Before joining NDR I researched the top 10 debt relief agencies online. NDR was at the top of the list. I contacted them and Andrew ** became my counselor. The entire process of enrolling took less than an hour -- an hour wisely spent. I'm a senior citizen living on Social Sec. and a part time security officer job. My rent has gone up $100 a month for the past three years and it was that which prompted me to contact a debt relief agency. I couldn't have made a better choice. I spoke with Simon ** and also Jamie (can't remember the last name...). Both of them were super helpful, friendly, professional, and supportive of me getting out of debt. I didn't feel pressured in any way to commit to something I was uncomfortable with, in fact they constantly asked me if I was comfortable with proceeding before doing anything.

Courtesy, friendly but getting too much run around being passed from one DEPARTMENT to another being asked the same question. Everytime I get transferred to a different department I know has a lot to do with legal matters so makes me feel a little bit secure.

I enrolled with NDR in September 2019 and have been following all instructions regarding not paying my creditors and instead paying monthly toward NDR. Before this I had not one late payment and now my credit rating has dropped more than 300 points in 3 months. I understand this is how NDR works, but now I'm 3 months in and noticing the numbers don't add up... I am going to be in this program waaaay longer than anticipated or represented. NDR may have helped others who are in arrears when starting the program, but I wasn't and definitely feel as though a mistake has been made by signing up with them before getting to the point of being in arrears.

The welcome call process needs some improvement. The number comes over as a possible scam number. When the associate asks for the SSN, they are not very understanding that you are not sure who you are talking with and will not give out the SSN. They could be a little more friendly and understanding with the process and perhaps register the number so it comes up as NDR on the caller ID.

The help I received from Luis and the lady I had my welcome call with was above and beyond what I expected. They were great at clarifying any questions and making me understand that I made the correct decision, and have great help getting my situation under control. Thanks so much for the help.

Updated on 02/23/2021: I really liked the lady that I had talked to with National Debt Relief. She was really knowledgeable and she just seemed to help me out a lot. They took all of my debts, which I was paying $2,000 a month, and they put it all down into a $400 payment a month and talked to all my debtors, which really helped me out a lot. Working with them has done wonders. I'm able to live and eat.

I appreciate the help from Max and Christina. They were helpful, courteous and patient with me. I had a some doubts in the beginning but after discussing my pain points and asking questions, it was easy to see that this program was a right fit for me. I was happy to find out that my debt could be paid off quicker and with less interest. This came at a very critical time in my life when things were going crazy financially.

Updated on 09/28/2020: I had too many open debts and paying each one, it was more money every month than I could handle. I was working with a different company that didn't handle dealing with the debtors and National Debt handles all of the relations between their company and the debtors, which was helpful for me. Also, paying one lump sum every month was a big reason why I went with NDR. For the payment plan, I was given a number and I said that that would work. Working with NDR made life a little easier.

Greg ** was very informative, professional and courteous. The welcome representative (I think it was Rachel) was very responsive and repeated some of the process when I did not hear clearly. Very polite and knowledgeable. Overall it was a good experience, since this is the first time I had worked with a Debt Relief Company.
