I took my frame into the Palma Cleveland store to have new lenses fitted. When they came back they were not my original flames The records they had were not mine. The rude manager insisted I had these frames for 2 years. I should know what I had been wearing. He would not listen and asked me to leave the store, $860 dollars for frames I cannot wear as they were wrap around my ears which sets off a problem.

I can’t believe that it’s been over four weeks since I had my eye exam with Pearle Vision and still haven’t gotten my eye glasses. When I call them it’s one excuse after another. Lesson learned. Will definitely check out the reviews first. Oh my exam was on 10/20/2025 and they submitted the claim to my insurance company, Pearle Vision received the payment on 10/27/2025. But yet I’m still waiting for a call from them to confirm my eye glasses are ready. Again I can’t believe the long wait and poor customer service. Never again.

The absolute rudest employees saying we had to fill in our paperwork online even after I wasn’t able to fill out the online paperwork because I was told that I couldn’t sign in even though I didn't have an account as-well. I was late to a 4:20 appointment and they said that I had a 10 minute window and I got there at 4:27 and the lady said no and then another 2 ladies said no, that they cancelled my appointment because I was late and didn't have the time for contacts. Then I asked to get glasses instead and they said I should-have been here 20 minutes earlier and said I couldn’t be seen today. And I left and said I won’t be there again.

The appointment was fine. Got my glasses as expected. But when they broke, I tried to reach the clinic to see if my insurance would replace them. The phone number just leads to voicemail, and the online form gave me no response at all. It's been two weeks since I requested assistance online, and the only reply I've received is some AI/form mail about having received my question. I'd go to another clinic if more were covered by my insurance. Private healthcare is the worst.

Arlington Heights location. My visit with Dr. Steve ** was excellent — he is very professional and takes the time to answer all my questions. However, I was very disappointed with the business practices of the office staff. There was no written or verbal disclosure of a “no refund” policy before they charged my card. I only discovered the policy printed on the back of the invoice after I had already paid.

The next day, I called to cancel my order because I decided to purchase lenses at Costco Vision Center, where the prices are much more reasonable. I was then told that no refunds were allowed. This feels misleading and unfair. I would not recommend ordering products from Pearle Vision due to their lack of transparency and high prices.

If there is negative star, I should give this poor healthcare service shop. They are just doing glass business, not an appropriate service. Last year went there. Dr. give me (actually my whole family) glasses. That glass makes me worse in vision. They corrected lenses and give me another one. That also same situation. They said they put something to correct my astigmatism. It never makes me better. This year I went again. They give me another prescription lens, or even Dr prescribe me for sunglasses! Same story. I compared the recent glass with my glass I got 2 years back from another place. The old one is much better and comfortable than their glasses what they give last year and this year.

I called the shop, same solution... I have to make appointment, which is 1 week later, they will send this lenses to correct back bla..bla bla... and it took almost 2.5 months last year to get my glass after I paid for it. This year it is also going same way...They do not have any faster solution., and every year they will change lenses, which costs me ~$800 for whole family. Please be aware that they are basically GLASS SHOP...NOT A RELIABLE EYE HEALTH CARE SERVICE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP.... I am looking for appropriate way to complain about this service..If anyone knows where to complain, please let me know....It will really help others...

They told me in order my my transition to work i have to be in the sun. Not in the sunlight but in the sun. They didn't offer to correct them or satisfy the customer instead told me to put them in the freezer for 30min. They acknowledge the transition had a hard time changing. But didn't offer to redo them. After all the money I spent. I will NEVER go back there as I told them why. They trying to over talk me to explain instead of customer satisfaction. Terrible. If you value your money. DON'T GO TO PEARL'S VISION.

My whole purpose of getting transitions was lost and then they had the nerve to say "Yes you will need to get sunglasses. When the last company I dealt with said and did just the opposite. As the last company fixed them so while I'm driving the sunlight did not come through because that's the way they set them. To help a customer not to make customer spend more money.. Don't Go. It's not about customer satisfaction.

My local Pearle Vision store in Bridgewater Falls, Hamilton, Ohio has the most incompetent employees, including manager and owner. I ordered eyeglasses more than a month ago and they have not been received nor have they provided me a response on when they will be in. When checking on them, they do not call back when they say they will and are very rude. I have had to deal with very blurry eyes this entire time and am very frustrated. I did not know before going to them that they have very bad reviews locally on their website where other customers are having the same situations happening where they are also not receiving their orders. Someone needs to shut them down. They will not refund their customers for their orders either. I am still working to get a refund and am not getting a response. This is not a good look for Pearle Vision overall. I will never go to another Pearle Vision store again!

I can describe my local Pearle Vision location in Watertown, NY like this: incompetent, no integrity, and no empathy. I went to this location in person (with my husband, as we were in town) to make an appointment for an eye exam. I spent 10 minutes giving my new patient information (name, email, phone, insurance, etc.) to the employee and she scheduled me for a couple weeks out. I put it in my calendar right then and was looking forward to my eye exam to get new glasses.

Fast forward to my appointment today. I showed up with lots of time to spare (she'd told me to be 15 minutes early) and not only did they not have an appointment for me, they didn't even have me in the system! I pointed out the employee who had booked me to the person who was at the front counter, and she said she remembered me and our conversation, but then tried to gaslight me saying we "never actually booked an appointment" and "were just talking about it", rather than having the integrity to own up to whatever mistake led to my appointment not being saved in the system. I guess I hallucinated giving her all my info and made up the date in my head. Must have been a mass hallucination as my husband remembers it the same. I'm addition to dad, her response was absolutely zero empathy, just a very flat, "oh, well, sorry, we can rebook you for July".

What kind of customer service is that after you've cost someone time and money (time off work, gas, etc.) due to your incompetence? The least that should happen in such a situation is taking responsibility by admitting your mistake, apologizing sincerely, and seeing what it is you can do to make that right, like (for example) checking with the doc to see if that customer could be squeezed in, or offering some kind of discount. This employee did absolutely nothing. She tried to gaslight me into believing I was never scheduled, smirked at me, and offered to book me for sometime in July. As if there's any guarantee I would actually be scheduled this time and not just wasting my time again. I tried to nicely send this to just corporate but the email submission form on the website doesn't work, at least not on mobile. Can't say I'm surprised.

Worst experience I’ve ever had here at 14110 N Pennsylvania Ave Oklahoma City OK 73134. I waited nearly 4 weeks for my glasses which were the wrong frames when I finally got them. Apparently nobody bothered to check before mounting the lenses onto the wireless frame. Then, when I tried them on my vision was changed to slant up & to the right. The person assisting me tried to say it was my “astigmatism” which I’ve NEVER had a problem with nor should I suddenly have this crazy slanted vision when I put on glasses supposed to IMPROVE my vision! She’s not the Dr, either! Yet she diagnosed me??? Incredible! I got a refund & I won’t be going back. Terrible service & lies.

I purchased two pairs of eyeglasses in April, the frames are nice but the lens constantly fogs up and smudges. The center replaced a pair due to the a lens coming loose. The plastic or material they use for lens seems cheap. I paid close to 1,000. and I am unhappy. I misread words due to fogging and I am wearing my old pair of glasses. They have nice frames, but I do not recommend them for lens. I constantly clean them.

Scam alert! I went to the Pearle Vision on Lake Street a few months back. I got an eye exam and got a prescription reading glasses from them. Paid over $600 out of pocket. So far, the service was ok. Their lines are long, there is always ONE receptionist who is always answering the phone, and appointments are always behind. Fast forward to today when my frame broke. I went in wanting to purchase a frame. I talked to the same guy who sold me the first frame. I showed him my frame, and immediately, he shook his head and said that they do NOT carry that brand at all. I told him I NEVER set foot in another place. I only came because my frame broke. He insisted that I swapped out their frame, an Armani one apparently, with an over the counter one.

First of all, I did NOT even know you could do that! Second of all, it made no sense to me. He kept arguing with me and asking me to bring the Armani one. Then, he mentioned the INSURANCE which I did NOT even know I had. Needless to say, he refused to believe me and accused me over and over again- not ONCE entertaining the idea they could have given me the wrong frame. I never seen anything like it. I ended up buying a new frame from them. I will NEVER go back and will deter ANYONE from going back. In summation, they sold me an Armani glasses, swapped for a generic one, gave me the wrong frame and denied it. I don't even care about the insurance because I didn't even know I had it. WORST customer service EVER!

I have been a Pearle Vision customer for over 25 years at the Eden Prairie and Chaska, MN locations. In November 2024, I moved and the Coon Rapids, MN location was the closest one for me to go to. When I called to schedule, staff were friendly and helpful... I will also say that the provider who assisted me with selecting new frames was helpful. That is where the 1 star goes too. The optometrist I saw suggested that I didn't even need glasses based on my exam, which I contested and questioned as I have always needed glasses. She encouraged me to order glasses with the new "unnecessary" prescription anyway in order to "crisp things up". 2 sets of progressive lens eyeglasses later (regular and sunglasses) $$$$ I left.

The regular glasses were broken when I picked them up and needed to be reordered. After that, I went back for adjustments twice, they tightened things up and told me that it will take time to adjust to the lenses. I did not find them to be helpful or friendly, instead I felt as though I was inconveniencing them. It did not get better, but honestly I didn't want to go back and was going to try to wait it out for the year and go to an entirely different provider for a new script and lenses when my benefits reset. This fall, as the days were shortening and there was less light, I found it harder and harder to wait. I went back to try and determine a solution. I was initially told that it was likely due to my age (50) and that the discrepancies in my vision would balance out once I was 55 by the store manager.

She even told me a story about how some of her friends my age just choose to limit their activities in the evenings particularly because of it and maybe I should consider that. She suggested that the prescriptions that I had earlier were actually "overcorrecting" and giving me "supervision" which was not something they did at this location. She set me up with the owner, Tim **, who is also an optometrist and told me he would be able to explain the "aging eye thing" better and also help me find a solution in terms of replacement lenses/glasses to address my concerns.

I saw him Dec. 14th, and sure enough my prescription was not strong enough. He was not willing to provide a solution or acknowledge that the previous script was potentially off and did not say anything about my "aging eyes". He told me he would have to speak with his store manager about options. I told him she told me the same thing about him and he smirked and said "Yes...that is because I am the owner. I am not open to making any decisions today or until I speak with her." So I left. I have left three messages for the store manager since that appointment and have not gotten any response. The people on the phone have been friendly and empathized with my situation. One made sure to move my message to the top of her messages when she returned. I have not received a phone call. It is unfortunate that after 25+ years of being a loyal Pearle Vision consumer that this is the experience that will put an end to that.

The two receptionists, both with dark hair—one with glasses and the other with shorter hair and glasses—completely lost their composure when I asked a simple question about billing. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, one of them became hysterical, crying and screaming at me. It was surreal and disturbing. She even slammed papers down, which made the situation feel incredibly hostile. I’ve never had an experience like this at any medical office.

I have to wonder if there was an underlying racial bias in the way they treated me because their reaction was disproportionate and unprovoked. The doctor and the other staff member were kind and professional, but these two receptionists’ behavior was absolutely unhinged. I had to threaten to call the police to calm the situation down, and I’ll never be coming back here again because of them. They seriously need help or training in basic customer service and emotional regulation.”
