    I'd never thought I'd be the one to say this about AccountNow because I have been with them for 6 years however since they changed to an overseas call center, the service and lost of funds will have me close my account as soon as I can after the holiday. I made a deposit of $150 last month at a register using a preload card that never credited to my account. (pic shown) They would not research it all but they were quick to take their monthly fee. It is shown online but not on my card...

    Today they declined two purchases even though I had well over the amount in my account. They said it's for "my security" that they blocked my account. I told them I have been a customer since 2010 when they started with no problems. Then they said I have to wait for corporate to call them back in 72 business hours!! They route calls to the Philippines so you cannot speak to anyone in the US now so they call you back. This wasn't the case when I first joined in 2010. Now I am leaving and I advise everyone else that doesn't want to have their money disappear or card blocked while at the counter to go back to traditional banking.

    All you guys complaining about AccountNow services read the paperwork that comes with the card you requested. Looks like to me it explains everything in bold print. It tells you what it charges you for. Tells you how you can go about getting money off your card without being charged at an atm. As far as you guys getting mad about not getting paid 2 days sooner read that again. It don't guarantee that!! How the hell can you get paid 2 days sooner when your job has everything to do with it???!!! Depends on when they get the damn payroll done so quit complaining. Start reading stuff before you agree on the terms and conditions. I sure did and I haven't had 1 problem since I started using AccountNow. I LOVE IT!!!

    I received an AccountNow card and thought I'd give it a try. Had no issues at first until a tax return was deposited. I went to pay at the store and my card was declined. Not at all possible, they told me that I didn't notify them a deposit in that amount of money was being put in. Ummm, why would I? I'm very good at keeping track of what I spend, I figured out my bills and what I will have left. One week there should've been $188 on my card and there was $80. I listened to all my transactions and that missing $108 was nowhere, nothing had been charged too much.

    I ask them and they say that they charge for every transaction that's made. So when I took money out of the ATM they charge me $3.50 for the ATM usual fee, and then $5.75. What sense does that make? At my job we have the vending machines, AccountNow charged me $3.50 when I spent an even $1 and then $1 for items that were over a $1. Again when I talk to them they tell me that this should be used as a savings account not a regular spending debit card. Oh and the best part, they tell me that my address doesn't exist, so when I moved and wanted to change my address and they said I had to fax in papers and all that. for a prepaid card? No, I'm good. I'm switching to KAIKU!

    This has to be THE worst banking system ever!!! I banked with NetSpend for 10 years but thought I would give AccountNow a try. Been with my job for 20 years and they are regulated to post our Direct Deposits Wednesday morning and have been for 20 years. AccountNow told me my d.d. was pending Thursday at 9:00 but they told me they could not give me my money because my job hadn't released the funds which I knew to be a outright lie because I have another account which had already posted Thursday at 12:00 am. Didn't release my money until early Friday morning. Also, promised to text my balance whenever I use my card which NEVER happened. Went online to try and set up an online account but their web will not allow it. Tried for 2 days and each time the page just blanks out.

    After talking to some of the reps at the company I discovered there is no manager to talk to and the first person answering the phone claimed she was the supervisor when I requested to speak to one. I think these people hold monies longer than needed so that they can get the interest off customer money. I found a Government website (Federal Reserve) called HelpWithMyBank.gov. They regulate AccountNow (Green Dot Bank). I would suggest people start filing complaints against this bank so that the Feds can see how they are treating their customers. They should not be able to tell you can't get your money when it's just sitting there unless there's a reason which in my case was not. Even if nothing happens I'm filing my complaint today.

    I switched to AccountNow in hopes that I would get my paycheck 2 days early. I called because for the past two times my check has posted on Wednesday. This morning when I called it says I had a deposit pending and it would post today. Still no money!!! I called them and the lady said they are waiting on my employer to release it. I believe they are lying because for 3 years I have received my money on a Wednesday and now all of a sudden when I switch to y'all I get it on a Thursday even though their automated system says it will post on today. They are a joke and I will make sure everyone knows about my experience especially since their representatives don't know anything. I am definitely withdrawing all my money and changing companies as soon as it post.

    They have my account restricted. They ask for documents. I sent them and they still will not lift it. All my bills are behind car payment late and I was to leave with my children on vacation. Had to cancel. It's been a nightmare. I have over 6000 dollars of deposit that goes on this card. Been with them for 2 years and I'm closing it as soon as I can get my funds lifted!!

    I really wish I had read these reviews, before I signed up with this company! Up till now, I have never had so much trouble receiving my direct deposit than what I have had with AccountNow! Their claim that you will receive your deposit up to two days early is a joke! I have been on the phone with them 3 times, and each time I have gotten a different answer! Since early in the morning I have my pending deposit showing (but no money as of yet)! I was told that my employer hasn't released the money yet, but appears to me AccountNow has it. They have the worst customer service ever! If and when they finally deposit my money, I will definitely be changing to a different card! Their customer services is a joke, and you can't even talk to anyone in this country! I wish anyone good luck that has the misfortune of dealing with these people as I am currently doing! It is an exercise in frustration!

    The company must dig deep in databases as they send a card to me under an alias I use for spam emails. I do not use it to apply for anything yet they sent a debit card. There is no way to speak to a live person unless you sign in and create an account which I did using phony ssn etc. There is finally a telephone number for customer no service 866-921-9889 for anyone that needs it. They said they got my info from public records - surely not. Anyway beware as if this is how they operate they cannot surely give any kind of reputable service with their card. Always be suspicious when someone asks for your ssn without providing anything first.

    I have been with Account Now for a while. I had a card that I loaded $500 on and they would not activate the card fully but allowed me to load funds onto the card. They closed my account and told me to send in documents to verify my identity, but after I did all of that they still didn't unlock my card. I've been calling everyday but I'm told something different every time I call. I've contacted my attorney to see what I can do because they shouldn't be able to cancel my card and hold my money.

    They put my money on the wrong card. Then when I call them, they said they mail me a new card with my money on it... How crazy is that? That's all want them to do is to put my money on the card I all really had. They can't do that. I will not ** with company no more. They're up to no good.     After having numerous problems with my former prepaid card providing company... Netspend. I chose AccountNow to have my social security benefits sent to. For the previous year, (while still with NetSpend) my 'SS' deposits were always early. Only one time in that year, a deposit was made on the actual date of said payment. Usually, my benefits were in my account.. 3 to 6 days prior to the actual payment date. Obviously social security transferred benefit payments well in advance of the actual payment date.

    So far with accountnow my benefits have not been in my account until the actual date of payment. These lying, thieves hold transferred funds of their customers as long as they can. Most assuredly to accrue the interest on those funds. I'm also sure, that persons such as myself. Who need every dime of their ss benefits to cover our living expenses. Like myself, withdraw all of the money as soon as it arrives. So accountnow isn't able to collect any interest of my money. Knowing that, they simply hold the funds in their own account as long as possible. If that is not a criminal act, I don't know what is.

    And we are supposed to trust people like this with our money. What's happened to this country? I would have said "our country". But unless you are wealthy and or connected. This country is just where we happen to be living (Trying to live). This type of thing has become "business as usual" and these companies will continue to cheat anyone they can anyway. They can, simply because they are connected. I'm tired. Just had to vent. Maybe someone will hear and heed.

    Got the card, deposited $100 and it just keeps saying card not approved for use at this time. It's okay. These people can keep the money. Karma has you. This company sucks and I hope they go down faster than the Titanic! Screw you AccountNow. Get your own money that we work hard for. Stop living off others' prosperity!

    I have had my AccountNow card for a year now. Usually I load the card for online purchases. This year I decided to get my 7,500 refund deposited into the account. I start noticing funds were disappearing from my account. I tried to call but no human person. It's hard to think that I had 7500 bucks with nothing to show for it but a new sofa set. So silly me gets my paycheck deposited into this account and the stickers stole 130.00 bucks from me. Like forget you. I have kids to take care of. A teenage girl. I. So hurt because there is nothing I can do about it. I'm going to contact the media because damn.

    Woke up this morning checked account, $304.58 was debited out my account at a 7-11 in another city at 10:13pm. Of course I was in my bed that time of night!!! Called Accountnow was told they would block my card send me another and the amount was paid I could call back and dispute! What do you mean call back and dispute??? It clearly say authorization hold, couldn't you just not pay it?? No, the rep says I have to call them back 6 days from now and dispute. What kind of ** is that!! Don't worry Accountnow my direct deposit is going to a bank that don't enable thieves!!! Here I am driving to another city pursuing my money!!!

    I have been with AccountNow for a couple of years now. Recently on June 27 2016 I woke up and checked my account. I was cleared 800 gone on my bank statement. It was two transactions made from a local Walmart--one for 500 and the other for 300. The crazy part is I had my card but I always go to Walmart to transfer money... so I called and made a dispute. I called almost every day. They couldn't tell me anything. They just said "wait by the phone for a phone call." It's been about a week and a half. Today is July 7 2016 and I called and he told me my dispute has been finalized and they sent me a letter in the mail. I'm like wtf, no explanation, no information, nothing. I just lost out on 800 my rent money and my car note and I'm pissed. This is a ** company. They need to be shut down. How are they still open ripping people off? I will not ever use this company again or recommend them.

    I have had this card for like four years now and I use it all the time. I have my paychecks direct deposited and pay all my bills from it. I even have my tax return deposited on it every year as I get my refund in about a week. Great alternative to dealing with banks.

    So I've been using this company for over a year now. I tried using my card yesterday and the card declined very embarrassing not once but twice. You would think the company would call to tell me what's going on. Nope they didn't. I ended up calling them to find out what was going on. The rep. Eel told me my card had been compromised so they put a restriction on it and I would have to call every time I needed to use the card until my new card came in. Ok fine so I pulled a little cash off the card for the purchase I was trying to make that the card had declined for. She told me just to call anytime I needed so yesterday I tried calling. They're closed. Fine I'll wait.

    This morning I call to find out I no longer have access to my money on the card and no one could help. Stayed on the phone for over an hour. Talk to the same idiot Eel and 4 managers just to find out they didn't know why my card was compromised and I wouldn't have access to my money for 5-7 business days. Well it a holiday weekend so that means my card won't be sent out until the 5th of July and I won't get it until the 13th of July. That's two weeks away. I'll be getting paid again by then so looks like I will not be using that card company any longer. But of course she doesn't get any punishment for her mess up. She'll have to go through training again. That does nothing for my situation right now but make me more mad.

    I stop all my direct deposits from going to this company because they put my money in my account late even though they receive the notification that the money is coming. This way this bank can make interest off the money. They have surprise coming this Pay Period - no direct deposit will be input. Just $10 for online purchase. If your card is lost or stolen GOD help you because you will never see that money again.

    I have been an AccountNow account holder for the past 3-4 years. My card was recently stolen and used at places I don't even shop/eat at. I put in a dispute for $524.00. I spoke to several idiots there and told them what happened. Received a call a few days later from some man asking me if I was at one of the locations my card was used. Dumbest question I have ever heard. So today I get home and receive a letter (but they called to accuse me of basically using my own card) telling me I will not be getting my money back and they have closed my case. The money I didn't use? So what is the purpose of a dispute?

    Somewhere they have committed a violation, a federal violation and before I let them walk away with $524.00 that belongs to me, I will fight with every bone in my body to sue this company. They are going to wish they gave me my hard earned money back. I wouldn't in a million years advised anyone to deal with these fraudulent people. It's such a shame but I will be the one on the top in the end. I guarantee that!!!

    Have been going in circles with these idiots for weeks trying to get a dispute resolved. An ATM took my funds out of my account but it said communication error and didn't give me my money! Their customer service reps are a joke and useless. They won't even transfer my call to the dispute dept. Worthless company. Glad my paychecks no longer get deposited to them!

    Plain and simple a crooked, false and no professional ethics whatsoever type of financial services industry. They stoled $1716 out of my account. When I tried to reported, first of all the customer service number is no good because there's not a human being that answers the call and when you specify to talk to a operator they got me waiting 1 hour and 56 minutes and for this two low lifes, unprofessional, so called customer service representative and another unprofessional piece of human waste of so called manager accused me that I stoled my own money in Tokyo Disney Resort and 15 minutes later I was reporting my money theft in Orange County California. Can you believe this people?

    I told them to check out from what terminal was this money withdrew and how it can happen to withdraw money with one card from Tokyo Japan and if me the owner of the account physically got the card in Orange County California, there's never two cards in the same account with the same exact numbers unless is a clone card. I'm I right? So the so called manager said he didn't know what I was talking about, so I went a little further saying "unless is an inside job and you guys are the ones stealing all this money." Phone went quiet, so I ask for his name and position. He said he was not allowed to. What? So he said "can you please hold." But before I said anything some music came out and I waited honestly for two hours exactly, because on the dot two hours the call hangs up by itself and that's all to it. That was on the 2nd of May. I'm still waiting for any resolution and nothing.

    I'm a really sick person that relies of my wife person while I wait for my disability case to resolved, and that was our tax jointly money. For two weeks, we didn't have no money to eat. We almost got kicked out of the room and board center where we live. I even went palm handling. Can you believe what this people did to us. I had a mild stroke that day of the call with them. I was in bed for 6 days without being able to get up, and this so called manager had the nerve to say to me: "oh sorry there's nothing I can do"? What the hell? What you mean "nothing I can do"? Aren't they insured by I don't know... FDIC? Or aren't they entitled to start a freaking investigation? OH MY GOD. I better stop writing this. I just got light headed. I think I'm going to passed out.

Any little complication and he can die like that, but Pablo is passionate for what he believes, and he believes there's something wrong and fishy about this company that is taking advantage probably of hard working people like us, and they laugh about it, because is what they did last time I called, and If because of this my husband's passes away guess who is gonna be accountable for that? You got the right - "AccountNow". A company who pretends to be caring and that your money is so secured with them. False advertising Pablo's says. I want my $1716 back, and repair and damages paid because they are making my husband's short living life miserable and is not fair all this unnecessary punishment towards my family.

    The company won't follow through with return phone calls. They won't send me a replacement card expedited and say I need the card for all transactions has locked my online access at least 3 times. Now they keep telling me to wait then I call to be told to wait some more. Is there no one who can force them to treat customers with respect and to do what they tell me??

    My federal tax refund was deposited on 5/21. When I tried to use my card at a grocery store the next day it was declined. When I looked at my account info on my phone there was a charge from a company called "SQ * JOY" for the exact amount that was in my account. As it was a Sunday I was unable to reach a live person at AccountNow. I filed a dispute as soon as their customer service center was taking calls on Monday and cancelled my card. I had to pay $25 to have a new card sent. Today is payday and it was too late to stop the direct deposit. So I have funds sitting there that I cannot touch. I called customer service to check on the dispute for the unauthorized charges. They said they didn't have any info other than one was filed. I asked for the contact information for their dispute center. I was told, "We do not have any contact information for that department."

    I asked how can I be sure my newly deposited funds will be safe while I wait for my new card. I was told they don't have a way to stop withdrawal if the hacker has my account and routing numbers. After reading other reviews I'm not at all confident that I will be able to get the stolen funds returned or that I will even receive a new card without problems. I just want to be able to remove my pay and move it to a traditional bank. Prepaid cards sound good-no overdraft fees, earlier access to funds-but if your account is hacked you are screwed. An overdraft fee would be preferable to the stress of potentially losing over $1000.00. At least with a traditional bank there are safeguards but apparently with prepaid accounts there is not.

    Scheduled payment for merchant funds were drafted on 5-6-16 but merchant never received it. When I called Customer Service to express my concern I was given the runaround requesting extra steps to file a claim. Just ridiculous and waste of time. My bill needs to get paid and I need feedback now, not 2 weeks later. I will not ever use this company again.

    Back in February of 2016 my husband received this card in the mail from AccountNow. Well we set the card up and loaded $500.00 on it. We went on a family trip and we were able to use the card several times while out of town. When we went to use the card before we left our destination to come home, we could not use it. When we returned home I called the company to find out why and they told me the SS number they had on file for my husband was incorrect... so we sent them all the needed information as far as SS card, proof of address ID and all. I called a few days later and they told me they needed a proof of address so I sent it again... still here it is May and we still have yet to get our money. Then when I call to find out what is the problem with the upload center they don't know.

    All we want is our money because we work hard for it. No one there has any clue what they are doing and how to handle anything. Then when you ask for a manager and how to get in contact with them they tell you all they can do is email them. THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIPOFF. There was no problem uploading money to the card but because I want my money off they have all types of excuses. ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GO ABOUT GETTING MY MONEY??? Please and thanks!

    So I had to order a card due to a third party taking money out my account. I did that on 25 of April. A new card was supposed to be mailed out and I never got the card now. Weeks later they want to charge me the 25 dollars for a Rush Card but I haven't received none of the two cards I ordered previous. This company will find a way to keep your money.

    When I first signed up for the card everything was fine. I created online account. I was able to see my debits and pending transactions. Then one day overnight viewing of pending transactions was remove from the site with no explanation. And now my funds are deposited randomly and the sms alerts are sent hours after the deposit is made.

    I woke up on a Friday morning and realized my check was 500 dollars short. I called AccountNow and they informed me that someone did an online transfer from my account to their account. A ** and G **. Whoever the ** they are. Don't know. But anyways these people took my money they didn't have access to my account because only I know my account number and PIN number. I filed a claim and it was denied. I never got my money back. They said they did a thorough investigation. How??? What investigation??? What did they do??? They just said they will send me a letter stating I was denied. Heartless **. Don't ever use these people for direct deposit. I promise you these people are a fraud. If your money comes up missing they don't do ** about it.

    This is a bad company. The merchant keep sending in a cancellation letter. On several occasions I been told they receive it then the next day when my money is suppose to be deposited back all of a sudden no one knows about it. If I don't receive my money I'm going to see a lawyer. I need my money. All they do is give you the runaround about your money. They never want to connect you to a manager. I want the AccountNow owner. Shoot I'll call the bank.

    AccountNow are thieves. They steal your money and hold it not letting you spend your money. They kept 245.00 of my money imI added and added up the fees and what they had on balance was not what I suppose to had. These ** will let people take your money. Boss resolution int'l resolution took 80.00 out my account, put it back and took it again. Them ** keep 40.00 of my money. It's in the transaction. These ** wrote me a letter saying they found no error in the 40.00 that boss resolution had took. They won't fight for you all then have to pay these crooked ** 9.95 for holding a gold card that you're not using. We needs to partition these people. They needs to be reported. Thieving **.

    I called customer service on many occasions about this account and still can't figure out why I haven't switched. From the first time I started using this card had ongoing issues, the first is the hidden limits on the card that I had no idea about. I had to pay my rent with my first direct deposit and went to withdraw my rent amount of 725 and couldn't get anymore money than 300$. I called CS and explained that I needed access to the rest of my money and they did nothing to help, said "sorry you can't get your money to pay rent." Seriously.

    Next times I get my direct deposit every Wednesday since I've been working for my current company... Here comes Wednesday waiting for 12:30 to come until I get my deposit as I do every pay period and all of a sudden nothing, so here I go again to call CS and this time they tell me that my job all of a sudden put a hold on the pending deposit and said "hold it until tomorrow." Come on now. I've been with this company for a while and they are not going to do that, but do they care that I have my budget set to expect my check on Wednesday or that I have bills due on Wednesday or that my daughter needs diapers? Not a bit. The IVR even tries to get you to hang up by saying "your wait could be an hour, but if you stay on the line the wait is about 30 seconds." Seriously switching this week, I'm done with AccountNow and their fake CS reps.

    I'VE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE SINCE the 6th of April since they locked my card for no reason. I'm sick of talking to these fools that answered the phone. It's a good thing I can't reach them. I'd knock the hell out of them. All they keep saying is they need ID. Sent my license, my bills with my address on them 6 times. Sick of you dumbass people.     I had my direct deposit of 1400 dollars sent Monday to them and still no word. I call, ask for a supervisor and get hung up on. I had rent due and now I don't know how I'm going to pay it. My employer talked to them and they still could not give me an answer as to where my money was. I even have an advice number. These people are crooks and scam artist.     I'm a present cardholder and have nothing but bad experiences with these people. They lie to you and tell you that they don't have your money. When they do, they tell you this because they hold your money as long as possible to make the interest on your money until they have to give to you, especially s.s.i.!! Plus their whole account system is handled in the Philippines. The real AccountNow headquarters in Calif. is only handled by one person. The person who is really responsible is sitting at home collecting the checks!! If I were the public well you know!! Plus on top of that they control how much of your money you can have in one day. There's something fishy going on here and they need to be investigated!!! I'm leaving these idiots this month and glad of it, others to many of them that can truly take care of you!!! Goodluck.     I've had my tax money deposited on my card twice. They never once asked me to verify my identity. Now all of a sudden my car was stolen and they locked me out of my online account. They want me to send in all this info which I did numerous of time and haven't received a card yet. It's been 4 whole weeks. AccountNow is some scam artist that's trying get over on us.

    Just tried using AccountNow prepaid card to pay for gas, declined. Went to withdraw money, declined. Have over $700 in the bank. Tried calling customer service, phone gets disconnected. I finally found a number and got a hold of someone and was told the system is down, everyone is getting declined. Just great almost got arrested for not paying and now this. Been down since 3pm EST.     So I have gotten a card in the mail. So I had a refund put on the card and right after that someone had called in to change my address and so they cancel my card and I had to send in info to verify my info so I have been going back and forth with this for the past month. Every time when I call, they give me a different answer. Then they said they will send a check out but I did not get it yet so I called and just to my surprise they need more info on my driving license, it has my correct address and I done sent that in over 10 times and mail as well and still nothing.

    I started using AccountNow at the end of 2015. I lost my card and needed a new one and locked my account so no one could use my money... I sent more than enough documents proving my identity and address. They took money from my account for supposedly monthly account use even though it was a full month since my card was lost and account was locked. So how can they take my money when my account is locked and charge me when I haven't used the card.

    They finally released my card into the mail at the end of Feb 2016 but I got an email two weeks into March that were just sending it out... Weird right. Well I got a card but without my money on it. I called the company and they said that I needed to apply again for a lost card and they needed documents again. I sent them. Now they say they want copies of my bills so I asked to talk to a supervisor. They hung up on me. When I called back they put me on hold for 20 minutes till I finally said screw it and now I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau and a lawyer to sue the pants off of them. What they are doing is fraudulent.

    I have been on the phone daily to AccountNow for roughly two weeks. They keep telling me I need to submit paperwork and every time I do they want more. They will not release my money to me and I have read all the reviews on them, and they are all the same. They took 25 dollars from me and said they FedExed it to me. They lied to me again. FedEx had no record of them sending anything! They lied and said that they couldn't find the address and FedEx supposedly returned the card. They lied again! Why are they allowed to stay in business and keep defrauding people? I just want my ** tax refund!

    I am a disabled veteran, and have been using this card because I get my money a little early. I have had several issue over the last two years with these people. One, it sounds like everyone that works there are from another country, no one speaks clearly and it's hard to understand them. Two, they locked my account over what they claim was a discrepancy with a State Income Tax Return, well I live in WA state and we do not file State Tax Returns. Three, when I called to get my account unlocked they told me I would need to verify my identity... So If I am giving you my name, social and birthday, does that not verify my identity?

    Four, after sending the requested documents, I was told what I sent wasn't good enough and they would not be able to unlock my account. I am seriously fed up with these people and am to the point of pursuing legal action against them. DO NOT under any circumstances use these people. They are thieves, liars and extremely rude.

    AccountNow Prepaid Card froze my account. I had $750 in there. They have asked me for numerous amount of proof of identity. I've sent it in, faxed it twice and still nothing. I call and call and call. I speak to people that don't speak English and when I ask for a manager they just put me on hold and then hang up in my face. I have two children and one in the way in April. I really need my money. They had no reason to freeze my account. My husband was going to get his tax return money sent to it. They said that it was not possible even though the IRS accepted it. Because he was not on my account they sent his money back. We've already received that in a check but I still have not got any word on my money that was on the card. I really need help. If there's anybody out there that knows anything about what's going on please let me know.

    I am with the bank that's called AccountNow. It's a prepaid bank account and my account has been compromised from a merchant that I cannot get a hold of and I have submitted my documents for this dispute and it's been going on. And every time I called customer service when they tell me the dispute and claim will be done at a certain amount of time they ask me to resubmit my documents again because "I don't see anything after". I have spoken with somebody from the resolution department who has contacted me and said they already received the forms. They even have a site that's called Upload at AccountNow where you can upload your documents. I have proof that I uploaded the documents and when I called them today they tried to give me the runaround and said that they never received anything.

    You never speak to anybody who's English and I have went online and seen all the reports of people go through and a half of that they go through because of this bank. And anyways I should have been provided provisional credit. And starting today at March 3rd and customer service again had told me that they didn't see anything. Okay. So after I had complained I ask to speak to an American. I ask to speak to an English spoken speaking person or to a manager. They say that they can't, that there's no one to speak to. They also say that they can't transfer you to a dispute department. There's no person there that you can talk to, you know, live but they are but they have a dispute buttons on the information call line. And they also and don't let you speak to anybody except for customer service. And when customer service gets on the line they pretend not to know anything that you're talking about.

    So they don't want to take care of you as a customer when you have a lot of money being deposited into this account and somebody is doing fraud on your card. And I've looked at the complaints online and it's horrible so I'm hoping that this will go through for me and that I do receive the dispute. I tried to contact the merchant on this dispute. I couldn't get a hold of him and I have seen other complaints about this but I cannot close out the account because of the simple fact the dispute is still open. So if you'd like to take on this class action lawsuit for me because I would like to file it. I can only imagine how many other people are suffering the same thing that I am and again the name of the place is called AccountNow. That's the AccountNow and I'm sure the Better Business Bureau has a lot of complaints as well.

    On 2-12-16, my account was locked. Today is 2-29-16. Since then I have uploaded and faxed in documents, I have $1330.00 on my card. I keep calling them and they keep asking for more and more documents. I am FURIOUS with them. I want my money back and I have cancelled my direct deposit for good.     I've been with this company for 4 years getting direct deposit from my job on their card.. I haven't noticed anything wrong until I've gotten my tax refund deposited on here. I checked my transactions daily and noticed they were charging me fees I've never seen before. And one of the fees I was being charged was inquiry from ATMs, when I never once touched the inquiry button because I knew they were charging for it.. I was being charged a total of 6.50 just for a atm withdrawal. I've never seen that before, and when I called a lady said she didn't see any on my account. Not only that but I am missing at least 1000 or more that's not counted for and I know I haven't spent it. Ive also asked for a print out of my transactions to be mailed and she told me they don't mail those out anymore. But if you go on their website and sign in, they have it as an option.

    I am trying to calculate my transactions because I know they've stolen money. I don't know the exact amount and theyre making it hard for to do so. On 2/22/2016 I checked my balance and it said 347 which wasn't correct but the same day I've got an email saying my balance was 1544 which was supposed to be correct. But my balance stayed at 347. I am leaving these scams because I Am 100% sure they stolen my money. And I am going file a suit against them.

    I got the card because they say you can get your direct deposit 2 days faster. They lied. I have not got my direct deposit yet. It is posted on my regular due date. Plus they charged fees even if you pay the monthly fee of 9.95, they still charge others fees that supposed to be within the monthly fee. They are a fraud. Trying to make extra money. Your atm withdrawal supposed to be unlimited on your money, but they only allow 300.00 per atm daily, so they can charge you 2.50 per withdraw. This company should be investigated for the customers benefits. I think the customers should all be reimbursed all their customers refunds for the outrageous fees.

    GOT MY FIRST DIRECT DEPOSIT TODAY & made my first purchase at a gas station... Gas... $18. An hour later we filled my husband's truck up with $38 worth of gasoline. I decided to check my balance because I have to get my plate on my car and pay my power bill. Hopefully I can finish this before my power gets shut off at 5 pm and it's a frickin Friday. When I called customer service some ** from India said my card was on hold. I asked them define HOLD, they couldn't not answer.

    I told them "it's a ** prepaid card, that money is MINE!!!" He told me that the gas station put the hold on my money which is total **!!! I freaking work there. I know their policy! Then had the nerve to say it would 24 hours to 7 days for the money to go back on my card. As if I had that many days to go without power. I live in frickin MONTANA and it's WINTER. I have SMALL CHILDREN THAT WON'T HAVE HEAT TONIGHT!!! DO THEY CARE, ** NO!!!

    I was livid! I said, "You didn't verify my information when you sent me the card? Why now?" I was on MY first day off in over 12 days & it's Friday and no cash. I told them I was stuck with no funds and all they said was "we are sorry." I told that rep, "Don't be sorry, put the money back on my ** card or wire me some money so my kids don't freeze this weekend!" ROBBERY! I lost $240 in less that 1/2 hour, simply because they felt the need to HOLD without a courtesy call or email or anything.

    These ** are crooks! DO NOT USE ACCOUNTNOW PREPAID CARD!!! I just called my boss and told her to take the direct deposit of this POS card. I would love to meet the mighty leaders of this scam.     Hello my name is Alma. I have called Accountnow because they froze my account because I did a cash back. I have called Accountnow and they are giving me the runarounds. I deposited my tax money on there. Wasted money that same day. Next day they blocked it. The other part of my money was for my landlords rent. I am a single mother. I struggle enough with paying bills. But that's ok. I will be talking to a lawyer and the police and I will get my money. And I will somehow shut them down.     So this is the third year that I have used AccountNow for my tax return. The first and second year was fine, but boy was I in for rude awakening this year. My taxes were scheduled to go to my account now card 2/18/2016 so at 12am that morning I started calling the card to check my balance. Up until 1:15am I couldn't get through to check it cause for some reason the phone kept hanging up in my face. The whole day of the 18th nothing had been deposited to my account and customer service kept saying that they didn't see anything pending at all. The next day I called and still nothing... At this point I knew it was the card company because the IRS never tells you a date and doesn't send it at least not to my knowledge.

    I call the IRS and ask them about my return and they tell me it was sent out On 2/18/16 but the bank rejected it so it went back to the IRS and I have to wait at least 8 weeks to receive a paper check!!!! By then I'm furious because I'm a single parent with 3 kids and I also let a few bills roll over because I knew I would have 8,000. So once again I call account now and ask them why in the hell did they reject my check? The guy says to me "you haven't had anything come through your account Ms **, you should check with your bank!" "My Bank"?? You ** are the ** bank!! Come to find out their system was down like always when the IRS sent my check and what bothered me even more the customer service people won't even admit that it was their fault that I have to wait 8 weeks to get my tax return.

    I had to get a loan to pay my rent and car payment and my lights were shut off yesterday because I let it get behind only because I was depending on my money... People please don't wait until something like this happens to you like I did. Drop these clowns and go somewhere else and save yourself the inconvenience. If I would have read the reviews on this company first I would have never used them, and they don't care about you as a customer because if they did they would fix the problems... I will never deal with these people again in life!

    Me and all my roommates decided that tax time we would use this company. Well it's quite a bit of us that live here at my address, so I figured they might need more information because of fraud going around. We are all in the military and we live under 1 roof. Well I called because I could not access my funds, and they said they needed some documents. We are all in the military and I did not have my Social security card, but my other roommates did. I let them know that I didn't have access to my social security card, but I had pay stub, military ID and state ID. My military pay stub doesn't have any address on it, but I got lucky that I interned at a company which does pay, so I had them send me my pay stub which has my address on it.

    AccountNow said it would work and I sent it all in. I called them and they informed me pay stub wasn't valid so they sent money back to IRS! I asked why, the lady didn't say, just kept saying it was rejected and they couldn't do anything about it and to call IRS. They did not call me and ask for more documents or to let me know they were rejecting me. My roommates as well as me provided their ss card signed, cell phone bill, and 2 forms of ID and was rejected! I will never used them again and neither should anyone else.

    I have been getting direct deposit for the past few months on my card from my employer. I have had no problems until now. Today I got a direct deposit for 8207.00 from federal refund. I tried to call to get a 1200.00 withdrawal out of my account. My account is set up through my S's #, address, phone # and birthdate. They put the wrong year for my date of birth. So they locked me completely out of my account. I had to fax them my drivers license, social security card, and proof of address. They still said it will take up to 72 hours for the fax to be reviewed. After researching online I see that they have an excessive amount of bad reviews. Some people never received their money back. I have 3 children and I need money now. I feel so sick and depressed because I am afraid the same will happen to me that others experienced.

    I hate this card so much! Trying to update your address is a joke. If you send them a copy of your lease expect it to be accepted. They will ask you to send more and more documents, but how are you supposed to send them stuff if you haven't received anything in the mail because you just moved. This card is a joke. When their system is down don't expect to use your card because it will be denied even though you have money on it. They don't send a warning or anything. The people at this place sound like robots and don't know half of the questions you ask them. If you ask to speak to someone higher up, you will get hung up on.     So my husband and I are on this account. I've had this account for over 2 years and has have numerous of direct deposits go through...until today 1/21/16. My husband is a veteran and we get ALL of his VA compensations direct deposited, never had an issue! So an incoming amount of $2,156 comes in already posted and was available. My husband goes to Walmart, tries to make a purchase to buy food for our kids and it denied! So he went to an ATM to try to withdraw funds instead but nope! The ATM didn't spit his card back out. So then I went and tried an ATM and it said card was reported lost! Wtf? I didn't report my card lost!!

    Furious at this point, I call Customer Service! The rep said there was a mismatch on the direct deposit. What the hell are you talking about? It's my husband's VA money and he's been getting a deposit 2-3 times a month!!! I couldn't even understand the guy at all, so I'm yelling at him to transfer me and he wouldn't! He kept repeating himself yet I still didn't understand! All I got out of his accent was the direct deposit wasn't us? Well that's weird! I'm checking his eBenefits and what do you know? The amount the VA sent is the same that was being held! I hung up!

    Called back to get a mother broken English Filipino lady again! She prompts me to send all kinds of proof which I did twice and says it takes up to 72 hours!! 72 hours? How the hell do you expect me to feed my kids? It's beyond ridiculous and extremely frustrating!!! You got all of my money in one account and it's out of my hands!!! Get your crap together!!! Do not bank with this place! Maybe if you didn't hire everyone from the Philippines, we would understand these reps!!! Ugh.

    UPDATED ON 01/25/2016: 5 days later still no resolution! They've also asked for my husbands award letter from the VA. Sent it the same day but sure enough still isn't enough. NOW, they want a letter stating I'm my husbands beneficiary! Uh what?!! I'm not his beneficiary. We just opted for all of his money to get direct deposited into my account. While he's only a card holder. The problem is that he's not the primary so this is why they won't unfreeze the account. But there is no way I would be able to get the VA to add me as a beneficiary because it takes quite some time as its a process. Still have 3 kids and no money to feed them! With $20 in my name they could give a **!

    I've provided everything they needed thus far but is adding more and more proof in which this one we don't have! I've spoke to sooo many people from regular reps to supervisors and even managers, yet they still all have different stories! I thought this was going to be a piece of cake providing everything they needed but I guessed wrong, finally changing banks today! And now is requesting the VA to get that money back! All $2,154. If the VA can't ask for that money back for us, then we sure as hell will be seeing them in court!

    DO NOT do business with these people!! They don't care and you will not be able to understand them!!! With their strong rough filipino accents! If you cannot get a regular bank due to Chex systems find a bank that offers prepaid accounts such as US bank, Bank of America or Wells Fargo! They all have prepaid accounts!

    THE WORST CARD COMPANY IN THE WORLD. I called in regarding a service charge I was completely unaware of. I called into AccountNow and the representative had a hard time pronouncing my name after correcting her a million times. The representative explain that they were not the one charging me however it was my bank. When I contacted my bank they advised members are not charged using cash advances. I contacted AccountNow for the second time and again they had a hard time pronouncing my name. The representative explain it was my bank. After placing me on hold she returns to say "Oh no, it was us that charged you." I've been a valid customer for over a year now and they refuse to credit me back. Closing my account and sticking with my bank.

    I attempted to take out $100 from an ATM machine on December 13th, 2015. The ATM DID NOT dispense my money. I received an error code. I tried a second time thinking maybe the ATM just froze because it has before at this location. The second try I got an Insufficient Funds code. I immediately checked my balance and I had pretty much nothing left in my account. I called the number on the ATM machine and had to leave a message. I then called AccountNow who did inform me that there was a $100 ATM withdrawal pending, AccountNow's fee and the atm's fee for the transaction. I filed a dispute. Here it is the 27th of December and I have had no calls from AccountNow and still no money. And when you call you can't get anyone in the US.

    Unauthorized transaction on my AccountNow prepaid card, I contacted CSR to file a dispute and they tell me to file a claim with merchant for a merchant refund. Merchant could not locate the amount of the unauthorized transaction or the card that was used. By the way the card was in my possession and I've never been at the store this transaction took place. I contact AccountNow CSR to file a dispute, I complete forms and download them to their site and 3 days later I receive a letter in the mail from AccountNow stating after their investigation they have denied my claim. What investigation? They have still yet to provide me with their "investigation" findings to support their decision. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB against AccountNow to try and get my money back.

    I have been a customer with AccountNow for a couple of months now... almost a year. I recently called them to see if they can transfer funds from my account to another account I have with them being that I have left my card with all my funds at home! In the safety of my home I was going Christmas shopping and they told me they couldn't help me. What I didn't know was that my account with my funds had been blocked without my permission!!! So now I was pissed off. I was embarrassed that my card was declined.

    I then called the company and they told me my account was blocked because I left it at home. Now I was pissed off. They didn't have permission to do that to me. When I called to ask them to unblock my card they told me they couldn't do that. They kept giving me runarounds they didn't wanna transfer me they didn't even wanna give me corporate's number. So I took matters into my hands and contacted a corporate lawyer. The lawyer told me there was a suit involved and now I will be taking further action into suing AccountNow. They are unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I rather use a different company. They are a piece of crap company that deserves to be shut down.

    Same experience falling victim to theft like everyone else. I refuse to send my information they're requesting. They sent me the card in my name linked to my SSN to my address but now need to verify it and are locking up $384... all of which was a cash load at a Walgreens store. Curious, has anyone here filed a police report? What they've done to all of us can't possibly be legal, right? Like others, I got the prepaid card for my son to have a card he could use online, etc. I can fortunately afford to get burned for a few hundred but it's extremely frustrating and sad to see how much money they've taken from people, some of whom can't afford it. Somebody needs to shut this operation down. I live close to the supposed corporate office in California so I'll be making a trip to the published address this week as a matter of principle.

    I've had a AccountNow card since 2012. Never had a problem till my card expired and they sent me a new one. I activated it through my smart phone. Went and loaded 150.00 on it. Went to pay a storage bill and it wouldn't work so I called and the person told me my card needed to be activated so I did it and it worked fine. Well I had my check direct deposit on it and went to change my PIN and it said, "The CVV number is invalid."

    I got locked out of my PIN and after calling 5 times this one woman said I can use for a cash advance or use it as credit. I used it twice as credit, took a cash advance, went to get my daughter dinner, and the card said, "Won't process," so I call again. Well the lock was off so she sends me to the automated PIN. Same thing, the CVV number invalid, so I call again. She tells me to use a computer. I go to the computer and I can't even log in so I call again. Now I'm told it will take 24 hours then I'll be able to use my card. So I wait two days, try again, and again the CVV is invalid. Now I'm ** pissed. I have 342.00 on my card so I call again.

    The woman says, "We are sending you another card. It will take 7 to 10 business days to get here." In the meantime I can use mine with my PIN number. I told them, "I don't have a PIN number and now can't use it as credit or get a cash advance. I'm a single, full-time dad. My daughter has asthma." I tell the supervisor, "What am I supposed to do if she has a attack and I don't have her medicine?" All I got in broken English is, "I'm sorry Sir you're going to have to wait for your new card. In the meantime you can use the one you have with the PIN." I asked, "Are you ** hard of hearing? I don't have a PIN number." She says, "You should have put in a PIN when you activated it." if so I have one PIN, only it's not working. I say, "It's attorney time."

    I called AccountNow customer service ahead of time to ask if I used their services, would my check go through 2 days early like they advertise. When I spoke with them this time I was told yes that it would go through right when they received notification from my employer. I knew there were going to be fees and I told them I have a checking account and it cost me nothing but I needed to get paid 2 days early because it was very important and if they could not do it I would go through someone who can, I was ASSURED that I had nothing to worry about and it would go through on Wednesday 10/28/15.

    When I called on 10/28/15, I was told that it would be deposited at 4:00 PM CST and I informed them of the importance that it go through at the time I was promised. I called right when I got out of work and it told me the deposit was pending but had not posted yet, by this time I could not get a representative on the line as they closed and I was never given the hours of operation. I called 10/29/15 starting at 7:43 AM PST. I spoke to yet another rude individual who kept telling me "Look, I told you that it is pending for tomorrow and you will get it deposited then and no one else can help you". I asked to speak to a supervisor and he refused at first and the finally transferred me to someone claiming to be a supervisor who was very robotic and sounded like she only had a vocabulary to tell customer no and she cannot help them with "my issues".

    I asked to speak with her manager and she put me on a 5 minute hold and transferred me to yet another person claiming to be a manager. He kept stumbling over his words telling me that the bank has not sent over the funds yet and that when they did it would be today and it would be deposited today. I told him that I was informed and the whole reason I opted into paying their fees was I needed this on Wednesday and when I called the representative told me once the notification comes in that it would be deposited. He advised that was correct but mine will go through Friday, I told him if that was the case I could have just used my bank account and that means I was lied to and manipulated into using them so they can obtain fees, he did not deny this.

    I asked to speak to an onshore agent and he informed me that they have an office in California and they do not take calls from anyone. I asked again to please speak to an onshore agent and he refused and said he can just transfer me over to another manager and put me on hold for over an hour. I called back after now being on the phone for 2 hours and got another rude rep and asked to speak to a supervisor, he transferred me back into the queue and I got another rep again. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said he had to pull up my account. He did not ask me my name or any info. He asked if can put me on hold and I said no, he put me on hold anyway.

    I have deposit cash money from moneygram into AccountNow Visa card to pay a bill online but the money never cleared. They have no customer service agent to speak with. They are a scam to take your money and identity. Please people go buy a prepaid card from Walgreens or Rite Aid or from a store so you can hold them responsible. You will not be able to get your money or information back once given to AccountNow. They will not be found till the day of judgment.

    AccountNow sucks. I lose my card about 3 months ago. Now I full of all the paper work. I need to even fax my work papers & nothing. I had one person call me back because I had to call them back to tell them I haven't talk to nobody. But a week later I get a paper in the mail saying they can't even my money back to me. I ask why & nobody knows. How can you say that to people? They putting money in this account. So I lose my card I can't even pay my bills on time cause of this dumbass card. The people are slow. I don't know how they got the job when they don't know nothing. This account now is no good and I still don't get no $15. They are full of ** but I will be calling a lawyer.     3 months in a row they have take money out of my account and told me that I had to wait 15 days to get it back. I waited the 15 days and the money was never returned to my account and they told me it was because I had already spent the money when I actually never used the card. Also, mysteriously $30 was missing from my account and again they told me it was Netflix that took it when Netflix faxed me paperwork proving that they only took $9.73 from my account. Finally, they then told me it was because the card that I have had for 5 months was not registered in my name but somehow my ssn was attached to the card. Do not ever get a card from AccountNow. Horrible customer service and bad business. It has been the biggest mistake of my life.

    I tried to transfer money to the 2nd card they sent me in the mail the day after the first one came which I don't know why they did that. I got locked out my account and then they want me to sent a photo ID and the card number to this random number. They are AccountNow they should be able to lift the lock after you give them all the information such as social and birthday. She tried to say that I told someone that my card was lost which I didn't. The other lady laughed in my face so I have to switch banks because I get more respect from the people who don't like me. Can I get someone that speaks English next time? I am a American and this is America. I know you're trying to make a living but none of them should be on the phone. I really don't like AccountNow after this and will be telling everyone not to go there.

    One day I couldn't use my card. Then I call them and they said it has been some activity on my card. So I call faxed them the information they needed three time then they claimed they didn't get it. So I went to the website to upload my documents then they say they need more documents. Now when I'm trying to upload the documents it's not letting me. I called them back and they said that they website is fine and it's my computer. Then I go tell her I tried to use three other computers and it didn't work. All they can say is try again. I've been trying to get my card back for a full month now and still can't get it. They have horrible service and u should never get none of their cards ever.

    This company is HORRIBLE. They came up with some of the most ridiculous reasons to suspend my account. Consequently, they got away with sixty dollars of my money. In fact, I would go as far as saying.. they stole from me. They have kept, as I previously stated sixty dollars of my money, which mysteriously cannot be found anywhere. I don't know what else to call it. Webster's definition of stealing is: Taking and/or keeping something that does not rightfully belong to you. That is exactly what AccountNow did. I did as they asked to lift a suspension that was placed on my account, for reasons I am still not clear on. They kept saying they weren't receiving said information. Finally I was told they had received the necessary information to lift the ridiculous suspension off my account. They never did (lift the suspension).

    I called their horrible customer service. I even spoke with a supervisor, supposedly, several times. I think I did a very good job at maintaining my cool under the circumstances. The alleged supervisor actually hung up on me. She started out bad but, ended our conversation horribly by, as I said, hanging up on me. It was at that point I realized I was not going to get anywhere. In an effort to prevent from having a stoke or heart attack, it was in my best interest to cut my losses. My losses came to a grand total of, again, sixty dollars. Not to mention a few hours of my time, which turned out to be a total waste of my time. This company is the worst. With all the prepaid credit cards available.. stay away from ACCOUNTNOW.

    I got a prepaid card from AccountNow that I have my Veterans Benefits direct deposited to. I allowed my girlfriend to use my card. She accidentally typed in the wrong pin so AccountNow froze my account. They asked for me to send them proof of my identity which I did and Account now decided that the documents provided were not good enough. After months of arguing and making complaints against the company they overnighted a check for the balance on the account which was a total of $2,229.24. (The treasury that issued my funds called them and that's how I finally got them to send me my check).

    When I went to cash the check the bank was skeptical about whether the check was real. So the bank sent the check to their bank asking for a cashier's check. Their bank sent the check back asking for a $35 fee to process the check. My bank declined to pay the fee so the check was sent back to me. I called Bank of America who issued the check and they could not verify that the account even exist. AccountNow has sent me a fake check to cover the amount of money they stole from me in the first place. All I can say is "WOW". I served this country overseas in Iraq and was injured. The compensation that I receive has been stolen by Account now and know me and my two kids are on the verge of getting evicted and having our power shut off. Thank you AccountNow for being complete crooks and I will see your ** in court.

    I got my mail here from the Executive Office asking me to e-mail them my details and they would try to help clear things up as soon as possible. I sent them the information. They replied with good news telling me I will be able to withdraw my funds. However, I sent many more e-mails as well as sat on hold for more than an hour after speaking to a customer service rep. With no results whatsoever. Finally at 8:57 P.M. I hung up the phone and closed my e-mail. The customer service rep told me they had not received any notifications stating what the e-mail said about releasing my fund, so it was then I asked to speak to a supervisor. They kept me on hold for more than hour.

    I am not certain but I have feeling they left hold purposely and not sure if the office was even open during the last 30 minutes or more of my holding. Also, in the e-mail telling me that I would get my funds released, they stated that after I make the withdraw, they would be closing my account permanently. So, I have no intention on trying to keep it open but it feels to me that they wanted to return my money then be rid of me permanently simply because I am not tolerant to B.S. and made a fuss about what they have done. I am even more frustrated now than before.

    My father in law loaded money onto our card. We used it, worked fine. Week 2, he loaded some more for us. We went to the atm to withdraw cash and the receipt showed a code saying "card has been reported lost or stolen". I call them and they tell me that they froze the account for suspicious activity. I ask what activity and they tell me it is because it was loaded from a state different from which I live. So now, they want me to inconvenience my father in law by asking him to send the load receipt along with other documents in my possession to them. The last name on the card is mine, which is the same as my father in law, who loaded it.

    I don't understand what is so suspicious about someone loading money to a card owned by someone in a different state from them. It was a cheaper option than MoneyGram or Western Union. Apparently, not safer however. I would rather pay the fees. This is a complete joke. Now, I have money due this morning that I cannot pay because getting financial help from the in laws is suspicious. I will never use this company again nor will I recommend it to anyone. This is completely wrong. They did not even contact me via e-mail nor phone to let me know there was a problem. I go to use the card, and how humiliating when it shows "this card has been reported lost or stolen".

    Ordered the AccountNow card to receive my Direct Deposit from Social Security. Signed up without a problem. Transferred my Direct Deposit to their card, using the account information supplied by them. Went to their online site to check on the activation process, and was denied access to the account information. Presented with several dispute links, an upload link and a phone number. No information about why I was being denied access. Called the information number and was connected to someone who was still learning English, as well as eating at their desk at the time of my call. What a disgusting and unprofessional habit! Attempts to understand what this person was saying to me were, to say the least, not successful. Asked repeatedly to speak with anyone else, but was told that there was no one else in the office, or at least that was what I guessed him to be saying.

    After repeatedly trying to get him to transfer me to a supervisor, he hung up on me. I was getting my first taste of AccountNow's friendly customer service. Called back the next day to again try to discover the reason I was unable to access my account information. Although the person I spoke with did have an accent, at least he was understandable.

    I was told that my account had been closed pending receipt of "documentation". Of course I asked what documentation was needed, I was told: A copy of my current ID, A copy of my award letter, A copy of a current utility bill, A copy of my Social Security Card. This was of course out of the question for me, as my landlord provides utilities, cable as well as phone service, which is included in my rent. I explained this to him, and he responded with the option to send in a current award letter with my current address, as well as a copy of my ID, as long as it had the same current address on it, which it does. So I went out to have electronic copies made of these two items and sent them to AccountNow via the upload link on their site, and then waited, and waited, then waited some more.

    By now, the funds had been sent by Treasury to my Direct Deposit account, which of course had been closed temporarily while waiting for documentation. So I had to wait an additional week for the paper check to be issued and mailed. Then I heard from an unpleasant women from AccountNow who informed me in her unpleasant nasal voice, that she was calling me regarding my call to them about my account status. I gave her the information I got from their understandable representative, and was told that "Yes I see the documents you sent to us." And surprise! ... they were not acceptable to them. Again explaining that utilities and such were included in my rent, the nasal voice responded that I needed to go to the Post Office and have them send a letter to verify I received mail at the address I had submitted to them.

    The Post Office looked at me as if I were on drugs when I explained what I needed them to do. They then offered to allow me to send myself a letter to myself at my address, and that should provide the proof that was needed. In addition, I had sent AccountNow a copy of my award letter, which was addressed to me, at the address I live, less than two weeks prior. After again calling and receiving the wait... wait... wait for the callback, it finally came! My self-addressed letter had arrived days ago, but that was not acceptable for address verification, the Post Office had to send the letter.

    I told the person who had called me that I had sent all the verification that was available to me, the award letter with my current address, my ID with my current address, and this ridiculous letter with my current address. He replied that this was not acceptable proof, that the account remained closed pending address verification, and that I needed to provide proof of my address before the account would be reopened and able to accept funding. By this time I was fed up with the runaround, the inconvenience as well as the obvious attempt by this company to withhold access to my account. Simple and easy to use are not words that I would use to describe any dealings with this company, or their product. I finally had to admit that I would rather use bartering and Stone-age currency than deal with these people.

    Called Social Security, again had my Direct Deposit changed, and am now awaiting my funds to be available to me via US Direct Express, the card available through the Treasury Department's agreement with Comerica Bank. Sorry if this is long winded, but I wanted to be accurate, and I must admit I feel better having got it off my chest. This company and its verification protocols are ineffective. Their third world support team is a joke, and whoever it is that calls people at their homes with their "responses" should be, well instead of speaking my mind, I'll leave it at this: it should be very unpleasant!

However, while I was aware of charges for use at ATMs and transactions that require a pin, I was not aware that you are charged $1 for every transaction whether a pin number was entered or not!!!     First let me say I've been with this company for over a year. I received a new card and someone used my numbers to purchase things from various places in June of this year. I called and reported it to them. Sent in the paper work. They told me to download and I got a letter stating that they didn't find no fraudulent activity because I checked my account at the same time and translation was going through. Lol. So now I'm having a hard time getting my money back and they told me it's my job to do the investigation. Huh? I'm not the police but we supposed to have fraud protection. Lmfao. They not right so I wouldn't recommend this company to no one.

    We used our debit from AccountNow to pay a few bills. Little did I know that charged a total of 15.00 extra dollars. The scammers said Wells Fargo took it according to my statement which they claimed later it was incorrect. They lead us on saying "You could get your money up two days early." I get paid on Fridays, received my money on Friday even after calling on Thursday at noon and they said that they received my direct deposits. My funds were not release until my pay date on Friday. Please take my advice - stay away. This company is Fraudulent!!! I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Please join me and let's make it hard for them to take our hard earned money. I would rather give it to a person in need whom I can see.

    I purchased a prepaid AccountNow Visa card for my 17 yr old son, who wanted to make purchases online. I loaded the card with $80.00 and paid the $4.95. My son went online to activate his card, it says they need to verify his identity, he needs to send a copy of his Driver's license, social security card, and bank statement. He tried to use the card online - the card declined saying not a valid card. I call customer service, spoke to a gentlemen who could not speak an ounce of English, explained the issue, then got hung up on. Called back again, spoke to another gentlemen who had a heavy accent as well, again explained to this person the issue I was having. I was told unfortunately I can't use this card to make online purchases, it can only be used in retail stores. However the packaging states shop online, pay bills, and more on it.

    Then was told I could use it online using a billing zip code which is in California 94583. I was told that it is a federal law I send my 17 yr old's private and personal information to a fax number. We again tried to make a purchase online, declined saying card was not valid. I called back once again and spoke to another person with an accent who tells me again that it is federal law that they obtain this info from my 17 yr old, I explained to her I was not comfortable faxing that kind of information to a random number. She then stated I could use the card as a credit card which we were trying to do and it was declined saying not a valid card.

    I told her I had spoke to someone who told the card had its own zip code for billing purposes, she told I was misinformed that there no billing zip code. So I said to her "basically you are telling one your representatives give misleading and wrong information as well as your false advertisement on your packages". She said "unfortunately yes". She was getting rude at this point. I asked how I could get my money back from them, "unfortunately there is no way, go to a retail store and use your card as credit." The woman was rude and snippy, refused to come up with a resolution.

    At this point I asked to speak to a supervisor, the supervisor was less than helpful, however told me in order to use the card online I needed to use the billing zip code associated with the company 94583. I asked "what address do I use?" She said "you don't need an address". I also stated that the women who transferred me to her, told there was no billing zip code associated with the cards. Again another employee misinformation. We have attempted multiple times to make purchases online - all which were declined. Definitely will never purchase this brand gift card again. We are out $85.

    On April 27th 2015 I experienced my first ever mistake/discrepancy at an ATM in a convenience store near where I lived. In a transaction in which 100 dollars was requested, only 20 dollars was dispensed. The owner of the ATM (Mission Bank) after I contacted them by telephone explaining what had happened, and seeing their ATM over by the amount I had alleged being shorted graciously AND immediately without requiring an appearance in person by me or any red tape at all followed the procedure for such an event and returned the 80 dollars I had been shorted by their ATM to MY bank (Bankcorp Bank/Account Now Visa.)

    It is now 12 July 2015 and despite numerous contacts (and one must understand that banks hopefully are employing rigorous protocols, policies and procedures to attempt to protect your money from being stolen by parties numerous and unscrupulous, but this incident is far and away beyond any such reasonable means) at least 6 by telephone alongside.

    An equal number of e-mails to the banks disputes department (while they continue to claim there is no dispute. And there most certainly is: I am disputing the FACT that they have not yet returned my 80.00) in which they have repeatedly asked me to send them photocopies of my ID and mail showing current mailing address, which I have repeatedly done and have done my best to remain pleasant despite the fact that I am disabled and have a fixed income, AND have answered all of the "security questions" pertaining to the account, the purpose of which are to identify me as the owner of the account in question.

    I continue to get the runaround and have not, at this writing, received my 80.00, and doubt that I ever will, because I'm quite certain that the balance (the account was forced closed by the Social Security Administration at my request so that the amount in question could NOT be eaten up by the 9.95 a month fee charged by the bank for having the account. My occupation is Advocate for the Disabled, since 2001 (unfunded) and my chosen field is a helping one NOT intended to build ME a bank balance. I do not charge people to help them, rather helping if, and when I can. Account Now is very flexible with a user friendly interface allowing many varied transactions and for a long time I referred all my clients to them (receiving, nor asking any referral fee my motive being one of client benefit only).

    I got the AccountNow card one to split my paycheck up with my bill money going to my regular bank account and spending money to the AccountNow card because it pays you two days early... Well I guess the saying that you get what you pay for is true. I misplaced my wallet and when I called in to get a new card and change my address they asked me the most random questions that would not have been on public record nor that I would have put as a security question. When I didn't answer the questions correctly they told me that I would have to send documents to prove my identity. Okay great! No problem! So I thought...

    I sent in all the paperwork that was requested, called to check on the status to a customer service that is clearly outsourced because NO ONE speaks English clearly not even the manager. They told me that they never received my documents so I ended up sending my documents 3 TIMES!!! And they still sent my card to my old address! That I have no longer have access to. So now I have to wait for them to send me another card and I have to pay 25 to have it "expedited" HA!!! That's a joke. They says that it was processed on Friday. I am pretty sure that I would get the card in the mail till Friday of next week. DON'T USE THIS CARD~!!!

They just shut me down, froze up my account, funds. I am on s.s. and need what little I get. It was months before they released a new card and unfroze my account. I had to send Id proof to them not once but 4 times, one excuse after another. "I didn't get it. You need to send it again". 3 day guarantee to have problem solved. Ha-ha I never received a refund of 536.00 taken. I agree. Cut up your card!!! Do not use this company.

    I had this card for 5 months and decided to recently use it. I uploaded $250 and another $310 via MoneyGram. Thought I would use the card to track my expenses better. Made my first purchase at a gas station. Attempted to make a second purchase and my card was declined. When I called customer service these ** said my card was suspended for 'cash activity'. I asked them define cash activity, they couldn't not answer. I told them "it's a ** prepaid card, of course there will be cash activity!" They wanted documents to verify my identity, for one freaking purchase! Then had the nerve to say it would take 72 hours to verify, as if I had three freakin days for them to verify my account!

    I was livid! I said "you didn't verify my information when you sent me the card? Why now?" I was on vacation in the middle of ** Egypt with no cash or cards. I told them I was stuck with no funds and all they said was "we are sorry". I told that rep, "don't be sorry, activate my ** card or wire me some gas money to get home!" ROBBERY! I sent them the required verification documents weeks ago. I lost $500 dollars, simply because they felt the need to suspend without a courtesy call or email or anything. These ** are crooks! DO NOT USE ACCOUNTNOW PREPAID CARDS.

    I have been using AccountNow gold since September of 2013. It started out great. I was able to receive my benefits early, that was my main reason for getting this card. I get at least two direct deposits on this card a month. I can really now see that this card is a rip off. I am charged a monthly maintenance fee of $9.95, in addition I am charged an additional fee of $2.50 every time I use an ATM besides the ATM's charge. I receive social security and my money is usually on my card on the 29th of every month. However my money is not on my card and when I call AccountNow their representatives hardly speak any English and are unhelpful. They act like I'm calling to ask to borrow money, instead of inquiring about MY own money. I am very disappointed with the service and plan on getting a new account elsewhere. This is ridiculous.

    I order this card for my tax return to be deposit on. It was release on 4/29/2015. Call after never receiving my card. They claim it was return due to invalid address (really) so now I need all these documents to prove my identity and proof of address. Sent all that info - fax it more enough times only to be told they never receive it. Now that they have still waiting on restriction to come off all these month. Finally did sent me a new card only to block that one. Now I need all the info all over again to take block this one.

    They say they do not keep your info that's why they need it again. They full of **. I am going sue this ** company and they need people who speaks English so you can get a better understanding from C.S. And management sorry **. I hate these people. Never ever use them for nothing - I mean nothing. They just want people to give up so they can keep your money. Do not give in. Keep calling their ** and you get. Please remove all your money.     On June 5th 2015 I reported my card lost. They told me in order to receive a rush delivery for 2-3 business days I would receive the card by June 10th...Well June tenth came still no card. I called customer service they told me they had a problem with the card department and don't know when it would be fix. I paid for rush delivery which was never rushed they still wanted to keep my 25. Come to find out they never mailed the card so I canceled the card but they wanted me to pay 25 for cancellation. Now my employer direct deposit my funds. I no longer want the card and now they refuse to return my money to me or my job. My job contacted them and so did I. They are very unprofessional majority can't speak proper English and they were very rude. My card balance was well over three hundred. This a bad company...In order to get your money back you will have to sue them. I was late on paying my rent. My phone was shut off. They really inconvenience me.

    I called AccountNow Monday and got a card expedited which they charged me $25 that same day and told me I would have my card 2 to 3 business days and they told me to call the next day for the tracking number. I was expecting to receive my card Wednesday or Thursday since I called and got it expedited Monday. I called the next day and they didn’t have a tracking number AND they told me that the card hadn’t been sent out yet so they told me to call the next day so I did and the same story. Thursday came still no card. I called them and they told me that FedEx would be bringing it to me Friday. Friday came and left and STILL NO CARD. When I called Friday and complained they said that it would come later that night or Saturday. Friday came and left and now today’s Saturday and STILL NO CARD. I wouldn’t have paid an expedited fee IF I really wasn’t going to receive my card in 2 to 3 business days like they promised.

    Then they turn around and tell me 2 to 3 business days AFTER the card has been sent out. Remind you that I called Monday morning so that gave them plenty of time to send the card out the same day like I was expecting but they wait 2 days to send it out but took $25 off of my card the same day I expedited it. I could have not paid that fee and just waited 7 to 10 business days to receive my card like they said if I knew they were going to tell me one thing then do another. It’s like they swindled me out of $25 bucks and I don’t like that plus I really, really needed my card. I had things to pay for as far as for my son and some things for my job. That’s the only reason I told them I’ll pay the $25 fee. They told me that I would have a tracking number the next day and didn’t and they told me FedEx would be delivering it but how when you don’t have a tracking number. Then they turn around and tell me it will come in the mail.

    My prepaid card of AccountNow expired on 5/2015. Before that date I kept checking my mail to get the new one and they never send it. I have a balance of 73.00 dollars and can't use it. I called them and their English is very bad pronounced. The lady told me that they will send a new one but they charged me 10.00 for the new card. And I always had the blue card and found out they had me like I had the gold card which they charge 9.95 a month of fees. When I told her I always had the blue card that they needed to not charge me the fees, she said they can't do nothing about it. I'm super frustrated, I'm a single mom with bills to pay and they have my money which I can't have access to it. Please never order or use AccountNow card.

    I have been compromised with this card for the second time in two years! This first time was when I was in the hospital and my card was in my pocketbook, this time my card was lost/stolen from my purse and all my SSD CHECK was taken! They sent a new card with no money returned on it after I did everything that was instructed. Now it has been past 10 business days and still I'm waiting! I've filed a complaint with the BBB and my next step will be to a lawyer!

    The company use fraud tactic to reel you in such as receive your payroll up to 2 business days earlier. That's a lie. It's never came 2 days earlier let alone one day earlier. They charge you for all these different fees. You pay 5 dollars for a ATM withdrawal or more and you charge a dollar per each purchase or anytime you swipe your card. No limit. They offer promotion for opening up a direct deposit account in the amount of $15 I never received. You only had to have 500$ directed into your account for two months but then after you call and wonder where that is they give you another incentive.

    Their representatives give wrong information. It changes per each representative - they lack information need by customers. They can't give customer satisfaction because they know the least about their services as if they were never trained. I'm highly dissatisfied with card holder services from AccountNow and wish I could report and have their whole system and bank looked into. They rip off people's hard earn money and don't replace it.

    Customer Service at AccountNow has denied to issue me a new card to gain access to my funds directly deposited by IRS into my account on Jan. 30, 2015. My old card expired at the end of December 2014. I moved to new address in January and the new card they said they issued I never received before I moved. Yet they won't send a new card to my new address. They requested documents to prove my identity in which I successfully submitted and they received. Then they still wouldn't issue a new card and wanted documents proving place of residence. I submitted my car insurance policy from Allstate, a bill from State Of Utah, and my drivers license. All documents have my new address. Although Account still denied issue new card and stated to me they needed a Utility Bill.

    I informed them I do not have Utility Bill in my name at my new address. I declared to them that I've already proven my identity so are they calling me a liar of my residency address I provided. More than a dozen times on the phone for accumulated hours trying to resolve the issue. Customer service was less than adequate and their request for information became redundant and repetitive because I already sent information to satisfy the issue of a card. They became so difficult I requested on numerous occasions to return funds to IRS. They said they would but has been confirmed by IRS of no such receipt. And the IRS confirmed the deposit.

    On this day 20th day of May, 2015 I was told by AccountNow representative that sent money back to IRS. I also talked to IRS representative and they confirmed to me the results of a trace they issued on Feb. 16, 2015. No receipt of funds from AccountNow but confirmed again the deposit of said funds by DD on Jan 30, 2015. I'm at a huge loss. Any advice or resolution help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

    I encouraged my son to get this card because I have had one for over 5 years with no complaints til now. My son had his over two years. He recently deposited his entire pay check on his card then was unable to access his money because the card was expired. When he contacted customer service his birthday was somehow entered inaccurately in their system and he was told he would have to FAX documents to prove his identity to receive a new card. After being put on hold for an hour he spoke to a supervisor who was of no help.

    They would not even transfer the funds to my AccountNow card which is one of the reasons why I suggested he get one in the first place. I had done this several times and told them so. We were on a three way phone call. How could you allow an expired card to accept your money but them deny you access to it?! 2 to 3 weeks to get a new card. Ridiculous! I am withdrawing all funds and cutting my card in half. Be aware... Check your expiration date on your card before adding funds!

    This is the worst prepaid account you can ever get! DO NOT DO IT. I loaded $ onto an expired card by accident, & been through hell since. First, they restricted it, then they wouldn't take any mail I sent for proof of mail. When they finally lifted the restriction, 15$ was gone. They charged a monthly fee charge for a card that was EXPIRED. Then turned around, & charged for every time I called c.s. Never informed me I was being charged but always informed I was being recorded. Then they ordered me a new card without my consent, after knowing I wanted my $ transferred to another card.     I had to cut up old card because some fraud activity on my account. They said a replacement card be here 7 days. Here it is 15 days later, card hasn't shown up. Unable access to my money. They said it be another 7 business days. I can't do that, need access to my money for bills. They are unwilling to work with me. Visa account now is horrible.     My money was taken off my card that was attached to PayPal, after going back and forth I contacted Account Now. I spoke with a representative to file a claim April 3rd, 2015. I was told that I would have to download a complaint form and submit it, due to the fact I didn't have a printer or fax at the time I visited my local library with no success. I contacted Account Now again and told them of the dilemma. I was guaranteed that one will be mailed to me. After waiting in vain I contacted Account Now and was told I would have to download the form. With the back and forth between PayPal and Account Now there were new charges, therefore I had to update my claim, at least so I thought.

    I later found out that after I faxed more than 24 pages of documentation including the claim form and uploaded photos they were never reviewed, because it was already decided. I just hadn't received the notification neither the emails I was promised. Long story short I'm out of more than $3000.00 cause "they didn't see where it was an error"!! DO NOT USE ACCOUNT NOW, YOU AS A CONSUMER IS NOT PROTECTED. If your money is stolen you might as well call it a loss especially if you’re banking with this illegitimate company!

    I ordered this card so I can get my tax refund. They took 4.95 when my money was first deposited then took $1 for every transaction after that. It's a complete rip off and scam. It is the worst card I ever had. I wish I never ever ordered this card. I talked to plenty of supervisors and managers and they're just as worse as the Customer Service, they don't care how you feel and they going to keep telling you it's nothing they can do.     I’ve had this card for less than a month and made 4 deposits on this account, terms and conditions state that they will take a 9.95 fee at the time of first value load which took place on 4/6/2015. They didn't take the fee till I made my fourth load. Stating that they took the fee out on the 4/22/15 due to a cash load. But nowhere in the terms or fees or the cardholder agreement does it state a cash load, only states a value load. I ask “what would happen if I didn't load cash”. They stated “be glad you have been charged yet”. This is the second time in two week. I ask to be giving a call back about the account and that never takes place.

    Hi. Today is April 22nd 2015. As for now they advertise that "you can get paid 2 days before your actual pay date" which I have qualified and received it for the past couple of months. I was depending on that and all of a sudden it didn't happen yesterday and when I call the customer service they did nothing about it. But they still advertise about getting paid 2 days earlier than your actual pay date. Please don't make promises that you can't keep because people depend on that. I think as a bank they should be more responsible about what they can offer to their customers.

    Back in Feb 2015, I called to inquire about my funds from social security on my AccountNow card. Without my consent, they froze my account and had me upload my id, social and birth certificate and my lease. I did that then when I called to have them unblock my account, they said they need a L.O.I from Social Security (who does not do that by the way). I have called everyday for the last 2 mos asking to open the account so I can withdraw my funds or issue me a check. I have gotten the run around from AccountNow daily and still haven't gotten my funds of $177. I call and either hung up on or put on hold for fifty minutes and when I ask to speak to a supervisor, I am told, "We will not release the funds." This is absurd and downright illegal. Do not do business with this company. Social Security said it is up to me to get my funds back from AccountNow, but each day I call I get more and more frustrated.

    Please do not use AccountNow! They are out to take your money. Okay, my account got restricted because I tried to deposit my bf tax refund into my account. I didn't know I couldn't. So I called the lady, act like she didn't even wanna tell me why it was restricted because at the time I didn't know so I finally got it outta her. So I was fine with that because it was my mistake. They told me to send in some documents to reopen it. I told them that I don't have any utility bills in my name so they gave me other options so I uploaded them.

    To make a long story short I kept sending in documents after documents and I'm keep getting the run around and everybody telling me some complete different. "your if and ssc is fine but your proof of address isn't", "we can't read your id", "send in some else." These ppl is some else! Now I just talked to someone and he told me they never received the deposit for my bf taxes. I'm like I just talked to a lady like 2 weeks ago and she told me that's why it's been restricted. They sent back my state refund because it wasn't really nothing but they kept the big money the federal!

    It's so hard to get in contact with them. It's crazy coz they lock you outta everything. You can't even get in contact with a rep because of the lock. I had to get another card just to talk to them. I need my money. I'm struggling because of this. My account's been locked for almost 2 months and no one can't help me. Not even the manager!     AccountNow card was pretty cool in the beginning, but over the years they have really lapse with everything from their outdated systems down to the meaningless overseas script reading underage reps. AccountNow has a program that allow you to be placed in a weekly drawing that allow you to win certain denotations of money based on how many direct deposits. I started out with one card then I moved to having 2 due a part-time job and I didn't want the money combine with my full-time job and school money. That is a total of 4 direct deposits a month. I'm thinking being with this company for over 10 yrs I would have won something by now. Well no I haven't. A person like me look forward to those types of perks seeming thought it's a prepaid card.

    Well I randomly stopped being placed in the drawings, then things started happening. When you set-up the account they ask for all your information name, addy, email, etc. So when my card was restricted I didn't receive a call nor a email. Pay day has arrived and I am unable to use my card, not to mention Christmas was just 6 days away. I called and was told that my card was blocked, couldn't get an explanation as to why but it was blocked. After being passed around to many useless people, I was told I would get a new card in 7-10 days. After verifying my address I never received my card.

    After calling back and having to be ignorant and asking for someone that was/is born in America and understand customer service as well as going that step and beyond to help the customer to understand what the issues is/was I got a person on the line that informed me the reason I did get my card was.. wait for it - Their system don't allow the apartment number to be on the same line as the street number so the information was missing my apartment number and my reg mailman was on vacation so the card was sent back. So I had to wait another 7-10 days. Then I requested that my card be expedited which would be a $45 fee, but let's not forget none of this is my fault. When all was said and done, I didn't receive my card until January 3.

    Now introducing AccountNow Purchase Rewards. AccountNow Purchase Rewards (laughing hysterically), this is the biggest joke by far that they have come up with. Sooo you pay your Sprint PCS bill and the cash back offer comes up for T-Mobile, buy something from Bath & Body works and an offer appears for The Body Shop. Make a purchase at Foot Locker and the offer appears for Dick's sporting goods. Pay your Comcast cable bill and the offer for DirecTV appears. I guess you guys get it by now.

    So I paid my Cable bill and activated the cash back offer, after paying the bill the next month, I was to receive a cash back bonus of $100. When it came time to receive the reward I got nothing. Once again I have to call and speak with the non-English comprehending people once again. Do you know the young lady read everything off the website verbatim as if I didn't understand what I was doing or reading, and on top of all that my card was restricted once again and I had to wait again for a new card, once again, there was no reason as to why, but it just happened. It seems these American companies don't care about those that keep their company afloat, as long as we keep their yacht afloat everything is okay.

    I've used AccountNow for several years now. I recently started a new job and decided to have my employer to direct deposit onto my AccountNow card. My funds went into the bank on Monday April 13th 2015. When it came time to withdraw funds to pay bills, I could not find my card. After searching and not being able to locate my card I then contacted AccountNow to request a new card and cancel the lost or stolen one.

    The first representative I spoke with was foreign and spoke mispronounced simple words so this caused me to fail my identity test. She didn't tell me I failed, she said "we need you to send in a copy of your drivers license, voter registration, social security card." I sent everything they asked for on this day the 13th for them to expedite my card for a charge of 25.00. I was told it would take about 72 hours to be reviewed. I didn't like it but what could I do? I called back on the 14th Tuesday, they told me that they needed a bill with my name on it. I tried to explain that I was no longer at that address, I was with my daughter in her apt. the bills was in her name and that her last name is the same as mine.

    I and my wife have been customers for over 5 years with this bank, we have our federal benefits from SSDI and the VA deposited there monthly. On 4-3-15, we discovered our accounts had been hacked and we both called ACCOUNT NOW, immediately and explained the seriousness of this situation. They immediately closed both our accounts and told us they would send out new cards immediately. My wife received hers only 4 days later. I have as of this date, 4-15-15, still not received mine, I have called continually for the past 5 days, because I already have a deposit sitting in this account, and THEY have already swiped up their 10.00 fee, and I still can’t access any of my cash because, I STILL DON'T HAVE A CARD.

    And here's the best part...every time I call I’m given a different story, here's the list; Oh, it was mailed out the 6th, we still have, technically, 7 days or oh we still have technically 10 days or it will be there, guaranteed, by the close of the 15th!!! Or it has been sent out FedEx and will be delivered to your door, by the end of the 15th or well, it was sent out the 6th and technically we have till Monday, the 20th!!! I have been treated with such disrespect, literally called a liar by one of the customer service agents, who said MY RECORDS DON'T SHOW ANYONE TELLING YOU IT WAS SENT OUT FEDEX!

    I asked her to review the voice recording of the conversation. They do record those for TRAINING PURPOSES DON'T THEY??? Security wasn't any better. I asked them to do a card to card transfer to my wife's account so we can pay our bills. NOPE, SORRY CAN’T DO IT. NEED TO WAIT FOR THE CARD TO ARRIVE!!! These people are no more than common thieves, and someone need to investigate them, really, how can they continue to hold other peoples money, state and federal benefits, causing family’s hardship??? AVOID THIS CARD, BANCORP, METABANK, or ANY pre-paid card affiliated with these people!!!

    I didn't have much to begin with. Only about $130 in my account. I paid at the pump $10 in gas and the bank put a hold on for $126. I didn't know until my family (my wife and 2 yr old daughter) and I went in to buy about $30 in groceries at Walmart. Walmart's machine denied my card. NSF. I called the bank. This all happened on April 15th. The bank told me about the hold. Unfortunately for my family because my daughter requires special milk and food because of medical problems. Guess what? I couldn't buy her anything. That was all the money we had left until I got paid over a week later. No food for my wife and I either. AccountNow said the hold should be off by the 21st of April. So, we have no food for any of us, I can't put gas in the car to get to work for 6 days. They do not care about human life. No compassion. Just what they can steal from you and put in there pockets.

    I am going to contact an attorney. I am going to take them to claims court for emotional distress, starvation, and public humiliation since we had to leave the basket at the register with ALL our food in it. We have nothing of value to pawn or sell. AccountNow screwed my family. And they didn't care. Just kept reading the script on the computer screen. They kept putting me on hold hoping to hang up when I asked to speak to a supervisor and when they finally came back, it was the same person posing as a supervisor. Please please please!!! I beg all of you. Don't get caught up with these people. They will leave you hanging. What if I were traveling and this happened. Guess what? I would be stuck and on the street for 6 days with being able to eat. They wont care.

    I loaded $250.00 to the card to make an online purchase for flight tickets for an upcoming vacation. I use prepaid cards for online purchases to help protect my bank account as I have been a victim of fraud. When I tried to purchase my tickets I got a deck in message and noticed my card was expired. I called in to see why I hadn't received a new card and was informed one wants mailed to my old address and had been sent back. I asked, "Why would it be sent to my old address when I called in and updated my account when I moved almost two years ago?" I was given a simple "I don't know." After providing all my information (name, date of birth, SSN, old address, new address, mother's maiden name, and what I had for breakfast a month ago) I was told I didn't pass the security and needed to send in a copy of my DL and either a bank statement or a utility bill that is within 60 days.

    I sent the bank statement and DL copy, after 10 days of neither receiving the new card nor a phone call I called in and was told that the bank statement wasn't acceptable (although it was within 60 days) and was told to send in a utility bill. I faxed that in and called to ensure it was received and was told it could take up to 72 hours. I made a follow-up call Monday morning to check the status when I noticed my account balance went from $250 to $229. When I inquired they told me that I am charged a dollar every time I call in. When I requested to speak to a manager I was on hold for well over ten minutes even though my estimated wait time was less than one minute. The manager was of no help and couldn't tell me why my bank statement wasn't accepted. All she had to say was "Sorry, try back in Wednesday." This company is full of lies and fees and I will NEVER EVER EVER load another red cent to this AccountNow card.... EVER!!!

    Transferred AccountNow 780 from my USAA account to my prepaid AccountNow account. I was informed because my AccountNow card expired I would not be able to transfer to my new AccountNow card. I would have to wait for them to issue the new card. So I asked if I transfer the money back to my bank and the representative said yes but it would take 3 to 5 business days to transfer. I waited and the day it cleared AccountNow put a block on my AccountNow account and left me with a $749 negative balance with my USAA account. I called AccountNow to resolve this matter and got the run around. I was left on hold for more than 50 minutes. I am still waiting. They asked for me to upload proof of address because an employee tried to change my address without my permission.

    This is the worse bank I have ever used. They steal your money from right in front of you. You will never see your money for long time/never. If you lose your card they charge you 9.95 a month on top of the super unreported charges they charge you for using the card. Talking to customer service is like talking to a robot reading a Paper. The people working for them don't speak Good English.

    I am currently living in Hawaii. I visited PA. I left my debit card (AccountNow) card by mistake. So I called AccountNow and asked, "Can I Western Union my money?" The AccountNow rep said, "No." Then she asked me if I would like to restrict my account. I said,"Helllll, nooooo, please do not restrict my account 'cause you will be putting me and my family out on the streets with no food."

    So then I looked on my AccountNow online account and found out that they can moneygram my money. But that service has been terminated because the brainless rep decided to put restriction on my account even though I told them not to. So I called them and they cannot take away the restriction. I have to order a new card. So pretty much what they told me was they messed up and put a restriction so they will do nothing to fix and my only option is order new card. Thanks AccountNow for putting me and my family out on the streets in PA. If I could sue AccountNow or their rip-off bank I would. Your bank is the worst bank that exist.

    If you think just bc you can get paid a day earlier that this card is a winner, you're wrong!! Let me start by saying I'm looking for another bank now. First and foremost this card is some bs!! I mean why should you have to wait 2-5 business days for a refund of your money??!! Why should you have an autohold on your card for purchasing gas at a pump?? And it's not the gas station it's the card!! It's been numerous of times where I've been broke but had money!! It was just on hold (all my money on hold for $10)!!! Like really?? I took back a dress bc of my reasons and it was purchased on my card, long story short my money isn't up there yet and I was told it take 2-5 business days!!     This card is a straight rip off. They stay deducting fees off your balance. I had it set up to where my rent went onto this card. AccountNow removed 5.00 from my card and in return bounced my rent payment. When I called to find out what happened I could not get a straight answer from anyone. So this lovely company cost me 35.00 owing to my management company. All that they said to me was to read the fee schedule.. WTF. I could have stayed at the Wells Fargo or hell US bank if I wanted to deal with BS.. My advice is RUUNNN.. I have canceled my direct deposit from going to this and will tell anyone that will listen. This company is a straight rip off..

    This is a HORRIBLE company. They are very unprofessional and 3\4 of the staff barely can speak English. They have held my $3807.78 since Feb 25 and swear they sent it back to the IRS on March 20th yet it's April 3rd and the IRS doesn't have it.     My husband lost his AccountNow gold card that had his ssd pay on it. Mind you he's 60 years old with serious health problems. We called and tried to have his pay put on another AccountNow card. They asked some security questions - he got one wrong. He was locked out. He has onset Alzheimer's, and emphysema. After uploading all documents and more they said they would release money to other card. I had to have his oxygen refilled and had no funds and need this money. They held me up numerous times. Saying they would release these. Well not yet happened. I don't know how they can do this and continue to.

    Someone got my card number and ran up charges, called and it was confirmed with them to the tune of about $300. I had about $475.00 left in my account... well when we established my account was compromised, they frozen the rest of my remaining money till I could send them documents to prove I am me. Once I did that they said call after 72 hours... well all I get is voicemail to leave a message. I am a single mom, I have my checks direct deposited into this account. I have no money besides this. I get robbed by someone who got my card number and then they keep the money I have left. My truck is in the shop, I was suppose to get it out with that money. Rent is due and I cant even buy food. The money that was stolen from my account they said I needed to file a claim and it could be two weeks before I get that money back, but what gets me they took the money I had left.     I called because I wasn’t able to see a purchase I made name on my account. All I wanted to make sure was that the money taken off was the correct website. Spoke to an employee and manager who states they restricted my card for unauthorized purchase which wasn’t true, I just wanted the name because on my phone it didn’t show up. Like I stated to both the manager and employee that was all I wanted they still insisted on forcing me to get a new when wasn’t needed because I made purchases that day- just wanted my question answered because I had money on my card still. And I was forced to spend money I didn’t want to spend. I had important things going to this account and I choose to change them now, because Employees and managers who can’t comprehend simple request.     My AccountNow card was sent to my old address so I called them to give them my new address. They put a restriction on my account and wanted me to send a copy of my ID and signed social and a utility bill in my name. I did that and was told within 72 hrs my restriction would be removed. 72 hrs was up two days ago and I've since contacted and they said a manager will call me within 72 hrs of the 72 hrs being up. It's been 48 hrs already and nothing. I asked them what I can do if I don't get a call from a manager tomorrow and they said nothing. I have to wait for a manager from the risk center to call me. Might I add I have $7460.00 sitting on my account they won't let me touch. Anyone have any ideas? I'm losing my house and I have two babies and one on the way. I really need my funds released.

    I made a withdrawal at an ATM, and the ATM did not dispense any money at all because it was out of funds. Then I called AccountNow and got the dispute department. Normally the money should go directly back on my card, but when I talk to the dispute department with AccountNow they told me I had to wait 2 weeks to get my money back. To me that is just unheard of.

    A restriction was put on my card for me getting cash back from my money on the card. Even with the restriction Account Now allowed my state refund to be put on the card, they told me I have to send in photo ID, SSC, and check stub with my current address on it. I sent in everything they asked me to and they still giving me problems. Now they are saying I have to send in more things. This isn't right, I wouldn't recommend anyone to go with account now prepaid card. I'm working with my attorney now for a lawsuit, because I still have my papers from which I first received the card and it's nothing stating that I can't receive cash back from my card.

    It's been a month and still nothing is done about this matter and I explained to them over and over again that I'm currently in a domestic violence situation and I need my money, still they have not a care. Account now is a scam card. I just want my money and I am canceling my card. It's messed up cause I've been with them since 2011... I thought they were good but I see they're not.     I just received my gold visa card from AccountNow a few days ago. I had my tax refund deposited on my card. I was able to use it once at an atm where I took off 200$ and when I went to use it later that day, it said it was restricted. The website was not found. I called a rep and they told me to send in my ss card, photo ID, and a bill. I didn't feel comfortable doing so because when I called they couldn't give me a clear answer as to why my account was restricted out of nowhere, it's been over a week and I have yet to see a cent of my money. I will NEVER do business with this company again and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do so either.

    On March 15, 2015, this AccountNow prepaid credit card called AccountNow... They hold people's money (which is stealing!!!), and don't allow them to use their own credit they already paid for! This credit card company needs to be shut down!!! I have used other prepaid credit cards before and I have never experienced this.     On Feb. 3 tried withdraw money from ATM and was unable. When looking online I could see my direct deposit but it was not posted. When I called they told me my account was under review and the risk dept. said that it appears that my ss benefits where coming from out of the country. Now how stupid is that statement. I just could not believe what I just heard. I did tell the person in the risk dept that I have been living in Philippines now for one year without any problems in using my card. She then told me that AccountNow does not allow anyone living outside the country to have an account and that this account will have to be closed. Okay. Now it has been over 35 days, still no money.

    AccountNow wants me to provide a letter of indemnification from social security which I went to the US embassy social security and got a confidential letter. I went and faxed to AccountNow back copy of my passport, drivers license which is still good, my social security card and the letter I got from social security. I am having to wait 72 hours before I can find out anything else. I have since open an account here locally it is called dollar account. My bank is PNB. I also called Bancorp to see if they could help me. Turns out they can't but was able to give my concerns regarding AccountNow to the dept that handles AccountNow’s account.

    I have been with AccountNow for a little over 5 years without any problems until Feb. This has caused me a tremendous hardship and has cost me close to 200 dollars with all the phone calls and international faxing. I have had to borrow money at a 20% interest rate just to be able to pay the rent, buy food, pay the utility bills and care for my wife and two children. At this point I be better off in HELL than having to deal with AccountNow. They are beyond evil. They are worse than the devil itself.

    If there is anyone out there that is trying to start a class action lawsuit against account now please let me know. I would be more than happy to be part of that. I would also suggest to everyone to call Bancorp and tell them you wasn't to file a complaint against AccountNow. I would also write a letter to Bancorp about AccountNow. I sincerely feel for all of you who are having severe issues with AccountNow and I hope all the issues can be resolved. And if we can help each other just maybe this organization will pay for their abusiveness to all of us.

    I'm writing this review more as a cautionary tale. People, pay your bills and splurge on a REAL, AMERICAN bank. Here's why. I lost my debit card with AccountNow. I called and reported it missing and requested a replacement. No problem, except the teller made an error in the address. I have a friend who works in the USPS and they send it back for the tiniest mistake to minimize liability. So I call back about a week later to fix the address. The idiot representative blocks the entire account so I can't even pay my bills or forward money to a friend to get it out.

    I ask them to remove the block, as I never mentioned my account being in any danger. They say "we can't". I say how'd you put it on? So the reverse of that. They said "we can't". So in addition to the already seven days I waited for my card to not come because of an error on their part, I have to wait another "7-10 business days". By then, I will have a new check, but, no one to borrow from and both my education and career left hanging in the balance because "they can't" undo their stupidity.

    AccountNow needs American representatives who follow American banking procedures because my management doesn't pay me in rupees. The service otherwise is still VERY unprofessional, as they were attitudinal and huffy over the phone. They seemed bothered by my calling to handle typical banking procedures. They also sounded as if they were reading from a prompt. I'm dying to close my account, and I pray BofA takes me back.

    Had my taxes dd on to my AccountNow prepaid gold visa card. Did taxes on 19th, accepted on the 21st, said I should have money sent by 26th. Well I first read all these horrible reviews and I'm not gonna lie... I freaked out. Omg, all these people, I'm not gonna get my money, what will I do!??! Well I know it's only the 27th, but I had zero issues at all! It took off ten dollars for a fee, but getting a few thousand dollars, honestly why would I complain about losing ten bucks? I mean, the people at the card company have to make money too (They have lives too).

    My money was on my card by 5 am (CST) and was able to use my card with maybe 4 fees the entire time due to the company, the rest were ATM fees, or 2 withdrawal fees from Advance Financial. So out of a little over 3K, I lost maybe 20$ to fees from the card itself. I was able to withdraw $300 from ATM yesterday and today and the fee from them was only like 2, and withdraw $1000 at Advance Financial and the only fee for that was from Advance Financial. AccountNow does not charge for over-the-counter withdrawal with the gold card. No money came up missing and I was able to track everything with SMS updates all day. Balance and transaction inquiries for free.

    I would DEF tell people to at least try out the card. It was worth it, and honestly I intend on keeping it for other things I may need, like for my cleaning business income. And btw, customer service was awesome. They let me know notifications on dd for refund. Regardless of where they were or if they just happened to be reading off their computer screen, they were great.

    I have been dealing with account now for almost 2 years and I've never ever had any good come out of it. I've had to give my money to people who I did not authorize but this is the last of all when I miss you my taxes. I had my taxes set up direct deposit to my account now Visa Gold Card and I had to wait over 2 weeks for me to get my money. When they said that I could get my money up to two days faster which is false advertisement and then they said I could provide my tax refund for up with up to $15,000 which is also a false advertising because there's no such thing. They have no way and then not only in debt and I don't get my tax refund two days early but the david it post.

    I cannot find my card the night before so I had a hold on my account so no one could spend my money. I called the next day and ask them to transfer my son to a backup prepaid gold card which they said prior to receiving my money it would be no problem. Well today they can't do but $500 on that card is only 500 a day OK and then it's going to take 24 hours for me to get that 500 on my card. There is no way that these people can really freaking have me believe that they can't transfer the money from a card.

    I don't have to a party that I do have and instead of getting $3600 what's in my account I can only get 500 dollars a day if I want to wait until tomorrow! possession of and deny you the right to your money when you have another card in the exact same location same bank that they can transfer all of my friends too. I believe that they're playing with my money and I believe that I've been treated unfair with my money and I want to speak to a lawyer. I would not recommend accountnow gold any other type of accountnow card any American citizen. They can't even speak English

    I went and added money on my card so that I can rent 2 movies. Well long story short, it was declined. So I called them and the guy told me I was charged $10.00. I told him that just 3 days ago I was charged for that and that he can't charge me twice. He said sorry and that there is nothing he could do about it.     I had AccountNow for years and twice I had to wait for my money to be posted. But now this year alone it is only February and it happened twice already at a very important time!!!! My paycheck was posted the 13th, Friday, and it is now Monday, the 17th and still no money. I called them 3x already as to why. The first rep said it will post overnight...     Okay I have ordered this card offline and had my tax refund deposited into this card account. I waited a week for my card only to find out they sent my card to the wrong address. When calling them about my card they locked my card right away and restricted me from getting my funds out of this account. They requested I send files. I sent all the files which took them 4 days just to review, on the fourth day I called and they tell me 1 of my documents was rejected so I submitted a different document today, and they tell me my restriction will be resolve within 5 days.     Hi everyone. First let say sorry for what happened to you or is happening to you. After reading all of those wrongdoing on the part of account now I wanted to share with you this simple solution to getting your money back. Back in 2008 I had the same Issue as most of you did, I received my paycheck through Direct deposits and loaded on account now. Soon after my account with them was lock and they needed me to fax them all my legal information. After numerous phone call with those ** one of them told me by accident I'm sure that if cancels the account the money would be mail to the account's holder address which they did. I think it took 7 to 10 business days but they did issue me this weird-looking check with the remaining balance on the card. That was the only way I was able to get my money and say goodbye to those crooks. Anyway hope this help. Good luck.

    Got card for refund once came in mail last name was wrong. 2/7 same day wmr gave me ddd. 2/11 I called them about the error THEY made told me to fax ID ssc Bill & pay stub. I faxed that & birth certificate along with several pieces of mail. Called to check, they said they never received so I re-sent today. Same thing, I asked CSR since my name didn't match what irs sent, wouldn't it get rejected and sent back? I was told no because my ssn was the same so I asked to speak to supervisor.

    After holding for him 57 mins, was told the same thing but they have a site. I can take pic of documents and send to them which I did. I waited an hour, called back and was told they received documents and my refund will be available 2/11 at midnight, so I asked him, “how is that possible with a card with the wrong name?” He said I can use that card until a new one comes. I think he was just trying to get me off the phone so now it's in God’s hands, but I do need my refund for bills and to take care of my child. It's crazy because they made an error I’m getting penalized. The irs say they can't do anything unless they reject it but they say they won't because it's connected to my ssn. I don't know what else to do

    I have a AccountNow prepaid card that my direct deposit money go in. AccountNow will not release my funds. I have done all that they ask me to do that is proof of ID's social security number and address. I was told back in December that my update AccountNow card will have my direct deposit on the new update AccountNow card. A new month and the same story.     I had my tax refund deposit into AccountNow bank. When trying to withdraw over $1000 out of the account the card was declined. I called customers services and ask why was the card decline. She said because of the daily limit. I ask for a transfer to another bank and she said they don't do bank to bank transfer, only AccountNow to AccountNow. That sucks. After I get all my funds out this account definitely will be getting closed.

    I loaded 560 on my new prepaid AccountNow card on January 23rd of this year. They required that I fax them verification of my original document load receipt and my photo ID... Faxed this in on the 23rd. The first agent told me that they would review and lift the restriction the same day, but never got it they said... I've called about this at least 7 times. Finally the last agent went thru all notes and called the other department. So this last agent gives me the website to upload the documents... and wait another 24 hours for them to review the documents - this after being without any money to pay my bills or buy food the whole weekend. I'm really worried I'm not gonna get my money back at all... If that happens I lose everything I have strived so hard to work for.

    On Dec 1, 2014 I purchased $20.00 MoneyGram Visa card for autistic 18-year-old son's allowance, for internet purchase. I did not want him to use our Bank card for fear he would be swindled. By the time we got home they had removed $4.95 cents from card for start up fee, then 10 days later without our knowledge took $4.95 for monthly service fee. They in less than 3 weeks time frame from moments after purchase till card had zero balance took half of what was initially put on card to begin with. I have used many prepaid cards since they started coming out, and still do, ones for major bills, cable, water, wifi, etc., to ones for Amazon, eBay and online purchases, and rainy day safekeeping. Our Bank is only in California and with minor children and the cost of ATM fees this is easier than having my financial information out there.

    This card is the only one I've dealt with to steal money immediately from card, and say it's in the fine print. I can only speak for myself but when I purchased it I did not get the opportunity to open it up and read the document in the sealed package. Nor were there signs notifying us customers that there were instant fees unlike other cards on top of the normal charge attached to purchase. Green Dot $3.95 to $4.95 at purchase for fee to add to new card and uploads then state taxes, this fee is clear at purchase unlike MoneyGrams, I paid in total 20.00 plus 3.95 loading fee then $4.95 cents fee removed before I even called it in to activate, then $4.95 fee before month was out, totaling way more than any percentage I could imagine legal to be charged on my own money.     I had several hundred dollars come up missing from my account. I spent four days from 8 AM-10 PM on the phone trying to reach the dispute department with no success. When I did finally reach them, the customer service agent seemed very unprofessional and unorganized to handle the situation. I filed the dispute and sent my written documentation with my signature. They issued a new debit card and asked me if I would like it sent via USPS 3 Day for a $25.00 fee. I explained to the agent that I did not have $25.00 because my money had all been stolen. The agent told me since I had gone through so much trouble, the fee would be waived and the card would arrive the following Monday.

    The card arrived, USPS did not deliver it, FedEx did. When I logged onto my account to activate my new card guess what I saw? I was charged $25.00 for the expedited delivery after I was told it would be waived. I contacted them about this, they refused to do anything but open another dispute. An emergency situation arrived (and of course every penny of my money is gone because what wasn't stolen by another party, AccountNow stole the rest). I contacted AccountNow and they will not even offer a provisional credit of $75.00 for over $800.00 of missing money to get my mother to her chemotherapy appointment and purchase her medications that she has to take before her chemotherapy. I did not even get to purchase my medication this month because of this.

    This is how unprofessional, inconsiderate and unrealistic this company is. They have no feelings or compassion. DO NOT TRUST ACCOUNTNOW, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND THEY DO NOT CARE IF YOU LIVE OR DIE BECAUSE THEIR MONEY WAS NOT TAKEN OUT OF THEIR ACCOUNT.

    When you contact customer service they provide no actual service, they read from a computer screen and have no actual helpful info. Everything they say is untrue and you cannot accomplish any goal. This is a scam with none in charge and it is appalling visa allows their logo on this card. Do not use this card. One problem after another with no solution when calling customer service. Any other prepaid card is recommended.

    To begin with, the card was provided to me by my car salesman. It was suppose to help me establish credit. Once I received I noticed it was just a damn prepaid card. Good thing is that I needed it since I was having so much trouble with my bank and getting my pay two days faster as promised. I switched to the account now. The first DD I did not receive my money two days sooner but one day later than I did in the past. Going forward, it comes two days prior to pay date which is awesome.

    My problem is disputes. I have tried for three days now to get to some back that was taken off my card in error. $125.00. I have literally been on hold 30 minutes. Really terrible. The automated system gives you a time frame and it is always 10 longer than what they state. Not only are they causing me to be late on my car payment but putting me in a hard spot. Whenever my payment is due again before they credit my account it will be doubled the amount (422 at one time) on top of all other bills. They do not understand we are also working people and keeping them on hold 30 mins plus is not acceptable.

    PLEASE do NOT bank with AccountNow. Every week there is a different issue. When I first got my card they told me that I would get paid up to two days early. They also said that they do not hold money. Once it is received it will be released. That was a bold face lie. They have been holding my direct deposit now all day and they put the problem on my job. What they don't know is that my husband is in banking industry and if they have a pending deposit they have my money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ACCOUNTNOW to ANYONE!! They tell you anything to get you off the phone. The rep that I spoke with was not knowledgeable at all. I literally had to guide him. All I'm going to say is that they have lost another account holder.

    I applied for an account now prepaid card so I can have some type of an account card to keep me from keeping cash on me. I loaded my prepaid card with $1400 and soon after my card was blocked for no reason. I contacted the risk department and I was asked to fax over some personal documents and I will receive a call in about 24-48 hours. Well to make a long story short I never got a call back, card still blocked, and the csr is giving me the run arounds. I was told by one representative after 90 days the money is donated to different charities. I just wonder what's really going on behind the scene. It's been 6 months now and I wonder after reading so many complaints about this company there must be illegal issues going on with them.

    I gave them my information and because the lady can't speak good English she said I answered wrong. But I didn't understand her at all. Then fab shoe took money off my card then I had them to put it back. Went to take it off and my card is restricted. So I send them my social security card and driver's license plus a piece of mail and they still won't release my money. It's my money, they didn't give it to me and now after wait a hour or so to talk to a manager, she was rude and told me to go to the post office and have them give me a letter stating that I get my mail. It's been two week and now it will take another two weeks. I will not rest until this company go under. They hold people money and do help out the people at all. Manager is bad as the employee. All I ask for is my money and I will never deal with this company again. I hopefully you as people don't deal with them.

    This is scary! I have over $3600 in this bank, and after reading all the disgruntled reviews, I am very worried. This has been going since may and seems there are a lot of repeat issues and no one at account now is reading any of them. My issue started in May 2014. Upon not receiving my card I was told I listed a post office box. The novice of bank customers know to list a physical address. The rep argued me down that I had one so as others were told I had to prove to them I was not a terrorist and needed to send them a copy of a utilities bill again as others. I don't have any. My sig other graciously pays them, wild goose chase to my local post office to have them give me a letter stating that I do receive mail at my address.

    In between all the calls, I am moving to a different location address. In speaking with postmaster she had no clue of such a letter. I have account now on the phone while she tells me so I'm feeling stupid and should have known better. We have darn near 1/2 million people in our county. At this point I too believe they are going to tell me to do one more wild goose chase to get me off the phone. I am livid! Now I call and they no longer are giving me my balance from the recording, this is the readers digest of what has transpired since May. The call center in the Philippines is just useless for customers. They so graciously offered to send my money back to where it came from. Really, who is that satisfying? Most definitely not me. More delay time to keep my money??

    Christmas is around the corner, I would really like to have a nice one and it's now or never. So here I wait until 12/15 to see if the powers that be are going to release the hold and send me "my" money. Fax this, upload that, stand on your head and count to a million. How in the damn heck is this bank still in business. When I do get my money and I will, I'm cashing out and telling everyone with an ear to hear me. Account Now is not the business for me. And I will direct them to this site. I give credit where it is due and it is not HERE!! I pray that all who are having issues with this bank to get it resolved successfully and enjoy the rest of the holidays.

    This card and company are the worst in all of the prepaid industry and I for one urge anyone looking for an account NOT to even consider using account now bc they are horrible! And apparently they are thieves bc they have been holding 3,400.00 (a refund to me for an overpayment...) hostage on my account/card for seven days, with no explanation as to why there is a hold. First of all, NOBODY speaks English very well here, and apparently they aren't governed by the same rules when it comes to dealing with customers bc these folks will leave you on hold for over 45 minutes, and will come back to the phone with darn lie!

    Second, they are extremely rude. If you ask them a question, they will over talk you and say to you (literally) what they are saying is more important than what you have to say, and yes, they will hang up on you. Third, they will lock your account and money on the card and will not give you any information! I have called the 1-877-553-3248 so many times that I believe they have stored my number and are screening my calls! Do not use these folks, that is unless you are totally okay with people wrongfully policing your account and holding your money for reasons they absolutely will not explain!

    I have only had my card one week. I was not aware that if you swipe your card at the gas pump that they will put a hold on your account for so many days! Being that, my whole entire check is direct deposit to this card and the fact that I like to fill my car up with gas weekly is really a big issue. And not only that, but I have to wait until the hold is removed to get MY money! I can't get any of my Christmas shopping done because it could take up to 2 days, if not longer for the hold to be remove.

I went to the place where my card was used, they said account now never contact them. I ask to speak head people at account, never got to speak to no one.

    I held the card received as a gift. When I went to activate it I was told there was NO BALANCE!! Fees were deducted monthly without my knowledge or disclosure on packaging. I never opened the card until I was ready to use. They say there is nothing they can do!!!

    I don't know where to begin honestly. First I ordered a card with these guys and it never came in the mail. I verified my address a few times! I went through three different people trying to get the money back that I loaded into the account, just wasn't about to go down like that. I have done business with this company before and it was quite pleasant. This situation has caused so much additional stress. If you're military, I just wouldn't deal with this company because they just don't understand the nature of our job. The customer Reps where professional I do agree, they just don't have enough power to tackle tough situations. I did get help though! They came through! But I thought I would share.

    I am sick of this bank. They make statements that they don't backup. I am really pissed today because I woke up this morning, my regular pay day, and I haven't gotten paid yet. I don't even see my pending deposit and my job processed all this information Monday. Everyone I work with got paid yesterday and that's because they are with a real bank. I have worked seven days for my pay and now I have to wait until they are good and ready to release my pay check today and that's up until midnight. I can't get gas for my vehicle or anything to eat and I have to be back at work today. I have bills that are due today and this stupid bank is going to make me late on that. This is something to report to the better business bureau in their area, all over the country if it's possible.

    Why couldn't they have done what the other normal banks did. They left their customers hanging, waiting, and hoping. I won't be keeping my account with them, this is the last time they burn me and I advise all DO NOT GET A CARD HERE! They have a high monthly fee and there are plenty of prepaid cards out here that will get your money to you on time, no matter the holiday and have a low monthly fee. I bet they would have been on time with taking my monthly fee. No they wouldn't have been late on that. Do you know how it feels to be the only one that hasn't gotten paid yet? Are they serious! They should refund this month's fee for this crap they have pulled today.

    I was given a "$25 gift" card and after 1 month the balance was -4.95. I since learned that this was advertised as a gift card but once purchased whether activated or not there is a $9.95 maintainence fee every month starting 3 days after purchase. The card was purchased in Aug 2014 and first tried to use it in Oct 2014. I called and they offered a 1 month refund of $9.95. I feel the entire $25 should be refunded.

    My 7 year old daughter was given a $20 gift card for her birthday from AccountNow. We had trouble activating it, so I just gave her the money. When I went to activate the card this morning, all the money had been eaten up in fees! What a bunch of CROOKS! THE CARD HAD NOT EVEN BEEN ACTIVATED YET!!! I called (866) 949-3376 for customer service to talk to a supervisor - they were extremely aggressive with screening my call - guessing they get a lot of angry calls?     My Ex husband sent me a ACH transfer from his bank to my account on Account now, it take's up to 3 to 5 days for a deposit. He sent it on the 1st of October and it's now the 13th of October. I called Customer service and they told me there is no record of him sending me money. He emailed a photo of his bank statement showing that the money was taken out. So where is my money?? all $1.024.00 of it!! The account number and info was correct when he sent it. The bank has no idea where it is... they put a trace on it??? from what I was told.

    To start off with I thought I had found a great company to do business with. Signed up, got my card fairly quickly in the mail. I had already been paid through direct deposit before I had received my card and the money was waiting for me when I got my card and activated it. Then I get paid the next following Friday and my direct deposit is sent at 3:34 am in the morning along with my online pay stub to my email. I start by realizing maybe it will take a bit to go in but by 4:00 pm I'm wondering what's going on. I keep checking to see if I have a direct deposit pending and to no avail do I have one all day. I start by calling and going through the automated system and like it said online, I don't have a pending deposit. So I call a customer service rep who I barely understand to get told that my employer probably hasn't sent it yet. So I get with my company and ask and they inform me that as soon as I receive the email that the deposit has been made.

    After I call back again to ask what's going on I get told that my employer must be mistaken and that they need to recheck if it was sent. At this point my blood is boiling because I'm broke with no gas and no food for the weekend and was planning on using my paycheck to pay to move into my new apartment on Saturday. It's Monday morning and still no pending deposit. I'm going Tuesday to get a bank account with a real bank who has American people behind desks. I hate this company with a passion and I hope someone shuts them down for downright rude reps and all the bull that comes with it.

    So I got my prepaid debit card with AccountNow after I got my tax refund through Turbo Tax. Once I received the card, I activated it and everything seemed as if it was all well. I was going to use the card as a back up card for extra money in case anything happened with my main bank. I just got a new job and I set my direct deposit up with my AccountNow account. I got paid on 10/03/2014, but no money was in my account. I contacted my job and asked if they knew why my money wasn't in there. They did their part and it all fell back on the AccountNow company. I called the AccountNow company on 10/06/2014 to see what was going on and they told me that they NEVER GOT A NOTIFICATION ABOUT A PENDING DEPOSIT. But my pay stub showed that the money was deposited into my account. I will NEVER use them again. I really needed my money and to get robbed of it was wrong.

    What a nightmare!!! I am furious! I start selling on Amazon, I use Account Now as my bank, though I would have been better off giving my money to hold to some drug addicts in bad neighborhoods because these crooks will not release my money. I worked for them so they can collect $10 a month, dwindle my funds away - well guess what, Small Claims Court here I come! They lie on the phone, they barely speak English - last time I checked this was the USA, not India!!! They have no problem taking my money but to release my money, I have to send them every personal document I own. And then once I do that, still not good enough, they straight out again lie to me, have a snotty attitude and won't release my own money. I HATE THIS COMPANY. My paycheck is direct deposited and they managed to block it as soon as my paycheck was deposited - no notice or warning.     I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS CARD. I REALLY FEEL LIKE I WOULD'VE BEEN BETTER OFF WITH A BANK ACCOUNT! At least with a bank I can go to my bank and get MY money with no charge. These prepaid cards are a jip! $9.99 for a monthly maintenance fee. They charge you to swipe your card. They charge you to check your balance. Worst of all you have to pay just to reload the cards.     I contacted this company when I couldn't figure out for a week where a direct deposit I was expecting had gone. Of course Account Now's automated system picked up first and after I provided all the info it asked me for it went ahead and provided my account balance which was for the exact amount of money I happened to be waiting for. My next step was to talk to a rep who could issue me a new card. Well I got on the phone with a rep who of course apologized and told me she could assist but this same rep in this same conversation after I explained what happened actually tried to tell me that there was no funds in my account (even after the automated system had just told me there was).

    So I asked to speak to a manager who at this point I demanded to send me a new card or just return the money back to where it came from. This "manager" hung up on me and when I called back I found that I could no longer access the system to get a live rep on the phone. So now I can reach no one at Account Now and they have and are holding my unemployment compensation hostage.

    I have been with Account Now for 5 years. I have never had a problem with my direct deposit from my employer or IRS. I am always able to get through to a customer service rep. with a problem. I learned you have to listen all the options in order to get a rep. The Rep. are always solve my problem and when I ordered a replacement card I receive it in less than 7 days. I am honestly getting nervous reading these comments. I could not afford for my account to be frozen or my account to be put on hold. I am going to count my blessing and pray I never experience any of these issues. I live from paycheck to paycheck so obviously these comments are disturbing.

    I receive my Social Security check on my card because I am disabled. They closed my card today without my permission and without my knowledge. I'm currently home once I was waiting for my check next Wednesday to get a place to live. Now I'm going to have to wait until August after calling Social Security to get a place to live. They stole 200 dollars from me. I disputed the $200 so they close the account instead. I will have no money until next month. They do not speak English. They do not call back when they said they're calling back. They are the poorest company with the poorest customer service I have ever encountered in my entire life.     I am just beyond upset with this horrible company. I was assisted by a very poorly English speaking woman whom I could not understand. She asked security questions that I did not comprehend and then when I asked for further assistance, she said I could not be processed because I answered the questions wrong!!!! Can't believe it. I answered my own questions wrong.... So my account still is not processed and I have to take extra steps in hiring an attorney so that I can have MY OWN MONEY BACK.... WOW.     I have two card accounts that were locked. The total was for over $3500. I never even knew they were going to lock the cards. They did so without warning or notification. I filed a complaint with the BBB and my state Attorney General. I was contacted by Bancorp that my accounts would be closed because of the type of deposits I received and I would receive a check. Hopefully that is true so I can move on. If not then I will have to proceed with prosecution because that is clearly theft.

    I am seeking the remaining balance for my card that was closed. If anyone could help me or offer me advice please do. AccountNow closed my card and will not return my money to me. AccountNow a/k/a READYdebit suspended my account without notice or reason, requiring me to send in a copy of my driver's license, signed social security card and a utility bill. *Prepaid Gold Visa Card ending in ** - current balance $933.38.

    I sent all of these documents and AccountNow, Inc accepted them and told me that I would get a call back within 24-48 hours. I waited for 48 hours and no one called me back. I decided to call into AccountNow customer service department and they told me that the review hasn't been completed and again told me I would get a call back within 24-48 hours. I told the AccountNow CSR that I had no money because AccountNow restricted my card and asked her if I should starve myself to death because I had no money to buy food. She told me, "It's your choice if you want to starve yourself because there's nothing I can do to help you."

    After 72 hours, I call back & spoke to a Risk Department Manager. Told me that AccountNow received my documents but I didn't include a utility bill. I told him that ALL utilities are included in the rent and I included a bill from Vonage (Home Phone Service). He told me that AccountNow contacted Vonage and Vonage said that the phone number listed on the bill isn't valid. THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE. AccountNow NEVER contacted Vonage. Then the Risk Department Manager wanted to know how I'm funding my account. I told him mainly PayPal Transfers. He asked how I got that money INTO MY PAYPAL account. I explained that I sell E-books and Language Learning Guides mostly. He wanted invoices for the items I'm selling. CUSTOMERS EXPECT COMPANIES TO KEEP THEIR PRIVATE INFORMATION SECURE. AND YOU EXPECT ME TO PROVIDE YOU THE NAMES OF THE CUSTOMERS THAT PURCHASED GOODS FROM ME? AREN'T THERE PRIVACY LAWS AGAINST THIS?

    At that point, the Risk Department Manager told me that my account was permanently closed. He told me that the balance of $933 would need to be re-called by PayPal. (So... You hope that I don't contact PayPal and you will KEEP MY MONEY?) AccounNow advertises being a Safer solution and "With an AccountNow prepaid account, you have access to your money at all times." But AccountNow allowed me to use my card and waited until I had a large balance on my card and closed it. They won't give me my money back and I don't know what to do.

    Today I bought a new card, which stated in bold letter send money online, pay bills. Came home, activated it. Tried to pay a bill, DECLINE, DECLINE, DECLINE. Called up and was told that vendor was trying to process as a debit - it had to be used as a credit. Went to another site. Which they only process as credit. DECLINE, DECLINE, DECLINE. Called again. This time we're told it can only be used in-store for credit purchases only. There is nothing like having money in their bank and not able to use it.

    I have been a customer of AccountNow for 12 years. I have my social security disability check direct deposited into my account. On Feb 27th my check was direct deposited. I went to the atm and it told me I was unauthorized user. I tried again, same thing. I called the bank and was told that I needed to send my soc sec card a utility bill and an id. I told the bank last month my purse was stolen, I had filed a police report and had evidence of this. That all I could send them was soc sec card, utility bill, soc sec statement, medical and medicare card and birth certificate. I was told that those documents should be fine. Then I was asked if I had anything with my picture on it. I told them an old NV drivers license, I sent that. It is now the 23rd of March and nothing. My deposit is just sitting in the account. I asked them if I wasn't who I say I am then how in the hell did accept a check in my name cash it and take their monthly fee from it. For 12 years.

    They asked me to tell soc sec to send a letter of indemnification to them so after 3 days they could approve or deny the letter then mail the money back to soc sec. I am on 3 day notice now with landlord, about to be on the streets with three children one of which has a heart condition. I had to borrow money to get his meds. How legally can they do this. Social security doesn't know what the hell a letter of indemnification is. So how do they send one. I asked why I could not close the account. They told me because they don't know I am me. Social security reps say that my check going into the account is proof that I am who I say I am, the Treasury Dept checks out all that before depositing. Any suggestions anyone. Half a day I am homeless and lose all I have in the house.

    I set up my bank account to be able to transfer money to an AccountNow card. My bank processed it just fine but it never showed up at AccountNow. There is NO email contacts for AccountNow and apparently no live people to speak to. I get 10 minutes of autobot runaround and then the autobot says, "Thank you for calling AccountNow. Goodbye." I wouldn't suggest anyone use them.

    I know of 8 different people plus myself who used Account Now for their tax refund because of the early delivery of the funds. Account Now accepted our tax returns and after about 4 days they suddenly blocked the cards. One person was in the middle of shopping when her card got blocked. They could not give an explanation as to why it was blocked only that documents were needed to confirm identity. We have sent these people our whole life documents and still no release of the funds. After they got our documents they proceeded to say they closed the account and sent the money back to the IRS and it would take 6 weeks for the IRS to get it. Mind you the IRS stated that Account Now was the 3rd recipient and they originally sent the money to University Bank. Account Now refuses to provide me with any more information. Even though they have my full identity and all of my money along with others.

    I did My Taxes... The IRS Gave me my Return and deposited my money on my Account Now card ....I used my card for a week. On Friday the 14th I went to use my Card To Buy A Car And Could Not Use it. I then called my card, it said I could not use it, then told me my balance ... I was told to fax over my identity documents and it would be reviewed that day so I did just that .... so I called back at 6 and was told no change, call back Monday and they did not work weekends.

    Now how can you lock people's cards knowing you don't work weekends and Monday was a holiday ...... I called back Monday, they could not help me so they told me to call Tuesday and I did just that and when I did there was no change to my account. I was told to call back the next day at 4:00 pm, so I did just that and when I called, still no change and my 1771 was still on the card. I talked to the bank and was told to email my documents again, I did just that.

    Now it's Thursday 6:54 at night, I called the bank back and my card was still locked, my money was still on there .... I was on the phone for 40 minutes. I was put on hold while the man went to see if my documents were there, we got disconnected. So I tried to call back a half hour later and my card was still locked and my card has a 0 balance .... Now where is my money and there was no one to talk to.

    I am very unhappy with the service provided by the account now representatives. After having my tax refund money deposited to my account I wanted to purchase a car from a private seller, since I couldn't pay the seller with my card and the max I could withdraw from the atm was 500.00. I did a card to card transfer to my boyfriend card so he could pull the money from the atm as well, giving us the money we needed to purchase the car. We had to do this for 3 days in order to have the funds to buy the car.

    A few days later I went to buy groceries and found out my card was locked. I called the customer service dept, explained what happened and told them I made the card to card transfers and asked them to release the hold. I was sent to their risk dept and had to leave a message on their voicemail system. I called back and tried to speak with someone in the risk dept again and was told they were all at lunch! I called a third time and was told they couldn't transfer me because there was too high of a call volume due to tax season!

    I was never given any indication that my card was in danger of being locked, no one from the company ever called to question the activity on my card or confirm with me if the activity was by me, they just shut down my card. I still have not been given a time when I will receive a phone call back or when they will release my money to me. Extremely dissatisfied with the way this company handles situations like this!!! I will not use them again for any of my money transfer or bill payments again. Once this issue is resolved I will pull the rest of my money off and cut the card and trash it. Disappointed!!!

    My card (I had been a customer for years) was locked because I gave too many donations to the Philippines during the flood disaster. During that time, I also lost my brief case so was unable to send in the documents they insist on me faxing to them to prove that I am who I say I am. That is the ONLY option they allow. Apparently just sending me a new card to the address they still have on file of transferring the funds to the other card I have with them is out of the question. Customer service with these guys is a complete joke. Also they were more than willing to accept deposits going to my account after the fact but will not allow me to have access to my funds. WILL NEVER USE THESE GUYS AGAIN!

    I purchased eleven (11) Account Now Visa cards as Christmas gift cards for my grandchildren. I had each card loaded for $25.00 plus paid the $4.95 activation fee for each (which was clearly stipulated on the packaging). After mailing these cards to different states, my grandchildren tried to use them for the amount that I had loaded and were told that the card was only worth $15.05... Account Now had deducted $9.95 because they had not used it within 3 days of purchase... When my daughter spoke with a customer rep she was told "that information is in the terms and conditions and that should have been read before the purchase". Well, who is going to OPEN THE PACKAGING AND READ THOSE TERMS IN THE STORE? The terms and conditions are enclosed inside the sealed packaging. I am speaking with the store manager, presenting many complaints against Account Now and suggesting they pull all Account Now cards from the store and address this issue with the vendor for these cards... ACCOUNT NOW IS NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS!!! Hope they enjoy spending my grandchildren's Christmas money as well as the huge amounts they've ripped off many other consumers.

    I had my federal tax refund direct deposited at the end of January 2013 to my AccountNow prepaid Visa card. The IRS deposited it to my account, but I still hadn't received a replacement card from AccountNow, who had told me it had been sent 5 days before the direct deposit. THEY put the incorrect zip code on it, which normally doesn't keep my mail from getting to me, but for some reason I never received my card. In order to get another new card, I had to provide copies of my driver's license, mine and my dependent son's social security cards, IRS official transcripts of my tax return, and a recent piece of mail to my address with the postmark!

    I tried to contact Meta Bank, which is who the card is supposedly issued through, but soon found out AccountNow is based in INDIA! I have emailed them the information several times since February, but still have not received my money!!! They are holding almost $3000 of mine and collecting interest on it daily, and I can't seem to get one single person on the phone who speaks English very well. They even gave me the wrong email address for disputes and required my personal info again in order to give me the correct one! I re-sent everything again today, and am keeping my fingers crossed that I finally get my money!!!

    AccountNow blocks your money and shows "Your account has been restricted" message in the card's admin panel, EVEN when your balance is well positive and you do have money on your card. It's becoming a useless piece of plastic, and I don't have any idea where my money is and why I can't use them. Avoid AccountNow at any cost; it's better to choose anyone of plenty of other companies to serve you.

    I put some money on my AccountNow card that I have been using for years to pay an important bill that I needed to pay in order to keep my job. AccountNow stated that my birth date did not match my original birth date. I sent them the documents four days ago and have yet to get this situation resolved. Now I lost my job and I still don't have my monies from them. They are foreigners and have no compassion towards a person's pay, but they took my money and put it on the card. I tried calling them but to no avail did I receive any feedback. Four days and I sent them what they asked. My funds still are not being released as of yet. I don't want to ever have anything to do with them again. Now I am out of a job due to their negligence.

    AccountNow was a rip off. They asked people for their personal information. They froze my husband's account after his tax money was deposited to his card. Something has to be done about this company. I'm leaving to go to California where they are located. I'm going to the news station and put AccountNow on the news, for ripping people off. People have kids and bills. Then they will tell you that your money was sent back to the IRS which was a lie. The IRS has opened up an investigation on AccountNow so they were about to be in for a surprise. I hate AccountNow and all the fraudulent people who work with them. Their day is about to come and I hope they put all of them in jail. I warn everyone in my city never to use AccountNow.

    I had my tax refund direct deposited onto this card and they will not send me another card because they are saying that the card that I have was blocked, but I did not block the card. I cannot access my funds and have faxed them everything under the sun, and they still are saying that they need more. I am so pissed off that I don't even know what to do. I have three children to take care of and I worked very hard for my money. I wish somebody would just take these people out of the game because they are ripping everybody off with their scams.

    My daughter used her card at a gas station 5 days ago. I have talked with 4 customer service reps and it's the start of the blame train. Lie to people. They all said her money will be back on her card 2/27/13. So, I (her mom) checked it and no money, so I called them all day. They would answer and hang up then finally when I did talk with a rep (Kevin), he seemed so sincere. He even said, “This has happened to me.” My question to them was, how would you feel if this was your money, and he was like, “Ma'am I understand and I promise you it will be back on your card @1:00am.” Well, behold, he lied as well. This is so stressful and unfair. Who can you call? Who can you tell because somebody is getting rich off other people’s money? I would not recommend this card to no one! And I mean it. The word of God said, you (account now) may get by, but y’all won’t get away with it. God sees all you do. I’m a very upset mother in Georgia.
