I have come here twice for loans and everything was fast and simple. The app is easy to use and straightforward. I probably could’ve gotten a lower rate with my bank but I didn’t even check. I have dealt here before and pleased with how everything went.

I've gotta give it to Upgrade, they have one important tool in their loan approval process that all other banks need to include in their lender process. It's flawless, it's genius and it does give the lender and instant look at you as a potential borrower. Upgrade asks to have access to your bank account, once in your bank account, they can see all your highs (I deposited over $22,000.00 this past month,) and verify any lows it they exist. One last important point, Merrick Bank is a low-end lender for high-risk borrowers, 24-hours before Upgrade approved me, Merrick Bank denied me off a soft pull of credit report.

Was sent a pre-approved up to 25k when I went online and was offered 1k. So in my mind this is a scam company. If you send out an offer and then don't and won't match you're a scam. Horrible company.

I won't complain about rates, time to process, or credit hit, but internal services and customer service are very questionable. When I got my auto finance I was promised no penalties and ease of extra payments. So far ease is the farthest from the process. They do not allow you by yourself to go online and make extra payments that differ from the amount you set. You can set an increased amount on a specific day, but even when you are ahead, they do not allow any kind of additional payments without waiting through a long hold time for customer service. Then the person you get may not be allowed to process your request. I spoke with a young lady that claimed to be a loan manager and assured me this was not their policy, and it would be reported to IT and resolved quickly. Over a month ago, and so far absolutely nothing. They need to be investigated.

Fast loan process. Huge Origination fee if you can stomach it. If you ever actually need help, when you find their hidden phone number, it will be a call center in India with a long hold time and answers repeated 3x times until they can be understood. If you ask for a supervisor, it will be another rep from the Indian call center. Beware. AI would be a better call center option at this point.

I now currently have two separate loans through Upgrade. Their process is easy to navigate through. They were able to match the total payment amounts from multiple credit cards. But now instead of an unknown amount of years for repayment. I will be able to pay back what I owe in five years. Meaning a total savings on interest. Let alone peace of mind. As always I appreciate Upgrade and will definitely be recommending them.

I took out a home improvement loan. I called today 3/16/2026 and I ask if I can pay extra on the principal, and I was told that I could not. This company is forcing me to stay in this loan for the full duration. The only way I can see paying off this loan earlier is if I make additional payments. I advise anyone looking for any type of loan to not do business with this company.

Getting a loan to pay off my credit card debt turned out to be one of the easiest financial decisions I’ve ever made. The entire process was simple and straightforward from start to finish. Just want to share my experience with Upgrade regarding unauthorized transactions. They are the worst bank EVER to handle such matters. They will lie and misguide you to not take any responsibility whatsoever. They have an employee, named Xavier, who always answers the phone and he is as dumb as a bag of rocks. I definitely would NOT recommend this bank to anyone. They have the worst customer service when it comes to a serious situation such as "unauthorized merchants" taking your money. Be careful!.

Upgrade is the best place to get assistance. Have your documents, upload them, and the money is yours in less than 3 days. DO NOT USE UPGRADE. I used Upgrade to purchase airline tickets on Air Canada. Loan was paid in full November 2025. We canceled our airlines tickets February 18, 2026 and Air Canada emailed that we should receive a full refund via original payment. Air Canada refunded Upgrade on February 19th as noted on my Upgrade account. Upgrade policy states it will refund money within 10 days. I contacted Upgrade on February 27th, 2026, asking about my refund expecting it to go back on my bank debit card (original form of payment). The representative, Joshua, told me they could not refund back to my debit card. He said I needed to add (link) my bank account to Upgrade to receive the refund OR they could mail a CHECK, but it would take 4 to 6 weeks!

Upgrade offered me the best rate and loan options. Requesting a loan was simple and the approval process was smooth and easy. I am grateful for their expediency.

I am a very cautious and skeptical person. So when this process was so fast and so easy I thought it was a scam. But to my delight, it was not a scam. I was approved and funds came in as promised. They did what they said they were gonna do and it was just a no hassle experience. I wish I found this sooner. I would highly recommend this to the people who desperately need help. Outstanding experience overall. I applied for a loan with this bank and wasn't sure what to think because this bank lack actual physical branches. And there's no actual human experience but lo and behold it was fast and easy without someone lecturing you about how much debt you accumulated. Also you can set up a checking and savings account and fund it several ways. So far the two neo banks doing this I know of is Upgrade and Upstart. This may be the wave of future banking.

I made a consolidation loan with Upgrade to of course consolidate all my credit cards. After reading some of the reviews, I was convinced this was the company to get my loan, so I did. Getting the loan was effortless, and very easy with excellent customer service to bait you in. However, if you are asking for temporary hardship, they will not help you or listen to your concerns. They instead let a computer generate what you should be paying. I had never had any issues with paying what I had borrowed, and I am always making sure my payment has gone through.

The process was simple and easy. I applied for a loan to pay off my credit cards. You will have to upload your recent bank statement as well as your driver's license or ID card. The credit bureau they use is Transunion. Once I finish the application and followed steps that was given to upload my documents, I received an email a few hours later and said, "You're approved." Despite multiple documented attempts to resolve the issue, Upgrade ignored lawful consumer rights to validation and transparency, demonstrating contempt for due process and regulatory compliance.

Upgrade did not honor the terms of my loan. They made an error with the distribution of the funds that violated our agreement. Then stalled with endless “investigations” into their own admitted error which resulted in me still not getting my funds - a direct violation of the agreement. They do not make it clear when you borrow the money that they are not the bank. They’re just the middleman there’s a third-party bank that actually funds your loan, causing delays in a lack of communication. I still have not received my funds and I’m in an endless loop of arguing with their customer service.

The Consumer Affairs just classified you as such a bank loan—Your company making $BILLIONS DEFINITELY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. 2 years in Ga opened 2017 isn’t impressive. Seems you hire upon looks not experience too.

It was quick and easy. I applied late on a Saturday night without any hopes of getting a reply, especially not a reply stating I was approved. I was approved within a few minutes and money was deposited into my account the next business day.

I have been doing business with Upgrade for many years, and have opened two accounts with them. They are the only company I have ever worked with that has been truly fair to deal with. They do not place any unreasonable fees on my loan, and if I have any type of emergency come up, all I have to do is call them, and they have always worked it out. I am very grateful that I found this company.

They charged a $400 fee that I was not informed of, either in writing or verbally. The document that advised of this fee only showed up in my account after the money (minus $400) was transferred to my account.

The customer service was friendly but after being transferred multiple times and speaking with multiple agents somewhere the fees were misunderstood and I ended up with 20% of my loan going to origination and consultation fees. The whole process started with a "pre-approval" letter. I would not recommend a loan through Upgrade unless absolutely necessary and be aware that you'll only receive about 80% of your loan amount.

I've never experienced anything like this. Upgrade was so easy to apply for a loan and get it approved and sent to my bank within 2 business days. It was awesome! And I received a good interest rate as well. Unbelievable! I had to check the reviews before I started the loan process and found that it was legitimate.

I have been contacting customer service via email and I am not getting a response. I didn't get the full amount of the loan and just want to know why and I paid on some items and I think they were paid.

I was never told about an origination fee. If I knew they would keep 800.00 of my 10,000.00 I would have never agreed to the loan. I feel they are very dishonest. They tell you a lot of things, text you 2 times every day call you every day of the process, but never tell you about the origination fee. I would never use them again or recommend them at all.

Why is UpgradeInc trying to charge me when I've never applied for a loan thru them? When I try to "ck my account" 'here' it tells me "address not found." It is showing up on my Experian account and is triggering alerts from Discover.

I did a credit card debt, the process and approval were fast. No collateral and no references like other loans. They paid off the credit card within 2 business days and send the rest to my account. I will do it again when I finish paying it off.

This is my second Upgrade loan. I got a good APR, now I paid off my high interest credit card. Upgrade is saving me $8000 interest and in 3 years it will be paid off. I have been paying on that credit card for 10 years and getting no where. Only bad thing is the origination fee but for me it was worth it.
