I tried StubHub to buy tickets for concerts for me and my family. I thought it worked well and I had great experiences. That was ten years ago. Fast forward to today: I was "window shopping" for tickets for a concert in another state as a surprise for my son. The two day concerts, same venue and band, were not sold out on the band's site. So I was looking around to see what was available. I X-ed out of the StubHub website and immediately saw an email from StubHub "Congrats! You purchased the tickets?" WHAT?! So I immediately live chatted SH Customer Service. The rep asked me how I was looking -- using phone app? Computer? She said "depending on how you were looking at the website, I can help you".

I figured they must have issues with their apps, but I was honest and told the truth: I had been looking at the site on my home computer/desktop. But I had NO idea how something I had been only looking at became a PURCHASED item? (I was not even sure at that point my son could go). She then said "So here's what I can do! I can re-list those for you!" I went around and around with her... questioned why she asked me what method I was looking at the website… Nada. No use. Nothing they could do and nothing I could do. I was stuck with the tickets that I was not even sure I could use and that I KNOW I did NOT PURCHASE. Confused, I accepted the fact that I had the tickets and I told my son-- who was beyond excited.

So, night two of the said concert and I texted my son to send me a picture of him and his friends at the show. He texted back that he was having a blast but "the tickets he received in the mail did not work". I asked him what he meant and how he got into the show. He told me that upon being scanned the tickets read on the scanner "STOP. VOID! SHORT BAR CODE". 1. I was mad that he had not told me that so I could call StubHub and raise holy heck (the tickets were over $100 EACH) and 2. I was so angry that I had not even WANTED these tickets and now there was a major problem with them and my son had to get in without being able to see them!

I immediately live chatted STUBHUB because it was almost midnight Sunday and offices were closed. The rep said they would need to talk to me on the phone. She said someone would call me within 24 hours. 24 hours came and went. I was determined to see how long it would take for someone to call me back. It is now Tuesday and I just received an email asking me to complete a form saying the tickets I received were not able to be used. I am beyond disappointed. My experiences back in 2009, 2011, etc were so good and now this happened and... reading here all the other similar stories, it makes me sad and angry. But, smarter too! I won't use StubHub again. Too risky and not a good enough site. BUYER BEWARE!!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM STUBHUB!!! It's my fault for confirming the order when I had doubts while placing it, I own my part but the way the tickets were worded read Parking Passes Only Willie Nelson Tickets, the price would be the cost of both and it listed 1 under tickets that read GA (did not read Parking). I assumed it was for General Admission. The seller knew what they were doing when posting the tickets! StubHub does not do refunds or cancellation of orders so my complaints fell on deaf ears but to top it off by adding insult to injury the manager (NOT IN THE USA) who took over the call told me she wouldn’t have made that mistake because she is careful with her money. Thank you StubHub for taking my money and insulting my intelligence! Your seller knew what they were doing when posting the tickets as they did. This will be my last time using this service and I will make sure to warn people about placing orders with your company.

The site is not transparent, sellers can mislead with wording and the “Chat Now” button on their email goes to a Q&A page, not live chat, with no contact info for StubHub! It takes digging into the site to find a phone number to call and you are transferred to another country where they apologize and tell you how sorry they are and understand the issue but they won't help. READ THE FINE PRINT, DO NOT USE!

I purchased some tickets for a concert at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto. Obviously, they were re-sale tickets of some kind and had the original purchaser's name on them but apparently that is not unusual. As the security person scanned the tickets at the venue's gate, the scanner alerted us that these were fake tickets or at least invalid! You can imagine the irritation and disappointment. So why am I giving StubHub a positive review? Simply because of their "FanProtect" 100% money back guarantee.

The following day I called them and after a brief questioning period, conducted by a very polite and attentive StubHub representative, they fully refunded my money with no hassle. I was impressed with their customer service and the fact they clearly take that money back guarantee and their reputation seriously. Realistically, this is the risk you take with re-sale tickets but I can honestly say that StubHub may not guarantee the validity of your tickets but they do guarantee your money. I should also say I used them at least once before this incident and had no problem with the tickets on that occasion. If you are leery about StubHub tickets, maybe just bring some extra cash and look for a scalper in case your tickets are rejected. That way you can at least see the show and rest easy because StubHub will refund you.

I sold 4 sets of tickets and tracked them with UPS. The UPS site showed them delivered in 2 Business Days. 8 Business Days later StubHub had them showing as "in transit" rather delivered. I don't get paid until 3-7 Business days after delivery. Because StubHub didn't update the UPS shipping information I now have to wait another 3-7 Business Days to get paid. I had to dig to find a phone number to call and straighten it out, prove that the tickets were delivered, (which the Stub Hub representative confirmed with UPS), and then updated my account to show them delivered. Now, I wait another 3-7 days before the money is in my account. Makes me think they are playing the "float" with the buyers money before they release it to the seller. Is there another source for ticket sellers? I don't that many transactions and I would like to find another more reliable and predictable source.

Then the second person said sorry but there's nothing they can do. I asked for at least a portion back. They said nothing. I know they will get refunded but won't give me an avenue to get my hard earned money back. I will never use them again. They don't deserve any stars.

Please think twice before you sell tickets with StubHub. I am working on a lawsuit and would like to make it a class action lawsuit for the thousands of people who have tried to sell tickets and been charged hidden/ridiculous fees. My mother fell ill on the day of an event that she was attending and asked if I could help sell her tickets. I put her tickets up on StubHub with an option to mobile upload them. The instructions tell you to capture a photo of the entire ticket and then upload them directly on the site, which is what I did. The site said the tickets uploaded successfully. Within 30 minutes I received an e-mail that my tickets were sold. I called StubHub customer care directly to be sure that the tickets uploaded properly and were going to be valid for use.

I was told that the mobile upload option doesn't work like that (even though the site clearly gave me instructions and allowed me to upload the tickets). So I told the representative to cancel the transaction because I only have hard copies of the tickets. I asked what my options were and she said that I could try taking them to will call but they needed to contact the buyer first to get approval. After an hour on the phone with customer support, I was told that they couldn't do anything to help me and they would be charging me 40% of my list price for tickets that weren't even sold. I demanded a manager and was denied very rudely and then hung up on. I called back and spoke to a representative named Kathy who said she was communicating with a manager to get my problem resolved.

They proceeded to tell me that I never uploaded the tickets, which was false because I took screen shots. After 2 1/2 hours of being put on hold and rude representatives, I was finally told that the issue was resolved and given a service request number which was supposed to have all of the notes, stating that I wouldn't have to pay the fee.

Two days later, I received an email stating that I had to pay them $810 + $405 in fees because the buyer could not get into the venue. WHAT??!! I never sold the tickets. The transaction was cancelled!!! I spoke to someone named Matt in Marketplace investigations who was very rude! Did nothing to try to help even though I gave him the service request number. He even confirmed that he saw notes that I wasn't supposed to be charged, but said the other manager was wrong and I am going to be charged anyway. I will be getting an attorney. DO NOT trust this company or service. They are deceitful, money hungry, and have terrible customer service! You will regret doing business with StubHub!

I downloaded their app then check out the process of selling tickets. I entered all my info and at the end before posted I hit the back button on my Android phone. The app was not user friendly and I had many issues but in the end did not post the ticket. A few day later I see in my email the ticket sold within hours when it was not even suppose to be on StubHub. Called and chatted with several agents and they all were very rude and did not want to rectify the problem. Basically said they could waive the fee but it is what it is and they are charging me $600 because the listing was posted. After pleading with over 6 agents no one would help me and they blatantly refused to let me talk to a supervisor. I also requested to see my app session and they just hung up on me. BAD BAD COMPANY!

I am a single mother of 4 and cannot afford to just give away $600 when the StubHub app does not even work properly. I even clicked on the links in the email they sent me and they don't work. This was an error and they still steal your money. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM SELLING ON STUBHUB!!! They steal your money. There are other sites. Please check them out before you are charged for their website/app issues. In the end someone should really do something about this company. I believe if there was an investigation they would uncover a huge scam happening here.

There are four of us that purchased season tickets in Capital One Club at Globe Life Park, home of the Texas Rangers. One of the guys asked me to list his four seats for the Fourth of July as he was unable to attend. I listed his tickets on June 12, 2018. This was first time I had ever tried to sell tickets on StubHub. Heath keeps his tickets in a bank in a deposit box in Nacogdoches, TX. I live in Henderson, TX. 45 miles away. They said I did not send barcodes for the tickets. On June 14, 2018 they said I relisted the tickets. If I did, it was inadvertent. I was unable to give them the barcodes because I didn't have possession of the tickets. On June 26, I received an email stating that the tickets had sold and they had the barcodes. Keep in mind, they are still in safety deposit box some 45 miles from me. July 1, 2018 I received another email saying my tickets had sold and they needed barcodes. I thought they were talking about the first sale.

I phoned Heath and he said he would go to the bank and send me barcodes. July 2, 2018 he sent me email with pictures of the tickets. I tried to enter them on StubHub and was informed that the tickets had already been sold and that I would be charged 40% for not being able to deliver the tickets. I told them I was not trying to defraud them, just wasn't sure of what to do. 10 seconds after hanging up my American Express card was charged $356.40. 10 days later I have still not received payment for the tickets, $651.60.

I have tried 3 times to get them to refund the 40% and to pay me for sale of tickets. They are saying I gave them bar codes on the June 26th, yet I didn't see tickets until July 2. I have canceled my StubHub account and will never use them again. #1 Why would I want to list the tickets twice? #2 Why would their system allow someone to list tickets twice? #3 Why would they sell the same tickets twice? Sounds like something dishonest is going on in their business model.

I almost didn't use StubHub because of all the bad reviews. I purchased theatre tickets for a Broadway show at Paramount Theatre in Seattle this past weekend using StubHub. I received the tickets electronically via email a few minutes after my purchase without a hitch. The tickets were half the price of other ticket sellers for equivalent seats and the fees were much lower than the other places I checked. Overall I was pleased with my experience with StubHub and will use them again. I hope StubHub steps up and takes care of the issues brought up by other patrons so they can get more positive reviews.

Went to StubHub and they had the same tickets with the option to buy 1, 2, or 4. So my son at I at the exact same time tried to purchase the 1 and the 2. Because those options were available. Went through the process and mine went through but his kicked back unavailable. So I backed out and tried again. The same tickets came up but now 1 wasn't an option. Now you had to buy 2. I called customer service and they say they never leave a seller with one ticket. I said then one ticket should never have been an advertised option. After an hour on the phone there was nothing they could do and of course they suggested I resell it. More money for them. I wish I could give them no stars. My suggestion is buy from Vivid Seats!!!

If I could give zero stars I would & like a few others, set up this account for no other reason than to explain the horrible experience I had with StubHub. Back in May, I was trying to purchase James Taylor tickets (4) as a birthday present for my sister. After looking at many different sites, including the one my friend used last year for the same tickets, I decided to go with StubHub because of their name alone. Didn't know of the other company & was a little nervous using them. My mistake! The first problem was I had to make 2 separate purchases for lawn seats (1 ticket, 3 tickets). I paid for them both & was sent a confirmation email on both orders stating that the tickets would be in hand by Friday, June 29th. In my opinion, with the concert being July 3rd, that was cutting it close.

The morning of the 29th, I received an email from StubHub, stating that the 1 ticket order was on its way & I'd have it via UPS by 8:00 pm that evening. No tracking #, no information on the other 3 tickets but since that was a separate transaction, I figured I'd get another email. By mid-afternoon, I had not received an email about the other tickets so I went onto their chat. Spoke to someone who assured me that they would be there, but if not, they would look on site to find other tickets. But ONLY after reaching out to the seller to see what was going on.

Saturday, late morning, nothing. No tickets, no emails, no information from StubHub. I got back on chat & spoke to a person who said that yes, they were still trying to reach the seller. I pointed out the very obvious fact that IF the seller had fulfilled his obligation, I'd have my tickets. However, since that day had come & went, it was obvious I wasn't going to receive them, could they please replace the tickets. Because, according to their "fan guarantee" one thing they say is "We go out of our way to find replacement tickets if there is an issue with your order." - Yeah, THAT isn't true!! I hopped onto their site only to see that yes, there WERE tickets still available. However, they don't want you to have them because then THEY are out $$. So what did they do? They waited till Sunday - no tickets, have to offer a refund.

So 2 people who had to take (unpaid) days off tomorrow AND my sister's birthday present? Who cares, they aren't losing money. So yes, it's going to be my mission to get this out to as many people as possible because StubHub, in my humble opinion, sucks. No customer service to speak of. And no, I don't feel like telling me "we understand your frustration & will refund your money" is good customer service. "We understand your frustration & let us offer you these tickets" would have been fine with me.

I have used StubHub for several years with no issue, this year however, the entire process has been "Updated", The mobile app is my preferred method of use, I logged into my account on Tuesday June 26, 2018 - found tickets and attempted to purchase, I continued to get an error message so I tried different tickets, got the same result. I contacted and received some feedback online from tech support which did not help, they referred me to call 866-788-2482 to get help from them.

After 2.5 hours of dealing with this problem I was told their interface with the NFL was brand new and was having a problem and the tickets could not be purchase. They assured me my problem ticket was entered and I would be notified when it was fixed, for the next 2 days I called again and got the same info. Today I check the app, and not only is it up and running, my tickets are no longer available! What is available now has a $27 service fee (they were $19 3 days ago) and much more expensive.

If you use the mobile app and PayPal your PayPal account must use the same email address to login or you're out of luck also, no way to update that info from a mobile device, tech support removed and I added the correct address on my laptop (Which was there and working 6 months ago) and the mobile app changed it back. It was suggested to me that I place my tickets online to StubHub where I purchased them. I did, but I deactivated the posting when my mother called me back to tell me her surgery was the week after. I clicked "deactivate". I went into my postings and it said "no posting". I assumed the post was deactivated.

I purchased music tickets through StubHub using their mobile web platform. When you purchase tickets on StubHub you can click on various options and an arrow displaying the price hovers above the section you are purchasing. So I purchased tickets and several days later received tickets in a completely different section than was displayed on the screen. I called StubHub and the first person I talked to said she saw that this happened and assured me they would fix the situation. Later I received a second call stating they would not fix anything and the tix I received were the tix I purchased. I filled out a Better Business Bureau complaint and then received calls from the executive team with whom I played phone tag for two weeks.

They then told me they would put my tickets up for sale and give me a $200 credit on my account. Sounds great, only the tickets will likely NOT sell since there are so many other better seats available. So I would have NO guarantee that my tix would sell. The total of my purchase was $424. So if they didn't sell, I would be out $224 AND still have to purchase additional tix. The person I spoke with was getting frustrated because I'm not willing to let a company that rips people off for millions per year make me think they're giving me some great deal. And as if I would EVER use this site again. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM SITE.

Consumers beware! I made this account solely so I can share my appalling experience with Stubhub. I purchased some concert tickets and ended up having one extra. I thought might as well sell this and make a few extra dollars. To my dismay, I found out the venue would be doing a delay release (4 hours before the event). I was in contact with Stubhub through the hours leading up to the concert. They assured me that they were having the same issue with other customers and that they were aware of the venue’s policy. Two hours before the concert I received an email notifying me that the order was canceled despite having spoken with a Stubhub employee 20 minutes before the cancelation who also assured me “they would take care of it”.

One week later I received another email saying that I owed Stubhub a cancellation fee. I immediately contacted Stubhub and asked them why I was charged when they knew the venue was the issue. They explained it was because I did not deliver the tickets on time. I repeated back to them that they knew (because they had on file) the venue delivered them late. If it were up to me, I would have uploaded those tickets as soon as I was able. However, this was out of my control.

Stubhub decided to do a 50% price reduction on my fee as a “courtesy”. I explained to them that since there was proof of the venue being the issue, they should waive the entire fee because even a 50% reduction is far too much. Especially considering it was not in any way my fault. After having multiple conversations about this issue, I realized that all Stubhub employees respond with the same robotic answer. There is no reasoning with this company. They take their profits from the buyer and seller, and do not care about anything else. Stubhub does not care about their customers.

I took a picture of each of them separately, listing went through and someone bought them only to find out that they were not approved at the venue. I then lost my money on the sale and was charged a $175 seller fee for my mistake. How hard is it to just put "You cannot sell hard tickets this close to the date of the venue." How about keep your normal Hard ticket option and just put a landing page there. It would be so easy to add a sentence to the listing page to warn sellers. Put UPS or LAST Minute Services on that page. So easy but yet they made out just fine, gouging me for $175!

This morning I received a call from StubHub saying the tickets are no longer valid. They didn't do anything to help relocate other than what they had available on their Website which was off to the side which was not acceptable. They did nothing I mean nothing to help her out, their attitude is, "Oh well. The seller reneged."

So now after buying Airline Tickets for this Concert in Boston with front & center tickets gone needless to say I would not recommend purchasing tickets on this site. Imagine giving these phenomenal tickets for a Birthday gift to someone special only to receive a call from StubHub 2 months later to say your tickets are no longer valid, did I mention these tickets were paid in full. I sold tickets to the Washington Capitals Stanley Cup game on StubHub on May 5th. On May 8th, my two boys told me they really wanted to go so I notified StubHub I did not want to deliver the tickets. Prices were significantly lower then. For 3 weeks StubHub delayed taking action despite repeated phone calls from me (they were waiting to see if the Caps would even be in the Stanley Cup). Once the Capitals won in the earlier rounds, prices went way up and StubHub finally replaced the tickets to the buyer.

Because of the delays, StubHub agreed to charge me "only" 40% of the original sale (or a fee of $1600). I called, again, to complain about this exorbitant amount and the supervisor offered to charge me only half of that ($800). The StubHub supervisor suggested I relist the tickets on StubHub given the high prices and then buy cheaper seats for my sons, in order to be able to make the $800 back in profit from selling the seats. HOWEVER, the CAPS WON!! There was no game 6 -- no home game #3 -- and no tickets as the game does not exist. Yet StubHub is still charging me an $800 fee. I am a retired single mom and called them yet again to see if they could waive this appalling charge. They refuse to waive the fee despite the fact there was no game! I have zero recourse and NEED YOUR HELP to get that money back.

Buyer beware!!! This is the first and last time I will ever use StubHub. I purchased tickets to Hamilton in NYC. The ticket prices were high, which is typical, but in comparison to Ticketmaster, the StubHub website shows you the view from the seats you are looking at. I was going back and forth between the two sites, I found comparable tickets on both sites, but the ones on Stub Hub were about $10 cheaper. I added them to my cart, and the next thing I knew they were purchased and there was a $125 Service Fee Per Ticket. You cannot review your purchase before you click to purchase, and the service fees appeared after I let them have my credit card information.

I called Customer Service to ask what the fee was for, which is basically their profit after the seller sells their tickets and re-coups their money. They keep the tickets in the site for you to download when you are ready, so there is no "service" there is no UPS delivery or mail so basically I just paid $500 more for tickets than I had to. They were completely unsympathetic when I called them and I will never use them again.

Bought ticket on StubHub for Game 3 NBA Finals in Cleveland 2018. Ticket was listed and plotted on the arena map incorrectly. Ticket came through on StubHub as what I thought I had bought but when it arrived in FlashTickets it was different. StubHub had allowed seller to incorrectly list the ticket but still processed the transaction. Called StubHub day before the game and they said there were two 114 areas (one a Suite and one a Section) and I had bought a ticket in to the Suite. Turned up and I was in section 114 as per FlashTicket and it was a miserable seat for the price paid. Flew from New Zealand, drove from Chicago, got played by StubHub and the Seller. SELLERS BEWARE!!! This was the first time and last time that I use StubHub. I sold some tickets on their website (3 tickets to be accurate) and I get an email a week later saying that one of my tickets was invalid, and that they were trying to charge me triple the amount that I had sold it for. I called their investigation team and we had a conference call where we called the original supplier of the ticket and they confirmed that the ticket was scanned successfully and that it was later re-scanned (a few mins later) and then buyer claimed they couldn't get in when the buyer duplicated the ticket and tried to get someone else in. So now I'm being charged for someone else committing fraud.

So StubHub decides to charge the seller for something that the buyer did. When I asked if I went and bought a ticket from their website and made a 2nd copy and hand it to a friend to get in and then claim I couldn't get in, then they would refund my money and they couldn't answer me. I told them that I would make sure to tell everyone I know to buy tickets from them and make a 2nd copy. That way a buddy gets in for free and so do you and you get your money refunded back. They responded with, "No we don't want you telling people that." In other words yes that would work. I am disgusted with the way this company conducts business and will never be using them again. They ended with that is the risk you take by selling your ticket in an 2nd type marketplace.

I was on StubHub on my work computer on my break buying tickets to CMA fest, found the tickets I wanted and put them in my cart. Went to check out and the site would not let me sign into my account to buy the tickets I wanted because my password was incorrect. It would not let me change my password from my work computer so I got the email on my phone that prompted me to change my password, changed the password which allowed me into my account, right to the check out page (302 pm), great. Clicked order, get to the confirmation page and the ticket is now a different section and price (the ticket I had in my cart were more expensive but I didn't care because I wanted to sit with my friends. I immediately called StubHub (303 pm) and got a guy who told me there was nothing he could do because they are a "marketplace".

I asked to speak with a supervisor who told me the same thing - there is nothing she could do. But after I explained my story again she said she would "pull some strings" and have the technical team look into it for me. WHILE STILL ON THE PHONE WITH THIS LADY I get an email from StubHub (320 pm) - "we are really sorry there was a problem with your order. We want to make it better. If you relist your tickets we'll waive your fees." HA what?! I'm still on the phone with the supervisor. (If I decide to sell my tickets StubHub would still get the service fee from the next buyer for their website's mistake PLUS I now need to buy another ticket and HOPE the ticket I don't want sells...)

The lady come back on the phone (323 pm) and tells me the tech department did not see a problem with the order and she will gladly list my ticket for sale for me. I then asked her if she thinks I'm a liar, she wouldn't answer the question but kept telling me how easy selling the ticket was going to be. I told her the concert is tomorrow and there are many tickets for sale. She kept ignoring me and just kept telling me I can sell the tickets for what I paid for (which would make it the most expensive ticket by over a hundred dollars in that area). I kept trying to plead my case and was getting nowhere so I finally caved and said to allow her to list my ticket.

She comes back on the phone and stated she needed my bank account information because when selling tickets you need a bank account or prepaid credit card on file, so of course I asked why and she stated, “Because you are the seller and need to guarantee the ticket is real”. So I said I just bought the ticket and it's at will call... She said there was no way around it because the computer wouldn't let her list it without a card on file. So I gave her my account number. Now my tickets are on sale for $637 (what I paid for them after fees and taxes) which again makes it the most expensive ticket it the area (Before tax and fees the ticket was 529).

I told her I was not happy and the concert is tomorrow - her response was, “There was 5000 people looking at this event now so your chances of selling the tickets are high”. Then she stated she will ask the tech department to do a more extensive review of the sale but it can take 72 hours. I again explained the concert is tomorrow. She told me there was nothing else she could do for me. I will never use StubHub to buy tickets again and can't believe they get away with things like this. They are crooks.

A couple of year ago I bought a ticket to an NFL playoff game. I put the ticket up for sale later on StubHub. I was eventually able to sell the ticket to someone outside of StubHub, so I immediately cancelled my listing on StubHub. A few days later, I get an email from StubHub saying someone bought my ticket. I found this very surprising since I had already cancelled my listing on their site. I called StubHub to find out what was going on. They told me that since the tickets were no longer available, I owed them the ticket price plus a ridiculous fee on top of that.

I told them I had cancelled the listing days earlier. The rep said they had no record of the cancellation, but luckily I had the insight to take screenshots of my cancellation so I sent the screenshot to her and she told me that they would "investigate" it. I get a call 2 hours later after their technical team did see that I indeed cancelled my listing so I was off the hook. Even though things turned out well, after this experience, which was my first experience with StubHub, I'll never use them again. They are either disorganized or unethical in their practices. Even though it was a hassle and mild inconvenience for me, I think how much of an inconvenience it must have been for the person who bought my ticket not knowing it was no longer available. I'll stick to more reputable sites in the future when I need to buy or sell tickets and you should do the same.

Upon buying tickets to a baseball game online through their system I had no idea that the game would be delayed 2.5 hours to a start time of 9:30. At the stadium there was an announcement of refunds were being given. My family who I bought all the tickets for we decided to bail on the game and get our refunds. But when I went to get my refund I was told StubHub did not upload all the information that was needed for a refund via their side to Stetson and that they were unable to locate my tickets. We still left for we all had work the next morning. When talking to a member of StubHub I was told I would be unable to get my refund for the game wasn't completely cancelled.

I understand that however, if they had uploaded all the information that they were supposed to the system I would be able to get a refund. So I am very disappointed with this system for they are sneaky not to show all their paperwork so that they can corruptly take your money. I will never be buying from StubHub ever again. And a warning to all who is this company if you do purchase from them make sure that they do all of their paperwork to the ticket sales to the place you are wanting to go see.

I called StubHub this afternoon and they said they would take 24 to 48 hours to investigate the matter. They did not offer any sort of compensation for my trouble. I accidentally purchased three Weird Al Yankovic tickets for $20 each, which included a $21 fee. After I purchased them I noticed that they were parking passes. This is because the listing was not clearly listed. I tried to cancel the order immediately, but StubHub would not let me, instead asking me to try to sell them on their site where they would be able to charge someone another $21 fee if someone purchased them.

Needless to say, I did not sell the tickets (even though the agent claimed that there would be high probability that I would), and StubHub would not reimburse me, so I'm out $81. I really feel like I got scammed by the seller of the parking passes, and StubHub. StubHub calls themselves a "marketplace", but in what marketplaces do people not get a chance to cancel an order, or to at least even communicate with the seller of an item? Almost none. I purchased three tickets to a concert for my daughter’s sweet 16 (over $500). And immediately after printing them we realized that they were wheelchair accessible seats and that we could be refused entry if we weren’t disabled. We contacted StubHub immediately and were basically told that we should have read the description and they could not refund them. The only thing we can do is try to resell them but it would be hard since they are wheelchair accessible. What they should have done is make that right and refund the tickets because it was an obvious human error.

Now our only choice is to try and resell them in the same fashion and hope someone else either is actually in need of wheelchair access ticketed or that they make the same mistake? This feels very unethical to me but now I need to recover the most money for my daughter’s birthday gift or she gets nothing. I posted a similar post as this on a forum on StubHub and it was removed and I was sent a private message that they can’t refund them because the seller would be penalized. A simple solution would be not to penalize the seller. It’s their policy so why don’t they change it? I am not happy with how they handled this situation and unless they make it right somehow, will never use StubHub again.

My experience is that the StubHub guarantee is worthless, and Flash Seats will outright steal from you with no accountability. Both have terrible customer service. I bought 2 concert tickets through StubHub, and was directed to retrieve my tickets using Flash Seats. I created a Flash Seats account and the seller that StubHub represented transferred the tickets to my account. Everything seemed to work fine.

Two weeks later, I received an email from Flash Seats that my tickets had been transferred. I logged into my Flash Seats account and saw my tickets had been transferred to Flash Seats' Support without my knowledge or consent. I contacted Flash Seats' Help Desk but they could not explain why my tickets had taken. I was told my concern had been escalated and someone would call me. Over the next 3 weeks I called 6 times and had to restate the problem each time. I asked to talk to supervisors.

The last call this week I talked to a supervisor in Dallas named Ed that told me the original seller had asked for the tickets back so they had been taken from me even though I had paid for them. Ed said the tickets had been fraudulently sold, but refused to send me any documentation that I could give to StubHub. Also, Ed refused to transfer me to his supervisor and told me to call the event venue. I tried that too, but they wouldn't tell me anything.

StubHub refused to pursue my complaint because the tickets had initially been transferred to me... even though the seller was fraudulent. I reminded them of their 100% guarantee, but they refused to honor it and said it was up to Flash Seats. They contract with Flash Seats to distribute tickets so StubHub needs to honor their guarantee. Fortunately, I used a credit card and will be reimbursed because I didn't receive what I had paid for. I'll try to get tickets elsewhere and will never use either StubHub or Flash Seats again. I tell everyone I know not to buy tickets through them.

StubHub does not HELP the buyer at all, they continue to use the word "We HELP our buyers" but all they do is re-list your tickets. For example, if you buy something on eBay that was the wrong product - eBay will allow you a refund to the seller within a certain amount of business days, and if the seller doesn't refund you then eBay will take action against the seller. StubHub however will say, "Sorry you purchased the wrong product, all we can do now is allow you to become the seller of that product by listing the tickets on our site again and hope they sell before the concert date or else you lose out on your money or go to that concert."

There is a HUGE market of opportunity here for StubHub to step in and allow the buyer who if they bought the wrong product to have a chance to get a refund but instead StubHub is a NO REFUND policy to buyers. If the seller emails you or mails out the tickets for you, as soon as you receive it then it's your responsibility. Regardless if you bought the wrong product or not, they will NOT help you. All they will do is allow you to re-list it on their site, in which doesn't make sense because that's exactly what the original owner did in the first place. They guarantee you that if you buy anything on their site you own that product, no refunds.

Two tickets = $$238 Ticketek logo on top. We received the bill from Stub-Hub for $552.24. In reality we paid $276 for tickets marked at $119, this includes a fee or $40+ per ticket. In essence 100%+ increase. Do they buy tickets from Ticketek initially and then sell them at whatever price they feel they can get. Is this a scam? Is this legal? Once More a warning to the unwary. I listed 2 tickets for sale on their website for $295 each. After a week or so I reduced the price to $275 each. The next day to my surprise, they sold for $209 and change!!! I contacted StubHub to ask what happened, they said there is nothing they could do, supposedly someone changed the price to 209 after I reduced the price to $275.

I was the lowest priced tickets by $25 when I listed them for $275, why would I undercut my own price?? They said I could cancel the trade and would be charged the GREATER of 40% ($167.20) or the price of replacing the tickets whichever is higher. Well replacing the tickets right now would cost $300 each so looks like for me to cancel it would cost me $600!!! They did refund the $41 selling fee to go towards another purchase with them but that doesn't fully make up for the $132 I lost. After looking into it, MULTIPLE people are having the same issue where they sell tickets for less than the seller lists them, yet StubHub stands by their buyers, not sellers.

When I contacted StubHub, they would not provide a fee schedule for their fees - it is clear that they increase the percentage fees if they feel the tickets are especially valuable - this is really unethical!! A few days later, I started to think that this is scam and the seller does not have the tickets at all. Hence, I told the customer service to refund my money so that I can purchase the VIP Plus tickets from other sources. However, they insisted that the sellers are trustworthy and will deliver the tickets. In the end, none of them had tickets in hand. A StubHub ad on their website says “where do you want to sit.” Thanks to StubHub, I got to sit in the lobby! After later calling customer service, they offered to refund my money. Duh!!! I did not get what I paid for, so that is bare minimum. Then, the rep offered a $50 StubHub credit. To put it into perspective, for 2 tickets to the show we spent $375 on StubHub! I could have bought a more reliable ticket off the street or on Craigslist.

To add insult to injury, I was charged a whopping $69 in service fees, yet StubHub was so careless as to not even make sure I received the right ticket. It is embarrassing for a company that says they offer, “ticket buying as it should be,” to provide an invalid ticket. I will not be using StubHub anymore, and advise you to be cautious in trusting them with your hard earned money. I plan on using Ticketmaster or a service where I know my tickets will be valid. StubHub’s only guarantee is giving you a refund. I don’t care about the money, I wanted the experience. Because of StubHub, that was ruined! #BoycottStubHub.

I asked them how I should get one and they said you go to the stadium, there is an office there, with your passport and the e-ticket you would get your Passolig. I went there and the guy said you should have signed up before and asked your agent from StubHub to send the information to our office.

I contacted StubHub and they told me that they have sent an email just one day before the match and informed me about the Passolig and its procedure!!! Just one day before the match while I am at travel and there is a chance that I would not check my emails. The funny thing is that when you want to sign up, it says it takes 15 days to issue the Passolig and send it to me, although the guy in the office said you just sign up and contact your agent to send the information to me. However, since it was too late (1 hour before the match), the agent of StubHub said they would not guarantee that I could get the ticket and at the end I couldn't attend the match and I lost 225$ and they say they are not responsible for this. First agent stated seller had sent wrong tickets and would send correct tickets. Second agent stated that tickets had been incorrectly listed but I had received the tickets truly available.

I was offered to return tickets for refund and then to purchase new tickets (of course limited selection without being able to get tickets together at that time) or could receive 25% credit on future order within one year. StubHub would not refund any of their charges for processing (I paid twice the face value of the tickets plus 25% of that amount for StubHub charges). Clearly agents reading from there standard predetermined responses. Just to put into context, I am a MAJOR kpop fan and Jay Park is my favorite artist, so there was no way I was missing this concert! The tickets sold out on event in, the official sales outlet, within minutes and I was left devastated. Then 1 month later on StubHub they were up for 4 times the amount of the original... I uhhmed and ahhed but went ahead. I went for the instant download option as I had seen reviews of people that didn't get tickets in time. Even as I was queuing, I thought, I just hope I get in. And I did! Both me and my friend saw Jay Park in all his glory front row and had the best night ever :).

So I have to hand it to them, they allowed me to see my favorite artist and I got my hands on precious tickets and made unforgettable memories. Yes, this should be illegal. But desperate fans will pay whatever, I never thought I'd fit that category but there you go. And honestly, I wouldn't buy again from them. I would go to the official ticket sales of the event and go from there. Set time aside to book the real tickets (so they don't sell out!). You have more assurance that way with possible cancellations and rescheduling that you WILL get your money back. These 3rd parties aren't obliged to do anything if the event is canceled. I hope my 2 cents helped.

I eventually got an email from StubHub saying that my ticket had sold and to send it to the buyer's address. I did and then received a confirmation email that the buyer had gotten my ticket and that I would be paid. The money was put into my account and then 3 days later I get another email from StubHub saying that my order has been canceled by the buyer for "listing incorrect information" and that the money would be taken out of my account and I would be charged an additional 126 dollars.

Altogether 269 dollars was taken out of my account because apparently, I did not put "side view" on my ticket listing even though it was extremely obvious from the map that the ticket was on the side. I had no idea I had to put side view and finding that option is not right in front of you when you list your tickets. I also thought it was obvious from that map that is provided for the buyer. I contacted customer service and they said there was nothing they could do for me. I then got another email from StubHub saying that the original amount I was going to be paid for selling my ticket would be put back into my account. They never put the money back in my account and I have no idea why they sent that email if my sale had already been canceled.

Overall I had a horrible experience with StubHub and I feel like I was scammed by the person who bought my ticket as well as StubHub. I did nothing wrong and listed the correct row, section, and seat number and still had to pay the price because people apparently can't look at the map to see exactly where their seat will be even though it's right in front of them and StubHub doesn't care to help the seller as long as they get their money.

I sold tickets on StubHub for a concert in Vegas last October. After the tragic shooting that occurred, the band postponed the concert. It just didn't feel right to them to play so soon after the tragedy: Suddenly I had a charge on my bank account from StubHub. There was no prior notification or correspondence they would be charging me back. I immediately called them, and also contacted the original source from which I purchased the tickets. I figured if the concert was cancelled I could get a refund. I could not get a refund because I had sold the tickets through a third party. Also, the concert was postponed and not officially cancelled so the tickets are valid for a future date. StubHub's terms state that if an event is postponed it is still the buyers duty to determine if they can attend the event, or to otherwise sell the tickets. The seller is at no fault. I contacted StubHub and they immediately and they concurred and reversed the charge.

Suddenly at the end of December I get an email from StubHub that I owe them money and they have been unable to charge the account on file, and further threaten collections. Again I call them right away. The gentleman was helpful and friendly and said he would open an investigation. He assured me I would hear back from someone. I was worried about the threat of collections and he said that it would be fine and I'd hear back in a reasonable enough time that it would never get that far.

Lo and behold the end of January comes. I've heard nothing from anyone and on the 31st I receive another scathing email. Once again I am in the phone. This time the lady is telling me I need to provide proof that the event was rescheduled. The band reached dated in February and March. I sent documentation to StubHub within minutes. One piece of documentation clearly states that the postponed event was rescheduled and the original tickets can be used for one of the rescheduled dates. Twenty four hours later I receive an email reply stating that the debt stands and is non-negotiable because the event was cancelled. I don't even know what more I can provide these morons. I now have so much wasted time and energy, and now I'm a ball of nerves. I feel like I'm being bullied and have absolutely no recourse.

I Just received a call back from the "Case Manager" Daniel (would not give me last name) in Salt Lake City. I was told that the sellers have the right to raise the price on their tickets at ANY time. Just so happens the seller raised the price on the tickets while I was putting my credit card in. First of all this is "bait and switch" and secondly STUBHUB has a flaw in their system, prices should not be able to change mid-transaction. All they could offer me is a credit towards future purchases with them. I have used STUBHUB for years without a problem, but why would I want to purchase tickets from them again, knowing that the ticket prices could go up mid-transaction.

Bought Miami Dolphin tickets vs Buffalo Bills as a Christmas gift for my husband. And when we got to the stadium and they scanned the tickets they said it was used already. Try to call customer service twice waiting over 45 min for the rep. Never came on, hung up, went home pissed and missed the last game. I was embarrassed and humiliated. I was recommended by a friend that always gets his football and basketball tickets from StubHub. I did check the reviews and they had good ones because I am usually skeptical dealing with 3rd party companies.

So I went online to chat with a rep from StubHub. They apologized and said they would call me asap and they did. The rep explained to me after apologizing that if I called them at the game they could replace the tickets or give me a refund. Which I called and stated I have screenshots of how long I waited over the phone for a rep after 45 minutes knowing the game already started we went home then I called again on my way home and that was a hold for a rep for 52 min. And I have a screenshot of that call. I was so pissed and embarrassed and humiliated I could not think. She asked questions and I said no to all of it because at that point I just wanted a refund.

The ticket counter at the game told us that only Ticketmaster can resell and verify the tickets not a 3rd party company and that StubHub is known for selling fraudulent tickets. That didn't make us feel any better. The guy next to us had the same issue and said he got his ticket as a Christmas gift as well through StubHub. Well what a coincidence. However StubHub you get 1 star and a zero for allowing this to happen with knowledge of it. Obviously my husband and I were not the only ones who were bamboozled that day which was Dec 31st 2017 around 4pm Miami Florida at the Hard Rock Stadium last football game Miami Dolphins vs Buffalo Bills. Obviously Ticketmaster and the stadium are aware about the negative issues with StubHub. I deleted their app on my phone and will not be using StubHub for any future events.

When I called in to complain I was told that there should have been an option to click to filter and view price with fees. This was told to me by an agent AND a supervisor who then states that he cannot say for sure where it was located because different browsers show things differently. There should NEVER be a choice to filter to show what I am purchasing. They offered a $39 refund, but I am not happy at all. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again. I had tickets for a concert I could not attend so I listed them on StubHub. After learning I was going to be able to stay in town and go to the show, I took my ticket DOWN their site. For some very strange reason, they are saying I did not, and that I sold the ticket. Let's say it was a computer mistake and for some reason my taking down the ticket did not work. (Even though I made SURE so I could attend the concert.)

As I got to the concert, and proceeded to my seat, there was a man sitting there claiming he bought my seat. After this person being rude and saying "What are you gonna do about it?" and "Maybe you will get an upgrade"... I tried calling StubHub but got disconnected as I was in the middle of a loud concert. In the meantime, I missed 7 songs of my favorite band. So I spoke to the people at The Forum. They told me whatever the computer showed was correct, if the tickets were resold, it would show up! Guess what... Tickets did not show up as resold. They assured me I could go to my seat (by that time, who knows how many songs I missed...) and it was no longer my problem.

Fast forward to now that STUBHUB is charging my credit card $150 (for the ticket I "sold") which seems ok since I did not want that money and did not sell it. But they are also charging $75 which they CLAIM it was to make the situation right". I am being forced to pay for something that is not my problem and got no explanation for it! I placed a complaint with BBB and the rep keeps insisting on "making it right for the buyer". This last time, accusing me of entering the concert and causing an embarrassing situation for the "buyer" who could not gain entrance! This man was right there when I arrived!!! Had I sold my ticket I wouldn't have spent money to Uber there and go to the concert!

I am sure that person watched the concert and got their money back, which is not my problem but I am not paying for $75 since HE GAINED ACCESS and watched the whole show! This is so beyond absurd. The Forum employees could vouch for me and so could my friends who had seats near me. But who am I to fight a corporation that big? SHAME ON YOU StubHub, accusing people of doing things they did not and charging them too! Next time, make sure you have your story straight! I don't really understand why I'm being accused of using a ticket and the other person not having access when the person gained access before me and I was the one embarrassed after all!

We were told that they were voided because they had been re-printed by another party. I realized at this point that my tickets had just sold. My friend decided to leave (his GF was not coming) and the rest of us entered the venue. I went to the seats that I had posted for purchase to verify the tickets had been sold. I met the purchaser and saw his printed tickets.

Days later, I was paid by StubHub for my sale, and almost immediately, they took the money out of my account, claiming the purchaser had not been able to use his tickets and was denied entry to the venue. I spent over a month trying to make StubHub understand that they were conned by this purchaser. I sent proof in the form of photos, videos and email conversations to show that this person was lying that I made a legitimate sale for which I needed to be compensated. Not only did StubHub not grant me the money, but they charged me an additional $160 penalty claiming that I inconvenienced the buyer!

I tried to go up the chain of command but the rep, Dominique at Marketplace Investigations, refused to listen to grant me access to anyone else. I went to my bank to try and fight it through them. They contacted StubHub and were told the same lies, that the buyer was not granted access (I had proof he was granted access) and that my 2 tickets were actually used by me. Both statements are false and StubHub never showed any proof of such activity, while I had tons of proof. My bank said it was beyond their capacity and that I had to deal with StubHub again. I tried repeatedly to have someone at StubHub actually review my proof, evidence, facts, witness statements and photos and video to no avail.

I've never had such a frustrating experience. I lost hundred of dollars on my tickets and was charged a penalty because the buyer conned StubHub out of charging him and they refused to see it. I'm assuming they stuck to their decision in order to save face. Otherwise, I cannot explain the unprofessional, unethical and unfair treatment I received from Dominique **, Dustin **, Kaitlen **, Rebecca ** and the entire claims support department at StubHub. When my husband called to report that he saw his seats he already paid StubHub online they said they would "look" into it. They never took his posting down. My husband called back 5 hours later and they told him at this point the seller has done nothing wrong "yet". They said he had until 12 midnight the night before the game to upload them!

They gave him way too much time!! Thus was allowed to sell at a higher price and we were offered other seats. We were so stressed. We gave StubHub 4200 dollars! Our money was tied up for weeks with no tix. Then sure enough he sold them for higher and our sale was finally cancelled. They released our money but not before begging us to take some other seats that were of less value. This practice is allowed because they give the buyer back all their money and charge the seller. They charge the seller 40 percent plus our fees. It makes them more money but caused the buyer grief headaches and stress! Never again! I repeat don't buy tickets unless barcode has been uploaded!!

This week I had a very upsetting experience with StubHub. I purchased tickets for a show this Saturday. I bought the tickets from StubHub in May. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for them. Over the weekend I got a phone message and email that the tickets I purchased were invalid. I call first thing Monday morning. The gentlemen on the phone was nice and said they would re-issue tickets of the same or better and that they would email them to me.

On Tuesday morning I still have not heard from anyone. I called Tuesday morning and they said the seller gave us the wrong tickets for the wrong day and they will find me other tickets or get my money back and will email them to me. No email Tuesday so I called again. After talking to the person on the phone telling me they offered me new tickets, worse than the ones I had. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I spoke with the supervisor for awhile, and we agreed on different set of ticket, and he gave me 1/2 my money back.

I was grateful and appreciative. He emailed them to me and I printed them out. Wednesday night I get a message, "The tickets you purchased are invalid." REALLY! I thought it was a mistake. So I call again and it is true the new set were invalid. After more long conversations with the phone rep and supervisor. They refunded my money. I asked for someone from the corporate office would call me in the morning so we could discuss my situation, and he said, "No one will call you. We don't do that." This is the short version of my situation, but after explaining what happened to a different person every time I called in I am exhausted. I rarely write reviews, but I don't want this to happen to another person. This was a terrible experience.

Ordered last minute tickets to NCLS game 4 from StubHub as a gift. Selecting location, price, etc went fine on their site. Payment process went smoothly. The only glitch is that tickets weren't available for about 3 hrs, which wasn't really a problem but a little disconcerting for finalizing travel plans. Tickets on app were accepted at the game and everyone had a great time. Although many of the following reviews are negative and, honestly scared me a bit during my wait between payment and delivery, I would not hesitate to use StubHub again. In hindsight, would price shop a little next time but seemed easy to go with a well-known company and prices were in the range I expected. Overall, based on my experience, no qualms recommending to my family or friends.

I have always wanted to get them tickets to go found these on StubHub. I spent $145 on them! After I received them in the mail I noticed they have student ID required on them. Called to find out what I can do about it. It was not posted very clear on the site. Obviously I would not have bought them otherwise. They were absolutely no help at all!! They told me to try to sell them again. Chance of not selling them and just losing out on my money! So now I'm stuck with two worthless tickets! And no gift for my husband and son because I spend all that money on worthless tickets, that they will not help correct! DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!!

I sold a ticket on SH recently. The only ticket option available was ticket in hand, although my tickets are electronic (mobile ticket). I didn't think much of being able to 1. Change it to electronic by calling customer service or 2. Advising the buyer of the great news - no mailing needed, I can send the ticket to you electronically. I was initially stomped by the tone of the SH reps who sounded like this may not be possible. HUH? Who wouldn't want their tickets electronically vs in the mail shipment? Still not realizing, I go about my day. SH calls me this evening to say the buyer DOES NOT WANT THEIR TICKET ELECTRONICALLY and wants to cancel the purchase. Wait what? Yeah, the buyer prefers to get the ticket by mail.

SH's hustle is this; if you sell a ticket on their site, they get a very small cut. But if a sale is cancelled, the seller's CC is charged the whopping price of about 90% of the ticket price. I sold a ticket for $51, SH's cut was $5 and change. The sale was cancelled and my card was charged $41. Yep FORTY ONE DOLLARS. So you see the amount of money they make if a sale is cancelled? And I then understood why they'd rather say it was cancelled because it benefits them. I'll never ever ever use their service to list or sell anything. It's one thing to say, "Although the sale was cancelled, we still collect $5 and change, our fee". How do they justify collecting the cost of a ticket that didn't sell??? I'll be fighting this one. That's beyond ridiculous.

I made a purchase today on StubHub for two NHL tickets. Awesome deal... Order was cancelled 15 minutes later. I called and spoke to a representative to find out why my order was canceled. I was told that the tickets were fraudulent, non-usable, and that the order was canceled for my own protection. Basically, I got scammed and I should be thankful that this was caught, so that I didn't have fake tickets for a game I wanted to attend with my son. Fast forward 20 minutes later, the exact same tickets are on StubHub again, and the cost is significantly more!! So, I called again into StubHub to see what was going on. Because, if these are indeed fraudulent tickets and why are they back online? This time, the representative tells me that there was a glitch in the system and I shouldn't have gotten the tickets for the price that I did.

Then after peddling in circles the representative told me that the seller mislabeled the tickets, and the price, so they canceled the order for him. I told the rep what the first rep told me, as this is unacceptable. She didn't seem to care. Either way, this was a completed transaction and customer service handled very poorly. If this was a glitch in the StubHub system, they should have made it right with the seller, period. As the buyer, not my problem, unless the tickets didn't exist, which they do. And - If the seller listed his tickets for an incorrect price, it is my understanding, when reading the terms and conditions listed by StubHub, that it's irrelevant; and because I paid for the tickets, they were mine, and ready to download, this is a completed transaction - and that the seller CANNOT cancel this transaction, just to list the tickets at a higher price.

Either way, StubHub messed up. And as a buyer, they neglected to take my completed transaction into consideration, caring only about their bottom dollar and revenue, not me as a consumer. I'm not a legal expert on consumer trade, but I'm pretty sure that this whole transaction was handled very poorly, and shady enough - how Leah all the whole thing is, I'm not sure... And from an ethical standpoint, StubHub clearly does not care about any of their buyers. All the customer service reps I spoke with were rude, and did not care... Not to mention the first one LIED about why my transaction was cancelled in the first place. If these calls are recorded... all that information is there. I'm very disappointed and think this may warrant further consultation, as to how this was handled on their end.

This organization entitles itself to unethical if not illegal access to your credit cards accounts to make unauthorized charges. I purchased a ticket to a Roger Waters concert in Las Vegas through Stub Hub but due to flight cancels and an uncertainty that I would make the trip, I placed the ticket up for purchase. A soon time later, I CANCELLED the listing and made the concert, ticket honored as valid without issue. The NEXT DAY I received a notification a purchase transaction was in process. I never received any sort or payment, credit, anything.

Stub Hub went forward to actually charge my credit card AGAIN which despite my report that it was cancelled and no one went to the concert BUT ME - no other buyer. My credit card co. agreed this was fraudulent and reversed the charge. Stub Hub continued to make rules as they go and charge me a penalty fee which has since gone to collections. I kind of wish I didn't have to write a review, but I wanted to share my experience and hope it will be of value to other buyers in the future for StubHub. I bought a ticket for a concert a few weeks ago. It was a sold out show and I had no other way of finding tickets other than StubHub. On the day of the show, I got to the venue in Los Angeles and I went in line. Many people bought their tickets when they went on sale on the website that offered them. A guy comes out and says something like if you bought your tickets from a third party, you won't be able to go in. I said I bought mine from StubHub and he said I should be fine, but they will check and see. Later, he comes out again and says he is going to do pre-entry into the venue to check IDs and IDs must match the name of the person who bought the ticket and if we don't have names that match, we need to go to the back of the line.

He was being general, so I believe he suggested this included StubHub. So after waiting about 15 minutes or so to get pre-entered, a guy in front of me has a problem. He explains to the guy that he got his ticket from someone else in Palmdale and that it was a gift. Long way from Los Angeles! The guy checking IDs told him to step aside. Next I came up. I said I was the guy who had the ticket I got from StubHub. He said that I will not be allowed entry and that this was the rules on the sale of the ticket. So I called StubHub immediately. After waiting a little on the phone, I get someone and I explain to them that I am not allowed entry into the venue because I have someone else's name printed on my ticket and it had to match.

They said sorry, issued me a full refund and a 35 dollar voucher. StubHub did make an attempt to make the situation right, I will give them that. I just don't understand why they allowed those tickets to be on sale in the first place. I personally don't agree with the system of IDs matching the ticket (because mine was a legit resale), but if that's the way the venues and/or promoters are going to be, then StubHub need to find a way to make sure those kind of tickets never reach other buyers. Other than that, I feel I am satisfied with my experience. Never had a problem with StubHub up until that point.

I'm a longtime, very satisfied StubHub user... both selling and buying. Never had an issue. Yesterday, I purchased some Hamilton tickets (Los Angeles) for an excellent price. Order was confirmed, and then a few hours later cancelled by the seller. StubHub offered me a paltry $100 voucher to use on future purchases. I asked for replacement comparable seats, which there were thousands. I even said I would take tickets for any of the 100+ shows for rest of 2017, and within 3 rows of my seats... there was plenty of inventory. They refused. Basically, the FanProtect guarantee means nothing.

If my tickets are cancelled/fake, then there are three options: I get my money back, and StubHub penalizes the seller 40% of cost: StubHub wins, I have not lost money, but have no tickets! Of course since I paid with a credit card (as most people do), I could have just contested the charge and gotten my money back from Visa/Amex! Either way I get my money back. Tickets' prices are lower since my purchase. StubHub buys those tickets, makes money on my purchase (difference between my purchase price and replacement) and penalizes seller 40%, thereby making money on both sides of transaction. Personally, it would be better for me if they just refunded my money and I could then repurchase. But of course they won't do it as that wouldn't be as profitable.

Ticket prices go up since my purchase. StubHub refunds my money and I'm out of luck. Meanwhile, StubHub penalizes seller 40% so they still make a decent profit. Or maybe they charge them to full replacement cost and never send me the tickets. How would either the buyer or seller ever know! If you read the seller agreement, the seller is either on hook for a 40% penalty or replacement cost... whichever is greater. In this case, the amount was probably around $1000 (considering StubHub wouldn't have to pay a commission if they bought tickets from the listings). Why didn't they charge the seller in this case? My guess is the seller was an active seller/ticket broker, and that relationship was more important than my dozen transactions per year.

StubHub kept insisting that this was a very rare case... cancelled sales don't happen too often. But my argument was that is what the guarantee was supposed to cover. And the amazing thing is StubHub wasn't even on the hook for the money... the seller was! Plus, StubHub's definition of "comparable" tickets is different than everyone else in the universe. You and I think, same section, within a few rows… maybe stage left instead of stage right. However, StubHub incorporates cost into the equation... so if I paid $100, and the tickets now go for $500, they aren't comparable even if they have the identical face value and are right next to each other. WTF!?!

So in a nutshell, anytime you buy tickets from StubHub and the market moves against you (or you got a great deal on the tickets), the seller can renege and you are most likely out of luck. FYI, there was a high profile incident like this regarding Kobe Bryant's last game at Staples. StubHub said they were going to change their policies... clearly they didn't. I'm not sure if I want to give a company like that my business in the future. Caveat Emptor!

I normally don't do this, but this has been the most ridiculous experience I have had with a customer service group. I recently purchased tickets to a John Mayer concert. Come to find out I was unable to attend the concert, I ended up selling them through StubHub for less than what I bought them. Okay; no big deal. It was my fault to begin with. A few days later I receive an email stating the concert was a week away and asked if I was ready for it. I thought this to be strange since I had sold the tickets, so I log into my account and notice two tickets under my name as being active as if I was still attending the concert. I thought maybe I accidentally bought two additional tickets without realizing it so I listed the tickets and they sold right away. Perfect, everything was going good. StubHub sent me the money for all the tickets I sold and Paypal confirmed it. This is where things get suspicious.

The day of the concert I receive an email from StubHub stating that my order had been cancelled because the tickets were invalid. WHAT? A day after the concert I receive another email stating the original price I sold them for ($99.00) was being taken out of my account as well as an additional fee of $49.50. I called customer support to figure out why and how they're able to automatically take money out of my account and lo and behold they tell me I sold the same tickets twice. If I originally sold the tickets once why are they still under my account available for me to access to use or sell? Their policies and fees are hidden and the customer support team is horrendous.

They'll sit there and argue with you and if you ask for a manager they'll tell you they're all busy. After spending 1.5 hours on the phone they agree it doesn't make sense to be able to sell tickets, but yet still have access and the ability to either use or resell the tickets again so they offer me 50% of the fee they charged me back ($24). How ridiculous is it that I have to spend so much time on the phone arguing to then have them agree with me and then only give me 50% of what they charged me back. I will never buy/sell on StubHub again after this experience. I only wish I would have saw this site prior to doing business with them. It seems they have a lot of complaints against their customer service team.

I don’t check that email every day, glad I somehow did today. Then I spent an hour waiting on the phone for someone who can assist me. Then the representative said unfortunately the seller couldn’t provide the tickets, and all tickets are sold out on their website already, all they can do is to refund me the money and give me a 10% off coupon that I can use within a year. 1. I purchased the tickets on 8/20, it’s Saturday, 9/2, today, and the concert is next Tuesday, 9/5. 2. Now I have to purchase that on the site. I usually buy resale tickets again with an additional $110. 3. Since it’s too close to the concert, the ticket won’t be delivered to my place, I will have to pick them up myself (please pray for me I will get them without any troubles).

Of course I am extremely upset because it is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. What if I can’t even buy any tickets at this moment and I have been waiting for this for so long? Can A full refund make up for this and fix their reputation? StubHub said they will give me the tickets regardless the price difference if they weren’t all sold out on their website. Oh yes? How about you buy the tickets from others and give them to me? I heard you guys charge sellers a lot of money for penalties?

And then the 10% off coupon went from 10% off to $20 off for next purchase (maybe it’s based on my order which was worth about $203. Yeah I know, who cares? Just want to point out how careful they are with their money though). Would I use their service again just for that $20 if they suck like this? And put myself at risk of not being able to make it to the concert I want or I will have to pay $110 or more afterward? A lot of people told me to try StubHub, so I did. Now I am just extremely disappointed and frustrated.

I purchased a ticket from stubhub.com on August 17, 2017 and selected to use my PayPal account to complete payment. After making my purchase, I noticed a withdrawal on my checking account. I logged into my bank account and saw that a withdrawal to PayPal had been made in the amount I paid to StubHub for my ticket that should have gone onto my PayPal credit. My PayPal settings are to utilize my PayPal credit as my primary form of payment. I logged into my PayPal account to verify that these were still my account settings, and they were. I also saw that PayPal had a transaction for the amount requesting to draw on my bank account as the selected source.

I went into my StubHub account settings to see if there were management options that govern PayPal from within that (there should not be), and there were none. There was no indication at time of payment, or any settings or disclosures anywhere within StubHub of anything other than "PayPal" being used to complete my purchase. I inquired about the issue with StubHub via their live chat, and was informed that StubHub maintains their own, independent PayPal payment settings that cannot be seen or managed by the user, that override the user's default PayPal settings to favor their bank account, and that the only way to override these settings is to have no PayPal account associated with the user's StubHub account at the time of purchase, and to add PayPal as a form of payment at purchase time, and specifically choose PayPal credit at that moment.

Since there is no way for a user to know this, nor control it, I demanded StubHub reverse the charge to my bank account, since it was not authorized, and appropriately charge my PayPal account so that my PayPal credit would be utilized. I was informed that they did not know how to do this, but that someone from their "payments team" would contact me within 48 hours, or, because of the coming weekend, Monday, 8/21, at the absolute latest. No one ever contacted me by phone or email about the issue. I inquired again via live chat on 8/26, and was told that no one contacted me because no one could figure out how to fix my issue, and therefore no one would fix my issue. I consider this fraud, since I did not authorize the payment method. I believe interest is due me, and I believe the payment should be corrected, even if doing so much be achieved manually.

I have requested resolution through Stubhub.com, PayPal.com, Advantis Credit Union, California's Department of Consumer Affairs, and the San Francisco County District Attorney's Office. All of those who have responded so far have been in denial of having any ability to resolve the issue, which includes StubHub, PayPal, Advantis, and DCA. Since the cause of the issue is StubHub.com and their questionable, if not illegal, secret payment settings and policies, the complaint is against them, and I believe the onus of resolution falls on them.

StubHub now requires CELL PHONE data for you to get a ticket. Really. StubHub is a piece of crap agent. When purchasing the ticket, you are know hounded with SPECIAL OFFERS... God forbid you forget to uncheck one. The cell phone app is no better, hounding you again and again and again to receive offers. GO AWAY!!! All I wanted was a crummy ticket you piece of crap operation. And the fees are still outrageous for the service and the inevitable spamming that will result from having to use the app. Stay away at all costs.

I listed tickets as row2 and they sold. The buyer complained as the tickets say row 4. Rows 1&2 were removed a few years ago so row 4 is the actual the 2nd row. I was told to prove this and I did have the University prove it to Stubhub and the buyer. I was told the buyer did not care and was returning the tickets. Obviously they just decided not to go to the game and this gave them an excuse to return the tickets. The tickets were not returned for two weeks and arrived just 3 days before the game. Despite this Stubhub billed me for the return and it was over $300.

When I posted 2 tickets for sale in the new Atlanta stadium for the September 4 Tennessee - Georgia Tech game, apparently I chose the wrong section on the site by mistake. My seats are in Club Section 212, which is on the 45 yard line (home team side). Apparently, my mistake was choosing Suite 212, which is on the goal line (home team side). I used the Stub Hub drop down menu to pick the seats from the options given. (I should also note that I had tickets sold on Stub Hub for another event and the same procedure was used. That buyer has kept his tickets with no concerns raised.) I will add these tickets were posted around July 10th, and sold to this buyer within about a week. And I had the lowest prices in the section by a good bit (175 purchase price, being resold for 395).

To make a long story short, the buyer didn't want those seats, because he thought they were in a suite. I did argue with the Stub Hub people about this, that the buyer probably has buyer remorse because other seats in that section are even listed for less than mine. So on August 14, I was notified by Stub Hub that the tickets would be returned to me. Today is August 21 (2 weeks before event) and I still have no tickets. What I do have is a reversal of the money deposited in my PayPal account (billed to my credit card) and a penalty fee (also billed to my credit card). My PayPal funds were deposited on August 17 by the way. So I called Stub Hub today about this. Megan was right on the case, and she called the buyer.

After about 10-15 minutes on hold, Megan gets back on the line with me, and says the buyer was being difficult and had deliberately held on to my tickets and was keeping them "hostage" (her words, not mine). But she seemed to have convinced him to return them to me. So when I got home, I immediately called my credit card company and filed a dispute. And then I get on the Stub Hub chat, and talked to Khloe **, so I could get a transcript of all this. She took my info, and apologized. And called the buyer and basically got him to agree to send the tickets back by UPS tomorrow at the latest. So that means I get them Thursday. At the earliest. I will see what happens. I am not going to re-list these on Stub Hub for sure. I will never use them again. But I am not going to list them on another site until I see they have shipped.

At the end of this, Stub Hub gets their 10% commission on the original sale, gets their return fee, and the buyer gets replacement tickets at the original price he paid me. What do I get? Well let's just say it hurts to sit down right now, because that is where they stuck it to me. Is this fraud? It seems like it to me. Especially where the Stub Hub rep Megan told me what the buyer told her about keeping the tickets "hostage". Thank you for providing this forum.

We purchased tickets to Harry Potter production in London... I don't know where to begin with this horrendous experience. The theater does not recognize tickets bought on the secondary market! That includes any tickets bought on StubHub. We did not find this out until the day before the show. After traveling abroad to London to see the show we were told that tickets were invalidated by the theater. Needless to say Stub Hub has been obnoxious to deal with and has not agreed to refund our money despite documentation from the theater that they sold us fraudulent tickets. Will not use Stub Hub again!

I purchased a ticket from StubHub for a Coldplay concert at Metlife Stadium on August 1, 2017. Five minutes before the concert was to start I received a phone call on my cell stating that the ticket was not available and that a substitute ticket is being issued to me via email. I checked my email and saved to my phone before heading to the concert - luckily we weren't already there!! When I got to the ticket venue I was told by the custodian that no such row existed for the new ticket issued to me. I was provided by StubHub a substitute ticket for a seat that was not even in the venue. This was my first and very last purchase through StubHub!!! Buyer beware!!
