RefiJet is an auto loan refinancing company. The company itself is not a direct lender. Instead, RefiJet works with a network of lenders to help customers find their best option. The company aims to make the process of finding a refinancing loan a simple task.
Along with cars, RefiJet covers several other vehicle types, including trucks, motorcycles and recreational vehicles. The company doesn’t accept vehicles over 10 years old or with more than 150,000 miles. RefiJet accepts co-borrowers so that those with a poor credit history can add someone with better credit to bolster their application.
How does RefiJet work?
With RefiJet, you're matched with a financial expert that helps guide you through the process from beginning to end. This includes everything from applying for pre-qualification to completing application paperwork for a lender. Customers have to do little more than provide documentation and other necessary information.
The process starts with your personal financial expert reviewing all of your information. Next, you apply for pre-qualification, which takes only a few minutes and doesn’t affect your credit score. Once you’re pre-qualified, your expert lays out all the lending options available to you. From there, you can choose the lender that best suits your needs. Your financial expert submits your application, and if you're approved, they'll explain the loan details and give you the necessary loan documents.
To apply, you need to have a job or other steady income source. You also need to have a history of on-time recent car payments, a valid driver’s license and registration and full insurance coverage on the vehicle.
RefiJet rates
There’s no fee associated with using RefiJet. Customers can look into the loan options available to them with no financial commitment. Once you’ve pre-qualified for refinancing, your financial expert goes over your lending options, including fees and monthly payments. Your rates and other costs depend on various criteria, like your credit history, employment situation, your vehicle and other factors. According to RefiJet, rates start at 2.49% at the time of publishing.

I had another person on the title and the other company wanted me to jump through all these hoops, go down to the DMV and remove the name. The girl from RefiJet said they would do it all. And that was fantastic. I knew everything was going to be super awesome the minute that RefIjet wasn’t making me jump through hoops. Because ultimately, they are the ones making money off me, not me making money off them. The process was super easy, especially when you compare it to some of the other companies out there. Everything was online. Once we decided to finalize everything, it was just all DocuSign. It was basic standard application. It's the way they handled it after I hit submit which was stellar.
The rep was spectacular. If I called and asked something, it was because I was being curious or impatient. I was kept abreast of anything that was going on and anything that was needed. I got honest answers and communication. I was thoroughly impressed with it. A lot of people don't understand financing so you end up having a lot of questions and what I've experienced in the past is just a lot of condescension. She was never one time condescending or rude. I don't like to hear your kids screaming or the TV blaring in the background. It’s just unprofessional. And every time I had any dealings with her over the phone, it sounded clear. So I was very pleased. All I had to do was send a message or give her a call. And I, within reason, got a call back in a reasonable amount of time and my questions were answered every time.
The rates were acceptable. It is what it is. My credit score isn't 100% the best. My main goal was to get my payment down under $500 a month and RefiJet got it so super close. I understand interest rates go up and down and I had a low interest rate but my payments were 600 and that wasn't working for me. So RefiJet made it work the way I needed it to. I was presented with multiple options, like getting the payment lower interest but still kind of a high payment. I wasn't pushed into an option that I didn't want, which is a big thing for me because sometimes financing people would push you because there's a commission behind it. I don't know how RefiJet operates but I don't care because it was a fantastic experience

The refinance process took a couple of days because the first thing that the insurance company sent wasn't good enough. The credit union wanted a different approval thing on the insurance because they put down the lien holder's name, but they did not put down the address of that. The credit union is at different locations, so they wanted it at their location. It took a while to get that since I had to go back and send the insurance company a copy of what the credit union was asking for, then they got it sent out. It took us about five days to get all the paperwork done for the credit union and so far, I've had calls from them. But I still don't know if it was all approved.
However, I don't see an issue of a check or anything yet to the former lien holder. And I keep checking in because it's getting very close to the end of the authorization for the payoff. If they send it over there late, then they have to do it again because they're not going to have the total amount. Aside from that, we had a little bit of a problem because my wife works nights and she was in bed. So, getting the signing for her took me a little bit of time and coercion. But other than that, RefiJet's reps were very personable. We had good discussions about everything and we had time talk about how things were going. It was also very easy to fill out the paperwork as long as you've got all your stuff handy, which I had.
RefiJet had me, when I first bought the car, a ridiculous rate of 24%. But my credit score is getting better. When Brace called me, he was very professional and knew his numbers. I was impressed with him. And the fact that he didn't pressure me. He said, “If you're still interested, then keep in contact with me and let me know what you've decided.” And we went back and forth. He walked me through it. I sent him all the things he asked me for. And he got right back to me. He didn't drop the ball at all. He's the best. And he's a nice guy.
I'm making a life change decision here. I've got people who don't know what they're talking about, or they pretend they do. And when I go to sign up, it's nothing like they said it would, and I couldn't get out of it. So, I'm very cautious about people that know their stuff, because I did a lot of research myself about what he told me. I've talked to a lot of different guys for refinance because I was inundated with people sending me stuff. I had to turn my phone off. But Brace was also very consistent and very persistent. I liked that. Even now, when I send Brace stuff, because I have this contact information, he just writes back to me. Even though I'm already signed up, he doesn't drop me like some companies do, like, “Oh, you're just a number.” I don't feel that with this guy. He likes his people. I was looking at others, but I didn't find the things that RefiJet offers with the warranty. It cost money for that. I understand that. I'm very happy with them.
The customer service was superb. RefiJet made it seem like I was just talking to a friend. They were still professional. But they were cool and laid-back. In a couple of days, I had the answer. It was fast. And the whole process as far as paperwork, because I had another party on the car that I was taking her name off who lives out of town, they emailed it to me and one day I shipped it to her, printed it off. All the paperwork took a week to get everything finalized.
Everything was simple. Whatever the app RefiJet uses, it goes into this DocuSign thing and it's step-by-step. And when I printed everything off to sign it, the rep called me and read it word-for-word so I didn't mess up any signatures. I like how personable and straight to the point she was. RefiJet helped me with getting a better interest rate with my car and my payments are cheaper. So, it helped me financially in a positive way. I already referred my ex to RefiJet. She’s going to go through the process now. She’s just waiting after the holidays.
I found RefiJet through NerdWallet. I worked with a woman named Whitney. She was absolutely fantastic. I have a very strong personality. I am 30 years old. I've been in the IT industry for 10 years. I work in project management. I just graduated with my master's degree. So when I sit down to do anything financial, I mean business. I don't want to hear the riff-raff. When I put in an inquiry through NerdWallet, I got a call from another company. The guy was super, super rude. But the next morning, I got a call from RefiJet and I said, "Okay. I know you got my info from NerdWallet, from the thing I submitted. I know there's nothing better. I know you can't help. Thank you for your time." But then she said, "I can help, though, like I promise I can help." I told her that I was cooking dinner and asked her if we could connect in about half an hour. She said, "Take your time. I'm working from home. I work all day. I'll call you back in an hour."
She called me back in an hour and we went over every detail and it was very businesslike, like my interest percent, when my loan is through, and what I want to do and what my vehicle is. She went through everything very quickly and put everything as I was talking to her. Then she shot me back an interest rate that was 2% on the dot lower than what I was paying before. She was super nice. She sent me a UPS label for my documents and walked me through how to sign them. Then RefiJet had another representative call me for signing the documents. He was so friendly and nice in the process. He walked me through signing the pages as almost as if I was there in person. We went through them altogether and made sure they were all signed correctly. It was an amazing process. They added the service back in customer service.
RefiJet gave me some options to think about. The process was laid out clearly for me. We thought about it and I went with it. I liked the 90% interest rate. The experience working with Refi was easy-breezy.
The folks at RefiJet handled everything. I had a guy there who helped me with everything. I had his number, and I could text or call that number. So, anytime I needed something, I reached out to him. And he was responsive and he helped me out. He walked me through everything, and it was super easy. I put my phone on speaker, and he would talk me through all the steps. There was some pending time to get approved. But it felt like it only took a week and a half. I have bad work hours and they worked around them. And they contacted me as late as 7:00 in the evening.
I was scrolling around on the web trying to get the best kind of quotes. I found RefiJet and they found me the best route to be able to get connected for my vehicle. The application process was pretty simple. I called in and they walked me through the application process itself. They had me send in the paperwork and connected it to the application and set it up from there. Customer service was pretty inviting and very nice to talk with. They made it easy to understand what I was looking for. Instead of using those big words, they used layman's terms that I can understand easier. It was straight to the point. It was a one call resolution style.
RefiJet got me a good refinance with the vehicle that I was with at that timeframe. I was in a good price range and interest range that I was looking for to where I can afford my vehicle and pay my bills at the same time. I told a few people that they should check into it getting some refinancing done. I passed along the word with good hope.
RefiJet went beyond what any other refinance company did for me. I made a wise choice. My rate dropped 2 points. The only problem is it's hard to get ahold of them. I dealt with one guy. It was me and him for a while. He walked me through the process of signing and how to do it. He was very professional. But he got so busy that I talked to another lady. They sent me documents, but it was a while getting the paperwork arranged. They're busy people.
I just had to provide RefiJet the information and the standard things, and they took care of everything else. They did a good job and they were thorough. The refinance lowered my payments significantly, and I got a much better interest rate. It was a satisfactory experience.
