Ordered gold 2 wks ago. Was shipped UPS then for some reason ups shipped it back then was told APMEX got it back but won’t honor the purchase. DO NOT give apmex your business. They want to charge me 100$ more. Screw them.

BEWARE, they mark up over 20%. Bought 60, 5Oz., (300 Oz.) silver bars for 10,700 last month, silver 27.45 and I know it's down to 24.50,, they charged me 35.66 per ounce. BEWARE!!!! I didn't even look at this trade until today 4/1/2021.. I am reporting them today.

Tried to sell my gold I bought FROM APMEX. They offered me close to TWO THOUSAND dollars less than the going value. TRIED TO RIP ME OFF. DISGUSTED WITH APMEX. I would NOT buy from them in future UNLESS they do WHAT IS RIGHT AND PAY THE GOING RATE.

Quality all around, with the assurance that you are buying from a trusted source. Excellent service, fast and superior. I have purchased 2 classic coins now and intend to buy more. APMEX is amazing, good prices, and trustworthy.

I have made 3 separate orders from APMEX, the first 2 came with no problem. The 3rd was said to be at the post office. It was not, apmex was notified that my silver had not arrived. They said they would put in a claim. Three days later they told me their investigation indicated the silver had been delivered to my P.O. box and my claim was declined. I now am out 48 bucks, not a king's ransom. I have e-mail proof of all that I have stated here.

The item was shipped via USPS with signature. USPS just left the shipment in the mailbox without signature. What a failure to rely upon USPS for a safe transaction. I could have easily said it never arrived.

I buy a old banknote from the company. They ship me a reprint copy and charge me about$50 dollars. It’s different from what they advertise. I pay them real money, not use copy machine copy any banknote pay the product. Up to now, still not take care my request for return and refund. It’s hard to believe reputable company sell copy banknote.

I was worried after reading reviews from here and buying from APMEX, however I've made three purchases and have had no issues. I did have questions in which Chad from APMEX answered and was polite and helpful. I've bought with both JM Bullion and APMEX. I prefer APMEX even though it's a bit more expensive. The customer service I received was outstanding.

Black Friday sale I was online at the start of the sale. 8:00 EST sharp. I added the bullion on sale in my cart, then I tried to proceed with checkout and I got "scheduled maintenance" a few times and other errors too. Then my cart went empty! Their website is a joke! If they can't run a sale in a more organised and fair way, I can't recommend to anyone to use their site. I will personally not use it anymore. Sorry, there are a bunch of other dealers that treat customers better.

Shabby shop. Does not stand behind their products. I purchased more than ~$1500 worth of merchandize from this outlet including silver coins and two coin display box. One of the display boxes are damaged in more than one places. The display box is of inferior quality. I request for a return for refund ($32). They refused citing their return policy. DO NOT SHOP AT ALL COST at this shabby outlet!!!

It looks to me like this outfit has morphed into a shady business practice. They're giving me the run-around. I have been buying from them since 2012. Good riddance to this cumbersome and price outfit!

I bought a Gold Coin from APMEX, the coin never came or got lost in the mail. They asked me to fill a lost property report with the police. They did not do anything, even after I sent the report. I waited a month with no response. I file the charge with my credit card and the file papers like I signed for the receipt which is a lie. I lost my money and I wasted my time, very disappointed, I will never going to buy from them again. You should not buy too.

You would think that a company of this size would value their repeat clients (especially the ones they designate as VIP), but you would be extremely wrong.. I spent 4 hours going back and forth speaking to their customer service department, and no one seemed to know how to unlock my account.. Bottomline is, do not waste your time on these guys. You will save time and gray hair..

It's hard to review a company I never heard of until my credit card was fraudulently charged. They apparently got a hold of my credit card, charged the account and claimed that I ordered a coin(s) or whatever from them online... They claimed that I signed the UPS delivery also, which I didn't but yet there exist a tracking number... I checked the tracking number online but it only indicated the city and state but not an actual address... Now if I had ordered it I would have known because there is ALWAYS a way to track these things; no emails exist from the order to the delivery date...

I used my credit card to purchase a coin. The money was charged from account then received an email asking for additional information. After a few days, I was rejected for making my purchase with a credit card. I felt very discriminated & devastated.

Excellent quality products at Apmex.com and very reasonable prices. Strenuously suggest to ***avoid*** Moneymetals.com because they are rude people and do not have a customer centric approach to helping customers. Also Moneymetals.com is ***very*** expensive. Stick with Apmex.com which has the highest quality products and customer service.

Purchased 20 APMEX five-ounce silver bars when spot was just under $18/ounce for $1857 January 2018. Called APMEX to sell them back today (spot hovering over $27/ounce) but was quoted a paltry $2030 by their purchasing team. Essentially the spot price of silver rose over 50% but after the dust settles I profit 9% by doing biz with APMEX. Not savvy for any investor to conduct transactions in this manner. Glad I limited my initial purchase understanding that transaction fees and administrative costs with APMEX hamper profit off the back end. Sad to see others who bought triple digits were burned. Nobody speaks of the buyback side of things. Definitely something to consider unless you're trying to hold for the long run.

I was offended by the coins APMEX shipped me for my order. I purchased multiple rolls of supposedly "Brilliant Uncirculated" coins at the going retail price. The coins I received were absolute GARBAGE. I could not give these coins away. I felt ripped off enough to the point that I deleted/closed my APMEX and I will never do business with them again. They should be ASHAMED of themselves for the garbage coins they sent me. Complete waste of time.

I was a little hesitant about ordering precious metals online. I gained confidence in the company by researching how the purchase was handled. I have ordered three times now and have been very satisfied with their service, product and packaging and by the prompt delivery of the product. Fast and friendly, I will continue doing business with Apmex????

I'm disappointed with the experience regarding a cancelled order of almost $6,000.00. I was told over the phone that the refund would be processed the next business day. It has been one month and I do not have the money returned nor any updates or explanations. I will call again Monday.

It has now been 2 weeks since I paid and they still have not put it in the mail. When I inquired they responded with rude emails. I tried to cancel the order but they will acknowledge that I want to cancel. Their Customer Service is awful and rude. I wish I never got involved with APMEX.

I have been collecting the route 66 shields made by APMEX for the past 18 months and have all but one. They made the last but one shield and made only a very small amount which sold out immediately, resulting in most people not being able to complete their collection. I am now left with 7 coins and will never get the eighth as they won't be making any more. If you buy any coins from here DO NOT BUY A SERIES as it is pointless. Other than that just buy silver rounds. You can get the 7th Jack Rabbit coin at massively inflated prices.

Worse company ever. They take your money and don't send the product. Stay away from this company. I don't even know how companies like this can be in business. They want you to send a photo of you holding your ID regardless how you paid.

Order 2 silver top coins and they lost it. Me and my wife spent so much with this company. And it’s sad I have to call to find out the latest on my own coin if they found it. You would think all the money me and my wife spent I would be treated better. First they sent me a box that was empty. Then I was told to take a picture of the empty box. So I did that another 2 weeks and no response. I had to call. Then I was told they have received my picture after I had to call but now I need a police report. No way especially what’s going on in this world and me being a ** man and what’s going on in the world. No way. Even the sales guy place a lot of money with them could not believe. This was the worst experience especially they losing my coin. And it’s get better. They mailed me a wrong coin I never ask for. I will be reporting them to the BBB. Because they took my money and never gotten my coins.

Bought 2 uncirculated and 2 circulated peace silver dollars and am happy with this purchase. That’s it. No more info to describe purchase except shipping and pricing was adequate. APMEX should provide other discount incentives to silver stackers like me and more of their product would be bought.

Hello, APMEX offer for my silver (45 rolls of 64 Kennedy halves) was approximately $4500 and they are selling the same amount for over $9800. Coinflation.com lists this amount of silver for $5048.91 with spot silver at 15.51. So I get clipped $548 below spot and they profit another $4813 on top. According to the APMEX website they only had 114 rolls for sale for the same average (Non BU 90% 1984 Kennedy Rolls). I understand that APMEX is in business to make money but I did not expect a desired profit of over $5000 minus their expenses. Based on these numbers I had to pass on their offer. I have bought from APMEX before and was completely satisfied with their sales process.

The metals I ordered arrived very quickly and the price was lower than a lot of other places. I was surprised that they didn't do signature confirmation for my order to be on the watch if you order. The only negative was that they had an order minimum but their prices were very good comparably. They also had a good selection and stock in comparison to some other online stores that were sold out. If I need to purchase again, I will definitely check them out.

SCAMMERS!!! Buyer beware. Their product is inferior and they do not stand behind it. Walmart sells their items and refuses to back it saying all complaints to be directed at company. Walmart's response to the negative public opinion is getting noticed. Shut down the horribly run company. I have 6 lawsuits I filed after being an Elite level customer (top 3%). I tried to EXCHANGE 6 defective items (the TEP packing was broken) and they refused. I'm not stupid. I doubt if gold moved in their favor they would not offer that option. The way they get you is they issue return labels at the 11th hour for the disputed items leaving you in the position to either take the damaged good or return them. They fail to recognize replacement value and diminished loss. STAY AWAY!

I love this company. They have always been fair and reasonable priced. However, they, as well as other bullion dealers around the country are overcharging way above spot. There is no oversight. When the spot went down, demand went up. Unfortunately, all bullion dealers didn’t freeze prices at the crash, they all went up as spot hit the floor. I could understand holding the premium during this crisis, but this looks similar to “price gouging” during a crisis. When we get on the other side of this crash, I question who I can trust.

Please buy your precious metals with another company online. I placed an order with them whom I used in the past. Money was taken out of my account to show the transaction went through. They advised me product will ship out the following week. Monday I check back and find my order was canceled by them because they needed to "speak to me" to confirm my order. They advised they emailed but never call because it is against their protocol. A customer would think everything was good to go when APMEX taken the full amount of the customer's bank account and would have no reason to check on the status until the ship date would take effect. Please don't waste any of your time..

Apmex is not a precious metals trader. It is a business. If the price of metals ever goes real high Apmex will refuse to buy. If the price goes too low they will just ignore the change or cite low inventory and preorders to prevent you from buying near spot. I'm sorry but if I cannot buy in the trough or sell in the peak essentially all apmex is saying is, "We aren't providing you an investment opportunity. We are selling you a product only under the conditions that it 100% benefits us." Preselling silver right now at 18, 19, 20. An OZ for standard bullion and coins while spot price has been hovering near 12 for days. Basically if you want to make money on precious metals Apmex is not the place. If you want to pay for overpriced collectors coins or 5 bucks above spot per oz of silver then this is your place.

I purchased some gold, silver, platinum and palladium bars through APMEX. The buy process was easy and the metals showed up as expected. Fast forward a few years. I go to sell them and the premiums they charge are INSANELY high. For example, palladium is trading at $2,588 an ounce right now. They are offering to buy it from me at $2279. That is over $300 below spot or almost a 12% fee. They claim that everyone is selling it right now which is why they are offering such low prices. Forgive my education in economics but if everyone were selling, wouldn’t the price of palladium be going down and not up? On to Silver, the sell price is over $1 below spot prices that is a little better 5+% margin but still too much. Don’t buy unless you plan to keep forever and pass on to your heirs. Otherwise you get screwed on the selling spread.

Excellent selection of products and FREE shipping on orders $99+, you cannot beat that! Customer service is also very knowledgeable and helpful. The account portfolio tool is wonderful for keeping track of your assets. The website is easy to navigate and very user friendly. I have exercised the option to sell back to APMEX in the past but do not recommend doing this unless it's an emergency situation. The haircut on that practice will likely result in a 50%+ loss on investment. Overall, APMEX receives 5 full stars in my book.

They quoted me a price to buy my coins at a little over $1,400. It would be worth your while to ask Apmex for a price to BUY the metal from you before you buy them from Apmex. That will give you an idea of the true cost to deal with Apmex.

Bought a several silver bars and they were not wrapped individually, they were just thrown together into a cardboard box inside another one, what do you think it's going to happen while the items are in transit? Metal items? They are going to rub against each other which means in damage on the pieces. I've bought silver from other dealers and Apmex is the only ones that they don't protect each piece when shipping. This is a great opportunity to improve your service, can you please start wrapping each piece you send in cardboard, bubble wrap or something else? Thanks.

I've been using APMEX at least four years now for purchasing silver coins and their prices and delivery are very good. I'm looking forward to purchase more silver coins and I may add some gold coins into my collection too.

After being a platinum member for a number of years I now know that Apmex does not care about correct pricing AT ALL on its site. I place an order today, **, and the price was suppose to be for $256.87. The price on my order sheet was $257.03. I was informed that by having an additional APMEX window open that it negates the 10 min price Lock window by auto updating every 60 seconds. This is an unacceptable answer and they should have offered to deduct the $0.16, as that was what I agreed to and there is NO MENTION of that kink anywhere on the site. This is my last purchase from Apmex.

I placed an order with Apmex for 30 gold Krugerrands. In 5 separate orders of 4 coins each. One order was me selling back 70 5 oz sunshine bars and then paying a difference of about $272 to receive my first 4 gold coins. I shipped back the sunshine bars and then after shipping them back Apmex refused to communicate with me or answer my questions.

I always purchase from APMEX and have never had an issue. Always prompt shipping and great website experience. Product is always as described and in condition as listed if not better. I would definitely recommend this company.

Very good catalog; Silver coins comes in very good packaging. Delivered as confirmed but delivery speed can be improved. After ordering they keep it on hold for 5 days and then only process the order. After processing it takes 5 more days to deliver. That is a lot of time for a delivery... Site is very user friendly; the Route 66 Silver coins are very nice.

I've been dealing with APMEX for a few years now. They have a great selection of coins, reasonably priced, and my orders are always delivered in a reasonable time frame. Their customer service is also very good and quick to resolve issues. Nice company to deal with.

My order was delivered as described and in a timely manner. Always a good transaction. My only concern is the insurance coverage provided by USPS Priority Mail being sufficient to cover a lost shipment. I've read reviews regarding undelivered packages not being covered due rules regarding mailing of currency. I do not know this for a fact but intend to look into it.

Three words summarize my dealings with this company: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. As a first time customer the only thing that I received from this company was a runaround, never any product. After four days of calling the order line and credit card dept, and being told that everything was ok, my gold still did not ship and my account stated that the order was declined. All of this was after they received my 3k payment.

Purchased 12 coins that were advertised as a group of about a dozen different coins. I received 12 of one kind. Very disappointed. Yes, I read the fine print, but still disappointed that I didn't get a better selection out of 12 coins.

Order took a little longer than expected to arrive but I was provided dates and they met them. Order was accurate and in good condition. I recommended APMEX to a friend because they have served me well in the past.

A very good experience with my first order from APMEX. First off, it came very quickly. It was sent out faster than any other company I have purchased silver or gold from. The order was for 4 silver coins and one silver bar. They packaged it very well. I am used to USPS destroying things that are sent to me, so this was nice to see it so well packaged. The silver was first wrapped in a little bubble envelope, then taped to the inside of a small but thick cardboard sleeve box. This double packaging method ensures that the silver doesn't slide around even if it takes a hit, and it's away from the corners where hits most often can damage them.

I can attest that this company has bad customer service. My account was disabled due to a billing error; I wasn't even informed that it was getting disabled and I never got a call back even after the payment issue was resolved, despite the fact that I had requested to speak to someone about this issue when it was resolved. My account is still disabled by the way. Oh and they also charge you ~$35 to cancel an order even a few minutes after you submit the order. Very ridiculous.

I love the selection and the preorders for upcoming coin releases. Customer service is excellent and they reward repeat customers. I’ve never had any problem or shortage on shipping of any kind. Materials are well packaged. I do wish they had a page of upcoming releases that would be updated in release date order. But they do send me emailed fairly often with new releases or preorders and I can have it alert me when the item is available. Just would be nice to have more notice beforehand.

Ordered just under $500 in old silver coins, paid for signature delivery. Never received my shipment. Turns out mailman signed for it and said he put it in my mailbox. Post office said too bad, filed for a police report but have not received it yet and after 30 days APMEX said too bad. Claim denied! After many successful purchases this one has left a sour taste in my mouth!

I owned a few 10oz Waffle Back Engelhard Bars and noticed the same bars were listed at APMEX for $315 each. I contacted their buying department and they offered me less than $170 each. So be careful make sure you know what your product is worth.

I purchased 3 silver eagles. 1986, 1990 and 1992. All were to be brilliant uncirculated. All three had a spot on the breastplate as if someone was trying to draw a nipple on her. The 1986 has a long scratch on the left field of the eagle and rim toning at 4 o'clock on the reverse. Due to the age of the coins I could have done a lot worse but I feel I overpaid for the 86.

I bought a roll of mixed date pre-1921 BU Silver Dollars. I also bought a roll of AU 1921 Morgans and a roll of XF-AU Morgans pre-1921. The expensive BUs were all sliders, and in fact the roll of 1921 AU Morgans was of a higher quality than the alleged BU's. I reported this to customer service who denied any mistake could have been made or a switch from AU to BU. The BU's all have distinct wear over the ears, the hallmark of a slider. APMEX thinks they are slick, but they lost a very good customer since the '80s. I will buy rolls elsewhere in future.

I bought 20 Silver Eagles and from Apmex and was not impressed with the quality I received. I coins were secondary market and in rough shape; some even came in the holders from previous owners. Lots of tarnish - a couple looked like they had been put in a vice. They had so many marks on them. They say '100% satisfaction guaranteed' but, you should read the return terms. It will cost you a lot of money to make a return. Hope you can avoid a problem from my experience. You can buy certified coins online for a few dollars more than you can at Apmex - this represents a much better value. I would consider what I received to be be nothing more than silver bullion.

Concave chains have more space between the gold links but Cuban chains are made with tight, smooth, solid links placed much closer together. The one I received from APMEX had the Cuban styling but not the precise links, I had just seen the same chain (22" 3.5 mm) at a local jewelers and was really impressed with the design, the one I received from APMEX was cheaper (it cost less) but it wasn't made of high quality gold and I'm very disappointed.

When I was looking for physical silver, I found many options on the internet. I even called another dealer, but they required at least five thousand dollars for each purchase, which leaves someone like me unable to afford that. Luckily, the person I spoke with recommended APMEX and I am certainly glad he did. APMEX does not have a minimum purchase amount, and gives ordinary people like me the opportunity to start investing small and working my way up as I go.

I sent a check for $9,085 to Apmex. They confirmed receipt of the check and said my order would ship on March 14, 2019. On March 14, 2019 I received an e-mail saying they had a problem with their computer banking system and they would ship my order on March 21, 2019. March 21, came and went but no confirmation of shipping no update. I called on March 25th and they could not tell me when the order would ship and possibly they did not have the inventory to ship. They said I would have to wait a few hours to see if they were possibly going to ship my order sometime soon. They issued me a $10 credit on my next order like that was going to smooth things over.

At first I did have a negative experience related to my payment method. I had made a mistake and selected the wrong payment method.

I ordered around 3/4/2019 a 1g gold and 2g silver. The USPS was supposed to delivered on 3-8-2019 then tracking number verification stopped on 3/8/2019. The internet tracking was not helpful as it did not have any other record except delivery delay. I went to two post offices to see if I can get it from them but 1st post office did not have merchandise, went to second post office where letter carriers are based and in adjacent city - not there also.

As usual, excellent company to deal with. They do what they say, keep you informed and offer great products at competitive prices. Regular customer for 12 years or so. Enjoy browsing their website when they send special offers on unique sales.

APMEX is the most reputable precious metal dealer in the country. Their website is well organized making it very user friendly. From the time I purchased my coins until I received them, I was frequently updated on the status of my order. My order arrived in a superbly packaged box.

I wasn’t happy with some of the coins & they gladly exchanged them, even paid for the return postage. I have had better luck with bullion coins, not so much numismatic coins. Personally I would like to inspect the numismatics before purchasing, but overall APMEX is an excellent company to deal with.

I have been a customer of APMEX for several years. The company offers a very extensive range of great products at fair prices and provides exceptional service. My most recent order was placed online on December 15th and was delivered in about a week including the time it took for me to mail them a personal check.

I purchased 5 Canadian Maple Leaf coins before Christmas 2018 with the intent of using them as Christmas presents. The delivery date by USPS was 24 December. They were not delivered. Worse, even when reported unreceived, they delayed in opening an investigation, so that 2 weeks later, an investigation still was not initiated. Now, I'm out both money and coins! Basically, they need to claim from insurance before either shipping new product or refunding. This is a pretty poor customer experience; it is not what a retailer in 2019 should be offering. Take your business elsewhere. For example JM Bullion has lower prices to boot!

I purchased a lot of bulk silver and sold back & returned some yrs later, no prob. But recent sale back by me to them was a problem in that they think that some items could not be sold back to them. But they were the ones who sold them to me. But they did sell them originally. I have not done biz with others, only them. OMG What had been a great relationship just went very sour. Bad boys. No truth in advert. Will seek other options.

Purchase gold and silver from APMEX and the majority of it loses value over the years. Total rip-off to the customer! Want an investment??? Purchase land or save your money! Dad purchased gold and silver in 2001-10 and it basically tanked over the years (now 2018). That's convenient for APMEX and I'm sure they do this all the time and make bank on poor customers. DON'T FALL FOR IT! If you are purchasing gold and silver for the apocalypse don't... Buy canned food and get out of the city. Gold and silver will have even less value if that happens. Unless you have access to an international market for gold and silver (not through APMEX either) then I would stay far far away from it!

Recently I ordered 2019 Silver Pandas on a preorder basis. APMEX shipped them as soon as they received their order. I received these Friday and they are beautiful. Very good company to work with, great variety of silver and gold coins. Nice website full of useful information. Delivery is prompt; never a problem. Prices are very competitive, usually the best I can find online.

I placed an order for some silver coins and tried to cancel 10 minutes later. I found the same coins significantly cheaper on JM Bullion and they had a greater quantity available. Even though it was my 3rd order over a few months, and only 10 minutes had passed from placing it, they would only cancel if I paid a fee. Really? So Apmex, this was my third and last purchase. Not a great way to earn customer loyalty. They didn't even ask why I wanted to cancel, I guess they don't care as long as they will be charging you.

Quick shipment even when using echeck. Some delay by the post office but you can't blame APMEX for that and it was still on time from the date they originally provided at order. Product was exactly as described on site.

Apmex sells rare coins. Some are quite scarce and highly desirable, at least as pictured. Apmex uses stock photos, and it discloses that the item pictured may not be the same as the item sent. For eBay transactions, Apmex does not allow returns. So the picture of the coin that you fell in love with may look dramatically different than the coin you receive. And if you do not like what you get, you are stuck with it due to the no return policy. In other words, Apmex is selling you a pig in a poke. You really have no idea whether you like what Apmex will actually send. But there is no assurance that it will be anything like the pretty picture they use to sell it. Instead there is a warning that it might not.

Orders are always complete, of the quality advertised, competitively priced, well packaged, and shipped in a timely manner. The website is easy to use and very convenient. I will continue to do business with APMEX.

Awful experience. I tried to sell back gold that I bought from them several years ago. I called on the phone and they told me to send them an email, which I did. They respond to my email 10 days later (7 business days). 10 days later the price of gold is dramatically changed. In a commodities market, there is an expectation of swift and expeditious transaction. What kind of reputable corporation can't get back to you on the next business day. Good luck. I will not be doing business with you again. I strongly advise all not to purchase or sell to them. I sold the gold bars to a local dealer, received 4% more than APMEX quote, and didn't have to deal with them. AVOID APMEX, they will rip you off.

Performed a search on eBay for a 1904 Morgan Silver Dollar. Hundreds of results came up. It became monotonous going through the results. I eventually chose the best image I saw and made the purchase. I should have read where the image was representative of what you could get. It also said any date between 1878 and 1904. I immediately tried to cancel. They don't allow cancellations. They also don't allow returns. The coin I received was nothing like the image. No cancellation. No return. Image poorly represents coin received. DECEPTIVE DESCRIPTION. ENTRAPMENT. STAY AWAY FROM APMEX.

Took a chance with APMEX. The 10 oz bar that was delivered was truly a fake. I noticed a pitted the surface that was dark. Checked with a local dealer who confirmed it was a FAKE. Called customer service and spoke with useless managers who were in complete denial. Refused to accept that it was possible. Don't know about other people's experience but mine was a nightmare. Been in touch with a lawyer attempting to find a solution.

Long time APMEX customer, multiple orders over 8+ year period. I've had exactly 1 issue (shorted 1 oz silver) which was reviewed and rectified within 1 day. Their ordering, pricing, and cancellation policies are very clear and straightforward, but this seems to be the bulk of complaints listed here and other review sites. I've read numerous complaints about credit card issues, and cancellation problems. Firstly, if you are using credit cards to purchase bullion, you are doing it wrong. Secondly, it is very clearly stated that the price is locked in at the time of sale. If you purchase X at $100 on Friday, and when you wake up Monday the price of X is now $90, and you decide to cancel your order, you will pay a penalty. I have and will continue to trust APMEX with all my online bullion purchases. You get exactly what you pay for, every time you buy bullion.

Thought about purchasing an item. Entered the quantity and went to checkout where the price changed by +2.00$, seems dishonest and so I cancelled. If Apmex can update current price in checkout, they can keep it up to date in advertisement. Don't like that.

I've been buying from APMEX for years and never had any issues. In fact, I'm expecting a delivery from them right now. My orders are always well packed and often shipped within these awesome dark blue heavy duty containers which are great for storing your stacks. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I have noticed that all the complaints I have read have been stories about missing packages shipped via USPS. My orders from APMEX have always been shipped either UPS or FedEx and I've had no problems. USPS is a horrible shipper and I would never ship anything of value using them. USPS has bizarre rules and insurance limitations, especially concerning precious metals.

When I looked at the poor reviews, I was skeptical, so I did a test buy prior to my larger investment. Placed two orders, both packages were missing a coin. Called customer service and had to take pictures of items received. My credit card was charged for the full amount. Customer rep stated that it has been happening often. Looks like they need to find a new quality control on their shipping process.

Unfortunately I was uninformed when I initially bought gold from you paying $1675.60 for Australian Lunar when spot price was $1335.59.

Took a chance with APMEX after reading reviews on their website. The 10 oz bar that was delivered was truly a scrub specimen; certain not indicative of their review statements. A large slag pocket pitted the surface of the poured ingot, and the logo was strange and barely noticeable. My local dealer said that resale of this bar would be difficult, even with my receipt from APMEX as proof of purchase. Overall, not a good first experience with this company; I won't be back.

Entered an order with APMEX September 29th. Reviewed my order 2 days later and saw that it would not ship for 2 weeks and that triggered buyer's remorse. Immediately sent a note canceling the order. Received a note from APMEX today, October 3rd, demanding $35 to cancel. The customer rep was a smarmy wise guy named Brad. He wouldn't waive the fee despite the fact that APMEX hadn't incurred a loss. Claimed the penalty was prominently displayed - it wasn't. I review contracts for a living.

Over the period of a month I called APMEX 3 times regarding making potential sale to them of graded gold eagle coin. On three separate occasions starting with first time I called I received an offer of $900, second time $700 and third time $300 on the same exact coin while price of gold was essentially the same! Whoever works in their pricing department is praying on people's lack of numismatic knowledge to rip off unaware or desperate person for a sale. This has completely turned me off and I will never buy or sell to APMEX again. Be aware of this when you try to sell to them. They may try to scam or rip you off.

I've purchased many gold coins, silver coins, and silver bars from APMEX over the years and was very happy with them until now. I am purchasing a home so called to find out buy-back procedure and they quoted me well under spot price. Their website, however, has always indicated that they will always at least buy back at spot or maybe a tad over which I now know is completely inaccurate. Find someone else folks. They claimed they are the leading precious metals retailer in the US so I assume they are very knowledgeable. They also celebrate 15 years so that should mean they know their stuff. They accept different kinds of payments - credit cards, PayPal, check, bank wires. They also allow to change payment method... using certain types of payment give you discount.
