Got a car financed from this company. Paid on it for a year and my balance barely moved. They sent me a statement that don’t match my bank statement over time payment and something about reversal payments that I never received. They also have on there I made 2 payments in one month. That’s false. I made only one. I have all my confirmation numbers from each payment. I was late a few times but not when they said I was. But my bank states that I never received money back from this company.

Purchased a car from this company. They put a black box on my car so that they cut it off if payment has not been received at the proper time. They told me that since the car is paid off I will have to have the box removed myself. And they sent the info to do as such. Because they didn’t have access to send anyone out to do it. How is that when they have access to cut it off & on? It cost me over 500.00 to have this box removed. They gave me a bogus email address for me to send my invoices for my inconvenience. Don’t do business with this company.

Was sent an email by credit reporting rep and it was submitted in error by Equifax. Rep said it should be resolved soon. I have no other complaints about this company, they provided financing for me when nobody else would.

    Original Review: May 6, 2024

I have had a loan through Prestige for just over a year, it's high interest and I have received a few rate reductions as promised. I am around 75 percent done with a new home loan application. Going today to sign the paperwork and I wake up and equifax shows my account closed, included in bankruptcy, here's the kicker, my bankruptcy was the reason I got this loan from prestige and it was discharged around the first of the year, this remark on my credit tanked my score 21 points so now I will likely lose my chances of closing this purchase or getting a home loan whatsoever, to say I am mad is an understatement, I am furious!!

If it doesn't get fixed I will file a breach of contract lawsuit and seek damages. I thought this was a legit company that was going to help me turn my credit around, well it did turn my credit around, in the opposite direction that was intended by my diligence and making my payments on time and treating prestige like a priority, each and every month. I simply cannot believe that this reckless error on their part has ruined my credit and prevented me from becoming a homeowner...

This finance company is a scam. I went to pay my bill on my credit card. My payment was rejected so I called them to see why the representative informed me they stop taking that tender last September. Not only did I not receive a letter emailed bout thus now my credit is effective for this payment being missed. Terrible company. The Feds need to investigate this company.

The best thing anyone could do at this point is just pay a lil bit of the car note, and just be saving to buy a car cash. Then surrender the car and just work with a credit agency and fight to get it removed, show proof that they have been robbing you, and that they are lying about how much is owed. I kid you not. I have three different principal balances on one statement. No one can confirm how much is owed on the car. So in this they cannot confirm that the information on every statement is correct. I will dispute until they get tired because none of the information is correct on the statements. Not even my address is right.

It's mind-boggling that this company is even allowed to exist. I bought a 2019 CRV in 2019. By the time the vehicle is paid off I will have paid over $50,000. This was not even my loan but because my then fiance didn't have the credit they looked at me and said let's check your credit and I had better credit so we decided to put it in my name but he had the trade in so it then became both of ours. I was told that I was the main person on the loan and he was only the cosigner. I was lied to from the start of this loan. I was told that the loan payments are only $250. That was not true. My payments a month are $640.27 every month. I was told this after everything was signed sealed and finished.

I'm not impressed. This was all through 199ride.com who if you know anything about have gone bankrupt because of the scamming they did to people. Now I have to fight with a man who has dragged my credit through the mud because he doesn't want to pay the car payments and the car payments are constantly late because I have other loans and every other bill is in my name. This company does not care if you're ill or that you have a special needs kid and you have other children to take care of. They could care less the only person that they ever get a payment from, is me. Not the guy who was there that also signed paperwork. I find it very strange.

The interest rate that they charge people is astronomical. There's no way people will ever pay these vehicles off in a timely fashion and they're three times what the vehicle is worth. When I found out I could have bought a Porsche for $35,000, I was livid!!! I don't understand why the Better Business Bureau doesn't step in and do something about their company. Shameful. When people can afford payments but they just don't have perfect credit doesn't mean you have to charge them astronomical prices. That's ridiculous. But thank you for putting me into financial ruin. I'll just go bankrupt a second time in my life. Good Lord.

My car didn't have its title when I first got it so my tags went bad and I couldn't even drive the car. I was told they were pushing my payment out but they actually just changed the due date on it. When requesting to actually change my due date they were aggressive with me as if I was the reason they changed it. HATE THE COMPANY. CAN'T WAIT TO LEAVE!!! We got a loan through this company for a car and although it was extremely high interest, we agreed to it. After paying for quite some time, I had major health issues and was 1200.00 behind, two car payments however, had a payment arrangement with them to completely catch up. At the grocery store a few days later they repossessed it. Then, they wouldn’t send me a bill for the balance after they got paid from the auction. Now 4 years later, they want to be paid interest on the balance of $4,000.00 for a total of over 17,000.00. I have an attorney so I’m not putting up with their ridiculousnesses but be warned. This company is the worst of the worst and shouldn’t be allowed to do business

I recently completed the payoff through my County Court in November 2022 and was informed that the payoff was complete. But to my surprise Prestige claims I still owe $155.00, after the fact. I have never been informed of this debt, no bill, call or email stating I owe this extra amount. When I spoke to Zack(my holder), I couldn't get a straight answer as to why I owe this amount, other than, 'It's interest". Why wasn't this included in the court garnishment or added on through the court. Prestige has no one for me to speak to besides Zack. They claim that their legal dept doesn't accept incoming call. I can't even get the correct attorney who handled the case in Ohio. I'm going to fight this to the end. Very sneaky and underhanded tactics by Prestige.

Fresh out of Bankruptcy in December 2016 I left my local Ford dealership with a 2015 Ford Focus. The interest was high (16.75%) but who else would give me a car loan? Nobody. On 12/27/2022 I paid my loan off. A lot of life happened in those years. Lost jobs. Moved. Financial issues. You know what though? When I had a problem I called the customer service line and explained my predicament. Every single time they worked with me. EVERY single time. The rate reduction is real. You just have to meet the qualifications. One of them being on auto pay. I don't remember the other 2 things but they spell it out for you if you take 3 seconds to read it. My ending interest rate was 14.25%. I didn't meet the qualifications for a while.

Prestige is a company who primarily deals with bad credit car loans. That's a huge risk for them and I'm sure their repossession rate is sky high. Not their fault. If you don't pay your car note and don't communicate with them then they're going to take back their property. That's how things work in the adult world. Are they friendly? Not really. Are they helpful if you call them? Yes. If you have bad credit and they give you a car loan I suggest you make that bill one if your top 3 priorities because the other options are way worse. I got a 6 year loan and I paid it off in 6 years. I paid a ton in interest but you know what? That's life! My car is mine free and clear. Thanks Prestige for giving me a chance and working with me when life threw those low blows!

I informed them that I will make a payment in the full amount of past due total on July 1st, which is date of my first check with new job, literally 7 days from now. They repossessed the vehicle today without any warning as I was heading out to work. I called and asked what can I do to get vehicle back? They had no answers. She didn't know where vehicle the vehicle was, name of the repo company... NOTHING! And said she would call me back in 20 minutes. That was hours ago.

Please avoid this place. Save your money and buy a used car. The interest alone will kill you! The customer service is piss poor and it's unnecessary stress that you don't need. Updated on 11/05/2021: I wrote a review of Prestige, on 2 websites. On both the reply I received is: Prestige Financial Services response, "Hi, Brandi. Thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback. A member of our staff, Kathryn, would like to speak with you and answer your concerns in this review. Please give her a call at ** or email experience@gopfs.com. Thank you." I contacted them from the BBB website, and they just responded to me with the same exact lame excuse as before. "It is Prestige policy not to report your good credit even after you reaffirmed your loan with us. We won't change our policy."

That means all my prior great credit history to Prestige, my continued great credit with Prestige during a bankruptcy, and my ongoing good credit after the bankruptcy will no longer be reported to any of the major credit reporting bureaus. That means for me that my credit rating will not get better because Prestige refuses to report my outstanding good credit to them. Bad policy, and hurts their customers.

Original Review: I have an auto loan with PRESTIGE. PRESTIGE use to report my credit history to the credit bureaus. I never missed or have been late on payments to PRESTIGE. In 2020 I filed bankruptcy. I reaffirmed with PRESTIGE. After my bankruptcy I have continued to make payments to Prestige. In 2021 I found out that PRESTIGE will not now report my payment history to the credit bureaus. I am continuing to honor this auto loan agreement with PRESTIGE by continuing to make every payment on time. PRESTIGE will no longer report to the credit bureaus my ongoing good payment history.

I was emailed by a specialist named Breanne that read: "Payments are still due on the account since you reaffirmed. However, they are not able to be reported. I understand this is frustrating, and I apologize for the inconvenience. This is the policy set by our Compliance department, and we are unable to go against this policy." This is a bad business practice for PRESTIGE customers!!!

In October 2021, I found a car after filing bankruptcy due to being in two bad car accidents back to back. The dealership assured me I had a great deal with a great company regarding a 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport AWD. I was financing just under $20,000. I'm a 100% disables service connected veteran who gets my VA benefits deposited once a month on the 1st. Over the six months I've had this car, I've had zero luck getting the due date changed yet I've made every payment within the grace period.

Upon finding out my interest rate is 23.2% and that my balance six months is is $25,900 and I'd have paid over double if I stick with this loan. I began doing research and asking rate to be lowered. "Kathryn" who seems to be the person who addresses everyone's issues only cares about and represents this predatory lender's best interests, not the consumer. Communication with her proved this. Furthermore, this car is turning out to be a lemon with issues that neither Prestige or the dealer care to help fix. I've filed a complaint with BBB, with CFPB and with my state's AG. If you type in Prestige Financial into Google search, you'll find hundreds and hundreds of people who this company is harming with their predatory lending and illegal practices. Santander who is the same way, just lost a huge lawsuit and is paying out billions to people they screwed over.

Personally, I feel Prestige should be next on the chopping block. Their rates are illegal Usury Rates. They're practices are illegal and "Kathryn" who they have call to clean up any complaints does not care and will attempt to turn things around to place the blame on you. I've asked that my contract be canceled citing predatory lending and lemon laws. Kathryn tried to tell me I can't do that, but in all honesty I can. It's called a voluntary repossession. I don't want to go that route, but if I do I'd have all the documentation regarding all the avenues I've taken. That way if they try to sue for any balance owed Id have documentation to cover my butt. I'm honestly hoping enough people get other to sue them, the way Santander was sued. Lenders like Prestige and Santander need to be reported and held accountable for their predatory lending and illegal practices.

I bought my car 5 years ago, I still owe more than half because when it came due time to make my payment I would pay after the due date causing my interest to be higher. I did not understand at the time when I bought my car for 18k that after that amount comes in the added interest making it significantly higher. If I was to redo my experience I would make my payments prior to the due date so by now it would be paid off. Often if you needed to defer a payment they let you, they work with you any month you're behind which has always been helpful in that moment. I would just make sure you handle finances well and understand how the system works.

I went to purchase a vehicle after a bankruptcy and Prestige was holding my car loan. After two years of paying over $400 per month I called asking for my payout, the Rep told me at that time that I was still paying on the interest and that I hadn’t paid anything toward the principal. And I even asked to be refinanced at a lower interest rate so that my car payments would be lower but was told that I couldn’t refinance. I then emptied the car and I told them to pick it up, the car was voluntarily repossessed but they have been still reporting it to my credit as if I still have it for just about the same amount as my original loan.

Now they are suing me in civil court. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone and to be honest with all of the bad reviews I’m seeing I wish there was a lawsuit against them for ripping off people who are only trying to get a fresh start. Prestige is not helping anyone but themselves and they prey on low income people, and people with less than perfect credit.

Prestige Financial Services are the greediest people I have ever dealt with. I filed bankruptcy in 2009 and never established credit. I needed a reliable car and was leery because of the interest rate. I really was stuck and here I am 4 years later in 2020 and I still owe half of what my loan was even worth. My total loan was supposed to be $24,000. $17,000 later I asked how much I owe, because I'm tired of the harassment every single month. They send me my payoff; I still owe $12,000. I believe $17,000 + $12,000 is $29,000 correct me if I'm wrong. I feel like I am being raped with interest and on top of that they don't offer refinance. I am stuck in this loan because I can't even trade it in. I owe too much and it's been four years. It was supposed to be a six-year loan, and Jessica said that I have another 36 months to go.

I have never dealt with a company like this. This is absurd and it's unethical. What this company does to people that have no credit or bad credit should be illegal. And they don't care about your circumstances at all. They only want your money. Oh and I forgot to mention 6 months after I bought the car.... I didn't want the car anymore, I know I signed a contract but the guy told me, I think his name was Jason.... Told me that I have 3 months to not make a payment during the whole time of my loan and it wouldn't go towards my credit report...

He gave me that option to decide whether or not I wanted to keep the car or sell it, and mind you at this time I only owed $12,000, when I checked my credit report 6 months later there was so many late points from prestige. They lie to you. I don't know how they can get away with it but like I said it should be illegal they are a bunch of greedy, scammers. While us who live in the real world are being a taken advantage of by this company. Worst mistake ever. Leaves a sour taste in my mouth to ever get another car loan. Lesson learned!

After paying for so long, I started to notice the balance would go up then down. Hence, I started making copies of the balance owed after each payment.

However, I get down to my last amount, and the account dashboard shows one amount left. I paid for it. Unfortunately, two days later, it pops up I still owe $6.46, so I paid it., However, four days later, I receive a text message from one of their representatives saying I owe $466.00. I had to file bankruptcy after a terrible divorce and they were all too happy to give me a loan. I knew the interest would be high but I needed a car. After having it for about 3.5 years I was put in the hospital at the end of the year and had no vacation time left at my employer and got behind on a few things and they were willing to work with me and put the 2 payments I owed at the end of the loan (but late fees would still apply) as long as I post dated the next 5 months of payments. I agreed. Then my employer changed our pay dates from Wednesday to Friday and I emailed my rep Michelle (that's how we had been communicating) to ask her to change the next 3 pay dates to the Friday dates that were only 2 days later.

I was off work for a few days and came back to an email from her basically confirming the email I sent her. That following Wednesday they deducted the payment anyway and then while I was out, they had my car repossessed. I called the next day and she said that b/c I didn't reply to the email and confirm AGAIN what I told her that I defaulted on my payment arrangement and they had the right to repossess my car even though THEY WERE PAID the payment as originally agreed. Since then they've sued me and I owed them over $11,000 on a car that I had purchased 5 years ago at this point for $15,000 and they even acknowledge that my car payment was made the same day it was repossessed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER USING THIS COMPANY. Go to JDByrider if you're in need of help with a car loan with credit issues. I got a car loan through them in 2013, and it was a six year term. Of course the interest rate was astronomical because my credit was in the crapper. Never once did I ever have a problem with them. There were so many times that I would call them and change the date of my automatic withdrawal and they always did it without an issue. Not once did I ever have anyone be rude to me. Over the course of my loan, I qualified for interest rate drops. It wasn't a lot--like a quarter of a percent, but every bit helped. My loan was supposed to end in July of this year, but thanks to those rate drops it actually meant that I paid my car off in February of this year. I'm really shocked at some of these reviews because that was not my experience at all.

They like to use scare tactics and try to intimidate you, they like to make light of the fact that you owe more to them than what you actually bought the vehicle! And make you feel like you're trash because you are struggling! After showing an attorney the kind of messages that were sent to us it was made clear that the line was crossed so we are now looking to take action, now that we are aware of the legal avenues that we have at our disposal! I was approved for a car loan with Prestige in December of 2018. They were really good with initial communication, were courteous of the fact that I worked full time and had limited availability to converse throughout the day, and they processed my documentation quickly. I was in the process of rebuilding my credit when I purchased my vehicle so I knew that my interest rates would be high. I've now made 4 payments of $280.00 towards my loan, and only $400.00 has been applied to the principal, but I also realize that most initial payments go towards interest and not the principal balance. I haven't experienced any harassing phone calls, text messages, or emails, and have seen exponential growth in my credit score since opening my account with them.

I truly believe that this company isn't how to hurt people like so many of these reviews lead others to believe. I've made all my payments on time, enrolled in their rate deduction program (which over time lowers the amount of money I'll pay back in interest), and have had respectful interactions with their customer service when I contacted them regarding questions about my loan. If you uphold your end of the loan agreement, they're a great company to do business with.

They make arrangements with you if you fall behind and then they take back the arrangements without knowing or letting you know. So basically you think you're caught up when in reality you're not and 90% of your money goes towards interest not paying down the car you get. So upside down that there's nothing you can do besides have them repossess it and they will use any and all ways possible to make you feel like trash. My dad was murdered. I started experiencing issues with this company a few months after the purchase. They would call me at my job and texted me for payments all day long. Even when account was brought current they continued to contact me. Always threatening to take my car. At one point they advised my mom that they had been trying to reach me and had not heard from me, when they had just sent text and I replied.

My mother was out of her mind thinking that something had happened to me. I contacted them and advised them that I wanted to do a voluntary repo, since they kept stating my car was in jeopardy of being repossessed. I went out and purchase a new car for less than what I was paying with them. They were able to somehow see what I was applying for on my credit and started asking if I was "trying to trade in their vehicle," which I was not because I was too far upside down in the loan. I contacted them and told them to come pick up the car, which they let sit for 3 months charging me more and more.

Once the car was picked up they stated within a week it had been sold and that I owed x amount of money. It's been well over a year and this is still being reported as an active account and I am still being charged. Some of my credit reports have the debt listed as a charge off while other reports still show it is an active account. I would advise you to read all paperwork before signing with them. There are companies out there that really do want to help, this is not one of them.

When my husband left me for his mom and another woman, he left me with credit bill that I did not have a choice but file for BK for a fresh start. I was not thinking clearly since all I needed was to have a car that will bring me to work. I ended up turning in my 2016 Sonata and getting a second hand 2013 Elantra from a Sin City dealer (don't go to this dealer please). The interest rate was 19.87% and the total cost of the car amounted to $24,+++, the price of a new SUV.

I have been paying my car loan religiously since I am rebuilding my credit but it just saddened me when I found that that despite paying $372.50 monthly, everything went to interest only. The principal remained the same. I pray that everything is not about money for this group. But rather the genuine interest to help people be out of any financial difficulty.

She explained that this was done because others like all of the reminders, but definitely would stop all of the reminders to me... and they did stop. Every time I would call with any question the representative was knowledgeable and nice.

About 9 months into my loan payments I needed to put that month's payment on the end of the loan. I was not granted that request, but they were able to work out that I pay half of my note for that month. That helped out tremendously with my financial situation at that time. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Prestige Financial. They trusted me to be able to make my payments on time and then to be helpful in the rebuilding of my credit. They served us notice, and then screwed around with changing attorneys, filing notices with only one day to respond, and called me CONSTANTLY at work -- despite being told to stop. They said they couldn't work out a payment plan, and that I would need to come up with the entire amount + interest, in cash, immediately. They have been the rudest creditor I have ever dealt with. After being screwed through the court system, Prestige got a judgment, and then didn't contact me again.

While I was sitting at the hospital waiting for my son to get out of his first brain surgery. I paid on my loan for the entire 15 months my son was sick and on total care. When my son passed away, we contacted Prestige to ask if they would forgive the remaining debt, or work out a different payment plan as we couldn't afford what we had been paying (my husband was not working so he could care for our son).

Fast forward THREE years, and I get a notice that my check will be garnished immediately. They have been taking $800/month since January. I have tried multiple times to work out a payment, but have been informed that unless I can come up with $1500, they can't do anything. When I explain that I've already paid them $8000(!!), they have told me it doesn't matter, because that wasn't voluntary.

I asked them how they expected me to come up with $1500 on top of the $800 they are already getting paid. Their response has been "you know, we don't have to work out a repayment plan with you at all." Awful, awful, awful company. We have had the displeasure of having to work for the same person for the last several years. He is rude, condescending, made religious judgments, and disparaging comments. I called GAP insurance as to why they didn't pay full balance due and they said it was because Prestige listed unclaimed interest as part of amount due and they don't pay that.

Prestige wanted to collect remaining 3.5 years interest on account, even though there is no car to collect it on so what are you receiving interest for. Because GAP insurance didn't pay this "unclaimed interest", when they received the money from the insurance companies, they collected their interest money from a 6 year loan and then some, leaving a balance on principal which will continue to collect interest and fees, and tell me that I need to pay it. So when it's all said and done they will have received more than $33,000- 3 times more than the value of the car. I don't care who you are or how bad you need a car, get a bus pass until you are able to get a loan from a real lender, not this loan shark. Scammed and duped in Ohio.

I have been with Prestige Financial since June of 2016. We bought a 2014 Kia Forte from a dealership and the price was 15250. Our monthly payment is 334 a month and 19.99% interest. We are in a current bankruptcy so we knew we would have high interest. We have never been late on our payment, we have an online account that we can set our preferences for contact. We get 1 text monthly reminding us 5 days before our due date. Whenever we have a question customer service has always been friendly and helpful. We have made 22 monthly payments and owe 10982 remaining. To those who say your car was 15000 and still owe 14000 3 yrs later did you buy a warranty? Gap insurance? Etc? That caused your amount financed to be higher than the price of the car.

Well, they wanted to put me in a different car with higher payments!! I said, "No thank you." Dealt with the car for a year and finally said screw it... I had gotten laid off from my job and was tired of trying to keep my payments up with my unemployment. I told them to pick the car up, that was in 2008. Here it is 2018 and they are garnishing me $400.00 a month. That’s more than the car payment I have for my 2015 Nissan Versa that I bought in 2015.

I’m drowning in bills because of them. I can see paying for the balance after car was auctioned but no... they are charging more than what I originally got that car for in the first place... they are an extremely crooked company. I know when you are desperate to get a car and they are willing to finance you it sounds great but seriously, DON’T DO IT!!!! My daughter had the same issues with them, calling her constantly one day after payment was due. They are the worst, absolutely the worst.

I've had my car since Oct 2013. I have always made my payments on time with a few exceptions. The account manager I had, was amazing. He was nice and understanding and because of him I kept my account in good standings. Never been behind a month on my payments. Well a couple of months ago my account manager disappeared and since I have had 2 different account manager. Both no longer work at the company.

A week ago I get a call from Ryan the VP (he kept telling me) about my payment. I made arrangements like I normally do and it was fine. Today I call to stop the payment from posting in my account tomorrow because I had the cash on hand. So I was just going to Western Union it. First time I call I get a very rude speaking woman (this is after the phone ranged for a good 20min, that was strange to me). I explained to her what I need to do and she canceled my payment for posting and I left a message for Ryan the CO to call me back.

So I get a call from Diane and from the time I answer the phone she was ready to light into me. I tried to explain to her what I was trying to do and she was getting smart and rude telling me I was 90 days behind on my payment. That when I got heated and verified to her that I have never been a month behind. Then she gets to tell me that I needed to have my payment at Western Union before. They close the books (I'm like what books)... I explain to that my time zone is an hour ahead and it will be in the no later than 4pm my time if they close at 6pm. She then ask me what Western Union place I would be using... So I just hang up.

About 7pm Ryan calls and proceeds to tell how they wasn't going to make any more exceptions for me and if my payment was in by the 31st, I couldn't double up on my payments for November. I ask him what he was talking about because I never planned on doubling up on anything. I just didn't want my bank account to be drafted because I had the funds on hand. He starts getting all macho with on the phone and I hung up on him. Since I have been with this company I have never been treated so. Rudely. Something strange is really going with this company and I am going back checking my account because she mention me being 3 months behind at one time and I never been a month behind. I might now pay on my due date, but it's paid before the end of the month.

My interest rate was 20 percent but what could I expect. My credit score was like 550. They would call and text me the day before my payment or each day after it was due if I was late. I think that's what a lot of the complaints on these reviews are calling them harassing phone calls. People you most likely have had a bankruptcy or repossessions and you borrowed a significant amount of money from them. What do you expect lol.

Guess what. If you make your Payment on time like you said you would they wouldn't have to call you. I don't get how many complaints I read with people not liking how they called and asked for their money. You owe it to them and have a responsibility to pay no matter what your circumstances are. Yes the interest is through the roof and your loan will go down very slow the first 3 years but guess what. Nobody else will loan you the money for lower. I purchased a vehicle in Aug of 2015 before my bankruptcy was even discharged. I knew I would have a high interest rate. I actually figured it would be 20% because of bad credit. After a few hours at a dealership it came to be 19.49% which I anticipated. I did have a slight issue in the beginning, it took them forever to set my account up. I only got my info about one week before my due date. But nevertheless I got it. I do get reminder text. I can say I have never received a phone call but I have always gotten a reminder text before my due date and on it. Which I am okay with because I approved that. I see a lot of people have had bad customer service. I personally have not, and I do not get bombarded with calls either. I have been late before and I was told I had a 10 day grace period which is weird, maybe they just meant they wouldn't report it. I have always had a good experience.

I can say I was super distraught when I saw how little of my payment was actually going to the principal, that was very saddening, I was paying 350.00 monthly and like 280.00 of that was interest. But since I have went Active Duty military and due to Federal law they had to drop my interest rate to 6%. I only bring this up because I never knew about this, I called on day to pay my bill and it was 100.00 less monthly and I thought they made some error. After talking with a super nice representative, she explained to me why my interest rate dropped. This is integrity on the company's end, because as I stated I didn't even know they had to do that. I have another car loan with another company who wouldn't drop the rate until I provided documentation, which they already had on file, it took me over a month to get them to drop my rate on that car.

So in short, not being rude to people here complaining, but if you signed the papers at that interest rate, EDUCATE yourself. They have the right to divide the principal and interest up how they feel, and most likely almost all of your first payments will be interest. Once you have met the interest amount then your payments become all principal. All in all, if you have bad credit and you are trying to build it back up this would be a good company if you don't mind paying the extra interest. I mean if you don't have a 750 credit score you're not getting the rate that someone with that score would.

I purchased a vehicle from Mazda of Roswell in April, 2017. I was contacted by Tidewater Finance Company, which initially referred me to the dealership due to me going through a bankruptcy. I went in, picked out a car, signed the paperwork, paid my down payment and everything. Nearly a month goes by and I had not received an account number for my first car. Note that was due on the 15th of May. I called Prestige and was told that my loan had not been funded and I would have to contact the dealership to find out why. Prestige also informed me that they had sent back a request of some sort on the 21st of April and I heard nothing from the dealership or Prestige regarding this matter. No one called me, EVER! I had to call them!!

I called the dealership and was given the runaround by the finance managers and salesmen. I was initially told that my rent was too high, even though I said that I only paid half. The dealership said that they would try to see if the finance company would work with that. Then it was another excuse and another, and another. Unable to fully get to the bottom of what the issue REALLY was, I was told by the dealership that I would have to return the vehicle. This was on a Thursday, May 11, 2017. I informed the dealership that they had put me in a bind because I had told my other finance company that they could come pick up my other car since it was going to be included on my bankruptcy. One of the dealership managers said that he would give me the weekend with the car so that I could try to find something else.

I called Prestige back and asked them, "why was I told that I was approved and then rejected?" The person on the phone said, that they did not know why that would happen because once they say that I am approved, I am approved... Unless someone tried to run the application a second time. Which would make no sense. When I returned the vehicle, the I was not provided anything in writing from the dealership or Prestige stating that my loan was denied and that I was returning the car. I had to call the police just to get my down payment refunded to me and to have SOME evidence that I returned the car to the dealership per their request! Still to this day, I have no idea as to why I no longer have the car that I was approved for or the car that I signed for.

I asked them how does it go from 20% to 22%. I bought the car for 16,000 back in July 2012. Paid 22% interest since then. Car was to be paid off by July 2017 - 5 yr. loan. They told me I still owe 10,000 on the car - how do they figure that.

Don't ever buy a car from them. They harass you when your payment is due, by harassing phone calls and they are very rude. I am not paying another 10,000 dollars on a 2008 car, that I have already paid 28,000 on in July 2017. They can come and pick the car up and if they try to garnish my wages, I will hire an attorney to show them all the paperwork I have on this car. Ridiculous, poor customer service and don't care how they treat anyone.

I purchased a vehicle from them during my bankruptcy as I was losing my cars in the bankruptcy. I was not told there was no grace period, no one even went over the paperwork with me. A person drove the car to my house and dropped it off, and knew nothing about any of the paperwork and could not explain any of it to me, even when I was asking questions. They are worse than bill collectors. I have never been treated so rudely or disrespectfully ever in my life, from a person who I was paying for a vehicle. I was in my grace period that all companies give you, and contacted them to let them know I was going to be a couple of days late due to issues, and my phone was blown up not stop all day every day until I made the payment. Even though I explained "on my payday I would call in and make the payment first thing in the morning" which I did as I stated.

After someone trying to force me into giving them my bank information and setting up a payment plan even though I told them I was not comfortable doing it, it even went as far as my advising they could come take the car as I was not advised no one went over the paperwork with me, etc. I explained to them they were worse than bill collectors and that I would have never financed through them if I would have known they were going to treat me so bad, and talk down to me like I am the scum of the earth due to having gone bankruptcy and needing a loan for a higher risk person. I wish I would have never done this and regret it every day.

Threats to escalate my account for nonpayment when I'm up to date until this last payment. I told them I would pay on May 5 when payment was due on April 25 and I have a 7 day grace period. They are nasty, rude and threaten to take your car. I don't understand how they can get away with this. I want to file a lawsuit against them and I want this company shut down. That's 4668 per year. I am 1 yr and 1 month into this loan and the remaining amount is 15443. This is horrible. I wish I would have done my homework before signing with them. This car won't be paid off for 8 years at this rate. I am going to start paying double every month to try to get this over with. We won't even discuss the customer service. The customer service rep Kris, I advised him not to ever contact me by phone again or the so called vice president he put on the line. They can send me emails so I have all of this information in writing. In addition, the next person I spoke to regarding the same situation, nothing had changed since the last time I spoke with them, even suggested that I give them a bad check for a payment so they could make books by the 31st.

What is the problem that they cannot wait 7 days and charge me a late fee? I haven't had this type of communication with a car lender before ever and moving forward will be recording my phone conversations with them and documenting the communications because they are in violation of the Fair debt collection practices act which states: federal law that prohibits debt collectors from engaging in abusive or deceptive bill collection practices.

Maryland also has its own law that protects consumers from deceptive and abusive behavior by people and businesses collecting debts. This law, the Maryland Consumer Debt Collection Act (MCDCA), adds significant protections to consumers because it covers activity by both debt collectors and creditors (in most situations, the FDCPA only covers debt collectors). If you live in Maryland, you are protected by both the FDCPA and the Maryland fair debt collection laws. Get familiar with the laws people. Things happen whether you're late on your payment or not. I purchased a 2011 Honda Accord with 42000 miles on it. Back in 2014 Prestige approved me for a 18% interest rate auto loan. I was stupid to make this deal and I was not even cleared from my bankruptcies yet. The company National Motors in Maryland they had me there all day making this purchase and the next morning I realized it was because they sold me a vehicle with damage paint job that was not noticeable at night and then refused to fix it or take the car back. I was in need of a car and did not take the time to really think things over. I was just so happy to be approved. Now I am locked into a 20,000 dollar loan with a payment of $485.00 a month. I always made payments on time and now it's too much for me.

I have asked them to come get the vehicle at which time I was attacked verbally by text message by my account manager. Threats of garnishing my paycheck and no matter if I come to court I don't get to decide if how much I can afford to pay. I said to him, "just make sure you send my court papers to the correct address. I will let the judge decide for me." Even if the Judge make me pay it can't be more than my car payment not with my income at this present time. Oh and the car is still sitting in my driveway not picked up yet. It's been a month now.

I have tried to refinance that car with no success and I have tried to trade it in but they all say I owe too much money on the loan. I have been paying for this car for 2 years and I got a letter saying I still owe over 18,000 on this vehicle. I have even asked them if I could allow someone else to take over the loan. They will not put the loan in that person's name. My name has to stay on the loan unless they find someone to finance them. I even asked if they could lower my car payments. No was the answer to that. So sick of this company. What can I do now? I guess my credit is going to ruined for life because I am not giving them another dime.

I lived in AZ during the mid 2000 when the economy took a dive. My husband and I had 4 kids and struggled as most to hold on and we ultimately lost everything including the car Prestige financed. They hounded us endlessly, yelling, threatening us, telling us we were bad parents, giving our info out to countless people our neighbors who we did not know personally. They informed them that they were repoing the car we were not paying. They took the car with my husband work equipment inside and refused to give it back. This caused trouble. He ultimately lost the job cause of no transport and the equipment being gone.

10 years later they are still harassing us out of the blue they sent garnishment to my husband's new job in North Carolina where it's not legal to garnish for a car loan. We called the state attorney general and filed a complaint. He said it was illegal and stopped them in their tracts within days. They faxed a letter to the employer and are sending a letter to the company. They hid the garnishment by going to a magistrate in AZ and serving papers to a old address. If they knew he had a new job in a new city 3 hours from that address they knew that address was old.

They are a terrible company. They have turned a loan that was 9999.99 into 30000.00 so that we can never be rid of them and they have told us they will never leave us alone and they will never stop that we will never pay them off and if my husband kills himself over their tactics they will sue his estate. We tried filing bankruptcy but the judge said it was timing out and we had nothing else. They should go away and if they did not to refile. But really why should we have to refile and suffer another 10 years. We lost everything. When is enough enough? If there is a class action against this company I better be informed!

They were very upfront and told me which I'm sure they told all these customers NO GRACE PERIOD!

Anyway after 1 yr of never being late now I received a letter saying I will NEVER be charged a late fee for the remaining portion of my loan. Since I paid on time 1 yr straight. Now even though I will not be doing that it's nice to know if I do hit a hard time I'm OK. This company can charge high interest because WE messed up our credit not being responsible. Prestige Financial has ruined my life. The company approved me for an auto loan right before my bankruptcy was discharged in 2012. I knew it was a mistake from the beginning. Two days into having the car in my possession (and before they sent the check to the dealership) I contacted my account manager (Brian) and told him I didn't want the loan. He told me that if I returned the vehicle, there would be a repossession on my credit report. I determined that was a lie, but at that time, it was too late.

I had the car for almost 2 years before I decided to a voluntary repossession. I sent a notarized letter requesting they send someone to pick up the vehicle as I couldn't deal with the harassing phone calls. My account wasn't late, but I have to wait 90 days before the repossession could happen. So the car Sat for 3 months. Finally, it was gone. They sold the car for $700- which was never applied to my balance. My account was charged off with a balance of 19K! Prestige Financial reports my charged off account each month and add 2K worth of interest each month making it impossible for me to pay this debt off! I am so sick of this company ripping me off!! Please let me know if there is a Class Action lawsuit filed against Prestige Financial. If so, I would like to sign up. I believe they have illegal business and collection practices.

I declared bankruptcy after making many financial mistakes! I had my car repossessed which was the very last straw. When I went to get another car, it was with Prestige, AFTER filing for chapter 7 bankruptcy. They gave me 18% interest rate with an open bankruptcy and a credit score <400. I was able to obtain a 2016 Nissan Versa Note with 4000 miles. Yes my payments are almost $400 a month for 72 months. Yes, they must be paid ON TIME. But know what? That is nothing new!!! ALL payments should be paid on time! Everything, every month, every year, every time!!! My payments are now ALL on auto pay via a prepaid debit card. I can't manage a checking account due to damage to that portion of my brain from chemotherapy from cancer. But I found a way. A prepaid debit works just like a checking account. You can have direct deposit and set up autopay so your payments are NEVER late!!!
    .

So get off your stinking modus operandi of constant complaining and moaning about how everyone is wronging you because you have to pay your bills and they would like you to pay them on time!! WOW! Like this is a new thing. If you sold something to someone and expected payment on the first of the month and they said they couldn't pay now but maybe next month or the month after. Just how do you think you would react??? You would be very angry and you would be on the phone making calls!!!

Prestige is NO different than any other company that wants their payments on time. They just deal with a bunch of us deadbeats so they have to be more diligent than most. Stop putting all the blame on them and start looking in the mirror to see where the real problem is! Start paying your bills first and on time and you will be amazed at what opens up to you in a few months or years.

I purchased a 2009 Nissan Sentra in November 2011 after a meeting of my creditors for a bankruptcy. Okay, so of course, I expected a high interest rate, but what I received was Prestige Financial Services. I'm being totally honest, I may have made a few payments late, but not enough to still owe $10,917.42 for a 2009 vehicle. I, like everyone else, do not feel I deserve this type of treatment from a finance co. (loan shark). My first payment I thought I had a grace period but I guess not, supposedly a collections manager (Aaron?) was placed on the line with me and informed me if I have to sell something I need to make my payment and that late payments were charged at $10 per day.

Fast forward to 2016, I want to trade in my vehicle and buy something more to my liking than what the dealership thought I needed. My loan manager, Cassie, I actually like her. She doesn't do the aggressive intimidation or name-calling, she just does her job. My loan manager before Cassie, I would have loved to strangle her in her sleep, she was so annoying. She wanted to me sale my Christmas presents one year to pay my car payment, I had to give her a few choice words before hanging up on her and receiving a text from her stating she would contact my neighbors to see if the vehicle was in my driveway. Really??!! If you know my neighbors then you should have called one of them first before contacting me and being rude.

In my opinion these car lots should provide straightforward information about Prestige before you sign on the dotted line. I'm not happy about any parts of this situation. I actually thought by the end of 2017 I would have this vehicle paid off. I pay $440.00 a month on a 6 year contract. This should be paid off December 2017, but NO because Prestige has charged interest on top of interest. BBB here I come and if anyone is going forward with a class action suit please contact me.

I have a car through Prestige Financial. They have messed up my account numerous times. They have double charged me causing overdraft fees at my bank. One I was in another state and because of how my paychecks were coming in they were supposed to do half my payment a week before it was due and the other half the day it was due but the lady charged the full amount the week before it was due and said oops she didn't mean to, this caused me to be stuck in Vermont an extra week and got me fired from my job because I couldn't get to the airport. My grandfather was about to pass away and he couldn't drive me to the airport and she over drafted my account so I couldn't take the taxi to the airport.

I used my dad's card 1 time and told her it was a 1 time only and then the next month she automatically charged his card without verifying it with me and it over drafted his account, and I had already used a checking account to make the payment but she didn't look at the pending transactions on my account before charging his card. And this is just a few things they have done. So at one point I had lost my job and one of the other guys who runs my account asked me if I wanted to change my due date because I asked to make a payment arrangement, I said no so he said I could have a deferment and skip 1 payment so I said, "Great that works." A week later he texted me and said, "Sorry I can't do the deferment so you're now a week late and need to figure out how to come up with it."

I never asked him to do it. He offered it and it really screwed me. Then I said I need time to come up with the money because I didn't think I had to pay it, so what's he do, he went and changed my due date which can only be done once so I can't change it back. I can't come up with rent and a car payment on the 1st and the 4th. I needed them spread out more. So now that they cost me my job and changed my due date my payment is late every month. It's due the 4th. I can't pay till the 20th. I've never been 30 days late and they still call, text and email me every single day even though I tell them I can't pay till the 20th every month. The messages are getting more and more rude. One time a message said, "Nicole, why do you have such a hard time doing something so easy? Is it really that hard to catch on for you?"

And I had surgery few weeks ago and been having major complications since so I don't respond to every text literally every day so they sent the email below. And the whole I have 1 more check this month thing, umm I told them 6 months ago I no longer have a job because they got me fired. "Shortly you will get your last paycheck you get for the month, are you planning to use it to make your past due payment? Since I have not heard from you, I am only left to assume you do not want to resolve this. It is your decision if you want this loan to work for you and build your credit or against you. Unless I hear from you, I will take your no contact as you do not plan to make the payment for this car and I will let management know your decision. It is not fair to the people around you, that soon we have to call them daily because you won't communicate. AMANDA @ Prestige."

She stated she would not work with me, sent emails taunting me with the subject line "are you giving up" then asked me if my husband know what position I'm putting him in by being late. If she would have listened with compassion the first time, he was the reason the payment was late, but she only wanted money.

I made one payment that day, then she asked for the next payment. I stated 2 weeks because rent was due on the next one, she says "no, can't take a payment into another month", I knew she could because I work for an auto finance company and she was just trying to get her bonus. She then agrees to take it after I told her that. Then she tries to belittle me by saying Prestige was the only company willing to give me a loan because no one else would finance me. I advised she was a lie because 2 different companies financed me that day. She, of course switched subject and stated nevertheless, I needed to make a payment and she locked me out of the online payment system so that she could control the payment. I asked to speak with a manager. She left me on hold for about 7 minutes then stated there not one around.

My complaint is with Prestige Financial Services. This company has displayed poor business tactics since day one of me purchasing this vehicle. I have called them and sent a follow-up email to the person who is supposed to be my account manager on Oct. 20 and twice on Oct. 26. I have asked them to pick this vehicle up since Oct. 20, 2016. First I was told by Keith ** (whom is my account manager) on Oct. 20th that I have to wait until the first week of November for them to pick this vehicle up. I advised him that timeframe is not within reason and he insisted the account is not over 30 days past due, and they will not be picking up before then. I advised I am aware I placed a Do Not Call on my account however I am allowing calls in regards to this agent picking up the vehicle. Even with DNC, this company still can send correspondence.

I never heard from Prestige Financial. I called again on October 26 and spoke to a female who was very rude and arrogant. She advised me I will have to wait 2 months for them to pick up this vehicle as the account has to display a long period of delinquency. I told her that is too long and unreasonable for you to expect someone to hold this vehicle storage. I advised her my apartment complex will be looking to tow this vehicle as it is no longer the vehicle I am using as I reported a voluntary repossession to them on Oct. 20, 2016. She said my reason for wanting to give the vehicle back is not good enough, and I am to make sure the vehicle stays safe and covered by my insurance until 2 months or more for them to pick it up.

She also stated they only pick up cars during certain times and I will have to wait it out as they also want months reported as not paying, and they have to locate a repo agent. I told her I live in the city of Dallas and I know for a fact that repo agents are not hard to locate, and they are more than willing to pick up vehicles within 72 hours notice. I also advise her that I am not going to continue to pay insurance on a vehicle that I do not intend to keep as they are causing their own delay for picking it up. She basically told me she doesn't care and I have to wait for over 2 months. In the meantime, I am getting calls from my apartment manager that this vehicle has to be moved.

My car payment was due on 10/24/16 and this company has made it clear that they intentionally want to harm my credit more by reporting this vehicle more than 30 days late out of spite. Yes, I know my credit will be affected by the deficiency balance left over after sale. However, reporting me more than 30 days past due should not be done since they want to take their sweet time picking this vehicle up. It doesn't even make any sense for me to pay in the meantime of them picking it up because they want it to be severely past due before they will send a repo agent.

Today is November 14th and this vehicle still hasn't been picked up by Prestige Financial. Even with a DNC on my account, and numerous emails I have sent directly to Keith ** and the Prestige Financial Company site, I have still yet to receive even a letter response from them regarding this vehicle. Companies like this should not be allowed to use Corporate means as a form of punishment to get back at customers whom want to return vehicles to them. If they practiced professionalism, tact, and valued customer service they wouldn't have customers wanting them to take their vehicles back. That would be why they have over 200 complaints on the internet.

In addition, they are causing me additional issues with the apartments I live in. Why would I take the vehicle I want to keep out of my assigned parking spot to put the vehicle I don't want to keep there and risk it getting towed? All because they want to punish a customer. There should be laws in place to mandate companies from taking an unreasonable amount of time for a voluntary repossession.

I explained that I sold my car and that they would be receiving the payment from the dealership. They were relentless and seemed quite desperate. If I had agreed to pay them, it would have extended my contract with them and caused many more headaches. I explained that I know the law and the dealership has a particular amount of days to pay the quoted "Pay-off" amount. They continued to try to scare me and threatened to damage my credit, impose extra fees, etc.

They finally stopped contacting me when I explained that I understand the law and that if they continued to harass me, I would file a complaint with the State Attorney General (which I absolutely was prepared to do). I haven't heard from them since. My new rate on my new car is 3.9, as opposed to 17% and I'm so happy to no longer be dealing with Prestige. If they hadn't tried to pull this latest trick, I would have given them a star or two more, but this was simply unethical. If you pay your monthly bills, which I did, they will give you reminder calls and pretty much leave you alone from here. Please please please DO NOT use Prestige Financial! Today was the last straw. This company, without my authorization or knowledge, withdrew money from my checking account, stating "your payment is due on the 22nd". Every other time I have made a payment over the phone or set up a payment online, they have issued the standard terms of agreement (do you authorize PFS to withdraw funds blah blah blah) This time? No. Because they knew that they did not have authorization. When calling Angelique, she became angry and said that I had authorized the deduction at the end of August. Uh, NO. She then asked if I would like her to pull the call. I said absolutely. All of a sudden she could not do this, it could only be done by a supervisor and said supervisor was conveniently in a meeting.

This company will not return my calls or emails. So I am so down with a class action lawsuit. I have filed a complaint with Utah State Attorney General as well as the BBB and the Oregon Attorney Generals Office. This company needs to be fined at the least or shut down! Contact me please if anyone else would like to discuss a lawsuit against these people! (I'm on Facebook!)

I signed on the dotted line on April 1, 2014. I had really bad credit. I bought a 2013 Ford Focus. My loan payment was $443 for 72 months. After paying on the car for 2 1/2 years, a $17,400 car, I still owed $14,000. I was never late on my payments. My biggest complaint with them is they call, email and text you either 1 or 2 days before your payment is due to remind you of your payment. Personally I find this harassment and crazy. But I guess they feel we need reminding due to our credit worthiness. The Focus was my worst purchase ever. Due to the dual transmission it never really ran right. I had taken back in to the dealer at least 4 different times for repairs. Thank God I didn't have to pay out of pocket as this was all due to the transmission.

Finally a year ago I got serious with my credit. I worked my tail off to get it cleaned up. I worked with a credit repair attorney. The $1,000 investment was well worth it. In 2014 my score was 499. I traded in that Focus on September 9. I bought a 2016 Mazda 6 Touring. My trade in on that Focus was 5600. Needless to say I was $8,000 upside down on my loan. The positive side to this is my score was a 715 at the time of trade in. I thank God I'm out of that loan. The interest rate is like loan sharking to me. Prestige Financial collection practices before loan payments must be considered harassment. I did what I had to do at the time but I will never allow myself to get in that situation again.

I have been associated with Prestige since 2009. We went in there to buy an SUV. I should have walked out when they said they had to go looking for a car for me from other lots when they had over 500 on the lot we went into. Two days after we went in, we were told of a 2005 Ford Explorer that we would like. We said no first and walked away because the interest was just too high. But, we needed a car badly for work. So we got the Explorer. The offer that got us back into the door was the Gap Insurance they offered. We pay $650 UPFRONT and our car would be covered no matter what.

Four years later, the Explorer was side swiped on the side of our house on the night of Halloween. Our insurance paid Prestige $8000 for the total loss and the $2700 left over I was sure our Gap insurance would pay for it. Nope, they paid $336 and the rest was left for us to pay. Why in the hell, did I purchase something that didn't pay out like it was suppose to? I paid more for the Gap insurance paid for on my behalf. Wouldn't you know it. The Gap Insurance company is a subsidiary of Prestige Financial. Now, they want me to pay $5500 back to them. You got to be kidding me. I want to know if anyone would like to start a class action lawsuit against Prestige. I am tired of their crap.

I bought my car back in 2012. I was having credit issues. I wanted to build my credit and thought this was a great way to do it. I can't say that I've had any issues with Prestige. I have paid every single payment on time and I pay extra when I can. I haven't gotten any rude calls, text, or emails from them. I called a few times for balance checks and I received good service. Although this is a financial institution that I am sure makes a great profit, the website is awful. I now know there is a reason for this. You can't see the interest you are being charged, you can't see your payment history, and there isn't a clear layout of your bill. After reading the response they have to some of the other consumers. I doubt I will ever use Prestige again.

Here is the problem I would like to warn consumers about. Car dealers and Financial Services as Prestige Financial Services prey on consumers at their worse time. They use the term 2nd chance finance and advertise helping people in need when what they really do is overcharge on the price of their cars and refer customers to financial institutions that charge extremely high interests rates. Because you are in a bind, you do it. Often times we sign without understanding the terms of the loan (which is what I did). What does that mean? By the time I pay off my loan, I could have bought 2 cars. I did something today that I should have done before I signed on the dotted line. I did the math. I was horrified by what I've paid in interest and I am embarrassed that I signed for this loan. I am not saying that it is only the responsibility of the financial institution to explain terms, but I feel it is deceptive not to. They rely on our desperation.

Please! Please! Please! Read the terms of your loan. Because I've paid every payment on time, my credit has improved. By the end of my loan, the cost of my improved credit will be $8,000-$10,000, and that my friends, is not worth it. Read about daily interest versus a conventional loan. This was a very expensive lesson and I hope none of you make the same mistake.

I have had my loan for 22 months. My original loan was for $21,500 and I am now down to $19,800. This shows you how far 21% interest rate gets you. I have had my issues with customer service and my account manager at times. I have been talked down to a few times when I fell on financial hard times. They want you to pay them and they don't care who else you owe. I did get some resistance when I asked for help but eventually got a reprieve. One of my biggest concerns is that I bought this car without doing any research and I got so screwed. I owe $19,800 for a car (Toyota mind you) that is only worth $5500 trade-in.

I am so very upside down, I don't know how I will ever get out of this loan. I realize I was a credit risk due to my credit score, but the dealership talked up and down about how they are a second chance lender and if I pay on time for 12-18 months, I can come in and trade it for a better car and a better rate. Well I tried that and found out just HOW upside down I really am. I fell into the "how much do you want your payment to be or what can you afford?" Never answer that question because at that point it does not matter what the cost of the car is, they will get you to the payment (or damn close) and make it look like they did you a favor.

I am the IDIOT who signed for this car. I thought would be reliable and trustworthy for many years since I was newly single and needed a reliable vehicle. I had no idea the car was worth CRAP. I'm very disappointed in the fact that I did not go in better prepared, but I had almost NO money down, a poor credit score and in desperate need of a car. That's what I get I guess. I just want others to know what they are getting into with this company. Coincidentally, this bank is owned by Larry H. Miller who has several car dealerships in the Denver area which, to me, seems like a big conflict of interest to be selling cars and the bank you own can finance them. Maybe not. BEWARE and do your research. It will pay off.

My story for the reasons in getting my car are the same as everybody else, just out of bankruptcy. Single parent of a special needs child and had medical bills I'd never be able to pay so I had to file. I also needed a reliable way to get my child around. I went to a reportable dealership and I had the car for 3 weeks before they finally closed the deal. A deal I think was never supposed to go through. Anyway they put me with Prestige. The guy assigned to my account is actually really nice... or so it seemed.

I lost my job when the patient I cared for passed away and it was Christmas time so the guy assigned to my account said I had "a lot of options to help me out." He let me pay my loan for less a few months in a row. He has also arranged every month for me to pay my loan at a later date depending on my paychecks. Well that was all a set up. I'm two years into my loan and last month they ran my debit card before they were suppose to so there wasn't any money so my loan guy calls me and says that he again has a lot of options for me.

Well I told him it's because they ran my card too early but a options are nice since my car payment is as much as my rent almost and he let me pay 50 dollars less. Well I just received a letter threatening me saying I'm in default for not paying my loan on time and not paying the full amount every month. Wtf??? These "arrangements" were not only okayed by them but were their idea and now they want all the $ I didn't pay and all the interest $ from my late payments paid in full in 10 days or they will repossess. Holy crap, are they kidding?

It's a Sat so of course I can't get a hold of them till Monday. They want $ they know don't have so they will repossess my car. They have gotten thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars from me and then they can resell my car and do that to somebody else, so they get tons of money from a bunch of people with only one car. They did this on purpose, that is what really bothers me. Is there anything I can do?

Ok so here's where we got an auto loan from this horrible company... March 11, 2016 someone hit my husband and totaled his truck... went to the dealership to buy a new truck that we weren't prepared for at all. We've been doing credit repair to buy a house so this wasn't in the plan... so we punched a 2014 Dodge Ram and Prestige was the one who finally financed us. It took almost 45 whole days for them to close the deal on the loan back and forth with this girl who wanted everything besides blood from us. Our first payment was due April 24th 2016. Today is the 28th. I hadn't received any information on where or how I was supposed to pay for our truck until the 25th when I received a pamphlet for the contact information to them. Called and immediately was told our loan was in default and I was like "are you kidding me", "no your payment was due yesterday on the 24th and you're in default..."

How in the hell is that even possible. I was told that "we were nice enough to loan you the m oney to purchase the truck that's how..." I was like "I'm not sure how you act in Utah but here people don't treat people like that." I talked with the supervisor who in turn said "I'm sorry I can't help you. You're in default of your loan and in breach of contract." Today April 28 I got an email. Here's the fun part... "What are your intentions for this month's payment? You have called in several times to get the account information but we have yet to secure payment. Please keep in mind this is a simple interest loan you accrue interest daily. The longer you hold this out the more time and money you are adding to the loan. Please advise. Landon **, Account Manager".

Here's my response... "Not sure who you think you are, I am aware of what is owed. We get paid tomorrow. Stop sending me threatening emails. Thanks!!" "Your account is in full default. This is NOT a pick when you want to pay loan. You and Jason signed a contract that stated that you would be making payments on or before the 24th of the month. The 29th is NOT before the 24th. This is a strict second chance finance loan. Nothing in my email was threatening to you. You are in full default of your loan."

Within minutes received another email. "I am not sure why you are so upset. You are the one who is in default on their loan. You have called in numerous times and have claimed that you are going to be going online and making the payment and have yet to complete what you have said that you are going to do. How can I contact ** to let him know that the loan that is in his name is in default and going to be affecting him just the same. Are you sure that this is the path that you want to start down?" I stated this conversation was over and to have a good evening and I got this response: "I will go ahead and note that you are not willing to secure your account. We will be contacting Jason as he is the primary on the loan. We will be letting him know that you are in default on your first payment. The account will remain in active collections. Have a great evening."

Really what in the world... I sent a responding email and said my husband is right here go ahead and call him... never called him. Someone needs to stop this. I've got many to pay but not going to deal with this kind of crap for too long. I didn't want to buy a truck it was forced upon us and we just don't finance things. We didn't even have bad credit just not enough to have a high score. Ridiculous. Oh and the subject for the email was "WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO ACCOMPLISH". WTF??? Stay away from these crooks. I haven't even got make my first payment and this is happening. This should be fun. I'm down the lawsuit!!!

Back in 2011 I was one year into a divorce and my ex had all but destroyed my credit rating. I desperately needed a car and the only company that would loan me money was Prestige Financial. Due to the severity of my situation at the time, I reluctantly agreed to 60 payments of $389.00 and 19% interest; Big mistake. I set up my payments to be due on the 23rd of each month with no grace period. On the 5th of the following month is when the harassment started. They told me the due date was the 4th of every month and never agreed to the 23rd. I tried my best to convince them that they were incorrect, but they refused to listen. I'm 55 payments in and the harassing letters, texts, calls and emails have never stopped.

On one occasion they fired off 2 phone calls, 3 text messages, 2 emails and 2 voice messages all at the same time! I was at an important meeting when my phone blasted 12 notification sounds in a row like a winning slot machine. Back in 2014 I was laid off from my tech job at L3; needless to say I was in a financial hardship, but I always managed to make my payment even if it was a few days into the next month. Towards the end of the year things got really bad and I missed an entire month and a half, but get this... After 45 days and endless threats and harassment, I made an agreement to make two payments in a 30-day period because I had accepted a new job and had money to pay.

The first payment was completed in accordance to the agreement I had made at the beginning of the month, but the calls, texts and emails never let up. The due date for payment number two was one day away when I got a call from Marlene ** to confirm that I would drop the money off by 5:00 pm on Friday. When she called... for the third time I was on a stepladder painting my ceiling. I had spoken to this woman on several occasions and other than the fact that she was annoying as hell, I never got short with her.

She asked if I would have the payment by 5:00 pm and I replied (in an annoyed tone) "YES!" Right after I said yes, I dropped the paint roller and my phone onto the carpet. Right as the phone hit the floor I shouted ** at the top of my lungs. Long story short I dropped the payment off as promised on time. Sunday morning I get a knock on the door. In my driveway are two tow truck drivers and my car is attached to said tow truck. I protested, showed the two troglodytes my payment receipts, but they refused to release my car.

After arguing with these two pieces of garbage, I got their manager on the phone. After several minutes on the phone with a guy named Brandon **, I realized I was wasting my breath. I assured this fine gentleman I had paid, even produced confirmation numbers, but he refused to hear me. Mr. ** referred to me as a "** deadbeat loser" and to "pay my ** car payment on time. It took 3 weeks and $1200.00 to get my car back from Idaho, but the reason my car was unlawfully repossessed was because I hurt Marlene **'s feelings.

Even though I was in the wrong and had to rent a car for three weeks, Marlene ** was let go from her position. To wrap this up... I have made 55 out of 60 payments, but I still owe $8,000.00 due to imaginary interest and late penalties. No matter what your credit or life situation is DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR THROUGH THESE PEOPLE. They will lie to you, harass you non-stop for years, as ridiculous penalties and interest, harass your friends and family when they can't get a hold of you and worst of all, repossess your car when you hurt their feelings. Avoid Prestige Financial at all costs and if you are one of their victims, I see a huge class action lawsuit in the near future. PRESTIGE FINANCIAL WILL PAY FOR THEIR CRIMES AND HOPEFULLY PAY A LOT OF US BACK.

This company for certain has been very difficult to deal with over the last 3 years. Approximately 3 years ago my car broke down and needed to be fixed and it would cost approximately $2,500 to fix it and the Blue Book value was only around $6,000. I had previously been discharged from bankruptcy a few months prior and credit was not good. I didn't have a down payment and worked 2 jobs. I tried walking, taking bus, etc but I really needed a car! I went to a local dealership that was reputable and advertised they could help anyone get a car. They did get me a car but unfortunately it was a 2007 Cadillac with no warranty and financed through Prestige Financial Services. I had no idea about Prestige at the time and trusted the dealership.

The car was purchased for $19,000 and at the time I was told by the dealership that this was the only car I could get financed. Now looking back I realize how stupid this was and that the dealership took me for a sucker. I just purchased a brand new car for $19,000 under full warranty so obviously the dealership was not honest. I was desperate and trusted them. Well it has been very unpleasant experience dealing with Prestige and that is being generous on my part. I realize that they are dealing with bad credit customers but come on! They have no grace period which is part of the problem but certainly not the only problem.

During the 3 years I was with them I lost my job and had car problems with the Cadillac etc. Never once did I skip a payment. According to them though I breached my loan multiple times, etc. They send you letters and threats if you are more than a couple days late. The letter says "you breached your loan and are under supervision and possibly your car may be repossessed." They text, call, email and call references. Okay, I get it. But is the letters necessary? Especially if you are only 2 or 3 days late? Come on!

Now here is my other problem with them. The interest they charge is insane! My car was purchased for $19,0000 which I paid for 3 years a payment of $465.00. I paid $16,740 and my payoff was $14,300. So basically after paying $465.00 for 3 years only $2,440 was applied to the principal and $14,300 was interest. That my friend is nothing more than robbery! Truly, there ought to be a law against charging people in bind that much interest. I understand higher interest but that seriously is robbery.

Lastly, they boast about if you participate in their automatic withdrawal of payments from your checking they will reduce the interest. I did TRY to participate in this but was immediately cut off? The first month went okay but the second month, they tried taking the payment shortly after midnight and my bank did not post it until 6:30am on the day that the payment was due. They immediately terminated me from the program never to be reinstated and never listening to my reason. So much for that. Also, if you attempt to use a checking account or a credit card wherein there is any problem, they will never accept it again and you can't make payments online anymore. Even if your credit card has plenty of funds to cover your payment you cannot use it. You have to make a Western Union payment of $25 to $50. Not to mention that even if you can use your credit card to make the payment, the charge another $10 for doing so.

Overall, here is my advice. If you are unfortunate enough to get stuck with this company. Go along with them for maybe a year and let it only be a year. During that year, try everything you can to get your credit score up and then go to a reputable dealership in your area (do your research) and get out of the loan! Whatever deal they make with you will be nothing compared to the money you will lose with Prestige and not to mention the constant headache! Good luck!

So I had credit problems a while ago and that's my mistake. I went to go look at a car which was 8 grand above blue book value or NADA. I was in a bad spot so I had no other choice. I even put some money down. Loan came out to be about 13,000. So fast forward 2 years balance still says I owe 10,800. I have requested statements to know where my money is being applied to and how. It's a day to day interest loan, but with them they charge you different amounts of interest per day instead of a fixed amount of maybe 7.50.

I have had to threaten them with lawyers and legal counsel to get my loan to the correct amount (because sometimes they just add money to your loan whenever). And I'm not making this stuff up just to bash them. I want people to know what they're getting into. If a dealer offers some second hand financing, buy a junk car for a year, build that credit and get into a better loan. The dealer screwed me, and so has the finance company. And when you do need to let's say your account manage, or have a formal complaint, or want to even talk to customer service the first person that calls you is the "vice president" of collections. This company is a joke to say the least, and people can bash me saying I should do better with money. Everyone gets into difficult situations, and there's nobody there to help. In 2012, February, my husband and I bought a car from a dealership in Michigan. It was a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan for 13,500. We had just filed for bankruptcy due to my husband's open heart surgery and my ovarian and cervical cancers - all without insurance. At the time, I was the breadwinner in our family and I made just under 100k/year. For the next two years, we made payments every single month for the amount of 542.42.

In March 2015, I lost my job to a permanent layoff. I immediately called Prestige to see if we could refinance (as they told us we could when we bought it) or if we could do something to make the payments lower - even if it meant our loan would be extended. They said no. No refinance, no lower payments. Pay up now or we will "pursue further action". It got to the point we were three months behind on payments when finally, they said we could get on the "Fresh Start" program. This involved making full payments over the course of a month for 5 months. We completed that program in December of 2015.

I'd just like to say that going from making 100k/year to pulling in right around 1600/month will wreak some havoc on your finances. I do not hold Prestige Financial accountable for this - but I do hold them accountable for not being honest at the onset of the loan. Making those payments 5 months in a row of 542.42 plus $10.00 for each payment (broken up over several payments throughout the month, costing us a minimum of $40 extra dollars/mo) was extremely hard for us.

Over Christmas, my husband who is now working full time at a factory had a mandatory layoff, which meant for three weeks, we did not get a paycheck for him. I'm self-employed and typically bring in about 400/week. Again - all of this was explained in detail to CrystalLynn, our new "account manager". Therefore, after the Fresh Start program was complete, January brought a fresh set of problems. CrystalLynn started texting and calling as she always does multiple times every month, but this time she got even nastier. I responded to her texts every time - but she was accusing me of ignoring her. I talk to her on the phone and she says "I'm sick of you ignoring us, Shannon." I again explained the situation - and told her I could pay the 542.42 plus the 10.00 Western Union fee on February 5, 2016. She said, "Absolutely not." She copped a major attitude and passed me to her "Supervisor".

The supervisor then instructed me to go get a payday loan to pay the payment this month. I told him I wasn't comfortable with doing that. He insisted. He insisted so heavily that he demanded that I do this a good 9 times in the span of about 5 minutes. I finally asked for his supervisor. That supervisor sat there, not saying a word as I explained what was going on and let him know I could make the payment on February 5, 2016. As I was explaining it, I could hear the sound from a Candy Crush game in the background. He was literally playing Candy Crush on his phone as I'm appealing to him to help us out and work it around so we could pay the payment on the 5th. Instead of helping us, he said "Your help is over. We're going to add on your extra finance charges to be due now. You now owe us 1242.52, due by January 30, 2016. If you can't pay it, we'll be pursuing further action." Then he hung up on me.

So last night, my husband gets a text that said: "Jason, I need you to understand the importance of you calling me back. We just extended 3 months on the Caravan to catch you up and now Shannon is not making the payment again. I need to speak with you or management is going to pull this loan and proceed into the collection process." In that text, she is trying to pit my husband and I against each other. I had talked to her. She knew I had talked to her and now she's trying to go around me to my husband like he magically has a stow of cash I'm not aware of.

So here we are. It's time we use all this information we have to expose the predatory practices of this company. My original loan was for 13,500. I now owe over 19k, which is about 10k more than blue book value of the car. You can reach me at ** if you're interested in pursuing this class action suit. I will find the attorney able to do it and we'll get this done.

We filed bankruptcy and needed a car. It had to be a Toyota or a Nissan. We purchased a Mission. Borrowed 14,500. 3 years later, we owe 13,300. How could this be? The first year we had automatic withdrawal. Then they tell me we had 3 returned payments. How could that be when the money came out of our account on the 15th of every month?? So we could no longer have auto withdrawal. Now, unless I write a check or money order and mail it, there is a ten dollar fee to make the payment!!! I'm so upside down on the loan nobody would touch it for a trade in. I'm so sick of Prestige I could SCREAM!!

I had a really nice account manager, however, she is no longer with the company. I guess she got fired for being nice!! I get Social Security and I get paid on the fourth Wednesday of the month. So the date is different every month. I got a new debit card so they can't just take the money without authorization. My son was driving the car, had an accident when we found out he wasn't a covered driver. The car is repairable but not drivable until we get the parts. I told them the car was not running and I need a break on my payment this month. I haven't heard back from them. I don't think this car is ever going to get paid for!! I will make the payments car running it not. Otherwise it'll be a repo and lawsuit and then garnishment of my husband's check. We can't have that on our already bad credit. Stay far far away from Prestige!!!

I had no clue it would be a nightmare later with them. First year made payments on time, was told after year we could trade in. Well we tried and that when all started...

We owe more than car worth. No one and I mean no will touch that car as trade in. We financed it at or was suppose be like 8-9,000. Well we owe 13,000 on car after 3 years now, maybe about 500 dollars has went to car... Payments don't go, don't bring any down? Seems go up. We get phone calls 5 days before due. If not payed on exact date harassment starts, texting, calling all hours even at work. I got sick unexpectedly and had to have surgery -- emergency surgery to say. They knew, told them about it, couldn't make that month's payment. My husband has talk to several people and they still call every day or text as if we didn't even call them??? I am so fed up. They are a sorry bunch. I would never have even gotten that car if I would have known what I know now!!! Well the finance company was/is Prestige Financial--if you hear that name RUN as fast as you can to another dealership that does NOT use them. They are criminals. We had a 66-month term loan, and of course we had a few late payments over the 5 1/2 years which by the way now is going on year 8. Well they have told me because of these late payments the fees have built up and just keep going & going & going. I have made 79 payments. YES THAT'S RIGHT 79 payments & there is still a $2900 balance.

Do the math. 66 Payments x $406= $26,796 79 x $406 = $32074! We financed $14,500. So we have paid $5278 extra in fees and still owe $2890. That's just the math. When you're about 3 days from your due date the texts, emails & phone calls start coming- if you don't answer immediately or days late they threaten you with "Refusal to pay" and "You have broken your contract". I have about had it with this company- if there is anyone out there with advice on how to squash this and beat a corporation at their bullying tactics let me know. I financed my car with them in December of 2013 for around $19000 something. This October of 2015 and I still owe over $17000. Every month before payment was due they would start calling and texting wanting me to secure my dodge payment with my bank account before my money was even direct deposited in there. They would harass and badger me until I gave them my bank account number just to get them to quit calling me. One day I told them I was not going to give them my account number because I was not sure when my paycheck would be deposited because of the holiday and they harassed me until I finally gave it them. My check was not there on that day so my account was overdrawn which put overdraft fees and extra fees on my bank account. Now I am behind about 6 payments or so because I cannot get them to send me back my overdraft fees.

They will text me asking about the payment on a car I don't even have (wrong car) so I requested a copy of my contract. 3 months later they finally sent me a contract. In the paperwork it says something about a van. I did not get a van. The price was really jacked up and they added some kind of insurance that I didn't request. Last week they sent me a text message asking me what I could realistically afford each month and I told them $350. So they send back a text message saying that I could pay $467.14 each month. But my account would still be delinquent and interest would still be added.

If I paved 5 or 6 payments each month then they would take my late payments and put them on the end of the note which would extend it past the 7 years I already have it financed at. Just so upset and frustrated with this stupid company. I have a serious medical condition and I told them this. They just keep on harassing me and then they said I don't communicate with them. They need to communicate better with each other so they know who is saying what. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE CROOKS.

Very seldom do you actually pay your vehicle off in the allotted time and end up paying up to twice more than the original value of the vehicle. They seem to prey on people going through unfortunate circumstances. They also cater to people who have just filed bankruptcy because they know you cannot file again for 10 years and they have up to that time to garnish your wages and harass you.

Got a vehicle from Ohio finance through Prestige Financial Services. The salesperson was really nice, so she said "we specialize in helping people with bankruptcy." So I said "how is that," she said "we will get you in a vehicle no matter if your bankruptcy is still pending." - which my bankruptcy had ended. She found a car for me and she said once I get the car, only keep it for 2 years then bring it back for a better and newer model. I thought that was good - get my credit back up and a nice car to drive. That was a year ago 2014. I found out after a year that I was only paying the interest on the car, which that was never said to me or put in my contract. So I put down $1500 on a 2009 Honda Accord. My monthly payment is $415.00. The cost of the car is $16,998.

As of today 09/22/2015 I am still owing $15,981. Prestige has only been putting what they want toward the principal and the interest out of the $415.00 monthly payments. So I called them and ask why my payments are not showing on my credit report or why hasn't my balance went down since I have been making payments. They couldn't answer me at first. It took them weeks before I could get an answer, then I contacted Better Business Bureau, wrote a letter to them, then Prestige contacted me after they received the letter, then they said "your payments has been applied to your account, but you're only paying interest on the car." My credit still says I owe $15,981 after a year. I ask them to pick up the vehicle and they said they don't do that. I ask for a lower interest rate, they said they don't do that. I asked for refinance, they said they don't do that. I asked to make payments every two weeks, they said they don't do that.

Everything I ask for they said NO, so I stop paying them because I wanted them to pick up the car, but they said they was not picking up the car and that was not an option, "just pay us the money or get someone to take over your payments." First the payment is too high and they didn't want to assist me at all - everything was NO. I have gotten calls, text and emails every day since I told them to pick up their vehicle. Please if anyone is looking for a car please keep away from Prestige Financial Services because they are not here to help you, they only want your money. Unhappy customer.

Maybe I am just too naive but I just found out what kind of company I financed my car through. After some financial hardships I was able to turn in my car that was upside down for a loan with Prestige which gave me a car with a lower monthly payment. Like anyone who is going through or has recently gone through a life event and subsequent financial issues I just wanted to be treated with some respect and dignity. My car payment is 2 weeks late today and I just got a call from Brian and while we started off on a really good foot when I first got my loan, today was a completely different story. He called today and woke me up (I work rotating shifts as a nurse) and demanded to know when I will pay. Half asleep and not sure what day it was I stammered and stated I didn't know but was going to pay it soon. He then said that wasn't good enough and said he was notating my account as a "refusal to pay".

After some more snarky remarks I asked to speak with someone else. This lady I was transferred to was 10x worse and made some very disparaging remarks. It was like I borrowed money from them personally. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told I didn't need to. When she finally transferred me the man I was transferred to apologized and then said "but your account is late.... how are you going to handle this?" I just broke down in tears and sobbed uncontrollably thinking about all the people out there who are in my position or worse and get treated like this by a company you are working with. When I said that to the woman I was initially transferred to I was told we aren't working together... I just owe them money.

When I found this review page my heart just went out to everyone who is being made to feel worse by a company who is supported by them. I am a single mom with a hour commute to work..... of course I'm going to make every possible effort to pay my car payment. This company "works with" people with financial difficulties.... and they will make sure you know you are at their mercy. I understand when this is your client base it can be tiring hearing excuses but most people feel bad enough about their situation, they don't need to be treated like that. At least this is a huge motivation to keep working on my finances so I can deal with a company who gets customers by treating people well and not a company that preys on desperation.

Now I had towering fees, payment and storage fees. At the high rate of $385 per month for a 2006, I just let it go. 21% interest left me with more owed than the car was worth. Now they are taking $400 a month from my work checks. That leaves me 1,200 a month to support my family. They will not make me a deal to lower it until I pay $1200. I went with this company after my divorce because my credit took a hit & thought it would be an bonus advantage to get a "rate reduction" of .5% every quarter with on time payments & insurance. The rate reduction never changes your payment, but is supposed to be applied directly to your account on the 4th month, thus reducing your principal balance.

I kept both for the time of the loan, yet I thought it was a little weird that I could never see how my payments were being posted or if the rate reduction was ever really happening. You never receive statements, nor can you see anything beyond basic account information with an online account access. I requested a detailed account statement, which to my surprise showed the rate reductions didn't always happen or if they did they happen 5-6 months late which resulted in my principal balance being drastically more than it should have been, had the rate reductions been happening like they should have been, to the tune of about $700. I spoke to several departments and reps trying to get it rectified. Yet customer service or any rep refused to fix or adjust the rate reductions to what they should have been, stating that it was an "incentive," not mandatory.

So I decided to refinance, since the "advantage of a rate reduction" was really not the case. I made another large payment to bring my principal balance down. Called for payoff after the payment was supposedly posted, then was advised I couldn't get an updated payoff for the account until after 7-10 days!!! Really? So now, Prestige Financial gets to charge more daily interest until the account reflects an accurate balance & payoff! Total rip-off. They are super-shady and if you don't ask, they certainly aren't going to tell you that they aren't being honest. Upset I wasted 2 years with them before I realized. Don't make the same mistake as me. Choose another lender.

It makes me sad to see all these negative reviews of PFS. I've never had any issues with Prestige. I make a payment every two weeks, making sure that it is before (or on) the due date - there is no grace period with this company and you WILL be marked as in default if your payment isn't received on the due date. I just received a notice yesterday that my interest rate was reduced because I participate in the Rate Reduction Program - every 3 months of on-time payments lowers your interest rate. The few times I have needed to contact customer support, my issues were resolved quickly and professionally - I had been receiving notices that my car insurance had lapsed, but PFS just didn't know it had been renewed. They called the insurance company and everything was fine. Basically, do what you're supposed to do (pay your bills!) and you shouldn't have any problems at all.

I have been with Prestige for 3 years and I thought I had a good relationship with my account mgr. My car continued to go in and out the shop. So I called to let them know that my car was at Dallas Dodge. It has been for 3 weeks due to the motor and I will be late. I will pay $1146.00 for 2 months on Friday. I was told by Jerome and his mgr Travis okay. That was on a Tuesday. I got my car out of the shop on Wed. It was repo on Thursday. When I called them they said they thought I was hiding the car. I gave them the number to the shop and was told I can get the car back. I said "No just let me get my things." It has been 2 weeks now and they are still calling trying to work something out with me to keep the car but it's too late. I have another car now.

Prestige Payment Systems contacted me about processing my credit cards. They assured me could save me 30% on my fees. They promise Credit of $522 on my account once I signed up with them, %1 rate. Hey this is a good deal. Sales person send you an electronic contract to sign up with e signature required. I told them that I don't want a so many years contract. Since my previous account didn't have one, I could cancel at any time. He said it's ok. But they never told me there is 4 years contract on my equipment. They never told me there is $87 equipment lease plus $10.20 handling fee for 4 years. Total of $4665.60 for equipment. Who is crazy enough to pay $ 46650.60 for equipment that it cost only $500 max? And that was a promise $522 credit on my account for equipment on first place that after 6 months still there is no credit deposited to my account, however its listed in the contract.

They say %1 rate but they adding so many interchange fee, Service fee, and just fee you will ending up %2.8 rate for most of transaction was Visa debit sales. So confusing statement. When I called today to tell them that I want to cancel my account since I had shut down my business and no longer doing business, they told me, "No you have 4 years contract and you cannot cancel". I said, “No way I have such a contract”. They said, "Yes here is your signed contract". They emailed me. I was shocked that I have my signature everywhere in contract. Since I have grown up in different country, my handwriting is not as smooth as supposed to be and I know it as fact, saying that all my signature are different from each other. Not 2 of them are exact same. But surprisingly all signature was exactly same, maybe little bit smaller or bigger but all are same. Since it was e-signature they copy it in different place. Instead of sign here or initial here for so many year contract, sign here for equipment lease, sign here for such rate.

They instantly approved my loan. Took the car and two days later, it was pure hell from there. They found every excuse NOT to approve the loan, I jumped through all their hoops and had to return the car two weeks later. I am pissed.

I've paid on time like "clock work" for 3 years..... according to Prestige. Why is it that they continue to call... text.... and email me to ask me for my payment, one to three days prior to each due date, for the past three years? It's harassment.

I purchased my car from Toyota of Louisville. In Nov 2011. They told me they had got me approved although I was still in a chapter 7 bankruptcy. They sold me a 2007 scion and financed it with prestige. The car was financed for 72 months @ 340.01. My rate was almost 20 percent. I financed right at 13,500. I got my payoff 3 mos. ago it was 10,300. I called 2 weeks ago now it's 11,111. I asked my account rep with prestige she said it was because I had been a few days late the past few mos. I am nearly 6k upside down. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions. I can't find a lender that will refinance because it's 8 yrs old. My advice is stay away from prestige.

I bought a car in 2008 right after bankruptcy. At that time, I was still making good money. I lost that job in 2009, kept up with the car payments throughout unemployment and school. I tried to work with Prestige on my car loan. I kept getting the runaround. I tried to pay off the car and that wanted a huge amount. I bought the car for 14.000. I have paid over 20.000 as of now. A few days after we tried to pay the car off, they started reporting to credit agencies late payments that had never been there before. These people are crooked and doing illegal strategy to get more money. So much more to this story, not enough room to tell it all. I wish I had someone to help me fight these people.

I have never been happier with the way the customer support staff has always treated me. If I ever have a problem with a payment I know that my case manager will always be able to come up with a great solution. I know that I will work with Prestige again. My hubby needs a new car and I wouldn't have a problem if Prestige financed us again. Hey I know that I'm the one who messed up my credit and I have to be accountable for that. So I am happy that this company does give people a chance to rebuild the credit and each month I have a positive credit report. Thanks to Prestige.

I am currently 22 days late on my account and called to move a payment out one more week. Was questioned rudely about maybe I shouldn't have this car because it appears I cannot afford it. I then called back and spoke with a supervisor named Lyndsey and she continued the harassment. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

Otherwise I would of gone to court and get it cleared up. Now they put a judgement and take 20%-25% out. I am a single mother. Just horrible. Insurance paid by Kelly blue book but they are telling me I owe $9000.00 for CRV 2003. I Just wanna cry.
