The enrollment was easy, and the learning process was organized. It wasn't too overwhelming, but it wasn't easy either. The students have to have a schedule and be somewhat organized because nobody's telling them what to do. They have to know when to respond to a post and when to submit assignments. Also, all the professors are good except I had a problem with one of them, but that was addressed and my issue was fixed. Overall, I would recommend University of Arizona. If someone's looking to work a full-time job and still be able to go to school, but not have to physically be there, it's a good choice.

My enrollment adviser at University of Arizona did a very good job of taking me step by step. If there was any information I needed to update, she called. She was a consistent contact, so it was really easy. Also, I failed to go through the orientation to navigate through the site but everything was simple once you learn it. I signed up with University of Arizona with my friend as a bit of a challenge. Then once I got into classes, I saw how easy it was to get the work done and even though I had everything else going on in my life, I could still take care of school.

My only gripe would be about some of my psychology classes. They seemed to be a little bit more objective than subjective and that bothered me a bit, especially on the grading. But the workload wasn't bad. If you don't keep up with what you're doing and your assignments, then you'll feel like it's too much. But if you're doing it as you should or even before, because towards the end I got to turn it in my assignment before they were due, then the workload is pretty steady. I had one professor that was super-duper engaged and would contact you about assignments. I also had two professors who were quick to respond. Then the rest were the same old song and dance that most colleges do. All in all, my biggest takeaway in studying at University of Arizona would be that anything is possible because I was able to do so much. And this degree helped me get promoted in the job that I work in.

The doctoral program is horrible here. You can get a response for 3-4 days. They decrease your aid by half once you're 3/4 of the way done with your first class. Your student loans don’t come in until you're almost 2 months into the program and no one knows what’s going on. Horrible school. Stay away from this school unless you want a lot of headaches and stress.

There are some points where I wish University of Arizona touched a bit more on. I got my degree in Early Childhood Education because my plan was to teach either kindergarten or third grade. But the majority of the classes focuses a lot on preschool. It lacked teaching about experiences with children in grade school versus preschool. But overall, it was good. The information I learned helped me understand the profession I plan on going into a lot better. The fact that they had an online library that had millions of resources was a great tool for me to use. I know they also have the tutoring. All of those were extremely beneficial with me as I tried to complete my course work. I recommended a couple of people to the school.

I called UAGC to get a little information about the school curriculum, and their enrollment advisor convinced me. She was really motivational. I did a Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management and my experience at the school was robust. Each class was time-sensitive and I didn't see any professor being biased with the students. They were detailed and they spelled out the expectations at the start of each class, which aligned with the school policy. The professors were very helpful, besides technical issues where you would be referred to IT.

UAGC is a great university. If you want to succeed there, you need to be time-conscious with yourself, understand that you have a focus and a purpose of finishing with a great GPA. And once you have this laid on your table, you can excel in the school. The deans and professors were all professional. They try to work with you even though it's up to the student not to take advantage of the fact that the professor tries to understand. This is for adult education purposely and to take advantage of that. Besides that, the responsibility lies on each individual student as to how they're going to perform. The professors will not determine your grades, the students themselves determine their grades based on their inputs. UAGC's online library and website are excellent as well. All in all, I never regret going there.

I had a great experience with The University of Arizona. If I definitely should have to go back to school again, I would choose them for my graduate school. It was all online, which was great and flexible for me since I was working full-time the whole time. They gave us free Grammarly, which was great to use as a tool to edit our papers. However, they combined the AA, the bachelor's, the doctorate and the master's program during the ceremony and it was long. I hope they can separate that in the future.

When I enrolled with UAGC, the rep, Katie, walked me through everything. She explained my classes and how long it would take. She was still with me for about seven months until I got acclimated into everything and I liked that. She was nice, too. I liked the classes that had to do with the wellness. Those were cool and I learned a lot. The digital tools are good but I wasn't crazy about the library. We were only able to use articles and stories that they were certified scholar and I'm just not that tech-savvy, so I had a hard time finding accurate articles to go with my papers to prove stuff. I felt like the things that were on there were really old or from different countries and didn't relate to what I was looking for. But I made it through regardless.

Towards the end of my last few months in school, I ended up pregnant and taking out a brand-new full-time job with the government. So, my plate was full. I needed an extension for my last paper because they had two major papers due at the same exact time. They gave me a little extension to finish it and that helped me. I was also able to contact the professors and ask them for advice or if I made a mistake or I don't understand something.

The professors that I worked with were very encouraging. The teachers respond very quickly, or if they see you're slacking in an area, they reach out whether it be email or by your personal phone. In a very friendly type of way they assist where needed, even outside the business hours being that everybody has different timeframes. I just finished last year and I'm going back in a couple of weeks for my master's.

Enrolling with UAGC was very quick and simple. It's been at least three turnovers of military liaisons, so they've been very helpful with getting me back on track with school, including the times when I had to be on academic leave or I was away for so long that I had to reapply into my program. I would get things done within a day, so I like the efficiency. Also, compared to lectures in-person, it was a lot more interactive online because you get perspectives a little bit more. I went to college and you don't get much out of your colleagues that are in school with you. So I like the fact that at UAGC, there's a little bit more of interaction and there's a little bit more of a cohesion as far as helping each other when it comes to the assignments.

I like the professors, especially the ones that I was able to reach out to to get a little extra help on an assignment that I didn't quite understand. They even went so far as to have Zoom calls with us so that we could understand the assignment better on the classes I knew I was going to have inevitable trouble on. So they took initiative with having that option available. I would tell others to do UAGC if they do not have the convenience of going to school and experiencing lectures. Plus, there's the commute, incidental costs, and environmental advantage. There's also less of an impulse when you're at home in a controlled environment and you're going to work.

The person who helped me enroll at UAGC was great. He took me through the step-by-step, then he checked on me the next couple of weeks to make sure that everything was moving smoothly. I took a degree in health care and I've worked in health care for 23 years. So being in the health care industry helped me be ready for the health care courses I took. I could use a lot of the stuff I've gone through with my career to then put it towards the schooling topic. It was also super easy to do the online stuff. There were a few times the classrooms were down for something, but it usually happened on a Sunday. So there was hardly any problems with online.

But before the school became the University of Arizona, I wasn't as satisfied with the service. Once it became the University of Arizona, it went a lot better. I was on a grant through my company where my company paid a certain amount, then everything else was a write-off through Ashford and UAGC. When something would go wrong, getting someone to get back to us from Ashford took forever. Whereas, when it was UAGC, it was almost within a day or two they had your answer and they were helping you. There are several people that went to school at the same time as me and they had the same thoughts on it.

I graduated in 2021 then I went on to complete my master's in instructional design and technology in 2023. It was online which made it very easy to do work wherever I was. I like being able to access the portal where all the resources are. I like that everything was made easy for us to get to as far as resources. It was very challenging to go through it and do all the work and there was a lot to get done but it was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. As with any school experience, you have teachers you like and teachers you don't like. I had teachers who challenged me and I felt were constantly picking on me. But no, they weren't. That's just their teaching style. There were some teachers who weren't so engaged. But for the most part, my teachers were engaging. They responded. I didn't have many who were unfair in the way they graded.

Everything was done online and overall, it was pretty smooth. I accomplished my goal in such a short period of time. All of my professors were extremely supportive and they made the experience enjoyable. Even though it was online, my professors stayed in touch with me throughout my entire experience and I could always reach out with questions. I'm pretty happy with the experience and I would recommend that for anyone else.

It was costly but out of all the universities that we looked into, University of Arizona was affordable. I've reached out to them concerning the letters of recommendation as I'm currently getting ready for medical school, and they were extremely receptive. I got my undergrad at U of A Global and I'm currently in their master's program. I got assigned an enrollment advisor and her name was Sonia. The process was super easy and she was super helpful. I've referred a number of co-workers to her directly who have also enrolled in school over the last few months. It's much more difficult in the master's program than getting an undergrad, but it's an investment from a time perspective. Their website is super easy to use and so far, everything is going well. The professors that I've had have been anywhere from good to great. In my undergrad, three out of my four professors have been stellar. One of them was a bit nitpicky on some of the expectations and was straying off of the course syllabus a little.

Sometimes, there are weeks where I find a subject to be not super engaging but some topics are very engaging. And I have a better learning experience with topics that I enjoy or I think I'm going to get something out of. I would tell my friends that if they are looking to enroll in a school and they can figure out how to manage their time really well, U of A Global is a good choice.

I was interested in Arizona University because of the program that it offers that aligned with my career goal. Also, it was one of the many offers from my employer. Enrollment was easy. Somebody walked me through it, and once I started doing it, I was able to manage the rest of it for the rest of my year. The learning experience was really cool. Once you start to be able to navigate through the program and understand the case load per class, you'll be able to balance your personal life around it. I had access to the tutoring on demand, and that was really helpful. Somebody like me who's not necessarily always about reading the book, but have somebody that could talk to me about it helps me grasp it faster.

The instructors were good. For the most part, they were very consistent. Wednesdays and Tuesdays would be different as far as they would add an extra thing or two that they were grading that was a little bit unique. But for the most part, they graded very consistently. They used the rubric that the university had provided at the beginning of the course so that you knew how everything was gonna be graded. I was able to utilize that to know what was gonna be heavy that I really need to focus on. Going to University of Arizona taught me the foundation of what I needed to know to transition into a field of HR, and my biggest takeaway was that I was able to be able to manage going to school while having kids and having a full time job.

The process at The University of Arizona was easy. They walked me through everything. They were with me during the process. I had a wonderful experience. There were a couple of times that I got sick. I got COVID. The instructors worked with me. They allowed and gave me extra time. So that I wouldn't have to take the class over again.

I graduated last February. When you're done, it takes a little bit of time for everything to update. You get an email that says that your diploma is ready. Then you get to choose if you wanna attend the next ceremony or if you wanna do the online one. You have the option. Even if you start out saying that you're gonna go to the in person one and something comes up and you're not able to do it, they reach out about the virtual one so you're able to take part in that. It was a really good experience for me.

They were very clear. I did the education path. They said, "These states don't accept our program." But altogether, there were two states at that time, when I entered into the program. I've been able to secure a teaching job. I'm in a teaching preparatory program for my master’s now through my state. I was just made aware of everything. I was able to ask all the questions. I was clear about what my path was going to be from the very beginning. The hardest part was after graduation, trying to make sure that I got into the teaching preparatory program. It would have been nice if there was something that streamlined that. Like a liaison that can help you saying, "In this state, these are the programs that are available to you." But that was the only drawback that I had to do that on my own. Other than that, everything was good.

I had a wonderful academic adviser and he took me through the steps when I enrolled at the University of Arizona. It was very simple and easy so I appreciated that. My first interaction with the adviser was why I went with them. I've been in early childhood education for over 15 years so it was about time for me to expand on my academic in terms of getting my degree. It was way overtime for me to go back to school and pursue that. So, once I found out that the University of Arizona had early childhood education courses and degrees, it was easier for me. The courses were on point. I have had professors that were a little harsh. But I try to keep an open mind that perhaps, they're trying to be just straight to the course and try to stay on point with their syllabus. Some professors go a little bit overboard sometimes. But other than that, I have had wonderful instructors.

I obtained my degree in Early Childhood Education Administration and then, I obtained my master's in Business Administration. Now, I'm pursuing my PhD. I’ve been trying to get my sister to enroll as well as my son for his master’s. He graduated from Jersey City University here in our town with his bachelor’s degree. I spoke to friends and family, and I explained to them my experience with the University of Arizona. I'm very transparent. I tell them to get ready to write and do a lot of research, which is great, because that's how you learn and get information, through your program. I would tell anyone about the University of Arizona. It has all the information on the student campus. They have professors and academic advisers who would take the time and explain in detail specifically what people are looking for. People can do their research on the University of Arizona and then decide from there. That was what I did and look where I'm at.

The recruiters tell you the class will be five to six weeks and you will have the flexibility to do work when you wanna get done as long as your tests are done when assigned and your work is completed by the end of the term. That works great with my lifestyle because I have a professional career as well and two young children. But once you get into the University of Arizona, you have to have these discussion posts done every week and if they're not done every week and you don't have your responses done by a Tuesday and a Thursday, then you lose all those points. So I have to log on and do everything on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and then some assignments on Fridays.

A lot of times, the discussion boards were not neutral. Everybody in the class was answering the same questions so you're using the same quote out of the book and it's not adding to anything. Besides that, it was to try to build a community so you could get to know your classmates. But we're all adults and we're not typically gonna make a friendship within six weeks with these people. I'm here to just get my schoolwork done, gain the knowledge that I need to gain and move on. I've been to in-person college classes, which was where I got my first degree and you're not graded on participation. I don't have to raise my hand every so many times in class to get that grade, and the University of Arizona is using participation in these discussion boards as part of the grade. That’s a lot of busy work and a waste of time.

Using the discussion boards for discussion was great but that typically wasn't what they were used for. They were used for putting up a question and we need to answer it. You need to respond to at least two other people in the discussion group with at least 200 words, plus at least one to three sources. That's not a true discussion board. They're assigning extra work, which is fine, but don't call it a discussion board. And don't tell people when they're signing up that they have till the end of six weeks to get all this done because that's not true. That part was a little bit harder because I had to regauge my family time with my career time, and my personal time as well.

I have mentioned the University of Arizona to a few of my other staff and they have signed up. I was very honest with them. I said there were a lot of good things but be prepared that they will have these discussion boards and it is busy work. So they should be prepared mentally when they sign up that that's something they're gonna have to have. But for everything else, there are a lot of sources out there. There's a robust career opportunity for degrees and fields to study. I enjoyed the actual classes and I just don't like to do busy work. It's not beneficial to me and my career growth. It didn’t give any knowledge bases nor grow my knowledge more than doing the assignments. I graduated with my BA and decided not to continue with my master's.

The advisers were very helpful and knowledgeable. But some of the classes were a bit dumbed down. I had one teacher whom I had a bit of an issue with because she was quick to call out different formatting of how she wanted things to be written. Yet when she would write her emails back, there were several misspellings, mispunctuation and my name was spelled wrong. She couldn't even send me a legitimate email that was proofread. When I challenged her on it and sent her a review of her email highlighted with all of her misspellings, she took another look at my work and increased my grade. But it was one of those things that, as a proctor, she should be more attentive if she's doing the grading and what she's sending out, especially as an English teacher.

The accumulation started to get weird and I had to call about that and the rep said it was just the way that the website calculates. And when you graduate, that department doesn't necessarily correlate with the other departments and so you have to keep asking when you do call. They’d tell you to keep checking the website and that it should be updated soon. For people being out of state, it makes it a little bit harder because we have to pre-plan our lives to travel if we want to go to it. But other than that, the website is very user-friendly to get assignments and find your classes.

I took a year off because the school where I was at was giving me a hard time. It took a while for me to fix my FAFSA issue. And they were there to help. The enrollment experience at the Univeristy of Arizona was super easy. I really liked the learning experience. I like the fast-paced short classes where I was able to finish in four weeks. It was easy. Their program is a lot easier to deal with than other schools. The instructors really help and want you to complete your education. They're very understanding. If you ever need anything from them, they reach out and you can also reach out to them.

They were readily available to answer any questions. Although, it's different because you're in a virtual environment. But the way we have to interact with one another helped with making it less boring. They made us interact with other students in the classroom and that was a bonus too. I also was military so I didn't have to pay for anything. I used my GI Bill. Then when I was on active duty, I used the tuition assistance. It was a great experience overall.

If I had a better idea of what the learning process would look like, I would have been a lot more prepared. I failed a couple of classes because I didn't know what I was getting myself into.

Apply for scholarships and understand what your financial needs are in terms of school. If you don't have the money for it, think your finances through thoroughly. I failed to follow up with financial aid and now I owe the school a couple of grand.

When you enroll with University of Arizona Global, you get connected to an advisor right away who gets all the legwork done for you. Just give them the name of the school, and they'll get your transcript of records for you. Some of the professors were exceptional. They made themselves available. My learning experience was great. I'm stronger as a result of them plus the resources they provided. It is self-taught, and to some degree, there’s a fixed schedule, but it is self-paced within that schedule. There's flexibility of pulling an all-nighter if that's all you got, or chipping away at it when you can.

COVID hit and I became a full time at-home teacher and sole provider. I was able to put school way on the backside because there was no pressure to get anything done. In over a year, I got one semester's worth of credits done, which is better than nothing. But had I gone to Arizona, I would have graduated a year earlier because that five-week thing is flexible enough, but it's a good pace to make sure that you're not slipping behind. It's the right amount of pressure to make sure you keep making steady progress, but not so much that you cannot live, do anything, or go anywhere because you have unreasonable class meetings.

I paid nothing for school. The only time I ever paid for anything was the $80 to get my cap and gown. You had to get the cap and gown in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. But by buying that cap and gown, you had unlimited guests, so a good chunk of my family went. Also, one of my favorite musicians, Kendrick Lamar, happened to be at that. I recommend University of Arizona Global to people all the time, and I've got three that have enrolled.

The enrollment process with the University of Arizona Global was easy. The fact that it was fast-paced made it difficult because the classes weren't gonna be five weeks. There were courses where they required us to read our books but by the time we finished reading the chapter, I barely had time to read it, and an assignment was due. I felt like the teachers mainly just assigned work and didn't really get involved any further than that aside from submitting comments or when they graded our work. But a lot of the time, it just felt like I was teaching myself, and not just with the materials that the school provided, but with outside sources like YouTube and googling stuff. Because of how fast-paced it was, it didn't seem like I was learning directly from the teachers. I would typically email them, but sometimes I couldn't get ahold of them right there and then. I would have to email them and I would have to wait for them to respond.

If I had a question on an assignment or I was confused about an assignment, waiting for them to respond already took a day or so. Overall, they provided all the materials, and the fact that they partnered with my job so it could be a grant was perfect. It's just I might have missed a few things here and there because I was basically self-taught. It's good if you wanna get your degree fast, but if you wanna get something out of it and really feel like you've learned something, then I wouldn't recommend it.

The enrollment process was very fast and really easy. I put in my information online to enroll and gotten up to use the bathroom. While I was gone, someone already called me to enroll me. It was Jenny B. She got me enrolled in the second week in January. By the end of January, I was already in class. The courses were really easy to navigate. Prior to UAGC, I was out of school for over 10 years. I only had a GED. So I didn't have a lot of experience with like writing papers. They have entry level classes where they teach you how you do a PowerPoint. They also have a class on how to develop good study habits. At that time, I was a little frustrated because it wasn't the material that I was interested in studying. But those kinds of classes are really beneficial for adult learners. The material was challenging and it was an appropriate amount of work for someone who was a parent or working full time.

Any time I ever needed anything, I was able to get through to somebody who had an actual answer. Everyone was really engaging. It almost felt like dealing with someone that you would buy a product from rather than higher education. So the customer service was really good. The professors were good. I had some really good ones. I had some that I wasn't super impressed with. But overall, it was better than it was worse. The spirit of the institution is making higher education accessible to everyone and there were only two professors that didn't seem to have that spirit. They were overly critical of my work and not offering a lot of feedback on how to improve it.

After I applied, I started classes within the month. The teachers that we worked with seemed very helpful. None of the work seemed too complicated. They seemed very fair with the way they were grading. For someone who was also working full time, it felt very manageable while also teaching new things. About 80% of the professors I worked with were up to the standards I expected. Some of them seemed a little bit disconnected, which makes sense with a fully online program. Overall, it was hard work, but it was manageable. The amount of collaboration with my classmates, even though we weren't in the same state, was super welcoming and helpful because it was nice to bounce ideas off of other people, which isn't often done in online programming. So they did a really great job with that.

The enrollment process was pretty quick and straightforward. I had an adviser talk to me and then I pretty much filled out some information online on what I was interested in and what I wanted to do. The advisor reached out to me and kind of talked to me about it and what the classes were like, and when I could start and what I'd have to do. So, it was a pretty smooth process.

The whole online thing was a new experience for me, and just working around my normal work schedule and incorporating the school and making sure I got all my assignments submitted. Towards the end, I had some projects where I had to work with other students who were in different time zones and different work schedules, so it was a different experience, but one I did enjoy. But definitely not without its challenges.

The professors are pretty good. The only time I interacted with them was when I had some issues. But they did a pretty good job. Most of the assignments they gave us were pretty straightforward and they gave enough information to where you can pretty much figure it out for yourself. We had one class where there was an assignment that was given to us and there wasn't much information in regards to how a lot of the students were supposed to complete it. So I looked at the forum and saw what everyone else was doing, and just followed that. Whenever I needed to call my adviser and she wasn't available, I was able to get a hold of another one and they were able to answer all my questions. So that was a really nice part of it. They were also pretty good with communication towards the graduation period, figuring out everything I needed to do and have.

I'm completely finished with my masters, and I did it through corporate tuition. I would tell people to take advantage of the opportunity that's presented and to think about it before doing it ‘cause it's a commitment, especially with work and trying to do school at night. The students come from different fields, and a lot of the curriculum is based on a lot of online interaction and posting with classmates. It was a big takeaway to see other people that are in different areas of their career in the same classes. I received both my bachelor's and master's from University of Arizona Global Campus. It was a great experience. I needed something that was quicker, would hold my attention and allow me to still work full time and attend school full time, and that is what Ashford courses did. I'm looking into a terminal degree but I'm looking at another university because the program is less time and between two and two and a half years for the doctorate of education. The one that UAGC is between four and five years. I don't wanna spend that much time in school before I receive my doctorate. I have some plans that I'd like to put in place before that timeframe. But if it wasn't for that, I would continue with them as well. I have a very positive outlook on it.

I try to encourage people to go back to school. If they do go, to highly consider UAGC because I had such a good response. I find it a very manageable program to work within my life-work-school balance. I had a great experience with the program. There were a few challenges there, but mainly because I had to navigate a few things at work. My position and role changed at work, so I was able to take time off if I needed to put classes on hold for two to three weeks while I caught my breath, and I was able to do that. So, I find a lot of flexibility within the program that works within the changes and the dynamics that I needed.

All of the professors, except one, worked very well and were accommodating to anything that I needed. They were exceptional teachers and professors with the amount of coursework, the course subjects, the structure of the course. So, I found everything to be aligned with what they said it would be. And for me to be able to learn what I needed to within that short amount of time, I find that to be a wonderful approach to strengthen and build students within the realm that they need to be, within what it is they're looking to accomplish.

UAGC offered a five-week course and it was compacted a lot in a small amount of time, but I didn't feel like it was being dragged out for 16 weeks. Everything was pretty simple and streamlined. It was very easy to find everything and the digital content was very easy to use. I got my Bachelor's with University of Arizona Global Campus and right now, I just started my master's degree with them.

I'm in the military and I did some coursework while deployed, but sometimes when I get notified of a deployment and I have to go through training, it's impossible do classes at the same time. So, I had to drop my courses twice. But I didn't have to pay it back because I got orders for a deployment. When I returned, I had to restart the course I left. But it would get classified as a dropped course and not a failed course. So, the money would get sent back from the TA, my tuition assistance wouldn't get wasted, and I could just use that same amount again.

The professors at UAGC were very knowledgeable and during the discussions, they gave great feedback. They always started off the course with a post for everyone else to highlight different things. They gave a lot of good course announcement, especially at the beginning of the course and throughout the course. So, I felt like my submissions were really graded and they did not just give my grade to me. It let me learn and try to be better each time.

But there was one time where I was frustrated with the University. I was taking some time off because I was-getting ready for a deployment. Then COVID happened and my deployment got pushed back for about a month. And during that time, I was out of enrollment for a year and they changed the course material and criteria. Before I took the break, I only needed seven classes to complete my degree, then when I came back, they said I needed 12 classes. I almost dropped, but I was close to the end, so I completed my last 10 classes back-to-back. I even paid out of pocket because I wanted to hurry to be done, though I used FAFSA to help cover the last two classes.

UAGC's price was fair and I didn't have to pay out of pocket for any classes because it was covered by tuition assistance. If I was a civilian, it would still be fair because I had to pay 750 for the whole class and it 250 a credit. At the end of the day, going to UAGC helped me finish my classes on time and graduate in the timeframe that I wanted.

I got in pretty fast to University of Arizona Global Campus. All I had to do was submit my paperwork. I received my bachelor's and my master's from them. I got a degree at my own pace and my advisers and professors were very informative. I had instructors who didn't mind if one of my kids were sick or an emergency happened, and I was able to submit a paper a little later. They have very good online tools, especially the library when looking up scholarly articles. They also have a tool that you can use to help make your thesis statement, which was great.

I was attending a four-year university and I was struggling because their online platform setup was not working for me. I was very overloaded and very overstressed. I began doing some research online to look for a school that offered classes in a style that would benefit me, which meant taking one class at a time back-to-back. It didn't matter whether it was a five-week, a six-week, or an-eight week. I only wanted to focus on one class and still get through my degree program. I started with UAGC and narrowed it down to three schools. I spoke to several different recruiters and academic advisors at all three of the schools. By the time it was said and done, the staff at UAGC was more capable of answering the questions I had. They were a lot friendlier too and were super helpful. Overall, it was the staff that made my final decision that that was the school I wanted.

The enrollment process was easy. I had completed my associate's degree probably 10 years before I started at UAGC. Plus, I had taken classes at a four-year university. I was quite scared that a lot of my credits would not transfer. The enrollment advisor was actually extremely helpful in placing classes in areas that she thought would fit and getting more to transfer than I assumed was going to. She made my life so much easier by getting me where I needed to be and not having to repeat too much.

I really enjoyed the learning experience at the school such as having the discussion boards. That forces classroom interaction. At a typical four-year university, you don't necessarily have all of that. You may go through an entire semester and never know a single person in your class. Having that interaction and being able to see different views from different people was very beneficial because it really opened your mind to things that you may not have thought of otherwise.

There were a couple of professors that I was not impressed with and they didn't respond very well or maybe their responses were not very clear. But for the most part, the instructors were amazing. There were maybe one or two that were a little more challenging. That was not necessarily a bad experience. They just don't communicate as well as I think they should.

On the whole, I would highly recommend it UAGC. I probably wouldn't have made it through school without UAGC because when I was at the four-year university, I was ready to give up and never go back. UAGC actually had a huge role in me finishing my program. I went through business administration. When I initially started, I wanted to be in the accounting world. As time progressed, I started to want to migrate towards HR. By the time it was said and done with the degree that I have, I had a job where I get it all. I have HR and accounting. Having that degree was very beneficial in landing me a role that I really love.

The University of Arizona was a really good school. I attended the School of Business for two years and I liked the class style as well as the instructors. I liked the schedule setup with the classes. The five-week schedule or the full week schedule was really nice and moved at a real light pace. The learning experience was good. The only thing was there should have been more video-recorded lectures from the instructors about the material or certain times of the week where there were live lectures. That's a little bit different from the purpose of doing an online school, but that would have helped.

They checked in periodically to make sure everything was doing okay. So the enrollment was overall a very positive experience. At the very beginning, there was maybe too much of a focus on group activity versus individual learning. But towards the end, it balanced out. The professors were always very willing to work with people if they had any kind of issues or concerns. There were times when I would have internet issues and I couldn't access my classroom and I would just email them from my phone because that would work. And they worked around stuff that's outside of my control. University of Arizona seems very good at accommodating its students.

It was easy to maneuver through and get to the modules and get what was needed. They were very organized with the setup for their classes. It was well-paced and I enjoyed the instructors. They were easy to communicate with. I received my bachelor's and I had a good experience. The only thing that I would have an issue with is when it comes to their educational route, they don't have means of certification for educators. And the college where I am going to get my certification with my master's is a little bit cheaper than them.

Enrollment was easy with University of Arizona. I contacted my HR department and let them know that I was interested in returning to school. They set me up with some forms and put me in contact with one of the advisors. I signed a couple of papers, and the whole process lasted about a week between going back and forth with all the documents. It was straightforward, and a week later, I got the schedule of my classes. It was fast, and the customer service was great. I never had a problem communicating with people in financial aid or people that were managing the grant that my company gave.

I was able to graduate, and it would have taken me less than two years, but I had some personal issues. Still, every time I took a break, I went back at it, and it was fine. The whole experience was good. It was easy at times, but it was challenging sometimes too. I hadn't returned to school for 11 years and going back as an adult was really difficult, but I had a lot of support from the teachers to the tutoring centers, writing centers and after hours help. Online school is not for everyone. Some people like the actual going to class to a classroom, but back then, it wasn't possible because of the whole pandemic situation. For me, it worked, but for some people, it might not.

I liked the flexibility. You are expected to check in every day and it didn't involve that much. I would do a discussion post and then respond to someone's post. I could do that if I woke up in the morning or during lunchtime. And then the rest of the day was mine to do the research for my paper or do my actual job.

The digital books were good but towards the end of class, the University of Arizona switched to RedShelf. I didn't like them because I like to download my book and look at it and highlight it myself. Enrollment is always really easy with University of Arizona. Typically, within the same day, I can get ahold of somebody who can help me get re-enrolled when I need to. However, I'm not sure if they're financially comparable to other learning platforms. It's been difficult to complete a degree with them because my tuition assistance through the military is eaten up within five classes in the fiscal year. It has stretched out my progress timeline unless I wanna pay out of pocket, which generally, I don't. Besides that, the experience with the school itself and with the faculty has been amazing.

All the professors I've had have been extremely engaged with the online forum and they're willing to help. Most of them have been very understanding of, at least, my circumstances, and I can do the military when I need extra time. Being online, it's primarily self-learning driven, and I thrive in that environment. I usually advise people if they're considering that school that as long as they can stay self-motivated and have the initiative to learn what they need to and ask for help where they need it, then they're gonna be okay.

For people who need more focused attention though, it might be difficult. It's an accelerated timeline and with each class being five weeks, they cram a lot of assignments into each of those weeks. There are at least a couple of discussion posts, which are non-formatted essays, and there are three to four responses to peers for each of those discussion posts on top of that. Almost every class I've had with UAGC requires those responses to be engaging and substantive to the topic or conversation. It's a lot of writing, and that's just for the forums. Typically, every week we also have quizzes, exams and/or a formal paper due. The pace is fast, and it can be challenging.

I work for Perdue Farms and they wanted me to go back and get another degree. I signed up with the University of Arizona. I liked the ability to work remotely. The enrollment was very easy. They contacted me and answered any questions I had. Once I figured out how to use the platform, it was very user-friendly. It's definitely a different ball game learning as an adult than when you go to school as a non-working adult. That was interesting. You have to have a lot more self-discipline.

At times, I was self-taught because you don't have an instructor readily available in a classroom setting that you can walk up to and have a conversation with. Some of them would tell you to call or text them at any time, day or night, and they would get back to you. Others had limited business hours. If you called or left them a message, your assignment would have already been due by the time you needed an answer. If there was something you need help with beyond what you could teach yourself, it could be very difficult to try to work through that.

Nonetheless, the lessons were good and every class was different. But there were instances where you felt like you were doing the same thing over and over or you had discussion posts just to have discussion posts. There are discussion posts that make you reply with 200 to 250 words, depending on what the discussion is. It's a stretch to reach that word count, so you're just rambling and it's not productive.

That aside, the professors were great. Some of them were very impressive given their pedigree and background. A lot of them were very knowledgeable. You could tell that they were very well-versed in that field. There might have been one or two that I could tell were pretty new to the role. All in all, they were very well-groomed.

It was a great experience with the University of Arizona. There were very knowledgeable individuals to help me work through earning my degree and it definitely would be one of the better put-together facilities than some other online universities that I've seen or heard about. I did a Bachelor of Arts in the supply chain management field. I'm in transportation. One of the reasons that I chose to get into supply chain management was because to have supply chain management is more siloed yet still very versatile when you're in the job market. Supply chain management could obviously be anything from various different markets.

The enrollment at University of Arizona was relatively easy. I found them after getting dismissed from my nursing program. And I was able to start almost immediately. I graduated last month. I had no issues at all. It's just me being diligent and working around my schedule. If you don't have a crazy busy life, the schedule's flexible. It's regimented. Every Tuesday, the new week starts. By Monday, you have to have everything in. If you don't, if you're not organized with your time, then you totally will miss out. You’ll have a hard time with it. The cost is also relatively expensive, but I didn't pay for it out of pocket. The military paid for it.

I liked the class scheduling at University of Arizona where I was able to do one class every six weeks and get my degree within a limited time period. The school's on top of things and they have a wide variety of programs to choose from. So, I would tell others to look into it. During enrollment, it was pretty easy to get my high school diploma and transfer my bachelors’ academic materials from my college locally. There was also no issue in the financial aid. The professors were always on top of things a few days before a different chapter would start. When it came to remarks and answering discussion questions, it seemed like they were also on top of responding to the students. Learning was collaborative, especially in reading answers and discussion questions from your peers, it makes you want to up your game.

But I ran into a few electronic issues. My accounting system told me I was eligible to graduate, I have paid my graduation fee, and my name was included on the graduation documents. But someone informed me that I was still missing three classes. The degree work system said I had 28 credits to complete and when I completed 28 credits, they had told me it was supposed to be 33. They apologized, but there were a lot of different phone reps and advisors at the school. So contacting them days after that was nerve-racking because it seemed like it wasn't notated in the system. But things got resolved and that's all I can ask for. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough financial aid to take the remainder of the three classes for that year, so I had to wait almost a year and a half to finish my degree. But if it was like a clerical error, it was caught, so I appreciated that. I'd rather get the degree that's worth it rather than missing the three classes.

But I did run into a couple that would definitely grade a little bit more harsh compared to other instructors. It almost seemed at times that some of the grading standards were arbitrary because you would meet or exceed most of the requirements and still get marked down for minor things that weren't even listed in the rubric. But 8 times out of 10, I had a professor that was really great all the way around. I had to take a couple of breaks from school when it was impossible for me to take some classes. I was able to take either an administrative leave or just re-enroll. As soon as I was back in it, it was like I never left.

They told me what I had to do and I did it. It was very easy. It was not a frustrating process at all.

I was pursuing my master's in Human Services and I've been working in the field for over 14 years. So, going through the coursework, I was familiar with a lot of the material. It really opened my eyes to things that I forgot or new things that was presented in the field since then. So, it was a really good experience because I was able to understand and follow along with the content of the course. Also, the professors were really good. I completed the degree in May. What was different for me was it was totally online. So, you have to be disciplined when you're taking online classes. Whenever I called, everybody was always so nice. I never had a problem and whatever I called for was always rectified or somebody found an answer or they told me where to go or what to do. So, I've had a very positive experience.

The professors are lovely too. However, I had one in the beginning that was really tough. It was my third class and it was writing. She ripped up my papers and I thought, "I don't even know what she wants. I don't even know what's going on." I should have called my advisor and asked for help, but it's not something I do. I'm always the one that helps everybody. That was the only hard situation. This class I'm in now, finishing up, is a lot of work, but I get that. I have recommended one of my colleagues also. She's working on her master's now.

I started when the school was originally Ashford back in 2019 and I've been with it after the transition to University of Arizona. It has been a decent experience, so far, and I've had no issues when it came to enrollments or even some of the academic advising. Some professors were good and experienced, while some were not the greatest. They could improve the interaction between the students on what guidelines are supposed to be met when it came to assignments. When it came to some of the assignment work, it wasn't very clear on what was supposed to get done, and overall, their discussion requirements are always a big issue. Some people want more word count, for example, and others require APA citation while others don't require it. It depends on the teacher, but I wish there was more of a strict guideline that they can just follow.

I've learned a lot of different topics, especially on the degrees I'm pursuing right now. I finished my bachelor's here at the beginning of the year and I got into one of the master's programs, which is what I'm working on now. I would definitely tell people to be mindful of their time constraints, especially because it is an online forum, for the most part. However, if they let procrastination get into them, it's hard to get back into the groove of things, especially since they know what dates are everything. As long as they are managing their time, it should be fine.

When Ashford switched over to University of Arizona Global Campus, I started getting these third-party application books types and I hated it because I had to click page by page. Sometimes there was lag time, so it could take a couple of seconds to switch page to page. Towards the end of my degree, I started getting irritated with the online book portions. But the way that it's set up right now, it's super easy to get the grade you want as long as you follow the grading rubric.

I've already told my daughter to go back to school and to check out the University and see if it works for her schedule. Coming to the end and knowing that I have achieved something that I thought I wasn't going to be able to do was most impactful to me. My area of studies was Early Childhood Education and when I started, I had no intentions of teaching. I was just fulfilling something that I did not complete when I was much younger. I was a paraeducator and the teacher in my class quit, so it propelled me to be the pseudo teacher for the class. And after receiving my degree, I was offered full-time employment to teach.

I liked the availability of degree programs in the University of Arizona. I'm in the master's program now for Health Informatics, which is one of the leading ones right now. The enrollment was painless and simple. It didn't take long. They asked for minor things. I graduated with my bachelor's from them, so it was easy to just enroll into the master's.

The professors are pretty good. I had a incident where I was leaving to deploy. According to the school rules, first thing is to get in contact with your professor and make sure they're in the know and understanding of the situation. We also contact our military affiliate, who gives us our tuition assistance, and we let them know that we're in a situation where we will be deploying. They straighten everything out and make sure that either the class can be completed or that we can retake the class upon return.

I got with my professor and we made sure that I was able to still turn in my work in a timely manner. I still was able to complete the class and continue on to eventually graduate. A highlight of this experience is the overall sense of completing the engagement with the professors over multiple classes. I haven't had a class where I didn't have a professor that wasn't very welcoming to the experience or engaging and helpful with getting the class accomplished in a timely manner. It's just that overall feel and that experience of being able to complete the course work over the period of time. As military members, it's hard to go to school but this school makes it very easy to do so. I have promoted the University of Arizona with my military members saying, "Hey, if you wanna do your bachelor's, I know this school. You choose your program, you get started enrolled, and it should be a seamless process."

I was between employers and looking to get my education completed. They were flexible and able to accommodate my schedule. I communicated my interest via the online portal and then I received a call to get some more background information, collect my interest, and if I had had any college education, how far along I had come. From there, I received guidance on the next step. They explained to me how the enrollment process worked as far as me being able to enroll and sign up for classes once the acceptance process was complete. We talked about what classes I was interested in and from there, I proceeded with the next steps. They did a lot of the legwork for me. So in the weeks following, I just had to check in with the academic advisors and financial aid, and make sure all of my paperwork have been received. It was definitely an easy acceptance process.

The learning experience was a little challenging initially because it was new. There were some opportunities for improvement on the platform itself being a virtual or online platform. There was a little confusion with regard to class due dates, postings, and material availability. But some of that could have been on my behalf because I was relatively new to that type of learning environment. Once I overcame some of those challenges, the learning experience itself was relatively smooth overall. I learned and retained a lot. Although the classes were about eight weeks long, the material was thorough enough. The professors became more available for me. There were more resources made available as the online platform evolved and grew as well.

Ashford was very friendly. When I first started, they were very welcoming and were very helpful too. If I missed an assignment, they were there to list resources for me to get me back on track and they encouraged me to talk to my instructor. They were very good at that. The instructors were very understanding if I have issues. The university is very supportive. I get a lot of emails. I like the fact that once my teacher grades an assignment, I have an email come straight to me. That way, I can go ahead and check my assignment. Whenever the quiz has been graded or anything that posts, it goes directly to my cellphone and I can read it.

Taking classes online is very manageable for me. I don't feel pressured to take classes there and I'm on a schedule. I work two jobs and I'm able to get my assignment stuff done. I love the school. I even sometimes encourage some of my friends to try it. It's a great learning experience for me. This is one of the schools I first started off with and I'm completely satisfied.

I completed my degree with a bachelor's in Behavioral Science. I'm still now going there now to get my master's degree and will in December. It was a struggle for me at first because I started off when I was younger. Now, I was able to maintain my schedule and raise my child. At the time I was doing it, I was able to be successful. I was able to maintain my grades and finish it at Ashford. I also messed up and I had to pay $1,500 to get back in and it was telling me that I had to keep my grades manageable. I was able to do that and pay out of my pocket and get right back off on financial aid.

To be able to be a student there, just stay focused. Ashford is not a hard school to attend. Read and follow your schedule. Look at the announcements. There are announcements reminding you that your assignments are due. Make sure you do your assignments on your due date. There were times I even tried to turn my assignments in late. I suffered a few points but I had no complaints really.

I have been going to this college for over 10 years now. It took me quite some time to get these degrees. There have been some great professors. I was trying to make sure that I reach my standard and didn't give any excuses but when I had something pop up, they were very good with handling it. I had to put time aside in order to read the textbook or whatever was given out for reading material. The teachers sometimes stayed connected with us, but that was here and there, depending. I relied very heavily on admin to help guide me because not only was I separated from someone to go in and talk to but I was also curious about certain things and didn't know what courses I needed to take to get to my end goal. They were helpful in that aspect.

From a work-life balance perspective, doing the University of Arizona was good. The instructors were great. I had some of the same ones for different courses. It's a different learning structure for each of them and on what they require. But all of them required the best value. That was good. I graduated in May of last year and I got my Security Plus in October of last year also. I'm still looking for, an IT job. I got my degree in the mail. I wanted to walk but from a financial standpoint, it didn't make sense based on my geographic location.

The only thing is I wish the simulators for the IT program were more up-to-date with the systems and stuff that they use now and in different IT companies. I feel like they were back in the early '90s and sometimes the programs wouldn't even load up and I couldn't even learn on some of them. Also, the classes should be more geared towards getting prepared for certifications, which is what employers require. Some of the information in there wasn't necessary.

I would highly recommend University of Arizona Global Campus for anyone who is trying to further their education. Even if they are working full time or part time, it wouldn't be like, "There's just so much going on." And I would tell them to reach out to their professors, counselors, advisors for any help they might need, to use all the resources that the university provides. Choose University of Arizona Global Campus because everything was streamlined. Monday discussions and papers, peer reviews, all of those were. All the classes were set up the same way. So, it was easy to do my homework and work full time. It was virtual. That's one thing I liked. And there were no deadlines. We already knew that Monday was our discussions. Mondays were our papers. We had the weekend to work on them. And Thursdays we would have discussion posts.

The website itself was easy to navigate. Any questions I had were answered within the 24 hours. If I needed help, it was easily available to me. And all of the professors that I had were fine. They were quick to respond via email. One of the professors was very generous, and she shared her personal cell. So if we had a question after hours, we could just text and ask her. And if there was a time I didn't finish my assignment, I would just message my professor, "I'm on the virtual team here. We're doing the best we can to serve our patients. Therefore, I couldn't focus much on class that day.” So, the professors were nice enough to give me an extension a few times.

I got promoted back in 2019 to be the lead teacher of a preschool classroom. They said I had to go back to school to finish my bachelor's so that was the first thing I did. I looked up some universities and found the University of Arizona. I applied for it and they called me back. I went for it as I needed to go to school right away. The classes were very flexible and I was able to do it on my time. The curriculum and the course study were really good. I really liked it because all the classes were focused on what they needed to focus on and what we needed to learn. The professors were really good and helpful. Whenever I needed some type of help, they were there. I really enjoyed every class, not only for the content that it had but also because of the professors.

Being a student was really exhausting. I really never thought that I would go back to school, especially after having two kids. I had to deal with my work full time, being a full-time mom, and going to school. When I went to other schools before, I didn't have any kind of motivation. But now, my two kids were my motivation. I have to keep going and show them that whatever age you are, you can still do whatever you dreamed of, follow your dreams, and not give up. It's gonna be really hard at the beginning and you will have sleepless nights but it's all worth it in the end.

The only thing that really helped me get through was the pandemic. I was working from home so I was able to get things done, even though I had to do my Zoom meetings with my students. I would do it around 10:00 in the morning and be done by 2:00. Even though I would have to clock out at 3:00, I was still able to finish with work. I was able to focus also on schoolwork. It didn't matter if I had to go to sleep at 3:00 in the morning. That was for a year and a half that I was working from home. I then had to go back to in-person classes and I had to deal with me going to sleep at 3:00, 4:00 in the morning. There were times that I didn't want to do an assignment but I still did in the end.

My commencement day was the most memorable. The auditorium was humongous and there were a lot of graduates. It was amazing. I was shaking the whole time because this was the first time I was going up on stage to get my degree. When I went to the other college, I didn't go. I didn't feel like I did something good in school. But with this one, I worked so hard for it. It was so surprising because when I was in school, I always got Cs and Bs. But at the University of Arizona, I got all As probably two Bs in the class. They gave me my magna cum laude and I was surprised when I got that.

The enrollment process with University of Arizona was straightforward. I got with an advisor and got the application, and then got admitted to a degree plan. I originally enrolled for Criminal Justice and then, I switched over to Health Care Administration. Everything was set up so I never had to deal with setting up a class. Everything was lined up back-to-back so I never had to worry about anything. I finished the bachelor's last year in May and then started the graduate program in October. I'm still attending and I like that it’s on my own time. The only problem I ran into was in this last class, which was one of the harder classes for me. The instructor said she was gonna put more details about what needed to be done in the assignments or the discussions. But she’d never upload it and it would already be Thursday evening. So, a lot of the stuff would be super short notice or we just have to submit stuff how we thought she wanted it.

It was the same with sending emails. I'd send an email the start of the class week on Tuesday or Wednesday. And I wouldn't receive an email until the next week when the assignment was already due three days prior. So some of them do the same thing. I just have to wing it and hope it was up to how she briefly explained what needed to be done, not too much in detail. But other that, I never had any problems with the instructors not communicating right away. So usually, they've all been helpful. I like the flexibility of the schedule. I do a lot of the stuff during the week and then bigger assignments on the weekend. Also, the cost is reasonable. The bachelors is 100% covered by the TA so, it was well worth it.

When I got started with University of Arizona, Courtney was my administrator and it was a very easy process. For the classes, everything was done online which was not very beneficial because the instructors did not necessarily make sure all of their material was legible or easy to understand. Also, sometimes, in an online setting, there are hidden buttons that nobody knows about and to this day, I got my bachelor's from the whole thing and I'm sure there are buttons that I still don't know about.

All in all, I didn't appreciate the learning very much because it was like a, "Check the box and go." Each instructor was different on how they graded. Then, if you try and account for the instructor that you previously had, the next instructor didn't like that, but you never had a chance to make up your grade. Aside from that, there was a political class that I took that I did some really outside-the-box thinking, but I got a very poor grade because I did not do it in the spirit of the assignment apparently. I can understand that but at the same time, it was a legit method that I was proving and all of my resources were valid. It was not what the instructor wanted though and I was supposed to be a mind reader.

University Arizona Global Campus changed the name but the classes and the process were still the same. I was already used to knowing where everything was and I thought they were gonna change everything up but that part stayed the same which made it helpful continuing to take the classes online. When I first started doing it, I was active duty at the time, and they only let you take two classes before you had to get the evaluated degree plan. That was taking forever but that was when covid was happening. I kept on emailing and calling the school and they were always saying they were working on it. It never happened. I got somebody else, and they finally got it to me. When I finally got it, I had to send that to the education center, and it took them forever because they were all working from home. It took over almost a month and a half to finally get the degree plan on file so I could start taking classes.

The courses are good. I had no issues with how the courses were done. The time frame was good on when stuff was due. Everything was explained. If I emailed them for anything, they were quick with getting back to me. The material that they gave us had everything. The last class I took was five weeks and I know some other classes are eight weeks. The five weeks duration was convenient. I would recommend University of Arizona Global Campus because it's easy to navigate through and everything is right there on your computer.

However, I really wanted to go back through my school books. I called. I said, "They all disappeared. I don't know what happened." I was a history major and I wanted to accelerate the program with University of Arizona. They were 5 weeks for 15 weeks so I liked the accelerated program. But I switched schools for my next degree because they don't offer the next degree that I wanted and I prefer the seven-week. It gives me a little bit more time. I didn't care for the Science professor. He was the only rigid male teacher that I had. On your own tests, he wanted us to write our name and the date in the corner of the tests. I thought that my writing was illegible so, I used font and he said that was not okay. He didn't accept one of my final projects because all the dates on the test tubes were written in text because I wanted it to be clear. But to him, that looks like I'm falsifying someone else's tests. I was annoyed, so I said that I didn’t expect him to change anything, but for my own integrity, gave him the pictures with the messy writing. But he didn't want anything to do with it.

I barely got a B and I'm an A-student. So, that pissed me off. People should look around, like how quickly they wanna finish. I can't imagine having kids and a job and doing five-week classes. There was so much reading. It would have been impossible. So, for people who have kids and a job, I don't know how they do it. The seven and a half-week programs offered by ASU are much more manageable because there's a lot of time given between assignments, and it's just a little bit more flexible. Their program, for me, is better.

I didn't really have any questions necessarily that I had to ask. I would just reference the textbook. University of Arizona worked well with time. It requires self-discipline to ensure that you complete the material yourself, but it does present an opportunity to get a quality education while also working or with a busy schedule.

I decided to pursue my master's and it was gonna be more cost-effective if I did it with Ashford. I got enrolled in less than a week with everything. They made it easy to send my papers and transcript. Everything that I studied there was applicable on case studies. The structure of one class at a time, focus on one subject, and actually submitting paperwork that will force me to think and make me a better professional. The professor were all very knowledgeable and they would reply to me very, very fast. They were fair. I took a lot of classes during COVID and in a couple of instances, I had to communicate with them asking for extra time. Sometimes, I would even reach out to a couple of professors for questions on projects at work and they were very, very helpful. So it was really good. It's a friendly university. I would recommend it to somebody that is willing to learn, that is pursuing a degree, and that have high standards for self-education.

I researched the school through my work. The enrollment was easy and everything was great. I do well with self-paced learning. The instructors were always available to send an email or a message to through the portal if I had any issues or questions. I never had any issues with submitting anything on time and my feedback from the instructors was always positive. I graduated in April of 2022.

The enrolment was very rushed. I don't feel like everything was explained properly and I was a little concerned because when I got my financial aid, the breakdown showed room and board. It's online, how am I getting room and board? They swear they didn't charge me for that, but it showed up on that paperwork. Also, having five-week classes kind of put a strain on people who were full-time parents or employees trying to get everything done within that time frame. There was no type of understanding for that. I also feel that some of the classes were completely unnecessary and more politically motivated than necessary. I don't understand how being a global citizen is a required class when I'm taking health and wellness. I wouldn't recommend them. There is no ill will toward them but there are some things that could have been handled a lot differently.

University of Arizona was Ashford University when I started. It was super easy to get enrolled. They looked at some of my transcripts and ID. We talked about different selections and some things to look at to narrow down what I wanted my degree to be in. The learning experience was perfect. It's much better than in-person learning because all those professors did was talk about themselves for 40 minutes. There might have been two glitches in the whole time I was there that I had to reach out to a professor. Other than that, it was pretty self-explanatory.

I wanted to get my Child Development degree and I found Ashford when they were still in Iowa. I called three different schools to get information and they were the ones that had the best program that I was looking for. But life happened and I had to drop out. When I came back, they changed from Ashford to University of Arizona Global Campus. When I was re-enrolling, they were with me every step of the way. They called every week to see if everything was going smoothly and if I got all my documents. They even helped me file some of the documents that I needed to file to be able to get back in.

Most of the teachers were very helpful if I had questions outside of the class. But there were a couple of teachers I had issues with because they wouldn't get back to me on time, where I almost failed or I barely passed or I had to retake the class. Also, in my Bachelor's program, some of them seemed really lax because most of it was common sense information. But in my Master's program, it's more in-depth and the professors are there. One of my professors even gave us her cell phone number if we had any questions and that was the first time I had any professor give me a cell phone number to contact her.

If I did, I didn't see it.

Since I've been at Ashford, the hardest class that I had was my previous Java class. What made it harder was because it was online, so I couldn't ask questions if I wanted to. Java and Python with information systems is something new to me, and I couldn't just get the answers right away. It was tedious, but I made it through with a B.

When I went to Ashford University for my bachelor's degree, it wasn't a good experience. They told me that I was going to be getting a grant and I wouldn't have to pay anything. But every single month, I had to pay money to the school and it equaled up to almost $3,000. I took out a full loan, and I got accepted for the full loan. But the money didn't get applied to the class because I was paying. I kept paying and paying and paying. So I didn't like the experience. I was lied to during the enrollment. So when I went for my master's degree, I told them specifically, “I'm not coming back if I have to pay. You need to be honest about the grants or whatever you're going to give and apply it. I’m not paying.” But it was really difficult work, and then trying to find a school. I was already in one, so I went on and stayed. It wasn't the greatest experience.

The financial aid office at the school was no help. When you call them, they don't answer the phone. If they do answer the phone, they give you information that is not always correct. Future students need to stay on them and make sure they will get whatever they're offered. They should also make sure that they check their financial aid and that everything's applied in the right places.

At the time, Ashford University was a great fit for me because I suffer from PTSD and social anxiety, so the classroom setting is not for me. So it's more my pace. Anytime I had medical or family emergencies, 99% of all my teachers were adaptable to the situation and gave me leeway. I liked that you meet a lot of different people, and you don't even realize you were taking the class with somebody that could be your neighbor.

Before I enrolled in the University, I got my associates here locally, and they didn't have the program for the bachelor's degree. One of the professors encouraged me to go for Ashford, so I ended up enrolling there. The professors that were in my area of study were always really nice as well as on point with everything that they wanted to teach the class and the objectives they wanted us to reach. So, I had a really good experience in learning.

The key to being a successful online student is always being on time with the readings and staying focused on the work that needs to be done, depending on the objective that we were doing. Having the professors really explain to us what needed to be done was also a key point that kept, at least, me on point with what I had to do. I already completed my degree and I wanted to do the walk but it was out of my budget to travel all the way over there.

Something that can be improved is having more scholarships available for students. For example, I am interested in going back for my master’s, but I wouldn't be able to afford it. Even when I was going for my bachelor's degree, the grants only covered about half of it, and after that, I had to pay out of pocket, and it was a little expensive. I was able to get through it, but now that I'm on my own paying a mortgage and being a single parent to my daughter, it's too way out of budget.

Enrolling was very easy. They were very straightforward and they told me what I needed. They took care of everything. But my experience was odd. My program went from the University of the Rockies to Ashford before it became Arizona. For the second half of my master's program, I was the only student in my class because of all of the merging. It was a little difficult because I didn't have anyone else to bounce ideas of. Also, because I was the only student, the professors in three out of six classes I had were harder on me than they would have been. That made it difficult but I was still able to push through.

The enrollment process with University of Arizona Global Campus was easy. The advisor reached out to me and asked me what I was looking to do, went over the courses, provided information regarding how the courses are conducted. However, I had five different advisors. I would like to have had fewer advisors and not have to keep repeating information.

Mondays, we had a paper due. And Mondays and Thursdays is when we had assignments too. So on Thursdays, we had to participate in two discussion boards. And we had to respond to two other participants each, so a total of four responses. Those responses were due on Monday, along with the paper that is normally due on Monday. So, it was easy knowing we had designated days on what things were due, so I could work my schedule around that.

The navigation side was okay. The only thing that I would have liked to seen was any time that I needed to submit my grade to my employer, to get my transcript, it was done from the main screen, but that is where you enter the classroom. So, to try to get to that main screen was a bit of a challenge. I would have to fully log out and re-log back in to get to the main screen that comes up before I could go in to the virtual classroom.

I had a good experience with all the professor in terms of them taking their role seriously and trying to educate us. It's just that this one teacher provided more work than the other previous courses that I've experienced. So, I had to adjust my schedule even more to make more time for this additional work that a specific professor was giving the course. I just felt like that one-off experience was somebody took it too seriously. Other than that, the professors that I've encountered throughout the entire process were easy to contact. They all looked to see if something happens like a one-off.

When I was looking at how many credits would transfer over from what I had already accomplished, University of Arizona had given me more than Southern New Hampshire would. I was overseas at the time so that was the hardest part - the time difference. But one of the best things that the university offered to me was the flexibility and being able to work it on my time. DeVry's cycle started on a Monday and ended on a Sunday night. I love that University of Arizona started on a Tuesday and ended on a Monday night. We have families and different things going on, so the weekends get hectic. Being able to wrap up everything on a Monday when I've got more time than on a Sunday night was awesome.

Some of the lower level classes were harder than some of the upper level classes. It was based on the instructor for that course, holding folks to higher standard. You don't know if the instructors are holding other folks accountable, but when you get in and do your discussion posts, you can tell the folks that are into it and have put all the required effort into it, then you've got other folks that just hop on and agree. I took a class but didn't get much out of it. But there are others that I did.
