I was with Chase for a long time then I missed one payment and they rolled me over to Bayview. I thought they were a new mortgage company but when I wanted to refinance my mortgage, they said they don't do that. They made it clear that they're not a mortgage company, they're a debt collector. That was pretty crass but the reps that I talked to were decent and good. So, I’ve been paying them for a while now though no one explained to me what was going on with my mortgage.
Other than that, I've convinced them to stop calling me and over the last payment, I haven't heard from them. Giving me a call every day doesn't not do anything for me but frustrate me. And I always pay. I missed one payment in my whole time with Bayview and I called to say I was gonna miss it. But they sent in a document for me to do automatic withdrawals and I cannot do that because I get paid the second Wednesday of every month. So, each Wednesday is a different date. I also do my payments by the 15th of every month, almost always, and I’ve not been late.

Thanks for the review, Rita. We really appreciate you taking time to share your experience. Please let us know if there is ever anything else we can do. Best wishes!!!

I have my bill taken out automatically. I pay my taxes and send Bayview a receipt showing that. I've never had any problems, except when I closed my checking account. I had to change everything around there. I called and gave them all the information and they sent me a letter thanking me for it and said everything was all right. Other than that, it's been 100% good with them, so far, and they've treated me good. I'm happy with them.

We have our mortgage with Bayview on our rental property and I’m not really pleased with them. They’ve sent out letters saying that we are in danger of foreclosure. And they reiterated that I owe $54.42 in late charges, which I feel is unjustified, and for some reason, they’re not willing to forgive them. I don’t feel that I have late charges because I’ve always made my payments ahead of time. They claimed that they misapplied funds and they put it in escrow and then did all kinds of things and misapplied it. I’m inclined to send them the check for the 54.42 and tell them I’m really not happy with the way they have concluded their business. I’m frustrated with their lack of follow-through on this and their lack of courtesy on that. Also, I have spoken three times with three people who keep wanting me to set up monthly payments or programs through them, which I do not wish to do. They keep wanting me to do it multiple times a month.

Updated on 04/14/2020: Well it looks like another week going by and Bayview still has no response. It is really funny that something so simple in the eyes of three attorneys is taking this company weeks to get resolved with nothing being done. I would like to thank that 1284 people that have looked at my complaint and the hundred or so that have offered me their personal stories and help since I guess this is going to end up in Court since Bayview likes to drag its feet and do nothing. Again thanks for all the support that I have gotten here.
Updated on 03/28/2020: I left a previous post on Thursday and wanted to add information. I talked with a woman by the name of Pat ID Badge # ** from Bayview and the forms that she told me about that she was sending never showed up. The one positive is Cheryl ** of Bayview seems to be wanting to help. I believe that with their actions they have caused my son health matters and they just love to play games and waste your time. I am sitting on 2 Joint Tenancy County documents and they still ignore them. The Consumer Finance Protection Agency is a great place to file a complaint. Anyone interested in joining and getting a class action lawsuit against these wonderful people.
Original review: My wife passed away in January of 2019 and by Federal Law I have inherited the property and they keep telling me that they are sending my forms to fill out and nothing ever shows up. I guess putting this into a Chapter 13 and explain to a Federal Judge what is going on I guess that maybe the way to go. This place is small compared to others so they are always in Court with someone suing them and it is a joke. How anyone gives them 5 stars they must be out of their mind when doing that.

Let's say Bayview sent the statement right away after the 25 where they said that if you set it up whatever date you have it within the month, I still don’t accrue the penalty, which is fine. But the thing is they would send in the mail the statement for next month right away. It’s a waste of money mailing. And then, when the payment is being paid, then they would send me another statement. It’s such a lot of waste of postage and it’s confusing for some property owners like me, especially for the seniors. I’m not a senior, but that’s going to be confusing for many who don’t fully understand what it is.
Second, I have an escrow. I just received a statement from it. Most of the time, from my previous loan servicing company, when there is a change of the escrow, they sent me that information as to why and what. They just don’t add it out to my statement that, “We are going to collect this much,” and then they just had the explanation. That’s not how it works. They should let the the property owner know why the next billing would be increased. But they didn’t do that. For any additions that are not beyond the regular payment of the property owner, they should at least give them a month before they could just add it up to the statement. It's definitely wrong.
The customer service that I talk to are really good and they explain things like, “Okay. This is what’s gonna happen, and this that...” It’s detailed, which is really good. And then, I asked them questions, “Can that be…” And then, they’re very informative, too, just like when I was able to get an autopay. And then, “Oh, you know what? You can use an autopay like this, like that, without incurring charges or any fee addition to the…” That is great. That’s why I was, “Oh, I like this that they informed me about it.” That was really a good plus. Customer service is excellent. It's just that information is not dispatched properly.

Thanks for the feedback, Bernadette! We really appreciate you taking time to share your experience.

Bayview took over the loan from CitiFinancial. They went ahead and took out a flood insurance policy on us, which we already have. I had called them a while back and told them and they said they were gonna adjust it. Recently, we went ahead and contacted them again. Instead of cutting us a check, they put the money in our escrow. As far as I can tell, from the last bill, it looks like they’re still escrowing it. We’re gonna have to get back with them on that.

Updated on 05/17/2020: Bayview Loan Servicing is a debt collector. They are not a Bank. Mortgage loans like yours and mine are sold to Bayview - from Banks. This experience I'm sharing regarding Bayview is just 1 of many unnecessary anxieties they have caused me. I am so exhausted. I've been buying, owning and selling houses all over America for over 20 years. I have dealt with many mortgage lenders. And never had 1 complaint. I've been with Bayview for less than a year and I am overwhelmed with anxiety and distress. For 10 years I was blissfully happy with US Home Bank Mortgage when without warning in June of 2019 US Bank sold me to Bayview. Then, US Bank returned 2 of my payments, told me to start paying Bayview on July 1st 2019.
I attempted to pay Bayview July 1st 2019 but was told I "couldn't" because I was not in their system. I was instructed to wait for them. In August 2019 I heard from them in a very unpleasant way. They tell me I'm outstandingly late and to pay up by September 1st 2019 or face foreclosure - as if I had wronged them. After US Bank returns my 2 payments and Bayview delays, 4 months had passed. The amount owed became overwhelming - so I got a loan modification. Bayview offered a loan modification councilor - which I used.
Immediately, I started working with the councilor. After submitting the requested documents, Bayview rejected one document at a time… then gave us 1 month to get it done. Without saying why or any specifics. We got it done, then Bayview rejected another different single document and gave us 1 more month to get it done. We got it done. Folks, Bayview did this for each requested doc for months … making us do all the guesswork. Instead of just saying, “As a whole we are not satisfied, here's what we're looking need from you.” I could only work as fast as the councilor they gave me could work. Finally they approved my loan modification. I have since made all the trial periods successfully.
And to top all that off! The unthinkable happens: Bayview had been reporting me negatively to the credit bureaus all this time, the day they put me in their system. Starting in September 2019 and every single month until today. Even with this Coronavirus Pandemic going on, March, April and May - after being instructed by the Federal Government not to do so. The Coronavirus has hurt my small business. In attempting to get "any" small business loan I'm being rejected. I ran a credit score to see what was up. Yep. Bayview and their unjust bad credit reporting is preventing me from making a living! It isn't right. Bayview won't even let me get a forbearance because they say I have a Loan Modification and I can only do one or the other. The Loan Modification started way before the Coronavirus … and it was caused by Bayview. This isn't right. I'm sending out a distress signal: - Bayview Loan Servicing is a Predatory Lender.
Original Review: *Important. All "positive" reviews are dated during the Coronavirus. February 28 2020 to now, March 2020. Coincidence? Please check earlier reviews pre-dating Coronavirus dates. They are all poor reviews across the board from unsatisfied Bayview Loan Servicing customers. Here's my story: As of March 2020 Here is their offer for my Loan Modification Terms:- A nearly 4.7% yearly interest rate increase.
- $300 monthly increase.
- A 60/70 year Loan increase (well past my death).
- An increased unpaid principal to over $13,300 added.
- They want me to sign saying I am not the occupant of my property (which I am).
I wasn't going to write a review but when I saw all these shining reviews suddenly pop up (and answered by Bayview themselves during this "Coronavirus Pandemic" February 28-March 2020). I wanted to reach out to anybody whose with Bayview Loan Servicing, LLC to see if they feel like they are being taking advantage of from what I am confident in saying "A Predatory Lender" for people who are going through Hardship. Stay safe.

I had a mortgage and Bayview took over it. Everything has been okay, and I've talked to them many times. Their reps have been cordial and kind. They go ahead and do their jobs well. I once called in to get a mortgage document that they have. It was a loan notification and I wanted them to go ahead and give me that notification and send it through email. Eventually, after three months, I still haven’t received anything. So, the length of time they take to get me a requested document is my only thing. Aside from that, everything has been smooth

I call up and Bayview takes my loan right away. I love that. Their whole staff is excellent. Everybody is wonderful to me. The only thing I didn't get is a mailing about how many more years if I have been going with this extra. I put a couple extra hundred every month, trying to get it done so I'm not old as can be to finish this. I wanted an estimate of how long it would take me before I'm done. They were going to mail it to me but they never did. They should be open on a Saturday or a little longer once in a while. But other than that, it has all been wonderful. My mortgage company was bought out by Bayview Loan Servicing and my interest rate followed me. A lower rate would be great. Their reps have been very informative. I’ve been using the online payment right now and I’ve had some confusion lately. There is an outstanding sitting there and they're reviewing it right now. They said that they would get back to me by April. Also. when I go online, it says a lesser payment is due and the payment monthly is different. For example, my mortgage is 2,500 and it’s saying another amount is due. So then about $600 is sitting out there and they haven't applied it anywhere.

It needed a loan modification and I’m really not happy with the terms and conditions of my loan, even though I’m thankful that once the modification was finalized, it was satisfactory to accomplish what I needed. This company interest rates are extremely high. When you send in your payment only 10% went to the actually mortgage payment. When you asked them to send you the modifications forms they never come until weeks later. It’s was so frustrating dealing with Bay View. Just check with the Better Bureau for their ratings. Or check their online reviews. Payments made to this company was never recorded because they say they didn’t receive payment. After long and depression investigations; it was revealed that my payments were credited to someone else’s account. This account was in my 87-year old mother’s name. Oh my this took forever to get straighten out even though I had proof that payments were made. This company is too stressful for me to even think about. I don’t want to relive these stressful times.

I had a few minor bumps in the road, especially with my last phone conversation where I had requested a supervisor, and more or less, the representative had talked me out of it. I had to request numerous times and get really authoritative with her. And finally, I got one. I let the supervisor know the same thing, and she said she’d give her a counseling. She was more understanding. The representatives should be more receptive towards our needs, especially when it comes to requesting a supervisor. But overall, everything is good, except for my high rate.

Updated on 03/19/2020: I believe Bayview Loan Servicing is a front for corrupt investors. Our Mortgage had been sold 5 times before Bayview bought it. We had a deferred 66k payment because we were forced into a variable loan. We were refused a modification due to my mother's age. When Bayview took over they said they would cancel the 66k deferment and work with her. They refused to cancel it and tacked it back on. On top of that they refused to work with her and give her a variable loan. After my mother passed Bayview continued to raise the monthly payments.
I could no longer afford them and was forced to sell. Bayview cashed in and collected the 66k deferment. I walked away with less the 1/4 of what we invested in our down payment and monthly payments. Nothing was ever resolved. I was scammed by hard core criminals. Our country is hardened to the fact that this is now a way of life. Will Justice ever be considered? How long will this scamming be allowed to continue? Bayview did contact me but refused to resolve the issue. Nothing worked in my favor. It worked for the Criminal who bought our loan.
Original Review: This company is criminal! My mother bought our home in 2005. When Bayview bought our mortgage it had already been sold 5 times. We had a 66k deferred payment by the last company that was unfair and criminal. This is because we were given a variable loan due to my mother's age. She was in her late 70's. When Bayview took over the loan they said they would cancel the deferred payment. They said they would work with my mother. They refused to do so. Instead they tacked the 66k back on. Not only that, they refused to work with her to get a fixed rate. They forced her to stay with the variable rate. They stuck her with a 66k deferred payment. My mother had a serious heart condition. The stress from Bayview did not help and made it worse.
After the death of my mother, Bayview tried to force me out of my home. They did this by continuing to regularly raise the payments. I was forced to sell because the payments were beyond anything I could afford. I went hungry for one year feeding the greed of Bayview. Now that I am in Escrow, Bayview is demanding the 66k. This leaves me with basically nothing after making years of payments. These people live the lives of kings and continually get away with their criminal activity. Our country is in shambles and it isn't getting any better. Greed has created the poverty in this country. Criminals run the mortgage companies and everyone just looks the other way.
I am not the only one who has suffered. My mother was a target because she was single and elderly. Had she been married it probably would have been a much different story. I was targeted by Bayview because they knew my situation. Did anyone step up to the plate for me? No! Everyone wanted a piece of the pie. I've now lost what my mother left to me. I've lost the work I've put into this home. This has greatly affected my life and I don't believe that the law works for everyone. There is double standard, it works for some and not others. Criminal activity is always at the root of housing collapses. Will the American people ever wake up to that fact? Will justice ever be served to people like me and my late mother? I deserve help and I need for justice to be served on my behalf. The people who run Bayview are evil.

I got my loan to improve on my house. I didn't get that much money then they gave me like 20 years to pay that back. Also, the interest rate was so high. With the interest rate, I wouldn't recommend anybody for that. But it’s been pretty good with their reps. I never missed a payment and they've been good to me.

I like Bayview Loan's customer service. The rep was awesome. I called about the money that I had sitting in the suspense account. I asked for more than $100 to be transferred to the principal. He made sure I understood everything and that I was clear before the call ended. And that’s usually what happens with all of the people that I come in contact with Bayview. I did a modification years ago and like my interest rate.

She’s been using Bayview for a long time. They are collecting money for her because she stayed so far behind. Their reps are very helpful, but the thing is that they really don’t help you with the problems that you have with the loan. I’ve tried because my daughter has been sick. She had a stroke, and her little boy has a head injury, and she stays behind a lot with the payments.
I am dissatisfied with the company but we cannot do anything because her credit is pretty bad. They will send her a threatening letter that they’re gonna foreclose on her. She’s not behind with the payments at all because I help her every now and then when she can’t do them. That’s a lot of stress for somebody that has all these problems. I know that you could not foreclose on a house if your payments are up.

I was calling Bayview because it was my first payment and I wanted to make sure that I was making the payment to the right servicer. Right after the loan closed, the disability that I was on was discontinued because of the way my doctor wrote the last note and I didn’t have income coming in. I had something saved but I didn’t know that this was gonna happen. When I called Bayview, I asked about a modification but it was really soon and I didn’t know what I needed to do. The customer service rep told me exactly what to do, and she also told me that I had to have income coming in before I could even consider a modification. She was very detailed in explaining herself and about the services that Bayview offers. I went straight to my phone and I logged in. She was very patient with me and allowed me to do all of that. So, I enjoyed it. I would like to continue talking to her. You get many different reps but she was the best one I’ve ever had.

I was with Chase, but unfortunately, I was transferred to Bayview Loan and the service has been completely different. The phone calls are annoying. When you call, they send you a letter with the name of a representative. When you call that number, you have to go through the old customer service recorder and it's very hard to get in touch with a person. So, I'm not happy. If I call a private number, why do I have to listen to the records of customer service? You should call directly to the agent's line and be able to leave a message. It's horrid.
I spoke with the rep once since I've been transferred and that was lucky. When I call back, because I pay by the end of the month, and The last person that I spoke with told me that I gotta have a service so I can choose the date that I want the payment to come out of the account. He signed me up for that, but in between, Bayview Loan charged me late charges all and nobody explained that feature to me. I will not recommend Bayview Loan.

Our interest rate is also low right now. One month, however, we wanted to charge our mortgage payment and that was not available through the account, like it had to come out of their checking. When we used to have our mortgage through another bank, which Bayview later bought, we were able to charge whenever we needed to -- if we needed to put the payment on a charge card, we were able to do that.

Bayview works with you. If you get in a jam, they just don’t start throwing high interest rates on you, even though they can, but mostly, they don’t. If you get into a hardship and you call them and let them know, they don’t fall out and threaten to take your property. They send you letters and they let you know that there are options available for you, and seek financial help and counseling through the North Carolina Foreclosure Prevention Program and the military service member program. Most I don’t qualify for, but they do good stuff like that. There aren’t many mortgage companies that keeps you locked up like that. Most of them are quick to snatch right away, but not Bayview.
It has been about a little over 20 years we’ve been with them and most of the reps from Bayview are nice and professional. But once in a while, you would get one who’s got a bad attitude who wanna say something really snide or do stuff to you. My son paid for me one time because I was all caught up. I was gonna pay $1,000 on a roof so, I made a $700 payment. I gave it a couple days because he was in Kuwait and then, I called to check on it. One agent told me it was processing so I couldn't get credit until it cleared. When I called again, they told me it bounced.
My son called me up all upset and said that it didn't bounce. They told me that it had the wrong account number on it but they charged me anyway. They're bigger than I am, so I don’t got time to argue. I’m just gonna ride it out, get my mortgage paid off, get my deed back to me, and know that these people in this town is scaring me out of my property but it’s the only thing I got and nobody’s gonna do that. Bayview is the only mortgage company I’ve been with and I would never wanna push on them. I don’t wanna take my property away from Bayview because I messed around and missed two payments and somebody was coming to snatch me out.
Sometimes you have to rob Peter to pay Paul, and I’d only do that with Bayview. I don’t trust my house to nothing and nobody else, but I trust it to Bayview. This month, I paid $1,000 and my whole income left me with about $148. I haven't seen my contract just yet but that wasn’t what they said when they took my money. Bayview is trustworthy.
Everybody’s got people that’s gonna say mean things to you because everybody thinks they own the company and everybody thinks they're gonna get points because they’re being rude to customers. But Bayview doesn’t work like that. You can try to be rude to your customers, but in the end, Bayview is gonna save you. They got good people like AT&T. You pay for what you get. So, as long as I get good customer service, I trust them. Bayview is a holding company that does good business. I thank God because they got my loan and that it went to a holding company instead of a mortgage company. A mortgage company will be quick to deduct, but they aren’t quick to help you out. They will, but they don’t just get around to it.

My rep from Bayview was a blessing. I was struggling with my mortgage and I had already applied for a couple of modifications, but she was very willing to offer me something that was doable and that would help. She was very informative and knowledgeable, and she followed through. If you’re a working individual, and I’m a single mom, a lot of times, you don’t have the opportunity to speak at length with people. But she made sure that she took the time to call me back during a time when I was able to speak with her more extensively. She also made sure that she understood what my concerns were. And she was able to grant me what was affordable for me to keep my home.
Recently, I had a delay. I had been out of work, just coming back, and not making my payments like within 10 days. My payments are due at the first of the month. I spoke to a woman who advised me that I could actually split my payments now, but I have to go on autopay for that. That was a great option, to be able to do payment in two payments instead of one lump sum, but do an autopay, not that I thought that wasn’t a fabulous thing as well. Overall, I feel like Bayview worked in my best interest. I would definitely refer them.

Like soo many other people before me, I would just like to put out there how Bayview Loan Servicing, LLC seems to get a kick out of terrorizing homeowners. My mother, who died in 2018, took out a home loan with Chase Freedom. The snakes then sold her loan to Bayview Loan Servicing, so it's not like we chose to work with these people. Bayview has not allowed me to make payments on my mom's loan account, despite me providing all the necessary documentation they asked for for me to assume the loan...to the point of foreclosing on my house due to "missed payments" that they would not allow me to make in the first place!. That is INSANE. What kind of mortgage company doesn't allow you to make mortgage payments???
Forget trying to speak to a live representative at Bayview..they always say "your assigned representative is not available to take your call..please leave a message." All the while sending me certified mail saying they will proceed with foreclosure. This isn't fair or right and this isn't the first time Bayview has been outed for abuse. I'm hoping this review will make someone at Bayview actually reach out to me (and not just type on here that "We will have someone contact you") because this company is ruining my life.

Bayview Loan Servicing bought out my mortgage and changed it. Their reps wanted to know my name, my social and the loan number. Then they asked me what they could do for me and that was what they did. And they knew what they were doing. But they should make sure to check the figures before they call. They’ve been calling me this last week and I know what they are.
I’m on a fixed budget and have an automatic withdrawal, which is supposed to be taken out on the 1st. That’s when the account is due, but it’s not cleared before they get around to doing it on the 4th. And since they put in on the 4th, it hits my bank on the 5th and I get an overdraft because all of the money has been taken or there’s not enough in there to withdraw my loan payment. Then they charge me another fee. It bugs me because if it’s supposed to be taken out on a certain day, I expect it to be taken out that day. That way I can follow it with my other bills to make sure everything is in before I spend anything.

I was wanting to lower my payment through Bayview. But I didn’t proceed it any further because they did some kind of modification. When they added my insurance and everything back in, with all the modification, it was gonna raise my payment and not lower it. They bought the loan from OneMain Financial. I’ve always had insurance on my home and they assumed that I didn’t because the 911 address didn’t correspond with the insurance I have through State Farm. They changed the address on the loan and recognized it. But they were not wanting to take the amount of insurance that I’m paying. My payment is still $847 when it should be $700 something. And I’ve been trying to get that taken care of and I can’t. There’s just no way that they’ll do it. I don’t know why I’m still paying for something that I’m not getting.
They were supposed to do an audit on the escrow account. I haven’t heard from that. They just will not take care of the customer like they should. Here I am paying $60. I was trying to get my payment lowered and I’m paying for something that I don’t even have any use for. And they haven’t explained anything to me. They don’t even have insurance on my account now. They took it off, but yet, I’m still paying $847 a month. So, my next step would be going to the Better Business Bureau and the insurance commissioner and try to get this straightened out. It’s just been a really bad headache.

I've been with three different loan company before I got to Bayview Loan. When I transferred over I didn't talk to anyone. They just sent the stuff through the mail that said my loan is no longer through EMC and changed over to Bayview. I have spoken to quite a few reps because I got in trouble with my loan and had to do a hardship to be put on a trial basis for my payment. The next thing I know my payment is jacked back up to. I'm paying 520.24 a month now. They said negative escrow because my insurance that's on my house is going up.
The statements they sent out was very confusing and every time I call I talk with different people they act like they don't see what you talked about with the other person. So I said, "Don't you see notes in there when I talked to the other person?" They don't know what they're talking about so I threatened them, "You know, if y'all can't give me a certified answer, I'm gonna have to get a lawyer to look into my mortgage and see what's going on. You all ain't got no true statements coming out." And when I did that I did get a true statement coming out for March with the true amount because they were putting an amount saying I hadn't paid. I paid them $1,500 and something. I did that in December. I had a guy that called up and said, "Well, you paid up," with my February payment, "You don't have to pay no more until March."

I am a lender and I have other banks that have called me and say, “We’ll just drop your rate half a point because, number one, we can. And number two, if you apply it online, you’d be getting a much lower rate right now.” The rate’s too high on my mortgage, unfortunately, the balance is so low and the cost of refinancing would be prohibitive that it's not an option for Bayview Loan Servicing. I have no choice but to stick with that higher-than-market rate. Other than that, they did a good job.

I was consolidating some bills to get rid of and it came to 52,000 and some odd dollar. That was through my bank and somebody else took over the loan from them. Then a couple of years ago, Bayview took over. At one time, I was paying 600 but when I started working, it went to 348. So since 2008, I haven’t paid $10,000 on it and I don’t see any movement in over 12 years. When I had a credit of $16 and some change, I asked them to put it towards my principal. So my principal was something else but my interest rate has eaten $96 plus my last $16 credit, so the bill just went up. This is ridiculous. I was young then. Now, I’m 12 years older and this is not working for me. I am not a happy camper at all.
I was talking to this young man from Bayview and he enlightened me that the reason why nothing was going toward my principal was that I'd accrue daily interest rate of $8.23 daily and the payment would go towards my interest. He told me that out of 348 I paid each month, $249.60 go toward interest and I was only paying $96 toward the bill. Then that bill would eat up that $96 because each month is over 250 of interest. Then he said that once I got some of the loans down, the daily rates would go down. So I gotta do something. I just borrowed some money from my bank to pay at least a 1,000 towards the principal plus my payment. I’m waiting to see whether this $1,000 has hit it to pay the loan down.
Bayview just picked up where somebody else left out with the loan. But had I known this was gonna be like this, I would never, in a million years, have done this here. This is a lesson learned, but this is a very hard lesson. Other than that, the young man from Bayview that I talked to was super nice. He was very instrumental in giving me some tidbits in why this bill was never moving.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful words. We really appreciate you taking time to let us know that we have an employee that brought clarity to your concerns. We count ourselves lucky to have employees to assist customers like you. We look forward to working with you again in the future!

I was looking if I could change the date on a payment. And so, the young lady that I spoke to, who was terrific, put me into a program where they moved the date of the payment on a regular basis, and then they withdrew it automatically. She was knowledgeable and she answered whatever questions I had. The process of making my payments and getting all of that situated was fine. If I speak to somebody, they are also very communicative. But, when I receive something in the mail from them, they are not great specifically when I pay my homeowner's insurance. Sometimes I pay just before a cancellation date and then I get these notices that they are taking out the insurance. I then send them the proof that there has never been a lapse in coverage. Then, sometimes, I get another notice from them. They do not seem to be up to date with that particular aspect. But, other than that, there has been no problem with problem.

First of all I didn't choose Bayview. My loan was sold to you. When I made my first payment it was sent using your pre addressed envelope to po box 650091 in Dallas. It was returned saying PO box no longer exists. Then I get a letter stating I haven't provided proof of insurance and Bayview would be taking out a policy on its own. I had insurance and I provided it to the previous owner of the loan. It shouldn't fall on me to provide it again because you bought the loan. Get it when you purchase the loan. Then I made two attempts to pay over the phone. I was out of the country dealing with all of this. Well you need to make sure your employees know they can't take a debit card. Why you can't take a debit card is beyond me but I tried twice and your employees accepted twice.
The third time the lady at least knew her job and we finally made two payments. If this payment being late affects my credit score you will be hearing from me. By the way I refinanced two buildings. The second mortgage was sold to Lakeview. I have had zero issues making payments and no requests for insurance from them.

Have called, emailed and faxed multiple times demanding for a resolution to Bayview's inability to properly service my loan as instructed in the legally binding closing paperwork that I signed-- with absolutely no resolution. Don't expect them to pay your property taxes the way your legally binding contract says-- because it won't happen. Now they are making up their own rules as to why they cannot cancel my escrow account so I can properly pay my property taxes moving forward. Do not recommend.

I had owed some money from the machinery we were buying with my son, who had opened a business. We went through Bayview and applied with Citibank. They sold out to Bayview from what I understand. The only issue I had is when they sold the loan I was waiting to get some kind of statement who to pay it to. I don't know what happened to the loan -- how it got sold or got transferred. From what I understand they were changing their process, so I ended up being four payments behind.
I was under the impression that we were gonna get a letter saying, "Okay. This is where you make the payment, and this is how they're gonna be made." Otherwise, I would have never fell behind. And it caused a little bit of a problem because my loan with them is like at 8%, so I'm trying to consolidate my first and my second, so that I don't have an 8% loan on the mortgage because it seems like I'm gonna be paying that forever if I don't do something.
I got a letter saying they'd give me a fresh start if I have the money debited from my account. So it wouldn't show that I had lates on my account because I've never been late before. I gladly did that. I felt very comfortable with them. I didn't know they could end messing up my loan because they seemed pretty upfront and forthcoming, so I didn't think there were any problems. I came to find out it didn't work the way they said things would be. They did take the money out of my account, but they never honored what they said they were gonna. That's the only bad experience I had with them. Otherwise, everything was good. I haven't had any problems. They're supposed to make good on my issue, and I hope they do because it would be to their benefit because I would recommend them highly if they honor their word and be honest with me.

These idiots think It's easier for me to pay the higher amount that I struggle to pay & can't pay my water bill or another bill because of the mortgage payment. I think they need some common sense. Charge lower & you will get more business. As soon as my credit improves I will go elsewhere, where they treat their customers with respect & want to help people, not hurt. Despicable company not to help their customers. They use the excuse of the investors. Are the investors that ignorant or greedy? Maybe, but they are going to lose business if that's the case.

I called Bayview for a loan modification for my mortgage and it went through with flying colors. I had no problems getting that done and they’ve been very cooperative with me with my standings on my office end, if I'm laid off or lack of money from work. They’ve been very patient with me and any time I ran into any trouble with my funds, I would call them and explain to them. They were very passionate with me, understanding and caring. They would do anything they could to make it suitable to where I can get my payments in. I like Bayview as well as working with them. I’ve had several reps over the years and the most recent one, Kenneth, has been very helpful as far as me getting my code numbers to get my payment off now. He also let me know that I could do two debit cards.

Thanks for the great review, Tawanda! The team here at BLS works hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you!! Please let us know if there is ever anything else we can do. Best wishes!!!

Bayview got my loan from Oakland, and I hope they don't sell my mortgage again to somebody else. Since I got my mortgage from long, long time ago, it has been sold more than 20 times to somebody else. But the good thing is it's still the same because I applied for a fixed mortgage payment. I just spoke with Karen the other day, and I informed her that I want automatic payment. She did record it and it will be beginning this February. So my mortgage is up-to-date. They have excellent service.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful words, Warlita. We really appreciate you taking time to let us know Karen was able to complete your request. We count ourselves lucky to have her for customers like you. We look forward to working with you again in the future!

Received notice that Chase transferred mortgage to Bayview on 1/2/2020. In process of selling home. Called to get payoff amount since settlement is scheduled for 1/8/2020. Called on 1/6 and 1/7 and unable to get information from Bayview because do not have account number and still in “black out period”. Explained urgency to customer representative and called Corporate Office with no customer service or initiation to help move the process sooner. This is the worst company to do business with and have filed complaint with Chase. Next step is talking to an attorney to determine my options.

Three years ago I had a very bad fall and I had to have my hip replaced. The mortgage company transferred my account over to another bank, and the bank gave it to Bayview. It was about a year before I was able to get back into taking care of my home bills. Bayview put me on this program, most of it because of the doctor bills that came with the operation. Joe took over my account and I had to pay Bayview, and then they told me that they took over my account altogether. Now, they're taking my mortgage payment automatically.
Most of the time when I needed to call, it was because of my own problems with not remembering if I sent the payment or how it was being taken care of. There were a couple of times when I sent them to the wrong place, and they looked it up for me and took care of the whole thing. Anytime I called, they were extremely helpful and if they didn't know the answer, they got back to me. There were several months when it was hard to get a hold of me 'cause I was in rehab hospitals, and they tracked me down.

Something is very wrong and fishy with this company. Or there are loopholes and they are taking advantage of said loopholes and screwing people over in the process. I called Bayview on Thursday 11/21/19 at 11:39am Hawaii time to ask about back owed mortgage payments and asked if any sort of foreclosure things are happening or in the works, the representatives - we called multiple times that day so more than one representative - they all stated nothing in regards to intent to accelerate foreclosure was happening. That the back owed mortgage was just accruing. I have a mortgage statement from 11/18/19 that I printed from online - not yet even received my mail as of 11/27/19 - that states yes money is back owed but foreclosure intent MAY occur if this keeps up (in so many words).
During our phone calls to Bayview on 11/21/19 we let them know we are taking an annuity hardship withdrawal from my husband's union plan and would be able to pay everything back within 30 days. Today is 11/27/19 and I received FOUR certified letters from Bayview for Notice of Default and Intent to Accelerate dated on 11/21/19 - HOW CAN THAT BE?? As per my several phone calls that day 11/21/19 nothing was happening?? My property in Hawaii is valuable with over $300K in equity and a price tag of over $600K - they aren’t trying to help me keep my home. They are trying to acquire a very valuable asset while almost making my family homeless.
I fell into a horrible depression and let my life go obviously and all I am Trying to do is fix it and these people use what I tell them and use it against me and my family. They are corrupt. Oh and if you tell them, you’re recording the conversation they can’t/won’t continue to talk to you. But all their phone calls are recorded. So all my 11/21/19 phone calls with multiple representatives telling me nothing is in the works regarding notice of default with intent to accelerate is a recorded lie. I will hire an attorney if needed. No one should ever go through this with these people.

Our Mortgage is new, sold to Bayview right off the bat. We were able to make payments online for the first 2 or 3 months, and then they blocked my checking account without notifying me that it was blocked. It caused my online payments to fail, without me knowing why, and each time I attempted to submit a payment, it generated a fee that they labeled "NSF Fee" of $25 even though there was more than adequate money in the account to pay the monthly payment.
I can only assume that they are blocking my account, and then charging this fee simply to "earn" a fee. And the more frustrated I would get with the website, and hit the "submit payment" button, it would generate a $25 fee each and every single time, making the next month's payment only a partial payment as they apply the money to these "fees" first and then to your mortgage payment!! And all the while, you have no idea that your account has been "blocked" and is generating these crazy and unethical fees! I am beyond frustrated and disgusted with this company and I have only been doing business with them for about 5 months.

Chase sold our loan to Bayview and we were unaware of it until the last minute, I don't feel like they should have did that but they did and when we make our mortgage payments and even it they are at the end of the month they let it sit in some type of suspense account.
We had a damage with our home from the really bad storms that come through and they will not release our funds from that, they are a bunch of crooks. Updated on 07/30/2019: NO "resolution in progress". So, Bayview responds telling me this isn't normal and giving me their customer advocate line. Because, going through this for MORE THAN A YEAR, I certainly never dealt with customer advocates (insert sarcasm font). Then I respond (all this has to be in private, no other option) and get how they're waiting for my response (SENT) and my comment now publicly states "resolution in progress." It's great that this is here, but the fact that you can't add to your own post or comment on anyone else's really leaves little options but the company to *privately* try to rectify it to save face. How do you save face from what appears to be a pattern of questionable actions at least bordering on illegal. If anyone wants to join me in a letter to the Florida Attorney General's Office to possibly spark an investigation, please email **.
Original Review: I know many people have had problems with this company. They used me getting behind and rejecting their plan to add 12½ years to my mortgage as a way to try to force me into signing my home over to them. Luckily, I called the Attorney General's office in Florida (where they are based) to find out my options. I was then able to get my mortgage back on track with additional payments that totaled a few thousand dollars rather than the $180,000 that would have been added had I taken what they tried to force me into. But, in the mean time, they wouldn't let me pay my mortgage, which sent my credit score fully into the toilet. This was AFTER they tried to force me into foreclosure because their employee put my payment toward someone else's mortgage.
I got my bank to look at where the money went to fix that. And it still took them SIX MONTHS to rectify the issue. This company needs more than Consumer Affairs looking in to one case at a time. The AG's Office needs to be notified by EVERY PERSON this company has caused problems for. AG's do not fight for a single person, but if they get enough information on illegal business practices, it does spark a criminal investigation. They can be reached at 850-414-3990.

The verbiage is written such that I am delinquent in my responsibility as a homeowner and they are willing to do us a favor by handling our insurance requirements for us. I have provided documentation to Bayview Loan Servicing three times and still receive letters they do not have documentation.
Why is it that the ineptitude of these corporations turn into threats and inconveniences for homeowners? I too have been a victim of this terrible excuse of a mortgage company. M&T Bank held my mortgage the entire time I was in Chapter 13 Bankruptcy up until one month before I would successfully complete the bankruptcy, then, one week before I completed it, the loan was sold to this lousy Bayview Loan Servicing company. That's when the trouble began... Let me tell you folks, this company is the most unethical company I have ever dealt with... First off, they tried to claim I owed them monthly payments for the last two months I was in the bankruptcy.
This is completely illegal, the bankruptcy court pays the monthly payment for the entire 60 months, (not just 58 months) Then, they would send multiple statements for the same month, with different 'statement issued dates', but they would be due the same following month. (I had owed them for their 'bankruptcy fees' and they disguised their charges in these multiple statements they sent out.) They refused to show me a simple bill showing exactly what they were charging for the bankruptcy..
After this shady practice of multiple statement billing for the same month, then all of the sudden without any other advance notices, they sent out a "notice of acceleration of loan' saying I was in default.. Long story short, I paid the lousy company the $5800 for their lawyer fees. They reported me late to the 3 credit bureaus for two months straight, when I was never late at all! It took a letter to the CFPB and 3 months to get Bayview to correct my report to 'paid on time', but then, these Bayview people went back to the previous year, and reported me 30 days late for December. This must have been done out of spite, I was not late in December either.. I am refinancing and getting rid of this lousy lying company. Class action lawsuit needs to be started against these thieves!

Thousands upon thousands of reviews of people's bad experience with Bayview is pretty clear. I bought this home in August, 2006, and I was paying mortgage payments on time for years without a problem and then Chase (at the time) offered me a repayment plan. I took advantage of it so I could take a couple of months to pay off a car. That was a mistake. In the middle of making timely payments to Chase, Chase sold my loan to Bayview.
As far as I'm concerned, Chase are scumbags for doing this as well. Bayview, but OF COURSE (as everyone else has stated), never notified me that my loan was transferred to them, and I had a notice on my door that an inspector came by and I wasn't home. This was as soon as they had my loan, no paper work or contact from them, I get some thing saying a field inspector came by my house. I had no idea who that was for or why and thought it was a scammer going house to house.
Bayview also claimed that they never got the paper work to show I was in a repayment plan with Chase, and going by EVERY single review, that is their standard operating procedure. This allowed Bayview to immediately claim I was behind three months in payments. Also, payments I had made to Chase were put into some holding account and not applied to my mortgage payments. I have been paying them and keep getting reassured that so long as I don't fall too far behind, there's no worry about them taking any further action. I've got my payments down to being 45 days late and am just about to pay them in a couple of days to only be 15-20 days late, working to get caught up.
In the meantime, today I had received a letter from Bayview with with a notice of default and intent to accelerate the loan, meaning they are demanding I pay them several thousand dollars within 30 days of the notice date (which I didn't get until a week later!) saying I need to pay it all, plus other fees/fines to avoid foreclosure. Of course, "no less than 30 days" is all the law requires them to give for an acceleration notice. Look at the THOUSANDS of reviews/reports of people's experience with these scumbag scammers, and you'll see that Bayview are actual EXPERTS at foreclosing. That is their entire operation and they abuse the laws to "just be legal enough" to get away with it.
I'm FURIOUS that Chase and other lenders don't give a damn and sell to them, because they KNOW that Bayview is working to take your home! I gave them every chance possible, thinking that maybe all of the negative reports are just people that weren't paying attention, people unhappy with the outcome and so on, and hoped for the best, but here it ended up happening to me as well. That is their entire setup, it's a scam!
They know they're buying loans that are for homes worth more than is owed, which means they will make more money more quickly by flipping homes as a foreclosure mill than they would to wait while people pay their loans over the decades to follow. They are NOT a lender, they are a debt collector only. They can not offer a refinance or loan assumption, because they are literally only a debt collector. The most they can offer, which in itself they intentionally also make very difficult, is they can offer a repayment plan or a loan modification, and you can read the reviews to see how that scam works as well. In the end, they want your home so they can sell it and profit. They are not buying these loans from lenders so they can simply take your monthly payments. They make everything difficult and provide false or misrepresented information and claims so you'll trip up, somehow, some day, and take your home.
It's crazy they are able to continue to run this clear scam, but they are very good at this scam and have experienced lawyers. The laws are currently set up to allow them to operate and skirt under the law just enough to get away with it, because there are very few real protections for consumers when it comes to mortgages. So, I'm going to go after them very aggressively (legally) and I'm looking for anyone that wants to throw their hat in the ring to join me in starting a class action law suit. Combined, we have a real chance to get these scammers finally shut down for good. Don't sit and think about it and decide to blow it off, contact me and let's get the ball rolling.
We do have mortgage and debt laws to protect us, and with enough documented information it will show a clear pattern of intent to create a situation where they can give themselves cause to take your home -- and that's what they are going to do! Contact me to join a class action now, no matter how old this post might be by the time you read it. My name is Tim **, I'm in California. My email is **. My number is **. I filed chapter 13 back in 10-2017 because I was self-employed and my business had dropped down in half. Let me say this first. In no way did Suntrust mortgage loan do anything wrong. They were always great to deal with. When I filed Suntrust had my mortgage for 10+ years and never missed a payment or never late. I received on 1-3-2018 a copy of a letter that the trustee had put Suntrust on notice that when my loan had been bought by Bayview which I wasn't aware of that Bayview had failed to report they had purchased my loan. The trustee sent a letter to both loan companies that if Bayview did not immediately comply with the Federal Bankruptcy rules the payment would be paid to Suntrust. Bayview complied which was smart on their behalf.
I decided after 1 year with all payments made on time to do a cash buyout because I had enough equity in my home to do so. Doing a cash buyout refinance with FHA has to be done in a completely detailed manner. I have giving every document and explanations that was required by the FHA underwriter to the loan officer. The decision is done by a manual underwriter and not by a computer system. For me to be able to buy out my chapter 13 is to receive a pre-approval letter that I have for my attorney to make a motion to the Federal Court judge and the trustee to allow for the buyout to be approved then the trustee will disburse all monies owed on secured dates. So I received a email from the loan officer that Bayview had reported me being late almost every month for 12+ months.
Remember the dates when Bayview bought out my loan started on 2-2018 I filed and was granted my chapter 13 case on 10-2017 so I have never made a direct payment to Bayview and have not even been in chapter 13 for 24 months. I scanned and attached the buyout from Suntrust to Bayview and emailed to the loan officer. What this could possibly be is misleading of documentation that the trustee has be in default since Bayview has stated the loan has been mostly late for 12+ months. I have called them personally to get my payoff and their rudeness was beyond belief and their numbers were not close comparing what the monthly ledger shows on the Trustees site. I think after making the false statement for being late and the numbers for the payoff just possibly be more forthcoming with the truth when answering to a Federal judge.

This company took over my loan from CitiFinancial. At first they were okay, even went above and beyond to do a loan modification for me. However, when the modification was done, they were still taking out my old loan payment! So when I called to get it corrected to the new lower amount, that went great. The mess came when I called to have the excess amounts from 2 of the old higher payment refunded to me, which was on January 31, I was told that it has been sitting in management's hands for release. Well I called back on Feb. 15, 2019 to be told that check had NEVER been cut and was given assurance that it would be FedEx overnight and I would have the check Tuesday. Well guess what, Tuesday came and went...NO CHECK. So I called back today to be told that it was still waiting to be cut. BEYOND PISSED. I am grateful of the loan modification because it did help me greatly but I will be so glad when I pay this company completely off!!!

My Loan was sold to Bayview Loan Servicing in 2017. In January 2019 I sold my house and my realtor was needing a payoff amount so I called Bayview. After calling several times they finally gave us a payoff amount on January 17TH that was $326 dollars higher than what my payoff was on their website. Bayview said it was a fee to keep the payoff amount the same until February 1ST. Bayview was charging $20.11 in interest per day through February 1st. My house closed on January 18th so I called and never got an answer if I was getting any kind of refund since the house closed on January 18th. I also disputed their payoff amount which was over $6000 more than it should have been.
I faxed Bayview a copy of the amortization schedule and then they finally sent me a response saying it was because payments need to be processed by the 15TH of each month. I was set up on auto pay and the payment was set to be processed, and received by them on the due date of the 15th of each month. I am being penalized over $6000 because Bayview was not processing my payment on the 15th. I also never received any communication from Bayview about these penalties or a need to change my autopay set up. I did not choose to finance my house through them, my loan was sold to them.

When I found the loan, I contacted Bayview about it to find out the payoff, the woman finally told me an amount, she asked why I wanted it and I told her Lola had died and she told me they did not want it paid off and hung up. I sent in a cashier's check for the amount she said and then got a copy of the check after 90 days to verify they got it or not, they did so I proceeded to get the family to send deed showing it was transferred to me with copies of the front and back of the check stipulating what it was for (paying off the loan in their own papers. It was called a short sale.)
A few months later a default of loan was sent to Lola and I called trying to find out what happened and they told me they never got the check. I sent them copies of it and silence then a notice of sale was sent for December. It did not come up for sale, then another notice came up for Feb. and they sold it. They don't cash your checks for about 20 days for some reason (which I suspect is a way to apply some sort of fee). I keep getting letters from them stating that they are going to accelerate the past payments from Chase, yet, I can never get anyone on the phone to try to work this out. I received a generic letter stating I owed them money, I waited several weeks for a response and finally learned of this mortgage sale to them from Citi. From day one of this transfer, Bayview has lacked any reasonable response to a loan modification and sends a 'package' with instruction for a refinance application.
Once the package is returned, several months pass in which Bayview requests additional information such as a small business tax form from IRS, etc. Sad that Bayview didn't include these document requests initially or, are they stalling the loan modification process. I recently found out that Bayview is really a mortgage company but rather a 'debt collection agency'. Citibank should be investigated and include Bayview as part of that investigation. Bayview seems to be likened to the Denny's Restaurant, a place you don't plan to go to but a place you wind up at.

I made the 3 trial payments and a 4th payment. They sent me documents that were made out to my mom, a deceased person. When I called my rep Marsha ** said to cross her name out and initial it, so I did and had all copies notarized. Then I got the runaround and said it will be finalized but to keep on making payments.
When I tried to make my 5th payment they said they would not accept it. I said that I did everything you told me to do. Then Marsha ** told me that I have to do an assumption first and that this should have happened at the beginning which was never told to me. I am not going to do an assumption because that would be me assuming the loan "As Is", and a mortgage on my credit file behind 12 months. Who in their right mind would do that?
I would have never done anything like this, I feel all this company did was string me along for 6-7 months with its only intention to extort money from me by making promises to keep my mom's house after trial payments when they never intended. In late March 2018, I received notice from Chase that my deceased brother's mortgage was being taken over by Bayview Loan Servicing and that I'd be hearing from Bayview. I tried calling Chase on April 3 to find out why the loan was no longer with Chase, but they said it had been transferred, and didn't have information. They suggested I call Bayview, which I did. Bayview said they didn't have any information, probably because the loan hadn't completely transferred over yet. They said they couldn't look it up under the Chase account number, or my brother's information, but I would be receiving paperwork with the new Bayview account number shortly.
Once I received the paperwork I called Bayview again. This time I was told that they couldn't talk to me until I had authorization to speak on my brother's behalf. The estate is in probate, as my brother died suddenly and left no will. Immediately after the probate hearing on 4/23, I called Bayview yet again. This time I was told that I needed to fax the Letter of Administration and Death certificate to their office. I was given a fax number. We tried that fax number every day for over a week, and got an error message every time.
Finally I called the customer service number again, and after twenty minutes of being shuffled around through various menus and hold messages, all taking me back to the main menu, I finally reached a live person. I told him my story, and he asked for the fax number I was using. "Oh no," he said, "that's not the right number!" He proceeded to give me a new fax number, which worked, and told me that it takes 24-48 hours for the information to be uploaded into the system. Since it was Thursday morning, he told me to call Friday afternoon, or better yet, Saturday. I asked him if they would be open on Saturday, and he assured me that they were. I looked at the customer service information on the mortgage statement, and was shocked to find that they do, indeed, list Saturday hours.
I called on Saturday, and over the course of about two hours was transferred by automated system to this exchange, which told me to please wait, only to be greeted by "Nancy" the automated greeter, who encouraged me to push 0 to speak to a colleague, which I did, and which then took me back to the main menu again. After far too many tries, which did nothing but infuriate me, I finally for a left a message asking for a callback on Monday. I also visited their website, which lists totally different business hours than are given on the mortgage statements.
By Monday afternoon, I still had not received a callback, and it was nearing the 5 pm. EST that is touted on their outgoing messages, despite their statement stating hours of M-F 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET and Saturday 8-5 ET. I called and spoke with Solange, who told me that she couldn't find the authorizing letters in the system. She asked me what fax number I used, and I told her the number given to me by Rafael. "Oh NO!" she says, "That's not the right number! It's..." and she gave me the number that I'd tried unsuccessfully to reach for a week.
At this point, I'm ready to blow, and I told her the situation. She said it was impossible to talk to me about the mortgage because they didn't have authorization. I told her I just want to make a payment plan to avoid foreclosure on the house. She said I can make a payment, she'd be happy to do that for me. Okay! Now we're getting somewhere. NO! Unless it's the full amount, they can't take a partial payment from me because I'm not authorized on the account. BUT I AM!
At this point she tells me I can email the documents to a loss mitigation department, and I did, and I also emailed them to Customer Service. I am about to go looking for the CEO's information and contact him or her, but I think I might just try my Congressperson. Judging from the complaints listed here, this is standard operation for this company, and it's shameful, if not downright unethical.

Second, the numerous attempts to reconcile my acct with this company has failed miserably. I can't even begin to tell you just how many times I had to call this company to set up a recurring payment plan but for some reason this would always fall through and I'd find myself right back to square one calling them the following month to set it up again! I filed bankruptcy and our house was included and we never reaffirmed the home loan. However, we stayed in the house making the monthly payments.
This company took over our loan and from the beginning couldn't seem to get their head out of their ** long enough to get the process right. Now, many months later, after I've had enough and absolutely just have given up they are sending threatening letters telling me they're going to foreclose on the property if I don't pay the entire loan amount. Seriously, at this point they can just SHOVE IT UP THEIR REARS! Something MUST be done about these sort of companies, this is theft, not a penny of the monthly payments that I managed to pay since 2010 has lowered the amount of the loan. Dealing with this company has created the most significant ulcer ever. My mother passed away in May of 2017; I didn't become executor of her estate until sometime in September I believe... in the meantime, we had no idea where her mortgage was located, which bank, etc. Finally, after finding out it was Chase, they had just sold it to Fannie Mae, making Bayview lending the servicer for this account. My mother, because she was dead didn't make mortgage payments, and we couldn't because we didn't know where it was, so Bayview needed to collect back payments. And politely arranged a payment plan, of which as soon as I found out about I started paying on.
I have never have missed a payment in now what five-six months. Well, they wanted me to assume the loan, and sign paperwork NOT UNDER MY NAME UNDER THE ESTATE OF MY MOTHER, which is weird to me. SO I attempted to talk with Fannie Mae, another crappy company, they asked that I send formal paperwork establishing me as executor and her death certificate, which I did. Then they said they couldn't talk with me after receiving these documents because I didn't redact (BLACK OUT WITH A MARKER) stuff they didn't need to see. NO **. They wouldn't talk to me for that reason. SO I'm stuck with Bayview... once I received the paperwork, which I had no idea was coming, to take on the loan, they gave me ten days to return the form notarized and signed. IT WAS A BOOK.
I received it on a Friday, which automatically took one day away Sat, Sun gone, which left 7 days to have my attorney look at that papers and then have it notarized... My attorney was on a two-week cruise, do they think I can afford another attorney to look at that book? SO I called my rep. Yeah old Ben **, and I left a message... now he said he didn't get it... and was sweet all the way through this process until a later. He told me I needed to write a formal appeal, which I did in February, I received notice the 3rd of March that they would reply to the appeal with a decision if they would send the papers again by the 20th of March, it's March 30th, I haven't heard anything.
Keep in mind I keep making payments, not missed one. NOW I get a notice today that they are accelerating the loan process for possible repossession. BEN my service rep for this account, stopped talking to me because we finally had words over this account and I let him know that I record my calls... which is legal if you didn't know. (I don't even have to let him know I'm recording, and federal law states if you are holding legal business transactions over the phone you can record in any state)... but this company refuses to let their people be recorded. NOW he won't talk to me at all, refuses to return my calls, and I have to practically beg to get them to take a payment, they have to ask BEN first if they can take it... which he has approved twice now.
Even today as I made a payment, and left a message asking if he knew any news regarding my appeal... he was too busy or wasn't taking my call, too busy is possible. I'll give him that... but I finally found someone nice who explained why the company doesn't like to be recorded though they can record you... I use it to translate to a word document, to know who I called what we talked about and so on... as executor I talk to many people about mom's account, so it's important to keep good notes.
Now they send me notice that they plan to expedite the procedures to foreclose though I'm paying each month and I can't talk to a damn person. Not there or Fannie Mae... I wish Chase hadn't sold the account, this is the worst company, and there is nothing I can do but hope to God they try to take me to court, because I'll be there with all my transcripts of their playing with me, sending me notices with ten days to respond, but including days that I haven't even recieved the letter yet, or leading me into paying something that I thought was paying down her payments of being behind in payments, only to JUST LEARN, what I've been paying is essentially a way of pushing a hold button.... not one damn credit towards her late fees... in fact the amount has gone up though I've been paying.
There has to be a way to hold these companies accountable for their actions, has to be... why would they choose to take the loss on a house that is being paid for each month. I see why people, who are forced from their homes by mortgage companies, why they destroy the inside of the homes, taking the copper, spray painting the walls, ruining the carpet... etc. I get it... especially if you treat someone who is paying, as though they are a deadbeat who hasn't. What a joke company. And what's worst of all... the fact that I was under the assumption the payments I made were going to lower the amount she was behind, NOPE... it's just something they pocketed. THAT SOUNDS CRIMINAL TO ME.

The first thing I received from them was their "Welcome Package" which threatened immediate foreclosure. I called them and they assured me that foreclosure proceedings had not yet begun. I made a 1 month good faith payment to try and work with them. Last Saturday I ran an early morning errand and returned to find a note taped to my door that Bayview had been there to inspect my house - before 9am on a Saturday (and they expected me to let them into my house before 9am on the weekend, unannounced, and with the rest of the family sleeping in their bedrooms)!
Then I get a FedEx package from them on 03/19/18 saying that I had 3 options: 1) Accept a loan modification paying $300 less each month that would extend my mortgage (with only 15 years left on it) for another 40 years! or 2) Leave my house and let them do a short sale or deed-in-lieu-of, or 3) Foreclosure proceedings would CONTINUE (they assumed the mortgage on 02/01/18 and foreclosure proceedings have already begun by 03/15/18?) This company obviously wants to buy my $450,000 Long Island, NY house for the $118,000 remaining on my mortgage and flip it for profit. This company is sleazy and aggressive.
They bought my mortgage with the sole intent on evicting my family (including 2 children with autism to whom this is the only house they've ever known). Bottom line: they are sharks looking to take advantage of those of us who have fallen on hard times. On 2/14/2017 the company sent me a statement adding several charges totaling an amount of $16,292.07 to the outstanding Principal Balance of the loan calling them various names. All these charges were never stated in the earlier monthly statements of the account. On February 18, 2017, I wrote a letter to the Company asking for explanations and clarifications on the very strange additions to the loan balance, which were not justified under the loan agreement. They did not respond to my letter. However, since I was selling the property and very close to closing up the sale, I informed the Company that I would go to closing with the estimate given to but will still require that they provide clarifications on the charges. I closed the sale and contacted the company, but till date, it has refused to respond to me.

I uploaded proof to them. They kept on asking and they added an insurance premium to my monthly payment. I called them and got the payment removed and sent proof of insurance via the email address provided in the phone call. The next month, they again added the bogus insurance charge. So, I logged onto my insurance carrier's site and sent them 200 individual proofs of insurance in one day. Then they responded that they had received my proof of insurance. But, no worries. They continued to try to charge me the additional insurance charge.
The latest, actually as of today. I sent them my payment electronically. They sent me an email confirmation but never processed the payment. So, then they added an NSF charge. I sent them a message through their messaging system. No response. I called them. I tried to submit the payment again. Nope, their web page said that my bank does not allow electronic transfers. I called them. The idiot on the phone told me that they might be liens on my account or some other **. I told her to process the payment again. She did it. It went through. My situation was I was in a chapter 13 which my home shouldn't have been included since I continued to make my payments on my own. I have even had my lawyer to contact them for the same request and to this day they have failed to comply. Saying at first they can only send statements to my lawyer which they didn't do. I contacted Bayview to let them know that my parents had passed, and the house was left to me. Which meant I would be making the payments. Bayview refused to take payments from, because my name was not on loan. Even after submitting both wills and death certificates (multiple times) I continued to get the runaround from them. This went on for 3 months. I was able to make a 1 payment for $1200 from my parents' savings account, which brought the loan up to date. When I called the following month to make a payment, I was denied again. I tried to make online payments and was unable to do so. I continued to call and attempt to make payments to no avail.
Suddenly when I call, I'm automatically routed to Danny ** whose title is something like Risk Manager. He never answers. I left several messages for him. When he finally called me back, there was no resolution. He said he could only take a payment from me if it was for the full loan amount. My father built this house when he found out my mother was pregnant with me.
I contacted a lawyer and was told I could file bankruptcy to keep them from taking the house. So now I'm filing for bankruptcy because Bayview caused me to fall $2500 behind in payments. I lost my job of 16 years, then went to work for another company for a year before leaving that job. I was out of work for 6 mo. before finding another job. I was about 6 mo behind on my mortgage payments totaling less than $6,000. I tried to do a loan modification, and the amount of information Bayview requested was more than I had to produce for my initial mortgage. They kept asking for things that I was unable to provide, but I did give them most everything they asked for. I would go long periods without hearing anything back from them.
When I started working again, I spoke with Ben and told him when I would start making my regular payments again. He said that was fine and I had time before the foreclosure process would be started. After I made my first regular payment to them, I get an email saying that they could not do anything with the funds because the load had gone into foreclosure 11 days prior. The latest is that I basically have 2 weeks to come up with the $5,000 to supposedly stop the foreclosure process. I don't really believe that if I make that payment somehow, my loan will go back to normal.
These people string you along, telling you that things are ok, while they are going behind your back and proceeding with foreclosures. I have equity in my home and they are looking for a quick buck at the expense of the down and out consumer. They take advantage of people's misfortunes and exploit them for their own gain. Well June 5, 2017 Bayview reported my account 30 days delinquent and they've had my account for 12 years, which is untrue. I pay all of my bills on time and I never had this problem with Citifinancial. I called to discuss this issue, my call was escalated to a specialist name, Victor. He asked me to fax in my credit report, a written statement and proof of military service so he could update my account. He stated he would have the error removed. I faxed all items the same day. This was the second week of June, well since then I have been unable to get in contact with Victor and the negative item is still on my credit. When I call, other representatives tell me he's not at his desk, I leave a message and he doesn't return my call.
I called on yesterday, and spoke with a representative by the name Samantha (**) the call lasted 1hr and 8 mins and absolutely nothing was accomplished. She had me on hold majority of the call. She stated (1) Victor was unavailable, (2) maybe Citifinancial reported my account delinquent; in which I reminded her of the date my account was transferred and date it was reported, (3) I asked to speak with a supervisor, she put me on hold for another 20 mins and then told me the supervisor was unavailable. My mortgage was sold to Bayview Loan Servicing in April 2016. I was having some financial difficulties during that year and got behind on my loan. I was working to catch up and try and do a modification. I was denied the modification because they said my package was incomplete which is was not the rep. never got back to me when I faxed them to her. So not wanting to waste my time with that nonsense I worked to get my mortgage caught up. I was finally up to date in November 2016. I paid my December payment on time along with the late fee and modification fee they said I owed. They paid the mortgage but to the fee money and put it into an unapplied account. I kept paying the fees over and over not realizing they were putting money into this account.
Eventually I noticed what they were doing and asked the rep to pay the fees, as she said I had to authorize them to pay them out of that account. Of course I authorized it and it never happened. I have since been on the merry go round of getting my account paid properly. Fast forward to July 2017, I figured all was taken care of since I had a marathon call in June straightening everything out, WRONG! Again the fees showed up and they took my July payment which was sent on the 5th of July and took the fee money out and put the rest into an unapplied fund without my knowledge. So to my surprise I received a call saying I hadn't paid my July payment. I called and it took everything I had to try and get this mess straight. I was on the phone with a supervisor and she was going to fix it and call me back two days later.
No call. Nothing. So I called them and again it said my account was not paid and she took all my money and put into the unapplied funds account. It took another marathon call to find out what the heck was going on and I got the run around from one service rep to another until I finally got pissed and let them know I contacted my attorney and the Illinois Attorney General's Office. Amazingly the supervisor I talked to got on the phone and told me she was trying to get the fees taken off my account and that is the reason she could not make the payment and the funds were in the unapplied account.
Now the service rep said I owed $112.00 and here the supervisor is telling me I owed 50 cents and that's why she could not make the payment, I was short 50 cents. I paid it and questioned her about the July late fees and she said she took them off as well as the old late fees. We will see if she did what she said, because I meant what I said. I am filing with the Attorney General's Office and waiting on my Attorney to call me back. No one gets to play with my hard earned money.

I began a loan modification process with Bayview LLC over a year ago. I have been through numerous Asset Management persons and supervisors. After initially contacting Bayview about a loan modification they begin to request documents. For over a year I continued to send them documents and then they would turn around and request the same documents again. Once they received a completed package by law they had 37 days to respond. But they did not care and nobody held them accountable.
My first asset manager was Daniel who never returned phone calls and was never even in when I called. I then was transferred to Joey who every time I called had an excuse and asked for more time. "Just give me two more days" or, "We will know something by next week." What a liar!! All they did was continue to drag me through the mud promising they were working on a modification while at the same time they were "dual tracking" me, which again is against the law. They continued to pursue foreclosures causing me to file two different bankruptcies to stop foreclosures all while going through the modification process.
I not only spoke to Joey but the two supervisors. One named Guy and the other name Timothy. Both of them were no help. These people do not care!! I have owned my home since we built it new for 13 years. My arrears originally was $15,000 but they continued to drag me through the mud until it totaled $55,000. They then denied my modification to the $586,000 Loan. After I appealed their decision based on the loan value being underwater they immediately sent out an appraiser to do an appraisal. After numerous requests and voicemails that were full and never receiving return phone calls or correspondence they denied my appeal and immediately scheduled a third foreclosure date.
Their incompetence at handling this process is over the top. They continued to blame the underwriter that could not figure out my income. Although they were sent three years of tax returns and also requested tax returns from the IRS. They had over six months of pay stubs and still kept asking for a 1099. It's a shame that the future of your house is held hostage by Young 20 year olds that have absolutely no experience in what they're doing. I still have never received a copy of the appraisal that came in at $580,000 which was less than the amount I owed. They were not willing to work out any kind of repayment plan but instead continued foreclosure. They ultimately sold my house at auction for $446,000. That was $130,000 below the appraised value. And their title is Asset Manager? What a joke!! Nobody can understand the anger and frustration if you have never been through this process.
So my warning to everyone that has anything to do with business with Bayview LLC. Beware. These people are liars, manipulators, and incompetent and certainly not considerate. Don't be fooled by them wanting to help you through a modification. Because they will continue to proceed with foreclosure process and drag it out and drain you financially. I agree that there should be a class action lawsuit brought against Bayview LLC for their fraudulent business activities. The average person would go to prison for the fraud that they have committed. But nobody has held this company to account. Whatever you do, do not believe anything they tell you.
I wish somebody at Consumer Affairs would read these numerous complaints about this company and bring some kind of legal action against them. They have hurt my family and caused me to lose the biggest asset in my life. This company is continue to commit fraud over and over again and never held accountable. They should not even be allowed to do business.

They sent me a letter advising I need to show proof of insurance, which they should have received from Citifinancial when they purchased the account. I have sent it to them twice and I am still receiving notifications. I am so glad I am done with them. I am sure the Mortgage Satisfaction letter should arrive by next year. TERRIBLE COMPANY.

I request payoffs from a vast array of mortgage companies and have never, EVER had the experiences I've had with Bayview. No one responds to emails, voice mails, no one acknowledges faxes. They will actually lie and say they sent something when in truth they have not. One caller says "It was sent to you yesterday". But the next rep will say "No, it's still in process". I have even had to ask my clients to call and request the information we need for our transaction, and Bayview won't even treat their own borrower any better. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, and I deal with a lot of mortgage companies and loan servicers.

I have to admit, I feel for all the 1 starred reviews I have been reading but my experience has been a very long but gratifying experience with this Bayview. In 2015, I applied for a modification and was denied because my thought process was to catch up on my loan payments and maybe I would qualify in good standing being current. Well I was wrong in thinking this. I was told by my asset manager at the time that "Now that you're caught up that you don't need one," even though I knew it was imperative that I did.
Time went on and I got behind again and spoke to another loan asset manager and her name is VICKY... I started all this loan modification business again back in August and was 2 months behind and she went through all the options available. She asked me if I wanted to keep my home of 12 yrs. and I sincerely said "YES", which I do. It took me a lot of time gathering ALL my information needed and sent it in. Of course there were times where I didn't have enough documents or they weren't in right order etc. but as I mailed them out, I called her right away and asked her to be on the lookout for them. This all happened within the few weeks they were required and finally by the 4th time everything was in correct order.
With VICKY's patience and my finally getting all my documents, copies etc in line and correct, she saw no reason that I wouldn't be approved. I was worried about becoming 4-5 months behind but payments weren't required as it was in review for this modification, that's why you were not approved before. My payments were up to date. Pretty simple.
Well I received my paperwork for approval and if I pay the required monthly payments on time for 3 months which are $800 less than my normal payments, the payments would stay around the same for the life of the loan. She was so helpful in the modification process. The key to this is to keep in touch with them so they record you because it shows them that you are serious. Even if she was unable to take my call, I left her a message to see where my status was. She'd call back and leave me a message saying it was still in review. We spoke many times and left each other many a message during the process but we kept in touch. My plan is to keep my word and pay this lower monthly amount and KEEP MY HOUSE... So the key is to just keep after them and hopefully you'll get Vicky as an asset manager.

My loan was transferred to Bayview about 10 years ago. It has been one frustration after another with this company. At first, things went well, but as the years go on they have become less and less workable. We have experienced so many frustrations with just trying to make a simple payment. If you are behind a month you can't pay online... Oh but sometimes you can. It feels like someone behind the scenes pulling the puppet strings. We try to call customer service to pay over the phone and they are closed. We are west coast and they used to stay open on Friday nights for payments till 9 pm our time. Suddenly not anymore and no notification about this change from them. Also, can you believe that we have to call them each month to request a statement??? We still don't get them without a phone call. This company is ridiculous and won't be around for long with this kind of service.

I have been paying the bills for my senior adult mother for several years. Her original loan was another company and was sold to Bayview. However the info that guaranteed me the legal right to have access her account was lost. They requested we send a letter, written by my mother, stating that I had legal right to access the account. They even called her to prove that I was the one who paid the note. Well, today I called to secure the tax information that was not sent to my address... Guess who lost all the info we sent them last year? You guessed it... Bayview. They don't have the letter, which was faxed to them, or even a record of the call. I'm extremely frustrated... Something which the people on the other end of the phone gathered. Personally, if ever the opportunity comes to get a loan from these people, I will run away as fast I can. They are inept. And, that's best I can say about them.

My parents had their mortgage with Citi financial for years and suddenly had it sold to Bayview. My dad spoke to a woman on the phone when they first switched and she clearly thought that because he is in his 60's that she could act like online payments were not possible and started trying to get his bank info over the phone for automatic payments. I spoke up and my dad made it clear that he would only be making manual online payments that he could immediately print proof of (I don't care what they say. this is 2017 and if you have internet access for payments then you should never give info over the phone and NEVER give a company permission to auto deduct payments).
Internet payments allow you to instantly print proof of every payment and ensure you know where every cents goes. Her attitude changed dramatically when she heard me in the background and suddenly (Magically!) online payments were possible! The most recent issue is that my parents DO have insurance and they sent Bayview proof twice now. But Bayview IGNORED it and has informed my parents they will be charging them 300.00 for Hazard insurance. We have insurance. How can they get away with this fraudulent idiocy? When My dad ends up in the hospital after being at PANIC ATTACK level worrying for two days cause they seem to always get these letters from BV on a Saturday ensuring he worries himself ragged for two days. Will they pay his damn hospital bills?

We were with another bank working on modification when they transferred my loan to Bayview Loan Servicing. We started making payments that was agreed upon and now got served Foreclosure paperwork with the courts and now I have 35 days to answer. This is complete crap especially since we were in agreement and two payments have been made. They are crooks and should be shut down.

My father's mortgage was purchased by this company from Citi Financial. Mortgage payments were never delinquent. Since December we've been unable to make a pmt which is affecting my father's credit. Go to the website to make pmt and it won't accept pmt, call to make a pmt and their systems don't recognize account #. Call CS rep and she doesn't know what's going on. This continues on and it's March. Call today and they advise they can't accept my checks due to my bank's error, how can my bank have a error when they haven't taken any pmts from any of our accounts.
They advised I should have my bank send in letter for our accounts, bank does not do 3rd party verification by fax. Further research by bank shows no pmt attempts were made. Bank advised to try bill pay. Called asked for a supervisor and was placed on hold for 20 minutes then advised one wasn't available. I have contacted a lawyer and am planning a suit against this company. They'll be sorry they pissed this red head off!!

Customer services is the worst to deal with. My account is escrow for tax and insurance. My house was even listed in the local newspaper for the tax sales for unpaid property taxed. When I told them I was recording them (after they told me I was being recorded) I was informed that they would have to hang up if I didn't stop the recording. SHADY COMPANY.

If you hear the words Bayview Loan Servicing, walk away. Every time I call customer service I end up in tears. I even did a three way call with them and Wells Fargo (my financial institution) and when the rep couldn't answer our questions she hung up. This company is just awful, does not record all payments, even though the checks were cashed and I have proof from my bank. Also I've sent them my certificate of insurance several times. They continue to add this to my mortgage payment.

My mortgage was with B of A since 1989 and was sold to Bayview Loans in 2015. I was very upset and could never find out why my loan was sold. I conducted my own research and learned that financial institutions commonly sell loans in order to free up their cash flow on hand. Supposedly, no increases should occur when your mortgage loan is sold to another financial institution. Bayview Loans immediately began charging me for using their automative system to make my mortgage payments.
In 2015, I was advised that I had a shortage in my escrow account in the amount of $700.00. I paid the shortage with no other additional fees. In 2016, I was told I had another shortage in the amount of $2,400.00 dollars. I paid the shortage and was advised my mortgage payment would not be going up. A week later, I received a letter indicating my mortgage payment would be going up by $250.00, because of my property tax. I was given bad information when initially told, my monthly payment would be the same. Every telephone contact I have had with Bayview Loan has not been good because their representatives are incompetent and rude.

Bayview took over my loan. They didn't have any info on my loan. I had to give the acct. numbers everything. Then they have charged me the $60,000 for a remodification they said I got in 2012 which I never completed the remodification and have the check that was sent back where it was not completed. They have also charged me for a lot of other fraudulent charges on my loan. Very rude. Charged me for insurance when I had my own. Awful, terrible. Run. Don't deal with these crooks.

I had an appointment for my husband at the hospital for a test for Alzeheimer's, I had an out-of-pocket that I had to pay before I could have the test so I phone asking to have a direct deposit canceled for one payment, was assured it was, but of course that did not happened and it was deducted. As I type this I have been on hold with Customer Service for 36 minutes. No one wants to help me, I have requested a supervisor but to no avail, still on hold. I will never forgive Citifinancial for selling my account.
