Oh and you'll get your money in 3 to 7 days!? Meanwhile I've got to pull another $400 out of my ** to get some groceries.

I made a grocery order and the person working for Instacart charged things that wasn’t even on my original order! Then didn’t give me the things I did order! Then speaking to a representative of instacart named Evangelina, she was Very unprofessional and Useless. Telling me there is nothing they can do. No refund or anything to assure this person wouldn’t scam someone else. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she kept trying to place me on long holds to get me to hang up. They are scammers and thieves. Just ridiculous

There is no way to turn off auto-renew or an intuitive way (if at all) to cancel your account. They prey on the fact that you will forget your renewal date like I keep doing for the past two years and then charge you $99 again, for another year. Further, if you are lucky you will get a good shopper but for the most part, stores are out of stuff and substitutions are rarely what you really want. Further, FORGET MEN SHOPPERS. I love men, don't get me wrong, but it's not an intuitive job for them.

If you can your best bet is to get into your car and go to the store if you are looking to save money. For me, they are too expensive. I went to Aldi's today and between the Service Fee, Driver's Tip and tax I bought coffee filters paid .12 for tax had I used Instacart I would have paid .52 for tax. Every item that I purchased had I used Instacart would have been up to .40 cents more. By going to the store myself I saved $15.48. Best to go to the store yourself if you can.

Instacart shoppers often fail to check expiration dates, that is part of my complaint with them. So the customer can easily get products with very short lifetimes. Over time, I have received several refunds for items that had unreasonable expiration dates. (Only rarely have I received items that were actually expired.) On 3/13/23 I received two half-gallons of Darigold Ultra Pasteurized heavy cream from Costco through Instacart. Ultra Pasteurized cream usually has an expiration date two months or more ahead. These two half-gallons had an expiration date of 4/6/23, less than 3 weeks away. Instacart refused to give me a refund. I consume almost a gallon a month, this cream will have to be discarded before the first carton is fully used up. I notified Costco in Kirkland, WA of the date on these items so they can remove them. I have cancelled my account with Instacart.

I placed an Instacart order for delivery from Aldi's on 3/13. When the delivery driver arrived, I noticed she spent an exorbitant amount of time in her trunk, before putting my groceries on the porch. However, I was in a meeting and I could not come downstairs immediately. I heard the car backing out of my driveway, but she never rang my doorbell to confirm that she dropped off my order. When I got to the door, there were only two bags on my porch. I looked through the bags and four items are missing. I immediately sent a message to the Instacart driver to which she ignored. I logged on to the app and I reported my missing items and I reduce her tip. About 30 minutes later, the Instacart driver comes back with one of the four missing items. By this time, InstaCart has given me a credit for @$21. I reported that the driver returned one of the four items (being honest).

I wake up to an $11.86 deduction from my bank account by InstaCart under their 50 Beale Street address (not their Instacart name), but their Beale street address. Meaning, the driver stated that she returned two items, when she only returned one. I had to determine how they came up with $11.86. No update, no communication from InstaCart regarding the second deduction. People make mistakes, but this wasn't a mistake. The item she returned was not in a bag. She literally sat my food on the ground and I have camera footage. InstaCart never asked me for my video footage. I have three cameras on my property, including a doorbell camera. They just took the word of their driver and went into my bank account unauthorized for an inaccurate amount.

Been doing Instacart for about a year to supplement my income. I find it frustrating the methods and practices Instacart operates by. All too often, they tend to batch poor tippers with good tippers. Based on my experience this keeps "batch" payments low and never over an average of 10-30 dollars for my area. Not only does this practice cap the amount we can make but it provides an unequal services to the consumer. One person is carrying the entire order of the other. Sometimes I go out of my way to find additional items added, to find the perfect substitutions only to find out that person tipped 3 dollars vs 20 for the other shopper.

In addition, there are too many 3 person batches. For example: a 13 dollar order for 40 items and 3 deliveries? Two different stores? This will take me with check out times, deli wait times, finding the items and delivery over an hour. Probably close to 2 hours. So we are talking 6.50 an hour? Less than minimum wage? Sadly, those who are really struggling or relying on this Instacart for their only source of income get taken advantage of by these practices. My suggestion, stop 3 person batches with 3 deliveries unless from the same store. Stop multiple store deliveries all together. Stop batching bad tippers with good tippers. Last but not least, they have tiers for instacart shoppers. None of which provide rewards to EV drivers. Gas discounts, oil changes discounts, all useless to me. Think ahead Instacart. Poorly thought out.

So I spent a couple hours putting together a Costco order. Instacart canceled. No explanation, nothing. I called and they said, the order was suspicious so they canceled my order and deactivated my account. I can't even go back and look at past orders because my account is deactivated. Even though this was to an address I had previously ordered. They never tried reaching out to me or anything, just canceled and deactivated my entire account. I reached out to them and learned of this when Costco sent an email that my order had been canceled. But it gets way worse... They told me to send a pic of my driver's license, and they would reactivate and I can reorder. Mind you this was a same day delivery. So I did this, it still didn't work. So I call back and they say it will take 24-48 hours. Mind you this was a large order that I needed the same day.

Even though this was clearly a mistake on their part and my account should have never been deactivated, they can't contact anyone inside their company to help escalate despite my endless trying because I really need this order as I am on vacation and 48 hours is literally already 3 days into my vacation. So the people that can fix did finally did email me later that evening and now they requested a picture my credit card showing the last four digits, so I did this. But it's still not enough! Now they want a pic of the front of my card with my name. I literally feel like they are stealing my identity. I mean seriously.

I have talked to numerous people now and have sent a pic of my driver's license, a pic of my last 4 digits of my credit card number but am now nervous to keep sending them pictures of my info due to identity theft. I have contacted them through the email and phone number I have had on file for years. Do not even waste your time doing business with them, it's scary and not worth the hassle! I will be sending all of my correspondence to both Costco and Instacart to show them how ridiculous this is and after reading the other reviews, I am not the only one.

My order was delivered. About half of the items I ordered were missing. Instead, I received one bag that was apparently from somebody else's order. I immediately texted the delivery person. No reply. I then contacted the "chat" for customer service. They said they would issue a refund, to wait a couple of minutes. They came back and said they could not do that, but to email orderappeals@instacart.com. I immediately did that. They replied that they could not assist me because I did not have a ticket number. I then filed a complaint on the page where they asked to rate the order, and did indeed get a ticket number, so I resent my complaint to that email address. No reply.

I included a copy of the "chat" instructing me to contact them; I sent a copy of my order and a list of the missing items. I received no reply from orderappeals. But I did receive about a dozen or more robotic messages, all signed by a different name, saying: "We are sorry to hear that you did not received items in your order. Let me check and get this right for you. We reviewed your request and, unfortunately, We are not able to issue any refunds, credits, or redelivery on this order." No reason given for why they cannot help me to resolve this issue.

When asked to rate how satisfied I was with Customer Service (!), this is what I wrote:--- "This has not been resolved. I have been given no reason. I have followed all instructions for what to do. Surely - it cannot be acceptable for an order to be placed, and for the about 1/2 of the order to be missing and to be replaced instead with items from somebody else's order? I have received dozens of messages saying "I'm definitely going to take care of this for you." These messages say that they cannot address my issue, however -- with no reason being given.

I have written, as instructed to orderappeals@instacart.com but have not received any resolution from them either. These seem to be form messages, all including very similar wording. Is there no human who is reading my messages, and responding to the issues I have reported?? This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I will not hesitate to share my experience broadly with other potential customers, and I will take my business elsewhere in the future unless this is resolved in a satisfactory way.---" I have received no reply to that either.

When I went to Dillions to try to fix, I found out the Instacart was a separate company. Dillions was willing to process a refund, but there was no way to have the items sent to us without reorder. I called Instacart, had to list the items twice, then they processed the refund. Only way to get the items we needed was to place a new order. We've done 4 orders through them, 3 were fine, and this one was messed up. I don't like the odd of 1 of 4, so I will not be using instacart in the future.

I have read that Instacart prices may (keyword "may") be higher than store prices. In my recent case, that would be an understatement. I had prepared an order to be placed with M&M Foods. When I mentioned to the hubby that I was about to place the order he reminded me that we would be driving past an M&M the next day. Why not just place order with M&M & pickup from them? Which I did. Now, maybe I might not have noticed a difference in price on a couple items but the difference in the M&M order and the Instacart (M&M) order on 7 items was a whopping $19.50. After using Instacart on several previous occasions, I wonder how much money I have lost due to extra charges. Bye, Bye Instacart, I can’t trust you anymore.

Apparently the customer should be punished when the Instacart shopper chooses the wrong item! On my next order I reported receiving an incorrect item (an item that I pre-selected the option to be refunded if the item was not in stock, rather than choose a substitution), and I received an e-mail that my account is no longer eligible to receive credits or refunds unless I go through an appeals process! I have been using Instacart for some time. I probably get my groceries from them at least three times a month. Yesterday I ordered some ready made food from the supermarket with them to deliver to my job. The supermarket is about two miles away but I can't leave so I wanted it delivered. As soon as the lady driver accepted my delivery I wrote to her to let her know that the map on the app shows my work location as being South of where I actually am. But I reassured her it was very simple, it's a major street and instead of turning south as the app says, just keep going straight. Anyway she said she understood and that she would call me when she was close anyway. According to the app she picked up the food. Then I see that she's driving around it what seemed circles, not even getting close to the major street. Then suddenly I get a message saying the order was cancelled by the driver.

I was very surprised because if she was lost she could have just called me. But the order was cancelled, as if I had never placed it and it said I was getting a refund. Last night I went in the app because I really thought that was unprofessional of the driver. No, I don't want her fired, but she should have said something. So I'm trying to see where I can leave a comment, but since it was cancelled it doesn't let you do anything. But what I did see is that Instacart was charging me $15 for cancelation. It's a lot, but I would understand if I had canceled, but why am I getting punished? And on top of that they never said, "You'll get a refund, but for $15!" They didn't even tell me.

So of course I call and I was upset, and they said, "Oh, we will wave it this time." But that's not right. That should not be their policy to begin with. I told them but of course the poor person listening to me has zero fault. I figured the best thing was to leave reviews about it so people are aware of this practice. It may make someone think twice about ordering. And to say it was waived, like it was a favor to me. That infuriated me more. Anyway, that was my experience.

I didn't like the idea of having to pay for a membership to Instacart to shop at Aldi, but with my husband and I no longer able to drive to the store to buy groceries, it seemed like there was no choice to be able to get the items we needed on a regular basis. Some of the deliveries were flawless, but most had problems. Who deliberately shops for bright green bananas? In the short time we had our membership, this happened not once, but twice, by two different shoppers. We ordered fresh blueberries twice and both times they arrived with mold around the stems. My shopper notes about choosing fully ripe fruit with no signs of mold was ignored. Some of the milk and bread items they chose did not have as long of a shelf life as what you would expect, so I had to add that to the shopper's notes.

The biggest problem was when we discovered a bag of frozen honey barbecue chicken wings had been thawed and refrozen before we even opened it. We discovered that about a week after receiving it since we weren't ready to eat them yet. My husband called Customer Service to report it. He explained the situation and the agent asked or him to hold. She finally came back after holding 40 minutes and said she was still looking into it, but didn’t sound like she cared at all. She put him back on an endless hold again.

He finally hung up and called back and got a much nicer agent. After holding for another long while, she finally said she could help us and was about to give us a credit for our next order, but was interrupted by a male voice. She put my husband back on another very long hold and when she finally came back, said she couldn’t give us the refund because we had too many refunds. He explained that we had refunds for green bananas, moldy blueberries, and paper towels that the shopper couldn’t find, but didn’t refund them as promised, but those were shopper issues, not things we did. She still said our account would need to be sent to the investigations department first, but once they cleared us, she would process the refund. She asked us to wait patiently for 4 or 5 days for that to be complete and we would receive an email. He asked her to please make notations in our account so the information would not be lost and she assured him she would.

We waited and no email arrived, so I called back today. The agent I spoke with shockingly told me she had no record of us ever calling in about it at all! I was here in the room and heard my husband make that call since he was on speaker phone. Both calls as a matter of fact. But she assured me that checking our phone numbers and email account, we had never called in. Since the recording says that all calls are recorded, I asked if she could check those records and she said she was not allowed to do that. She said since we didn’t report the issue, she couldn’t possibly give us a refund because it was too late. I canceled our membership and after reading all of the other reviews about Instacart, I realize how we are so much better off now not having to deal with this horrible company. Aldi is a great place to shop in person, but they really need to find a better way for home delivery like Walmart does.

If they are having such issue as to lock out the customer then don't allow the credit card information to be saved it that's their excuse. Three days later, stuck at home after surgery, I have no groceries. Always when ive needed it most. Get them on the phone and nice as pie and tell you they're sending you an email but that's useless because unlocking your account requires whole separate department to look into it. so no groceries for me. and unfortunately we have no supermarkets in the SC area that deliver, like Stop and Shop Peapods up north. Enticed by the convenience of the service I signed up as a member of Instacart last year and paid the $100+ fee. I knowingly paid the membership fee, I also agreed to service fees for each order and the tip for the shopper, however what I did not know and only found out many months later is that Instacart also RANDOMLY MARKS UP EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM THAT YOU BUY. For example onions could be $1.49 and Instacart charges you $1.89. Bagels may be $3.49 and they charge you $6.49 (this actually happened!). Instacart takes $0.40 plus for each item in addition to the membership fee, service fee, heavy lifting fee, and tip. I tried to dispute these random markups with my credit card company and was denied. **

My advise: move away from Instacart! For groceries ordering from Mariano's/Kroger/Walmart etc directly and either picking it up or having it delivered is a much better idea. Also using Amazon Fresh is still reasonable. Or if you want cheapest: shop in-store at Aldi. Instacart is not communicating in a transparent way to its customers!

This $99 charge is now just free money in the bank for their company. It is hard on people who are not able to afford charges like these that are not truly transparent to new customers. It is a wonderful way to get needed items to elderly people but at taking money out of innocent people's pockets. Unfortunately, I thought this service was fantastic and shared with my family. After today I have made it known to all of them of the poor customer service and the underlying charges that they would be charged. All of my family members have discontinued instacart services. How many other unknowing customers will be charged? I don't expect anything to be a free service but I do expect for a service to let me know that I will have a subscription fee after a certain time. Unfortunately, not all of the customers that would benefit from this service are able to read and understand 20 pages worth a small print. Very disappointed.

I've had Instacart for about 3 years now and when I first signed up everything went just fine the majority of the time. Of course nothing is perfect all the time and I understand that and I'm understanding that when you deal with people things happen. But now I don't know what is going on but today and earlier in the week when the shopper goes to check out they either don't have their Instacart debit card or they can't use it due to not updating it so the lady on the phone says. Well in my opinion this all comes down to a lack of training on their part. But I'm the one being inconvenienced and I'm considering moving on. Instacart get your crap together or you will go down the drain like so many other companies that don't listen to your customers.

Instacart stole from me. I have never once signed up for their Instacart+ membership, yet I got a $99 charge on my credit card for it. When I reached out to customer service to ask "what gives," they transferred me to another agent that tried to sell me on another, more expensive membership. I requested that they refund me immediately and cancel my account entirely. They only issued the refund - they did not cancel my account. I had to do it manually through the app and it ONLY works if you have an Apple device. That was the end of it for me. Seeing how most grocery stores offer pickup, Instacart is dying out and clearly scrambling to make a quick buck. But to steal from your customers? I think not. I filed a complaint with the BBB.

Prior to this incident, Instacart's service was mediocre at best. The shoppers would consistently screw up my order and never follow instructions. There wasn't an option to request paper or reusable bags. On multiple occasions, I've gotten the entirely wrong order. On top of everything, the amount they charge for individual items is much more expensive than the grocery store charges. I regret signing up with Instacart because I have absolutely no desire to do any more business with them, but now they have my credit card information and goodness knows how that will come back to bite me.

I took a picture of the receipt as the driver would not let me keep the receipt. I tried to get a straight answer from Instacart and all I got was the runaround. How can my bill go from $188 to $258? If that is fees then Instacart is ridiculous and I will not be using them again.

I ordered from Instacart. Their site looks great, but the fees are extreme. I paid $80+ in fees because I was traveling and just really needed groceries but didn't have easy transport due to not being local, nor much time since I was working. Instacart confirmed the date and delivery and then didn't show up. I contacted them and they said they'd needed to reschedule to a new time window. This happened three to four times in a row over the course of several DAYS. No groceries ever showed yet my credit card was charged hundreds of dollars. This is either a scam or a very poorly, unprofessionally run business. Do not use them. They are, at best, unreliable.

I’ve been using Instacart for over 3 years. The quality of service has declined significantly. Shoppers consistently ignore instructions. They buy expired or spoiled items consistently. Orders arrive late. Shoppers buy the large size of the item you ordered or choose replacements that are twice as much money in order to increase their tip. They leave bags outside in the rain instead of listening to the delivery instructions or calling the customer to let them know their bags are outside. You’ll be on hold for an hour trying to get a resolution and still end up being ripped off. If they keep up this trend they will be going out of business. The hassle and added cost to use their service is not worth it. Just go to the store yourself.

Luckily my bank notified and declined the charges at the end and reversed the charges. I called Instacart and screenshot them all the charges which clearly stated Instacart from different states and much larger amounts than I have ever shopped and they were unable to help me. They sent me an email form to fill out and then I got a response that they would get back to me in two days. I canceled Instacart which breaks my heart because I use it almost daily but they are not a secure website. Don’t recommend unless you look at every charge and have a good bank that monitors fraud.

Terrible experience after terrible experience after terrible experience. I've given Instacart so many tries and it continues to disappoint. I officially hit my limit with the last order I attempted to place. I can be understanding as there was snow on the ground, but I scheduled my delivery around 2:30 to be dropped off at 5:30, which then turned in to 6pm, then 6:30pm. I think they meant that my shopper wouldn't finish shopping until about 6:30 so my order was clearly not arriving by 6:30. I added all the substitution options and when to refund me, as with many other people, the shopper decided to substituted whatever they wanted. I had to watch my phone like a hawk.

I got a notification that my shopper finished shopping, but about 10 minutes later she was shopping again and mysteriously several items that had been purchased were no longer on the shopping list. Almost all my items were now not available and were refunded. That doesn't even make sense, if it was all checked out, why are items being removed? Needless to say by 7pm with my order still not even completed I cancelled the order which promoted a customer service rep to call and told me that the shopper "for whatever reason couldn't check out your...item X, item X" The reason was because I chatted the shopper to cancel it. Apparently my shopper was a premier shopper, if that's their "premier" service, I can only imagine how bad their standard service has gotten.

So to make this somewhat short. Someone in my household ended up catching covid. Well that made it a no go for anyone to leave due to quarantine. So go place a Instacart order the person with it is extremely ill so once my order arrives the two most important things they needed was missing. So it's not like I can run out to the store and go grab it, so I get a hold of insta cart they apologize, refunded me the money on the items I did not recieve then proceed to tell me they are giving me a $5 promo credit whatever (the credit they speak is on your account showing as you have to spend $30 to have the $5 promo credit to be used) what crap is that.

So we're at the last day of everything thought well hell let's give instacart another shot, so I went and did my order the night before and schedule on the times "They" offer me which there was like a 3 hour window 7am-10am next day. Well around 8am I get a notice that sorry my order is delayed so I go to check now. Mind you when I picked this time it was perfect because at 11am I was taking my friend to the doctor's to clean bill with the covid so I would be home to get them. Well go check my order delay it says 11:15. I was like panicking in a way cause I knew no one wasn't going to be home and I needed what I got due to we was going to be gone most of the day running around that a grocery store trip wouldn't be available and I couldn't re schedule due to I didn't know what time I would be home. So I called, they apologize, gave me the ** promo credit crap again. Then once I get off the phone I go to check it said 11:30.

So to end the story the shopper didn't start shopping until the time it was suppose to be schedule max time delivery (10am) and I got my order like around noonish or so cause he also had another order to do. Ridiculous they don't refund or give you credits for the inconvenience they have caused and with the covid stuff going on they should be better managed about how their customers depends on this stuff and mistakes like these are not professional or good business.

Contacted their out of country customer support (what a joke) and they told me they didn't want her to "risk her life" delivering groceries. They hung up on me. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. They cancelled my order and I cancelled my account. Very rude customer service and it's NOT cheap. They charge a delivery fee plus a tip for the driver, usually 20% of the total bill.

I went to pick up my order 10 mins after the shopper texted me that he left my order at reception, but it was not there. I reported the issue right away using online chatting. The agent gave me options, I chose redelivery and was told he couldn't do redelivery, so I changed to reorder. The chat ended well with the agent offered me a one month free delivery. I was satisfied with how fast it was resolved, and I gave a 5 star review ending the chat. When I tried to re-order and only found out my account was deactivated! More online chatting till big surprise came, my account was marked with 'Fraud'!

I've been using this same account for the past three years, with over 20 orders and spent over $5k, and now with the first issue ever, a $40 order missing, my account is marked 'fraud', what a joke! I feel so upset, humiliating and insulted. When I expressed my feelings, the agent suddenly ended the chat and disappeared. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Believe me, I can live without Instacart.

I have contacted them about this matter multiple times only to be ignored or get no resolution. One representative told me my refund would be back in my account in 10-14 days but it never was. I have sent screenshots of my bank statement along with emails from the other representatives that I talked to and still not resolved. My account was overdrafted and I had to pay overdraft fees plus put back the money for my other bills because of the double charge.

Worst of all, when I contacted them for refund, they explained that they don’t recommend I cancel the membership, because I would lose the opportunity to receive discounts. Although, this doesn’t make sense after explaining to them that I did not sign up for membership and do not use their service. And then took several minutes until chat transferred to retention agent, who was going to again “review my account “. And then they disappeared. So I had to start over again. This is definitely not the type of organization which I would like to support, so I am disappointed to say that I will never use Instacart again after this experience. Before this happened, I thought it was a good service.

I should've checked reviews here. This really is a scam. I ordered an ornament from Michaels to be delivered to my house. I purchased a book ornament. I also checked the box for a refund if the item was out of stock. 1) They delivered my item to the wrong house, but on the same street. The number wasn't even close to be the same. Example: if my address is 1234 Maple St., they delivered to 6789 Maple St. I can't understand how they got the right street, but not the right house. My house is the first on the street, so the driver drove all the way to the end of the street and didn't even check the number... what kind of service is this? Thankfully, my neighbor was still in. She had been confused why a plastic bag with an ornament had been dropped in front of her house. I was ALSO confused.

    2) The ornament was an ugly bird. Even though I had checked the box for a refund if the item wasn't in stock, they still used my money to buy a CHEAPER than I paid for ornament. My ornament was $18. This ornament was $12! So they pocketed the extra. Not to mention I paid a delivery fee + tip. I wish I could give NO TIP. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I am an Instacart driver. I have been driving for a couple months for them after my full time job and on the weekends. I am a hard worker. I make sure I communicate with my customers and try and chose the best replacements as possible, and if they reject it then I refund, NP. 1. You get a batch that is at a store near your home for ex: 1 shop batch 16 items. You go to the store. Do the shopping. Enter the information with receipt by taking pics and submitting, once you confirm that you have kept the paper receipt, then it shows you where you are going, and it's 20 or 30 min away! How is a store in my neighborhood to be shopped for someone in Glen Carbon Missouri and the store is 30 minutes away? Shouldn't the driver know that ahead of time?

Then they give you about an hour and a half to do it! That is even when they give you 2 people to shop for. They make you shop for both first. Rather than let you shop and deliver for one, and then go get the other. That is why your orders are late. They post the batches with very little details, and it's just as hard for us to get help too!

Yesterday. New Year's Day. A woman that either couldn't or didn't want to go out, placed an order that I picked up. The Batch said it was $20, so I take the 25 minute right to the only store open- Walgreens where she ordered from. They did not have some of the items, and she didnt want any replacements. I drove 15 more minutes to her home in Bethalto, IL (known for prejudice people there and 40 MIN from my home, but I have no way of knowing that until I have finished shopping, where I am going).

The lady saw I was ** and her eyes bucked, and before I could get out of Bethalto my $20 batch had been reduced to $14! She took her tip cuz I am **! I was early dropping it off and everything! Instacart not only let her take my tip, but she was also allowed to leave me an undeserved bad review, that knocked me out of gold status and restricted my batches. There are people out here trying to make an honest living, and the people that aren't even having bad experiences, leaving bad reviews because they are prejudice.

I can't help it if there is a medication shortage. It speaks of it on the news! How can a customer get mad cuz you cant pull a rabbit out your butt? I'm an Instacart driver, not a freaking magician. Customers should call the stores to make sure they have the stuff in stock, if they are that picky. Do your own due diligence before sending unsuspecting shoppers out to get stuff you don't even know is available or not! It's not up to the drivers to make sure your stuff is in stock! And if you are that picky do your own shopping! People are just UNGRATEFUL! And instacart backs them!

I received several promotions at Christmas time. I hadn't used them but thought I would just keep them for a while just in case I wanted to. They were shopping delivery-type promotions. A family member threw their back out, could hardly move, and had tried what they had on hand to get better but after 24 hours was in a lot of pain and still couldn't move. Because I couldn't get to them I looked at the best promotion to get some medicine delivered to them. I had received a promotion from Instacart and so I used that one. I used the link provided by Instacart in that email. I followed the directions and it confirmed my promotion and also gave me a shopping link. I used that link to shop and place my order for delivery. I received a confirmation text from Instacart Kroger and my order was there. I had no concerns until I received my receipt.

Trying to find a way to contact instacart was difficult but finally was able to reach someone through chat. That person told me I had two accounts, one under my phone number and one under my email address and the promotion was under my email address. I advised the person that I used the instacart link and it makes you fill out its information to include your phone number and should not have been creating a 2nd account, how could that be? I didn't get a reason or an offer to correct it. So I tried to log into instacart using both methods and I could not find but one account under my email. So I think they offer promotions and won't give them out.

I could not find the 2nd account under my phone number so I don't think that was the reason but if in fact, it was...then they have a major software issue that is creating duplicate accounts. I asked that both my accounts be deleted and was assured they were. I don't know that I can depend on that but I wanted others to know this is not right. Duplicate accounts when it makes you put in your phone number yet creates a duplicate account that stores your promotions and doesn't apply them is deceiving aside from having your information elsewhere.

Last year Dec/21st/2021 I apparently set up an account with them. I think but am not sure used a free trial, I did use them twice, once, they forgot my bread, I went on a rant site via Facebook to find it had been delivered to another person who didn't order any bread from them, the second time I ordered eggs along with other items, they put the egg carton to the bottom of the bag and placed the bag on my cement porch, needless to say I had broken eggs. They did refund me the money for each item lost to me, but then I stopped using them due to my orders either being messed up or poor packaging. The other night I found they took over 100 dollars out of my checking account, I asked to be removed from their services and my money refunded to me, they of course had to try to pressure me into staying with all their promo's and perks to the business, I stood firm in what I wanted, they eventually relented and said they would.

I checked my bank statement online later to find they not only didn't refund me they also took an additional payment out. I argued with them again via emails to the point I finally called the dispute office who put me in touch with the fraud department and the fraud department cancelled my visa. To put it bluntly this company is a fraud and will rip people off for their hard earned money. My suggestion: Steer clear and just go in the store and enjoy the atmosphere.

Unfortunately it was someone else's order and was from Food City not Publix. We needed these items for Christmas at our son's house and needed them delivered before the anticipated storm that was to happen overnight in East Tennessee.

I called customer service. After 20 minutes on hold I hung up and contacted them through the chat feature. After a 15 minutes wait and passing me from one agent to the other I was told for safety reasons to throw away the received order or keep it or donate it. We are 70 year old senior citizens and had no room in our freezer, no need for two gallons of milk and lots of other groceries that appeared to have been for a party someone was having. Offered to take to whoever it should have gone to but they refused to allow that to happen.

I asked for them to find our order and deliver it immediately. I was told our shopper could not be located and was not responding. I asked them to have someone reshop our order and deliver. They said that wouldn't be possible. I said how about shopping it while I drive to store and pick it up before they close. Again I was told couldn't happen. They processed a refund supposedly but already have ruined many Christmas plans especially if the weather is as bad as they say it's going to be and we can't get to the store in the morning. They care not. Unfortunately they ruined some other person's plans as well since we received their order. Furthermore their error has caused the destruction of perfectly good food which is a travesty. What a joke of a company. Will use Walmart for grocery pick up in the future.

At 10am I received a text message my shopper was at the store preparing my order then get an update she she checked my groceries out and was on her way. Then I received a message that my order would be delayed 2 hours so I called Kroger at my local store. They told me it has nothing to do with that and that I needed to call Instacart so I called Instacart. They tell me I had to talk to Kroger customer service so I called them only to be redirected back to Instacart and do a three-way phone call time to find out my delivery driver checked my groceries out and then left them at the register saying she had an emergency but didn’t let nobody know.

It took them over three hours to find a new delivery driver and once he was there they refused to release my groceries to him due to the fact that the other driver had already checked them out so in the app it updated it as they have been delivered. Neither of the companies are willing to make this right. Both are putting the blame on each other meanwhile why they are pointing fingers at each other me and my children will be at home with no groceries and no money during a storm that is bringing 50 mph winds -45° wind chill and snow. They credited my Kroger account $15 as if that is supposed to make up for it. I literally spent 4 1/2 hours while at work on the phone trying to get all of this straightened out today.

Me and my kids shouldn’t go without eating just because I can’t hire competent drivers. The second driver bless his heart stayed up there for two hours trying to get this straightened out just to be told that my order could not be released. I don’t know how it works as far as they pay him or not but I would hope they would at least compensate him for being there for so long since he wasn’t able to get the tip from my grocery order since it was already cashed out and I had no money left in my account to even send him anything due to my money being tied up in this order that I never received. They honestly deserve zero stars that I will give them at least one due to the second driver going out of his way trying to help me even though it was a lost cause. He deserves to work for a better company.

First she hit my cart with hers and pinned me between the conveyor belt and my cart while she never stopped speaking Spanish on the phone and unloaded all the groceries from her cart on the belt. I had to shove her stuff back EIGHT times to get the rest of my stuff on the belt while she ignored me because she spoke non-stop Spanish in a manner like she was complaining to a friend.

Then once I moved my cart out of her way so I could get BEHIND my cart to push it, SHE HIT ME WITH HER CART! And acted like she didn't notice when I said WHAT THE HE!! LADY!? How did I know this was Instacart? Well she learned "I Instacart" in English so the cashier knew what to do. Good Job Instacart. Is there a place where I can leave this review for Instacart HR?

I am posting here as well as TrustPilot to try and share my experience and spare others the frustration. We ordered $327 worth of Costco groceries, 25 items, and received someone else’s 4 item order. But the incompetence hasn’t ended there. We asked for a redelivery of the items we DID order, said we did not want a refund (as it would take 5-10 days to process and we needed groceries badly), and they said they would redeliver in 24 hours, and I receive an email confirming I will be contacted re the redelivery in 24 hours. This was the first outright lie.

Later that evening I get an email saying I was instead given a refund. We immediately call their support line and ask them what happened, they make excuses about a mistake or tech issue then promise they can cancel/reverse the refund and reprocess the redelivery as before. This was the second lie. Next day I write in to their chat (as I want written records by this point) and they tell me that I was given a “$10 credit” (this was in fact just the same $10 off $35 order coupon their app gave me when I placed the original order) and they resolved the issue with the refund. I show them screenshots of the email where I was confirmed to be getting a redelivery, they tell me that since the refund was given they have no other options.

I ask why I was told the refund could be cancelled so the redelivery could happen, they say that rep was “mistaken.” I tell them this now will tie up over $600 in my account to reorder, since the refund will take so long to process, and mention how hard that is on us financially after they messed up the original order (and hence why we did NOT ask for a refund in the first place). They try to give me another $10 off coupon (which they again label a “credit” in an attempt to sound generous) and claim I now have “$20 in credit” as their apology. I explain I now have to place 2 orders (my redelivery and a new order) to even use those, and that their app already gave me that promo, and this is a useless gesture. Why would I want to place more orders with them after this experience?? They’re tone deaf. They don’t care and keep referencing a “$20 credit” to show how helpful they are when I can’t even fully use it on the one reorder.

Finally they agree to give me a 1 month free upgrade to Instacart+ to at least save me on the delivery fees with my reorder to correct their mistake. But! I have to wait ANOTHER 24 hours before this will be reflected on my account. I tell them that sucks because if I were to pay for the upgrade it would be immediately available, so what gives? I beg them to expedite the upgrade so I can use it that day, pay them my money again, and just get my groceries (we are COVID quarantined right now so we cannot go shopping ourselves currently and we were in dire need of pantry staples) but I’m told it’s not possible and it will be 24 hours. Lie #3 and we are getting hungrier. Over 24 hours later, next day, my account is still not upgraded. I write in again, I provide all screenshots, they refer to the “generous credits” and literally say they went above and beyond with those, and act like that was the resolution, case closed.

I reiterate I was supposed to get a comped upgrade and now that will take ANOTHER 24 HOURS but the rep is “adding a note to the team” to get this done ASAP. I then ask if that means they are “expediting the upgrade” and the rep says yes. I ask why I was told this was impossible yesterday if they are able to “expedite” it today? They provide a lot of fluff excuses (in horrible grammar that is barely legible sometimes, even when it is clearly a script since different reps will say the same copy/pasted empty platitudes of fake empathy throughout your convo) that answer none of my questions.

I make the rep send me the confirmation about my upgrade via email immediately and ask how I can resolve this if I still don’t have my upgrade in 24 hours (this started on Sunday and it is now Tuesday night). They give me a case # to refer to and ask me to end the chat. Well this was lie #4. I was told in less than 24 hours I’d have my upgrade and I am at 22 hours now and counting since this was promised. I have no faith that I will get any kind of resolution, and this place is an absolute scam these days so I will never use this service again. I have screenshots of every chat conversation in full and I will be very glad to go to court if there is ever a class action lawsuit against this company.

I go back in to schedule the water again and I am getting charged for a delivery fee again $7.99, a Service Fee again $4.00, a heavy order charge again $7.14. I also need to tip the new driver (in all the new price is $52.12- 29.01 credit equalling $23.11) In all for me to get the same 4 cases that I previously paid for I need to pay out of pocket again another $23.11 again for what I already paid for. I am furious.

I called to get it... resolved and was told that their policy will not allow for them to get the water back to me without paying all the extras. I asked to speak with a supervisor and waited for a callback. the supervisor would not budge and gave me the same answer. All in all it doesn't make sense to pay for something one day, not get the items, need to go in and reorder the items and pay AGAIN for what I paid for previously on my credit card. The driver messed up and the customer gets to pay for their mistake? Very wrong model and/or policies. It's terrible, They should be ashamed.

Every time I used this service, every time something was wrong. From different groceries. I am the Amazon prime member since 2006 and if during this entire period of time I had issues, they were ALWAYS! solved via customer service either in chat or on the phone.

On Instacart, if you received an expired product, they refund you to your Instacart account and if you want to use your own money, you have to post a new order same day. So, your refund works only same day. Seriously??? The Instacart looks to me in the way it works like a one, big, legitimate scam. I tried a free membership with Chase credit card - nothing helped to get a better service. I canceled everything with them and will never use it again. Unfortunately, a couple of my favorite groceries that hold a good quality products directly from farmers, are a bit far away to drive. But I better drive than spoil my nerves with Instacart. If you look for the quality service, the only one is Amazon. Amazon Fresh has a not-super-great variety and the prices are little higher, but if you got any expired product or something was missing, you get an immediate refund.

I've shopped through Costco Same-Day Delivery since the pandemic began and it uses the Instacart service for delivery. The shoppers purchase expired/molded food, wrong items, and sometimes replaced item without updating the order, so over the years I've made many complaints for refund or partial refund depending on the issue. Due to their system's standard, I made too many complaints and requests for refund and now puts my account on audit and refuses to make a refund when I make a complaint.

On my recent issues, I'm sending emails to their customer service with photos for proof. My most recent issue is the shopper replaced my item with something else of lesser value, but did not update the system on item purchased. I email customer support with photo and only asked for partial refund of the price difference, but they refuse because I make too many complaints. So they can make mistakes on their end with bad shoppers, yet you bear the cost. I regret renewing my Costco membership because Instacart does not take responsibility for the shoppers' mistakes and puts the stress and cost on the customers.

They can be better if they make shoppers take photo proof of items purchased and items delivered, instead of just a single photo from afar to proof it was delivered to the door (sometimes the wrong door), they won't need us to provide proof and doubt their customer's integrity. Furthermore they have shoppers to make deliveries, but no option to pickup items for return/refund, instead they just refund you the item cost entirely (instacart being lazy), and then doubt your integrity.

The actual receipt from the store was $194.38 and their base charge to me before fees and tips was $208.34 --- a mark up of 9%. Since tips and fees are based on this "total", they are making even more money. I'm not opposed for them making money in the fees department but I am opposed for them marking up the groceries without telling me or hiding it in some fine print. Shame on Instacart.

It is now 10:00 pm and I have still not received my order. The time slot keeps being pushed further and further back. First it was changed to 8:00 pm, then 8:45 pm, then 9:15 pm, then 10:15 pm, then 10:45 pm, then 11:15 pm, then 11:45 pm. And it says my order is still not even being shopped. I have called 6 times, been hung up on once when I asked for a supervisor, and then lied to and told a supervisor would call me back by 8:40 pm and they never did. I then chatted in and the first chat rep canceled my order without my permission and then replaced the order and said they assigned a shopper to it. But as soon as the chat ended, there was no shopper and the delivery time was pushed back even further.

During that chat I was then told that supervisors don’t return calls. Now it is saying my order won’t be delivered until 12:00 am. I then chatted in again to their customer service and had to ask repeatedly for a supervisor before actually being connected to one. At the same time I was waiting on hold again to speak to a supervisor and finally got one who decided to give me a credit for the trouble and inconvenience I have been dealing with, but still said they could not find a shopper after almost 5 hours of my waiting.

I was extremely reluctant to even try this, but after 2.5 years of the pandemic, my wife and I finally both got COVID, despite being totally up to date with our booster vaccinations. So we are isolating for several days and running out of basic groceries. This entire time, we've managed to avoid having groceries picked up by a service and delivered to us. I wanted to keep it that way. I knew exactly why I didn't want to do this, and here is exactly why this service is lame:

We picked the grocery store where we always shop, so that we would be familiar with the staple items we always get and were running out of. But the online platform doesn't have exactly everything, and it seems to route you towards the items that are the worst value - meaning the items with the highest cost per unit. So I am quite sure that they have my normal 1lb container of organic baby spinach, BUT it won't show up on the website, so I picked a 1lb container of organic Spring Mix. Well, guess what?

They did a substitution - My wife was handling the transaction even though I am the one that does all the cooking so I was totally removed from this - They started contacting her to substitute these smaller units which again, are lower "value per unit" items = higher cost for less product. I promised myself I was not going to order any produce, but I got sucked into it because we've been sick for days and needing to eat some nice leafy green veggies. Big mistake - The way they substitute stuff is a total scam. It's like you picked the dumbest person you know and sent them shopping for you, and you picked someone who doesn't like you or care about protecting your dollars, so they are just subbing in all this stupid crap. Completely pissed me off. Never again. Don't waste your money.

Because both my wife and I are mobility impaired and also because of COVID, INSTACART became a necessity but we continually have had bad experiences with its delivery service and have to rely on them for our grocery shopping. Insta Instacart needs to make significant improvements before I would consider recommending it to a friend or even consider continuing to use it once the COVID pandemic is over. WHY? Because INSTACART treats its customers like criminals. At times, shoppers charge me for items that were not delivered or made unauthorized substitutions which I cannot use and have no way of storing so I request a refund. I cannot return them to the store. If I could go to the store to return an item, I wouldn’t need to use Instacart.

Other times, shoppers make mistakes or don’t follow instructions and I lodge a complaint with Instagram. If I don’t complain, then Instacart has no way of knowing how its shoppers are doing and cannot either correct them or fire them. So after about five months, I get this message:

“We work hard to address order issues and want to ensure all of our shoppers and customers comply with our Community Guidelines. Since we received a high number of order issue reports from your Instacart account, we can’t approve your refund, credit, or redelivery request at this time.

To appeal your recent order issue, please email orderappeals@instacart.com, and we’ll be happy to help.

    Best,

    The Instacart Team “

Reading the Community Guidelines, there is nothing in them that gives me a clue as to why I am in violation of any Guideline. When I appeal, I ask what Guideline I am violating. I never get an answer. That is because Instacart cannot cite to me any Guideline I am violating. But what is really galling is that by refusing to reimburse me for the cost of items that I was charged for but never received, Instacart is stealing my money. But Instacart trusts me enough to offer me a Credit Card. I think that is a good idea so Instacart sends me one and I use it. Then in the middle of an order, Instacart tells me I can’t use the Credit Card. That is one hell of a way to treat a customer that does almost $2,000 of business with Instacart each month.

Eventually, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and in response, Instacart refunded our money but it still will not tell us how we violated their Community Guidelines. Moreover, Instacart still refuses to acknowledge any complaint we make, always citing that we violated its Community Guidelines but never telling us how we did so. For example, yesterday we ordered SUGAR-FREE grapefruit cups and specified a refund, if unavailable. we even gave instructions that it had to be SUGAR-FREE. Instead, the Shopper delivered grapefruit in light syrup. We complained but Instacart ignored our complaint saying that we were violating its Community Guidelines.

It far too time-consuming just to place an order. Customers have to go through so much irrelevant items to find what they want. For example, the Search brings up many items that are not relevant to the search. When the customer searches for a specific item, the search results almost always place irrelevant items first. For example, the search is for “No fat cheese.” The result shows seven items that are either low-fat or regular cheese before the first “no fat cheese is displayed. Then the customer gets a ‘People also Purchased” line which does not include any cheeses and appears to end the search but below that are listed many cheeses, none of the “no fat.” This just wastes customers time.

Once the customer has completed the order, the customer must go through each item in the shopping cart to ensure that the Instacart shopper (hereinafter “shopper”) knows whether or not to make substitutions for items that are not in stock, and if so, the appropriate substitution. What makes it tedious is that the shopping cart list does not stay open once the customer has made a choice. In other words, the customer must open up the shopping list for each item and scroll down to it.

Then when the customer clicks on “Edit Instructions” all too often, it does not open but when it does open, frequently instead of seeing “Your preferences” and “Special instructions”, the customer will see a line of “Picked for you” and “Related Items” (which are not in any way related) so that the customer thinks that they are not allowed to make an alternate selection or enter any special instructions. Your preferences and Special instructions should always be at the top of the page rather than at the bottom.

In many cases, the buyer has previously stated either “Refund” or selected a substitute and that information is retained by Instacart so that the next time, the Buyer selects that item for a new shopping list, that information is already included. The problem is all too often, it is not. Then there are those annoying liquor ads that pop up while you are shopping and what you must wade through.

Additionally, if the program has chosen a replacement item in case the selected item is not in stock, and the customer wants to explore other possible items, if the customer clicks on “Other options...” the customer will see a list of other items but the item that the program originally selected as a possible substitution will not be listed, thus depriving the customer of the option of selecting that item if the customer does not find any of the items listed as a better choice.

Another beef I have to pick with Instacart is that it does not allow customers to choose which branch store the customer prefers to use. There are four branch grocery markets within a mile of my house, three of which are five minutes away. I know what items each market carries and some of these items are not carried in other branch markets.

Usually, the shopper does not shop in two of my local markets (the other two are the only branch markets within ten miles) and therefore I am deprived of some items I would normally be able to purchase. I asked an Instacart customer service rep about this and I was given the song and dance that the grocery chains choose which stores can participate, but when I checked with Ralphs and Vons, I was told that was not the case and that the shoppers can shop at any branch market they want to. Therefore, it would behoove Instacart to allow customers to choose the branch market they want the shopping to be done.

Shoppers all too often do not read the instructions given to them by the customers both as to individual items or for delivery. And it takes forever to check out. As soon as the Buyer starts to check out, up pops a page listing all kinds of items, and the Buyer is asked if they want to add to the Shopping Cart. This happens over and over during the Checkout process lengthening the time taken to check out. Far too many pages appear before the Buyer can finally check out and see the order.

On the plus side, Instacart gives us a wide variety of stores to shop in although it also lists stores that do not service your area. But Instacart brags about how much time I save is a joke. With a few exceptions, I could go to a store, do my shopping, and come home and put the groceries away in less time than it takes to place an order on Instacart. One of the problems with having Instacart do your shopping is that the stores often list items as available and it turns out, that by the time your shopper does the shopping, the items you ordered are no longer available.

Every time I have attempted to actually complete an order, the delivery person has disappeared and the order is mysteriously cancelled without cause. Each time, I have attempted to contact Instacart via telephone, but their representatives claim they are unable to see any conversations between consumers and drivers or delivery instructions. No matter what, you are at the mercy of WHATEVER the driver decides to deliver, WHENEVER they decide to deliver, IF they deliver your order at all! To add insult to injury, Instacart will word their responses to you in passive voice as if THEY are not responsible for the failure in delivery.

Save your money and your time. They are not trustworthy, billing you on a recurring basis without a reminder/announcement and refusing to refund you for errors on their behalf. They are unethical and a substantial number of their drivers appear to be as well, based on my personal experience. Specifically, I requested once they do NOT leave my groceries at the door and they did. When I opted to leave the groceries at the door, they actually never came and apparently took my entire $300 order home! I make a daily smoothie so order every frozen fruit/veg I can-at first, they would just give me a refund but after a certain amount of those-they just STOP and say, "NO MORE-you have to write to ORDER APPEALS"-that is a joke-I do what they tell me and then get another e-mail saying, "PLEASE GIVE US THE ORDER AND A PICTURE OF THE PROBLEM"-I ALREADY DID.

I 'NOW' place EVERY ORDER 'PRIORITY' to 'try' to get it here faster and most times when it doesn't get here in the time promised-they don't even 'bother' to give back the priority fee-they USED TO. Once again today, October 7, 2022 I ordered 7 items from Costco. That's right: ONLY SEVEN. YET, this ** moron managed to deliver the order with one "IN STOCK" item at Costco, MISSING. Now most of us know a 10-11 year old (maybe younger) can easily find all 7 of my ordered items in a store like Costco. In fact, trained monkeys could do the same (no offense to monkeys.) But this guy didn't find my Pizzas that were on sale and which Costco says "MANY in stock." TO make matters worse I actually sent a chat message to this guy asking "Hoping you found all my items" to which he replied "Yes Sir". This is before he had left store. I am closing my account and doing what I have done for 40 years -> going into the store and shopping myself.

What service does Instacart provide if they apparently hire bottom-of-the-barrel people who cannot perform their job like a trained monkey or a child could easily do?! A: NO SERVICE! HOW HARD can it be to shop in a store and buy things?! Yet these shoppers somehow continue to make inexcusable mistakes (as I have experienced several times; AND judging for many reviews here and elsewhere: many other customers have experienced!). First let me start by saying I love 99.5% of my Instacart shoppers. I've never had a problem with their customer service until today. I inquired to Instacart customer service about my delivery because it hadn't arrived in the delivery window. It was the customer service rep who then told me the shopper had a small incident. I ask what type of incident, she stated the shopper was ill. I questioned her - you are having an "ill shopper" shop for me? She immediately changed it to "oh she fell down and had to tend to her cuts". I then asked if my groceries were kept cold while she was tending to her cuts. Customer Service replied with "yes". I said, are you absolutely sure? She came back with, "Well "no" I don't know for sure."

When my shopper finally does arrive (over an hour later than expected) she delivered groceries from Aldi not Target where I had ordered them from. She dropped off a totally different order. Customer service would not put the order back in the queue for delivery today. It would be 48 hours for re-delivery. I opted for a refund. This one incident made me lose total faith in Instacart's customer service. (I've been an Instacart customer since 2017). I did speak with another customer service agent who kindly refunded my money (oh my refund, will take 5-10 days though). If I wanted them to redeliver groceries - 48 hours. But I have reached my limit... Instacart if you see this, you need better Resolution Policy, and better customer service line.

    - Missing items ALL the times, I repeat, missing at least 1 item in EVERY single order, all they can do is refund, and act like I am greedy when I asked for another solution. We don't need the money back, we need our grocery.

    - Customer service is EXTREMELY robotic, they will give you a refund and a half ** apology, they don't care how on earth you will be able to get the missing items on your own, (there are service fees and shipping fees if you place another order for the missing items), the lady in the chat told me that the only solution is ME placing another order after I explained to her multiple times of how that was not fair and impossible (I have no car during the day, and service fee + shipping fee is over $6 each time for me and I only need the 1-2 items that they missed).

    - Lazy shoppers, they will never spend time to ask for your item, though you know the store has it in stock all the times, they would just replace with a half ** one, or refund the money. (Like why did I use the service for you to only buy half of the things I needed for a recipe?)

I put $200 in credits because I've never been fazed by any service before, and I trusted them. They couldn't be that bad right? That was what I thought. Worst decision of my life!

They replied "It would be a great adventure." If these two. Threw an order @ a angry person. Bad idea. Shoppers mixing Bleach in with food items. The personal shopper claimed that he did not bag the grocery. I had to explain to him that you don't place chemicals with food items. Don't place meat with other items. Shoppers that stop and visit with people while it's hot outside. When having cold items. Your mistake. Not mine.

I will say I have had quite a few excellent shoppers. Not anymore. Their prices are too high. Compared to in store prices. Believe me I can do the math. They jack the prices up. Example. Order total: 125.50 Service fee, Heavy fee, Bag fee, Tip fee. After all of these extra fees they add on. In reality you would pay around 65 to 70 dollars in store. I will never use Instacart again. Let add this. They do a temporary hold that's higher. Than the original amount of the order. Hoping that you will let the shopper replace items that are out of stock. To be on the safe side. Place in the instructions. Which they rarely READ. Type in No replacement. They can't even read letter or know what numbers are. So long. I would not recommend unless you want the Asian company to push the American's button. They rant. Never.

After all that they cancel the batch then don’t want to pay you for the trip or your time. The only options is to contact customer care virtually following 5 prompts before you chat with agent. CUSTOMER CARE ONLY CATER TO CUSTOMERS NOT SHOPPERS!! They don’t care about shoppers! YOU WORK POINT YOUR CAR, SPEND HOURS SHOPPING, NO PAY AND THEY DON’T CARE. I asked them to close my account, mail paper check. They said only direct deposit. They honestly caused me a great deal of stress and inconvenienced mean! No courtesy, no sympathy or respect no matter how hard you work!!

They are like a cult. Not 1 person in chat cared that I really needed my money. That was very hurtful!! They also send you more miles than listed to store and customer. They sent me on an $8 trip almost 20 miles total! The labor board need to look into this because I’m sure I’m not the only one experiencing this. I need my money. No gas in my car right now. I’m very upset. They got their pay. Mine is held up. Don’t know for how long or to what account.
