The food was terrific. The service was great, but your website really sucks -- impossible to navigate. After an hour of going round and round, I never did find what I was looking for -- the address, map and directions to my local Applebee's. Very bad for business. I am new to the area and if I can't find it online I can't go there.

I like Applebee's and the dependable variety that comes with their menu so I decided to dine here on my first visit to the Tullahoma area. I waited 20 minutes for drinks that I ordered as soon as I sat down as well as 20 to order. (I actually checked my phone so I could make sure I wasn't being unfairly impatient.) After an hour with still no food I asked to speak with a manager because a member of my party was going to have to leave to get back to work without having had their food. The manager apologized and offered to comp the food. I told the manager what we heard about their lack of service prior to coming there and her response was: "Oh, we know. It's all over Facebook."
One would think I would heed the many clues I was already given, but no, I stayed anyway. I had ordered an alcoholic drink (also made incorrectly) to start so when our food arrived I ordered a tea. I received the drink but no straw. Not wanting to waste more time I decided to use the straw from my alcoholic drink. When we had eaten the manager made a last visit asking if the food had been okay. Well I asked for a medium burger with a fried egg and I got a well done burger with an over easy egg -- so not really, no. I have, however, received nourishment and I'm ready to go so if I could just get a to go cup I will be on my way. The manager brought me a cup, also with no straw. I preceded to pour my tea into the cup and use the same "alcoholic" straw I had used with dinner.
Upon walking out I was stopped by a different manager who said I couldn't leave with the said cup that the other manager had just given me. Inquiring why, I was "told" that I poured my alcoholic drink into the cup. There hadn't been any alcohol on the table LONG before the cup was brought to me to pour anywhere much less into a cup. As a manager unless you see something with your own eyes you had better get the facts before making an accusation because you are expected to set the standard or service your staff will adhere to.
Having had it by this time, I explained that no, I had tea in the cup which I was glad to show her. The manager commented that she had to check because the straw I had in the cup was for alcohol. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE MANAGEMENT. If one manager validates the rumors of bad service and the other manager accuses before asking, then put together they are still just singing "If I only had a brain." Reading the reviews online now I can see that indeed the manager was right, "It is all over Facebook." I sincerely hope somewhere, somehow this corporation finds out about this place and saves it before it's too late.

Service is slow as it took over 20 minutes to get an order placed through the server. Food delivery from time of ordering took almost 30 minutes, but the restaurant was less than 35% full. Food was lukewarm and tasteless. This is my third similar experience at this Applebee's in two months. It is my last visit until my friends tell me it has improved. Seems like the prices get higher and the food quality and portions get lower as time progresses.

Went to Applebee's in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Menu showed a picture of 4 different choices (for the 2 entrees for $26). We chose the steak, mac/cheese, mixed veggies as in the photos. The server then said we had to pay $1.99 extra for mac/cheese. This was odd because it clearly showed entire meal 2 for $26. The steak was supposed to be 8 oz. It was dried out and small. The mgr said they weigh it out at 8 oz, then cook it so it's served smaller. I am paying for an 8 oz steak so why is it less than 8 oz when it gets to the table. We ordered a raspberry iced tea and strawberry lemonade. They were both watered down. We had problems trying to find the server. The restaurant was not crowded. Will never go back. It's a ripoff!!!

The service at Applebee's is awful. The server is always missing in action. The food is dry and bland. I had to leave my table and locate someone for a glass of water. The restaurant was freezing cold. Therefore, our entrees got cold quickly. I asked for manager (Tim) he never appeared. This is the third bad experience in a row. Goodbye Applebee's. Your food and service SUCKS. The restaurant isn't crowded and the service is slow.

We arrived and we're greeted properly, we Sat at the bar ordered drinks and the bartender was great. We were given a table at the windows farthest from the front door. We were waiting for 1 more person to arrive so our waitress was very nice and gave us time. Being a party of 7 people that was nice, we ordered (pic of receipt) and waited what I thought was a long time even for 7 people 20 to 30 min for appetizer then when that was removed we waited for 41 minutes for main course to arrive BUT WAIT we got two orders then 12 minutes we got 1 more order. At this time, a waitress (Marisa) passed and I asked her why our food was not coming out altogether, she got mad when I asked her to explain where our food was and turned while I was in full sentence and walked away (RUDE IS ALL I CAN SAY). She walked around to the other side of the bar and had a conversation with the manager who came to the table next.
When she arrived she already had an attitude, she asked what was the problem. I started by telling her we have been sitting here a long time waiting for our food 41 min and now we get 2 dishes the 1 more in 12 min so while waiting for 53 minutes we still do not have all our main dishes while I was telling her this more but not all of our dishes came to the table. I told her this was unacceptable and while I was explaining the fact that I was not happy she turned and started a conversation with my daughter about what she had ordered. I said, "Excuse me I was talking to you," she just blew me off. I then got a little louder and explained that that is exactly what her employee did to me, her comment to me was, "Can you see we are busy?" I again said to her that is not an excuse and before I could get it out she got loud saying the kitchen was backed up and doing the best that they can.
Well let me explain 1 thing to you I am a commercial plumbing manager and this whole exchange was unacceptable for 1 employee and 1 manager to get mad that we did not get our dishes together. i. e. The last main dish hit the table 68 minutes from the time our appetizers were cleared from the table, I don't know about the owners of this restaurant but I could be safe in saying they would not be happy if this was their table. I would like to know the outcome of this email PLEASE once it is looked into! THANK YOU.

When we arrived at Applebee's, willing to new things we ordered with no problem. Took 20 minutes to sit. As we walked to our table I saw several other booths open. Then why did it take 20 minutes? Once our salads came we realized we never got our silverware. I am a big flirt. However I wasn't flirting with the waitress. She kept putting her hands on me. The lady I was with said I was rude because I was flirting with the waitress. I wasn't C-man. The problem was the waitress couldn't keep her hands to herself. It caused a big fight with the lady I was with. I just felt violated. Y'all's waitress needs to learn to keep her hands to herself. ** weirdo. I probably will NOT go back!

Applebee's in the Bayshore Town Center Mall Milwaukee is the biggest bad joke of a restaurant in town. We go in and are seated. Ok so far. But then nearly 15 minutes goes by and no one even comes close to our table to take our order. We are completely ignored. So we walk back to the hostess and say "No one came to take our order". She looks at us with a perplexed expression and says nothing. We walk out the door as she sort of shrugs. The chance of us ever returning to this sorry place: 0%.

I went to Huber Heights Applebee's, first off, the FLOOR was so GREASY we slide. It was wet outside so we thought it was just the water, so we took our seats. The server was very good. Our food came out and was COLD, and the buns were soggy from the meat. They were so overstuffed with tomatoes that they also added to the soggy buns. The fries were cold, it was just a horrible meal. Our server was gone by this time, she must have got off. We told another server and they took so long to come back we just decided to leave. My friend had to use the restroom and so did I. She went first and when she came back out she told me she didn't think I should go in because the floor was so GREASY, she had to hold the sides so she wouldn't fall down. She said it seemed as if they mopped the floor with the same mop as they mopped the kitchen with because of how slippery it was.
I had to go to the bathroom so I went in with caution. She WAS NOT KIDDING, it was so greasy I had to hold on to the wall so I wouldn't fall. It was gross. When I exited I told 2 people about it, they seemed like they just didn't care and said "yeah I know". When I got back to the table we were discussing that if the bathroom and main floors were so bad the hygiene must really be bad in the rest of the place. I called the next day and talked to the manager gave him my receipt information, he said he would get back to me. HE NEVER did. I called 2 other times and talked to not only him, but his asst. manager. They NEITHER one got back with me as they said they would. That was the end of OCT 2015, it's now JAN 28, 2016. I will never go back. I also tell all my friend about this place. They should be investigated, they could really make someone sick, and I'm sure they have!

My husband and I ate at Applebee's in Shirley last night January 14th 2016, we had a waiter by the name of Timothy R. He was an amazing waiter, very personable. He made suggestions on food that he thought we would might like and if we didn't care for it he even said he take it back and get her something else. Everything suggested was incredible, I am never eating at Applebee's before but from now on when I do, it will be at Applebee's in Shirley with Timothy as our waiter because we've eaten at restaurants like Peter Lugers in Manhattan New York and didn't have service like we did last night.

We went to the local Applebee's on 3139 Miller Rd. Flint, Mi. I had a gift card from my teacher Secret Santa. I've been an Applebee's customer for over 20 years. We sat at the bar... which was covered in water. The bartender **... blamed my husband for spilling the water when we sat down. Then said "I'll get your drinks once I get the waitresses their drinks." There were no waitresses waiting. Troy orders a vodka giblet and told her he wanted Grey goose vodka with rose lime juice... She said "shut up, I know how to make it." She brought my beer (Michelob Ultra) then made his drink with a premixed lime juice. It was horrible.
Then when we went to order food we asked her if an entree contained lemon... When I told her I was severely allergic to all citrus... she said "I don't know. Why does that matter!?" Then we asked for a manager. The manager was nice. She said "I can't guarantee that it doesn't". The bartender would not take off the lousy drink from the tab. I was generous I gave the bartender a 1.00 tip. She deserved $0. So for the crappy vodka giblet and my Michelob Ultra our tab was 11.39. This comment is going on my Facebook page.

While our family was eating, the song l.m.l.y.p by Ween blares over the speakers right over our table. Please Google the lyrics parents, you be appalled. I immediately told the greater of the problem and he sent the manager over. His response was "I'm sorry about that but we can't control our music" and that's it....really!?!?! You just blasted nasty, sexually explicit filth above my kids head and that's it?? We were mortified and had to sit our kids down after dinner and explain how inappropriate that was and they shouldn't have heard it. I'm just amazed by the lack of concern or customer service by the manager. I'm so HORRIFIED, I contacted corporate so we'll see how that goes! BTW, we spent over $50. Sad they wouldn't even offer a free appetizer or comp something for the repulsiveness we were subjected to.

Your restaurant is horrible. I went to the location at West 16th avenue, Hialeah Florida yesterday 11/23/15 around 4:15. Then host took me and my family to a table and told us, "The server be right with you." 5min went by and a girl server and a guy kept walking next to us and looked at us and didn't stop to see if we were getting help. I told my mom "You know what, they're not even busy. That's so disrespectful." I'm a server, I work for Ruby Tuesday for 7yrs now and I really thought that my restaurant was bad since we have a 30 second rule to greet people. But back to the point we got up and were walking the door, the host went by us and didn't even ask why we we're leaving and not only that, your server tell the other server "Oh 61 is leaving" but don't even ask why. She took our order after taking it to five other customers. Never kept our drinks full. Then we had to leave, brought our bill up and never anything for my birthday. She had told my son it was a dessert you get for it. I never got anything. Applebee's here in Kennewick disappoints us every time we go eat there. Went to an Applebee's at Green Acres mall in Valley Stream and had repeated issues. EVERY time I go there and I request the check and pay them for the food, they NEVER give them my correct change (they KEEP my change and give me solid bills (5, 10's, etc.) and a single or two). So, I'm thinking, this waitress has a lot of nerve for not giving me all of my money back and then EXPECT me to give them a 15% or higher tip. Why should the waiter feel free to keep my change when I did not give them permission to do so? In response to this, I subtract the change they took from what they gave me which will amount to me giving them 15% (which they don't deserve for taking my change without my permission). They want to coerce the customer into giving them large tips.
I'm NOT a cheap tipper. On average, I give them 15%. If I don't, it's because the service was great (I increase tip) or it was lousy (tip gets decreased). This is FAIR. No one should get a decent tip if they don't do the right thing. I'm never rude to the servers. After all, they are serving me food and I don't want them to do something awful, like spit in my food. You have to be careful when people are serving you.
This time, I'm DONE with them. They, knowing that I subtract the change, they take a part of the tip to make up the 15%, now serve me poorly. The food on my plate looked as if it was thrown around. I looked at the person across from me who ordered the same thing and there was a BIG difference. They had more food and the food was proportioned correctly. This practice is dishonest, unethical, and needs to be corrected. I'm telling as many people as I can about this restaurant. Something needs to be done.

Well my husband and I ate at Applebee's on 10/16/15 and not only did the menu change and I understand that be the selection was not only limited but the food was very undesirable. For example, my husband's ribs were very overcooked and dry. I had a chicken dish and was very disappointed in the taste of it. I do want to say that our waitress was very sweet. I just wanted you to know that the food sucked and I don't think we will ever eat there again just for that reason. Thank you for your time.

We must have eaten maybe 5 or 6 ribs before seeing the other side. I called the waitress to tell her that it was unsafe to eat meat that way, she did notice that it was burned. She took the food back and came back with the manager, **. She was completely disrespectful, she started counting how many ribs we ate so that she can get order us exactly what we had left. I just could not believe that reaction from a multi Franchise restaurant chain like Applebee. She was not professional at all. I used to own a restaurant, it was no way how to handle a customer. She definitely needs a little more training, because the chain just lost a loyal customer and some of my friends just for a few ribs. It was so petty.

My boyfriend and I sat down for an early dinner at the Applebee's in Chico, CA and the service was terrible. It took the waiter forever to acknowledge us, take our order, and bring us our check. There were only about 6 other couples in the entire restaurant so there was no reason for the long delays. Each time he brought our drinks, food, and check he never said one word to either of us! There were flies buzzing around our table and the couple in the booth next to us said her food was burned. I couldn't get out of there fast enough! We did not leave a tip and will never eat at another Applebee's again. Their sanitation and service leave A LOT to be desired! I was completely disgusted by the whole experience.

We live in the neighborhood. As of now there are not many options to eat out. A few times when we were too busy to cook, we went to Applebee's. The experience keeps going from bad to worse. Each time we tried to give that place another chance, we were only disappointed to the point that we won't be back. List of issues: Cleanliness, if you can call it that. All tables are sticky to the touch. They need to be properly cleaned. Menus: disgusting sticky to touch, dirty, spilled on and torn, a real turn-off appetite killer. Food: gets served not properly heated, both soup and chicken inside oriental chicken salad were cold on more than one occasion; you have to fear salmonella poisoning.
Wait time: even when the restaurant is almost empty, it takes more than 10-15 minutes to get a server's attention, service is extremely slow before food and when you wait for your empty dish to be removed and for the check, everyone just stands around and walks slow. Noise: music is way too loud, even after we requested three times to have it turned down, it didn't happen. One-sided choice of music, mostly black soul and hip-hop, harlem is no longer predominantly african american. It's changing fast, you need to go with the times.
Note that there will be new restaurants opening along with the new shopping centers that are being built in the area. Applebee's Harlem might as well close down its business if they don't up their standard.

Applebee's, Jamaica, NY, Wednesday, 09-16-2015 at 8:00 p.m. Total $46.00 Serial#: ** - I experienced really disgustingly unprofessional customer service from a black female manager Eloise at Applebee's, Jamaica, NY. She had an attitude when the server asked her to replace my daughter's food because it was cold, the fries were not seasoned and the food did not taste right. She took the food that was on the table and did not say what she would do and walked away. I called the server, asked why the manager took the food off the table we rejected as the food was in a plastic container. Because initially I was afraid to complain but as I was leaving realized I had to because my six years old daughter was so disappointed with the food's outcome she did not eat it and I did not want to be cheated out of my money. My concern was that the manager would simply reheat the same food of which my daughter did not like.
The server returned saying the manager said it would be a fresh batch. So we sat waiting from 8:35-8:53 pm - waiting for the food, to pay and leave. No one stopped by to check on us, nor offered an apology. Then the manager emerged, slapped the food on the table in a plastic container and sped off. I quickly said "Excuse me" twice then she returned. I asked if it was the same food, then she picked the food up, held it in her hand, then slapped it down again and said "This is absolutely a fresh batch." While I was there I wrote an initial review of this at Applebee's website but was compelled to write another review after I got home and saw three evidence that the food was the exact same meal we had rejected. My daughter ate one and a half shrimp, I ate one and the portion was the same as before and the half shrimp was still in it.
Third the fries were not seasoned and the waitresses brought out fresh seasoned fries which were in the container the manager took. The fries I took home were not seasoned, so the manager took out the fresh fries and gave us the old fries instead. She kept us an additional 18 minutes just to reheat the same old rubber food that did not taste good and lied directly to our faces. After seeing this evidence I was outraged at this manager's absolute reckless and unprofessional behavior. It was not the cold and lackluster meal, nor the server, nor the delay with the drinks, nor the cold appetizer, it was the horrible and bad customer service provided by the manager Ms. Eloise that ruined an otherwise peaceful ambiance of the night.

My husband and I have three children and rarely get out alone. We made time to go to Applebee's and have dinner. We were looking forward to a nice relaxing meal without the three little ones. The meal was delicious and the drinks were tasty. We had never played the Applebee's game they have set up at every table so we decided to pay the fee to play it and have a few more drinks during dinner. Little did we know that our server had other plans for us. We felt rushed for the moment we sat down and didn't know exactly what we wanted to drink. He seemed irritated that we didn't know what we wanted after we were sat and he had to come back. Then after getting our drinks and bringing them back to us he seemed ever more irritable that we didn't know what we wanted to eat and had to come back.
After we placed our meal order we started playing their game and drinking as we continued playing and drinking after the meal. Our server never asked us if we wanted another drink, dessert or anything. He just came over and dropped off our check. My husband and I kind of looked at each other in disbelief. We were finishing up our round in the trivia game we were playing and the waiter came back to pick up the check that we hadn't even pulled out our wallet for. He decided to stand there and wait for my husband to pull out his credit card and give it to him. He then went and paid the bill with the card, therefore our game had been canceled because it was paid for... we planned on having another drink and we planned on playing more, but the server was just something that I still can't wrap my head around. Horrible customer service. Now I know next time when I want to chill with my husband where I can't do that at.

I will not be a customer to Applebee’s any longer. Last week, I registered a complaint with Applebee’s Corporate Office (David) to inform them about the inadequate service that this location (Greenburgh, New York) displays. Point given, they are always out of product - Beer, Food, broken refrigerator, serving beer in hot glasses, out of glasses, the food is in poor quality when brought out from the kitchen, and when brought to Management's attention - they don't care. In fact, one Manager on duty (Anthony **) at the time told me on one occasion that "It be that way sometimes." I informed Corporate that it is the servers and Bartenders that gave that location great service that exemplifies the greatness in protecting the Applebee’s brand name, and bringing loyal customers back to that Restaurant. Sadly to say, The Management Team at that location lacked Professionalism and Moral Dignity for its customers.
Today, I received a call from an (Area Director) Kim ** for this Franchise (Not Corporate Restaurant) who asked me what was the problem. I stated my complaint as mentioned earlier in this message. To my surprise the Area Director stated to me that her Managers will never talk like that to a customer. My response to her was that I am not a liar and would not arbitrarily make this up. She then stated that "are you the person that orders salad," and I stated yes. Kim ** then stated that she is sorry I feel that way - that she does not want me back at their Restaurant anymore. My reply was “No problem. I will take my business elsewhere.”
I called Applebee’s Corporate Office, and again filed another customer complaint reiterating the aforementioned. They stated that they were shocked, and that they will further investigate however, this is a franchise, and they have a right to refuse service to anyone. (Sounds Like The Jim Crow South All Over Again.) To be honest, I came there because I have met some great people at this location, and have made friends as well. The place is a cheap, dump, broken Restaurant that never have 100% what you ask for. Out of beer, the refrigerator is broken, out of certain foods, out of certain glasses, out of this, and out of that. What they should be is out of Damn Business. Point Blank and I give them one year from now or less that this come to past.
So, I will NOT be back there ever again, and I will take my business back to where I belong - White Plains real Business Establishments. I have sent this message to all of my business partners who are calling, telling me that they are in total shock. They are also going with me to other establishments that treat their customers with dignity and respect.

It was suppose to have bacon and onions (and cheese)... well it had cheese! But the onions were little tiny bits of onion not worthy of a Big Mac! Where were the whole slices/rings of onion???? And there was more bacon in a small cup of bacon-bean soup made from Campbell's condensed soups than in this burger... NO whole pieces (or even half pieces) of bacon at all! If anyone pays full price for this horrible burger ($11.95 I believe), they have a lot more money to waste than I do! P.S. The service was SUPER!

We had been to the Applebee's at Lake Mary on a Friday and the food was pathetic. The server was rude and impatient. Even after being specific that we are vegetarians, we were not informed properly about our order and we were served meat burgers!!! We ordered a mushroom Swiss burger (nowhere was it mentioned that it had meat nor the waitress mentioned about it, though we specifically told her we are vegetarians).
After we got the food, my hubby had a small bite of it and the taste felt quite different. So when we asked the waitress, she coolly said, "Yes, it has meat in it and we don't do anything without meat." How arrogant! She wasn't even sorry. We felt extremely bad and it has hurt us very badly, we being vegetarians since birth!!! The side order was also pathetic!!! Not fresh and tasty! The Friday night's karaoke is a real torture!!! Please, for god's sake, stop being frugal and stop the karaoke!!! Never again I will go to this restaurant.

Last night 8/10/2015, I frequented again the Tewksbury, MA Applebee’s since I am a regular customer at the bar area. I am not a drinker and just order iced tea and water usually with some clam chowder. I enjoy talking with the patrons and like the atmosphere. I was outside in my car and listening to music when suddenly an employee came out and informed me that I would have to leave the premises or the "cops" would be called. I said I would turn the music off and she said “okay!” Melissa was the manager on duty at the time. I decided to leave anyway. I called the Tewksbury PD and spoke with a lady and she advised me that I could file a complaint. I decided not to at the time.
Today on 8/11/2015, I stopped there for lunch and was immediately approached by Rene (a manager). She mentioned to me that I was not really welcomed there and that I should just finish my clam chowder and water and then leave. I said that I had given Applebee’s a lot of friendly visits and that if she wanted the police there that I would call them. She quickly departed and politely said that I am welcome to stay and frequent Applebee’s.
Then tonight also on 8/11/2015, I stopped by Applebee’s again for something to eat and was immediately approached by a Mr. Aric ** at the bar where he informed me that I was not welcome again! "Many" was the bar tender and is a witness to this order. I informed him that I would leave and call the police which I did NOT. I left the "Home Depot" parking lot and went home only to be greeted at my condo parking lot in Lowell, MA by the Tewksbury PD shining their high beams in my face while trying to back my car into the parking space. They approached my car and I got out and they served me a "Notice of Trespass" issued by Mr. Aric **, the manager on duty at the Tewksbury Applebee’s.
I said that I would never again go to that Applebee’s and that I would find another place out of Tewksbury to visit. I also mentioned that I would tell all my friends what had happened to me tonight! The police left. I am a former USAF military officer and pilot during the 1970's and have NEVER been treated like this EVER since I left the US Air Force. I always try to do the right thing and am very respectful of other people. This experience was very unfair to say the least!

My husband ordered the bourbon steak, I ordered the bourbon shrimp and chicken and our child ordered a cheeseburger and fries. My husband and my meal came, we ate, and 5 minutes after we finished our waitress came out hurriedly with a hamburger smothered in cheddar cheese. No fries. All the time we were waiting, she stayed in the back so we weren't able to question what was going on. We refused the burger and asked to speak to the manager. We express our dissatisfaction to her very calmly but firmly. She left to get the manager, but came back saying the manager had reduced our bill. He never came to the table! We thought they had to go buy the ingredients; the salads were pathetically poor quality old lettuce and too many stems; the chicken in the oriental salad was overcooked with excessive coating. The orders of fish and chips was so greasy. It could not all be eaten. Even the green bean crispers were bad news their being too greasy and apparently made with mushy frozen green beans. My husband and I stopped into the Applebee's on gateway in Springfield Oregon last night. The bar is open seating and was completely empty. The hostess handed us menus as we entered the bar. After that, we were never acknowledged again. Ten minutes went by, a manager and 3-4 servers stood giggling and flirting at the end of the bar. Completely ignoring my husband and myself, the only two customers sitting at the bar! We never did see the bartender before we just got up and left. That's the second time in 6 months I've been offended and not served well at all at the same Applebee's location.
The time before that when I was there, the pregnant bartender had an emotional break down and needed to step outside for a moment. THE SAME MANAGER that did such a good job ignoring us last night, got behind the bar to fill in for the young lady and he inappropriately complained about her to my husband and myself. Saying things like "she's pathetic" and yelling over our heads to another employee "I need to get someone in here who can handle it."
The only two times I've stopped into that Applebee's location the same manager made the experience horrible. The first time he acted like it was a crime against humanity that he had to step behind the bar and work for a few minutes. This last time he just didn't step in and do anything. He left customers just sitting no drinks or waters or even acknowledgement we were there at all for over 10 minutes. I've been in customer service for over ten years. The service at the Applebee's on gateway in Springfield OR (in the bar) is HORRIBLE. I wish I would of got the manager's name. I'm thinking of calling today and getting his name..

Hello. My girlfriend and I like to go to the local Applebee's about once a week. I have been going there for 10 years or more and have almost always had good experiences...They have changed ALL of the items on the menu that I frequently order. I spend quite a bit when I visit (50-70 dollars) and I am VERY disappointed about the changes... My food was served in a damn tin metal tray which further infuriated me. I ordered the Chicken Quesadillas as it has been my favorite. I received 30% less food than normal. The portion is smaller and IT'S NOT WHAT I CAME THERE FOR. I don't give a damn about where the food is seasoned at. I will find a new restaurant for my family to go to.
I have never been this disappointed this much by food. This new menu is terrible in my opinion. It seems the owners want Applebee's to seek a younger crowd... I'm 26 and I feel they have downgraded their restaurants (3-4 I visit) for who knows what reason. Changing the whole theme of the stores was a bad idea. Now the menu changes... My money will not be spent at Applebee's ANYMORE!

She didn't have our table set w/ napkins, cutlery, and small salad plates. In which we'd already placed an order for our appetizers. She constantly kept forgetting to bring stuff to the table (ex. salad dressing, steak sauce, etc.)
She was rude, wasn't paying any attention to address ANY of the issues that we were trying to get her to take care of that night. And we would've mentioned this to the manager if we would've ONLY knew who it was that night and once we did find out who it was she was in the process of having a "heated" discussion w/ the hostess that greeted us and we didn't dare to speak w/ her because she wasn't too pleasant to approach. So, instead of speaking to her on this we didn't say anything and just wanted to finish our meal and just leave, and all we thought was WOW we're never going there again!!! My sister and I loved visiting Applebee's on our shopping trips we took every few months to the next town over. They have completely changed their menu. They have replaced the well cooked and flavorful cheeseburger sliders with these things that barely have any meat on them and are so slathered in spicy sauce that you can't taste a bloody thing. It was so spicy that I couldn't eat it. Bear in mind this is in New England, not the south, so people around here don't typically go for super hot foods.
The wedge salad my cousin ordered was also a mess. A good lettuce wedge salad has a little blue cheese dressing and topped with diced tomatoes and bacon bits. This thing was flooded, and I mean flooded with dressing. You couldn't even tell there was a lettuce wedge in there. And forget the tomatoes and bacon. Chopped pecans? She commented that with the lake of dressing you couldn't taste the billions of pecans at all. The plate was garnished with a tiny piece of bacon, too large to be a "bit". She said it was like eating a crunchy lake of blue cheese dressing, and eventually pushed it away to pick at her appetizer again.
At least the sweet potato fries and green beans are still decent.
Dear Applebee's: We loved your menu! Don't take away our favorite dishes and add things that don't suit your clientele for the region! You used to be our favorite restaurant! I'm not visiting again until you bring my dang sliders back!!!

Today 3/6/2015 again I suggested taking my staff but to the Lake Lansing, MI and no silverware, appetizers late, our waiter after 1/2 hr came and said there was a mix-up, and that was putting it mildly. Food was cold...again wrong order, no silverware, and three different waitresses brought other customers' orders. Discussed w/ mgr and that is a whole long story. First of all, my wife and I go to Applebee's in Hermitage, TN at least once a week for the past 3 months. I order the full rack of honey bbq baby back ribs and she orders the chicken tenders with Honey bbq sauce every time. Out of the past 4 times we've been, once my ribs were burnt to the point that they actually were black and crispy and you could literally scrape the char off of them (this was on a Friday evening around 7 pm). Then, the last time I went (around 1 pm on a Thursday), they weren't done all the way and they were "chewy" and didn't even come all the way off the bone. The last time, they at least comped me some riblets to TRY and compensate (even though I ordered ribs, not riblets!!).
Even though we've been having bad experiences, we had a $75 gift card that a friend had given us so we thought we'd give them a go one more time on today, Sunday 3/1/2015, and called in a Carside to go order for our usual. The young man on the phone advised me at 12:31 pm that our order would take no more than 20 minutes because it was a little busy but no longer than that. I told him that would be great because my wife had work 20 miles away at 1:30 in the pharmacy where she works. At 12:58 (27 minutes later), we pulled in and I called to let them know we were there.
Five minutes later, a young lady came out, went to the car next to us first, then to ours after finding out she was at the wrong car. She asked if it was our order and started my name as "Corinth." I said, "No, Ma'am, my name is Conquest," and after her describing our order and stating it was a gift card order, I told her it was mine. She then explained that my order was completed just then because the ribs weren't generally ready until 1 pm on Sundays and she tried to play the "blame game" and blame the young gentleman who took my order.
I explained that he may be to blame for my name being wrong (after I spelled it out for him) and that the vehicle was wrong (I told him a white Toyota Rav 4) and they went to a white Scion car first, but that the ribs and my order not being ready was not his fault and I wouldn't hear of it. I signed my receipt, giving her a generous tip, and she said she would be right back out with the order. Approximately 10 minutes later at 1:08 pm, I was furious that she hasn't returned with my order yet and my wife was upset because she had work in 22 minutes and her work was 20 miles away in Lebanon, TN. So I went into the restaurant, went directly up to the young lady who I knew from all my previous visits to be one of the acting managers, quickly expressed my infuriation, and told her to cancel my order immediately.
As we were pulling out of the parking lot and about to go down the road, I then call to get confirmation of the balance on my gift card and she said, "Your order is just now ready, Sir, and I can run it out real quick," 45 minutes after I placed it and 25 minutes AFTER IITWSe told me she corrected it also. I told her, "No, we are already gone. My wife is now going to be late to work now. She's going with no lunch and has no time to even go get anything else. I don't have lunch either, and you putting my funds back on my gift card is not correcting the issue!"
I explained that even though she fishing remember me, I knew who she was (obviously because I went straight to her) and that we were both repeat customers to the establishment and that she lost our business for good and I would be making a report and calling her corporate office about the issues. She only said, "I'm sorry Sir, but we do have your order ready now - the ribs took a little longer than expected." So I hung up frustrated beyond belief because they had ample amount of time to serve me two separate in the 45 minutes it took to finally complete my order. She didn't offer any consolation or anything other than to tell me my order was now ready after 45 minutes of my placing my order. Terrible service and incompetent management! This particular establishment needs to "clean house."

We had told them we would need a high chair. We were fine waiting at first because the people that arrived before us should be seated before us. We continue to wait and watched as people who arrived after us and were added to the wait list after us were seated. They were seated in tables that would have worked for our family.
I watched as the man who I think was the manger for the night continued to watch the far back corner for a table to open. I asked him why we were not seated at a table and he said, "Oh they were before you and you will be next." We continued to wait and did not get seated. He continued to walk to and watch the back corner. It very much seemed like he was waiting to seat us until a certain spot opened. The only thing we could figure out is that they were not seating us because we had a child that needed a high chair. She came to table about 1 15 mins into our visit and just said "I put the order in, it's just taking long." Just doesn't even wait for answer or anything. I called the 5th Street Reading Pennsylvania Applebee’s for my weekly order of 50 wings. Was told after being put on hold for at least 20 minutes and then having 3 different people came on and put me back on hold that their new bone-in wings for some reason have changed their recipe (add gluten) toxic poison to people with celiac disease... for people who don't understand how severe gluten allergies are, I hope you experience a severe reaction yourself so you would understand that there are so few food items that we can eat. Why did you have to change the bone in wings at your reading pa 5th st restaurant? I'm very sad and a bit mad that you made a poor thought out decision to change the recipe...I have been writing wonderful letters in raving about how i finally found a restaurant that made gluten free bone in wings w/out having to add gluten on them.
You just don’t get it and Applebee’s makes the poorest appetizer decision ever and changes the recipe. I hope your boneless wings flop and you need new management over in Reading. The male who's a manager there is horrible and nasty. I would watch that guy very closely, he never had the decency to speak to me in person. And could care less how his restaurant changes affect the life of others. Shame on the person who is responsible for that decision to change bone in wing recipe. I'm going viral and tell everyone NOT to order the wings, they will now make you deadly sick. I WONDER IF YOU EVEN REALIZE HOW SICK YOU CAN GET. MAKE SURE YOU TELL EVERYONE WHO THOUGHT YOUR BONE IN wings changed or you’re going to get sued... Pissed off and will spread this word...

We went to Applebee's in Grants Pass Oregon. I ordered shrimp and pasta for my son. The pasta was terrible. I informed the waitress that it was terrible and wanted to order my son something else. I ordered shrimp and steak medium rare. When I cut into the steak it was basically raw. I told the waitress that I wanted to see the what I believe was the floor manager that came by and told me they were sorry the pasta was bad. The floor manager came to my table and saw that the steak was raw and full of gristle and apologized.
I told her I now just wanted to pay my check and leave. I gave her a 100 dollar bill (the total for the meal was $37.10). The lady returned and laid my change on the table all in 5 dollar bills and 80 cents in change. She left and I picked up and counted the bills which added up to 45 dollars which of course did not add up. I called the waitress over and told her this wasn't right and ask that she have the lady come back. In a few minutes the waitress came back and said the lady had given me the wrong stack and handed me 40 dollars in 5 dollar bills and 19 dollars in one dollar bills which almost was right but again not right.
I wrote 100 minus the 37.10 on the kids crayon paper and told her what the change was suppose to be. I am 63 years old and in my entire life I have never been to a restaurant that the food came out of the kitchen so bad. Obviously the cook is incompetent and the staff all the way to the top can't do basic math. And to add insult to injury out of the 19 dollar bills given to me in my change (which is ridiculous) I gave the waitress a 9.00 dollar tip and she gave me a go h look. I stood up and left. Didn't even pick up the receipt. My friend from Merlin Oregon who went to eat with us said he had never seen such incompetence either.

She said yes. Maybe I should have asked how much it was which I didn't. Not expecting to see a charge for 8.99 on my bill, she offered to change the bill, but that she would have to pay for it out of her own pocket, this I did not want. So I paid the $71.00 bill. As I walked thru them I received not a single smile, effort to move, or an "excuse me" for them being in my way. I returned to my seat and this is what I heard behind me. "I may need to do some of that," made a sniffing sound, "b/c I'm not feeling it tonite. And I'm not drinking now, that's why I'm outta it." Red Bull cans and a bottle of Sprite were on their table. There were a total of 4 servers on their cell phones, around the table, standing in the way of the restroom.
When I was a server way back in the 1970's, we were NOT allowed to be idle in front of the customers, let alone occupying a table within 4 ft. of clients. Or talking about drugs. I ask the waitress if I could make it flavored. She replied "yes". When the ticket was placed on the table I notice I was charged 8.99 for the drink plus .40 for the flavor. I then advised my waitress of the charge. She stated ok I will get it changed. The waitress never came back. I visited Applebee's last night 5-17-2014 with some friends for a 21st get together. I had forgot my ID so did not order a drink. I did however take a sip of my friend's drink to see how it tasted. My table was then greeted by the bartender soon after. She came over and started yelling at me telling me if I take one more drink that it would be taken from the table and so forth. I could not believe the way the situation was handled! I work in the restaurant business and there is a way to handle a situation like this and a way not to.
We stayed and waited for our food since we had already order. My boyfriend's plate was terrible! It was $10.99 for a plate of rice with a few pieces of shrimp. We sat there for a little while and we're just hanging out trying to enjoy ourselves while all servers kept close in our area watching our table which was very unpleasant. Also with so many servers pacing back and forth by us the least they could do is get a refill on our waters. Me and one other guest were doing our reviews online while sitting at the table when the very rude bartender came back over and gave me her name for the review I was writing and was extremely rude about that too. She also then explained the situation of me taking a sip of my friend's drink and the effects it could have on her job. I let her know that if she would have came over the first time and explained politely the situation, then there wouldn't have been any issues but since she didn't it was a problem. So not once but twice this lady was very rude with me and my table.
I kept seeing the manager walking around our area and not once came to speak with our table or handle his employees. We could also hear all the servers in the back talking about our table. I have never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. It was unbelievable! I will never return to this Applebee's or any Applebee's if that is how they handle things and if their manager can't step up and take care of issues.

She greeted them with a smile, started a conversation with them, and was not only extremely accommodating, by making suggestions, but made sure their drinks were always full, in contrast to us, who had to ask her to come refill our drinks; and when she did, she did so with an attitude.
At an earlier point of the meal, when the food was brought out, I noticed one of the items that I had ordered was missing, and again, trying to make the best of the situation, and to make it easier for her, I stated to her, "If the mashed potatoes that I ordered were forgotten, don't worry about it, this salad is big enough"... You would think this would have been her opportunity to redeem herself, but instead, she chose to give me that disgusted, dirty look and very rudely stated, "What makes you think I forgot them, I will get them when I could!" If you are not white, if you have a Hispanic or black person in your party, and find yourself having to eat here, please avoid this restaurant; or if you must eat here, avoid this waitress.

I walked into Applebee's for dinner, this was after 6:00PM. No customers, staff outside at a staff meeting. A young man greeted us, we chose to sit at the bar. I ordered a glass of red wine. All they had was a cheap house red wine, Gallo Rossi. My husband ordered a club sandwich, I ordered a side Caesar salad. No staff around who took our order, the women who was conducting the staff meeting outside and then she had to ask someone else about my wine. My fiance's club sandwich consisted of Texas toast bread, fried baloney, beacon, melted cheap yellow cheese, lettuce, tomato. No one asked if we were okay the whole time we were there. They had a serviceman working on the computers in the bar, a total of 5 costumers while we were there.
The service was very, very bad. The food was not what it was to be, fried Boloney on a sandwich. I would not feed that to my dog. We have been to Applebee's in Mexico and never had an issue with service or food. This was the first and this is in San Jose Cabo where you think the Applebee's would be great because of the gringo here. It goes to show you need to stick with the local fish taco stands. Applebee's, you suck in Cabo. I used my credit card and did not leave a tip which is sad for the workers there, but you know they did not deserve it. We felt we were a bother to be there. I am very disappointed in this Applebee's!

The Applebee’s in the Bronx on Fordham plaza needs new workers and new cooks because the food there is no good, and they are always running out of food. The food is sometimes dry, especially "wonton tacos chicken." They come dry and sometimes it will come to you burn. As for the waitresses, they play around a lot and they curse at each other. It's sad. The guys talk about what they are going to do when it's time to go home in front of every table, like who wants to hear that. The waitresses keep talking and making jokes. And they try to include the customers. We come there to eat, to feel relaxed, but that's not happening there. The food takes forever to come, especially the drinks! Now, there is this big problem there. The light keeps turning off and on and all the workers there will start to laugh. They are to ghetto there. No one there is serious. This happens most of the time I go. It's about time I let you know.

Having eaten at Applebees Bayshore, Glendale, Wisconsin, we were a party of 6 with a total dinner and beverage bill of $71.23. A tip of 15% was added and a tax of $5.00. Clearly, the tax was wrong. When I asked the manager, he explained the computer is programed to add tax.
Two issues: First, I was charged tax on the tip. Second, and more important, the tax added was 25% greater than it should be. $5.00 rather than 5.6% on $71.23 equals $3.99. Does Applebees set up their computer to overcharge on tax? That's fraud! Do they purposely add a tax to the tip?

I went into Applebee’s and met Matt the manager. He is a racist, rude, and mean man. He talked, no yelled at the employees and flirted with my daughter who is under the age of 16. He sat next to our table and was rude to the employees. Just because you have a position of authority, it doesn’t give you the right being mean to people. Then when I told him our food was taking too long, he walked away. I hope you strongly talk to him about his behavior or next time I will.

I ordered a mild chicken wings and I got spicy. I ordered medium stake and got well done. I waited for a while for my food. The food did not taste good at all. The only reason I came here was because of their 2 for $20 special which was all chicken--portions are mediocre! I will think again before I go back to Applebee's. This is already the second time that I had problems both in different locations so there must be something about this franchise.

I went there on a Thursday with my brother. The waitress was dressed inappropriately. Her top revealed so much cleavage that it offended me and made me uncomfortable. She kept giving my brother refills of soda and never once asked me for a refill. When she gave us our plates she laid mine down on the table and leaned into my brother to place his down. Of course my brother had to move back because the waitress made it very clear to give him an eyeful of her cleavage. As if she wanted to get a good tip from him.
I ordered a strawberry cheese cake dessert shot and when I received it, I realized it was put together very sloppy. There were probably a couple of crumbs of gram crackers at the bottom and the strawberry sauce was mixed with the filling. I took one look at it and my brother quickly replied to me that it looked nothing like the one in the picture. I agreed. I paid, so I did not leave her a very good tip at all. I don't think I'll be going there again anytime soon.

I do appreciate the honor of working for you guys at Applebees. I was or am in the process of being terminated by Cliff ** for reasons unknown and totally biased. I feel regardless of the outcome, you should at least be aware of what is happening. When we all got the letter about Anthony ** going ill and getting operated on and the whole Applemetro staff coming to his aid, I was the first to reach out to him as I was going through recovery and you were gracious enough to assure me my job back.
I must start by saying that I am a freemason from fidelity lodge 81A in Harlem, and have been so for many years. Hence, by my oath, I am an upright man, sworn to be square in all my dealings and of good standing at all times. I have enclosed a document signed by me and Reny ** regarding my return back to work. I spoke with Cliff and we agreed on me coming to work late and making up the hours during the days I was off or didn't have any physical therapy to go to for which I would work 14 or sometimes 15 hour shifts.
I agreed based on the fact that I have been out of work for about 2 months and in these times, one cannot really afford luxuries like that anymore, especially since my dad died serving and we never really were left with anything. Cliff called me in on Monday and said that he received an email from Reny complaining about me coming in late. I was alarmed as I thought before I even set foot back in Applebees, we worked out this agreement, and from then on I felt like there was already a negative agenda in the works concerning my future in Applemetro.
Initially, I wanted to return back to New Rochelle as I felt more comfortable there and would have to worry much about reestablishing myself with the gm and the staff getting used to my unorthodox leadership style which Reny was apparently intimidated by. I started my usual no nonsense way of whipping BayPlaza into shape as the need for service minded servers was huge. Within the first week, they were all in proper uniform, guest complaints were down, and we actually got a couple of guest praises.
Now Mr. Miguel ** once told me that should anyone ever be caught trying to steal from the company or it's guests that they should be terminated on the spot which culminated form the incident where a server in New Rochelle lied to a guest about not having water, to sell them a bottle and I kept that kind of voracity to heart. When there was a gm meeting held by Cliff and we found 8 servers who were ringing up trios and deleting the cost but sending the orders anyway to sell to guests for a zero charge and keep the proceeds, some ran such transaction over 50 times and we found them using their swipe code. I requested we terminate them and bring in new help.
Reny insisted we keep them, write them up and let them off with a warning. This and many other situations where I wanted quick action to set examples. He always hindered me as he wanted to be the only voice and so my role as a service manager was immediately undermined. Also, Cliff said that 2 servers had filed a complaint about me making comments to them, he did however admit they had no proof or witnesses but felt that on that basis recommended I should seek employment elsewhere. The funny thing about it is that one of the servers had actually openly made sexual remarks and passes towards me in public for which I have witnesses (Koria-bartender), which I shrugged off. All he said was that should my statement pan out and my situation is the truth, the person who made the allegation would get fired.
Great. So what does that do to address my situation? That anyone who makes an allegation that is baseless and without merit about a manager can get that manager punished or in my case terminated immediately without investigation? This is legally immoral as according to my last review I received a successful rating and Cliff signed off on it as well. So I know how to do my job and go beyond the mere requirements, my former gm Denise **(your champion) can verify this. On more than one occasion, I was undermined by the supervisor(Yaritza). I approached Reny about this and as usual, he shrugged it off saying he would address it which he never did. The last two weeks I was there, we were up in sales, guest complaints were down and CSI scores were up. I had to have made some impact in there regardless of noted or not. Numbers don't lie.
Mr. Zane and Miguel, if I didn't have passion for the business of guest service or cared about your opinions of me, I could've simply slipped away in silence, but I simply refuse to go down this path without my voice being heard. I would never choose the legal path before speaking with you sirs for your grace. I simply want you to look further into this on my behalf.
When there was a proven case of a manager dating 7 girls in Bayplaza (Collins), he simply just got transferred to Harlem for one week, then to Fordham as of next week. And he is still with the server, he ended up settling with from the bunch (Natalie-bartender). Most importantly, Cliff knew because he told me about that being the reason why there is a manager opening in Bayplaza as I vehemently requested to go to my old home in New Rochelle where it was safer, less political. Denise was not a gm that micromanaged but rather gave assistant managers room to grow by allowing them hands on experience running the restaurant in her absence. So I ask you gentlemen, in these two scenarios what is ethical, moral and legally correct?
I have always been drawn to men of respectable standings and in the Bible when people of old yearned for knowledge, they clung to those where the knowledge came from so as to learn their ways. I have researched Mr. Zane from the printing mills, union wars, the first building he sold in Manhattan unoccupied for an impressive ROI. And Mr. ****** from the faces of diversity awards, Pacific Gold Inc, you name it and when I speak of you guys, it is with nothing less but beaming pride. I feel a great immoral and unethical injustice has been done and I humbly await your response.
Thank you gentlemen very much for taking time out of your schedules to attend to my ear in a sea of employees and business related plethora. God bless you.

I have been working with Applebee’s since 9/9/2010 and not once have had a break! I got writing up on a final notice because I had a comp. of $130.00 when they only gave me 4 days of training. There are also employees working there that are under age, bar tending with no license. I have physical bruises on my feet showing that I work on my feet from 4-2 am with no breaks! There are also sexual harassments going on that the managers just ignore. On both left and right feet, there are bruises. I lost toe nails. I and other females have been touched without consent!

On 1/23/10 approximately 6:05pm, myself and 2 other co-workers walked into the establishment, gave our names to the matron so we could wait to be seated. The matron expressed it would be about 15 minutes to be seated. On our lunch hour of course we noticed seats at the bar and asked if we could sit there instead of waiting 15 minutes. The matron said yes. So we went to sit at the bar.
We were greeted with the server/attendant named Jonathan who stated to us that he needed all of our IDs because people have been known to skip out on their tabs. But mind you, we were the only African Americans sitting at the bar and we noticed he did not ask anyone else who came and sat at the bar for there IDs. Only one of us gave him our ID, which he proceeded to take it and put the ID in the cash register. We felt that was right at all. We could see if he needs to see our IDs for alcohol purchase, to make sure of our ages. And we all felt it was discrimination and Jonathan sent the manager over about 10 minutes later, who tried to explain that this is Applebee's policy. But no one else who came to sit at the bar had to give the server (Jonathan) the IDs to hold.

Went to dinner with parents and husband on 1/3/04. Service was very poor. They took our food to about 5 different tables asking "Did you order this?". Then the took it back to the kitchen for about 5 minutes. When they returned, my food was cold. My dad's bread came after he had eaten his meal. My mom's food came and was incoreect. They corrected the order and her food came after everyone had finished eating. We asked for the manager. She came and stated that this was not her usual store. She said that from waht she could see, the staff had a "lack of training" She was very rude, but offered us a 15% discount.
My mom asked for the corporate number in Memphis, and she was given the number. We both charged our dinners to our charge accounts. Upon checking with my credit card company online this morning, I notice that I have amounts other than what I authorized. The same was done to my mom and dad. I assume this to be theft. There was a cash tip left for the server on the table. I am highy dissastified with Applebee's service and theft and would like a full refund and a letter of apology. I called the number that we were give this a.m. They took my name and number and have yet to call me back. I have made an online complaint with the Applebees Corporation.
