It’s sad when you order and go pick it up and it’s missing the side and bacon. I ordered the chicken bacon cheddar with broccoli. No broccoli and no bacon hence it’s called “ chicken bacon”. What gets me is the person checking the food. Obviously my order wasn’t checked. Call the restaurant and spoke with the manager Jeff. He was rude until I demanded some of my money back. I won’t be wasting my gas and time to go to this Applebee’s again. I took a picture but not sure how to upload it.
I had the worst experience at an Applebee's ever. It's been a while since we've eaten at Applebee's. When we entered they weren't busy. Very few people there. Had to long wait to be seated, even though 2 girls were talking at the bar. Just let us stand there, so we just picked a table and seated ourselves. Waiter said he wasn't sure that he could serve us since he was busy. He had 3 other tables at the time. REALLY. Once we finally got to order our lunch, it seemed to take the food forever to get there, not 12 mins as advertised. Food was cold, not hot. Had to ask for more sauce on my 3 cheese penne because it hardly had any and tasted like wet noodles. Husband's burger came with about 12 fries, OMgosh, and my mother's chicken was hot but her pasta was cold. She took hers home then gave it to me. Said she would never order it again. Probably will never go back to Marion Il applebee's ever.
Service was slow, food was Awful. What a waste of money. Didn't ask for the manager because I didn't see anyone there that looked like a manager and we really didn't have the time to argue with one about the meal, so we just paid and left.. I will be telling all my friends about this restaurant. Been a while since I've been to an Applebees and now I think I know why. If Marion Il is the best you have to offer then it will be a very cold day before we return to one. After our visit I now know why they weren't busy. Lousy service, and worst food ever.
Visited the Applebee's in York Pa on Sunday Nov 10th with my family. And boy have things changed. (For the worst) In the past the food was quite good with excellent service. Now It took approximately 12 minutes to be waited on with a waitress who seemed not concerned about us. The three steaks were virtually not done. Red. We ordered well done. The green beans were cold. The waitress never checked on us to inquire about our food or a coffee refill. Interesting on Sundays the place was usually crowded in the past. Today it was virtually empty. I wonder why? I don't believe we shall be returning to this establishment.
My grandson and I went to Applebee’s yesterday for lunch. When I asked for a specific booth, the hostess said she would have to ask the waitress. She came back and said it was fine. We were there approximately 10 minutes and no one ever came to our table. It almost looked like the waitress was deliberately avoiding us. We left the restaurant without anyone really caring. Don’t plan on ever returning. FYI if you want to know how the restaurants are doing, go to Chemung County Food Inspections. It will help you decide where it is safe to eat.
Today I went to Applebee’s for takeout and I was very unhappy when I got home. My onion rings tasted terrible. They were cooked in old grease and you could really taste it. Also my barbeque wings tasted the same way. When I have gotten them in the past they were always good. But today’s were awful.
I ordered from a mix and match type menu. I ended up ordering the French Onion Soup and the spicy honey tenders. What a joke for the price!!! I'd rather spend $10 at McDonald's! It was like eating off the kids menu!!! I could count how many fries I got on 3 hands. Those were at least fresh. The onion soup was almost passable. I took 2 bites of the smallest and driest frozen fried chicken tenders. Quality is not there and you should be ashamed of yourselves for your portion size! Over Priced!!! I'll never be back. Like I said ~ I'd rather spend my money at McDonald's or a local small business. Good Luck!
I am never the one to do this. But, here I go. My boyfriend and I just got back from Lexington KY where our son was born. WE had an appointment there. We came back to Ashland which is our home. We went to our local place we love to eat. As we are seated we ask for the most helpful server. He moves us table, as we are gathering our belongings no one is around us besides the server we requested and a lady who has short hair tattoos, and a bandaid on the side of her face is where I guess her eyebrow is done.
As we are moving our server brings us our card and money. We go to pay for our dinner that we took our son to because he had a big day at his appointment getting blood taken and he was so good!! so we rewarded him. As we are counting our money and going to pay, we come up with missing 200$. I call the manager and she says she will ask, she calls me back and says he doesn't have it, and she doesn't believe her staff would do that. Well, okay lady!!!! We shall see in the morning when I file a police report and watch the Cams. :)
When I shut you down, You're Out. I give you a chance to change it, but only one chance. I'll make it short and to the point. The Bartender clipped my Friend for about 30.00. (Never Pay Cash in Here.) Didn't even say they were sorry. Not a care in the world about their customer. On top of that I go in a day later to get something to eat and tell the manager about how they did my friend, and by mistake, leave a stamped envelope on the table and left. Called back, and asked them if they would kindly put that letter in their outgoing mail, and what do think. They said they saw it, but threw it in the trash. Not sorry with that either. THAT WAS THE LAST TIME THEY EVER GET A CHANCE TO TREAT ME OR MY FRIENDS THAT WAY EVER AGAIN. COUNT ON IT..! I gotta give it to them though, They have nerves of Steel. No more for me anywhere they are. One System can and does ruin it for all The rest. SHAME.
Bartender spits and licks cups of customers who do not tip. When management was told of such an offense, they said she has working there for a long time, oh well. This was very disturbing to know. I will not be dining at the Thorndale Applebees again.
I did an online order for Applebee's curbside service. First, we were told it is ready at 12:15pm. Then we got there on time and had to wait about 30 minutes. Then when we ate the food, the steak was undercooked and should have been well done and coleslaw had no sauce, very dry! I gave them a 2 instead of 1 because the ribs were good and plentiful.
First you should know we have in the past thought of Applebee's as one of our favorite places to eat! On Sunday July 14 we got to Applebee's at 12:15 and there were only 12 people in the restaurant, there was food on my seat I cleaned off, our waiter came right away and brought our drinks, took our order. We waited and waited for the salads. Finally asked another waitress to check for us. We got the salads right away but no silverware so we got another waiter to get us silverware. We ate the salads. Customers were starting to arrive 3 parties to be exact in our area. They were all served beverages, appetizers etc and we still had no entrees. When these folks were served their main courses we asked and were told ours should be up soon as they were really busy in the kitchen.
When finally they arrived one was cold, everything, it must have been setting somewhere and he got a baked potato not mashed and his steak was overcooked and tough. Mine was the bourbon chicken and shrimp and was hot and delicious. We shared my dinner and took the cold one home. All to say we were very disappointed and frustrated with the service. Also, it was the very first time we noticed how dusty and unkept the booths were. It just was not as clean as we were used to seeing at Applebee's in Ellenton. Thank you for listening.
I would love to give this place nothing, but it makes you give anyone at least one star. We have been to this location multiple times and have had okay service. Today we went to Crapalbees for a late lunch early dinner. The restaurant was dead and I counted 17 tables including the bar area that had customers. Meaning that it’s not busy! Believe I have the time because we waited 5 minutes to be seated. Then once we were sat it took over 15 minutes until the time we left the restaurant. During this 15 minutes not one person approached us or said anything.
I looked four of your employees in the eyes as well as my wife and daughter wondering why we were not served? That is when I counted how many table are filled. Lastly, when we were leaving I carried our menus up to the front, since you guys needed the help and saw a couple of people walking out right behind us after waiting up front for service. My family will not be returning to Crapalbees anytime soon.
Service fine, way too noisy for my tastes. Ordered their steak. Cooked medium rare, but it required minutes to chew each bite. Not Prime meat. Mashed potatoes mediocre. Green beans overcooked. Asked for for Black Bacardi, none. Cooking just above McDonald's.
***Terrible Managerial Experience**** I stopped in for lunch to get a light lunch. There was a new waitress there. She took my drink and lunch order. I wanted the lunch special classic + signature. The new waitress entered my order wrong and they brought out full order portions. Not thinking anything was off, I ate my lunch but couldn't finish the food. It was a little over half left that was uneaten, so I asked for a boxes. When the new waitress brought me the pay slip, it was about $30. I was like wait it should be about $15 with drinks given the lunch special.
The new gal got a more seasoned waitress to come look over the order and resolve the matter. I explained that my intention was for the lunch special and was being charged full size order. She apologized and said she will need to consult with her MANAGER. The MANAGER made the decision that he will correct the issue if I gave back half the uneaten order. Of course the manager didn't want to come talk to me directly. The waitresses came back to me and broke me the news. I was like "What!". The waitresses felt bad telling me this. They too disagreed with the decision but said I had to give back the leftovers.
I was upset but knew it was just a honest communication mistake. It happens but super surprised how the manager handle it. Taking back leftover food, what message are you sending about Applebees. Clearly the waitress were in uncomfortable situation. I told the waitress not to worry about it. I'm not mad at them. I'll leave the leftovers so they can correct it and tip them the difference. I ending up leaving $30, the leftovers and told them to correct it. Long story - short. empower your waitresses and waiters. Improve managerial decisions training. Thanks To the two waitresses for being professionals about it.
We visited the Auburn, MA Applebee's last night only to find that the menu has changed yet again. Our favorite meal was no longer included in the two-for-$ menu. Looking at the menu we found that everything was now more expensive. My husband asked the waitress if the haddock was fresh or frozen. She said fresh for sure. It was not. He was unhappy with his meal. The service was not very good. When we finished nobody brought the check or helped us with the stupid computer to pay our bill. Applebee's is no longer our favorite restaurant and we probably will not go there again because of constantly changing menus, higher prices on everything, and poor service.
Ate at the Applebee's off Lenoire Ave in Jacksonville, Fl tonight. Ordered nachos. They usually have sour cream and cheddar cheese. This had disgusting queso sauce and American cheese. Ordered a Lagunitas IPA from the only drink menu. Had it listed for $4.69 but got charged for $7.29. When I asked was told the lower price was only for cans and bottles not for the draft... But there were no draft charges listed. They gave me the lower price because there were no cans for the IPA. Disgusting and deceptive. What a winning recipe for a restaurant food chain! I'll never eat at another Applebee's as long as I live.
Ate at the one at Lakeview PKWY Suffolk VA ,ordered a top sirloin fries and house salad. Waited a long time and the steak came before the salad. Fries were cold, steak had a bad spot you couldn’t chew. Bartender could of cared less. I ask her if the salad should come first she said "yea", but I don't know what is going on. Didn't come back until I was done then asked if everything was alright.
There for lunch today. Ordered the $7.99 soup and salad. Salad was fine. The tomato bisque very thick with 4 gummy croutons which I removed. This left me 5 spoonful of soup. Asked the waitress and also the manager about the quantity of soup. They said Applebee’s rule now is 5 ozs of soup Per serving. Ridiculous. Applebee’s has so lowered their standards over the last few years I’ve been going there. The soup today was the last straw.... Won’t be going back again.
We had dinner last night at Applebee's for our grandson's graduation. I ordered the baby backed ribs with honey BBQ sauce and a baked potato loaded. The description of the ribs was that they were juicy and tender, falling off the bones. However, the ribs were overcooked and tough, the sauce was spicy and not honey bbq. The baked potato was not completely done. The toppings were non-existent. Just a spoon of sour cream, a few crumbs of bacon, less than a teaspoon of cheese and no butter that I could see. All toppings were dumped on the end of the potato and very unattractive.
When I complained about the ribs being spicy instead of honey bbq the waitress said they were honey bbq but that the rub used on the ribs was spicy. She offered to get me something else but since I had been the last one of our group served and we had already waited about an hour I just kept the food though I couldn't eat it. I was just so disappointed because we eat out so rarely and I was so looking forward to a nice dinner. We won't go back there.
Was having lunch with my family when all of a sudden the staff started arguing with each other. The whole restaurant heard it. The only 2 people that keep it professional were our server Jeremy and the hostess Breha. Don't think I will be back again.
We used to LOVE Applebee's. They seem to be going downhill. Their specials and up sales aren't really that great... I used to love their 4 cheese mac and cheese with chicken tenders dinner. It used to actually taste like mac and cheese. Now it just tastes like a tangy gravy with absolutely no cheese taste. I'm confused on why they changed it. It is at multiple stores, not just a one-time thing. Their 2 for 10.99 app special is also not what you would think. We ordered the boneless chicken wings and it comes with 4 of them. Not really enough for 4 people at a table. I get the saving $ but seriously. Service is usually great but, but last night was a disaster. My husband and I both drove away last night saying that Applebee's is no longer our favorite.
I've gone to this Applebee's for curbside service several times and I never seem to learn my lesson. Every time we do curbside there are problems. But you wouldn't expect it on Mother's Day. Spent over $100 on to go and I got the Double-Glazed Baby Back Ribs with Honey BBQ sauce. Well when I got my food, my ribs were burnt almost to a crisp and they gave me spicy Texas BBQ sauce.
So I called to explain what had happened and every time I called (a total of 5 times), I got... "Please hold" and before I could say anything they put me on hold. And it just got better. I finally called and asked for the manager and he said that they were backed up and it would be a 30 minute wait for me to get my food re-made. So I said just give my husband a refund. Then my husband came back and told us how unprofessional the staff was, cursing at each other, grabbing fries with unprotected hands and putting them on people's plates, expressing with each other how they didn't have enough cooks in the kitchen. How can you not be fully staffed or overstaffed on Mothers Day? So I will never EVER go back and advise anyone who to take time to go to another Applebee's. It's worth the extra gas to get good service.
Applebee's $1 drinks of the month suck. I was just there. Had 6 of these, and did not even get a buzz. The bartender was cool though, and gave me 2 more on him and he poured a a lot of extra alcohol in them. Word to the wise - don't order their $1 special drinks, it was all sour mix and no alcohol!!! It is all premixed for the drink of the month and a total ripoff to the fullest!!!
We went to Applebee’s and our waitress ignored us for a half hour and the people around us were served and LEFT and we were still waiting and only... only!!!! When my mom said she wasn’t going to tip her because her service was so bad did she finally appear and acknowledge us.
Ordered the best steak. Had to send back it was bleeding and ordered it medium. It was almost too tough to cut. Server was late with everything and not pleasant. My wife ordered the salmon which was ok. Had to wait too long for food.
I order the 6 oz sirloin & added mushrooms. I received 4 mini almost microscopic mushrooms on my steak. I ordered on-line along with the potato soup that was so greasy & disgusting... I couldn't even attempt to eat my steak as my appetite was totally turned off. If a customer is paying extra, make it worth their while. I'm sure they are canned mushrooms, isn't that expensive. If I could tell that they are mushrooms, I'd be able to say if they are fresh or canned. I will not be returning as the past few experiences have been not so well. Food presentation is completely unappealing. Plates are dirty on the rim, you can't take a second & take a towel & clean the plate. I worked in the industry for quite a few & your establishment is unacceptable. Do not insult me with a gift card as that is a total waste of my time.
Last two visits to Applebee's (different restaurants) was the last straw. Rotten lettuce on salad. Waitress said she would let the kitchen know, but did not offer to replace with something else. I honestly did not know that so many others have had their own issues with the chain. We will probably NEVER eat in an Applebee's again.
I was there today for lunch. I ordered a sirloin steak, medium rare. When I receive my meal it was well done. I had sent back to the kitchen and they brought me another one, and it was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. The third time around they finally got it right. One would think that a cook in a professional kitchen would’ve heard of a food thermometer.
The worst experience as a first time food consumer at Applebee’s. First off we ask for a sling for our 7 month old guest who was with it. The ** waiter was too lazy to bring us one so he adjusted the table to fit the car seat. We ordered our drinks and only ** got one and had to wait ten to fifteen minutes for the other one. After waiting about half an hour we finally get our fried looking ** up steak and vegetables that looked like they were burnt to a ** crisp with a melted totally runny all the way melted sour creamed bake potato that look like a bird ** on it. Seriously, how long was it sitting there that the sour cream melted on it?
We were then asked to cut into the fried black steak to see if was cooked the way we like it. ** duh, what are we suppose to use, our fingers? They never gave us silverware at all. After asking us to cut into our steak to tell her that we love ** blackened and hard steak she leaves right away without even waiting to see if we were satisfied like she’s suppose too. Mind you we still are expected to eat like ** monkeys in a zoo with no utensils. Oh we barely got the other drink by the time this all happened. We had to literally get off our ** and ask for something to eat our food with. I thought it was a waitress’s job to give you silverware and a menu.
The grilled vegetables looked charred and like the took an open flame and just dumped the crap in the fire to burn it. A loaded baked potato? It had three little pieces of bacon on it and the sour cream was already looking like melted bird crap by the time we got our food. Guess what? We asked for a glass of wine and was told "that’s not my job". What the ** **? Don't you get paid to get our drinks or do I have to jump over the bar and help myself. Another guess what... No tip left and never again will I eat at that hell hole again.
We got to Applebee's hoping for a fun time with the family. We had never been to this Applebee's and thought we would give it a shot. There are two vegetarians in our family and hoped we would at least find some mac and cheese or breadsticks. We looked over the menu and thankfully saw some mac and cheese (there was also mozzarella sticks and some breadsticks. Those were quite good...). We got the mozzarella sticks first and hoped for the same deliciousness for the rest of our dinner, soon after we ordered a potato soup and hoped for a nice big bowl to share. We got the bowl and it was 5 bites (no exaggeration) and I quote "not the best I've had. Not worth the 5 dollars".
Soon the waiter came to tell us that the bacon was in the sauce of the mac and cheese and it was not vegetarian. After this, we got a breadstick and they said we would get more... (keep reading for later events) We decided to get the "famous apple fritter". Let's just say the best part was the apples on the side. (The apple fritter was pretty good but you could get a better one at a carnival). We had left with one breadstick to share with four people, dry fries, a decent apple fritter, five bites of soup, and one breadstick. I would not recommend this restaurant.
I went to lunch with friends and the service was bad. We order the hurricanes and it was clear, the waiter made all kinds of excuses about why it was like that. Then my husband ordered a beer and the waiter said they were out because it was a busy weekend and they had it on the menu. Too many excuses were given to us. We ordered some appetizers and the waiter dropped one of the cheese sticks and said he would bring out another one, 2 of our friends seen him go to the bars stood there a few minutes and then grabbed a plate and put the same cheese stick that he dropped on the plate. We had to get the manager because that was over the top. I have never had a problem before this incident. Now I will never go back.
We recently had lunch at Applebee's and decided to go for the AYCE Double Crunch Shrimp, Riblets and Chicken Tenders. We were quite disappointed with the Double Crunch Shrimp. The shrimp were smaller, had a different coating, and weren't butterflied like they use to be. I'm guessing maybe they changed their ingredients since the last time we had the shrimp. Definitely won't be having that dish again.
Applebee’s are on the list for senior discounts on both AARP and Discount for senior clubs. You will not be given a discount. What you will get is untruth as to why it’s not usable & a letter from corporate coming off rude stating next time ask for the Golden Discount and call before to make sure the Golden Discount is available. I will continue to go to Denny’s and Chili’s. They will gladly give me a discount meal with no problem.
We ordered and waited and waited for our food. We ordered coffee and never offered a refill. I ordered traditional wings and soup. The wings that came were boneless and cold. The soup was cold. My wife ordered tacos that were cold. I informed the wait staff and asked for a to go bowl and container so I could take the food home to microwave it. We now waited for the to go containers. They finally came and I left to go home to heat my food so I could eat. My wife waited another fifteen minutes to get the check. We never saw management. We were never offered a discount or apology. This was suppose to be a family celebration that was ruined. People all around us were complaining.
Applebee's Davenport Iowa. Increasing smaller portions, and increasingly longer waits. Waste of time. Next time anyone suggests going to Applebee's, I will give my straight up opinion, then promptly go anywhere else. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
We just had a meal at Applebee's in Wilson, NC. My wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken. The salad was just lettuce. 2 croutons and chicken. It did not have any of the ingredients listed on the menu and the chicken tasted like it was cooked with salmon. I ordered the stuffed rigatoni in meat sauce. The meat sauce was burned and the rigatoni was dried and brittle except where the "so called" sauce was covering it. The breadstick that comes with it was very hard. It was evidently cooked in a microwave. This was my first and last visit to the Applebee's. I have been in other Applebee's and the food was much better.
I am a Vietnam era veteran who serve proudly and honorably in the United States Army Military Police Corps during Vietnam. I'm trying, and I mean trying to survive on a social security disability paycheck. I don't have a car. This year Veterans Day falls on a Sunday. I live in Pocatello Idaho. The buses do not run on Sundays. I called the local Applebee's and wanted to make sure that they're having their Veterans Day free menu on the 11th, Sunday. They said they were. They said it was corporate decision. So I called the corporate office.
After much hemming and hawing, I was told that it's an across-the-board corporate decision that the free veterans meal is on Sunday, November 11th. That's why I'm saying that they're paying lip-service to veterans. Someone, across the board, could have it on Monday the 12th of November. Since that's the official government observance of Veterans Day. I know several people who don't have their own transportation and rely on public transportation. Those veterans will not be at Applebee's on the 11th. Along with myself.
We sat and waited 2 hours for our appetizers, then 2 of the people at our table received their salad. The other 4 had to wait. Finally when they served the other 4 we complained about our appetizers. Received them 15 minutes later. We sat for a minimum of 17 minutes (and yes I timed it) to get refills on soda. Alcohol was longer. Our food was served to a table next to us, after they started to eat it we at both tables realized it was our table's and they said it was cold anyway. The waiter came around 20 minutes after that to check on their table and took the plates into the back and warmed them up and served the exact same plates to us! Most dishonest manager ever! He blamed the bad service and the wait for only our table others came and gone while we sat, on the fact 2 kitchen staff was sick.
Kerstin was great! She attended to our needs. She informed us of the day’s special. She frequently checked on us to ensure we were having an awesome time. She also answered all of our questions. Great job.
We go to Applebee’s about once a week and I’m a very picky eater, there’s only two things I’ll eat on the entire menu and one of them is on the 2 for 25$. We love that deal. Anyways I always get the oriental salad. It used to an amazing salad. Always way too much to eat. Brought home a container for the next day. The last two times I purchased this salad it was truly terrible small portion of lettuce and what you could find tasty a bit moldy... I’m done. No more Applebee’s for my family!!! Sorry Applebee’s. You screwed us over twice. We will never eat in there again...
The family went out to Applebee’s and we all got chicken sandwich. My wife ate half of hers and when she got to the middle the chicken was raw. Not undercooked completely raw and had blood in it. Disgusting. Do not eat there.
Took family to Applebee's for a dinner, staff was rude and questioned why my son would only have a appetizer for a meal? He ate earlier in the evening and wasn't that hungry but was still questioned why he wasn't getting a meal. I finally said, "He doesn't have to explain. This isn't court." Then proceeded to ask me how I like my bacon. Well let me see... Cooked! It is a pork product. Worst customer service we ever had. She basically took our order and left. It took almost 45 min for food and it was lousy. This place won't get my dollar again.
Poor customer Service. Me and my daughter went to dinner at the local Applebee's near our home in West Allis Wisconsin at 2865 S. 108th St. in West Allis, Wisconsin. Graduation Weekend, the evening of June 8, 2018, at 8 pm. My Daughter who has a learning disability ordered an appetizer, was confused about the price of the appetizer and wanted to return the appetizer after paying for it with her credit card, only to be treated poorly and embarrassed by the manager on duty, **. Not only was he rude, he smacked his hand down on her to go order and told her because she used a credit card there was nothing he could do about it, threw his hands up, and walked away. Needless to say my daughter was pretty disappointed, that pretty much ruined our experience and we don't think we'll ever visit that restaurant again.
I arrive at the restaurant at 10:30 PM. I place my order drinks and food. It's now 10:45 PM. We have not received any drinks. The waiter kept say she waiting on the Bar. 10:55 pm No Food or Drinks. The party that sat down after us now have their Food and Drinks. It's Now 11:15 pm. Nothing from our waiter at this time. Another waitress walk past and said, "Ya'll still don't have ya'll Drinks and Food?" We said, "No!!!" 11:20 PM I spoke with the Manager Nadia. She was very Rude, Loud and Ask Me, "What do you want me"!! I stated, "I want this service to be look in to and how my service was." I NEVER RECEIVED MY FOOD or Apologize for the Poor service when should have been upset and Rude. She was yelling at me.
Went to Applebee's against my better judgement. Our server doesn't even ask us for drinks until we were waiting for 10 minutes. Initial order was wrong and had to be sent back. Fries were dry and burger was way too salty. And the worst part? I wake up the next day with a terrible stomach flu. I must have puked up 15 times! I normally don't have any issues eating out but this experience was so bad I had to report it!
Let me start by saying the service was great! The food on the other hand was terrible! I had the potato soup which wasn’t all that good, barely had any potatoes in it. It also wasn’t a big portion. I also got a Caesar salad which was good, but a very small serving as well. My husband got the shrimp stir fry and he said it tasted like a frozen meal. What a waste of our money which was also expensive for what we got!
I used to love coming here, but my last 2 visits have been everything short of great. Tonight we waited 45 minutes for an appetizer, & when we got our food it was cold & we didn’t get the complete order. We waited an extra 15 minutes for the rest of our order. We didn’t get refills the entire evening. Disappointed as this is one of the few “sit down” restaurants in this town. Our server was very nice, but the overall service was not good.
We ordered a burger medium (told it would be pink), potato soup, French onion soup, pretzels and cheese. The server took our order and didn't come back till after we had a problem and then was gone till we were out of tea and ready to go. The burger was well done. Potato soup was just cheese no potato, the pretzel was overcooked and had no salt on it. Very unsatisfied. When we told them about the potato soup with no potatoes we were told that,s the way it comes.
Went for a couple of drinks with my girlfriend and had the worst service ever. We sat at the bar and didn't even get recognized until after 10 minutes. Worst part about it was they wasn't busy at all and she walked back and forth in front of us like we wasn't even there.
When I arrived at the establishment, I immediately was unhappy with the service. I had to wait two hours for a ** table. Then when I was seated, I got my food and it was colder than an iceberg. These ** is wild as hell. I am never returning. Do better sis.
3 women went to lunch at the 44th St Applebee's. We all had gift cards. One had somehow not been made active. The GM manager Tony took totally handled the matter so professionally and with great care. The wonderful servicer Jenn was so caring also. Thanks for a really great lunch.
Me and my husband went to Applebee's in St. Joseph location for our first anniversary and it was literally the worst mistake. We orders the 2 for $25 deal, and got wings for appetizer which were amazing BTW. But that's the only thing that was even good. I had finished my bring before the appetizer had been brought out, our server noticed that if I needed a refill and went to get a new one. I wait at least 30 minutes for another drink. She brought my new drink ALONG with the food we order by that time, which was the half rib with fries and garlic mashed potatoes. (It wasn't busy at all by the way) My husband ordered the four cheese noodles with seasoned chicken tenders.
To start off, my fries and potatoes were completely unsalted and nearly cold. The whole thing of ribs was not meat, just fat and not warm. My husband's noodles were way overcook and the whole bowl was filled with what looked like WATER and barely cooked bacon. There was absolutely no kind of cheese on the dish he ordered??? Noodles tastes very plain with no seasoning and the "seasoned" chicken tenders were so small (there were only 2 of them) and barely any meat on them.
We've never been so disappointed, as soon as I finished my cold and gross meal and my husband only took 2-3 bite of his, we were ready to leave. (By the way this is our first time coming here) We took the server we were took and would like to pay and she handed us the receipt and walked away only to return 30 more minutes later while we were waiting with our card already. It would've seemed pretty pointless complaining about the food, knowing we will never come back here. And this is why, when people want to go out to eat and don't leave a tip... it's obviously for a reason and this was a big reason why!! Sincerely a customer who paid $32 of bad service and gross food.
There was a commercial about riblets being back. I went there for dinner for my 44 wedding anniversary. No riblets at 7:30pm. Order tenders basket. My wife order a steak tendera was 4 to order very small cut. My food was served. My wife about 15 minutes later. When we enter restaurant 25 mins. wait with plenty of empty tables. Never seen manager or asst. No meet and greet. Lanes Ave location Jacksonville, FL Feb. 02, 2017. No receipt given. Paid in cash. I use to be in restaurant management. Can use lot of improvement.
Inside, the menu is good, along with service. It's clean and reasonably quiet. Outside, their car side delivery is great, fast and convenient... Just call it in and pull into the designated area and it's brought out to you.
Visited Applebee's during Birthday dinner. Ordered steak on menu 15.99. No size specifications. Server placed burnt stuck to pan juices and 2 small strips of some kind of meat. I asked for manager he came and said “I don’t see anything wrong with it, it looks like 6 inches”. Left the table, came back later and said ”So you never touched it at all”. I said “Nope”. He credited the ticket. I sit there 3 hours with family with no dinner because he refused to take it back and I wasn’t putting that trash in my mouth.
Ok y'all don't ever eat at the Applebee's on Charleston and Decatur Blvd. I asked for a medium rare steak and they brought me a rare one. So I told the waitress and the manager brought the same exact steak back. All they did was throw it on the grill for a few more minutes. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that a health code violation?
I went to have dinner one year ago with my husband at Applebee's, he ordered steak and after finishing it he felt sick all the night. He had nausea and spasms so he decided not to go to Applebees again but the last Halloween I decided to go to have dinner there and I hardly convinced him to go, we had the appetizer first and then l ordered pasta with chicken it was cold and even before finishing it I felt sick and had the same feeling my husband had before!! So this time I decided never to be back again. It was just a scary experience that was suitable for a Halloween day!
Waitress took my order; America burger. She quickly ask how I like my meat, while looking away I said "well done". She walked away. I said wait I want chili cheese on my fries, response ok. Food came. I took a bite into a medium rare burger. I only ate the edges because I had not ate in 5 hours.
Service good. Food was the worst I ever had. From the salad to the burger and don't forget the nasty fries. No words can describe the nasty tasting food I got from Applebee's Spokane Wa. Don't waste your time or money!!!
I came to town here in Lodi California. My sister and I decided to have dinner at Applebee's and with it being busy Saturday night we decided to seat ourselves in the bar, service was really slow! Food wasn't hot and steak was not that great and bar drinks were kool aid drinks, couldn't taste any liquor at all, and menu price was $5.99 but got charged $7.99 on both drinks and Applebee's would not adjust price so I told them I wouldn't be back and they were fine with that.
Our server never asked about how we wanted our food cooked so my daughter called her back. I told her to make it well well done. I'm ok with it being burnt. My meat wasn't even fully cooked. Outside was a light brown but when I looked inside 85% of the center was still red. Also the menu didn't say onions on it because I don't eat them and yet they were on my meat.
Vomiting and extreme sharp stomach pains currently. When we told the manager she took everyone's plates. Didn't even ask if my daughter was finished with her ribs. I will never eat Applebee's again. The noises coming from my stomach are actually scaring me. They took my burger off the bill. However they put the cheaper appetizer in the two for twenty and charged me for the more expensive appetizer as well as the more expensive 3rd meal. But I guess they get to pick what two meals out of the three. 2 for 20 qualifying meals will be in that 2/20.
From actually visiting an Applebee’s in Bell Garden, CA and calling customer service relations; my experience with Applebee’s by far the worst in my life. Anthony at the restaurant has poor service, he’s rude and sarcastic! Mariah at human relations needs to learn what it means to have sympathy and understand situations as they may all not be the same. Know I have to wait to speak to the owners, where in the world is this okay?! Applebee’s human relations said it’s up to the franchised owners discretion on a refund. I will never visit any location and will make sure all my friends and family hear about all this negative feedback and my unpleasant experiences, yes experiences!
Hello. I visited the Applebee's in La Vale, Maryland Sunday Oct 15th around 2-3 pm. I ordered ribs. When they arrived I noticed that they were very dry, so I turned them over to find a dirty plastic cup top. It was a large white plastic top. It appeared that the ribs were taken out of the trash. The ribs were not hot but smothered in barbecue sauce. My Fiancée salad appeared to have pinkish toilet paper in it. I told the manager but she just relieved us of paying the bill. I was nauseated and shocked. I felt like that manager should have gotten to the bottom of how these items got into our food. Applebee's was one of my fiancée's favorite restaurant but not anymore.
We went as a family, to the Applebee's in Medford Oregon. There were 4 adults and 3 kids. The mozzarella sticks were cold, and the chicken in one dish was like rubber, so we sent it back. Another dish was pasta that was almost hard, and so spicy that it was inedible. Two of us ordered hamburgers which were ok, but because the chicken dish was so bad, my daughter sent it back and asked for a hamburger with a fried egg on it as a replacement. When it arrived, it was a barbeque burger, but she ate it anyway because by this time we had been there an hour with 3 kids. All in all it was very far below expectations, and it seems like a trend for this location. We won't be going back any time soon, and if we do, we will order something that's hard to mess up, like a salad.
Went to Seymour Indiana restaurant. The food was terrible. It was cold. The service was also terrible. This is the third time we had stopped travelling at this restaurant and we have had bad service all three times. Never happen again.
Great service. Friendly people. Prompt service. Reasonable pricing. All around experience is always good. Parking can be a problem at times. You may have to park across the street. Restrooms are keep clean.
Went for dinner. Waited while the waiter was outside smoking. Eventually he showed up. Took my order and came back very late. Finally got my food, and on my first drink with it almost empty. He went back out for smoke break again. I had to go to bar for another drink. While at the Bar 5 feet over, they took my food and cleaned the table. I sat back down and the lady continued to walk away. Slightly amazed at this point. Then waiter asked about me needing anything. I did let him know his service was not great. Got a manager and let her know how his service was terrible. She did not like my attitude and immediately pointed out she was a lady and I need to be nicer. She did not want to hear one word about his service. She asked if I needed my check and got it. Glad to see they like to avoid complaints. Applebee's at 39139 Farwell Drive, Fremont, CA 94537.
Service is always impeccable. The staff we have had at most restaurants is always well trained and helpful. But the decision of the FRANCHISE for the MIDWEST is beyond the pale. They have decided to destroy menu items that I have enjoyed for years. The Bourbon Street Steak and the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp are no longer palatable. As are the Blondie Brownies. All restaurants in the Midwest have had their sizzler plates removed from the premises and are not allowed to use them for fear that someone will get hurt on them. This is completely ridiculous as there is a warning given each time the server places the dish before the diner.
None of these dishes can be eaten without the sizzler option. The butter topping on the steak and shrimp comes out cold. The onions and mushrooms come out limp and barely warm, they are not seared and carbonized like they should be and the red potatoes are not hot and edible. They are warm, and one time I got them they were cold. The Blondie brownies cannot be served on a regular plate as the syrup is poured over the brownie and caramelized on the sizzler plate. This is a WRONG HEADED decision by the MIDWEST FRANCHISE. I will hope they change their minds.
Horrible Applebee's service at my once favorite restaurant. Waited 30 minutes for someone to acknowledge my existence in the restaurant, looked around and saw most staff goofing off and paying no attention to me.
My family and I would go to Applebee's, but on June 21, 2017, we were disrespected and treated poorly. The manager ** shouted at us and refused to give his business card. He was talking to another table about us. He yelled at me and told me to leave the restaurant if we did not like this restaurant. I was a customer regularly and the servers know us. I need this manager to be reviewed and he has bad attitude. He shouted out loud towards us and told us we could not ask for business card. The manager must respect a customer and ** did not do this. I want this incident to be reviewed and I will not be going here again and I will not recommend anyone else to go here. The address of this incident is 555 Saratoga Ave. San Jose, CA 95129.
Have always liked Applebee's before, but if this was my first time there, it would be my last. Took a really long time, at least 45 minutes to get our food, and then the French fries were not hot, and the fish was really, really greasy. Had to ask for extra napkins so I could blot the fish to remove some of the grease. Very unappealing. Also, I think they should bring the RIBLETS back! Big loss for me when they took those off the menu.
When I went to this Applebee's at 1776 Eastchester Rd, Bx, NY, 10461 I ordered 6 things. I was wondering why it cost so much but when I got home I realized why they didn't give me the regular menu, therefore, I didn't get the option to order 2 for $20 or 2 for $26. I contacted Applebee's corporate headquarters around 10 times and was ASSURED each time that somebody would contact me and nobody didn't. I took them to small claims court. They didn't show up and I still lost the case. NEVER EVER WILL I PATRONIZE OR GO TO ANY APPLEBEE'S ANYWHERE EVER AGAIN. I don't do business with companies who don't care about their customers! This is one of the main reasons why so many business are going out of business. They do give a darn about their customers. And as for Applebee's their selection now for 2 for 20/$2 for $26 is only chicken which I don't eat. They don't even offer steak on that menu now. Cheap buzzards!
My husband and I went to Applebee's in Appleton, WI for a date night. Our waiter was horrible. He didn't even pay attention to us at all. Kept going up to the bar where his friends were. Never asked us how our food is. We had to ask the hostess for refills on our drinks and another staff for a1 my husband asked for when our food was brought out. I probably won't be going there again. The hostess should of been our waiter and got the tip because he did everything for us.
My husband & I went to the Applebees in Olean/Allegany, NY on Sunday 3/5/17. We arrived at the restaurant about 3:50. There was a group of people who just walked in the door in front of us, so there was a delay in seating us. Eventually the waitress came by and said she would be with us as soon as she could. She said her name was Missy. Right away we noticed she had an attitude when she finally came back to our table 10 minutes later asking for our drink order. I asked if I could ask her a question, but she was obviously put off because she wanted our drink order. By this time it was 4:10.
I finally got through to her that I had a question. I asked her if we could still order the hamburger specials for $9.99 even though it was then 4:10 and the specials ran until 4. She said she really didn't think so. I asked her to ask the manager, and she said she would when we gave her our drink orders. She came back with the drinks and said her manager said we could not order the special after 4:00 as they would have no way of ringing them up!! All the time she was impolite. Then she rudely asked us for our order. I told her to bring the check for the drinks as we were going elsewhere to eat. She told us to go right ahead and we didn't have to pay for the drinks (which we didn't drink anyways).
The whole incident was very upsetting. I don't appreciate rude waitresses... acting as if she knew it all. Never did she offer to have the manager come over to talk to us. Just walked away with an air of authority. Is this really the way two senior citizens (or anyone for that matter) deserve to be treated? The hold up from our 3:50 arrival until she finally got around to taking our order, was totally the fault of the waitress. This Applebees has some very good waitresses (especially Diane who we try to get whenever she is there), but this girl definitely needs some training on customer service and satisfaction. Won't be back, at least for awhile, and I definitely won't let this Missy wait on me again!!
The worst service ever. I want them to close this restaurant down. The manager garbage the servers are trash. It took us thirty minutes to make a drink order. The manager Oniko have has a terrible disposition and a bad attitude when it comes to customer complaints. When my food finally came it was burnt.
Lovely waitress. Removed the annoying electronic box from the table. Drinks and appetizers really excellent. We were enjoying the evening. Did a 2 for 25 meal. The sirloin stir fry was 90% rice and crispy noodles. I couldn't believe how few veggies were in there. My wife ordered fish and fries. The fish had a solid core of frozen, glassy fish in the middle. We asked for a replacement cooked and they came back with another piece of fish - also still frozen solid in the middle. They didn't charge us for the fish meal. The waitress was so apologetic, we tipped her well. But the meals were just not worth the price they charge for them. Cheap stuff thrown together by amateur cooks who don't know what they are doing. So we are done with Applebee's now. My only reason to go back would be to tell the waitress to get a job at a better restaurant. She was really good and wasted in that pitiful place.
Waitress brought us our drinks, we asked for straws, we were informed we had to wait till they roll silverware to get straws. Waitress said the dishwasher was lacking in Washing dishes. We waited 30 mins for them. And the whole time we could see the silverware sitting there waiting to be rolled. Waitress came to ask if we were ready to order, I said yes, and she then rolls her eyes at me. She kept forgetting what our drink order was. So it took 15 mins to even get our drinks, another 30 mins to wait for straws. The waitress had no customer service skills at all. We were very unhappy with our visit. And no manager was to be found to make a complaint. This is at the Temple, TX location. Her name is April.
I can't remember the exact name of the Asian salad served in the 2 for $20 menu but I was unable to eat most of it. When I order a salad, I expect fresh and healthy ingredients. Instead, most of the salad consisted of thin Asian noodles and chicken surrounded with way too much breading. A disappointment.
Applebees in Jacksonville NC - We had a server today Jessica. She was at the bar. She didn't even introduce herself. She just came over. They were not busy at all as we came around 1:30, the lady at the bar was our server and only had a couple as her table. She took about 10 minutes of us sitting there before she even came to ask what we wanted to drink, we didn't want to wait so we ordered our appetizer through the little tablet on the table. She came over grabbed our drinks after waiting 10 mins and then didn't even bring our appetizer to us or check on us after that until we clicked on the tablet for our check.
We were there for 30 mins. She brought was too busy laughing and taking care of the purple at the bar. She had another table next to us and had a male server grab her drinks while she continued to talk to the couple at the bar. Needless to say we got our check and left very displeased. We don't usually go to Applebee's. We always have a bad experience.
We visited Applebee’s in Hickory, NC on Dec 31, 2016 for supper at approximately 8:45 pm. Ordered large appetizer plate and both of us ordered bourbon street chicken and shrimp with spinach and artichoke dip as our addition appetizer. The appetizer came out and just had started eating them when our main course arrived within 3 or 4 minutes. This never happened before. It always takes time for them to cook chicken. We noticed the cast iron plates were not sizzling like normally are. They were just barely warm. I even touched mine and told my wife I could touch it. The butter wasn't melted and runny but coagulated on the plate where it is normally on the shrimp. Shouldn't have eaten it but we ate our appetizer and ate a little of our chicken and it was dried out and I ate all my shrimp. BAD MISTAKE!! We took our leftovers home and put in the fridge. By that night I had made 4 trips to the bathroom with diarrhea and the next day I was throwing up.
I really got hit hard the next day. Couldn't eat anything but at 4 in the morning running to bathroom every 10 minutes with watery bowels that lasted all day long. It hit my wife later than me by about 4 hours. She made it to work and was throwing up in her work trash can because she couldn't make it to the rest room. She thought she escaped the diarrhea but when she got home it hit her and we both have been sick for 3 days. I keep saying we will never go back to Applebee’s. Maybe this was our wakeup call. It’s like they were preparing food in expectations of a big crowd for New Year’s and they didn't show and they were serving old reheated food.
My family were going out to eat after church - Applebee's happened to be our choice. The first 10 minutes were fine (even though they were taking a while just to get our drinks) until the food came. It was first the appetizers then the main course. My father, mother and I had ordered steaks (All Well-Done) - two with baked potatoes and one with mashed. They all were ordered with a side of broccoli. The waitress comes with the first plate of food which was a well-done steak with mashed potatoes and a side of you guessed it... FRIES! Of course my father complained and asked for broccoli, but they refused to take the plate back and replace the fries - instead they brought a side of broccoli on a separate plate. The other two plates were my mom's and I. Mine was fine, my mom was brought a rare! No big deal. My mom called the waitress back to take the food and get it cooked to well-done.
The lady came back and to our surprise it still was RARE. Literally nothing changed - she asked the waitress "Does this look well-done to you and she replied, "Uhhh, no. Here, lemme call the manager." So, the manager comes and my mom asks her as well and she replies, "Well - it looks medium." I could see the anger on my moms face grow ever more. The manager pays for my father and mother's plate. The entire time I had been drawing Batman saying "I said Well-Done". I put it on the edge of the table and we left. The first thing my brother did when we got home was... (you guessed it) have diarrhea. Trust me - the customer service was terrible.
My son placed a curbside order on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at the Elmont, NY location and when he brought it home it was horrible... Unfortunately this is not the first, second or third time but it will definitely be the last. I guess your question would be "why do you go back". Well, we try to give them the benefit of the doubt but that proved to be a mistake.
We ordered steak medium rear, mashed potatoes and broccoli and three cheese pasta with grilled chicken. When we got home and I took a bite I just wanted to puke. The medium rear steak was dry and harder than a hockey puck. The broccoli was not cooked and had nothing and I mean nothing on it. The three cheese pasta was less than a child's portion (1/2 cup if not less) and dry, minus the three cheeses. We would have gone back and demanded our money back but it was raining and we were very frustrated and tired and to top it off we could or find the receipt. We wound up giving the food to our dog but he just ignored it and walked away. Needless to say, I threw it in the garbage. Applebee's in Elmont will NEVER get our money again.
Not a fan of Applebee's but was in the neighborhood and decided to give them another go at making something good to eat. Disappointed yet again and I doubt I will ever return. I'm not one for sending food back and I didn't this time either but should have. I ordered the sirloin as well as did my husband. I ordered mine as rare as humanly possible or "blue rare" because I know sirloin can be extremely tough if cooked more than that. Came to the table medium well... toughest steak I ever ate and left most of it on the plate along with the gristle and fat.
I think Applebee's may want to stay with their appetizer menu and bar food and leave it at that. I suppose being the only "sit-down" restaurant in my town (Warrenton, MO) they may think they don't have to please but based on that meal alone I will never go to any Applebee's anywhere. BTW, there was no hostess on the floor so we sat ourselves and caused a bit of confusion when a waitress noticed we had sat down without a server. She was extremely polite and located a server for us immediately which was very nice.
This happened at the store 133 address: 10601 County Line Road, Spring Hill Fl 34609, where the general manager is **. My family and I went to have dinner, we were a group of 9 people with 4 little children, between 1 and 10 years old. First the waitress brought our drinks 15 min. after we ordered them, then the food came at 5 different times, 1st 2 grown ups, then 3 grown ups and the latest to have their meals were the children, YES THE CHILDREN. Of course other tables with American people got their food 1st, despite that they arrived after we did. On my group of people there was only one American guy, so of course they served my table last. This attention at this restaurant No. 133 is terrible for Hispanic people, I don't know what happens with other international ones.
To all the Hispanic community, don't waste your time going to this place, since you are going to have a terrible experience. There are a lot of other restaurants around like Pizza Villa & Restaurant, Thai Cuisine, Beef 'O' Brady's, Copacabana and hundreds more. Please pass this message along so other people Hispanic and non-Hispanic don't make the mistake of going to this Applebee's store 133.
I and guest went to Applebee's for dinner. I got death sick on their sour cream and started throwing up before we left the rest. We told the waitress and got sick from the food and they did nothing and we still had to pay for the food even then I couldn't eat because it was bad. The only thing I throw up was the sour cream. I called the next day to the manager and she did nothing to refund our money for food we couldn't eat. Very bad customer service.
My wife & I attempted to take our family out to dinner, so that we could celebrate our granddaughter's 5th birthday together. We arrived at 6:40 pm & I text my daughter at 6:53 pm to let her know where our table was. They arrived within 3 min & the kind waitress took everyone's order 3 min later. The drinks arrived quickly. The appetizers arrived 25 minutes later, along with one of the granddaughter's meals. My daughter's shrimp meal arrived 5 minutes later. My wife's shrimp meal arrived 5 minutes after that, but it was incorrect & returned (never corrected). At 7:55 pm the waitress said that our food was almost ready & would be there shortly. I told her that we had ordered an hour earlier & that it was time to speak with a manager.
She said that she would make him aware of the situation. The kind manager came to our table in a timely manner & apologized for the delays & agreed to comp our meal. I thanked him, but asked if we could get it to go, since everyone was tired & wanted to leave. He said that he would have to see if the food was ready (?). At this point everyone was ready to leave, but I got them to wait just a few more min. The waitress returned & apologized again, which we greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, everyone said they would prefer to go next door to Bojangles now. Other customers around us was complaining too and another on the way to the car. A couple waiting to be seated heard us complaining & left. Horrible way of doing business!!!
I placed an order at the Maysville, KY location yesterday. I was working in Lexington, KY and heading home to West Union, OH. Maysville is midway between there. I have ordered here many times. I placed an order from my phone. I ordered for a later time due to driving time. I estimated a 6:00 pm pickup. I arrived at 6:21 pm and went inside and let them know I had a to go order. I was told it wasn't there. After about 10-15 minutes of confusion between the young employees running back and forth talking among themselves, a manager came to me and said he had cancelled my order. I asked him why he'd do that. He said they received a call to cancel the last order that was placed. I asked why they'd do that without asking for a name, number or the order confirmation number and just cancel someone's order. He kept making one excuse after another then said, "My bartender told me she did get the confirmation number so I cancelled it."
I told him that was dishonest as I was the ONLY person that knew I'd placed an order so there was no one else that could have cancelled it. He said, "I wouldn't lie." I said, "I wouldn't show up to get my food if I cancelled my order." He then blamed the bartender, saying he'd had issues with her before and she had lied then. That still makes no sense, why would this lady claim I cancelled the order to get out of doing work, knowing I'm going to show up to get my order. He eventually made the order for free and gave me a $10 off coupon for the next visit. There won't be a next visit though. Their excuses were nothing but lies because none of it adds up or is logical to the situation. They just simply didn't make the order or they gave it away to someone else.
I only came to Applebee's to order the Blondie Brownie. It took a long time to get it. When I did get it I see they don't use the sizzler anymore. The Brownie was cold from the brownie to the sauce. My God Daughter and I sent it back. The manager did come over to hear what the problem was. It was sent back out, but took a while to receive it. It was fine until you got halfway through it. It became so hard that it was crunch and you could no longer cut it. You had to pick it up and bite it while listening to the extra crunch sound. I assume the cook overheated it too long. Maybe, that's what we get for complaining. We decided that this was a waste of money. We went out our way to enjoy this which, we always bragged about to other people. This was a terrible experience when you're in the mood for dessert.
I was at the Hiram, GA location on 9/24/16. We waited an hour for our food, the waiting staff told us the cooks walked out and quit. So the other employees from the waiting staff was cooking the food. By Saturday night the food poisoning hit me. I've called the corporate office only to get blown off and told that someone would call me. I've called the franchise company Neighborhood food group only to get voice mail. It's been 4 days and not a soul has called me back. So being sick for 4 1/2 days and being blown off. I went to the doctor and got it confirmed that I have food poisoning. So these employees that were cooking were probably not trained in how to get the food cooked correctly let alone to the correct temperature.
I would give it negative stars if it was possible. Had a rude manager experience. Wrote a complaint to corporate. Was told I would get a call. Never received a call. It's been about a week now. I had to reach out to an area manager who was also very rude. And then the manager I filed a complaint on called my job and tried to get me in trouble because I filed a complaint against him. I have lived in Gainesville almost my entire life. Used to be a dedicated patron of Applebee's. However after the all around lake of respect and honesty from this company and the way they treat their customers I will be telling all of my friends and family in Gainesville Ocala at UF and the military bases to NEVER EVER go to Applebee's!!!
On Monday September 12th, 2016 I went to the Applebee's in Lino Lakes. I was looking forward to a healthy Chef or Cobb Salad. All Applebee's had was 4 trendy salads: Thai Shrimp Salad, Fiesta Chicken Chopped Salad, Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, Oriental Chicken Salad. I complained to the manager and she did not even know what a chef salad was. However to her credit, after I gave her a description of what a chef salad was, she had the kitchen did prepare me a passable chef salad. I will not be going back to the Applebee's again and urge everyone to boycott this look a like chain. Support your local restaurant like Bistro La Roux, Matthews, Apple Garden or Anne's.
I had just sent in a statement about their mix/match lunches. They have A LOT of CHICKEN on there. When I was there I had asked waitress if I could substitute something and was told no... A plain salad over a chicken one would have been nice and probably cheaper for Applebee's. I contacted AB and the reply sent was automatic and said they will contact you in 3-5 business days. I got nothing!
Day 11, I sent ANOTHER email stating this was my second email. Still NO REPLY!! I just wanted someone to acknowledge my email. I'm not asking for anything but just thought maybe they could add other food than chicken. Grilled Cheese or why couldn't I have the plain salad from the other section? I do NOT eat CHICKEN. Pretty sad that they couldn't even reply! I keep getting emails with specials but nothing in regards to my comment. That made me upset!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Does NOT make me want to go back. I was just making a suggestion at first which turned into a complaint!
I hate to even say this about Applebee's on Harding Place in Nashville Tennessee but my husband and I went there this Saturday, 4th September, the waiter took our drink order and brought the drinks back with no problem then we ordered our food. When the food was brought to us my husband's chicken was burnt, my daughter's steak was overcooked. She has to have it medium and it came back hard as a rock. We had them both sent back. When my husband got his chicken it actually made him so sick that he had to go to the bathroom and throw up. The service was so bad we will never go back there again.
We took a friend out to eat at the Southtown Applebee's in Bloomington, MN. The appetizers were good. However, the food was something else. My entrée came out five minutes before the other two in our party. So I had to wait for them. In the meanwhile my food was getting cold. I ordered my steak medium. When I cut into it, it was well done. The food presentation was terrible! I ordered a side of macaroni and cheese and a side of fries. It looked like they had just dumped everything on the plate. The steak was underneath the fries which were underneath the mac and cheese. My wife ordered baked potato with her steak. The baked potato was so cold it wouldn't even soften the butter, let alone melt it.
During the last four weeks I have been at Applebee's restaurants in Green Bay, Manitowoc and Sheboygan, WI. At all three establishments the credit card scanners had very dirty screens that were smudged and full of fingerprints. I think these screens should be wiped clean as each table is cleared to prevent the spread of illness and germs. There were small pieces of food and bread crumbs on the bases of these scanners. At the Manitowoc restaurant only two forks were wrapped in the napkin. When my daughter and I were served our dinners with chicken we had to ask for knives. Our server brought one knife and we had to ask for a second one.
We were told by the server that they didn't have enough knives to wrap them with the forks. At the Sheboygan restaurant my daughter and I ordered the spinach/artichoke appetizer that should be served hot. It was served at barely room temperature. We asked to have it served hot and it came back at about the same temperature. We talked to the manager and she told us that the previous week they were having trouble with one microwave. We then ordered a different appetizer. A discount was given on our bill but it will be a long time before I go to another Applebee's restaurant.
It's been a year and half since I have been there, now I know why. My husband and I Sat down and ordered our drinks. We had coupons which the server let us use. Well we ordered our appetizer and later the server decided to bring out 2 forks and 2 dishes. Well the dishes were not used, they were dirty from dried food on them. Then the server kept coming back and getting my husband his drinks. After the 5th time and me drinking my husband's, because I was not offered any more drinks, my husband had told the waiter I needed drinks. Our dinner came and all the silverware we were offered was our forks and a steak knife for my husband's dinner. Nothing else. We are so dissatisfied and never will take anyone there and I won't go back to that place. Mt. Pleasant, PA.
I took my husband out for a nice dinner for his birthday. We decided to sit at the bar. There were 2 bartenders taking care of the bar. So one of the girls came over to ask what we wanted to drink. Then it took her awhile to come back to take our food order. She was really busy talking to one of the guys at the bar. The other bartender was busy braiding one of her coworker's hair. Manager oblivious to what was going on. Well we finally got our food and my husband's fries were ice cold. We have been there several times but this was the last time we will ever dine there again!
Went to the Applebee's located in Tigard Oregon with my adult son and daughter in law about 5 pm July 27th. Our waitress was a smalls brunettes. She was fairly friendly to my family but completely ignored me as if I wasn't there. I guess she thinks when you get old you are not a person. Never looked at me and said one word and was extremely rude when asking if anyone wanted a box ignoring my request for a box. Finally did bring it. I usually don't complain about service but felt this was over the top. You might tell the little snip that the elderly are still people. I will never go to an Applebee's restaurant again.
On Monday 7/18 my mother who is a senior citizen took her two grandsons to dinner at the Lynchburg location on Old Forest Rd. After almost 40 minutes of not being served she decided to leave since one of the boys was sick. She was chased out of the restaurant by Robert Crews yelling that he was calling the police because she had not paid the bill. First of all their food had not been served to which he replied "well it's in the kitchen." My mom stated that her grandson was ill, they had taken entirely too long and she was leaving. Once again she was threatened with the police. She instructed him to do what he needed to do. She was taking her sick child home and would be back to finish this matter.
As promised she did return, and now Robert didn't want to talk in from of his customers, but had not problem threatening her in from on customers and young impressionable boys. My mom even offered her phone for him to call the police. Never once showing any respect for his customers whom I might add frequents the restaurant at least weekly. He didn't apologize nor provide her the name of his superior when asked. This man is a DISGRACE to your company and I will write every board, blog and review site until this situation is properly addressed. He needs to be reprimanded and also made to apologize personally for his abhorrent behavior. This is unacceptable.
My family went to Applebee's at 6727 Tara Blvd Jonesboro, GA 30236 on Saturday night, July 17, 2016 around 8:30 pm. The hostess was rude from the moment they arrived. They asked to be seated and told her they were expecting a party of 13 people. At that moment, only 9 were there. She told them I can't seat you until all have arrived. I arrived around 9:00 and I informed my family the others were not going to be able to make it. The hostess was gone from the front for 5 minutes. She was notified when she returned, all was there. She said, "Ok". Then she ask the next guest who was walking in the door, "How many are with you?" She sat them and return to her desk where another 5 people were standing.
Another family member went to notify her again that all that was coming was present. She said in a disrespectful tone, "Ok, I was sitting someone. I'll get to you". She finally told us to come on. I was standing in front of one of the tables talking and she said, "You need to move". I told her she needs to watch her tone and her attitude. She said, "What did you say? I need to watch my tone & attitude." I said, "that's what I said." She said "you can leave." At this point, I was truly upset with her disrespect. I told her, she can shut up talking to me. She responded, "I ain't gotta to shut up, you can make me." I respond, "Whatever **!" I turned around and started back talking.
She went to the back and a minute later, the manager approached me walking up really fast and said, "WHAT". I responded, "I didn't ask for you." He said, "yeah but you called my employee a **." I said "I did because," he cut me off and said "you can't call my employee a **." I responded, "as a manager, you should not be approaching in a manner saying "What" and not asking the customer," he cut me off again and said, "You can't be calling her a **. Ya'll all can leave." I responded, "I can."
I admit I should not have allowed a stupid person to bring me out this type of behavior. I should have stepped back and immediately asked for the manager. However, based on my interaction with the manager, **, he approved of her disrespecting and treating customers badly. Most professional managers would have managed the situation different. They would have walked up greeted the customer and advise that he was informed that an incident happen and his employee advised him she was called a **. "Can you let me know what happen?"
He should have apologized for his employee disrespect and her role in escalating the situation but advise the customer calling the employee a ** is not acceptable. Telling everyone they could leave was senseless. After I left, the manager told the waitress, "they leaving. Don't serve them." Then, he had the police come in and sit by my family while they eat. It took their food over an hour and it is no telling what he did to their food. I am requesting to speak directly with the Corporate office regarding this incident.
On May 21, 2016 my friend and I dined at the Applebee's on Rivers Ave. in North Charleston, SC. We ate and talked among ourselves. We enjoyed our meal. I had a frozen daiquiri and she had two Long Island Iced Teas. We ordered the 2 for $25. I ate my meal there and my friend took her meal to go. The check came and it was my treat. Our total was approximately $51. I paid with my debit card and put $2 down as a tip. Bear in mind, I was treating for the meal. My friend was going to leave the tip. As soon as I sat down the $2, the bartender named "Jason" disappeared from our sight. Moments later, he returned and handed us a sangria. Neither of us had ordered. So initially, we were taken back but thankful. His exact words to us were, "Here ya go! I made it extra crappy for you."
In his absence, while he was making the "drink", my friend had already picked up my $2 and replaced it with $10. Thus, we left more than a 15% tip. We were on our way out, bill paid, proper tip left; when he slide the free drink to us. We shared the free drink. The other bartender named "John" came in front of us and wiped the counter. He addressed my friend and I saying, he didn't have to do that. We thought he was referring to the free drink, in general. It was not until about ten hours later that we fully grasped what had happened. We had been poisoned.
On May 22, 2016 at approximately 6:30/7pm, my stomach was in knots. Suddenly, I could not get comfortable. Moments later I found myself running to my bathroom. I could hardly get my pants down before everything that was in me, filled the commode. I was in terrible pain. I was dripping in sweat. My heart was racing. My bowels had never felt so irritated. I was not able to do anything that required me leaving the bathroom. I was not able to feed my kids or put them to bed. I defecated for over eight hours with no relief. I did not sleep that night. I attempted to call my friend but she did not answer.
It was not until Monday morning when we spoke to each other. Much to our surprise. She had suffered the exact same symptoms, at the exact same time. That's when hindsight kicked in and we realized exactly what "Jason" meant when he told us the drink was extra crappy. Now we knew why "John" said, "he didn't have to do that". Suddenly, it all made sense. Jason the bartender saw the $2 and assumed that we had short-changed him. He then went and put either a stool softener or laxative in the free drink.
I Immediately contacted the Applebee's manager who not only did not believe us, he didn't even do an incident report. I had to research a phone number for Apple Gold, Applebee's corporate office. We gave our statement to Paul ** and was told someone would be in touch with me. That same day, "Monica", an insurance adjuster from Zurich did contact us. Again, we gave our statements. We were told an investigation would be conducted. We trusted that the truth would prevail but after 30 consecutive days and two different insurance adjusters (Monica was taken off our case and reassigned to Henry **), we were told the event we were speaking of never happened. We were told that the verbatim conversation we had with "Jason" and "John" never happened. We were told we had no proof. Then, the insurance adjuster offered me $300 to drop it.
In no uncertain terms, I told the insurance agent what he could do with the $300. I made it very clear to all parties involved that I will never let it go until the truth comes out. I will tell everyone what happened to us. I will post this story on every blog and every social media website. I will not rest until justice is served. At this point, it's no longer about the money. It's about morals, ethics, and integrity which apparently are not requirements to work at Applebee's.
Every time I get close to an Applebee's restaurant I stop and I always order the riblet platter. Today was a shock to me, I was told by the waitress that Applebee's does not serve the riblets any more. My wife and I walked out. I will never go there again. I called headquarters and was told by the lady that answered the phone that Applebee's did not serve the riblets anymore. She said I could order the baby back ribs for a small fortune. The lady said that she didn't know why the riblets were taken off the menu. I know one thing for sure, I will never stop there again unless they start serving the riblets again. One other thing, I do know for sure and that is I won't be stopping there again.
On Tues 6-14-2016 approximately 12:15 PM Our company visited the Applebee's restaurant in Muncie Indiana. It took well over an hour for our food to arrive and when it did it was not even satisfactory. Due to time restraints we figured we would suffer through it and eat it anyway. Our waitress spilled water on our boss and towards the end of the meal spilled salsa on my white pants. When we arrived back to work we contacted both the assistant manager and the manager who stated all they would do is pay for dry cleaning my pants. On Wednesday I called the corporate office and complained they stated they would be back with us. However, as of this morning Applebee's have made no effort to compensate us for the horrible food and service.
My fiancé and I frequent the Applebee's on Northfield and Rockside in Bedford, Ohio. I've finally had enough. Quite often during the week between 5-10pm there is barely anyone in this place. Maybe five table of customers. The servers are slow as molasses. Last night it was more crowded because of the Cavs game and the server was just as slow. The waitress move like there's nothing to do. We didn't get menus, had to get up and get those ourselves after we were seated. She brought over utensil for me because I had to ask her for it but didn't bring my fiancé utensils. I cannot even begin to tell you all the things that are completely wrong with this place. Love the convenience of the location but I will have to drive 20 miles to go to another one.
A co-worker and I went to lunch at your Altoona Iowa store, and we both ordered a tea drink. They were outrageously priced over $3 each. This is money that I will not spend at your establishment ever again. I can go to a very nice Steakhouse (Johnney's Italian Steakhouse) order lunch, with a beverage included, for only $10 per person. Your store needs to change their pricing a bit to compete with others or you have lost my company's and my personal business. I think a tea drink or coffee or even soda pop, especially at lunch time should only cost a dollar or maybe two.
Took my daughter-in-law and granddaughter for her 4th birthday to Applebee's and was shocked at how the company tried to add money on the tab. First, I would like to say the service was excellent and the food was very mediocre. A lesson in portions and presentation is greatly needed. The company puts a small computer on each table, which was mostly ignored because my granddaughter had some gifts to open, but at the end of the meal she was interested in it and was messing around on it. I saw she was playing a game. I immediately thought, that is a great idea to supply something for kids to do. An incentive to bring your family to Applebee's. Wrong. The company charged the tab for games played. What the hell? If they are going to charge you, they should tell you before the kids get hold of it.
Next, since we just had a birthday celebration, whatever happened to bringing out a token dessert with a candle and the employees singing a quick happy birthday? What no one does that anymore. They asked if we wanted a birthday dessert for her and I said, sure. It didn't make it out to the table, but there it was on the bill. They are going to charge for a four year old to have a birthday dessert? I had them remove both items they tried stick on my bill and will not return. Going to a restaurant now is very different than just five years ago, it is all about mediocre food and making an extra buck off the customer.

I know very well of one hardest working woman at a Applebee's in Philadelphia, PA. She works for 12 to 15 hrs at a time for this store with no lunch break. She can't snack on their food not even a carrot. She works other people positions because they up and quit. No 15 minute breaks because they keep hiring people who don't know how to do their jobs, so she fills in for them. She went to Cordon Bleu Culinary in New Hampshire. With high Grades she went for what she could find and it's Applebee's she gets. They see her work effort and what do she get? Men who won't promote her and she teach other men how to do her job and they all get a pay higher than what she makes. Which she is promised and never see. These people then all leave the company, but she stays hoping for this raise.
She is a single mom and have no one in Philly to help her with her child, so paying out of pocket keeps her in the red. I don't appreciate Applebee's and their treatment toward hard honest working women and the day they see themselves losing more customers than getting customers; maybe they will wake up. Not from Philly, but this particular place is a really bad example of corporate greed and sexual bias. I was told not to give the place address for this girl could be fired so I won't. But Applebee's you need to take on a more caring attitude toward your female staff. Maybe you wouldn't have such a big job turnover every year.
I ordered car side service on May 1st, 2016 and when I got home with it, it was not the Applebee's. It was not the food I was used to from Applebee's. My son does not like Applebee's and I have always backed them cause I love their food. After Sunday night when I ordered from Applebee's I will not order anymore. I spent over $27.00 and it wasn't worth $5.00. The steak was dry and it was well done and I order med. well. I will not be back. Applebee's on 320 S. Ridge Rd., Wichita, KS 67209, phone 316-942-0070.
Went to an Applebee's on Arena Drive in Largo Maryland and they did not have anything I could eat on the menu but I requested to have one of the meals put replace the chicken with tomatoes. Leia ** was the manager who cooked it to my expectations. It was delicious! And it looked great as well. Thank You Applebee's for being able to serve me at this time. The waitress was awesome named Phallen. Thank You!
Slow service at the Applebee's in Brooklyn by Gateway Mall. Also when my food came 40 mins later it was like cold! The waiter was all over the place, didn't feel welcome.
This was the most disrespectful establishment that I have encountered in a long time. This is my hometown and our family decided to meet up at this particular one since our suites were close after burying my mother-in-law. Our waitress was great she just needed help with a party of 30. Some of our party was at the bar and so some migrated to the bar. As we were mingling with other friends and relatives, a waitress by the name of Kaitlyn was coming by to assist other customers stated rudely and loudly "Excuse me!" We allowed her to come on by, then came by again with less professionalism as before and then proceeded to say we need to move and go to lobby to socialize. I then stated that we were drinking and talking with our family and then she continued to be combative and very aggressive. I requested for her to go get her manager. She refused got her purse and walked outside after I shouted that she was rude and disrespectful.
I am 44 years old and have never been disrespected in that manner especially by the help. She could have come back in there with a gun and shot me but she was never asked to leave or to remove herself. She continued to flare up the situation that ultimately almost came to violence. This kind of ignorance and disrespect will not be tolerated at all. I have not been compensated for my dinner or either one of our family members for this rude and scary incident. I really think she was racist.
First – 2 for 1 drinks very limited, so you order a beer and get 2 served instantly. The 2nd is warm before you finish the 1st. “Sorry that's our way.” Order the cowboy special burger, always the mainstay. “Sorry it's discontinued.” Ok just give me a burger with raw onion and plain fried onion. Can't you got to get the fried in batter pieces of onion. No exceptions. We want those crispy onions. “No longer available just these dipped ones.” All menus now are computer changed and controlled. No requests accepted. All around us the poor waitress were frustrated explaining “You have to have it not what you want, sorry about that.”
There now is a small table mounted computer to play games on for a charge. You can also use it to have a copy of your bill emailed home. No @ key on it so you ask the server for your total bill. It's got no prices, just total, tax and 20% tip. You pay and don't know what the drinks etc. Cost total $50.00 for a couple, 2 drinks, and two burgers with what they wanted us to have we the paying customs. I live in a community of 2000 homes and the blogs will be full especially changed from our last month’s report of Applebee’s. There are within 5 miles countless restaurants , diners and places that all – yes all will give you exactly what you desire on your burgers and sandwiches and ever drink will be cold. Goodbye Applebee’s.
We had Zoey. She was a very good waitress. Was very attentive, got our drinks every time we needed it, did not have to ask. Was very nice. Excellent job at everything.
When we went to Applebee's Grill and Bar we had a horrible dinner. First of all they gave us 3 orange crayons and a green one too. Then we got our drinks. Then they gave me french fries instead of mozzarella sticks. Then we eat and I got extra food but then we saw our waiter laughing with other people at the bar. Someone came after us. SERVED... WE WAITED 1 HOUR AND A HALF TO GET FOOD. THEN WE GET A BILL when we didn't even receive our food steak and chicken tenders. We didn't get our appetizer!! At Delaware Ave. - never go there or be dissatisfied there. Left 2 of us hungry because of this experience.
I hate Applebee's and I'm glad I didn't get a steak or... It would left 3 of us hungry (I was starving) also we didn't leave a tip because of horrible people. Only 2 of our waiters were nice (3 waiters). One man gave me the wrong order the girl couldn't serve us. ALSO the waiter gave us 4 knives and 4 forks for 3 chicken tenders and a steak. She looked disappointed when we didn't want our food. Maybe the bar is where we should have ordered but we couldn't go. Bye bye. :(
We had decided to go to Applebee's in Jamestown, ND for date night! When we were greeted by our server we realized it was someone that does not like either one of us. BUT. This was not an issue for us, as we are both adults and we did not go there for issues. We went there to enjoy the very little quality time we get to share with each other. And despite all the issues we ended up having, we were still polite and respectable.
Well. First things first, the server did not bring the drinks, apps, entrees, or second drinks. They were all brought to us by different people. The server had one other table. She also disappeared for over 20 minutes. The apps and entrees were brought to us by a manager. That manager did not ask how anything was or if we needed anything to go with the apps or the food. So there we Sat, until we both were ALMOST finished with our meal when our server finally reappeared. So needless to say I was stuck eating the boneless wings I had ordered. That came out with the wrong sauce on them because I was not going to wait another 30 mins or so to get the right kind made up and brought out to me. But, I also did not complain about that because as I mentioned I am a server as well, so I feel bad complaining about anything and just dealt with it. Maybe if she would've came back to check I would've mentioned but she did not.
Then it was time for the check. She finally brought it to us. We put exact change plus a tip in the book. She came to take the book, and asked if we needed change. We said no, as we were sick of waiting around and that was one more thing we were going to have to wait for if we needed change. So she took the book and disappeared into the back. Which to me was odd, she did not stop at the nearest computer to close out our tab. That being said we did not get a receipt, so we finished our drinks and left. About an hour later I get a call from the police. Saying I walked out on my tab and that if I come back and pay now they will not press charges on us.
Needless to say there we went, back up to Applebee's. We were grilled by the cops. They did not believe us! I proceeded to go through a play by play of what happened, from the bills we left her to the fact she randomly disappeared into the back and we did not receive receipt. After about 30 mins of dealing with the cops not believe us, the officer is like. "So if I go check the tapes I will see you putting cash into the book". We said "Yes you will." So they go back into the restaurant. 20 minutes go by, so there we wait. Then the manager and two cops come back out to speak to us. I guess the server had found the money, "It had fallen out of her pocketbook." And the manager handed us our money back and apologized for the whole ordeal.
The cops obviously did not seem to really care, just pretty much said "Sorry for wasting your time." But I am not at all pleased. I work three different jobs and I finally had some time I could spend with my boyfriend who also works a lot, and like an hour and half of that time had to be spent getting grilled by the cops and accused of a crime we did not commit. And all we got out of it, was our money back. And nothing is happening with the server that had tried to pocket the money we gave her for the tab. Even the manager on duty, and cops both thought it was very sketchy that when they actually went to look at the tapes, then the money randomly appeared.
Ordered 10.99 appetizer during happy hour. All signs in restaurant indicate 1/2 off during happy hour. Get the bill and shows 10.99. Ask waiter to change bill to 1/2 off. He said that appetizer did not count. Ask him to show me where that appetizer does not count. He said he couldn't and he would have manager change it. What a piss poor way to run a business. I was upset with the false advertising. Had a similar problem last year while ordering wine during happy hour. Not a good honest place to go for dinner if every time you have to have the bill corrected. I am tired of being played the fool at Applebee's. I will Stay away from Foothills, Yuma, AZ. 85367. They are not honest and upset your dinner experience.
I called in a curbside order for an Asian Peanut Salad. It came to our car quickly, but the portion was so small I could see much of the bottom of the take out box. This was a meal salad. Being very disappointed, I went inside and asked if this was the correct portion. The hostess did say they had changed the portion sizes, but took it back to the kitchen to double check. They threw about 3 more pieces of lettuce on it. I paid $12.00 for a salad that was suppose to be my meal. It wouldn't feed a 10 year old girl. I have had huge salads for cheaper other places. I have also had a salad at Applebee's being seated inside and it was much larger. I had to go home to eat again, and I am not a big eater. Very disappointed and tired of giving Applebee's chances. I will not return.
The food was terrific. The service was great, but your website really sucks -- impossible to navigate. After an hour of going round and round, I never did find what I was looking for -- the address, map and directions to my local Applebee's. Very bad for business. I am new to the area and if I can't find it online I can't go there.
I like Applebee's and the dependable variety that comes with their menu so I decided to dine here on my first visit to the Tullahoma area. I waited 20 minutes for drinks that I ordered as soon as I sat down as well as 20 to order. (I actually checked my phone so I could make sure I wasn't being unfairly impatient.) After an hour with still no food I asked to speak with a manager because a member of my party was going to have to leave to get back to work without having had their food. The manager apologized and offered to comp the food. I told the manager what we heard about their lack of service prior to coming there and her response was: "Oh, we know. It's all over Facebook."
One would think I would heed the many clues I was already given, but no, I stayed anyway. I had ordered an alcoholic drink (also made incorrectly) to start so when our food arrived I ordered a tea. I received the drink but no straw. Not wanting to waste more time I decided to use the straw from my alcoholic drink. When we had eaten the manager made a last visit asking if the food had been okay. Well I asked for a medium burger with a fried egg and I got a well done burger with an over easy egg -- so not really, no. I have, however, received nourishment and I'm ready to go so if I could just get a to go cup I will be on my way. The manager brought me a cup, also with no straw. I preceded to pour my tea into the cup and use the same "alcoholic" straw I had used with dinner.
Upon walking out I was stopped by a different manager who said I couldn't leave with the said cup that the other manager had just given me. Inquiring why, I was "told" that I poured my alcoholic drink into the cup. There hadn't been any alcohol on the table LONG before the cup was brought to me to pour anywhere much less into a cup. As a manager unless you see something with your own eyes you had better get the facts before making an accusation because you are expected to set the standard or service your staff will adhere to.
Having had it by this time, I explained that no, I had tea in the cup which I was glad to show her. The manager commented that she had to check because the straw I had in the cup was for alcohol. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE MANAGEMENT. If one manager validates the rumors of bad service and the other manager accuses before asking, then put together they are still just singing "If I only had a brain." Reading the reviews online now I can see that indeed the manager was right, "It is all over Facebook." I sincerely hope somewhere, somehow this corporation finds out about this place and saves it before it's too late.
Service is slow as it took over 20 minutes to get an order placed through the server. Food delivery from time of ordering took almost 30 minutes, but the restaurant was less than 35% full. Food was lukewarm and tasteless. This is my third similar experience at this Applebee's in two months. It is my last visit until my friends tell me it has improved. Seems like the prices get higher and the food quality and portions get lower as time progresses.
Went to Applebee's in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Menu showed a picture of 4 different choices (for the 2 entrees for $26). We chose the steak, mac/cheese, mixed veggies as in the photos. The server then said we had to pay $1.99 extra for mac/cheese. This was odd because it clearly showed entire meal 2 for $26. The steak was supposed to be 8 oz. It was dried out and small. The mgr said they weigh it out at 8 oz, then cook it so it's served smaller. I am paying for an 8 oz steak so why is it less than 8 oz when it gets to the table. We ordered a raspberry iced tea and strawberry lemonade. They were both watered down. We had problems trying to find the server. The restaurant was not crowded. Will never go back. It's a ripoff!!!
The service at Applebee's is awful. The server is always missing in action. The food is dry and bland. I had to leave my table and locate someone for a glass of water. The restaurant was freezing cold. Therefore, our entrees got cold quickly. I asked for manager (Tim) he never appeared. This is the third bad experience in a row. Goodbye Applebee's. Your food and service SUCKS. The restaurant isn't crowded and the service is slow.
We arrived and we're greeted properly, we Sat at the bar ordered drinks and the bartender was great. We were given a table at the windows farthest from the front door. We were waiting for 1 more person to arrive so our waitress was very nice and gave us time. Being a party of 7 people that was nice, we ordered (pic of receipt) and waited what I thought was a long time even for 7 people 20 to 30 min for appetizer then when that was removed we waited for 41 minutes for main course to arrive BUT WAIT we got two orders then 12 minutes we got 1 more order. At this time, a waitress (Marisa) passed and I asked her why our food was not coming out altogether, she got mad when I asked her to explain where our food was and turned while I was in full sentence and walked away (RUDE IS ALL I CAN SAY). She walked around to the other side of the bar and had a conversation with the manager who came to the table next.
When she arrived she already had an attitude, she asked what was the problem. I started by telling her we have been sitting here a long time waiting for our food 41 min and now we get 2 dishes the 1 more in 12 min so while waiting for 53 minutes we still do not have all our main dishes while I was telling her this more but not all of our dishes came to the table. I told her this was unacceptable and while I was explaining the fact that I was not happy she turned and started a conversation with my daughter about what she had ordered. I said, "Excuse me I was talking to you," she just blew me off. I then got a little louder and explained that that is exactly what her employee did to me, her comment to me was, "Can you see we are busy?" I again said to her that is not an excuse and before I could get it out she got loud saying the kitchen was backed up and doing the best that they can.
Well let me explain 1 thing to you I am a commercial plumbing manager and this whole exchange was unacceptable for 1 employee and 1 manager to get mad that we did not get our dishes together. i. e. The last main dish hit the table 68 minutes from the time our appetizers were cleared from the table, I don't know about the owners of this restaurant but I could be safe in saying they would not be happy if this was their table. I would like to know the outcome of this email PLEASE once it is looked into! THANK YOU.
When we arrived at Applebee's, willing to new things we ordered with no problem. Took 20 minutes to sit. As we walked to our table I saw several other booths open. Then why did it take 20 minutes? Once our salads came we realized we never got our silverware. I am a big flirt. However I wasn't flirting with the waitress. She kept putting her hands on me. The lady I was with said I was rude because I was flirting with the waitress. I wasn't C-man. The problem was the waitress couldn't keep her hands to herself. It caused a big fight with the lady I was with. I just felt violated. Y'all's waitress needs to learn to keep her hands to herself. ** weirdo. I probably will NOT go back!
Applebee's in the Bayshore Town Center Mall Milwaukee is the biggest bad joke of a restaurant in town. We go in and are seated. Ok so far. But then nearly 15 minutes goes by and no one even comes close to our table to take our order. We are completely ignored. So we walk back to the hostess and say "No one came to take our order". She looks at us with a perplexed expression and says nothing. We walk out the door as she sort of shrugs. The chance of us ever returning to this sorry place: 0%.
I went to Huber Heights Applebee's, first off, the FLOOR was so GREASY we slide. It was wet outside so we thought it was just the water, so we took our seats. The server was very good. Our food came out and was COLD, and the buns were soggy from the meat. They were so overstuffed with tomatoes that they also added to the soggy buns. The fries were cold, it was just a horrible meal. Our server was gone by this time, she must have got off. We told another server and they took so long to come back we just decided to leave. My friend had to use the restroom and so did I. She went first and when she came back out she told me she didn't think I should go in because the floor was so GREASY, she had to hold the sides so she wouldn't fall down. She said it seemed as if they mopped the floor with the same mop as they mopped the kitchen with because of how slippery it was.
I had to go to the bathroom so I went in with caution. She WAS NOT KIDDING, it was so greasy I had to hold on to the wall so I wouldn't fall. It was gross. When I exited I told 2 people about it, they seemed like they just didn't care and said "yeah I know". When I got back to the table we were discussing that if the bathroom and main floors were so bad the hygiene must really be bad in the rest of the place. I called the next day and talked to the manager gave him my receipt information, he said he would get back to me. HE NEVER did. I called 2 other times and talked to not only him, but his asst. manager. They NEITHER one got back with me as they said they would. That was the end of OCT 2015, it's now JAN 28, 2016. I will never go back. I also tell all my friend about this place. They should be investigated, they could really make someone sick, and I'm sure they have!
My husband and I ate at Applebee's in Shirley last night January 14th 2016, we had a waiter by the name of Timothy R. He was an amazing waiter, very personable. He made suggestions on food that he thought we would might like and if we didn't care for it he even said he take it back and get her something else. Everything suggested was incredible, I am never eating at Applebee's before but from now on when I do, it will be at Applebee's in Shirley with Timothy as our waiter because we've eaten at restaurants like Peter Lugers in Manhattan New York and didn't have service like we did last night.
We went to the local Applebee's on 3139 Miller Rd. Flint, Mi. I had a gift card from my teacher Secret Santa. I've been an Applebee's customer for over 20 years. We sat at the bar... which was covered in water. The bartender **... blamed my husband for spilling the water when we sat down. Then said "I'll get your drinks once I get the waitresses their drinks." There were no waitresses waiting. Troy orders a vodka giblet and told her he wanted Grey goose vodka with rose lime juice... She said "shut up, I know how to make it." She brought my beer (Michelob Ultra) then made his drink with a premixed lime juice. It was horrible.
Then when we went to order food we asked her if an entree contained lemon... When I told her I was severely allergic to all citrus... she said "I don't know. Why does that matter!?" Then we asked for a manager. The manager was nice. She said "I can't guarantee that it doesn't". The bartender would not take off the lousy drink from the tab. I was generous I gave the bartender a 1.00 tip. She deserved $0. So for the crappy vodka giblet and my Michelob Ultra our tab was 11.39. This comment is going on my Facebook page.
My family, including my children (9 & 12) went in for dinner. Apparently there is a new jukebox system there. While our family was eating, the song l.m.l.y.p by Ween blares over the speakers right over our table. Please Google the lyrics parents, you be appalled. I immediately told the greater of the problem and he sent the manager over. His response was "I'm sorry about that but we can't control our music" and that's it....really!?!?! You just blasted nasty, sexually explicit filth above my kids head and that's it?? We were mortified and had to sit our kids down after dinner and explain how inappropriate that was and they shouldn't have heard it. I'm just amazed by the lack of concern or customer service by the manager. I'm so HORRIFIED, I contacted corporate so we'll see how that goes! BTW, we spent over $50. Sad they wouldn't even offer a free appetizer or comp something for the repulsiveness we were subjected to.
Recently had lunch at Applebees. The little wireless screens they have at each table are not only to streamline billing. If you navigate through any of the screens you will most likely be charge $1.99 for a game you didn't play, want, or even realize until the bill shows up. The move is a new low.
Your restaurant is horrible. I went to the location at West 16th avenue, Hialeah Florida yesterday 11/23/15 around 4:15. Then host took me and my family to a table and told us, "The server be right with you." 5min went by and a girl server and a guy kept walking next to us and looked at us and didn't stop to see if we were getting help. I told my mom "You know what, they're not even busy. That's so disrespectful." I'm a server, I work for Ruby Tuesday for 7yrs now and I really thought that my restaurant was bad since we have a 30 second rule to greet people. But back to the point we got up and were walking the door, the host went by us and didn't even ask why we we're leaving and not only that, your server tell the other server "Oh 61 is leaving" but don't even ask why. So sad to had walking to a horrible restaurant after coming from a long day.
My son ordered a child’s steak and was told he couldn't have it medium rare and the waitress was very rude and manager offered to try and do it for our son but I didn't like the manager’s or waitress’ attitude about it. So I walked out and I will never set foot in Applebee’s again ever.
My husband and sons took me to dinner on October 26, 2015 for my birthday. The host was rude, he didn't give us any info on specials or anything. Then my son told him we'd prefer to sit at a different table and he didn't like it. Then the waitress that we had my other son told her it was my birthday. She took our order after taking it to five other customers. Never kept our drinks full. Then we had to leave, brought our bill up and never anything for my birthday. She had told my son it was a dessert you get for it. I never got anything. Applebee's here in Kennewick disappoints us every time we go eat there. That is not good because soon we won't be going anymore!
Went to an Applebee's at Green Acres mall in Valley Stream and had repeated issues. EVERY time I go there and I request the check and pay them for the food, they NEVER give them my correct change (they KEEP my change and give me solid bills (5, 10's, etc.) and a single or two). So, I'm thinking, this waitress has a lot of nerve for not giving me all of my money back and then EXPECT me to give them a 15% or higher tip. Why should the waiter feel free to keep my change when I did not give them permission to do so? In response to this, I subtract the change they took from what they gave me which will amount to me giving them 15% (which they don't deserve for taking my change without my permission). They want to coerce the customer into giving them large tips.
I'm NOT a cheap tipper. On average, I give them 15%. If I don't, it's because the service was great (I increase tip) or it was lousy (tip gets decreased). This is FAIR. No one should get a decent tip if they don't do the right thing. I'm never rude to the servers. After all, they are serving me food and I don't want them to do something awful, like spit in my food. You have to be careful when people are serving you.
This time, I'm DONE with them. They, knowing that I subtract the change, they take a part of the tip to make up the 15%, now serve me poorly. The food on my plate looked as if it was thrown around. I looked at the person across from me who ordered the same thing and there was a BIG difference. They had more food and the food was proportioned correctly. This practice is dishonest, unethical, and needs to be corrected. I'm telling as many people as I can about this restaurant. Something needs to be done.
My family and I ate at Applebee's about 3 times a week back in the 1990's and it was very good food. Well my husband and I ate at Applebee's on 10/16/15 and not only did the menu change and I understand that be the selection was not only limited but the food was very undesirable. For example, my husband's ribs were very overcooked and dry. I had a chicken dish and was very disappointed in the taste of it. I do want to say that our waitress was very sweet. I just wanted you to know that the food sucked and I don't think we will ever eat there again just for that reason. Thank you for your time.
I place order 2 times. When I arrive my order not ready. I end up for 1 1/2 hour. Poor management poor customer. Server so rude.
In October 2015 at the Applebee's in Emmons Ave, Brooklyn, NY, my friend and I went there and ordered the full rack Barbecue ribs, we started eating the ribs, when we realized that one side was completely charcoal. We must have eaten maybe 5 or 6 ribs before seeing the other side. I called the waitress to tell her that it was unsafe to eat meat that way, she did notice that it was burned. She took the food back and came back with the manager, **. She was completely disrespectful, she started counting how many ribs we ate so that she can get order us exactly what we had left. I just could not believe that reaction from a multi Franchise restaurant chain like Applebee. She was not professional at all. I used to own a restaurant, it was no way how to handle a customer. She definitely needs a little more training, because the chain just lost a loyal customer and some of my friends just for a few ribs. It was so petty.
My boyfriend and I sat down for an early dinner at the Applebee's in Chico, CA and the service was terrible. It took the waiter forever to acknowledge us, take our order, and bring us our check. There were only about 6 other couples in the entire restaurant so there was no reason for the long delays. Each time he brought our drinks, food, and check he never said one word to either of us! There were flies buzzing around our table and the couple in the booth next to us said her food was burned. I couldn't get out of there fast enough! We did not leave a tip and will never eat at another Applebee's again. Their sanitation and service leave A LOT to be desired! I was completely disgusted by the whole experience.
Manager at st. johns, MI restaurant - Omg, I have never seen such disrespect in public as the way the manager talked to a server who was a young lady, in my life. I was in there eating my lunch and all I heard was a short heavy set manager yelling at a server and sending her home. Very unprofessional and uncalled for and this is not the first time this gentleman has done this. I enjoy their food but management needs an overhaul.
We live in the neighborhood. As of now there are not many options to eat out. A few times when we were too busy to cook, we went to Applebee's. The experience keeps going from bad to worse. Each time we tried to give that place another chance, we were only disappointed to the point that we won't be back. List of issues: Cleanliness, if you can call it that. All tables are sticky to the touch. They need to be properly cleaned. Menus: disgusting sticky to touch, dirty, spilled on and torn, a real turn-off appetite killer. Food: gets served not properly heated, both soup and chicken inside oriental chicken salad were cold on more than one occasion; you have to fear salmonella poisoning.
Wait time: even when the restaurant is almost empty, it takes more than 10-15 minutes to get a server's attention, service is extremely slow before food and when you wait for your empty dish to be removed and for the check, everyone just stands around and walks slow. Noise: music is way too loud, even after we requested three times to have it turned down, it didn't happen. One-sided choice of music, mostly black soul and hip-hop, harlem is no longer predominantly african american. It's changing fast, you need to go with the times.
Note that there will be new restaurants opening along with the new shopping centers that are being built in the area. Applebee's Harlem might as well close down its business if they don't up their standard.
There is a sanitation bucket with a dirty towel. It just sitting in the counter by all that food. The floor is disgusting. No wonder all the food there is always cold. They have time to play games in front of what looks like the manager. This is unbelievable to me.
Applebee's, Jamaica, NY, Wednesday, 09-16-2015 at 8:00 p.m. Total $46.00 Serial#: ** - I experienced really disgustingly unprofessional customer service from a black female manager Eloise at Applebee's, Jamaica, NY. She had an attitude when the server asked her to replace my daughter's food because it was cold, the fries were not seasoned and the food did not taste right. She took the food that was on the table and did not say what she would do and walked away. I called the server, asked why the manager took the food off the table we rejected as the food was in a plastic container. Because initially I was afraid to complain but as I was leaving realized I had to because my six years old daughter was so disappointed with the food's outcome she did not eat it and I did not want to be cheated out of my money. My concern was that the manager would simply reheat the same food of which my daughter did not like.
The server returned saying the manager said it would be a fresh batch. So we sat waiting from 8:35-8:53 pm - waiting for the food, to pay and leave. No one stopped by to check on us, nor offered an apology. Then the manager emerged, slapped the food on the table in a plastic container and sped off. I quickly said "Excuse me" twice then she returned. I asked if it was the same food, then she picked the food up, held it in her hand, then slapped it down again and said "This is absolutely a fresh batch." While I was there I wrote an initial review of this at Applebee's website but was compelled to write another review after I got home and saw three evidence that the food was the exact same meal we had rejected. My daughter ate one and a half shrimp, I ate one and the portion was the same as before and the half shrimp was still in it.
Third the fries were not seasoned and the waitresses brought out fresh seasoned fries which were in the container the manager took. The fries I took home were not seasoned, so the manager took out the fresh fries and gave us the old fries instead. She kept us an additional 18 minutes just to reheat the same old rubber food that did not taste good and lied directly to our faces. After seeing this evidence I was outraged at this manager's absolute reckless and unprofessional behavior. It was not the cold and lackluster meal, nor the server, nor the delay with the drinks, nor the cold appetizer, it was the horrible and bad customer service provided by the manager Ms. Eloise that ruined an otherwise peaceful ambiance of the night.
My husband and I have three children and rarely get out alone. We made time to go to Applebee's and have dinner. We were looking forward to a nice relaxing meal without the three little ones. The meal was delicious and the drinks were tasty. We had never played the Applebee's game they have set up at every table so we decided to pay the fee to play it and have a few more drinks during dinner. Little did we know that our server had other plans for us. We felt rushed for the moment we sat down and didn't know exactly what we wanted to drink. He seemed irritated that we didn't know what we wanted after we were sat and he had to come back. Then after getting our drinks and bringing them back to us he seemed ever more irritable that we didn't know what we wanted to eat and had to come back.
After we placed our meal order we started playing their game and drinking as we continued playing and drinking after the meal. Our server never asked us if we wanted another drink, dessert or anything. He just came over and dropped off our check. My husband and I kind of looked at each other in disbelief. We were finishing up our round in the trivia game we were playing and the waiter came back to pick up the check that we hadn't even pulled out our wallet for. He decided to stand there and wait for my husband to pull out his credit card and give it to him. He then went and paid the bill with the card, therefore our game had been canceled because it was paid for... we planned on having another drink and we planned on playing more, but the server was just something that I still can't wrap my head around. Horrible customer service. Now I know next time when I want to chill with my husband where I can't do that at.
I will not be a customer to Applebee’s any longer. Last week, I registered a complaint with Applebee’s Corporate Office (David) to inform them about the inadequate service that this location (Greenburgh, New York) displays. Point given, they are always out of product - Beer, Food, broken refrigerator, serving beer in hot glasses, out of glasses, the food is in poor quality when brought out from the kitchen, and when brought to Management's attention - they don't care. In fact, one Manager on duty (Anthony **) at the time told me on one occasion that "It be that way sometimes." I informed Corporate that it is the servers and Bartenders that gave that location great service that exemplifies the greatness in protecting the Applebee’s brand name, and bringing loyal customers back to that Restaurant. Sadly to say, The Management Team at that location lacked Professionalism and Moral Dignity for its customers.
Today, I received a call from an (Area Director) Kim ** for this Franchise (Not Corporate Restaurant) who asked me what was the problem. I stated my complaint as mentioned earlier in this message. To my surprise the Area Director stated to me that her Managers will never talk like that to a customer. My response to her was that I am not a liar and would not arbitrarily make this up. She then stated that "are you the person that orders salad," and I stated yes. Kim ** then stated that she is sorry I feel that way - that she does not want me back at their Restaurant anymore. My reply was “No problem. I will take my business elsewhere.”
I called Applebee’s Corporate Office, and again filed another customer complaint reiterating the aforementioned. They stated that they were shocked, and that they will further investigate however, this is a franchise, and they have a right to refuse service to anyone. (Sounds Like The Jim Crow South All Over Again.) To be honest, I came there because I have met some great people at this location, and have made friends as well. The place is a cheap, dump, broken Restaurant that never have 100% what you ask for. Out of beer, the refrigerator is broken, out of certain foods, out of certain glasses, out of this, and out of that. What they should be is out of Damn Business. Point Blank and I give them one year from now or less that this come to past.
So, I will NOT be back there ever again, and I will take my business back to where I belong - White Plains real Business Establishments. I have sent this message to all of my business partners who are calling, telling me that they are in total shock. They are also going with me to other establishments that treat their customers with dignity and respect.
Just ate an Applebee's hamburger. Well, not the whole thing; could not finish it! I decided to try one on Monday to get the $6.99 special but unfortunately, it was barely worth $1.99! It was suppose to have bacon and onions (and cheese)... well it had cheese! But the onions were little tiny bits of onion not worthy of a Big Mac! Where were the whole slices/rings of onion???? And there was more bacon in a small cup of bacon-bean soup made from Campbell's condensed soups than in this burger... NO whole pieces (or even half pieces) of bacon at all! If anyone pays full price for this horrible burger ($11.95 I believe), they have a lot more money to waste than I do! P.S. The service was SUPER!
Went into the Applebee's on Newberry Rd in Gainesville Fl, sat at the bar and started to use my iPhone and could not get any service. Tried to connect to Applebee's wifi, still could not connect. Asked the bartender if they were having trouble with the wifi. He told me that there was no service for iPhones only android. I told them "that sucks" and got up and left. Will never go back to that place, and will let all my friends not about this service.
Me and my sister went to the Applebee's in Fountain Valley and it was the worst service we ever experienced. First we got there, took forever to get someone to help us. Took almost a half hour for our food to get to our table (and I had to ask someone why is it taking so long). Took another fifteen minutes. I should have known. The customers at the front of our table were complaining about the waitress. Should have left. When the food got there it was cold. Yuck. Then, we received our bill. Asked the waitress for a box to take home leftovers. While I was preparing to pay bill my leftovers to take home were gone. Unbelievable. Never going back there.
Placed an order to go. When I arrived no order for my name, had to wait. When I got home and opened to go box order was less food than if I had ate at restaurant. Called and talked to manager, was sent two $5 gift certificates. Very disappointed that was the best they could do. I ordered full order of riblets and only got three small pieces. Not going back very soon!
We had been to the Applebee's at Lake Mary on a Friday and the food was pathetic. The server was rude and impatient. Even after being specific that we are vegetarians, we were not informed properly about our order and we were served meat burgers!!! We ordered a mushroom Swiss burger (nowhere was it mentioned that it had meat nor the waitress mentioned about it, though we specifically told her we are vegetarians).
After we got the food, my hubby had a small bite of it and the taste felt quite different. So when we asked the waitress, she coolly said, "Yes, it has meat in it and we don't do anything without meat." How arrogant! She wasn't even sorry. We felt extremely bad and it has hurt us very badly, we being vegetarians since birth!!! The side order was also pathetic!!! Not fresh and tasty! The Friday night's karaoke is a real torture!!! Please, for god's sake, stop being frugal and stop the karaoke!!! Never again I will go to this restaurant.
Last night 8/10/2015, I frequented again the Tewksbury, MA Applebee’s since I am a regular customer at the bar area. I am not a drinker and just order iced tea and water usually with some clam chowder. I enjoy talking with the patrons and like the atmosphere. I was outside in my car and listening to music when suddenly an employee came out and informed me that I would have to leave the premises or the "cops" would be called. I said I would turn the music off and she said “okay!” Melissa was the manager on duty at the time. I decided to leave anyway. I called the Tewksbury PD and spoke with a lady and she advised me that I could file a complaint. I decided not to at the time.
Today on 8/11/2015, I stopped there for lunch and was immediately approached by Rene (a manager). She mentioned to me that I was not really welcomed there and that I should just finish my clam chowder and water and then leave. I said that I had given Applebee’s a lot of friendly visits and that if she wanted the police there that I would call them. She quickly departed and politely said that I am welcome to stay and frequent Applebee’s.
Then tonight also on 8/11/2015, I stopped by Applebee’s again for something to eat and was immediately approached by a Mr. Aric ** at the bar where he informed me that I was not welcome again! "Many" was the bar tender and is a witness to this order. I informed him that I would leave and call the police which I did NOT. I left the "Home Depot" parking lot and went home only to be greeted at my condo parking lot in Lowell, MA by the Tewksbury PD shining their high beams in my face while trying to back my car into the parking space. They approached my car and I got out and they served me a "Notice of Trespass" issued by Mr. Aric **, the manager on duty at the Tewksbury Applebee’s.
I said that I would never again go to that Applebee’s and that I would find another place out of Tewksbury to visit. I also mentioned that I would tell all my friends what had happened to me tonight! The police left. I am a former USAF military officer and pilot during the 1970's and have NEVER been treated like this EVER since I left the US Air Force. I always try to do the right thing and am very respectful of other people. This experience was very unfair to say the least!
My husband and child went to the Applebee's on Scenic hwy in Snellville, Ga this week as a mid-week treat. It was around 3:30 p.m. and the restaurant was not very busy. My husband ordered the bourbon steak, I ordered the bourbon shrimp and chicken and our child ordered a cheeseburger and fries. My husband and my meal came, we ate, and 5 minutes after we finished our waitress came out hurriedly with a hamburger smothered in cheddar cheese. No fries. All the time we were waiting, she stayed in the back so we weren't able to question what was going on. We refused the burger and asked to speak to the manager. We express our dissatisfaction to her very calmly but firmly. She left to get the manager, but came back saying the manager had reduced our bill. He never came to the table! Worst dining experience we have ever had!
This was my first time to go to this place. They were very crowded. I felt I was at a fast food like they bring you food and expect you to eat in 10 min and leave. The silver wares were nasty. You have to wait on your own waiter. They hardly come and check on you. My friends and I were very very disappointed. I would advise anyone to go to Old Chicago and other restaurants.
I live in Edna TX and I went to the Bay City TX Applebee's restaurant to have an evening meal. We were seated. My family was waiting For the waitress to take our order along with drinks. In the meantime there were several others seated and served drinks. I finally got aggravated enough to get my family up and leave the restaurant. I took them down to another restaurant for the meal before driving approximately 50 miles back home. I will not go back to this restaurant. I was very disappointed.
Me and my friends ate there. We had to wait 5 min for to bring our drinks and another 10 min for they bring our food. The forks and knives had old food on them. We ask for new they still had old food on them. Health inspector need to come like asap.
I won't eat at the Applebee's on east market Harrisonburg VA. I heard their cook don't take baths and I guess the only way you can get a job there if you are illegal immigrants with no papers - the general manager will love to hire you.
We had a fabulous experience at the Applebee's in Yuma, so we thought we would give the one closest to home (Prescott, AZ) a chance. How disappointing! It took all afternoon to get a simple lunch. The service was so slow. We thought they had to go buy the ingredients; the salads were pathetically poor quality old lettuce and too many stems; the chicken in the oriental salad was overcooked with excessive coating. The orders of fish and chips was so greasy. It could not all be eaten. Even the green bean crispers were bad news their being too greasy and apparently made with mushy frozen green beans. It was certainly not the birthday treat we had aspired to. It's no wonder we prefer to eat at home!!!
I ordered the only thing on the menu for dairy & gluten allergies (awful menu for allergies) & asked for a medium steak & two potatoes because I couldn't eat the vegetables. The steak was raw... literally. Awful meal & no choice. Done with Applebee's.
I contacted you last month about poor service I received in Ashland KY at a Applebee's. The manager called me and spoke about the problem and said she would make things right by sending out coupons to compensate for the poor service. And here it is a month later and I have not received anything.
My husband and I stopped into the Applebee's on gateway in Springfield Oregon last night. The bar is open seating and was completely empty. The hostess handed us menus as we entered the bar. After that, we were never acknowledged again. Ten minutes went by, a manager and 3-4 servers stood giggling and flirting at the end of the bar. Completely ignoring my husband and myself, the only two customers sitting at the bar! We never did see the bartender before we just got up and left. That's the second time in 6 months I've been offended and not served well at all at the same Applebee's location.
The time before that when I was there, the pregnant bartender had an emotional break down and needed to step outside for a moment. THE SAME MANAGER that did such a good job ignoring us last night, got behind the bar to fill in for the young lady and he inappropriately complained about her to my husband and myself. Saying things like "she's pathetic" and yelling over our heads to another employee "I need to get someone in here who can handle it."
The only two times I've stopped into that Applebee's location the same manager made the experience horrible. The first time he acted like it was a crime against humanity that he had to step behind the bar and work for a few minutes. This last time he just didn't step in and do anything. He left customers just sitting no drinks or waters or even acknowledgement we were there at all for over 10 minutes. I've been in customer service for over ten years. The service at the Applebee's on gateway in Springfield OR (in the bar) is HORRIBLE. I wish I would of got the manager's name. I'm thinking of calling today and getting his name..
Went to Applebee's located at Chantry Square Shopping Center, 2755 Brice Rd, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 (614) 755-9999. The service was very very poor, the waitress was not happy to work that day, the food was very poor especially their burgers. I couldn't eat mine and so my son. They charge my son for regular burger instead of the burger from the kids menu and I didn't know that they charge my son for the game that he started to play. Applebee's needs to work on their menu's selection and stop charging for everything. It was just a nightmare for me and my family. I will never go eat @ that Applebee's as long as I live.
Ordered a $11.00 Fiesta Chicken Salad that looked nor tasted like picture or description on menu. The chicken looked liked minced clams and tasted like crap. This is the second time this has happened to me and I definitely will not be going back there again.
Call in order to go was to be ready in 15 minutes but took 35 minutes. When I got there I waited 10+ minutes before anyone appeared. My order included bourbon chicken shrimp that looked so disgusting. I changed the order. After another 10 minute wait the rest of my order that had been sitting at the register head now cold. After I got home I discovered the burger was dried out and the buns were burnt and the fries were cold. The service at Cedar Hill, Texas location is very, very, very awful. Won't go there again. Spent $40 on a meal I couldn't eat. Too tired to go back so I let this review speak for me. Don't go there!!!
Our party of 15 arrived between 4 and 5 PM on Sunday June 7. We were to celebrate birthdays of 2 of our party. Call ahead - reservations had been made, but when we got there, none were found, so we waited a while for a table to be set up. The restaurant air conditioner was broke, and the heat was unbearable, so we left.
I called a car side to go. I was right outside. The lady said they do not have car side. I said OK then I order my food then I went and paid. Got home and my 1 steak was burnt. The other was medium rare. No cheese on my broccoli. My mash was watery and corn was horrible. Call me for the rest coz there more to say.
Service was bad to begin with and slow. After an hour I had to ask for my food. It was getting late and all my friends had either left after paying or were waiting for me. After finally having to ask for my check she puts somebody's else's dessert on my table. After telling her for the third time that I wasn't paying for something I didn't order she told me that she forgot to put it on the person's table that had already paid her and left and that I had to pay for it because she made a mistake. If she forgot then it's her bad not mine! She was very unprofessional and rude. She gave me my money back and ended up charging my friend after I had left. He shouldn't have paid it. It wasn't a lot. It was just the fact that she told me I HAD to pay for someone else's food and didn't even tell me she put it on my table. That made me mad.
We don't like dirt in our food. The Wytheville, VA Applebee's is low class & no class. Our waitress used a broom to clean the floor & she did not wash her hands then brought us our refill & food with her dirty hands. Never saw a manager. Our waitress cleaned the floor & her hair, clothes, hands were dirty then she brings our food out without even washing her hands. Over $50.00 for a meal with dirt in our food. She was reaching over my food on the table & the waitress was dirty from cleaning the floor. I blame the manager. It had to be dirt in our food & drinks. We won't go back. The health department needs to close it down. The help does not even wash their dirty hands. We are not happy.
I went to, Applebee's on Staten Island, on Mother's Day. During the night I got deadly sick. I ended up in the hospital with E. coli the doctor told me. So I called the manager on Staten Island his name was **, he was disrespectful and very condescending. Wouldn't let me get a word in. We paid $225.00 and gave the waitress a $45.00 dollar, tip. All I asked **, was for the refund of my dinner and he would not honor my meal. This was a terrible experience, my brother also said for buying the best steak it was very small and the drinks are iced down. How does a place like this stay in business? Yelling at the customer. As, customers we have (Customers Bill Of Rights). I would like corporate to handle this situation with a professional outcome. They need managers, to respect the public since we are supporting their establishments.
Chicken quesadillas are small small orders now that they changed menu. No lettuce. Red potatoes not RED! PRICES come higher as plate of food gets smaller. I come back here just to get upset I think. I try to forget and go on and forget but I get reminded about every time I come back. I sure hope I get another place to eat around here.
What's with all the negative reviews? I took Mom out to Applebee's, the one at Mainplace Mall, and it was superb. Fast service and succulent food (boneless wings, nacho salad, chicken tortilla soup, and s'mores churros), and the serving portions were reasonable! People complain here about portions being too small, but they are great for health-conscious individuals like us who avoid overeating! I'd definitely go again!
Bring back the old menu! I went to Applebee's, not knowing they changed almost everything on the menu. The appetizer we usually get (BBQ Wings) and the entree I usually get (Chicken Penne Pasta) were no longer available. So, I had to settle with what I ordered and it was not good. I say, if it's not broken, don't fix it. I will not be returning to any Applebee's unless the menu goes back to normal and portion sizes also go back to normal. Very disappointed.
I ordered salmon w/ vegetables. I asked waitress for no potatoes but broccoli instead. She said that was fine. When it came broccoli was hard not cooked. He ordered steak bruschetta. It came to the table and the steak looked like it was the bad part cut off, very nasty. It looked nothing like the photo on Applebee's website. The bill came. They charged me for broccoli. The bill was 47 dollars, meal was worth like 5. This has been happening to us every visit so we're done. We will no longer waste good money at this restaurant. Not sure on receipt number but Ottumwa, Iowa. 04/25/2015 between 2-4 pm.
I came to Applebee's and the service was terrible. It took nearly 15 minutes for our waiter to come and ask what we wanted for drinks then when she did she forgot the silverware and our drinks which took another 10 minutes. So just to get out appetizer it took 30-40 minutes.. Service is key in the restaurant industry.
I was in Applebee's in Great Falls MT. 2 months ago. As I was sitting there eating I saw an employee grab a chair out from under an employee while she was sitting at a table eating. I believe she was off work. This caused her to fly a couple feet out of her chair. His name was **. She was upset and yelled at him as expected. The manager ** sat there and did nothing. I would have assumed he would have been fired until I was in there again and he waited in me. If this is how Applebee's treats their employees this is not a place I will eat not nor recommend to anyone. I have seen so many different BS things happen there I'm done with this place.
