    Updated on 04/16/2026: They sent what they have after I called sales team of APMEX from overseas. They did not have everything I paid 4 months ago so they canceled 2 to 5 items and got email that APMEX will refund me the exact amount of money I paid 4 months ago.

    Original: I am VIP status and I ordered one at Dec.9, and one at Dec 13. Both of them are still 'Order processing.' APMEX never explained why this is happening and when they will send it out but they are selling the product I am waiting with more expensive price at the moment. Is APMEX a trustworthy company? I guess not.

    My Comments: On or about 6 March 2026, I sent a package FedEx to APMEX LLC P.O. Box 269073 Oklahoma City, OK 73126-9073, containing 43 1971-1976 40% Silver Eisenhower Dollar BU for $17.50 each total $752.50 and 18 $1.00 Face Value 90% Silver 1964 Kennedy Halves BU for $36.86 for $663.55 for a subtotal of $1,419.78. My package arrived at APMEX on or about 09 March 2026. On 13 March 0838 hours, I received a phone message saying the silver I sent was all 40% silver. I acknowledged that I made a typing mistake. I was in then informed that I did not have enough silver to meet the minimum sales of $1,000. I was informed that my silver would be sent back to me.

    Several days had passed with no word from APMEX therefore, I called APMEX on or about 16 March 2026 and asked if they had sent my silver back to me and if so, I requested a tracking number for my package, “surely APMEX had been sent to me by that time”, but no, they did not. Indeed, I was told that my silver was still sitting there. I was then asked if I still wanted to sell my silver, which sounded suspicious because silver spot price had dropped over $6,00 an ounce from my original quote. Suspecting a scam, I said I didn’t want sell and told them to send my silver back to me. The representative then said I would have to pay the shipping cost. Obviously, that runs contrary to APMEX’s customer satisfaction guarantee. As of 24 March 2026, I haven’t heard anything from APMEX. Fortunately, I have all phone cons and written records that have relevance to this case.

    Placed order on 2/15/2026. APMEX emailed shipment to FedEx Oklahoma City 2/16/2026 it never progressed any further after that. I contacted them a week later about no movement on tracking number. Give it some time they said, okay. Now they gave me a claim number but all I receive are boiler plate emails stating investigation in progress. It’s now 3/23/2026 and get no response to email to Apex claims about refund. I bought coins from them years ago but something has changed with APMEX now. One physical phone call I was told we (APMEX) don’t experience shipping issues.

    Never received my metal. Filed a claim then they dismissed it because I disputed the funds with. They still have weeks of emails. No response. Customer service says they don't talk to any customers. Avoid theses people!!! Horrible company!

    I am a regular silver stacker. I understand the market has recently experienced unprecedented demand. However, APMEX has provided the WORST customer service of all bullion merchants I've dealt with. I ordered silver on 1/09/26. My order was lost by FEDEX. APMEX uses the cheapest ground shipping, so FEDEX was unable to tell me where my package was. Things happen. I opened a claim with APMEX on 2/3. Investigations should take "12-14 days" according to APMEx. I received last correspondence from APMEX regarding this on 2/13. 2/27 I wrote to inquire the status - NO RESPONSE. Today 3/5/26 I finally had to CALL to be told they decided to refund me on Monday - would have been good to have informed me of this.

    In the time it took APMEX to tell me they didn't know where my package was STILL, I received 2 silver orders from SDBullion (also priced cheaper). This is by far the worst customer service experience I've had purchasing bullion online. Absolutely DO NOT recommend this "reputable" merchant. They completely bungled my purchase AND screwed me out of the profits from the spot price of silver on the date of my purchase.

    Bullion Buyers BEWARE - this merchant offers Zero recourse, zero compensation efforts, and minimal updates. They'd rather refund you and sell the metal at a higher price in the rising market. Great customer service LOL. Maybe if they didn't cheap out on ground shipping, we wouldn't be here. Go literally anywhere else to receive your metals: SDBullion, Monument Metals, and Scottsdale Mint CONSISTENTLY outprice APMEX, and you'll actually receive your order.

    I placed a $1000 order two weeks ago and my order has not shipped yet. I was given multiple answers as to why, but no actual email follow-up has been sent and my order is still in limbo. Save your money, don't order anything from these thieves.

    I had been a member for years, the customer service is poor, if they ship an order and never comes, they are no hurry to help you. My order never left Oklahoma City where they are located. Took over a month and a complaint to the BBB just to get them to refund me. I’m still waiting on the refund. I will not recommend this company.

    Was selling some odd size pieces of gold back to them (all purchased from them). The price they offered was low.. But I wanted to test the waters with a sell back to them (only around $3,000). I was told it takes 2-3 days once received before my funds are sent. After 1 week, I called and they confirmed it had been received and they are a day or two behind. I called again in 3 days, they said tomorrow. I called again the day after that and They said Tomorrow again. Now I can not get through on the phone, My emails are not getting responded to, and the online chat does not respond. I'm going to give it to the end of this week and then will hire an attorney. The customer service has been mostly non responsive and when I do connect, they are rude.

    I sold back silver to APMEX. They have in their possession 11 days to date and have not “checked in“ my product. They are sitting at over 1000 ounces of silver and refuse to acknowledge, process, respond to inquiries, or return. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. LEGIT?

    APMEX is extremely reliable in service and over the top in security of deliveries. APMEX is my preferred choice when buying precious metals. In comparison to other precious metal dealers I have researched, I get the best for my buck.

    Place is a joke. Someone gained access to my old account I forgot I even had and placed order to pay by check. Placed new order under new information only to be told I owed 200 something dollars or I can't proceed with new order. Told them to cancel everything. Paid 430.00 for 5 silver coins and get refunded only half. Took over 2 weeks to even get money back. Stay away from the turds unless you like losing money.

    I've bought a number of coins and have never had a problem with the exception of the length of time it takes to receive the items. My payment clears electronically almost immediately, but it takes weeks to receive the (in stock) items.

    APMEX is staffed by unprofessional, ignorant, and rude personnel. Nice to your face via phone or email until there is a problem. Then, it's always your fault and there's NOTHING they can do about it or help you with. Don't ask to quotes if you are selling. Find a reputable local buyer. Their Market Loss policy is a joke -- predicated on the idea that they are ALWAYS right and you are ALWAYS wrong. DO NOT become a new customer. Do not give them your banking or CC information. STAY AWAY from this shady site.

    I have been purchasing Silver from Apmex for years. They always deliver a quality product as described on their website, and deliver on time! I have never had a complaint yet! They also have a wide selection of products, and they list if the product is in stock, or, if it's not in stock, they provide you with an approximate shipping date! Apmex is my "go to" for precious metals!

    This company are thieves and lack of professionalism. I have cctv around the property in which my packages never arrived but received email that they did. 1k of money disappeared within the company. Fed ex did not pass by my property at said date dropping off said package. But if you put a claim against the company they will block your email and leave in a limbo. If this has happened to you, sue. I’m already hiring a lawyer to get my 1k back and more. This company should be put on the gov black list . Hopefully it will after I’m done.

    I have had no problems save one. They float your money. Sneaky way to make more margin. They collect my payment into their bank and won't shop for 7-10 business days. They have my money in their bank. Slippery accounting. Business speak from their customer service desk is we need to make sure there is no problems with the payment, reality is they have my money in their bank account.

    I buy mostly silver and have been quite happy with APMEX since I started. They have good prices and a GREAT selection of all the silver you could want. Both of the coins I bought here, a 2024 restrike of the Morgan and Peace dollars, are all that I hoped they would be. Beautiful coins they are. Have you ever wished for a relative who bought good stuff when it was cheap? You can be that person if you want to be.

    SHADY COMPANY, will allow you to pay expedited 2-day shipping at a substantial charge, then direct ship through USPS and not refund. APMEX refused to answer emails, or refund. Not disclosed on site that they may ship direct by manufacture and collect FedEx 2 day or overnight charges, then provide USPS long lead ship without refund.

    I purchase a 1 gram gold bar and the package arrived sealed and empty. The little holding package had nothing in it. After researching APMEX reviews, it would be in your best interest to purchase from someone else, APMEX appear to be dishonest, unreliable, and outright predatory.

    Christmas arrived earlier than expected, delivered this evening. Originally shipped via FedEx, then passed off to (gasp!) USPS at some point. The small box was damaged in transit, but the contents - silver bullion - remained intact. My grandchildren will have several ounces of silver bullion to add to their growing stack.

    Do you think it is a really good idea to deliver your product to customers @ midnight and just leave it sitting 2 feet from the front door when the customer resides in an apartment complex. NOT SMART - DO BETTTER! Buyers Beware!!

    I would caution anyone considering buying from or selling to this company to review my experience before doing so. I sold gold bars to APMEX and experienced a theft during shipment. Unfortunately, instead of assisting with the investigation, APMEX’s actions made it extremely difficult to obtain answers or resolution.

    I was initially told my shipment was insured and that I should work directly with APMEX and that the process would take only a few weeks.

    Despite repeated requests, it took significant effort just to obtain the form needed to start the claim. The investigation then dragged on for roughly three months before APMEX denied my claim, citing the use of a previously used box, even though the box was clean, structurally sound, and fully suitable for shipping. It was a Chewy box that I thought would be least likely to result in theft and the shipping label contained no information that would lead anyone to think that anything of value would be inside. The gold bars were also packaged inside a secondary plastic container for added protection.

    After repeatedly asking APMEX for documentation of the package upon arrival, they eventually provided a video showing the box with a substantial cut along the side approximately eight inches long and two inches high, large enough for a hand to fit through. The person opening the package covers the opening with his hand and proceeds without reacting to the damage.

    When I challenged the denial and requested that UPS conduct a formal investigation, UPS confirmed in writing that APMEX, as the shipper of record, had initially declined to cooperate with their investigation requests. As a result, UPS could not release information or payment to me. After I insisted on speaking with a manager at APMEX, he eventually agreed to cooperate and submitted documentation of the shipment contents. However, APMEX still did not provide UPS with authorization to release any claim payment to me, despite my repeated requests. UPS ultimately approved the claim for the missing items but, because APMEX created the shipping label, UPS considered APMEX, not me, the shipper. UPS issued payment directly to APMEX. APMEX has not released that payment to me and has not responded to my attempts to resolve the matter.

    At this point, I am without my property, without reimbursement, and without a clear path forward. My efforts to pursue a UPS investigation resulted only in APMEX receiving funds for the loss while I received nothing. This review reflects my experience and the documented communications involved. I encourage potential customers to read others’ reviews as well and be aware of the challenges that may arise when issues occur with buying or selling through this company.

    They messed up my order. I spoke to customer service multiple times. So far it been over a month since I placed my order. And they created a “shipping label “ a week ago. And it has yet to track. This is the 3rd mistake APMEX has made with one of my orders over the past 3 years.
