You have a delivery tracker and it's not accurate, the delivery estimate changes all day and when a signature is required you have to wait all day.

UPS is the worst ever. Even if they deliver to a home address it’s usually to the wrong one. And when they ask for feedback they don’t respond. If you want to contact them? Forget it. They make it impossible. 100% of the time they deliver to the wrong address in my community.

Their drivers will waste hours of your time to save 1 minute of their own. I recently sent a wedding ring to my parents' house to ensure someone was around to sign for it. Did UPS actually attempt to deliver it? No. The tracking looked suspicious so I asked my mom if she got a notice or anything. Nope. They did not even attempt delivery. Instead, they chose to immediately take it to an access point. That's a problem because their access point has terrible hours and I have to work.
If I wanted to take time off of work to go to a location of THEIR choosing, I would have sent it to my apartment (where I know they won't come up to do signatures) and gotten a location closer to me. I used to be more sympathetic to drivers, but quite frankly they are part of the reason their goals are so unrealistic. They complain about how they have no choice because their goals are unrealistic, but "meeting" unrealistic goals only makes the company think its possible.
I don't care to hear sob stories about how they needed that 1 minute so they don't miss dinner with their families again, because they do not care about the situations of the people they shaft. I worked as a preloaded their for a while too. More than once I got to work an entire shift in a truck that smelled like pee because the driver left a pee bottle in it. For people who have little courtesy, they have a lot of gall to act like they are owed courtesy when they do not give any.
I'm lucky that I can take time off of work to pick it up on an accelerated schedule, because otherwise they'd send it back. Costing me more money, time, and a huge headache. All of the disabled people who actually need their deliveries to be delivered or take longer to get to the door due to disability, have little recourse. My grandma has problems with that very issue. Lazy drivers agreeing to do a job that's impossible then acting like they are justified in making it the receiver's problem when they inevitably can't measure up. Instead of having some integrity and using their union to actually do something, they stick it to vulnerable people. What if this was a medication? If they are going to choose not to actually deliver packages, they need to not be charging as if they do and falsely advertising that they will. I ordered it to be shipped to a specific location. They did not fulfill their end of the deal.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the level of service I have received. The customer service experience has been one of the worst I have ever encountered. The information provided on the website does not match what customer service representatives tell customers over the phone, and even when calling multiple times, I received different answers from different representatives. No one seemed to know what was actually going on with my shipment.
What makes this even more frustrating is the lack of accountability and consistency. Customers should not have to spend their time making repeated calls just to get basic information about a package. Every interaction left me with more confusion rather than answers. The delivery delays have been unacceptable, and the communication throughout the process has been poor. When customers pay for shipping services, they expect reliability, transparency, and accurate information. Unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite.
Based on this experience, I would never voluntarily choose this company for shipping if other options were available. The combination of poor customer service, conflicting information, lack of communication, and delivery issues has completely destroyed my confidence in the company. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been so frustrating that I felt compelled to share it. The company needs to take a serious look at its customer service training, communication processes, and delivery operations. Customers deserve better than being given conflicting answers and left wondering when—or if—their packages will arrive. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish.

Was at my apartment all day only to be emailed saying they “missed me” and are rerouting the packing to a UPS center that DOESN'T EXIST. I spend money to drive over to the access point to be told they haven't existed for a while. And now my package is floating around somewhere where I cannot track it or go to get it. I paid extra for this delivery only to be doing most of the work myself. UPS is lazy and the first package I had received went straight into my mailbox, all of a sudden the second delivery they couldn’t even bother knocking on the door or calling to be buzzed in? Doesn't make any sense and is highly unprofessional. Don't pay UPS anything unless you want to wait longer and do most of the work.

My package was on track to show up on Saturday 5/30/2026 between the times of 2-6 PM EST. At 1030AM I received a notice that the package was out for delivery and at 1120AM it said Delayed. No reason just that it would be shipped at another date and time whenever they got to it ASAP. Nothing changed until Monday morning when it said out for delivery again arrival time 2-6PM EST.
At 130PM I got another notice that the package was rescheduled until the next day 6/2/2026, once again no rhyme or reason why. So today 6/2/2026 it said estimated delivery 2-6PM and it requires a signature, of course it was attempted delivery at 1045AM no where near the estimated time. When I called them after every change of their tracking system they assured me it would be there in the time frame they said it would be. I am the receiver of a package that was ordered on Ebay so I had no choice in the matter but I will never use UPS ever again - anything else but UPS.

This is another UPS delivery problem. I ordered a new bed for my apartment which was supposed to be delivered yesterday on Thursday. I planned accordingly and need arrangements for my friend to help me move it into the apartment. I get notification at 8:45 15 minutes before they stop delivering stating that it was being delayed another day, but it didn’t give a reason so it’s now Friday 930 actually and they stopped delivering 30 minutes ago. They’re supposed to be delivered tonight and I made arrangements again. Now they say that they sorted it, which I think means put it on the wrong truck to be delivered so it’s not gonna be delivered tonight and it’s Friday which means now I have to wait until Monday for it to be Delivered.
This happens every time I get deliveries from UPS. Every single time I know exactly what it is. It’s the driver’s going to get home on a Friday night so they don’t have to do any more work and they probably get in the truck or something. I don’t know exactly what they do with it but that’s where it goes actually. Talk to the UPS drivers and they told me that actually what happens so they inconvenience me twice and now I have to wait until Monday to get my new bed like the other person said I would give him less than one if I could, but that’s the lowest you can give them. I heard that Carol Tome a former Home Depot executive is the new CEO of UPS so maybe she will be able to turn him around.

I paid more than $100 to UPS to deliver an envelope containing documents related to a transaction worth over $40,000. I specifically chose UPS and paid a premium price because these documents were time-sensitive and important. The original package was sent from Lawrenceville, Georgia to Lakeland, Florida. Inside that package was a prepaid return envelope that was shipped on May 22, 2026.
As of May 29, 2026, the return envelope still has not been delivered. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that I could have sent these documents through USPS for less than $100 and purchased insurance coverage for the contents. Instead, I paid a premium to UPS, expecting faster, more reliable service and received the exact opposite.
The tracking information simply states: "Due to operating conditions, your package may be delayed. Your delivery will be rescheduled." That is not an explanation. It does not tell me where my package is, why it is delayed, or when it will arrive. When I called customer service, I spent my time navigating automated systems only to reach a representative who could do nothing more than repeat the exact same message I could already see online. No one could provide any meaningful information about the location of the package, the cause of the delay, or an expected delivery date.
I even asked if I could pick up the envelope myself because of the importance of the documents involved. I was told that was not possible. Apparently, no one could tell me where the package was actually being held, and I was not allowed to retrieve it even if I wanted to. To make matters worse, the tracking history references a facility in Doraville, Georgia, yet UPS could not provide an address where I could go to speak with someone in person or recover my package.
A one- or two-day delay would be frustrating. A week-long delay is unacceptable. A week-long delay accompanied by vague tracking updates, no accountability, no answers from customer service, and no ability to locate or retrieve the package is inexcusable. UPS charged premium prices for expedited service and then failed to provide the one thing customers are paying for: reliability.
At this point, I am left wondering why anyone would pay extra for UPS when lower-cost alternatives offer insurance options, clearer communication, and, in my experience, more dependable service when something goes wrong. This shipment contained documents connected to a transaction worth more than $40,000. The complete lack of urgency, transparency, and customer support shown by UPS has permanently damaged my confidence in the company.

BEWARE: Apparently Refrigeration Is a Secret VIP Benefit. Now I understand why this location has a low star rating. This review is for the UPS Store at 8226 Menaul Blvd NE in Albuquerque. For approximately nine months, I had refrigerated medication shipped to this location as a UPS Access Point. Every shipment was refrigerated, so I reasonably believed temperature-sensitive medications would be handled appropriately. Then one shipment was left unrefrigerated and ruined. An employee acknowledged the issue and documented it. Management had my contact information. No one called. No one apologized. No one followed up. When the replacement shipment arrived, I finally heard from management not to apologize, but to explain that refrigeration is merely a “courtesy” for non-mailbox customers and that I should not expect my medication to be refrigerated unless I pay for a mailbox.
So apparently the policy is: refrigerate medication for nine months, never tell the customer it’s optional, leave a shipment out and ruin it, then explain afterward that the customer should have somehow known better. Even more impressive was being told that the store bears no responsibility because I didn’t pick up the package fast enough. Apparently accepting temperature-sensitive medication and then failing to store it properly is not the issue. The customer is. If refrigeration is not guaranteed, customers should be told before packages are accepted, not after a shipment is damaged. Based on my experience, if you have refrigerated medication, choose a different UPS Access Point.

Not even one star service! First I use to work for UPS. Love them but it has went down it’s not the same the service is awful. I ordered a package and their system doesn’t recognize the address and I corrected. I went as far to ask to leave it in the manager's office of my apartment complex. I also talked to the local driver actually on the day he had my package on the truck. He said it will deliver tomorrow. He knew what package I was talking about as I gave him all the information because it’s small and came in on his route red flag for zip. Customer service is awful and out source. The only bright spot was a young man that help me at the store which has been chaos in Texas period because you can’t go or leave packages at warehouses now stores are chaotic.
I apologize to him because I know the job and now the main store personnel have to deal with not only chaotic store but chaotic customers but anyways very disappointing, because it was at the top. Now it’s just as bad as Usps. I recommend Fedex for delivery if that company doesn’t use them then I’m not buying. I understand that lost packages can happen, but what I experienced with UPS was beyond frustrating. My package contained custom-made clothing and gifts sent from Nigeria for my brother’s wedding. I have video evidence showing the package being scanned and physically loaded onto a UPS truck… and then it somehow vanished into thin air with no further scans or accountability. Throughout the process, I received conflicting information and spent months trying to get answers. UPS continued stating there was no evidence the package entered the network beyond drop-off, despite the fact that I literally have proof of it being loaded onto their truck.
To make matters worse, because my label was purchased through Shippo, communication and responsibility kept getting redirected elsewhere even though UPS was the company that physically lost the bag. The compensation offered was minimal and did not come close to reflecting the actual value or significance of what was lost.
At some point, it felt less about genuinely helping locate the package and more about quickly closing out the claim and moving on. I understand situations like mine may fall into the “1%” of lost packages, but I truly hope UPS revisits how those rare situations are handled because customers deserve better communication, transparency, accountability, and actual support when something this important disappears after entering UPS custody. I honestly still hope the package somehow miraculously turns up one day.

I’m extremely disappointed with the UPS customer service I received. I paid extra to have my package delivered to a UPS Access Point for secure pickup, yet somehow my package was sent to the local postal service instead. This completely defeats the purpose of paying for a designated pickup location. When I went to the UPS Store to get answers, no one could tell me where my package was or why it was redirected. I was passed around with zero accountability, and the staff acted like they had no idea what happened. Not one person attempted to look deeper into the issue or offer a real solution. I paid for a service I did not receive, and now my package is lost with no explanation. This is unacceptable. Customers deserve accurate delivery, clear communication, and staff who actually try to help instead of shrugging off responsibility.

I placed several escalations and even spoke to management, and no one was helpful (if they even call you back). Was trying to get something for an urgent event and paid for expedited 2-day shipping well before we needed it. When it didn’t arrive at the place on time, after about 10 calls to Fedex and multiple cases opened, we redirected the shipping.
They charged us for the redirect and then still delivered the package to the original (now wrong) address. It almost seems like every member in customer service has a script they are reading off of. Not even worth talking to a real person at this company. No one, not even management, is helpful. They need to get new staff that actually care. Terrible now that Amazon is using UPS for both delivery & returns. Ordered heavy canned goods from Amazon, received a destroyed open box with nothing inside. Should have been 30+ lbs., but it was empty. Several more purchases, delivered by UPS, the boxes have been opened & retaped back up. Like these thieving UPS employees are shopping thru your orders to see what they want to steal. Returns now are a PIA. I'm on Day #4, UPS has refused to retrieve my Amazon return. Not a heavy box or anything, just no UPS. I've had to use the Chat with Amazon on 4 days, they keep reordering UPS to pick up my box, but they're nowhere to be found.
In the winter I bought a heavy snowblower from Amazon. Didn't work. Tried to return it for almost a week. Either UPS didn't show up or they showed up & thought the box was too heavy/large, plus snow on the ground. I finally had to do a return label with the shipping #, then did a UPS pick-up on their website, even that took 2 tries to get them to come out. I've had multiple of the no-label Amazon returns, where UPS is just supposed to show up. Then no one ever does.
A few years ago, I had an engagement ring made by a jeweler in NYC. They shipped using UPS. With that, you have to insure it & say what's in the box. Sure enough! Driver marked it Delivered, but obviously no signature, stole my ring. UPS spent a month investigating ME, calling, asking the same questions. There was nothing to say, I was home, condos, saw a UPS truck, never saw a driver or had anything delivered. Obviously their employee stole this expensive ring. Luckily the jeweler also used their own insurance & was finally covered, remade, shipped FedEx w a signature. Right after this, UPS delivered my box of wedding magnets for Save the Date to a totally different random unit, different building. UPS is bleeding $$$. Laying off apparently thousands of workers. Good. They can't be trusted, seem to hire incompetent drivers, even at the top, lie about everything.

I will literally use any other mail service at this point over UPS. This is the third time a purchase was attempted to be delivered by UPS to us, and EVERY SINGLE TIME, something went wrong to a point we had to pay in some way to try to have the package delivered. This last time was the worst. On 5/16, my husband was promised a delivery which never arrived despite tracking saying that it was “on its way”. Apparently, a 1lb item was too difficult to load on the truck, and the driver lied that he/she loaded the item at all.
Both my husband and I called customer service, to which I never heard back from a supervisor, and my husband was told that they were sorry and they “assured” us the delivery would be done the following day. My husband and I are paramedics, and we tried to explain to them that no one would be at the residence to receive the item, but I took a pay cut and remained at home to try to receive and sign for the item. Once again, the item never arrived and with calls to customer service no answer but “I’m sorry”.
We were told lie after lie after lie for reasons why the item could not be delivered, and each time we asked for a supervisor, no one followed up. Each time with an excuse of “the last person you spoke to did not input the information/requests correctly”. How can a company of this level pay people to lie to our faces and read a script to its customers rather than resolving an issue logically. We paid for a service, and when the service was not done correctly, we have to pay with our time and funds to try to fix the problem from the delivery service’s mistake? Make that make sense to me!

Understandable delay, we always get it by Wednesday if that happens. This time the envelope was mis-sorted somewhere between Denver, Colorado Springs, and Aurora. I have reached out several times, and get a different answer every single time. Tracking hasn't updated or changed in over 24 hours. First call, I was told that they website had not updated and it was out for delivery. That was Tuesday. Wednesday, I was told it was out for delivery. UPS driver whom we see DAILY (same driver for YEARS!!!) said he showed nothing on it. Called back Wednesday afternoon, was told it would be delivered Thursday, they were not sure what happened. UPS driver came, and again nothing.
I requested another call from a live agent. I was then told my case had been escalated to someone at the Aurora location. She called me back and explained that someone at one of the other locations must not have placed it in the Next Day Air bags. That it was likely sitting in one of the trailers and she would keep an eye out for it, and would call me back once it was located. I even offered to make the drive to pick it up, explained that this was employee's payroll checks and they are now TWO days past payroll date and going into a Holiday weekend. Here we are at the end of another day... STILL no updates on tracking, the payroll company (shipper), has also reached out. NOTHING.
Not a single person whom I have spoken to has been of any real assistance. One facility blames the other facility, but not a single person is able to offer any type of help or solution. Honestly the worst service I have ever received has been from this company... They lose our packages and send them back weeks later, looking like they have been run over or thrown in a dumpster. All the while we are trying to contact them to figure out where they have gone, with no responses from the company. Support always gives us the run around, never taking responsibility for lost packages or damage and never once offering a refund for the mistakes they make.
I wish I could say it has only been one to two packages but it has probably been a dozen or more over the past year, all of which are about $100-$150 and due to the neglect of care to these packages we have had to create repeat shipments and documents in order to get business done on time, duplicating and sometimes tripling money spent on shipping packages. They lack communication in all employee positions including the AI support, always dancing around the answer to simple questions, wasting countless hours of time just to be assured the package will EVENTUALLY make it to where it needs to go but won't be there when it was paid to be. It is very unfortunate, as a business that uses UPS nearly everyday, you would think that they would handle business with more care.

Constantly explained that my transfer was simply sending me back to the Customer Service queue - not GSR as expected (supposedly the ones who can issue the shipping guarantee refund). Constantly assured "won't happen this time, I'll stay on the line.". It did. Talked to the store - they were not able, by policy to help. Had no suggestions - had heard the issue from others. 3 DAYS - 9+HOURS OF PHONE TIME. THEY WON - THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE RUN AROUND SCAM WORKED. This review is regarding the rudeness of the driver with working for UPS. On my street, as you will see in the photo, there's a couple of pull-out places they can use, there's no need to block other people's driveways. He saw me taking a picture of him and his vehicle and taunted me while he was on the phone talking with someone. Rude and immature. This happened around 2:55 pm on Eastern Ave NE, Roanoke Va. I will be canceling and or not using any UPS services in the future. If it costs extra to use FEDEX or USPS, then that's what I'll do.

Extremely frustrating experience with UPS. I wasted two full days waiting for a package because of inaccurate tracking information and poor communication from customer service. Yesterday, the live map showed the driver circling my neighborhood starting around 11:30 AM, but the truck didn’t come to my house until around 3:00 PM after I had already been forced to leave at 2:45 PM. Today, UPS gave me a delivery window of 11:45–3:45, then suddenly changed it to 12:30–4:30. Customer service even told me I was “number 46 in line” for delivery.
At around 2:00 PM, I physically watched the UPS truck stop directly in front of my house, sit there for several minutes, and then drive away without delivering anything. When I contacted customer service again, I was told my package had been loaded onto the wrong truck and now cannot be delivered until tomorrow. The biggest issue is that I cannot stay home tomorrow because I have scheduled cancer treatment appointments. I rearranged my schedule and spent hours waiting based on UPS’s information, only to be given conflicting explanations and no real resolution. Very disappointing service and communication.

After over 40 years of business with UPS we are forced to stop using their service in favor of FedEx. FedEx reached out to us with lower prices and improved their service to us. UPS eventually reduced their prices to match after months of us chasing them around to give them a chance. We dealt with 3 different account managers before they deigned to give us better rates. Now after a couple months of review they say that the volume of our shipping does not support the deal they have given us. FedEx cold called us to offer the deal we have and to question us on how they could improve our service. UPS which is now enjoying the greatest profits in their history no longer cares about small businesses. They reward the giant corporations and punish the family run and struggling hard working entrepreneurs.

Updated on 05/19/2026: This is an update to my review from a couple of weeks ago. I filed a missing package claim on 05/12/2026. UPS JUST responded today with this: "Your investigation has been closed with a proof of delivery." So I called the CVS drop off point and asked if they had my package. They looked for all packages delivered by UPS. There is NO PACKAGE for me there - and there has not been one in the 6 times I've been to the CVS drop off point. I believe the CVS staff - NOT UPS. The new UPS:
2. UPS does not do anything they say they are doing or did.
3. UPS employees may actually be stealing all of our "lost" packages for themselves.
If there was a zero star option, that would have been my preference.
Original Review: UPS used to provide really great service. They also had a customer service center near me that solved every problem I took to them. NONE of that exists anymore. About 1+ years ago, they closed the customer service center, outsourced their answering service to India or Southeast Asia, and now when they lose a package - it just stays lost. No one can find them anymore. File a lost-package claim? You may or may not get any response. UPS has actually become worse than FedEx - a low bar indeed.

Absolutely terrible experience with UPS. I made multiple calls ahead of delivery to solve a very simple issue: I live in a gated community and needed the driver to check in with the leasing office for access. Instead of helping, I was bounced between representatives, given incorrect information, and even sent to “tech support” for something that had nothing to do with tech. That alone wasted a huge amount of my time.
Then I was told I would receive SMS notifications when my package was getting close, so I could leave work and be there to sign for it. I confirmed everything—and still received ZERO notifications. The system simply did not work. Now I’m on the final delivery attempt, the delivery window has come and gone, and I’m expected to just sit around all day waiting with no accurate updates. There is no accountability, no reliable communication, and no flexibility for people who actually have jobs and responsibilities. What should have been a straightforward delivery turned into a frustrating, time-consuming mess because of poor customer service, misinformation, and unreliable tracking. UPS needs to seriously fix its communication systems and train its representatives properly, because this level of service is unacceptable.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience regarding UPS’s refund policy on 2nd Day Air charges. I needed to get two boxes to their destination quickly. I even paid extra to be sure they were there by 10:30 a.m. on the 2nd business day after the shipment. One box made it to its destination by 12:30 p.m. (close enough). However, the other box sat in a UPS facility in NJ (about 16 minutes from its final destination) from 4:24 a.m. on Friday, April 10th until MONDAY, April 13th when it was delivered at 12:40 p.m.
This caused the box to miss being loaded onto a ship that would get it to Bermuda in time for a conference where I was speaking the following week, rendering 200 spiral-bound workbooks useless, and delaying more than 30 books and 50+ prizes. This cost us a lot of money in re-printing workbooks in Bermuda and re-ordering more books & prizes and bringing them in a suitcase on the plane.
Imagine my surprise at being told that UPS would refund the “Shipping Charges” only, but not reimburse me for the fuel surcharge because the box was EVENTUALLY delivered! If it could have been delivered at any time EVENTUALLY, I would never have incurred the fuel charge by ordering 2nd Day Air service – I would have just sent it via UPS Ground and saved myself the extra costs! So, for a matter of $72.09, UPS has unfortunately shown their true colors as a company… and while I can’t imagine that it means much to them, I am so appalled by this that they have now lost my business – and more importantly, my faith in UPS as a company. I hope the $72+ was worth it…

First, dropped a package off at 8:15 am and paid over $200 to have it arrive guaranteed by 8:30 am the following day. I dropped the package off as soon as the store opened for the day to give UPS as much time as possible to get it to where it was going. Didn't matter that I did, as UPS only picks up packages once a day at 6:30 pm. So, instead of having just over 24 hours to deliver a priority package, UPS only had 14 hours. UPS states they can deliver at a certain time, but cannot. So they charge you money for something they were never going to do in the first place. Be honest and upfront. I'm sorry, we cannot do that. If you guarantee something, you need to take proper steps to do it. UPS doesn't. They just say they can do something with no intention of doing it. Once they have your money, they no longer care about providing service.
Next with this package was there was overnight weather that delayed the package. It was supposed to be delivered at 8:30 am, but instead arrived in the destination city at 8:31 am. At 8:37 a.m., the package was scanned in to the UPS processing facility. FOR THE NEXT 9 HOURS, nothing happened. No updates on the tracking app and it wasn't delivered. I called UPS multiple times throughout the day starting at 9 am.
I asked where the package was so the recipient could pick it up. Even though the package had been scanned in to a processing facility, no one in customer service could tell me where the facility or package was. Eventually, I was told it was "in transit" to another processing facility and once it got there it would be scanned again and then delivered by the end of the day (by 9 pm). Noon, still nothing. 4 pm, still nothing. Call customer service at 5 pm.
The only information customer service has is what is on the tracking app. So all customer service knows/tells you is what you already know. I asked who knows where the package is and when it will be delivered? Customer service says shipping knows. But you can't speak with someone in shipping because the shipping department does not speak to customers. It is "unsafe" for people to know where the package is. Yes, I had the customer service person repeat that to make sure they said "unsafe." I had heard correctly.
So, UPS is a company whose customer service cannot tell you where your package is or when it will delivered even though they are a SHIPPING company. Customer service said just wait and shipping will eventually assign a new delivery time. Once it is delivered, then call us back and we can see about a refund. But there was weather, so remember we cannot do anything about that and how it may affect delivery of your package. So, UPS cannot tell you if or when a package will be delivered you just have to wait and see as shipping makes those decisions, but nobody can talk to shipping.
So, this was a priority package guaranteed to be delivered at 8:30 am. I get weather delay but it was in the city it was supposed to get to for 9 HOURS. Customer service has no information, just wait and call us once the package gets there. The company, UPS - United Parcel Service with global shipping, can provide zero information about shipping. All they say is "Wait and if/when the package is delivered, you can call us."
UPS cares nothing about service once they have your money. I understand delays due to weather and circumstances out of one's control. But, UPS does not try to overcome that; they see it as an opportunity to do whatever they want, as they won't be held accountable because there was weather. Very poor communication, customer service is terrible as they have no intent of helping you, and delivery service is bad as no effort is made to do what they say.

This review has to do with my last experience and problems making changes to where I want to driver to leave my package. UPS appears to have a problem with their online system for placement of packages. I requested rear door multiple times, and they deliver to my front door. Even though I received an email stating I made the change, it does not get to the system that the dispatch and customer services sees.
This is what happened. After making the change and waited 24 hours, I called customer services, and they did not see the rear door. They called the office where my package was, and they did not see rear door. Customer services escalated my issue and someone from the escalation team called me and said the driver was notified about leaving it by the rear door.
The reason I was concerned was I was getting 5 packages, each weighing approx 35 lbs. Delivery was supposed to be by 2.30 PM and that was changed to no later than 9 PM. I was away and received a text that my packages was delivered at around 8.10 PM. I looked at the picture and yes, it was delivered to my front door and not the rear door. So escalating it did nothing. I had to call my neighbor whose son was nice enough to put the boxes into a wagon and leaving it in their garage until I got home the next day. Not much more I could say. I hope they look into this entire situation so others do not have the same problems.

Those exits are clearly marked. When a package blocks those doors, safety is the main issue during fire and smoke. Some of these complexes are specifically handicapped/wheelchair accessible. While simply tossing a package in the door may be considered delivery by the drivers, the possibility of physical harm or death is greater during an emergency. The contents of this package were important, and that was the customer service answer. The tracking number said that it's tracked via RFID, and the customer service person could not or would not give the effort to see if the location was still traceable. It wasn't even an expensive item that was damaged but nonetheless they made it impossible. He never received the refund for the damage. We will NEVER use this service again. Save your money and package your items yourself. I could have done a better job than they did.

We have used UPS for over 30 years. We ship all of our packages with UPS, but use a third-party software for this. Up until the end of last year, I could order boxes through our online UPS account. Now I cannot because I do not use our online account for the actual shipping. We still pay their shipping rates to them on the invoice they send out every week. I have spent over 3 months going back and forth with them, trying to get boxes for my stores to use for shipping. First, I was told we did not have an account representative and that once they assigned our account, they would contact me. Needless to say, no one ever did. I got a case number and someone was supposed to call or email me. Still nothing.
I finally thought something was going to work when I got an email from their supply division saying I would get an exemption to order boxes, that was not quite a month ago, and it never happened. I asked for someone to call me on the chat. The phone rings once, and I answer and as soon as I do, it hangs up on me. With all the money we pay UPS for shipping, they will not let me get free boxes to ship those shipments in. We have a FedEx account that we barely use (couple of times a year), and they sent me free boxes. It feels like they hope if they drag this out that I will eventually give up.

UPS was once reliable, efficient, and a trusted shipping giant. However, standards have slipped as other shipping companies eclipse their once-golden standards. Customer service has been atrocious with AI makes it impossible to resolve complex issues that arise when lazy drivers do not do their job. For example, recently a UPS driver was too lazy to simple scan the QR code to get through the gate to my apartment community. This pushed my delivery by two full days.
As of right now it’s 9:30pm on the rescheduled delivery day and I’ve no package. It’s likely to be rescheduled again! Rescheduled deliveries are clearly not prioritized. There’s no way to clearly communicate with a driver to make deliveries more efficient. Instead, this company feels it’s acceptable to just take the package back, unload it off the truck, to then have to reload it across multiple days. UPS is outdated in their customers ability to track packages, abysmal impersonal customer service, poor driver motivation, zero follow up following CS promises, and decreased efficiency. I will avoid buying from businesses who ship using UPS.

I would rate UPS less than one star if I could because they employ drivers that can’t tell the difference between the correct delivery address and the wrong address they leave your packages at. And then they tell you they delivered it to the correct address when they didn’t. On top of that the UPS claims process is set up for the claimant to fail the application process because they demand information that isn’t available to the public in order to continue with your claim, thus preventing the claimant from filing for a refund.
Yesterday I was sent confirmation that the UPS delivery driver had delivered my package to my shipping address, which was the Fetch package company. So I believed them, and excitedly waited for my package to show up in my Fetch account ready for delivery to me. All that takes time, obviously, and ultimately the package never showed up in my Fetch account, and upon enquiry Fetch said they didn’t have it. So I then did a deeper dive into the UPS tracking system and I discovered that the driver, instead of delivering it to Fetch at Marietta 30067 as they claimed they had, had actually delivered it to a private residence at Roswell 30068.
How they could not tell the difference between the two addresses when it’s their job to do so is a complete mystery. So then I reached out to UPS and my story gets worse. Because it took time to wait for my package to not show up in my Fetch account and I believed their driver that they had delivered it correctly, I was then outside UPS’s 24 hour retrieval period and they refused to make any allowances even though it was their fault, and refused to retrieve my package from the incorrect address they delivered it to.
So my only option at that point was to fill out a UPS claim for a refund. But even that was set up to fail the consumer. Because one of the required fields of information was the phone number of the shipper, and the company I bought the package contents from doesn’t list their phone number anywhere on their website or anywhere else of easy access to the public, presumably because it mighty be a private address. But without that phone number I could not hit ‘next’ and process my claim further. That phone number was an absolute must if I wanted to process my claim further.
Thankfully I remembered Yahoo, and hoped that if I looked up the shipper’s head office and financial data it may just have their phone number listed in official documentation, and luckily they did, so I was ultimately able to fill out my claim and at least get that far. But what about consumers that can’t access that information? They simply wouldn’t be able to file a claim, no matter the value of the contents lost to them due to incorrect delivery.
In my case I know the shipper has now sold out of the items I had shipped so I can’t replace them, and my only hope is that the wrong recipient will be kind enough to notify UPS that they have a package that doesn’t belong to them, and it is ultimately delivered to me. But my personal experience demonstrates that UPS can’t deliver our important packages correctly; they claim they have done so when they haven’t; some of their drivers can’t tell the difference between 30067 and 30068; their 24 hour retrieval window is way too short because it takes time to figure out they’ve made a mistake, especially if packages have to go to a package handling company first, so it needs to be at least 32 to 48 hours and based on a case by case basis; and their claims system is so difficult that they request information that’s not readily available to the public, so it seems their claim system is set up to fail the claimant.
All information should be optional fields in case you can’t get the information, not necessary fields that prevent you from going any further if you can’t fill them out. I am beside myself that this very important package has been lost to me because the UPS driver delivered it to the wrong address, and the items are now irreplaceable.

Then after I called multiple times and got someone to listen, I got the sender on a 3 way call. They then denied they could reroute the package back to me despite it being within my city. I just wanted to cancel the change of delivery since the sender acknowledged I paid for the item and the shipping. UPS was very misleading to tell me it could be done. There was no offer made by the UPS or the sender to do a package intercept, which is the real reason.. They still had to ship it back FOR FREE to the sender, which costs $13. It would be cheaper to have the option to cancel a change of delivery (either by sender or receiver).

I was waiting for a package to be delivered on 3/24 and it was not. When I tracked the package, it showed that the delivery guy could not make contact with the receiver. I live in a senior mobile home community and watched the truck come in the park, drive past my home, go around the block and leave. I reached out to chat support, that's a joke, spoke with a customer care (that's a joke) person, who said that there was a problem with the shipping label and to notify the shipper. I notified the shipper if the problem and they started a grievance with UPS.
I went and checked the tracking on the package today, and it shows as delivered. I walked around my home and yard and there was no package. I called support and explained that the package was not delivered and there was no photo showing it as being delivered. The support person said, "Oh he left it at your neighbors and I will have him come back and get it and bring it to you." I am not keeping my hopes up as UPS does not hire the most competent people it seems.

Shout out to the UPS driver who delivered a package in Marine, MN on Friday! I was waiting on an overnight UPS delivery containing a federal apostille and FBI background check needed for a correction with the Spanish consulate on a very tight timeline. I had to leave early for a performance gig and couldn’t receive the package myself, but my parents were there to pick it up.
They told me the UPS driver ran into construction blocking our road, but he parked and actually walked through the mud to make sure the package still made it to our doorstep. That kind of effort truly goes above and beyond. I’m incredibly grateful — thank you for making sure such important documents were delivered safely.

The second attempt on Amazon stated delivery attempted but needed a code for the door. That was a lie. Finally, I was able to speak with a UPS rep to alert her to my situation and that I live in a Senior building. No code is ever needed for the front door and the driver can use the phone number associated with the item upon arrival. She assured me my item would arrive today by 9 pm. Today, the UPS driver through Amazon made the delivery with no notice, proof of delivery and no pictures. Finally, we checked our mailroom on the first floor. Our package was placed against a wall. The driver could have used a dolly, got on the elevator and delivered to my front door on the 3rd floor. The laziness and incompetence is bemusing to me!!! Totally unacceptable.🙄

And I no longer order “Live Lobster” for my wife’s birthday or our anniversary. Seems the boxes are emptied, and thrown behind other boxes in the delivery warehouse. I will not order from the Amazon as they use Ups. Rather than Ups delivering to our physical address, they dump the package at USPS. In our small town, the USPS only delivers to PO Boxes. Sometimes the items are big and bulky, and require separate shipping numbers, BUT are identical to the other items in the order. How is it that I can order 2 truck leaf springs and 1 of them come to a screeching halt (according to tracking) somewhere in route to the destination??? It's likely that when the item is changing vehicles, the tracking numbers are NOT being checked and only the description is be looked at.... Someone says, "yep, already loaded that one", but it's the wrong description. So... one of the items gets left behind. The guy doing the final delivery only looks at an order number or a single tracking number, instead of both, and marks the ORDER as being delivered.

Then they can't tell you where the package is, and when you ask, they say they don't know what happened and can't see where the package is in the system. I just had the most ridiculous experience with a delivery company I have ever had. Package due to arrive Friday, it needed a signature so I stayed home to be there. Driver never knocked on my door and left a slip. I requested a redelivery for the following day. Again, I stayed home to ensure someone would be there to sign. Driver went all around neighboring towns before coming to my neighborhood. At 8:58 driver bypassed my street and went back to the hub, no delivery even attempted. Monday comes, I call UPS to explain the situation and stress to them that I am home, and if the driver just follows the delivery instructions to my rear door they will see a signed slip waiting for them, which is where the driver originally left it on Friday. One rep told me in response to my concerns, and I quote, “Don’t worry your driver will try to deliver today.” Try???
The second told me the signed slip wasn’t enough but refused to forward a message to my local hub letting them know to follow my delivery instructions and knock on the back door. While I was texting with another UPS agent, the driver somehow walked right by my signed slip that he had left Friday and went to my neighbors unit, and once again didn’t knock but left another slip. I then spent the next 3 hours on and off the phone with UPS reps. One said she forwarded my info to a supervisor who never called. A second one told me a supervisor did call me (I had my phone in my hands this entire time and ensured calls from unknown numbers were not marked as spam) and gave me a callback number with a Florida area code. I live in Maine. Called the number and it was Trinity hospital. Third rep confirmed my phone number attached to my complaint was some number not even close to mine.
That one informed me I’d receive a call from a supervisor in 30 minutes which did not come. FINALLY after ALSO messaging UPS on Facebook this entire time, the rep there escalated the case to my local hub who immediately called me and resolved the issue. He was lovely and I have no complaints there. I don’t know why I had to call UPS 8 separate times just to ensure my driver actually knocked on my door so I could receive a package. Each of the UPS reps I spoke to on the phone (aside from the manager at my local hub, shout out to that dude) did not display any regard or concern whatsoever, it genuinely felt like I was being gaslit this entire day. If I had a choice for who delivers packages that are of value it would not be UPS purely for their terrible customer service.

I sent a package to an apartment building in a busy Chicago neighborhood. The deliverer left it propped up against the building on a sidewalk that was 2 doors off a busy street. Lots of pedestrian traffic--it was gone in minutes. Filed a complaint--UPS dismissed it a week later, saying they could not get in touch with me. No missed calls or emails. No one on the phone would acknowledge this was wrong. Also, even if they did accept responsibility, they would not cover the value of the package that they lost.

Worst customer service ever. My package with life or death medication was opened & contents missing. Made a claim & it was closer so fast. The driver signed my name & left it in my apartment mail room instead of knocking on my door for my signature. They did nothing. I'm a choice member but not anymore.

I bought a product from overseas. The part was correctly classified as tariff code 8807.30.0030. UPS charged me a 15% trump tax, even though this tariff code is exempted as it appears on Annex II (I import stuff for a living so I know the ins and outs of the Trump tax). I call UPS to protest. They send me a form to fill out, and in the fine print, it says they will charge you $120 if they decide you did not have a valid reason to question them. The risk/reward is if they decide you did not have a valid claim, you end up paying a lot more than what you might get back, forcing you to back off.

I remember a time when if it was being delivered by UPS you could count on the package not getting lost, the package being actually on time if not early, packages actually cared for, not holes in boxes taped up or rewrapped, what looks like thrown, kicked around on the dock or your poor little light package squished under the pile of much heavier boxes. The driver that retired in my area was awesome. An elderly man that was here like clockwork making deliveries at 3-3:15pm, he would pull in the driveway and my dog would greet him with a treat (every delivery). Soon as my dog seen the van he would go meet him. I would also meet him to accept the package and talk with him very briefly, he was always kind with light humor. When he delivered a package that obviously was abused or had a hole he would apologize for it even though it’s obviously not his fault. “He just delivers.”
Switch to the new guys - package would say out for delivery but not show up, delivery time varies, I’ve seen as early as 2:00 to 5:30pm. Doesn’t pull in the driveway. Just parks in the street, walks across the yard unless it’s heavy, he does put it on the porch. My dog was confused, so was the driver as my dog would go out to greet him but doesn’t get greeted back. Just treated like a threat. My packages are often late not “delivery driver related” with text updates saying mechanical failures or delivered but doesn’t show up till next day. There were a couple times the driver couldn’t find it but later in the route did so he came back which is much appreciated. But overall UPS has seemed to be as unreliable over this last year as FedEx. Even worse is USPS to the point I don’t expect my packages when they say they will deliver.
I’m actually waiting on a package now that was supposed to be 2 days from Monday and was 120 miles from me at 2am on Tuesday but won’t be delivered until Thursday by 3pm “supposedly.” I must say on very rare occasions UPS does surprise me and my package is earlier than expected. UPS motto should be “it’ll get there when it gets there.” What happened to you guys? I would always pick UPS over any other carrier but now it seems it doesn’t matter who you pick they are equally not dependable. Sadly pride in the delivery profession has been discarded but what are you gonna do, it’s not like one more review is going to wake them up, be lucky if they even read it much less take it as creative criticism. If it was written on paper it would be considered as hate mail from a nut, ignored, wadded up and thrown in the trash.

Ups is the laziest bunch I've ever seen. Can't walk up on porch and put package by door. They put it at edge of porch where everyone can see it and the porch only has one step. That's pretty lazy if you ask me. Considering the way the world is today with all the stealing going on UPS should train their drivers to have a little consideration for their customers.

I ordered a small display piece for a local museum. It was $29.99. By the time UPS showed up at my door the cost had risen to $77.50 (tariffs) so I refused delivery and sky to have it sent back. The seller is very willing to refund when the return is received. This happened in early December. The purchase has not been returned. UPS has given me multiple excuses as well as multiple tracking numbers that never show any movement. I feel UPS should refund the purchase amount as they have lost the package. I have gotten nowhere with customer service, and continuously get transferred to different departments ending in being hung up on. I do NOT RECOMMEND shipping anything via UPS.

UPS IS THE WORSE!!! I ordered next day air on Thursday. Delivery was ordered and sent to make it on time! I call day it’s supposed to be delivered after it landed 25 miles from my house I call and they say it will be delivered on Saturday. Then claim they don’t deliver to east Durham on Saturdays! Then look it up and they deliver to residents in east Durham on Saturdays. I will post images to prove they are a load of bull crappers!!! One agent guaranteed it would be here by today Monday already days late then due to 1 1/2 inches of snow they clam it can’t be sent or picked up!

The delivery driver that delivers to our office building will use our restroom without asking and make a huge mess, pee all over the seat and not wash his hands. He then will go around the office, use our Culligan water and touch multiple different items with his unwashed hands. Unfortunately, because UPS is union, they will not switch the driver out. Which is a huge, huge problem. I find it rather disturbing and quite sick to be honest.

First of all, they deserve 0 stars. I asked “Ella” 5 times to speak with a supervisor because “Ella” couldn’t speak English properly, and it was frustrating repeating myself over and over. The customer service of this company is legitimately being run by AI robots and the cheapest bidding foreign call center. Anyway, I never got transferred to a manager because, ya know, they can’t let anyone know that they suck at their jobs. “Ella” refused to transfer me and kept asking the same question over and over.
The shipping industry needs some competition, because operating in what is basically a monopoly has left no standards for customer service, and as a direct result customer service is more of a ghost than a reality. Thanks for outsourcing your jobs to other countries! It really is just about the best thing anyone can do for our economy. No wonder this country is on its way out, just look at the people who are running large businesses LOL! We’re all screwed. Start learning how to grow vegetables and filter water because we’re on our way to being a true third world country with trash everywhere and people living in shanties, just like Argentina.
