Me & my wife traveled 1 hour to go to crab fest. They should have called it crapfest. I ordered the king crab legs for 34.00 dollars a pound. They were the worst. You can go to Shoprite and buy their red crab and get more meat. I complained to the manager, he said he could bring me more. I said "more of these?", he said yes. I told him "I didn't want these ones. Why would I want more." I sent them back and went to another restaurant. The waiter said that's what every shipment has looked like - CRAP.

My wife and I went to Red Lobster on July 9th 2015 about 2:00 p.m. and given menus and with 5 minutes we knew what we want to order. This was in bar area although we are non-drinkers. Two servers were talking to one particular table in the back. A male server walked by us but didn't ask us if we wanted any drinks or ready to order. We sat there until 2:20 and no one ever approached our table to take our order so we got up and left and went to Grindstone Charley'. WE HAVE BEEN BACK SINCE!!

I ordered Salmon New Orleans at a price of $17.99 and was told it was only a half portion; there were no post notes on the page nor any description stating that in the description of the entree. The waitress did however tell me verbally that it was a half portion for that price. I found this to be misleading, false advertising and customer beware. After speaking with the food manager, he told me the prices of fish were on the first page of the menu which I found strange because how many people look on the first page of the menu instead of going directly into the menu to a dinner selection.

I would drive from Titusville every week. I moved to Casselberry and I thought I would enjoy your meals, but you changed and I stopped going to your place and now I work with mentally challenged adults. Most of them love your food, but I'm not taking them. You were a place that you would be able to eat at a reasonable price, but now your meals are not worth the price.

I managed companies for over 25 years, I have never seen bad customer service by a manager like I experienced on June 26 at the Red Lobster at 5555 Montgomery store. I ordered lunch with a few changes of which I had done on a dozen previous trips to the Red Lobster but this time the manager proceeded to tell me the cost would be double. She said the flounder was more than the shrimp. (lol) Pound for pound shrimp cost more. Anyway, it was not only embarrassing but it was bad management. Train your managers better Red Lobster, give the customer what they want without ripping them off. I use to go once a week. I will not return to this location.

24-June-2015 met family and friends at Red Lobster, Springfield OH at 5:30 PM. Ordered Salmon, Lobster and Shrimp plate. Food arrived, looked good. Salmon cooked OK. Small Lobster Tail rubbery, could not cut off a bite with the butter knife. Manager wandered by "how is everything?" I told her the lobster was too rubbery and I needed a sharp knife to cut it. She said "Oh, you just need to use the little fork" but I didn't have one so she sent it over. Everything but the salmon was poorly cooked. The Lobster Tail and the Extra Jumbo shrimp were difficult to chew up. The miniature potatoes were dry without butter or any kind of sauce. The green beans were easier to eat when they were raw.
I caught the waitress and begged her for a sharp knife. She brought one, holding it gingerly by the blade with a napkin. My son says they were messing with me. G R U M B L E! The steak knife cut the beans with difficulty but the smaller pieces were not edible. The waitress went to get the manager again and when she came over to make nice I said that she had blown that 20-minutes ago when she told me to "just use the little fork". I told her she was a ** manager because she did not do her job. She said I could not swear at her and said I had to leave the restaurant. She said she had paid for my meal. Thought that would make everything OK. Clearly not a very good manager.

I am from the West Coast. Eating seafood at Red Lobster is like having Mexican food at Taco Bell. I have been to Red Lobster three times in the last two years and have been very disappointed with the quality of food they put out. I would not recommended seafood lovers to eat at Red Lobster. It is a place for people that don't know what real seafood should taste like.

Theirs last a day... Mine lasted 4 days. I contacted our county health board and found out I wasn't the only one severely sick from this Red Lobster location. The General Manager called today and said he was very sorry for the food poisoning (his exact words). He said he was filing a insurance claim for liability. ** from Zurich Insurance company called shortly after and took my statement. He said he was going to access liability and get back to me. The food which is usually delicious was terrible on mother's day. The king crab legs were cooked way too long and were mushy for the most part. The create your own that I always get was terrible. I didn't eat it. You would think the waitress would have noticed and probably would have if she had came back to check on us more than once. The shrimp was hard and I think warmed up. The coconut was actually burnt and had so much red pepper on it it burned my mouth. The shrimp scampi wasn't scampi - it hadn't seen any garlic, there was pimiento, green onions and olive oil in it and that's all I know how to make scampi. The next time I'll stay home and do it instead of wasting my money on something that bad.

I got food poisoning from the San Bernardino, Ca Red Lobster on Hospitality Lane. The Red Lobster insurance rep stated there was no proof I got food poisoning from their establishment, due to the fact that I did not go to the dr. What a cop out for Red Lobster. This is a legitimate case of food poisoning. However, Red Lobster takes no responsibility for the poisonous toxic shrimp I consumed from their eating establishment. The rep acted as if I was coming at them with a million dollar lawsuit - ridiculous!!! I had the ultimate feast for $30 and got ULTIMATE FOOD POISONING, with Red Lobster ducking and dodging and taking zero responsibility.
I'm going to see what other options I have. I'm not willing to pay $1, 5, 10, 20 or $30's for food poisoning! What infuriates me the most is the handling of "mishandling" of my complaint, the dismissive "oh well" attitude Red Lobster takes when one gets ill after eating their food! I am going to get the word out, and perhaps check with public health???

Well, I use to work for Red Lobster on Erie Blvd E for almost two years. I was terminated for getting into an argument with another co worker. After two years have gone by, I've decided to reapply back to the restaurant because I know I was a very good worker. I loved working there and I just had a bad day that day. Anyways, I received the email for an interview so I was very excited. Yes, I get another chance. So, I get off work and I head straight to the interview. The person who was suppose to interview me was not there so I was given the newest manager to interview me. Let me tell you, THE INTERVIEW LASTED 4 MINUTES!!! SHE HAD NO PERSONALITY!!! SHE WAS VERY DULL!!! SHE DIDN'T ASK HOW WAS IT GOING, HOW WAS THE WEATHER, SHE NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT HERSELF, NOTHING!!!
I was so excited to be there. She brought my spirits and hopes down from even having the interview. I feel like she didn't give me a chance, as if she had her mind made up that she wasn't going to hire me, and that's exactly what happened. I'm very upset because I feel as if she already judged me, and I wasn't given a fair interview by someone with no personality who use to be a culinary chef before manager. Why didn't ** the assistant manager interview me, someone with experience, who I could relate to? I feel I was set up for failure, and it was not fair. But, I'm still employed with the same attitude I had when I got the job the first time, so why didn't I get the job this time? RL, NEXT TIME YOU INTERVIEW, MAKE SURE THE INTERVIEWER HAS PERSONALITY. SHE'S REPRESENTING YOUR COMPANY. SHE LET A VERY GOOD WORKER PASS FOR NO REASON.

Then, the food came and it was nothing like I had at other Red Lobster Restaurant. I was so upset because I was expecting to have a nice dinner with my other half. We just had a very upsetting experience at Red Lobster. We waited for 45-50 minutes. During this time several parties, approximately 15-20 were seated that arrived after we did. We also saw three parties leave because they waited too long. We sat at the bar right behind the hostesses. I saw one of them take money from someone and seat them immediately. This is the place our family usually goes for celebrations, i.e. Birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
We parked next to a young couple and walked in behind them and registered right after them. They left after their meal just as we were seated. I am very disappointed because this has always been my favorite restaurant. Our server was fantastic. We will not return to this location... Syracuse, New York on Erie Blvd. I will miss Red Lobster, but it is difficult to enjoy your meal when you are upset. We left before we received our receipt, but we did speak to the manager. I have never written a review before, but this was a very upsetting experience.

Hi, my name is Anthony ** and I am a frequent customer of OUR Red Lobster on 10700 Parallel Parkway- Kansas City, Kansas 66109. I decided to host a big gathering with my closest family members in celebration of both my son going back to college and my favorite aunt’s recent marriage engagement. The only question was where should it be? I spoke with each family member to see if there was some place in particular they wanted to gather to make it comfortable for all. They each said unequivocally, “You choose, we trust your judgment.”
I was looking for a restaurant that was local, cozy, upscale, clean, great food, healthy menu choices, and a family oriented environment. This was extremely important to me because 6 of my beloved family members attending are over 60 years of age and dealing with health issues. My mother is a conqueror of lung cancer and my uncle of triple by-pass heart surgery. Their eating habits are very stringent and virtually consist of fruits and vegetables blended in a Vitamix machine. They unexpectedly decided to join the rest of the family in a night of celebration. I was soooo excited! Without hesitation I thought, Red Lobster!!! After all, I frequent this establishment and was very confident it would be an unforgettable experience for all. I had no idea the experience would be a NIGHTMARE!!!
Reservations were called and made a day in advance for Saturday, Feb. 7th @ 7:00 under the name **. After several of my elderly family members were literally standing for an hour we were seated at 8:00. Mass confusion shortly ensued. We were assigned 2 waiters/waitress to accommodate our larger than normal number of guests. One waitress would work one half of the table and the second waiter would work the other half. We each placed our orders and the NIGHTMARE began!
Each of us was served our drinks in a timely fashion. There were four alcoholic beverages and the others were water. Two of the four alcoholic drinks were initially wrong when served (The Strawberry Daiquiri and Lobsterita were wrong). The waitress proceeded to go back to correct the mistake. The second time around she bought me my correct drink (Strawberry Daiquiri) but the Lobsterita was again wrong. The third time around the Lobsterita drink was correct but it was EXTREMELY tart and incorrectly prepared. The fourth time around the manager ** came over to take the drink back to ensure it was made correctly. Fortunately, this time, it was. We proceeded with ordering our food and my sister asked the waiter for a kids menu for her two young daughters ages 2 and 4.
Every one of us is huge fans of the bread that is traditionally served pre-meal. After 15 minutes my mother asked if there were going to be any bread served. The waitress said they were in the oven. After 30 minutes my mother asked if there were going to be any bread served. The waitress said they were still in the oven. My mother replied, they should be burnt by now and we all chuckled. Fifteen minutes later the appetizers were served. Still, NO BREAD! Five minutes later, after waiting 40 minutes, the waitress came and put 1 freaking serving of bread on the table for a party of 12. INCREDIBLE! The waitress replied, every time they make them someone else takes them. I questioned why she was never there to take any. UNBELIEVABLE! Oh yeah, my sister had the incorrect appetizer and my cousin was served her side of baked potato 5 minutes before her meal arrived.
The meals were now being served and you guessed it, still one serving of bread! After three different attempts to get everyone their correct meals we were all finally eating as a family. Five minutes later in comes another single serving of bread. Still, no kids menu. My sister asked the waiter for a second time if he could get a kids menu. Ten minutes later still no kids menu. The poor kids were so hungry we simply started feeding them off of our plates. I then asked if they could simply bring some popcorn shrimp for the babies. To hell with the kids menu. My uncle joined the party late and ordered a sweet tea that he never received. By now we’re all wondering where the manager ** is hiding!
From this point the waitress did a good job of accommodating our requests during the meal while the waiter was nowhere to be found for the rest of the night. There were other minor mistakes but I’m too mentally drained to mention them. We concluded our meal around 9:15 and the fun began. I’ll quickly note the ensuing NIGHTMARE because Stephen King couldn’t have written it any worse! Keep in mind all the food was divided into 5 separate tickets.
9:15: We asked for our tickets. 9:30: Every single ticket was incorrect. Everyone’s food was on the wrong ticket and I was overcharged for an additional lb. of crab meat. 9:40: Four of the five tickets were incorrect. My sister’s ticket was correct so she paid. 9:50: The waitress left and returned. Again, all four tickets were incorrect. The manager ** then finally decided to come and assist the overwhelmed waitress with the tickets. YEAH!!! 9:55: The manager ** then brought my corrected ticket to me so I paid. Three more tickets to go. 10:00: The waitress left and returned. Again, all 3 tickets were incorrect. The manager ** had left the overwhelmed waitress unattended yet again!
10:05: My mother and two aunts wrote exactly what each of them ordered on a piece of paper and handed it to the waitress because we were all mentally exhausted, very cranky, and totally devastated by this experience at this point. 10:15: The waitress left and returned. You’re not going to believe this! Two of the three tickets were STILL wrong. My aunt’s ticket was correct so she paid. We just wanted Calgon to take us away at this point. My mother asked the waitress if she still had the orders they wrote on the sheet of paper and she replied, “Yes.” The waitress then asked the absent waiter if he could come help. WHERE IS **!!!
10:20: (The breaking point). The two remaining tickets with the exact orders written on a piece of paper and given to the waitress WERE STILLLLLLLLLLLL WROOOOOOONG! My aunt replied, “We’re too old for this and we’ve been here since 7:00!” My mother replied, “If you bring us the wrong tickets again I’m walking out of the door!” 10:30: Thankfully, the absent manager ** finally helped with the two corrected tickets.
I truly wondered if this staff had ever been trained. I truly wondered if they hated one another because no one was helping anyone. I truly wondered if they’d ever heard of the word communication. I truly wondered if we were on a TV show and where were the cameras hid. I truly wondered if ** would ever stop the bleeding. I truly wondered if they understood the rich tradition of Red Lobster. Regretfully, I truly wondered if they wanted hard working citizens of the community dining at their restaurant. I couldn’t lie this good if I tried! Everything I stated is very factual and can be verified by your computer system and the parties involved. I have never been more humiliated in my entire life! The worst restaurant experience in the history of man. My uncle bluntly said, Nephew, you are relieved of your restaurant suggestions! Everyone burst into laughter while I melted away in embarrassment. We did not leave until 10:30!
Finally, the waitress (not **) brought our final two tickets to us. After the worst restaurant experience known to man and a $330 dollar bill + tips, with a distraught smile she simply said, “I’m sorry” and walked away. Yes, we tipped because that’s the way we were raised! My mother called and spoke with the manager today about the horrendous service that night. The manager said she would look into this matter and call her back. No return call! Needless to say the next time I choose to share an intimate moment with those that I love the most, it won’t be with Red Lobster. This particular restaurant is downright offensive and incompetent! After further review, Red Lobster is no longer OURS! You can have it back! P.S. For all those reading I will let you know how the corporate office responds!

Red Lobster continues to disappoint. The food is not fresh or hot or tasty. We ordered the Clam Chowder soup which was hot but had little to no clams and was thick and clumpy with no taste. The Admiral's Feast had barely warm, soggy and bready fish, shrimp and calm strips. I swear I could not distinguished the taste of meat on the plate at all. The food must have been previously frozen. But, even so, I have had better meals from the frozen food section of the grocery store. The admiral's feast was close to 20.00 bucks! Captain D's would have made a better choice. The utensils were not clean and had to be replaced. We did not even receive hush puppies at all. I will never eat at another! The whole meal for two was 60.00 bucks. We paid with cash and did not get a receipt.

We get out of church on Sunday about 12:30 or 1 o'clock and we have been to Red Lobster in the past, but the last 2 visits will more than likely be our last. We didn't mind the 35 min. wait to be seated. We arrived about 2 pm from Paintsville, KY and it took several times after we got seated to get the waitress to be reminded we had no bread, which we had to wait about 45 mins. at least to even get our biscuits then another 45 mins to get a salad. Finally at about 4 o'clock, some of us got our meals which by that time we were actually starved and getting ready to get up and walk out. We got done about 5:30 and vowed to never go back again.
I would like to know what is the problem in Huntington, WV with the Red Lobster that it took us so long to get our food. Your company needs to do something about this problem and if and when we go back, we will only wait a short time to get biscuits because you should have a good supply of them on hand especially on Sunday afternoon, or we will just get up and to another restaurant where we can get some food in a decent amount of time. I would really like to hear a response of the excuse you can give for the service at this restaurant.

I'm very dissatisified with how everything went for my dinner. First and foremost I've been going to Red Lobster for years to the point where I remember the Rockzilla Lobster tail and the huge parrot bay coconut shrimp and New England sampler. But what concerns me is the service I received at this location and the fact that I requested the lobster lovers dream and the first thing out of the server's mouth was, "Our lobster fest doesn't start till February 2, 2015," and I was like I get that which is not what I asked. I asked to have the meal and will pay the difference which Red Lobster at other locations has done for me before. I'm tired of this corporate-minded policy when others have done it and was a non-issue and felt like I was fighting to have the meal I truly love and was taken away.
First of all this isn't how you treat your guests and not to mention when the food did arrive they brought three separate plates of which they had one for the Maine lobster tail, one plate for two skewers of scallops which were overcooked and rubbery tasting, and the third plate had the rock lobster meal with broccoli. A simple request ended up costing me $65 which I'm not Happy about and furthermore basically charged me for three separate items when all they had to do was charge a meal similar and add the difference for the second set of scallop skewers like other Red Lobsters have done.
I want my complaint to go to someone of authority in the company even an executive level and not to mention I used two of my $25 gift cards which i worked hard to earn because they were given to me from my employer for a job well done. Just wish the food was better and upper management would quit looking at the numbers and focus more on quality of the food coming out because i''m not impressed. What I want is my money back and then some so I can just maybe in the future give your restaurant another chance.
I did speak with a manager who by the way never came to our table immediately and my server was even like, "The manager hasn't come over yet." I will say the manager did a great job putting on a fake face and smile and was speechless as to what happened but didn't really do much outside of sounding robotic and taking just one of the skewer scallops off my meal which I felt was a slap in the face. I have sent a complaint to Red Lobster. I will wait to see what they are going to do for me from my experience at the Olympia, Washington location.

Order of these mushrooms was only 4 and with the very small and distasteful cheese sticks totaled a whopping $11.48! (Stuffed mushrooms (4) not 8 costs an additional $1.99!) Receipt offers participation in an already expired (12/28/14) Sweepstakes. Red Lobster's quality in food is less and while their pricing (if they tell you what it is before you order it) is greater. Ordering without knowing the price is like marrying a blind date. Why does Red Lobster falsely advertise an offer for participation in an expired, non-existing sweepstakes? We arrived at the restaurant at 7:15 p.m. and did not leave until 10:05 p.m. When we sat down, we indicated that we needed some plates to go--never received the order we placed when we first sat down. This was by far the worst restaurant experience I ever experienced--and I really was looking forward to some good seafood--but that didn't happen tonight.

On June 5, 2014, a friend and I went to lunch at approximately 1:45 pm at the Red Lobster on Lake Worth Road and Military-Palm Beach County, in Lake Worth, Fl.. Mind you, we chose from the lunch menu for the choices. My stuffed flounder/with one other choice should have been no more than $10.97 for lunch. She switched the menu and charged me double, using the "Dinner" menu in place of the lunch.. We questioned her about the cost and even though it was lunch time, she then came out with the same dinner menu, I then requested the lunch menu which is the cost that I should have had to pay. On my way going out, I requested to speak to the Manager. He wasn't in at that time.. I'm totally upset about this situation and it needs to be corrected immediately. I request a reimbursement for the overcharge.

A friend was dining at Red Lobster located in Lawrenceville, NJ and while being served, the waiter dropped a glass plate onto the table injuring both my friend's eyes. I must write this experience for him due to his being visually impaired and disabled. This Red Lobster's staff nor owners (Darden Restaurants) hasn't even sent a letter of apology, although a Federal district judge ruled in favor of my friend and that this restaurant is liable for damages. I cannot believe my friend's change in livelihood, character, and drive since these permanent visual in differences in his life. Please never ever get personally injured by any of their staff...

On Saturday, 01/26/2013, my daughters, my grandson & I visited the location at 5201 S Pulaski Chicago, IL. It was a busy night; the wait was 45 minutes. While waiting, my 4-y/o grandson accidentally bumped into one of the patrons while trying to get into his mother's lap. He did apologize as did his mother on his behalf. However, that wasn't good enough for the patron. She got very aggressive and continued to have words with my daughter. It escalated to a loud argument in which management was called to the front of the restaurant. The patron then stood up and proceeded to get into my daughter's face.
To make a long story short, we all were asked to leave the restaurant which was fine because, at this point, it had become frustrating and draining. It was best we left. While we were leaving, we noticed the other patron involved was allowed to stay. That's totally unfair, when they were the reason for the whole chaotic incident. We returned inside the restaurant to speak with the managers who asked to leave. We were talked to very rudely and disrespectfully and asked to leave again. We asked for their names as well as the corporate number for the restaurant.
The male manager called me a damn fool and it's sad he wasn't giving me his name, although I had already obtained his name from another employee. He did not provide me with his name as sure he wasn't trained to not cooperate and provide rude customer service. The female manager gave her first name but refused to provide a last name or a corporate phone number. She stated she didn't have to provide us anything she said to get the ** out of her restaurant as she had called the police.
I've never ever been treated so horribly in my life. Those two employees definitely shouldn't be a part of anyone's management team and they need extensive training in customer service. I will never patronize another Red Lobster and will spread the word on the way my family & I were treated; it is unthinkable.

We went in for lunch and it was very slow. We ended up with an extremely rude waitress whom we maybe saw three times during the entire meal. Every time we saw her, we asked her to bring biscuits. She never brought us any to start with. We never got any, until after the meal came, and we only got one each. There were two of us dining. When we asked for more later, she rolled her eyes at us.
She told us they were very busy, when there were three cars in the parking lot. She was rude, and made us never want to go back to Red Lobster again. I reported this to the corporate office including the waitress's name, and they asked me for my mailing address so they could respond properly. That was back in April. I have yet to hear back from them. We will not be back to one of the restaurants we used to frequent often, at least once a month.

It took us 45 minutes to get seated, even though there was plenty of empty seating. Another 10 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order, 15 minutes to get our drinks and take our order. Two hours later, we had not received our food order. There was one excuse after another. We finally asked to speak to the manager which told us he would check on our food order and would be right back. Ten minutes later, we finally walked out. The manager is standing in the front speaking to someone and never bothered to even acknowledge us as we left. Instead, he scurried back to the kitchen.
We thought that after 2 hours we had had enough of this place. We were seated in a back room with filthy tables. There was an ** family there with us in the room. I had noticed that it took the other family approximately 20 minutes just to receive coffee. I felt like we were being discriminated by secluding us in the back of the restaurant when there was plenty of room in the front dining area. This ruined a perfect evening for us. My son was home from the military and wanted some really good seafood. Even though I had never eaten there, I thought it would be a nice place to eat. The service was lousy and inexcusable. It ruined a nice holiday for our family.

My son Stephen ** applied for a summer job position as a (bus boy). My son was directed by Melissa ** (manager) to come back with his hair slick back. So, I blew out his hair. Melissa stated to Stephen to buy (Jam) a hair gel. That was not good enough. Melissa said to straighten out his hair some more. Okay fine, I, as his mother, relaxed my son's hair so that it would be as straight as possible to her liking. Still, she said to come back on the following day, June 12, 2006 after school at 4:00PM to pick up his schedule. Stephen complied then Melissa ** stated she needed to talk to another manager (Conrad **) about Stephen's position there.
Mr. ** then stated to Stephen that he won't be hired because he is looking for someone who is "Clean cut and no hair. There is a new written policy." My son was definitely broken up inside. He was led to believe that if he straighten his hair, he would have the job. In my eyes, that is called discrimination. His option was to cut his hair off or straighten his hair. He is a 17-year old youth who is doing well in high school as a junior who is looking to work and have some kind of self-independency. What a way to mislead a young youth. He was only applying to be a bus boy, not the damn owner or assistant manager. Just a job to keep him busy in the summertime as well as help him better understand the working world, working and having your own money.
Stephen has done everything to show that he was very much interested in working. I have been working for the Health Dept and Mental Hygiene for the last 14 years. I am not pleased with the unprofessionalism with this franchise.

On July 29th, I took my wife and daughter as well as myself to Red Lobster for dinner. To make this as short as possible, I paid the check by credit card. I crossed off the line for the tip and signed the credit card receipt for the meal only. I did leave a generous cash tip for the waitress who happened to be very pleasant. The next day, I called my bank and noticed that Red Lobster, without my approval, had added 15% to my credit card bill without my approval. I believe this is fraud, but Red Lobster claims this is their policy. I have not yet received reimbursement. If you can provide any assistance, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was in the Red Lobster in Plano, TX on July 13, 2001. The bill, including the tip was $50.00. I used my Bank One Card/ATM to pay the bill. On Saturday, July 14, I checked my account and the bank had a pending amount of $52.54. When I called the bank, they told me that Red Lobster and all restaurants always charge a 2% buffer for their protection in case the money was not there when the charge got there. I believe that this is an unfair practice especially since the bank keeps the money pending until they received the paperwork from the restaurant. I would like to understand exactly what the restaurant needs protection from. I also believe that the bank simply has more of your money tied up for 10 days. The restaurants do not tell you that they are going to do this and the bank sure doesn't. Of course, the bank is never wrong.
