Our refinance with J.G. Wentworth was a great experience. Jason ** was exceptional at making the process smooth and painless. I really liked how quickly everything was done and how easy they made it for us to upload documents and keep us informed during the entire process.

We refinanced our home using J.G. Wentworth. They sent us the coupons for payment and the first one for about $2400 was due the first week of January. We made the payment through our back on 12/27, we sent $3000. By late January we received a call from them inquiring about the payment. I advised that the payment had been made. They said that it was never received, even though we had confirmation from our bank that the funds had been collected and were out of our account.

I imagine there is enough stress already when a homeowner chooses to refinance - for whatever reason. Laura's guidance and availability was very much appreciated in this case. Always friendly, she also gave direct answers and provided options when needed. Rosemary ** was also very helpful and available. I would say that both went out of their way to help me along, but my guess is - that's how they do their jobs all the time. Thanks again!

This is the second time we used J.G. Wentworth for refinancing a loan. Michael ** was the person we called when we wanted to secure more funds for remodeling our home. He is a great resource especially if you need help in the decision process, he is patient and knowledgeable with the loan process. We were able to secure the funds in less than 30 days so we can now get started on our project. Thank you Michael, we really appreciate everything you did for us.

Although the company of JGW was helpful in getting us a loan and our customer service reps were helpful, our loan was sold to PennyMac before our first payment was even due. If I had known this beforehand I would have shopped around for a different lender. I have read nothing but bad reviews about PennyMac and hopefully it will get sold again to someone else. I'm hoping we have a better experience with PennyMac than other people, but definitely worried.

I chose to use J.G. Wentworth through the Costco executive level offers. Laura ** was our agent. She was always available by phone or email. She made it SO easy and personal. I could not be happier. We have refinanced one other time with a different company but the experience with J.G. Wentworth was so much better. There were a couple snafus with our title because of the original filing. The staff really helped me walk through fixing it. I couldn't be happier.

I was scammed by the company and its representative (Frederic ** NMLS #**) when I was closing on the property purchase. I was promised (in written form) a discount points match. Representative stated in written form that their underwriter should have not problem matching an offer or their competitor. The company added a lock extension to my closing disclosure that I never agreed to. I was promised an adjustment/credit on the closing disclosure. The company stated on the closing disclosure that the credit issued by a seller was to cover the lock extension when-in-fact the company was made very clear several days prior to closing date by me, my attorney, and my real estate agent that the money was intended for repairs on the property in order to comply with the signed contract.

Just refinanced the home with J.G. Wentworth. Craig ** at JGW was great. Fast to answer emails, and quick about returning phone calls. He explains everything. Hard to imagine a good experience working a mortgage, but Craig made it positive, quick, and painless. Worked out a better monthly payment, and better interest. Thanks!

I had an awesome experience working with Magali ** our loan officer. She was very professional and polite. She was always there for us to answer questions and keep us informed. When I called and she could not answer, she would always call right back, even on vacation. If things were going slowly or not at all Magali was right on it and if she needed help for higher up she did not hesitate to get it. We were looking to refinance our house with a small cash out to renovate the kitchen, we got pricing from 2 companies and while JG Wentworth interest was slightly higher their closing costs were much lower so we decided to go with JG Wentworth. It was determined that we would have no issue as long as the house appraised between 146K and 150K which did not worry me as based on the comp set of like size and condition we would appraise between 155K and 175K. I was quite surprised when the appraisal was complete and the house appraised for only 144K, I was sent new loan documents that addressed this issue by adding points into our mortgage.

I was extremely satisfied in working with Jesse. He helped with what can be a complicated and exhausting process to go as smooth as possible and most importantly got the job done even when we encountered roadblocks. I would absolutely recommend him to a friend!

I have used automatic payment from my bank for years and never had a problem with them being received and cashed by the 15th. Last month, my bank sent the payment on the 12th and I have their proof of mailing - but it was not cashed until the 27th. And I get stuck with the late fee. Seems wrong.

I tried to use J.G. Wentworth to secure a home loan; loan officer told me everything was going good; Loan looked great; my credit was awesome. 11 days before the closing my realtor told me the loan officer told her the loan couldn't be done. Wasted $450 on an appraisal. I tried so hard to communicate with the loan officer; his supervisor; even wrote a letter to corporate and no one had the decency to respond. Customer service is definitely lacking; more importantly there is absolutely no care for the client. Undoubtedly the worst experience of my life.

Craig ** from J.G. Wentworth has been outstanding throughout the entire home loan application process. He has been extremely proactive and demonstrated great initiative while handling my case. He made himself available to resolve issues and answer questions on the weekends and way past normal working hours. He went as far as resolving issues remotely while on family vacations. I was highly impressed by his professionalism and extremely pleased by the results of this business transaction as I feel I could not have obtained a better deal by any other lender. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with our lender, J.G. Wentworth, and more specifically our loan officer, Magali **. She was so helpful from the very beginning, and she helped us through three different loan applications, and even helped our mother with her purchase of a condo. We worked together for several weeks, and she even made herself available on some evenings, which we have never had happen with other lenders. Magali was dependable, patient, and so reliable. We really felt she wanted us to have a very positive experience with our home purchase, and she cared. Her team also helped out if she wasn't available, and went above and beyond to get us in our home as soon as possible. We had a very good experience with J.G. Wentworth and our loan officer, Magali, is exceptional.

VA Refinance. Laura and her team were awesome because they answered questions quickly and handled the closing professionally. Laura helped me to understand every step of the process and how to compare closing costs with different lenders so I could make an informed decision. Would recommend to a friend.

Glenn ** with JG Wentworth Home Lending was very helpful in obtaining a loan offer and in comparing my the loan offers I received. I was a bit overwhelmed with the ways that these offers differed and my options, and Glenn was always there to explain. The rate that JGW offered was simply unbeatable. Although another loan company seemed faster and somewhat more fluid, I didn't feel that JGW was lacking in any way. We closed last week and the final amounts were even a bit lower than the estimates! Super satisfied and would recommend this lender and Glenn specifically.

Our loan officer Bob ** was wonderful! He responded to all of our questions immediately. The document upload system made the process streamlined and efficient. If we had any concerns they were addressed quickly and Bob was there for us every step of the way. We will be calling Bob in the future when we need our next home loan!

This is the 3rd time I have used JGW & Laura **. Each time I called Laura, she was efficient in getting my loan going and keeping me informed each step of the way. I found out later she did A LOT behind the scenes that I wasn't even aware of to minimize the work on my part. I work in the insurance industry and deal with lots of clients buying new homes and having to interact with their mortgage company. I hear all the problems and delays they have incurred. I can say that not 1 time have I ever had any delays because of JGW or Laura. If you are looking for what I would consider the best from my personal experience, I would only call Laura ** at JG Wentworth Home Lending.

I recently went through JG Wentworth Home Lending to refinance my home. I was connected with Jimmy ** and I was happy with his service. Mr. ** answered all my questions, responded to my emails promptly, and made sure I understood the next step. Mr. ** is an asset to JG Wentworth Home Lending due to the service he provides to his clients.

I had a HORRIBLE experience dealing with this company. They dragged their feet and I ended up having to pay for an extension for a delay that was their fault. The Loan Processor has been MIA for most of the process and the Loan Officer's communication was very poor and lacked professionalism. When I asked to speak with the "Team Leader", calls and emails went unanswered. When I did get in touch with him, he knew we were in the 11th Hour and the fees that attached at the end, we would take it because the interest rate had gone up... Basically, they took advantage of us and charged unnecessary fees, knowing that the interest rate had gone up. They don't care and they treat customers terribly. I have no idea where they get their "excellent" reviews from Lending Tree, which is what I based on our decision on. I would NEVER use them again.

We are so thankful for the refi we just completed with J.G Wentworth, but with Annmarie **, our loan officer, in particular. We did a refi a couple years ago with Wells Fargo and they never communicated, and it took 3 months. This refi only took 3 weeks and Annmarie called us personally at least 4 times to explain things and see if we had any questions. I have such a great experience with Annmarie **, I have already referred someone else to her. Keep up the good work.

Jesse was extremely helpful throughout the process. I submitted a request online for info on mortgage and I received a call from Jesse within one minute. He walked me through all the different options and helped understand the entire process and costs involved very thoroughly and patiently. He then helped with understand his quote and also the quotes from other lenders and explained why his quote was superior. He followed up with us every step of the way until the process was complete. He made himself available based on my schedule; even if it was 10 pm. All in all it was a very pleasant experience working with Jesse and I would encourage future home buyers. I work with Jesse and I urge his bosses to give him a raise!

My loan officer was Michael **. He handled a dual re-financing for me. Michael was very knowledgeable and professional in his dealings with me. He kept me apprised as the re-financing progressed. He always returned emails or phone calls very promptly. I would highly recommend him for one's financing needs.

When shopping for a mortgage refi this past November, I was in an undesirable conversation with a loan broker and decided to try LendingTree on the side. I quickly regretted that decision too, because my phone and email started erupt with lenders. But I took a chance on one email from Jesse ** at JG Wentworth mainly because Bankrate ranked JGW very high.

I needed to refinance. I put out some info requests online. All the replies were automated except for Tim. I called him back. He never made me feel bad about my situation. I always felt that he was in my corner. I was able to get the whole refinance done in about 3 weeks. He was professional and respectful. I would do business with him again.

Our loan officer did not deliver on multiple promises. He has tried to blame both myself and the notary that was sent to our house to sign our loan for the issues. I would not recommend working with Jon ** from JG Wentworth.

Mr. Shayar ** was exceptional. He listen to my needs and my wishes and Then he delivered above and beyond my greatest expectation. I want to lower my interest and get cash out of the property. He deliver: from 8.625 to 4.00%, Cash 31,000.00 then he was able to pay off my Credit Card Balance 3,4000.00 and paid off another loan 11,000.00. So you see he exceed my expectation. He is a credit to the JG Wentworth organization.

I have financed dozens of properties over 40 years - as a lender AND borrower. $20,000 second TD's to $13.5 million HUD apartment loans. JG Wentworth is my second worst financing experience. The loan officer was competent and communicated well, but the underlying staff was a disaster! Incompetent processing; lost documents, repeated faxes and emails, inability to understand the written word, failure to give complete detail on documents requested. Underwriting couldn't see the forest, because there were too many trees in the way. Almost six weeks from initial contact to loan doc's. Their errors/lack of knowledge cost me 1/8th percent on rate and 1/8th point loan fee EXTRA! They made me create phantom taxable income in order to qualify for underwriting. Overall, just a horrible experience. I did a subsequent cash-out refinance loan with another lender and we FUNDED 23 days after application.

In late September I started the process of refinancing our mortgage. I submitted inquiries to three major home finance companies and eventually said no to all three mainly because they were not interested in my needs but more so in meeting their quotas. One actually got upset with me when I said "no" to his offer. I had read good things about J. G. Wentworth and reached out to them expecting more of the same treatment. Boy was I wrong. Within minutes of me hitting the send button the phone rang and I was connected to Michael **. Mike listened to my request, offered suggestions but most of all he put me at ease. Let me add that I was with Delta Air Lines Corporate Customer Care for over 30 years. I know when someone has my best interest at heart and I also know when someone is just putting in their 8 hours.

PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE. I now know the home buying process is very overwhelming. I cannot rave enough about Adam **! I did not think my loan agent would play such a huge role. I was skeptic about using an online lender. Adam was committed to my home search. He was available around the clock. My real estate deal went through on a Monday night at 11PM. Adam was patient and took the time to explain every detail (more than once, if I asked) of getting through the loan process. Worked with Andy on a refinance cash out loan and all the details and transactions went as described in the time frame. He answered all my questions, in a timely manner, did not pressure in any way my loan, (like the other big loan companies did when we started to look for a loan just to get a rate plus many call backs 3 to 4 a day ugh), no extra emails to pressure sales and a .375% lower with no extra points like the others wanted, and even got a discount by using my Costco membership, all around best service you could ask for. Refinancing is NO fun unless you randomly find a guy like Mike ** to handle it for you! I had tried a year earlier to get refinanced, but my credit/debt stood in the way. I took a year to pay some things off, clean things up, figuring I'd try again later. I thought the simple solution would be to go with the bank who already held my mortgage (BofA), since they had extended me an offer to "let us help you take advantage of historically low rates." So, I started the process in January with BofA, lots of promises and smiles up front, then... nothing but headaches, miscommunications, duplicate requests for same documentation, multiple people contacting me who seemingly had NO idea what their counterpart had told me, slamming my credit score, claiming they were "doing the best that could be done anywhere" with my credit story. All this was despite having paid on time for YEARS and having a ton of equity in our home.

The paperwork was handled either online or through a notary that came to my house, so that was very convenient. Overall, I'm happy with the experience.

We have been trying to get JG Wentworth to pay on both our lots that they financed in February 17. I have logged 26 hours dealing with the call center trying to get this accomplished. But alas again the tax people here in Michigan have put a lien on our home. 26 hours on the phone is a long time, trying to explain to some idiot what needs to be done, then having to do it again and again and again. Now again in September. Thus no more mortgage payments to JG. They will go into an escrow account until they turn the tax/insurance escrow account over to us. Then I know the taxes will be paid.

Tucker ** talks a good talk and sounds like he knows what he's doing but when you actually apply for the loan nobody there seems to know how to get it done. This was such a small easy loan on a tiny vacation house with someone who's had a job for 29 years, perfect credit and no debt! First we had to change the closing after they failed to get everything done in time so we were kind enough to extend it an entire week and they still couldn't get it done. Nobody noticed they forgot to ask for all these documents so the day before closing you're asking us for all these documents they should've asked for three weeks previous.

Interest rate was great and we closed at the rate that was initially quoted. Being a member of Costco was helpful. I found out that other lenders were playing a lot of games, trying to hide closing costs and higher interest rate by offering lower cash payouts. I did not have this problem with J.G. Wentworth. The process was smooth and Keith led me through the motion with patience. He was always available for assistance. We finalize the deal in less than one month. I will certainly use this lender again in the future.
