    I was already behind my debt and I tried catching up but it just wasn’t working. So I looked into relief help because I couldn’t do it myself. I felt so much better after I made the first phone call with National Debt Relief. They've been courteous and it's been great. Since I started the program, there are a couple of times that I've run short. And when I call them up to say that I won’t be able to make my payment that month, they would say, "Oh, okay. Well, thanks for the call." I sometimes give a partial payment or do not pay at all.

    The only problem with it is, if that happens three times in a 90-day period, it's a cause for cancellation. But I'm not going to do that in three months. I make enough money to pay the monthly payments. But there were times where I had to buy some tires for my wife's car or buy a transmission for my truck. I ran short and they totally understood. But a couple of my creditors are now paid off and there is so much stress relieved. I wish I'd had done it sooner. If I had done it sooner, I probably would be done by now.

    So far we're very pleased with National Debt Relief. The person I was emailing back and forth with and then talking on the phone with is super helpful, friendly, accommodating and explained everything really well. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the explanation on how things will happen and what we needed to do. I also briefly talked to another person who confirmed everything and they were nice too. We are breathing a lot easier now that we have National Debt Relief. We were able to make ends meet because we have the unsecured credit out of our hair for the time being.     I was building up my credit and doing really well at getting everything back in order. But in 2012, I was one of the people in the Aurora Theater shooting and it messed me up as far as having everything back under control because I shut myself off from society. I lost my job and everything due to that whole incident. But I was trying to work to get myself back together again and went with National Debt Relief. Their people were good at staying in touch with me, however, I was getting calls every day when they could have just sent me an e-mail and not have to call me all the time.

    For example, when they have an agreement that they worked out for me and they want to see if I agree with it, they could contact me once a week instead of trying to contact me every day. It’s important but it gets a little annoying especially if I'm working. One problem I had with them was that one of the bills that I had put on there ended up messing me up more than if I would have done it on my own, so I ended up having to take it off. That irritated me a little bit and it probably wasn't explained as well to me as it should have been. But other than those, it was pretty good.

    The only issue I have is that you provide too much information over the phone which makes it very difficult to observe and digest. No person can get so much information in such a short period of time and remember everything he had heard, especially older people, (like me). I think you need to develop a shorter version to use over the phone, and train your representatives to talk a little bit slower.

    We are only able to pay the minimum amount on our debt. We were constantly paying and not going anywhere. Then life happened, I needed to help my parents out, and I had to look for other things. I know some places that offered a loan to settle it but they didn't do that well. I applied them in the program in seven months and NDR teamed up with Liberty National Bank or Federal Bank. They pre-approved me for $9100 for a loan that I just have to pay them. With that, I don't have to keep worrying about the debt.

    National Debt Relief pays the creditors $310 a month, that now I have to pay NDR. Our credit doesn't take a huge hit because of not paying these creditors and then the court sets fees and that builds up. Now, since I have the Liberty loan, it would help me build my credit back because they're gonna record it. Then, within the first month, I had a settlement done and one of the creditors was paid off.

    Some of these creditors make you think like you're gonna be in jail for asking to push payments back. So I appreciate that NDR tells me what could happen and what could interrupt my settlement. Because I'm doing the best I can do and if the money's not gonna be there, I don't need to get an insufficient funds fee to one that cost me more money. Also, they were nice and professional. The only thing that I did not like is, it seems like people didn't read the note from the accounts first before they start calling anybody. You could've had an email and then you click, except for the offer, and then here they are calling you and if I'm at work, I only answer my phone until I'm on break and sometimes, there'll be three or four phone calls before I could call them back.

    I've been having hardships and these last couple of months, I had an even bigger hardship. I'm a disabled veteran and I didn't get good treatment from the VA. I set up a lawsuit and then they took some of my money so it's hard for me to live and I need income. I served them and I had no problem doing what they asked me to do but now, here I am needing their help and what they do is create a bigger problem instead. It was just a bad situation and VA portrayed themselves as looking out for veterans but that is not necessarily true all the time. I lost my home and I missed out on some of my payments.     With the situation that my husband and I were in, I was looking for something to help us pay off our debt without going through bankruptcy. I found National Debt Relief researching online. They would call me when one of my creditors have decided to negotiate and we came in agreement to settle. They would ask me if I agree with them going forward and I would say yes or no and then a confirmation email would be sent to me stating that I agreed with them.     I signed up for this program through the Internet, after completion of information needed I submitted through the Internet and received a follow-up call within an hour with a Debt Specialist. The Debt Specialist was very courteous, understanding and made me feel better about myself.     I didn't want to go into debt and bankruptcy was the least thing I wanted. I needed debt relief help, so I looked into it. I signed up for the services of National Debt Relief about a year ago. The rep was very friendly and compassionate, and said, "We're here to help you." He explained everything thoroughly. He said, "We get all your information, run your credit, and see how much debt you are in. We can save you about 25% or up to 50%. We will help you manage what we need to do. We have a third party bank that the money goes in. Then we draw from the money that's accumulated in that separate bank account. It is your money all the time. You can quit the program whenever you want and there's no penalty in that." I like that. It was nice and sounded good. The other thing that I like was that they were registered with the Better Business Bureau, so they are legitimate.

    Working with them has made it a lot easier and manageable for me, because they take the money right out of my account, and then they work on trying to solve these credit card bills that I have. Some are small and some are really big. I have 10 credit card debts that they're working on, and they have already solved a couple of them. They definitely keep me informed on every move they do. They're very sympathetic and understanding.

    However, one time out of all the times I'd spoken with these people, I had someone with a very small attitude. Everybody was so nice, that for there to be somebody with so small type of attitude and then all of a sudden was barking a little, I need to let somebody know. That wasn't cool. It makes a person feel a little uneasy when they're dealing with my money. But they took care of it and they were understanding about it. They spoke to the person and everything was resolved. Once again, I got back on the bandwagon and I was really happy with the work they do.

They would do what they actually said that they would do so in that sense I had to follow through. I also looked at its rating on the Better Business Bureau and found that it was the top-rated available. I did call and inquire to get information. The staff is very polite and they're always willing to explain things to me when I'm not exactly very well-minded in economic policies. They have always walked me through it very patiently.

    My job gave me a big pay cut so I couldn’t afford to deal with my debt anymore, so I had to seek the help of National Debt Relief. Some of their reps were very helpful and some were not. In fact, in my call before my last call with them, I asked for some information and the guy didn’t seem he wanted to help out at all. He gave a brief run-through of a script he was reading. I’ve had a couple of calls that way. A lot of my calls has a little run-around. Either some of the information wasn’t thrown out or either I forgot it, or I didn’t understand it when I first went through it all. For instance, they said there were negotiation fees but they didn’t really break it down when I first went through it. So the negotiation fees ended up more than I expected.

    I’m glad it’s done but a heads-up on how they figured the negotiation fees would have been nice when they first talk to the people. And there was more confusion with the rest of the calls because when I talk to one person I get one story, and when I call back a month or so later, I get a completely different story. They're not really explaining things clearly therefore, there’s a lot of confusion. But I did have a few ladies that I talked to that were very helpful and resolved some of my confusion quite easily. Now, I don’t have the debt I had and it gave me a little bit more understanding of how they operate.

    I researched National Debt Relief out of several listings of debt settlement companies then looked them up and contacted them. I gave them a listing of all my creditors and they looked up my credit report and we came to a structured payment agreement based on the number of creditors that I can put into the program. From there, we decided how much I can afford to pay monthly to pay off those creditors and so we set up a certain amount that would come out of my checking account bi-weekly. Then whenever they reach a settlement arrangement, they contact me by email and phone call and ask me if I want to settle with a creditor based on the settlement amount that they were able to get for me.

    National Debt Relief has been good with working with my creditors and helping to pay off my debt. They've paid off two and I have a third one that's gonna be setup and payment's gonna be made this month. They've been working really good on my behalf and saving me money on the total balance of my debt. They seem to be really reasonable to accommodate me to try to make it as easy on me as possible to try to still continually get my debt paid and making some arrangements if I need to stop a payment or if I can't make a monthly payment or even restructure how a payment is gonna be made.

I've had telephone and email contact, and now I have access to a page to monitor how everything is being broken down. One time I got called out and they said that they have a debtor that has agreed to settle but in addition to all the monthly payments I've been making, they need x number of dollars right then in order to settle.     The few times that I called National Debt Relief, they were very helpful especially that they notify me in different ways, if an arrangement has been done, and what is going to be the conditions of the arrangement, and if they might approve it. The only thing is that the process is slow. Setting up an arrangement with each vendor is taking too long and it really depends on the consolidation company making that. But other than that, everything is going fine. The consolidation is really working for me. It's helping me go through my hardships. Also, communication has been on time and it's been working great.

    When I was maxed out on my credit cards and VA disability, I called National Debt Relief. After I talked to one person, immediately, the ball was rolling. That person definitely knew the job and had a really good business and education, and that's the doorway opening. National helped me out a bunch. Anytime I call, I'm only on hold for 20 seconds. When the VA stopped my pay for a couple of months, I was able to call them and pull out money from my savings account and they were able to move the money around so that I'd still able to pay off my debt. And whenever I have the extra money, I just send it straight to them. I call them and they pull it right off my account. Other than my mortgage, I will be debt-free eight months from now. If I'd done it through the conventional ways, I'd be swimming in debt for the next six years, at least. I'd recommend them to anyone who has a lot of credit card debt. I had a great time with National and I would do it again.

    With National Debt Relief, I have paid off my highest debt. Their communication to help and talk to me has been fantastic. Creditors always called me and when I got sued, I called National Debt Relief and they talked to my creditors about it.
