In my opinion, UPS is the worst delivery service. I'm not even mentioning the pompous employees who work there and talk down to you. I'm saying they take every opportunity NOT to deliver a package. They'll either take it to the pickup point, pretending no one was home, even though no one even called at the door, or they'll reschedule the delivery, constantly. For example, two packages were supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I received a message and I was right at home, but then I get a message saying the delivery has been rescheduled due to new rates. What rates? It cleared customs long ago and is now in New Jersey.
Yeah, guys, you've got so many customers that you don't have time to deliver packages, and you don't really want to. The customers will suffer, but the delivery service and, apparently, the companies who haven't found a better delivery service than UPS don't care. Incidentally, USPS's regular mail service works reliably compared to expensive commercial delivery. This is cause for concern.

I paid extra for air shipping and like it was expensive things in the package I also paid for insurance, when I received the delivery confirmation I called the recipient to take it in the house right away, they did not find the package, I filled a claim with the insurance they did an investigation and denied the claim, I asked for proof of delivery and basically got told "trust me bro it was delivered" as proof... no picture of the package in front of the door no proof that they even drove to the house just nothing, I was out $1000 and also what price can you put on the sentimental items that were lost...

UPS claims 97% on time deliveries, yet I can't remember the last time mine wasn't "delayed." They managed to get it halfway across the country in two days then it sits 25 miles away until it's late. I try to avoid buying from companies that used them and always just expect it won't show on time if I get stuck with them.

I had a package shipped using UPS and even had it packed by them to make sure that they won't use the excuse that the packages was not boxed properly. I even mentioned it's fragile repeatedly. Lo and behold the package arrived with the contents broken. It was supposed to be a gift and it became a complete waste of money.
I filed a claim complete with multiple pictures while still inside their box and it was immediately denied stating "we are unable to approve the claim because the packaging did not meet UPS standards according to the UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions". I wasn't even asking for a complete refund of the whole cost of shipping (which is expensive btw) and just the items that got destroyed. The turnaround for their decision was quick though so I appreciate the immediate reply. At least I didn't waste a lot of time hoping that they would accept responsibility.

The times I used them; they never respect their own delivery windows. Plan on taking the whole day off if a signature is required. They can't get it right even if their life depended on it! And beware if you miss them, they will send it back to the shipper in middle of the night without hesitation, no time to have them hold the package or anything. We are running a business, not a circus. Business Hours are from 0500-1330, we are not open at 1900 hours.

My package was on the truck and I had the tracking information showing it was out for delivery. I took the day off work to wait for this item to be delivered and a few hours after the projected delivery time, I checked the tracking status again only to show it had been returned to the warehouse and rescheduled for the following day. Upon calling UPS, they essentially told me I was out of luck and there was nothing I could do. I just had to wait. Needless to say, I’m pretty disappointed in this.

Have issues with UPS in the past m/b claiming they made deliveries when they never did. Often times they dropped packages on the apartment Porch on the street, and often times they never delivered at the doorstep of the recipient. I am tempted to conclude that this organization is the worst delivery company out there compared to DHL, Amazon and FedEx.

Used to be my most trusted way to send and receive package. Unfortunately, now it is my least trusted company to send or receive packages. Do not use this company. They will tack on additional fees without the seller or buyer being aware. Especially if your item is coming from overseas. There will be a import fee or a transport fee or a customs fee. You will not know these speeds until they show up at your door with your package. Demanding you pay them money.

I was home in my kitchen when I get a notification that a delivery was attempted but my front door or driveway was inaccessible. I live in an apartment building. I'm not sure how that's possible. I don't understand how people like this can just lie about trying to make a delivery and still keep their job.

Over one week and three times saying out for delivery. Called twice and was told it would be delivered that night, no package. The first call was at 5PM and was told driver had 89 deliveries before mine. Second call said they had the package and it would be delivered before 8PM. Seven days now still no delivery. Today I seen a UPS truck delivering to a neighbor. No reason for this type of action. I will not buy anything online that uses UPS. I guess Amazon will get my business.

UPS claims they left a package in my garage at 6:42 p.m. on 2.13.26. That did not happen. My garages are closed at all times. I have Ring cameras that cover the two garages and the front door. There was no activity recorded for one hour before their alleged delivery and no activity until 9:50 p.m. when my wife and I came in from dinner. I called UPS customer service. I was told proof of delivery would be emailed to me and it would include a "live" map that would show the delivery location. The only thing they sent was the same thing they had already emailed me. Absolutely no use. I was also told I would have to start a claim with my shipper.
I had ordered a pair of HOKA running shoes from their website. I have 11 pair of HOKAs that I had ordered in the same manner. I called HOKA on 2.14.26 and spoke with a live CSR. She told me she could not ship another pair of shoes but that she would issue credit back to the credit card I used for the purchase. She also told me it was the 5th time this week she had heard from a customer who never got their UPS package. Try finding anyone at UPS who will take responsibility, provide actual proof of delivery, or care even a little bit about the crappy service they provide. And no care whatsoever about the quality of their customer service support. I can't do anything about who a seller uses for delivery but I can and will speak up about the sorry UPS service and I will never use them again.

I have a package that is located in my hometown waiting to be loaded on a truck since January 30th 2026. Today is February 12th 2026. Customer service is staffed by agents who speak English poorly. The agent cannot tell me anything other than it has been placed on hold for Fraud. He cannot tell me what prompted the alert, nor why it was not opened to verify the contents. I advised as to what the contents are supposed to be, but he has no recourse to resolve the matter, nor a contact who can do so. I physically went to the holding location but it has no public office, only trucks and docking bays. No one has attempted to call the sender to resolve the issue.

UPS SUCKS. Every time I have a package shipped to me via UPS they always send a message saying the package is out for delivery, then an hour or two later I get an email with this message "The receiving business was closed and delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day." I DON'T RESIDE AT A BUSINESS. I work from home and I am here ALL DAY EVERY DAY. Nobody came by. Nobody left a missed shipment tag. They are literally 5 out of 5 on the last 5 packages they have handled for me.
Their customer service is the weakest experience ever, as the phone agents literally cannot do anything but read the same email you just received back to you, unless you opt in to their MYCHOICE graft program. You can't have your package held for pickup unless you pay them their 20 bucks. They need a visit from Luigi. I will never have anything shipped via UPS EVER AGAIN. If UPS is the only choice for shipping an item, then I don't need it.

It is now the following Wednesday, five calls to customer service, three trips to the UPS corporate store and nobody can find the package or even tell me that they’re going to figure out how to find it. All notifications tell me it was delivered on Saturday at our front porch, which was impossible with a front gate locked and no access to our front porch on 1000 foot driveway. We have a very large drop box before this locked gate with a sign telling FedEx and UPS to drop packages in in the box. As of this point I have no other recourse to find the package or even talk to anybody with any authority because 99% of their communication is through email or customer service from who knows where and the folks speak extremely poor English. The only reason I gave one star is because it's the lowest I can give. UPS in San Antonio, TX is absolutely the worst. I never know where my packages will be delivered. As a business owner, I need packages delivered correctly and on time. I've started telling my vendors, I will not do business with them if they ship UPS. The latest issue is they delivered a package to the business next to mine and it was a week later before the business realized the mistake. I had to reorder the product which they shipped FedEX. Don't waste your time calling customer service because nothing happens. I've been told many times that someone from dispatch will call me with in 24 hours. I never recieve a call.
I think part of the problem is management policies. I think the drivers get penalized for bringing packages back to the warehouse. If this is the case, this encourages the drivers to deliver packages to the wrong location. I blame management for the poor service along with UPS policies. My business is the Brook City Base, San Antonio, TX.

I wished ups would pull their heads out of their asses and get with the program already. This is the worst business with the slowest drivers. If there were 0 stars i would rate it there. Its 2:16pm of business day 9 of your package will arrive today. Guess what I just called to check and already they know it will not. Waited on line once for 2 hours just to be assured that yes it will be there tomorrow, call back dead non working line. First if I didn't need it overnight I would not have paid 20 extra dollars. Second one of the people I did talk to said it was a problem with lack of delivery people and problems at the warehouse and not the weather as every message said. Since COVID customer service is non existent and we continue to accept that because we have become accustomed to having our money taken and no recourse. No human contact unless you go to exhaustive measures. I would have actually been ok if every day it didn't say, "Your package is on the truck and will be delivered by..."
I have tried to go pick it up and as I said something fishy at the warehouse. Excuse after excuse. And nobody gives a damn. Not one person had the ability to fix, or even give an option other than it's been sent to management and the next call yes sent to management's management, they will "really" get to you now. If we continue to accept this, the way we do bagging our own ridiculously priced groceries to help companies reduce their workforce. This is so unacceptable. UPS has options but instead of activating them they will just let us wait, why not we will still give them our business.

UPS customer service doesn’t give a shit about you. This is in reference to a prescription order shipped through UPS for my chemotherapy medicine. My order was received at the Chelmsford Massachusetts UPS hub on January 29. This order status did non-update throughout the following weekend and still has not updated. I called customer service and was told that the order is lost. No one did anything other than look at the status that I could see. I informed the customer service rep that this is a critical medication and I needed it ASAP. I was told that I needed to contact the shipper so they can submit a claim.
No one was willing to ask any further questions, reach out to other departments or make any phone calls. I felt like my issue did not matter to the customer service rep, especially when this is such a critical medication that I am now delayed on starting. 0 Stars – UPS 2 Day Air Failed for a Wedding Cake Delivery. I paid UPS for 2 Day Air shipping for a perishable wedding cake, and it was a complete failure from start to finish. The package was shipped on 12/31/25 at 1:35 PM using UPS 2 Day Air, with an original estimated delivery date of 1/6/26 to South Carolina. By that time, we had already left for our wedding in Florida. In an effort to still receive the cake on time, we proactively requested and paid an additional $98 to reroute the package to Florida, on top of the $58 original UPS 2 Day Air shipping cost, nearly $150 total just in shipping.
Despite paying for UPS 2 Day Air, the cake was still delivered late on 1/7/26 at 7:12 AM. Not only did the wedding cake not arrive on time, it was never able to be received, and the cake ultimately perished. I live out of state and had no way to retrieve it. UPS has refused to address or refund the nearly $150 in UPS 2 Day Air and reroute shipping charges, even though the service paid for was not delivered as promised.
What makes this even worse is that the wedding cake baker felt so terrible about the situation that she refunded some of her own money for the shipping concerns, despite the delay being completely out of her control. The vendor showed more accountability than UPS. I contacted UPS customer service four separate times, spending over 2 hours on hold, only to be transferred repeatedly and ultimately hung up on by a UPS agent when I asked for a call reference number. I pay less for Amazon shipping and somehow still get packages in two days. Paying UPS almost $150 for 2 Day Air resulted in nothing but stress, disappointment, and a ruined delivery. Do not use UPS if you need anything important delivered on time. This experience was a major letdown.

DO NOT USE UPS! Apple were sending me a package, which I tracked on the UPS website, it said it was on its way for 5 whole days and gave me no information about a delivery date. I then emailed asking why it’s been stuck in a warehouse, and I got an email back saying something leaked on it, and I needed to call a number to get it delivered. Apparently they had already tried to delivery three times which they did not tell me about so I had to organise a rescheduled delivery, the lady I spoke to told me it would be delivered between 12 and 4 it was not it was delivered at 11:30.
Then I called customer service, who were actually quite helpful and told me they could deliver again in the next hour, and I could choose to be emailed or called. I chose email because I was quite annoyed at this point and didn’t think I could keep my temper on a call. The lady at the warehouse I spoke to then CALLED ME after I had requested email. Saying that the delivery attempt was unsuccessful and if it did not deliver the next day, it would be sent because to the warehouse (it’s over an hour away on the train and I don’t have a car) and I would have to pick it up, which I cannot do since I’m away for the weekend.
I was very annoyed at this point because they hadn’t informed me of any delivery attempt prior to today, so I slightly raised my voice, to which the lady then claimed I was being very rude simply for stating my valid concerns. She then told me they would try to deliver again, but it could be anytime between 9 and 4. I cannot be in my house the entire day but apparently, even after UPS messed up, they can’t just guarantee a morning delivery. Worst experience ever, do not use UPS if you have other options.

It has been 8 days now and the package has been siting in one location 1.5 hours from me with no attempts at delivery, I have made multiple phones calls and gotten the run around, flat out lied to and still have no guarantee that it will be delivered as the facility does not answer their phones even when UPS calls and has not called me back for 2 days in a row when I have been promised I would receive a call. They are claiming bad weather which stopped 4 days ago and I have had deliveries by FedEx, USPS and Amazon but this allows them to not have to refund me the money I paid for a package that is 6 days late from the 2nd day air shipping plus I am told I can’t even file a claim until it is delivered.
The package will show it is to be delivered the night before and the next morning then it is not delivered and suddenly be listed as in climate weather. I have even offered to drive down and pick up the package as the roads have been cleared and easily driven for 3 days now but am told that office does not allow outside pick up. When asked for a manager who can resolve the issue I am told there is nobody else to talk to that I have or talk to the customer support people who evidently can’t actually do anything to resolve problems.

Come to find out it was the old address but it wasn't too far from where my son and his dad lived. The driver claimed he put it inside a locker. My son's dad went to go search for the packages. Nothing wasn't there or found so next I filed of claim with ups why nobody hadn't gotten in touch with me regarding my packages or refund. Therefore, I opened a claim with UPS and was emailed once initially, but never again despite me sending SEVERAL emails asking for any updates. After about 6 weeks, I was abruptly told that the claim was closed and that I should contact the shipper instead, even though UPS had told me they delivered the package, ie: they were the last ones in possession of it. As much theft is going on, I'm glad I had someone get it for me. I asked for my money back that I paid to have it shipped on a specific day and because I had fraud on my card they told me they could not issue me a refund. I then called the UPS customer service. I was informed by an agent and agent supervisor there is nothing they can do and to have the sender call the UPS Store the package was given to. My daughter was shipping a package from overseas. She carefully researched the process and requirements for sending it to the U.S. under recent tariff activations. UPS took it upon themselves to assess a tariff on a package that was clearly well under the tariff limits and then sent it to their Brokerage team. My daughter had already completed ALL necessary forms and plainly wrote these were UNSOLICITED gifts. But UPS didn't care and then charged me the tariff amounts as well as a brokerage fee. Plus every item was listed on a separate line; which means higher fees (charged by line) instead of, for example, keychains qty 5. No they type out each keychain on a separate line.
We have disputed these fees. Other problem is that the original email they gave me didn't go through. The UPS servers wouldn't accept it, My daughter got her email through and that department said they don't handle that, They gave her another email; they also said they don't handle it. So we now have filed a dispute form and am still waiting and fighting for over 6 weeks now.

The driver did not even leave a note that an attempt was made. I rescheduled delivery for 01/10, & the rescheduling was confirmed. I stayed in the apartment all day. Still no packages. I talked to customer service on 01/12, as a snotty rep at an ups store had told me that’s what I needed to do (couldn’t help in the least). Customer service told me that one package was in holding while the other was on the way back to the shipper. They couldn’t even explain why.
One package did appear on 01/14. The other one was sent back to me again, but apparently had the wrong address on the label (they screwed up when they created a new label). I have talked to customer service numerous times. They told me to file, & I did so yesterday. When I called today to make sure they received the claim, I was told they didn’t even though I got a pop up saying that my claim was submitted. I called UPS customer service today (1st time today) and was told it was missing and needed the shipper (my brother) to file a claim to initiate an investigation. So in the meantime I called Ups customer service back (2nd time) and they confirmed that the package is missing. So my brother called me after contacting Ups customer service. Imagine my joy at finding the perfect present for my mother. Now imagine my dismay at learning that UPS was responsible for delivering it. I was given a delivery time slot the night before. As I was not available that day, I rearranged my schedule to be home the next working day. Either I or my nanny remained at home for the entire delivery window. UPS arrived 20 minutes after that window had ended, at which point my nanny had taken the children to a previously scheduled class. The delivery was marked as “recipient not available”.
I assume this was technically correct. I contacted the supplier, who asked UPS to attempt delivery again. To avoid a repeat of events, I requested that the parcel be delivered to a UPS drop-off point. UPS did not do this, and instead attempted delivery to my home again, at a time when I was — predictably — not there. The supplier then requested a third attempt. On this occasion, I stayed home the entire day. UPS did not arrive. There was no delivery attempt, no notification, and no update. UPS subsequently returned the parcel to the sender.
I will receive a refund for the item, but not the postage, and I have lost the opportunity to give a present to my mother, whom I have not seen in person in ten years. At no point did UPS acknowledge missing its own delivery windows or failing to follow redelivery instructions. Responsibility appears to have been considered optional. Overall, this was an impressive demonstration of how not to deliver a parcel. I would not choose UPS again.

They’re the GOAT at not delivering because they don’t know what addresses are and then refusing your claim because they’re special chicken nuggets who could never actually be at fault. They’re absolutely perfect and that missing package is definitely on you as is the address they changed multiple times. Customer service isn’t a thing and I personally don’t think they have human employees. They might but you’ll never speak to one. Just a chat that’s been in beta since before the Greek alphabet was invented. I’d give negative stars if that were possible so instead let me just say Long Live Literally Any Other Company!! May they replace UPS and may their stock rise forever.

I had an Express medical related package that was sent to my address. Sadly, the UPS driver dropped off my package on the sidewalk instead of delivering my package to my front door/front porch. At first, we thought that it was a piece a trash blown on the sidewalk, until later when my wife was walking our dog, she picked up the package. UPS needs to discipline the driver and remind him that no matter what, it's part of his duty to deliver packages to the front of the house not on the sidewalk, especially when the package has the word "EXPRESS" written on it with big letters. I can't imagine of any reasons for driver actions other than being a lazy jerk.

Absolutely the worst organization in the United States by Far. The last five shipments that were scheduled for delivery never made it to my house. I’ve had their managers lied to me on the phone. I’ve even had two delivery drivers now. Come off the truck and tell me they’ll be right back. They have a delivery down the road to not return. Amazon, Reebok, and other companies need to figure out that UPS is killing your business. UPS is absolutely a business killer! They are terrible and absolutely just suck. How do you lose five packages in a row? The fact that I even have to leave one star is ridiculous.

I received a package from Omaha Steaks on December 23rd from UPS. The package was marked 28lbs. I went to pick it up and it felt almost empty and it clearly had been opened and resealed. Items had been removed and there was one box with 1 pound of steaks inside left. I called UPS customer service to complain and was told since I was not the shipper there was nothing they could do. This is terrible. Someone from UPS clearly stole these items. I am shocked at the lack of concern and dismissive response I received from UPS.

They routinely "misdeliver packages" and have lost multiple of my packages. Then they make contacting customer service difficult by forcing you through a million menus and AI chatbots instead of actual customer service. Then when you actually, finally, thankfully get to talk to a real person, they have a bad attitude. And I empathize with their customer service operators because it is not their fault, the company doesn't empower them or care about doing a good job, and they make it impossible to contact customer service so when you finally do, of course you are mad at the service people. They have no actual in-person people to help, and if you think you can go to a "UPS Store" for help, they will turn you away and tell you to call the AI customer service chatbot slop instead.
They recently lost my wife's package with her xmas present coming from a jeweler. Now I have to wait 10 days for their investigation to tell me what I already know. The package was out for delivery on a truck and then mysteriously disappeared. Another once great American company that has gone to trash.

I ordered medication to be delivered by UPS and 4 times it was sent to the incorrect address in spite of the correct information being sent from the drug company. UPS was unwilling to change both the city and state. They said they would only change one thing. I have spoken with first tier employees, a supervisor, and a person who works in their "medical department". I even called the drug company and merged calls and the drug company verified that they had the correct address and that was what was sent. This ordeal has taken over 2 weeks and I still do not have the medication. I will endeavor to use other delivery services in lieu UPS whenever possible. UPS managed to turn what should have been a routine delivery into an absolute failure—one with serious consequences. My package contained prescription medications, yet UPS lost it and treated the situation with astonishing indifference. Reaching a live representative was nearly impossible; the automated system ran me in circles, and when I finally spoke to someone, the help was superficial at best.
The core issue was a computer glitch on UPS’s end that repeatedly diverted my package to a pickup site four hours away, despite my correct home address clearly printed on the shipping label. Instead of fixing the error, UPS simply let it happen over and over again. I was given empty promises that the package would be retrieved, rerouted, and delivered to my home. None of that happened. Each assurance turned out to be meaningless.
What makes this even more infuriating is that I pay for UPS Choice Premium, which is marketed as a service that provides control, reliability, and support. In reality, it was completely useless. It did not prevent the error, it did not speed up resolution, and it did not provide access to competent customer service. Paying extra for a service that offers zero real benefit during a critical situation feels like a scam.
This wasn’t an inconvenience—it was a failure involving medically necessary prescriptions, handled with negligence, poor communication, and broken promises. UPS demonstrated a total lack of accountability, ineffective systems, and customer service that collapses the moment something goes wrong. If UPS can’t be trusted to deliver essential medication or fix their own errors, they have no business claiming reliability.

Based on this, the only reasonable conclusion is that the package was either mishandled or stolen before delivery. I immediately contacted UPS customer support, but they were completely unhelpful. The only option they offered was to open a claim—which was closed in less than two days with the excuse that the package “could not be located.” No real investigation, no accountability, no resolution. I am extremely frustrated with UPS’s delivery service. After moving into a newly built home, UPS repeatedly refused to deliver packages to our address and instead returned them to the sender. We contacted customer service multiple times and were told the address was authenticated, yet no explanation was given for the delivery failures.
Despite providing additional details for the driver—including confirmation that the home is clearly marked with a visible house number on the mailbox—packages continued to be returned. This forced me to request refunds and attempt to avoid vendors that use UPS, even though customers are rarely informed of the carrier before placing orders.
After weeks of calls, I was finally contacted by a local distribution center, as direct access beyond centralized customer service is restricted and no public contact information is available. Although they apologized and assured the issue was resolved, the same problem occurred again the following week. After reviewing customer ratings and feedback, it is clear that thousands share similar experiences, pointing to systemic service failures. What is most frustrating is the lack of accountability and the inability of individual customers to effect any meaningful change or resolution.

Each day, I received text notifications stating the package was “out for delivery,” but nothing was delivered. I contacted customer service multiple times and received no clear explanation or resolution. Communicating with customer service felt completely ineffective and unhelpful.
Now, the exact same issue is happening again. Another Next Day Air package was scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. It is now Wednesday, and I’ve just received a notification saying delivery has been pushed to Thursday. When I requested a refund due to the failure to meet the guaranteed delivery timeframe, I was told that UPS “does not do refunds,” despite the service clearly not being fulfilled.
UPS charges a premium for Next Day Air, yet has failed twice to meet even basic delivery expectations. **. On the 1st for Black Friday sales, I online purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer, and I was not given any option as to before I purchased it online. I was not given any option as to what day I would like to have it delivered. That was the 1st problem. The 2nd problem was that I had to wait, and that was Monday night, and I call people on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of last week. And I was told all the way up until Thursday morning that I had not yet been assigned to a company to have it delivered. When after I purchased the or, the, um, uh, the freezer online. It said it'd be here Thursday, December 4. Now, I don't know about you, but when I'm not home, I don't like to have items delivered, especially like an item as big as that. Um, basically because I wanted to make sure that as soon as it got to my house, I was going to bring it inside.
So I had called, and I, and this was like Thursday afternoon. And they said, "Oh, well, it's delayed anyway." And I says, "Well, my husband and I both have Sundays and Tuesdays off," and they said, "Well, we don't deliver on Sundays." Okay, fine. So Tuesday. So I was, um, I was required to pay for uh, $12 or 1199 to have the date changed to this last Tuesday, the ninth of December. Well, Tuesday ninth, Tuesday, December ninth, came and went and no delivery. So I ended up calling that evening, fuming, and um, spoke to somebody, I believe in the Philippines, um, or could have been Mexico, I don't know. But, um, Because a person would not identify. As to what country? And um, I informed her that I had to pay to have the date changed to a later date, then their original day of the 4th of December. She told me, well, um, you, we, "It just got assigned, and it's with UPS." I said, "Well, um, I need to have it on the Tuesday, December 9th." She says, "Okay, fine."
So we got that, like I said, the day came in and went and no. Upright freezer, frigidaire. So, Tuesday afternoon, I called to confirm that it was still arriving that day and I also checked, um, not only the website for home people, but my app that I had recently downloaded. Come to find out it's it said it was in uh, it was uh, in transit. Well, it said it had gotten to my West Sack, California distribution center. Great. But the next part for it being out for delivery was not showing. So I had called to say what's going on? So the person said, well, um, Let me, uh, this is person in in the Philippines, I'm pretty sure. She says, "Well, I can leave a message for your local fish and business center and find out what's going on." And I says, "And you'll be the one to call me back." She says, "Yes, I will." I said, okay.
So not 10 minutes later, um, I was speaking with my husband about all this because we, again, we're both off on Tuesday. And I got a call from a supervisor from the West Sacramento, California. distribution center saying, uh, it's not on the truck. So why didn't they get on the truck? Well, I don't know. Okay, well, isn't it your job to make sure that it, that happens? Well, yeah, okay. Well, one of mine or other people. I said, well, somebody fell into doing their job today. Because I don't see my appliance being delivered today. And so she says, okay, well, see what I can do and uh, she said, well, "The best I can do is make sure it's on to check tomorrow," like you failed in doing today, or any of the other coworkers, supervisors, fail in doing that job today. She says, "I'm sorry, ma'am, but if you want to call in the morning, our distribution center opens at 9 AM. Uh, you can call then and and see if it's on a truck." Okay, fine.
So yesterday morning, the 10th of December. I called and spoke to a Christine, the previous one, I think her name was, Wendy, but I'm not entirely sure. But anyway, so I talked with the Christine yesterday morning at the West Sacramento distribution center. And she, I explained to her what was going on up until that point. She said, well, Let me find out. I'll give you a call back. She verified my phone number. She verified the order number, uh, and verified that it was supposed to been here the day before on the ninth. Okay.
So maybe, I don't know, five, 10 minutes, she calls him back and she says it's on a truck. I said, "Well, not to sound too pessimistic." I use other words, no foul language, but I was very pessimistic on it being on a truck. Yesterday. Um, I said, well, and I had told the person the night before, when I was talking them at the West Sacramento, Distribution center, I says, "Look, I says, my husband and I, thank goodness we have Tuesdays off. But unfortunately, your company failed in delivering our product." I says, "Now, I need to have our, um, appliance delivered after 6 PM on Wednesday, December ninth." She says, "Well, you have to talk to tell that person in the morning." So I did.
When I talked with Christine yesterday. I says, "Listen, Christine," I says, "here's a headache that I've had so far, and I told her everything that I've told you." And she says, "Well, I have verified that it's on a, it's on a truck and they headed to you today, but I cannot guarantee when it will be there." And I told Christine, "Listen. I says, I have, I have a lot of insecurities about what's going to happen today." And I says, "Neither my husband or I going to be home until after 6 p.m. this evening or 1800, your time, whatever format you use." Um, and I says, "Can you understand where I'm coming from?" Well, I can see, I says, "No, I don't think you do." So that was the whole trouble, uh, uh, yesterday.
Well, unfortunately, it did arrive before 6 PM or 1800 hours, if you want to, you know, whatever format you use. Thankfully, it was still home, it was still here when I got home because I got home before my husband. Well, um, he had a friend come on by and help us use an appliance dolly. Uh, bring it into our home. And my husband, uh, and his friend had really noticed, um, there are the holes, uh, on the outside box, uh, containing our appliance. Um, I was, I had been busy uh, talking uh, on the phone, trying to get other things situated. Well. No sooner had, uh, the cover been removed from the, uh, freezer that they were noticing a whole bunch of dents, uh, on the appliance itself, and they said, oh, look, look at this box. There's holes in this box too.
Now. My husband has told me that in the past, he has delivered, uh, appliances, and, you know, and I formerly worked for, um, uh, Good Lord. Sears, when they were still open and alive here in in California and Sacramento, and I never had a technician tell me, well, that their appliance was dented or busted or whatever based on the delivery. And so that got that got me extremely concerned, upset, frustrated, all a whole ball in one. So I took pictures, um, last night, uh, of not just the uh, freezer, but also the box. Now, I went on the website and I started filling out a claim with UPS, and they only allowed 3 pictures. Uploaded. I had taken, of course, way more than that, like about 9 to 11.
And he says, well, "Look, it may not be the problem of UPS. It could have, it might be the problem of Home Depot." And I says, you know what? I think you're all right on that. I says, because who? In their right mind, would allow an appliance to be, uh, put on a truck, put put in transit, wherever hell got trans, uh, transported. And then given to the company, I forget the name of the company right now. Um, and to allow it to be delivered, damaged. And he says, you know what? Good question. So, I called this morning and I spoke with somebody in Mexico.
Now. I'm a person I firmly believe that way too many companies are outsourcing their customer service, um, because I'm one of those people that it's difficult for me anymore. I used to be able to understand people with with accents, but for me, it's difficult anymore. And I told the guy, I says, look, I says, I'm having a hard time understanding you today. I said, he says, well, I have and it, um, I have options for you. And I said, Okay, where are those options? And he and he told me 4 I kind of remember, I think, 3 of them. Uh, like a full refund return, uh, of the appliance. Um, The other was an exchange, uh, getting a new one, bringing back the old one. A 3rd one is a partial refund. And to be honest, like I said, I don't remember what the 4th option was that he gave me.
And I, I says, "Well, what time, uh, does your call, does your call center or whatever? Uh, what time are what are your hours? Are you 247 or are you otherwise?" He says, "Well, we're 5 to 9, 5 AM to 9 PM." And I said, "Is that central, east or Pacific?" And he says, "Well, we're central." I said and I said, "What time is it there?" And it was, to me, it was a little after 9. He says it was a little after 11. "So basically you're telling me 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. my time." He says, "Yes." I said, okay, good as long as I understand that. So I said, "Look, I'm going to have to talk to my husband, uh, see what we're going to find out. And I'll call back and we'll go from there." Okay, great. Because I had to get going to work. My husband was already at work and I didn't want to be late.
So, That comes to bring us to us and me talking to you. We both agree that we need a, um, full refund, uh, a refund, uh, replacement. We want to re- we want a replacement. Um, and here's the thing. It was not my direct payment, I did not contract with UPS. I was required by Home Depot to pay that to have a day changed. So I fully expect Home Depot to bring us a new one and take the damaged one. Oh yeah, definitely. On their dying. Because it, great because of what we were put through.

(Of course the policy is someone has to be home so I have stayed home each day for nothing). I called UPS again and was told the hold up was that they needed an RMA number. I called back with the RMA number but was then informed…I have to contact Amazon again because UPS does not do pickups…Huh???? What??.. Incredible!! UPS is incorrectly applying tariffs to items shipped from overseas. A quick google search will show they are placing a 200% tariff on items under the aluminum category, even if that item contains no aluminum. They make it next to impossible to resolve, and even after resolution the tracking shows COD due. All calls are routed to call centers overseas making communication and problem resolution difficult. Spent over 3 hours on hold to make payment of corrected duties and fees for an international shipment, only to be billed by invoice later.
Another round of hours long waits to be told to send off another round of emails to hopefully resolve this issue. Their website wants to talk about the ever-changing tariff policy, but UPS are the ones incorrectly classifying items shipped from overseas. There website seems to want to pass the buck to US Policy, but miraculously after hours of time spent and chasing down contacts, they reduce the tariff to a fraction of the cost.
I am fortune that our local UPS Drivers are great, however internally they need to take a hard look at their customer service. It is apparent they only care about volume and place blanket fees and duties on items hoping the average consumer won't spend the time and effort to get a resolution. It is also apparent they deliberately make it difficult to contact people, for on their website most numbers go to the same place and any call is then met with instructions to email so and so at ups.com. Why are these email contacts not available online? Why are there no options to resolve these issues through remote chat? Finally, I get through and the person says they can see my payment but must transfer me to another department, whose wait time is over hour?!?!! Completely Ridiculous!

The delivery of my shipment has not been completed correctly due to repeated errors in the handling of the address, which the company neither explains nor corrects, despite my multiple attempts to contact them. UPS does not provide effective communication channels: the virtual assistant does not resolve the issue, and there is no accessible human support that would allow the problem to be fixed. As a result, the consumer suffers direct harm: a significant loss of time and the inability to receive a product that has already been paid for. The package was supposed to be delivered two weeks ago, but every time the driver came to my door, they neither rang the doorbell nor knocked, so I had no way of knowing the delivery attempt was made. Instead, they only left a sticky note saying I needed to pay an additional $105 in taxes. That means for a $90 product, I am paying almost $200 in shipping and tariff charges. Since I needed the package urgently, I called UPS and waited 45 minutes on hold for customer service. I finally paid the additional amount, and the representative said they would send me the receipt, but I still haven’t received it, even after one week.

If it wasn’t for the guy I spoke with at my local UPS store, I wouldn’t have even been able to figure out how to get an actual person on the phone at UPS because their automated system is absolutely terrible and just keeps sending you back to the same queue with automated responses over and over. Do better, UPS!

Ordered a 3,000$ piece of equipment, only half was delivered, and the main package was left/forgotten in the warehouse, it's been 2 days, and still no updates. Now I am left without my machine to fulfill my client's request. The first 2 pieces were delivered, and left on my front porch where there there is no path leading to it, although there is a note on the Door Stating "all Deliveries must be left at back door" the drivers ignored this, and package was left in the rain for 4 hours.
