Help Me PLEASE... I have been using this Walmart MoneyCard for 2 years. I have a paycheck deposit and all to this card. Let's see. I get my tax refund Thursday on my card, I use it for a few transactions it's fine. Now I get up to get on the road for my son's surgery in ATL. Go to fill up, my card declines... WTF. I send copy of my license. I have to wait 2 business day. Oh heck no. I have to be in ATL for my son's surgery. I need my money now... What can I do???

Unfortunately I experienced the exact same circumstance. My tax refund was deposited on to my Wal-mart money card on the 17th. I made one purchase and paid one bill (which is still pending), nothing out of the ordinary. I woke up this morning and received a message from Wal-Mart indicating that my card is now blocked due to fraudulent activities. I too received an automated response suggesting to have my identification uploaded and to wait 2 business days for a response.
I needed an explanation but after several attempts to speak to a live person, with no luck, I conformed to the request to send a snapshot of my photo ID. It's Friday and I have to wait 2 business days with no funds available! I'm a single parent with NO other means!! I worry if I will ever get a response. I'm afraid that once the account is unblocked that MY ACCOUNT AND MY MONEY will be wiped clean. How can such an established organization allow for its loyal customers to endure this traumatic experience and life-changing hardship?

I called with transaction dispute. I had given my card# to Hulu to sign up for free 90 day trial. I had canceled the free trial. Hulu didn't receive my cancellation. So the customer service agent cancelled my card and I could not access my money for 2 weeks. They hung up on me and were rude when I needed to access my money. When I called back they said my card was fine. Come to find out when I used it - it was not. Beware you won't be able to get to your money.

I had fraudulent activity three times with the Walmart MoneyCard. The process to dispute transactions is ridiculous and you have to wait for a replacement card. The customer service is clearly outsourced and they are not helpful at all. Very rude and presumptuous. Instead of trying to assist you they ridicule you and make you feel anything but a valued customer.
It took me two attempts (20 days) for one dispute to come back and that was trying to prove I did not buy anything in China as I live in Houston Texas. And this last one I am on my second attempt to get $94.92 back on my card that I did not authorize for a dietary supplement subscription. I have a heart condition and cannot take any medicines without my doctor's consent. The dispute supervisor suggests I provide proof. What proof do I need to take? I didn't make this purchase?!? I have cancelled my direct deposits to them and if I could get them less than one star rating I would.

This card is scam. They have my money and won't release it to me. We called several times getting hung up on most of the time. Once we finally got through we had to ask for a supervisor over 20 times before finally getting transferred. We were then told there was nothing they could do that it was still under review. They have had my money for 6 days and never once told me they had it, didn't even tell me it was pending. We bought a house and we were using this money for the down payment and now we are going to lose our house because I can't pay the down payment since I don't know when we will ever get our money. I don't see how a company can be okay with taking advantage of people like this. We are talking about a few thousand dollars. I should have never trusted this company. I wish I didn't have to even give them a one star rating. They don't deserve it.

We paid a deposit for a cruise using our money card. Well unfortunately we had to cancel cruise for medical reasons. The cruise line issued a refund back to our card and ever since the funds were put back on card Green Dot has put a hold on the funds stating we needed to provide original receipt because amount was a very large amount (almost 2 grand). We have followed all of their steps, provided receipt of payment and copy of refund receipt. Yet still funds are on a security hold. Every day we get a different reason. Today it was they needed a phone number for merchant because receipt didn't look right. Mind you the merchant number was on receipt, so then it was we haven't had time to call them - WHAT!? I asked them to call right then and there conference me in and they refused said investigative team would have to do it. We've been told a different story for well over 10 days now - every time it's a different excuse.
What I don't understand is they let the cruise line take that big amount in the first place but refuse to give me that amount right back because it's so large and could be fraudulent. Well then it could've been fraudulent in the first place. We are so displeased with how this is being handled and feels like they are stealing our money. We had to cancel because of medical and were devastated for both reasons - now this stress and our funds being held - that's money we need very desperately now. I hope no one else ever has to deal with this again.

Exact same thing here with the Walmart Debit Card. Taxes deposited on 2/10, still blocked today. Customer service... they do not have. Automated system to me is NOT customer service!! Has anyone got their money yet?? What would be the next step? This is absolutely wrong and putting many people in a very tough situation. Oh... but "I apologize for the inconvenience, let me transfer you to our automated system that will give you the information you need." Sick of the run around with this. Something isn't right here!!

"It's tax time. Get your refund or government benefits faster." The IRS sent my refund to my bank over a week ago. At what point is this faster? There has always been a department to connect me with, they asked me to verify my security questions and unblocked the account. This year however, there is no card security department. After realizing that there is also no way to connect to a live agent I lie to the system and it transfers me to a person. This person had not only no information, but no way to connect or even give me the number for somebody who can. She took down my name and number and said a supervisor would get back to me at their convenience. It has been a week now and yet to be convenient. I get my paycheck deposited into this account, so it is also frozen and I'm supposed to believe there is nothing anybody can do?!
I have no food to feed my family, I am walking to and from work because I can't put gas in my car. I have over 8000 dollars in this account and my kids want to know why we're eating peanut butter sandwiches for dinner again. My landlord looks at me like I'm lying to him and they wanna come repo my car. I guess the only option left is to hope to find a lawyer that will get my money back and then let me pay.

Okay so just like some of you all I just got my tax money deposited on my long used Walmart MoneyCard. I get my paycheck out on it too. Initially when my card got blocked I was like "okay protection two day". Not bad. I loaded my document at like 5:30am Wednesday. I tried calling so many times, I gave up on reaching a real person until tn. I have another card with them so I called and pressed "card not received" button. Entered my info and was transferred to agent. I started explaining my issue and when he was waiting for my card number he hinge up on me. I'll chalk it up as an accident since I'm already wondering if Walmart is some kind of scam. Better Business Bureau I'm looking into right now... and while I think it's still too early to file a complaint I think I'll call and get some information jic. Thanks so much.

Walmart MoneyCard advertised: Get your income tax refund two days faster! The first few transaction were fine. The young lady then contradicted herself and said no that we could spend another $107 until 12:01 am and then we would have access to our full funds again. So at midnight we paid 2 bills. At 5:36 am we went to breakfast. 5 mins later our card was blocked. We were asked to send a copy of my DL and was told it would be unblocked in 2 days. 6 days later we are still blocked and no one will speak with us.
Finally my husband order a second card so we could bypass the automated service. So my experience with my Walmart MoneyCard is much like everyone else's. I was able to use it a couple times then it was declined. Talking to the employees at Walmart on this was like talking to a brick wall with no resolution. I went to the MoneyCard website to set up an account for the first time. Said I had successfully made the account, but when I tried to access it and log on there was an error message saying I was on the wrong website. How can that be when I never left the page? I even tried opening this in two different browsers thinking that might do the trick. Wrong!
Called the number on the back of the card, the female that answered, "Christine", was very short with me, only saying "I'm sorry" and cutting me off whenever I was speaking. Talked to me like I was too stupid to even know how to turn a computer on, let alone access a website! In the end, she had NO answers for me, couldn't help correct the web issue saying because it contained personal information she could do nothing about it!!?? I'm kind of confused? I thought that is was "tech support" was?
I was able however, to talk to a live person which is rare. I did find out they have been taking money monthly on a card that hasn't been used in a year! Yes! That is correct, even though I have NOT put money on this card or even swiped in it a year they are still taking out a monthly fee! Conversation ended with me 100 times more stressed over something that is supposed to make life a bit more simple, so I told her to de-activate the card, then she wanted to argue with me about doing that stating once done it will be permanent! GOOD, that is what I was hoping for!! I WILL NEVER, EVER USE A WALMART MONEYCARD AGAIN!! FOR ANY REASON!! Sincerely, Paper is still the way to go!

On Feb 6, 2016, my wife and I purchased a $50 Walmart MoneyCard from a Walmart (issued by Green Dot Bank) in north Phoenix. We thought it was a gift card, because it was in the "Gift Card" section and the packaging says it is a "Prepaid Visa Card." The card is actually a debit/credit card which charges consumers $5 a month once they sign up. You don't learn that until you open up the packaging. We returned the product to get a refund on Feb. 7, but the customer service representative (Claudia **) said the store cannot issue a refund - that we must call the number on the card.
However, when you call the number, you can't talk to a service representative until you register the card and provide them with your social security number. We refuse to do that because we don't want to be charged $5 a month. Also, it appears to me that one of the major purposes of the card is to generate new credit card customers for the bank. They use your social security to do a credit check and credit-worthy customers are given credit. Less credit-worthy customers are charged $5 a month for depositing their own money on the card. How strange is that? There are thousands of complaints about this bank online, and rating services give it a 1 out of five. The Better Business Bureau gives it a "B," but we all know that the BBB has been selling its ratings to customers for years. The Federal Reserve needs to reign in this bank. They need to clearly mark their packages with respect to what they are selling.

The money dropped but had a $00.00 balance. To find out in one transaction to a Best Buy in another state, my money is gone!!! This is an awful thing to happen to disabled Senior. To find through declined transaction, it's been happening since Dec. Sure they said I can get my money back but that will take way too long, at best!!! How can you trust it won't happen again!!! The money wasn't in my account for more than an hour before it was gone! How can this happen? I don't understand why it can take a month at best to my money back! And why in the heck doesn't Walmart money card do something about all hacking going with card? I am sick over this!

I've had my Walmart MoneyCard for a year now and never had an issue until now. Today, I went to use my card to buy some food and the card automatically declined. I found it strange because I knew I had money on the card. When I checked the online card statement I seen that were 13 different pending transactions all for the amount of $50 used at different Walmarts in the Tampa area! They spent every dime and left my balance "0". I immediately cancelled my card online and called the customer service number. It took me forever to reach a representative then he transferred me to a "supervisor" with a strong accent. She told me that she couldn't do anything at the moment because the transactions were "pending" and not yet posted even though there is no money left on the card!
She told me to call back in 8 days about when the transactions actually post. I asked her what happens after the transactions post and she told me that they will open up an investigation and issue a case number. Really? It takes a week for them to just open up an investigation with no guarantee of a refund?! I am HIGHLY upset. I am still trying to dispute these 13 charges with Walmart MoneyCard before I proceed to take legal action. All together, I lost $652. These people have been the most unhelpful customer service reps I've ever encountered. I hope that this issue gets resolved within a decent amount of time. I will NEVER use any re-loadable card again!!!

My Walmart MoneyCard was hacked for $500. Walmart told me they investigate and get back to me within 10 business day (14 days total). On the 14th day they said they were done investigation and would let me know the results within 48 hrs. 48 hrs later they email and said they were going to issue a refund within 10 business day (2 weeks). Then they marked my account as REFUND SENT. I called and they said to allow 10 business day for it to get to me via US mail. I received a letter in the mail 4 days later telling me that they had mailed the refund check, BUT allow 10 business day (14 days) to get to me. The 14 days have passed and no check, yet the mail they sent me got to me in 4 days!!
NOW they tell me to wait until Feb. 3rd and if I do not receive it by then, they will issue another check within 10 business days. I told the foreign speaking rep that the one feature I really liked about the card was the ability to send money to any person in the United States and be able to pick it up within 10 minutes at a Walmart. WHY CAN'T my refund be sent using their technology? It could!!! But they will not do that because it is not their POLICY!!! I told the rep that it is my policy to never use a product or company that jerks me around for over a month. That money was my only form of income as it was my SSA check. Walmart does not care about the people that have made them a success THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! Use any other process other than a Walmart MoneyCard!

Talk about a nightmare! In Oct. 2015 I was working in Ohio. I thought it would be a great idea to get a WalMart Money Card. By Jan. 2016 I still had not received my "permanent card". In that time I had sent two emails informing them that I had not received my permanent card. Not everyone will accept payment from a temporary card. WalMart has no problem whatsoever of allowing you to recharge the temporary card.
On Jan. 15, 2016 I was in WalMart and really need to get cash off of the card. I could not because it is a temporary card. I stood in WalMart and called the customer service number on the back of the card. I expanded very thing that I've just stated above. I got so very tired of hearing "We don't have an option for that." I was very upset but not yelling yet. I asked for a supervisor. Several minutes later after going through everything again I'm told that I can only use the card in WalMart and should buy what I needed there. I did not have an option to get any of MY money in cash.
Ok, send me a permanent card. Right? It will take 10 days... sucks. And we have to activated the temporary card while you wait the 10 days. Now I am really mad, but not yelling yet. I asked if I could use the temporary card to buy a new card that way I would have use of the card even if it was limited use. Right? No, "we don't have that option". Told her just how wrong it was that there were no "options" that would allow me to use MY money. I told her to go ahead and do it that I would just have to wait the 10 days. I also made sure I have her name so that I could give it to my lawyer. It's been 10 days now. No card. I called the number again. Guess what... she did not put in the order for the new card. She noted that I said she could not do it. I now have to wait up to 14 days for my new permanent card. I still can not use MY money.

Applying for the Walmart MasterCard is done right at the checkout. As part of the application process, you must swipe one of your existing credit cards; in my case my Value Visa. The following day, much to my horror, I had FOUR unauthorized purchases on my Visa card. Of course I immediately reported this to my card holder, completed a fraud report, and had my Visa canceled. My next step was to contact my local Walmart and report what had happened; warning him that it appeared their system was compromised. The manager didn't seem to care at all, but gave me a phone number to contact Walmart MasterCard. They have yet to return my call. I feel this is something consumers should be warned about immediately.

I didn't realize this at first cause I was comfortable with banking with them. Shortly hereafter I started noticing differences in my account. I thought to myself "that can't be right." I looked on my transactions and I saw the fees. It charged me almost five dollars just to pull out money at their own bank counter. When you speak directly with a representative and then they charge three dollars at their own ATM, idk but that's not being treated fairly, robbing their customers blind even if it's just a few dollars but it adds up pretty quickly. Just trying to be helpful. If not, oh well. Just they have wayyy too much fees just for a simple bank account with them.

Walmart MoneyCard fraudsters are at it again!!!! I had over 1500.00 taken from my account. I have been a card holder for 5 years with NO ISSUES AT ALL. Went to a local store to get breakfast and it was declined. Due to the amount of money on the card I knew that my bills did not go through yet so I called in and there I found my life was ripped apart. Over 35 transactions were done on ONE DAY. The first rep stated that they lock the accounts after 5 suspicious transactions. I'm sorry, 35 in one day with 42 totally over 3 days, if that isn't suspicious, I don't know what the heck is! I was told that they had to wait until the pending purchases said purchased.
I was told they could have cancelled before that by my friend who works for VISA Fraud. So I called back today and was told "oh now we can start the dispute (although yesterday they told me they were starting it)." They have all the information about the transactions but yet I still have to fill out 3 pages of forms plus more for the other 37 transactions that are not mine.
I live in Indiana and these charges were in California. I am so upset because I just think my money is gone. They kept asking me if I order things online etc. I am a creature of habit. I don't use this card for online purchases and it's never out of my sight. I never hand my credit card to anyone else to run through their system. If I can't see my card I pay cash!!! I can only pray that I get my money back but it's hard to understand the reps and I don't think they really care!

When I called the rep told me that there was no way they can reactivate the temporary card because the system automatically deactivates them after 15 days. Shortly after, I made a large purchase and gave the cashier the $35 coupon and she scanned the barcode which appeared on the receipt. I asked her why the $35 does not show up on the receipt and her reply was, "you will see the credit on your next statement." Of course the statement came and NO CREDIT APPLIED. It was all a SCAM!!

No statement when you load money. All we pay is the $5 fee so $605 and you will have a balance of $600. Spend $300 if you already have a few dollars in before loading more. Just add to it. Another thing is the deposit records is made with magnetic ink so I put it in my wallet well. The next time I tried to use it they had shut all my cards off. After a hour punching numbers in a cell phone got a human. They told me my card was overdrawn over $540 so they locked all my cards. Told me if I wanted cards to be unlocked I would have to deposit like $544 to cover overdrafts. All I can say because it's like you're talking on a satellite phone to someone overseas. I just got screwed again. The only reason to get a prepaid card is because my credit had already been wiped out from identity theft. That's another story. Walmart isn't what it used to be. I received a email stating my account had been compromised and had been locked. I contacted customer service. They said they had noticed suspicious activity on my account and my cards had been cancelled. They showed a charge for Casablanca Hotel in Toledo, Ohio (which doesn't exist) of $210 then credited back to account then a Charge of $335 from Rite Aid in New Jersey. They said I couldn't dispute these charges until they had actually cleared but they were sending replacement cards should receive within 2 weeks. I explained that was every dime I had & they had my account locked. I asked about overnighting new cards since I share the account with my husband who works out of state & would be needing money for hotel & such. They said overnight wasn't available for preferred customers but my cards should arrive within 2 weeks.
I was just in so much shock I couldn't even discuss this anymore with the rep. I asked for a supervisor I was told my case didn't qualify for a supervisor. By now the shock is wearing off now I'm pissed. They have my account locked. I have no money but I can't talk to supervisor. I hang up, take a little while to gather myself, I call back. I ask about my husband's direct deposit that is scheduled next day "oh it's no problem. Just your card numbers changed." They explain I can go purchase another card & transfer my remaining funds due to the fact since hotel had already been authorized they could still take the $210. They finally transfer me to dispute department to be told I have to wait until charges clear then file dispute then it would take 10 business days to investigate.
I borrow money to go get the new card, come back to transfer the money, account is still locked. I call back this rep. tells me my account is locked, no money can be removed or added. I explode on her, she finally transfers me to a supervisor. Supervisor explains account is locked for 24 hours after that I can transfer my remaining money to new purchased card. Next day I am able to transfer $500 from account which is MAX amount you can transfer in 24 hours. I'm out the $335 stolen, $24 for new card since min. can be added is $20, $3 to withdraw money from card & $9 to send money Walmart to Walmart so my husband with have money.
I call back after transaction clears, takes 30 minutes to get transferred to dispute dept. then another 30 minutes to get person on phone. He said "we need your email address to send some paperwork to explain what will be taking place. It will take 10 days to investigate then we will mail you the results to your home address." Excuse me of course I unloaded on him too - didn't do any good. He says "this is company policy. It's nothing we can do." I open email - it's 3 pages of forms that have to be filled out & returned which he never mentioned. I do all this on Wednesday then call back on Monday for a update just confirming they had received paperwork & it was nothing else to do. She states "yes we have everything we need from you & investigation should be finished on Jan. 15." So now that 10 days is up to 16 days.
Those replacements cards that couldn't be overnighted & should arrive in 2 weeks haven't arrived but the permanent card for the new one I had to purchase arrived 2 days ago. It's now been 10 days since they claimed replacements cards were mailed & they were just coming from next state which should have taken no more than 4 days.
Once all of this is settled I will be leaving Walmart Moneycard & for those of you who don't know Walmart Moneycard is funded by Green Dot bank which is the Green Dot card. All the statements about rude Customer Service & all foreign is true. I have been a customer of Walmart Moneycard for 2 years & haven't spoken a American anytime I have called. Green Dot is the same - was with them for 5 years until they done away with the card refills & changed to Walmart. If you were dealing with a real bank your money would be available within 72 hours. How much is there to investigate that would take weeks like they are making you wait. PLEASE take your money elsewhere. Don't deal with this company.

But as long as I don't have to talk to them I figured I was fine. That changed today when they STOLE money from my account. They are really slick too. We call customer support and speak to five different people, before getting transferred to a supervisor. He says he will send out more cards and we will have to wait another two weeks. We had our storage facility payment due, and Christmas shopping to do. We transferred all we could to another card we had, but they have a limit per day and per month. We met that limit in one day, and we're not able to pull out any more funds.
The customer service reps are all foreign, which wouldn't be an issue except you cannot understand them, and they are rude. I requested to speak to a supervisor and waited on hold for about 15 min. The girl came back to me and said she would spend her OWN money to expedite the card to me. While I'm not dumb enough to believe that she was going to spend her own money, I figured she decided to waive the fee for me. I waited.
I did rec'v a fedex on November 13th and it did have a card inside. I called to activate it and guess what. It had the wrong expiration date on the card. I spent the next 4 hours trying to get in touch with SOMEONE that could tell me why they sent me a card with the wrong expiration date on it. No one could answer and I was hung up on 4 times. I finally got someone to tell me a new card was being sent, but nothing was sent. I'm still waiting. It is now 11/24. I have no money since my money is on card that I cannot access. They WILL NOT give me any kind of tracking number. My thanksgiving holiday is really going to suck for my 3 kids. I do not have any confidence that I will be receiving a card at all, let alone be able to access my money. I finally got someone to tell me where they are located: Southeast Asia. Good Job Walmart. Did anyone expect anything less from this Bajillion Dollar company?

I went on a vacation for 2 weeks and I wasn't sure if I wanted to rent a car. During the time I decided to rent a car at Payless Rental Car Service. I went to Wal-Mart to buy a prepaid Card so I did. Put 400.00 toward the car and I rent a car. Payless Rental card charge me $321.00, plus I had to put $200.00 for deposit.. When I return the car back my 200.00 was on hold and they told me that they release the money but I can't use the card yet because the prepaid card hold your money for 30 or more day before they could refund it to you.. I waited over 30 day and I still having got my money.
I call Payless Rental Car and they said that they release it on 9-20-2015 and that Wal-Mart have to refund it back into your prepaid card. So I call Wal-Mart Money Card and they said that Payless hasn't release it yet. I did a 3 ways call to both of them and now they have to do an investigation where is the money.. Now who know how long I have to wait for my money or I will get me a lawyer to get it for me. Once I get my money back I will NEVER use Wal Mart Money Card again.. Prepaid Card is not worth it...

This has been a nightmare. I go to use my card and come to find out its expired. So, I call the number on the back of the card. I am greeted by some woman who speaks terrible English and is very rude. I try to explain what's going on and she tells me that they had already sent me a replacement card the previous month. I didn't receive a card. That was on November 13th. They said I would receive my new card via fedex within 5 days. Its now the 23rd. NO card!! So, again I call back. Waited 20 min to talk to a live person. Then in the middle of the call we get disconnected. This happened 3 times.
When I finally reach someone they tell me they sent it to the wrong address and there's nothing they can do but send me out another card. They charged me $15.00 to expedite the card the first time. This is my livelihood they're messing with. My landlord is furious and wants to boot us out. I asked if I could transfer the money onto another card if I went and bought one and they said no. I feel that I should be compensated. This was not my fault. This is a mess and I strongly advise anyone to get a card through some other american based company.

DO NOT USE THE WALMART MONEYCARD. I had used the Walmart MoneyCard for 6 years with no major issues. I had 3 cards. One that I shared with my wife and 2 other cards. I'm a truck driver and it was an easy way to send money to her. Until around the middle of Sept. 2015 my cards worked fine. Around 9.15.15 fraudulent purchases were made on one of my cards totaling over $850. I contacted Walmart and did an investigation that I guess took about 2 weeks. They never contacted me about results. I contacted them. They said merchant refunded all money back to card. I reminded them card was cancelled and they said they would send replacement card and it would take 2 weeks to arrive.
After 2 weeks card never came. I called back. I asked them why card never came. They asked me my address where card was to be sent. I gave them address which was my PO box. I asked them what address they mailed it to and they refused to tell me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they refused to let me speak to one. (If you don't believe me call them. Ask for a supervisor. You will never get one.) They would not tell me the address they were sending card and I could not speak to a supervisor. I was forced to wait another 2 weeks for them to send card again. This time I gave them my physical address. I waited 2 more weeks and called again. This time they say the card was returned to them. I asked them again to give me the address to which the card was mailed. They would not give it to me. I asked for a supervisor. They would not allow me to speak to one.
At this moment I felt some of the worst hopelessness I had felt in a while. I had close to $900 on that card that I needed. I didn't want to have to wait another 2 weeks for card not to show. I wanted them to send my money quickly and I pay shipping cost. Of course customer service was not authorized to do so and you guessed it... I could not speak to a supervisor. Now it's well over a month. I contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint hoping for a quick response. After another week of waiting I desperately call Walmart back. I slowly and patiently explain the situation about the card and ask them to mail the replacement card to me again. And this time I request that they allow me to pay whatever necessary to speed up shipping. They say that I can pay $15 to ship card and I would receive it in 7 days. I agreed.
The next day which is today tried to pay a bill with another of my 3 Walmart cards which only had about $35 on it but payment would not go through. I called Walmart again and they said "didn't you cancel that card last night and asked for expedited shipping for $15?" That was today November 18, 2015. I'm out of answers. I need help. If anyone knows what I can do please help me. I don't want to pay a lawyer to get my money back. This situation has damaged my credit and caused all sorts of mental stress and anguish.
Before I called the BBB I was finally transferred to a supervisor. When I told that supervisor I was going to call the BBB after she told me I had no other options other than mailing card again I asked her for her name for records. She spelled it out as to say she didn't care at all who I called. Trust me people. You do not want this card. I have no idea how I will get my money or how card was compromised in first place. Walmart stick to selling cheap items. Banking is not for you. I now bank with big bank. Any ideas on how I can rectify this please email to **. Thanks.

I will NEVER deal with this AGAIN!!! My card was locked because they said it was being hacked. But I was NEVER notified and I wouldn't have known if I wasn't trying to pay my bills. They said it would take 2 weeks to get a card and I said, "no I need it quicker." So they said that I had to pay $15 to do it and I said "fine". When I called to see if my card has been sent out they told me it was sent out via mail and I told them, "no I did not want it sent via mail I wanted it expedited". So then they tell me I have to wait two days and call back in order to have it expedited, and when I do call they tell me it's going to take 7 days to have it expedited when they told me 2-3 days.
So I'm just warning everybody please do not deal with this company because they make you wait on your money. Then you can never hardly talk to a real person to even ask why your card was locked. They don't even have a number. So if you can deal with a bank please do. At least I would have my money by now so beware!!!

I've done the post office change and yet nothing. Now I called on a prepaid phone wasting minutes trying to get this problem solved. Each person I talked to claimed to be a superior and that they don't have management. I'm trying to get my money and still have no access to it. Something has to be done. I purchased a Walmart Gift card to pre-order the Fallout 4 Xbox One Bundle on October 22nd. The release date of the bundle is today Nov. 10th 2015. I decided on Nov. 1st to go ahead and cancel my order with Xbox and go to Walmart to purchase a different Xbox One bundle. I chatted with Microsoft first, I cancelled my order and had they assure me that they did not take any money off of my card because they would not charge the card until Nov. 10th when the shipment was to be sent. I received my cancellation email and checked my MS account to show the order had indeed been cancelled.
I went to Walmart and found out that the card did not work. I checked my Walmartgift.com account and it showed 430.00 pending. After many hours of trying to figure out how to get a live representative, I finally got someone at walmart/greendot customer service. They told me that Microsoft had to release the money and they would not do that until November 14th (the release day of the product). I explained to them that MS told me they never touched the money and the release date was November 10th not November 14th. We have been waiting years for this game, I know the release date.
Since then, they have refused to release my money, saying it's MS's fault and that I just need to check my balance. I told them that the balance says nothing other than pending and they say "yep, that's right." I ask for a manager and they refuse, they tell me "no matter what we say you wont listen and you don't understand bank to bank transactions" they just repeat this over and over until you get so mad you hang up! I still do not have my money and they will do nothing about it. On November 14th they said they can dispute the charge to Microsoft but not before then. God only knows how long that is going to take. I hope I can get my Xbox One before Christmas! I am truly upset and have no way of dealing with this situation other than to warn people. DO NOT BUY WALMART GIFT CARDS!!!

Scammers use Wal-Mart MoneyCards. So if someone is asking you to use a Wal-Mart MoneyCard you know it's a scam. Wal-Mart MoneyCard customer support is the absolute worst. Horrible. Very little to no security measures to protect you. Do not use these cards, you are just asking for trouble. I was scammed by someone from India posing as the IRS looking for me to pay off my IRS installment agreement. The scam was very sophisticated and used the Wal-Mart MoneyCards. Again stay away from using Wal-Mart MoneyCards. Also always avoid using your debit card as a debit card (meaning putting in your pin). You can use your debit card as a credit card. So when you make a purchase say credit, it will still come out of your debit account but you have some protection and you are not exposing your pin.

My wife and I have used the Walmart "prepaid" debit card for seven years now. We also bank with BB&T for general household expenses and writing checks for services and mortgage. After a couple experiences with our "big banks" getting hacked and theft of our money, we though it would be smart to use a second account for online shopping and other non-essentials. We used a couple different ones before settling on Wal-Mart's CC. We have ended up using the Wal-Mart card A LOT, even more than our actual debit card. My wife's checks get direct-deposit to WM and mine to BB&T, and her money gets used for daily expenses and some non-essential recurring expenses that oft get forgotten about, like gym, Netflix, XBOX live and stuff like that, and also all the online purchasing, Amazon etc.
The GOOD: If you use the "Direct Deposit" and make over 1000$ a month, then the monthly fee is waived. Since direct deposit is also free, the account is essentially free. If you live check to check, and have recurring payments, this is a great choice. You CANNOT bounce monies in the Wal-Mart account. It will simply not pay, this is the BEST thing about prepaid cards. (Please note that it does charge a 1$ fee for insufficient charges that do not go through, beats 40 for Bank America.) They will issue another card with your spouse's name on it, like $6 upfront and ten no charges for extra card after that. That was nice for a prepaid service. Wal-Marts are everywhere, and their stores ATM only charges 1$ for withdrawals.
They do allow for a cushion of up to 10$. Sometimes you will have a negative account, this is generally cause by "tips" written after the charge is processed. There is no penalty for running a card negative. Wal-Mart always sends new cards several months before "expiration". They also send however many cards on the account, and in the correct names of all who have name on account. They are great for this, think it's like 5$ to send new cards.
The BAD: System is glitch on occasion, but fixed quickly. My card expired in August of 2016. I kept getting updates that said "your card is about to expire", but still had a year. When the date came, I couldn't use the card, saying it was expired although it had 12 more months until "actual" date. I was freaking out a little, but it was fixed and working by next day, without a call to customer service. Customer service, if needed, can be a very bad experience. About two years ago, our card had gotten hacked. We had close to a grand on it at the time. I noticed the balance dropping through the day, but assumed it was school or some other recurring payment. Noticed it was all Canadian stores and quickly removed any leftover cash at the ATM. I would not make a claim without taking your money off first, if you need it quickly anyways.
Customer service was pretty bad, and all outside the U.S. It was easy to see the fraudulent charges, since it happened to be any of them in Canada, but still had to go through a pretty long process of faxes and phone calls to sort through. All in all, the problem is fixed, but took over two weeks to get the stolen 700$ back, and the card will freeze all of your monies until it's cleared up. The problem WAS rectified though, albeit not "expediently" but I was too happy enough. My recommendation... Do NOT use a prepaid card for a saving account. Do NOT keep significant amounts of money on the card. Website's transaction history can be weird at times, oft showing double charges and other discrepancies. I generally just give it a day or two until those "pending" charges are over and it always reflect actual transaction by the end.
Overall: Very satisfied with the card. If you are using direct deposit and not using ATM's much, this thing is perfect. No concern about overdrafts, NO monthly fee if using over $1000 a month and no hidden fees. This is NOT a bank account and should not be treated as such. If you need a bank account, but have burned the other banks by not paying old account etc., then this might be your only choice, you should be happy that you even have a choice. Loading cash is expensive and cashing checks is also, if Wal-Mart will even cash it, they have become very picky about what checks they are willing to approve. This is great for direct-depositors that pay lot of things online. Customer service is greatly insufficient, but they do get the job done, eventually.
Do not rely on solely your "money-card" to live on, if this is your only account, keep a few hundred dollars handy in case of a jam, and expect 2-3 weeks to get your issues sorted out in case of identity theft or lost card. This is a consumer report site, so you are only going to see the negatives, but I thought since they have been good to me and saved me lots of money over the last years, someone should give a reasonable opinion of the card. Sorry about everyone's misfortunes, but if you expect to get treated the way you would from a "real" bank that makes hundreds a year off you, then your expectations are not realistic. Everyone needs to have a stash of cash to get them through a couple weeks, regardless of who you bank with. Common sense folks!!!

I wish I would've checked these reviews before purchasing this card. The customer service is horrible. They gonna compromise my card without my authority because I called in to dispute a double transaction from Royal Farm and then they gonna tell me they don't need my authority. Once you call in to dispute something, they cancel out your card whether you have it or it was stolen. This so-called supervisor I was on the phone with gonna tell me after me telling him don't cancel out my card because it the weekend and my direct deposit is on there and I get paid every week. I told him it's the weekend. I need to get my money off. He gonna tell me he has to cancel it. I never heard of anything like this. Normally, when you call a real bank to dispute something, that's what they do. The only time they compromise your card is if it's lost or stolen. I'm planning to move my direct deposit and send it to a real bank.

I had nothing but bad service when calling into the MoneyCard #. They have sent my card to the wrong address twice even after speaking with a supervisor. Also, they like to speak over you when you're expressing your frustration and then tells you that it will take another 5 business days to get it. I ordered this back on Sept 28th. I'm appalled that they would not overnight me my card since it's their error. I will not recommend this card to my worst enemy due to their customer service.

It's possible that Wal-Mart uses the "card not received" tactic to boost revenue. It's possible they never send the card on purpose, or there is some magical system error. You never get your card and then report it not received. They then disable all your cards so that you do not have access to your money. You need your money as fast as possible so they give you the expedited shipping option, except, you have to pay for it. USPS shipping is usually free if it takes longer than 3 days. What I did to get free shipping expedited and even get the card waived is to record them.
I don't give a damn about wiretapping laws when you restrict me from my money. I simply demand that all fees be waived since I'm not responsible for visa or USPS. They will do it. Another thing is that all reps sound alike. I'm not racist, but damn. Simplicity is key. Record them without permission (they are withholding your funds without permission), and calmly demand an account supervisor. Then that all fees be waived.

My card was lost or stolen 4 weeks ago. The day I noticed, I called the automated system, and requested a new card. I paid $21 total for expedited 3-5 day FedEx delivery. In the meantime, Wal-Mart MoneyCard system automatically cancelled the old card, but LOCKED MY ENTIRE BANK ACCOUNT. Exactly 4 weeks have passed, and my card has not been received. I have sent them numerous e-mails, to their "customer service", with zero response from their company.
I have called the 1-877-937-4098 automated system dozens of times, trying to find a loophole to talk to a live person, customer service agent, with ZERO success. Wal-Mart MoneyCard does NOT have real people, or any customer service representatives to speak to; and the Wal-Mart MoneyCard "automated hotline" will eventually hang up on you. Even when your call is not finalized; the computerized voice will say "GOODBYE", and hang up automatically.
It has been 4 weeks, 4 paychecks, with zero bills paid, no access to my work paycheck(s), which are automatically deposited into the account. It would be great to speak to a customer service person, receive an email response, or find out if my Wal-Mart Debit/Visa Card was ever sent out in the mail! I should also be refunded the $21 expedited 3-5 day guaranteed FedEx delivery fee, as I obviously have NOT gotten my card in 4 weeks. This company is horrible. They have ZERO regard or concern for their account holders. They DO NOT HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES to contact or speak to. Please take your money and hard earned paychecks elsewhere.

I called customer service to check a refund that I was told by the refunding company was done 24 hours ago. I was told that there was no refund. I asked for a supervisor and was hung up on. I called back and immediately asked for a supervisor and was transferred to another grunt. I asked the grunt to get me a supervisor and he refused, said I needed to give a date of transaction, amount, card number, and transaction type. I refused and asked for a supervisor a couple more times. Was told not until I give that info, was told they need that info to pass on. I finally gave it up, again. Got a supervisor and was asked for that same info. I said that I had given it already and not giving it again. She refused to do anything till I gave info. I argued for a bit, but gave it up. She told me there was no refund.
I has this same problem a few months ago and it was found after 2.5 hours and numerous "specialists". Was told that they need to check a different section in the computer, not the same page that you can check online. Anyways, I told her that and was told that it's not possible, there is nothing else to check. I asked for another supervisor after trying to get my point across and listening several times about how refunds work, how she wanted to help me, blah blah blah. She refused to get me another person or supervisor, said that she can't transfer a call. Said all she could do was end it. After calling B.S. for several minutes, she transferred me to the automated survey line. After answering it hangs up. So I called back, again.
Heated. I kept my cool though. I immediately asked for a supervisor and again the games started, couldn't get one till I stated the problem. I told them that I had verified my account already through the automated section before getting him and told him I was not verifying it again and to get me a supervisor. He kindly transferred me. Told this one my issue and how it was done a few months ago and my troubles. Same games, he explained how refunds work. I then told him that he was incorrect and stated what the person had told me when I had the same issue a few months prior. He stated that I was correct. This after being told that I don't know how things work. I told him that if I'm correct, he didn't know what was going on. He wouldn't help me either. He said the only thing he could look at was the same web page that you can pull up on your PC, tablet, or phone.
To conclude, you will get no other info than what the website provides. Now I'm waiting on $158 that will probably not show. I've already lost $140 earlier this year before they showed balances after transactions. Was told then that I had no proof of balance after a transaction, so because I didn't take a screen shot before and after a certain transaction that my math was wrong. I am canceling my account before they steal anymore from me. I don't recommend, at all in any way shape or form, getting a Walmart Money Card or Green Dot Card. I will be going with a local bank, the closest is 35 miles away. I would drive 200 miles if it meant getting away from these scam artists. You've been warned.

I purchased the "preferred" Walmart MoneyCard, everything was fine. I donate plasma and would put any cash I had along with transferring money off my plasma card to the Walmart MoneyCard. Today I attempted to load my card and it was declined after several tries. I called the number and got an automated recording that informed me, "Due to a recent review of my transaction history, my card was now blocked. I could reactivate it to pull my balance off only. I could not add funds, nor would I ever be allowed to open another account."
I am a student and used this card to make online purchases for the most part. Never has there been any reason for suspicion. I have never had any attempts of fraud against this card, nor have I abused it. I had a Walmart card years ago when they were with GE Bank and never had an issue. Don't know what triggered this decision, but find this very inconvenient and without merit. I will file an official complaint with the FTC on their website.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T PUT YOUR MONEY ON ANY OF THESE PREPAID CARDS. I reported my card compromised on Aug. 14, 2015 and called to get a new card reissued. I was told it would take 10 business days to receive a new card. My direct deposit hit my account on Aug. 28. I had to wait two weeks, until Sept. 2, before they could reissue ANOTHER replacement card. Again, I waited 10 business days. While I waited, I received another direct deposit (that equals a month's salary) on the account with the compromised card.
I was told by the "customer service specialist" that I would be able to transfer my balance (from compromised card account) to another Walmart card. I borrow $25 to go buy another Walmart card; I receive that permanent card in less than 5 business days. I waited the required 10 business days for the replacement card on the original account (with direct deposit). I call the "customer service specialist" to let them know I still had not received the replacement card and to get instructions on how to transfer my month's salary to the new card. I'm told that all they can do is reissue a replacement card.
I've waited patiently for over 30 calendar days to have access to the money I EARNED, to no avail. I am now homeless (with a toddler), have no gas/food money or car insurance. Walmart has over $3,000 of my money and won't give it to me. And I'm STILL being told I have to wait 10 business days for a new card (that will total 50 calendar days with no money) that will never come.
The "customer service specialists" are rude, incompetent and will lie to you and hang up on you to get you off the phone. I was told repeatedly that I can have the replacement card expedited to me, "hold on while I transfer you to a customer service specialist who can help you with that request..." I was transferred 9 times and by the end of each conversation I was told lies. Once I was transferred I was told I would have to wait 10 business days. I explain my situation. I was told I could have the card expedited... "Hold while I transfer you..." Over and over and over again. So here I sit at 4:23 a.m. in my car with no gas or food. She then sent me to a automated response system. I called back because I needed to know what was going on. The next person was a little clearer but wouldn't explain what was wrong with my card and once again sent me to the system.
On my third call the person told me you had cancelled my card which I didn't and said "I had to wait 2 weeks." I asked for a supervisor 4 times before this wannabe person got on the phone. On Monday 08/24/15 I went to process a payment via prepaylunch.com to place funds in my son's lunch account for the first week of school. The transaction was declined. I tried it again. The transaction was declined. I checked my Walmart money card balance via the site and there was no payment posted to my account. I contacted Walmart Money card and was told that the system did not update over the weekend and that the funds would be available by the end of the business day.
I contacted them back at appx. 8pm est on 08/24/15 because the funds still had not posted. I was told to allow the system to update over night. The funds would be available Tuesday 08/25/15 morning. On Tuesday morning the funds were still not available. I was hung up on, I was cut off and sent into the survey. I called back and a supervisor put a credit on my account with the understanding that when the $60 payment my sister sent using the send money feature posted the provisional credit would come off. I accepted that but asked for an escalation to corporate because we were 3 days later with several system updates and the payment still had not posted. I have checked my account and called in every day this week in reference to this issue with no resolution.
Thursday 08/27/15 a supervisor by the name of Jeff advised that there was an email sent to customers advising of a system issue but refused to confirm the email address it was sent to and stated he could not resend the said letter. Deidre (sp) from corporate called me today and was very short, disrespectful and rude. She basically said to me, “We gave you a credit, why are you still complaining?” But to me it isn't about the credit. It's about the fact that my sister as the sender had funds taken out of her account that were not received by me with no notification to either of us.
Here we are almost a week later and there still is no resolution. Not to mention that now the provisional credit has been removed from my account (I found out via a declined payment) yet the send money payment from my sister still has not posted to my account nor has she been refunded. Joseph from corporate who called me this evening also very rude and disrespectful advised the provisional credit was taken from my account because I never claimed the funds which is inaccurate. Dan, Kevin, Angel, supervisors Jeff, Marie, and Grace even Deidre who works in the same office as him all acknowledged that it shows received on my account but has not updated to my account balance. You all have people in place that lack customer service, call people with there's nothing that can be done attitudes and throw blame at the customers as if we did something wrong.
Obviously if I had money sent to me it's because I needed it. It is embarrassing to find out you don't have money via a declined transaction. All I want is for the $60 to be posted to my card or returned to my sister and really a little extra for all we've had to endure. Technology is not perfect. I get that. However 7 days later with no resolution is unacceptable. I purchased a Walmart money card because of my sister. She's always said how good a card it is and now not even a week into having it after this is resolved, my sister and I will potentially be cancelling our cards and sharing our experience as much as we can so no one else will have to be treated as we have throughout this.
I have been lied to and given incorrect information, funds have been fraudulently removed from my account and not returned to the sender, no notification has been given when clear system issues have occurred not to mention to awful customer service we have been provided by the customer service department and corporate which represent the green dot brand as a whole. Let me think about it,” but before I could give them my consent they had already cancelled my card. So I thought about it afterwards and ask them to send it to my friend’s address since she would be home.
Since August 2nd I have been going through this same process. Saying my card was compromised each time. They have cancelled without my consent not even giving me the Opportunity to decide. For four weeks I have suffered tremendously. I am a substitute teacher, single mother of 2 with No funds to take care of my bills. My bills are due this Monday. After talking with them on Friday she said I should be receiving a refund check by August 27th. Lord know I don’t know what to think.
I have a total of 4 Wal-Mart cards, no money. 2 promised refund checks. I am just devastated and lost for using the correct words right now. These company does not represent to be true and honest. They do not stand behind their promise. People who don't have a clue to what’s going on with customers funds should be replaced. I also don't trust them anymore. My Trust is gone. Will never Ever Use them again!!

The company that provides the "Walmart MoneyCard", which is not Walmart but another company that is re-branding it, is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Every single aspect about the way they do business, other than the no overdrafts, is painful. I don't even know where to start. Suffice to say that they have the absolute worst customer service and make it impossible to access any of your money when you card is stolen.
A normal bank would allow you access to our money through in-person transactions or let you transfer your money to a new card. Image all of your money inaccessible for 3 to 5 business days. Besides the god awful policies in place, the customer service reads directions from a screen on what to do in certain situations. When they don't know what to do, they transfer you to another department, who then transfers you back. After several calls and twice as many conversations with different people, still no resolution.
They say they can't transfer money from one account to another; however, they were able to do it for $15 as a courtesy. So really it's not that they can't, but that they just refuse to allow you access to your money. I asked to move the money through wire transfer to my bank account with US BANK who would validate my identity because they are awesome. They refused. They won't even close your account when you tell them too. I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS. DON'T USE THEM. Go to US Bank, who offers second chance bank accounts.

First off I will start by saying I have had 2 cards thru walmart for many years. On Thursday, Aug 20th, after attempting to pay a bill and getting a declined response I contacted customer service and found out an unauthorized charge had been made to my card. I was told I would have to wait till it posts before I could dispute it. Today I receive an email telling my new card is being processed (no one informed me of this yesterday) so once again I call customer service and am told that my card has been locked and I could go online within the next two days to transfer the money to my other card.
After hanging up I try logging into my account only to be notified I am locked out... Once again another call to customer service. This time the rude representative informs me it will be 2 business days before I can access my account and there is nothing she can do about it. I ask for a supervisor. She returns after putting me on hold for 5 mins that a supervisor is unwilling to discuss this with me. I demand to talk to a supervisor and am again refused. I only use this card to pay my car payment. I have done my part by earning the money and it being there but because of the horrible customer service I will not be able to pay my bill on time incurring late fees and a negative mark on my credit score. Everyone there needs training in customer service and conflict resolution. Once this is taken care of my cards will be burned and my money will be put elsewhere. Do Not Use these cards. The headaches are not worth the minimal convenience they can offer.

I have had a Walmart MoneyCard for over 5 years now and the MoneyCard itself has been a good experience. This, however, is a review of the customer service for Walmart MoneyCard. Having to contact their customer service is always a horrible and aggravating experience. While the customer service reps all speak English, they don't speak it very well. They usually have accents that are too thick for me to understand what they are saying, and because they are not accustomed to the practice of speaking "everyday socialized American English" which causes a huge miscommunication problem.
You'd think that with the billions of dollars that Walmart makes every year, they could not only afford to staff a customer service call center here in the US, but that they would value their loyal paying customers enough to go to every possible length to provide those loyal paying customers with the best possible customer service that they could possibly give them. Instead, they give you good customer service just long enough for you to hand your cash over to them and then once that happens, they don't really care whether you can access it or not. This practice is absolutely shameful on Walmart's part. People work very hard for what little money they have and Walmart treats that money as if they don't care whether you're able to access it or not.

I have the basic Wal-Mart money card for my ENTIRE check to be direct deposited. However, I lost my card and went thru the steps to obtain a new one. I explained to them that my employer does not issue paper checks and I don't have another bank account and I wanted to know if there was a way that I could receive the card faster than their options allowed. Keep in mind if my check is deposited on that card then I have no money without it. They couldn't issue a replacement card with any other option. I asked if I purchased another card could they just transfer the money to that one and I was told NO.
They couldn't provide tracking on the replacement card even though they were the ones who sent the card to me. I paid $15 extra to ensure the card would be delivered fast. It was no use speaking to someone who understands very little English. I asked what was the procedure for cancelling the account because they sucked and they refuse to accommodate a person when we are supposed to be the valued customers in all of this. I HATE the Wal-Mart money card because there was no convenience to any of this on my behalf and I wouldn't recommend it to no one.

I have been a card holder for 2 years now. I was charged by a company twice on accident. I called that company and they were not helpful so I called Walmart card customer service and said I would like to dispute the transaction. They took some information, then forwarded me to an automated recording saying that they would start the process of the dispute but that I had to go online, download, and fax over the dispute form. I never did this as the money from the company was back on my card 2 days later. A few days later my paycheck was deposited and went through just fine. A week after this, I went to make a purchase and was declined.
I called Walmart again and they said that the card had been closed because I disputed the transaction. They had NEVER told me the entire card would be shut down. They said it is their policy. I asked why I was not told this would happen. They said it's stated on the papers I signed when I got the card. Funny, because I never signed papers!! I purchased the card at a Walmart store, and then 2 weeks later they sent me the permanent card. Not once was anything signed. So as of today, I have not been able to access any of my last paycheck which was put on the card a week ago. They said that I should receive the new card in 2 WEEKS. I told them that is UNACCEPTABLE. I NEED MY MONEY.
They said they can send me ANOTHER card with 5 days expedited and THEN tried to charge me for it. Between my fiance and I we spent 2 hours on the phone with them asking for people higher up and them arguing with us about it. The final outcome is that I am having to wait until the card comes in hopefully this Friday and until then they have given me no access to my paycheck. They don't have a transfer option to put it on another card that I buy at the store. They "can't" give me the numbers off the newly issued card so I can at least pay my bills online. I can't go to a store and get any money out because I don't have a card to swipe. They have literally left me with no access to my money for a week now.

My card was compromised, I spoke to a woman who barely spoke English, she said a refund check would be sent to me in about a week. Still no refund check and I can't get any prepaid Visa cards anywhere else because of my card being compromised. It is unfair to be blocked from getting any prepaid cards anywhere because my card was compromised , it wasn't my fault and I feel they don't have a right to block anybody from getting cards. I have tried to call their customer service but can't get through. After putting in my card number, a message says a refund check was sent and automatically hangs up. Their customer service people are rude, they didn't even offer to send me another card because it had been compromised, they blocked me completely. Totally unprofessional business practices and Wal-Mart MoneyCard should be shut down permanently.

I have have this card for over a year. On August the 25 somehow, someway, someone took 210$. I called and made a report about it. I was told they would look in to. So today when I got home from work I called my card thinking my $$ would be back on my card. It wasn't so I called again only to be told I won't get my $$$ back. I think Walmart should be banned from doing prepay cards. I work hard for my $$ and they act like they didn't even care.

Wanted a personalized card so I bought a Walmart MoneyCard. They told me I had to wait till I got my permanent card to order a personalized card. I waited then ordered my personalized card. When it came in, the card was solid black. I called customer service they told me to cut up the new card and go back online to retry to make my personalized card. So I did. Online wouldn't let me remake the card so I called customer service back only to find out they activated the card they told me to cut up and they were going to have to freeze my account in order to send me a new personalized card. I received the new card. Once again it's plain black. I called customer service they said they would have to freeze my account again to send me another card. I said, "NO don't freeze my account."
Never got to speak to somebody that English was their first language. Spoke to 13 different customer service agents and supervisors. Never did get a call back from upper management and I caught every single one of them in a lie one way or another from, "I am the only supervisor here," to "I am the head honcho." I'm gonna take my business elsewhere and tell everybody I know about what happened to me and I'm gonna write a bad review everywhere I can on the internet.

Get off phone with Americans cause y'all suck. Like playing with people's life. Things go crazy in America when ya mess with one's money. I am more than highly pissed. I want revenge cause where is my money. I NEED IT NOW NOT 2 DAMN WEEKS. Just have to keep check in pocket. Never them again. EVER. Only good for whores on backpage.

Worst customer service ever. I got one of their preferred card. Put the 20 dollars on it and activated it like I was supposed to and never got a card. So I called and was told that they were not able to verify my info. Ok don't know why since I already have the blue regular card from Walmart but that's ok. I was told that this card now was just a gift card and when I had spent the money on it that it would be done. Then they turn around and take out a 3 dollar service fee on a card that I can not use and was told was a gift card.
When I called and talked to an agent I was told over and over that it is a service fee for having a prepaid card even though I was not able to reload the card. I was hung up on twice and when I asked for a supervisor I was told no and hung up on again. Worst customer service ever and I work at a call center myself and would never treat a caller in that way. I will never get a Walmart card again. Worst card ever. All they do is rip off your money.

This is one of the worst cards I have ever put money on. Please if you need a money card, do a visa or really ANYTHING else. I put money in this card so I could buy something from Amazon. Which I couldn't do because Amazon does not accept this card until you wait the two weeks to get a card with your name on it. And to get the card with your name on it, they have to deactivate your current card that you just bought. So you better hope you don't need the money on your temporary card, because you won't be able to use it for at least two weeks. I could barely understand the two people who were talking to me on the phone. One of the worst cards. And definitely worst customer service.

And after trying multiply times it kept saying that I would be able to use my card in two business days and my card would be shipped in, but I still haven't received it and well I'm out of money on the card and now I can't order anything cause my card is not working, so I won't buy a money card again. But at least they can send me a money refund. That would be great.

I have had Wal-Mart MoneyCard for the past 2 years and I have never had a complaint until now. I called Wal-Mart Money Card customer service and advised I did not get replacement cards for my cards that were expiring for the month of July 2015. I was told not to worry my cards will be mailed out and I could still use my primary card to get money out until then. That information was false and I called to speak with a supervisor and was told that I would have to wait for card delivery for the 12th of August. That is 5 days after I get paid and days after my bills are due. I will not continue service with them since telling lies and not knowing process is a practice of this company.

Please don't purchase this card. I bought it yesterday from a local Walmart store. I put money on it at the register so that I can go home and make some payments online. Every time I called to activate the card it keep stating that it is unable to complete my transaction and to call back later. I called the number on the back of the card. A customer service representative stated the same thing that she was unable to help me as well. I asked "how can I receive a refund?" She explain that she could not process it because the system is down and doesn't know when it will back up. I tried again today and their system still will not let me active a card that I paid my money for nor I can't receive a refund. Don't waste your money and time on this product.

I have replied with STOP as stated in the messages if you no longer want to receive updates over 50 times. I have went to our local Walmart and talked with the management with no luck. I have searched the internet and found you can't talk with anyone live at this company. Really tired with this BS that has been going on for 6 months now!!!
