What is Event Tickets Center?

Event Tickets Center is an online resale marketplace for tickets to concerts, sporting events, Broadway shows and other events. You can shop by city, artist, date and popular events and venues. The website sells MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL, NASCAR, PGA, college sports, tennis, boxing and WWE tickets and tickets for Broadway shows, concerts in all genres and special events like Coachella and awards shows.

For an additional fee, ETC offers ticket insurance, which covers 100% of your ticket price if you are unable to attend an event and provides concierge service to assist with parking and hotel searches. The company also offers a 100% guarantee on all its tickets, which ensures a refund (minus shipping) in any of the following cases:

  • Your order was accepted but not delivered
  • Your order was accepted but not delivered in time
  • Your tickets were not valid
  • Your event is canceled

How does Event Tickets Center work?

Event Tickets Center gets most tickets from the secondary market, so many are listed below face value. Its sellers must be registered; some have special deals with teams, band managers or event promoters. Many ETC listings feature eTickets, which can be delivered directly by email or text. Delivery methods vary by seller and event, but you’re guaranteed on-time receipt of any tickets you buy on the site. Often, ETC offers some last-minute and same-day tickets.

The site doesn’t list seat numbers, but for group sales the seller must indicate if the seats are split; otherwise, all seats purchased at once are guaranteed to be together. Sellers are responsible for processing payments and refunds.

Event Tickets Center fees

Event Tickets Center charges a service fee for all transactions. This amount depends on the sale price, number of tickets and other factors. The average service fee from ETC is 31.5%. Delivery charges also apply. ETC ticket prices are set by sellers and can vary greatly.

Event Tickets Center FAQ

Is Event Tickets Center reliable?

ETC is a marketplace, so every seller is different. Sellers must register with ETC to conduct sales through the site. The company guarantees receipt of its tickets before the event — or your money is refunded (note that refunds are issued by the seller, not ETC).

Does Event Tickets Center have a ticket guarantee?

Event Tickets Center backs every ticket purchase with a 100% guarantee, which covers purchase price and service fees (minus shipping) in case of order issues, including:

  • Your order was accepted but not delivered
  • Your order was accepted but not delivered in time
  • Your tickets were not valid
  • Your event is canceled
Does Event Tickets Center sell electronic tickets?

Event Tickets Center offers many tickets in electronic form. These eTickets are available to download and print.

Can I list tickets on Event Tickets Center?

You must be registered to list tickets on ETC’s site.

Is Event Tickets Center legit?

Event Tickets Center makes ticket shopping convenient with its thousands of searchable events. If you want last-minute tickets, tickets to sold-out shows or tickets cheaper than face value, you might find what you need through ETC. The company backs all purchases with a 100% guarantee; however, the sellers are responsible for processing refunds.

This "company" is a total scam and rip off.! Do NOT spend money with them! They will gouge you for 3-5 times the ticket value and then refuse refunds. They were as helpful as a hemorrhoid on the phone. Also zero stars if that was an option.

Do not purchase tickets from Event Tickets Center - they will charge 2-3x more than face value for tickets that you can purchase directly from the venue's website at face value. Example: Event Tickets Center will charge you $136.16 for (1) DL Hughley ticket at Wiseguys Comedy Club in SLC but if you buy it directly from wiseguyscomedy.com, the price is $54.96 for the exact same ticket. Do not be ripped off! Plus many venues will not honor tickets bought on third-party sites like eventticketscenter.com. Buyer Beware!!!!

I was alerted by American Express that there looked to be a fraudulent charge on my account. There was. I immediately emailed the business to cancel. Then, I immediately called the business. I spent 25 min on 1-800-361-7978 with a call rep. She read the same short script multiple times. She said she was not authorized to make a refund. She put me on hold and claimed she "chatted" with refund authority and was told not to issue a refund. I asked to be escalated. She said she could not as she only had "chat" access. I asked for her name and employee number. She would not provide. I asked for an email from the company explaining the decision. She would not provide. All of this is exceptionally unethical, if not illegal, given I called within 5 minutes. It seems many complaints have been made against this business.

I would like to give it zero stars, but I couldn't submit the review. This website is a total and complete SCAM! Do not buy "tickets" from here. I ordered "tickets" at a ridiculous price and kept getting e-mails saying the tickets were released and to look for a link in an email. That e-mail was never received. When I checked on Ticketmaster, the seats I allegedly purchased weren't even available. Had to go through my bank and close an account to avoid auto payment for something I never received. SCAM! Stay far away and do not utilize this site.

Beware of Event Tickets Center’s Pricing and Marketing Practices. I recently purchased a ticket from Event Ticket Center, believing I was buying from an official vendor. Their website was the first result in my search, and since I was looking for a ticket to a specific event, I assumed they were the primary seller. However, I later discovered that I had paid $181.55 for a ticket that another vendor was selling for $62.50—nearly three times the price!

Only after the purchase did I realize that Event Ticket Center is a reseller, not the official ticket provider. If I had known this earlier, I would have checked other sources before committing to the purchase. I feel that their pricing and marketing practices are misleading, and I wish I had been given clearer information before making my decision.

When I reached out to request a refund due to the significant price discrepancy, I was informed that all sales are final. They offered a partial credit instead, but with a restocking fee, and the credit could only be used on their website. In my opinion, this does not seem like a fair resolution, as it forces customers to continue using their platform despite the high markups.

Concerns About Pricing and Marketing Tactics:

Search Result Placement – Their website appeared at the very top of my search results. Whether this was due to paid ads, SEO tactics, or another factor, the result was that I mistakenly believed they were an official ticket vendor.

Pricing Discrepancies – I was charged nearly three times what another vendor was asking for the same section and row. I was not aware at the time that I was buying from a reseller.

Lack of Transparency – Nowhere during checkout was it made explicitly clear that Event Ticket Center is not the primary ticket seller. If I had seen a clear disclaimer, I would have reconsidered my purchase.

Strict No-Refund Policy – Even in cases where customers realize they paid a much higher price, Event Ticket Center does not provide refunds, only store credit with fees deducted.

      Advice for Other Buyers:

Check multiple sources before purchasing tickets—go directly to the venue’s official website or well-known primary ticket sellers.
Be cautious with search results—the first result is not always the official seller, and it’s important to verify before buying.

Consider whether you’re comfortable with final sales—if there’s no refund policy, you could end up overpaying with no recourse.

I am sharing my experience so that others can make informed decisions. If Event Tickets Center resolves this issue fairly, I will update my review accordingly.

The site was efficient with the purchase process. But it is WAAAY too overpriced, feels like a middle-man highway robbery. The face value of the 2 tickets I bought for a Phil Hanley comedy show was $60. On my credit card the charge total was $250.00. So if you're rich, then go ahead and burn money by using this site. Otherwise take the time to find other ways to get the tickets. This site should be called the Rip-Off Center (ROC). Stay away IMHO.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I supposedly purchased tickets for a show recently and got some emails about them releasing my tickets to Ticket Master. Day of the show I logged in and couldn't find any emails with tickets from this company, nor did I find any tickets in my TicketMaster account. As I struggled through emails, presenting them to the ticket taker, she finally told me that if I purchased tickets anywhere other than TicketMaster, that I did not actually purchase tickets. So, I had to then buy another ticket at the box office. When I called the company, the rep told me I was supposed to go and accept the tickets from their email for my tickets to be transferred to TicketMaster. Furthermore, when I purchased the tickets prompts made me believe I was actually purchasing the tickets from TicketMaster. I was not. Will never fall for this scam again.

SCAM! BEWARE! I didn't look close enough when I searched for an event and accidently clicked on Event Ticket Center's site, thinking it was the venue's ticket selling site. I overpaid by $130 per ticket! No luck getting my money back. Lesson learned.

Ordered by mistake since I misread the dates and asked for a refund immediately since the say the offer 100% money back. They email me saying that they do not refund tickets. I would not recommend this site to anybody since they also charge prices way too high even when the event is booked. The only reason I ordered with them is because it was the first site that came up.

Like others have said, this site looks like you're buying from the venue but charge astronomical fees and do not immediately send you your tickets, they simply say "you will receive them before the event when you purchase them." Those are totally unacceptable business practices.
