    I came to AMERISAVE with modest expectations. A VA cash-out refinance in two months was all I wanted. About the 3rd day when I started getting demanding emails from my loan officer's assistant, I realized I was in the wrong place. She would ask for documents two or three times and need them now so they could get the loan done quickly. I ended up contacting my homeowners' insurance 4 times before they got what they wanted. I never received one document that was correct. Even so, I was told to sign them and sends them back.

    When I complained about them not being correct I was told not to worry about it, it would all work out. When my first pre-closing document was sent to me it had $8,000.00 on it for a VA fee that I am exempt from paying. I asked them to remove it. The next pre-closing document had the same fee with a twist - disbursement was scheduled to happen before signing. I finally pulled the plug and moved onto Veteran's United when I was the loan processor sent me my Termite Inspection to "Fill out". Now I am fighting them trying to get my VA appraisal moved to Veteran's United. I will probably end up paying for a second appraisal but it would be worth it to put these people in my rearview mirror.

    I liked the rates that were clearly made public without having to give up your zip code, your birthday and all of that stuff. Unfortunately, all AmeriSave Mortgage

    could offer me was 30 years mortgage. I would have preferred to have looked at other programs, but they didn't have it. If they gave us a 20-year mortgage. I was particularly interested in interest-only payment type of mortgage. All those things were not available to us.

    I had a great experience, and largely because maybe I ended up being assigned a great officer by the name of Mike. He is a superstar in my book. And I'm gonna recommend him to as many people as I can find. He was knowledgeable, and transparent for the information that he was offering. One of the things I was reluctant to engage them more initially was I have seen a lot of people complaining about how loan officers were not responsive. My experience was he was very responsive and very available.

    I also heard that people said they're interested in only getting the $500 initial application fee, which makes you think twice about whether you want to engage with them. When I asked Mike about that, and he made it clear, "I'm not gonna get paid until you go to closing. I'll make sure that I'll take care of you." And he kept his word. I was doing an investment property, so it was fairly expedited. The way it worked was they asked me for information. As long as I submitted the information on a timely manner, the process went through pretty quickly.

    Also, the fact that everything was done electronically and I didn't have to copy, fax and do all that nonsense, was great. I've had experience in the past where I was able to do the settlement through some electronic notary. If they could offer that, that would be a plus. If they could do stuff electronically to match all their electronic application process that they offer, that would be superb. The rates and terms were competitive. They were certainly better than what I had. Everything else is transparent, but except some underwriter would decide that, "This is the rates I'm gonna give you." That is industry-wide. If there were clear criteria what you qualify for at any given time, that would have been nice.

    There was excellent human support when I was applying with AmeriSave and online systems worked flawlessly. The process took a couple of months and it was the underwriting that took longest. Versus other experiences, there was an extra month of waiting for underwriting. But they also didn't prematurely lock me so we were able to float down. That worked out pretty well for me. Other than the underwriting taking too long, I would definitely use them again.

    I read some reviews that AmeriSave was pretty good. I also spoke to one of their consultants and I liked him. He put everything on the table, which was great. It was not like some companies that hide a lot of stuff. My application took just a few minutes and it was pretty simple. The consultant walked me through things. I'm pleased because the consultant was able to come through with everything that he promised. Even though there were little discrepancies in the middle, he took care of them and made sure it was as he said. He would call or email. Everything went well including the rate and terms of the mortgage. I went down almost two points.

    I had a great experience with AmeriSave. The mortgage rates were low so I decided that I should explore refinancing. AmeriSave’s quote was the best among the different mortgage providers I connected with. Their closing fees were on the low end, but not the absolute low. But I got the lowest interest rate which I cared more about. So overall, it was a much better deal. They offered me about a quarter-point lower than anybody else did, which I was impressed with.

    I reached out in early November and we closed by the end of the year. So the process went pretty quickly and it was a very easy case for me. Great credit score, it was a refinance, no cash-out, and we had substantial equity in the house, so just refinancing the existing mortgage, which was just a small percentage of the value of the house.

    The one thing that made me nervous was that there wasn’t a rate lock until very late in the process. I was telling AmeriSave to give me a better rate and it wasn’t locked in. But talking to Kyle, who was my loan officer, made me feel a little better. He said that it was pretty standard. Sure enough, the interest rates went up. A few interest rates, in general, went up from when I first got the quote. But in the end, AmeriSave honored the rate that they quoted me and that was what we closed at. So, I was happy.

    The process with AmeriSave Mortgage took about three months. It was exasperating because it took way too long that it should have. I kept getting requests from the underwriter needing documents that I had already submitted before and it was aggravating and very hard. It seemed like it would never end but it finally did. If it had not been for my originator, Slade, I couldn't have made it. He was phenomenal. He was there with me every step of the way and was very friendly and professional. I'm thankful that it's over with, but I'm glad that I've gotten it in with AmeriSave when I did. I'm happy with the rates and terms I received. It's going to help me a lot as far as saving some money on the interest and the term It’s going to free up some money each month for me to pay bills.

    A friend of mine who was also looking for quotes said that wwith AmeriSave, the quote was the best of all that they received so I decided to go with AmeriSave. The customer service initially was great. The processor that I was working with was very responsive. But all of a sudden, the processor I was working with was pulled and somebody new stepped in. It took a little bit longer to transition things, but the process still went pretty quickly compared to others that I talked to who went with other lenders.

    They have the My AmeriSave where you can look to see what documents are needed. But it would be very helpful if they could add something to do with just the status updates. Otherwise, the person who replaced the first processor I was working with was great. They were on top of it. They made sure to provide me the status updates that I needed so I was overall happy with their customer service. The rates I received were pretty great. Also, the initial disclosures I received versus the closing disclosure didn't differ too much. That for me is huge.

    My loan processor from AmeriSave was the first one to contact me. After talking to all the various contacts, she seemed to be the most had-it-together person that I was speaking with. So she being my first impression of the company was very positive, I decided to continue to work with her and certainly, it paid off. The process only took about 60 days and that was providing all the different information. So it actually went a lot faster than I anticipated. But the amount that we got back after the loan was $50 less than my closing documents had indicated. There must be some kind of charge, but I was just trying to figure out what that was.

    The rates and terms I received from AmeriSave were the best that I received from any of the organizations that I talked with. The most important thing for my wife was getting a rate that was significantly lower than the rate that we had. We paid a lot of points but still, the return on investment given how much we were saving and how long it would take to pay off the points was two and a half years. So it was very good.

    Michael was my first rep and as soon as I agreed to the $500 whatever, he quit. He cut me off saying, "I gotta go to a meeting right now. Make sure you turn us in right now. Right now." I was driving on the highway at that time and I had to pull over to turn in what he asked. He told me to call him right back when I did it then that was it. I could never get in touch with him again. He never returned my call. I got a new guy to take over and his name was Jonathan. He was awesome. If it wasn't for him, I probably would have said to forget the whole thing.

    It took three months to get refinanced with AmeriSave. I bought a couple of houses before and that took nothing. AmeriSave kept wanting the same stuff over and over again. Before Jonathan got involved, I kept getting emails saying, “Your insurance company's got to give us this.” I called my insurance company and told them what they had to do. They would go they already did that four times. That kept embarrassing me with my insurance guy. I kept saying I was sorry. Finally, the insurance guy talked to Jonathan and it was all sorted out right away.

    Jonathan knew exactly what was going on and he didn't pamper me out. I threatened, "I had enough." He took control of the situation and he got things done. He was pretty aggressive but he knew what he was doing. He was the one that made it happen big time. He contacted constantly. If I didn't phone him, he would phone and tell me where we stood, what was going on, and what to expect. If it wasn't for him pushing, I still wouldn't even have the mortgage.

    AmeriSave did well. Joseph was my loan processor and he did really well too. He returned my calls. But the title company was ridiculous and they stunk. I signed all the papers and two weeks later, they sent me checks to pay off my creditors. They didn't even do it themselves. Luckily, I was in town to receive those checks. Otherwise, they would have been gone. I got 1,200 bucks from the refinance. The 30th was when I cashed that check. I took a picture with it too. I got important information yesterday saying the check was no good. Luckily, I found that paper check somewhere and we submitted it.

    I had been doing an extensive amount of research on different loan providers. I went through USAA, Veterans United, and somewhere along the search, the algorithm sent me to an ad for AmeriSave. I applied just to have three different options and I got pre-approved by all three. I ended up going with AmeriSave because the interest rate was lower and the approval was actually higher.

    I spoke with Charles. He was awesome and transparent. The modeling that they were using was accurate in terms of the equity and how much money I would need in the bank to close. Everything was spot on from what was projected in their tool. My only feedback would be that the UI on their pre-approval portal might need some improvement. It's not as user-friendly as you'd want. But everything else from customer service once getting the pre-approval, working both with the underwriters as well as with my loan officer, was pretty high touch. They were very responsive and we closed in 28 days, which was quick.

    I googled and compared rates from different people and AmeriSave was the best one. The process couldn't have been much more than three weeks from start to finish. They were very fast. I talked to a total of two different representatives and both of them were very helpful and knowledgeable. A lot of it was done by email and the response was almost immediate when I would email them. But when we had a phone conversation, it was just a bad connection on the line. However, as far as communication, they were on the spot anytime I needed to talk to them. Fannie Mae’s got the loan now and somebody else is administering the payment.

    I spoke to a Manager who was able to update me on the status of my loan. However, I’m still waiting on their underwriting department to approve it due to a name variance on my wife’s credit profile. We have already given them proof of her name, but we are still being stalled.

    I began working with Reid **; Loan Originator NMLS ID #** on November 12th of 2020 after I had completed an application online to refinance my home and take out some equity for home improvements. I gave Reid $500 so that he can process the loan, and the next day sent all the documents that had been requested. Some of the documents I had to send several times for reasons I cannot explain. After I had sent Reid everything that was asked of me, several more documents were requested; in which I promptly sent. I began emailing Reid asking if he needed anything else, but he would not respond. I called him several times and eventually he would call me back, but could only tell me that he was working with his Manager on getting things finished up.

    After emailing Reid several more times and leaving more messages, he finally called me back and said that we were to the finish line. After they had originally pulled my credit I had to freeze it as I had been a victim of fraud. I didn't know that they would need to run my credit a second time, but Reid let me know that they did, and that I would need to unfreeze it. I told him no problem and that I would have it done within an hour and would let him know when it was done. I had all three bureaus unfroze and within an hour as promised. I then called Reid to let him know. He did not pick up his phone, so I left him a message. I also sent him the email confirmations that I had received from Equifax, Transunion, and Experian. I did not receive any response either by phone or email that day.

    Assuming he had what he needed I felt confident that I would soon be finishing up the loan, but instead was sent an email stating that my loan was declined the very next day. There was no explanation in the email as to the reason. We have excellent credit, have plenty of income, and have very little debt. Our house even appraised $25,000 higher than what we needed in order to get the cash back that we had desired.

    I called Reid in a state of shock but he did not pick up. I also emailed him, but he never replied. I eventually called Annmarie in customer service and she was very apologetic and stated that she would put my loan back in pending status and that she would see to it that Reid's Manager was made aware of all that had been transpiring. Five days later I had to call again and was told that a Manager would be contacting me. I have not heard a thing from anyone. I know for certain that I qualify for this loan as I am in Finance myself. I am extremely disappointed in the level of service I have received.

    AmeriSave was offering better rates in comparison to other providers. My rep Jeremy was good. There were a couple of times where I was trying to get a hold of him and the underwriter's assistant. Unfortunately, they wouldn't return my calls. They'd finally get back to me some three or four days later. Other than that, Jeremy was great. He was able to work with more money to get rid of PMI. Things ended up working out better out than I thought originally because my house got appraised for more. I'm happy with AmeriSave. Going with them was straightforward and I didn't have to do a lot of work. Everything was through texting and Jeremy made it pretty easy. It was a good experience.

    The total experience was abysmal. At first glance you will think that you are onto something good. But as a wise proverbs says, if it seems too good to be true - it probably is. I worked with Erick Zacarias ** Loan Originator NMLS ID #**, and was essentially provided inaccurate information that lead me to make unwise decisions. This company is more interested in getting you to pay the $500 to start the refi process rather than being completely transparent. Beware of AmeriSave, do more research and use a different lender.

    We had some home remodeling we wanted to do. I had a bit of equity in the home and interest rates were super low, and I just thought it was a good time to get a mortgage. AmeriSave's online application process was easy. I was skeptical about it. And I had people tell me, “You should just go to a local bank.” But a lot of times, you have to open accounts with the bank you're going through, and the rate didn't appear to be as low. So, I took a risk and gave it a shot. You fill out one of those interest kind of things, and you start getting responses from everybody under the sun. That part was a little annoying. But it was good to be able to compare rates. It was easy to do research online about the different companies. I was always a little skeptical about things of that size online.

    The rep was very knowledgeable. He spoke well. He seemed to be very helpful and was responsive. He usually checked in with me every couple of days.     Well, after months of this process, the latest loan processor was able to get this to the stage for me to meet with a notary. The problem though is they updated my loan estimate today and once again increased my discount points. I can't help but think this is a shady move since they did this a month back and expected me to sign off on it. Amerisave agreed to fix this if I did not abandon the loan, but took them many days to rectify it but their first fix was still higher than the agreed upon %. Now, just as we are going to sign tomorrow, they changed the points again today! How can you trust this company? They say the right things and are mighty polite, but beware! If they tried this on you, please note it so no one else gets burned!

    Xavier ** was a wonderful rep five months ago when my refinance took only 22 days from open to close. This latest refi started on 7/31/20 and just closed today 10/30/20, 92 days later purportedly because of his failure to properly fill out the application. It was exceedingly more difficult to get any kind of relevant information from him as the time went on. I had to engage the customer service team who were absolutely FANTASTIC.     AmeriSave got my refi closed in two months when I told them I was facing a balloon payment deadline. I know this is was a super rapid response because, when I complained about the slow pace of the process to the notary who came to the closing, he told me this was actually super fast. He pointed out that, in his experience, the usual timeframe to closing was 5 or 6 months due to the massive overload of applicants during this time of ultra-low interest rates. He helped me to understand how AmeriSave responded to my urgency and got the job done for me in record time.

    Everyone who assisted me was professional, helpful and responsive. The electronic upload system worked very well for the most part and, when the system failed, the agent helping me allowed me to simply email a pdf to him/her and they took care of it. The electronic signature system also worked well and made the process very easy.

    On the down side, AmeriSave changed my assigned staff member 3 times and I was asked repeatedly to provide the same docs I had provided already, and to answer questions I had already answered. However, I understand that nothing is prefect in this world, especially in a complicated transaction like real estate and mortgage loans. All in all working with AmeriSave was a positive and fruitful experience. I would recommend AmeriSave to my friends.

    To start, the initial meeting with the agent went great. It appeared things were going to go smoothly. After the first meeting, the agent took long periods of time to get back to us with how we intended to move forward with our requested refinance. When I had questions or concerns they were over looked and I started to receive the same initial introduction of what the underwriters required in order to proceed with the loan.

    My husband and I own successful businesses, have 800 plus credit scores and have secured dozens of loans over the past 35 years. This does not seem to matter with AmeriSave. They have made me believe that each of their clients are being profiled and put into a racial category and the categories mandate a certain type of scrutinizing. I also believe that minorities should look elsewhere other than AmeriSave to do their financial business.

    There were phone system issues with every person I spoke with such as static on the lines or random disconnections. I also had issues with the automated communications that were sent out even after a task had been completed. It seems that timing was off because I'd receive a notification to complete something that had already been done days before.

    It was challenging to work through the process with the company due to these issues and really not having a very User-Friendly Interface. I've worked with many different lenders' websites and AmeriSave's was by far the least intuitive or even informative. My representative was very nice and did her best to overcome these issues and I was able to close on time with the rate that I wanted.

    The AmeriSave rep called and I picked up the phone and things went pretty well with the refinance. It took about two months. The timeframe was a little longer than I expected. The frustrating part was more associated with their website because it would not register what documents I already sent through emails and whatever was updating, so the website was asking me for the same documents again. The other was that the website was connected to automated text messages. Every time something would happen on the backend, it would send me a message saying that more documents were needed from me and I would get super confused. Other than that, the rep was very good. He’s working with multiple clients. But even if he wasn’t available right away, he would reply to my emails by the end of the day or early next day.

    When the application was filled in and we looked at the details, there was an estimate of about $2,100 to be given back by the lender. After that, I went to a couple of places and compared them to other companies. The numbers that were given to me to me upfront were the ones where I picked AmeriSave to be better than the other companies. But if I would have to go by the numbers at which I closed in the end, it was no different.

    AmeriSave's customer reviews were pretty okay compare with others. I was shopping around just getting in touch with a couple companies. I knew what I wanted, and AmeriSave was the closer one to offer me what I was looking for. I went with the fixed rate loan. When I purchased the house two years ago, the rates were different. I had two RVs, and I wasn't able to sell them at the time. I sold them in the meantime and I added more money to the principal. The primary idea in getting into the program was to lower my payments.

    The online application process was pretty okay. I wasn't able to finish it properly. I was able to finish it with one of the agent, Leo. He was able to help me to finish. It wasn't that quite easy, but I got the main idea then I was able to ask more questions with the right person, and then he was able to finish it for me. The whole process took a couple of weeks. It wasn't only them. It was me, too. I was self-employed, and they needed some paperwork. My accountant was sick at the time. When he came back, it was almost past a week. So, they've been waiting on me too. It was a mutual thing. As soon they had the paperwork, they moved pretty fast. We closed the loan. We accomplished what we set out to do. Leo was pretty good and wonderful. He was knowledgeable. He got back to me pretty fast. I was very comfortable working with him.

    At the beginning, they really seemed to be a well oiled machine. Then came the loan estimate - the agent added $5,000 to my loan to save me a net $100 per month. Then he claimed that he was actually saving me much more than $100 per month because he was comparing to my current payment. His analysis was incorrect though. I only had to increase my monthly payment by $100 a month and the $5,000 went away.

    I asked him time and time (and time) again to change the terms of the deal so that no discount points were added and that there was $0 cash either in or out at the end of the transaction. He sent me proposal after proposal, all of them were wrong. He also argued that I would save money because of the way he counted my escrows. I know for a fact that regardless of what I do with my mortgage, my escrows will not change. This just demonstrated to me that he didn't know what he was talking about.

    Finally, I'd had enough after three weeks of this nonsense and I asked for my $500 back. I called them twice and they said they would call me back with confirmation. They never did. I received an email three days later from the agent saying I would get my money back in 5-7 business days. That didn't happen either. I'm now filing a dispute with my credit card company over this matter. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with this company. It will save you a lot of trouble.

    We wanted to reduce our payments, and we liked AmeriSave's low rates. We went with a 15-year fixed program. It was a lot of paperwork back and forth, and a lot of paperwork lost and re-entered. There was quite a bit. It seemed like most of the documents that I would upload to the website were scanned incorrectly and I would have to resend them. Also, it seems that too many departments are involved and one department doesn't know what the other is doing. I had multiple people that I dealt with, which was part of the problem. It would have ran smoother had there been just one person.

    Other than that, the reps were friendly enough. There were just a lot of things that had to be done multiple times, which was aggravating. But their customer service people were nice. Also, they addressed things in a timely manner. If there had been better communication between all of the different people that were involved in the underwriting, it would have been a lot smoother, and we wouldn't have had to submit documents multiple times.

    We had two people that we dealt with, Mr. Ken and a woman. Initially, we did our mortgage in December where we totally went for the first time from a conventional to a VA. Then they called us in September and said the rates were even lower so we did it again. Some of the things I had, they had from my first go-around this year that they needed.

    I was extremely comfortable with the process before. This time, I was up all night and couldn't sleep. The woman that has been there for six months had no idea what she was doing. She caused this refinance to take three months. They needed updated bank statements. I faxed all this stuff, which she kept claiming she wasn't getting. I kept resending the same stuff over and over again. I was also emailing her and leaving her voice messages with no response so my husband would then turn around and deal with Ken. He was pissed too because he told us that he's got to go back and clean up the mess that she started. We felt bad for him too. The second time around with this woman was a terrible experience and gut-wrenching. I have friends that are going through the same thing because they're buying and their closings are longer than normal. AmeriSave needs to get more experienced people to help them.

    But it was perfect with Ken. He would take us 99% through stuff. He was a pleasure to work with and extremely helpful. I'm an old lady and he even helped me with some computer things. He was a sweetheart and told me some tricks that we didn't know. Overall, the rates went down and I'm saving over $300 a month in a year.

    I had previously worked with AmeriSave and this one was a refinance. The loan processor that I worked with was always available if I had any questions. Everything went very well. One thing that I liked about AmeriSave as opposed to other lenders was that I could get online and see options in various lengths of mortgage, under the 30-year fixed category, and then the 20-year fixed, and the 15-year, and the 10. Then, they had a similar kind of menu of options or offerings under adjustable rate mortgages and that was very helpful. I could not find that kind of information with other lenders and that was the thing that really drew me to AmeriSave to begin with.

    Also, my past experience was very good and so I went with Amerisave again, this time, the sequel, and everything went well, except for when we got to closing. He handed off a package at that point to consider in a quarterback, for processing to different specialists that look at it. The day of closing, we still didn't have a definitive closing disclosure document. It wasn't his fault, it was just the way they break up and divide responsibilities for reviewing and processing loans. That got a little squirrely. When I notified him that I was having a problem, he immediately got on it and worked within his network of the supporting cast, trying to get that straightened out afterwards. I would have preferred to have all that information upfront before we went to closing, but it worked out all right.

    The loan processing itself gets looked at by different people for different reasons and then they come back to the loan processor and inform them that it's gotten through stages and there are 13 stages that it goes through. They need to tighten up the coordination within that network of the supporting cast that reviews the loan application to avoid coming up on the morning of closing and not having the disclosure correct.

    AmeriSave was cooperative. They had given me all the options on the table and proper advice on the best way to move forward. The person I worked with was really open and he kind of advised me the best way to move forward. For the underwriting, I was not that happy with it. I didn't get a lot of communication. I did have to check back with them every time. And as far as the closing, there were a lot of goof-ups. That was something that I wasn't very happy with AmeriSave. But eventually, they did fix everything and they responded to my emails. I'm glad that it worked out.

    AmeriSave could improve with their communication. They never kept me updated on the communication on what was going on. They had a lot of goof-ups on the day of closing despite my request. With the closing, I wouldn't say that was a part of AmeriSave, but the settlement agency made slight errors as well on their front. All in all, closing was not a very good experience for me. That could have been done better. They were not very professional on some aspects but the mortgage agent was very knowledgeable and gave me a good picture of the entire flow process.

    When I went online, AmeriSave was one of the top two or three mortgage companies. The gentleman, Tyrese, listened to me when I was saying what I wanted to do. Then the first person I called from somewhere else tried to talk me into putting more money into my mortgage, so I'd have to pay off some bills, and I didn't want to do that. He said that I should think about it. He didn't listen when I told him I wasn't interested. I ended up calling AmeriSave and refinanced with them.

    The application process was surprisingly easy for a disorganized person like myself because I had everything I needed. I just faxed everything over. Tyrese would tell me if something was missing or if he had everything. He was really a nice guy. When I first spoke to him, he had this settlement date and he even gave me a reason why he wanted that. We hit the target date that we wanted which was 30 days and it worked out. I also spoke with a woman that was very nice, personable, and pleasant. She called me on her own time because she was having a problem with her phone and she didn't get to me earlier that day. She gave me her cell phone in case she couldn't get me or I couldn't get her at the office in case I needed it.

    I paid a lot, but it is what it is. I'm very happy with AmeriSave and I would recommend it as well as Tyrese to anybody. My neighbor went with somebody else and she didn't talk about the person that helped her do it at all. I told her to call Tyrese and gave her his phone number because I really wanted people to have a good experience. Then I still wanted to get an equity loan and I called Tyrese and asked for his advice. He said he would go local first because AmeriSave doesn't do equity loans.

    I did LendingTree and the rate was guided through them to AmeriSave. I dealt with Chris to work the rate out on how I wanted to get the loan. He was my main guy and he was awesome. The closing guy was great as well. But all of the subcontractors through the entire process suck. They were slow and I had to get an appraiser on my own because they weren't able to find one for my area. Then the closing title company was terrible, rude, and didn't respond to either Chris or me or several other people. They put our file in with a lady that couldn't work remotely. She was having a hard time, she said she was used to working with paper and not electronics. I sincerely don't recommend to AmeriSave using that Fidelity Alaska title company ever again.

    The closing lady that closed with us was a third party and she did well. But everything around that whole closing thing took an extra two weeks longer than what it was supposed to. I had to deal with the bank that I was paying off. We had put payoff fees and everything in there, according to the estimates on closing, and it all ended up being a lot longer. I had to go back to my original bank and ask them to waive the late fees because it took so long to do the actual payoffs. And so, that whole third party piece was a complete disaster.

But the process is somewhat lengthy and complicated. We went through two mortgages on two different properties. There was a lengthy demand for information but we got through one. But the other one is still ongoing and it hasn't come to conclusion. It'll be about two and a half months now. That's a lengthy process. We dealt with the initiator and the processors. I was looking at maybe a $210,000 loan and I ended up doing 211-something, maybe because AmeriSave was not clear on my last monthly payments to the other lender.     The application was smooth. The process was straightforward. The process of doing it online was excellent. There were documents that were required and I was able to get to them. I sent them information regarding HOAs I don't have and submitted letters regarding that. Right now, the way everybody's refinancing, the process is a little longer than normal. It normally takes three to four weeks. But I was pleased with the service in which they handled it. Whenever I called, they returned my calls. Whenever they needed something, they let me know. The two individuals that actually did it were phenomenal and outstanding. When I told them what I wanted to do, they were able to process it in a timely manner. The biggest hang-up was the processor on that end. Whenever I email them or I call them, they call me right back within the day.

    AmeriSave was better than my credit union, which they were able to beat and I would use them again. In fact, I've recommended them already to two individuals and one is actually in the process.     I needed to refinance because I wanted to pull some money out to do some work around the house. I had a friend that works for AmeriSave and I happened to know that he was a mortgage loan originator. I got in touch with him and we made everything happen pretty quickly. It was pretty neat how easy the process was. It was simply filling out the application and letting the process take place. I enjoyed that and that the reason why I would recommend AmeriSave to others.

    It took right around two months for the whole process to go through. But that's also because I had a VA loan. The VA takes a little bit longer. My stuff sat on the VA underwriter’s desk for probably three weeks before it actually started moving. But the rest of the process went really quickly. During the process, my rep was Jason. I also got a great rate. I got a 2.5% on a VA refi cash-out loan. That was a tad higher than what a normal refi would cost because it was a cash-out refi. I am very happy with it. It was .75% lower than the loan that I was in so that was kinda nice. I liked AmeriSave so much.

    I did a refi with Amerisave and that took less than a month. It was was pretty painless and you can do everything from home which I liked. Back in the day, you used to have to go in and go through all the process. I dealt with Brandon and he was very helpful. He was always there if I had a question and he would call me back. Oh yeah, a lot of promises, wonderful promises. Next week, next week, always next week. After 4 months I found another company who completed the whole mortgage process in 4 weeks.     AmeriSave is great and we are happy we did it. We lowered our mortgage by $160 a month which was just in time for Christmas. Pretty much everything went great. But we weren't very happy with our loan processor because there was very poor communication with her. We were supposed to close earlier than we did but she did not get the documents to the notary and she not get in touch with me. There were multiple left messages and she did not call back. But the loan originator, Mike, saw it through to the end and took care of everything. He was wonderful.

    Also, some parts of the process involved a lot of legal signing. I wish there was someone that could have maybe coached us through so we didn't feel like we had to read every single document. When we purchased our house, we had a trusted Realtor with us and she had already been through so many. We trusted her to talk us through things without reading every document. When refinancing, it was a little scary at first. We weren't quite sure. Luckily, Mike helped us out a lot. But that wasn't really his part. If Amerisave had someone on hand that could be on the phone at the closing, that would make the situation easier.

    AmeriSave's closing costs were half of Quicken Loans so we went with AmeriSave The process was very easy. Our loan originator was amazing and extremely helpful. But the processors weren't as up on their toes as they might have been to anticipate the underwriter's needs. Out loan processor kept asking for more and more after she said everything was okay. As soon as I mentioned that it was getting annoying, they switched to someone else. Other than that, the response was still quick and we were very happy. My caveat would be to make sure that you'd have a competent loan originator. The application and underwriting took more than 30 days and it was pretty quick. The funding took longer than the approval, but that was to be expected. Everything was handled well and we had a very positive experience.

    I found AmeriSave online and it appeared that their advertising communicated well that we would save money. When I called other places and got what their rates would be for the type of loan we were wanting to do, AmeriSave was better. We knew we had a potential lien issue, which we took care of but once that was taken care of, we thought that everything would have been just going down the highway at warp speed.     We found out, at that point, that our debt-to-income ratio was too high. That should have been very clear at the time they learned about the lien. They knew our credit and income. We should have known that ahead of time so that we could have done what we needed to do. I remember speaking with the guy and he said that if we took care of that $83 bill, then they could make that. So, we took care of it and it wasn't taken care of. The lien was totally off and it took some time to clear it out because they just couldn't take the paperwork we sent them as gospel. They had to wait until it went through the clearing legally which took about another month for that to happen.

    The company had used my credit cards for $17,000 so, the company paid it to zero. It cleared everything up but that took about another four weeks to begin the process again because they didn’t believe that we were going to qualify. There was very little communication in that process because when we paid for that bill and released 17,000 some odd dollars from our debt to credit, that made it fly. We waited and communicated a number of times to get back with us and the rep wouldn't communicate with us.

    Other things were getting approved and so, we were pushed back to the end of the pile. The way that we got to the front of the pile was we called one of the executives of AmeriSave and let him know the whole story. 30 minutes later, we were put in the back of the heap. They had to get a re-clearance of the house being approved and about two to three days later, they had to get the guy who had assessed it to send another note again that it was still the same. And he did. After that happened, we were just about three days from closing. So, in terms of getting the job done, it was great. Looking at a couple of the glitches that were on our end that we took care of and to clear the hurdles of those glitches took a while. But then once those hurdles were taken care of, it seemed like we were waiting in the back of the pack. We thought we were right there.

    It was about a three-month ordeal but once we got what we needed to do, it went well and we were fine with how that worked. We understand there were some things that we needed to clear up on our credit. They didn't take just a word for it. I went to Chase and we paid them off. Chase immediately, on my request, sent a payoff letter, which I had addressed to Anh, the financing person of AmeriSave. I had it sent to me and I forwarded it to him with his name on it to show that it was legit. It still needed to clear credit on the side of Chase in order for them to move ahead, but it was all okay. We got everything done.

    Our only biggest frustration right now is they set January 1st as a date for our payment and then gave us six days of leeway make it. I called yesterday and asked if we could find a way to make this payment on the 17th of every month because that works with our payroll. It works with everything. We're scrambling to figure out what we have to do to now change how we pay the mortgage. It would just be so much sweeter, to be able to have it due on the 17th but the person I talked to said we couldn't do that. And when I hear things like that, what I'm hearing is I'm not talking to the right person. We might have to pay a fee to change that or we might have to do something, but nothing is “I can't.” But what I failed to do is I should have said, “No, no, no. When’s our payment due?”

    During closing, I asked the lady who came to sign the papers if we could have that changed since it was due on the 1st. She said that we could. Once we get this whole thing there, I could give them a call and they would change it. That wasn't the truth of it. Now we're stuck with this thing of being on the first to the sixth, which makes it difficult. Whereas with the former company, we were due on the 17th. So, I wish that that could be dealt with. Some of the issues were ours and if everything was right, we would have sailed through quickly. But we had some hurdles to overcome, which I don't put towards AmeriSave. It’s been alright and we had to accept some of our responsibility. It’s right back to the date of change, which would be helpful. But other than that, it's good.

    I started looking into refinancing in order to lower the interest rate since rates have been so low lately. I'm trying to pay off my properties sooner as well. When I checked online, AmeriSave had a good deal in terms of rate and in terms of reviews, they were also good. The process and the loan processor that I got was great. Adam was very responsive, knowledgeable, on top of things and very client service-oriented. He did an outstanding job. The problem that I faced was with the title company that AmeriSave worked with. It was an absolutely awful process with them. The closing was rescheduled about five times. It was unheard of. I never had anything like that and I had had maybe four properties before. It was extremely poor communication and poor customer service on their part.

    The manager got involved. He made sure that things went through and we finally got the closing done but it took me a long time. I started talking to Adam early in September. He got all my documentation to get me approved and get going. I first tried to close the end of September but because of the title company, we didn't close until mid-November. The lender and the mortgage parts with AmeriSave were fantastic but people should not work with their title company. AmeriSave should pick federal companies that do a better job. I already recommended to a friend and told her to get her own title company.

    My experience with AmeriSave was not good initially. I thought that I was dealing with a scam because of the duration. It was mid-September when I submitted the application by the internet because a friend of mine suggested I try AmeriSave given the fact they had good ratings. Then, a gentleman called me within a few days. Surprisingly, I thought it was a scam. He said, “Let's meet tonight.” I did have a friend who met with me and him by way of the internet in terms of submitting the application process, after which, it took about a month for someone to get back to me. That was on the heels of me calling AmeriSave customer service because I was never given a customer service point of contact. This gentleman, at the very end, didn't give me any anticipatory guidance regarding, “Okay, you may find that you are going to get more requests from me about additional paperwork. If you may find any questions, call customer service.”

    I didn't get that anticipatory guidance about what to expect to assure that there's a seamless application process. So then, it was a month later that I started raising hell. I had to call over three days to find somebody who could shake the tree to say, “Hey, something's not right. Nobody's getting back to me.” My initial point of contact literally would not respond. I was done. Then, I just thought, “Oh my God, this is a scam.” Finally, this one customer service representative, after I told her I wasn't a crazy lady, she got me in contact with this one AmeriSave loan officer who said, “Yeah, this isn't right.”

    Even my initial point of contact’s boss didn’t get ahold of me. I left voicemails, too. Within six weeks later, this one gentleman called me and said, “I heard there’s a problem.” So, I had two people working on it at the same time. One initially said, “This is not us,” and then him. His name is Todd. He was fabulous and he walked me right through the process, which is what I expected.

    This is our second mortgage with AmeriSave. It started two years ago. We moved to a new area and we didn't know anybody. I was with another company that put out a couple of good programs and personal finance money. So, they sounded pretty reasonable but once we dealt with them, I didn't like them. So then I reached out and I started to look. I stumbled across AmeriSave. We made a phone call and this guy by the name of Trevor called me back. This was two years ago. Our first mortgage was $85,000. It was minimum mortgage and not a lot to get excited about. But you these guys jumped through hoops and put up with all our crap as far as, “Well, this house, well, that ain't gonna work. We gotta go with this house. That ain't gonna work.” It took about four times the first time.

    The processor guy's name was Matt. You couldn't ask for a better experience. Two years later, we sold our house and we looked for another one. Lo and behold, we didn't think about calling anybody else but Trevor. They're not pushing anything else. You couldn't ask for a better clean-cut deal. The application and underwriting process were not long at all. We jumped through the hoops on a couple houses here because things didn't pass inspection and they didn't work out. We couldn't get a clean deed on the first house we chose. We couldn't get a clean offer to purchase because the name of the person who signed the offer to purchase wasn't on the deed. In that case, because there was no appraisal, that took about four weeks. It took them about five days to get to us because of all the backlog because of the low mortgages. Then it took about three weeks to process it.

    Then we were on hold for about two months. But then with the house we ended up buying, there was an issue with the solar panels. So, that got called off, but then we were able to resurrect it and got a new offer to purchase. We renegotiated on the house. Once it got going, it was quick. AmeriSave is great. There's no crap. There's no comparison to Rocket Mortgage or any of these other people. The only complaint I have is I don't have Trevor's address so I can send them a little thank you gift. Trevor’s a great guy and he does his job very well. We've had two different closing attorneys. And both these attorneys have said something positive about AmeriSave. It’s a pretty good company.

    I refinanced about a year and a half ago from an interest rate of 4.5 to 3.5. I'm going to be here for the rest of my life in our new house so I thought that when the rates go down again, I would take a chance and try to get down in the 2s. When I went out and looked, AmeriSave was the first one that mentioned 2.5% for 30 years and I went for it. Since I'm going to be here for another 30 years, I would pay a few points and it would take me a couple years to pay those back but after that, it's going to be clear savings. Our first original purchase was horrendous with the amount of questions and more research that I had to do to find things for them. Then when I refinanced, it was a little easier but still long drawn out and you do not know where you were in the process. When I refinanced with AmeriSave, I was all set to go through all of that again. But it was easy as pie.

    Matthew, the guy I worked with, was terrific. He answered all my questions upfront and ran a whole bunch of different scenarios for me. I asked him if he would commit to that or was that him selling me something. He said that what he was telling me was what I would be locked in at if I do it. So, everything he said to me was right on target. This isn't my first home so I've been through a lot of financing and refinancing in my lifetime. This, above all, was one of the straightforward. The website was totally easy to work with, you knew right where you stood and you knew exactly what you were looking for. I didn't have to waste time on a phone looking for things.     I started my loan at the beginning of July 2020. It wasn't funded until the middle of November 2020. (Over 4 months). During that time I was passed from the original person to two additional people. Every two weeks they asked for more documents. I always responded within 24 to 48 hours. They almost never communicated by telephone. I would only occasionally receive a response to my email inquiries (and then, the responses were very short and unhelpful). The same documents were requested over and over. They told me my interest rate was guaranteed. Then they said it was floating. Then it was fixed again. Frankly, this company is too busy to give any customer service. Go somewhere else.

    My loan originator Jeremy ** is very professional and Sharp. My expectations were that the loan would be done in say 45 days. I started this 8-31-20 and now Closing in on 90 days. The problem I see and am experiencing is that the Loan Agent Larry L. has failed to get back to me many times even after promising that he would. I know the industry is slammed. My last contact this morning was a loan estimate (again) since this has been delayed a bunch of times, but the kicker was that they boosted my loan origination fees thousands of dollars. No explanation, they just expected me to blindly sign the document. My advice is to not sign any documents without thoroughly examining.

    Our refinance process with AmeriSave began on 9/14/20. We had researched and contacted other mortgage companies, and settled on AmeriSave due to one reason that we were told we could close within 2 - 3 weeks. This time frame was based on the fact that we had just closed on our new home 7 months prior, therefore, all documentation AmeriSave needed from us was readily available and submitted within one day. The 2 - 3 weeks is now entering the 10th week, and we don't seem to be any closer to closing than we were in September.

    The most frustrating part of this ordeal has been the lack of communication. It often takes leaving voicemails followed by emails to get a return phone call. Our request to speak with a supervisor has yet to be answered. When we push back we are often met with the need for more and repetitive information. They have requested some information from us at least 5 times. While I understand these are busy times they need to inform customers of the actual closing time frame. We're almost to the point of pulling the plug and walking away from the $500 deposit.

    My application was submitted 9/2/2020 with everything completed by 9/29/2020, but I have yet to close my refinance (75+ days). It took me three weeks to get management on the phone (Jonathon **), but I am still in limbo. I have had to leave dozens of unanswered emails, voicemail messages, customer service escalated messages, etc. Management promises to call back but never does. I was advised by management I would have my disclosure documents and be ready to close over a month ago. I am just being strung along at this point. Overall I have spoken with 2 different managers and they both keep promising I will have everything by end of business. This has gone on for months now.

    I have been in the real estate business for over 15 years and have NEVER had a loan take this long to get cleared to close. My initial application was submitted on 9/4/2020. I am STILL waiting. While initially impressed with AmeriSave's client portal as a fast and easy way for their underlings to request information, I have since discovered that they are far from efficient. I have had to repeatedly submit the same requested information multiple times and some requests came with no explanation.

    For example, I signed a release authorizing Amerisave to retrieve copies of my tax returns and then subsequently was asked for wet-signed copies of my returns that were submitted by CPA electronically. Just today on 11/12/2020 (over 10 weeks since starting this odyssey), I was asked AGAIN for a copy of my insurance showing Amerisave as the Mortgagee. I had previously uploaded this weeks, if not months ago. If this wasn't enough, these seemingly endless delays have also caused me to lose my rate lock, too. Amerisave has been so disappointing and unresponsive. After even asking for an 'urgent request', I was told that my loan was elevated to Senior Management. My Loan Originator and his supervisor have consistently underperformed. Days later, I still have no idea if and when this loan will ever close. At this point, I have absolutely NO CONFIDENCE this loan will ever get done and have begun to explore other options. BUYER BEWARE!

    The interest rate from AmeriSave was very attractive and they had some good reviews online. I was refinancing my primary and my secondary home. The process was really easy and very straightforward. The loan processor told me what they needed. They sent me a list of stuff and then I just sent everything to them. If they'd need anything verified or clarified, they'd just call me. If I'd have any question, I'd just email them and they'd respond to me very quickly. The application and underwriting on my first house took 40 days and my second one took 36 days.

    The online application process was very easy to follow. But the new layout of the website doesn’t really show me what stage I am in. So, usually, I have to email the loan processor to ask him whether my application goes to the underwriter or is it done. If the new website can show the stage of the mortgage process, it’s gonna be really easier and a lot better for the users to know where they are and they don’t have to call the loan processor many times. The loan processors are super busy as well ’cause they have to work on so many different applications.

    The representatives from AmeriSave are really friendly and very professional, especially David. He helped me a lot with two properties. He’s very helpful and super informative. He lets me know what I need and very clearly. We talk just like friends, in a way that we respect each other. Our conversations are not too formal and there's no tension. So, that made me feel really comfortable to work with. He helps me and then I respond to him. I am satisfied with the rate and the term that I got.     I googled the top 10 mortgage refinance companies and AmeriSave popped up at number two. Number one was Quicken but I've worked with them before and I really don't care for them so I went for number two. The process was a real pain in the butt. They were having technical issues really bad so I couldn't open the application or I couldn't do a lot of the stuff that I needed to do on the portal. I ended up having to do most of the stuff talking to the finance guy and he was putting it in for me because I couldn't open it. Their online portal is super hard to navigate. Even once they got it working, I had to call him and have him help me navigate through it. It was even hard for him to navigate on some spots. If their online portal would be easier to navigate, that would help a lot of people out.

    My rep was awesome. I'm a first responder so I work a lot of overtime. The only time I was available to talk to him was after work sometimes. I'd call him 8 o'clock at night which is 10:00 or 11:00 his time, and he would answer. He was really informative. He told me it was only gonna take about three weeks to get me approved and three weeks to fund, and he was right on the money. The process was pretty quick. A buddy of mine went through somebody else and we started the same day. He's got like an 805 credit score and I'm in the low sevens. He's still waiting to fund. So, Amerisave is really good. I would definitely use them again.

    I realized that there were going to be delays because they're overwhelmed with the COVID situation. But considering the circumstances, AmeriSave did well. There were a few postponements but some things were out of their control, which I understood. I paid discount point in order to get the rate lower but the amount that I had to pay was fair. My loan officer made every effort to get the loan closed as soon as possible. She always apologized if there were any delays. So she pretty much kept me in the loop to the point where I never had to call her. It was so funny. Every time I was thinking of calling her, she would call me or somebody would call me and say that they were updating me on what was going on with my loan, which I thought was good. With some companies, they don't make any follow-up calls.

    It was good because they told me what they were missing, and sometimes, maybe I could get it quicker, because I know the route to take or who to communicate directly to send them what they need. The process with AmeriSave was pretty simple. They were really responsive and their rates were reasonable. The discount points were reasonable. It all depends around the time you applied for a loan because AmeriSave may not have reasonable rates. But at that time when I was doing my closing and I did my research and compared to other lenders, they seemed to have the least upfront costs.

    I went online and Amerisave had the highest rating. They did the most business and had the best customer satisfaction so I contacted them. The person that did our initial contact was good. But I kept getting all of these requests that they needed something and specifically, my insurance. I contacted the insurance company again. My insurance company said they had already sent what Amerisave was asking. I asked him several times before he finally stopped sending me that email. That was a bit confusing. The online application was cumbersome. It did not flow well. There was back and forth and back and forth. If they copy what Quicken Loans does, it's much easier and more seamless.

    Everyone from AmeriSave was great to work with. They were really helpful and got back to me in an acceptable timeframe. I went with AmeriSave because of the posted rates at the time that I was investigating. There was a lot of communication with the loan originator and providing all the documentation that was needed. That was the major part of putting it together. But the online component was a little bit flaky. I wasn't ever alerted when new information was needed from me. I would check often. But then in a couple of instances, information was needed quickly and I wasn't alerted until someone texted me or emailed me. Overall, it went pretty well.     I started my refinance process with Amerisave in early July. I started with Amerisave after talking to one of their representatives and foolishly believing in his promises of prompt responses, closing this in August and getting a floating interest rate in case the interest rates go down before closing. I also paid $500 upfront as per their rules. It's 4 months since then and there is no sign of a closing date yet. I'm stuck with the $500 that I already paid. Also the interest rates have fluctuated and gone down since then and no word about reducing the interest rate even after me asking them several times. I just wanted to move on if they refund my amount, but they Never Ever entertained any conversations about my refund and let me go even after me asking them so many times.

    Also they kept requesting my current lender about loan information which costed my $30 every time they did. I think so far I got charged extra for about $100. They wasted my TIME, MONEY AND STILL TESTING MY PATIENCE. They always answer the question they want to and not the questions that we ask. This is absolutely unacceptable and I need my refund and get the hell out of this mess. It's sad that I cannot and now I'm really not sure if they will ever close this and honor the credit and interest rate they initially agreed to.

    When I first started with the refinance with AmeriSave, I was dealing with John for a little over a month. The last time I spoke to John was on the 23rd of September and then he turned me over to Melissa. That was when everything fell apart. I realized right after I got off the phone that I had a couple of very pertinent questions that I wanted to ask. So on the 24th of September, I called Melissa's number that John had given to me. She never called back. So I called on the 25th and left a message and she never called back. Then there was a weekend, Saturday and Sunday, I didn't call.

    I called Melissa again and unfortunately, she still never returned my call. So naturally, I called John back. I wanted to know what was going on and how come this woman never returned the calls. The end result was that I had asked John the pertinent questions and he answered them 100%. John knew his business. You can tell when somebody knows their job and they're willing to put everything into it. They work at 100%. Unfortunately, I never got to speak to Melissa because I went back to John. This woman was blatantly hiding for some reason and it really perturbed me. I didn't wanna deal with her anymore. But I was extremely happy with John. The application and underwriting process took about three days over two months. I got a 2.75 rate and I had asked John several times if he could do better. But right now, I'm following it and it’s even dropping further.

    My loan with AmeriSave took almost four months which is a while longer than I expected. There was always a document that needed to be done right before closing. I needed to prove another document all of the sudden. And it seemed to happen every month. We needed another pay stub because it had already been over 30 days. But I had no problem dealing with the online application and the underwriting. That was fine. That part was easy. It was just a little difficult during this COVID thing because I'm on shift work. It was easier for me to do the paperwork when I was here at work than when I was home because I don't have access to a computer. But everything is finally done.

Her incomplete and lack of communication seemed to add another 2 weeks to the process. The day before close she said I need a $3200 cashier's check for closing. When the lady came to close she said I didn't need it. I had been asking for weeks before closing about this. She would only reply in an email to one question, when there were many questions. And never the question that I really needed answers to.

    Loan officer Chad ** does not return our call or email. Told us about a program that we qualify for after we make our first payment which we have. We have been trying to reach him. Even tried to reach his supervisor, but no one will get back to us. Very disappointed. Thought they were more professional.
