Today I went to our Salinas Main Street Subway, it is a drive through. I ordered one sandwich and a drink it came out to $13. Every time I go to a different Subway the charge is different. Very expensive.

Aug 17 2016 07:05 AM Went into the Cedarville Subway (Store #58767-0) yesterday with my wife and son. When we approached the counter, there was nobody in the sandwich area (not so unusual), but then a woman came out of the backroom and was nearly immediately not too friendly (didn't say hello or anything). I was carrying in my hand my wallet, car key, and a big yellow coupon. She went from unfriendly to surly quickly. She asked what we wanted and I said three subs, two footlongs and a six-inch sub. She grabbed the bread, cut it roughly, and pushed the cut bread down hard as to make the bread flat. She then tossed (not placed) the ingredients on the sandwiches, taking little care as to the positioning of the ingredients on the bread. She was quite rough with our sandwiches the entire time that she was making them.

Also, my wife normally gets tomatoes on her veggie but she did not request them because they look spoiled. The pickles also did not look to be in such good shape (kind of shriveled up). Also, I asked for chipotle sauce to be put on my sandwich and I could not believe the amount of sauce that she put on, it was drowning in chipotle sauce and given her demeanor the whole time I was afraid to even say anything. The entire time that she was making the sandwiches she looked to be in just a foul mood and made us feel unwelcome. At the checkout I gave her the coupon and it was for a free six-inch sub with 2 foot-long subs, or for a dollar off. Instead of giving us the free sub, she gave us the one dollar off and I asked why and she made some excuse.

At any rate, I was feeling very bad about the experience and when we Sat down at a table to eat my wife again commented on my sandwich looking awful drowning in that chipotle sauce. Starting to feel frustrated with the whole experience, I told my family that we would take the subs and go eat at home. I went to the front counter asking for bags so that we could leave and she only gave me one bag even though we bought three sandwiches. I then asked her for a few more bags and she just ripped off a few more and gave them to me with a scowl on her face. We put the sandwiches in the bags and left. On the way home about a mile from the shop I decided that we really shouldn't have to pay for the experience so we would return to the store to return the sandwiches and explained that we will ask for a credit from MasterCard for the sandwiches.

At that point she exploded and screamed at me to get out of the store and came around the corner of the counter as if she was going to physically assault me screaming at me the entire time. I was a bit nervous to be fair. I had never raised my voice to her, I had only told her that we were unhappy but that seemed to make her more aggravated. At any rate by the time she came around the counter screaming for me to leave I walked out the front door with her on my tail yelling at me. When I got outside she followed me outside and as I got in the car with my family she screamed that she was going to call the police and wrote down our license plate number. I told her to go ahead and call the police and have them come explaining that being unhappy with poor service and bad sandwiches was not a crime.

She then ran back in the shop and grabbed the sandwiches and then as we were pulling away she hurled the sandwiches at our car thank God she missed. When we got home I called the bank to dispute the charge and also called the Subway corporate to explain to them what had happened. Later that evening I called our bank to dispute the charge for the sandwiches. I also called Subway corporate to complain. As we had eggs and hashbrowns at home later after the incident my wife recalled when we were there a week or two earlier and a worker explained that the owners really hated coupons. So my guess is that when the woman who may have been an owner saw the big yellow coupon in my hand it immediately put her in a bad mood toward us. At any rate, we will certainly not be going back there anymore and would encourage anyone who would consider going there not to do it.

I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich from the Subway on Louisiana & Indian School. The gentleman doing my sandwich grabbed the meat, which was wrapped and put it on my bread. It was crumbles of steak, I think, and the amount was so small he had to spread it to make it fit the 6" bread. I asked him "Is that all the meat you are putting on there." He just stared at me. My sandwich looked like a flat bread. I ordered an Italian sub and couldn't believe how little meat was on there, so I loaded up on the toppings. It was so disappointing that the next day I went to Dion's to get what I call a real Italian sub. Lots of meat and free chips and a pickle, all for about the same price. All the things you have to pay extra for at Subway.

I had the pleasure of Julie making (sneezing) my sandwich. When I got home, my bread was doughy & soggy. I called to speak to the manager. Julie told me the manager wasn't there, I wasn't getting a free sandwich. She told me not to call or come back again. Julie then said ** off & hung up. My adult children don't speak to me this way. Reduce price... reduce material inside the sandwich. Feel like eating bread. I walked to Subway on Lockeford Rd, Lodi CA order a sandwich. She was counting the lettuce, olive, onion and bell pepper. I asked her why. She mention we should put 6 each on sandwich or $2 extra for 6 more on my sandwich. I don't think I ever eat subway bread for $6.50.

I order subs on 8/4/16 using the Subway app. which stated the restaurant was open until 10 pm. I placed the order at 9:10 pm and was given a 9:24 pm pickup time and my credit card was charge accordingly. Upon arrival I find the restaurant closed 9:20 pm. I called and an employee cleaning stated they closed at 9 since the beginning of the year. There was nothing she could do to help me. She told me they were aware of the issue and asked the franchise owner to address that issue several time along with other unnamed issues. He didn't seem to care. I was asked to come in the following day before 2 pm and the manager might be able to help. I arrived at 11 am. The manager was out and wouldn't be back until sometime next week. The employees were extremely rude. I was not offered to have my ordered fulfilled or a refund.

I contacted Subway's corporate office and was told they couldn't help me. They would email the franchise owner but ultimately the choice was his to respond to me or offer any compensation or refund. Now this place has my money and refuses to assist me and I received no product as well. I consider this to be theft. No contact from the owner has been made and he's unreachable. Called back to corporate and they became rude and hung up on me. I had to contact the credit card issuer to handle the matter. This subway is located 226 Market street Sunbury PA. 17801. Phone number 570-988-7827. I was informed the franchise owner's name a **.

Went to Subway off of West Ave in San Antonio Texas and got food poisoning from their broccoli and cheese soup. I had to go to ER for medicine to stop from vomiting. When I recovered from my stomach virus I told the manager and all he did was refund my money. I should have known the soup was bad because before I bought it I asked the worker "Is it pretty good?" He said "I wouldn't know. I do eat the soup from here..." I will never eat soup from Subway again. I wish they could pay my doctor bill.

Most of the Subway stores I go to seem downright irritated when I use my points. On top of that many of the reps don't even know how to put them through. I've used the app five times in the last two months and three of those times they didn't have my order ready when I got there 15 minutes later. I order through the app because I only have a 30 minute lunch break. I don't have all day to wait on my food. Also and this is a big one for me. I eat Subway a lot, why can't I use my points on the app? That is garbage. I'm one more bad visit from never doing business with them again.

I went to Subway because I was running low on time. When I got there only five other people were in line so I thought it was perfect and I would have enough time to eat before work, boy was I wrong. There was only one worker working and she was sneezing while making sandwiches and there were flies that keep landing on the sandwiches and she didn't even try to get them off. I originally felt really bad because she was the only worker. I waited in line for thirty minutes before she even made it to my brother and I. When we ordered she was really rude and even got an attitude with my brother who is eleven and even raised her voice with him and all he was doing was ordering. Finally we made it to the register after thirty seven minutes in line we were free to go. Long story short I didn't even have time to eat my sandwich before work. This horror story probably wouldn't have happened if there was more than one worker.

You may have noticed that national chain restaurants are wildly variable regarding quality of food and cleanliness standards. Being a certified food safety expert, one of the first things I look for when I enter an establishment are attention to safe food handling practices. The standards of the Subway at 6801 St. Andrews Road in Irmo, SC, Store #1428-0, are the best I have seen for this chain. They keep their food bays covered between customers, their food preparation surfaces are immaculate, and even the area under the fountain drink machine was clean!

The associate, **, who was on duty at 5:40pm on 7/23/2016 was extremely professional and gave me many choices as to how I wanted the sub prepared, like whether I wanted my meats on the sub when toasting the sub, and whether or not I would like the cheese toasted as well! Overall, one of the best establishments I have ever patronized. Needless to say, the finest Subway sub I have ever eaten!

I recently bought a sub from Subway which by the way was very delicious and the service was excellent but I was very disappointed with the portion size of the bread itself. It looks as though it's very thin now as to where before it was a lot bigger bread. They charge the same but with less food which is what I'm finding also in a lot of supermarket products everywhere... Same price (if not more) but less portion!! Very dissatisfied and will not buy from Subway again.

Every once in a while, I visit Subway Restaurants to get something "fresh" to eat. I've had so many experiences when I show them my subway point card through an app, where I store all of my cards, and they don't know what to do with it. Many times they've tried to scan my phone face to face with the Display of their card scanner. It's funny because it clearly doesn't work like that. Since subway never had a barcode/QRcode scanner, they could either only swipe the points card, use the card number (shown also in app), or use the phone number associated with the account. Unfortunately, most of them don't know the rest of the options. So if you don't have the card with you, don't expect points.

Well, there's really no big deal for that one. But I just don't understand why these restaurants get an A rating when, first, they don't even know how to use gloves. They use gloves to touch everything - not only to hold your food, but also to touch the sauces, carry the pan, open the oven, clean the chopping board, wipe their nose, and probably to hold the trash too. And second, many of them talk and laugh too much in front of the food. Not cool. I don't recommend.

The back of the card did state that yet it also stated "Unless otherwise stated by us." Their own website does state that the card doesn't expire. I took that to mean the points also. AT NO TIME was I informed of my losing points prior to them doing it. It was under the local Subway manager that I was saving points to give to my children when they go to college. My daughter stopped at Subway last night and ordered a 6" ham & turkey with American cheese on white. She stepped up to pay for her sandwich and handed the cashier a $10 bill to pay for her order which came to $4 and change. The cashier closed the till and said, "Well, have a good night." She asked for her change. He told her that her sandwich had come up to $10.00 so there was no change. She again asked for her change (and since she's a teenager, it might have been snotty... can't say as I wasn't there). The cashier refused and told her that he didn't want to deal with her in that tone of voice. So she, had been having a bad day, said "whatever, I don't care" and left. She told me the story when she got home and I immediately called the store. The lady who made her sandwich answered and remembered her. She said she would leave a note for the manager who would be in at 8 am and he would call me.

At 2 pm, I had not received a call, so I stopped in the store and asked to speak with the manager and identified myself as the lady who called the evening before and what I was there about. He said he was meaning to call me because he looked at the tape and my daughter had handed the clerk a $5 bill. So, it's his word against hers. But according to my daughter, she had a $5 bill and a $10 bill in her pocket, and she still has the $5 bill, so that means she handed him the $10 bill. I guess I tend to believe my daughter. Perhaps the clerk made an honest mistake, but I can't imagine he would make a comment that her sandwich came up to $10 if he didn't know she had given him a $10 bill. I wish she had saved the receipt.

On top of this, the employees are NOT trained properly so I have to remind them to wear gloves or not touch their clothing to wipe something when they are making my sandwich. The last guy literally wiped his dripping nose and continued to make my sandwich as if this was normal!!! He seemed to have allergies or a cold yet was at work and allowed to make food! I was disgusted! On top of this, Food Babe reported the toxic chemicals in their breads that we've all been eating and the company won't change this until 2017! I just had my worst experience as a customer. Every year I bring a lunch to the kids of my daughter's school. I have done Quiznos and Pizza Hut and it was always a great experience. They really understand the time, that is for a school, that we need to be there when it's their lunch time. Apparently that is not the Subway understanding. My order was done and paid yesterday at 8:00am for 30 sandwiches, and I made sure to tell the manager that it was for a school and that the lunch time was 1:05 and I would need the sandwiches done by 12:30pm today.

I got there at 12:35pm today and I waited on line until my turn to talk to the cashier. The manager was the cashier and first he wouldn't look at me to start the conversation. Then he finally told me he needed a minute. I waited. I realize nobody would come back and everyone of the staff would look at me as they were scared.

I finally asked one of the girls that was working and she told me she would bring me my order. A minute later she said they could not have done my order, that they were sorry and maybe another time. I said, I paid for it and I really need them. Apparently that was too rude for one of the staff member and he asked me to leave the store and he was ready to give my money back. I got really mad. I said to them I never saw anything like that. I yelled. I said I will wait for the sandwiches and after that some of the staff to started to prepare them. Do they think they could just make it go away?

Meanwhile I called the school and said I was going to be late and explained why. When sandwiches were done, they gave me a box and I had to count them myself. There was 24 sandwiches in the box. I had to stay a little more at the store. If I could I would leave, but I couldn't do that with all 28 kids hungry at school. All done I asked the name of the guy who doesn't have any idea who was the customer over there (and I did my part, I paid in advance and I ordered in advance). What to do when you feel really disrespected as a customer? Does Subway cares to say "I am sorry we will do the right thing and help you with your future orders?"

I enjoy eating at Subway. I always order their veggie delight with sweet onion and chipotle sauce. I love that their sandwiches are always overflowing, they are always generous with their ingredients. I also like the idea of watching my food being assembled in front of me, like in an assembly line. I just wish that they do not reuse their plastic disposable gloves, I'm a vegetarian and I don't like meat touching my food. So if the customer ahead of me orders something with meat in it, I wish I wouldn't have to tell them to switch gloves. It should be automatic.

I've always liked eating at Subway here in our country. It's a (sort of) healthy food alternative when I get tired of the usual fatty, greasy and unhealthy fast food options at the malls. The ingredients are always fresh, or at least they appear to be (one can never be truly sure). Plus the sandwiches are made right in front of me, so I know what they're putting in my food. The staff are always friendly and they know when and when not to offer promos and additional options.

My only complaint would be that it seems like every Subway here is too small, or at least not big enough for the amount of customers that they have daily. I can never find a table and chair to eat at because there are only about a handful, with at least 10 customers eating at a time. So it would be nice if they could maybe expand their store size here, although I don't really see how that could be possible considering that Subway is not really a mainstream fast food chain in our country. Unless they do something drastic like a massive drop in prices, Subway will probably never be considered a household name here.

My favorite is their meatball sandwich because it's pure bliss. The meatballs could be a bit bigger though. Their bread choices are what makes them stand out in my opinion. You can choose from up to 6 types of bread, I believe. I can't really speak for the other sandwich types because I kinda don't eat vegetables (I know right, what kind of person eats in a Subway and doesn't eat veggies???) But all in all, whenever I'm in the mood for something healthy and delicious, Subway is the place to be.

I am so upset that I am being treated like a idiot from Subway. Over a month ago me and my daughter got 2 foot long subs. When I came home they were very burnt. There was a new gal being trained. I called told them to mark it down and send me out a coupon. Every week for 3 weeks I checked I was told once she as in Audrey sent out coupons, never got them. I stopped down again talked to Matt. He told me he seen her get them ready for mailing but she forgot and they be mailed Monday.

5 days went by I contacted OHIO. Sent complaint, talked to the closest Subway and they told me since I went to corporate that they wouldn't talk to me. Then I called corp in OHIO. Talked to a lady on a Sunday. She documented the complaint. Said I would hear back from the actual Subway. Well today I called because I am not hearing nothing... She claims she sent me twice coupons. I have not received them or had any missing mail. I know it is 2 subs but I figured owner would of called. I even offered to come and get them in the envelope.

Then at work today I get a message to contact the Grand Chute police. If I contact Subway again I will have harassment charges because I told them I would post to Facebook this experience... Grant it now I am very upset and shocked. I even told them "has anyone in the area came with that type of coupon?" There can't be many and I have a locked box for mail. So this mean my mail lady stole my mail? I don't think she would risk her job over 2 coupons... Very discouraged. And embarrassed now. I have to call the police on my lunch break. The manager of the store was right beside her and she was just as rude to my wife when she placed her order.

I told the employee I don't want it because I work hard and should not have to accept half ass service. I explained this to the manager and all she could go about saying is that she did her best, which I then told her she did not make the least bit of effort. I worked part time at Subway for 5 years and always did better than what the customer asked. The manager then proceeded to tell me to go make it myself and to get out her store saying there is nothing she can do about. Really??? Please avoid this store at all costs. It is the worst in town.

I kept trying to tell her she overcharged us. My husband over a ft. Steak deluxe. That means it comes with a extra tray of meat, on the menu it said deluxe ft. are $1.50 extra. She charged me $3.00 for double meat. He didn't have extra meat. He had a deluxe and last week it took me and my sister in law an hour just to get 3 foot longs and 2 pizzas. That's ridiculous.

I worked at subway for 6 years and it don't take that long. Bottom line is she wasn't trained correctly. She was left there alone. She got an attitude, gets frustrated way too quickly, works really slow, talks way too much, couldn't work the register and not to mention she wasn't suppose to be there by herself. She was suppose to be off already. Somebody didn't show for their shift and nobody who works there wouldn't answer Freda's calls or texts. This lady don't even have a key to close the store down. I will not be going back there while that lady is working there. I thought about not ever going back to that Subway cuz they always have this problem. Hiring new people and they're not trained right and they don't show them everything they need to know. That's very sad, but she should have also told them she couldn't work by herself if she knew she wasn't ready and didn't know everything.

Subways new 15 dollar footlong deal -- In Aurora OR at the Flying J I ordered a footlong carved turkey and bacon, added their not so real avocado mix and medium drink and chips. Total $14.38. Come on, almost 15 dollars for a ** Subway sub meal. A footlong meal 5 years ago ran you less than 8 dollars. I mean come on the bread has so much air in it that it dissolves when you touch it and I didn't know they could cut cheese and meat so thin. Factor in the 85 percent increase in price and half of the bread, cheese and meat you use to get, and the big 1.4 oz of potato chips in the bag, the 36 oz drink that a 16 oz bottle of water will fill 3/4 full.

All these factors to a 150 percent increase in price. Subway says their cost have gone way up in 5 years. Well a closer look shows only a 17 percent increase in food cost for that same period. Subway has doubled in size since then so their buying power has gotten bigger so there is no way their cost went up even 17 percent. Let's see their profits went from 3 billion to over 15 billion in 5 years I guess that would account for that 150 increase in the meal cost.

I don't prefer Subway a lot and I typically go to Eegee's (Tucson natives only), Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's and Cheba Hut. There's a sandwich at Subway though that I love and I can't get it anywhere else. My trip wasn't bad at all. Regular footlong and the same sandwich I always get but I noticed the footlong ham is cheaper than the turkey. Subway has a habit of not putting a lot of meat so I said "hey whatever I'll double the meat for $1.50 for a footlong." Ended up getting a free cookie since I doubled but my total ended up going to $9. Ends up the charge for the meat was $3!! I SWEAR I read that it was $1.50 for a footlong and $.75 for a 6 inch. $3 for double the meat when I can get that much without overcharging at a different place? Even footlongs at Jimmy John's are cheaper and give more meat! Pretty ticked off.

My husband and I had gone to Subway because there had been continuity with their products. The carved turkey foot long sub is now advertised for $6. We were in Key Largo, FL and ordered it. It was $8. We asked for the 50% more meat. The foot long had 3 slices of turkey, so one would think that 50% more would be 1 1/2 slices. NO, they put 1/2 slice on it. We promptly asked them to remove what they deemed 50% more to be. We continued to pay for the sandwich but asked the owner of that store what HE considered 50% more to be. He essentially blew us off. I wrote an email to Subway Consumer affairs and got a boiler plate response. It is evident that Subway is not concerned about customer satisfaction. As it stands now, we will NOT be returning to ANY Subway store.

So she asked if she could switch her sandwich for a meatball sub, since those are softer, and pay the difference. They told her no. So she had to buy another sub. The only reason we stopped for her to eat is because she is diabetic. The sandwich was so that her sugar level wouldn't get low. Then the guys asked her if she would step aside so the person behind her could order something first. She is diabetic! Why couldn't she switch her sandwich?... Subway makes enough money. Where is the customer satisfaction?

I go every week at least twice to three times and order sandwiches for my whole family. This time I sent my little son in with the order written down. He showed it to the manager who did everything except put the ranch dressing on. By the time I got home, I noticed the sandwich tasted very different, then I noticed there was no ranch dressing in the foot long chicken and bacon ranch sandwich I ordered. It makes a huge difference and I actually hated the taste without the ranch and I didn't have any at home. So I had to call the store a few times before someone finally picked up and it was the manager.

I explained to her that all this time made my sandwich cold and soggy so I asked her politely if I could bring back my whole sandwich and if she could remake it but she flat out said she would not and that it was my son's fault not hers even though she saw it written down on paper because he did in fact show it to her which at first she denied then changed her mind and said that he didn't show her ranch even though it was written big and circled. Anyway, I told her I was going to report her and she rudely told me she didn't care to go ahead and then hung up on me.

I've never been treated this way by any company or business. Even high end businesses treat their customers better. This really was upsetting. I go all the time to this specific store, I mean almost daily or nightly but not anymore. I'm afraid she'll spit in my food or do this very thing again. But that ended about 2 years ago when I got tired of getting bread that fell apart, being told they had to count the number of black olives because they were limited to how many could go on the sandwich and watch the level of quality spiral down to crap. But, after 2 years, I decided to try again today. I ordered the 6" pulled pork on white. The girl cut the loaf of bread in half, tried to open the bread up and when it ripped, she pushed it aside and grabbed the other half of the same loaf - like it was going to be better. It wasn't. She proceeded to put what looked like old brown paste - which turned out that was actually the pulled pork - on the bread and mashed it around with her fingers.

I figured since the bread looked dry already, I should probably get it toasted. I asked for BBQ sauce and was told it was already in the pale brown mush but she would put more on after the toppings. Ok, so I get a few meager toppings. She put a little sauce on and I asked for more. She obliged. The sandwich cost me $5.04. When I went to eat it, I could hardly chew through the bread. It was disgusting. I ended up pulling off the pork and eating what little there was with a fork and throwing the rest away. Total waste of my time and money. This confirmed that I will never set foot in another Subway again. They could take a few lessons on bread from Jimmy John's!

The sandwich was $5.36. I put $6 on the counter and she said, "I can not take the money." I said, "Well I refuse to leave without paying and I refuse to take it too" and I walked away, shaken and teary eyed. I returned after several minutes and again no one was at the counter, the restaurant was empty. I called out, "Excuse me." ** came out and I tell her, "I want the receipt." She said, "Well I did not ring one because you did not take the sandwich." I said "I ordered it and I paid for it. Are you refusing me a receipt?" She said, "I do not understand. Why you need a receipt?" I said "I ordered and paid for it." Again I asked her, "Are you refusing me a receipt?" She rung one up and told me, "Give me your name and number." I asked her, "Why do you want my name and number?" She said, "My supervisor will contact you tomorrow." I said, "No, I will directly talk to corporate."

I asked her, "What's your supervisor name?" She said "Robert." I said, "and his last name?" She said, "I do not know his last name." She is a manager and she did not know her supervisor last name? Then I asked her, "Do you have camera here?" She said, "Yes." I said "Ok, good" and then I told her, "** did not have her cap and name tag." So ** tells me she did have a cap. I said, "Ok my bad, yes she had a cap but no name tag." So ** tells me, "Her name tag broke few days ago." Then another man walks in and ** comes out to take his order. She comes next to ** and tells me, shows me her name tag on her cap saying to me, "I do have a tag." So I look at ** and say, "She did not have a name tag when she was taking my order, and ** you just told me her tag was broken." So ** tells me, "I did not check today." I said, "You both are giving me different stories."

I have been to this Subway many times and I have been a regular customer and I lost trust in her completely. I took a picture of ** and I told **, "I will contact my lawyer if I have to, in case I need proof to show." She tells me, "I need to ask you to leave because you are not allowed to take a picture." I said, "You are giving me different stories and siding your employee." I do not trust them both, they both were lying. She told me to take the change for the sandwich. Then I ask him that if my order will mixed a two different chicken (sweet chicken and spicy chicken curry), the cashier said "no" with loud voice, "You can't do that. The only order you can mix is pork orders." I said "okay." Before I concluded my order I asked again the cashier if the order is a combo so that I will add a chip and drink. I was expecting an explanation how the charge will be and the cashier said "$10,39." I said "okay," then I told him "if I leave the chips what is the charge?" All suddenly the cashier replied to me "you're cheap person okay." He said that I am cheap person.

I decided to swallow whatever he call me but when I pay the price including the chips the cashier advised me not to come back the store again - "you're cheap person." I become a upset and I inform the cashier that "I don't need your food, please refund me back my money." He threaten me that he is going to call the police if I don't leave the store immediately. I insisted staying the store until I get my refund.

This individual cashier was targeting and stereotyping the black community or the African origin community at all. He was racial profiling the black community to my understanding or what I experienced on the store today. I never witness someone who humiliate me as person before this cashier in front of other customers and he was yelling, advise me that I don't have to come back again this store or else will call the police. I don't know what I have done wrong or asking the price of food or chips is prohibited in the Subway stores.

On August 30, 2015 I took my family to Subway. We have many stores in my general area. No matter what store you go to, it seems to be the same issues every time. Employees always have an attitude and are rude. Some even racist in my opinion. I have 3 children and we all know that kids can be picky. Yet my children were not allowed to order what they wanted their way. Nor I for that matter. Yet they advertise "Have it your way". I'm told that sandwich can't be made unless it's the special or "We are out of this and that". Do you ever stock your supplies? The rudeness of the way me and my children were spoken to. They are lucky I didn't go behind the counter and show them how rude a customer can be. Absurd. This company false advertises and shorts the sandwiches at every turn.

I will no longer be a Subway customer and will spread the word. They need to get a CEO who understands customer service and can abide by their own advertising. Utter bs. A complete rip off. I believe they train their employees to be rude and purposely rip off customers. It's a shame really that a McDonalds has better service then any location of Subway I've been to. And when you call customer service, they are no better. The same rudeness and response of "We can't help you or refund you or remake an order that was screwed up." This franchise should be shut down until people who can run it correctly are hired. Such a shame really. Smh.

After closing it takes more than 45 mins to do this. My child is in there working an hour and a half to 2 hrs just to make sure everything is ready the following day by herself for 7.25 an hour. Too much is expected to be done, but she gets it done and the manager goes into the computer and changes her hours. No matter how you slice it, the crap ain't right. I am in Shreveport Louisiana and I just left a Subway on Line Avenue, its 9:30pm. I went in, I was the only customer in the shop, and ordered a breakfast flatbread sandwich, with yellow egg on white flatbread. The woman took out one yellow egg and cut it in half and placed it on the twelve inch bread and asked if I wanted it toasted. I asked her to put another egg yellow on it, that on a twelve inch there was always two eggs. She said she didn't know because she had never made one before. Then she turned toward the back and said "Chris". Very quickly she screamed (no exaggeration), "CHRIS". When he came quickly around to the front she asked him if he didn't hear her calling him, he said he didn't, to which she replied, "I called you five times."

Now, I've had a long tiring day, I've traveled a long way, been on the road since six am, and have had an accident in my truck and am hungry. The last thing I want to have in a server who doesn't know how to make a sandwich, screaming and lying to another employee who apparently does. This is the second instance of a female employee screaming for another employee to do something. I simply said to the young woman, "You don't know what you're doing and I'm not going to eat here."

I left and found a Subway on Youree near Kroger where I had eaten at before and where the employees were polite and efficient. I won't eat on Line or on Bert Kouns where the other screaming event happened. This sort of thing apparently doesn't bother the two women who were screaming, but it makes me feel sick to my stomach. These people have lost their minds.

Several times over the last 2 years, whenever I order a sandwich and ask for the employee discount, there are always five questions asked: What shift do you work? Who is your manager? Why don't I ever see you? Do you still work for the company? How I don't know if you got fired? Do you have a pay stub?

I thought this was normal questioning, until I witnessed on more than a dozen occasions, white employees don't get the same questioning. Actually there is no questions. This behavior is by one employee, Maria. The store manager was present the last time she did this to me and she just brushed it off. I guess this is how they handle business. I was pushed aside so the others could be rung for their orders. When they finished with the last person, the two workers walked away and I continued to stand there. Eventually one looked at me with a confused expression and asked what I needed. Finally he got my order for me. He was nice and everything. I just didn't appreciate being ignored like that. The nightmare began when I signed the franchise agreement which is pretty much like signing your life away. I was treated like a slave, worked 80 hours a week and had to keep the store open 98 hours a week, pay for all utilities, rent, taxes and employees and the ridiculous food cost. I even had to buy the toilet paper from Subway which cost me 2 times more of what I get from Costco. They controlled my prices and my register and made me upgrade decor and menus. The food prices were skyrocketing where my menu prices stayed the same since 2005 and but they did not care because they got their 12.5%.

So many nights, my family went to sleep hungry with empty bank account and accumulated bank fees during the promotion months with $2 customer appreciation/$5 footlong because I was losing money on every single sandwich. All other promotions like BOGO 6 inch and free items came out of my pocket as I never got any reimbursements from them. I had to sell my house to remodel my store after they threatened me with arbitration charges and taking away the store from me and I was not the only one in my district going through that... I was finally able to find a good lawyer who helped me to sell my store and get an extension for the arbitration process. This company has no morals, never appreciates the hard work and is all about their own profit...THEY ARE PURE EVIL and hope they go to hell, they ruined my life for 8 years and made my family suffer financially and psychologically.

Please stop going to their stores and buying their low quality, unsafe, frozen products...NOTHING IS FRESH ABOUT SUBWAY. All products come frozen with at least 1 year shelf life except vegetables. The bread comes as frozen dough sticks, meat all comes frozen, eggs come precooked and frozen and only God knows what in their veggie max that makes everyone sick. All other products such as cookies, soups, etc come frozen as well. Please pray for the franchisees that are still trapped in their prison stores and help to get rid of this ridiculous company...

On this day they went there like usual, ordered the food then went to pay. They were told the transaction wouldn’t go through. They called me from the restaurant (It’s literally almost right next door) and I told them to apologize, leave the order and come home so I could call the bank &/or card company to find out if maybe there was some type of glitch or pc issue going on I wasn’t aware of. They do this and are then threatened by the owner that if they do not return in 1 hour with the money she was CALLING THE POLICE!

They weren’t attempting to steal or anything! She basically just felt she should get paid because she took the time to make the sandwiches. Well I sent them back with the cash but I also contacted the Subway customer service line via phone and email. THEY DID NOTHING! NO APOLOGIES! JUST NOTHING! I was informed that because she stood by how she behaved. There was nothing that they could do! Are you kidding me?! The woman threatened my children and traumatized them for what indeed turned out to be an issue with their machine even though they had done NOTHING WRONG. She was so out of line. At the time, I could not tell if there was anything wrong with the Seafood Sensation, but I knew I had to write something based upon the quality of the vegetables and the service I was given. I wanted to have some spinach with my sandwiches, but the spinach was wilted and near the bottom of the container. I asked if she would replace it, and I was told that she could not and even so, all the rest were just as bad. I then asked for tomatoes and she had to pick through a dozen slices, to find some that were presentable as well as edible.

The red onions and the green peppers were also at the bottom of the container and when I asked for some fresh ones, I was told that that was not possible. At this point, I was stuck with a sandwich that was not made to my order. Before I paid, I had her my loyalty card and asked how much was on it. She swiped the card but never honored my request until I had to ask for a second time. Now that I am home and have eaten half of a footlong sandwich, there is a distinct after taste from the Seafood. I threw the other half away. I know that particular store has lost me as a customer and I am not sure if I could ever go back to another Subway after this experience. Hi! I am an avid Subway Sandwich lover, whereas I have explored more than 25 Subway outlets in all over INDIA. We were very happy to witness the recent opening of First Subway Outlet at JAMNAGAR city, In Gujarat last month May 2015. However our fantasy and love for Subway Sandwich shattered into pieces, when we order Chicken Tandoori 6 inch Sandwich and Other Veg. Sandwiches for my family at this Jamnagar outlet. The service staff was not at all ardent to serve us the sandwich as per standard Subway goodwill. Can you believe, we could count the number of mere small FIVE chicken cubes in Chicken Tandoori 6 inch Sandwich. On request to add some more, at least to cover the 6 inch bread in breadth, he asked me to pay extra for Add-ons. Bloody Add-ons charge in Subway Sandwich??????

When we confronted the service guy, the other guy standing beside him asked him to take our request. Further, when he started adding veggies, we were highly upset and discouraged to count 2 slice of Cucumber, 2 Slice of Tomatoes, 4 half pieces of Black Olives, 2 slice of Green Olives, DAMNNN!!!!!!! When we asked to make the same properly, he just ignored our request, as if we did not exist there! Huh!!! Same was the story with Veg. Sandwiches as well. We could count the couple of slices of each vegetable adding in 6 inch Sandwich, for which we are paying INR 145 - for one Sandwich. Ridiculous. If you think you must save your brand image and your loyal customers, we shall look forward for a strong Action from your end. Else you know the consequences. On the 27th May 2015, at the location of Place De Toscane in Paris, the closest Subway to Disneyland Paris conned my disabled pensioner mother for €100. On Wednesday 27th May 2015, just before they shut late evening, my mother and family entered Subway in Place De Toscane in Paris close to the Disneyland resort. They ordered nine meals for take-away; the bill came up to €64. My disabled pensioner mother heard wrongly, the employee say €164 so she handed over the subway employee €180, all in €20 notes; instead of the employee giving her back the extra money that she handed over, the employee instead gave her back change of €16 as if she gave him €80.

The next day my mother informed myself of how much Subway had charged her which was way too pricey for nine meals in Subway; so on the 28th May 2015 I went and confronted the employee and his colleague which the employee denied. I stated I wanted to speak to the manager for him to check his CCTV which are placed right above the cashier and also make a formal complaint. His colleague informed myself to return the following day to speak to the manager.

On the 29th May 2015, I went to Subway to speak to the manager and showed the utmost respect and professionalism to the manager. The manager was not only not considerate of the situation and how my mother who is classified disabled and is a pensioner had been conned out of 100, also threatened to call the police on myself, stating that we were making the while thing up. My mother did not want any unwanted stress at the time when we should be on holiday, asked me to just leave it and not make a big deal out of it as she wanted us to enjoy our holiday in Paris.

The manager then stated he in fact checked the CCTV and that my mother is in fact lying as the CCTV confirmed she only paid €80. I asked to see the CCTV for myself which he refused and then again threatened to call police thinking 'cause we are tourist coming from the United Kingdom. This would scare us off which it did for my mother, who was distressed and asked me to please leave it as she didn't want no trouble and this to ruin our holiday. I asked for the manager to write down the employee name at the time of the incident and the manager himself name, which again he refused in an aggressive manner.

The way in which Subway, a worldwide company, had conned a disabled pensioner is not only out of order, but disgusting. This is why I am writing this complaint - not simply for the €100 that was taken, but for this not to happen to another person; as this Subway attracts a lot of tourist whom stay in hotels nearby to holiday with their families in Disneyland Paris.

The manager did not resolve the situation; in fact he had no remorse for an old-age, disabled pensioner being conned by his employee, and bullying my mother in scaring her from her right to make a complaint is a thing only a coward would do. As I did not want to stress my mother further, I agreed to not make a complaint at the time and go enjoy our holiday.

I want this to never happen to anyone else and hope this review would have the desired affect that is necessary to let it be known that Subway in Place De Toscane in Paris close to Disneyland Resort Paris not only cons old-age, disabled pensioner for their money, but have the backing of the manager who both had refused to give me their names. I have attached an image of the Subway shop location and also the location address of the shop.

I have tried to go to the doctor with a day's advance notice and been told flat out "no" which I think is illegal and I should probably contact OSHA. I'm forced to work alone all week for 8 or 9 hours a shift, even though I work day shift, and am forced to do lunch all by myself - you'll find no other eatery that employs one person to handle lunch that runs from 12-2 and makes upwards of 800 dollars in two to three hours. My boss refuses to use the air conditioner even if the store is 90 degrees, she keeps it under a LOCKED box. Besides all of these, what I'd call employment and inhumane conditions to a min wage worker, the stores are disgusting.

I've worked several and it's always the same. Stores always change dates on prepped meats to fool the inspectors and health department - I've seen chicken sit in the fridge thawed for up to a month until it starts graying. They saturate the tuna with an entire gallon bag of mayo so you get less tuna on the sandwich and they save money. I've seen store owners TELL US to underweigh all meat in portion trays because "it's healthier for customers to not eat the required subway amounts of meats." On special months where subs are all six dollars owners will physically remove items from the menu that month so they don't have to sell expensive items cheaper (steak and pastrami). If things fall on the floor we are scolded if we throw it away. I've seen containers of pickles spill and get SCRAPED off the floor and used.

It's just an inhumane and disgusting store, and Subway corporate can act blind because it's a franchise thing but every store I've worked has been the same, and the inspectors for Subway usually warn store owners they are coming for inspection that day so that we can change our dates on meats etc and not get violations. Gross place, gross employers. And it's not cheap, a chicken bacon is almost nine dollars - go to a deli and get a real sandwich for the same price!! If you see an employee struggling don't get mad at them, do yourself and us a favor and call OSHA or the better business bureau and report the store!!!

I have worked at multiple Subways ever since I was 16 years old and I have to tell you this one is the worst! We're a duel unit gas station/restaurant. We only have one person working in Subway at all times when any where else I step foot in a Subway they have 2-3 people working. Subway, this is ridiculous! They expect us to have octopus arms and run around like a chicken with its head cut off. I bust my ass off at work and help others in the gas station and these darn high school kids. What a laughing joke. They don't wanna work. They're lazy and air pick up all the slack! I guess you can say I am a over achiever but I have always been this way. Another thing we're not allowed to wear black like capris?! Isn't Subway fresh fit? I think all the girls during summer should wear them. It makes them look active and not like customers can really see your pants. Anyway same at the gas station you're behind a counter for crying out loud.

Also this you can only wear white or black shoes. You can barely find all white shoes anymore. I ended up going out buying a new pair of Nike shoes which were a bright pink with black on them. I wore them to work. My boss said "you need to not wear those to work". Well last I checked I thought it was as long as they were non slip shoes. They're becoming way too strict. How are you gonna get people to work for you if you keep this crap up? Worst place to work EVER! And by the way it's not sanitary at all with dirty knives sitting in metal holders all day with dressings all over them. Cutting each sandwich in half. That's disgusting!!!! Another thing I love how you go to a Subway and you see food stickers on the glass. Yep those would be outdated stickers which they just print out another one to stick on old food.

When I mention that to him and ask for a new sandwich, he said, "Sorry," and he start preparing new one, leaving that previous dirty one on a side. Finally I was told him which salads I want and he pack it to a bag. They never clean the knives used to cut sandwiches in half or the knives used to cut bread. They stay in the same place day after day collecting nastiness. I don't feel comfortable eating here, and I have told my family and friends not to eat there either. If I could convince the customers coming in not to eat at Subway, I would love to. It is a disgusting place with disgusting policies.

Furthermore, they never took my tax information when I signed up. They pay me cash under the table, and the amount that they paid during my probationary training was below the federal minimum of 75% of minimum wage during training (and besides, I am over 20 years old which requires them to pay the full minimum wage even during training). This place is a scam, and the owners, although nice people, are crooks and disgusting. The restaurant needs shut down.

So today after a night out with a few calories remaining and not much money, I suggest we get a subway. After a half hour wait I get to the front of the queue And ask for a subway toastie. The guy says "we don't sell that and points to the billboard". I ask why and he ignores me. I then point to the full menu next to me. He calls over the bouncer in a aggressive fashion and tells the bouncer to get me out. I then get forcefully taken out just because they didn't want to sell me the cheaper option. And I'm only getting paid minimum wage and been told that I'm nothing - that I'm only a sandwich artist, and having to do all of that paperwork is a "privilege" that could be taken away from me at any time. I don't even want to eat here. We're told to change the dates and lie to our inspector all the time. There are some times the date gets changed so much, the chicken gets blueish gray and slimy. I've been working at Subway for 4 days and they have me closing by myself. If you don't work at Subway then you don't fully understand what this means. Some of you people are complaining about stupid stuff that's not under our control. I was told to complete Subway university, some stupid program to teach you how to work at Subway. Get this, of the 6 hours it took me to finish, 30 minutes of it was how to make subs, and it wasn't even every sub - they picked about 4 sandwiches to demonstrate and they were breakfast sandwiches... I work nights!! There is so much to do when closing, and it's hard when customers walk in in the middle of it. You have to find a way to get things done in between customers and that doesn't help because there is sooo much to do. You do not get breaks, you do get a 6 inch every 4 hours but if there is a customer you must stop and take their orders.

Closing requires you to get everything ready for the next day shift, like why should the closer be doing everything? Also workers that don't have to close should be required to complete some of our tasks, if you aren't close with your coworkers then expect to stay two hours after closing. I got help from two of my friends that also work at Subway and we left 50 minutes after closing, 3 people working!!!

We have to clean the bane (what holds the food behind the glass), clean the cookie holders, make sure every one of the foods is filled to the top, make sure there is back up food so the afternoon shifts don't run out on the job, remove the food in the hot well, clean every inch of the oven and poofer including the doors - remember to turn them off including the toaster, mop the floors, clean the bathrooms, wipe the tables, take out the trash, clean the dishes - which is a lot since we're replacing every bin of food, prepare bread for the next day, do an inventory check, record the temperatures of the foods, replace the sauces, clean out the three tea compartments, fill up the chips, stock the refreshments.... I could go on and on.

I would be satisfied if I weren't closing, cause then I wouldn't have a care in the world, just come in, make my sandwiches and clean some dishes. I understand you guys are customers and you're paying for good quality service, but appreciate us just a little more, we're still humans after all.

I am extremely displeased with how the Subway on 5726 Watt Avenue, North Highlands, CA 95660 thinks they can treat human beings like utter garbage. After years of searching for his first job, my fiance was barely hired at this Subway. The manager required a Food Handler's Card, which my fiance proceeded to do within the next day. Before he could even complete the course, the manager fired him. Desperate to keep a job, my fiance proved himself by obtaining the card within the same day and managed to get himself "re-hired."

When he was hired, everything was hell afterwards. The only positive thing he received from this environment was training, which wasn't very helpful because he was being told 3 different perspectives from an employee, a supervisor, and the manager. His work experience was awful because he was new, yet everyone expected him to know everything. He had to pay $35 for a hat, apron, name tag, and shirt, yet the manager never gave him the name tag, didn't give him his hat and apron until it was late and blamed my fiance for violating dress code policies.

The manager also had highly pathetic communication skills and tried to defend himself when called out on it. The manager only wanted to communicate through text messaging but would never text my fiance his schedule. Every time my fiance asked for it, the manager's texts were very brief and sometimes, he would not tell him his schedule at all so my fiance never knew when he would be scheduled for a shift. Once, he even tried to call my fiance in last minute, 5 minutes before the shift started and expected him to be there on time. The manager pretty much expected a father of a 2 year old to drop everything for him. I would also be unable to work for many days because of this manager's poor communication. On my days off, I would watch our son, and my fiance would do the same on his days off because we can't afford a babysitter.

The manager set him up to fail because of this and pretty much forced my fiance to "voluntarily quit" by not scheduling him for any days at all. Even though my fiance did everything he was supposed to, the manager thought he did nothing whatsoever. He would not let my fiance speak to him about any issues or even questions for clarification and would assume he was making excuses and refuse to hear him out. The employee and supervisor were also awful. They wanted everything done their way and bullied my fiance because they thought they could do a better job. I say "employee" because this particular Subway is massively underemployed.

Also, no breaks are allowed apparently. You are expected to work every single minute you are there. There are security cameras set up and my fiance can be seen working every single minute, except for when he is on break or trying to contact the manager, who rarely answers his phone. I have witnessed every text and phone call between my fiance and his manager and I have had to give him plenty of rides to work and back because of a manager being unsure when to schedule employees at all. Which means, I have stopped by the "restaurant" as well and have witnessed his co-worker treating him, and MYSELF, a legal adult with a child, car, and apartment, as children. I do not appreciate being called a "kid" by a stranger around my age.

Overall, I am complaining because I hope no one else will ever have to go through this ordeal. I can not tolerate anyone so desperate for a job, that they would have to have no self-worth to keep a job. It is saddening that people at this Subway can be so condescending and demonic. I hope this particular "restaurant" shuts down so no one else has to suffer the same experience. I've been to many Subways and I've never had a bad experience in my entire life until I came across this particular Subway. We were so desperate for him to have a job and so happy when he did. But to be blunt, having no job is better than working at this Subway unless you want to be treated like a literal slave. If a manager didn't like an employee, I don't understand why he would hire the employee at all just so he could force him to "voluntarily quit." People like this are utterly foul.

I have been working at Subway for about 3 months. I'm 16 and in high school and it is my first job and I have to say that it is not a pleasant working experience. For starters I received very little training, my first day I came in with no training and my co-workers already had me doing veggies and I had no clue of how many of each to put on and I could barely close a sandwich, and second of all we do not have stable schedule. It's a weekly schedule which my manager almost always finishes a day late. And she always had me working in different stores, she had on my schedule that I work in a different store then I usually work in but I went in and the store manager already had someone for the shift so I had to find a ride home. Very frustrating. My manager can sometimes give me rides when I can't get one myself but it gets tiring.

For about a month, I still didn't know much about how to do many things around the store and my manager had me work alone at another spite and I was alone for about 2 hours and a customer asked for a salad and it was embarrassing since I never got trained on how to make a salad but I tried my best. And we get no scheduled breaks which can be good if you have everything done but really sucks if you have an 8-hour shift and you barely get any time to get stuff done in between customers. I feel like I've been getting ripped of when I get paid but don't have all my clock-in receipts to check but my last check came out really small considering I've worked a lot.

Lately I've been working alone for most of my shifts and I've been closing often while alone and have to put all the food away, wash all the dishes and put them away, broom and mop the whole store, clean the oven and toaster wipe down all food contact surfaces and tables, take out the trashes, clean the bathroom, clean the windows, and lots of other things by myself and it takes me a while especially when I barely have any free time to clean because I'm working alone and have one customer right after the other, and I'm not even sure if I get paid for the time I spend after to close. I do my best to give the customer a pleasant experience my being nice and making a good sandwich but the company doesn't make it a good time for me. Long story short, today I texted manager saying I could no longer continue working and it feels like a big weight off my shoulders. Will I ever consider working at Subway again? Not in my right mind.

Subway if you need to improve your business and the franchisees to earn more money, you need to have a dynamic CEO or CFO. Who the hell it is to make more smart decisions on the menu? Your six dollars specials do not include Veggie Delite and neither any of the Subway employees across sell any of their products. If there is 100 percent population, 95 percent eat meat and 5 percent do not. So if you are losing the 5 percent business then it could add up to millions of dollars worldwide.

Here are few suggestions: for a six dollar menu, add 6-inch of Veggie Delite, 1 drink small, chips will come up to 6 plus tax. If you're white or black or colorless and knows how to mark the prices for the customers at menu level, mark it otherwise I will teach you... This is how one Subway employee treated me as picky ass. Subway may not lose its brand value as Quizinnos or I forgot the other sandwich chain, which just vanished from thin air. I took it the elastic rubber bands to subway and I was shouted at saying that is supposed to be like that. I calmly asked if she tried the sandwich and she replied "no" so I asked the other girl she said "no". How do they know what its supposed to taste like if they never tried it then comment about what its supposed to be like? I will never purchase a subway sandwich again because of such horrible customer service at my local subway.

Being franchise-oriented, I thought Subway units would be fairly uniform regarding quality, cleanliness, and management competency. This is issue no.1 I have with Subway. I live in the Irmo/St. Andrews area in South Carolina. The unit closest to my home, about two miles away, in the Quail Valley Plaza next to Irmo Middle School, is terrible. When you drive up to the location, often one encounters a clerk parked right up front smoking in his car with loud music, talking on his cell. Another clerk is usually sitting on the curb talking on her cell. I walk in and there is no one to be found! Eventually someone will come out and take the order. Most of the workers have tattoos and face piercings and look very dirty. They do not know how to redeem valid coupons, so I have to go to another Subway to use them.

The Subway on Bush River Road is a little better, but when I go there early in the morning, sometimes it takes several minutes for the morning manager (she is the only one there) to emerge from the back! I went there two days ago to buy the $2 6 inch cold cut combo, and the meat was less than one-eighth of an inch thick. What made it worse was that the sandwich maker cut one small slice of cheese in half and putting the other half in the bin with the cheese of its type.

The Subway off Harbison Blvd. near Wal-Mart is the best--I got twice the meat, twice the cheese, liberal toppings on the $2 cold cut combo as I got on the Bush River Road location.

However, what is even worse is the deceptive advertising via their ads and menu boards. The pictures depict subs overflowing with fresh-cut deli meats and cheeses hanging out of the bread. That is in NO way what you get. All they use are portion-controlled thin slices of meat and cheese, sent that way from the factories. If you go in a Subway, look at the pathetically small portion trays of tuna and chicken. I am going back to the Publix deli on Harbison Blvd. where you can get a sub brimming with fresh-cut meats and cheeses, custom-made, with volume so high that you can hardly stuff in your mouth! Goodbye Subway!

She said that the double meat was now $5, NOT the $1.50 that was posted on the menu. I was stunned to say the least. $5 for extra meat? That is outrageous!!!!!!!!! The ridiculous price of $5 should be posted AND mentioned when the order is placed. As a result of this new charge, I will have to seriously consider boycotting subway and telling everyone I know that subway is gouging their customers. I am disappointed and shocked at the amount. I ordered 2 cups of coffee for my wife and I. He gave us 2 huge plastic soda cups. Not to agitate this man any further than he already was, I filled them halfway with coffee. There were exactly THREE creamers (small cups) at the coffee counter, and when I opened them and poured them in the cup, they were sour and just curdled.

I went back to the counter for 2 actual coffee cups and fresh cream, and the man verbally started attacking me! He started yelling at me that I ordered SODA not COFFEE and that I was just trying to get free food. He acted like he was on drugs!! I argued back with him, and he ended up calling the cops(!). The end result was that I had to sign a paper to not enter his store anymore (which I had no intention of anyway). All over 2 coffee cups! Nice. On the entrance door of Subway there is a sign that says, "must be a customer to use the bathroom." Understandable, I agree. On October 9th, 2014 was the first time I have seen this sign and was not bothered by it because I am a regular customer. As I enter the store with my 15 month old daughter, the Subway employee politely tells me I need a key to enter the bathroom. Humorously, I said, "Don't worry I am a customer." On October 10th, 2014 I visited the same Subway location. As I was walking to the bathroom, I recalled that I needed a key so, I politely ask the employee for the key. She responded, "Are you a customer?" I said yes.

She continued to make a sandwich for another customer as I waited for a key. When she was done with the customer, she preoccupied herself organizing the tomatoes and lettuce. Then once again I asked for the key. Instead of giving me a key, she pulled out a paper for a sandwich and said, "Ok, what sandwich are you getting?" I said, "First, I need to use the bathroom, can I have the key?" She said, "no I have to order first." Then her coworker told me I had to leave or he would call the cops and falsely accused me of using their bathroom earlier that day without purchase. To be clear, I was at my aunt's house all morning and afternoon.

There were two people working, a woman and a men. There was a fly wandering around the bread who didn't seem to bother the guy that was making sandwiches. When my sister mentioned it to the guy, he didn't look too pleased. Then my other nephew was telling the guy what he wanted. Not being loud enough, the guy got annoyed then when I asked him that I wanted my sandwich toasted, he looked at me and completely ignored me with an attitude. Then when my sister was telling him what to put in her sandwiches including olives, he literally put 4 slices of olives on the bread. Then she asked him to put more olives. He simply replied by a very cold sharp NO. Shocked as she was she said, "OK I don't want those sandwiches, I am only going to pay for those 2 that the kids have taken".

The woman at the till was very angry insisting we have to pay and there are cameras. We need to pay otherwise she will call the police which was the most shocking and funny thing at the same time I have ever heard. She wanted to charge us 14euros for 2 sandwiches when we refused to pay for the sandwiches we didn't want because we didn't have what we asked for. She was getting more and more abusive. At that point I was losing my patient as I Have never ever experienced this service in my entire life. At the end we only paid for the 2 sandwiches the kids had and left the shop with a lot of abuse for the staffs using the F word in front of the kids. Tried to illegally take money from staff to cover shortages (which is against labor laws but tried to get away with it, thinking staff were too stupid to know this). They harassed staff into paying for those shortages. Owner would verbally abuse staff, and would demand that hours be cut if staff didn't pay for shortages. Day staff would stand around and do absolutely nothing and expect the closing staff (which consisted of 1 person) to pick up their slack on top of closing duties. Would not pay overtime if closing staff had to stay later due to day staff's laziness. I REFUSE to work for Subway again and advise anyone else reading this to do the same for these reasons. The sandwich is piled high with tuna and condiments and looked mouthwatering enough for me to want to buy one. I go to my local Subway Sandwich Shop at 32545 Golden Lantern, Dana Point, CA on 4/03/2014 and order 2 6" Tuna subs. When the preparer is building the sandwich, I notice that she puts 2 small scoops of tuna on each 6" slice of bread, then proceeds to smear it around to cover the surface. When I bring it to her attention that it appears that the sandwich is quite light on the tuna, she tells me that 2 scoops is all that is allowed to be applied to each half of each sandwich.

I showed her the advertisement with the tuna bursting out of the sandwich and asked to speak with the manager about it. The manager asked if I wanted to purchase extra tuna. I told her all I wanted was a sandwich that resembled the one that was in the advertisement. She instructed the preparer to move the tuna forward so that it would look like there was more in the sandwich. There was so little tuna on the bread that the preparer had a difficult time accomplishing that task. The result was the sandwich depicted in the accompanying image. There is barely a hint of tuna on the sandwich I purchased, while the sandwich in the ad is bursting with tuna. I believe that if Subway is going to depict their sandwiches as overflowing with fillings and goodness then the sandwiches they sell the public should reflect the same or be considered false advertising.

Let me start off by saying that this was the ABSOLUTE WORST JOB ever. One day I came into work on time as scheduled. Usually I come early, however one of my coworkers said I couldn't clock in until exactly the time I was scheduled. So when I am early, I'd have to wait (so ridiculous)!!?! So I came into work exactly on time, as usual, however my coworkers were busy and did not open the door right away. When one of my "higher up" coworkers opened the door, he said I was late. Although in my defense, I had been standing there for 3 minutes. He concluded I was late because it was 5 minutes after 5. He then told me to go Home immediately and that it wasn't okay to be late. I must admit that my Subway coworkers were ALL rude, impolite, and most of all very disrespectful to me. I had gotten ready and drove 15 min to work just to be sent home.

Subway has the worst system of hiring because honestly as a student in school, all of my coworkers were high school dropouts and losers. They loathed you when you had a future and only want to bring you down! So take it from me, NEVER GET A JOB AT SUBWAY. Although I was a "sandwich artist", I only received a few hours a week and that was mostly janitorial work like cleaning floors, or the hundreds of dishes in the kitchen. Or my favorite: picking up HEAVY boxes of bread or taking out the trash although there are male coworkers who are much more stronger and more muscular for that.

WORKING AT SUBWAY SUCKS!!! With a pay check of $7.80 per hour (not including taxes and what not). My experience at Subway was very lousy thanks to the uncomplacent manager and awfully rude coworkers. Plus, you don't even get free sandwiches!!! There are NO perks whatsoever when working at Subway! And when you get home, you smell of malodorous onions and veggies. PLUS SUBWAY COWORKERS YELL AND COMPLAIN WHEN YOU PUT TOO MUCH VEGGIES on a customer's sub. We are taught how to RIP OFF all customers so they end up paying more than what they have to! Nothing from Subway is fresh by the way. My friend told her, "I don't want it heated, sorry." The woman got super frustrated, grabbed the entire sandwich, mashed as she grabbed it, then tossed it into the trash. She quickly began to make another. My friend and I were glancing at each other (wondering if this was really happening). As the woman got to the cheese part, for some reason she thinks the following is okay to do: She literally grabbed the old sandwich out of the garbage and began to peel the old cheese off of it to use on her newly-made sandwich.

My friend and I cringed in disgust, didn't say a word to her and walked out the door. We got into our car, the woman came out flailing her arms in anger. I have no clue how she got hired at Subway. Usually, Subways I've been to are pretty well maintained and meet up to health regulations. WTH? Avoid this Subway for your health. She's nasty!

She skipped over me and waited on the man behind me. She fixed his sandwiches and checked him out, and he left. I was still waiting! She finally finished my last one and rang me up. My total was $35.64. I questioned the price, and she didn't know what I was saying. I told her I was charged for 5 sandwiches and that I only ordered 4. At first, she said that because I wanted extra ham, she had to charge me for another sandwich, which would make my club sandwich $13. I told her I was not paying that.

She then said I told her I had 5 sandwiches. She told me if I paid cash, she could fix it. I told her I didn't have cash. She said then I had to pay for it because she can't throw a sandwich away. I told her she didn't have anything to throw away because she hasn't made 5 sandwiches. I asked her if she could just credit my card back, and she said no. I told her that I paid for 5. She said she couldn't do anything about it. Since I paid for it, I had her make another sandwich that I had no use for! She was extremely rude and made it totally obvious that she was talking about me to her co-worker.

When I walked in, I was the only customer there. By the time I left, the ladies had already made 5 sandwiches and those customers had come and gone before me. These two ladies were so rude and very unprofessional, and they acted if they had no clue on how to work there.

As I walked inside the subway approximately about 9:25 4/26/12 to use the bathroom at the subway on the corner of Elmwood and assembly, after walking miles down the road, I asked one of the employees where the restroom was. At that moment, I was not told that I have to purchase something just to use the restroom or seen any sign that says that. All I know is it's a public restroom and I had to go immediately! As I was in the restroom, my brother who came in the subway with me called my phone and told me that some foreign-looking guy who was in charge told him that he was making him nervous and he needed to sit down! He told the guy that he was waiting on me to come out of the bathroom. I guess when he told him that, he went and stood outside, but the guy came around to the bathroom and twisted the knob, jingled his keys and acted as if he was coming in while I was on the toilet!

I responded to let the person at the other end of the door know the restroom was being occupied, but he stood at the door and continued to act like he was going to come in saying "open the door!". So I finished using the restroom and washed my hands then opened the door. He stood with his hands on the door knob holding it open for me to exit, so I asked him "why are you deliberately and purposely trying to invade my privacy knowing the restroom was occupied?". He then told me disrespectfully that homeless people have been washing in the bathroom as if he already labeled me as a homeless nobody and his facial expressions matched his thoughts. I told him that gives him no reason or right to do what he just did and if I was to get boisterous and hostile, and he called the police, then it would've looked like I was in the wrong. But that would have been only a reaction to his nonsense, cause and effect!

Then he said the bathroom is only for customers, furthering his homeless accusations he stereotyped me as! So I told him that I was ordering nothing because of the way he unprofessionally came at my brother and me! Then I stormed out of the store in fury! Now I know, being a ServSafe culinarian, leadership and hospitality graduate form Job Corp, that is very unprofessional and your personal problems are never supposed to be a part of your work settings! Someone, please see to this problem immediately because no one should have to come to a fast food place and be treated like a low class worthless piece of trash and that's not even your job! 1). When you argue with her, you bother other customers, so some customer will leave. As a result, the company made lesser money.

2). As a manager, if employee or customer complain, he/she would not report to the supervisor because it may affect the promotion or sometime even being fired. That's why when the security guard wants to check the camera, she said nothing. She was scared. And then next day, I tried to file a complaint twice, and asked them to send a gift card for me because I believe issuing gift card is the best way to prevent a company losing the money they earned before.
