A subway advertisement running on TV is saying all sub are $5 for the month of February 2011. I visited and ordered a cheese stack sub and the manager told me this sub is not included in the special. I told him there is an advertisement running on TV saying all subs are $5. I was not allowed to but the sub for $5, only at regular price of $7. This advertisement is confusing customers and this is false advertisement in a community.

I was served chicken fillet subs that were microwaved for a very short time- under 40 seconds, with steak in the same microwave. I have paid hundreds of dollars for undercooked meat from this store. I contacted a senior manager at Subway and they bent over to help me. I was so happy with the outcome that I thought I would post the senior manager's email, he seems more than interested to know what is going on in his restaurants and will rectify any problems any customer may have. I am sure he can address any concerns you may have regarding Subway's food quality. He sure helped me. Drop him a line if you have any complaints, he is glad to help.

In September 2010, I worked for Subway for 7 hours. The Manager, who was named Clarence, said I should go back on payday to pick up my check. When I went back, Clarence no longer worked there and since then, the owner, Jose has been avoiding my calls and refused to assist me and has refused to pay me for my 7 hours. I clocked in and out on the computer which is proof that I worked. What should I do to get my pay for the 7 hours worked?

Last Sunday, I paid $20.56 and bought a tuna sandwich and a bottle of orange juice for $9.56 (included tax) at New York’s Kings Plaza Mall and then I tried to find my seat to put down my sandwich first. Then when I came back to get my change, the cashier refused to change the $11 back to me. Does anyone know what she told me when I asked for my change? She said she cannot change $11 back to me. She said she changed for me already. But I never get it. How can this happen?
The seat is 2 meters away and I just tried to put my sandwich first since there was too much crowd. But she refused to give me back my change and she asked me to call back next day after counting the cash. Does anyone agree a phone call is the good way to solve an argument? Does anyone know what she meant by call back tomorrow? I know because I worked as a customer service representative. Usually, when a manager asked you to call back next day means ask you to get out. This is the skill to solve the problem or argument. I truly understand why she asked me to call back.
1). When you argue with her, you bother other customers, so some customer will leave. As a result, the company made lesser money.
2). As a manager, if employee or customer complain, he/she would not report to the supervisor because it may affect the promotion or sometime even being fired. That's why when the security guard wants to check the camera, she said nothing. She was scared. And then next day, I tried to file a complaint twice, and asked them to send a gift card for me because I believe issuing gift card is the best way to prevent a company losing the money they earned before. But by now I have never got any response nor got my cash back. Hello, all Subway restaurant managers and customer service representatives: I've made purchase in drugstore.com and newegg.com and their customer service representatives offered individual credit discount for me. Why you cannot just consider offering discount for a 12 years royal customer?
I lost $11 and there’s still has no outcome.

I ordered a 6" sandwich. Whilst I was waiting for it to get toasted, I noticed flies around the meat and fresh produce. I immediately brought it to the attention of this server named Gato. His response was "What do you want me to do?" (!) He was reluctant to do anything about it. It's very upsetting.

They have a new Subway card that allows consumers to earn points toward discounts. You have to register and provide email, address information. The form said I could opt out of email notifications after I receive my first email. Well, the system didn't allow that after receiving confirmation email. I'll be getting spam email from Subway which is time consuming to delete and annoying.

I just left Subway #3219 in San Clemente, CA (Aug 31, 2010 - 3:30pm). I asked for a Turkey Avocado Sand plus I'd like to add some ham on it as well. They said no. I then said I want to pay extra to add some ham & they still said no. I then talked to the "shift leader" & they still said no. Next I asked if there is any way I can order Turkey & Ham on the same sandwich? They still said no, so I told them I want the number to their corporate office as I want to make a complaint. Who do they think they are? People like this should be fired & the store closed if they cannot meet simple customer requests.

I purchased a cold cut trio foot long on wheat bread. I got home and ate the sandwich and while eating it I noticed green mold on the end of the meat.
I went back to store and dealt with Keith who appeared to be drunk who said, "You went home then came back and now expect a new sandwich. For all I know you put the moldy meat on the bread." He then continued to insult and embarrass me in front of other customers, he would not give me a refund or just another sandwich for which I did not want at that point. He then said, "You go and call the district office and complain to them because here you get nothing.
I then left embarrassed. I really would like a formal complaint letter sent to him without my name nor address on there. I fear for retaliation.

I had a coupon that stated buy a regular 6" sub of equal or greater value with 21oz drink and receive a free 6" sandwich. I thought this meant that I could order a foot long (this was be a sandwich of greater value) and still get the free smaller sub sandwich. When he gave the coupon to the clerk, the clerk should have told me that I had to order a 6", not a foot long. Instead, he charged me for 3 sandwiches. I took my coupon and then took one sandwich away. The charge should have been $7.13 and he charged me $9.54. He did this two weeks in a row.
I called the store and another clerk was rude, stating that I had the wrong store. I confronted the manager and he said this employee has a problem with English and that its not his fault. He then told me that the clerk doesn't have time to clarify with the customer's order or to validate what they are ordering even if it doesn't match the coupon. They basically do what they want. He should have told me that he was charging me for 3 sandwiches and that what I was ordering didn't match the coupon. The workers there, with the exception of 1 gal, are rude, can't speak or understand English enough to run their business without problems. In short they charged me $4.82 ($2.41 twice $7.16, $7.24) without my permission.

In store #7BDv8Q1skn59 the Subway store emits a terrible odor with the cooking that it does that we cannot take as much time as we would like to shop. The whole store has this odor and we find it very objectionable. We have shopped in other WalMart stores and do not find this odor throughout any other store. We feel that this should be vented properly so that this odor does not permeate through the whole store.

It was January 8, 2010 about 7:30 p.m. Outside temperature was 25 degrees. We went in and noticed it was cold. We ordered our sandwich. We sat down to eat and we also noticed we were the only people there. We started talking to the 2 girls that were working there and they told us that there is no heat in that establishment. And they have had no heat all winter long. Their owner is always going to have it fixed. But it never gets fixed. He owns several of these Subways. 3 more in Texarkana, Texas. Two on Stateline Avenue and one on Richmond Road.
These girls have to work in very cold temperatures. The girl that opens in the morning is miserable until she turns those ovens on and gets a little heat going. Now we understand why no one else was there. We were freezing too. We finally wrapped our meal up and took it with us. They told us everyone uses the drive thru now. This, to me should be unacceptable work ethics. I really did not know whom to contact. Maybe you can help, or you can tell me who else I can report this to. Establishment should have heat for workers and customers. Temperatures are 25 degrees outside.

A worker at Subway had been giving me subs with sauce all over the wrapper. One day, when I asked her to please give me a clean wrapper, she became agitated. She then put 3 meatballs on one of my six-inch subs (there are supposed to be 4). Then, she put a messy spoon of sauce where the 4th meatball was supposed to go. When I told her to please give me the 4th meatball, she said it wouldn't fit. When I said I was going to call the manager, she threw the sub in the trash because she didn't want me to show the manager. Then, she said she just couldn't serve my family that night.
We didn't go back for a long time, and when we did go back almost 2 months later, she said her manager had said she no longer had to serve my family ever. I called corporate office to speak with customer relations 3 times, and was promised each time that someone from the store would call me. The 4th time I called, I finally got a supervisor that said the owner would call me. He did, at 10:30am on a Thursday when I wasn't home. I called him back about 2 in the afternoon and he was gone. He never returned my call after that.

I am a regular customer at both Subways (Old Kings and Phillips), and I know that they are owned by the same person. Depending on how much time I have daily, I choose which store to go to. I was at the Old Kings store on Friday, the 24th of July, around 5:15. What I saw and heard was rude. I know the managers at both stores, but I am not sure what the name of the manager is at Old Kings store is. However, I do know Joanna and she was there. I am assuming she was off the clock, helping the employee who was working.
From what I understand, she was running behind. So I saw Joanna and the new girl from Phillips go to the back and help do the dishes. That's when the manager of the Old Kings store came in, went to the back, and made a rude comment to Joanna: "Oh look, Joanna wants to really work now." I overheard her say this to Joanna, and I thought that it was extremely rude, considering that she didn't even offer to help the employee who was working. And Joanna and the other new employee were there to help. I go to the Phillips store a lot, and I know Joanna is a hard worker, because she is always at her store. I didn't think that it was right for your other manager to make such a rude comment to someone who obviously works hard and was simply trying to give a helping hand.

Subway is advertising 5ft longs. The word any is flashing and the voice says "any," and I mean any. We went to subway. It's a lie. In fine print on the board inside a store it says, "Any except for specialty subs." My son and I went thinking he would get his favorite and so would I (the BMT and the Feast). When we got there, we ordered and were immediately told those two are not $5.00. I said, "But the commercial says any." The worker said, "I know, sorry. Read here" (he pointed to the menu board where it says any sub for $5.00 other than specialty subs). We were there for those specific subs. I ended up paying $18.00 instead of $11.00 (figuring $1 for tax). I am on a limited budget, but I had promised my kid I would get him the sub he loves because I thought I was getting the price they advertised. I could have walked out, but doesn't make it better.
When a company says any, they have to mean any. I am sick of companies being allowed to lie. People work hard for their money and Subway shouldn't be allowed to lie to take our money. A minimum wage worker has to work for over an hour to earn a $5.00 meal. Subway makes millions. Not fair. I should be able to get any sub I want for the advertised price. People don't do anything about it because when they try, nothing happens. I would like to be able to say I wrote Consumer Affairs and they took action on the people's behalf. We can make this country better if we make the effort. Thank you.

I ordered a big philly cheesestake footlong combo and had a $5 giftcard. The cashier told me I can't use the giftcard and pay the difference with my credit card because they can not charge 2 cards together. I paid with my credit card and requested for the $5 in cash for the gift card because under Senate Bill 250, I have the right to redeem my card that is under $10. The cashier told me they do not give cash back.
I requested to speak with the manager and cashier told me she was the manager. The cashier told me she'll call the owner after I told her that she is breaking the law by withholding the cash that I can get back with the subway gift card. When she came back after the call with the owner, she told me to go back to the store that sold me the card because that's the only way I can get my cash back. It's a gift card so how am I supposed to know which subway it was purchased from.
I am in distress. I ended up having to charge the whole $9.57 to my credit card. I feel that I've been wronged and I know they are breaking the law but I feel like there is nothing I can do about it. I was so angry that I couldn't even enjoy the rest of my day.

On 2/21/08 at around 10:00 am, I was at the Subway store on 1811 Monocacy blvd in Frederick, MD 21702 phone 3013050106. I noticed a Banner sign that read "ALL 12" SUBS $5.00 ALL DAY EVERY DAY." I decided to order a 12" steak sub..nothing extra on it, assuming it would be $5.00. When the order was finished..the price cam to a whopping $7.94! Merchant ID 028100080983 Terminal ID 001.
At that point, I asked the merchant why the sub wasn't $5.00, and she replied, "this doesn't apply to steak subs." I was too embarrassed to cancel the order after she had gone through the trouble of making my sub. However, if I would have had a large family I was ordering for with me, I would have been extremely upset with the false advertising. I then came home and decided to email Subway Customer Service to report what I thought was misleading or false advertising. I explained the situation in an email dated 2/21/08. On 2/1/08, I received a form letter from in Subway Customer Service indicating that because Subway locations are individually owned and operated, they could not be responsible. Subway did not even offer an apology for this event.
I don't usually complain about companies, but I felt strongly that this was a scam on the part of Subway to advertise all 12" subs $5.00 with no exclusions, and then ring up a 12" sub for $7.94. Please investigate and stop this problem from happening to others.
