    Account Now is the Worse! This is a trash scamming company. If DEPOSITS are being held due to a system issue then NOTIFY your consumers. I have things set on auto draft with no Deposit! Yet I can't reach a live person without waiting an hour plus. I will never use this Fake Card company again.

    I cannot get access to my direct deposit. This has been going on for over a day now. I have been with them since 2013 and for the most part had no issues. This is the last time I will be using them. This is too much of an inconvenience.

    Cannot access my direct deposit with Accountnow. This is going to make me homeless. Never had issues like this before. I may simply leave this company after 7 years of loyalty. At the very least Accountnow should have contacted me. My no. **.

    I have had an account with them for over 5 yrs. They froze my account for two months and I still haven't received my money over mistyped password. I've sent 3 IDs and still nothing. They are thieves and scam artists. Do not get this card. The worst customer service I ever dealt with.

    I'm so frustrated with this company. Recently, I've visited the Island View Casino in Biloxi MS. "My account now card" was charge once for two days. However, the money was suppose to be return back to my card within 7-10 business days. Those days went by and I've call the casino to speak with a manager. She was so nice and kind she actually call this card company herself to get the money refunded back to my card. They said "No We can't do that." So we fax a form to this **. Whatever that number is a freaking joke. I still haven't received money yet. Think twice before you click "Ok" to this card.

    I was charged $53.20 from Sunshine Mobile - 10 minutes after they called and asked if I still wished to pursues purchasing a phone from them. I told them no and asked them to remove my information from their database. Account now asked me to fax them the cancellation letter and gave me a bogus fax number that does not work at all! They initially showed the transaction as processed. Now it is showing on hold for the last 4 days. I have uploaded the documents to their database 12 times and still no one will assist me in getting my money back.

    These people are thieves and will transfer you around and around to Sarah, Rey, or Jason whom claim to be supervisors but they do not help you in any shape form or fashion. They will just transfer you back to the automated system. Then they pretend due to their being of foreign descent that they do not understand what you are asking them. All I want is my money back and will be contacting an attorney to sue them for theft.

    I’ve been waiting on my direct deposit to hit since Wed and it is now Friday. It’s still not there. I called AccountNow and they keep saying they never got a deposit from my employer. So at this point they are scammers and not depositing people money on the account! I’m expecting 1000 from my job and not received it yet. Mind you it comes EVERY other Wed but for some reason it’s not there now.

    I've been waiting since October 20, 2019 for a replacement card that I requested because of unwanted charges of Microsoft Xbox subscription. They keep giving me stuff about sending documentation to verify my account. I've been with them since 2014. Why am I being told to send proof when being with them that long? I haven't been able to pay bills or anything. I'm behind on bills badly. Should I sue them?

    I could not get in touch with a live person to speak to anytime I had a complaint or to change information on my card, and when I did couldn't understand anything they were saying. I called to change my address and they deactivated my card because they sent it to my old address. They told me they couldn't activate it until they get the cards returned and the new ones out. 7 to 10 days. I couldn't pay my bills. Everyone was going to be late. Company sucks!!!

    I got this card so I could do card to card transfers for my elderly in-laws who live in another town. AccountNow just randomly turned off the card to card transfer feature for security. I was told to go to Western Union. I keep calling and each time I have to speak to someone who I can barely understand from another country. Worst customer service ever... I will be closing out my card and I will try to find another company who thinks their customers matter.

    AccountNow is the worst prepaid card I ever had in my LIFE. LOOK AT THE REVIEWS. I'm not the only one trying to WARN consumers. The customer service SUCKS and the CARD always mysteriously gets BLOCKED. DO NOT USE THIS CARD.

    I had direct deposit to my account every week, My deposits were always late. Tried to get money for an ATM machine. Didn't get the money but they took it from my account. Gave the money back and took it a week later. Sent them a letter and they closed my account without sending me a notice or anything. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

    The problem I'm having is did not realize my card date was expired because I receive direct deposit so my point is the card is able to receive my money but not allow me access to my funds. This card is ** frfr. Then I spoke to someone they cannot transfer my money. Once again **. Then I asked to have my card expedited she asks me 3 questions of my personal business and gonna tell me I'm wrong. Once again **. Then she gonna tell me I cannot have my card expedited because the answers didn't match the questions. Once again **. The card is bogus and **. Don't waste your time. Now I have to wait 5-7 business days to receive a new card the same way the card is rejecting to give me my money because it's expired is the same way it should of rejected accepting my funds because it's expired. AccountNow is ** point blank....

    I've had this company for more than 5 years and never had a problem til now. Someone got a hold to my card and made unauthorized purchases with Amazon. The Amazon folks even said someone made up an account to use my card information. These people stated they did an investigation and determined nothing was done wrong. How the hell could they determine that bull. I even put the police department's case number where I filed a theft complaint. Then after I get the letter in the mail, it stated the case will be closed and I didn't get my money back. I will be closing this mess. I think it is one of them cause they are foreign. Do not continue to use them. They are scammers from what I see now and never know, they probably have been doing this for some time now.

    So I orders my card May 24th 2019. It was a replacement card because I lost my card, I only had like $116 left on the card. I’m 18 and I’m work minimum wage so I was excited about the direct deposit being 2 days faster, that was the whole reason I switched. Anywho I called and got it replaced, not even gonna go on about how hard it was to even speak to an actual person. When I finally got on the line they told me that they would replace it. They never mentioned a $10 replacement fee. So a few days passed I logged on and I seen that my balance was lower than it was when I ordered the new card. I called them and asked why my account was like that. They told me I was a charge to replace the card. I told them I wasn’t aware of any charges, no one ever told me that so they kindly reversed it.

    They told me it would take about 5-7 business day for the card to get here. My card never showed up on the 7th business day so I called again. They told me bc of the holiday the next day would be the 7th business day, so I waited. Now it’s Tuesday the 7th business. It was supposed to come, it never came so I call again. They said wait a couple more days, it should be here. Idk how long I waited but I waited a long time. Now I’m upset bc I have money I can’t access so I call again last week Friday May 14th. They told me me that my card was sent back. Idk why my card was sent back. I told them I never received it and don’t know why it was sent back. I said, "So now what will happen?" They said I can get express delivery, that will be 3 business day. Once again they never told me I would be charged $25 dollars.

    Once I got off the phone I tried to log into my account, now account it was restricted so I call back and ask why. They said because once I order a new card my account would be restricted. I said, "How was that because last time I got my card replaced they didn’t restrict anything." They couldn’t give me an answer well so at this point I just want my card so I’m like okay blah blah. Today I log into my account, it said a balance of $71 and some change. I’m trying figure out how my account was charged again if I never even received my first card so I call again. They said they charged my $10 to replace the card again and they charged me $25 for 3 day shipping. So I ask again why I was never told about the charges even before, they couldn’t give me an answer.

    I’ve been having issues with receiving my card for almost 2 months now and this is their fault not mine so why do I have to keep paying for these transactions if it’s not my fault. If I had $1000 in my account I wouldn’t really care but I literally only had $100 and something dollars. They don’t know if that was the last bit of money I had or not. Like I said I’m only 18 working for minimum wage so $10 and $25 is a lot to me. And for them to keep making me pay for a new card when it wasn’t my fault I never received my card in the first place is just crazy. Then the workers are like foreign and they was talking really low with an accent I could not understand which frustrated me even more.

    I know my review probably doesn’t even matter to them because it’s obvious they don’t care about their customers. I just felt like someone needs to hear this before they think about signing up. This is the most dysfunctional company ever. Their customer service is trash, their policies is trash and they do not care about anyone’s well being. The're are selfish and I read some of the other reviews where some people didn't even receive their tax refund they was supposed to have and that they are stealing people’s account information and money. So to those people in much more serious situations than this I hope that it is resolved and that you get all the money they owe you and never use their services again. And for people looking for prepaid services NO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!

    I’ve this card for 12 years, never had issues until now May 2019. I’ve been trying to change my address for 4 months. I faxed everything they ask for. I’ve emailed, I’ve tried to call cannot get a person on the phone. They are terrible. They weren’t always but sure are now. I’m stopping all direct deposits and using my local credit union. I’ve had with them. Why would any of us trust a company like this. Try Bluebird prepaid. They are supposed (according to reviews) to be a 5 star company. Accountnow is crumbling down. We all need to get of the accountnow titanic.

    It's been over a year now, they have blocked my account out, and refuse to release my money. I've given them all the proof needed for my identity. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but they must have them in their pocket. So I just filed a federal complaint against them. I'm about to become the worst pain in the ... I can. I'm not going away.! I can't stand the people on there customer service. Can't understand them. Company makes me sick. I already found a attorney to file a lawsuit against them. Everyday they hold my money it will cost them big. DON'T use this company.

    Updated on 05/24/2019: AccountNow debit cards are leaking customer information and stealing paychecks off their cards! My review is marked as “resolution in progress”. That is a lie! Consumer organization didn’t resolve anything. Only contacted me to tell me the same thing to write in to Pasadena, California! The whole corporation is a big fraud!

    Original review: 163.00$ was taken off my account one day while I was at work. ATM fraud. I put in a claim and they denied the claim even given proof that someone has hacked their cards. I’ve been with the company close to 10 yrs an was already not happy about all the hidden fees each month. They froze my account and sent me another card without my consent and then charged me a new card fee and a monthly fee for the card all before even contacting me about my dispute claim report. I beyond pissed that they are just allowed to continue to steal from hard working people and get away with it! Shut this company down! It is a SCAM!!

    I have used my AccountNow Debit Card for over 12 years. I didn't have issues until recently. My paycheck was deposited as usual, but when I try to check it online, my account was restricted. I called and they did allow me one withdraw. They also returned my car payment that morning after telling me the checking account number was fine, it was just the card.

    I was leaving to go out of town that day and I have a PayPal business mastercard I use. So, I figured they could just do the transfers. They did and they had started charging 2.50 per ACH, which was never charged before. I called and they first told me Paypal was charging the fee. Then spoke with someone else who said I agreed to the terms when I got the card, at that point, I still didn't have the card, because I was out of town for 3 weeks. I don't believe my card was compromised as they said, I think they just did that to issue the new card with more fees. I had always like the card before, but after 12 years, they shouldn't add more fees.

    I have had this card for over 10 years and on April 25 and 26 had 2 fraudulent card transfers each in the amount of $326. Called to dispute, was told that a check must be mailed to me with remaining funds and that account must be closed. Today I get a letter stating that my dispute was denied. WTF!? Letter states any questions don't hesitate to call... So I call and it informs me to submit request in writing. But yet it still shows the acct balance as the same. I was told the acct was closed. Can't get ahold of a live agent... Gonna try the lost/stolen option next.

    I have had account with AccountNow for 5 years and have never had a problem. On April 3, 2019 a card to card transfer in the amount of $241.00 was processed on my account that was not authorized by me. I contacted AccountNow. I was told that they were closing my account. The money was taken out fraudulently and all my information had been compromised. Including my address, phone number, and social security number. I was told to file a dispute and in 2 weeks a paper check would be mailed to me. Instead I received a letter stating that my claim had been denied. That the charges were not fraudulent and I reported the fraud in error. I already had a feeling that AccountNow was actually the ones who had committed the fraud and the letter I received confirmed that. AccountNow should be investigated and be forced to return the funds they are fraudulently removing from people's accounts.

    I’ve been using this company for about two years. On April 29th I reported a fraudulent charge on my account. The representative was sooo eager to put a hold on my account. Because I have direct deposit going into this account every week I asked her, "Will I be able access my funds?" She was quick to say, "Yes." Her exact words “Whenever you need funds give us a call and we will take a hold off the card temporarily." Direct deposit comes in. I call to get my funds. They tell me, "Oh that was a one time thing." Wtf... She never told me that.. So now they have to verify the account. They asked for my ID and a bill with my name on it. Told I had to wait 3 days for verification. Called and the paperwork wasn’t approved.. Spoke with another agent. She said send a pay stub. Sent a paystub. Another 3 days to be verified and not approved. Mind you all this time direct deposits are being put in the account from my employer.

    Another agent, "You can send any a copy of any government document" so I send my W2. Wait another 3 days. Not approved.. One agent is telling me one thing and another is saying something totally different. I speak to a Supervisor. She act like she has an attitude because I’m frustrated at this point because they're lying now. They're con artist and I’m going to sue for every cent that’s in my account. I sent these people all of my information with my address for them to tell me I have to wait three business days and it not get approved. You can’t hold people money your frauds.. April 1 until this April 19 I been dealing with lies and attitudes. I just want my money..I have kids that go to daycare, bills that need to be paid. I have a job that I have to go to. I couldn’t even pay my rent and still haven’t paid it because of this BS. Never use this card. If you get one in the mail throw it away.

    I have been with this company for over 3 years. I have noticed small fund amounts coming out monthly but I thought it was a Maintenance Fee. After further review of the transactions I found out that I was being charged by a company of no knowledge to me. I contacted the company and they provided me with documents stating that the funds were not supposed to be deducted.

    I disputed this with AccountNow/BankCorp. This was over a month ago. I have called in weekly to check the status of my dispute and have been told several different things by different Agents. A few days ago they sent me an email requesting that I send a dispute form to a certain email address, even though I had already done this 2 times before. I sent it AGAIN. Called today to check the status and was asked to send another Dispute Form. The Agent told me that they have not received the previous ones. But told me an amount had gotten approved. So tell me how you can give me a specific amount but you are also saying you did not receive the dispute form??? I asked to be transferred to another Agent and the representative hung up on me! SCAM!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    So I have had AccountNow for 2 years now and never had problems before. Well I seen that they switched to Green Dot for new people who wanted to sign up but the people who were AccountNow still stayed the same. So yesterday my direct deposit took forever to hit my card. When it did I went to a few stores. Last store I went to declined my card. Which I knew I had money. So I use my other card and then go look on my online account. Says 0 dollars and not showing recent transactions when I called it says freeman 2027 California.

    So I call customer service she says it was a card to card transfer and tells me did I give anyone my info. I was like no so she says we need to close my account the card and I need to do a dispute form and could take 2 weeks. I would get a check if approved and also that if wanted a new card I sign up with Green Dot. So then my online account is locked saying someone tried to attempt to get in my online account and are asking for my id, my social and all. They took my money and these other peoples money and that’s why switched companies. I want my money back and will be suing them. It’s not right and people work hard for they money.... I want my money back now. I can’t make my car payment. I'mma do everything I can do...

    This has got to be the craziest company. Either they work for you life or they devastate it. It's payday and AccountNow haven't released my check yet and AccountNow say it's the company I work for who is at fault, but, but, they do know exactly how much my deposit will be....They won't do anything extra and supervisor Cherrie 1cbm has zero aptitude in her role. This is frustrating to say the least.

    These people never got my $300 back from it not coming out the ATM. They won't help me and I can't do nothing about it. Worst prepaid card ever. I will be suing them to get my money back.     I have been using AccountNow for over 6 years and have never had a problem...until now. I make it a habit to check my account everyday and on March 6th, I checked my account and it stated that someone went into my account and did a card to card transfer in the amount of $300 without my authorization. I contacted the dispute department and they instantly froze my account which meant I couldn't touch the money that they did happen to leave. The representative informed me that that was for my protection and to go to their website and print off the form stating that I would like to open a dispute claim and fax it back to them and they will review my account and put the funds back in my account within ten days. The next day I look at my account and saw that the transaction details of the card to card transfer mysteriously disappeared from my transaction details.

    At this point I called customer service and she informed me that it was because there was an open dispute claim on that particular transaction, hmmm!!! After that, I was no longer able to look at anything regarding my account. On March 14th, I called to see what was going on and they informed me that my claim was denied because they didn't find any errors and that they were mailing me a letter stating that and that my account has been permanently closed and they were issuing me a paper check in two weeks for the remainder of the balance that was still in my account. All of this seemed fishy to me and yes, I was very irate with the representative in which at some point they had hung up the phone on me. Based off of everything that was said and done this past week I am convinced that this company stole from me and I am in the process of consulting with a lawyer to see what my options would be at this point.

    I have had this account for three years with direct deposit. $466.00 dollars debited on 2-27-19 from a merchant unknown to me. I told AccountNow that I have no knowledge of this merchant. I was asked to fill out a dispute form and send driver’s license and proof of change of address which I did. I called the merchant who had no knowledge of payment and did receive a payment from this account. Then I was told by a supervisor the payment was set up online in 2017 to be debit on 2-28-2019. I told her this is senseless and I should be able to view an online bill payment. She said, “No your account has been deactivated.”

    I told her, “I need my money. This is causing housing hardship.” Now I'm being told they never receive my license and updated address change to be mailed a check "IF" I receive my $466.00 a transaction they created fraudulent. It may not be much to them but I will continue to make sure I get my money back and they are held accountable for this fraudulent activity.

    I have had this account for over seven years. Due to my health issues, I had my daughter added to the account so she could handle my affairs which was over three years ago. There were no problems until February 2, 2019. She called me and told me there was a lock on the account. She also informed me that they would not speak to her as she was not on the account! I called them to find out that there was a deposit that was not in my name so they put the lock on. When they told me it was in my daughter's name and she was not on the account, I told them I had her on the account. She has had her paycheck sent to this account for three years with no issues until now. They could not tell me why her name was taken off nor why all of a sudden there was an issue.

    Then they told me I had to send in my documents (state ID, ss card and utility bill). I did and had to wait three days before they could tell me the results. After three days, I called them back only to be told they never received them but they already had my information on file from when I opened the account and that the information should have been my daughter's information with a notarized statement saying I give her permission to use my account. So we sent in her ID, SS card and a notarized statement.

    When we attempted to send those items to the link they provided, it did not work. So my daughter sent it from the AccountNow website and it went through successfully. I called back to be told that they have received the documents but it will take five to seven business days to review and verify. After sending her SS card three times, they finally accepted the documents but now needed a copy of my utility bill.

    They could not tell me why as I had to resend it even though they already had it on file and accepted all documents. They could only respond from the manual. I sent the bill in again and had to wait three days. I was told my utility bill was too blurry to see it via the website and fax but could not tell me what part it was. It was sent in five times with the same results. They refused to give me the reviewer's number and kept saying they are not taking any calls. They even threatened to send part of the money back and make sure we never get or what was left in the account even though it has been a month since the money was deposited into my account. I told them they had better not touch the money in the account.

    The first of dealing with this mess, my daughter had me file a complaint with the FDIC. So they are now investigating the situation. Part of the investigation is to let Bancorp know we filed a complaint so Bancorp is doing an internal investigation of their own. My account better be unlocked soon. My suggestion to anyone that is having issues, report them to the FDIC.

    On January 30th 2019 my check direct deposited. 30 minutes later there was a card to card transfer of $500. A few hours later I went to pay my car payment early, but I didn’t have enough money. After looking into my account activity, I called. Without my permission and instead of freezing my account, they closed it. They made all of my money inaccessible to me. Said they would mail me the balance. The dispute was completed, but not by me because I couldn’t print the paperwork for 3 days, I couldn’t access it. They sent me a letter on February 4th, 2019. Said there was an “error” closed the dispute.

    Even though my account was closed they accepted my federal return, took $39.99 out of it for “return” costs and another $20.00 for “other”. I have repeatedly called about the check that was compr. They tell me it’s in the mail and it takes 10-14 days. The letter and federal return both took 4 days after they were mailed. They are liars and thieves and I will be pursuing legal action when I figure out exactly what I need to do. They caused me to be late with 2 car payments and car insurance because they stole from me!!!

    I wouldn’t recommend AccountNow because they give you horrible service. I have direct deposit money from 2017 that I still never receive from them. Their employees are very horrible, rude and doesn’t know how to do their jobs. I had to submit my documents just to show them that the person talking to is actually me. I sent them a document last time and never received anything back from them. I issued me a new card and they said they either never received anything about it or they’ll never send it. One of their employees told me that the card that I was trying issue as a replacement they’re sending it back. I wouldn’t recommend them because they are known to be scammers. I will never go back to AccountNow because they’re give them a bad name for theirselves and their service aren’t good and they’re not respectful. I wouldn’t choose to be with AccountNow.

    AccountNow is a company that scams people out of their money. They cancelled out my bank card without my permission. The money I had in the bank they refuse to return it. They keep asking me to verify who I am. I keep sending them paper after paper information at the information and they still refuse to give me my funds. There's no way you can get in touch with a corporate office or phone number to anyone that owns the company. If you are trying to get an AccountNow card I recommend that you don't. This company is a scam and a thief.

    I have been with account now over 5 years. Suddenly I call them to tell them my card is damaged. They put in system my card was lost so as I get my direct deposit of 905 they tell me to send documents to prove it's me. I send every documents you can think of then all of a sudden my account is closed and my funds are still in my account. They tell me they will send a check home and 3 mths later they are saying there is nothing they can do. This place needs to shut down. All they are is scammers. I counted on my funds just to go to waste smh.

    I had this card for over an year and all of a sudden they suspend my card for no reason. I would get different information every time I called. They made me go through a runaround. I sent a copy of my driver license and ss card 4 times for them to receive it. They eventually closed my account for no reason.

    I've been with these clowns for 6 years almost. No issues. Suddenly, 5 hours after a $925 direct deposit hit my account (from my job) the money vanishes from my account. The money was deposited 502 pm Wed. I awaken to withdraw money the next day, and was declined a 200 dollar withdrawal. I check my statement online and see the balance is 105 dollars. I see 3 credits totaling 105 dollars. I call these clowns and they say there was two card to card transfers totaling 880 dollars, both from different people in California. I live 3000 miles away in NY. I asked them why can't I see the debits but only the credit, they tell me maybe the system needs to update, which makes no damn sense. On top of that, the supposed "thief" name changed when I called them the following day to follow up on the dispute it make sure they received the dispute documents I uploaded, which they did not and I had to send in again.

    First off, why the ** would somebody steal from me then put money back. Second off, why would I NOT be able to to see the debits, which is a card to card transfer, which SHOULD be instantaneous in reviewing online. (I did a card to card transfer to another bank account from an OFFICIAL bank I opened last month of 900 bucks, which was review-able on my account summary IMMEDIATELY.)

    I called them today because it's been 5 days since I opened the dispute, they tell me the account has been compromised. They will mail me a check, it will take up to 14 days to reach me AFTER the 10 day dispute period ends. (I filed 1/24/19, they saying the check will go out after 2/8/2019.) These people are lying sacks of refuse from a 200 year old sewer pipe. They royally screwed me for the next week. I do not get paid again until next Thursday, 2/7. They do not need to be in business, they need to be brought up on charges and thrown in jail. I'm beyond infuriated at this point and this is not my nature. I look and see 100s of other complaints on here and realize this company is E. coli crap on a flies anus. Stealing demons. ** them.

    Well my card got demagnetized and instead of them just sending me a new card they want a copy of my ID AND proof of address. My ID was burned up in a fire so I am waiting for DMV to send me a new one but they don't care and because I have to wait for DMV account now won't send me a new card so I could not pay my rent and phone bill so now I am homeless and I have to use Starbucks wifi because I don't have a phone.

    The people are incompetent. The customer is not right in this case. I was a victim of fraud. Had to go through loops and holes just to get a new card. They sent me a letter to my address about the dispute but I NEVER got my card. It was sent back to their corporate office. How sway if the correct address is on file. Then they charged me $25 to get another card. Did they charge the people that took money from my card originally? NOPE. I felt more like a criminal on trial than a customer. Best believe I'm switching banks as soon as I get my card and withdraw my funds. ** account now with their tedious process for recovery using your own money... Capital One and RushCard are better I heard.

    No one notified me about the issue. I received a new card and it was for a new account while my direct deposit just hit my other account that is froze. Plus I had other money on it. It took for me to call back to find out the email they gave me was invalid. I was told to send my documents on the website. I did it. They said it takes 72 hours for them to review it. It's been a week and they are still telling me it has not been updated. My rent is overdue and no one is assisting me while they have all my money.

    I asked for a supervisor and he saying the same thing, "We have to wait for a update from our back office team." Meanwhile I do not care about the dispute. I just want my money and I will never bank with them again. I asked if they could just cancel my account and send me a check because this is a huge inconvenience and it's not right to hold someone's money like that. I'm answering all the questions they ask and I have had this card for a few years and this is ridiculous for no one to be able to at least transfer my money to the new card they sent me. I am very upset and broke. This is not right.

    My husband has had an AccountNow MasterCard for about 13 years. He has a portion of his paycheck deposited to this account. Today was payday and the customary amount was deposited, plus he had some money on it already. We had breakfast near our home in Iowa and he used the card to pay for it. 3 hours later someone used the account at a Target store in Riverside, California, and cleaned out the account. Even though he reported the theft within an hour of it happening, Target won't do anything to help or stop the charge, customer service (overseas) won't do anything to help and he has to report it to our local Sheriff so they can report it to Riverside Police so maybe they'll open an investigation on it. In the meantime, money is gone, nobody will help. THIS IS A CRAP COMPANY - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!

    Hi my name is Calvin **. This card destroy my kids' Christmas. I have over a $1,000 on a card that I never received. I’m on SSI. I gave the SSI office the account & routing number to deposit my income on this card. The people I talk to have no heart at all. They say 7 to 10 days but it been 3 weeks now so I had to do a 3 day rush to get the card but it take over a week or more for them to look at the documents that I submitted. It's sad how my kids had to go through all this because the people that work at this company don’t care about the people they are talking to are the holidays that we share in this country... This is so sad that I can’t even get a card number to take my money off this card but I don’t understand why I can’t get it when it been over 3 weeks...

    So people I say to everyone this card is not for you at all. I’m have to go to my Social Security office and get all my money returned back to me on a government card. That can only happen until the 3 of 2019 so my kids holidays is destroyed and I’m so hurt as a father that I couldn't provide for my kids this holidays. This the worst moment in my life and my kids all because of this card... And they will not do nothing to make this right with me. All I can do is leave it all in God Hands.     On December 20, 2018 there were five unauthorized charges processed with my debit card at two different Kroger locations in Tucker, GA as well as Atlanta, GA. The charges were in the amount of $25.00, there were three charges in the amount of $54.95 and one charge of $57.72. I'm located in Tampa, FL and there is no Kroger's located in Florida at all. The card was in my possession so I can only assume that a criminal had access to my information. I contacted Account Now right away to inform them and they advised me that wasn't anything that could be done until 12/27/2018. They also advised me that I would have to wait to see if the charges would go through.

    The next day (12/21/2018) the charges were approved and I was left with no money. I called them back and they advised me to submit a dispute form so I completed the dispute form and tried to upload it to their website, however I wasn't able to so I faxed the form to them. There was a fax number located on the dispute form. I have the proof that the fax was accepted on 12/24/2018. I called them today to verify if they have received the form I sent it and the representative I spoke with asked me what fax number I sent it to and refused to provide me with a direct answer as to whether they received my fax or not. I then proceeded to ask for a supervisor and was left on hold for an hour. I decided to call back and try again.

    I called back and I was finally able to speak with a supervisor however I didn't really get anywhere. I asked her how do I upload my documents to the portal. She advised me to look at the "Claim Assistant" form and to do whatever the "Claim Assistant" form says. I was finally able to upload my dispute form, however I don't feel confident that they will give me my hard earned money back. I keep speaking with different representatives and I've been provided with several different answers. I've read several reviews from others and I don't have any faith that I will get my money back. I feel like I've been scammed. I would NEVER recommend using AccountNow to anyone.

    I have been with this company for about a year. I have NEVER had any issues until this past weekend. They allowed someone to purchase from Microsoft Xbox with my card number. There were 13 debits in one day. They have never seen me purchase anything from this company before and allowed 13 transactions, all within a two hour span and they did NOT think that this was odd. I submitted a dispute, only for them to say that they found no error. REALLY? What kind of financial institution allow 13 transactions from the same vendor, one that you have never seen before and do not call the owner of the card nor block it. Wells Fargo wouldn't have ever done this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE TRUST THEM WITH THEIR MONEY!

    I’ve had AccountNow for few years then my paycheck that got directly deposited in my account was stolen out of it 30 minutes later. One in Florida and another in California $803. I disputed it with them. After an investigation I was send a letter stating that there was no error and my funds would not be credited. After multiple calls with them and nowhere near getting an answer now I’m told to write a letter to a P.O Box. What the hell!

    They have a hold on my husband's back pay from social security. We have been jumping through hoops for these people. My husband got approved for disability and he got a back payment of over 10,000 dollars. We have sent everything they have asked for everyday 5 to 6 times a day. Every day they had a new reason why they can't take the hold off. I really think they need to be fined, looked into and closed down.

    I am like others that have complaints with AccountNow. Do not get their card. I have been dealing with the issue of them wanting documents that I have sent several times, only for them to keep asking me for the same things again. It has been 3 months now and I'm no closer to getting this issue corrected. This is my money they are keeping without releasing it. I need to know how I can file a suit on them. They say they have sent me a card, I checked and there is one that says I need to link it by putting the CVV in, why would I do that when I don't have the card? This is ridiculous.

    I have tried to get my money off my card for 2 years... sending them documents after documents, and still nothing. After I have tried they now say they sent it back to the IRS bank. Has anyone had this same problem, and does anyone know if I will receive a check in the mail? DO NOT GET AN ACCOUNT NOW CARD!!! They will tell you what you need to send them, and then you do that they will tell you need more. They wanted a utility bill in my name with my address, but when I told them I don't pay utilities that they're included in my rent... they sent it back.

    My card was just recently expired and have been waiting over a week and a half for a replacement, they refuse to give me access to my own money and all they do is give me a run around. I strongly recommend anyone that is thinking of opening an account with AccountNow - DON'T DO IT!!! BIGGEST MISTAKE. When I get my replacement card I'll be taking all my money and closing my account.     I have a refund that was put on my card a week ago. I sent in proper documentation they requested. I uploaded it to the website. The reps advised to wait 3 business days so I did. I called on the 3rd day cause my card was still suspended. The reps say they do not have an update yet to call back after 4pm. So I do I call around 4:15 pm only to be told that not all the proper documentation was received. That I was missing the original purchase receipt. That was not correct 'cause I know it was sent with the upload. I had scanned all the documents to a pdf file and sent it as one upload so there is no way they got all the other document and not that one. I argued and asked to speak to a manager 'cause not only are they holding my refund but the suspension was preventing me access to my other money in the account.

    I stressed to the manager that I would like to speak to the department that does the reviews as maybe they don't know what they are looking at. The manager says they don't take calls and they are already gone for the day. How convenient. They don't take calls and the updates come after they leave for the day. They said resend the documents again and then wait another 3 business days. I questions why I had to wait another 3 days. It's not a new claim or whatever they call it. They requested a document that I already sent but said they did not receive. If I send that why do I have to go back to the bottom of the pile and wait just review what you requested and release my card. The manager continues to apologize and tells me there is nothing they can do. I say ** to that.

    SO I submit all my documents again, I sent everything just in case they say that they didn't get something. I sent it first thing on Thursday morning. It was right at 7am. I talk to reps on Thursday. Still nothing. Card still suspended and all I get is apologies. All day Friday still nothing. Then I get told my 3rd business day would be Monday as now I am going into the weekend and still have no access to my funds. I am a week late on my rent and all they tell me is they understand but they can't do anything. I call this morning since it's my 3rd business day only to be told that my 3rd business day is tomorrow 'cause the first day I send the documents does not count. So the Thursday I sent in the stuff at 7am did not count. CRAZY.

    These people can't even stick to one procedure of saying the same thing. I am beyond frustrated. The crap that they spit to customers who pay them to have the card is ridiculous. I worked for this company years ago. I know the policies and procedures that's why I know the lines of crap they are telling are not true. I know the department that reviews the documents are in the same building as them. It is latterly on the other side of the office. I know that managers have access to unsuspend a card and they have access to see the documents that were sent. This company is full of poop. (That's the nicest way I can say that.) The owners or whoever really need to evaluate what is going on or they will keep losing customers.

    I have been waiting for my card for over a month. I’ve talked to several managers and customer service reps. Everybody change their ** stories every time I call. I have spoke to rep Paul. I have spoke to manager Dan. None of them ** helped me. They just keep telling me they sent my card and it will arrive this day. All the calls are recorded so they say so wtf can’t nobody story match. Why haven’t I received my ** card yet? They are very unprofessional and just tell you whatever to get you off the phone. They shouldn’t be able to continue business like this. My address has not changed one time and it’s been over a ** month. If I had to rate these ** they wouldn’t get one ** star from me.     I have had AccountNow over three years. Someone in Fort Lauderdale, Florida stole over 1700.00 dollars out of my account. They went from card to card, Best Buy, CVC and a North Hotel. They even changed my pin. Now, every bill that I have is past due. And, I only get paid once a month. I called and asked about my claim I filed. They said they were working on it. I think this was an inside job. This type of stuff needs to STOP!!!

    My husband answered a sec. ques. wrong, flipped my life upside down. They gave the one try and froze the account starting Aug. 19th, until he would send a copy of social and that was stolen in his wallet a yr ago. First they just wanted a copy of his ID, we sent that uploaded through his iPhone... Waited a week, no card, called they said, "Ohh but we need your social a copy." ON THE BACK OF A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD IT SAYS "NOT TO BE USED FOR ID PURPOSE"!!! Told them that, did not care. Sooo our rent, car payment, ins, cc bills, PGE, my kid's school money pics, all returned my bank, and I just repaired my credit to buy a house. Now thanks to these ** it ruined. I am going to take them to small claims. 11,500 in their account!!! OUR money! Now I finally got the card 2 mo. later trying to take money out to put in a real account 500$ a day that's it. BUT it will take 60 days to get a check and close the account. See you in court you **.

    I have used AccountNow for 6 years and have just closed my account as of 9/11/2018. During the past 3 years my account has been hacked or funds stolen 4 times. This last time it was a 300.00 card to card transfer. I agree with others that this must be an "inside job." - They knew exactly when my direct deposit would hit and immediately made the unauthorized money transaction. I was also treated to my account being locked out and only a portion of my remaining funds made available to me via a one-time "advance" at a real bank. Now I am waiting for them to send me my remaining balance via a check in the mail. I will NEVER recommend AccountNow as a viable or trustworthy solution to anyone.

    I have enjoyed using AccountNow for the last few years but have had problems with this company behind money that belongs to me. I lost my card and requested a new card but was told I needed to show proof of who I was and I did that by sending the documents to the center and still not able to get a new card because my address was changed and needed a bill that has my current address on it. As I explained to the rep for AccountNow that I don't have any utility bill or gas bill in my name and that the mail I provided them with is the only mail I get to the address and now they are saying it's not good enough. So how the ** I'm suppose to get my money... On top of that I could barely understand the reps that were helping me. AccountNow has to do better. I'm sorry but not sorry for discontinuing my service with AccountNow.

    I lost my card and ordered a new one and I gave them the wrong address. I have a disability dyslexia. I corrected the number and I was told that my account has been closed. I've made several attempts to contact them. No response. I've been told they sent a check to SSI but SSI has no record of that transaction. I ask for a copy of the check and for them to put a trace on the check. They said they mailed. They said that wasn't the procedure and they don't do that. I've had only 3 calls back and I missed each one. I've contacted this co. Over 75 times and have gotten nowhere. I've lost my home and have been pretty much homeless ever since this has happen. This was 2 years ago. I finally gave up. I read online of all these other complaints so I thought I would speak up. This company has put in a financial downhill nightmare. They closed my account and never transferred my money back to me.

    I am disabled and thought this company would be great to use to receive my disability check on with no charges when making purchases or withdrawals from the ATM. Boy was I wrong. It charges every time I use at a store or at ATMs. And resetting the pin has to be done online because they refuse to do it over the phone, I tried to set up the account app on my phone but it only allows me to go so far then won't let me go any further with the app on my phone. This company don't even deserve a 1 star as far as I'm concerned. I've lost over 200 a month over the last two years with this company.

    I order this card to receive my Federal income tax return. The card was doing fine until the deposit hit the card. Soon as it received a direct deposit they restricted the card stating I needed to send in 2 forms of identification. The funny thing to me here is the fact that they hold your money hostage. If the banking institution released your funds it's a downright headache for an organization that you choose to use to allow them to make money, stalls your money from you and take you through all these changes to get it back. I've provided my id, SS card, marriage certificate as well as my employment id to release these funds. I have bills due and small children in my home. This is spilling my summer events my livelihood and all. Something needs to happen with this company. They are literally robbing people in broad daylight.

    Not worth a single star. My son has been using an AccountNow card for his direct deposit and bill pay for a few years. A week ago somebody (probably an internal job) did a $500 card to card transfer from his account. He called and got the automated circle jerk that never gets you to a live person...but was able to report his card “lost or stolen” and paid an extra $25 for an expedited replacement. At that point, he was locked out of even viewing his account. When he reached out to their potential new customer line, he finally got a live voice.

    They told him to file a dispute. He couldn’t download the form because he was locked out of his account, so they told to write a letter in Word and upload it. He did this. A week later, no replacement card came. He called the customer “recruiting line” again to get a live voice and was informed that he wouldn’t be receiving a replacement card and that his account had been closed. They would be cutting a check and he would receive it in 5-7 weeks. This is $3000 of his bill money that they are sitting on for no good reason! He has missed a car payment and student loan payment - the first payments he has ever missed. He spoke to a “manager” who told him they “can’t send the money immediately. No, you can...you choose not to. He called back later at my instruction and informed the manager that if he doesn’t receive the money by FedEx in two days they can expect legal action.

    I was blocked from their page when I posted that they hold your check until they ready to post it. They told me 2 posts of over $200 monthly before you will get your check early. They lied and I called them out and to keep from a lawsuit they did not charge me monthly fee.     I have been a customer of AccountNow for about 10 years with direct deposits well over $70,000. On June 26, 2 deposits from Worldpay were deposited for $100 ea... I was given 1 after 3 days of calling & charged $1.50 each time... but they keep the other $100 for 2 weeks... Each time I called because they said it would be 24 hrs, every time. Over $25.00 in fees they won't return, even though, my money never was there for 2 weeks & I had to keep calling... every time stressing the fees they were charging me just to find out where my money was. Poorest customer service I have ever seen, & the names they give you 'Fhy"/ "Cel"/ " Dani"... not one followed thru to see why one was given & one was kept. No one should trust AccountNow with their money ever.

    I filed a dispute in May of 2018. AccountNow asked me to fax over documents supporting my claim. I just felt it was my loss and did nothing. On July 2, 2018 my card was restricted due to investigation of the dispute! I call and asked why my account was being restricted. AccountNow associated stated it had been escalated and didn't have anymore information. My direct deposit has hit today, which is for my rent! I have no access to my account! I can't tell my landlord this foolery that is going on. I have took steps to get another account with a better company. Sitting here hoping I don't get evicted!

    I first got email saying my online account was on lockdown, due to many times password was tried it was not me. They told me money card was fine. 3 days later someone used credit card numbers. They should have closed it had to resend info to get new card, 7 days later just got card, it happened again. Receive email saying, “We logged you out to due to password attempts.” This company I had 6 years never a problem, they have people in their system and do nothing about it. Need another company. Under investigation who did this. They need to shut them down.

    I have had a card with AccountNow for 6 years or so now. As of 28 June 2018, when I went to withdraw funds from an ATM, I was declined for restricted card? I contacted customer service and was told that due to a charge of $8.98 and another of $127.15 both from different states and vendors and not the state I live in northern did I or was having any knowledge of who or what these transactions were, I was told that my card would be shut down and a new one would have to be issued. I had just received one direct deposit of two that have been being deposited on this same card for a couple of years now. I now have a $1090.00 that I cannot have access to with another dep of $1158.00 going to be or should be deposited for a total of $2248.00 that I have no access to.

    Because I could not hardly understand the customer service rep when going through the security and ensuring my account I was told I didn't answer one of my security questions correctly and was told I had to fax a copy of the card in question, my photo ID, and my account number. I did this and after seeing the hundreds of all I can say is it made me very angry that my God how can there be so many like kind issues going on with this company and the attorney general or any authority hasn't investigated or even Bancorp Bank which my card is through???

    I have already made changes and these people may get from me hell I don't know now from what I seen I could be months getting my money back or access to the funds down to possibly never seeing it again. For the amount I'm possibly facing to lose I promise if I do not get back every dime they at this corrupt agency will be exposed. I don't care I have to do so. My funds are both government disability pmts so I have ladders over the bs arbitration smoke screen these crooked people are hiding behind.

    I applied for this card to be able to get direct deposit of income tax refund. I did MY son's taxes had them deposited. They froze the account. I've been trying to reach someone but nothing. They have our money on that card. The website won't let you do anything, when you call the 1800 number all it is a recording, no live person to talk to. I really need help because I need our money off that dreadful card.

    I misplaced my wallet and thought my AccountNow Gold card was in the wallet...but turns out it was not but I called and requested a new card be expedited overnight which I had done one time before no problem. They tell me the card is blocked and that I needed to fax or mail a photo id, signed social security card and proof of address... Since I could not find my wallet my id and very stupidly my social security card was in the wallet. My paycheck had just been direct deposited the same day this happened. My entire check was on this card. I had bills to pay and my rent due also.

    The date was May 4, 2018 I found my card within 15 minutes of calling and asked to have it unlocked so I could get my money off, no way would they budge, I spoke to two supervisors and two different customer service reps who just read over and over from the same script. I tried to put it where I hoped they would understand what if this happened to you, what if you had your entire paycheck locked up on a card and you could not get access to your money, I was told, "I am sorry but this is AccountNow Gold and we have to have proof of who you are." So I go get a new identity a new social security card, which is over a month into this and I finally call and ask them, "Where do I fax this to?" They gave me the no. and then said I had to have a bank statement, a utility bill or a copy of my mortgage to show where I live!!

    My id has this, I sent all in and called back to make sure they received it and I would get my card sent to me overnight for $25.00. Guess what? NO...they told me 5 business days to get the paperwork I faxed over verified. I lost it. I totally broke down, I have already received another paycheck and next week I will get another paycheck and now I still do not have my paycheck unlocked a month and 6 days later and I am still waiting for this. Today Saturday which is day no. 4 since they said 5 business days, but Saturday does not count. I know that when I call Monday they will say I still need something...I just know they will do this.

    This company is the worst company to deal with. Their call center is in another country and you cannot understand what they are saying and they cannot understand what you are saying either. It is very frustrating to even talk to them. I fully agree that they need to be shut down, or their rules need to change. They are using the money to gather interest and they use the cheapest labor to answer the phone lines. How can they possibly hold your money for so long and this is legal? They have to release your money. It is yours but yet here they are holding and holding my money. I am going to report them to the attorney general and also the BBB Monday. IF YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNTNOW GOLD CARD CLOSE IT OUT NOW, GET ALL YOUR MONEY OFF. THEY WILL KEEP IT FOR ANY REASON POSSIBLE. They are crooks.

    PLEASE READ AS I SHARE MY STORY. AccountNow is terrible. I would NEVER recommend anyone using their service. 4/25/18 I called in to ask about a lost card. If a card was lost what were the different things I could do because I had an old card of theirs wanted to know if I could use that card instead. I was misunderstood. Next thing I know I was told my card was being canceled, without my consent. Two weeks later was suppose to get another card but for some reason it never received it. I was told I have to wait another 2 weeks. My checks were coming on the card and it was nothing they could do to get my money off. I had to pay rent and got behind, I struggled to get to work because I was told there's nothing they could do to help me. I spoke with all supervisors! I called everyday explaining I cannot wait. I needed to pay rent.

    Then there was a solution where it would be express delivery, but I had to answer security questions that I didn't remember because it was so long ago when I did them. Since I got 1 question wrong my entire account was on block and they couldn't even send anything out AT ALL! I was furious. I explained to them even though I'm giving you guys personal information such as my social, date of birth, email address, there is nothing you guys can do. I had to send a copy of my social, drivers license and proof of resident. Let me remind you guys it's been 3 1/2 weeks and I still was not able to pay rent, get transportation to work, buy food to eat because my money was on the card. I finally got to send them the information and they told me it may take to 5 to 7 days just to review a fax I sent off my information they asked for! I finally received my card a month later. I believe this is a fraud service. I will not ever use them again.

    I did a cash reload at a register and my money never posted to my card so I attempted to call the company and after multiple attempts of getting an explanation they requested that I fax or send the receipt so I did. I was told within 24 hours the money would be back on the card and since then it's gone on to be at least 10 days with nothing and they don't do anything about it. Their customer service is insanely crappy. They literally just stole my money for no reason and have no accountability for it and unless I want to sue them there's nothing I can do. It would cost more money to sue them and it would be hard to even have them served so they can continue to rip people off and get away with it. I suggest you protect yourself and don't mess with this company at all.

    This company stole $800 from me. My job deposited $502 after I closed this account. Now we are having trouble getting the money back when AccountNow should have rejected it. Plus I’m looking for $298 that was already on the card. They give you the runaround. You can barely get through to customer service and if you call the bank associated with the card they say they can’t help you. You have to contact AccountNow. They allow charges you don’t recognize on your account. They don’t allow you to dispute anything. Then sometimes they freeze your card then you end up get declined for your purchase and they charge you a decline fee when you have money. This company really needs a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.

    This place is the most illegal organization out there for prepaid cards. They took $500 out of my account and now refuse to put it back in. This was not an error on my part but on AccountNow and the ATM machine. It was proven that the funds were not disbursed due to the ATM machine malfunctioning and AccountNow still refuses to put the money back on there. So now it’s a consumer review and then a complaint with the BBB. Do not get a card with these people!!!

    I've been a customer for 3 months now with my paychecks automatically deposited biweekly. I formerly used Netspend, but was tired of their fees. With Netspend I got my paycheck like clockwork on Mondays, at the exact time for two years. Now with AccountNow card I get it the following day (Tuesday) about 20 hours later than with Netspend. I asked the non English speaking customer service people why this is, and was told "you won't always get your direct deposit at the same time". Horse **. I can barely understand their non English speaking employees, and if you ask to speak to another it's the same thing. So next issue I had was only being able to take 300 a day out of account. For real?? Ok now I'm really pissed.

    They offer a 15$ bonus if you have two months of consecutive direct deposits over 500$. I'm thinking "whoopie... They've taken more than that in fees!!" So I call repeatedly (15 times total) and it's saying that I'm not eligible for the bonus. But the customer service say I am. I've been put on hold endlessly, transferred, hung up on, referred to another department and flat out lied to. I'm done with them today I reported them to the FTC and the FCC and am turning in a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Always remember this for future reference. If the company can't employ American workers that speak our language, what makes you think they care about your money once they get ahold of it?? Done. Save yourself the turmoil and get a real prepaid card from a real American company that deals with real money and real people.

    I had a AccountNow Debit card for about 6 months, when I had two unauthorized charges put on my account, after calling and disputing the charges, I contacted the companies that charge me and found that I was NEVER associated with the authorized charges. After awaiting a mailed letter or call about the disputes (only 2), I went into a major department store pay for a purchase I was ready to buy, after coming to find out that ACCOUNTNOW CLOSED MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AND MY FUNDS WERE THEN COMPLETELY UNTOUCHED.

    I was furious, I called AccountNow, the Rep stated my card was closed due to the fact "I was not able to keep the card secure", which was not my fault and credit card/debit fraud happens everyday (millions of times a day in the world). And the worst part, check this out... I wouldn't receive my money (in a paper mail form) until 50 DAYS AFTER MY ACCOUNT CLOSED. Don't even bother ladies and gentleman with ACCOUNTNOW. My advice to Green Dot Corporation, drop this subsidiary Debit Card from your association and treat your customers the way they deserve. That is exactly why the ACCOUNTNOW has 'the most negative reviews' on the web for a pre-paid card. They will steal your money and run, then mail you a check 3 months later. Shame on AccountNow.

    Time after time this bank has giving me numerous of problems. They cancel cards without telling you. My online bank statement is never accurate. My card was stolen and all they could tell me was wait 7 days for a new one. I couldn’t transfer money to another card so I couldn’t buy food. I couldn’t pay bills. I lost money in the end because I couldn’t go on my vacation without any money. So plane tickets and hotel deposit is down the drain. Do not use this company!! I’m warning you smh.

    I have been a customer with "Account Now" Prepaid debit card for over ten years, who banks with MetaBank and Bancorp out in California. I have no contact info for the headquarter in San Ramon CA. I have over 2.000.00 USD locked up in their institution. I get direct deposit from my employer to this prepay card. Without any phone calls or any notification. They have locked me out. I have no access to my hard earned money. They told me I got restricted because of a refund from Philippine Airlines. I have jumped through their hoops to open the account several times. They requested picture of my mailing address, a photo ID and the receipt from the airlines. I sent in addition, My Passport, Birth certificate, My DD-0214 and still, I am not able to get access to my money. I am considering legal action.

    I will NEVER recommend anyone to use them! RUN! I have had fraud on my account more times than I can count. The most recent time I had it on my account, because they didn't deactivate and close my previous debit card that I reported fraud on in February! Mind you it's April now, and the card was never closed and there was even more fraud charges on my account! They tell me I have to wait for the money to be returned to me, when it was clearly their negligence! Once I finally got someone who understood my frustration due to their incompetence! She then hung up on me! I'll definitely never use them again! Big jokes!

    My ID was stolen along with my card and after ordering a new card I was locked out of my account because someone tried to order card under my name so even after paying 25 dollars to expedite my new card I then got locked out of my new card and they closed my account without my consent. They have MY MONEY and even after sending proof of ID I'm told I'll have to wait to 5 weeks to receive a check. AFTER they feel like getting around to looking over the verification... I want to call the news about this whole situation.

    I have been using AccountNow for a couple of months now. I'm very dissatisfied with the service. I saw an unexplained charge that I didn't make. Called customer service. They cancelled the card and they was supposed to send a replacement card and I can file a dispute and they would do an investigation. According to them they done an investigation and they didn't find no error. I ask for them to send me a copy of their investigation because I want to know how you came up with that decision. Runaround is what I got. I never received the replacement card.

    After waiting 2 weeks I got a runaround from them when I kept calling. I never received the new card. Customer service wanted me to pay an additional $35 to expedite it FedEx. After waiting beyond 2 weeks I agreed they have charged me for 2 replacement cards I never received. Then $35 to expedite another one. A week later I received the card I was waiting on almost 4 weeks later. They are the worse prepaid card service.

    I was trying to use my card last evening and the card was declined. I then tried an ATM and again the card was declined. I called this morning to figure out what was wrong with the card and was informed that the card and services have been canceled. There was no call or email or any information as to why the card and services have been canceled. Furthermore, my funds will be sent to me by check and it may take up to 5 weeks. This will cause incredible hardship as all of my money is tied to this card and bills will obviously be due within 5 weeks. I've used this card for years and will be passing the word, not to use this service. This is bad business!!

    I'd used Accountnow for about 5-6 years with no issues. This past December, 2 cards (BOTH ACTIVE) were sent to me to replace my currently expiring card. I could not sign into my account online because both cards were causing a conflict with the one account. I called and brought this to their attention. For 3 weeks I could not access my account online but could via text and phone. Before a big direct deposit, and since the issue had not been corrected, I CALLED AND ASKED SPECIFICALLY IF MY DIRECT DEPOSIT SHOULD BE STOPPED. I was told that all would be well.

    1 day after my direct deposit was made, my account was hacked for $500.00. This was a part of my rent payment. After being put through a dispute process, I was told 2 weeks later that my money would be returned. So a CSR ordered a new card for me only to inform me another 2 weeks later that I no longer had an account and would have to wait 5 weeks for a reimbursement check. Well, I come to find out that the check was FINALLY processed ANOTHER 2 WEEKS LATER AND THE COUNTDOWN FOR THE 5 WEEKS BEGAN THE DAY IT WAS PROCESSED (YES 2 WEEKS LATER). So a problem that I brought to their attention has caused me to be behind on all of my bills, robbing Peter to pay Paul, 2-3 months later. Their nonchalantness and smugness over the phone was enraging and I still do not have my money.

    I have been a faithful AccountNow user for over 9 years, they closed 3 of my accounts without warning, for no reason and never notified me. When I spoke to CS I got a read from the monitor answer, they did the same to my daughter the week before. No notice, email or nothing. I would have never thought as a long time card holder that I would be treated like this. I made sure everybody, at least twenty people, that I know uses their card changed companies - and I know plenty more. No care and of my direct deposits, I hate to see how you treat your enemies.

    AccountNow does not provide information for the reason they deny your claim nor do they truly review their cases to find errors that leaves their customers affected by their poor investigation actions. Two days ago I called them for help with a claim. I was disputing a $213 charge . M claim was not even investigated for more than 3 days before closed by them. Usually this takes 10-45 days to complete. Luckily I retried speaking with the merchant who caused this charge from my fixed income which was affected critically by this issue I encountered. Beware of what this card company's definition of insured funds really means. This card provides your money no security at all and can care less about the theft that can potentially happen. They do not care. They will not help you or give you any answers or provide any evidence for why they feel that no errors have occurred. Basically accusations that you stole your own money.

    I have been with this company (AccountNow - Bancorp/MetaBank) few years. This year I started having my paychecks direct deposited. I moved mind you almost two years ago, went online change my mailing information on both accounts. Well I notice I had not yet received my new card, because I knew that my current was due to expire in the next month. So, I contacted them, their suggestion was for me to go my old address and ask for MY CARD (REALLY)! I EXPLAINED TO HER THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE. So, she then decided to sent a replacement card (which canceled out the current card I was using)! I call back again trying the use the card next day. Guess what (declined). At this point I am furious with them. I could not understand the rep., so I ask to speak to someone I could understand.

    Then finally spoke with a man. He said because the other rep., should have informed of this, he let me do a one-time withdraw as I was on the phone with him. I took out $500, thinking that I would have my card next week. Wrong. Few days later, they sent it to the wrong address, then I wanted them to expedite my card via FedEx, I would answer some security questions. No problem ask them, I had to literally spell out "where I was born" several times and the other two questions "that process took me 30 minutes!” I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND HIM AND HE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND ME! AND THE SECURITY ANSWERS, WERE WRONG! NO SURPRISE...

    THIS IS B.S., BECAUSE I NEED MY MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT. This happened on Feb. 2018 and today I still don’t have my money and the card I received they won’t let me activate it due the fact that because of their rep (who does not speak good English)! Messed up my questions. "Hello", I had to send them proof of who I am and wait 5 freaking days for them to decide if I am who I say I am! Frustrating, I do not who else to talk to to get my money!

    I've reported my card lost in February 2018 and was instructed to upload documents to the online website. On February 28 they received my utility bill, social security #, and driver license. A week later they said to send in a full picture of the utility bill. Another week later they need a picture of my paycheck stub. Here it is March 12 and still no card. Rent is PAST due, bills are behind and every other day I have to send in something new. I wouldn't recommend this card to nobody. I regret getting it and not opening up a bank account. I cant get access to no funds, they cant even transfer funds even though I have a account and routing number. So I guess now I'm at the point where Im forced to be evicted because I can't get any access of any funds???

    Class action all the way. I have been doing business with this company for years and always trusted the call, I never check my account statement online before because I always call and listen to the automated service that would outline my transactions, I trusted that service. Most recently, I have been receiving large amounts of deposits, but when I check my account, for the first time online, I was appalled the account summary had no balance along with deductions. So when I look at a transaction there is no balance. The balance do appear at the outset of my statement and that's no good. When I add up the proper balance there balance is off by hundreds of dollars. I know there must be a class action to join on this matter, if not then let me be the start of one.

    I had my tax refund deposited on the debit card. They allowed me to use the card the 1st day, then they restricted the card. They asked me to upload identity documents. I did that, then they said they needed 72 hours to review them. When I called back they said they had my documents and could see them clearly. However, it is now 5 business days later and my account is still restricted. Every time I call the representative tell me that there is a delay in their system because they have lots of documents to review. They are illegally withholding people money and doing what they want with it. I personally know 5 other people who had their tax refunds deposited and they did the exact same thing to them. I called and filed a complaint with the CFPB, Consumer Federal Protection Bureau at 877-411-2372.

    I applied for this prepaid card online. Was told you receive your direct deposits sooner easy to use and no fees. Almost all of that information is fraudulent. I received my federal tax return on 02/21/2018 and paid a bill, booked a flight and took off some money. The following morning 02/22/2018 I went to purchase gas and my card was declined. After spending 20 minutes trying to get a representative on the line I was told that my account was restricted and I needed to prove my identity to regain access.

    I was also told it would only take 24 hours and I would have complete access to my funds. That was on a Friday and they don't work on the weekends so Monday comes I call no update. Tuesday the same thing, this time I ask to speak to a manager and the call center does not have managers only supervisors and they are the highest point of escalation. Anyways no update only that my documents were sent in on 02/22/2018. Here it's Wednesday. The 72 hour timeframe is up and not only is there no update they claim they just received an email stating that there was an error with uploads and it will now be 5 business days before they review my documents.

    They told me this is done in the "back office" so I asked to speak to someone in the back office and guess what? They don't have extension numbers for the back office. I'm not allowed to speak to them. I ask for a manager and I get another call center representative saying they are the supervisor. I am truly beginning to think they don't have the funds to allow me to access my money. Why else would they do this to what seems like everyone. I will update in two business days.

    I thought of using a prepaid card, would be have more easier for money to paid bills. Nationwide Insurance agent approved my payment to refund back on my AccountNow card with a cancellation document. I've talked with so many customer service rep and supervisor (manager). Nobody took their time to help me. Every customer service representative gave me two different fax number (925) 217-0050 and (925) 217-0052... Cancellation paper was send in on last Friday and yesterday, still no sign of two cancellation papers. Taking to my own matters to give them a bad review and I'll never give "Account Now" my business... Never again!!! Poor customer service.

    I am an account holder for many many years. My account has a restriction on it because I recently had a deposit posted to my card for 10,000.00. It is going on five days that I have absolutely no access to my money. All my credit card payments are bouncing back and my utility bill that I processed on their website never went out, which caused chaos of being shut off. I sent all my documents they requested to them and nothing is happening to lift the restriction. I need my money so I can fix the damaged this has caused to my credit. I need to also pay a 2000.00 utility bill. How can this be legal? Their reps have nothing to say but sorry and they repeat themselves like robots but no help at all.     First let me say what AccountNow is doing is criminal. I was told that a replacement card was mailed to me. It would take 5-7 business days. Never got it. Now keep in mind I have been with this company for 4 years. So because I didn't receive it and I wanted it expedite. I needed to be ask security questions. Okay they said I missed one, and because of that, I would need to send over docs that would take up 72 hours to be reviewed and approved. Mind you another deposit has hit. I'm going on 14 days without access to MY FUNDS. And what I have been told is I just have to continue to wait... I was told that I would still be able to pay my bills with my account #. Also NOT TRUE. Please DON'T GET THIS CARD. NOT WORTH IT. Of course I went to another bank and guess what? I can't transfer MY MONEY over... I have to wait for their card. I can't believe this BS.

    Do not order this card. Just because my address changed they marked my account as fraudulent which means I can't get my funds until they release them. They told me 72 to 48 hours. It been past 72 to 48 hours and I still didn't receive my money that was ever since last Thursday and it's already Tuesday now. This card is a bunch of BS. They shouldn't even be able to sell these cards because it's so difficult for you to be able to get your money. Do not order this card. If you read this review is not worth it. Too much hassle and these cards is a fraud and when I told the lady I was recording the conversation to she hung up on me and when I get my money I would never deal with this card again.     I've had this prepaid card for about 6 months, When I got it in the mail I activated it. I wanted to see how well it worked before having any other monies direct deposited on it, so I went and bought a MoneyPak card and loaded it onto my Visa [AccountNow card]. It was a 40.00 card that I purchased that cost me an additional 5.95, I loaded onto my card and when it showed me my balance, It was only 30.05. Never again will I ever do that.     This is by far most the worst experience I have ever endured with a debit card in my entire life. AccountNow is nothing but a scam in disguise. I accidentally press the wrong option, and they automatically blocked my card without any way of correcting the mistake. Furthermore, I was told in order for my card to be confirmed as lost or stolen, they needed my five digit zip code. I never confirmed it; and they still blocked my card... What's even more pathetic: They reactivated my card for me to use only one time, and locked my card again, after the fact that I told them I didn't need a replacement card. And they truly had the audacity to tell me they "granted" me access to my own money as if they were doing me a favor for something that belongs to me!

    Come to find out: "The reason their automated service doesn't have an option to correct that huge error IS because there is a ten dollar replacement fee. This explains why they automatically lock your card when this prompt is pressed, and there is no way of undoing it; because this is their hidden scheme of collecting more money from customers." Imagine if one hundred people made the same mistake I did (let's do the math) $10×100=$1,000. This is money they are guaranteed to receive from ripping us off. Nothing but an undercover scam card. They are the worst company to do business with. NEVER in life do any business with AccountNow.

    DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I should have read the reviews before I decided to do business with them. I have my VA and Social Security disability going to this card. I lost my wallet and when I called to report it I found out they do not allow you to transfer money from one account to another even though they say you are able, they want to charge $25.00 to expedite shipping another card to me or I can wait 15 days for another one. Hard to understand people on phone with their broken English. Very frustrating. NOTE: Contacting the Better Business Bureau is one step but if you file a report with your State Attorney General's office they do a complete investigation and these folks need to be put out of business.

    I have had AccountNow for many years. I have one issue that comes at least twice a month. The inability to use your card when the website is experiencing technical issues or maintenance. This has happened to me at restaurants and bars when closing a tab and it is super embarrassing. Usually site will come back up moments later usually 15 minutes max. Also cards are fairly cheap as in they don't hold together well.

    AccountNow is the worst prepaid debit I have had. This company is fraud and they take from their customers and expect the customers to be ok with it. These people have lied to me about my features and when questioned about it they hung up on my face. I was also told that I didn't have any options and that I had to wait for a replacement card that I would receive in 3-5 days however when I called back to check the status no card had ever been issued even though I was charged twice for it.

    The funds I have in their account are not available for me to get at this time which allows me to think they are doing fraud. If anyone of important can see this please report AccountNow because they are taking money out of customers account without them knowing nor will they give the number to corporate to make complaints. The names of the people I would like to report are Jessy, Sarah, Peter and the supervisor Sherry. The supervisor was very rude and was the one who hung up in my face. She is very unprofessional and her accent is too thick to understand. Perhaps she should go back to where she came from because she does not speak English well and it's an insult to the United States.

    They closed and deactivated my account and forced me to get a new card because I called about an issue I had with my card. They then told me that I can't make any complaints about anything pertaining to my account or card because they will cancel it again. That I should think twice before complaining again. I will never do business with them again and I will never let anyone I know and love open an account with them. They are very rude and unprofessional.

    By far AccountNow and it's one of the worst businesses I've ever experienced in my life and I've had some pretty bad customer service experiences like they don't answer the phone. You can't talk to a real life person and they have about 5 or 6 different numbers to call then they do whatever they want with your money. This isn't a business but for all of you people who do not know the best way to get your money as he keep calling the Better Bureau Business because they don't have the right to hold your money. If you read their privacy and Policy Act you'll see they do not have the right to do that and please please please stop banking with AccountNow.

    If you do not have access to a bank account you can always go with NetSpend. They're wide known and reliable. I know I did a review on them too but I'm sorry for everybody that has to go through so much just to get funds because I know how that is and I beg of you please report this to the Better Bureau so that we can at least prevent this from happening to other customers in the future with AccountNow.

    AccountNow made me cancel my card due to a dispute! Wow. They keep telling me I need another card! 4 cards later I still can't get my money off this card. It has to be unlocked every week when I get paid! What the hell is the right number to even talk to a live person??? Ready to scream.

    In November a new card was sent to my old address because the new card I had was going to expire in Jan. I called them in Dec to ask where the new card was. They told me what happened and said they would send a new one to my new address. I waited for a 2 weeks and received nothing. I called them back and to give my address again. They told it would take 72 hours to process my address and 7 to 10 business days to get my card. Well now it's the end of December and I have another deposit due and still NO CARD! I GAVE them my address again and they still talking about 72 hrs to process the address and 7 to 10 business days to get a new card. What **!!! I can't get the money I worked for.

    I would NOT RECOMMEND ACCOUNTNOW to no one. I made a deposit to my prepaid AccountNow debit card on a 12/11/2017 and have yet to receive my money. I faxed them the receipt, gave them the info from Western Union in which that's where I loaded the funds and they still haven't loaded my card. I have called over 100 times and no one is able to inform me of why I haven't received my money yet. I will be contacting the news as well as BBB because this is unethical and it seems that AccountNow is running scams. I will be making a formal complaint possibly even good forward with a lawsuit.

    Today is Thursday December 7, 2017. The time was approximately 8:48 AM. I went to Walgreens to reload a new (Account now Visa card ) that came in the mail. I thought it would be a good Idea to use this card to pay my cell phone bill that's coming up on the 14 day of this month. Oh boyyy was I wrong. I deposited $50.00 but in order to load any money to this card there was a $4.95 service fee so now I'm looking at what? $55.00 dollars total. I left Walgreens after my purchase. I only live 5 minutes away. I get home dialed 1-877-762-2308 number to check my balance. $0 balance so I waited 15 to 20 more mins $0 balance. At this point I am upset. Where's my money?

    I decided to go on line to reach customer service department. That's a joke. There's nobody to talk to direct to address for inquiry, transactions or disputes. What the hell I got my self into? 5 more mins pass by. Balance is now $40.05. Now there's a $9.95 dollar fee. Ok. That's cool. I waited about 5 more mins. Something in my gut said checked your balance again. Now I have $37.05. I immediately went back to Walgreens and was told there's no refund so now I'm scratching my head, if I don't get my money off this Damn card these crooks going to take all of it. So now I'm at the ATM inside the store. My balance dropped again down to $34.05. OH NO!!! THIS IS THE LAST STRAW. I left Walgreens and went to the nearest gas station and used all my remaining cash on this card (problem solved). People don't waste your time or your money with this scam card.

    My online account was locked when the password was wrong two times then that would not unlock my account. I had to send in proof of Me by driver's license, social security card, all this stuff. I had to mail it into them and it would take like 2 weeks before they would unlock my account. I ended up getting a new account with another company. Their non-American customer support is horrible. Needs to be taken off the market.

    AccountNow is a scam. My home was broken into. I receive a big amount of insurance money to my new card. The first day I took out 2300 within the limits. I go to make a bill payment the next day and the card is blocked. I sent in verification of my identity and was told 72 business hours. 7 days later I'm writing review with still no access to my funds. This can't be real.

    AccountNow has restricted access to my money. They put a restriction on my card for no apparent reason, there were no disputes made by me on my account, but they took it upon themselves to dispute a charge that was a card to card transfer. So what. It's my money. I can do whatever I want with my money. I sent a photo of my ID... And social security card which is what they asked for. It is Friday and was told earlier they would call me before 7pm which is when they close, got no call so I called them at 6:45 and was told they needed or wanted something else so took photos of letter from social security letter, mail from them (AccountNow) with address on it, a letter from insurance company AAA. Then was told, "We can return the funds to the sender." I said, "No that would take even longer and already have over $100 in late fees over this nonsense."

    Thing is I have been with them for 9 1/2 years, why do this now and cause me all this grief. I was put on hold for 1 hour and 47 mins yesterday, was hung up on 9 times yesterday. Day before was on the phone with them for over 7 hours, was put on hold for long periods, was told one thing then something else, was hung up on, told they couldn't help me or do anything to help me so I asked, "Just exactly what are you there for if you are unable to do anything to help a customer." I have names and badge numbers on every single person that hung up on me or put me on a extensive long hold. If you want those email me. I will gladly send them all to you, all I did and still have no money.

    I received a Federal deposit and tried to get money from ATM. It declined with a error reason unauthorized user. I’ve had this same card for about 2 and a half years now. Always receive deposits from work and tax refunds and never had a problem getting money from card. After declined at ATM machine, I called customer service and was advised to send ID, social, bill and something that verifies the deposit is mine. I sent ALL requested documents and now my access has been completed restricted... I can’t get into my account online or anything else.... just completely blocked. This is a large amount of money and they won’t release it to me on the card, and they haven’t sent it back to the company that deposited the money to me. PLEASE help... I’m a mother of 7 and I need my money. What can I do??

    On Sept 26th my account was hacked in the amount of 811.00. I called the company and they closed my account. The remaining balance of 343.03 was supposed to be sent via check which I still have not received. I received an email on 11/2 saying that the dispute was closed and found in my favor. The amount of 811.00 was credited to my card which I have no access to.

    I called them after receiving my email and got a sob story about losing someone in the accounting department and that why I hadn't received my first check of 343.03. And they would escalate that amount as well as the balance of 811. I called today and was told that I should of already received the 343.03 and I wasn't able to get received the 811 because it was still under investigation despite the email saying otherwise and the amount being credited to my account. I asked to speak to higher management and instead was directed to a menu. Basically I'm screwed out of 1154.03.

    AccountNow sent me a card so I decided I was going to upload money onto the card. At first they put limits on the amount I could take out up until now I didn’t have a problem swiping my card or ordering something offline. Yesterday I tried ordering something from Fashion Nova and it declined. I called my card in and he had money on it so I called AccountNow and the lady name Rivfhyla which is a crazy name but anyways she asked me to verify my birthday which I did. She told me my account has a restriction on it because my date of birth isn't the same on file but when I called a couple of months ago regarding the amount of money spent a day my date of birth wasn't a problem. She told me I have to send them a picture of my ID social security card and proof of my resident.

    She also told me she's sorry but she couldn't help me so I called AccountNow customer service. Again the lady told me they would send me my deposit through a check and that I should receive it in 5 weeks. She said I didn't have to send my ID info no more so she puts me on hold and says I can just go ahead and send my info and she just said I clearly didn't have to send it. They are a bunch of scammers trying to lowering people in to use their cards so they can take your money. DO NOT ACCEPT THESE CARDS OR USE THEM!!?? I REPEAT. DO NOT USE THESE CARDS. You will go through many problems with them regards your money.

    This is the worst card ever. They charge for everything. $1 for debit or credit and $2.50 at the ATM plus the regular ATM fee. You spend more money on fees than you do purchasing. If someone steals and uses your card you don’t get your money back. Customer Service is rude sometimes. They put you on hold and they never come back. Please don’t ever order AccountNow.

    I had a charge I wasn't aware of so I called to dispute it. So instead they closed my account without me knowing. So when payday came I had no deposit. So I called. They tell me, "Oh your account is closed." So I called payroll. They couldn't help me until account now.     I was overcharged for a purchase I made so I called customer service. The lady I spoke to told me nothing could be done until the merchant pulls the only then they can correct it. So the following day I check my account and the merchant charged my card again without my permission. I did not authorize the transaction. So I disputed the transaction send them a copy of my receipt and still have not go my money back my card is overdrawn somehow even though this is a prepaid card. They took my direct deposit. This place is horrible. They don’t care about your money. They act like it’s theirs even though I put my money on this card. Big mistake. This company is a total rip off. They don’t speak English trying to tell me I don’t have overdraft but yet they let a company put a transaction through to put me overdrawn. Yeah that’s called overdraft. They should declined the transaction when I didn’t have that in my account and now I’m out 300$.

    For over a month I have been trying to get a refund of a check that I had cancelled with them, the first "rep" told me wait 3 business days and the amount should be available... 3 days came and nothing! Then I was told 10 business days, I was patient enough to say "fine"... 10 days came around and still NOTHING! And I was told "I don't know what happened... I understand your frustrations." BS. And proceeded to tell me to wait another 10 days! Now today I called on the "10th business days" and still NOTHING! What kind of scam are these people running... My lawyer already know of the situation and has been given them some leeway after leeway, now all of us are freaking frustrated with them.

    Deposit made from IRS on 10-25-17. They restricted my card until I sent them copies of my driver's license, signed social security card and mail with my address. As of today my deposit is still restricted. I called the IRS and was told they have no right to ask for SS card. So now I am worried about identity theft.

    On October 7th, I went to the grocery store to purchase items with my prepaid debit card. Only to find my card declined. Upon calling the card company, I found out that my account had been disabled and I was unable to get access to my funds. I spent nearly two hours on the phone, only to get told that my account has been closed for use and my balance on the card would be sent to me via check and I could not use my account nor access my remaining funds. I have not received my balance to date and no one can give me any answers on it.

    This is awful. I stopped a check that was sent out through the AccountNow bill pay system and they are not putting the money back in my account. Getting the runaround when I call and they frustrate you so much you don't want to call back and they could care less about their customers. I heard them laughing on the other end like this was some kind of a joke that they have my money and there is nothing I can do. This is fraud and the company needs to be shut down.

    About a month ago I reported my Account Now prepaid Visa card lost. At that time my card had $ 118.60 on it. I have tried to call this # 1 877 762 2308 to no end and can never get anyone to answer. It has been one month now and I still do not have my replacement card nor has anyone from this company tried to contact me. To anyone thinking about using this company DON'T DO IT. I have no course left but to sue.

    I guess I should have read the reviews before choosing this company, shame on me. I feel it's my duty to share my experience to hopefully save someone else from this "company." I just started using this card and have only made a few purchases one being gas in which I paid at the pump considering I have small children I would rather not Rangel into a gas station. I pumped my fuel last night in preparation for hurricane Nate heading directly toward the area I live. I went to the store today to get my youngest diapers, boxed milk, and non perishable food for my family. I'm sure we will be out of power when the storm hits and how long I'm unsure. Well my card with the only money I have was declined. There was absolutely no way possible! After a long wait on the phone I finally get a representative (that barely spoke English). I was informed it was my fault. They actually put a hold on my account since I paid at the pump.

    I was advised I could have avoided this by going inside. I had plenty of funds to cover my transaction so basically they are holding money they have no right to hold. I tried to explain this to them, tried to explain the governor has issued a state of emergency due to a hurricane coming right at us, and they are keeping the only money I have to buy my child diapers and food. They continue to explain it will be available in a few days. We don't have a few days. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and was left on hold 45 minutes. I assume they had hoped I would hang up, which I finally did but called right back.

    Finally got another person on the line. She went over the same thing and said that there is nothing they can do to remove the hold until my small purchase clears. I lost it and began sobbing on the phone because they are keeping my money that I worked for, leaving me with not a dime to my name, during a natural disaster, and aren't even willing to try and see if there is anything that can be done to help. I'm crying and begging to be transferred and the rep hung up on me. So now I'm waiting for the storm, my child needs diapers, milk, and we all need food while they keep my money. As soon as it is returned I'm canceling this card and pray nothing happens like this to anyone else. Not only are they crooks, have horrible customer service, they have zero compassion.

    My card was used unauthorized 9/12/17 for the amount of 937.01. I filed a dispute immediately. Also filed a police report. They denied the disputed and now I have sent 2 letters to get it reopened. When I call no one can answer any questions, simply say write another letter. I have spoken to managers same response. No one has a way to tell me if letters are received. No one has any information on my dispute at all.

    I called AccountNow and described that I want to pay my bills after getting released from hospital and it was negative.50 cents. They told me to upload my info from their site, I did so. I asked them if they wanted proof I was unable to use my card. They said no, I said, “Well you will be able to tell at the ATM it’s not me.” I sent them pictures of my I.D. even though they did not request it. This was all on the 4th of September. On the 11th I call to get some well overdue information because I still have had no money. It’s been 7 days. They tell me I will get a letter in another 6 days that I can dispute my claim has been unfounded and closed. Again I said, “Well what about ATM shots? He said they don't do all that.

    So I'm supposed to write a dispute letter on my dispute findings, and that letter has to be sent to them after I receive my letter of absolutely no findings of fraudulent charges. Mind you they are saying that without ATM pics, without absolutely any evidence that I know would speak for itself but they don't go that far. Well I'm disabled and that money is every dime I had to pay my bills so I'm getting my electricity shut off, my phone disconnected and my car insurance called and he told me there was nothing he could do as a manager and he would not even give me his badge number. I'm taking this case to the absolute top because I have an attorney working on a lawsuit because after a small investigation he found an estranged person at the ATMs in question using my card.

    I have been with AccountNow for over 10 years, up until the last year I have had no problems with them. 5 years ago, I became disabled. I had decided I wasn't going to use them for direct deposit for my disability so I opened a bank account. (It not that I never couldn't open a "real" bank account. I just chose not to) I moved from the town I lived in about four years ago. At that time I had to close my bank account and was using AccountNow for direct deposit. Several years ago, I opened a bank account after divorcing my ex-husband but decided that half of my Social Security would still be deposited into my AccountNow account.

    Last year, I change my name, my full legal name. I contacted AccountNow so I could get cards in my new legal name. They sent me out new cards and then closed them immediately with my money on them. They then asked for proof of identity which I sent them a copy of my driver’s license and Social Security card and court documents with legal name change. They never contacted me back but after several days I contacted them they stated I needed to also send pictures of the cards they had sent me so I did along with copies of my driver’s license and Social Security card again. They sent me out to new cards immediately. One of the cards had my old name on it. At this point I was so frustrated because I have been playing games with them, that I wasn't going to contact them again and go through the same hoops I had already jumped through. I just left it as is.

    Several months ago, I left one of my cards. The one with my direct deposit was put onto at my grandma’s 300 miles away. Now keep in mind that when Green Dot purchased AccountNow I called to see if there was going to be any major changes, I was concerned. They assured me everything would be the same. I would have no problems and I would be guaranteed the same great customer service as if it was ever that great after that experience I went through with changing my name. Since leaving my card at my grandma’s, I would just transfer my money from one AccountNow card to the next every month not even thinking about it.

    This month when I tried to transfer money it wouldn't let me. I called. I asked what was going on, they said the system was down. I asked when it would be back up, they responded they didn't know and I thought, “Well I only need a little bit of cash, I will just wire some to my son through MoneyGram.” I called them because MoneyGram wouldn't work, they told me to go through disputes at AccountNow.com and send them verification of my driver’s license and Social Security card which I did. The next day I called because still I couldn't transfer money and I couldn't wire money. I was told those were no longer options with AccountNow, neither MoneyGram or transferring money from one card to another. I told them I didn't have access to my money. I then said, “Forget it, send me a new card. I want to expedited, I will pay the fee my card to arrive several days later because I paid $25 for expedited service."

    When I went to activate my card, it had been closed. I called them, I was told because I had a card that was in another name which was my old name on the card they sent me after I had attempted to change my name on both of my cards but didn't want to jump through hoops again so I left it alone, that they closed the card because there is two different names associated with my Social Security number. They told me to send in verification of my identity. I told them I had already done this over a year ago when I changed my name (and had proof I had done this and that it was their screw up in the first place because they sent a card in my old name.

    They told me to send the documentation in anyway so I did. I called several days later, they then asked for verification of my address. I sent a copy of my driver’s license, Social Security card, a utility bill and a picture of the front of the card they had just sent me. I told them how would I have the card if I didn't live here, furthermore my address is on my driver’s license but I sent everything to them again. It has been two weeks, they refused to refund the expedited service charge They told me today that it takes 72 hours from the day that I submit verification of my identity and all other verification that they could get the hold lifted, never mind it's saying my card is closed.

    I told them it has been over 72 hours and I would asked to speak to a supervisor. I also told them that I would be contacting the federal government as they were holding money that the federal government gave me and I have done everything that they've asked even though it has put me in a very bad situation due to my disability, that they are asking too much of me when I've already given them what they've asked for. They told me they would contact me as soon as my card would be able to be used.

    Now keep in mind twice this week it's said my restriction has been lifted via the automated service. They told me that was a fluke in the system and that they were working on fixing it. I am very disgusted there is no one to answer my questions ever. I will be contacting the ADA, my doctor will be writing a letter. I told them they will be responsible for all overdraft fees because I have bills that come out of my actual bank account every month and them withholding money has caused overdraft fees in my normal bank account. They seem quite concerned about this and told me that they would contact me on Monday morning. Originally they said within an hour then they said within a business day so it would be Monday.

    In the meantime I have credit card bills due and am accumulating overdraft fees. It seems to me that all this is happened since Green Dot purchased this company. I told them I would be closing my accounts as soon as I receive my funds. I also told them if they can’t give them to me by Monday that I would contact the federal government, that the federal government would rescind all the funds and would be replaced to me in my own bank account. There is a bunch of arbitrary agreements set forth with AccountNow as with any company, it states you cannot sue them but the fact is they are going against American disabilities act and federal money.

    This isn't over. Although before this, I've had to contact them only once about funds that were taken off my card that were not mine and they replace the money immediately. I believe that's when it was still own directly by Metabank. There is no email to contact anyone. It's all a joke if you need to use a prepaid account due to the fact that you can't have a bank account. Do not go with AccountNow. Years ago I would've said, “Yes, they are the way to go. They are the best one out there.” But considering I have been paying them $10 a month times 2 because I have a Visa and MasterCard for 10 years and have done everything they asked yet they have put me in hardship and don't care and have no one to speak to directly in their review department for documents.

    Don't go with them. Look up every other company you can because they will make you jump through hoop after hoop after hoop no matter what the hardship. They don't contact you if they need more information. If you don't contact them you'll never know and it's a bunch of people who don't speak English well enough to understand so they shouldn't be doing call center customer service. I'm pretty sure they don't even live in the United States, just another company being ran by a bunch idiots who don't have any answers except for scripted ones. The supervisor I spoke to didn't even want to give me his full name and rep ID number. I cannot believe this company still in business especially after reading all these reviews. And overall, they all seem to state the same thing.

    Green dot is a joke. Everything has changed since they took over. If you can get a bank account, open a bank account. If you can't, find another company but not AccountNow. So beyond upset I'm sick and may end up in the hospital. Will they pay my copay for a hospital visit, nope, not unless I sue them which may end up being the case. Seriously, sending me a card I paid 25$ to receive in 2 days and charging me for a new card!! 35$ and the card is closed when it gets here, really??!! What a joke. What happened to humanity and caring about people. Oh wait, it's 2017 and they have jobs and can work while I have a bachelors and used to make close to 200,000$ a year. Now I'm a nobody because I'm disabled and they want to play games with my limited income my kids depend on!!

    Ok, so I called a few months ago about my account, these people are ridiculous, they take you through so many changes about your money. They lock you out of your account and then say "Send info via email." Try and send. Always say invalid address then you fax it and they swear they never got it! These people are like tape recorder.     I also was a victim of this company as of May 1st 2017. My unemployment checks were deposited here. Silly me. After 2 deposits went to Krogers to draw money to pay rent. Checked online account while waiting in customer service line only to see that someone withdrew money from an atm clear across town. Now I checked my balance before going to Krogers which is about 3 min away from my home. All was there. Contacted them. The people who accessed my funds from an atm how is that possible when I had the only card and my pin no one knows? Files the dispute only to be told the same as one of the previous complainants that no error was found but under the F.D.I. C rules and regulations promises to protect my money. I also had to make arrangements with leading office and borrow money from family members to accommodate. Also contacted Green Dot bank which couldn't help.

    This company is a ripoff not to mention one of the reps told me yes they close cards. Asked the dispute team yeah right did they view cameras where this so called atm withdrawal and clearly I can't be in 2 places at one time. He told me they don't do all that. Well please tell me how you came up with the conclusion that it was no error found. Asked to provide me with what steps we're taking in this so called investigation and still today August 31st no documents have been received. My 500.00 dollars either!!! Netspend is much better and reliable. (Inside job definitely.)

    I had an AccountNow account. Customer services stated that they were notified that my card could have been compromised. So instead of them calling and checking with me to see if everything was ok, they then processed to cancel the card that I'm currently using where my direct deposit into and then sends the new card to an old address that I updated 2 years earlier and told me there is nothing they can do. I would have to pay $25 to get a new card within 3-5 days or I would have to wait for it to come in the mail. Nobody could answer where or how my card was compromised, they just cancel the card. I would never recommend this company to anyone. How the hell you hold my money? On some we got a notification that the card could be not for certain but could be compromised.

    I wanted to put some $$ from one account to my other account that my son had access to so he could eat. He had no money to get any food at all!!! He is a truck driver and his last paycheck was screwed up... THEY WILL NOT LET YOU MOVE $$ BETWEEN YOUR OWN ACCOUNTS AT ALL.     This is the worst company that I have ever done business with. I am 55 years old and have never been so angry with a company. 72 hours to release the hold on my card, I was told. I knew something wasn't right when I submitted my legal documents, but what choice did I have. The customer service is lousy and contains no answers. I accidentally called NetSpend and couldn't believe that I finally got a real professional person. Turned out to be the wrong company. Showed me that Account Now is the worst company ever. Still no update, or answers on the release of my card, no corporate number to call, nor no access to my $1,000. That they are collecting interest from. DO NOT GET OR USE THIS COMPANY'S CARD.     To make a long story short, I accidentally blocked one of my cards. I didn't know that would shut down my checking account as well. When I tried to speak with a rep, I was told that they couldn't reverse what an automated system did. What??? They can however, let me withdraw money from an ATM on some "one time only." B.s.     I made the mistake of loading $160.00 the first time using this card, it deducted 9.95 for its service fee and showed a balance of $140.00. Now I may not be a math genius but I'm pretty sure I was missing an additional $10.00. Now it may just be $10 but that's besides the point. When I called the customer service numbers there are absolutely no options to speak to an actual person. Their website just gives you a list of 3 P.O. boxes to write to, I did some digging and found out they were owned by Green Dot Inc. Great! I thought so I called them. They were unable to help me. The operator didn't even know how and told me to call back in 30 minutes. Long story short I was never able to speak to anyone about what happened and find out why this is a brand new card, there were no pending payments and even the transaction history shows my account going from 160 to 140 with only one transaction of 9.95 so it doesn't make any sense.

    I am canceling my account as soon as I get the rest of the money out. I have not had any issues with Green Dot in the past and they do have customer service but this Account Now is very unsafe. There is no one to help you at all. They have multiple numbers but all automated. I tried everything. I pressed every button. There's nothing. So DO NOT use this card, I got it after I saw a web ad with Samuel L. Jackson. Haha. Ya never buy into something because of a celebrity. Do your homework.

    My social security is deposited into their online bank. They locked my account because of failed attempts to access my account. It was me trying to get into my online account. I never carry my card. I am working out of town. They shut my account down because I wired myself emergency funds via MoneyGram. I have proven my identity. Via security questions multiple times. Faxed documents with acknowledgment receipts and they claim to never get them.

    They are an overseas boiler room operation that you can't get a manager to take a call. They have my money locked up and never once tried to notify me of suspicious activity. I reported both of my cards lost. Expedited replacement was futile. They still won't unlock my account. It takes two months to get social security changed. I'm livid, have no prevailing legal authority to complain and feel like they are my enemy rather than a bank earning trust and respect. I intend to find an attorney to file a lawsuit.

    I have been with AccountNow for quite a while now. I have not had many major issues, but the minor issue that I do have are hard to get resolved in a timely manner. My account was hacked and I called in to the customer service number, the same day. Informed them of the hack and they shut down my account and reissued me a new card. This all happened on 8/3. Here we are on 8/9 and I still do not have my card or my money back on my account. I have no way of getting my money out.

    Luckily, I called in yesterday to check on my dispute, I was informed that the dispute had not been filed yet. I asked, how is that when I called and spoke with someone on 8/3, they shut down my card and everything. Needless to say, that person did not file my dispute. So I had to go through the whole process all over again, even though I faxed my documents to the fax number on 8/7, they do not consider them to be uploaded until you actually use the upload method. Which is stupid, because why would you have the fax as an option, if you don't accept them or it takes longer that way. I uploaded my documents and was told that my dispute is not in progress. That is it. I have had it with this "bank". I'm going to start back using my traditional bank account where I am actually able to go into a branch and speak with a person face to face in case something like this happens.

    This is the first and the last time I will be using these people. Yes I should have read the reviews on these people first but I figured because they were from MetaBank just like Netspend everything would be fine. BOY WAS I WRONG. I had my tax refund put on my card mind you. I fought with the IRS to get my tax refund amended because everything was put in wrong. So it took me since Feb. to now to finally get things straightened out with the IRS.

    It is now August. I finally got my refund on the 26th of July. It is now August the 3rd. These no English speaking P.O.S put a hold on my money saying they need to verify my identity. Really. You know the IRS sent this money. You really think that they would not already have verified that I am really me before they sent me my money. But ok so I sent them the documents. They said 72 hours. Well it's been 72 hours. WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE A HOLD ON MY MONEY. I am a single parent of three toddlers with virtually no money right now because y'all won't release it.

    I've been using AccountNow since about 2009. I've had a few problems and account now always caught it, and shut down my card, and then sent me a new one. Ironically, since I relocated from Chicago to Indianapolis. This new one started on 7/19/17. A request by mail from "National Bank" for 1290.95 cents was permitted to be removed from my account, and then a card to card transfer for 500 dollars. I immediately contacted account now, and they shut down my bank account. So now, I have no way of getting my money out of the account, then, I sent in all the dispute forms they asked for to try and get my money back and they've told me they can not do anything for 10 more business days.

    They claim to be a FDIC, but they don't respect the FDIC laws. Also, my funds are protected by the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, and are supposed to be available to me within 3 days of the shutdown, but AccountNow is telling me I may never get that money back because the investigating party has received a dispute. Don't ever use this company! They are thieves! It's as if they have been bought out and are now selling people's information. Also, how about a customer service center where people don't have Indian/Pakistani dialects? Speaking to someone who is easy to understand would be nice.

    I've been with them for 11 yrs now. They allowed someone to purchase something for $200 at Best buy in Boston, then when I went to pay for car repair they said it had declined and I know I had money on it. I just got paid and the only thing I paid for was some tires. When I called the rep told me "he had to shut my account down until 3 pm Monday because it was the weekend," so I had to leave my car in the shop until I get the money which never happened but I still had to pay storage space and didn't get all my money back.

    Then AccountNow used to have a loan service where you could borrow money until payday and they stopped that. It was very helpful for people who was making ends meet, I have good card and they charge me $9.95 just to have the cars and it cost nothing no different than the regular card. When I ask to back to the old card he told me it didn't exist anymore so I'm stuck with it???

    I was asked to fax my driver's license, social security card and bank card to a designated number. I was informed the next day that items were received and no further action was needed. I called customer service and they confirmed the recorded info was correct and it would take 24 to 72 hours to release account. 72 hours later still nothing so I call customer service and more documents required and another 72 hours. Funds are there but I cannot access account even though I have the card in my possession because card is not accessible. No one to speak to in main office because they don't accept calls.

    I had this card for only a few months. They have froze my account twice due to many deposits. Wait what? Too many deposits? What the hell? I thought that's what these cards were for to upload money on them. Well according to them you can only make a very limited amount of deposits. Well I work for uber and I cash out every day at the end of my shift. They closed my account without even contacting me what kind of crap is that?     After having my wallet stolen, I contacted customer service. Instead of them cancelling my card and sending me another; my account was frozen and no access to my funds was available. This was due to the representative not being able to understand what I was saying (He mispronounced his own name!). When he was trying to enter my security questions into the system. I was then told I had to send in documents to prove my identity. Problem was my id was in my wallet along with my bank card, something I had already told the rep!

    After speaking with a supervisor I was told they would review the call and coach the rep on what he should have done if anything. What!? After about using this company for 10 years now they want to verify my identity? I was also told this would take 24-72 hours. I sent in the documents and decided to call everyday until my funds were released. I call the following day only to be told that if I do not hear from them by 7/3, please call them back. What?! That is a lot longer than 3 days!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

    First, I never received a card and when I called them to let them know they charged me 10 dollars for an replacement. Then I called to activate the new card and it read off 2 cards on my account and I pressed the menu to report a card never received and they blocked the new card I was activating. After talking to customer service I was informed that they would have to send me another card for 10 more dollars. I had my payroll deposited on this card and now I have to wait 7-10 business days to get access to my money. Later I tried to find out if my check was deposited to the card and they had blocked my online access stating that I can't access my account until I receive the new card. Please, if you can avoid using them I'd suggest that to everyone. Netspend is the best prepaid company I've every used!

    I lost my card on 6/20 and reported it lost through the automated system so not only do I not have access to my funds, I'm waiting on a new card, and on 6/23 a new card come in mail. So when I tried to activate it it wouldn't go through and I tried online and via phone so I gave up and called during business hours... just for them to tell me that was NOT my replacement card. It's the same card I had just sent because the one I reported lost was compromised which I don't understand how. And then they KEPT saying I ACCIDENTALLY reported the card lost and I called to report it lost intentionally because I couldn't find it so not only was the card I lost turned off so was the one they sent in the mail and wasn't allowed to be activated. So I was told I could either pay 25 dollars to expedite it which would be 3-5days or wait 7-10 days for the new one that was already in the mail to be sent.

    So how can I expedite something that is already sent out???? I went ahead and ordered a Walmart card because I'm very familiar with it and once I do get this card I will be canceling my service with them. I get paid and can't touch my money because there is NO other option to retrieve your money in a situation like this... be careful everyone!!!!

    My card was lost so I called for a new one (replacement card) and was told 7 to 10 business days. So I waited. Then, I didn't receive the card in which I was supposed to so they cancelled it and told me they could send me a new one. Another 7 to 10 business days, or they would cut me a check but I would have to wait another 7 to 14 days for it. I have money on there that I have worked for and I feel they are holding it. I have bills to pay and places to go. And that takes money that they are not going to let me borrow from their pockets in the meantime. I will never do direct deposit with them ever again!     I thought I would give the AccountNow Visa debit card a try. Little did I know, and part of it is my fault for not reading the fees very closely, that there were be a dollar fee every time I use my debit card. I was charged on Amazon an extra dollar, I was charged even when I used my pin, and I was also charged when it was ran as credit. It may not seem like much but who does not use their debit card almost everywhere now? I will be going back to my old prepaid debit card.

    I brought up the no surcharge ATM's around me the other day & proceeded to the closest one. It was supposed to be no surcharge, right sol. The ATM charged me $3 plus AccountNow charged me $2.50 for transaction. I called to see if I could get my $3 back since it was supposed to be no surcharge ATM. The guy, who I could hardly understand, told me that it was up to the store to charge the $3, little did he know I had already checked with the store & they told me that it was up to the card owner, which is AccountNow. Well anyway I didn't get my $3 back from anyone. They've changed the ATM's we're used to. I was only paying the $2.50 to AccountNow but now I'm paying a total of $5.50 for access to my own money. I don't think so.

    When my checks are deposited I'm going to withdraw every penny from my AccountNow account & open a bank account where my daughter banks. There are no fees for using the banks ATM's or anything as long as I get my statement electronically, so it's truly a fee free bank account. I'm telling AccountNow bye-bye & so long now. They will never get any of my business again & anyone that will listen to me I will advise them NOT to open an AccountNow account, they will RIP you off!!!

I try calling the Cust Serv number on the back of my card and after a long silence finally I get a message that says, "Your call cannot be completed as dialed. They sent out a new card with my direct deposit. When you call they consistently give you repetitious talk and will not answer your question you asked.     On May 1, 2017 my AccountNow card was compromised, I didn't realize it until I was in Walmart buying food for my kids. I get to the checkout and swipe my card only for it to decline. Knowing I had about $560.00 on my card. Needless to say I had to leave the store without my food. I proceeded to call the customer service number provided on my card and a woman which I could not understand told me to file an dispute. So I did.

    One whole week went by and I called back only for another rep to tell me I had to download some documents to the website. I did as asked. So a couple days pass and I call again only to be told that my dispute was closed without any reasons to why. I proceeded to ask to speak with a supervisor which whom couldn't tell me anything either. So now my blood begins to boil. I ask for a manager for him as well to tell me that he didn't know why and that a letter will be sent to me. The letter never came. So I call back to customer service and ask for a corporate number to be told they can't provide me with that, and that I would have to schedule for them to contact me. This company is a FRAUD! PERIOD. I need help to find out how can I obtain my monies from this so called company. What do I do?!

    AccountNow has deposited my brother's SSI check into an account and has it pending. When we call we never get a live agent to answer. We have contacted the Social Security office and has confirmed that his check was deposited on a certain date. After calling the number on the back of his card, to no avail have we spoken to a customer service LIVE PERSON as of today. This card service has been a disservice to us and my brother. We will be contacting an attorney to file charges with this company. We have five to six different prompts to choose from and none of them has given us a live person yet. Looking for a solution immediately.

    I am on hold again - this will be the 8th person I have been transferred to. I used the bill pay service and this is the 4th check that has been lost in the mail. I get conflicting stories from each rep I have had to speak with. They say I have to wait 90 days and it's been about 80 days. So I have to put a stop payment and be charged $200.00 each lost check and then I should be refunded in 10 business days. WOW. That really makes sense. Account now is the biggest FRAUD. Beware and do not open an account. If you don't believe, read the thousands of other complaints. This company needs to be shut down!!!!

Asked for a supervisor serial time and the young lady kept repeating the same thing over and over sounding like a robot so I tell her again "Ma'am I'd like to speak to a supervisor." she hung up???

    I had been with AccountNow for years. On February 12, 2017 my card was compromised. It was useless trying to contact anyone on Sunday so the next day I contacted AccountNow. It was more like pulling a hard boiled egg thru my nose. They were not helpful at all. After explaining to them that my paycheck was on this card and that someone on the west coast was using my card while I was trying to use my card in a store here on the east coast. They had me to download applications to send in. This was done like three times and I kept calling to check on the status.

    Finally on week two I was told they could not find anything wrong so they canceled my dispute. So not only was I robbed by whoever on the west coast but now I am being robbed again by AccountNow. The remaining monies that was on my card they canceled that card and I can't touch it. Now a month later I am still trying to figure out what's going on. I am being told to again send in yet another application along with my drivers license and social security number. Also the customer service representative told me if I go into a store to purchase something with him online he will unlock my card so that I can use the money. Now this is very interesting because if he told me that then guess what? Those idiots may have told the thief the same thing to compromise my card. I will never do business with this company again.

    I usually get my direct deposit at 5 am the day before or day of I get paid by my employer... which is in a Thursday or Friday. It is now Sat. 1 1230 am CST... and I still didn't get my deposit from my employer which was sent on Wed. I wish that I could reach through the phone and slap these reps. I want to know where my money is? No one is going to pay my late fees on my bills. Don't use this card service. I sat on the phone for 2 hrs waiting on a rep. If I wanted a sup I got placed back on hold for I don't know how long then hung up on. I am canceling all of it.

    I've had an account with them for about 10 years. And let me tell you if you have an issue it's going to be a pain in the ** to get the issue resolved. Long story short I called 2 months ahead of time before my ATM was going to expire, 1st card got sent back for some unknown reason, 2nd card I had them change my address to my UPS box and that got sent back because they failed to put in my box number, 3rd time calling to update once again to have them put in my box number and now waiting on it again! Not to mention now my current card is expired.

    So after hanging up with the person who couldn't even speak English I tried to log online to make sure she got my correct address. I couldn't! Because they now RESTRICTED MY ONLINE ACCESS!!! This is super frustrating!! I have 2 deposits coming in within the week and I won't be able to access nothing all because these illiterate fools don't understand a lick of English! There is NO SUPERVISOR!! Just an FYI. Their call center isn't based in the US. Bunch of Filipinos, you're lucky if you could even understand them! I'm so done with them!!

    I have been with AccountNow since 2006 (but actively used the card since 2008 when I got my Tax Refund deposited on the card). When I tell you that I have had hardly ANY issues with this card until recently I am not lying. Other than card updates, I never contacted them for anything even though I know other people who have had issues with their cards. This is where things went downhill quickly. When I ended up getting my card "phished" (apparently someone used a scanner and took all the money off my card) I called to let them know what happened and they decided to send me another card. When I first talked to their Customer Service department (I'll get on them later on) the rep said that if they were able to get my money back I would be able to immediately get it back. Well they did indeed get my money back BUT I had to file a dispute for MY OWN MONEY which pushed things back another week.

    The stupid postmaster here in my town here in Mississippi (Sunflower) sent my card back because it used a physical street address instead of a post office box so that's another 10 business days. Well I decided to order ANOTHER card and tried to do it online. Well if you don't have a CVC code you can't do it online (remember I never got my new card so I only have my old card that got compromised). Called their Customer Service and instead of the Customer Service rep saying that the questions she was asking me was my security questions, she implied that these were new questions for the new card so when I missed one of the questions it locked me out of my account AGAIN and I had to upload documents proving my address. Well after 3 days they FINALLY got around to verifying the documents but didn't contact me until AFTER they sent the new card so I couldn't get the card expedited.

    They never called me during any of these instances despite asking for my number numerous saying they would contact me. Customer service for AccountNow is among the worst I've ever dealt with. I'm not against non-US citizens working at all but if it is ONE area where it is REQUIRED it is Customer Service where the customers primarily speak English. Even if someone with a country accent like myself from Mississippi were speaking with someone from NYC we would understand each other. When you have reps that are sticking to a script and barely grasping the language you can see why the reputation for their Customer Service is validated with how bad it is. Once I get my new card I am taking all my money out and making my secondary card the main card I use. I didn't know that Green Dot had purchased AccountNow which only will push me away from them even faster. It was a nice run but I can't deal with them anymore.

    I had my tax refund deposited to this account on Mar 8th. They froze my account on Sun and I called Mon. They requested documents and I sent those. They told me the issue would be resolved within 24-72 hrs. As of 7 pm central time 72 hrs later they still haven't released the money. I may be able to help others... if you will file a complaint with the attorney general in your local state and the state of California also call Visa and file a complaint @www.bbb.org online. For the state of CA you probably get your money. My advice to anyone is never open a account with AccountNow, Green Dot or MetaBank. Also never use any card that's not FDIC backed.

    I had my money deposited on to my AccountNow card thru Green Dot & they placed a block on my card. Told me to send in verification documents which I did. I waited for three weeks before they told me they approved my documents but couldn't lift the block but they were going to mail me a check which would take an additional 2 weeks! VERY INCONVENIENT and INCONSIDERATE. They keep saying there is nobody I can talk to above them which sounds like a scam. I have my entire income tax just on the card that I can't touch! I will be contacting my lawyer. Something is not right.

    My goodness where to start, I've had this card for right about 2 years, I've had nothing but problems since the beginning. Why did I stay so long? Well it's really important for me to get my money when I need it and the only thing this company did 85% of the time was allow my check to get deposited two days early but even sometimes that went wrong. I try to get people chances to prove they are worth me keeping their service and keep my life as simple as possible but after today I had enough. I can say every single time Ive had to call customer service they were 100% absolutely no help. They never offer to go above and beyond. They never offer to "see what they can do". They never offer to escalate the case. They never offer anything at all.

    I've never had my money disappear but I have a young daughter and I'm very busy and distracted majority of the time so I have lost my card a couple times. So the times before I call of Course they can't help get my money off my account and the times I thought I lost my card and then found it they never would reactivate it. So again I lose my card today. I call automated system, say I want my card expedited and yes I'm willing to pay the stupid fee 25$ to have it expedited but still had to wait 30 minutes to talk to someone even though I verified through the system, got to a rep who tells me I chose to do standard mail. 10 business days.

    Seriously? Now I know for a fact that I selected expedited. Nothing haven't offered to try and change it and didn't offer to get me another card. Nothing. Just sorry wait 10 business days. Immediately canceled my direct deposit from my job to this card. I cannot stress enough - please find another prepaid card. They charge monthly fees and won't help you at all. They limit your amount you can withdraw. My limit was 300 and my rent is 825. Ha yeah so if I need to pay that I have to withdraw the money a bit everyday! Just ridiculous. I'm so done with this company.

    This is the worst company, they have blocked my fiancé card for some unknown reason stating he had excessive usage but we have been with them for two years and it's always something. Now they have basically took over $5000 and we have sent in all verification that they asked for but they always seem to come up with different things.     I am a user of the AccountNow card when it was owned by Metabank. I had no issues over past 2 years. I recently find out that Green Dot has taken ownership. I am furious they have blocked several of my relatives' cards with their tax refund checks on them... I myself had a issue with them 3 years ago when I purchased a reloadable Green Dot card to send my granddaughter money for her junior dues of 200$... I purchase it at Walgreens. Once I arrived at work 20 minutes later my $200.00 was gone without a trace...

    Long story short it took me 30 days to get my money after faxing verification, being accused of letting a family member have the pin #, also they said they never received my fax which I sent over and over again repeatedly 6 times... Finally I had enough and I threatened to call the news media and get them involved. They released my money immediately to my debit card I gave them but I had to go through pure hell. They are thieves at Green Dot. Do not use anything associated with these people unless you want somebody to rip you off. I will be closing my card. They don't have to cause I will gladly do it for them. Whatever happened to Metabank. These Green Dot folks sucks...

    I really should have read these reviews before I used this card (I'm really trying my hardest not to curse). I get my tax money on the card. I tried to buy some furniture. Swipe the card, didn't work. Went to atmosphere, didn't work. The only thing I could do was cash back. I had to do it a lot of times to get the right of money and because I did that they put a restriction on my account. Now I have to send in documents proving that I'm me. This is the most horrible card company ever. I wish there was a way to put them out of business. People shouldn't have to go through this for the own dam money.

    I'd found AccountNow in an online article about ways to transfer funds between people. I was looking for something like Google Wallet, but to be used with someone who does not have a bank account or other major bank debit card, in order to receive the money. This article claimed that Account Now is a way to transfer funds between people. My friend and I, between applying, waiting, setting up online account, activating card and finally finding out the truth, spent hours directly and more waiting time on this. We finally found out that the AccountNow card cannot be used to transfer funds between people. The company only wants to receive directly deposited paychecks, benefit checks, and tax refund checks, besides cash reloads at physical locations. If my friend and I had a joint account in another institution, we could transfer funds, but it would take days! I would like this card not to be misrepresented as a vehicle for transfers between people.

    I've had AccountNow for a few years. It was really good. I got my deposits a few days early, my tax refund always came a week before the actual due date, and they showed pending deposits. Well, I had to replace my card and got a brand new card with a new account. It was issued by green dot bank. IT FREAKING SUCKS!!! Do not waste your time using AccountNow.

    The card I had before was issued by MetaBank and let me tell you, I had absolutely ZERO problems then. If you want a good prepaid card switch over to NETSPEND. You pay $5 a month if you get direct deposit (which is hell of a lot better than $9.95). AccountNow customer service SUCKS. Good luck finding someone who doesn't speak broken English and doesn't understand what you're saying. They basically tell you some generic BS. I am warning you guys DO NOT LET THESE CROOKS HANDLE YOUR MONEY. NetSpend or use a regular bank. DO NOT USE ACCOUNTNOW. They are not the same as they used to be.

    I had a hard time getting my money from the IRS and when I saw they deposit it and I thought they was go send me a paper check but something told me to call IRS, they told me that my money was on a card (my mother in law did my taxes) so I didn't see nothing of it. She give me numbers to call to see which card holder had my money. Finally found out. Im getting happy thinking "one more step till I have it." I called accountnow, they told me send over info stating I'm the person so I did with no problem. I BEEN SENDING THINGS OVER GOING ON 3 MONTHS NOW!!!

    After having a AccountNow account for the past 2 years and prior. My account was hacked by someone using the email address: **. All that changed within a 24 hour period after signing into my account yesterday. I tried to login and now my password didn't work. So I clicked on forgot my password and an unknown email address shows up. Come to find out that someone deposited two amounts and then transferred the money to another account.

    I am very upset, because the representative said all my information has been compromised and that they were cancelling my card and that I would not be able to open another account. And the Indian customer service representative said "so sorry." Like no one was going to investigate the matter. Can someone tell me who I need to contact in order to report them and make a complaint. Unbelievable!!! I am so glad I did not have any money in my account. But so much was linked to that account. What else do I need to watch out for?

    I called customer service in regards to a company signing me up for an autoship program for a product without notification and couldn't find a way to contact them and wished to cancel the upcoming payment. Simple enough request. Somehow the representative took this to mean that my card had been compromised, despite me stating that it wasn't the case, and put a hold on my account. She then told me she couldn't undo it without me submitting proof of ID and residence to correct this.

    I explained that due to severe health problems and hospitalizations that my information was incorrect and I hadn't updated it. I talked to two other people and they said they couldn't do anything other than me updating my information or start a process of returning my recent electronic disability deposit and sending it to me (or see if they will send to another account with a different company, of course) all because of their mistake and this is after being with them for several years.

    I put money on their card one time to pay my MetroPCS phone bill. So I go home and then they tell me to wait 24 hours. So I do. Then I pay my phone bill online. It comes back invalid card. So I wait for 30 mins and try online again. Still invalid card. So I call AccountNow. They tell me it's not them. They can see on my account. They tell me to call MetroPCS. So I drive 15 miles to a gas station. They run the card for 5 dollars. It won't go through. Remind you all online or show I have $30.05 in my account. I drive back home. Call AccountNow back. They can't even see where I tried at the gas station. And they can only see where I tried one time at my MetroPCS. So I call MetroPCS. Me and MetroPCS try 7 more times. Then the guy from MetroPCS 3-way called AccountNow. And we spent 1 and a half hours on the 3-way call. Remind you all all this time my phone is off. I have to narrow a home.

    AccountNow tell MetroPCS it's their fault. They fight so much about it's not them. The guy from MetroPCS put me and AccountNow on hold so he could have his boss sit it. At the end of this MetroPCS turned my phone back on and have me 2 days to pay them. AccountNow tell me there is nothing wrong. You know $30.05 is not a lot of money but. MetroPCS fought AccountNow for 1 and a half hours for me. AccountNow said they can't see a problem so there is nothing I can do. I'm at this point I'm on fire mad at AccountNow.

    I hope this helps someone stay away from AccountNow. If you want to give your money away please give it some that needs it. Not those crooks at AccountNow. Now I got money on this card I can not get back. I'm a hard working living paycheck to paycheck American. I got passed around to 6 people there at AccountNow. None of which could speak more than 4 words of English. I'm not racist at all people.

    I received an AccountNow prepaid card in the main. I loaded it at one of the vendors that it had on the list they sent with the card. Now I cannot access my money because they have no proof of my identity. Every time I call I get a laundry list of things I need to do in order to verify. Why did they take my $800 with no proof, but now I can't access my money? I have been fighting this a year now and I am no closer to getting my money back.

    Please do NOT use this card. They are scam. I'm in the process of suing for $124.00 they owe me that they refuse to refund back to my account. On Dec 13th 2016 I arranged a bill payment for $124.00 for my auto loan I had. Did the bill pay option which is easier for me because I live in FL and my car loan is in PA. They claim I had put the wrong account number which was false. I confirmed the same account number with the bank which is the same account I been using for 2yrs now. I got a call from the bank on Christmas eve saying they never received my payment. Instantly I called AccountNow and they have been running me in circles since then.

    I have been calling every 2-3 days since Dec 25, 2016 and they keep saying the same thing that they notified higher management and the funds will be redeposit into my account and they will be contacting me. I have heard nothing. Not only did they manage to give me a red flag on my credit for my car loan because it was drastically late, I had to pay it with car insurance money. Now my insurance was cancelled because they won't refund me back my money. You can't get nowhere with customer service and they a rip off and just a scam. Don't use them because now I have to waste more time and money to sue them to get my hard earned money back.

    On 13/19/16 I submitted a routing and checking account number provided to me by AccountNow to my payroll administrator to supply funds for a prepaid debit card I had used once by loading money. On 12/23/2016 my funds were disburse 900.00 going to the checking account number provided to me by AccountNow. Green Dot bank. My payroll administrator, Paylocity tracked to the bank and filed it as deposited. On 12/23/2016, I tried to check the balance and found that the cash was not there. After 5 calls to AccountNow, being looped through the prompting for 3 hours, I finally got to speak to a agent. I was informed that there was no record of the fund being deposited. After stating that my payroll administrator tracked and confirmed that the funds was in Green Dot bank. I was told there was nothing they could do until they got instructions from my administrator.

    I asked to have the instruction outline and I would contact my payroll. They just said they needed instructions and would not say more. I explained that the account was Green Dot bank and there was no reason for my payroll to contact them. This agent just stated there was nothing she could do without instructions. When speaking with another agent, she stated they need confirmation from Green Dot. And the scam started to become apparent. I called Green Dot Bank. Not recognizing my SSI number, they would not talk to me. 15 hours later and a dozen calls, I realized my Christmas was not going to happen. Not sleeping for 2 days I went online and researched AccountNow, Green Dot and agencies to report to. Being Christmas everyone was closed. I filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Hisense emails to both Green Dot and AccountNow.

    On Tuesday I was told by an AccountNow representative I should not have tried to contact Green Dot. Green Dot disavow any knowledge of AccountNow. Fast forward to Friday 12/30/2016. My funds were still not available and still have not been acknowledged. So being totally frustrated I asked to have my account closed and delete it. They argued with me and would not close it initially. After they told me it was closed I asked for a confirmation to be sent to my email. I was informed that they could not do that. Totally belligerent and frustrated at this time I asked to have it sent to my phone text message. She agreed to do so, but the message was "we are sorry. We cannot comply with your wishes at this time."

    I log back in and discovered my account was still not closed or deleted. It was still open and active and the funds were still not on my debit card. As a matter of fact my debit card had accrued a negative balance because they had initiated a service charge. To my surprise a brand new AccountNow prepaid debit card showed up in the mail. Downloading recording apps and encrypted business file apps I've compiled comprehensive report on both AccountNow and Green Dot. Peeling back the layers came up with corporate Green Dot email corporate AccountNow concierge email. Green Dot respond immediately and gave me two numbers to contact AccountNow but earlier in the week they disavow any knowledge of them.

    As of today January 1 2017 the issue is still not resolved. I still have not received my payroll from over a week ago and I've decided to filed with the Federal Trade Commission and any other agencies that make police this type of online Internet money laundering scams. The Better Business Bureau was quite interested when I file a report with him because they have been on record since 2006.

    In summary it's never good 2/2 money taken or scam from you or your identity stolen but because of the sensitive time of the year it made the situation disastrous. I offer my past experience as a testimony to the sophisticated, erudite companies preying on millions of citizens, blatantly stealing their money. NetSpend, AccountNow, Green Dot and many others are symbiotic in the pursuit of exploration of a certain economic class - Maybe circumventing the regular banking system. As of 1/1/17 I have not discovered the whereabouts of my 900.00.

    We had our tax refund deposited on this card in Feb. 2016. We have yet to receive it. They had asked for verification several times and we have forwarded this to them on 4 different occasions by two different processes. They are still holding the funds claiming they cannot identify my husband's identity. Now when we call, it doesn't even go through. It automatically disconnects the call. I'm urging anyone who reads this to please join with me in starting a class action suit. Not only have my husband and I been affected, but also our friends whom we recommended this card too.

    Updated on 01/18/2017: I was contacted by them on here to resolve the issue. All they did was the exact same thing. They started the runaround about proving our identity. My husband says he isn't sending them any more personal information and they said we could ask the IRS to request the money back. Well the IRS won't do it because the original deposit amount isn't in the account. I'm going forward with legal repercussions. This has been going on for a year now. They are not trying to resolve anything. It's a waste of time. I urge you all to take legal repercussions on Top Class Actions. We need to join together, get our money back, and shut this scam of company down. They have gotten people for millions.

    I have two jobs, and had both companies load my direct deposit on my Account now prepaid Visa card. On the Friday after Thanksgiving 2016, I had two direct deposits added to my account. I checked my balance in the morning, and about two hours later, I checked again, and noticed my balance dropped by over $500, and I had not left my home. I called company and found out there were two cash advances of over $500 made on my account at the same location over 30 miles from my home. I disputed these charges, and sent in the proper paperwork, and was told they cannot do anything to help me. Please stay away from this company. Customer service is in India, and they do not speak English very well, and the worst part is that they will let people steal your money. Stay away.

    AccountNow is the worst prepaid card I ever use in over 30 years. I set up account with them. The lady on the other end of the phone call put the wrong name on my account. When I address this issue they told me I had to send in documents to verify my name. I jump through hoops trying to get this done for five days. I received a email from someone, somewhere stating that it was the direct deposit department fax my ID, and ss# over to later find out this wasn't account now fax number.

    The company that sent me the email had my account number and email address that they only could have got from account now. They froze my account so I can't even get my money off the card. But they manage to take the $9 for the services fee. Card still frozen even after I sent my verification over to them because the department that deals with this matter only do so on weekdays.

    Account now is the worst prepaid service ever. DON'T I REPEAT DON'T USE THIS SERVICE. It a waste of time. They have no idea how to run a business. They are careless with your information that you give them over the phone. They put whatever name they want on your account then make your life a living hell for their mistake. I WILL NEVER USE ACCOUNTNOW AGAIN. And I'm looking into taking legal matters on this company. They shouldn't even be able to keep doing the things they're are doing to people. This company need to be force out of business. Very anger, very unsatisfied new customers. Account now big waste of time.

    I was with AccountNow for almost 4 years. Over those years I had my account hacked 2-3 times. The last account that I had with them, I filed a dispute and after doing so, I received a new card. A few days later they closed my account without any notification of them doing so which resulted in my bills not getting paid and late fees kept accumulating. I advise to EVERYONE not to choose to do business with AccountNow or Ready Debit, both are with the same bank. Please, do your research before you choose a prepaid card company.

A duplicate card was made in Arizona and someone made fraudulent transactions at various Fry's stores throughout Arizona, this drained my account. I immediately canceled my two jobs direct deposits... However, AccountNow has NOT responded, nor have they refunded my money, and now my bills have gone unpaid on time, and accruing charges for late fees, they were set up on Auto-renewal. I have filed all the necessary claims: Bancorp fraud claims, Police Reports, Claim of Identity theft with the Federal Trade Commission, and with the Consumer Protection agencies... Next is the BBB.

    I would like to gather information from all consumers that have had similar or the same experience with missing money through fraud while banking with Bancorp Bank using any of their Prepaid accounts. You must have had the following occur: Fraud by identity theft, stolen account numbers where you still had your card in possession. NO restitution made by Bancorp Bank. NO communication by Risk/LP departments regarding your case of Fraud. Lost funds, and with no FDIC reimbursement by Bancorp Bank.

    I am in the process of building a Class Action suit against Bancorp Bank... We as consumer must fight back again Fraud and hold our Financial institutions accountable for our privacy and make them stand up for their product, its quality and security of our sensitive information. Bancorp DOES have each consumer's Address/phone numbers/Social Security numbers/Date of Births in their Archives... We run a Massive risk of being compromised and opened up to security breaches. Let's STOP this now and get our Money back... They must acknowledge.     I filed dispute almost 2 months ago... the final review has passed. Every time I call it's the same thing - "We will have someone call you back." I call every day and they say the same thing. I called the company I disputed and they said the returned the money 2 weeks ago. You can't be transferred to the dispute department. This is ridiculous. Also didn't know I'm being charged $1.00 each charge. $2.50 fee for using my account number to pay bills. I will using different company with my direct deposit asap.

    I called to ask where my replacement card was since mine was set to expire next month. After 10 minutes of one automated option menu to another I evidently pressed the wrong number to what I thought would get me someone to speak to but evidently reported my card lost instead. Soon after I was notified that my card was deactivated. When I finally got someone to talk to they basically refused to help me saying there was nothing they could do which means that I cannot access my money for 5-7 days until the new card arrives... GREAT. Paycheck gets deposited and I can't access my money or pay my bills. (But yet the deposit will go through????). Oh... But I could expedite the replacement card for $25.00. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If they won't help a loyal customer.

    I received my first check quickly and now this month I guess they are not issuing my check early. I watch everybody get their funds but me early. This card is a lost cause. I only had it for a month and I'm ready to switch it already. When I speak to someone over the phone all they tell me is they haven't received my deposit. Bull crap. They make it hard to even talk to the customer service dept. DO NOT GET THIS CARD. A RIP OFF. THEY SHOULD NOT ADVERTISED 2 DAYS EARLY. BS.

    I would advise anyone using account now to not. They have hidden fees that they don't tell you about as well as money mysteriously disappears out of accounts. Well mine at least. When I went to speak to an actual customer service representative I was never able to. I called 9 TIMES!!! Garbage, straight garbage!!

    Well these guys are the absolute worst. Disgraceful customer service... Overcharge fees constantly... Lock your funds whenever they feel like because they have no security. Go to NetSpend or one of the other prepaids before using this one. AccountNow is GREEN DOT... HORRIBLE... Walmart money cards and these I would strongly recommend to STAY AWAY from. A representative even swore over the phone at me saying... "maybe you should keep good credit then **"... LMAO. Hilarious and ignorant. Don't even start to describe these scam artist cheats.

    I been with AccountNow four years having SSI direct deposit on my card. So one day they going to put a lock on my card cause I went out of town. When I came back in town I could not get my money cause they thought someone stole my card so they going to tell me to send a verification of my address so they can know it's really me using my card. I had to pay my rent. They would not give me my money. They are crooks. Once I get my money I would never go back to them. If they don't give me my money they will be seeing me in court.
