over 2000 customers and it's hard to get everyone taken care of, but come on really, I have always ordered new items only and didn't give a inch on that so I thought fine small issues, but when they delivered the bedroom and tv sets were still boxed from shipping.

Ok since it was almost midnight and we were tired and tired of waiting on them we said we would open boxes and assemble them ourselves. Which was fine, when we opened bedroom set there were clearly scuffs and damaged legs, I took pictures with my phone so the date of when and were would be recorded. Called the next morning and was told by lady answering phone that a damaged discount would be put on the set. NOT, when we got the bedroom set was told we would get the mattress set at half off since we were getting the bedroom set. Well that is a lie, every time we paid on bedroom set, we also paid on mattress set but the half price was not credited yet, was told that the DM was the only one who could change mattress set in system but it would be resolved.

Well my wife said she wanted a print out of payments for mattress set and bedroom set and lo and behold we had overpaid on the mattress set a whole month more the bedroom set. Tried to contact them about our figures and each time was told Zack would have to get back with us. Well the only time we heard from him was when payment was due. Being the mattress set was so screwed up it looked like our account was always behind. Well by this time I wasn't to eager to pay on time for anything. We got tired of should a, could a, would a, every time we turned around. Finally told them to come and pick EVERYTHING up 2 weeks ago. Spoke to Zack and 3 different times about picking it up and on the 11th he said "let me see when we can pick up and I will call you back." Well 3 days later finally calls back and I told him after 7 pm on Monday (today) because I wouldn't be home from work till then and my wife had to work so after 7, well they showed up at 4:30 as my wife was fixing to leave for work and she said they would have to come back after 7 and shut the door. Well it is 8:33 pm and still no AARONS.

Customer Service is joke here and their DM was no better when he called my wife and went on about when and what time she told him the same thing I had told Zack today after 7, he proceeded to say picking up everything and she told him he wasn't listening to her, pick up after 7 today and she hung up on him. Well still no show but not surprised by the service. On another note I have rented from them before in a different town and did not have any of these issues and I paid for everything in full, but will no longer trade with them and will recommend to anyone who asks or mentions Aaron's.......... DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

My issues with Aaron's started before my stackable washer and dryer set was even delivered. I went into the store and asked what electrical plug their sets ran on. I have a 110 outlet in my wash room. They said they have some that run on both. I told them that I needed the 110. No problem they said. I also told them that as I was planning to buy them and I would like a new set. No problem. I made my first payment right there in the store and was told that they had to order the set and they should have it by Friday and could set up delivery for that Saturday. (This was Monday) Friday came and went.... no one called to set up delivery.

I called them the following Monday and the lady I talked to said that she doesn't even see where the set was ordered. She ordered it and said they should have it by the end of the week and that she would personally call me when it came in to set up delivery. The next Monday comes around (it has now been 2 weeks since I have made my first payment) and I still had heard nothing. I called and the same lady that I have been dealing with said that it still has not come in and she apologized. Thursday.... still no call, so I called them again.... The set came in on TUESDAY and no one called to let me know. We set up a delivery for the next Monday as they were too busy to do it that weekend. I said that is fine but that will then be 3 weeks since I had made my first payment and had nothing as of yet. She said that would make my 2nd payment a partial payment for the inconvenience. I was fine with that.

Monday, my set was delivered.... As they were about to put it in my washroom, I noticed that it had a 220 plug.... When I asked about that, the delivery guy told me that they don't make them on a 110 anymore and that the lady at the store probably didn't realize that. I said, "ok well just leave it and I will see about getting a 220 put in." I tried for that next month to get a 220 put in only to find out that my 220 box did not have enough room for another and I could not afford to have a new box put in. I called Aaron's and told them the situation and asked them to come and pick up the set. They lady I talked to that day said that they DO in fact have the stackable sets on a 110 and she could have it delivered the same day that they picked up the 220 set.... the cost was a little higher but I was fine with that.

Pick up and delivery went fine, however, the washer was new and the dryer was obviously used. I said nothing to them until I called to make my 3rd payment and had used the set a few times. The dryer takes hours to dry a small load.... I asked her if I could order a NEW dryer and was told that they are doing away with the 110s and cannot order them new but offered to send the dryer to their repair center.... no loaner and no discount on my payment while the dryer was not in my possession. I opted out of that deal and decided to just deal with it until I could save enough money to just buy a new stackable set at Lowe's.

Before my 4th payment was made, I went into the store to set up automatic payments. My 4th payment came out no problem..... so far I have not been even a day late on my 2, 3, or 4th payments. My husband got laid off from his job the day before my 3rd payment was due and still made my payments on time. He started a new job the week before my 5th payment was due.... he would not receive a check or unemployment benefits for 3 weeks. I called to see if I could change my payment for that month only from the 15th to the 23rd. This is when my real problems started.

I started dealing with Chris. He told me that he couldn't let the payment go that far.... one week past the due date..... And I said, "well you can try to take the payment out but I have 0 dollars in the account until the 23rd." He was rude and hateful to me about being late. Stated many times that I would incur a 10 dollar late fee.... I said several times that I understand and that was fine. He was still being hateful and rude and I asked him if he would still get paid if my payment was a week late.... He replied "well of course..." So I then asked why he was so upset that I was going to be late? He had no response and put into the system that they will not charge my acct until the 23rd. Okay.... I ONLY use my acct to pay bills automatically... I don't look at it until I put money into the acct to pay the bills coming out that week.

On Tuesday, the 27th, I came home to a notice on my door knob.... I called the next day and he said they came to repossess because I hadn't made my payment. I said that payment is supposed to come out automatically. He said that the week before, their audit team came in and took some of their saved cards out of their system and mine was one of them. That story made no sense but I left it alone and then asked, "isn't it usually customary to call your customers before you repossess?" He then tried to tell me that he called all 3 of my numbers and they all said disconnected. The primary number first on their list, had indeed been disconnected in an attempt for me to save a little money while my husband was out of work. The other 2 numbers were good numbers... I use them daily.

I said, "no... only the first number is disconnected.... I used the other cell this morning and am currently, and have been using the other number to call you guys." He argued with me on it till he was blue in the face. What most likely happened was that he called the first and assumed the other two were disconnected as well and was lying to cover up his mistake (this entire convo with him, he was very rude). I made my payment and told him that I wanted to set up a time for them to come pick up the set before my next payment, due Feb. 15th, as I am buying a new set because I can get top and bottom NEW or way less than I will end up paying them. He said "ok, how about this Friday?" I said "aren't I paid up until the 15th?" He said yes and I said "then let's set it up for the 14th." His response was that he cannot set it up that far out and to call a week before I want it picked up.

Okay.... so I did that 2 days ago and he started out hateful with me and decided to inform me that I had signed a 6 month contract with them and I had one month left on that contract. I had not remembered that being in the contract, but I read it and now kind of remember reading that when I signed. No problem. I said "oh, ok that is fine but then why didn't you mention that last week when you tried to set up pick up for a week and half before my next payment was due.." He said "I did." I informed he did not. It doesn't make sense that I would have a problem paying up until the 15th to not have it until the 15th but be totally okay with having to pay for an entire 6th month without having the set.... He said, "I don't know what to tell you. I just thought you were an idiot!" (GASP) I did NOT have an issue keeping the set and paying for the 6th month until he started talking me in that manner.

At this point, they can repossess that crap and eat the 6th payment because I AM NOT PAYING it after the way I have been treated by that company. He argued with me for 10 min about whether he did or did not mention the 6 month term. He was shouting, lying, being unprofessional, and being incredibly insulting. Today, is the 13th of Feb.... my payment is due Saturday and they have called both phones (that he said were disconnected mind you) multiple times since yesterday afternoon harassing me for a payment that is not even due yet. This man knows absolutely nothing about customer service and should NOT be put in the managerial position.

I went to pay my November payment which was payment number 12 and it wouldn't let me. Said I needed to pay in store as my lease was coming to an end. I mailed in a check instead which was cashed November 30th according to my online banking. Well second week in December I received another online bill statement which would be payment number 13. I just ignored it as it could be a computer glitch or something. They started banging on our door in the dark around December 23 or 24th. Several days they have stopped in the dark and left a hang tag on my door knob. None of the times explained why. It was just listed as "other". They seemed to be thinking I was gonna actually keep paying on it.

I asked a lawyer friend and they recommended me getting corporate involved. They suggested I mail in a copy of my contract and proof of each payment and to let them know if the harassment continued, legal action would pursue. I sent it Priority Mail with signature confirmation. They signed for it on Jan. 2, 2014. Later that same day they called my mother-in-law looking for me but they didn't stop by here that night as usual. I don't know how to get rid of them. You can't just keep paying them. It's like there's no end in sight. It's really black and white. Contract stated 12 payments, and 12 was made. So what is confusing about that??

I do not have an account with this company and they made contact with me for someone that listed me as a reference, which it is unbelievable the level of respect they have for others and the extent of their communication method. Do not do business with Aaron's!

BUYERS BEWARE! This company is at the bottom of the barrel. WORST COMPANY EVER! Just like most of the complaints here on this company I too fell a victim to these maggots! My nightmare began when I purchase a bedroom set from them. They delivered my bedroom suit, and the guys was putting it up, I notice that the foot board was damaged. I stated that this is not new furniture because you could clearly see it was damage. I was told to contact the store that day. I called while the guys was putting my bedroom suit up. I was told by a female rep that they will have me a new one that following week. Well the next week she told me that did not have another and she will order me one.

Well I'm here to tell you twelve months had passed into the contract and I never received another call. One day I was making a payment over the phone and I told the guy on the other end I still haven't received my new foot board and I stated that the bed rails was broke and I have ins so I want it fixed or replaced. He agreed while taking my payment he was going to send some out to fix it. Needless to say I took off work two days going back and forth with these idiots, and neither time no one showed. I knew I coming to the end of my contract, but I refuse to let them get away with my hard earn money!

I said I wasn't going to make a payment until they called me on the phone and I could speak with the manager. When I finally spoke with him after I told him I was contacting Corp he rush out here to look at it. He told me "oh that could be fixed with no problem". Here we go again. No one came by until I held the next payment and received a call wanting my money. Well he send two clowns to fix it alright. This is how they fixed it (With a glop of white clunky glue) no professional fix. I found this out when the bed broke in the same place and I had my son to lift my bed up to put books under it to keep it from sitting on the floor. I have three or four payments left and they will not receive another dime from me. I am looking forward to my day in court. They have called everyone on my list, and has constantly harass my job with phone calls for payment. I told everyone that I put down to tell them "she said see her in court." I wish they showed me the sense of urgency like they seem to have when it comes to collecting their money. I am done dealing with these people. Talk to my Lawyer!

Bought a 20 hp tractor from them new? Don't think so. Two weeks of use off to the shop, six weeks without one. I tell them I want a second on exactly the same size. In the meantime the 1st one gets returned to me in working order other than the fact that the wiring was all cut up by the prior RENTER? So they go ahead and drop off the second tractor which would not start right off the bat. The driver stated, "We just repossessed this and was told to drop it off here. Its battery needs to be charged." I explained this tractor is only a 16 hp and is much smaller than what I need for our farm. I was told to make it work and they left. Well we tried. Ends up it had a bad wiring harness so I went to the store and spoke with Brian the manager and explained what was wrong. He said it was under warranty and would have it fixed if I would give him a date I could pay it off. Mind you, this is in Sept.

I said I would pay it in full in November if it were fixed so the rest of Sept goes by as well as all of Oct. No one picks up the tractor. Nov 1st 25 phone calls wanting payment, 147 phone calls thru Nov, tractor still sitting waiting to be picked up. My wife calls and tells them to come get their piece of junk it does not work and we told them this in Sept. Brian's response was that she a liar no one ever said a thing so we call corporate. They give us a return issue #. Said they would get it in 25 hrs. 4 more days go by I call corporate, tell them I filing an abandoned vehicle report. That got their attention. The regional manager called and said 24 hrs they would get it the next day. He calls back and said he got a different story from the store manager, whatever. Anyways turns out the tractor is 2 yrs old and has no warranty but they picked it up anyways. What a hassle.

UPDATE: Just got another call from a regional accounts manager JOHN stating they now want my 20 hp tractor returned which was paid in FULL in Sept. Well I hope they have a GOOD attorney because I do. Buyer beware, false advertising is a crime as well as listing used items in a contract as new. Please make sure you get a receipt.

My living room set was supposed to have an ottoman but it was on back order. The pieces that they did deliver had pillows to it and when the drivers was setting it up they ripped it and they hurry and put the pillows on it. I notice when they left and I called them. Then they told me that it was on back order twice and I had to call corporate on them. Then and only then did they start moving to get me my items.

Just like many of the comments I have read Aaron's harasses and badgers me constantly if my payment isn't made by the 1st of every month. They call multiple times daily and show up at my home. They call every one on the list. My payment is always made every month. Today was the last straw for me. I'm 8 months pregnant with my 3rd child and supposed to have low stress. The door bell rang today and I could tell through the beveled glass the red shirt and Aaron's logo. I ignored the first ring. The doorbell went off 3 more times and the the guy went to his car, phoned the manager and the manager badgered me on the phone for ten minutes until I gave in, opened the door and give them my credit card info and payment day.

This is ridiculous! Why must I be bothered like this? I'm not a confrontational person and they make me one. I just want to make my payment online according to my biweekly payment schedule and be done with it. Why do they spend this much energy bothering their customers? Does that consume most of their work load for the month? I thought they were in the business of leasing, not debt collecting? I have 6 payments left. Please God let me get through it with calling my attorney for advice again!

Went in to rent a washer/dryer for a couple of months; just temporary. Paid for the first month and was told the combo would be delivered on Thursday and was called the next day and was unable to get in contact with anyone telling us why. Friday they called and said they were looking for a hose for the washing machine. Who rents something and don't have all of the product? Called Saturday and spoke with a lady and the district manager was suppose to call us back but instead went home. We went up there and the sales manager would not come out of his office to speak with us or anything. An employee went to the back and found the hose and delivered the product by himself.

We called a week before the new month came in to let them know we would no longer need the washer and dryer and was told it was a short work week and it would be next week before they can come and get it. We politely told them we would not be making another payment and supposedly they were working on sending someone out. The next week someone called looking for a payment and we politely let them know that it was suppose to be picked up. They made an appointment to come and pick it up on a Thursday but didn't come because of the weather... The weather wasn't bad and we were only less than 5 minutes away from them. The guy was suppose to call us back but never did. Didn't hear anything from them until the next week.

Once I called and my son called and told them to pick it up only then did they come and get it. Just got a bill in the mail for payment. NOT PAYING IT AND WILL GET A LAWYER. It sickens me to know that a business is being ran like this!!!

On August 19th, 2013 my husband and I leased a Dell laptop from the Aaron's in Greer, SC. On August 18th my husband and I stopped by the store to see what they had available. I explained to the store manager that we intended on completing our lease and taking ownership of the laptop after the 12 month period; so, I did not want a laptop that had been previously leased out. The manager assured me that I would receive a new laptop. When we returned on Aug 19th we paid the 1st payment of $116.58. When the store rep. brought out the laptop there was no box. I was told that the laptop had been opened that morning and she (store representative) claimed that the box had been disposed off that morning.

When I got home I began looking through the computer's properties and realized that the computer had been booted up for the 1st time on August 13th, 2013 and all of the software trials were close to expiring. We immediately returned the laptop to the store to complain. They gave us a free copy of antivirus software and assured us that the laptop had only been used for display purposes. We had our doubts especially since they lied to us in the first place, but I had to have a laptop for my online class and we did not want to lose our initial payment. We made an online payment in Sept. as scheduled. In Oct. an Aaron's employee showed up at our house 4 days before our payment was due demanding payment or the laptop. We explained to her that our due date was the 15th not the 11th and she left.

That same month (Oct) my husband was laid off; so, we made arrangements to pay $73 then and the rest on Nov. 15th. Between the time we paid the $73 and the agreed due date of Nov. 15th Aaron's employees showed up at our home on 3 different occasions. On one occasion I was showering and my 8 year old daughter was in her bedroom. She came running to me very scared saying someone was knocking on her window. When I looked outside I saw the Aaron's truck and an employee walking away from my house. The following day another Aaron's employee came to our home at 8:30pm on a school night. Angry because our 20 month old son and our daughter was sleeping and our dogs were going crazy my husband told him that we would be by with a payment or the laptop at the end of the week. My husband also explained about our daughter's window being knocked on and that I was extremely upset about it. He assured my husband that was not appropriate and that he would bring it up during the employee meeting the following morning.

After all of these issues my husband and I decided to terminate our lease. I began backing up all of our files. On Tuesday Dec. 10th another Aaron's employee came to our home once again well after dark. My husband told him that I was in the process of backing up our files and deleting our personal info off the machine. He told him that I would bring the laptop to the store the next day. The employee called the manager to ask for approval. The manager asked what time I'd be there and I told him I had class and it would be late afternoon, but before closing. We also gave them our new home phone number and the employee left.

The next day Aaron's called my husband's mother and uncle before 12 noon. The representative told each of them that they needed to get their laptop back from us. They had our new number, they knew where we lived and in addition we had made arrangements to return the laptop that day. They not only called our family members, but openly provided them the specifics of the debt telling them that we had their laptop, we were not making the payments and were refusing to return it. I will NEVER EVER do business with Aaron's or any other lease company again. Huge mistake!!!

I rented a washer machine from Aaron's in 2012. A few months into my agreement, I had a health condition and required to be admitted repeatedly to the hospital. Throughout it all, I maintained contact with Aaron's and let them know what was happening. When I moved, I gave them my forwarding information and explained I was moving months before I did so. Towards the last 5 payments, I was on bedrest and then hospitalized and had multiple surgeries. They repeatedly called my references even when they were told that I was hospitalized and could not speak to them. They called everyone I knew and told them I was charged with theft and even sent a letter to my home saying I had a warrant. I told them I was hospitalized and I was losing my baby and I would settle things once I returned home.

When I was released from the hospital, I paid my bill and they were very rude and disrespectful when I paid off my account. I told them I was hospitalized and could not do anything, I nearly died. A few months later, I received a letter from Aaron's saying I owed them money and I started to receive phone calls from them even though I had paid off the account and had my receipt. It took them months to stop calling me even though I called their offices and verified I had no debt, their corporate office kept harassing me and sending letter saying I still owed them. I would never do business with them again. I have previously had another account with them and paid off a 72 inch TV in less than the 30 days. They will get my business no more. The TV I discovered had issues with the volume and I was unable to have it fixed because I paid it off early.

I leased a washing machine the third week in September from Aaron's. First use of machine, the water temperature was not functioning right. Machine fills up with water but doesn't stop when it reaches level. Have to stop machine, let some water out, start machine and it begins to rock and shake. Called store, talked with Shae, Ashley, Malaika and the manager Mike. All about the washer. Was told by Ashley that I could get new one as this washer was new. I chose a new one which was the Samsung platinum machine. She said the machine would arrive in a few days brand new from the manufacturer's warehouse. It did arrive, not in a box but all wrapped up in plastic and scratched up and dirty from another store.

Called back and complained again. Was told I would receive another machine. This time, it would be delivered on Friday. Received a call from Ashley or Shae, don't recall which one, but was told that one of the trucks caught a flat so they could not deliver my washer until next Tuesday. I politely told them I would not wait that long and they could come get the one I had and return my cash back to me. Was told they could not do that. Made a complaint and received a call from the district manager. Told him what the situation was and what happened. He asked me if there was anything he could do to rectify the situation and offered me incentives.

I did not accept any offers and told him that I would be happy if he just returned my money. He informed me that I would have to come into the store and swipe my card to get my money back, even though I did the transaction over the phone. As of today, December 7, 2013, I received a letter from Aaron's saying I now owe them money, after me asking for a refund and not accepting their offer. How ironic is that?

I was late one day and I called them and told them I would be in on Friday to make my payment. They sent two people to my house at night to intimidate/harass me. I am a single female and I do not open my door at night for no one. They kept knocking on my door and when I asked who it was, they ask me to open my door without identifying themselves. I asked twice. I thought someone was trying to break into my house and rob me so I got my gun and told them to get away from my door, and that I had a gun. They finally said they were from Aarons. I was so angry!! They came to collect a payment or the furniture. I told them to get off my property and never set foot on property again. Nobody is coming to my house to bully/intimidate/threaten me. They left. I called headquarters and talk to another dummy who said that is what they do. They picked the wrong person. And I plan to sue.

My husband and I work and have other things going on during their store hours. Even after I explain to them the situation they continue to harass me and my references. They tell me they will take my card information via phone but I don't trust them at all. I don't understand, if you have history with them and have always paid for 2 years why they harass you so much. This whole experience has been hell and I wish I would have never dealt with them.

I rented a washer/dryer from Aaron’s (not sure of the date). I had them hold the dryer until I sold the one I had, so 3 days later I told them to deliver the dryer. After paying on this combo, I realized that they were charging me for two separate agreements. I submitted a complaint to the BBB and they responded, finally, and agreed to combine the 2 agreements. My payment only decreased by $5, which doesn't sound right to me.

They harass me about making payments. They don't give you 3 days grace as stated, but will call you the day after your payment is due. They were charging me a $5 late fee per agreement, that is how I found out I had two agreements instead of one. I have explained to them my financial situation and that my son requires medication and we are waiting to hear back from Medicaid, but they still harass me. If you return the merchandise to swap out on something cheaper, the money you have paid towards the current agreement does not roll over to the new merchandise. Talk about rip off! When this is paid off, I will NOT rent from them again!

Renting from Aaron's is like selling your soul to the devil. Look at their satisfaction rating: 95% that wrote a review are dissatisfied, 85% of them are "angry". I would never rent anything from them again. They have called me at times 5 minutes after their store closed on the day my payment was due. I explained to them that their store closes before I get back into town from work so I mostly pay online. They call your references (a reference is just that, once they get the reference they should not be allowed to call that person again.

They harass your references and even if that person tells them to stop calling, they say they will not.) and show up at your door letting everyone know your business and even leave call tags on the door that hang there all day until you get home. They say you have a 3-day grace period but that does not stop them from calling starting the first day your payment was due. I have no respect for this company. They should be ashamed of their business practices.
