I would give zero stars if I could. They take no responsibility for damaging contents even though there is clear damage to the box and refuse to pay the insurance claim even though the extra insurance was added. Careless and irresponsible company.

I purchased an Apple computer from Adorama, but the delivery experience with UPS turned what should have been a simple transaction into a frustrating ordeal. The shipment required a direct signature. I stayed home for two full workdays waiting for delivery. During that time, I spoke with UPS multiple times, including a supervisor. I offered to meet the driver if access to my property was a concern, and UPS had my phone number. Drivers have contacted me in the past when they needed assistance finding my home, so I expected the same level of communication here.

Instead, the delivery never came together. On the final attempt, the driver reportedly knocked but did not ring my doorbell. In a large home, a knock alone was not enough to alert me. Despite all of the communication leading up to that point, there was still no coordinated plan to complete the delivery. After losing two business days waiting for an uncertain delivery, I requested that the package be returned rather than spending a third day at home. UPS then reported the package as "receiver refused," which I believe inaccurately describes what happened. I did not refuse the product. I spent two days trying to receive it.

Adorama later contacted me because of the return, and I explained that the issue was never the computer. I still wanted to purchase it. In fact, I immediately bought another computer and had it delivered to a UPS Access Point, which completely solved the problem. Had that option been available for the original shipment, I would have gladly accepted delivery. My disappointment is not with the product itself but with the lack of flexibility and communication during the delivery process. Expensive purchases deserve a delivery process that works with the customer, especially when the customer is actively trying to receive the shipment.

Between the UPS store corporate and the UPS capital service, I am left with an insult and a delivery on the other side of the country. Sent keys to California under their fastest possible rush, and it was delayed. We were only at the hotel a day. When we saw it was delayed, we called to have it rerouted back to the shipping address. That failed, and it delivered to CA. Now I'm in TN, without the keys, and they give me a partial refund. A month of promises that they will pick it up from the hotel and return to sender, and they never did. The store says call capital. That number says call the store's corporate. This is the company my father served for 30 years. I've been loyal to UPS because of my father's memory. Now I'm left with a torn up insult of a refund check and a month of aggravation trying to get these keys!

Shipped 1 item. They tried to raise the price mid shipment... Got that corrected. Still delayed delivery, but the agreed to exorbitant price. The very next shipment sat stagnant until the day before delivery, when weather was cited as reason for delayed delivery. For no particular reason at all half price. Identical shipments. Yeah if you want it on time maybe they ain't the best, but if you want casino style prices roll them dice!

Had a package worth over $1,000 from T-Mobile that required my signature. Since I wasn’t home for the first delivery attempt, I immediately paid $17 through the UPS website to have the package delivered to a different address. When my package didn’t arrive as expected, I called UPS customer service. I was assured not to worry and was told I would receive it by 9:00 p.m. That never happened. I called again and was told I would receive it on Monday. On Monday, I discovered that my package was being returned to T-Mobile because the driver supposedly couldn’t find my address. This made no sense because UPS has delivered to this address many times without any issues.

I called UPS again, and they confirmed that the driver couldn’t locate the address. I asked why this happened when deliveries to my address have always been successful. I was then transferred to the local UPS facility, where I spoke with a woman named Trish. She was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She told me it wasn’t her problem that the driver couldn’t find my address, and then she hung up on me. I wasted hours calling back and forth, paid an extra fee to change the delivery address, and still ended up without my package. The poor communication, lack of accountability, and unprofessional customer service made this a very frustrating experience. I expect much better from a company like UPS.

Is there any negative stars available? We sent a package back from Windsor Ontario, Canada to Washington USA. It took 1 day to get the package. To send back it took 4 weeks (30 days) as it was stuck in the warehouse. After at least 20 phone calls and many gray hairs later the package arrive to the destination. Every person in customer service was a waste of time, useless and that is speaking nicely. Summary: Not a good place to send a package and if you do it is self inflicted pain on yourself.

One of the most frustrating and pathetic experiences with UPS. International delivery has become a mental harassment. Multiple emails about the same thing from different people. No one takes responsible action. No one tells you what to do beforehand, and they threaten you to dispose of the package at customs. Their fees are insanely high, which also they don't inform beforehand. I would NEVER go with or recommend UPS again.

Abysmal service. Required to take entire day off and stay home all day to sign for package. Estimate delivery time went from 1:30-3:30pm to update 3:30-5:30pm. Then 5:30-7:30pm and finally last update reflected "by 9:00pm". Then at 8:15pm received notification the package will not be delivered on a Friday as promised and that the delivery truck had driven an hour back to distribution center! The delivery was delayed one business day which really equals three days delayed. Now I have to take yet another entire day off and cancel a doctor's appointment with no guarantee of delivery. This and like companies have no business being in this line of work. There needs to be severe ramifications and fines for this horrid service.

$700 package missing, system failure, and zero help. Worst experience ever! I am absolutely appalled by the service-or lack thereof-from UPS. On Saturday, July 11th, I shipped a package worth $700 from New York to Seattle and paid extra for 2-Day Air shipping. At the time of drop-off, the system in the UPS office was down. The employees helped pack the item and took it, promising it would be processed. However, it seems everything disappeared right at the label creation stage. Today is Friday, July 17th, and the tracking status hasn't updated once. The package is completely gone.

To make matters worse, the UPS app is glitching, and the company refuses to accept any claims, leaving me stranded. At this point, it feels like my package was either stolen by staff or lost due to utter incompetence. Paying for premium shipping only to have a $700 item vanish without a trace is unacceptable. I strongly advise everyone to avoid using UPS if you value your money and peace of mind. Thief-like behavior and terrible customer support.

I should have learned from my last bad experience. UPS has now lost two of the last five packages I've sent. I was charge $51 for "guaranteed" three day delivery of a small, envelope-sized document from Los Angeles to Napa. Eight days later and no one knows where it is. No notifications from UPS despite being signed up for. I'm now forced to overnight mail through FedEx to meet a critical deadline. I know UPS will not refund me for the loss. There's a good reason UPS has a 1.2 customer satisfaction rating.

This is one of the worst delivery experiences I’ve had with UPS. My package arrived ripped open, damaged, and appeared to have been tampered with during transit. When I opened it, one of the items I ordered was missing. The condition of the box made it obvious that something had gone wrong before it reached my home. Whether the item was lost because the package wasn’t handled properly or because it was removed after the box was damaged, the end result is the same—I paid for merchandise that never arrived.

What made this even more frustrating was the lack of accountability. As the customer, I was left trying to figure out what happened and deal with the inconvenience myself. Customers shouldn’t have to worry that their packages will arrive damaged or missing items. I expect much better from a company trusted to deliver people’s purchases. Based on this experience, I have very little confidence in UPS handling future deliveries with the care and security they should.

It is now 13 days since the package was shipped from NC to OH. We received notice to be delivered July 6th, July 6th Notice that there was a missing Apartment # when it shows on the website (Maybe on package also) can't tell yet. July 6th we online update the address and received confirmation of new address. July 7th Processing in Maumee still then later notice package is be returned to sender location (the UPS Store we sent it from). The same date it also shows being out for delivery. July 8th again request for address request as well as package being received back to NC. Later that date a second address change confirmed notice as package goes to NC then WV before heading back to OH. July 10th 3rd Address correction notice and out for delivery notice received.

Later the 10 and 11th notices of Missing Apartment number. Today is the 15th with no update and calls to support leading to no answers. Three attempts to talk to supervisors failed being told someone would return our calls. Turning Blur holding out breath still. We were told to file a missing package claim so now UPS Supports only answer is to call the UPS Claim department. Their response is we can help until UPS updates location of this package. I am sure if they would let me i could find it in the Maumee Distribution center. Next time use Fed-Ex or Amazon who have made multiply deliveries to the came address location both with and without the apartment number as a test. Funny thing is all packages get set outside to front door to a (4) Plex.

Upon finally getting ahold of someone from customer service (which was no small feat and took several hours) we were told that the package was out for delivery yesterday but it was "too late in the day to try to deliver it" so now we have to go pick it up instead. Apparently paying for it to be delivered to your house does not even guarantee they will try to deliver it to your house. As someone who has delivered packages for a living this is absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable. This is far from the first issue we've had with UPS so in the future we will avoid them at all costs. If you want something to actually be delivered avoid UPS. That seems to be too much for them to handle.

Providing inaccurate tracking updates is misleading and unacceptable. If the package was delayed due to staffing, routing, or another internal issue, I would rather be told the truth than receive false delivery exceptions suggesting that something on my end prevented delivery.

I am requesting that UPS investigate why these inaccurate delivery updates were entered, ensure my package is delivered as soon as possible, and explain what is being done to prevent this from happening again. As a customer, I expect honest communication and reliable service. At this point, I have lost confidence in the accuracy of UPS’s tracking information and am very disappointed with this experience.

This is a 1-star review for the UPS website experience. I needed to retrieve our account number to provide it to a customer. Since our company does not use UPS frequently, we do not receive many invoices, so I expected this information to be available in the account profile or settings. Unfortunately, after searching extensively, I was unable to locate it anywhere on the website.

I then tried the chat support, but the AI assistant asked a series of questions and did not provide a clear path to a live representative. I requested a live agent and was instead prompted to leave a phone number for a callback. I did receive a call, but it rang only once and disconnected before I could answer. I picked up immediately after that single ring, but the call had already ended.

I recall that a couple of years ago I was able to speak with a live agent who provided the account number, which I saved in QuickBooks. This time, however, there was no straightforward way to access the same basic information. By comparison, FedEx makes account details easily accessible within the user profile, which is far more efficient and customer-friendly. Overall, essential account information such as the account number should be easy to find without requiring multiple support steps or unreliable callbacks. This process needs improvement.

Remarkable how pervasively BAD the "service" truly is. I use them as an absolute LAST resort ONLY when there is no other option. Amazing how they stay in business. But the phone needed to be there so had no choice and paid it. Tracking the package it seems it was delayed first by bad weather, then a delivery mixup, here it is day 3 and still has not made it yet! Absolutely the worst international delivery service I have ever dealt with. No one at UPS can explain why a package is stuck for days at a transit location. Customer service is unable to provide any meaningful updates, cannot expedite shipments, and seems to have no visibility into what is actually happening. What’s even more frustrating is that packages are clearly not processed in the order they are received. A package shipped a week earlier can sit untouched while newer packages from the same sender move through the network and get delivered first. There appears to be no consistency, accountability, or transparency in the process.

When customers pay premium international shipping rates, they expect reliable tracking, accurate delivery estimates, and competent support. Instead, all we get are delays, vague responses, and constantly changing delivery dates. Very disappointing experience. I would strongly recommend considering alternative carriers for important international shipments.

Trained to say there’s nothing they can do. Repeated excuses. Lack of relevant knowledge. Inconsistent information. There is literally no point to having them. It’s just there to make you feel like you are getting help. My pkg was supposed to be delivered by 8:30 am on Friday. It’s now Sunday and no guarantees it will even arrive before the recipient leaves!! I will now have to do the work of making sure that when/if it arrives it is returned to me. They take no responsibility. Only excuses. I will NEVER use UPS willingly ever again. HORRIBLE! With so much competition you’d think they would improve their service! I shipped four packages through UPS during my cross-country relocation from Hoboken, New Jersey to Portland, Oregon. All four were picked up by the same UPS driver on the same day from the same address and scanned into the UPS network on May 30, 2026 in Secaucus, New Jersey. Two packages were delivered. Two were not. UPS's own tracking system proves they accepted all four.

Here is everything UPS did and failed to do: Tracking number **, a black hard shell luggage containing over $50,000 worth of personal belongings including gold jewelry, never moved from New Jersey and was never delivered. UPS opened an investigation, declared the search complete, and then voided my claim on June 16, 2026 without any written explanation. They simply said they could not find it. Tracking number **, a light gray hard shell luggage containing over $50,000 worth of personal belongings, made it all the way to Portland Oregon, was scanned at the Portland UPS facility on June 5, 2026, and then disappeared. UPS marked it as temporarily delayed and provided no further updates for weeks.

A third package, tracking number **, was delivered but arrived with the back completely torn open, the zipper destroyed, and more than half of my contents missing. When I opened it, my belongings had fallen out through the damaged zipper during UPS transit. This package contained over $15,000 worth of clothing, bags, shoes, and personal possessions.

When I contacted UPS about the missing packages I was told to contact Pirate Ship. When I contacted Pirate Ship I was told to contact InsureShield. When I contacted InsureShield I was told to contact UPS. I went in circles between all three parties for nearly a month with no resolution. UPS's own representative told me the investigation for the packages had to be initiated through the shipping account holder. When a search was finally conducted for one package UPS declared it complete and unlocated and forwarded the results to Pirate Ship, then voided the claim. They offered me money instead of actually looking for my belongings.

I have filed formal complaints with the New Jersey Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Better Business Bureau. I am pursuing legal action under 49 U.S.C. 14706 the Carmack Amendment. UPS accepted my property, transported it across the country, destroyed one bag, lost two others, voided my claim without explanation, and left me with almost nothing from my entire cross country move. UPS had one job. They failed completely and then made it impossible to hold them accountable. Do not trust UPS with anything irreplaceable. When they lose it they will offer you $1,000 and close the case.

90% of my returns are through Whole Foods. So fast and efficient. I never have to return with a box. Lately my purchases have had to go through UPS. #1 inefficient and laborious. I ordered something through Amazon and 1st of all it was delivered in a thin plastic bag. Yup the box was thrashed and damaged. Luckily my item was not damaged but it was a gift so the box it came in was important to me. So I initiated a return only to find that my ONLY option was UPS. Then it required that I put it in a box though they sent it with a plastic bag!?!?

I selected QR code. There is a Pack and Mail near me that takes UPS packages. So I went in BUT they can’t handle the QR code and said I’d need to return to a UPS store. This facility has great customer Service so he helped me back out my return and print a label which they could handle. When I initiated the return I asked just to replace the item with hopes that the box is in better condition. By backing out it resulted in reordering a second replacement. Okay so I ask how is this process “Customer Service focused”?! There is a streamlined efficient model with Whole Foods out there why can’t UPS see if they can use a tried and true method that customers love?

I got an email asking if I wanted the package delivered today and they would check with the driver, I finally got another email saying he was done for the day and I would have to wait till Monday. There is no option to retrieve the package or allow delivery without a signature. Additionally, I was told by another rep it is only an estimate, the 4 hour window but they could deliver at ANYTIME. If I wanted to take time off of work to go to a location of THEIR choosing, I would have sent it to my apartment (where I know they won't come up to do signatures) and gotten a location closer to me. I used to be more sympathetic to drivers, but quite frankly they are part of the reason their goals are so unrealistic. They complain about how they have no choice because their goals are unrealistic, but "meeting" unrealistic goals only makes the company think its possible.

I don't care to hear sob stories about how they needed that 1 minute so they don't miss dinner with their families again, because they do not care about the situations of the people they shaft. I worked as a preloaded their for a while too. More than once I got to work an entire shift in a truck that smelled like pee because the driver left a pee bottle in it. For people who have little courtesy, they have a lot of gall to act like they are owed courtesy when they do not give any.

I'm lucky that I can take time off of work to pick it up on an accelerated schedule, because otherwise they'd send it back. Costing me more money, time, and a huge headache. All of the disabled people who actually need their deliveries to be delivered or take longer to get to the door due to disability, have little recourse. My grandma has problems with that very issue. Lazy drivers agreeing to do a job that's impossible then acting like they are justified in making it the receiver's problem when they inevitably can't measure up. Instead of having some integrity and using their union to actually do something, they stick it to vulnerable people. What if this was a medication? If they are going to choose not to actually deliver packages, they need to not be charging as if they do and falsely advertising that they will. I ordered it to be shipped to a specific location. They did not fulfill their end of the deal.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the level of service I have received. The customer service experience has been one of the worst I have ever encountered. The information provided on the website does not match what customer service representatives tell customers over the phone, and even when calling multiple times, I received different answers from different representatives. No one seemed to know what was actually going on with my shipment.

What makes this even more frustrating is the lack of accountability and consistency. Customers should not have to spend their time making repeated calls just to get basic information about a package. Every interaction left me with more confusion rather than answers. The delivery delays have been unacceptable, and the communication throughout the process has been poor. When customers pay for shipping services, they expect reliability, transparency, and accurate information. Unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite.

Based on this experience, I would never voluntarily choose this company for shipping if other options were available. The combination of poor customer service, conflicting information, lack of communication, and delivery issues has completely destroyed my confidence in the company. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been so frustrating that I felt compelled to share it. The company needs to take a serious look at its customer service training, communication processes, and delivery operations. Customers deserve better than being given conflicting answers and left wondering when—or if—their packages will arrive. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish.

I paid extra for this delivery only to be doing most of the work myself. UPS is lazy and the first package I had received went straight into my mailbox, all of a sudden the second delivery they couldn’t even bother knocking on the door or calling to be buzzed in? No reason just that it would be shipped at another date and time whenever they got to it ASAP. Nothing changed until Monday morning when it said out for delivery again arrival time 2-6PM EST.

At 130PM I got another notice that the package was rescheduled until the next day 6/2/2026, once again no rhyme or reason why. This is another UPS delivery problem. I ordered a new bed for my apartment which was supposed to be delivered yesterday on Thursday. I planned accordingly and need arrangements for my friend to help me move it into the apartment. I get notification at 8:45 15 minutes before they stop delivering stating that it was being delayed another day, but it didn’t give a reason so it’s now Friday 930 actually and they stopped delivering 30 minutes ago. They’re supposed to be delivered tonight and I made arrangements again. Now they say that they sorted it, which I think means put it on the wrong truck to be delivered so it’s not gonna be delivered tonight and it’s Friday which means now I have to wait until Monday for it to be Delivered.

This happens every time I get deliveries from UPS. Every single time I know exactly what it is. It’s the driver’s going to get home on a Friday night so they don’t have to do any more work and they probably get in the truck or something. I don’t know exactly what they do with it but that’s where it goes actually. Talk to the UPS drivers and they told me that actually what happens so they inconvenience me twice and now I have to wait until Monday to get my new bed like the other person said I would give him less than one if I could, but that’s the lowest you can give them. I heard that Carol Tome a former Home Depot executive is the new CEO of UPS so maybe she will be able to turn him around.

I paid more than $100 to UPS to deliver an envelope containing documents related to a transaction worth over $40,000. I specifically chose UPS and paid a premium price because these documents were time-sensitive and important. The original package was sent from Lawrenceville, Georgia to Lakeland, Florida. Inside that package was a prepaid return envelope that was shipped on May 22, 2026.

As of May 29, 2026, the return envelope still has not been delivered. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that I could have sent these documents through USPS for less than $100 and purchased insurance coverage for the contents. Instead, I paid a premium to UPS, expecting faster, more reliable service and received the exact opposite.

The tracking information simply states: "Due to operating conditions, your package may be delayed. Your delivery will be rescheduled." That is not an explanation. It does not tell me where my package is, why it is delayed, or when it will arrive. When I called customer service, I spent my time navigating automated systems only to reach a representative who could do nothing more than repeat the exact same message I could already see online. No one could provide any meaningful information about the location of the package, the cause of the delay, or an expected delivery date.

I even asked if I could pick up the envelope myself because of the importance of the documents involved. I was told that was not possible. Apparently, no one could tell me where the package was actually being held, and I was not allowed to retrieve it even if I wanted to. To make matters worse, the tracking history references a facility in Doraville, Georgia, yet UPS could not provide an address where I could go to speak with someone in person or recover my package.

A one- or two-day delay would be frustrating. A week-long delay is unacceptable. A week-long delay accompanied by vague tracking updates, no accountability, no answers from customer service, and no ability to locate or retrieve the package is inexcusable. UPS charged premium prices for expedited service and then failed to provide the one thing customers are paying for: reliability.

At this point, I am left wondering why anyone would pay extra for UPS when lower-cost alternatives offer insurance options, clearer communication, and, in my experience, more dependable service when something goes wrong. This shipment contained documents connected to a transaction worth more than $40,000. The complete lack of urgency, transparency, and customer support shown by UPS has permanently damaged my confidence in the company.

BEWARE: Apparently Refrigeration Is a Secret VIP Benefit. Now I understand why this location has a low star rating. This review is for the UPS Store at 8226 Menaul Blvd NE in Albuquerque. For approximately nine months, I had refrigerated medication shipped to this location as a UPS Access Point. Every shipment was refrigerated, so I reasonably believed temperature-sensitive medications would be handled appropriately. Then one shipment was left unrefrigerated and ruined. An employee acknowledged the issue and documented it. Management had my contact information. No one called. No one apologized. No one followed up. When the replacement shipment arrived, I finally heard from management not to apologize, but to explain that refrigeration is merely a “courtesy” for non-mailbox customers and that I should not expect my medication to be refrigerated unless I pay for a mailbox.

So apparently the policy is: refrigerate medication for nine months, never tell the customer it’s optional, leave a shipment out and ruin it, then explain afterward that the customer should have somehow known better. Even more impressive was being told that the store bears no responsibility because I didn’t pick up the package fast enough. Apparently accepting temperature-sensitive medication and then failing to store it properly is not the issue. The customer is. If refrigeration is not guaranteed, customers should be told before packages are accepted, not after a shipment is damaged. Based on my experience, if you have refrigerated medication, choose a different UPS Access Point.

I understand that lost packages can happen, but what I experienced with UPS was beyond frustrating. My package contained custom-made clothing and gifts sent from Nigeria for my brother’s wedding. I have video evidence showing the package being scanned and physically loaded onto a UPS truck… and then it somehow vanished into thin air with no further scans or accountability. Throughout the process, I received conflicting information and spent months trying to get answers. UPS continued stating there was no evidence the package entered the network beyond drop-off, despite the fact that I literally have proof of it being loaded onto their truck.

To make matters worse, because my label was purchased through Shippo, communication and responsibility kept getting redirected elsewhere even though UPS was the company that physically lost the bag. The compensation offered was minimal and did not come close to reflecting the actual value or significance of what was lost.

At some point, it felt less about genuinely helping locate the package and more about quickly closing out the claim and moving on. I understand situations like mine may fall into the “1%” of lost packages, but I truly hope UPS revisits how those rare situations are handled because customers deserve better communication, transparency, accountability, and actual support when something this important disappears after entering UPS custody. I honestly still hope the package somehow miraculously turns up one day.

Like these thieving UPS employees are shopping thru your orders to see what they want to steal. Returns now are a PIA. I'm on Day #4, UPS has refused to retrieve my Amazon return. Not a heavy box or anything, just no UPS. I've had to use the Chat with Amazon on 4 days, they keep reordering UPS to pick up my box, but they're nowhere to be found.

In the winter I bought a heavy snowblower from Amazon. Didn't work. Tried to return it for almost a week. Either UPS didn't show up or they showed up & thought the box was too heavy/large, plus snow on the ground. I finally had to do a return label with the shipping #, then did a UPS pick-up on their website, even that took 2 tries to get them to come out. I've had multiple of the no-label Amazon returns, where UPS is just supposed to show up. Then no one ever does.

A few years ago, I had an engagement ring made by a jeweler in NYC. They shipped using UPS. With that, you have to insure it & say what's in the box. Sure enough! Driver marked it Delivered, but obviously no signature, stole my ring. UPS spent a month investigating ME, calling, asking the same questions. There was nothing to say, I was home, condos, saw a UPS truck, never saw a driver or had anything delivered. Obviously their employee stole this expensive ring. Luckily the jeweler also used their own insurance & was finally covered, remade, shipped FedEx w a signature. Right after this, UPS delivered my box of wedding magnets for Save the Date to a totally different random unit, different building. UPS is bleeding $$$. Laying off apparently thousands of workers. This is the third time a purchase was attempted to be delivered by UPS to us, and EVERY SINGLE TIME, something went wrong to a point we had to pay in some way to try to have the package delivered. This last time was the worst. On 5/16, my husband was promised a delivery which never arrived despite tracking saying that it was “on its way”. Apparently, a 1lb item was too difficult to load on the truck, and the driver lied that he/she loaded the item at all.

Both my husband and I called customer service, to which I never heard back from a supervisor, and my husband was told that they were sorry and they “assured” us the delivery would be done the following day. My husband and I are paramedics, and we tried to explain to them that no one would be at the residence to receive the item, but I took a pay cut and remained at home to try to receive and sign for the item. Once again, the item never arrived and with calls to customer service no answer but “I’m sorry”.

We were told lie after lie after lie for reasons why the item could not be delivered, and each time we asked for a supervisor, no one followed up. Each time with an excuse of “the last person you spoke to did not input the information/requests correctly”. How can a company of this level pay people to lie to our faces and read a script to its customers rather than resolving an issue logically. We paid for a service, and when the service was not done correctly, we have to pay with our time and funds to try to fix the problem from the delivery service’s mistake? Make that make sense to me!

I recently used UPS to deliver a watch for repair. The watch was a birthday gift from my daughter. The UPS Store accidently entered the wrong zip code and I unfortunately missed it as I was focusing on the street address. However, instead of UPS returning the package back to the UPS store, the UPS driver decided to select a residential address that closely matched the address, ignoring that the package was destined to a company name. Upon contacting UPS, UPS took no responsibility and denied the claim since the address was wrong to begin with. Now my watch from my daughter is gone. Is Return to Sender no longer a viable option?

UPS falsely reported multiple delivery attempts while I was home the entire time specifically waiting for an important package. No driver arrived, no intercom call was made, and no delivery notice was ever left at my address. For TWO DAYS I stayed home because UPS representatives repeatedly assured me by phone that the package was coming. I spent hours contacting customer service and was even told that a supervisor had personally contacted the driver and confirmed the package would be delivered within approximately two hours. This was completely false.

I missed work, lost income, and spent two days under severe stress because UPS repeatedly provided misleading information and false promises. Every time I trusted what UPS representatives told me, the tracking was later updated again with another false “delivery attempted” status. At this point, this goes far beyond a delayed package. This is misleading communication, false delivery reporting, and extremely unprofessional treatment of customers. Tracking number: **. It is honestly shocking that a major international delivery company operates this way. Customers should not be lied to by customer service representatives and supervisors, forced to miss work, and left waiting for days for deliveries that were never even properly attempted.

I've been working with UPS for a long time with my business, not only do we consistently have issues with time sensitive document deliveries making it to where they need to be on time never receiving refunds or money taken off, we also have major issues getting in touch with any kind of support even from our account manager, Camilla **. Honestly the worst service I have ever received has been from this company... They lose our packages and send them back weeks later, looking like they have been run over or thrown in a dumpster. All the while we are trying to contact them to figure out where they have gone, with no responses from the company. Support always gives us the run around, never taking responsibility for lost packages or damage and never once offering a refund for the mistakes they make.

I wish I could say it has only been one to two packages but it has probably been a dozen or more over the past year, all of which are about $100-$150 and due to the neglect of care to these packages we have had to create repeat shipments and documents in order to get business done on time, duplicating and sometimes tripling money spent on shipping packages. They lack communication in all employee positions including the AI support, always dancing around the answer to simple questions, wasting countless hours of time just to be assured the package will EVENTUALLY make it to where it needs to go but won't be there when it was paid to be. It is very unfortunate, as a business that uses UPS nearly everyday, you would think that they would handle business with more care.

Constantly assured "won't happen this time, I'll stay on the line.". It did. Talked to the store - they were not able, by policy to help. Had no suggestions - had heard the issue from others. 3 DAYS - 9+HOURS OF PHONE TIME. THEY WON - THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE RUN AROUND SCAM WORKED. On my street, as you will see in the photo, there's a couple of pull-out places they can use, there's no need to block other people's driveways. He saw me taking a picture of him and his vehicle and taunted me while he was on the phone talking with someone. Rude and immature. This happened around 2:55 pm on Eastern Ave NE, Roanoke Va. I will be canceling and or not using any UPS services in the future. If it costs extra to use FEDEX or USPS, then that's what I'll do.

Extremely frustrating experience with UPS. I wasted two full days waiting for a package because of inaccurate tracking information and poor communication from customer service. Yesterday, the live map showed the driver circling my neighborhood starting around 11:30 AM, but the truck didn’t come to my house until around 3:00 PM after I had already been forced to leave at 2:45 PM. Today, UPS gave me a delivery window of 11:45–3:45, then suddenly changed it to 12:30–4:30. Customer service even told me I was “number 46 in line” for delivery.

At around 2:00 PM, I physically watched the UPS truck stop directly in front of my house, sit there for several minutes, and then drive away without delivering anything. When I contacted customer service again, I was told my package had been loaded onto the wrong truck and now cannot be delivered until tomorrow. The biggest issue is that I cannot stay home tomorrow because I have scheduled cancer treatment appointments. I rearranged my schedule and spent hours waiting based on UPS’s information, only to be given conflicting explanations and no real resolution. Very disappointing service and communication.

After over 40 years of business with UPS we are forced to stop using their service in favor of FedEx. FedEx reached out to us with lower prices and improved their service to us. UPS eventually reduced their prices to match after months of us chasing them around to give them a chance. We dealt with 3 different account managers before they deigned to give us better rates. Now after a couple months of review they say that the volume of our shipping does not support the deal they have given us. FedEx cold called us to offer the deal we have and to question us on how they could improve our service. UPS which is now enjoying the greatest profits in their history no longer cares about small businesses. They reward the giant corporations and punish the family run and struggling hard working entrepreneurs.

Updated on 05/19/2026: This is an update to my review from a couple of weeks ago. I filed a missing package claim on 05/12/2026. UPS JUST responded today with this: "Your investigation has been closed with a proof of delivery." So I called the CVS drop off point and asked if they had my package. They looked for all packages delivered by UPS. There is NO PACKAGE for me there - and there has not been one in the 6 times I've been to the CVS drop off point. I believe the CVS staff - NOT UPS. The new UPS:

    1. UPS lies all the time now. The CVS staff member confirmed this now the pattern of UPS with many other customers.
    2. UPS does not do anything they say they are doing or did.

    3. UPS employees may actually be stealing all of our "lost" packages for themselves.

If there was a zero star option, that would have been my preference.

Original Review: UPS used to provide really great service. They also had a customer service center near me that solved every problem I took to them. NONE of that exists anymore. About 1+ years ago, they closed the customer service center, outsourced their answering service to India or Southeast Asia, and now when they lose a package - it just stays lost. No one can find them anymore. File a lost-package claim? You may or may not get any response. UPS has actually become worse than FedEx - a low bar indeed.

They call me and tell me that they helped me schedule pick up for domestic package and I would need to call back to schedule for Monday pick up via UPS freight.

I call the number provided then was provided more numbers and directed to other departments for TWO hours (it is already 9pm). Now it is Monday and I believe I scheduled with the correct dept and paid the $22 as per requested but the pick up status states “INCOMPLETE”. Today is Monday and pick up is from 10:00-5:00pm. There was one instance the item was for my customer's Mother's funeral and UPS delayed the package. Recently I waited all week for a package, it finally made it into town, and for some reason UPS sent it to Florida. Using UPS services to ship your valued items is always a gamble. The delays, reschedules, poor timing and lack of customer service rank them the lowest of every shipping company possible. I'd rather get in my car and drive than to trust a UPS package delivery.

When I requested proof, I was told to contact the receiver, who said that he did not sign for the package, it was just handed to him. This is simply a scam to get more money from customers. FedEx provides proof of the signature without having to ask for it. I am going back to FedEx for all shipments, which are very expensive international shipments. UPS won't cover the damages and when they handed it off to USPS it became a USPS "Parcel Select" package with no insurance so guess who gets to refund the buyer out of their own pocket now? Me. Thanks UPS, you guys absolutely suck. Worst shipping company period. Why is it so hard to do your job right? Absolutely terrible experience with UPS. I made multiple calls ahead of delivery to solve a very simple issue: I live in a gated community and needed the driver to check in with the leasing office for access. Instead of helping, I was bounced between representatives, given incorrect information, and even sent to “tech support” for something that had nothing to do with tech. That alone wasted a huge amount of my time.

Then I was told I would receive SMS notifications when my package was getting close, so I could leave work and be there to sign for it. I confirmed everything—and still received ZERO notifications. The system simply did not work. Now I’m on the final delivery attempt, the delivery window has come and gone, and I’m expected to just sit around all day waiting with no accurate updates. There is no accountability, no reliable communication, and no flexibility for people who actually have jobs and responsibilities. What should have been a straightforward delivery turned into a frustrating, time-consuming mess because of poor customer service, misinformation, and unreliable tracking. UPS needs to seriously fix its communication systems and train its representatives properly, because this level of service is unacceptable.
