I got a email from advance America cash advance so I called the number. Only needed a small 200 dollar loan to last till my next paycheck. They told me I qualify for a loan is up to $20,000. I told them I only need a $200 loan to last me until I got paid. The man said don't you want 2000 to 20,000. I then said what's the rate and payment on 2000. He told me, so I said ok we can do that. He then said he needed to check my checking account to see if I had 100 dollars. I only had 80 dollars in there. He then said can't you borrow 20 dollars from someone. I told him to forget and hung up on him. So he called me back 20 times in 15 mins. I told him he was a scam and needs to quit taking people's hard earn money and to get a real job. So he called me several bad names but I don't care. He at least didn't get my money.

Had to purchase it at CVS or Walgreens to pay for verification of payment and insurance and finally State taxes. All in all I didn't receive the money for the loan amount promised. I too now have no money to pay rent and hopefully these guys can be stopped!! Now here's the twist. The jerks are calling me back saying they located my money from these spammers and they are working for the United States government and if I want my money back!!! Of course they want $275.00. Let me first off just say that I was not in dying need of the money, but since I got scammed by this company, now I am. I recently put in an application for an installment loan & the next day, I got an email from a guy named Mark ** saying he was with Advance America. I called the number ** which was provided on the email as soon as I got paid on Friday. He told me that in order to get the loan, I had to prove that I had the monthly installment fee of $143. I went to Home Depot like he said and got the REloadit card he asked for. I sat on hold for about 15 minutes for him to come back and say that my funds will be in my acct in 30 minutes and I will have access to them.

Later that day, after I checked my account, I seen that I had no money in my acct & was livid. I called Mark numerous times and he did not answer. Finally, he called me back to inform me that there was an issue depositing my money into my bank acct since it was coming from "Texas". He said I would need to get insurance just in case something happened to me and I was unable to pay the installment fee (insurance was another REload it card with $129).

After I paid the insurance, he then told me that I needed to get another $149 to pay to "Derek **" from Western Union so they could send it Western Union instead. So, me, being a dumb***, decided what the heck since this is all I have to do and my money will be sent to me, I did it. Well guess what? Yeah, you guess it, I didn't receive my money & I got a call from Mark the next day saying that "Western Union's system has crashed" & they need a new card with all the payments I had recently gotten all on one card. BULLS**. He asked for another $348 and I told him he would talk to my lawyer. Now, I am broke until next Friday, can't pay the deposit on my new home and can't get my car fixed neither. I'm at a loss for words, and there's nothing I can really do.

Was contacted that I was approved for a loan. Was told that I needed a GreenDot Money pack for $200 to verify I could pay the money back in monthly payments. I told them I only had $170 and they said that would work. I got the card, and called them back. They had me read the number assuring me they would not touch the money but just verifying I had the money. Then he said everything was ok and he would call me back to let me know the funds were being transferred to my account. He called me back and said the $170 was not on the GreenDot card and that sometimes the sales clerk makes an error or the card malfunctions. Then he said I needed to go and get another card. I told him crying that I put the money on the card, and he was the only one who I gave the number to. He said he didn't take the money and the card was malfunctioning again asking me to go get another card. So I am now out the money and did not get the loan I really needed.

I should have knew better, but I was really hoping that just once someone was going to tell me the truth and do as they said they would. I told him I hope he can sleep at night knowing his actions take money from hardworking people who are in trouble in these tough times. That I hope he can live with himself. He had the nerve to ask me again to get another card so he could approve the loan. Unbelievable.

When I called to inquire I asked appropriate questions such as prepayment penalty adding to my principal etc, then stated I was in the finance industry which sparked a transfer to a 'supervisor' who asked what were my questions. I asked for web address ad he was vague and I get trying on my laptop as he fumbled. He then stated he would have to call me back at a later date within the week to let me know a loan I was qualified for, even though I received this letter stating what I was qualified for. They never asked SSN (which I would have to have provided) not an address work info, nothing. SCAM, SCAM. When I asked where they were located, they state NY. Apparently it takes 15 minutes to go thru Green Dot, so lo and behold I thought I'd call the FBI for scamming and internet fraud and am still in contact with the local office. His name is Derek ** and he got a really heavy accent (Indian, Hindu or Middle East). He told me I got approved from 1000 to 10000 and ask me how much do I want. I told him I need 4000 to pay off my debts then he said NO PROBLEM. Next thing he ask me to get a GREENDOT MONEYPAK for $350 to show them my ability for my first payment. I went and bought it at Walmart, scratch out the back and gave him the pin. After that he told me that they need 699 to pay for their STATE TAXES. I don't have any money left but I called my boss and he lend me 400, my co-worker lend me 300 and I bought ANOTHER MONEYPAK for 699, scratch the back and gave him the pin also.

After that he told me that my application for the loan is FROZE I have to buy another MONEYPAK with the same amount 699 to unfroze the account and they said I will get everything back at Western Union. I got mad and wanted to talk to the head manager. They transfer my call to a guy name Wilson (head manager). I told him my situation and this is what he told me in a really heavy Indian accent (if you can not come up with 699 to release your account then forget it. Don't bother to talk to me ok), then he hang up. Is there anything that I can do to get my money back people? Please help me. My number is **.

A caller with a very thick Indian accent from a call center in Santa Barbara, CA (805-308-0293) representing themselves as from Advance America called my number twice, asking for "Derek". When I advised him that, as I informed him the first time he called, there was no Derek at this number (we have had this phone# 5 months). He then proceeded to obviously cup the phone and call me a "**" and "** sucker" over and over until I hung up.

When I called the number back to speak to a supervisor, he said to me, "Why are you wasting my time?" I told him I was going to file a complaint and he nonchalantly stated, do what you have to do. It's been a while since I was a Call Center Consultant, but I am guessing this type of telephone interaction is still greatly frowned upon by the FCC/FTC, etc.

Was not given option to not have the fee directly pulled from my account. I received a call from AACA and he said his name was Andy **, this was the phone number that showed up 845-445-4952. He offered a personal loan. I asked for paperwork. He sent me the loan agreement. I questioned the wire fee. He gave an explanation. Bottom line, I ended up getting a Green Dot Pak card and stealing my $194.00. I don't know how he had my Bank's name show up on my caller ID and had someone pretend they were from the bank and say that someone was trying to wire money to my account but since they were out of New York, they had to use a different routing number. Andy was called back and he said that he could not change any of my information. He said I would get $100 in 30 days in the mail. He would keep the rest for processing fees. Needless to say when I tried calling back the answering service was on saying they are helping other customers.

So I applied for a loan online and this company called me saying "we see you applied for a loan, we can help, we can get you 10,000 dollar put in your account in 30 mins." Then as we are getting into loan this Brian guy tell me I will need to pay 575 first before they send the money and you can't pay it with your bank card, you have to go to a walmart and get a green dot card or any 7 11 store. So I hang up and over three day period kept on getting call from them so I answer the phone because I really need money but I told them send the money first and then I will pay what I'm supposed to and he said "we can't do that you have to pay your state taxes first," and he said "to insure you I will send a copy of your loan papers" and I said "ok but I want to look up reviews on y'all first and I will call you back" and I just so happen to see everything this loan company told me. Everybody said it on here - the same thing - they are a scam and are hurting people and I hope someone stops them. Thanks for reading and hope people read this so they don't get scammed.

I am in a desperate situation working to provide for a family of five with a husband fighting ss to get disability and all of a sudden after struggling just to get a payday advance I receive a call saying I am approved for a $5000.00 loan at 10% interest for 3 years. I am in heaven but I have to pay for the wire transfer of $175.00. I know I was one of those people that used to say what was she thinking but you don't know how desperate I am. So no money comes and then I find a mistyped routing number and the loan office refused to correct it and wire the money correctly. He said if i pay another $193.00 to have it wire transferred through Western Union I can still have the loan.

I almost did it. I am so desperate. But to be honest my family would be better off with my life ins. So I will be evicted and lose my car, the only one in my family, and there is no bus where I live to get to work so my job will be next. These loan papers look like they are from the real Advance America but they only loan up to $500.00, not any more than that. The loan person was Brian ** and he had someone call and pretend to be from my bank (I checked) no such dept. or person. I tried to get to the bottom of it but the bottom is they are a scam artist because the so called lady that called from my bank gave me a number to call saying the IRS is keeping my loan and the money in my account because they think it is from employment, not a loan, except the phone number she gave me to call the IRS was the same number to the loan company. Should have heard her voice when I caught her in that lie.

Then when I called Brian back he was just an ** and blamed me for the loan papers having the wrong routing number. But he seemed to forget me calling the bank later that evening and verifying the number with Suntrust. I am asking for my money back but the truth is they ripped out my heart and screwed with my job and took money I would use to eat and pay real bills with like lights.

It was Mark Rothman and he said that he was returning my call I left them. He said that they are a scam and they do not work with Advance Cash America. He also said that They are a SCAM and for us to report them to our local police dept. and our attorney general. He said that they have been getting a lot of call like mine about this Company.

Again the call was from a person saying his name was Kevin ** and I had a loan with them. He said that I would be arrested on Monday and they will drag me out of my job. He said that I was a fraud. Also said that he will show me how the U.S. law works. I told him to go for it and hung up on him. Also I did not have a loan with them. Again the number he was calling from was (646-583-0840). He gave me my full name and ask if I was that person. Told him I would not answer any of his questions. That made him really mad. This need to be added to my old complaint to you. You need to know what just happen to me today. Hope this will help you out so you can report them. Thank You.

I have been a customer with Advance America since Nov. 2012 with no problems. And I only get paid once a month, which is the last day of the month. But when I renewed my payday loan on March 29, 2013, the clerk (who was talking on a cell phone) had me returning April 12 instead of April 29. I didn't notice this mistake until April 8. I contacted Advance America to inform them of this mistake, but the clerk who has done my loan wasn't there. But the girl took my message. On April 9th, I went to Advance America and the clerk who has done my loan was there and informed me that it was taken care of, and my payment wasn't due until April 30.

Then on April 15, I received a phone call from Advance America stating my loan is due. I told this clerk that I wasn't due until the 30th and explained to her what had happened. She said it was taken care of, that my loan would be due on April 30th. I didn't hear from them on April 16, but I had a message on my phone April 17 from them stating I needed to call them. I was unable to call them back on the 17th due to me not getting message until after they had closed. So far there have been no consequences, just a lot of aggravation dealing with this issue. I believe that this wouldn't have happened if the clerk wouldn't have been talking on the cell phone and was paying better attention on what she was doing.

I have a $120 payday loan with Advance America in Georgetown, Delaware and I was due to make an interest payment of $20 or pay the loan off for $120. I didn't have a new check to write on my Jan 27, 2012 visit but I had my extension payment of $20. The Georgetown office would not take payment without a new check. I ordered new checks through my bank but they have not come yet. I made the office aware before hand when I saw that there was a possibility that they weren't going to be here.

The loan officer I spoke with basically responded in a nasty way. "You would be wasting your time to come in because you have to have a new check." I asked if I could speak to a supervisor for the Georgetown office and I was told that the loan officer wasn't allowed to give out numbers. I can't believe that this would be true. All businesses should have a way to contact their supervisor and the customer should be able to do so as well. So I wrote the complaint office a letter. There were no numbers online to call.

I am very upset as my checking account is in danger of being intercepted for the full amount $120 this week due to my not having a new check to write. I tried to communicate with this company, offered to make the payment and asked if something could be documented in my file that I will bring in a new check as soon as I received them probably this week.

They basically didn't want to work with me. I don't feel that this is right. I have been an excellent customer with this company for 3 to 4 years. What would be wrong with taking a blank check at the beginning of a loan and just have the client sign the check? And, if anything were to come up, the company has the right to put a date and amount on the check they have for whatever it is that you owe. This would save a lot of checks for the customer. I don't see why this company wouldn't consider something like this. Can you help me?

"Ronnie" called to tell me he was an attorney, representing Cash Advance America. He told me his client includes various advance payday companies. He wanted me to send him $1,200 today to clear up my account or else the sheriff would come pick me up on October 10, 2011; my social security card will be revoked; or my social security benefits will be terminated

I could not get much more information out of him unless I agreed to send a MoneyGram today from any nearby Walmart to his company! I told him I needed proof of what he was talking about and he told me he would send all kinds of paperwork once I sent him $1,200! I am a cancer patient and have to prepare myself for an upcoming surgery and this was not what I needed to hear! He was not interested in any excuses just the money.

I do have loans with my cash now and OneClickCash but am current on my payments! After Ronnie hung up on me, I called both companies to ask if they knew anything about this. I had to leave a message with OneClickCash but my cash now told me they have nothing to do with Cash Advance America! I realize I opened myself up to this type of threat but hopefully others will not allow "Ronnie" type of people to upset their lives like he did mine!

I was unable too pay them back on a $460.00 loan, so I said the right thing to do is try to send what I can afford to pay off balance. I went out and got a money order for $30 to start trying to pay something on this balance. Well, they sent the money order back and would not take the payment.

On the website, there were two options to choose from for a payday cash advance. I noticed that one of the options was to do the advance online. So, I applied. And then at the end after giving my account routing information and checking account number, they redirected me to a walk in physical location. I thought the money was going to be deposited into my account. Otherwise, I wouldn't have given all that information online.

I received a payday loan from Advance America. I paid the loan down to the point where I owed $275.00. On November 19, 2010, the company took $400.00 (which was the original amount of the loan) from my checking account without any notification. I immediately contacted Advance America to inquire as to why they took more than what I owed them. They first attempted to say that I owed the $400.00. Then later in the conversation, the rep stated that they took $400.00 because that was the amount of my original check. So I asked when I could come in and receive my refund for $125.00. They told me that the check had to clear.

On Tuesday, November 23, 2010, I contacted the store again to let them know that the check cleared and I would like to come in and get my refund. Advance America said that I would need to bring in my bank statement to show that the payment cleared. Due to my work hours, I cannot get to the store during the weekday. However, due to the Thanksgiving holiday, I knew I would be off work Thursday and Friday. So I went in this morning (November 26, 2010) to pickup my refund. When the rep went into the computer, she stated that I had to wait until Monday, November 29th, although she clearly saw a clear payment on my bank statement. Then, she told me that she would need to give me a check. I said that you took my cash and I would prefer cash.

Anyway, now I have to wait until the 29th, at which point I would not be available to pick it up until next Saturday, December 4, 2010. I feel that I should have been refunded my money immediately once verification of the check was made. Please advise. Thanks.

These stores are not working with consumers in a fair enough way to ensure that their loans are paid off and not just a continuos cycle. They are being ver difficult in working out a more reasonable way to help the consumer live normally and pay off their loans. When you ask the store clerks about other options they offer none, their only other option is to just just pay it off and worry later about the other living expenses you have later.

At every single one of these stores there is an issue with their payday loans process. My husband and i have been paying these payday loand for about three years now and it just seems to be an endless cycle. It has gotten to the point to where you have to make rash decisions about how you can cover your other bills after paying these loans with high interest. After trying to set up payment plans and or arrangements with these companies even then when you have more than one loan it's still difficult to live a somewhat normal life. You have to write one loan to cover the other and when you think you are able to pay it out, because it's such a large amount you cannot pay them out because you need that extra money to cover something else.

This is a very big strain on my family because we have paid them enough money for those loans to have been paid out, we should get a refund for all the money we have poured into these type of loans. There isn't even a program that can help those that want to pay the money back, therefore you are stuck in this neverending cycle. We are very destraught and depressed behind these loans, can someone please help?

Advance America payday advances. A $400 loan will cost you $60 every 2 weeks. They will allow you to continually roll this loan over and keep charging you an additional $60. This can go on for months and close to a year.

They are not clear that your bi-weekly installment does not impact the principal of the loan. Like credit cards and other loan institutions, they need to be required to create a minimum payment that impacts the principal. They do not provide you with any other resources that could help you.

They also need to be responsible to run a credit report to see if you are credit worthy. They should be required to do a reference check to make sure that their clients understand that a payday loan will end up costing them a minimum of twice the loan amount. They need to disclose to you every 30 days "By the way, your $400 loan has cost you $120 in fees". They need to be limited on the maximum amount of fees they can obtain.

They have called my job several times, after my District Manager has asked them repeatdly not to call me on my job. They have also brought threatning letters to my job as well, after being asked not to. I have agreed to make arrangements with them to pay off the debt, and they told me they would not take what I had offered them. I offered them one hundred dollars at first.

Kelly came to my job today threatning me, she was not discreet with her purpose for coming to my job she started talking loudly in front of my Assistant, I asked her please not to come to my job and she would not leave and got an attitude with me saying she can come here whenever she feels like it. She was very rude to me after I asked her several times not to come to my job and tried to explain to her that I have been trying to make arrangements to pay off my debt. She still refused to leave and insisted that she would return.

WEll I took out a check advance loan. And lost my job so I could not pay it on time and said that I would try to get up there the following week and they said fine. Well needless to say I didnt not make it up there that day so they started calling my refences, and one of them was my now ex boy friend who I am trying to stay far away from and they called him and told him everything. Why the were calling, what I didnt and didnt do.

I used to work for a financial company and I know the laws we were not alowd to discuss anything with a 3rd party just that we are trying to get a hold of that person and a name and number. And that was it nothing else was said unless the customer gave you permission.
