    We had a lot of debt. We were paying it and we tried to make it as long as we could on just my income. My wife was in school and we got to a point where I couldn’t do it anymore so I finally cracked. It took me about three years to finally realize that we needed some way to get a relief so we got in touch with National Debt Relief. I get periodic calls from them to update all my accounts and let me know where I stand, what bills are being paid off and then if there’s any way I can add extra so we can start looking into closing the other accounts out. They work with me as far as they wanted an 'x' amount per month and I couldn’t do that. It was better for me to do by paycheck and they worked with me on that so that helped me out. National Debt Relief has relieved a lot of financial stress I had and tension in the house. It was a relief and a comforting experience. I’d recommended them to a family member, a friend and to anybody.

    The team at National Debt Relief seem to be a little bit rushed. In the couple of times that I have either called to ask questions or been on the phone with them, I got the impression that they were trying to hurry and get me to finish up whatever my question was or get me off the phone. But other than that, they were polite and it wasn't too bad with them.

    But working with NDR was not exactly what I imagined. I expected the process to take quite a while. It makes sense that it would take a length of time. But I didn't realize how negatively it would affect my credit score in the beginning. I got those notifications over and over again on my credit score. It's dropping lower and lower because of late payment. That was one thing that took me by surprise. Part of it was due to my ignorance with the program itself. I didn't realize that was how it worked and didn't understand the process going in as much as I would have liked to. It wasn't explained to me at all as far as that goes.

    I assumed, which was my fault, that they would contact the creditors immediately to let them know that I was in the process of working with them, rather than needing that length of time before contacting any of the creditors. I didn't realize that they don't contact the creditors until they are able to work out an agreement. So, in the meantime, those creditors don't hear anything, and when they finally get a hold of me through other avenues, then they're really frustrated, which is understandable. During this process, it's very discouraging knowing that all those accounts are still out there, although I didn't expect all the accounts to be cleared immediately. Nevertheless, NDR was definitely a big help in taking care of those debts.

    It will be a year for me being with National Debt Relief in July and they have paid out two creditors so far. The creditors don’t call anymore and I reckon National Debt Relief is doing what they said they were gonna do. However, I thought they’d pay off all of the credit in one time when I first started but it doesn't work like that. Still, it's been a fair experience and it went through okay.     I had a credit card debt that I knew I wasn’t going to be able to pay. So I called National Debt Relief and listened to what they had to say and it seemed all legit and fair and so I went with it. I’ve been with them for three years and my whole account should be done in July. What they do is negotiate with all of my creditors individually. I make biweekly payments and when they have a certain amount in my account, they work on negotiating with someone and when they come up with an offer for them, the creditor agrees to that. They then contact me and make sure that it’s okay with me before they go forward with it.

    Working with National Debt Relief has been very helpful. They contact you when any new update or anything’s changing. Every time when I call in, they ask if I can up my payment or tell me, “Let us know if anything happens" to "Where we might need to adjust your payment if you come in to some kind of financial hardship like getting ready to probably be laid off." So if that happens, then I’ll contact them and they may lower my payment and might stretch it out just a little bit longer. They work with you on that.

    It does make my credit score go down because it shows that I’m not making payments to those creditors. They tell you before you sign up for it, “If you think you’re going to be purchasing a vehicle or something like that, you might not want to do that or know that you’re not gonna be able to do that once this starts because your credit score is gonna be hurt.” I would have to rebuild it. But once it’s all gone and paid off, then it will start showing just all of my regular every day or monthly payments towards other things that go towards my credit score and then they’ll eventually rise on its own. I could go out and get another credit card to make it get better faster but I’m not going to do that. They’re very tempting.

    My dad had a lot of debt so he wanted to consolidate them. I researched different companies online and I was the one who told him about National Debt Relief. We had six credit cards but they only took care of two which I don't understand because they gave me a two-year timeline that everything's going to be done. We're about to hit the first year so I'm trying to find out how we're going to finish the rest of the credit cards before the two year mark. Also, there are some credit cards where the balance is really low so I'm wondering why we aren’t paying those off first. But generally, they were very friendly and helpful.     I knew somebody that did National Debt Relief's whole program and it helped them out so I thought it couldn’t hurt to try. The team has helped me out a lot. Anytime I call, they’ve been able to answer any questions or concern that I've had. They gave me an estimate of about a year or so and I just passed that year, which is fine. I’ve been able to at least get almost two of my creditors down right now. I finished one of them and then I got another one that’s in the process. They do all the talking to the creditors who have stopped calling me.     I am a 50-something divorced woman who got in over my head with some debt after my divorce. I owed $15,000 on 7 different accounts and couldn't see any way of ever paying them off because of the high-interest rates and only being able to pay the minimum each month. I saw NDR advertised on TV and decided to call and find out what they could do for me.

    Long story short: 2-1/2 years later, after paying NDR over $9,000 of my hard-earned money they only settled 3 of my accounts with balances of $8800. They did NOT settle 2 of them, and 2 others went to Judgments! MY CREDIT IS RUINED and I now have to pay the Judgments which will end up costing me far more than I owed. When they say they will provide legal help if you are sued, it's the worst "legal help" I've ever experienced. It's all done through email and you have to file everything yourself AND you are charged for the "legal help"!!!

    NDR gets their $ by charging you FEES for their very limited services, making a few phone calls. For example, I originally owed $6,000 to Discover. They "settled" it for $4100 and charged me $1500 in fees!!! How is this a benefit to me??? I would have been better off making payment arrangements on my own. I put $400/month into my "account" with them which I could have used to just pay the debts myself. My credit is the worst it's ever been and will likely take many years to recover, if ever. Think long and hard before you sign up for this program. There are other ways to protect your credit and pay things off. I wish I had read a review like this before I ever went down the NDR road!!! I wish I could give them "ZERO" stars.

    I looked into relief help as besides being massively in debt and going months going, "Okay, what can I pay this month?", I was trying to get the most out of everything. I picked National Debt Relief by reading people's comments and reviews and working with National Debt Relief has been a relief.     We had too much credit card debt. We had tried other ways to get out of debt but it wasn't helpful. Moreover, we had some medical bills that we had put on our credit card. It got to the point where we were paying bills but didn't have money to do anything else. We found National Debt Relief on the internet and they have been very helpful. Before, we were always nervous and frightened about spending. NDR worked out how much we had to put in the bank every month. They had us putting $300 less than our bills in their bank. Since then, we've been putting that money away and saving it. Also, some of our credit card companies have settled with us for a lot less than we owed. We got one card paid off already and we're in the middle of another one. Now, NDR is working on a third credit card.

    NDR's team was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They hold your hand. Last week, I talked to them and they sent me an email which I didn't understand. I called them and they told me not to worry as they are here to support me. We're in their program for about four years. Before, we thought maybe there was a way to throw a budget together that would help us. Still, there was no miracle until we found NDR. Now, we can sleep at night and we don't worry about our debt.

    I was talking to National Debt Relief representative and they tell me that I need to contact each of the payday loan companies to tell them that I want to stop the automatic withdrawal from my checking account. I have done what they asked and I am still having funds being debited from my personal checking account. I thought if I am paying for a service, and I am giving them the right to talk in my behalf, basically, a power of attorney, why am I having to do their job?     I called three of the credit card companies that I owed money to. I needed them to reduce the interest rate so I could continue payment, but all of them said they couldn’t help me. I used the money on the credit cards to buy commodities. And when the market didn’t go up, I was able to sell the commodities off to pay for the credit cards. I explained this to all three credit card companies but they all said, “The only way we could help you is if you stop payments on this and then we could come back and negotiate a deal with you.” And I thought, “How stupid is that?” I’m telling them what my problem is and they have a record of my prompt payment for years. That wouldn’t work.

    I had to have some debt relief and so I called National Debt Relief and got started. If the credit card companies had agreed to help me along, I never would have had to use NDR. They reduced my payments from $4500 to $1795 a month and that helped. The NDR team have all been very pleasant. When I had a question, they would answer. If they couldn’t answer it then, they would call me back. So, I’ve been very, very happy with the service they’ve provided. This was one way I could solve my dilemma where it has caused my credit rating to plummet from 840 down to 690. But in my esteemed age, I have no use for a good credit rating. NDR has been very helpful and I have no qualms about recommending them.

    I wanted to better my credit and clear my debts. I looked into relief help and it seemed like a legitimate way of getting my debts paid in a very short time. I also wanted to get a credit because, at that time, I was thinking about my future like buying a house, a car and I knew I couldn’t do any of those things with my credit.     National Debt Relief has been a life saver for me. I was in an accident a couple of years ago and lost my job doing in-home care. I was going to get certified from the state of Washington, got a head-on collision and I wasn't able to even take the test or allowed to lift certain weights anymore. I lost what I was going to be doing. I'd already been retired twice and then this was going to be a supplemental. I was expecting a lot more from my insurance to kick in and it barely covered anything. I was left with all these charge cards that I charged up because I was expecting to get a settlement. I'm on a fixed income and social security so I was drowning, stressing out all the time.

    I called National Debt Relief after I heard them on the radio. It's going to take me about three years or more to get everything settled but it has been taking such a whole weight off my shoulders. I'm still really tight as far as the money but nothing like it was and not all these interest and phone calls, and it was horrible. I don't have any credit cards now and I don't plan on getting any but I talked to somebody recently about agreeing to a new settlement for one of the credit card companies.     I was having financial problems when my husband lost his job. He was a police officer for 25 years and then he retired. His retirement helped some, basically pays the house payments. But he needed to get another job and finding a niche after you're in that profession, that's all he knows.     Our kids are getting older and our needs are getting more. We earn good money but more was going on my credit card debts because that’s when we were struggling. We were getting frustrated in our life so we decided it was the right time to get relief help. We were searching online about the different companies then we've come across National Debt Relief. We called them, and James, the agent who we were talking to, was an awesome guy. He explained to us everything. The first call was just a welcome call, then they called me with all the information, emailed and then signed. Finally, they enrolled all of my cards and they started negotiating with them.

    I liked the process and it’s not too much. National Debt Relief kept us updated with every information by calling or emailing me. Once I approve it, then it'll go further from there. But the interest rate is truly high in my eyes. The fees they are charging was 21%. People are coming to them because they're already struggling to get debt relief. I told the rep about it, and he said he cannot do anything on that. Then I talked to a couple other representatives and everything was good. If somebody in the higher department can read this, see if they can do something for people coming to them with the intention of relieving the debt. I know the interest rate includes all the lawyer fees and all that, but surely, 21% is a bit higher. Otherwise, everything is good. National Debt Relief is awesome. Right now, our situation’s just getting better but we're hoping it would be much better after we are done completely.

    I thought of looking into relief help so I could consolidate my bills and not go bankrupt. I sought help from National Debt Relief and the interactions I had with their team have been good. I’ve had a hard time sometimes understanding how the money works though and I feel like I didn’t get a good explanation about that. For example, I have a bill that they're paying $100 a month off, and I'm giving them $300. I'm then wondering why they can't pay more on that bill but I've never been able to get a good and straight answer on that, and I'm a little confused. Other than that, they've been very helpful, always reassuring, and keeping me up to date on things. They've also done well with negotiating and I would recommend them. They’re there when one calls them and are willing to answer any questions, so I'm happy with that.
