She spoke Spanish the entire time. Unless she was speaking to me. Which was three times. Go sit over there, what would I like and here is your check my coffee refilled by another wait person, who also rang up my order. Too rude. When I said something about writing on a blog she tried to keep my receipt. She was ready to walk away with it. I had to tell her to give it to me. So anyone wanting to visit Denny's on Stark St. in Portland , OR. Beware. It is now a Mexican restaurant .

The Denny’s on Northdale Blvd in Coon Rapids, MN is the worst Denny’s I have ever visited. This Denny’s is closest to my home so I have given it so many chances for an improvement in service and it just doesn’t happen. On National Pancake Day I received a msg from the rewards program reminding me of the day with a reminder they had pancakes for $4 (on value menu). At the Denny’s I asked a waitress about the pancakes for $4 but before I could finish my sentence I was told “we don’t have pancake offers for National Pancake day - we don’t do that here”. Cut off in mid sentence! When I finally found it in the ‘Value Menu’ after searching the web to get the info whether the $4 pancakes were available which they were - I ordered.
I shouldn’t have had to search the web to figure out it was in the ‘Value Menu’ when I had a waitress and asked specifically about $4 pancakes even before getting a menu from her with no mention of the other ‘Value Menu’ tucked behind things on the table. Instead she told me that Denny’s didn’t have pancakes for $4 even after I showed her the text on my phone from Denny’s. When I asked her why she gave me that incorrect info even after I stated the ‘rewards program’ sent me a text about $4 pancakes here. Before leaving after getting the check I asked her why she told me the pancakes weren’t available and her reply was “she thought I was going to ask about free pancakes.” Really! You get free from $4!?! Believe me when I say this is one of many instances at this Denny’s on Northdale Blvd. Drive a little further and just go straight to the Denny’s in Northtown. Save yourself the frustration in advance.

I had just gotten off my shift at five in the morning on Black Friday. The wait time is usually long but I don’t mind waiting for fifteen minutes for my food as long as it’s fresh. Service was okay but could’ve been better. It was nothing too bad at first. At the end I had decided to pay my bill ($10.50) with a 20 dollar bill and told her to round it up for a 20% tip. Cashier said she couldn’t do math so she said she was going to give me the “exact change”. She then proceeded to hand me eight and a half dollars back. When I say say half I literally mean that she gave me a half of a one dollar bill. Then she had the audacity to walk away from the registers and play it off. Worst customer service ever. I am never going back and I DEFINITELY would NOT recommend.

After waiting 25 minutes for a table for 5 and 10 minutes for the server to ask for our orders after we were seated, my sons were given watered down iced tea and sprite. Our food, veggie omelette, ultimate omelette and skillet did not have fajita mix. Hence, the food was tasteless. The veggie omelette did not have tomatoes too. I informed the manager on duty, Jessica **. No empathy, no apology. The long wait was not due to the restaurant being full, but due to lack of servers on the floor. Will never, ever go back to that Denny’s again.

I was extremely disappointed in my experience for the second time at Denny's on Newtown. The first time I was there in person to pick up an order that I called in and it wasn't correct. Someone had to go and get the broccoli that I had order so my wait was another 10 minutes for that. Tonight I used door dash for my order. Not only did they forget to give the driver my full order and receipt, but I now have to wait until tomorrow to get a call back from management for a refund instead of me receiving what I had a TASTE for TONIGHT! I WILL NOT be returning to Denny's. The service is a 1 out of 10 and is so disorganized. Really disappointed in Denny's customer service.

I ordered online. Got there 5 minutes late. Order sitting on counter but told my order was not ready. 5 minutes after that she picks up the bag and brings it over. I said, "So it has been sitting there the entire time?" She said they were getting some of it ready. NOBODY TOUCHED THAT BAG THE ENTIRE TIME UNTIL SHE PICKS IT UP TO BRING IT OVER.
I took it to my car and checked the bag. The top of the food tray was not on the thing. No syrup or topping for the pancakes. I took it back in and asked for a refund. I was ignored and finally someone said that they would get the manager but nobody is moving. I got tired of waiting and told them to keep it. I was going to be late for work. I called back and was told I cannot get a refund from them. Could not figure out how to request one online so filing a dispute with the credit card company.
I AM SO SICK OF PAYING MORE THAN I SHOULD FOR ** SERVICE AND FOOD. The employees will stand there with grins on their faces because they think it is funny. I now get to work until midnight to eat when I have not eaten since midnight last night. I do not get a long enough break to go anywhere and there is nothing here that I can get. Customers Beware!!! August 2019. Denny’s Restaurant # 7471 located at 9046 Loop Road East in Lebec, California, at the bottom of the Grapevine on CA Route 5 heading north towards Bakersfield. This is the perfect place for vehicle break-ins. We stopped for breakfast at 9 am and our truck window was shattered by thieves, and all of our belongings were stolen. It happened in less than 2 minutes. The restaurant personnel know about all of the break-ins and so does the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. There were 3 break-ins the day before we visited, and it is a constant problem at this restaurant.
Nothing is being done to stop this illegal activity: no signs warning customers, no security at the restaurant, no patrols by the Sheriff’s department, and there are big posters advertising the food specials covering the windows so customers can’t see the parking lot. We were told that nicer vehicles are being targeted and vehicles with out-of-state license plates, but other vehicles are targeted also. I am writing this to warn people, so no one has to go through what we went through while travelling.

I originally placed an order online. For unknown reason, I received an email that the order was cancelled. I called and was not given an understanding why it was cancelled, but that I should go back online & reorder. So, I asked if I could reorder while on the phone. She told me she could not accept order for delivery over the phone. So, we hung up.
I called back to place an order for pick up instead of delivery. At the end of ordering, I offered to pay while on phone, this second representative explained she cannot accept payment on phone, must pay when picked up. My pick up person didn’t have the funds on their person & was too far from me to come get my card then go pick up meals. So, I decided to call back to cancel the order.
On this third & final call, I politely told the gentleman that answered the call that I am cancelling my order. He responded in an aggressive, rude, unprofessional manner. He said: “It’s too late to cancel, it’s already placed, I heard my employee tell you that you have to pay when you pick up. You agreed to pay.” I tried to explain to him the situation that my nephew was already near the Restaurant, but did not have the money, and I was in a town not too close. However, the representative continued to insist, telling me that I should tell my nephew to come to me & get my card. I asked him why is he arguing with me, when I thought I was being considerate enough to call and let Denny’s know I was not going to pick up the order.... He ended the conversation by saying: ”That’s why you can not help people.” He then hung up on me.

Sunday July 7 we stopped at this Denny's for breakfast. it was obvious from the number of dirty tables there wasn't enough help. Shortly after being seated the waitress brought food to the table across from us. The customer complained that the eggs were not cooked the way she requested. This was her second attempt to get well done eggs. The waitress took the eggs back to the kitchen and spoke to the cook.
Unfortunately the entire conversation/argument was heard by everyone in the restaurant. The customer was so embarrassed by the loud argument they walked out. I am not sure if the cook walked out but no food came out of the kitchen for the next 1/2 hour and arriving customers were told the would be a 30 to 45 wait delay even though the restaurant was 1/2 empty. Our food finally arrived cold and terrible. I ordered your signature vanilla creme crepes. there was no vanilla creme only cold strawberry juice poured over the crepes. My girlfriend's egg breakfast was not done as ordered. Denny's is off our list for future business. John.

What happened to Denny's customer service? My father and I went to the Murphy, Texas location on 05.19.19, around 11:45 a.m., and we were told we would have to wait 45 minutes, and we waited longer while other people that came in after us were being seated. Then my father spoke and found out that his name was never written down, yet the woman stated she did not know why his name was crossed out by her manager, and then proceeded to help others. When I saw the woman, I stated I want a reason why my father's name was not written in the book, and she stated the same thing she told my father and started helping other people. We left. I did tell her tactfully she was being rude, and we are going to Starwood Cafe in Murphy.
My father and I were not pleased by the lack of customer service...the last time he was there the manager had placed his military I.D. and waved it by the security cameras, while we all looked; I was appalled. She stated there has been robberies, and she needs to make sure the cards she receives are valid. This is first I have ever witnessed a display of poor customer service especially to a veteran.

The manager of the Denny's at 161 Telegraph Rd. Bellingham, WA 98226 is very obnoxious. My entire family lives in the Minneapolis, MN area and so only Peggy and I could celebrate my birthday. My family sent us a birthday gift card to Denny's--knowing that I am a regular customer of the Bellingham Denny's. Unfortunately, this "manager-from-hell" ruined our birthday celebration. The servers know me and my regular or standard "build-your-own slam order--2 eggs, red potatoes, and 2 orders of mash potatoes with brown gravy." The server took my order--as usual.
Unfortunately, she came back to apologetically state that the manager reprimanded her for allowing me to choose mash potatoes. The server told us that the manager ordered her not to allow mash potatoes as a choice. Instead, the manager ordered her to charge me extra for the non-standard order of mash potatoes (additional $1.29 each). The server acknowledged that this manager is a bully to the servers. Then when we went to pay with our gift card and with our AARP card. The server again returned to apologetically say that the manager determined that this AARP card was not legitimate. The manager claimed that a "real" AARP card is different than the AARP card we submitted. The manager insisted that a legitimate card has a barcode on it for scanning. The manager told the server that our AARP card was a "teaser" card that is mailed out to potential members.
The manager said that all credit card companies sent out teaser cards hoping that the recipients will then choose to apply for a 'real' card. Now I am turning 75 years old on 11 May and Peggy and I have been using our AARP cards since each of us turned 50 years old. We were insulted by the manager believing that we were defrauding Denny's by using a "fake" AARP card. Now instead of thanking my family for their kindness in providing a Denny's gift card--we now have to inform them our our terrible birthday experience at Denny's. My family will all be boycotting Denny's in the future. Why do you have a manager who bullies the servers and insults the customers?

Recently Denny’s has been advertising that they have crepes so I decided to try them even though I make delicious crepes at home and have had them many times in French restaurants. The only resemblance between what they brought me and crepes is the fact that they both are round and thin. I think they used pancake batter and spread it extremely thin to make a very crispy slightly burned attempt at making a crepe then put something resembling very sweet whipped cream which had melted down and smeared on it. It was very sweet and crispy like potato chips. They did not charge me for it, but I would much rather they had served me real crepes and charged whatever price they wanted. When I was paying my check I noticed a picture of a crepe stuffed with strawberries on a sign so I told my waitress to go get the chef and show him how a crepe is supposed to look. He obviously has never seen or eaten a crepe in his life.
The service was excellent. The manager came over to help the waitress find a suitable seat for me because I am on an electric mobility large scooter. The waitress was perfect. She was very attentive and polite and efficient. She never asked me if I wanted to have the crepe removed from my bill so I was surprised when it did not appear on the bill. I was glad not to have to pay for such a disappointment but that wasn’t why I complained about it. I just want them to learn how to make good crepes because I live about 2 minutes by scooter from their Denny’s and would go there often for good crepes. The coffee was fine. This Denny’s was on Plaza Drive in Hopewell, VA 23860, in the Food Lion Shopping Center parking lot, and the sign indicated it was an individual franchised store. Janet **.

It seems they take for granted being employed and keeping customers satisfied is the best thing for a business.

I did not remember mushrooms being a part of the dish, but thought that it was just my bad recollection. I smelled the food before taking a bite to make sure there was no bad smell to it and then put a fork full of egg and mud into my mouth.
The waitress was standing right there to make sure she saw me eat the mud. Her expression was pure exhilaration when I almost vomited right there on the table. I ran to the bathroom, and when I came out, my plate was gone, and a very happy waitress with a very big smile on her face told me that a manager is taking care of this incident in the back. The price of their food, run-of-the-mill food, has skyrocketed! I just wanted a hamburger. One burger that is not cooked to order, being that they do not ask how you want the meat cooked, was just under 11.00 dollars. I tried to get a "new" featured burger, which in the picture on the menu showed bacon cheddar tots. Well, the joke's on you should you order it as the picture depicts. It is an upcharge for these 6 tiny bacon cheddar tots. Even more irksome, was when the order was placed, the server did not care to let me know about such an upcharge. I requested that the burger not have caramelized onions, tomatoes, or pickles, but suffice it to say, this did not decrease the cost of the burger.
The server and the cook did do the order as requested, however I ate the entirety of the meal, but was not asked whether or not I was enjoying it while eating it. I received the receipt, then found the aforementioned upcharge on the meal. I said this wasn't right and felt as though such dishonesty is the same as stealing. The server shrugged and apologized. This did not mitigate the price listed on the bill. After taxes, it was over 12.00 U.S dollars. I decided to decline leaving a tip. This is very atypical for me, however, with the rumored raises serving staff has gotten, not by my choice, I no longer feel it prudent to add to it with a tip. Particularly after this kind of service was given. If a large company like this chose to grant such raises, should the consumer be picking up the tab with overpriced menu items? This of course is a rhetorical question.

But the good news the food was great. But next I just going to see if Amber or Hannah I think the second girl name is at works. Becasue our family wouldn't of been treating like this at all. But anyway food was awesome but need to work our y'all waiters' skills. Thanks.

Don't ever go to the Denny's on Zaragoza in the Plaza de Flores. We usually go there once a week and have tremendous service, but this time we went to really horrible service from the waiter and the manager. The waiter never refilled our drinks until we had to ask him, he kept telling us that we couldn't do certain things to our order because he wasn't allowed, and he overcharged us on drinks. We go to check out and the manager tells us that we don't qualify for the kids eat free that are from 4 to 10 when I tried to explain it to her that we order the same thing weekly and never had this problem. Her response was, "It isn't my fault that the other managers don't do their job right." Ordered from breakfast menu on a Friday night. Picked it up 15 minutes later and was suddenly not hungry anymore. The food was drenched in grease and way undercooked. I ordered the Moons Over My Hammy and the ham wasn’t even ham, it was some kind of nasty lunch meat. It was ice cold and very much a waste of $. I will never go to Denny’s ever again, ever. The toast wasn’t even toasted, it was just soggy bread. Gross! Glad I wasn’t really hungry, I’d probably be throwing up if I ate more than 1 night.

Only the Free Pancake (T-Mobile Tuesday Free Dulce De Leche Crunch Pancakes) is enticing, but the way in which it is dispersed is murky. Out of 6 times I claimed, three times I have been charged $7.32. It is because the person who is tempted by this offer has to compulsorily give the credit card number. The entering of the promo code is also tricky. Even though you read your bill as zero dollars, you are not sure, it will be honored. I have regularly gone to Denny's and used the paid services at several occasions. But this type squeezing money out of deal is not ethical in any way. I am now hesitant to claim the one in this week. I have even contested the billing on FEB 25th 2018 at Buena Park Orange Thorpe/Beach Blvd and yet to receive a reply. The other two which are billed to my card were on 2/11/2018 for two of my claims. One from my phone and one from my spouse's phone. I am planning to take this to BBB if needed.

No whipped topping, cinnamon clearly on in the center of the pancakes and the rest is plain. Total joke. The restaurant should be ashamed to be so deceiving. I've always disliked Denny's and never eat there and this experience definitely seals that. Thankfully T-Mobile paid for this. Very disappointed!

My wife and I went to Denny’s in Great Falls MT near airport. We noticed it was busy and expected a wait of 20 minutes or so. After 10 minutes went by, no one was up front and noticed the manager looked our direction several times. 10 more minutes went by and the manager finally sorted out the waiting to pay and seating for new customers. That wasn't too bad. We were seated and order taken by Adelle. I asked for coffee, black and 2 waters. She brought them out promptly. The coffee cup came out sticky all over the handle and appeared as coffee had been spilled down the entire front face. Using some water and a napkin, the coffee cleaned off easily.
My order was supposed to be a country fried steak and eggs, no hash browns with 1 biscuit, gravy and wheat toast. My order showed up with the steak knife having one quarter of the handle coated with a pink gooey substance. I wiped it off with my napkin, but was like wiping off thick syrup. The biscuit was a half cooked very doughy consistency. I noted upon paying that the wait staff gets the utensils such as steak knives from a container of other steak knives. Judge for yourself the level of very poor pride in management, wait staff and cutting too many corners that can easily cause health risks to the public. To add to this, all the comments from waiting customers about they should walk out without paying for having to wait forever to pay.

He screamed that the customers called back and complained that she was awful and wouldn't give them a free refill on a cappuccino. She explained that these were old high school classmates that she had not gotten along with in school and they had it out for her. I watched her with everyone while there and she was awesome.
She was in tears saying she went out of her way to be courteous but the manager just yelled and threatened to fire her in front of the entire store. He called her names. We always visit our local Denny's, generally we have a great experience... Today not so much. I called my family in an order to-go, which is NEVER an issue, and I was placed on a type of hold for 5 minutes, they just put the phone down and never picked it back up. So I hung up and called back, to which I was greeted yet again and put on the same hold. Someone picked up the phone after two minutes and had no idea that I was even on the line or wanting to place a to-go order.
So I begin with my order, (which is a large order due to a seven member family) which isn't complicated, we order it how it's served. The female taking my order was very hard to understand on the phone because she kept mumbling, and had absolutely no knowledge of the menu or the computer system they use. Maybe she's new, right?! I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. So finally after 10 minutes my order is placed, she mumbled a total, said 15 minutes and hung up.
When I arrived to pick up my order, I waited 10 minutes, which wasn't a big deal because they were busy. I understand that. I've worked food service. Then, the same girl who took my order brought it to me. I checked it, which I always do because like I said we have a big order, and half my order was wrong or missing toppings. So I waited another 10 minutes for them to finally get everything right, and the girl is rude to me when it comes time to pay for my food. She made a snide remark about calling in a large order, all the while I notice that she is a manager! How could they let a team member, let alone a manager act this way towards customers? I mean we spent nearly $60.00! I was extremely unsatisfied with our experience and plan to meet with the general manager regarding these issues. Please just be aware.

I went into Denny's restaurant on 5/13/2017 at 12ish am and the long was long. It was somewhat a little crowded. There were a few empty tables but that weren't filled until the name of the party's waiting. Before you can eat you had to wait till others got up and was done eating. Before you can be next now here's the things. I've and others were waiting an hr. I am disabled but me and my family waited like everyone else and my feet were aching. Now she called the party in front of me that was next. They got a table and sat down. I was next after long wait. Me and my family. Here's the thing. The worker her name was Stacey. She was a very disgraceful manager. Very rude and unprofessional and unkind.
Now there were other working servers too but a Latino person came in and ask, "Is this the line?" I said, "Yes. I said, "Excuse me, excuse" and she got very smart and said, "I helping him. You have to wait." I said, "What do I mean? He skip me." I said, "You don't have to get rude with me. Tone your attention down with me."
People were looking in the restaurant as she was wrong and making a scene of me being **. She said, "I don't have to serve you." I said, "I did nothing wrong". She didn't served me. I said, "I want to speak to your manager to file complaint for discrimination against me and my family. She, "I am the manager" and smirked with a funny laugh. I got upset. I said, "You're rude, wrong and I am filing a complaint on you for poor service." She said again still in smart way, "There's not one here but me am the manager." I said, "No there is a corporate ahead of you and a supervisor before you" and she humped her shoulder. Slick mouth, graspy attitude and she didn't served me. I told how she were and the truth about herself. She didn't like I said. I can eat anywhere with my funds.
She said, "Well I am not taking your order." I was very upset and I told Stacey this discrimination manager her name on South 27th St. Denny's restaurant Milwaukee I Wisconsin. I will go ahead of her and speak to the right person for a complaint on her. She argued with me. Went to Denny's in Wauwatosa, WI on a Sunday afternoon. There were barely any customers. Our food arrived pretty quickly but the eggs were not fully cooked so my friend waited for the waiter to come back and asked for his eggs to be cooked. There was no pepper or salt on our table so my friend got us some from the next table over (since it was empty like most of the place). Waiters never came back to our table. When we were almost finished eating, he notices the waiter coming over with his eggs. His plate is empty and he says "What am I gonna eat them with now?" The waiter doesn't offer a suggestion or apology so I give him my last triangle of toast. We stay in the restaurant just talking for about an hour after we are done eating. About an hour after that I get really sick to my stomach. That same afternoon he gets sick to his stomach. We have the same symptoms and go into the next day still sick.
Fast forward a month later. On a Friday night, I decide to give Denny's another try. Maybe the first time was just a bad day. We walk into the same Denny's and a young lady seats us in a booth where there are people in the booth on either side of us. The rest of the place is empty. It's like a ghost town. You could hear a pin drop. You can also hear the cook making food although I don't smell food which is odd to me. The young lady tells us she just started working here so we give her a pass on everything else that happened that night. First she asks me if I want toast.
I say "Yes, wheat please." She says "I don't know if we have wheat." I inform her that most places have at least white or wheat and I prefer wheat. She says ok. Then she turns to my friend and asks for his order. He orders a burger and as he is ordering the person who is training her comes over with his notepad. My friend very specifically and with great enthusiasm explains that he does not want a pickle on his sandwich, he is allergic to pickles. He says he doesn't even want them on the plate. That's all, everything else is fine. Just no pickles. Both waiters write it down and walk away. Again, I can hear the griddle noises in the kitchen and we can see the cook working away. All of the waitstaff are young adults or old teenagers, only the manager is an older man. He is busy barking out orders, (not food orders, work orders).
The booth we are seated has 2 placemats but only 1 set of silverware. When the waitress brings our food I ask for silverware. She says ok, and then she tells me my WHITE bread will be up soon. She brings me the silverware and my friend has to go to the next table to get pepper and jelly because like last time, our table doesn't have these things. As I start to eat my lukewarm breakfast food I notice the look on my friend's face. Imagine his surprise to find a pickle in his sandwich. He was not amused. He finishes his fries and I'm just slowly eating my food. He calls the waiter over and the waiter looks at him and then walks away. After about 5 seconds he decides to come over. My friend says "She hasn't gotten her toast." The waiter says "Oh, yeah, we are waiting for him to make it."
Now... I'm no rocket scientist but I have made toast before and it either requires a machine that you put the bread into and after it cooks the bread pops out or you put the bread on the grill until it looks like it got a tan... unless of course you are actually kneading the dough and making fresh bread... I doubt it. So now we have been sitting here for a good while and finally the waiter comes over with my WHITE bread and kinda drops the plate on our table and walks away. I pick up the top slice and it's not hot or even warm. It does have butter on it but the bottom slice does not. If this just came out of the toaster, shouldn't it be slightly warm? It's not, in fact none of my food was hot.
The manager sees us staring at him while we eat but he never stops over to see how it's going. He only has 3 tables to talk to in the entire restaurant but he doesn't feel the need to check on his paying customers. The only thing we got quickly was the bill. The waiter didn't look at us, he just dropped it on the table. My friend is reluctant to leave a tip because the male waiter's name was on the bill. If it had been the young lady's name, he would've had no problem leaving a tip because she is still in the learning phase. We take the bill up to the register where the manager is. The manager asks how was everything, my friend says... it was just ok... I say nothing and walk out.
On our way out of the place one of the workers is standing right outside the front door, smoking. So not only did we get bad service inside, we get to walk thru a puff of smoke on the outside. Needless to say, I thought it was just me being picky but after seeing sooo many reviews with a 1 star rating and about customer service, I was convinced I needed to write this review. After the first experience with one friend and now this experience with another friend, we have nicknamed the place Renny's (because Runny's was too specific). Unfortunately, 1st and 2nd impressions were pretty consistent.

My name is Mary ** a very Proud New Member of AARP. On March 19th 2017 between the hours of 11a-12p I went to Denny's on 43rd Ave & Peoria in Glendale, AZ to utilize my New AARP CARD. As soon as I walked through the door, there was a podium with a sign posted on it that stated (Please wait to be seated). I stood right there in front of the sign, waiting to be seated (the only person in line). While I was standing there waiting, a ** Couple came in the Door and immediately upon entering the Restaurant, the Hostess/Manager looked around me and asked the couple how may he help them. At that point I spoke up and asked the Hostess/Manager, "What about me?" Hostess/Manager Replied: "Oh, Ok, what can I do for you?" Me: "You can stop being Racist. I understand that in a small town like this it's hard to find good help BUT PLEASE train them to be professional. If we are given a certain amount of time that the order will be ready, HAVE IT READY!! I have been in your restaurant when people have walked out because of quality of service and the wait period. I'm hoping this matter will get resolved one way or another. Oh this happened in Pecos, Texas. Thank you.

My experience at Denny's city of commerce - there was a young woman at the cashier. She didn't speak English at all and it is hard to communicate with someone does not speak English. They need someone to speak English and Spanish because the cashier did not understand me. I wanted to split the bill with my mother and I told her to split the bill and she didn't understand me and cashier added it up all together on one bill receipt for our meal on my mother credit card.

The Denny's in Moses Lake, WA is a complete joke. The morning cook is James, wears a name tag that says Mickey. From the day the Denny's opened in 2016, he has constantly discriminated. I have complained at least 100 times to management, and corporate and nothing is done about it. Monday, January 2, 2017 the cook proceeded to refer to me as the **, and do the same things to trigger my PTSD. I left without incident after paying. When I returned 2 days later, I was informed that my fiance and I are kicked out because we complained. My hopes are that they have a different outlook after my attorney has spoke with them.

The girl at the cash register was very nice, but a second after I took out my credit card I handed her my A.A.R.P. card for the discount... "Oops I don't know what to do because I just pushed the card through, sorry." she said, and I asked for the manager. So the girl didn't know what to do, and then the manager said there was nothing he could do. Well he could have reversed the charge, and then given me the discount. He could have done something about it, he just didn't care to do his job. Also my bacon that is ordered to be crisp, should not come to the customer like it was boiled.
Yes, this is the first time I’ve been here in over twenty years, because when I went on vacation years ago with my entire family, we gave our order to the waiter and I asked the him to hold off putting it in for about three minutes until the prices dropped for the morning specials. Well, he put the order in immediately, and I was charged quite a bit more for their lack of consideration.

I would not recommend the Denny's in Traverse City as it stands. They served me raw pancakes for breakfast. I didn't realize it until it was later in eating them because they had a pumpkin cream cheese filling. I complained about the pancakes. The waitress did offer something else, but I really didn't trust them at that point. They then argued with me defending the fact that they were raw, and that people sometimes like them that way. One person at the desk said that I should give them another chance because she would do that. Oh really? Unfortunately first impressions are lasting with a brand new business, as they opened a week prior. So they gave me 15 percent off my bill. That was an insult as far as I am concerned. I asked to speak with the manager while all of these conversations are going on at the desk about the pancakes.
The staff said she could not come out because she was busy counting money and could not be disturbed. She later did call me and hung up without leaving a message. I wasn't sure who was calling but called the number back and discovered it was Denny's. I tried calling her with the staff redirecting my call so she would answer it. She did not want to be bothered and outright lied on the phone. There was no argument, or much if an exchange, but she stated that they gave me 15 percent off so that should win me back. I said it didn't. She said she would call me back so she could take my address down and send me a coupon for a entree. She never called and her tone gave her away in that she had no intention of doing anything.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Their manner of handling a complaint was beyond poor. Their staff arguing with the customer after they made a mistake added to the problem. Their manager who apparently does not want to deal with problems compounded all of this. In the past I ate at Denny's in Grand Rapids MI and didn't care for their food. This confirms what I thought of before: don't waste your money there. There are plenty of other places to eat out at in Traverse City.

So surprised to read so many negative reviews of Denny's. Both locations, at least here in Flagstaff, are terrific. The food is fresh, tasty and affordable and does not have that "pre-made and shipped-in" aftertaste. The full plate-banana split is decadently delicious and their 2-4-6 menu (especially the Biscuits and Gravy), at times, is "just enough." From what I've seen, Denny's is striving to do everything as right as possible; but, I understand that there are locations with poor management that might not 'meet the bar.' But if you're in Flagstaff or Camp Verde, you won't be disappointed.

I gave Denny's way too many chances. management gave me a $10 gift card one time so I gave them a few more chances... but NO MORE!! If their staff at my location (Roanoke, VA) doesn't want to seat customers and wait on them, I suggest Denny's considers shutting down. This is the closest Denny's to my location. Several times over past month I have attempted to dine there but am ignored, never seated and thus leave without being seated. Yet, staff there has full view of customers waiting to be seated. Even at the entrance podium. This facility is a "blister on the ** of profit" perhaps by corporate design as staff there shows little if any interest in serving customers. I have been a regular there for past 5 years, but no more.
In general, Denny's local staff has always demonstrated a negative attitude toward service. But recently, has progressed toward not even seating customers. Apparently hoping we would just go away. So I have on my last few visits in full view of staff watching me walk out the door after waiting 5-11 minutes without being acknowledged I am standing there, politely waiting for a table. No more... Have a nice day. Without me of course. Your wishes are my motivation. Side note: Denny's website will not allow one to complain without a sales receipt (store number needed). Very clever. "Hear no evil" policy. Denny's corporate should be admonished by investors if any out there to resign.

Denny's, 4330 Fox Valley Center Dr Aurora, IL 60504. I have been going to this location for over 10 years. When I think of the ordeals that I have witnessed over those 10 years, I simply feel amazed. I hardly can believe that the restaurant is still open. I imagine that part of the reason must be that the patrons cannot be regulars. Please allow me to explain what prompted this letter. I work and live locally. Being that my job is in an office, we like to go out to lunch. I feel very fortunate that in the Naperville area, there are a plethora of restaurants, diners and fast-food establishments, to choose from. I want to be clear, as a customer, we do actually choose. Unfortunately, I am choosing to no longer to be a Denny's customer. Each time my friend and I choose to go to Denny's, I always leave upset and frustrated.
Our waitresses, they are wonderful, once they actually have time to come to the table to offer a beverage. Efficient, kind and smiling. After we order, I think that perhaps, this time will be different. Then I take a look around and see it is the same old scenario. Dirty dishes on the table, sitting and waiting for our waitress to clear. Listening to the waitress update the other customers that sat down before us, which their order will be out anytime. Overhearing another waitress apologize and make excuses for the kitchen that they are short staffed. Like I said, I was what would be considered a regular so being short staffed in both the kitchen and on the floor is not a bad day, it is a regular day.
My last visit was just yesterday, September 1, 2016. When we walked in, we waited to be seated several minutes. This is unusual since we take our lunch between 11-12 in order to avoid the rush, but no big deal. We waited, and waited. Looking around, I can see that our waitress is training a new waitress. I can also see that there appears to be 3 waitresses, including a trainee, which is servicing 3 different sections. I have never been a waitress, but I knew that we would not make it back to work by noon even though our office is 1.6 miles from your establishment.
When the trainee brought our drinks, a Coke and an iced tea, we were happy. Then we waited and waited. Finally, we place our order, but before doing so, we let the waitress know that we were on our lunch and had to get back. This was after being there for hour. She apologized and mentioned that the manager is helping out as well, and that she would let them know that in the back.
11:45 or so, we get our lunch. At 12:00:18, we paid our bill. We were used to it. Being late whenever we decide to go to Denny's. I have just had enough. Having many years in being a manager, I know why we continue to have the same experience. Short staff and no support for the staff--BAD MANAGEMENT. I don't understand it. Why wouldn't a bus person be hired so 1) the customers would not have to look at a dirty tub of dishes or a mess made at the table, while they are having their meal, and 2) to free up the wonderful waitresses that you have? I don't understand why there would not be one or two more people available to help out when there are trainees or perhaps and especially busy day? Someone to help at the register and while they are waiting on paying customers they could clear dishes? Or how about a dedicated person to scrub that place down. It was just remodeled and it is just filthy.
I used the ladies bathroom while waiting for my lunch, and when I walked into the bathroom, the stale stench of urine just permeated. When I sat back down, I told my friend that this would be the very last time I will ever come here. It is sad, it really is. This location has some really great waitresses and the cooks do a good job as well. However, it is obvious that the management is lacking, and I mean upper management. I imagine that the location manager has been given strict guidelines in terms of over scheduling. That is a mistake. Filthy bathrooms and floors, dirty dishes just sitting on top of tables in the dining room, customers waiting and waiting. It is obvious that Denny's VIPs and Executives do not care. Therefore, I do not care to eat lunch or dinner there ever again.

We were tourist back then, our flight arrived at around midnight (or at least late at night) and we were pretty hungry. For the most part Denny's is still one of the only places you can count on to open 365/24/7, with fair prices for the quality of food. With that being said, and knowing how people think "based off of what I have read", Denny's has unfortunately received bad reviews because most people tend to go the extra effort to complain rather than praise. The right side, as you enter, was full of **.
As each ** entered, they were seated far back in the left side. It was very obvious what was happening. There were tables and booths open on the right side, which was bright and sunny. So, why were the people of color relegated to the left? I do have to say that the food was great, as were the food and service. I have lived in Salt Lake City since 1966 and have eaten at Denny's Restaurants both in Salt Lake and elsewhere hundreds of times. I have often sent employees for takeout orders at your restaurants when we were working on various projects. Over time, I have spent thousands of dollars at your restaurants. I may not be your best customer but I am one of them.
Earlier this evening, a friend of mine and I visited your restaurant at 250 W. 500 S. in Salt Lake City, Utah. When we arrived there were no children visible in the restaurant. We were seated at the extreme west end of the restaurant. We had gotten our drinks but our orders had not been taken when a family arrived with what I will be politically incorrect and call a screaming brat. When our male waiter returned, I asked that we be moved to a different location and we were moved to the extreme eastern end of the restaurant after being told that what appears to be a private room for parties and such was not available.
As we were being seated at the eastern end of the restaurant, a female waitress appeared and asked what was wrong. I told her that I did not want to sit next to a screaming brat. She immediately told me I was rude and that she would not serve me. She further stated that the child in question had some sort of handicap. Whether the child had a handicap or not I have no way of knowing. And, of course, it is totally irrelevant. I paid the male waiter three dollars for a Diet Coke that had been served and we left. We ended up eating at a Mexican restaurant directly across the street.
I have no objection to children. But they need to be well behaved if they are out in public. I attend concerts at our local Symphony Hall and I can assure you that such behavior would not be tolerated there. I attend plays at the Hale Theater and children under six are not welcome at that venue nor would children over six be allowed to remain if they were to cause a disturbance.
I am well aware that Denny's is a family restaurant. The fact that families are welcome does not mean that you should disregard the right of other patrons to have a peaceful meal. This incident is not the first time I have had to put up with unruly children at one of your restaurants. Two or three months ago I was eating with a friend at your 2100 S. and 900 W. restaurant in Salt Lake City and as I was being seated I specifically asked the waitress not to sit any unruly children near us. Within five minutes, a family came in with a screaming baby. That family was seated less than five or 6 feet from where I was sitting. My friend and I moved. However, on that occasion I was not told I was being rude when I asked to move nor was I advised that I would not be served.
As a result of that earlier incident, I have actually been patronizing Denny's less frequently and visiting restaurants such as sports bars and breweries where unruly children are less likely to be encountered. Over time, I have never witnessed any Denny's employee attempting to intervene to quiet unruly children or to ask parents to take any action to quiet them. It seems that anything goes.
Bottom line, I will never again set foot in a Denny's restaurant. Depending on the response to this email, I may elect to order takeout from time to time but even that is likely to occur less frequently than before. I am extremely offended by being told by your waitress that I am rude for expecting to have a reasonably peaceful meal in a public restaurant. I didn't catch her name as I should have tonight but it should be relatively easy to figure out who it was. As far as I can tell there were only two folks on duty serving at that time. We were there around 7:30 PM on Monday, November 30, 2015. You have a waitress with very poor customer service skills. She may think I am a mean, old crank with gray hair. Need 36 St Miami Fla - Me and my party ate a late night dinner and when we talk to pay one employee told me that the other one would check me out. She walked and the one that was suppose to check me out said hello to a white man, left me standing at the counter! She was a **!

The whole time I was there the waitress was very inattentive to me. Payed more attention to the elderly couple behind me. Aloof is how I would describe her. The first time she brought the check I still wanted more pancakes, never bothered to check up on me. Ordered the All You Can Eat Pancakes. I swear she forgot about me because she never came back to bring it again. After waiting for a very long time I decided to go the front register and just pay it. I even called them after I got home to let them know how ** her service was. I'm never going to this Denny's again. Located in Citrus Heights off Greenback and Sunrise.

We went to go eat at Denny's restaurant, around 12mn, Sunday, a group of 14. My sister ordered a grilled chicken on her menu. With the decent wait, our food finally arrived. She immediately noticed, it wasn't GRILLED, but greasy looking chicken. She then called the server, and then informed her upon asking the cook, they ran out of grilled chicken, so they decided on their own accord to give her FRIED as it's only the one available. They didn't even have the courtesy of asking her, or informing her? Of Any other choices perhaps of her choice? So bad service! I don't think I will come visit this place or any of my family. I for sure will tell my friends, to take heed of what they serve.

We got seated right away. When we went to order they were out of like 1/4 of their menu. The food's okay but it always comes out not even that warm. The service is slow. It's just bad. I'm never going back.

On September 6, 2015 at 3:12 am, we were seated and professionally greeted by our waitress who took our order for breakfast food. A few bites into eating, my boyfriend and I witnessed and managed to kill a roach that was running from one of our plates then quickly all around our particular seating area. The roach was seen by the waitress after it was killed, and we notified management on site of the disgusting and appalling experience. We have been told by the General Manager of that restaurant, who apologized profusely to us that someone else will contact us further in resolution of this matter. Last date of contact to General Manager, September 9, 2015

Me and my husband went on a romantic getaway. We went to Denny's, there were 3 people in front of us. When we got to the front of the line, my husband ask "how are you doing", the cashier/greeter say nothing but holds her hands up and yells "can someone come and release me", so she walks away. The second cashier/greeter comes up, we are still in the front of the line. She looks at us then yells "who's next", I look at her and say "hello we are next". My husband ask her do they serve tuna melt, she said no and yells out again who's next. We were so upset we just left, but to do that in front of all them people made us both humiliated, and yes we were the only black in there at that time. This was our first romantic getaway and this is how we started our day.

We were seated right away. I ordered a chicken type sandwich with no bacon. I received bacon plus the meal was lukewarm after waiting for a long time for it. Our server never came by to warm up my coffee. Have always loved Denny's but I won't go back to this one.

We entered the restaurant about right 4:30pm. The parking lot was pretty empty, got seated right away but the server did not take the order for at least 15 minutes. The dessert spoon was dirty... Another 40 minutes passed until we got our food (one prime rib salad, one d Steak). The Salad was waiting at least 10 minutes on top of the counter before the steak was ready and we got our food. The prime rib was very cold on top, some slices lukewarm. Salad plate was stained... not sure what with...
We were ready to leave, got a box to from the female owner/manager for the Steak and waited forever for the check. Never got it. We actually got up to pay to the counter where both owners/managers were standing and talking. Ugh. We only have one Denny's Restaurant in Fairbanks. Sorry my husband left the receipt at the Restaurant since we were quite upset. Thank you.
