    I paid off my loan in October of 2021, selling now and these fools have never release the lien. You fools have been paid off for 4 damn years. Now I have to jump through hoops to get that document electronically and sent to my new address. NEVER USE THIS BANK FOR ANYTHING.

    US Bank, you obliterated my stellar financial standing by terminating ALL FOUR accounts I had with you, without even giving a rationale to Customer Service or the local branch. "The letters are in the mail" is all any human being could say to me. Personal Checking, Personal Line, Personal Loan, and a Credit Card were ALL closed without a moment's notice, whilst doing renovations to my house and taking short summer vacations, in the interim. The letters belatedly arrived noting that each account was terminated for "suspected fraudulent activity". Even the local bankers were mortified for me. I had been an exceptional loyal customer for 24 years with you, US Bank, even when overseas with the military! Thankfully, Bank of America swooped in to help begin picking up the shattered pieces of my life and will forever hold my business and, now, my heart in the palm of their hands. To give you even one star, is one star too many.

    Disputed a fraudulent charge for concert tickets trough Etix.com someone used our debit card number to purchase, sent to a different address than ours for a concert in KC (We live in Denver). USBank Fraud agent closed the case stating the merchant (Etix) claimed the charge was legitimate and could prove we made the purchase because the billing address matched (when in fact it did not). Agent didn't change their mind even when this was pointed out more than once.

    US Bank recently froze my account for 6 weeks and returned funds from treasury benefit I had earned that were 100% legitimate. I had a large deposit wired to US Bank, transferred funds to other accounts and paid bills. They froze my account for “suspicious activity” and initiated a return of funds to treasury dept. I provided proof of legitimacy and wire which showed their validity at local branch, efraud dept, forgery dept and district managers at US Bank.

    The director of the federal program from where the funds came called them and verified their legitimacy. They ignored all of this, instead using a faulty fraud detection system that Bank Of America used in 2022 and was fined millions for customer abuse and their error. I had no access to pay bills, review my account or access my rightful funds. US Bank treated me like a criminal when I did ZERO wrong. The only criminal act committed was US Bank seizing my funds. STAY FAR AWAY FROM US BANK.

    **** BEWare*** before banking with USBank. I started purchasing crypto and every so often a fraud alert would flag my account and normally would be removed after a verification completing a verification process through the fraud department. Now all of a sudden after 3 trips to the local branch upon showing all requested documentation my account was frozen by the risk department even though no fraud was detected and now I can't even close my own account until who knows when. This is totally unacceptable and had caused a horrendous inconvenience.

    U.S. Bank falls on its face when it comes to money electronically transferred from an external account. Don't electronically transfer money from an external banking account to U.S. Bank unless you want to wait over a week for it to be deposited. It'll yank the funds from your bank right away and sit on it for over a week or more before they credit your U.S. Bank account. Go to a branch and transfer the money. It'll be credited that same day.

    US Bank continually finds new and innovative ways to charge its customers fees. Don't bother with this bank. They will agree you meet the requirements to have the fees waived one day, then change the requirements the next.

    Simply, stay away from this bank ... Customer service that only helps you to get more frustrated and upset. Setting up online account is a rocket science. Their website is more down than up. Spent 2 hrs. trying to troubleshoot the log in issues. At the end, I gave up and requested to close my VISA Shield credit card I had only for about three weeks.

    US Bank is no good!!! All they know how to do is say I'm sorry. Will not honor what they sell. Supposed have 50$ overdraft no matter. But not true. They say after they sucker you in the system picks if they gonna let you use the overdraft. What bullshit bank.

    Horrible service. Right hand doesn’t know about what left hand is doing! My car lease was up july 26. My last payment was July 1. Car was picked up from my driveway on July 29th by US bank. I keep on receiving calls from us bank that my August payment was not received and my account is still open! This entity is a joke!!!

    These guys are crooks... If you have options, do not look at them... I requested a balance transfer and was hit with an immediate hard inquiry. Their algo sucks, so it didn't even pick up my credit card balance to be transferred. Now they want to do a second inquiry to actually do some underwriting. Two inquiries with no clear understanding if they will approve my request. Customer service is horrendous. They will not give any guidance and practical advise. These guys are legal crooks. Don't apply!

    First issue. Paid for a stop payment on a reoccurring bill. Bill came out anyways. Got over-drafted, had to pay the bill/stop payment price, and overdraft fees. Closed my bank account with them. Now with the credit card, got charged 3x for a Sam's Club membership due to a software glitch, told by the manager of the Sam's club to dispute the 3 charges, disputed with US bank, bank declines all 3 disputes... Will be closing the credit card account shortly. This is what happens when everything becomes an unchecked monopoly, it's not mistakes, it's all by design.

    I’m writing this review to express my deep frustration with U.S. Bank’s customer service. If you’re not computer-savvy or if you value straightforward, helpful support, this is not the bank for you. One of the most alarming things I experienced is their request for login credentials as part of their identity verification process. In an age where bank scams and phishing attempts are rampant, it’s completely irresponsible to ask customers for that kind of sensitive information, especially after I had already provided other details to verify my identity. Their security measures and customer service approach seem to completely disregard the needs of elderly or less tech-literate clients. There is little to no accommodation or flexibility for those who need real, human help. Bottom line: Bank anywhere else and you’ll likely receive better, safer, and more accessible support.

    They constantly have system updated and I feel it is so rare to be able to even use my card or the mobile banking app. I'm tempted to close my account and just use straight cash everywhere because banks have proven to be untrustworthy. Especially US Bank.

    It was extremely hard to set up a business bank account with US Bank. When I was able to get an account it took weeks to deposit money into the account which should be simple. When I thought the account was set up, US Bank shut the account down days later due to potential fraud. Now it is taking over a month to get my deposit back. I have been on hold with the fraud department for hours in total. I went into branch locations but they are not able to help. I am struggling to get MY money/deposit back. It is ridiculous!

    Horrible service. Any other bank can look up your credit and deny you or accept you. They purposely waste your time using your information who knows for what. Highly advise to find any other bank. This people just get customers because of their past.

    I am referring to 4451 Central Ave. Refused to do: First: I refused to do online. Second, would not do wire money to my sister's account. Third, they lost my two rent checks and I got evicted because of them not willing to do their job. Fourth, every time I went to see them, they would say no and walk away from me and refuse to give me what their name was. I have really received bad service at your bank, that man and woman, under 25, will not do anything to assist me in any way except to tell me all this can be done online. I am not the online person. I go to a bank to have my banking done. We used to bank that away, please please contact your workers.

    I’ve never had so many issues. Being thrown back and forth from regular customer service to wealth management and then back again to regular and back again to wealth management all to close an account. Being told over and over to go to a physical branch nearby. Terrible.

    I have been with U.S. Bank for over 50 years. I have been totally satisfied until this year. The service has gotten very bad. They have outsourced to the Philippines which I personally so not like. The reps. do speak English but they are often quite difficult to understand and they frequently speak over me so that it is a problem to inform them of the reason for the call. One of the worst decisions they have made this year is to use Fiserv, a private company to do some of their banking concerns. I have been trying for well over a week to contact them in regard to a letter that I received about my acct. I cannot connect to a representative no matter what I do. I have been disconnected several times. Often when I key my information in I am told they cannot process my information. In looking up the reviews of Fiserv I found they have zero plus reviews. Please USBank go back to being the bank that serves your customer needs as before.

    This bank is so archaic, it feels like we're living in the Mesozoic Era (dinosaur ages). Everything is done through the mail or fax. I haven't seen a fax machine in maybe 15 years. The customer service is also atrocious—often having to repeat yourself, receiving wrong information from each representative you're redirected to, and then not being believed that someone just said that to you—slow and exhausting. If you're disputing a charge, don't expect to be supported by them in any way. A representative I spoke to didn't know what day it was or how to do simple math (13-6). Don't. Avoid.

    I made a telephone appointment and the banker called 40 minutes after the appointment. She could not help me and just kept telling me to go online. I then made a physical appointment at the bank. They said it was the bank manager. The appointment was at 9am. By 9:35 he still did not show up. I had to leave. Terrible. They should cancel the appointment if they are not meeting with you.

    US Bank does not offer any consumer protection in the event of fraud or scams that affect your account. They will take a dispute, but I was told the dispute was submitted only because they're required to take it. They ultimately will not assist in a remedy, despite being a long time customer. CAUTION: Be very careful before trusting them with your money.

    I’ve banked with U.S. Bank for several years, but after repeated issues I feel compelled to warn others.

    Excessive holds on cashier’s checks: U.S. Bank routinely places 10-day (or longer) holds on my cashier’s-check deposits—even though the funds clear the Federal Reserve in roughly 48 hours. This isn’t an occasional glitch; it happens several times every month, needlessly tying up thousands of dollars and disrupting my cash flow.

    Unreasonable debit-card spending cap: Despite depositing over $300,000 per year and maintaining healthy balances, my standard debit-card purchase limit has been stuck at $1,500/day. I’ve repeatedly requested a modest increase to $5,000, but the answer is always “no.” It’s my money, yet U.S. Bank treats me like a credit-risk stranger.

    Ineffective customer service & no clear escalation path: Front-line reps are polite but rarely resolve anything—they shuffle me between departments or promise callbacks that never happen. When I ask for a supervisor, I’m told “no manager is available.” After dozens of calls, it feels as though there’s no real management structure or it’s outsourced beyond reach.

    Bottom line: U.S. Bank consistently withholds legitimately cleared funds, imposes arbitrary limits that hinder basic spending, and fails to provide meaningful customer support. If you value timely access to your money and responsive service, consider banking elsewhere.

    Definitely the worst customer service ever. Last month I had to dispute a charge and was told that future charges would be blocked. Well, it wasn't and caused my account to go into a negative and being charged an overdraft fee. I was told again that they would file a new claim and reverse the overcharge.. That was 5 days ago and hasn't changed. Now I have 2 more overcharge fees added.. So 3 at 36.00 because they have not issued a credit. I used to have Wells Fargo and it would only take 1 to 2 days. Will never use this bank again.

    Stay AWAY from this pathetic institution! I went to get $7,000 out of my account and was told they don't have "that much cash on hand" that it has to be ordered and processed! $7K? WTF. Their procedures changed with the wind. Manager is always "in a meeting". At least once a month, they have a sign on the door "closed due to emergency". And don't even think of getting a hold of customer service. Also, they lie about their promotions. Take your business elsewhere.

    Would give zero stars if possible. However it's not. Been a customer for years. Started at 16 and I'm 52. Over the years things have deteriorated. Today was the worst. Had my phone payment set up for auto pay and per the customer service rep with US Bank my card was suspended without them talking to me because stinker where I have gotten gas for years did a pre authorization of one dollar and US Bank this time chose to block my card from future charges without speaking with me. This caused my auto pay for my phone which I have also had for years to be declined. That caused me to lose $20 from T-Mobile for having auto PayPal bill.

    I called the bank help line. First girl was not helpful. Second girl was not helpful. Third person who was supposedly just below the bank president got on the phone and called me Tiffany which is not my name. I had to point out that wasn't my name. He was not helpful either. He said the call was recorded so hopefully management above him will listen and see how ridiculous their employees are and work towards better problem resolution. Phone call started at 6:10 pm on 6/12 and lasted 70 minutes.

    1-Star Review for US Bank. Absolutely infuriating. I have never been so frustrated with a bank in my life. I had $20,000 in my account, yet US Bank constantly blocked me from accessing my own money. They denied my card multiple times — even for basic things like paying my rent. When I finally went to a branch to withdraw my funds, they treated me like I was trying to rob the place. They only let me take out $2,000 and told me that no other branch had enough cash for me to get the rest of my money. Excuse me? It’s my money. I felt like I was being held hostage by my own bank. If you want a bank that will trap your money and deny you at every turn, US Bank is the one. I’ll be closing my account and telling everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. Zero stars if I could.

    I'd give-10000000 if an option... I received an check and wanted to make sure it was good and exc. I called in and went into branch. Was told only way to check it was to deposit it so I did. At no point was I told that if it wasn't good they were going to lock accounts 45-90 day and that I would no longer be a customer and I may not get any of my original money back.

    Every single person said, "There's nothing we can do" ... and I said, "Ok if you can't then give me someone who can." They said there is no one!!! Huh funny if ended up finding someone to get me a checking account back then was told that I had to wait a day to reset all my online info and given a number to call. I did and followed directions exactly and it locked my accounts again so called in 3 more times and told no one can help me. I'm locked out for minimum 2 days then told a manager would call me back. Never did and I'm sure never will!!! IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO GET YOUR LIFE SCREWED OVER BY A COMPANY THIS IS THE ONE.

    Tesla End of Lease process is not customer friendly. Tesla Account will not let you remove the vehicle you turn in until US Bank Leasing and Tesla Leasing complete the process. Our car was picked up, sold at auction to a dealership, and then sold to a new owner. New owner starting charging the car we turned in and subscribing to Full Self Driving. The car we turned in is 1 of 4 we have in our account. Our payment is tied to all 4 cars. Therefore, until US Bank and Tesla Leasing remove the car from our account we are being charged for all the new owners Tesla expenses.

    We have had a mortgage account with US Bank for over 20 years and have decided to pay it off a few years early. We called, and immediately entered a nightmare of automation hell. Went to the Ankeny US Bank to pay, but was told we couldn't until the 1st of the next month. SO... called many Des Moines US Bank #'s, even the # listed to talk to a 'real' person. After 2 days trying, we called Larry **, Mtg Branch Mgr in DM, to be sent to his voice mail. If we don't hear from him, we will get the media involved. We've concluded that US Bank only takes your money, like a robot. NO human interaction. STAY AWAY FROM US BANK!!!

    Worst customer service and bank ever. Worst customer service and runaround I've ever dealt with. Wanted to buy my vehicle at end of lease and U.S. Bank lied about not receiving my payoff check from my credit union, and only thing that saved me was that I had sent it FedEx Priority with signature required. They wasted 6 weeks of my time and since their online banking is useless, 20+ phone calls to force them to give me my title and refund money they shouldn't have charged me in the first place. That and they kept telling me I had to email "their manager" who never responded at all. Worst experience ever, Worst customer service ever, and will never get any of my business again. Avoid U. S. Bank at all costs, pun very much intended.

    So their rates are seriously competitive and the way they allow you to manage your credit is phenomenal. This is the primary reason for more than 1 star and had me briefly eyeing some investments through them, that turned into a whole other issue and let's just say, I walked away. The process wasn't as smooth as they claimed and took longer than expected as well. When you want to make a payment you MUST give them access to your bank account. Hard no here. So I tried to call in a payment, lady was rude when I didn't hear something she said and I asked her to repeat it (I was switching from speaker to handheld to hear her better after being on hold ) also same push. No.

    Then I try to make a complaint. This upcoming is why I may payoff and never use again this is guttural for me. Lady straight up lied to me. I can not stand liars to my core. Not only can you not make a complaint, there is no manager, no number, nada, but she will put you on hold multiple times hoping you give up and hang up. This is why this complaint will be posted everywhere I can find. I just can't stand sleazy scheming liars!

    Worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! Service at the local branch is outstanding but their on-line and automated phone service is the absolute worst. You will wait a minimum of 30 minutes to talk to anyone and then you get someone that is off shore and in a very noise room. I was so frustrated that at one point I asked to speak to a supervisor to which their responses was that I would get the same help from a supervisor. I ended up driving to my local branch to fix a very simple on-line bill payment issue. Kind of defeats the purpose of on-line banking when you have to drive to the local branch!

    I have made three appointments with U.S. Bank - Encino Commons and Sherman Oaks. None were kept by the U.S. Bank staff mentioned in the appointment. Calls to these two branches were NEVER answered. One star is too good for them.

    US Bank is easily the worst credit agency I have ever worked with. Mainly, they do not process your payments and then they don't want to return fees that they charge. It has gotten so bad that I started using the amount of my payment to reflect the date that my EFT bank check was sent.. It takes a MINIMUM - a MINIMUM of two weeks to process payments. Most often, it's closer to THREE WEEKS - THREE WEEKS to process EFT bank payments from your bank. Their remedy is to allow them to take directly from your personal bank account.. Oh - well would that not be convenient for them! Go ahead and read some of the horror stories about US Bank adding zeros to your auto payments and the trouble you go through getting them to pay for the fees you incur as a result. This is easily the worst bank ever, don't do business with them.

    AVOID U.S.BANK. I opened a Money Market Account with US Bank last summer with an attractive interest rate of 4.1 percent. Unbeknownst to me and without warning or notification, they lowered the rate to 1 percent on January 1st, 2025. I only found out because I happened to have a question about my account in reviewing my tax document. Interest rates have not changed during this time. If you choose to invest your money with U.S. Bank, you will need to watch your account very carefully!

    The tellers were rude, dismissive, and treated me with contempt today. Been there for 20 years and was just asking why a teller the previous day had given me contradicting information and I had made my 4th trip there in person with requested paperwork, and the tellers today treated me like absolute garbage they had stepped in. I was polite, calm, and respectful, they were anything but. I have over 2 million dollars in business with them over 20 years, I will be going elsewhere.

    US Bank does not give customers the option to upload payment cards online. They state you have to call them directly which isn't efficient and time consuming. I called them to inquire about this. They insisted you can do this online and asked the rep to show me. Didn't see options anywhere. She responded, 'You have to ask me real nicely and maybe I'll show you.' I couldn't believe it. I called a second time and the next rep insisted I open a fraud claim? That had NOTHING to do with asking where I could add add'l bank card to pay credit card bill

    Horrible service and knowledge. They assign you a mortgage manager to make it sound like there is someone there to help you, yet the person is nonexistent and you can never get ahold of them. They don't train their associates, and then they tell you something incorrect, and it's on you. I've lost thousands in rates due to inaccurate information US Bank associates have advised. Do not use them for anything!

    I have been a customer of U.S. Bank for several years, but my recent experiences have been extremely disappointing. The automated phone system is incredibly frustrating and impersonal. It keeps you stuck in an endless loop, making it nearly impossible to reach a real person. When you finally do get through, the service is often unhelpful and lacks the personal touch that customers deserve. It feels like U.S. Bank is more focused on efficiency than on actually helping their customers. I expected better from such a large institution.

    I wish I could say that in the 25 years I have been with U.S. Bank my overall experience has been good, but the last few interactions will override a lot of my feelings about U.S. Bank. I looked for a credit union with no checking account fees and when I found one I like, I called U.S. Bank and asked to close my checking account.

    The person I talked with asked if I was leaving because of checking fees. I said that was a large part of why and she told me she could transfer my money to a fee-free checking account. This felt like an insult because why was that not offered to me in the first place? The checking account I already have used to be free. She told me I had no pending transactions and that the easiest way to close the account was to go ahead and transfer all funds out and then call to close the account. So today I learned that "pending transactions" only apply to the debit card. One day after I emptied my account, the payment for my energy bill posted and I was hit with an overdraft fee.

    I called to plead my case and ask for the fee to be forgiven, but the person I talked to could do nothing. She said that an email had been sent telling me that I could get the fee waived if I could get money into my account within 24 hours. No transfer I have ever done happens that fast, so even though I did initiate a transfer as soon as I got the email, I missed the window to have the fee waived. They know that that is not enough time and in my opinion it is despicable. I feel sad that U.S. Bank is finding ways to nickel and dime their customers because for a long time I liked them very much. And yes, to be fair, I should have been more thorough in making sure I had no more pending transactions, but I still feel misled.

    My first experience with US bank was not great. Last Friday, I went to a branch inside a Safeway at 2140 W Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ, to have my name added to a checking account. The checking account is for our water well, which is located on our property and, therefore, mine. While we have several other families on the well, only one of the users is on this checking account. Our property sat empty for a while, and this user set up a checking account and has been taking care of the well-checking account for several years. We had all the proper paperwork, and what should have taken 15 minutes ended up over an hour.

    The employee with the initials AC would not let me put my name on the account. I can not begin to explain how awful this experience was, and I'll set up a new account with another financial institution this week. I'll be honest: I was not friendly when I left; the distance I had to drive to get there and the excruciating pain in my knees from standing all this time left me very unhappy. I will never use this bank for anything; this employee needs to return to customer service training. She failed the first time she took that course.

    Needed to transfer money out and close account. Went in to branch and started wire transfer. Before I could even get home they were calling saying I was rejected because of incorrect information. The person at the branch seemed to not know what they were doing and entered info wrong. So the receiving bank called the wire transfer line and spoke to someone to get in straightened out. They were told all was good and all I needed to do was call to verify. When I called the wire transfer lone the lady I spoke to was extremely rude and stated she could not help me and I needed to go back into a branch. I will be closing all my accounts and tell anyone who will listen their money would be better stuck under a mattress than with this bank.

    I would not have given one star if that wasn't what it required to even make this review. I hate and despise & US BANK. They make constant mistakes on your mortgage. They don't send anything in writing and then because of their mistakes and their dirty errors they send negative reviews and reporting to TransUnion Equifax Experian because of their disgusting mistakes that they have made.

    I know that it is a privilege to own a home in the United States of America but I despise and I'm sorry every day did I find none through US Bank and I would tell anybody if you are looking to buy a home, a car or anything run as far and fast as you can from US Bank because they will mess up your credit score drastically losing hundreds of points because of their disgusting mistakes. They have horrible bookkeeping. I despise them and I'm sorry that I have ever done business with them and I would tell anybody run from this bank and stay away from it by any means necessary‼️‼️

    I was a member of US Bank on 30th and L. I been with this bank for 2 years. I notice that someone was taking my money, I thought it was me so I carefully watched my spending and started locking my account. When I finally knew it was the bank I went down there and talked to them in a professional manner. I notice after that the stealing stopped. But later in the weeks they froze my account. Told me I will get a letter in the mail and my funds will come in cashier's check. Well I finally got a letter saying I fail to file a 1099. I do income care for my adopted son and I get foster adoption payment. Cause he's Autism and with Regional it's a large amount but there's no taxes. If you stay in same house with client there's no taxes. The other foster check is to take care of him. Still tax free. I didn't get a clear understanding what I did.

    I'm a licensed nurse but my adopted grandson is suicidal so he's under protected services with IHHS. So he gets a lot of hours which tax free. They didn't allow me to pick up my balance and my check went back to IHhS. So I'm just waiting on my money. So sad cause I feel like me addressing my issue made them close my account. I'm 59yrs old and never experienced this before. I was told I can't bank at any US banks. I'm a nurse, I don't have a record or anything. This bank is wrong.

    US Bank uses predatory practices with credit cards - including NOT notifying you they will conduct a hard pull on your credit when requesting a rate increase. No other major bank does this.     There is a U.S. Bank in my neighborhood. I went to withdraw money from an ATM when the transaction didn't initialize because the PIN number was being skimmed as I was waiting for the machine to dispense the cash. Once I checked my account, I discovered the money had been withdrawn but it wasn't dispensed to me; instead it ended up in someone else's account at some other U.S. Bank location miles from the one where I live. Everything about this was fraudulent. I filed a police report. You should be forcibly removed from your CEO chair.

    If you are a small business looking for a bank, DO NOT GO TO US BANK! My vendor gave me a bank check, WRITTEN BY A BANK WHICH ENSURES THE FUNDS ARE THERE, and I used mobile deposit as I was not in my home state at the time. I received an email 2 hours later stating the deposit was approved, a portion was released for immediate use, and the rest would be available no later than one business day. I then found out on the next business day (because no follow up email was sent) that the bank retracted the deposit, charged me a nonsufficient funds fee for the small immediate amount they originally let me have, and put a 7 business day hold on the deposit, which after a holiday and weekend the hold came to 13 DAYS.

    As a small business owner I rely on these deposits for my bills! I spoke by chat to find out what could be done. He said nothing but here is the local branch phone number. They put me on a "brief hold" which turned out to be 27 minutes when I finally hung up. I tried calling today again to try and get this released as it has now been 10 days and I need the money, they stated there was nothing to be done and it will be released when they said it would (despite it BEING A BANK CHECK AND ALREADY CLEARED ON THE OTHER END). If you rely on your payments to survive, DO NOT BANK WITH US BANK.

    We have had accounts with US Bank for almost 10 years along with accounts with a local credit union. Last week I closed one account and will close the other when the CD matures. Customer service slowly getting so bad that my last encounter she all but sneered at us. I don't expect friendliness but courtesy and pleasantness should be expected. I know they are overworked and short staffed for years but I know many business that are also short staffed and don't treat you like an inconvenience to them. After 3 trips to correct their mistakes I just closed the account and she didn't say ONE word. Just handed me the check and turned away. Horrible! Moving on!

    I have made several over payments through the years. Trying to save money. They took out their interest first then applied the rest towards the principal. After about a few years I noticed it so I called and thought surely, it's a mistake. But they confirmed the extra payments went towards the interest first then the principal when it should have all went towards the principal. Be sure to check your statement and always call to ask questions. Call more than once because you might get a different answer on the same question.

Wil **, a U.S. Bank Client Relationship Consultant attempted to help me with my problem. He was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable, and found and fixed numerous things that were not up-to-date. I believe he is an employee you can be very proud of. He exceeded my expectations in every respect!

    I had a business account with a credit card. Unfortunately, the business didn’t work out and folded with a credit card balance. I made arrangements to take of that balance and still answered collections calls, reiterating the arrangement to clear the date. Today, without warning, US Bank wiped out my personal checking account - without warning - leaving me $36 to get from Dec 17 through the end of the month…. A week before Xmas!!! A devastating event for me and my family. I would understand if I hadn’t been proactive addressing the debt and answering their collections calls. I spent four hours on the phone today trying to reverse the transaction (so I can heat my home and have Xmas with my family)… nobody I spoke with had any interest in helping, I was just passed back and forth.

    One customer service person had so little interest in helping, she didn’t even notice when I stopped speaking and couldn’t paraphrase what I said. She finally instructed me to send a fax to the office of the president!!! She was helpful enough to tell me I could find a fax machine at some public libraries…. The resolution - some request for reconsideration was generated that will take 14 days to review. I pay my bills and my debts. This experience is unlike any I’ve ever had. It is utterly mind-boggling. And maddening. I will never do business with US Bank again. Beware if you are considering banking with them.

    I have my mortgage and HELOC with US Bank. I’m trying to pay off higher interest credit cards and a banker told me I’d have to reapply for a whole new loan to transfer my prior loan balance and the credit card debt. I spent hours organizing and submitting all the paperwork they asked for. There was a lot of back and forth in the process. There were a lot of phone calls. I didn’t want to take on any more debt than that which I already have. Not one penny. All I wanted was for my bank to help me out by offering me assistance with a better interest rate. I have an excellent credit history and a high credit score, but not a great income, so I was declined. One email. No banker called me. Just dropped like a hot potato.

    After all that time, effort, communication? Nothing? Way to go, US Bank. So disappointed. I wish I was at a point in my financial life to quit you completely. Oh, additionally, I just got charged a late fee and an annual membership fee for a credit card that I don’t use and was given no notification for either of those two charges. Excuse me?

    I never had a complaint about US bank until a couple of months ago. They changed their automated system and it is really awful. It doesn't give you the correct balance on your checking account anymore and charges that you make don't show up on your account until about two days later. I don't know what they did, but they need to fix the system and change it back to the way it used to be.

    I had a regular yearly charge on my debit card that they flagged as fraud this time and shut off my card. They authorized the charge but claimed they didn't. They mentioned sending me a text about it, yet despite giving them my phone number multiple times, they allege they sent the message to someone else, who also did not receive any communication from US Bank.

    Then I couldn't navigate the phone menu to speak with them and get the card reactivated, because I had to enter the number to which their nonexistent message was sent. So, if it had been fraud, they would have permitted it, and because it wasn't, I was unable to resolve the issue. Every single action they claimed to have taken in response to potential fraud (despite turning off the card a day later) did not actually occur. This is the third time this has happened, and yes, my phone number was updated (again) after the last incident. I'm leaving US Bank because of this. I do not recommend them, and they were my childhood bank.

    Really scammy “bank.” They did the thing, in years past, when they would withdrawal charges out of order (the largest first) so they could max out overdraft fees. It’s my understanding they lost that suit. Now I’m seeing regular “maintenance” over weekends and every single, I swear to you, every single Monday my charges are off. I will have 0$ in my accounts or like $0.32 and then magically have money in them Tuesday. Their banking site doesn’t add up anymore the charges are off and not running in a timely fashion. The people are extremely rude and I’m sure it's hard everywhere with customer service, but US Bank workers are exceptionally unconcerned and indifferent. From the reviews I’ve been readying seems like they are holding money for as long as they can for whatever reason they can make stick…? Hard pass everyone.

    Loyal customer for over a decade, yet they played me for a quick buck! Had just a checking and savings account all my life, until the teller at US bank claimed I was “losing money” by not having their “MoneyMarket” account. So, my savings went there and it was okay for a couple months. However, I soon realized that having less in savings dinged my FICO score AND the 4.5% interest rate they touted is now only 2% (teller said it rarely dips below 4%). I’m currently house-shopping with my family and learn my FICO score decreased, all because US Bank wanted to put my money into the stock market. Going to close the account and go back to normal, but that too will cause ding to FICO score. Soooo unprofessional of them not to mention these effects and I am literally shopping for a new bank now (after 15 years or more with US Bank).

    I was doing fine. Made all my payments on time. Problem was I was behind on my taxes but always paid them. Had lived in the house for 15 years and never did I not pay them. Well the bank went ahead and paid them without my consent. Jacked my payment up 150.00 dollars a month for taxes that are 860.00 a year. This of course caused great financial strain. Barely able to make the payments. Have to pay late fees. Constantly worried about losing my house. Well today I called, paid off all the back taxes they paid and let them know I would go back to paying them myself. Well needless to say they won't let me. Instead I now have to pay 100.00 more a month. 1200 a year on taxes that are 860. I don't know how they get away with this but I will be doing my best to find a different bank before I lose my home which I believe is their intent.

    U Yes Bank is financing my house. I've had them for the last 3 years and it's been a struggle at first one of the U. Yes Bank workers opted me out of my original plan. So for a whole year, my account has been all freeze. I have not been able to pay my mortgage. Then this year, 2024 I was told by A US worker that my mortgage was one amount. Ask for a call back from a manager weeks ago. Never received that call Then I received a call today from another worker. To tells me that the last representative gave me the wrong information. But there's nothing I can do about it. I still have to pay the amount. So for the second time I was giving the wrong information and there's nothing no one can do.

    I would give US Bank a zero if possible. This has been the worst customer service I have ever received. I opened my business account with the company because I have a personal account with them. After feeling out the application, they stated I was approved. They never contacted me stating they needed extra documents. And when I received numerous statements, all seemed fine. Then I received a letter saying they were closing my business account. Frustrated is an understatement. But I thought perhaps this was a sign.

    I called and was informed they closed my account and issued a check for the funds. I have yet to receive the money. So I called, and have been on hold, speaking with numerous agents, and was informed it was sent on October 28th. However, she didn't know where the money was? She called Cafe, but couldn't remain on hold. Now, I am on hold again. This place is a joke. They said they are open from 7 am - 9 pm CST. I am East Coast, and no one is answering the phone. I just want them to return my money so I can promptly end my relationship with the company.

    One of the worst cards I've ever had. Customer service is an absolute joke. Credit limits are low, even with a great credit score and perfect payment history. They will send you correspondence inviting you to apply for credit increases, run a hard pull, and then deny you. Rewards are limited and complicated. Do yourself a favor, just apply for a different card. There are much better options with much better benefits out there.

    Obviously was a victim of fraud. Called US Bank, which I thought was a legitimate bank. Three checks were written by another bank and cashed. Was not aware that they were fraud checks. I thought the bank like this would have a POS system that would verify the good checks. But unfortunately I received a ton of insufficient fees which was not in my control. Contacted them stating it was fraud. Nearly 2k and they would not do anything about it. All They said was contact the bank that issued the check and they told to contact our bank. Got the run around too long and I had to pay the fees or they would have submitted the account to the credit bureaus.

    This bank has terrible consumer communications. They overcharge unjustified late fees. I have electronic email notices set up for payment reminders. In three months time, I only received one notice for payment. I called to dispute the late fee/interest, and they did not return my call. I had to call four times to get an answer, which of course, was denied. I will never do business with US Bank and am cancelling the card immediately. Consumers beware!

    Been a long-term customer of US Bank (~20 years). If you have a Money Market account with them beware! About 8 years ago, unknown to me, they created an Elite Money Market account. Sometime after that they modified their Money Market account to pay uncompetitive rates of return. Uncompetitive with other Banks that is. Effectively the rate of return on their Money Market became almost equal to their Savings account when they made this change. For example, today their Money Market account is paying approximately .01% while Arvest Bank's is paying close to 2% on theirs.

    They never informed their long-term customers of this change. If you want a competitive rate you need to switch to their Elite MM account. That is just not right. I raised the issue with their Wealth Management Group and their management and was told they have the right to pay whatever interest rate they please. My answer to that is I have the right to find another bank. Carefully consider your choice of banks and avoid US Bank unless you like uncompetitive rates of return on your money and being taken advantage of by your financial institution.

    Hello, we put our house on the market and we accepted one of the offers, the offer included a Pre Approval which stated that the Mortgage Lender had looked into these people's finances and employment history, we had already put in an offer ourself on a house. 4 days before closing (all contingencies removed) we were told that the program that these people applied to required one year of employment and that we had to extend the close of escrow 45 days in order to comply, the Pre Approval that they submitted with the offer stated that this had been looked into prior to submitting the offer.

    Story short the seller of the house that we put an offer will not wait and we are loosing our deposit. We wanted to come after the Lender who is passing out fraudulent Pre Approval for the return of our deposit since the Pre Approval states that they researched everything before handing our the Pre approval. They didn't look into these people work history until 4 days before closing. We were out to make plenty of equity in this home to support us in our golden years with medical bills and such, we were also gong to be mortgage free which would of saved us plenty of money since we are both on a fixed income and we stand to lose the home that we were going to purchase because the seller wont (understandably) wait 45 more days to close and it probably going to accept the backup offer, and lose our $9,000 down payment that we can't afford to lose.

    Beware of US Bank! Thieves… Had a short-term loan, paid it off. Then they took another payment out of my account AFTER I paid the loan off. Two months later, I’m still trying to get the money back! Five calls, and five “the check is in the mail responses” over two months, and no refund. Now having to go through my own bank to dispute the payment. Think long and hard before doing business with this bank!

    There has been nothing good since day one. I've experienced a closed ATM and then the employee telling me my transaction had to be done inside the branch and she locks the door as I am approaching. I've had them cancel my debit card after I explicitly told them not to cancel it. And now I made a transfer from US Bank to another bank account, something I do very often, and it always takes place immediately, until today. I was told 2-3 business days, my funds are in cyberspace! And then the agent hung up on me. Total disgust with the entire experience time after time after time.

    I joined a credit counseling service (MMI) to pay my US bank card. After a few years MMI wrote me a Letter in September of 2021 stating as of June 24 2021 I had a zero balance but US bank was not confirming or responding. I was paying still 3 months later so I stopped. US bank didn't respond. Now October 2024 apparently sold "my debt" to Acorn Credit.

    I'm writing this review because I'm fairly new customer to US Bank and I've experienced the worst service ever. There was a situation where my account was fraudulently debited by Hertz Corporation the rental car service without my consent which was due to a car accident I had on May 6 where the other party's insurance company was a responsible period. I've spoke to a lady named Deandra who's in the claims department and she tells me that there's nothing that she can do because what happened was U.S. Bank reversed the provisional credit even though I have emailed and faxed and proof that I'm not responsible for this bill and that there's I never gave Hertz any authorization to debit my account.

    My account is now 500 overdrawn and she then sends me a message telling me that I need to write a letter to a PO Box number Or send in the letter V of facts And I'm just Blown Away The Rudity, the lack of customer service and the fact that you're telling me there's nothing you can not do is unacceptable. I'm a customer And there is something that can be done. You can reverse the credit that you gave me and make my account positive again. So now I'm going to get my lawyer.

    Closed my account, stating fraud, but can’t get an answer to what fraud. $1400+ left in the account and can’t get an answer where that money is to be refunded back to me. This bank has the worst customer ratings and service. Be very careful with them. I have already spoken to family friends who have close their accounts with them due to this. 100’s thousands they have lost from whom I have told. They will be the next ones to go bankrupt. Absolutely useless people and bank.

    I have been with US Bank for approximately six months. All I can say is "THANK YOU US-Bank." When no other bank was going to give me a second chance to banking (due to past poor choices and prioritization in life), US bank has opened their banking doors and welcomed me in. I was given a checking account for my direct deposit and other banking use without holding my past against me and I love them for that! Again I can only say Thank you to all the wonderful and very helpful staff during times I needed help the most but was turned down by many. I too, believe in second chances and US bank has set the perfect example and I shall never forget not only the professional but also the human side US bank has shown me and for that I will not only recommend them to others but will stay loyal to the Bank who treated me fair and with respect. Thank you US bank in Rohnert park and all of the surrounding of US branches.

    I initially had a positive experience with the application process, but it took a frustrating turn due to my wife being overseas. She had to travel 2.5 hours on public transportation while seven months pregnant to visit the U.S. Embassy, as there were no clear instructions provided on what was needed for the application. Unfortunately, she was charged $50 per page for the documents, only to have the application denied because she hadn't signed her mother's maiden name—something she doesn’t include on any legal identification, including her passport. To make matters worse, I was informed that I had to start the entire process over again. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied. I will not be using their services again or recommending them to others. Their lack of professionalism and clear documentation regarding the application requirements is unacceptable.

    My credit card payment is due by the 4th of each month. I am writing this review on 10/4/24. A late fee of $29 was charged to my account on 10/2/24. Then after trying to make my monthly payment through the mobile app on 10/4/24 I was blocked from being able to do so until 10/5/24. US Bank is charging me a late fee 2 days before the due date then forcing me to pay my balance the day after the due date. This is entrapment.

    Please Don't use the US Bank credit card. Dispute department does not do their job. Dispute I opened Aug 16th until now no response. They closed my dispute without investigation. I have been calling and giving statement but one is able to solve the problem.

    US Bank is awful. My acct was hacked and they caught it super fast. However....they failed to send a new card, lowered my daily limit so I could not pay rent or bills, connected a card I did NOT have to my account. I'm so angry, frustrated, and disappointed.     I have 6 credit card accounts with US Bank. I have not ever had an issue with US Bank but recently someone used one of my accounts at a gas station. I reported it to US Bank who quickly reversed the charge. Later on, they charged me back on the claim stating that I did receive the product and services. I own a Harley and a Smart car. I didn't put $50.01 in one, or even both vehicles. So, US Bank does not have any fraud protection at all, apparently, whereas my other banks do. I have zero balances on all my cards and have locked them. Just not feasible to use when I have other cards who cover me.

    US Bank are crooks. They lowered my mortgage payment so they would get an extra $100 interest per month. I have paid over 82 monthly mortgage payments and if they had left my mortgage payments where they were when my mortgage was taken over from another mortgage company. I would have paid my mortgage off by now!!! I am 70 years old and that have royally screwed me out of owning my home outright before I die. They couldn't live only getting the interest rate interest they bought. They manipulated my account so they would get more interest every month. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!!!

I open the account on April 1 2024 and it took them five months before they decided I was not eligible for the program. How does someone become in eligible to do business with a bank with their money?

    On the morning of June 28th, 2024, $5000 was removed from my account and sent to Intuit Credit Karma. This was discovered by me online. I immediately notified US Bank and went to the local bank when it opened. Fraud Dept. denied the claim. It was determined by the US Bank Fraud Department that I initiated the transaction. US Bank had us close out our checking and savings accounts. We ended up with multiple checks bouncing and multiple fees charged by numerous accounts.

    US Bank does not go out of their way to be helpful as they claim. Their banking app also is terrible and their customer service for credit card's even worse. My husband attempted to obtain a small loan and they lied initially about the interest rate but luckily he was paying attention before signing the last of the agreement. Compared to Wells Fargo, they fall very short. Wells Fargo has made the transfer very seamless and their app is much easier to keep track of expenses and savings. I would never recommend US Bank to anyone.

Instead of tellers being tellers and helping customers who walk in they wanna stop you at the door and help one person at a time with one teller doing their job.     This is the only bank I have ever used online that cannot give me my monthly statements because it has a glitch where the programming cannot interact with cookies. So if you try to see your current bank statement, it shows a message that the header is too long, unable to process. If you call the bank, you will find out that you have to remove all cookies from your computer just to be able to get your monthly bank statements. I closed my old US Bank savings account that paid no interest and opened one that was paying me interest. This month the monthly interest went from over $500 to about $30. US Bank cut their interest rate on their savings accounts to almost zero, and did not tell me.

    Now US Bank's phone deposit system is barely working, which with US Bank, means it is not going to be working anymore. It keeps saying to put the check on a dark background, no matter how dark the background is, the program doesn't see it, can no longer take photos of checks, it goes on and on, you have to reset it in your phone and keep trying over and over again to take the photos of the check. US bank has lots and lots of technical problems that other banks do not have.

    US Bank notified me last month that I have not used my credit card for over a year and if I do not use it now, they will cancel my card. Cancel it, I don't need it. American Express actually works with me, not against me, and gives me more credit every time I ask. I notice all of these bad reviews in the last month in here. So it looks like either corporate greed or the bank is going under. A lot of the problems from US Bank are recent.

    US Bank is terrible. My experience is being told "You have to go to the branch...." so I left work and went to the branch. When I got there not one person knew what the hell I was talking about or why the person told me that. THEN it happened again and I said "Oh no - you better 3 way call to the branch and make sure somewhere there knows what you mean!" She did, we did... I went to the branch and was told by the "Manager" "No, we can't do that here, who said that?" I gave the person's name - she talked to her and "We're sorry..."

    As if that's not enough - being a business owner I do normal tasks in business checking.... so I do these things, have you tried these: have you tried to schedule a Zelle payment through the desktop web app? You won't see it scheduled there but you can call the 800 # and have a person tell you to "look again" and then they will "file a ticket" so you can see it but you never will - the rep just says that so that when you call back another rep can say "if you don't know the ticket number....I can't find it for you...." (So that was well planned....)

    Have you tried to set up a business account for your bookkeeper? Sounds like a great idea right? Oh please attempt these average business tasks and join the army of us who have sent US Bank feedback. Here's a great one: attempt to identify a transaction on your checking account. There's a carrot indicating more information but joke's on you, they wanted you to click there to register your anticipation to disappointment levels. And if you want to laugh, try "categorizing" the transactions.

    Whoever US Bank paid to build this app completely ripped them off. It's hard to believe they had no internal supervisor who oversaw building a business app with regular use case scenarios. This is some out of the box thing they through into use - hoping no one would notice. The boss said "maybe if we all squeeze behind this app no one will notice we didn't do our job...." Seriously I looked hard for a place to write this review. So if you've gotten this far heed my advice - choose a credit union - at least there a human will tell you they made a mistake. That's acceptable. What US Bank is doing is a fat joke.

    I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at [US bank]. I had deposited three checks, all from companies I worked for, and was informed that they would be on hold for five business days. I called customer service multiple times to inquire about the issue, but each time I was told that no specific information was available, and that the department handling my case could not be contacted directly. To make matters worse, today marks the fifth business day, and when I called to follow up, I was informed that my funds wouldn't be available until September 4th, even though today is August 30th. When I requested to speak with someone who could provide a clear explanation, the customer service agent named Jada rudely informed me that the bank has the right to hold checks for as long as they deem necessary. She then abruptly ended the call.

    This experience has been incredibly stressful, especially since I currently have no other funds available, leaving me unable to buy even basic necessities. This is the worst banking experience I've ever had. I strongly advise against opening an account with [us bank] or depositing checks with them. Their customer service is unhelpful and their policies are unreasonable and stupid just like they are.

    We had accounts in our previous bank over 17 years. Upon moving out of state, we had to pick a different bank as our previous one was now not available. US Bank opened three accounts and we bought checks. Two weeks later, they sent us a letter saying they closed them!! No rhyme or reason to it. We are not trouble customers, we are retired and have very few transactions. They blamed it on corporate and had no explanation. About the checks we just bought? Oh well (too bad)! ** We were extremely disappointed and will never recommend them to anyone.

    Do not open a credit card with US Bank! There was an issue (Wells Fargo bill pay) with my July 2024 payment and I was charged a late fee of $40. I was on vacation when the mailed notice was sent and upon returning to my home on 8/19/2024 I called US Bank to advise I had sent the payment in full. The payment (complete balance including the $40 late fee) was posted on 8/21/2024 however a second late fee was applied on 8/20/2024 although I had previously spoke to the bank the day before.

    Today (8/23/2024), I spoke with three bank representatives to reverse the late fees, Trudy, Tenaya and manager, Sandra who all stated they could not reverse the late fees now totaling $81.00! Since the first day I received this credit card, I have paid my balance in full. US Bank does not care about customers and is more concerned in assessing late fees although I have never carried a balance with them! I have since canceled this credit card and will never do business with US Bank again!

    My wife has used U.S. Bank for 12 years, even though they continue to close all of its branches, and pull out the ATMs.(which is all you really need, since you can do most anything through the ATM or your phone). While the staff at every branch have always been wonderful, US bank as a whole continues to show it does not care about the people that trust them with there money. Finally with the closing of yet another branch, now it's well over an hour to the nearest US bank or ATM (Mind you I live in Ohio which is far from spread out). I have finally convinced my wife to leave this Joke of a bank. I feel sorry for all of the staff that keep losing their jobs due to this bank not caring about them or the customer.

    US Bank is a good example of corporate greed, not caring for its customers, and a myriad of other unfortunate areas of concern. Recently, I received a letter from them telling me that they WILL take out property insurance, which they admit will be expensive, because they do not have my property insurance on file. Fortunately, our house is paid for, but we have an equity line that is dormant and hasn't been used for quite a while. But the letter is almost threatening!! A much nicer letter would say, "Hey, we see that you have an equity line of credit with us and we do not have a copy of your property insurance. Would you please send us an updated policy. Thanks." I love our local branch but they are also stricken by corporate greed. The only reason we still use this less than optimum bank is that we do not have time to move our business account over to our great local hometown bank. Grrrr.

    My wife and I have been banking with US Bank for a long time and have never had an issue with deposits until yesterday. We were hit by some flooding in an area not even know for flooding and it damaged our finished basement walls and floor. Our insurance company came out and cut us a check for the damages and when we deposited it for the very first time ever our money is held and we arent even given the intial $225 deposit that we have always gotten. No history of anything with our account. Never overdrafted, never wrote a check that didn't clear, nothing. This money is needed asap to remove mold from our home asap and this crappy bank after multiple calls in still will not release our money.

    I know this seems like a petty reason to leave a bad review but they have no reason to be this way with us when we have been excellent customers the entire time. Their excuses are outdated and not even relevant to our situation. Avoid these people if you need YOUR MONEY available right away. We will be looking for a new bank and will no longer speak highly of this institution.

    I was recently a victim of fraud. My entire account was cleaned out for $16,000. It was a result of a series of bank errors that was 100% bank mistakes. After 2 months I still don’t have my funds restored. They wanted to wait till they got their money before I got mine. This bank is worth billions but couldn’t come up with $16,000 for an obvious fraud. You are safer burying your money in the back yard than depositing it with these folks. It would be impossible to even imagine a worse bank. It’s an absolute miracle they are still in business.

    Sent me a card, I set it all up and when I went to use it was declined. US Bank told me I had to wait 60 days for them to learn my spending habits. Ended up using another card to complete transaction at the advise of US Bank and do balance transfer after. Called in a couple days later, was advised US bank forgot to mark a box which is why payment didn’t go through (I spoke to multiple reps that day, at least 3 people missed this) and that all the info they told me was wrong. Their solution to fix the problem was $50 in rewards, which was declined. Use anybody else.

    At the beginning of July, I deposited a check for $9,750 into a new account I opened with US Bank. My old name was K***e, and my new name is K***n. I gave court documents to verify my name upon opening the account and depositing the check, and everything seemed fine at first. A few days later, I deposited another check for $20,000 at a different location from my home bank at 710 Olympic Blvd. A ** named ** put a hold on my account even though she didn't deposit my check or even assist me, I was then told my account is under a fraud alert and was escorted out of that branch.

    24 hour banking informed my of the hold and when I tried to find Jeanette in person I found out she was no longer there because she was just filling in at that location and couldn’t be located. No one at the Vermont and Adams or Vermont and 3rd locations could help me, so I was told to go back to my home branch at 710 Olympic Blvd. I was told to wait 5 days, 7 days, 10 days, and then 14 days for the review process. It has now been weeks, and my account is still on a level 2 hold. 24 hour banking has mentioned multiple times that. The only person who could lift the hold was Mr. **, the manager at my home bank who opened my account and deposited my first check in the first place; I later found out he was on vacation during the entire "review process". I've literally been patiently waiting for nothing because.

    When Mr. ** finally came back last Wednesday (7/24/24), he said he would unblock the account or give me a cashier’s check for the remaining funds. However, in less than 24 hours, Mr. ** informed me that he will be shutting down my account and sending the money back to the State of California. These are US Bank checks. As a disabled woman, I want to know, where does the need to lock me out of my account, with zero ability to purchase medicine or food even comes from. When I asked Mr. ** on Thursday last week (7/25/24) how long it would take for the government to get its money back so that my attorney could have the funds reissued to me, he said it generally takes 6 months but could not say when the process would even begin.

    The 24-hour banking line has been much better, they even sent police to my residence believing I was a threat to myself and others. Nightmarish! In fact, 24 banking said they are unable to escalate the matter to the resolution department because 24 banking says my account shut down information is not in their system yet. I asked 24 hour banking, what was showing in their system and I've been told by multiple departments from fraud to authentication that, the account is fully active they have no other information; Yet Mr ** insists that he is unable to give any other information either.

    He apologized profusely for all that has happened since he opened the account and left for vacation leaving me with no one who could assist me during the review process". He also apologized for opening my account and depositing my US Bank check in the first place; But reminded me Thursday that, he CANNOT HELP ME. He just stopped answering my questions. If 24 hour banking cannot help and my home branch cannot help, then what?

    I must buy food and medicine and I have waited, PATIENTLY! This is not just an inconvenience, this is getting extremely tenuous for me. If a disabled person is completely locked out of their account, that puts them in danger. The fact that US Bank will send the police to my house but will not allow me access to my account after depositing two US Bank checks from the state of California is insane. Where does the need to end my account, put it on a level two hold, while sending all of the funds back to the state come from? Where is the fraud in the first place.

    I am a disabled person of color, and this situation has left me in peril, unable to buy food and meet my basic needs. This is definitely causing me pain and suffering. It's a terrible way to treat a disabled person. I must have answers and immediate action to resolve this issue. I have been told by 24 hour banking that a possible way to resolve this is by allowing access to the first check that was deposited during this process. 24 hour banking is uncertain if the account shut down due to the information on their end in the first place. Being locked out of my account unable to buy medicine might be the death of me. There is a part two because today my home branch called the police on me for inquiring about the account closure. Yes I stood there for longer than three hours requesting info but not causing a commotion.

    DO NOT OPEN ANY KIND OF ACCOUT WITH THIS BANK, YOU’LL REGRET IT! 7-29-24 - OK, today it was 3.25 hours. You know when they say “writing a journal about your griefs, will help you relieve the trauma”…. Well, here I go, you are going to see my journal. I’ll start by saying that my writings will be reflecting similar experiences that I have had, for 15 years with US Bank (now referred to as them). Today it was 3.25 hours of nothing but frustration, and a waste of my time. For four weeks I’ve tried to submit application for financial assistance form. Because my interest rate on my equity loan doubled six months ago and due to them not letting me “fix” my rate (for years and years I tried).

    When I called the Loss Mitigation Dept. Yes, the transferring all around, with no accountability from the employees doing this, so very frustrating.

    I repeat DO NOT!! Get this card. Even tho I have State Farm I wish I had not gotten this card. Their customer service is rated a 1 to me. I was told I had No auto pymt set up as of May. So in July I made my 80 pymt on the 13th, not knowing they took out a auto pymt the day before. When I called to get refunded I was told it would be better if I did the footwork. Oh ok. So I did. My bank is wonderful and fast. But the draw back US Bank charged me 30 to refund my 80. I have asked too many times to please remove the 30.00. Each time the story is different. I will have to contact someone higher up regarding this issue. As they still think it's fine to not credit this back. So please beware. They will screw you and not claim it was their error!

    I am closing my business acct. My online banking has been disabled for the 5th time in less than 90 days with no explanation or solution. When disabled I have to wait 48 hrs to obtain access to online banking and another 24 hrs (72hr total) to use Zelle. When it goes under “review” nothing improves nor is any fragment of a solution offered. It is apparent that US Bank lacks basic security fundamentals and technology. Their customer service team is incompetent and reads from a script vs engaging in real time conversation with its paying customers. DO NOT BANK HERE!

    I spent 20 minutes trying to deposit a check only to find out that it was not possible on the web page I was on. You can transfer funds, pay bills, apparently do everything but deposit a check.... How utterly confusing. ... But apparently you can only deposit checks from the mobile app. Why don't they post that somewhere on the page, so you don't spend all that wasted time trying to figure out where the link is. What idiots put that together.

    Recently I had seen US Bank had a pretty decent bonus for opening a checking account. I already had two checking accounts with 2 other companies but I figured I could use a third exclusively for online purchases. Anyways I was not approved for the checking account. I didn’t even know that it was possible to be declined for opening a checking account. After reading some of the reviews it seems I may have dodged a bullet as it seems almost every review is bad. So in a way thanks US bank but I am still giving you only one star which is one more than you deserve.

    I have had a US Bank account for all of my adult life and if I remember correctly, my grandmother opened an account for me and my brother when we were under 10 to teach us how to save. I have been a faithful customer of US Bank for all of these years even though the number of banks out there to choose from are countless. My husband took a check for some flooring he was selling and did a mobile deposit. Almost immediately they froze his accounts. Not just the checking but all three of the accounts with his name on them. He had no access to any of his money for over 10 days.

    After a week he got a call and was told that the manager had closed all of his accounts because it was a fraudulent check and had decided to “part ways” with him. After over 20 years of loyalty to that bank they just part ways because someone gave him a bad check???? What???? So then instead of giving him his money, they sent it out via cashier's check which took another almost week to get. Meanwhile all of our autopay bills were bouncing, our mortgage did not go through, it was a mess. Most of the places that got denied charged him a fee and it has been a colossal mess. Needless to say, I closed out my accounts as well and closed out my Safety deposit box and changed banks. You can be loyal to them for decades and it means nothing to them. They absolutely have no loyalty to their customers anymore. I am so disappointed. I used to love my bank but they failed my family.

    Horrible bank and customer service including managers and supervisors. There was a $350 credit on my account which they never paid it to me. I spent hours on the phone with the manager but they had made the credit to disappear on my account. I've never seen this before. My credit score is 850 and I always pay the statement balance in full. So if you don't want your money to be stolen from you, stay away.

    I relied on US Bank for decades, and loved their customer service and the app. However, my faith in the security of the money I have there has been shaken greatly recently. I have a regularly scheduled transfer between checking and savings accounts. This past Monday the transfer went through just fine, but then US Bank deducted the same amount again from my checking account and sent it to... who knows where? I've called their customer service line every day since and they tell me they know about the issue, and are attempting to fix it, but they have no estimated timeline for the fix. Plus they still have not replaced the money they took from my account. This has got to be illegal?!

    Since the first minute I opened my account nothing was done right! From wrong name/address in the checkbook to wrong name in the credit card (so won't connect to my other accounts/cards), I cannot even make a payment or check my balance!     I've been a US Bank customer for 39 years. On May 23, 2024 I converted $1500 to euros via the US Bank website. The process was easy and I received my euros in just a couple days. However, the conversion rate used was 1.1641 dollars per euro, much more than the published conversion rate that day of 1.08 dollars per euro. This conversion cost me over $100! It is admirable that US Bank provides this service, but at a minimum they should indicate the conversion rate used on their web site. In the future I will be securing foreign currency via overseas ATMs.

From now on, I, like you, choose only to deal with a flesh-and-blood person. My CC loan payments, addressed personally and confidentially to an employee at your bank whom you must nominate. Be aware that it is an offense under the Postal Act for any other person to open such an envelope.

    Please find attached an Application Contact Status which I require your chosen employee to complete. I am sorry it runs to eight pages, but in order that I know as much about him or her as your bank knows about me, there is no alternative. Please note that all copies of his or her medical history must be countersigned by a Solicitor, and the mandatory details of his/her financial situation (income, debts, assets and liabilities) must be accompanied by documented proof. In due course, I will issue your employee with PIN number which he/she must quote in dealings with me.     HORRIBLE Bank! They have burned us over and over and over. The latest one is that we went in to move our money when they were closing the branch in our city. In order to keep us there they promised us a 4.5% interest rate so we set up 3 new accounts with over $75,000 to get the good interest rate. It immediately started dropping from 4.5 a little at a time, but today when I got half the interest I expected I realized they had dropped yet again-- from 4.2 down to 1.98. I called and was told that for accounts opened when I opened my account they could do an exception and get it back up to 4.25, but I have to go in to my local bank (which, of course, I don't have anymore!).

    When I contacted the bank nearest me he came back with the answer that if we put $10,000 MORE into each of our money market accounts then they will honor the exception. At this point we already have $115,000 in there-- and they won't honor it unless we put MORE!?! 'L NO!! I just withdrew all but $10 in each account and put it with my other money making 4.4% interest. As soon as the weekend is over I will be looking for a new bank. US Bank has been horrid for YEARS! I can't believe I've stayed with them this long~

    Terrible customer service. The worst customer service I have ever had. Literally did not help me with anything. I’m trying to activate my card my job sent me to get paid and I’m having trouble activating the card. I called and she said I have to register it through my job, but everyone else just had to call and activate the card. It should be that simple. I’m having trouble. The check was cleared and the money was received by U. S. Bank in the morning hours the following business day before noon.     I was sent an invite via mail. Thought it would be a good option for a savings account since there isn’t any US banks within a 30-mile proximity. Sat on hold for a very long time and kept being told to call different number, just to fund my account. My application mysteriously wasn’t found. I spoke with 3 customer service reps, each conversation was more smug than the previous one. Chase & BofA may outsource to customer service agents that have language barriers but at least they’re not prejudice. I’m keeping my money with the banks that accept all ethnicities.

    I would like to write a nice comment here. But unfortunately I couldn't reach anyone to help me with my problems. When I started working at Northwestern University, I applied for a salary account at Northwestern Memorial Hospital US Bank Branch. I have had many problems since the very beginning. The online account could not be opened, the application could not be installed, and my card reached my hand in two weeks.

    When I asked the bank employees for help, the male employee didn't even look at my face. The other employee helped me activate my debit card, but she said I needed to face my other problems on my own. I told her that it wasn't my problem, that I hadn't been able to open an account for weeks due to the bank's problems. My card has been in my hand for four days. I currently have no online account, I can't log in from the application, my salary is not displayed on my card, and I cannot shop. I will cancel my account as soon as possible.

    Currently I'm dealing with multiple calls of misinformation. Also customer service operators hanging up on customers constantly. They also comment on things they have no idea of, because they don't want to help you. I constantly noticed every call representative had their own way of verifying. As well as enforcing certain rules that didn't exist. I had different employees say they can't get me a supervisor. While others did, all because US lost my deposit. As well as they made a account that I didn't sign off on. One thing I know is Illegal to do, as I kept repeating it they all hung up on me.

    I took me several calls to be taken seriously. I requested all of the managers and employees to take down my account. It wasn't taken off until the last call, which I've now been block by US Bank completely. While they supposedly investigate, it a lie. Us Bank should be prosecuted if they handle their bank accounts the same way wells fargo do. For the reason you can't give me a account. It should be signed off on.

    They use and abuse their customers without consideration or respect for them. Their marketing department will eventually run off all their clients. While I complained about how abusive and predatory their marketing has become, nothing seemed to change for the 2 years I was a customer. The final straw was after I received an email 2 weeks ago that they've shared my name, address, email, phone number and credit history with a 3rd party and asking me to go there to activate the new PAZE Wallet account that they created for me without my knowledge or consent for more convenient online shopping.

    I don't need these ** to 2nd guess my financial needs and share my data willy-nilly with whomever these narcissistic jerks think I need to do business, or will make them money off of me. I tried to delete the account without activating it, and it appears this is impossible. You must activate the account in order to Opt-Out of it. So, either way, my data is on their server now for at least 7 years to be hacked and stolen.

    These people don't deserve customers because they don't respect them or know how to treat them. They just see you as a tool, a commodity, to use and benefit from without any consideration for you. I'm so done with these idiots, I'll never be a US Bank customer again, and the people who have heard what they did to me can't believe it. They will also never be US Bank customers. Keep it up! Maybe you can alienate the whole world?

    They open business bank accts in Florida, promote this, without warning biz owners that all their ‘locations’ demonstrated by red dots all over the state- are all 7-11 ATM’s- none of which can take cash deposits- they severely limit Zelle transactions, long-hold check deposits, don’t offer wiring services for new accounts- I spent a lot of money setting acct up, ordering checks, etc only to find out there is absolutely no way to make deposits into acct if located in Florida, and manipulate processing transactions/payment credits on their credit cards, so all bal & remaining credit info provided in app is not correct. Where are the regulators??? What good is biz bank that you can’t get money into? Advised me to give thousands of dollars in cash to a friend and ask them to Zelle it to my acct!

They gave me 2 weeks to deal with the situation.     Ongoing issues with customer service across multiple departments. Apathetic customer service. Appear trained in 'broken record' responses rather than solving problems. Information is in silos, departments don't or cannot talk to each other so navigating their systems across departments is time consuming and frustrating. A few examples...misrepresentation of credit card benefits; long hold times, misdirected transfers and accidental misconnections, no ability or willingness to do warm transfers, failure to listen causing incorrect actions before I had a chance to explain what I wanted; funds incorrectly taken out of cc rewards, told issue was fixed (it wasn't); "30 days to fix", then claimed they could not correct it because they can only take money out of one account even though my accounts are linked; no way to "expedite" even though US bank made multiple errors; out of date information being reported to credit agencies. I would find another bank if there were not a hit on my credit rating (excellent) before I am setting up to do a refinance.

    I have been with this bank for many years. I have noticed a huge difference since the merger with union bank. They placed a 10 day hold on my paycheck and it’s impossible to get through to the department that placed the hold. To put a hold on my paycheck without notifying me is almost criminal and not giving me an answer is flat out disturbing. The person on the phone said they can email the department that placed the hold but they never hear back from that department. Not very encouraging especially the fact that I drop so much money into these accounts. We’re closing out accounts with US bank and will be going elsewhere.

    I was a customer at US Bank for 50 years Minus 8 years in between. I went with them when I was 18, because my parents were with them as long as I could remember. I called to see if I could get my interest rate lowered on a credit card and got turned down. I think that's what she said to me, she was foreign. My credit is average, and I have never missed a payment. I understand I owe more than 30% of my available credit. Anyway, I'm just an account number. I called today to close my checking account and savings account. Expecting concern on why I was closing my accounts, I set time aside with no background noise. It was like they said ok, thank you, good-bye. May seem kind of silly to some, but I was hurt. It's true, I'm just a account number. I went with a Credit Union. When I talked to them, they are very personal. They even offered advice with my financial goals. Good bye US bank, sorry I wasn't good enough.

    Where do I start? I should have run when the bank rep had the personality of a mop. She was not informative nor helpful whatsoever. You do not get a debit card at the bank, it's mailed to you. I am a business owner and this caused issues having to go into the bank to withdraw customer money. The bank rep messed up my account and I could not use online banking. Customer service could not help and they had to mail out a second debit card. I never got a debit card mailed to me. It took a whole month to finally get my hands on a debit card. I was excited to finally get my debit card and it did not work. I was advised by customer service to go to the bank and the reps could fix it. When I got there a young security guard advised me I could not go in. I had to go through the drive-up. The rep reset my pin and advised me to finish up the process by going to the ATM.

    I went to the ATM and the young guard advised me the ATM was broken. At this point, I just started laughing, because it was a joke. During this long stressful month of having to go into the bank because I had no debit card or access to online banking I was lucky to get out of there in less than 30 minutes. I am still having issues and customer service could care less about the business owner. I do not trust this bank with my customer's money, because as a small business owner, I value my customers unlike like US Bank. I will be closing my account and speaking loud about my experience with this bank.

    I was a Union Bank customer originally transferred to US Bank and have had nothing but a horrible experience. Go to any other bank, go to Chase, go to wherever but never use this bank for anything. I was never a US Bank customer at any time only because they bought Union Bank. There is no positives to doing business with this bank. They raise your interest rates and payments at will and blame it on something that’s absolutely untrue. The letter they send you is written by their attorneys, if I could give zero stars, that’s what US Bank is zero stars!

    3/6/2024 I just spoke to Brittany from US Bank Corporate Escalation team and she confirmed Regulation E was broken due to their system error. She offered me small compensation and I countered. This is so unacceptable for big banks to take advantage of consumers. The Federal Government put these regulations in place to protect consumers?

    My name is Christopher **, a US Marine disable combat veteran. I am being taken advantage by US Bancorp and several banking federal regulations have been broken. My son Sebastian went to the local gym and lost his wallet. When Sebastian realized, he also saw 2 unauthorized transactions from Circle K. Sebastian and my wife called US Bank on Monday, February 5th. The bank representative refused to open a claim for the unauthorized pending transactions. Regardless if the transactions are pending, the available balance is reflecting the unauthorized charges therefore Reg E kicks in to protect the consumer. Once the consumer is effected Reg E kicks in. This is why the big banks Chase and Bank of America changed their process to protect their clients.

    US Bank has failed to protect their client. After I realized my son was denied to open a claim which is all on a recorded line, please review the call. I called and opened a claim on February 9th. Per Reg E Provisional/Temp credit or claim resolution should be completed by day 10. It's March 4th and I just received my provisional credit this afternoon. Provisional credit was given and verified on day 15 which is a clear Reg E error. US Bank made another HUGE ERROR. They unjustly and falsely DENIED my claim without a adequate investigation.

    Per Reg E a adequate investigation is required to review the unauthorized charges I am reporting. I wrote US Bank February 26th to escalate and inquire about my claim. I did get a confirmation of my email. I was expecting a 24hr to 48 hr response. I have received no response or resolution. Then I see the letter of US Bank accidentally denying my claim. I called and the representative agreed and fixed the issue. The representative agreed that Reg E was broken several times in this claim process which is all on a recorded line.

    My concerns are the facts here. US Bancorp failed to initiate a claim when a client called in to report fraud. I have not been paid provisional/temp credit in the day 10 time frame. US Bancorp fails to perform a adequate investigation to see the Fraud. They made a bank error and accidentally denied my claim. Us Bank was given several times to correct but still has yet to fix, breaking all federal time frames. Now my son is finding hardship due to not being able to make his payments which now UDAPP is affected and kicks in.

    These banks take advantage of their clients and fail to protect them from these federal regulations. Once you review my case you will clearly see Regulation E was broken here on several occasions. I was given false information on almost every call which you will hear. No one in the call center understands Reg E which is a huge concern. Clients needs to be protected.

    My concerns are the facts here.

    1. US Bancorp failed to initiate a claim when a client called in to report fraud.

    2. I have not been paid provisional/temp credit in the day 10 time frame. I was given provisional/temp on day 15 and US Bank confirmed Regulation E break.

    3. US Bancorp fails to perform a adequate investigation to see the Fraud. They made a bank error and accidentally denied my claim.

    4. Us Bank was given several times to correct but just called me today and confirmed Regulation E break on their part.

    5. Now my son is finding hardship due to not being able to make his payments which now UDAPP is affected and kicks in.

    Once you review my case you will clearly see Regulation E was broken here on several occasion. Please look into this complaint? Please Help! Thank you.

    I have never been so mistreated. I have been customer since 1996. I dealt with the branch manager. I was told I had unusual activity. They no longer want me. They closed my acct. They have left me no money to pay bills, buy food. Wanted to know what I did in Feb 2024. Don’t I find it unusual. I was treated like I was a drug dealer. They question my deposits, my withdrawals, my Zelle payment. I might get my $$ at the end of March. They are investigating my acct. They put me thru the ringer the branch manager. I was told I signed the paper work back in 1996 which they can not give me a copy. They can do this to anyone when they want. Please be careful with your acct. This is my cash In my bank. They are holding my $$ which I have no idea when I will get. Which now I have no idea when I will receive my cash. The branch manager was so rude asking me what did you do in Feb don’t you find it odd behavior. I finally said I will no longer answer your questions.

    The bank offered an alternative to the line of credit we had requested. The alternative is a credit card with the possibility of transferring balances to it at 0% interest for 18 months. This will help us greatly. We will apply for a line of credit again next year and hope that the process will be better streamlined. In the meantime, we are satisfied with this outcome.

    Do not apply for a business loan or line of credit with the USBank. They are behind the times, will ask you repeatedly for the same information, make at least 12 separate requests for documents, and ask you to provide the same explanations several times. Only to turn you down. We were turned down last year. When our sales went up over 30% with a low but positive Net Income, we tried again. We offered personal collateral worth over two million dollars. They put us through the same, humiliating procedures. I suspect they knew all along they were going to turn us down. If you decide to try anyway, ask them to request everything they need in one move, not twelve. That alone will make it better even if the result is the same. If you need it, you won't get it. If you can prove that you don't really need it, you're the ideal candidate.

    -1 US Bank is the worst. Stay Away. They held a cashier's check for 8 days, which made my account account go negative, charged overdraft fees, and then said "Sorry there is nothing we can do, have a nice day." There is no reason to hold up a certified cashier's check, NONE...

    I did not pick this company. My previous company sold their service to US Bank. Since then my card has been hacked 3 times. I have filed multiple disputes and although provisional credits were issued, they have been reversed multiple times. I have spoken to them on the phone multiple times. It is clear that they have no idea what they are doing or how to keep their customers secure.

    Simply because of an one-time check returned for insufficient funds, without any withdraw, caused by another bank's mistake, U.S. Bank knowingly violated the law Regulation CC and the Deposit Account Agreement to withhold all my money for 43 days, no matter how I begged it to stop or demanded the money; and sat back to watch me suffering extreme financial hardship because of its withholding money, emotional distress caused by the financial hardship, and physical sickness resulted from the emotional distress until the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau stepped in to stop its behavior.

    I filed a lawsuit to seek damages. In order to cover up the bank's misconduct, U.S. Bank's Vice President Ms. Jannette ** knowingly made false statements under oath. On December. 26, 2019, Ms. ** filed an affidavit and swore under oath to make up a story that “someone had tried to fraudulently transfer funds into Plaintiff’s checking account and U.S. Bank put a hold on the account to investigate that potential fraud”; and on March 25, 2022, during the trial, Ms. ** made up a different story that the bank put a hold on the account to investigate a “Check Kiting”. The Illinois trial court found the perjury by U.S. Bank's Vice President Ms. Jannette **, ruled U.S. Bank violated the law Regulation CC, and awarded the maximum civil penalty of $1000. U.S. Bank also violated the Illinois Personal Information Act to disseminate my sealed medical records to the public.

    I only have a mortgage through this bank because it was sold by the bank that I used for my original loan. I am always getting the run around from them! I have made great chunks of additional principal payments to my account and have reduced the payment by years within the 1st year of the loan. I asked about a recast and was told that it was up to the VA. I called the VA loan department and was told that the bank, which services the loan can do the recast. Someone is giving me bad information. I am going to try and refinance this loan as soon as rates go down. US Bank gets a Thumbs Down from me!

    This bank has burnt the final bridge with me. I have tried to open a checking account for a nonprofit that has been in operation for over 40 years. My first visit to the bank resulted in the system going down after an hour, and I had to return the next day. The second trip was an hour and a half, only to be told that the account would take 3-5 business days to complete an approval process, and then I could return to complete the process. I have never worked so hard to open an account and deposit a check.

    I have had numerous negative experiences personally with this bank, but US Bank is listed as a top choice for nonprofits, so the board voted to use them. This bank is not a preferred bank for nonprofits. I even filed a corporate complaint, and three days later, I have not heard back from anyone. This company plays games with their customers. After a new vote by the board, I will be moving to a new bank and moving my personal accounts as well. Stay away from this bank.

    I thought US Bank was great. They were friendly and helpful, made everything seem grand, every day since I have had nothing but problems and now my money is locked up till someone decides they want to fix it.     USBank offered attractive balance transfer options, so I signed up for two of their business credit cards with accounts for my employees. I was unable to activate the cards online or manage them online, request a balance transfer, or anything including making regular/autopay for several months. The error was "Our system isn't cooperating. Try again later". Customer service escalated it to engineering to figure out why this was the case.

    Since then the balance transfer offers expired. After months of back and forth it was determined because one of the employees didn't activate their card. Customer service was supposed to set up autopay for me, but didn't. I never received the initial balance transfer offers. A single payment was late by a few days because of the autopay failure and they dropped all of my account limits to the balances, effectively rendering all the effort to change my employees cards over to USBank worthless. Lots of man hours, money, and time, lost. All due to deceptive advertising, bad customer service, and badly programmed technology. Can you guess if I will be ever using USBank in the future?

    We paid our loan off in full for our Rv. It’s been 5 weeks and we still don’t have the title. Not only that, no one at US Bank can tell me whether it was sent via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Who does business that way???? I’m guessing if I owed them an important document for 5 weeks they wouldn’t be happy! We will never use US Bank again.

    US Bank was great in customer service from opening acct in 2012 until 2022 then something changed. Once polite and professional, they are now rude and short. The customer service fraud dept are especially rude on phone. I'm changing banks.

    I had an issue with my checking account when I decided to call the bank with my issues. I called the 800 number where I was put on hold for 15 mins. Then an associate answered and was very rude. I asked to speak to a manager. She put me on hold for another 15 mins and then hung up. I called again and waited another 20 mins to speak to someone again only to speak to another representative who was also rude and wouldn't listen to the problem I was having with my debit card. Now I will be switching banks.

    I didn’t have a good experience. First time with any bank or credit card. A process of getting a credit card. It’s usually a simple online form with all other cards. The communication is all by phone afterwards. That excludes people like me. I applied electronically and all cards I’ve dealt with allow some kind of alternative communication. So basically the issue started with application but didn’t get the information until afterwards.

    They tried to link me to another email and phone number (these are not legitimate ways to identify me). I gave them my info and I haven’t had any change in address. Then they put that information on the app where I need to track and do everything related to the card. It stated there would be chat on the app. Nothing is what they advertised including communication and the rewards. No rewards credit card. The one purchase I made seems to be pending a week and no rewards. Nothing is as advertised. It’s all completely different once I got the card (wish I wouldn’t have activated it). Be careful if you apply. I don't even think I can cancel it because I have to call for everything. Normally all my other banks and cards allow me to have an alternative communication so I can be included. This has been an added stress I don’t need.

    I've had a US Bank credit card for over 15 years. I recently requested an increase in my credit limit online, just to boost my credit score. I read everything related to it, but didn't see that this would trigger a hard pull on my credit report. So I got a stupid $2k credit line increase and my score decreased 3 points because of the hard pull! Who does this?!?! Discover and Wells Fargo didn't! Crappy card, crappy rate, and really crappy service. When I called to complain about this they actually said "Whatever." Take your business to a credit union where they will actually value you as a customer and save yourself this aggravation. They are never getting another dollar out of me.

    I had a US Bank Harley Davidson credit card opened in 2019 and informed them I was having financial difficulties during the covid epidemic thus needing their help. They not only did not help me but closed my account and demanded the total balance be due. Through help from a family member I was able to settle the debt but this will be ruining my credit for quite some time. In addition to this my Harley Davidson credit points were deleted as well.

    We had a sizeable cash rewards accumulated on a credit card, however the US Bank refused to transfer funds to the account of our choice. They stated it must we either with them, or we could receive a gift card. This practice is very unusual among financial institutions we dealt with for many years. Unwillingness to help a long-term customers and stubborn, below the industry standards practices will negatively affect this bank.

    Opening an account with US Bank was the worst decision I've ever made with banking. I had the account for a week. I was already weary of opening an account because of all the bad reviews I've read, and was told from personal experience, so I only put $100 into the new account. I get my debit card mailed to me via UPS a couple days later, set up the debit card with online banking, and then changed over my direct deposit. The very next day after doing all that, I can no longer access my funds and I had to send address verification, the same address they shipped my debit card to, to their Deposit Operations email. Which takes 2 business days to even be reviewed. I couldn't transfer the funds out nor could I use the debit card.

    Customer service was absolutely no help. I've never opened, and subsequently closed an account so fast. I changed my direct deposit back to my original account, and I'm willing to lose the petty cash I put in the account to never use their banking services again and be able to post an honest review. I got a red flag from this bank the first week I used it. If you're looking for a checking and savings account, don't open a US Bank account, any other bank will service your needs better, and you won't have to deal with what I've had to deal with with my own money. Being declined on a petty purchase, and then being told I have to submit documentation, and I couldn't access my funds is alarming. I'm glad this happened before I received pay from work and was able to take my services back to a reliable source. Do better, and choose better banking besides this.

    I looked around for a bank for my small business. After reviewing different options, I decided to open a US Bank Silver Business account online. One of the primary reasons was they had a promotion offering $500 for new accounts with minimal requirements. I felt this was a good choice because I would not receive interest. Also, there were no service charges. The terms were restrictive but fit my small business well.

    Things started out bad. I applied online and after several calls and emails, I received a message stating that I would not be able to open an account because I do not live in a state with a branch office. That was crazy - they knew what state I lived in from the beginning. I personally didn’t care about a local branch office because I planned to manage everything online. I gave up. A week or 2 later I received a call from US Bank asking about my inquiry and if I was interested in opening the account. I was very confused and explained the history to the caller. Long story short, the bank processed my application and opened the account.

    After opening the account, I had issues trying to get my name corrected. Months later, they sent a form for me to return but I am not going to bother since I’m in the process of closing the account.

    After all the confusion and problems trying to get started, the overall the banking service experience was ok except for 1 major deal breaker - my promotional credit never arrived. I called the bank several times over the next couple months trying to get the bank to follow through on their promotional credit but it never came through. The bank said that I met all the requirements but the promotion had expired before I opened the account. This is total **! I have screenshots where the promotion was still available even after all the bank delays I experienced trying to open the account. I have no tolerance for dishonesty- especially in business. Now, four months after opening the account, I am withdrawing my money and closing it. I can’t stay with a bank that is so difficult to deal with and especially one that will not honor their promises. I am done with US Bank.

    I opened a credit card in September and requested a balance transfer to take advantage of an offer. The card finally came in the mail in October and the balance was never transferred. Here we are in November, I finally call them. A customer service rep asked me about 18-20 questions to verify my identity (which was answered correctly yet she kept going with more and more of them). She also asked for a code to be sent to my phone. Finally 25 minutes later she tells me my balance transfer offer didn't go through because they "left a voice mail" and I never called back. I never received that voicemail. In order to reprocess my balance transfer, I was to wait for a new voicemail! Better yet, I better stay glued to my phone at all times. A manager was not available to speak with. I have a useless credit card and wasted a lot of time.

    Avoid US Bank. I opened a CD with them and they made an error causing Federal Withholding to be removed from the interest earned. I received paperwork to stop this from happening and to reverse the funds withheld seven months ago. Nothing happened. When I call customer service they explain they cannot get into the branch bank systems and I have to deal with the employees at the branch. Unfortunately, after 4 visits to the branch, they continue have accomplished nothing and blame their corporate offices and the IRS.

    I have dealt with Romel and Christianna and they have been of no help, to the point of telling me the branch manager, Sylvia, has been dealing with this issue and has been in touch with me. I have never spoken with Sylvia. I have made two calls to the district manager, Ryan **, and have not had the courtesy of a return call. This has been going on for well over 7 months and these employees admit they made an error but either won't correct it or have no idea how to correct it. There are a lot of banks you can do business with, and be very careful before you choose US Bank.

    A man of late 50's working out of town and doing the best he can to make a living. Having had perfect credit for over thirty years. Politics shuts down a big portion of pipeline activities and at the same time I realize that after fighting major physical problems, that I just couldn't do it anymore. I went to US Bank and told them the problem. They said there was nothing they could do. I tried different angles to work through my debt with them, but to no avail. I signed for my disability and I CALLED THEM, to settle my debts. I settled 2 out of 3 accounts. But they never would settle the 3rd account. I never understood why. They finally sent me a 1099 for the amount without contacting me first. They now make it a point to keep that balance against my credit to hurt me and family seemingly just to make things hard for a man that had no control over outcome of circumstances.

    I believe in paying my bills. You have to be responsible to have 30 years of A 1 credit and never even pay not even 1 late charge on any account that I've ever had. Losing or costing money is never something anyone with integrity and honor wants. Sometimes it's out of our control, it happens to the best of people. But why would you want to intentionally put great hardship on a family that had no control over outcome of circumstances that someone is dealt. I just wish people and corporations would treat people like they would want to be treated. Again, it's not like I overloaded myself. Life just took a turn that made me use all of my savings, (32,000) dollars worth pay bills and keep head above water. The majority of 32,000 dollars was paid to US Bank hoping to get back to work before it all ran out. It didn't happen. I've talked with US Bank but to no avail. They will not remove from credit reporting. But why?

    I was with Union Bank until the merger. US Bank was helpful in the transition. Now attempting to transfer fund that we not making money to an account that would help make money. They are blocking time and time again. They put up so much blockage that they are sending my account to the fraud department. Damn it. It’s my money not theirs. I’ve had surgery so I can’t drive and no one online gives a damn. When I get better I’m pulling all the money out and moving away from us bank. (Acting like parents withholding my money!)

    I liked US Bank at first. They bought Union Bank which I had been with for over 20 years with a checking and savings. I liked that the technology and app are better as well as customer service on the phone has been much better. Going into the bank sucks as not only are locations sparse (in LA) the staff there did not seem concerned with helping prior Union Bank customers to get their issues worked out. I was not told that I would not have easy access to my past years of Union Bank statements and now I am scrambling to get documents that I need. I was told by online support after hours of time that I can only get "some" of my statements today and the rest I will have to wait for paper mailers. At least she was helpful and then we got disconnected on the phone before they were sent but this is ridiculous!

    I need last years for taxes and I can't get them unless I drive to the bank (taking off of work) and ask the not so helpful staff to mail them. We had no notice of needing to download or statements and I don't have checks now after I just refilled my Union checks a few months before the buyout. I can get one at the bank for $2 per check. Uhm, Thank you?? I hope they can work on the in bank customer service or I will move my accounts to one of my other banks. It doesn't seem like the purchase of our business and how they would make a smooth transition was well thought out as to how it affects us. This was a small local branch for me for two decades and this has been a giant pain in the butt. The great phone reps have kept me sticking around this far but this day has been really bad due to these big issues.

    I was forced to come to US Bank because they bought Union Bank of California, and we were very happy with Union Bank for over 30 years. I recently deposited a very large check from my mortgage company, (due to some repairs needed from water damage). They have put a 10-day hold on my funds, so I can't pay the contractor for the work being done, so now everything is on hold. My partner is retired from the FDIC, and he couldn't believe they were holding it for more than two days, since it takes no more than that for the check to clear. When I called the mortgage company the next day. I went to the bank to speak to a branch manager, but she was too busy on the phone. They asked that I make an appointment. I never would have been treated this way by Union Bank. I will be moving all my funds to Navy Federal Credit Union. US Bank is NON-service oriented!

    Be careful when trying to send money through Zelle on US Bank. I tried to send money $100.00 to my son and the bank locked me out of my account for 48 hours then told me I have to call be in 48 hours and they still may not reinstate my account even then. I’m now looking for a new bank.

    I wish I could give below zero to the US Bank. Total nightmare. I tried to open a bank account online, and it did not accept any payment methods to activate the account. Then, I stopped by at one of their branches and opened an account which took 1 hour. I was waiting for my debit card but it did not arrive. Then, I called customer services and I was told that ID & address verification are required. When I opened the account at the bank, I brought my driver's license, password, lease but they still put on hold. One bank teller says they can give a temporary debit card and other one says they cannot. I had to make a second in-person visit to activate my account. Avoid them at all costs. As soon as they approve my application, I am gonna immediately close the account. Oh, last but not least they "automatically", open a second checking account without my consent or request. They did not even provide a valid answer how did this happen.

    I'm a small business owner. I've had accounts with US Bank for 20 yrs. With my business I use online banking everyday including the app, 2 days ago I had a biometric issue with my phone when attempting to login to app, as result I had to reset my password which has never been a problem doing, however after the password reset I attempted to login and received a message telling me that my username has been disabled and needed to call for help. I have called 2 times (as I was told to wait 48 hrs. and call back if needed). Both reps told me nothing could be done to fix my login and that I would have to wait another 48hrs and call again.

    As a result, I am unable to use online banking, I'm not able to see if invoices that have been sent to my customers are being paid, I'm also unable to see if charges are being made to my business and personal credit cards, I can longer see anything. I've never been treated as badly as I was when calling to fix the problem. Both reps I talked to didn't care and tried treating me horribly bad as if I committed a crime by having basic login issues. They flat out didn't care that I lost online access to my business accounts. I feel this problem will NOT be resolved, as a result I feel that I have no choice but to go through the process of switching banks, when all I did was asked that my login be fixed. With all this said I wonder how and why US Bank cares about small business. This minor problem that has a simple quick solution is having a negative effect on me and my business.

    Wish I could leave zero stars. When setting up an account they say you can use the online banking and virtual card right away until your packet comes in the mail. They don't mention you can't use online banking until you receive your account number that is in the packet. I have to wait 10 days to receive my packet to start using my business account. Who can wait 10 days to bank for a business? When you call they're very unhelpful, a bunch of "sorry" and "we're aware of the issue" but no help. Not a good start, going to close the account and go with Bank of America.

    Contrary to US Bank’s phone reps and managers, the state of Texas does not issue titles. They expect the loan company to mail. The DMV and two car dealers agree. I have had 5 car loans in Texas over 20 years. Bank of America, Chase, Toyota, Ford, and a credit union all mailed the title to me after pay off. I had to apply for a duplicate title at DMV and pay $40 to process. The DMV also said US Bank is the worst to deal with. I called and ask for a refund with a manager and they refused. My next steps will be letter of US Bank Office of President and BBB. Unbelievable experience.

    I've decided to close both my savings and checking accounts with US Bank due to the frustrating inability to complete a basic online external transfer. Wasting over 40 minutes on the phone being shuffled between unhelpful agents and encountering a very rude manager named Nathan, is disappointing. Being denied access to my own funds for no reason, even within the bank's inconveniently low daily limits, is simply unacceptable.

    Froze online access 8/17/23. I called and the associate didn't know why. When I asked to speak to that department she indicated they can't connect to that office and she indicated they have 24 to 48 hrs to reach out to the effected customer. I asked to speak to a supervisor and 40 mins later she indicated, "They are busy and they will call you back," but we all know how call backs are handled. My online access better be enabled within the next few hours or I will close accounts and move on.

    On July 31, at 10:50 am, I put a $20 in the ATM at Riverside Dr. and Mariota Ave. I got a receipt back saying mechanical error. The branch teller said to call and start an ATM dispute. I started a dispute on 7/31 but have not received a refund for the missing deposit.

    My fiancé and I both applied for a US Bank credit cards (Altitude Connect) when our furnace suddenly went out and we had to buy a new one quickly. Instead of using the 0% APR with the furnace company to finance our furnace we opted to both apply for US Bank Altitude Connect credit cards because of the following Offer: "Earn 50,000 bonus points when you spend $2,000 in eligible purchases within the first 120 days of account opening. That's a $500 value redeemable towards travel, gift cards, cash back, merchandise and more." As well as an extend pay program which states "Extended payments for unexpected expenses. Pay over time on purchases of $100 or more with no interest, just a small, fixed monthly fee."

    We both apply for the cards, we get approved, we discuss in great detail our plans for the cards to the representative on the phone.... each earn a little over $500 as we were both spending $5570 on our furnace, sign up for extend pay which would cost less than $100 and make monthly fixed payments with zero APR for our purchase and basically each get $400 for a total saving of $800 off our new furnace.

    SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT PLAN RIGHT??? This was the worst plan and here is why. You must apply for extend pay within 60 days of your purchase, you are unable to sign up when you make the purchase you must wait until you are sent an invite to start the extend pay. Month one goes by we both pay over $100 in interest while waiting for the invite for extend pay, 60 days go by and still no invite for extend pay after several calls to Bank Of America they make it very clear they have ZERO control over the extend pay service they advertise.

    At about day 65 we get an invite for extend pay, thats 5 days past the deadline and we no longer are eligible. We call Bank of American and again this is out of there control they can do nothing regarding extend pay. I do however explain my story to a representative and US Bank does refund our $100 in interest we both paid the previous month. So we both transfer our balance to other cards with zero APR for balance transfers we pay the 3% fee for the service and start making payments.

    Since I now have no balance on my US Bank Altitude Connect Card it's time to get the cash rewards off the card. I attempt to transfer the $557 to my bank account as stated above CASH REWARDS....here's the catch you must have a US Bank account to transfer it to. So now I either apply for a US Bank checking or savings account in which my credit takes a soft hit, just so I can get the money I earned from the rewards program, or I get a $557 gift card which doesn't help me pay off my furnace and is not something I need. My fiance and I have spent countless hours on the phone with US Bank since the day we decided to go this route to TRY to save money on our furnace. As soon as I get my $557 that is owed to me I will destroy my card, cut all ties with this company, and NEVER do business with them again..
