    I had graduated from school and wasn’t getting any student loans. I didn’t have a job as there’s a nine-month period before I could start working so I wasn’t able to make my payments. Someone from National Debt Relief called and explained everything to me. I have to approve when they negotiate and I have received an email notifying me to get my approval. They have worked out one of my debts but they don’t communicate much so I don’t really know what’s going on. There’s one of my debts that they’re paying for about $20 a month but I feel like the process has taken a long time. I am working now so I would rather pay that off and get the debt behind me but when I go online, there’s no way to get more money or do a one-time deposit. It’s kind of a hard process. If I wanna do an extra payment, I’m not able to add a different bank to do that.

    I had a premature daughter and we were struggling with the medical bills. I was using my credit cards to help the daily living so trying to pay all those just became hard.     Working with National Debt Relief has helped me get back on track with paying down debt, which I needed to do and it looks like I'm on track for completing that within the next year.     I like working with National Debt Relief. They're very good and nice people. Their personnel is very knowledgeable as well. They're helping me get rid of my debt. I've had some trouble since the passing of my husband and it's somewhat hard for me to get back on track. Then, the creditors wouldn't work directly with me. Some of them still didn't work with me. About five went into collections. But, NDR is still able to settle with them so I have two more left.

    NDR set up the program for me and each time that they make a settlement with my creditors, they always call me first. They don't assume that it's acceptable to me. They keep me informed too. So, they really work with me. They quite take that pressure off and they also lower bills. I have one account that I owed $4,000 and they settled it for like $900. I hope this won't happen to me again. It's a very frustrating situation. On the whole, it's beyond my expectation because I didn't think that it would go as smoothly and quickly as it's going. NDR surprised me so much.

    My experience though long, was very cordial. The CSR was very accurate and explained things carefully. The only negative was that when reading or explaining, the CSR needed to be asked to slow down. It is normal I find, for younger ones to speak quickly. As a former CSR myself, I know that older ones need time to hear and digest what is being said. The welcome call was long and was repeat basically of yesterday's information provided.     I keep seeing my credit get worse and worse. So, I figured I need to get a hold of them and start doing something about them.     I looked into the website and I looked at the reviews and looked at what the Better Business Bureau had to say and it's accredited to the BBB. Everybody I spoken with at National Debt Relief were able to answer questions. It's been about a year since I signed up. They said they would be able take care of my debts with a 20-month timeframe. But I thought they said it was stretched out to 30 months.

    I log into my account pretty much on a daily basis to see if there's any type of agreements that they have made with other companies to help pay things off. But I'm not sure exactly how because right now I'm really struggling financially. It would be nice if they could negotiate with some of the creditors and if I have a better timeframe on estimate when I'll be done with the program because you can only live from paycheck-to-paycheck for a certain amount of time before you just throw up your hands and you just want to give up. That will give me some peace of mind. Right now, it's like I don't know when I'll be completing with the program. But they're doing everything that they could possibly do.

    I recently got divorced and it put me in a bad financial situation. I had about $9,000 in credit card debt that I was left with from the divorce.     I got to the point where I needed to do something other than file a bankruptcy so I had done a little bit of research. The ratings that National Debt Relief got made me choose them. We usually interact through email but I was contacted by phone a couple of times. In all situations they were very professional.     I was Googling debt management plans and saw National Debt Relief. They were quick in responding and they were easy to get a hold of. They ultimately gave me a price in terms that were lower than another quote I received. We were looking for ways to get out of debt with the monthly payment paying less than we're paying out to our creditors because we were just going under and they were very helpful in building that plan that worked for us.

    I had my own personal rep who I could email or call and she was so fast to get back to me. And so, instead of being on hold, she was my direct person. And that was just so helpful. I had all kinds of little questions, setting things up and she just answered them quick or pass me along to someone higher up who could. We send them a message that says, "Please if you want to contact us. This is our address." And it's National Debt Relief's address. "This is the phone number for them."

    They tell us what to say to the creditors and how to phrase it that we were working on paying them off and then they start accumulating our funds. And then if I get emails that actually do come through to me instead of through to them, I forward them onto them and they work with those creditors to settle the debts. They've settled four debts for us and we haven't even been with them for a year yet. Plus the payments are reasonable compared to what we were paying out. Being with them has definitely been a benefit to helping us in a situation we were in and then not have harassing calls and just have someone else help us control the finances on the debt.

    When we contacted NDR they looked up our credit report and then gave us a list of creditors that they would help us with. They then told us that it might take as long as a couple of months to reach settlements on all of the accounts. After paying for 3 months they have settled one account and have informed me today that they may, repeat may, have the rest settled within the next 6 to 8 months! I feel like I have lied to, but they are saying that they are sorry that I "may have been misinformed" and that I still need to get them more information before they can work on some of the accounts. After 3 months of payments they still do not have all the information that they need! If I had known then what I know now about them I would never have agreed to use them.

    I had loss of income in the beginning. My income was 65% lower than I used to have and I was not able to keep up with the payment so I tried to consolidate and started the program with National Debt Relief.     I looked into relief help to get rid of the credit cards. I had made mistakes and I had bad advice but I figured bankruptcy was not the way to go. I've been paying interest prior to going to National Debt Relief. I was paying about 1% to Wells Fargo and 5.9% to Barkley. I knew how the program was going and I knew they were charging about $35 a month. That was their fee. But when Toyota wanted their money, they didn't handle the creditor that I was working with. So, when I saw National Debt Relief's advertisements I ended the program that I had and went with them. They were able to handle everybody and they got everybody under one roof. We negotiated and Toyota rode off what I owed. They got a tax break out on me from what I owed on at least so that turned out good.

    The team members know what they're talking about. They're knowledgeable. With my debt, the remaining creditors weren't going to sue me because they knew I was in the program. The only thing was that I'm trying to figure out for the $12 or whatever they're charging for the legal thing, that's a waste of money. That money could have been plied to the monthly payment that I was making. I got the monthly payment down to where I can handle. They kept saying, "If you have more, give it to us." But, when you're on a fixed income with a pension, Social Security, that doesn't happen.

    I got two credit cards left. One would be paid off in July and the other one, Wells Fargo, when they negotiated the percentage with what I wanted, I should have them paid off by November or by the end of the year. We're almost done by the end of the year and my credit scores are coming up. I checked on with the Credit Karma and they showed me what I got. The more payments I'm making the score keeps going up.

    I could not get a consolidation loan so instead of filing bankruptcy, I chose to go for a relief help with National Debt Relief.     The online reviews from previous consumers convinced me to go with National Debt Relief. When I initially called, a gentleman took the account up for me. He was very friendly. I asked about the process and he provided me with a lot of information. He also informed me that once all the accounts were paid up, all the negative feedback from the creditors would be removed and I would gradually see my credit increase.

    But then months later, I spoke with another representative who said that's not the case. It would be up to the creditors to remove all the negative feedback. I said that wasn't what I was told before I set up and that I would not have went that route otherwise. He just apologized and said they don’t go back. They said one thing before I set up the whole account and then when I'm well into it, they say something different. That just threw me for a loop.

    Another thing that was not made clear to me were the fees. Before actually starting, they just told me I'll be paying over $2,000 in fees. Initially, I thought that's a lot but then I wasn't give a great detailed breakdown of how much the fees were or what they were for until much later. Then I saw all these other different fees. I didn't expect that and it is more than what they had estimated initially. But I felt I just had to get it done and once it’s finished, I’ll be fine.

    The best part of it is that they do work rigorously with the creditors to try to get a settlement and there is continuous communication between them, the creditor, and the consumer. Plus, they kept correspondence with me. They let me know when a creditor has agreed to a settlement offer and I had the convenience of going online to check what the settlement offer is and whether I wanted to accept or reject it. Then I can make payments towards it to pay it off.
