    My card was blocked and I was given the runaround. The workaround is to link it to your Paypal acct using the routing and acct # and send it to a friend. Takes about a week. It works. Won’t use again.

    Someone gave me a MoneyPak number then place a claim on it and now my account is blocked. There is more money on my account than the amount of the MoneyPak number that was given to me for payment for services I gave to the person. I need you to release the my money.

    I received a new card from my tax preparer. Upon activating it online, I was told the card was invalid. I called multiple times to speak to a person only to be transferred right back to the automated system. The representatives were not helpful whatsoever and one actually told me to call back in a hour then HUNG UP ON ME. I called back AGAIN this morning and was told that they have voided my card that already had a deposit coming through it. Will never ever recommend anyone to use this card and Walmart needs to work on their customer service. We need people who can actually understand what we are asking for. This is absolutely ridiculous. Get it together.

    I have had this card, and decided to use the direct deposit feature. I was supposed to have received a deposit on 2/8/19. I’ve contacted my payroll department and said that the deposit was confirmed by MoneyCard. It’s 1:24pm, still nothing. Trying to call customer service is a joke!! They’re outsourced workers who are rude and don’t speak English. They won’t help me with my situation. I need my money. I have bills to pay. Also, I decided to deposit a check through the mobile app because it says 1-5 days to process. Once I submitted my check, app says my funds won’t be available until 2/15/19. Service is horrible. Holding my money hostage.

    In November 2018, I had an unauthorized transaction on my account for $109.99. I disputed the transaction through the company and Walmart MoneyCard (once I filed a dispute they closed my account) and was told by Walmart MoneyCard that I would get my money back. They claim they had completed my dispute at the end of Nov. and had put the money back into my account (which was closed and I have no access to). They then stated they would send me a refund check that would take 2 days to process and 14 days to receive. I have been trying to get my refund check from an unauthorized transaction that occurred on Nov. 15, 2018 that I still to this day have not gotten.

    I cannot understand why I STILL have not received this refund, but have been told by over 15 different customer service reps that a check was being mailed each time I spoke to someone. I have not received my check and I am beyond disappointed in the service that I have received from walmart moneycard and the Greendot Corporation. I have been a customer for over 10 years and can't believe this is how you would do customers with their money. I need a check send overnight to me (I shouldn't have to wait another 16 days for this check that never comes). I would recommend that no one uses this company and will use go on every website, review site, etc. To let people know how they are willing to do customers.

    The first thing that bothers me with this Walmart MoneyCard I went out to Kohls and then deposit dated took off of my car. They were not able to put back on my car so I am not receive my money back yet I have to go and open a pink an account for them to refund me my money. The second issue is anyone can go online and egg is if they are you and can’t see your car and you’re stuck with no money for seven days or you have to pay $15 in order to get another car shipped to you at Rush. I’m not my job for the simple fact is they might’ve killed them a call and an automated system and I had no money to get to work.

    I purchased the Walmart MoneyCard 3 weeks ago to take advantage of possibly getting paid a couple days earlier. I immediately activated my temporary card and set up my direct deposit from my employer as I was instructed to do. I did not get my direct deposit any sooner and I still have not received my permanent card in the mail which is the only card I can use to withdraw cash even though on the info about the card when you purchase it leads you to believe you may still get cash back where available and if you call customer service they can unlock your temp card to use an ATM which I found out after having all my money deposited on the card was a lie...

    I can’t get cash to pay one loan I owe that only takes cash and when calling customer service it took 3 days to finally talk to someone and even then got no help at all. 3 weeks later and after being told for the past 12 days that my card was at my local post office soon to be delivered to my door. I have had to reorder another card. So here I sit unable to touch my money about to be two payments delinquent on a payday loan and still no end to my frustration in the near future... Could use some help Walmart.

    I purchased 2 cards for my children in college so they could have their financial aid direct deposited to the cards and so I could send them money when needed. On 2/1/2019, nearly $10,000 was deposited between the two cards for my kids' student loans. My kids went to pay their tuition on 2/3/2019 and their cards were declined. They went to the atm to withdraw money and was told the cards were deactivated. No email notices, nothing in the mail, no nothing. I called customer service and was told that both cards were blocked because of direct deposits over $3,500. I had to email a copy of my driver's license and proof of what the direct deposits were for. I was assured it would be taken care of within 24 hours but nothing.

    I have called nearly ten times, sent numerous emails etc, all getting nowhere. I sit on hold for hours, can never speak to someone who understands English, and they refuse to transfer me to a supervisor. I have now been told, 2 days, 5 more days, etc. This is fraud and theft. I have done nothing wrong yet the cards for my kids with their student loans are blocked and frozen. My kids are now at risk of getting suspended from college because they cannot make their tuition payments. I have read many reviews of Walmart Moneycard and Green Dot card and this seems to be a common occurrence.

    I suspect that they steal money from other accounts to fund their business then illegally place holds on other accounts with large deposits to pay back the other accounts they have stolen money from like a Ponzi scheme. If this is not resolved within the next 24 hours I will be filing fraud and theft charges and reports with the Attorney General, FTC, and Federal Reserve. Stay away from this card at all costs!

    Will not allow me to check past transactions. I tried calling the phone number on the card, and got a voice message, trying to sell me things I don't want.

    Called the number again and a recording for a survey to win money. Could not get balance, nor transactions. I went to the Wal-Mart money website, and rejected the card information. I used this card to pay for Amazon Prime, Now I have Amazon Prime saying there was a problem with the card. They ran it through again, and it was declined. I put money on this card and it disappeared. I am angry that I can't get this resolved. I would not recommend this prepaid card to anyone.

    I had mobile deposited a check on Feb. 1st, 2019. It says in my account transaction date Feb. 4th, 2019 and my funds will not be able the 11th. I tried calling 3 times to be runaround in a circle of no solution. I am confused because first they said they had no record of me uploading a check. Now they say there is but for the 4th. But that's impossible if it's the 3rd and I have a record of depositing the 1st. I tried cancelling my account to void my check but they said that won't be possible even if I pay the $5 fee.

    It's unbelievable to be able to get ahold of someone who understands what you're talking about and hardly any number to even discuss this issue. I will not be using this card ever again and recommend that you don't either. They lie. Say they have no corporate number to call them. Their supervisors was very rude. I don't understand why you're gonna hold onto 231.76 for 11 days. Your business days should count the weekends if you answering calls on the weekend. Let alone I had submitted my check on the 1st. I don't understand why that is not going counted or hiding record of that. This is a shady business who has failed to answer/solve and will be letting everyone know about this company.

    This is the worst pre-paid debit card I have ever purchased. I pre-paid $50 to make a one time purchase online, you cannot make a purchase without paying the $5 fee and if you don’t use the card and have a small balance ($1.39) you get charged $5 giving you a negative balance. The fees are ridiculous. They won’t help with my dispute. You cannot close the card unless there is a $0 balance and you cannot close it through the app and the 866 number, unless you press the right number it will hang up on you, not to mention Walmart this large American based company that outsources its call center so you have to deal with a person that cannot understand what you are asking for.

    I’m saying, "Keep the $1.39 and close the account," they refused until I use the $1.39. How ridiculous. You take more than that in fees and now that I’m okay with you just keeping the small amount you won’t... What a Scam. So many scamming individuals and companies it’s discouraging to buy online. Shame on Walmart and their greedy practices.

    There are always issues with this card! When you call to speak to someone they don't understand you or you don't understand them! Then when you ask to speak to someone else they have an attitude. There are always some type of an issue when it comes to this bank. I will NEVER use this card again. I DO not recommend unless you will be using the card for minor things like gas or small purchases. They've taken money from me on multiple accounts! Complete scam! If I could give it NO STARS I would!

    At first I thought MoneyCard was great. I didn't notice any issues and the notifications were great and I did receive my check early. However I made a Walmart.com purchase at Christmas time and was double charged. It is now February. I have called at least 10 times and no one has ever gotten my money back to me. So unprofessional and not to mention left me struggling during Christmas time. And then I also have phone service through Walmart Family Mobile. Last month I was charged twice for my phone bill and once again no one could get my money back like they are all ignorant. I have the transactions list.

    At this point I have been self balancing my account and I should have more money in my account than they calculate it at for the past two months!!! Needless to say I switched banks and will never ever go back and I highly suggest you don't put yourself in the position to get ripped off like I have!! Maybe it's a random case of bad luck but certainly not worth the risk!!

    Please tell me how ME loading $45 onto my card at the gas station is suspicious? Suspicious enough for there to be a block put onto my card? I’ve been given 3 case numbers now and every time I’ve sent my ID and 7-11 receipt for the transaction I MADE. Then last night they tell me I have to send it with a different case number AND my tax refund info for the deposit I was supposed to on the 30th. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever dealt with. How can you punish someone who loaded funds onto THEIR OWN CARD. Isn’t that the point of this MoneyCard? I’ve sent at least 50 emails to verify my info and I still can’t use my card.

    I’ve called over 20 times in regards to my card! I ordered a replacement card on 01/18 it’s 02/1 - still no card! The representatives LITERALLY played around on the phone as if it’s a joke to them on people not able to access their funds! One rep LITERALLY cancel the card that was ship to me & order a new card. Now I have to wait more days to get a card! I HAVE BILLS! I’ll never recommend this prepaid services to anybody unless you all hired some AMERICANS to do the job RIGHT! One rep went into my account, CHANGED my phone number so I couldn’t verify my account! The 2nd rep told me my number wasn’t on file nor my social! The 3rd rep asked me can she call me my first name & I told her she can call me by my last name! She sat & LAUGH asking was my last name, my first name then tells me she can’t assist cause she don’t see my account!

    Last rep I got was the SWEETEST person I’ve gotten since I been calling customer care! I didn’t take the survey due to the previous reps and didn’t want to give them any type of good feedback and I honestly feel bad not doing her survey. When asking for SUPERVISOR, they will transfer you back into their queue. It’s not right to do anybody this way. I’m behind on my bills now because I have to wait on my card yet another 7-10 days. Don’t have a check to take to Walmart to cash & now have to literally beg a worker at a Walmart to give me a check to cash. This is unbelievable. You guys may not care cause it’s not your money. But I have 4 small children and bills I have to pay on and for. I’m upset and very disappointed. This is not right at all. If I wouldn't literally have to give you guys 1 star to save this review. I wouldn’t give you the one. This is all 0’s until you guys are able to get better reps.

    I have been getting my card frozen every Thursday for over a month. this just so happens to be the day my paycheck deposits and it has royally screwed me numerous times paying rent and utilities. It seems to be frozen for anywhere from 1 hour to 3 days no warning no reason given over the phone. When I call the support number they tell me there was a fraud alert that was a mistake. I call BS.

    Also there is a new policy in place that forces you to get the personalized card mailed to you which takes 7-10 business days and since you have no access to cash during this time and the temporary card becomes invalid the moment you request the new card you are stuck with zero funds for 10 days if you receive the card at all. Today my card is frozen declining everywhere, I have a $600 balance, have been on hold for 3 1/2 hours hearing the high call volume message play over and over. I am beyond angry.

    Once this issue gets fixed I am buying a money order to clear out my account and go cash it through a new bank. I have been a loyal customer for over a decade and have probably referred close to 100 people to your services but I am over all of these problems and policy changes that basically dictate what I can and cannot do with MY money. I am also filing complaints with the BBB and Attorney Generals office as these random freezes with no warning and no real reason given are illegal.

    I've recently had my card blocked after having tax return put on card. They said it look suspicious. I thought this is one of the things the card was for. Now that is locked. After repeated attempts of sending them the information and documents they want I still cannot get it unblocked. The money on the card is mine and I want it.

    So I had this card for a little while. Today I put 700 dollars on the card and then tried to verify it using the website. I couldn't get in due to them having an old phone and email address. So I called them to get it changed. After giving them all of my info they kept sending me in circles, so I got frustrated with that person and hung up. Afterwards he immediately put a block on my card. When I tried to call them, a machine says that I have to send a pic of my licenses to them to verify my identity. However I still can't get into the account to send the info because they have old info. The customer service line will not let me through to a person and just says the same thing. So they just took 700 dollars from me because I hung up on them and I have no way to get it back or even talk to them. So yeah... They just robbed me.

    I had a Walmart Moneycard that was sent to me in my old name. When I gave the Direct Deposit slip to my employer and then went to activate the card, I was unable to do so. I was unsuccessful with speaking with customer service. I was unable to register my card in my new government name. The system said that it couldnt verify me. I thought that was odd. So, I had to void the direct deposit slip that I sent to my employer until I spoke with someone. Well, this friend of mine called them through his Walmart card. CSR told me that they werent able to verify who I was, even though I also tried to use my former last name. I was told that I wasnt able to be issued a permanent card because I couldnt be verified. I've had Walmart cards before and never had this kind of ** issue out them. So, I will advise anyone to not purchase a Walmart MoneyCard because you wont be able to update your last name, address or anything. It's just a waste of time.

    I have called the customer service department FOUR times and regarding a charge for 50.00 on 07/07 for a Dr appointment that the office is saying they never received and they have sent me to collections. I have asked for this payment to be cancelled and refunded back to me so that I can get them paid again! THEY SAY THEY DID NOT RECEIVE IT, I have sent them the copy of the bank statement and they don't have it. How hard is it to get the stupid customer service reps to listen to my request. THIS IS MY MONEY and I have a request and I just get kick back. I want this 50.00 REFUNDED back to my account to get it paid again!!! What does it take to get this done. I have had this card for years and I am so ready to cancel it and just go to my regular bank where I don't have to deal with the stupid people in customer service.

    I’ve always used the Walmart MoneyCard and never had a problem until now. I loaded cash onto my card at the store yesterday and it was just fine. My 2018 tax refund was supposed to be deposited this morning... but NOPE. I don’t understand how you can call, upload and send proof of who you are, only to be told the review will take 5-10 business days and that there’s nothing they can do. Like, seriously??? Even wanted to see proof that I did in fact load $45 onto the card and wanted to see my tax return. How can you call and basically verify your life and send what they asked for, for absolutely nothing? And apparently there’s no one high enough to talk to? It’s 2019, and with all this technology, you mean to tell me that you can verify someone’s information for over a week? Nothing about this ok.

    I have been using Wal-Mart Moneycard for over a year and I am done... I am on SSDI with scheduled deposits regularly on the 3rd of the month. Wal-Mart Moneycard started having my deposits in 4 days prior to social security scheduled date. This month it is actually scheduled to for the 1st and now somehow my deposit is not in my account as it has been in the past. When I call and email customer service is completely inadequate and no one ever has an answer for any of my questions. I depend on my funds for living and really cannot deal with inconsistency and reps that don't know what they are doing.

    Customer service sucks. Can't understand them. They can never help. It’s always a, “We will let someone know and it will take 5 or more days to get back to you.” Couldn't get on the MoneyCard website for my account. Called and asked for help. No HELP. Was stuck for several days without money. Try to talk to anyone and they don't care and for a supervisor and they keep you on hold for 10 minutes hoping you will hang up. I have had nothing but issues. Being a veteran I come across a lot of other veterans who ask about this card and I make sure to tell them how I have gotten no help or support the number you call is horrible. Can't understand the people who answer and they can't help with anything.

    I would like to start by saying I have been a MoneyCard holder for 4 years. I have NEVER had a good experience with customer service. Here recently I've had one issue after another with this card. I got married so I called in to change my last name. But they keep trying to get me to close my account and start a new one. I don't want to because I paid for a card with an image on it and they no long sell those cards. I finally get a call back from a supervisor who informed me that I could change my name by sending an email with the proper docs. Unfortunately I wasn't able to write down the email at the time of the call. When I called back to get the email address I was told I had to open another account again. So I had to request a call back from a higher supervisor again. Still waiting for that call.

    Another issue aside from customer service being limited to just transaction disputes is the app and website. The past few weeks I've been having issues getting my money. I use the vault to make sure my money is secure. Well it is, so much in fact that I can't hardly get my money transferred back over to my available funds and once I manage to get it transferred I still have trouble with my purchase being denied. So I tried to simply pull funds off the card at the Walmart Money Center. It denied the transaction as well. And yet again customer service was of no help. This card has great potential. But as of right now with the horrible customer service, lack of being able to access funds and not being able to easily change name, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

    One last thing my card was about to expire and they didn't want to honor the image card I paid for. They were going to send a regular card but I was able to get them to honor what I had paid for in the end. It was a headache to get but they did send my image card. I believe that because they no longer sell this card that they keep pushing me to open a different account. The fact that I could have a picture with my daughter and I was the main reason I chose Walmart MoneyCard to begin with. So I switched to PayPal. They offer all the same as Walmart but do not charge a monthly fee and have far more options and real customer service.

    Wow, where do I begin? First off. Me and my wife did not pay for this card. It was sent randomly in the mail with instructions as to how to activate it. And so we did. Fast-forward to a couple days afterward when we needed it to transfer some funds from our PayPal account. The transfer went through without a glitch. Hours later we went to the local ATM to withdraw these funds. We were met with, obviously, a request to enter our PIN, a PIN we never established with the card. No problem, let’s just call customer service and they’ll probably reset it for us. WISHFUL THINKING. And from there it only got worse. We were told that we needed to create an online account for the card and that we would only be able to obtain the PIN through Walmart Money Card website. So we log in only to find out that they don’t help you but with a referral to where you should go... Hence, the Walmart Money Card Application.

    And so, we proceeded to download the app. After a bunch of red tape we finally came to the home page only to discover that there was NOT an option to reset or ask for our PIN. So we call customer service and I tell them this new information and they don’t believe me. One guy even said, "oh, come now, sir, this isn’t a good time for jokes!" Repeated the same info to at least 15 representatives and I’ve yet to withdraw money from this stupid, god-awful card and Application. Funny how they would actually have the ** to say that I wasn’t looking at what I was looking at! In-cred-i-ble! No one never called me or helped me resolve this case. I had the worse experience with these people. And guess what? That money is STILL on the card and I can’t even access it. Damn shame!

    I had 916.00 fraudulently taken off of my card 4 months ago. I have been waiting on a refund check in this amount for over 2 months now. I am now waiting on check number 3 because I never received the first two checks that were supposedly sent out. I can never speak with a supervisor and I never received a call from corporate as promised. This has been the worst experience of my life. I’m behind on bills and none of the agents seem to care nor have they been helpful. I will file a complaint with the BBB and I would never recommend this card to anyone.

    I received my last paycheck from work for almost $500. I couldn’t cash it anywhere here in AZ because it was a bank that was based out of NV. So I decided to do the mobile deposit on the Walmart money app, which rarely works and now I see why. This time it went through and then proceeded to tell me my money won’t go through until Jan. 30. I put the check through on the 23rd. I called to ask why it wouldn’t go into my account for almost a week. The first woman wasn’t even answering or understanding my question so I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me it was just their “procedures” and when I asked to cancel the check that couldn’t be done either. Once this check goes through I will no longer be using the Walmart MoneyCard. Too many problems that are never resolved.

    My experience started out great and slowly changed. I set up direct deposit to this card. Before doing so I noticed that a new card was being sent to me. I contacted them and advised them that they wouldn’t be able to send a new card to my physical address because I don’t receive mail at that address. I was told that it would be fine and I’d still be able to use the current card that I had. Fast forward to today, my direct deposit shows as available and I go to use my card and it declines. I reached out and the rep explained that my card was blocked and I wouldn’t have access to my money until I was able to receive a new card.

    They offered to send out a new card that it would take THREE BUSINESS days to receive. To top it off I would be charged $15.00 to have the card sent via FedEx. When I Voiced my concern both representatives were completely unconcerned with anything I had to say. This was the worse experience I have ever had with any company. My money is being held hostage and the company is basically refusing to assist me with rectifying this situation. I am more than disappointed. The only reason I rated this as one star is because it wouldn’t let me move forward without entering a rating. I would absolutely give 0 stars if I could.

    My direct deposit was applied to my card this morning like any other deposit. I tried to purchase gas and something across the street. I pulled up the account & my current balance is $800+ but my card says "not authorized". I have not received a call or email about fraudulent activity. I'm stranded, I need to pay bills, yet I have been on hold for 2 hours waiting for customer service! This is UNACCEPTABLE!

    I had some fraud on my card. Called in - the first agent was rude and hung up the phone in my face. Called back - talked to some girl. She cancelled my card - told me that I had to wait until Jan 18 to receive my card. Jan 18 came. Called back because the card wasn't in the mail. I called back and the chic on the phone stated that I can transfer money onto another Walmart or Green Dot card which I have. She placed me on hold to talking about let her check her resources then said that I couldn't use that function - I just needed to wait on the new card. Spoke to the supposedly manger who was no help at and he was like, "Well you gonna just wait." I did wait 'til the 18 patiently for the new card to arrive. I will be pulling my money off this card and changing my direct deposit immediately. There should be some way that funds could still be accessed especially from the app or calling customer service.

    I have this card for almost a year. Never had any problems until 4 months ago when someone hack my account and stole over $300 from me (different state). I just assumed it was my fault for using my card at any atm (due to scamming going on) not being caution about it, so I did the necessary paperwork and received my new card. I was very upset, but I did get my money back with no problems. So now a couple of days ago same thing happened again but this time it was $12 for a whole different state (I’m extra caution so it’s no way this could had happened again), now this was it for me to bounce and open a regular bank account. I truly think they are doing duplicate on people cards and it’s no real protection over your hard earn working money. I refuse to deal with this unnecessary stress. SO BEWARE!!!

    I was a HUGE fan of the Walmart money card until recently. I had my card for 8 years with no issue. Recently, I made a purchase at a store with a bank card. After I started to use the MoneyCard I closed that account down. Well A few months later I had to return an item that I had purchased on my old bank’s ATM card and I called MoneyCard to ask how to proceed. They told me that I was fine and could put the money on my MoneyCard. Unfortunately, that customer service rep was wrong! No you can’t. I was not aware that you could not do a return from another store (that you have not purchased the item with the MoneyCard.)

    Two days after the return they shut off my card with no warning and are holding my money ransom. I have begged for a supervisor to call me and as to date no one has! They won’t even let me finish using the availability funds. These people LITERALLY stole my money!!! I cannot believe this is legal! There is no one that will help me! Judging by all of these complaints, I’m not the only one and they don’t care! Why is no one doing anything about this! Class action lawsuit anyone???

    I have had my card for over 5 years, and last week I checked my app and my balance seemed low, I could not load the transaction screen on my app for weeks. Finally the thieves took every penny I had and my card declined. I called customer service and was treated extremely poorly, was hung up on 3 times. I demanded a supervisor and was still treated very poorly. I have all names and ID numbers of the reps and will be filing an official complaint somewhere once the government is open.

    But long story short I’ve trusted this company with my money and they let me down, then their customer service reps treated me like I was the thief. My card was used in 3 states within 15 minutes, even declined a few of my transactions, but no red flag was raised to stop the card. Also my text alerts were not received for the fraudulent transactions. There were 28 charges with over $600 stolen!!! This company hasn’t stopped my card previously because I used Amazon, so why would they allow this to happen. They have poor security, poor customer service and have yet to return a penny to me.

Well for 5 days now I’ve been trying to get a code and it’s not sending me a code but I get a text from them daily of my balance.     My school deposited a $6500 refund on my Wal-Mart money card on Tuesday. It is now Friday and there is still a block on my account. I have been given the run around about money. I was told to send in a copy of my license front and back. They said after they receive the documents it would take 5 days to process. I called to verify they received the documents and now they are saying I need to send in more information and it will be another 5 business days. I have no money and my bills are due and these people are playing with my money. They also are all outsourced calls and they will not let me speak to a manager.

    I purchased a Walmart MoneyCard last year May 2018. I have been using the card as Direct Deposit from the moment I purchased it. On December 22, 2018, I went to the store and tried to make a purchase and the Merchant said my card declined! I asked him if he could try it again, because I'd just got paid the day before and I hadn't really spent any money. He did and it declined it again. As soon as I got to the card, I called the number on the back of the card and it said that my card was blocked! It also said that I have to go to the website and upload a Passport, Driver's License or a State issued ID.

    Once I got home I went to the site and uploaded a copy of DL front and back. I checked it the next day and it said that it could not verify my documents and that my card was blocked and no longer could be used nor could I get another card! I tried everything I could to get a live person on the phone! I called Walmart Corporate Office, I called Green Dot Bank, and Green Dot Corporate office.

    It is not January 11, 2019 and I have not spoken to anyone! I wrote a complaint to the BBB and now I am going to the media! I am a single mother who works extremely hard for my money. I had to borrow to pay my car insurance, because I had it set up for auto draft and because Green Dot blocked my card, my insurance was canceled! I do admit, I never had any issues up until now. I feel like they stole my money! It's just not fair and I am not taking this sitting down.

    I’ve had my card for about four years... Never had an issue verifying my information. Then at the end of 2018 I called and I’m told they can’t verify my birthday so I can’t be helped. Can’t speak to a supervisor until I verify the correct bday although my bday has never changed... Rude customer service and uncaring... Called from my number on the account verified everything but my bday which was right for four years. All of a sudden wrong... Can’t get the assistance I need. Never had this issue with Walmart or any other company.

    They don’t allow you to send email proof so I’m basically stuck with the overcharge on my account because Walmart will not help me... Definitely canceling this card as soon as my direct deposit is switched to an actual bank where customer service is in my state and I can go in if there’s an issue. I’ve also noticed Walmart does not respond to negative reviews... I see where they thank those that have given them five stars but has not responded to any of the one or two star reviews. Sounds like a guilty party to me... I won’t hold my breath on a response from them.

    I have had a MoneyCard about a year now. Never received my personalized card. I never cancelled my card due to all my bills electronically coming out of this card. Never had an issue until today when I went to transfer money to another card and it declined. Checked my account with over 1600 dollars and it said it was blocked. Contacted the non English speaking customer service who are rude and unempathetic who could only tell me policy changed. Well it would be nice to notify customers of things like this.

    All of my bills will now bounce or not be paid. All of my funds are tied I up therefore I can't buy food, gas, medication or any other necessity needed. My granddaughter has asthma. Guess what? No inhaler. And the only response I get is someone will call me in 24-48 hours. This is going to cost me many fees for the things that electronically come out. My insurance, my rent, my electricity, my gas - everything. This is totally unacceptable. There is no reason as to why customers don't need to be notified of these type of things. Attorney General will definitely be getting a complaint filed. I don't play about my granddaughter's asthma. If we aren't able to purchase meds we will be forced to visit the ER every time she needs a breathing treatment. I am going to be out of so much money because of this inconsiderate action. Wait 24-48 hours that I don't have.

    I have had the card for about 3 years now. Recently I can not log into my account online. It states my info is not verifiable, I called customer service. They attempted to send a code to phone or email but never received. Something fishy is going on, so I'm cancelling card, especially since the call center is out of country and they seem to not know what they're doing. I need a card with better customer service and better security..I believe that there is a breach fraud in the system because many people on this review board are having the same type of issues.

    I have direct deposit from both of my employers going to this card. They blocked my card and failed to notify me, when I sent an email due to my inability to access my account online they assured me that they would contact me within 24 to 48 hours and never did, I am now stuck at work and they are rejecting my direct deposit back to my employer who will take 2 weeks to reissue payment. I trusted them with my payroll and now I can't pay my bills or feed my kids.

    I have had 2 Walmart MoneyCards for several years. Approx Dec 10, 2018 I was unable to log in to my online account to transfer money out of the vault for Xmas shopping. Needless to say it is now Jan 5, 2109. After uncountable calls to customer service, numerous no return calls from supervisors I still cannot access my money. They are rude, liars. I tried to close my accounts and asked to have all funds mailed to me and was told to wait for a phone call in next 48 hours from corporate on this. And they still have my money.

    The only satisfaction I have had so far is I am not alone in this. After reading reviews I see multiple people having same problem originating about the same time. What I have been able to find out is Green Dot Bank... The actual bank associated with this card has its servers down, for what reason I don't know. It's almost 30 days and no relief in sight... Have contacted an attorney and will be suing. It would've been easier to mail me my some odd $500, now it will cost this company a lot more money...

    My grandma purchased this card by accident for my son’s birthday gift. I called in and spoke to someone who told me we would receive a refund check in the mail in a couple weeks. It has since been almost 2 months and I haven’t received the refund. When I call customer service I get help to a certain point then told, "Let me transfer you" to only get rerouted to the beginning answering service. Very frustrating. We just want my son to get his birthday gift.

    So a little over a month ago I noticed some fraudulent charges on my card. I immediately called Money Network and they "stated" that the fraudulent charges are "pending" and it will take 3 days for the funds to either "go through" for the transaction, meaning the thief gets the money, or I get the funds back into my account. IT'S PENDING! JUST CANCEL IT! Anyway. They then informed me they would send me a new card... Ok fast forward a little over a month to now. I checked my balance this morning and 4 different charges under a McDonald's and a Nando's both from a state in AFRICA equaling well over 100 dollars were "pending" but my funds were already taken from me.

    I immediately called and I GOT THE SAME RESPONSE. 3 days, etc. etc. when this issue should have been resolved AND I never got my new card in the mail, the manager even looked it up and confirmed it over the phone that the new card was never sent out. They even told me to call the McDonald's and Nando's in Africa to try and get a letter sent to Money Network to release my funds back to them. WHAT?! You want me to call Africa? Right after the call I drove home. "I was at work" and when I got home there was ANOTHER pending transaction from a McDonald's in a city in Africa! Within 15 min of getting off the phone with them! I've had enough of this experience. It was all ok until I came across fraudulent charges and I am very careful with where I use my card number and I am a creature of habit. So I will see what is going to happen in 3 days. Which is Sunday... Wish me luck.

    First off I like to state that I notice that they respond to the good reviews but not the bad ones and that should show what type of racket they running. I have had a Walmart money card for over 10 years and yes I have had problems in the past but nothing like this one. Dec. 27 my account was wiped out, yes while the card is in my wallet. I am signed up for text alerts and have been getting them up to that day. So that whole day I had no idea my account was being used. Well 3 days after I disputed it they denied it. They hadn't even received my dispute letter before denying it. Said I authorized the charges. I disputed it again.

    My question to them was, "What type of investigation did you do?" Well little do they know I did my own investigation at the store that they made bulk of the cash advances at and got a copy of the video of the couple making all the transactions on my account. So they did not investigate anything. Well I forward everything to my attorney. We are waiting on the next dispute outcome before taking legal matters.

    My card number was stolen online and someone made several purchases. They used $180.00 off my card and the only reason I found out as soon as I did was because I got an email. I called Walmart Money center (the number on the back of my card) and told them what happened and that I needed to report my card stolen that someone had just made $180.00 of fraudulent charges. The lady canceled my card but told me she couldn’t stop payment as they are still pending and I would need to call back when the payment posted!

    This happened on 12-30-2018. Today is Jan. 2, 2019. I checked my card balance online today and all transactions were posted and none of them were pending so I just called back and the lady told me they’re still pending so I wasn’t able to start the process to dispute the transactions! I was told to call back January 7! I was seeing red because clearly she wasn’t looking at the same screen as I was online! Their customer service is a joke. The people that take calls don’t speak English and then they get mad when you asked to be transferred to someone you can understand. They hang up you! Good luck talking to a supervisor or corporate office because they say there isn’t one!

    Oh did I mention when I had to call to report my stolen card that the lady never once told me I was going to get charged $3.00 for a replacement card! Only found that out while checking my transactions yesterday. You can’t do any online or over the phone. No one to talk to about fraud. Everything has to be mailed in to be disputed. They make it hard as possible. I’m assuming so people will give up and just say screw it.

    I don’t recommend anyone to buy Walmart Prepaid Visa card! The company is a joke, customer service is unbelievable, good luck getting someone to speak English, no one to talk to about fraudulent charge made, and just horrible customer service if that’s what you even want to call it! When I do get my money back I will no longer be using their card or services! Please use another company so you don’t have to go through what I’m going through if it was to ever happen to you! I will tell all my friends, family, co-workers, etc. About Walmart Moneycard!

    I have been a Walmart MoneyCard user since 2014 with no problems until recently. Someone got ahold of my card and started charging online in another state. I was worried reading the reviews about how it would be handled. My own experiences were amazing. I called Thur night to report the card missing and was treated with nothing but kindness. My replacement card already arrived and the dispute process was explained thoroughly and appears to be going smoothly. A happy customer I will remain. It’s always a tough situation to see fraud anywhere but to have them handle it in the way they did is what matters to me. Thank you Green Dot.

    I purchased this prepaid card for online car insurance and couldn't get verified, charged six dollars total and couldn't use it for anything more than in person purchases like using my own cash. I can prove my identity but they won't even provide a way for me to submit my identifiable information to be vetted. I have a passport, driver's license, birth certificate, and social security card for proof. Basically they take their fees and leave you to use the card in the same instances as cash. It's a scam through and through. I was a corrections officer for ten years. I can be verified by my government but not this prepaid card system. Green Dot bank and Walmart are scamming people, period.

    I don't usually review companies, but I feel as though this may save someone else a headache or possibly their hard-earned money. I did not have a problem with this company until an online order I placed did not go through. Although the company I placed the order with never debited the funds from my account, Walmart Money Card placed the amount as pending. Calling their customer service number is a waste of time and energy. You are given scripted answers to your questions. The representatives act as though they do not want to be bothered, will overtalk you, and hang up on you. After being hung up on four times, the fifth representative tried the same trick to avoid giving me a straight answer. He started repeating hello as though he couldn't hear me. I told him, "I know you can hear me and I was not hanging up."

    When I told him he could transfer me if he could not answer my question was when he finally spoke. He said, "Thank you for holding." I told him he didn't place me on hold and he responded, "Sorry for the miscommunication." I was given another generic answer. On 12/27 the transaction was pending on my account. On 1/1 the pending transaction disappeared but the money was not credited back. My last completed transaction shows what my account balance should be next to it. His answer to this was that it was posted back to my account but it takes their system a hour to cycle. In a hour the money will be added to my available balance.

    The problem with this answer is that at the beginning of this conversation I was told the pending transaction did not exist. I was then told that the money was refunded, even though he could not provide the date or the transaction in question. He said they did not share the same system as the company I tried placing the order with... I thought that was kind of obvious and an odd excuse for not being able to tell me the transactions on my account. Here it is 4 hours later and no surprise here, the money is still MIA. Once again being told whatever necessary to get me off the phone.

    I would have given this company a 5-star review before this incident. There are a few perks to using this card. I'm thankful in a way because now I know the level of incompetence within this company. Getting paid a day earlier isn't worth gambling with my income. I know customer service is not the easiest job in the world but I feel it's totally unethical to deceive customers just because you obviously can. A supervisor is never available and told they'll call you back within 4 hours if you press them to transfer you. I wouldn't wait by the phone though because they're not calling you. Doing my research online, it seems as though they only show some amount of empathy and concern when they're trying to do damage control. I don't know if this money disappeared because I was not satisfied with the generic responses. I've read other reviews saying their cards are froze and funds are missing. I'm not going to stick around to find out.

    So I have a 416.00 transaction on Dec. 19 for a part for my vehicle that I never received. The company that I purchased the part through says they have done every on "their end." That was Dec. 20. It is now Dec. 29 and my transaction still says in "pending." I called the foreign customer service agents at the number provided on the back of the card. They are telling me the money will not go back on my card until it falls out of pending status on FEBRUARY 20 2019. What??? If the transaction was cancelled, why is it not immediately put back on my card?

    My husband and I had the worse experience purchasing and using Walmart money cards... We bought 2 cards and spent over $600 for them to say we couldn’t activate one of them... Then had the nerve to say we have to wait 2 weeks like Christmas is not 2 days away. The customer service agents were horrible and one even hung up because we said we couldn’t understand him. They locked up our card and now we have to wait 2 weeks for money they took out in 2 seconds. I work customer service and I would never work for a company that did not know how to properly provide customer service or satisfaction. Please don’t waste your money on these Walmart money cards unless you plan on waiting 2-3 weeks to get your money back. And they make you at least give 1 star but they not even worth that smh. 0- out of 5 stars.

    I went to check my balance today and instead of my balance I received an automated message telling me my card was blocked and to not even try to load more money on it. The message went on to say that I could push two to agree that you understand and then the block will be removed and I can spend the balance but after that I AM BANNED FROM EVER HAVING A WALMART MONEYCARD FOR LIFE!

    I have 2 cards, one for my assistant editor to use to buy supplies, software etc. and customer service informed me that both cards had been flagged for “Suspicious activity” and my account has been closed and I am banned? From ever having another card. Sounds like arrest, trial and a life sentence WITHOUT ANY CHARGE OR EXPLANATION! I have done nothing wrong and strongly and with passion challenge this action!

    I want an explanation, banned? For life? Just like that? Out of the blue? After what? Twelve years of loyal patronage to this service who collected 3.75 per transaction and I bank with Walmart. I withdraw monies every week for the last 12 years, that’s a lot of service fees, typically I have to make 4-6 transactions per week, when I run team as a truck driver, getting my co-drivers pay which cost us around 15.00 week. And NO ONE WANTS OR NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHY THIS HAS BEEN DONE TO ME? I want satisfaction for being falsely accused.

    I have been a customer for a couple of years now. On November 29th I had my first dispute over an online company that had charged me. Green Dot customer assistance was great at that time and assisted me however I was getting a replacement card sent to me. Well now it's been one month. I still haven't received it. During this time I've called back and since November 16th they have changed their verification process and you have to know your phone number you used when you first set up your account. Me like I'm sure other people have changed my phone number several different times and have no idea what the one was that I used.

    Well you can go online should I update your phone number. But I never used it online account and I cannot create an account because as of November 29th I cut up the card that was no longer active so I don't know my 16-digit card number. So now with money on my card I cannot do anything and to beat it all off. The replacement card has been returned and they won't let me get past my name and last 4 of social to find out why and to get the other one shipped. So now I have money that I cannot get to and no card. This is ridiculous.

    Okay I have had the Walmart MoneyCard for four years. I've never had a problem and issue until about a month ago. Money disappeared out of my account. I called customer service. They threatened to hang up on me. They threatened everything under the sun and did hang up on me. The supervisor told me that she was as far as he could go. My husband was stranded over four hours away because of this. They get to come home yesterday I check my balance. I had $500 in my account. I spent a hundred and Seventeen of it and my balance is $200. Level customer service with speak to me. They told me there's nothing they can do.

    Am contacting my attorney for the $50 the last time they stole from me. They never got refunded and this time. No one can answer my questions about where my money went. I check my balance quite frequently. Every time I do my transactions are rearranged and my money's always it's always a different balance and I won't even have used my card. I don't understand why they can't look into it and see what's going on. I call when I get my balance every time. I check deposited and when I pull up my credit my account he says I'm always at the negative. This is ridiculous. There's I work very hard for my money. It's not something that we just throw around to whoever feels like taking it & it's over $100 this time. 70s be done now. I want my money.

    I was given a card as a gift. I’m order to use the money I had to set up an account and provide personal info such as my SS#, address, date of birth. It all seemed sketchy but I submitted my info so that I could use the money. After I had used the money, I called asking to close the account. Customer service was horrible and couldn’t confirm whether the account had been closed or not. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they said I could not. Please do not do business with them and do not buy or gift a MoneyCard to anyone.

    I called and reported my card lost. Step 1 no problem. Stated I would be getting new card in 7 to 10 business days. Step 2: received letter stating my card was on its way. Card should arrive Dec. 7. Step 3: Problem started, no card rec. Called 800 number, you can never understand any of the agents and they try to talk constant not letting you speak. They constantly say I"m so sorry." On Dec 14 no card rec and I have no access to my money. Asked for a supervisor and they are pretty useless to what they can do. I was told to buy another MoneyCard and register with the same information I use for the card I have not received. Supervisor said he would authorize a one time transfer to new card but all they transferred was what I needed to make a payment with.

    Called every day to try and get my funds transferred or for them to activate account. Then they said they could only do a one time transfer. Then says "I'm so sorry." Today is Dec 19 still no card and cant get any of my money. I asked for corporate number and they said they dont have it. What the heck!!! Told me I could get a callback from headquarters in 24 to 48 hours. Well soon as this gets resolved I will be changing to another company. Please get people that understand English and can speak it. Tracking my card and now it says to arrive by Dec. 24th. On an unwilling starvation because all money is on card. So what if I dont receive this card. I have an uneasy feeling that is what is going to happen. Publish a corporate number where people can get satisfaction. I am ready to scream. On a scale of 0 to 10 you get a 0. Will not ever recommend your services.

    Terrible customer service. You can even speak to a real employee, just the outsourced India call center! You call in with a card issue and they want all! not some, but all of your personal info in the same phone call. Cell phones can be monitored. They are unsafe!! You should not be asked for your date of birth and the last 4 of your social on the same call!! That's too much crucial personal info, it should be either or one or the other. (At least Cap One lets you enter it on the keypad so no one can hear it. Still not good but a much better option.) Then they ask for your phone number, then your address and even more just to speak to a supervisor. Anyone listening has every bit of my info except the first 5 numbers of my social and some know how to get that too. So now my identity can be stolen and all of my accounts accessed.

    Too bad really, I have been with them 10 years and also have a Green Dot card as well. I am an employer and I have recommended this card to all of my employees over a regular bank, for 10 years. I won't be doing that anymore!! I am dropping them totally. They could care less about the customer only following their procedures! When they have other options in place to verify who I am. Oh and ask to speak to manager? Nope. Not unless you give out every bit of personal information in one call forget the security questions. It's funny because you can get all of the info you want about the card in question from the automated system, it's a joke. Been in the customer service business for over 30 years at the location manager level or above and I own a consulting company and security company. I would never treat a customer with such disregard.

    When a customer like myself says they're not comfortable giving out all of my important info in one call they should be concerned about ME the customer! I can't even speak to a manager without compromising my info! What if I am not alone? What if someone is ten feet away listening to me talk on the phone!! Now it's not just the security issues, it's the lack of concern for me as a customer that gets me. I can't cancel my account and get my money returned to me. Either I have to spend or withdraw my money paying fees all of the way. A perfect example of no regard for the customer. I didn't see any responses to the bad reviews. Maybe I missed them but I did see replies to the good ones. Go figure...

    I have had my Walmart MoneyCard for years. My account has been closed, and I am unable to find out why. The number on the back does not allow you to speak to a live person, also going into a Walmart store, they are unable to help me. There are fund in the account that have zero access to, and from reading several reviews, I’m not the only person this has happen to. The worse customer service ever... Zero stars. If you can please bank with a real bank, Wells Fargo has a forgiveness account you can sign up for, if you are having trouble opening a bank account, even if you have had a Wells Fargo account in the past. So now all of my automatic payments are being returned. I have no money to get gas, or food. And no one to help me.

    I decided to change my Walmart Green Dot MoneyCard password and couldn't find an area on the menu to do so, only if I didn't remember it could I do so. So I looked on Google how to do it and came to this website where I notice that you only answer to good reviews but not even a "I'm sorry for your troubles" apology is written to those very mad and exasperated customers. You need to remember that it's because of those customers you HAVE a job and ARE receiving a salary.

    Walmart needs to REALLY INVESTIGATE so many complaints when putting their name on a money card company. You already have enough troubles over the last few years to add a maybe crooked or fraudulent money card to your name. As for me I have not had any problems yet except that when I went to reload to cover for the monthly fee, I was told that there was a minimum of $25.00 to do so and I only had $10 in cash at that time. Is that correct that there is a minimum reload amount? Your answer will be appreciated.

    I have had a Walmart MoneyCard since August. Money is tighter now than it has been in a while so I have been watching my finances a little closer. I have noticed that I am being charged 5.00 in ATM fees for every ATM withdraw on top of the ATM withdrawal fee that whatever ATM I’m using has. The Walmart MoneyCard agreement says that the fee is 2.50.

    Now here is the biggest scam of them all. When you go and use the ATM at Walmart it is supposed to be free. But they charged me multiple $5.00 in fees to use an ATM that is supposed to be free. I sat and went through every atm transaction that I have had with them and they have screwed me out of $182.00 in extra fees... That's after I deducted the $2.50 they say I should be charged... I spoke to their (Green Dot) customer service department in the Philippines and they are clueless. They sound like a broken record that every ATM get a $2.50 charge. I asked to speak to a manager 3 separate phone calls. Still no callback!! What a waste of time and money!!

    So for weeks now my Walmart MoneyCard has been blocked. I lost the store bought copy then tried activating my personalized one with my name on it and my account is still blocked. Then they request a picture of my I.D. and asked for 2 business days... It's been a week. I CANNOT ACCESS MY DIRECT DEPOSIT NOR ANY OF MY FUNDS. I've tried it all. That 877 # is nothing. My lawyer will be in contact with yous guys very soon. Thanks for the holiday hardships. I will not lose my hard earned money!

    So I have a Walmart MoneyCard and had my DD put on it. Exactly a month ago my insurance company removed a second payment of 346.20. I then had to file a dispute, which I did immediately. Here I am a month later, with a closed card and on that card is a credit for that amount. 2 weeks ago I called the dispute department and they said they were going to issue a check for that amount of money. I verified 3 times if that was the amount of the check, they said, "Yes. Wait 2 weeks if you don’t receive it call back..."

    Fast forward to today, no check, I called yesterday they said, "Yes. 346.20 was mailed and if you don’t receive it by tomorrow call back." I call them... Was told no it was still in dispute and they sent nothing. THEY LIED TO MY FACE!!! Not once but 3 times!!! I told them the second time I called I was recording the conversation, the rep said, "If you don’t stop recording now I will hang up." I asked why, they record the calls and know I was lied to... He said, "Stop now or I’m hanging up," he did! Hung right up on me!!! Busted in a lie to a customer!!!

    I fully intend to report this to every single agency I possibly can and, suggest NO ONE EVER get this card!!! I’m so very angry right now! I know the CEO of Walmart as well as a few other people who will be very interested in this!!! And I’m going to forward these recorded calls that your customer service completely lied to me on to the proper authority figures!!! I’m astounded at the ignorance of the customer support involved!!!

    I used MoneyCard for going on 2 years. I just recently lost my card and asked for an change of address and to get the card shipped out. I need it to buy Christmas presents and they say that it will take 7 business days. I have not received anything and I have bills to pay. Horrible service. I do not recommend because I needed that money now. I am broke until my pay check comes in 5 days. Why could it not just be expedited for the extra cost?

    Currently I am using this card for over two years and I've only have one issue which was not against the card. The currently I am waiting on a direct deposit for over $4,000 from my work with my Christmas bonus on it and it has still not posted I have heard from my work that from their end of it bankwise everything has went through. So which leaves me thinking that it is the Green Dot Bank who is associated with this money card. So I called customer service and the only thing they told me is, "Sorry there is a direct deposit delay and I can give you no further information, so you mean to tell me that for as many people as you guys service that you cannot provide me a detailed response as to why in the hell I'm not receiving my money. And it is not posted to my account and all the sudden this is the first time that there has been a direct deposit delay and I have a check for that much money.

    This is absolutely ** and somebody needs to have me an answer as to why I do not have my money yet. Used to say if this does not appear in my account today I may be shopping for another card to have my money deposited to. So if I was you I would probably think twice about getting this card because customer service has never been one that's on my good side. Granted probably not their fault the reason things happen but then the last more or less useless when it comes to trying to figure out the issues I'm having.

    Do not purchase this card if you need any reliability or access to your funds. I reloaded all of my money on this card particularly to request a ride home from work only to find out 4 hours later when my shift was over that my funds were missing and not there. 45 minutes of being on hold with customer service and standing outside in 29 degree weather for 25 minutes stranded with no money I was told by the Green Dot representatives "Not to worry. Your money is fine. We are experiencing a technical difficulty. Check back in a couple hours for your funds". I still don't have my money, I'm still standing in the cold and I still don't have any answers. Not worth it.

    I currently have a hold on my account for a 60 dollar garnishment. The garnishment amount had been taken from my account and they continued to have a block on my account even though the money has been removed and I have other money in the account. They told me they needed to receive a fax that the funds had been released and then they would immediately remove the block on my account. This was a week ago. I was given confirmation that they have been faxed twice, once 4 days ago and once 2 days ago with this information and they will not release the block on my account. The last person I spoke to on the phone was rude and told me I could not speak to anybody else about this matter and there is no estimated time on when I will have access to my money. He then told me “Ma’am you just have to wait” before hanging up on me. So ready to get my money and dump this card.

    I can't access my money on my Walmart MoneyCard to move it from my vault and customer service either hangs up on me or give a technical difficulty message and the phone hangs up on me. I can't pay my light bill and I have until 5pm to pay it or my lights will be turned off and I will have to pay an additional $75 to get them restored. All behind Walmart MoneyCard and they aren't even saying when the problem will be corrected. They should be responsible for the $75 fee I will be charged because they are the ones holding my money hostage.

    Transferred money into Walmart Moneycard and the money is not there. Took an hour to get Customer Service on the phone just to be told they are having systems problems with the Walmart Moneycard. I told her that Walmart should compensate us for this gross inconvenience. I have not been able to buy gas and as I use my car to work I cannot work, nor can I pay for my meds. I transferred that money to my Walmart Moneycard at 9:48 am on December 13, 2018 and it is now 1:15 PM and I have no access to my money. The money is not even posted. I realized the money wasn't on my MoneyCard when I tried to use my card to pay a freeway toll. I want to be compensated for all of my inconveniences.

    I'VE HAD MY WALMART CARD FOR OVER 2 YEARS NOW AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM UP UNTIL NOW. Recently I decided to use the stash feature of my money card and now I am unable to unstash my money and have access to my funds!!! I have absolutely no access to my money, and no means to provide for my family until they decide to fix it!!! This is unacceptable! Then to make ** worse I can't even get a damn representative on the phone to let me know what the issue is!     They have the vault option where you can stash and unstash your money. I stashed over three thousand dollars today, went Christmas shopping while my kids were in school and tried to unstash $400. Normally, it works fine... Today it did not. I waited thirty minutes to speak to someone and they hung up on me. I called back and was put on hold for another thirty minutes only to be told that I cannot access my OWN MONEY!! They're having "technical difficulties" and are unable to allow me access to my funds at this time... "check back every so often the problem may be resolved in the next few hours or so!!" I am livid!! My kids need dinner and medication and I cannot access my own money!! I will be switching cards as soon as I get my money from them! Over the years (six years), I have had many problems with this card, this just did it for me!!

    Can't take money out of stash. It says I have reached daily limit yet I haven't transferred ANY money at all today and so I cannot touch my hard earned money. It is just sitting there in the stash and won't let me touch it. I also have bills to pay and have been on hold with customer service for over 30 minutes and no one has picked up and it is an automated voice that says, "Please hold for the next available specialist and we apologize for the delay." I cannot believe how bad this service is and how unprofessional they are. DO NOT USE THIS CARD unless you want to never be able to spend it.

    I have been using this card for a few months now everything was fine. Typically I transfer money to my vault account as it acts as saving. Never have any problems. Until today less than two weeks before Christmas I can't transfer my own money that I worked hard for to my account to use my funds. The customer service representatives stated they are having technical issues with the vault which is not okay. They state there is no one estimated time of when this fix will happen. This is just ridiculous. Once I am able to use the money that I work hard for I will definitely cancel my membership. This is not right. What makes it worse is that I was able to use the vault less than 10 mins before. I am so mad. I can't pay my bills put gas and my car or anything. And all the supervisor could say is sorry. Yeah me too sorry that I even signed up for this crap. Less than two weeks before Christmas.

    So not only did I have to pay $3 to load my card, but there was a $4 fee taken right away... When I called customer service, I was routed to a call center in the Philippines. When I asked to be transferred to a department in the USA, I was transferred to a supervisor in the Philippines. Said supervisor advised me that she was unable to "escalate" my call until I verified my card number with her. OK first of all, the reason I requested to be transferred to an American rep is because I do not feel comfortable sharing my financial information with someone outside the US... Unacceptable. Needless to say I will be removing my money from the card and getting rid of it.

    I have been using this card with no issues for 4 years. I have been unable to use my own money since 12/7/18. This company told me that the IRS had frozen my account to verify my identity & needed my driver's license emailed. I called the IRS yesterday. They stated, "Call your bank. They lied to you & are holding your funds illegally. This is true but they know they have your money so you can do NOTHING!" I waited on hold yesterday for over an hour to talk to this "supervisor" Grace. She tells me to call the IRS & I said, "No! The hell I am." They said they NEVER flagged me for anything. This bank will hold your money hostage! Oh and I'm supposed to wait 7-10 business days for my account to be released to boot. My rent has not been paid & I am getting daily fees added. Don't give this bank your money - they are liars & thieves!

    Customer service is horrible along with the card service. The only benefit to it is that you get your paycheck two days faster but I’ll rather avoid the headache... My funds where suppose to be released after a certain day and wasn’t gave them a call telling me I have to wait for a email from technical support in 24 hours. I gave them 48 hours. Still haven’t heard from anyone and no funds still in my account.

    I have been happy with my card up until recently. I must say I have been so disappointed beyond belief about how unhelpful they have been in a time I most needed it. I used my card to purchase gas at an Arco gas station, unfortunately due to an error with the station pump system, they were unable to sell me gas but for some reason. The system authorized all my available funds and I was left with a $0 balance. The gas station attendant advised that the funds should be voided and released within 24 hrs.

    I immediately called the bank and told them and literally begged them to allow me a little money to be able to buy gas at another gas station. They credited me $25 and advised the rest will be available within 24 hrs. This did not sit well with me as I was out of money and no gas due to no fault of mine. I tried to reason with their customer service department and explained that I am a rideshare driver and they took all my money and cannot work without fuel. I lost 2 days of work and unable to pay my water bill which was due. So as I write this today, it's day 3 and still no money and I was just told to wait till the 11th which is ridiculous.

    I am not asking for a freebie here, just for my money to be released. If it was them, they don't hesitate taking their money but I have to plead and beg for what is mine. No one was willing to help me or go above the call. I am unable to pay my bills, unable to work and forced to wait and they call themselves a food company. I am taking this up with my local consumer affairs, news station, Congress. I thought that someone would have some compassion during this holiday season and help but no, they just don't care. I don't know how to get through to anyone. Let's see if anyone bothers to do the right thing.

    I'm now heading into my third year of using Walmart MoneyCard. Leaving behind my old bank was the best choice I ever made. I live paycheck-to-paycheck and there were many times when I couldn't keep the minimum $15 balance that was required by my bank. (You know... The one where they would charge you ANOTHER $15 for not having $15 to begin with.) Walmart MoneyCard has no minimum balance, no overdraft fees, a free vault that acts like its own savings account, and cash-back savings at the end of every year. This past year, I not only earned $20 in cash-back, but I also won $30 from the Prize Savings lottery! I never win ANYTHING, so you can imagine my shock when I signed in and found an extra $30 in my account from "Prize Savings". I was really happy. :) I love this card and have no plans to ever use another one.

    I have had nothing but horrible service from their call center in the Philippines. Why must companies sacrifice quality for profit. No one will help me because if a phone number on my account that should not be there cannot be verified. I have had an account for over 2 years and the phone number is older than that I guess. Well I have changed numbers several times and do not recall the one on the account. I am trying to access my online account to change it and I do not recall my password. So I have requested a code sent to my email. For a week nothing has been sent. I have used every browser and all my devices still nothing.

    These people will not think outside the box or have a workaround for my situation. The only solution was for me to cancel my card take the money off my card put it on a new card and open a new account which is the longest and stupidest way to do something.

    I am sick and tired of these people not understanding what the situation is and I'm tired of them, "I apologize, I can't do this. I apologize, I can't do that. I apologize, I can't transfer your supervisor because you can't verify your account" but yet I can't verify my account with everything except a silly phone number which really in the scheme of things is nothing so I'm maybe green. Will get a hold of me and actually do something about the situation I'm at and maybe get off their butts and get off get out of the Philippines and get back to United States where the money should be spent. Shame on you green. For outsourcing your service to a terrible terrible terrible horrible place to do business. Oh and to make matters worse I used to run call centers and working clothes centers and I know how to train people. I know what takes so I know really what we supposed to wait until about and they're not doing their job.

    On 11/30 Walmart Money Card/Green Dot closed my account with over $3000 in it. They said they first blocked then closed it because they could not verify my identity even though I sent them a copy of my valid passport. Now they are making it impossible for me to reach anyone to find out how to get my $3000. There are countless complaints like mine of them stealing customers money and Walmart is turning a blind eye. I have emailed top executives at Walmart with no response. Look it up. This happened a couple of years ago and now they are doing it again. Green Dot is preying on hardworking lower income people who don’t have the means to fight back. This is a travesty and Walmart is equally at fault because they put their name on the card and promote it. Shame on Walmart and Green Dot.

    I got the card because I wanted something to route my deposits from time to time. Suddenly after a year of having the card I am hit with restrictions and customer care who have hung up on me multiple time, and given me no help. Now I cannot withdraw MY OWN MONEY because of a sudden change of policy. I asked when was this change made and why wasn't I inform- their response was "it was a policy update" leaving me unable to pay my rent in full- like what the eff?!?!

    11/29/2018 I was charged twice for using the ATM once and was told they would NOT reimburse me. I was given a refund back from a error in a Amazon order, I saw the pending addition to my account. I called to ask if possible to know when the amount would return to my card and suddenly it's gone and the man who I spoke to today basically told me, "You authorized the transaction so it's gone." I have been losing money and opportunities with this card as of recent. I would not recommend this card to a soul and I am truly upset.

    I had a frog kit fraud case on my Walmart money card. I won the fraud case. They said they would be issue me a full refund. Be a check VIA mail 2 weeks. I waited the two weeks. Send me a piece of paper saying that they put the refund on my locked card that they locked from the fraud and I wasn't able to use it so then I called them. They said they would. They couldn't transfer the money onto my new Walmart money card so they'd send me another check two weeks. While I waited 2 weeks that did not show up. Got another letter stating that they deposited on my locked card again so then I called back and they said it would be another two weeks. While I waited 2 weeks and still nothing. Still nothing. Still nothing in.

    Mind you this was filed in August 13th of this year. It is now December. I am laid off of work. I really need this money. They pretty much stolen it for me. Customer service now when I call they say they asked my name and social. I give him that. I give you my address. I said it's not on file and I cannot confirm my identity so they can't talk to me about it so now I'm just been screwed. Can't even get my freaking money. Man I'm going to get evicted. I need help. Somebody please help me

    I have had this card for a few years and no problems that a phone call and a clear explanation of the situation and why it happened and I am sorry for your inconvenience didn't suffice. The problems began the first of November 2018. I had 4 transactions fraudulent charged to my card all in Anaheim California. The first 3 times the money was put back on within a hour - the 3 one I called in and the transaction was pending and the lady says it will be put back on your card. I am thinking because she knew it was fraudulent the money showed up a hour or so later. I asked the person should I have my card replace and she I can do so. I felt and I experience this that I should get a waiver on the FedEx charge to have my charge in 3 days since they have detected fraudulent charges - no new card.

    Yesterday while I was out shopping in Granite City, Illinois at Walmart and St. Louis, Mo another fraudulent transaction took the remaining balance of my card in Anaheim California. I called this morning and spoke to someone who kept telling me, "We can not dispute this authorized transaction until it post." That I do not understand. Isn't it best to report and investigate early and it was not an authorized transaction; but tell me who will they investigate. The information provided for the merchant is the same sort of nonsense random letters as the first 3 (the latest stated: Hkcymdir eghvj, no address, no telephone number and Anaheim California 92801.) I ask to speak to a manager. She said they will call me. I had to call back 4 hours later extremely un-composed and mad.

    I finally talked to someone who finally goes back to see at least 2 transactions and the money put back. So my argument was if it was pending and my money was put back on my card why can't it happen this time. No real explanation but she says I have to wait until December 11 to dispute the transaction because I can't dispute it now. And when I do dispute it, it will take up to 10 business days to investigate it. But what are you investigating. There is nothing to trace back to - I spent an hour totally upset with the person and more so because there was no empathy in her voice. Her tone never changed until I started frustrating her with my talk and it was horrible. And I admitted it to her and I apologize to her but told her it wasn't personal but the customer service was horrible.

    I would like to think a business that I frequently used would have more concern about fraud on a customer and showing some empathy to the situation. And then talk clearly so I could understand the process of the situation and that is what I needed most to explain to me how the system works. And it looks as if it wasn't to my advantage. This is clearly fraud so now I have to go and take the rest of my money I have in stash (which I just read about and loved this. I don't have to travel to my credit union to go into my savings). But then I have to call back once again to cancel the card and pay to have it FedEx to me which I feel since it's fraud it should be given a reverse charge.

    But I clearly am upset that the balance of my money is gone and I have to wait 2-3 weeks to even see the outcome which it clearly looks like fraud. Is this not a secure card on a secure site. It is the holiday sense, I understand perfect for scams and fraud but I believed my MoneyCard to be secure and that the person I spoke with had some empathy for their customers.

    Walmart MoneyCard is a bunch of bs. I loaded my card and paid for a hotel up to three days. I paid $440.00 dollars. Well my stay did not go as planned so I was approved a refund on the 22nd on Thanksgiving so the hotel manager told me because of the holiday I would receive my money three to five business days. Well I never receive my money. I been calling Walmart. We are in December and they still have not put my money back. Every time I call customer service they give me the runaround and they still have not put my money back.

    I loaded that card with my own cash, the hotel manager said that they been released my money but Walmart MoneyCard refused to fund me my money back, I been waiting for two weeks and this is my money. After I finally get my money back I will never use or purchase a Walmart prepaid MoneyCard ever again. They hold your money for no apparent reason. Their customer service is awful and no one speaks English. They are horrible.

    Twice they have turned my card off and left me penniless for days. Phone number isn’t an option and they know it. How can you treat someone who has been a customer 7 years like this. All they say is, "I'm Sorry ma'am," and barely speak English, so I can't really understand them. Still don't have my money. They told me I would have to wait AGAIN.     I've had the worst experience with the Wal-Mart Money Card! I thought I lost my card, I had to cancel Walmart MoneyCard customer service and told me that they can send me a replacement card in 3 days for $15.00. I called customer 2 days later and asked if, I can purchase a new money card so I can transfer my funds to the new money card. I was told "No, that I had to wait 7 business days for my new card to arrive". I said "7 business days?" "I was told by the customer service rep, 2 days ago that I would have my card in 3 business days". The rep told me that "with the money card I have they cannot have my card expedited in 3 business days?"

    I have no money because all of the money I had is on my card! I will not be able to pay rent on time, buy food, pay all of my other bills that are due, before I get my new Walmart money card. This isn't a card for me, not anymore! I've been a customer with the Wal-Mart Money Card for over 6 years. How dare you keep everything I have until I get a replacement card?! Why doesn't the Wal-Mart Money Card have an easier way to get me my money card to me quicker? Wouldn't it be wonderful if I or anyone else, be able to pick up a new card at any Wal-Mart store.

    They have deactivated my entire account because my card that is not even 4 months old is bad already. Which I don't understand because it is always kept in my wallet. They are sending me a free replacement but that will take 5 to 7 business days, before I receive it. Today is Wednesday! EVERY dime I have is in this "So called" account. My entire paycheck goes in it every week. So until I get my replacement card and activate it all my automatic payments will be declined, which will cost me $37.50 and $50, I have no gas to get to work, I have a premature baby who has a very important Dr. appointment in the morning for his life threatening seizures and I can't get there, I can't buy food and I have NO WAY to access my money that I work very hard for!

    How could your customer service rep (CSR) be so careless not to mention this? Instead she tells me the only way I will have access to MY money is to order a new card, which is a LIE because later it was brought to my attention I could have sent my money to another person with a simple text or email or even sent a MoneyGram. Not one time did the CSR mention this and also not one time did the CSR mention my entire account would be deactivated. All the CSR can say is how sorry she is and there's nothing they can do. But do you think they are going to pay my late fees, my declined payment fees, or the fee I'm going to have for the doctor for not showing up tomorrow? Of course they're not paying any of that! I'm paying all of that on top of not having any access to all of the money that I have to my name. And all you can say is you're sorry? I'm sorry too, I'm sorry I ever chose to close my bank account and get a stupid Walmart MoneyCard!

    I can promise you that the exact moment I have access to my money, every single dime will be pulled out and I will never deal with Walmart or Walmart MoneyCard again! I will not even shop at the store! Because your apology doesn't pay my fees, it doesn't get the baby to the doctor, it doesn't take me to work, and it sure in the hell doesn't make up for what you have done! So on the website where it says have access to your money blah, blah, blah- it's all a lie, and your company is a big joke! And the only reason I gave a one-star review is because it required it otherwise you would have gotten a big fat zero from me!

    I decided to try the MoneyCard again after having an issue prior in 2016 for unauthorized payment and I was told I did auth when I had not. So they let the co get paid by the insurance co and then again by me. So now I get a new card to give MoneyCard a second chance and I use the card 1 time, upload my DL to prove my identity after the new card is blocked then have a woman say my DL wasn't approved and my card/account is closed and I can't use my card. How is My DL not sufficient to prove my identity and I was told there is no recourse for this as the account is already closed. I would think my DL is sufficient and if not that I would be contacted for further info. First time shame on them, second time trusting them shame on me. Never again... been burned twice.

    I get direct deposit from my job on this prepaid card. They have refused to release my funds! I have called and called only to be told there's a technical issue! I see patients all day long and they know I can't go anywhere without my check being deposited. It is advertised that you can get your check UP TO 2 days early NOT 2 days late! This is the exact definition of false advertising. I still don't have my check that was sent out Monday, on my card. They also refuse to let me speak to any supervisor! People should not trust these cards! They stole well over 500$ from me and say they never got the deposit knowing I had the tracking # from when it was sent to them!

    I have been using the Walmart MoneyCard for 7 years and have never had any problems until yesterday. I went to a Bank and tried to get my money off my card and was declined. According to the service tech withdrawal wasn't part of my spending habit. Today they say now I can't get money from my vault until 10pm tonight. For 2 days now I have $2200 on my card but I'm broke.     I made a return to Costco for a purchase of $1,200 and Walmart said without the original sales receipt that was no longer available. The funds will remain locked and will not be available. I told them that the original sales receipt is no longer available and that Costco had the record on their computer and had no problem issuing refund and there should be no reason why the funds would not be available nor why Walmart would require original sales receipt from another merchant anyhow.

    Now in an emergency situation. $1,200 of my money is not available. Use extreme caution when dealing with Walmart MoneyCard!!! I waited on hold for a supervisor for over an hour and none was ever available. I was told one would call me back. Two days later I still have not received a phone call from the supervisor. The last three times I called customer service they hung up on me. What they're doing cannot possibly be legal. Holding funds from another merchant for return purchase and not allowing me to have my money.

    I am a cross-country truck driver. I use the card EVERYWHERE, yet for some reason every other purchase keeps getting declined! Used to not be this way! It’s driving me crazy! You can’t verify security measures online or through the app, you HAVE TO CALL and wait for a 10 minute speech before you can select the option to speak to someone and get the suspension lifted one hour after you call. Call center is in the Philippines, so there is a SEVERE language barrier! Then they laugh at you when you get frustrated. I deposit around $6000 a month on this card. Been using it for over 6 years and it seems the service keeps getting worse!

    I have had my Walmart money card forever and my paycheck has always been direct deposit to this card. I went to use my card on 11/20/2018 and it was declined, never had a problem until now. I never got any notification of they blocked my card due to usual activity and for almost a week now my money on this card, I have no access to. REALLY. The none American rep cannot help me nor understand anything I say, I keep getting the same response. Keep your phone line open and a corporate supervisor will call you. What just cause these foreign rep sit at a desk or probably out of their residence. They think a person don't work and have to wait for a phone call. This MoneyCard is the worst and the customer service sucks. Today is 11/25/2018 and it's still not fixed.

    I have been having problems since they deposited my money. I was able to use it a few times afterwards it locked. Been trying to upload to the site. Just to my luck it doesn't work. Who wouldn't have guessed? I'm really upset. No one can help. Not to mention I was embarrassed at Walmart since I couldn't get the money. I figured get a few things for children. Well guess what. It didn't work. Really upset. My own money I worked for. Can't talk to anyone and not to mention they took ten dollars off the top. I was negative but boy they sure did take that quick. This is the worst right around holidays.

    Walmart website states it takes 1-5 business days for your check to be cleared and available for you. I deposited my check and it said it wouldn't be available for 10 days. That poses as a major problem when you are depending on your money being available at certain time frame. I called customer to try and cancel the transaction and would just cash my check instead and customer service rep told me there was nothing he could do. I suggest updating your info with correct info, so this type of problem does not occur for anyone else.

    I've been with Walmart for 8 yrs and I had a transaction occur on Nov 9 that wasn't mine. I live in the state of California and the transaction was in L.A. I call the 1800 number and disputed the transaction. I also made a PD report same day. The guy I spoke to said the dispute will begin when the transaction is completed and that it will take 7 to 10 days. Now it's Nov 21 and I'm told I have to fill out a written report and mail it to the company THEN THE DISPUTE WILL HAPPEN. I said I'm verbally disputing the charge now like I did on the 9th. The lady said, "No. Doesn't work that way." I asked to speak to a US rep. She said no. I asked again and was told it would take 2 to 5 business days JUST TO SPEAK TO A US REP WTH!!! Walmart is a shame. Do not use this card.

    I recently changed phone numbers and was no longer able to access the MoneyCard App since I did not have my old phone number for the verification code to be sent to. It popped up a message to call the number on the back of the card. So I did. The first rude ** I talked to said there was nothing he could do, although I verified everything that is on file. He hung up on me. So I called back and spoke to someone who was nicer, but told me the same thing. She told me to go online because they couldn’t update my phone number for “my security.” I was like, "Why in the hell does it tell me to call the number on the back of the card then." She had no answer for me.

    So I verified my account, but they can’t update my phone number so that I can access the app? Makes no damn sense at all. At the end of the call, she had the nerve to ask me to take their survey. I was like, "Ma’am, I don’t think you want me doing that???" So long story short, they do absolutely nothing and I am now locked out of my app because I had the “nerve” to change my phone number and they apparently can’t update it. I am switching immediately. Worst customer service ever!!!

    I misplaced my card somewhere in my house tonight. I called customer service and they asked me to verify my name, address, SS number, date of birth and phone number. They rejected my phone number and said I have to remember the one I used when I registered the card SIX years ago. The customer service rep was rude. The supervisor was very rude. So basically they won't do anything on my account until I can remember an old number because the incompetent staff didn't update my phone number when I called in earlier this year. I have money sitting on that card that I can't access. They've basically stolen my money and stonewalled me. This is complete BS.

    I Purchased my card on November 6, 2018. I put $400 on my card. My card was defective and never worked. It was immediately rejected. Even two Walmart managers tried to help. I was told to go home and register it. And give it a couple days. On 11/11/18 A manager at Walmart finally helped me get to a live person through the 866 number. (By the way everything is automated and it’s a joke to try and talk to someone!) I was told my card had a “technical problem” And would be fixed in 2-3 business days. I would get an email and a phone call back. I never did! On 11/14 I got a hold of someone and they told me That they would issue me a new card in 7 business days.

    Today 11/20 - I got the card. The card is blocked! I spent 30 minutes on the phone asking for a manager. I was hung up on, called back and put on hold for another 20 minutes Just to find out there is no manager available but 1 will call me back in four hours. I’m so upset it’s been 14 days! And they have my $400. Despite Walmart’s kind managers, Walmart itself takes no responsibility and will not refund. Even though my card was defective from the minute I bought it!! I’ve bought Walmart Visa cards monthly and never had an issue. Until now! Their customer service is despicable and I’m so disappointed.

    Had same card for years with 2 direct deposits every month. My card has been blocked until I send in my license. THE SITE DOESNT WORK! WALMARTMONEYCARD/UPLOAD DOCUMENTS! The horrible customer service people will not talk to me! They get rude and then transfer me to an automated message to upload my documents to the site that doesn't work. If I go online it says I've tried too many times and I'm blocked. EVERY penny I have goes on the card. I've been without money for a week now!!! Cannot get help by calling, and they blocked me online. My entire paycheck is on this card. What can I do? I'm trying to get my direct deposit backed out, but I am not sure it can be done. I'm waiting.

    I never had a problem with this card in the year + that I have had it, the few times I did call customer service it was a absolute waste but I was able to figure it out on my own until this week when I made the mistake of depositing my paycheck using their own deposit service. On the website it says that it could take 1-5 business days, it also states that payroll checks are deposited “quickly”. Well imagine my surprise when on the 17 the day the check was deposited that it would be available on the 27th! I waited till Monday (11/19/2018) to call and sure enough I got the most unhelpful, rude, man who could barely speak English.

    After not being satisfied with his answer I demanded to speak to a supervisor, at which point he told me it would be 24 hours, I relented, that turned to 4 hours and I refused to hang up so he finally did transfer me to a supervisor and lo and behold, they can barely speak English and well, also unhelpful and rude. This card is great unless you need to speak to customer service at which point it’s totally useless. I will be switching to an actual bank with actual English speaking customer service reps, I shouldn’t have to call INDIA for help!

    My dads cable bill was wrong and I knew I had paid it. So I checked my card balance online and saw where the payment had been taken from account. So if I dont have my money and Comcast doesnt have the money, where did my money go. Green Dot needs at least 20 days to investigate how they lost my money. She says ok and still ships my card, starts where I will have to go 7-10 business days without any money. Why would they lie.

    First and foremost if I could give this rating a lower than 1 star I would. Secondly... Why is there no one from USA able to help me. Customer service apparently can’t me or vice versa. I purchased a Walmart money card on October 15, 2018 and it couldn’t be registers because I was trying to put it in my son’s name. I wasn’t aware you had to be 18 so customer wouldn’t allow me to do anything with the card and was offered to file a refund. I was told by the rep that it would be in my mailbox within 10 business days. It never arrived. So I called customer service back and apparently no one could find anything about a refund. So I was highly upset and demanded to talk to someone above the rep and she refused to put someone better on the phone. Was told I needed a receipt and to email a receipt and it would be investigated.

    I was told I would get a call within 72 hours and the status of my refund. Lo and behold I NEVER got the callback. So I tried calling back to talk to someone else. Got the runaround again. This time I kept demanding to speak to someone else. Once I was forwarded to another rep they told me I would have to be issued another refund since the first one didn’t arrive. What does it take to get my money back from this God awful company? I am pissed off to the next level with one simple refund.

    I have to say customer service is the worst I have ever experience. Representatives are rude and do not listen to your questions. Also, explain to me why I have to get a new card number when old card is damaged. It's not lost or stolen. It's damaged. My 2nd card was damaged as well. I should be able to pay for a replacement with same card number when I have a damaged card.

    I received an email at 6:00 am this morning stating my Walmart Moneycard was turned off due to unusual activity. The email directed me to Document Upload site but when I entered my card number into the site, I was given the error message "We were not able to find the card with the information provided. Please try again.". The automated support line was not helpful at all and directed me back to the document upload site. Walmart customer service was also unable to help me. I have no way of accessing the funds on my card and it seems nearly impossible to get in touch with an actual human that can help resolve my issue.

    I bought my card from Walmart. Used it one time. Received my new card. Tried to activate it and there is a block on my account. I call, sent in all documents asked for 2 different times and since the 8th I've been told 2 business days and still today my account is blocked. I can't talk to anyone who can actually do anything about it. Just a bunch of people who keep telling me 2 business days I'll receive a call. I sent in the information. Now I want my money.

    Every time there is a holiday my direct deposit is late. Doesn't matter if the holiday is before or after my playdate it's still late. Called customer service several times and always told that my employer hasn't released the funds which is untrue. I am able to view online from my employer on what dates my pay has been issued and on what date its authorized for release. Funds are released to be deposited on EVERY Friday but WalmartMoneycard holds my funds until Monday unless there is a holiday and I'll receive my money on Tuesday or Wednesday. Basically it comes down they are illegally holding my money in their account.

    I have had my card for years and on October 31st someone started charging my card up from California and I live in Maryland. I noticed that someone else on here on the same date and Virginia went through the same exact thing and now I'm seeing more of these. I've had problems with them in the past and I should have stopped there but I didn't. They charged up $423.09 in California and I live in Maryland. I called them to tell them what happened in some Foreigner was on the phone telling me that I had to send them to dispute. I told her I didn't understand why I needed to do that and it would take up to 10 business days when the person charged my card from the 31st up to November 5th. I am still waiting on results and nothing has been done. I am going to get an attorney and I have called the attorney general. Do not get this card.

    My husband lost his card, called to have another sent. He was told it would take 7 days. When he goes to look at the account it is blocked. The account has over $8000 dollars in it. Can’t contact a live person when you go on the site it ask for the card number which he doesn’t have hence lost card. He works out of state, can’t pay for his room, buy food, or gas. If the account is blocked how can a direct deposit go to the account? This is a horrible card.

    Customer service bot isn’t a resolution when a person's livelihood is at stake. Then he gets an email to upload ID but he doesn’t have a card with a number so he can’t upload his ID. Then email said after he gets the new card it and uploads his ID, it will still take 2 days to review. Green Dot has made losing a card a huge hardship. I’ve used NetSpend for years never had an issue even lost my card called and they switched my funds to my other card. When this mess is straightened out Green Dot will be losing a customer. I would never recommend this card to anyone. It’s just totally ridiculous. Now my husband is sleeping in his truck until next payday. While Green Dot holds onto $8000 dollars.

    My card has been locked due to unauthorized transactions. My payroll check is direct deposited on to my card. I need to speak to a live person so they can overnight my new card so I can have access to my money! I can even access my account because my old card # is invalid. I am stuck out of town with no money for food or a hotel room. I need someone to get in touch with me asap! Why can't I ever talk to a live person when calling the # on the back of the card?     I filed a dispute October 24th. I was told within 10 business days my account would be credited. On the 10th business day I called and they told me to wait until the next day. November 8th I called which is the 11th business day and I was told it was extended to 45 days and I would’ve be provided a credited since I didn’t send the form in within 10 days. I emailed the form and they are telling me they no longer use the email but online it gives the option to mail or email the form. I have a daughter and I cannot afford to wait 45 days to get my Money back especially when I was told I would receive it within 10 business days! I plan on closing this account after my money is received!

    I have used Walmart MoneyCard for years! It has been my primary bank for as long as I can remember. I always used this card because of how fast I can get my direct deposits and when it’s tax season when my money is released from the government. It’s on there next day. The card is great if you never have issues. I had to file a dispute on a charge I didn’t make in October. My dispute was filed on October 28th. By October 31st, Walmart MoneyCard refunded the charges and then immediately turned right back around and took the money out of my account. They told me that the merchant agreed to pay the money back and that it was now just basically waiting a few days for my refund.

    Well here we are 8 days later. Still $0 back into my account. I call again to see what’s going on. They tell me that it’s going to take up to 45 days because they’re waiting for a response from the merchant and they also never received the dispute form I sent out over a week ago. This is ridiculous. As soon as they give me my money back. Well IF they’re even going to give my money back. I’m done using this card. You can’t get a straight answer from anyone. Every time you call someone has a different response. It’s just pathetic that they don’t care about the people who use these cards for years with no issues and the moment they have an issue Walmart MoneyCard doesn’t even want to help. They just want to keep bouncing you back and forth.

    I’ve had my Walmart MoneyCard for a few years now. Most of the time there is no issue. I’ve been getting direct deposits to the card from my work for over a year now and my check is always deposited into my Walmart MoneyCard on a Wednesday around 1-2 pm. Like clockwork... But today, I have no deposit. It’s payday so I should have gotten it! I have many bills and one including rent which is already past due. I promised I’d pay today, on my payday. But nothing. I don’t even want to call customer service because they’ve made me cry so many times with bad and rude customer service. I want an answer as to why I haven’t gotten my deposit yet and what they will do to fix it. Please help me with this.

    App was not working so I couldn't access my money. Then I called and had to talk them into releasing my funds so I could access them. The next day my direct deposit was blocked and my card and account was shut down. Then I was told I have to start a new account and reset up my direct deposit through my employer and that card was no good anymore, I was blocked from accessing customer support and had to buy a new card just to be able to speak to a customer service rep. Am now waiting for a callback from supervisor. Four hr. window. I believe the supervisor blocked and shut down my card for demanding that I have access to my money!

    So I’ve been with the Walmart MoneyCard for over a year! I recently purchased a couch from Walmart.com. They cancelled my order but still took my money out! Now I’ve been calling Walmart plus Walmart MoneyCard customer service & I’ve been told that my money was supposed to be posted back on to my account the 2nd of November & it’s now the 6th and still no money in my account, it’s still pending and it’s been pending since the 26th of October! So now they filed a dispute. I will call them every single day until my money is posted because this is some messed up stuff going on with them and Green Dot bank, I really want my money or legal actions will be filed!!!     Received a Walmart MasterCard a gift. Registered it. Used it within 10 minutes - tried to use at McDonald's in Union Sc. Card was declined. Called customer care. Put my account number in. Was told my card was blocked - no explanation. I had to wait on a personalized card to arrive like 5 days later. Did the document upload several times - it finally went thru verified. Called today - still blocked. A recording said my information was not readable. Can't speak with anybody. Why wasn't I informed my id didn't take especially after several attempts before it was verified in order to finish up the process. I need my coins. I'm broke and want my money. I have a Walmart Visa card and Netspend card - have never had a problem. I entered the same information that's on those 2 cards. I need answers. Reading some of these comments I'm thinking Green Dot is itching for a class action lawsuit. Stop playing with people's money.

    I've been a customer for YEARS! Never had any issue until recently when charges showed up on my account. I disputed, which was the easy part. What I wasn't aware of is that my account would be placed on hold and NO ACCESS to MY money until a new card has been received, which supposedly takes 7 business days. Nope! I'm beyond that point. Customer service told me "it shows at your local post office, contact them." Seriously?! There's a perk to having funds deposited a day earlier, but it should NEVER take this long for someone to access their own hard-earned money. Step up!

    Just had my Direct deposit done to this card. Was hoping to have a good relationship. But after reading these review they are just as bad as the credit union. I just left. Reviewed what this card offered. No overdraft fee. It really sounded good, but tell me how this offer is going to happen if my federal funds never make it to my account. It now seem to me withholding a direct deposit is a clear violation of interstate commerce and should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission. It sad to read about all the bad complains and nothing is being done or lack off.

    People depend on Companies to do the right thing, but a lack of effort does not replace the rules and regulations set by law. Companies violating and profiting from low to middle income customers or any person using this card should be investigated and fined if they acted contrary to Interstate commerce laws. Just by looking and reading and my own experience, This company is not acting in good faith in applying regulations protecting customer accounts and information. These are very serious allegations and should not be ignore.

    I have been using my card for over a year now and everything was good. I go to check my balance and realize I don't have any money! When I go through my transactions it says that someone in California has been using my card. I go to dispute them and get a woman who barely speaks English that tells me the only transaction they can dispute is the one that happened today because the other ones have already been completely authorized. You can see my transactions in Virginia but are going to authorize transactions happening in California at the same time and now I have to pay for their oriental massage!?!? I should be able to dispute transactions that didn't happen today especially if they are being done in a state I have never even been to! I will definitely be finding a different card.

    So I’ve lived in Florida my entire life, and yesterday night at 10:40 pm someone in Hicksville, NY used my debit card to make a $272 purchase at Walgreens. How that’s even possible is beyond me. So obviously with 5 minutes I called Walmart money card customer service to report the card stolen. First they said I can’t dispute the transaction until it posts. I said, "Okay - Well is there any way I can get my card expedited to me?" "No." Mind you I’m a single mother with of a 2 year old with no family or help - my rent is due on the 1st and by the time I get the card which I literally keep ALL my money on because it’s FDIC since it’s with Green Dot and I figured it’s better than carrying cash where I live, and they said no.

    So I then ask them how long is it going to take for me to receive it and my funds be replaced because clearly this wasn’t me at all - they said 10 business days to receive my card and another 10 business days to get my money back. $271 is A LOT to a young lady like me who lives responsibly on a monthly budget- so all in all 20 business days for something I clearly didn’t do? Okay. So I sucked it up even though the holidays are LITERALLY right around the corner & said well At least I can keep checking to make sure that no one is taking any more money online and I’ll just get an extension on bills since I literally have zero access to my money at all - mind you I’m so frugal I still have income tax money sitting on there and all!

    Then I turn around this morning to call them back again to make sure that nothing else is missing on top of my 20 days wait. They’re telling me that I have to send in a picture ID once I get the card and wait another 5 business days before I can use the card? Why didn’t you guys tell me this Last night? 25 days is literally almost a month for a process that’s as simple as common sense if the card was slide at 10:40 pm in New York and I’m literally calling you at 10:43 from a landline in Florida. THE SAME NUMBER ON THE ACCOUNT BY THE WAY. HOW COULD IT HAVE POSSIBLY BEEN ME?

    So basically all the hackers have to do is send in a photo id online before I get my new card and according to them they’ll unblock my old card. The same card I just reported stolen! I live a responsible life, I work for my money, I don’t even get any government assistance - and to have this happen literally right before the holidays is insane. They’re telling me I can’t even use the routing and account number to pay any of my bills because there’s a block on it. You guys need to get a better system if you’re going to be handling so many consumers' money - and some way to get in contact with someone in the United States! I’ve had this card for 4 years! Yeah I’ve had some issues with the fees but I pay them with no hesitation for the convenience. I’ve had the same direct deposits all four years! Like this is ridiculous.

    I put 1000 dollars on a Walmart MoneyCard. Paid some bills and left off paying with a balance of 635.29 and the following day I received a text where I had signed up for alerts that I had only 135.29 left. I immediately called and reported it. They gave me a number for proof I made a report - said someone would tell me if I was getting my money back - went over the transactions and my soon to be ex-wife hacked the account and took the money off! Ex changed account settings and I had to change phone numbers so they won't talk to me now. They hang up on me - tell me to wait 10 days. I need to update phone number with them and my wife changed the account settings so I can't log in or file a police report because I'm blocked out of the evidence. This is crazy! I need to talk to a Walmart rep now!

    I received the Walmart MoneyCard from my tax preparer a few days ago after proving my identity to the IRS. Yes, it took me almost a year to receive my refund just to have my Walmart money card blocked and I even sent them a front and back copy of my driver's license. They sent me an email stating that they couldn't approve my documentation and I can never apply for another account with them. I haven't been able to speak with a live agent, every time I phoned the customer service line I receive the same message then it hangs up on me. I have been crying ever since then because I can't get anyone to assist me, not even the employees at my local Walmart store. This saddens me due to the fact that I have exhausted every effort to reach someone.

    If someone can please assist me or give me some feedback as to why a and how can I have access to get my money returned to me. I have a regular bank account and would love to transfer to that account but I received an email stating it can't be transferred to a regular checking account. I'm praying that Walmart will assist me with this urgent matter but I have no other way to contact them because soon as I enter my information the automated system states that message and disconnects my call. Walmart has to do better with customer service and providing answers to their customers. Holding on to customers money without even asking for at least SS card number, security questions, or some aspect of identifying consumers.     If you want a prepaid card don't get this one. These people are thieves. My card is blocked and has been for over a month. They said to email a picture of my license. My license has my married name on it now but they still can't unblock the card because of that. I sent a pic of my old license with my maiden and the new one but they say they still can't unblock it so there is no way for me to get my money. That's how they are keeping it and charging fees every month. These people are thieves. Please do get this card.

    The MoneyCard straight the direct deposit sucks. I have my direct deposit setup. My company went to deposit my check for Friday and it never showed up. I called customer service up and basically I got nowhere. I even told them that wasn't call the police and the BB and report them and the supervisor he did not care. He just kept repeating himself. So that for the direct deposit department sucks. I would not recommend anybody get their paycheck direct deposit on this card.

    I reported that my card was chewed up by my dog and paid for express shipping, which I was charged an extra $18. $15 for the shipping and $3 for the new card. I then get an email stating my card was blocked for any use and I have to upload an ID for “security” purposes. When I asked for the unusual activity, the “supervisor” couldn’t tell me. The unusual activity was from Green Dot Bank removing a fee for the express shipping.

    I was told you guys could not unblock my card, but yet you have my money. I never reported a stolen card, so there should be no block. Any other banking would be able to give me a legit reason as to why. I am 6 months pregnant with 0 access to MY money because everyone claims to be a supervisor that gives no empathy nor take any accountability for what they’ve done. As fast as you blocked my card, you can unblock it. I have to give my SSN to even get through, so this makes 0 sense. I am looking into a lawyer because I feel like you’re basically stealing my money.

    I have been using Walmart MoneyCard for a few years. The only thing I like about it is the fact I get my paycheck a few days earlier than actual payday. I have had several issues with this service! The first occurrence was my account along with many other people’s accounts being inactive in May of 2016, I just delivered my second child and got paid that same day, we went to get food and things for our newborn baby & I was not able to use my card or access any money for almost 1 week. I was told “I’m sorry” and “there is nothing we can do.”

    On many other occurrences my account has been “hacked” and money taken off of my card, the money had been refunded to me, but was told I could not retrieve any money off my card in any way until I got a new card in the mail, each time (4 times) taking 7-10 days. With 7 children and being a sole provider for them, this was a disaster!! Again this month, I was hacked and hundreds of dollars were taken from my card, I’ve called the number on the back of my card and have not been able to get into contact with anyone!! So now out several hundred dollars, I cannot take the remaining money off of my card, because I get declined at EVERY ATM I’ve tried to use!

    I have asked about canceling the card in the past and have been told that if I cancel it before my money is returned to my account there is no way to receive the stolen money! When I signed up for this card the packaging stated I would not have ANY FEES TO LOAD MONEY OR RETRIEVE MONEY IF USED AT WALMART MONEY CENTERS - I am charged $4 every time I need to access MY money or ADD money to this card! This is not a secure card AT ALL! And the customer service people are not friendly whatsoever! Never have been helpful and are very argumentative!

    I've been using my card for several years now and have never had a problem using it until 2 months ago. For about a year, I've been paying my rent with my card. However, 2 months ago the transaction was denied & again this month. I've had to get money orders and mail my rent because of this. I'm in a manual wheelchair in a town with no bus service, so paying my bills with my card is essential to me. My landlord, Community Housing of Maine, told me that a lot of tenants all over the state have experienced the same problem. Why was I able to pay my rent with my card before, but am unable to since September? When I called Customer Service, all I get is pigeon talk that's difficult to understand & am told to ask the merchant. Well, the merchant is my landlord, & they want my payment using my Walmart debit card. The problem is not my landlord, it is You!

    If this problem is not rectified, I will be forced to use another company's debit card & will probably just direct deposit both of my Social Security payments to the new card & stop using your card. (I use your card all of the time!!!) Oh, and please stop having your obviously Asian employees at Customer Service use fake English/American names. It's annoying. And they need to practice speaking more clearly. It's very hard to hear and understand them.

    I hope this problem will be resolved satisfactorily so that I won't have the headache of obtaining another debit card & transferring all of my direct deposits to it. I'll have to travel almost 40 miles to the nearest Social Security office to do this, which means $7.00 and a long ride on a bus shuttle there and back. I imagine that's what everyone using your card for their rent will be forced to do. Would be fantastic if you revert to how things were when I was able to pay my rent with my card!!! I'm a loyal Wal-Mart shopper (& have been for several decades) & spend over $200 there every month as I buy all my groceries there as well as household staples, clothes, electronics, pet supplies, gifts, etc.

    I purchased a new prepaid card on 10/15/2018 and put $500 cash on the card. Tried to register the card and it would not register. Called support every day for 10 days and they can't help me and won't give me my money back. A few of the reps say, "Oh yea I can see the money but we cannot tell you why the card won't work." I told them transfer the money to one of my other Walmart pre-paid cards but they won't do that either. They are holding it hostage! They hang up on you when you keep trying to tell them to give you a supervisor. I am ready to picket the company in every way I can.

    I only have the WalMart Moneycard. I have no checking account or other credit cards. I have direct deposit so I get my Air Force Retirement early every month. I don't have any bank fees of credit card interest. Save hundreds a year. The vault is best. Just won $25.00 prize by using it. When I was a Wal-Mart Manger I found out about the features.     I hate that I bought this to be easier than a bank. I still have to pay to withdraw funds or pay bills. I use my card all the time and hate pulling out cash but when I do I hate paying $3 plus atm fees, might as well go back to the bank!!! Depositing checks on the card should be free as well!!!     I have read so many reviews about people having their account blocked. I am going through the same thing with my social security direct deposit. It went in Wednesday the 17th. When I tried to pay my bills it was declined. I called customer service only to find out they have blocked my account. I sent everything they said they needed. Every time I call I get a different excuse. They won't unblock my account. They don't care if I can't pay my bills and can lose everything. Has anyone got the block removed and their money back. If so how long did you have to wait.

    I been having a Walmart MoneyCard since 2013 or before I have 5 kids. Rent is about to be due. I spoke with a supervisor that told me to submit my ID. I've done it twice. Still nothing and now I'm told my card is going to remain blocked until the review is done. I can't access my online acct. I can't activate my card or nothing. I filed non-authorizations on my acct and the rep did not tell me that my card and everything else would be blocked. The rep from this morning tells me if my direct deposit hits while my card is blocked it will be sent back to the issuer.

    My rent is about to be due. If the rent is paid because my card is blocked Walmart ain't gonna step up and my rent. There's nobody I can speak to but the supervisor himself gave me the online information along with my case # and told me to submit it. I submitted my info twice. Walmart ain't gonna pay for my water bill, light bill or nothing and my landlord most definitely ain't gonna wanna hear my card was blocked. I'm going to get evicted with 5 kids and our car is currently in the shop so because of Walmart MoneyCard me and my 5 kids will be outside in the cold. For a big company Walmart has a very poor way of handling business especially when blocking your acct without knowledge. Who do I call the Better Business Bureau or a lawyer since I can't speak with corporate or nobody else that can help me at Walmart. This is insane. Highly upset about this.

    A few weeks ago I went to HEB to buy food for my family and was completely surprised when my card was denied. I was in shock and tried again because I knew I had money available; it declined again. Embarrassed, I get out of the line to check my account and there was a charge to an auto part store for over $100.00 that I did not charge. Immediately, I called Walmart MoneyCard and they closed the card and stated that they would send another. About a week later, I received a card in the mail.

    Upon activating, it instructed me to send in an ID for verification (in which I did) the next day so was told that my account has been blocked, I can not use my card and I will no longer be able to get direct deposits sent. I have been a LOYAL CUSTOMER for over 6 YEARS. When I called to resolve the issue no one was helpful. Asked to speak to a supervisor, nothing was done. Was told that someone would give me a call and no one has. I will be contacting the corporate office to WALMART soon as well as the Better Business Bureau because this is ridiculous. Now I am without money and will probably get kicked out my home. If I have to even go as far as getting a Lawyer, I WILL!

    I had a direct deposit that cleared my account and in the exact same day that it cleared 13 separate charges of $50 in California (I'm from Florida) appeared on my account. When I call to complain I was told that I had to wait until the transactions were no longer pending and then I can file a fraud claim. Once I filed my fraud claim, I was then told I had to send an information and that from the time they receive said information it would take 7 to 10 business days in order for them to finish their search. Then depending on what they determined then it will take another 10 to 15 business days in order for me to get my money back. I'm now in the first week of being out of $650, with no help whatsoever in sight from this company. As soon as I get my money back, I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

    This card is horrible. I got the card to purchase a plane ticket. Purchased the ticket, less than 24 hours later my card was froze. Had to verify my identity. Did required steps. Then received notice that they couldn't verify my identification after submitted documents. Customer service is a joke, no live person. The only way I actually got in contact with someone was through Facebook messenger and emails. They told me to resubmit my documents. Tried to submit once again. It tells me documents submitted previously. This card is a scam. Meanwhile they are siphoning the remaining balance though monthly fees. I'm looking into an attorney. Beware beware beware.

    I had my card blocked on 9/23/18 over a return and after being on hold for 45 minutes I was able to talk to a representative who fixed the issue and removed the block then and there. Now two weeks later my card is blocked again over another return. After 1.5 hours on hold between representatives and supervisors I was informed that they could not remove the block without copies of the original purchase. I send the copies of the return receipt, original receipt, and a letter from the business verifying the purchases.

    So after waiting the 2 days they said it would take they say they only received the letter. so now I had to send them the receipts in separate emails. Now they push me back two more days to review the documents. After waiting the 2 days I call and they say the status is pending and my money is safe and I will get a notification when the block is removed. Sorry if my trust is very little with this company as if they will actually release my funds and actually notify me when they will after reading all the horror stories on here. The customer service is hard to understand, and the waits are terrible. They rarely give you anything that is helpful toward resolving the issue. All they say is that they are sorry for the inconvenience and sorry for the wait and that they are unable to do anything at this moment.

    This card is great until you encounter issues. Unlike a bank there is no physical location and no way to get to a manager quickly. If You encounter any kind of issue with your money and ask to talk with someone in management, the customer service agent will tell you that they have to put in a request and allow two days to hear back. This is unacceptable when it comes to your money, at a bank you can get your issues resolved immediately. Some issues I have incurred with this card took 5 days to resolve, can you imagine waiting five days for your funds to be released and not being able to speak to someone who knows half of what they are talking about. I have waited on hold to speak with a customer service agent for up to an hour and a half. This card is a no go!!

    My account was hacked about a month ago. I did dispute it and they shut down my card. Whoever hacked my account even changed the email address I originally provided, so I had no way to access it online at all. Received a notice that they finish the review and funded my account the money. Why would you refund the money to a closed down account?? I called customer service, but I cannot get through because my social security number and date of birth aren't registering. Well apparently there is no way to speak to anyone w/out it matching up. What kind of unhelpful ** is that?? Still can't access the money that was stolen and refunded and there is no way to speak to anyone. The letter I received doesn't even have a number to call.

    This has been a complete nightmare. I had a transaction deducted from my account on 9/20/18. I filed a disputed as instructed and the representative told me it would take 10 business day to resolve the dispute. I called on the 11th business day and received another date of 45 days to resolve the issue. At that point I closed the account. Today I found out the company sent the money back I went to log into the prepaid account and there it was just sitting there since the 8th October. I call the customer service line and they stated the only way to receive my money is for them to send it by mail in a check form which will take another 10 days. At that point will be well over a month from the time I filed the dispute.

    Please, please do yourself a favor and run AWAY from this company. They are not here to help or protect the customer as a regular bank typically has dispute resolved in half the time frame than what Walmart MoneyCard lies to you about. There are many banks you can go through if you need a debit cards with no credit, first time banking or bad credit. Wells Fargo Opportunity Checking is one of them. At this point I’m going the legal route in order for me to receive my money because I don’t believe a word they say. And all of their representatives are from overseas and it is hard to understand them and they really don’t care about your issues. COMPLETE TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!!

    Updated on 10/16/2018: I gave Walmart Money Card/Green Dot the opportunity to respond to my request and as you can see from my two previous post not one response was made from them. I also filed multiple complaints on other sites including theirs. As well as a written complaint the FDIC which sent a response letting me know my complaint has been forwarded onto Federal Reserve of Governors. Do yourself a favor if you have done your part with attempts on getting this resolve by phone. Please don't wait for long periods of time before going the legal route. 90% of the attorneys will assist you with your Consumer Fraud Claim and charge the company for legal fees and damages. Good luck to everyone and sorry you all had to encounter this nightmare. Please DO NOT GIVE UP, be sure that you fight to end!!!

    I have just recently found out that my Walmart Money Card has been blocked and pending a review due a charge on my card that I have reported. I've read some the reviews that other customers like myself have reported and honestly I cannot say that I am not concerned because I am... So now I apparently have to go on the secure website to upload a picture of my ID/Driver's License in which I have attempted to do and it is now saying that my card number is not found. So I'm not sure if I have to wait until I receive my new card in order to be able to upload my picture ID...     I've used Walmart MoneyCard since 2013-ish. I have my social security direct deposited to the account. From there I use the free bill pay service that come with the card/account to pay bills. It has only been swiped at a check out terminal perhaps once in the past 3 years. A few days ago I logged into my account to use bill pay to pay a credit card bill and noticed 6 charges totaling almost $700. I immediately called up the customer service number listed on the card. I got a person whose accent was so thick I had to keep asking them to repeat themselves, and the noise in that call center was unreal. I reported these disputed charges to the lady on the line. She seemed clueless as to how to handle the situation.

    At one point I actually had to ask, "shouldn't you like cancel the card or account or something to keep any more funds from being removed?" To which she actually responded, "I don't know." She could not really tell me anything. They will open an investigation and I will hear something in 10 business days. As to when or if I would get my money credited back, she had no idea. Why did not someone notice the change in activity on the card? For years only bill pay service had been used, then all of a sudden it is being used in stores in New Jersey when I live in Tennessee. (Btw the card is still in my possession - so it was cloned at some point, but when? It hasn't been swiped.) I am not a happy customer at this point. I would like to know when to expect my money to be returned. I am willing to cooperate in any way I can to get this resolved quickly.

    I had read many reviews complaining about disputes so I decided I had to share my experience. I had two major charges in another city on my account. I assume it was my carelessness as I had another debit card hacked at the same time. I sent in the dispute form and within a week I was credited for both transactions and had a card expedited to my house in time for payday. I was extremely impressed and thankful.

    Like many more reviews I see on here. I too am experiencing the same issue with my money I work hard for. Typically my direct deposit is already on the card by Thursday morning around 4:00am. This morning I got no deposit and upon placing a call to the automated line I discover my direct deposit is under review and I can’t get any additional details from an agent. This is the shadiest crap I’ve ever experienced with Walmart. Notice how they only respond to positive reviews? Quite evasive I’d say. I will never use another Walmart MoneyCard again after this experience! Highly disappointed and dissatisfied!

    I got this card little over 2 years ago. There was fraud activity with my account so I opened a dispute and now 3 days later on my payday they are holding my check because of technical difficulties with no explanation, will not tell me when I will have my money on my card. Well today I was curious as to why it didn’t post after all this time. I was instructed by the automated system to check with my employer first. Everything was great and done the same as always and sent as usual no differences. I call the customer service for Walmart MoneyCard and was told that they are having a direct deposit delay and the engineers are working to resolve this and sorry for the inconvenience.

    So... What about the return fees from my creditors or bills that I have auto drafted from my account? Is there any compensation for this? Still response is “at this time we have no more information”. So I’m just not suppose to get my pay because you have no back up plan when your direct deposit is down? And I’m told to just keep checking the site and app! This is the worst and it sucks! I don’t have the luxury of waiting on my funds cause I have plenty more saved up! I want my funds and I want them now!

    Up until today I had never had any issues with any direct deposits. However, when I went to check my balance, the automated voice says, "Your direct deposit for $10.47 on October 10, 2018, has not posted because it is under review." I'm confused. I get direct deposits all the time, have for several years just like clockwork. This is the first time there's ever been a review on a direct deposit. No matter the amount, it's money and money from my job. I just need to find out why there is a review on the direct deposit when there is and has never been any suspicious or illegitimate activity on my account. Thanks.

    So every time I shop at Safeway my account gets charged twice but for a few cents in difference, weird. I'm not going to write a letter for 5 to 10 dollars so they got me twice and never shopped at Safeway again. This time they put a hold on my card, saying Circle K has a pending charge, already spoken to Circle K corporate and they didn't charge me. It's been three days and everything is frozen. So time for a letter, not even an email. What is this? I'm broke!

    I have had this card for a little over a year. Never had a problem until now. My wife and I are the only ones who used the card. On Saturday September 22, 2018 my wife bought us breakfast after her work meeting. Not even 2 hours later we received an alert for a transaction of $449.17 used at a DSW in a location over 5 hours away from us. Right away we called to dispute the transaction. They gave us a dispute # and asked us to write them a detail report. So we did and included the dispute # on the letter. We now been informed that it's been denied. How can we use our card 5 hours away if we only have 1, which my wife used it in the morning after work and I had work that evening so I couldn't even be out of town. We both have clock in reports too and Google GPS location history proving we weren't out of town.

    I would give 0 stars if I could. Have money on a card. Call to dispute a charged. My card has been blocked. I submitted a pictured Id as they said I had to and the block was supposed to be removed in 2 bus days. It's been a week and it's still blocked. I don't know how I'm going to pay my bills. My money is in that account but they won't remove the block even though they have sent me a new card. Try calling customer service and it's just an automated message and I can't talk to anyone. This is just a scam. Walmart MoneyCard took my money.

    I went to a Family Dollars and the cashier somehow was able to take 85.00 off my card after I left the store, my card was charged 85.00 and all I bought was a package of gum, so I called Walmart Moneycard for protection, and what they do? "BLOCKED"!!!! me out of my own card, and Then asked for me to sent in my I.D. to unblock, when all I wanted was them to put my money back on my card that I didn't authorize. This company sucks, the system sucks when calling in, with all their billions, they could do better.

    They blocked my card! I’m a single mother of two boys. I have to pay rent today and bills and get my sons' diapers. I have been on the phone waiting for 2 hrs and still waiting! I got my check deposited today and then my account got blocked. I have to pay rent today!!! Or I lose my place! I’m not too happy! 2 hrs I have heard “we are experiencing high call volume”! Hope you guys like ripping off single mothers!

    Someone got ahold to my card information and swiped out the remaining balance on my card. I called and disputed the charges and requested for a new card. They told me that they would reimburse me the money and send me another card and that I should expect in 7 business days. It has now been almost 2 weeks and I still have not received my new card. I have no access to my money and I have direct deposit. I have bills and other important things to take care of and y’all have my money tied up. I’ve tried to call customer service but to wait almost a half hour and still not talk to a representative is beyond ridiculous. I will be stopping my direct deposit after today. I have never had this much of a problem to get a new card or get access to my money that I’ve worked for. DO BETTER!

    I have an incorrect address and I am trying to prevent my card from going to the wrong address. I have been trying for several days to correct it. Customer service says I have to go online, when I go online I get a message that say I have to get it changed through customer service. I have had this account for 2 weeks and still can't get any help. Customer service constantly tells me to go online then hangs up quickly on me before I get a chance to even explain the issue I am having. I really wish I knew of other services that I can use instead of Walmart. I am tired of Walmart already and it's only been 2 weeks. I don't know who they are paying to do those reviews but they are absolutely not true.
